A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Make peace with the past so it does not mess up your present.
OLD & NEW

"Then He (MESSIAH YESHUA) said to them (disciples), 'Therefore every
scribe instructed concerning the Kingdom of Heaven is like a householder
who brings out of his treasure things new and old." [Matthew 13. 52]
Scribes were responsible for the careful recopying of the HOLY
SCRIPTURES and were recognized as expert interpreters of the SACRED
WORD. Furthermore, being considered lawyers, the Scribes applied the
"Laws of Moses" to the people's lives. Unfortunately, in JESUS' time,
they had become so proud and self-righteous, they claimed their own
interpretations and traditions to be equal to that of the HOLY
SCRIPTURES. Therefore, the LORD JESUS frequently had to rebuke them.
[Matthew 15. 1 - 3; 23. 1 - 28]
Nevertheless, they were students of SCRIPTURE, and some of them loved
and used GOD'S HOLY WORD reverently and accurately. It was these
Scribes to whom YESHUA ha'MASHIACH complimented in Matthew 13:3-50,
comparing them to the head of a great house with treasures in it who
could bring them out from time to time for the instruction and delight
of all. For these were the Scribes who understood the message of the
Kingdom of Heaven in the OLD COVENANT and related it to the GOSPEL of
the Kingdom of Heaven in the teachings of the LORD JESUS.
"Things new and old!" In the treasury of GOD'S REVEALED Word, the
one who is "instructed" in the Kingdom of Heaven, the OLD & new Covenant
finds inexhaustible stores to teach. "Open my eyes, that I may perceive
the wonders of YOUR teaching. All YOUR precepts are unfailing and sure"
-- affirmed the psalmist. "Forever, O LORD, YOUR WORD stands firm in
heaven." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 18, 89 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
No exciting new truth in SCRIPTURE is ever really new, for it was there
all along, even before the world began. The OLD COVENANT and the NEW
COVENANT never contradict, only compliment and explain each other. The
OLD establishes the background and the NEW fulfills: "YOUR precepts
concerning all things are wondrous, just and right." [Psalms (Tehillym)
119. 128 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Both the OLD well-known and loved doctrines
of Scripture, and the stirring NEW insights which further illuminate are
there waiting in the Covenants, the Old through the New. Loving the
LORD OF HOSTS, the GOD OF ISRAEL and living in HIS WRITTEN WORD will
bring an endless delight and priceless treasure to the person who will
study it completely. Therefore, go forth and learn!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Life is a blessing! You are an integral part of GOD'S plan; the
favour of the LORD'S blessings are brought by HIS good pleasure.
Consider your latter end: fear the LORD GOD, the HOLY CREATOR, take heed
to HIS counsel, seek understanding.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
No steam or gas drives anything until it is confined. . . No life ever
grows until it is focused, dedicated and disciplined.

PEACE IN TRIBULATION

"HE (ELOHIYM) may well slay me, I may have no hope, yet will I trust in
HIM. Even so, I will argue my case before HIM. In this too, HE is my
salvation: That no impious man can come into HIS PRESENCE." [Job (Iyob)
13. 15 - 16 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
The HOLY ONE HIMSELF declared that the patriarch Job (Hebrew: Iyowb) was
the most blameless and upright man in all the earth who fears ELOHIYM
and shuns evil. [Job/Iyob 1. 8] Yet, Job was subjected to the most
severe testing that anyone (except for MESSIAH YESHUA) ever had to
endure. Job lost all his great possessions and family the same day,
then was afflicted for long span of time with a loathsome and painful
plaguing disease. Even his friends (?) no longer honoured him and even
accused him of being a wicked sinner and an arrogant hypocrite. Worst
of all, the Almighty ONE Whom he had loved and faithfully served all his
life had apparently completely ignored his prayers for deliverance, or
at least for an understanding of why these sufferings were coming upon
him. Finally, a presumptuous young religionist falsely related what he
claimed was a divine message, that even GOD accused Job of sin and
hypocrisy.
Nevertheless, Job never lost his faith and integrity! Job confirmed,
"I know that my VINDICATOR (REDEEMER) lives; in the end HE will stand
and testify on the earth" and "though HE slay me, yet will I trust
HIM… HE too is my SALVATION." [Job (Iyob) 19. 25; 13. 15a & 16a
Tanakh, Kethuvim]
With Job's life as an example for us today, we can know that GOD ETERNAL
is the ONE WHO created us and deserves absolute trust. HIS PRECIOUS
WORD, was given to us along with HIS endless love and great salvation
through faith in GOD'S ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, JESUS THE CHRIST OF CALVARY.
This is a segment of the promises we have set before us. Whatever our
plight, we know the MIGHTY ONE OF ISRAEL is in complete control. "By
day the LORD will command HIS loving-kindness and faithful care, so that
at night a song to HIM may be with me, a prayer to the GOD of my life."
[Psalms (Tehillym) 42. 8 Tanakh, Kethuvim] And with a song in the
night, we will ever have gladness of heart. [Isaiah/Yeshayah 30. 29]
As we go through this world and the difficulties and persecutions. . .
remember what our BLESSED REDEEMER taught us while HE was on earth:
"But these things I have told you, that when the time comes, you may
remember that I told you of them. And these things I did not say to you
at the beginning, because I was with you. These things I have spoken to
you, that in ME you may have peace. IN THE WORLD YOU WILL HAVE
TRIBULATION; BUT BE OF GOOD CHEER, I have overcome the world." [John 16.
4, 33] Assuredly, we truly can put all our hope and trust in our
LOVING LORD JESUS, the RIGHTEOUS JUDGE.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
As we bid farewell to Shabbath, we share the blessed hope that every day
will be as sweet as Shabbat… a rest of love freely given in truth
and sincerity -- a rest in peace and tranquility, quiet and safety –
a perfect rest in which you find favour of the LORD YESHUA! Have a good
week, may gladness reign and joy increase.
"Nahamu, Nahamu Ami"...timeless words that are translated, "Comfort, Oh
comfort MY people." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 40.1 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Post  Admin Sat 17 Jul 2010, 12:52 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
We are not what we think we are; but, what we think, we are.

CUSTOMS - SH'MA
"Sh'ma Yisrael YEHOWAH ELOHEYNU, YEHOWAH Echad." [Hear, O Israel! The
LORD our GOD, the LORD is ONE!] "You shall love the LORD your GOD with
all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. Take to
heart these instructions with which I charge you this day. Impress them
diligently upon your children. Recite them when you stay at home, and
when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise up. Bind them as
a sign on your hand and let them serve as a frontlet (symbol) between
your eyes (on your forehead); inscribe them on the doorposts of your
house and on your gates." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 6. 4 – 9 Tanakh,
Torah]

The Sh'ma proclaims the covenant between OMNIPOTENT GOD and man,
between body and soul and mind and heart, between life at home and life
in society, between parents and children, between the material and the
spiritual. Under GOD'S love, all become one. An old Jewish say is to
the effect that "he who utters the Sh'ma is as if he held a two-edged
sword." Accurately, the WORD OF GOD is compared to the sharpest of
martial arms, "the two-edged sword." [Revelation 1. 16 & Hebrews 4. 12]
An observant Jew will say the Sh'ma at least twice a day, the first
thing upon arising and the last thing at night.

"Hear O Israel! The LORD our GOD, the LORD is ONE!" The first verse
expresses our "acceptance of the yoke of the KINGDOM OF HEAVEN." GOD is
ONE and HE is unique. HIS ONENESS transcends all other forms of
oneness. GOD'S oneness is absolute. HE is like no other and human
beings cannot fully comprehend HIM.

"with all your heart" - do good deeds (mitzvahs) wholeheartedly as unto
the LORD GOD.

"with all your soul" - life must be totally dedicated to mitzvah (good
deeds) and, if need be, surrendered in martyrdom for HIS NAME.

"with all your might" - we must serve with every ounce of our strength,
with all the capacities of body and mind. We must equally serve CREATOR
GOD with our worldly goods and possessions.

"teach them diligently to your children" - education and study of TORAH
is a form of worship, for TORAH reveals the Covenant. The child is to
be initiated from the earliest age. Therefore Jews have come to love
learning (Sifri).

"recite them in your home and when you walk by the way" - the home is
the fountainhead of Judaism. There are no vacations from Jewishness.
At times, Jews have been "at home" in their land; all too often they
have been forced to "walk by the way" -- homeless and driven. Wherever
their lot was cast, by impressing these words upon their children they
have survived.

"when you lie down" - this is the source of evening worship, which
centers about the Sh'ma. It makes an end to the day's work and
sanctifies the night's rest.

"when you rise up" - this is the source of morning worship, which also
centers about the Sh'ma. It places the day under GOD'S command.

"bind them as a sign on your hand" - the hand is the instrument of
action; it must be guided by GOD'S directive. This injunction is also
the source of the rite of Tefillin shel Yad, the phylactery wrapped
about arm and hand.

"let them serve as frontlets between your eyes" - our vision is to be
synchronized with GOD'S vision. This is also the source of the rite of
Tefillin shel Rosh, the phylactery placed on the head.

"inscribe them on the doorposts of your house and upon your gates" -
the home and all its rooms are to be a sanctuary. The words spoken in
it and the transactions performed in it must reflect an awareness of the
ALMIGHTY'S PRESENCE.

The ZOHAR, one of the Jews' most sacred books, comments on the Sh'ma,
saying: "Why is there need of mentioning the NAME of GOD three times in
this verse? The First YEHOWAH is the NAME of the FATHER above. The
Second is the STEM OF JESSE through David. And the Third ONE is the WAY
which is below (meaning the HOLY SPIRIT WHO shows us the WAY) and these
THREE are ONE."

According to the ZOHAR, the MESSIAH is not only called YEHOWAH, but is a
very part of the TRIUNE GOD. This teaching of the ZOHAR is based upon
the WORD OF GOD through Jeremiah, where in giving the promise of
Israel's safety through MESSIAH YESHUA, it is added: "And this is the
NAME by which HE shall be called: "YEHOWAH TSEDEQNOV (YEHOWAH is our
RIGHTEOUSNESS/VINDICATOR)." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 23. 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The word "GOD" is used three times in the Sh'ma (Jews use the plural
form each time). The second word for GOD is "ELOHEYNU" - "our GOD."
The "nu" at the end of the word means "our" and is attached to a word to
indicate that the word is plural. Thus Moses, who wrote the Sh'ma at
GOD'S directions, knew and believed that GOD is a plurality!

