Stand apart from the Pharisees of today

1 Kings 22:30 - And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, I will
disguise myself, and enter into the battle; but put thou on thy robes.
And the king of Israel disguised himself, and went into the battle.

If one reads 1 Kings chapters 21 and 22, we see that doom was
prophesied against Ahab the King of Israel and son of Jezebel. Jezebel
was one of the only queens written in the Bible and also symbolically
mentioned in the book of Revelations. Ahab was king and puppet in the
hands of Jezebel. King Jehoshaphat although being a good man made a
grave mistake of joining hands with Ahab the King of Israel (thinking
of him as brethren Israelite) and not separating himself from this
evil king.

The Lord did bless Ahab in the beginning but yet he continued to do
all that which was not right in the eyes of God because he was under
the influence of his mother Jezebel. They were warned by the prophet
Micaiah but they preferred to listen to the deceiving spirit from the
Lord which spoke through all the other prophets.

King Ahab did die as prophesied and King Jehoshaphat got himself in
serious trouble in the battle field due to not listening to the Word
of the Lord. Had King Jehoshaphat separated himself from King Ahab, he
could have been immensely blessed, may have been like King David was
blessed.

The message to us from today's scripture is again telling us to
separate ourselves from the so called Christian brothers who do not
walk according to the Word of God. Separating ourselves does not mean
socially boycotting them or keeping physical distance from them.

We as Christians need to love them as we love any unbeliever, but in
our relationship with God we should be very clearly separated from
these so called Christians. We should have none of their
understandings, traditions or whatever they do incorporated into our
relationship with God. We should make it clear to the world that we do
not have the same understanding as them when it comes to our
relationship with God.

Christianity is not a religion but a relationship with God. All
throughout the Bible in both Old and New the Lord talks about building
relationship with Him and his people. Even the Commandments are based
on the same.

God hates people who make Christianity a religion. We can see this in
the Pharisees who were once upon a time heroes (they led the fight
against Antioch, the group which was led by John of the book of
Maccabeus were later called Pharisees) and after they became religious
people they became so hard in heart that Jesus had to use words like
'children of devil', 'white washed tombs' and 'serpents, generation of
vipers' for them.

Let us stand apart from these Pharisees of today, if we need to
receive our blessings.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You created all mankind and You know each and everyone according
to one's heart. You use all for your glory, even Pharaoh was used for
your glory. Lord, the time is near and now wherein You separate your
people from those who have misrepresented You on earth and prevented
man from knowing You. Lord we pray for all the sheep who still have to
come to know You, that they may hear your voice and stand apart, so as
to not be hurt in any way...

We make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
1 King 22:14-23, 29-36
14 And Micaiah said, As the LORD liveth, what the LORD saith unto me,
that will I speak.
15 So he came to the king. And the king said unto him, Micaiah, shall
we go against Ramothgilead to battle, or shall we forbear? And he
answered him, Go, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the
hand of the king.
16 And the king said unto him, How many times shall I adjure thee
that thou tell me nothing but that which is true in the name of the
LORD?
17 And he said, I saw all Israel scattered upon the hills, as sheep
that have not a shepherd: and the LORD said, These have no master: let
them return every man to his house in peace.
18 And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee
that he would prophesy no good concerning me, but evil?
19 And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the LORD: I saw the
LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him
on his right hand and on his left.
20 And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and
fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on
that manner.
21 And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and
said, I will persuade him.
22 And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go
forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.
And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and
do so.
23 Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the
mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil
concerning thee.
29 So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to
Ramothgilead.
30 And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, I will disguise
myself, and enter into the battle; but put thou on thy robes. And the
king of Israel disguised himself, and went into the battle.
31 But the king of Syria commanded his thirty and two captains that
had rule over his chariots, saying, Fight neither with small nor
great, save only with the king of Israel.
32 And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw
Jehoshaphat, that they said, Surely it is the king of Israel. And they
turned aside to fight against him: and Jehoshaphat cried out.
33 And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots perceived
that it was not the king of Israel, that they turned back from
pursuing him.
34 And a certain man drew a bow at a venture, and smote the king of
Israel between the joints of the harness: wherefore he said unto the
driver of his chariot, Turn thine hand, and carry me out of the host;
for I am wounded.
35 And the battle increased that day: and the king was stayed up in
his chariot against the Syrians, and died at even: and the blood ran
out of the wound into the midst of the chariot.
36 And there went a proclamation throughout the host about the going
down of the sun, saying, Every man to his city, and every man to his
own country.

John 8:39-45
39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus
saith unto them, If ye were Abraham€ ’²s children, ye would do the works
of Abraham.
40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth,
which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.
41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not
born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.
42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me:
for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but
he sent me.
43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye
will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the
truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he
speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

Revelation 2:19-23
19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy
patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.
20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou
sufferest that woman Jezebel [Hebrew mean € ’±Ball exalts€ ’², € ’±Baal is
husband to€ ’²], which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to
seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed
unto idols.
21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery
with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches
shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I
will give unto every one of you according to your works.

Psalms 1:1-3
1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the
scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he
meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that
bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not
wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