There are two words for "one" in the Hebrew language: echad and yachid.
Echad is a compound unity "one made up of parts" meaning several, or
many in one. Echad is from a primitive root meaning "to unify" as, "to
collect one's thoughts" and means properly, "united." Yachid is
interpreted to mean "absolutely and indivisibly one." Yachid is used
forcefully in the BIBLE as an absolute unity and is found twelve times
in the OLD COVENANT, but not once is it used to denote the unity of GOD!

Although plural in form, when the word for GOD is mentioned it is
constantly accompanied by verbs and adjectives in the singular. In the
first verse of Genesis/Bereshith, the verb create is singular, yet the
word for GOD, ELOHIYM, is plural. [Genesis/Bereshith 1. 26; 2. 24; 3.
22; 11. 7; Isaiah/Yeshayah 5. 8; Ezekiel/Yehezke-El 31. 17] In
contrast with this, when the word is used of heathen gods, plural verbs
and adjectives are used!

Compound unity is expressed in "one cluster of grapes" - "the
congregation was assembled as one man." Uni-plurality can be
illustrated many ways: day and night, ONE day; man and wife, ONE; the
shell, the white, the yolk of an egg, ONE egg; and when GOD (plural)
said, "Let US make man in OUR IMAGE" -- HE made man a trinity - spirit,
soul and body.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Welcome Sabbath! – Queen of the week! Praised are YOU, YEHOWAH, our
GOD, SOVEREIGN of the Universe, WHO makes us holy with YOUR mitzvoth and
favours us with the Holy Shabbat, lovingly and graciously given to us.
Assuredly, HE WHO keeps Israel neither slumbers or sleeps!
Praise to Almighty CREATOR God! We praise and bless you O GOD for
lovingly and graciously giving YOUR Holy Shabbat - The Bride, The Queen
- the imagery of beauty & radiance, testifying to the tremendous
affection that the Sabbath is enjoyed among YOUR people in YOUR
presence.
May yours be a YOM SHE'KULO SHABBAT ("a day which is
all-Sabbath")!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 38 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Fri 16 Jul 2010, 3:07 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The first duty of love is to listen.
CHOOSE LIFE
"I call heaven and earth to witnesses against you this day: I have put
before you life and death, blessing and curse, CHOOSE LIFE - if you and
your descendants would live - by loving the LORD your GOD, obeying HIS
VOICE, and holding fast to HIM. For thereby you shall have life and
shall long endure upon the soil that the LORD your GOD swore to your
ancestors, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to give to them." [Deuteronomy
(Devarim) 30. 19 - 20 Tanakh, Torah]
Just before his death, Moses reiterate the Law and the Covenant between
the ALMIGHTY ONE and HIS people which is summed up in the greatest
commandment: "You shall love the LORD your GOD with all your heart and
with all your soul and with all your might." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 6. 5
Tanakh, Torah]
Moses also declared "surely, this INSTRUCTION which I enjoin upon you
today is not too baffling for you, nor is it beyond reach. It is not in
heaven, that you should say, 'Who among us can go up to the heavens and
get it for us and impart it to us, that we may observe it?' Neither is
it beyond the sea, that you should say, 'Who among us can cross to the
other side of the sea and get it for us and impart it to us, that we may
observe it?'" [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 30. 11 - 13 Tanakh, Torah] There
is nothing concerning this commandment that was hard to understand.
"No, the WORD is very close to you, in your mouth and in your heart, to
observe and do it." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 30. 14 Tanakh, Torah]
Furthermore Moses instructed, "Take this BOOK OF TEACHING and place it
beside the Ark of the Covenant of the LORD your GOD, and let it remain
there as a witness against you. Well I know how defiant, rebellious and
stiff-necked you are: even now, while I am still alive in your midst,
you have been defiant toward the LORD; how much more, then, when I am
dead! Gather to me all the elders of your tribes and your officials,
that I may speak these words to them and that I may call heaven and
earth to witness against them." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 31. 26 - 28
Tanakh, Torah]
The denotable evidence that CREATOR GOD is the RIGHTEOUS JUDGE, GREAT
PROVIDER & LOVING SAVIOUR-REDEEMER is all around us. We have more than
enough information to respond to HIS calling. These evidences, "HIS
invisible attributes are clearly seen" and were "since the creation of
the world, even HIS eternal power and GODHEAD" so those who reject are
absolutely "without excuse." [Romans 1. 20] To ignore the evidence of
the creation and the flood, one must be "willingly ignorant." [2 Peter
3. 5] Refusing or denying such clear evidence is foolishness, which
is a form of idolatry!
Even now, the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA is calling, "See, I set before you
this day life and prosperity, death and adversity." [Deuteronomy
(Devarim) 30. 15 Tanakh, Torah] The choice is between receiving a
"blessing" [v. 16] or a "curse." [v. 18] All reasonable and mindful
logic points to ALL-POWERFUL LORD GOD of the WRITTEN SACRED WORD being
the only ONE TRUE GOD. Therefore, "Choose Life! – if you and your
offspring would live – by loving the LORD your GOD, heeding HIS
COMMANDS, and holding fast to HIM. For thereby you shall have life, for
HE is your life." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 30. 20 Tanakh, Torah] In LORD
YESHUA, the absolute best is yet to be!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Praised are YOU, YEHOWAH, our GOD, SOVEREIGN of the Universe for YOUR
love for us is great and YOUR compassion boundless. Unite our hearts to
love and revere YOU. We trust in YOU alone and rejoice in YOUR saving
power, for from YOU comes our help. YOU have called us to draw near to
YOU to serve YOU in faithfulness. Joyfully do we lift up our voices in
thanks and praise to YOUR WONDERFUL NAME.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Do not blame before you have examined the truth; understand first and
then rebuke.

TRIUMPHANT FAITH
"One LORD, one faith, one baptism." [Ephesians 4. 5]

Everyone has some kind of faith in something, be it a religion, one's
self, fate, evolution or in mankind. Even the atheist has faith in his
own reason. But, there is only one real faith that works for time and
eternity. True faith is confident trust in the ONE TRUE & LIVING GOD,
the LOVING Creator WHO made us, WHO will judge us, and WHO has paid the
definitive price to save us.

This faith is an understanding faith, for it is "by faith we understand
that the worlds were framed by the WORD OF GOD." [Hebrews 11. 3] It is
a saving faith, "for by grace you are saved through faith." [Ephesians
2. 8] Since "the just shall live by faith" [Galatians 3. 11] it is a
living faith and a growing faith "because your faith grows exceedingly"
[2 Thessalonians 1. 3], and a working faith because "faith without works
is dead." [James 2. 20]

True faith is a justifying faith (what makes us righteous in the sight
of the HOLY GOD) because, "being justified by faith, we have peace with
GOD through our LORD MESSIAH YESHUA." [Romans 5. 1] It is a protecting
faith because, with "the shield of faith…you shall be able to quench
all the fiery darts of the wicked." [Ephesians 6. 16] It is a stable
faith, "for by faith you stand." [2 Corinthians 1. 24] It is also a
purifying faith, "purifying their hearts by faith." [Acts 15. 9] Faith
is asking, which receives answers to its prayers "in faith, nothing
wavering" [James 1. 6], and a strong faith, like Abraham who "did not
waver at the promise of GOD through unbelief, but was strengthened in
faith, giving glory to GOD." [Romans 4. 20]

CHRIST-like-ones confidently possess a triumphant faith. "For whatever
is born of GOD overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has
overcomes the world -- your faith." [1 John 5. 4] This faith, even our
faith is an understanding, saving, active, growing, justifying,
purifying, effective, protecting, stable, asking, strong, triumphant
faith! It is one thing to believe it, and another to know from
experience that this is true. May you have the personal joy of KNOWING
from experience.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Praised is YOUR HOLY NAME, O LORD GOD. YOU have made YOUR eternal law
our portion, and gave us a goodly heritage. YOU appointed us to proclaim
YOUR truth to the nations and to win them for YOUR Law of Righteousness.
Sanctify us for the service to which YOU called us, O HEAVENLY FATHER,
that YOUR NAME may be hallowed through us in all the world. Gather all
YOUR children around YOUR banner of truth that YOUR praise may resound
from one end of the earth to the other, and that the entire human family
may be blessed with truth and peace.!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A lot of kneeling will keep you in good standing.

HEAVEN'S PURPOSE
"A season is set for everything, a time for every experience under the
heaven. All human experiences are preordained by GOD, HE brings
everything to pass precisely at its time...HE preoccupies man with the
ATTEMPT to discover the times of future events. But without man ever
guessing, from first to last, all the things that GOD brings to
pass...Indeed, man cannot guess the events that occur under the sun. For
man tries strenuously, but fails to guess them; and even if a sage
should think to discover them he would not be able to guess them."
[Ecclesiastes (Kohelet) 3. 1, 11; 8. 17 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

We are strangers before ALMIGHTY GOD, and sojourners; our days on earth
vanish like shadows. The speedy flight of life and the gloom of the
grave should not dismay us, but instead it should teach us wisdom. It
should persuade us to put our trust in the SUPREME HOLY ONE OF HEAVEN,
WHO will not suffer HIS children to see destruction. For only the dust
returns to the dust; the spirit of man, which the RIGHTEOUS CREATOR has
breathed into us, returns to HIM, its EVER-LIVING SOURCE. Whoever
walks in the presence of HIS LIGHT, who holds fast to their testimony,
and endures to the end will be given their reward. When YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH comes back, HE has declared, "I am coming quickly, and MY
reward is with ME, to give to every one according to his work."
[Revelation 22. 12]

O, that we might die the death of the righteous and our end be like
theirs. [Numbers/B'Midvar 23. 10] Suffer us not to pass away in our
sins, LORD. [Numbers/B'Midvar 18. 22] "Teach us to count our days
rightly, that we may obtain a wise heart." [Psalms (Tehillym) 90. 12
Tanakh, Kethuvim] Bestow YOUR strength and understanding to all, small
and great, young and old that we may ever do what is right and
honourable in YOUR sight; and through unwavering faith be reconciled to
YOU, O LORD GOD, our LOVING REDEEMER & RIGHTEOUS KING.

"For GOD has committed them (Jews & Gentiles) all to disobedience, that
HE might have mercy on all (Jews & Gentiles who believe!). Oh, the depth
of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of GOD! How unsearchable
are HIS judgments and HIS ways past finding out!" [Romans 11. 32 - 33]

The sum of the matter: "Fear and revere GOD and keep HIS commandments!
For this applies to all mankind, it is their whole duty." [Ecclesiastes
(Kohelet) 12. 13 Tanakh, Kethuvim] May we be found faithfully doing
our assigned task.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
LORD, help us to break down the barriers which keep us from YOU:
falsehood & faithlessness, callousness & selfishness, injustice &
hard-heartedness. Awaken our soul to grateful acknowledgement of YOUR
grace which has bestowed upon us the gift of life, and make our pathway
come in safety to the coveted goal -- YOUR LOVING PRESENCES.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Man was created with two eyes, so that with one he may see GOD'S
greatness, and with the other his own lowliness.

MY BELOVED
"His mouth is deliciously sweet and all of him is delightful. Such is my
beloved (Hebrew: tovu), such is my darling (Hebrew: ray-ah), O maidens
of Jerusalem!" [Song of Songs (Shir ha'Shirim) 5. 16 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Only of the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA can it truly be said that "all of HIM is
delightful." Of all human lips and tongues, "HIS mouth is most sweet"
for "no man ever spoke like this MAN!" [John 7. 46] Even those who
simply heard JESUS' words "marveled at the gracious words which
proceeded out of HIS mouth." [Luke 4. 22] For "YOU are fairer than all
men; YOUR speech is endowed with grace; rightly has GOD given YOU an
eternal blessing." [Psalms (Tehillym) 45. 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "How sweet
is YOUR WORD to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!" [Psalms
(Tehillym) 119. 103 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

YESHUA ha'MASHIACH is the BELOVED ONE, "clear-skinned and ruddy,
preeminent among ten thousand." [Song of Songs (Shir ha'Shirim) 5. 10
Tanakh, Kethuvim] Such a description must apply in the fullest sense
only to the TRUE & LIVING GOD OF HOSTS, the impregnable, invincible
LIGHT OF LIFE WHO became the SACRIFICIAL LAMB OF GOD and will come again
as "LORD of lords and KING of kings." [Revelation 17. 14] JESUS is the
OMNIPOTENT CREATOR, the PERFECT SAVIOUR, the IMPECCABLE, MATCHLESS &
LOVING FRIEND to those who are HIS called, chosen and faithful. JESUS
CHRIST, the LORD GOD ETERNAL, has redeemed us by HIS precious blood
which was shed for our covering of guilt.

"MY BELOVED is mine, and I am HIS (Hebrew: Dodi-Li-Va-Ani Lo)." [Song of
Songs (Shir ha'Shirim) 2. 16 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "Where has your BELOVED
gone? Let us seek HIM!" [Song of Songs (Shir ha'Shirim) 6. 1 Tanakh,
Kethuvim] The RISEN LORD YESHUA has promised that "IF you will search
for ME, you will find ME, IF only you seek ME wholeheartedly." [Jeremiah
(Yirmeyah) 29. 13 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Such a PRIZED TREASURE, the SEED of
Israel, in HIM we are justified and shall glory. "JESUS!" . . . O how
sweet HIS NAME!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Blessed, praised, glorified, exalted, extolled, honoured, magnified,
and acclaimed be the NAME of the Most Holy One; though HE is high above
all the blessings and all hymns, praises, and consolations, which are
uttered in the world. We, the work of YOUR hands, love YOU, LORD GOD our
FATHER!
May peace abundant descend from heaven with life for us and to all
Israel, and that very soon! Amen!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
"If I forget you, O Jerusalem, let my right hand wither; let my tongue
stick to my palate if I cease to think of you, if I do not keep
Jerusalem in memory even at my happiest hour." [Psalms (Tehillym) 137. 5
– 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
THE NINE DAYS
"When you have begotten children and children's children and are long
established in the land, should you act wickedly and make for yourselves
a sculptured image in any likeness, causing the LORD your GOD
displeasure and vexation, I call heaven and earth this day to witness
against you, that you shall soon utterly perish from the land that you
are crossing the Jordan to possess; you shall not long endure in it, but
shall be utterly destroyed. The LORD will scatter you among the peoples,
and only a scant few of you will be left among the nations to which the
LORD will drive you. There you will serve man-made gods of wood and
stone, that cannot see or hear or eat or smell.
But if you search there for the LORD your GOD, you will find HIM, if
only you seek HIM with all your heart and soul - when you are in
distress because all these things have befallen you and, in the end,
return to the LORD your GOD and obey HIM. For the LORD your GOD is a
MERCIFUL GOD, HE will not forsake you nor will HE let you perish; HE
will not forget the covenant which HE made on oath with your fathers.
You have but to ask about bygone ages that came before you, ever since
GOD created man on the earth, from one end of heaven to the other, has
anything as grand as this ever happened, or has its like ever been
known? Has any people ever heard the VOICE OF GOD speaking out of a
fire, as you have heard, and live? Or has any god ventured to go and
take for himself one nation from the midst of another by prodigious
acts, by signs, by wonders, by war, by a mighty hand and an outstretched
arm, and awesome power, as the LORD your GOD did for you in Egypt before
your very eyes?
You have been shown to know that the LORD alone is GOD; there is none
beside HIM. Out of heaven HE let you hear HIS VOICE, that HE might
instruct you; on earth HE let you see HIS great fire, and from amidst
that fire you heard HIS WORDS. And because HE loved your fathers, HE
chose their descendants after them; HE HIMSELF brought you out of Egypt
with HIS PRESENCE, in HIS great might, to drive from your path nations
greater and mightier than you, to take you into their land and assign it
to you as a heritage, as it is this day.
Know therefore this day and consider it in your heart that the LORD
alone is GOD in heaven above and on earth below; there is no other. You
shall therefore keep HIS statutes and HIS commandments which I enjoin
upon you this day, that it may go well with you and with your children
after you, and that you may long remain in the land that the LORD your
GOD is giving you for all time." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 4. 25 - 40
Tanakh, Torah]
Tonight begins a period known as "The Nine Days" -- the days from Rosh
Chodesh (head of the month), the month of Av to the fast of the ninth of
Av (Tisha b'Av). In Jewish communities worldwide, prohibitions intended
to decrease joy are implemented. All these reach a climax on the Fast of
the Ninth of Av, a fast similar to Yom Kippur. During this time, we
increase our solemn attitudes toward the Temple and of its loss. We are
especially careful to keep our thoughts upon the destruction of the Holy
Place and of the lifestyle that was lost with its destruction. There
are no celebrations, no weddings, and no haircuts! Among the Orthodox,
even bathing is kept to a minimum and freshly laundered clothes are not
worn. These prohibitions are not intended to be overwhelming, but to
turn our minds toward the seriousness of sin and its consequences.
Yet, even in destruction there is consolation. After Jeremiah prophesied
judgment, he delivered a message of deliverance to the nation of Judah.
"For I am with you to deliver you - declares the LORD. I will make an
end of all the nations among which I have dispersed you; but I will not
make an end of you! I will not leave you unpunished, but will chastise
you in measure." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 30. 11 Tanakh, Nevi'im; see also
46. 28]
The discipline of GOD OMNIPOTENT is a means to an end; that is, a
restored relationship through repentance. "Let us search and examine our
ways, and turn back to the LORD. Let us lift up our heart rather than
our hands to GOD in heaven...I have called on yOUR nAME, O LORD, from
the depths of the Pit. Hear my plea; 'Do not shut your ear to my groan,
to my cry!' YOU have ever drawn nigh when I called YOU; YOU said, "Do
not fear!" YOU championed my cause, O LORD, YOU have redeemed my life."
[Lamentations (Ekhah) 3. 40 – 41, 55 – 58 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
Through judgment, we are reminded of our need for GOD'S mercy. The
month of Av reminds us that we are sustained by the mercy of the MOST
HIGH GOD. When properly grasped, this consolation of Av naturally leads
us to the next stepÂ…the repentance of the month, Elul.
We encourage everyone to light a candle in their homes this evening in
memory of the Israelis who have died in past and present wars and read
Psalm 83 aloud. I encourage parents to gather their children and do
this as a family prayer time. Let us take this day to join hearts with
our Israeli and Jewish brethren around the world and offer united and
fervent prayer to our HEAVENLY FATHER.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
May our HEAVENLY FATHER hear our prayers. . . that our long-awaited
MESSIAH, YESHUA, THE SON OF DAVID, KING of kings comes quickly. And, may
YOUR Holy Temple be rebuilt speedily, even in our day. Amen & Amen!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Better to pray for yourself then to curse another. We must hang on, as long as possible, to our sense of astonishment. Let us not be misled by labels, as if calling someone a terrorist gives sense to madness.
TRIBES of ISRAEL (Part 4)
"Jacob called his sons and said, "Come together that I may tell you what is to befall you in days to come: `Assemble and hearken, O sons of Jacob; hearken to Israel your father.'" [Genesis (Bereshith) 49. 1 – 2 Tanakh, Torah]

The HOLY SPIRIT spoke through Jacob saying, "Zebulun shall dwell by the seashore; he shall be a haven for ships, and his flank shall rest on Sidon." [Genesis (Bereshith) 49. 13 Tanakh, Torah] Zebulun settled in the favorable geographical position described here, and his tribe became mariners. The actual territory of Zebulun is uncertain, but their "Tribal Standard (banner)" bears the picture of a ship.

"Issachar is a strong-boned ass, crouching down among the sheepfolds. When he saw how good was security, and how pleasant was the country, he bent his shoulder to bear the burden, and became a toiling serf (a servant under task-work of forced labour)." [Genesis (Bereshith) 49. 14 – 15 Tanakh, Torah]

As a strong-boned ass, the people of Issachar would have great physical power. However, the minute they found a resting place, they would stay right there. They would not become nomads like the rest of the people of Israel living in tents. They did not like the life of a wandering Jew. If Issachar found a place where he wanted to rest, he would much prefer to pay tribute and to submit to any enemy that came upon him then to leave his plowshare and take up a sword. He would never go to battle. All this was fulfilled. Along with Simeon, Issachar did not receive a blessing from Moses along with the other tribes in Deuteronomy/Devarim 33.

"Dan shall govern his people, as one of the tribes of Israel. Dan shall be a serpent by the road, a viper by the path, that bites the horse's heels so that his rider is thrown backward. I wait for Your deliverance, O LORD!" [Genesis (Bereshith) 49. 16 – 18 Tanakh, Torah]

Samson came from the tribe of Dan to be one of the judges of Israel. Dan would also be a serpent in the way, a horned snake in the way that bites the horse's heels so that his rider falls backward. Judas Iscariot would be coming from the tribe of Dan. The HOLY SPIRIT knew who would betray MESSIAH YESHUA with a kiss. This is why the tribe of Dan is not mentioned in the Book of Revelation 7. {The 144,000 Witnesses are witnesses -- not judges. Ephraim`s name is also missing because his name means first-fruit and this company is a fixed number.} And then Jacob said, "LORD, I am waiting for YOUR SALVATION. I can hardly wait to come home and be with YOU, LORD. I am waiting for YOUR SON, JESUS, I'm waiting for YOUR SALVATION, O LORD."

"Gad shall be raided by raiders, but he shall raid at their heels." [Genesis (Bereshith) 49. 19 Tanakh, Torah] There is a play on words here, the translation should be: "A raiding band raids him, but he will now band himself against their heel." He would always know where to attack, in their rear position. OMNIPOTENT GOD succeeded in expelling the Ammonites, Moabites and the Armenian who were constantly raiding his border. Jephthah, one of the judges of Israel, came from the tribe of Gad. The LORD used him as an instrument to bring forth HIS victory. Victory is always the LORD'S.

"Asher's bread shall be rich, and he shall yield royal dainties." [Genesis (Bereshith) 49. 20 Tanakh, Torah] Asher's territory stretched from the Sea of Galilee to Mount Karem'El, close to Lebanon. The name, Asher, means "happy" - and this meaning is reflected in the blessing that is bestowed upon him. The land of Asher was prosperous and happy; they lived in and around Arabia and parts of Israel, where they went in business making delicacies fit for the tables of kings. {In Deuteronomy/Devarim 33, Moses blesses the tribes and of Asher he spoke of him "dipping his heel in oil." The olive tree grow prevalent in the area allotted to him and the olive oil is indeed used for making of dainties.} The HOLY SPIRIT is never wrong, always true.

"Naphtali is a hind let loose; which yields lovely fawns (or "gives lovely words")." [Genesis (Bereshith) 49. 21 Tanakh, Torah] This gives us an image of swiftness and grace in movement. "Yields lovely fawns" refers to the tribe's reputation for persistence and eloquence. The great victory of Barak [Judges/Shofetym 4. 15 - 16], who was of the tribe of Naphtali, was followed by the glorious song of Devorah, also of the tribe of Naphtali who "gives goodly words." [Judges/Shofetym 5. 12] They would not only follow through where the LORD led them, they would also bring forth words of praise and thanksgiving unto the ALMIGHTY LORD OF HOSTS, the HOPE OF ISRAEL.

. . . to be continued!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Welcome Sabbath! Come, celebrate in the tradition of Melaveh Malkeh (escorting in the Sabbath) – Queen of the week!
Of old the MASTER DESIGNER rested on the seventh day and blessed it. Exalted and highly praised be the LORD, the CREATOR , the LIVING GOD and EVERLASTING KING, HIS abundance of mercies and loving-kindness rest upon HIS servants. Blessed be the glory of the LORD our GOD; enjoy HIS perfect peace and presence.
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Where people love you, go rarely; where you are hated, go not at all.
TRIBES of ISRAEL (part 5 - Conclusion)
"Jacob called his sons and said, `Come together that I may tell you
what is to befall you in days to come: 'Assemble and hearken, O sons of
Jacob; hearken to Israel your father." [Genesis (Bereshith) 49. 1 –
2 Tanakh, Torah]
"Joseph is a wild ass, a wild ass by a spring – wild colts on a
hillside. {Other translations say: "Joseph is a fruitful vine by a
fountain. Its branches run over the wall."} Archers bitterly assailed
him; they shot at him and harried him. Yet his bow stayed taut, and the
arms of his hands were made firm by the hands of the MIGHTY ONE OF JACOB
– There, the SHEPHERD, the ROCK OF Israel – EL of your father
WHO helps you, and SHADDAI WHO blesses you with blessings of heaven
above, blessings of the deep that couches below, blessings of the breast
and womb. The blessings of your father surpass the blessings of my
ancestors, to the utmost bounds of the eternal hills. May they rest on
the head of Joseph, on the brow of the elect of his brothers." [Genesis
(Bereshith) 49. 22 – 26 Tanakh, Torah]

Jacob reserved his softest and his most loving tone of voice for Joseph,
who was united with whatever was best, most gracious and noblest in both
Reuben and Judah. Joseph was the man of vision, the man of dreams. But
to this he joined moral and spiritual strength in all circumstances of
his life. He was the ideal son, the ideal brother, the ideal servant,
the ideal administrator. His character and story have from the
beginning of time been held to be typical of the character of the people
in the story of Israel.

Israel said to Joseph, "Behold, I die, but GOD will be with you, and HE
will bring you back unto the land of your fathers." [Genesis (Bereshith)
48. 21 Tanakh, Torah] Do not be afraid to stand on the PRECIOUS WORD OF
THE LORD. The ALMIGHTY ONE had told Abram, "Know well that your
offspring shall be strangers in a land not theirs, and they shall be
enslaved and oppressed four hundred years; but I will execute judgment
on the nation they shall serve, and in the end they shall go free with
great wealth." [Genesis (Bereshith) 15. 13 – 14 Tanakh, Torah]

As Jacob blessed Joseph, he said that there was a period of exile
coming, and like Joseph in that period of exile, the people of Israel
were going to be subjected to great temptations to be disloyal to the
God of their fathers. But Joseph always remained loyal to the LIVING
GOD, to the true GOD OF ABRAHAM, ISAAC & JACOB. This was a reminder to
the people of Israel to remain loyal despite great temptations even to
the point of death.

Israel was reminding Joseph that the God OF ISRAEL would never leave or
forsake him and would bring him back to the land of his fathers. Then
he added, "And now, I assign you one portion (Hebrew: shekem) more than
your brothers, which I wrested from the Amorites with my sword and bow."
[Genesis (Bereshith) 48. 22 Tanakh, Torah] The double-portion was
referring to the fact that Joseph's two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, were
counted by Israel (Jacob) as "son's of Jacob" for tribal inheritance
when the Promised Land was divided.

Joseph's bones were buried in Shechem (when the Israelites came out of
Egypt, they brought his bones as he had requested, see Joshua/Yehoshua
24. 32). This is the portion of land Jacob bought from the Hivites for
100 pieces of silver. This piece of land was given to Joseph for his
burial place. Jacob was still showing that extra bit of favoritism to
Joseph, the son whom he loved who reminded him so much of his beloved
Rachael.

The BLESSED LORD said, "In the end days, I shall pour out MY SPIRIT on
all flesh." [Joel (Yoel) 2. 28 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Some of us are
going to dream dreams, and see visions -- because we trust in the LORD
YEHOWAH.

"Benjamin is a wolf that ravens - that tears; in the morning he consumes
the foe (or booty), and in the evening he divides the spoil." [Genesis
(Bereshith) 49. 27 Tanakh, Torah] The tribe of Benjamin was wolf-like.
Saul of Tarsus would come from the tribe of Benjamin. He would walk
meekly into a synagogue, and begin preaching the GOSPEL. When they took
out a whip and began beating him to death, he could say, "I count it a
joy." [Acts 20. 24] The Apostle Paul (Saul) was as unrelenting as a
persistent wolf, who goes back again-and-again preaching the GOSPEL,
bringing the MESSAGE OF SALVATION, until he won them to the MESSIAH LORD
YESHUA.

Jacob also blessed Ephraim & Manasseh saying, "By you shall Israel
invoke blessings, saying: 'GOD make you like Ephraim and as Manasseh.'"
[Genesis (Bereshith) 48. 20 Tanakh, Torah] To this very day, every
pious Orthodox Jewish father, on Sabbath Eve places his hand on the head
of his son and blesses him with the very same words that the HOLY SPIRIT
just stated: "May GOD make you as Ephraim & Manasseh."

Ephraim & Manasseh would never barter away their Jewishness for the most
exalted social position. They voluntarily gave up their place in the
higher Egyptian aristocracy, and they openly identified themselves with
their alien kinsmen, the despised shepherd immigrants. It is fitting
that every mother and father who know the LORD GOD MOST HIGH should pray
that their children will show the same loyalty to their father and their
father's LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, as did Ephraim and Manasseh.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Throughout the Havdalah (difference) Service, we bid farewell to Shabbat
using all of our senses: we taste the wine, smell the spices, see the
shadows of candles, hear prayers & songs, and touch family & friends.
Wishing you joyous holidays filled with the love and peace of our
INVINCIBLE HOLY GOD. Have a Shavua Tov (Good Week)!
You are in our prayers, dear friends!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Thought FOR TODAY

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Better to loose with a wise man then to win with a fool.
TRIBES OF ISRAEL (Part 3)
"Jacob called his sons and said, 'Come together that I may tell you what
is to befall you in days to come: Assemble and hearken, O sons of Jacob;
hearken to Israel your father.'" [Genesis (Bereshith) 49. 1 – 2
Tanakh, Torah]
Judah was the forth born son to Jacob. Through the lips of his mother,
Leah, the HOLY SPIRIT said, "This time I will praise (thank) the LORD"
[Genesis/Bereshith) 29. 8 – 12] as she gave birth to Judah. Speaking
thru Israel (Jacob) the HOLY SPIRIT said, "You, O Judah, your brothers
shall praise; your hand shall be on the nape of your foes; your
father's sons shall bow low to you. Judah is a lion's whelp; on
prey, my son, have you grown. He crouches, lies down like a lion, like
the king of beasts - who dare rouse him? The scepter shall not depart
from Judah, nor the ruler's staff from between his feet; until
Shiloh comes (here the MIDRASH adds "so that tribute shall come to him")
and the homage of peoples be his. He tethers his ass to a vine, his
ass's foal to a choice vine; he washes his garment in wine, his robe
in blood of grapes. His eyes are darker than wine and his teeth are
white from milk." [Genesis (Bereshith) 49. 8 – 12 Tanakh, Torah]
Unlike Reuben, Judah had neither the birthright, the dignity, nor the
opportunity of the firstborn. But, he did have strength and he was
consistent in his purpose. Whatever he started, he would follow through
with. He knew his enemy; and whether it was a person, an evil, or a
cause, his hand was upon that enemy's neck. The LORD YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH defeated Satan upon the cross. . . JESUS knew HIS enemy; HE
took the sting out of death. Praise GOD! HalleluYAH!

Judah was capable of falling into grievous error and sin, yet he was
true at heart to himself and to the LORD GOD ETERNAL. Judah's
character fitted him to take the lead and the rule. He was the father
of the royal tribe, the ancestor of David and the Lion of Judah came
from Judah. The LORD JESUS would be called the LION OF DAVID and the
LION OF JUDAH. JESUS was never called the SON OF ABRAHAM, the SON OF
ISAAC, or the SON OF JACOB; but HE was called the SON OF DAVID. That is
what made David's fame great.

"All your brothers will praise you." Jacob was foretelling Judah's
military glory, as he would be the leader of all the tribes of Israel in
subduing the enemies of the ALMIGHTY ONE, namely the Philistines and the
Edomites.

Then Jacob said a strange thing: "The scepter shall not depart from
Judah, nor the ruler's staff from between his feet, until Shiloh
comes." In Hebrew, the word Shi'loh means, "the exact image and
reflection of GOD." Not until the LORD JESUS comes into the world will
the scepter and the ruler's staff depart from the tribe of Judah.
And MESSIAH YESHUA did come into the world, being the exact image and
reflection of ALMIGHTY GOD, as HE HIMSELF said, "If you have seen
ME, you have seen the FATHER, I and MY FATHER are ONE." [John 14. 9; 10.
30]
Jacob, still speaking by the HOLY SPIRIT, said, "And unto HIM shall all
the obedience (homage, honour, respect, worship) of the people be."
Through the HOPE of all ISRAEL . . . the SAVIOUR . . . the LION OF
JUDAH, the world would be made right as HE would take all sin, all
transgression and all iniquity of the world on HIMSELF as HE went to the
cross. The eyes of MESSIAH YESHUA would be "as if sparkling with wine"
- and yet HE would not be drunk. . . the LORD JESUS would always have a
sparkle (joy) in HIS eye. HIS teeth would be whiter than milk, and
altogether lovely. These verses are a description of the LORD JESUS the
LIFE-GIVER, my PRAISE.

. . . to be continued!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Life's challenges work out for the best, when we recognize what appear
to be obstacles, are actually opportunities to develop ourselves for the
better and recognize that all things come from OMNIPOTENT GOD'S
invisible hand that guides our lives.
The glory of the LORD is in the earth and in the heavens. HE is the
strength of all HIS servants, the praise of them that truly love HIM,
the HOPE of Israel, the people HE brought near to HIMSELF. HalleluYAH!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
What does not kill us, will make us stronger.
TRIBES OF ISRAEL (Part 2)
"Jacob called his sons and said, "Come together that I may tell you what
is to befall you in days to come: `Assemble and hearken, O sons of
Jacob; hearken to Israel your father.'" [Genesis (Bereshith) 49. 1
– 2 Tanakh, Torah]
Jacob said, "Simeon & Levi are brothers; their weapons are tools of
cruelty and lawlessness. Let not my person be included in their council;
let not my honour be counted in their assembly. For when angry, they
slay men, and when pleased they maim oxen. Cursed be their anger so
fierce, and their wrath so relentless. I will divide them in Jacob,
scatter them in Israel." [Genesis (Bereshith) 49. 5 – 7 Tanakh,
Torah] This was the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD speaking to them.
And Israel was saying, "In the past they formed a secret confederacy
together when they went out and slaughtered the men of Shechem. They
profaned the LORD GOD when they took the Lord'S Everlasting Covenant,
the circumcision, and profaned it by having every man be circumcised
after Dinah, their sister, was raped, and on the third day, they killed
every man in the city."
"My soul, my glory, shall not be united with them." Jacob was speaking
about ALMIGHTY GOD'S glory in the soul. CREATOR GOD breathed HIS HOLY
SPIRIT into man and man became a living soul. Jacob said his soul
should not be united together with theirs.
Jacob also stated that Simeon and Levi were so cruel they had even hewed
the oxen. They were not content with just getting revenge for the rape
of their sister, Dinah, but they killed the men, took women and children
and livestock; then they plundered the houses in the city.
[Genesis/Bereshith 34. 25 - 29] This tendency of men taking vengeance,
becomes the basis for GOD'S declaration, "Vengeance and recompense
belongs to ME {or, I will vindicate MY people and take revenge for MY
servants.}." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 32. 35 Tanakh, Torah]
"Cursed be their anger." Jacob did not curse them, but their sin. The
LORD GOD ETERNAL curses our sin, HE hates our sin, but HE still loves
the sinner. Otherwise, none of us would be here.
"I will divide them in Jacob and scatter them in Israel." We see this
prophecy being fulfilled by the intermingling of the tribe of Simeon in
the inheritance of Judah. [Joshua/Yehoshua 19. 1, 9 Tanakh, Nevi'im]
The tribe of Judah swallowed them up. You cannot find anyone of the
tribe of Simeon any more. And Simeon did not receive a blessing in
Deuteronomy/Devarim 33. The tribe of Levi was dispersed among all the
tribes of Israel causing this prophecy of the Holy Spirit to be
fulfilled to the fullest.
...to be continued!
Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
HEAVENLY FATHER, teach us to emulate YOUR OWN grace and mercy. Cause
YOUR truth to fall upon our hearts like seed upon fertile ground. And,
may we learn to love Your Law ever more deeply and to find in it the
beauty of holiness. Amen

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 38 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Wed 07 Jul 2010, 1:41 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Faults are thick where love is thin.
TRIBES of ISRAEL (Part 1)
"Jacob called his sons and said - Come together that I may tell you what
is to befall you in days to come: Assemble and hearken, O sons of Jacob;
hearken to Israel your father.'" [Genesis (Bereshith) 49. 1 – 2
Tanakh, Torah]
"Reuben, you are my first-born, my might and the first fruit of my
strength, exceeding in rank (dignity) and the exceeding in honour.
Unstable as water, you shall excel no longer; for when you mounted your
father's bed, you defiled it and brought disgrace - my couch he
mounted!" [Genesis (Bereshith) 49. 3 – 4 Tanakh, Torah]
Israel was saying, "Reuben, you have forfeited your natural right of the
firstborn. Through being the first-born, you had dignity and
opportunity, but you did not have strength of character." Reuben
appeared to be a man who began good actions, but he did not complete
them. He planned to save Joseph and he actually prevented the murder of
Joseph. [Genesis/Bereshith 37. 21] Nevertheless, Joseph was sold in
spite of Reuben.
In Jewish history, Reuben's descendants remained true to their
ancestral type, unstable as water. When Deborah unfurled the banner of
Israel's independence in the days of the judges, all the other
tribes rallied around her. But in the camp of Reuben, there was great
intention, a mighty searching of the heart, but no real action.
Instead, they appointed half a dozen committees to study whether they
should take action. [Judges/Shofetym 5. 15] Subsequently, the tribe of
Reuben is very rarely mentioned in Israel's history. They begin,
but they never finish. They open their mouth, but they never move any
further than that.
"You are my might." As the firstborn, Reuben was endowed with a
super-abundant vitality, the cause of both his preeminence and his
undoing. He did not know how to use what he had wisely with the wisdom
of the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY. And Jacob said, "you have had the excellency
of dignity" which in the Hebrew means: "You have been superior in
dignity. You have had this given to you, because it belongs to the
firstborn. Reuben, it was provided for you to receive three portions
above your brothers." The three portions are the right of the firstborn,
the priesthood, and the kingdom. Reuben, you should have had all three,
but now you are not going to get anything.
The right of the firstborn was given to Joseph, the priesthood was given
to Levi, the kingly power and headship were given to Judah. Judah would
be the king of Israel. Through Judah's loins would come the LION OF
JUDAH, the KING of the Universe, YESHUA ha'MASHIACH.
Israel further said to Reuben, "you are unstable as water." My son, any
breeze can ruffle your surface. You bubble over like water in an
uncontrolled vehemence of passion. You are a very emotional person with
weakness of will, lack of self-control and hardness of purpose. You
have also had a spirit of lust within you that you never overcame. You
had the excellency, but now you will relinquish all your privileges of
the firstborn.
The HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD was speaking through Jacob because none of the
descendants of Reuben ever became judges, prophets or leaders in Israel.
SCRIPTURE very clearly stresses that moral character is more essential
than hereditary right. The LORD GOD, the RIGHTEOUS ONE, wants us to be
moral and to be ethical one with another. We are to "love your fellow
man as yourself." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 19. 18 Tanakh, Torah]

. . . to be continued!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
O magnify the LORD with me and let us exalt HIS NAME together: We bless
you our FATHER, our ROCK & REDEEMER. We ask for YOUR peace, goodness,
blessings, grace, lovingkindness, mercy, and boldness with the light of
YOUR countenance radiating through us to others.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Something is only dangerous if you're not prepared for it.
BURIED WITH HIM
"Therefore we were buried with HIM through baptism into death, that just
as MESSIAH YESHUA was raised up from the dead by the glory of the
FATHER, even so we also should (shall) walk in newness of life." [Romans
6. 4]
The burial of the CRUCIFIED MESSIAH, after HIS death, was extremely
important for two reasons. First, it assures us that JESUS' death was
a physical death and that His resurrection was a bodily resurrection.
Secondly, like MESSIAH'S death and resurrection – HIS burial has
intense doctrinal and practical significance for the believer's
individual life. All this is pictured by the ordinance of baptism,
displaying symbolically the death of the LORD JESUS for sin and the
death of the believer to sin, then the burial of the corruptible body of
flesh (which, for all but MESSIAH YESHUA, returns to dust in accordance
with GOD'S curse). And finally, the resurrection, demonstrating the
RISEN ONE'S eternal victory over sin and death; and, in the case of the
believer, the beginning of a new life in the LORD MESSIAH.
The same truth appears again, "Buried with HIM (YESHUA) in baptism, in
which you also were raised with HIM through faith in the working of GOD
(the FATHER), WHO has raised HIM (YESUA, GOD'S ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON)
from the dead." [Colossians 2. 12] The spiritual truths of Messiah
Jesus' burial saturates Scriptures. If our old bodies of sin are, at
least positionally, already in the grave, then it is altogether hideous
for them still to be walking around in sin. "For if we have been united
together in the likeness of HIS death, certainly we also shall be in the
likeness of HIS resurrection." [Roman 6. 5] We shall walk in newness of
life triumphant daily over sin through the deep-rooted, unshakable
resurrection life of our AMAZINGLY WONDERFUL REDEEMER, LORD & SAVIOUR.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
YOURS, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, the glory, and the
victory, and the majesty; for all that is in heaven and in the earth
belongs to YOU; YOURS is the kingdom, O LORD, and YOU are exalted as
head above all.
"Kumi Ori (Arise & Shine)!" Stay alert for such a time as this, keep
watching and praying. Blessings to all who love Zion!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Post  Admin Fri 02 Jul 2010, 12:07 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
I've had a lot of problems in my life and most of them have never
happened!
WONDERFUL WORDS OF LIFE
"LORD, YOUR testimonies and decrees are wondrous; rightly do I observe
them." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 129 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
It is not possible to place the HOLY BIBLE on a pedestal that is too
illustrious and majestically distinguished. "YOUR testimonies are
wondrous...the WORDS YOU inscribed give light and understanding" -
declares the psalmist, for YOUR NAME is, "WONDERFUL, COUNSELOR, the
MIGHTY GOD, EVERLASTING FATHER, Prince of Peace" [Isaiah/Yeshayah 9. 6]
WHOSE testimonies they are.
GOD'S WRITTEN WORD is wonderfully amazing, they were written in the
heart of the TRUE & LIVING ETERNAL ONE even before creation. "Forever,
O LORD, YOUR WORD stands firm in heaven." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 89
Tanakh, Kethuvim] Then, "at various times and in different manners,"
this INFINITE WORD OF GOD was conveyed to men as the DIVINE ONE "spoke
in time past to the fathers by the prophets." [Hebrews 1. 1] At last
it was complete, and the last of the prophets concluded it with an
extensive warning, "If any man shall add to these things, may GOD add to
him the plagues that are written in this BOOK; and if anyone takes away
from the WORDS of the BOOK of this prophecy, may GOD take away his part
from the Book of Life, from the Holy City, and from the things which are
written in this BOOK." [Revelation 22. 18 - 19]
All who criticize or tamper with the UNWAVERING Words of the BIBLE are
on dangerous ground, for "the WORD OF THE LORD endures forever." [1
Peter 1. 25] The psalmist expounds, "Truth is the essence of YOUR
WORD, YOUR righteous judgments is eternal." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 160
Tanakh, Kethuvim] MESSIAH YESHUA confirmed, "Heaven and earth shall
pass away, but MY WORDS shall not pass away." [Matthew 24. 35]
ETERNAL in the past, SACRED in the present, UNCHANGING in the future;
all we shall ever need for our daily guidance is found in GOD'S
WONDERFUL TESTIMONIES. "All scriptURE is given by inspiration of GOD,
and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for
instruction in righteousness, that the man of GOD may be complete
(perfect), thoroughly equipped for every good work." [2 Timothy 3. 16 -
17]
It is not possible to have too high a view of the HOLY scriptURES,
"because YOU have magnified and exalted YOUR WORD, above YOUR NAME."
[Psalms (Tehillym) 138. 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Now, it is even more
distinctly evident that THE WORD which "became Flesh" - "In the
beginning was THE WORD, and THE WORD was with GOD, and THE WORD was
GOD." [John 1. 1] JESUS. . . the INIMITABLE, UNCHANGING, LIVING WORD.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
O LORD our GOD, help us to see ourselves as YOU see us. Make us
conscious of our sins and failings done openly or in secret; cause us to
turn from our evil ways. Give us strength to make amends for our
wrongdoings, and grant us pardon from our transgressions. Guide us by
the LIGHT of YOUR council. May we ever find strength in YOU, our SHIELD
and EXCEEDINGLY GREAT JOY. Praised are YOU, GIVER of peace.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 38 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Thu 01 Jul 2010, 10:05 am

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Don't set your goal to be a person of success, but rather a person of
value.
THE TORN VEIL
Under the OLD COVENANT, the Israelites were restricted concerning the
Temple, for they were allowed only through the gate or first entrance,
into the Court. They were shut off from the Holy Place by the Curtain
called "The Door." Only the priests were allowed through this DOOR.
A Jew, under the FIRST COVENANT, could not enter. Two sons of Aaron
(Nadab & Abihu) were struck dead when they attempted to enter bringing
strange fire rather than the required fire from the Sacrifice Altar.
[Leviticus/Vayikra 10. 1 - 7] King Uzziah, tried to enter the Holy
Place to burn incense and was struck with leprosy, consequently he lived
the rest of his days in a leper house. [2 Chronicles/Dibre Hayamin Bet
26. 18 - 19] From this we learn that it is imperative that we worship
the MOST HOLY LORD GOD HIS way, not ours. The priests were shut off
from the Holy of Holies by the Veil. Only one man, the High Priest, was
allowed through the Veil into the Holy of Holies once a year; and at
that time he could not enter unless he carried the blood of the
sin-offering. {Moses, was also allowed into the Holy of Holies at any
time by GOD'S appointment -- see Exodus/Shemot 25. 22}
However, something happened to change these restrictions. They were done
away in the MESSIAH JESUS for HE fulfilled the OLD COVENANT to establish
a NEW! "YESHUA (the LORD JESUS), when HE had cried out again with a
loud voice, yielded up HIS SPIRIT. And, behold, the Veil of the TEMPLE
was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks
were split." [Matthew 27. 50 - 51]
At the moment MESSIAH YESHUA died, the Veil ceased to exist. The LORD
JESUS died at 3:00 in the afternoon which was the time of the evening
sacrifice (Hebrew: bain ha'arbaiim -- between the evenings) in the
Temple. The priests were in the Holy Place in front of the Veil engaged
in their duties when this happened. How awful and wonderful was the
scene! They could see into the secret of the Holy of Holies. They could
enter in!
It was not by the hand of any man that this work was done! According to
some commentators on Jewish history, this Veil was 4 inches thick. It
was about 30 feet wide and 60 feet high, higher than a man could reach
and stronger than a man could rip apart. It is said that a team of oxen
tied to either end of the Veil and pulling in opposite directions would
not have had the power to divide it. And, nothing else in the building
was shaken or marred in any way. It did not fall in tatters…a piece
here and a piece there…it was torn in the middle in two equal
pieces. It was torn from Top to the Bottom in a straight line downwards
and completely through. It was not jerked apart by anyone from below,
but cleanly cut by an "INVISIBLE HAND" from above.
Being torn from the top and not from the bottom clearly shows that the
MIGHTY GOD SUPREME had been there and ripped that curtain apart,
throwing the Holy of Holies open -- not just once a year to the High
Priest only, but to everyone whom the blood of YESHUA ha'MASHIACH has
cleansed! In other words, GOD, the KEEPER OF THE COVENANT is no longer
shut in alone. . . HE can be approached. HE can be met, known, touched
and experienced personally. Both Jew and Gentile who have come to the
MIGHTY GOD OF JACOB through the LORD JESUS, the LIVING MEDIATOR are no
longer shut off, but can now boldly come past the Door...past the Veil.
. . all the way into the incredible Holy of Holies meet with the
ALMIGHTY LORD GOD OF HOSTS, the MIGHTY DEFENDER OF ISRAEL!
"Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holies by the blood
of MESSIAH YESHUA, by a new and living way which HE consecrated for us,
through the Veil, that is, HIS flesh (freshly slain), and having a HIGH
PRIEST over the House of GOD, let us draw near with a true heart in full
assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience
and our bodies washed with pure water." [Hebrews 10. 19 - 22]
Day by day, may we draw nearer and higher to the ROCK, our SHELTER &
STRONG TOWER and abide in HIS Tabernacle and trust in the SHELTER of HIS
wings. This is our prayer for you.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Merciful KING awaken our soul to grateful acknowledgement of YOUR grace
which has bestowed upon us the gift of life, and make our pathway come
in safety to the coveted goal -- YOUR LOVING PRESENCES. LORD, YOUR
loving-kindness is mighty over us, and we are ever grateful to YOU.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 38 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Wed 30 Jun 2010, 4:29 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Everyone fears a goat from the front, a horse from the rear, and a fool
on every side.
SUBMISSION
"Submit to one another in the fear of GOD and CHRIST." [Ephesians 5. 21]
"Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in
lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each
of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the
interests of others." [Philippians 2. 3 - 4]
When we are truly in a right relationship with the GREAT GOD OF HEAVEN,
we will be submissive, patient, long-suffering, receptive and honest
with one another. YESHUA ha'MASHIACH taught that serving others was of
much greater value in the eyes of ALMIGHTY GOD than mastering over them.
Selfishness, self-indulgence or an unwillingness to serve among
believers brings about many conflicts. "Where do wars and fights come
from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war
in your members?" [James 4. 1] A SPIRIT-filled CHRISTian, one whose
thoughts and actions are moment-by-moment controlled by the MASTER,
desires to submit and serve, rather than to assert and rule.
"Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with
humility, for GOD resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble." [1
Peter 5. 5] "Thus says the HIGH & LOFTY ONE WHO forever dwells on high
in holiness with him who has a contrite and lowly spirit." [Isaiah
(Yeshayah) 57. 15 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "At scoffers HE scoffs, but to the
lowly HE shows grace." [Proverbs (Mishle) 3. 34 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
"Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for
your souls, as those who must give account." [Hebrews 13. 17]
"Recognize those who labour among you, and are over you in the LORD and
admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love for their work's
sake. Be at peace among yourselves." [1 Thessalonians 5. 12 - 13]
"Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the LORD'S
sake, whether to the kings as supreme, or to governors, as to those who
are sent by HIM for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of
those who do good." [1 Peter 2. 13; also see Ezekiel/Yehezke-El 3. 17 -
19]
The Hebrew word "raphac" -- translated submit, clearly means to
"prostrate, humble, to line up under, to rank lower than." Our
objective, therefore, should be to place others above ourselves and be
in submission to and in service of them.
This was the attitude of the LORD JESUS. HE left the splendor of HIS
Heavenly Home to come and be under the Law, to serve mankind, then die
in our place. The MESSIAH YESHUA "made HIMSELF of no reputation, taking
the form of a SERVANT, and coming in the likeness of men. And being
found in appearance as a MAN, HE humbled HIMSELF and became obedient to
the point of death, even the death of the cross." [Philippians 2. 7 - 8]
"JESUS, the AUTHOR and FINISHER of our faith, WHO for the joy that was
set before HIM endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down
at the right hand of the Throne of GOD." [Hebrews 12. 2] We should
cheerfully, eagerly submit to the GOD, our HEAVENLY FATHER, just as
YESHUA, the ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, joyfully submitted to HIS FATHER'S will.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Our souls thirst for YOU, O FATHER GOD, as the hart after the refreshing
water brook. When we would escape from the storms of earthly life, where
can we find refuge but in YOU? As one week swiftly follows week and man
gives no heed, so pass the years away, and the end of our works draws
near. Help us so to live that our souls may look upon these transient
scenes with calmness and contentment, assured that at last we shall rest
in the light of YOUR countenance and rejoice in YOUR goodness forever.
Truly, freedom of the soul comes through obedience to YOUR commandments.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 38 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Tue 29 Jun 2010, 11:55 am

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The OMNISCIENT GOD ETERNAL decides what shall befall a person, heaven or
hell; but not whether the person will be righteous or evil.

BE SEPARATE
"Come out from among them and be separate, says the LORD. Do not touch
what is unclean, and I will receive you. I will be a FATHER to you, and
you shall be MY sons and daughters, says the LORD ALMIGHTY." [2
Corinthians 6. 17 - 18]

This scriptURE is talking about false teachings. To our tragic
misfortune and affliction, the DOCTRINE of SEPARATION from "the unclean
thing" is neglected today by many who profess to be CHRIST-like-ones.
The Apostle Paul is warning against and earnestly urging us to "cleanse
ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting
holiness in the fear of GOD." [2 Corinthians 7. 1] Correspondingly in
the OLD COVENANT, the commandment is there: "Depart! turn away! touch
nothing unclean as you depart from there; KEEP PURE, as you go forth
from there, you who bear the vessels of the LORD!" [Isaiah (Yeshayah)
52. 11 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The "vision of holiness" is lost among many large divisions of the
evangelical community; and people are loosing their will to survive.
Instead of contending (fighting) for the faith, they accommodate other
religions with vastly deviant doctrines and heretical or cultic
theological systems as the wave of the future floods over them.
Therefore, Evangelism becomes offensive and "defending the faith"
becomes contemptuous according to the religiously (in-) correct rule of
conduct. In reality, such accommodation is a new, more seductive form
of universality than the brand liberal religionists passed off on a
number of major denominations more than a half-century ago. This is a
concept of Humanism which promotes a kind of brotherhood through
forfeiture or relinquishment that does not and cannot exist in reality
for anyone.

"Separation" does not mean to discontinue any contact at all with
unbelievers "since then you would need to go out of the world." [1
Corinthians 5. 10] YESHUA, the LORD & KING commanded us to, "Go into
all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." [Mark 16. 15]
HE also prayed to the FATHER "not that YOU should take them out of the
world, but that YOU should keep them from the evil one." [John 17. 15]

The LORD GOD OF HOSTS does demand, however, that we are not to
compromise with unbelief or with the unclean thing. We are "born anew"
into the family of the ALMIGHTY & HOLY GOD through simple faith in the
PERSON and saving work of the LORD JESUS. The full manifestation and
fellowship of our relation with the HEAVENLY FATHER as HIS spiritual
sons and daughters is based on the profound principle of "separation
from all unbelief and filthiness of the flesh" with YESHUA ha'MASHIACH
as our PERFECT EXAMPLE. "For such a HIGH PRIEST was fitting for us, WHO
is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become
higher than the heavens." [Hebrews 7. 26]

It is one thing to have eternal life by faith (trust); it is quite
another thing to have abundant life by faith (confidence). It is one
thing for you to become the righteousness of GOD in MESSIAH YESHUA - and
another for you to realize HIS righteousness life is in you. And, to
realize the life you live in MESSIAH as compared to HIM to live life
through you.

We are specifically warned to "turn away" from those who present false
doctrine while "having a form of godliness but denying the power
thereof." [2 Timothy 3. 5]." This is particularly applicable today for
those who attempt to accommodate the coarse unrefined attitude of modern
humanism and make it appear to be within the HOLY WRITTEN scriptURES.
We are to be a holy, undefiled, separate, unique, set-apart,
extraordinarily special people to GOD MOST HIGH having the sweet
fragrance of HIS PRESENCE dwelling within us.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
This evening begins a day of fast (17 Tammuz/June 29, 2010 [sundown to
sundown]), remembering the walls of Jerusalem being breached.
Toward YOU alone, SOVEREIGN LORD GOD, is my desire, and all my
thoughts are turned to YOU. My mind and my heart cling to YOU and thank
and praise YOU for YOUR many gifts of grace. Therefore, with trembling
reverence I place my body and soul, my spiritual life on the flaming
altar of devotion, as an offering to YOU, the ONLY ONE WHO'S supreme
greatness no mind can conceive or be sufficiently grateful. There is
peace, rest and unending happiness in the wonderful light of YOUR
PRESENCE. Thank YOU, for being my REFUGE.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Post  Admin Mon 28 Jun 2010, 4:27 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Fear is not a destination. . . it is simply a tour guide.

MAKER & CREATOR
"Come, let us bow down and kneel, bend the knee before the LORD our
MAKER, for HE is our GOD and we are the people HE tends, the flock in
HIS care." [Psalms (Tehillym) 95. 6 - 7 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

ALMIGHTY GOD is both CREATOR (BARA) and MAKER (`ASAH) of all things,
including the image of GOD in man. In Genesis we are told that GOD
said, "Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness"
[Genesis/Bereshith 1. 26 - 27] and also that HE "created man in HIS
OWN image." [Genesis/Bereshith 1. 2 - 3] Likewise, on the seventh
day, GOD "ceased from all HIS work of creation which HE had
made." [Genesis/Bereshith 2. 3] The terms, CREATOR and MAKER are
similar, but are not the same, although they appear to be used
interchangeably. Creation was called into existence, whereas the work
of making is that of organizing created entities into complex
arrangements. Only GOD is capable and proficient of creating.

HOLY SCRIPTURE states emphatically that the HEAVENLY ARCHITECT created
man in HIS image, and HE also made man in HIS image. Thus, HE called
into existence the spiritual component of man's nature, not shared
in any degree with animals. The MASTER DESIGNER created and made man,
not only with a complex, highly organized human body, but also fashioned
them into that image that GOD HIMSELF would one day assume when HE
became an incarnate human being. In this way HE is both CREATOR and
MAKER of HIS image in each person.

That image has been marred because of sin, but through the redeeming
work of the LORD JESUS, we have been "renewed in knowledge after the
image of HIM that created him...for CHRIST is all and in all."
[Colossians 3. 10] And, the GREAT OMNIPOTENT FASHIONER "will
transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to HIS glorious
body." [Philippians 3. 21] "For we are HIS workmanship, created
in MESSIAH YESHUA for good works, which GOD prepared beforehand that we
should walk in them." [Ephesians 2. 10]

May we each individually humble ourselves and kneel before the LORD GOD
our CREATOR & MAKER and allow HIM to transform us completely into a
chosen, precious and pleasing vessel of service for the KING'S use.
How much more glorious our lives would be if we would allow MESSIAH
complete management.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
O GOD, YOU are our REFUGE and our HOPE, we glorify YOUR NAME. YOU are
the LIVING GOD, YOUR Words bring life and light to the soul. YOU are the
strength of our life, the ROCK of our salvation. YOUR Kingdom and YOUR
Truth abide forever. Praised are YOU, our REDEEMER, the HOLY ONE of
Israel.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 38 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Ignorance is a bliss. . . until stupidity sets in.
SECRETS WITH GOD
"Let me know YOUR paths, O LORD; teach me YOUR ways. The secret of the
LORD is for those who fear HIM; to them HE makes known HIS covenant."
[Psalms (Tehillym) 25. 4, 14 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
"Indeed, the LORD GOD does nothing unless HE reveals HIS secret to HIS
servants the prophets." [Amos (Amus) 3. 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Without a
doubt, the HOLY ONE loves us and has shown it by giving HIS OWN SON,
MESSIAH YESHUA, to pay our penalty, a price we could never satisfy.
"Times for judgment are not hidden from the ALMIGHTY." [Job (Iyob) 24. 1
Tanakh, Kethuvim]
"The concealed acts belong to the LORD our GOD, but those things which
are revealed is for us and our children ever to apply, that we may do
all the words of this TEACHING." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 29. 29 Tanakh,
Torah] "HIS secret counsel is with the upright." [Proverbs (Mishle) 3.
32 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "HE reveals deep and secret things; HE knows what
is in the darkness, and light dwells with HIM." [Daniel (Danyel) 2. 22
Tanakh, Kethuvim]
The LORD JESUS spoke in parables to fulfill that which was spoken of the
prophets, "I will open MY mouth in parables; I will utter things kept
secret from the foundation of the world." [Matthew 13. 35]
The WORD OF GOD was given which is "the mystery which has been hidden
from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to HIS saints.
To them GOD willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of
this mystery among the Gentiles: which is CHRIST in you, the hope of
glory." [Colossians 1. 26 - 27] The things which GOD has prepared for
those who love HIM are "revealed to us through HIS SPIRIT. For the
SPIRIT searches all things, yes, the deep things of GOD." [1 Corinthians
2. 9 - 10] And, it is the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD WHO teaches us the things
of our FAITHFUL & TRUE CREATOR.
The CHOSEN SERVANT, the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA commissioned us, with great
authority, to "Go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them
- and teaching them to observe (obey) all things that I have commanded
you." [Matthew 28. 19 - 20]
Those who belong to the ALMIGHTY LORD GOD OF HEAVEN can thank and praise
HIM for HE has given us wisdom, knowledge, discernment and the ability
to understand. How can one help but love, adore and obey HIM!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Grant us clearness of vision, O LORD GOD, to see life as a whole - from
youth to old age - and be comforted in confident faith that with YOU,
the best is yet to be.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
When GOD wants to break a man's heart, He gives him a lot of sense.
PRAISE & THANKS
"She (Leah) conceived again and bore a son, and declared, 'This time I
will praise the LORD.' Therefore she named him Judah." [Genesis
(Bereshith) 29. 35 Tanakh, Torah]
Judah, the fourth son of Jacob born from his first wife, Leah. The
Hebrew word for Judah, "yadah" - is most often translated "praise,
celebrate" -- but even more frequently, it is translated "thank,
thanks."
Although Ruben, Simeon and Levi were all older brothers of Judah, the
Holy One of Israel chose Judah to be the father of the tribe which
Messiah YESHUA would come into the world through. Whenever Leah spoke
to her son, she would actually be saying, "Thanks! For this gift of a
special son."
We also continually give thanks every day for that SPECIAL SON OF THE
TRIBE OF JUDAH, the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH. And as Judah later was
willing to offer his own life for his brother, Benjamin
[Genesis/Bereshith 43. 4], out of love for both his brothers and his
father, so this distant GRANDSON of Judah was willing to lay down HIS
OWN life to save those whom He was glad to call His brothers. [Hebrews
2. 11 - 12]
In the last reference to Judah in HOLY SCRIPTURES, this SON of Judah is
called the "LION of the Tribe of Judah" WHO will one day be acknowledged
as KING over all the earth. [Revelation 5. 5] The last mention of
"thanks" in the HOLY WORD is when the elders of the church in heaven cry
out saying: "We give You thanks, O LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, the ONE WHO is and
Who was and Who is to come, because YOU have taken Your great power and
reigned. The nations were angry, and YOUR wrath has come, and the time
of the dead, that they should be judged, and that You should reward Your
servants the prophets and the saints, and those who fear YOUR NAME,
small and great, and should destroy those who destroy the earth."
[Revelation 11. 17 - 18]
We have so much to be thankful for, but mostly we are thankful for the
Son of God, our Blessed Creator, Loving Saviour & Soon-Coming King.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
All goodness and truth are YOURS, YEHOWAH, O LORD, SOVEREIGN of the
Universe. May no evil estrange us from YOU , nor error darken our vision
of YOUR purposes. Help us to discern YOUR justice and to understand YOUR
will. In adversity and in prosperity, let YOUR Law be a lamp to our feet
to illumine our path. May we so labour in YOUR service that our lives
become a hymn of praise to YOU. Amen

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 38 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Thu 24 Jun 2010, 7:53 am

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Man's justice is simply a distraction completely devoid of reality.
ALIVE IN MESSIAH YESHUA
"Set your affections on things above, not on things on the earth. For
you died, and your life is hidden with CHRIST in GOD. When MESSIAH, WHO
is our life, appears, then you also will appear with HIM in glory."
[Colossians 3. 2 - 4]
Looking forward to the time when we will "ever be with the LORD" [1
Thessalonians 4. 17], Paul wrote, "I am hard pressed between the two,
having a desire to depart and be with CHRIST, which is far better,
nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you."
[Philippians 1. 23 - 24]
Nonetheless, we can be with the LORD JESUS, even while still enduring in
the flesh. This is the great principle called positional truth.
Positionally we are already "with CHRIST" -- for that is where CREATOR
GOD sees us and how HE relates to us. HE has "raised us up together
and made us sit together in heavenly places in MESSIAH YESHUA."
[Ephesians 2. 6]
We first have to die with the LORD JESUS, however, before we can be
raised up with HIM. "I am crucified with CHRIST; nevertheless I live;
yet not I, but CHRIST lives in me." [Galatians 2. 20] OMNISCIENT GOD
even saw us as buried with the crucified SAVIOUR when HE was buried, and
this is the great truth symbolized in our baptism. "We are buried with
HIM by baptism into death." [Romans 6. 4]
"Now if we be dead with CHRIST, we believe that we shall also live with
HIM; knowing that JESUS, being raised from the dead, dies no more. Death
no longer has dominion over HIM." [Romans 6. 8 - 9] YESHUA ha'MASHIACH
died for us, so our deserved death became HIS substitutionary death.
And, marvelous of wonders, JESUS' victorious resurrection becomes our
own unmerited deliverance from death in eternal resurrection life. This
is our position now and our assured everlasting possession then, for we
are with the LORD MESSIAH, WHO will never die again.
This wonderful truth should give us real motivational incentive and
courage to focus our thoughts on GODly living to fulfill the desire of
our MASTER DESIGNER until we are in HIS PRESENCE evermore. This event
will be happening very soon!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Our prayers, be'esrat ha'Shem (with the help of GOD), is that
LORD GOD ALMIGHTY will cause the whole House of Israel, and the whole
House of Judah to cling to HIM that they may become a people of GOD, for
praise and for glory that all should fear and tremble at HIS PRESENCE
and know that HE alone is the LOVING SOVEREIGN GOD.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 38 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Tue 22 Jun 2010, 10:56 am

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Nobody has a monopoly on regret.
LIFE LOST, LIFE GAINED
"When HE (MESSIAH YESHUA) had called the people to HIMSELF, with HIS
disciples also, HE said to them: 'Whoever desires to come after ME, let
him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow ME. For whoever
desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for MY
sake and the GOSPEL'S will save it.'" [Mark 8. 34 - 35]
This precept was emphasized by the LORD JESUS in various messages as HE
tried to communicate its intensely profound importance. "Whoever does
not take his cross and follow after ME is not worthy of ME. He who finds
his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for MY sake will find
it." [Matthew 10. 38 - 39]
"If anyone desires to come after ME, let him deny himself, and take up
his cross DAILY, and follow ME. For whoever desires to save his life
will lose it, but whoever loses his life for MY sake will save it. For
what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself
destroyed or lost?" [Luke 9. 23 - 25] "Whoever seeks to save his life
will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it." [Luke 17.
33] "He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in
this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves ME, let him
follow ME; and where I am, there MY servant will be also. If anyone
serves ME, him MY FATHER will honour." [John 12. 25 - 26]
This amazing and wonderfully extraordinary paradox -- "to die means to
live" -- is also found in the epistles expressed in a different way.
Paul said, "I am crucified with CHRIST; nevertheless I live." [Galatians
2. 20] "HE (MESSIAH YESHUA) died for all, that those who live should
live no longer for themselves, but for HIM WHO died for them and rose
again." [2 Corinthians 5. 15; 6. 9; Romans 12. 1 - 2; Philippians 1. 21
- 24] "This is a faithful saying: for IF we died with HIM, we shall
also live with HIM. IF we endure, we shall also reign with HIM. IF we
deny HIM, HE also will deny us. IF we are faithless, HE remains
faithful; HE cannot deny HIMSELF." [2 Timothy 2. 11 - 13]
The HOPE OF ISRAEL, the LORD JESUS, wants us to live in simple obedience
to "HIS perfect will" -- as recorded in HIS HOLY WORD, proclaiming in
all that we say and do that HE is CREATOR, SAVIOUR, REDEEMER, and the
soon-coming TRIUMPHANT KING. HIS will teaches us righteousness which
is the way to life eternal. "Oh, how I love YOUR TEACHINGS! It is my
meditation all the day long." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 97 Tanakh,
Kethuvim]

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
O GOD, keep my tongue from evil and my lips from speaking guile. Be my
support when grief silences my voice, and my comfort when woe bends my
spirit. Plant humility in my soul, and strengthen my heart with perfect
faith in YOU. Help me to be strong in trial and temptation and to be
patient and forgiving when others wrong me. Guide me by the Light of
YOUR counsel, that I may ever find strength in YOU, my ROCK and my
REDEEMER. Thank YOU! Amen.
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Post  Admin Mon 21 Jun 2010, 2:02 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Each child carries his own blessing into the world.

FATHER'S INSTRUCTIONS
"My son, heed the discipline of your father, and do not forsake the
instruction of your mother." [Proverbs (Mishle) 1. 8 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Proverbs is the best book "for learning wisdom and discipline; for
understanding words of discernment; for acquiring the discipline for
success, righteousness, justice, and equity for endowing the simple with
shrewdness, the young with knowledge and foresight." [Proverbs (Mishle)
1. 2-4 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Then there are the Proverbs that are laid out
in the form of lessons. David, in all probability, compiled these
lessons for each of them begins with the loving words "my son" or
"sons." [Proverbs/Mishle 1. 8; 2. 1; 3. 1, 11, 21; 4. 1, 10, 20; 5. 1,
7; 6. 20; 7. 1, 24; 8. 32]

The first one urges the importance of children being willing to heed the
counsel of their parents. One of the main characteristics of the "last
days" is predicted to be the fact that children will be "disobedient to
parents." [2 Timothy 3. 1-2] "Children, obey your parents in the LORD;
for this is right. Honour your father and mother; which is the first
commandment with promise." [Ephesians 6. 1-2] This applies especially
to children with GOD-fearing parents as we teach obedience to all the
commands of our LOVING HEAVENLY FATHER through the LORD JESUS, the
BLESSED MESSIAH REDEEMER.

It is extremely important that each lesson emphasizes the immediate
significance for young people to obey the WORD OF GOD as taught them by
their parents. "Wise counsel, learning, discretion, instruction,
knowledge, understanding and wisdom" are promised over and over to those
who know, love and obey GOD'S HOLY WRITTEN WORD.

"My son, IF you accept My Words and treasure up My commandments; IF you
make your ear attentive to wisdom and your mind open to discernment; IF
you call to understanding and cry aloud to discernment, IF you seek her
as you do silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures; THEN you
will understand the fear of the LORD and attain knowledge of GOD."
[Proverbs (Mishle) 2. 1-5 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
As we bid farewell to Sabbath at the Havdallah Ceremony, we use all of
our senses: We taste the wine, smell the spices, see the shadow of
candles, hear prayers and songs, touch family and friends as we wish
them a Good Week.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!
HOW TO BE ONE OF GOD'S TEN MOST WANTED MEN:
1 The man who puts GOD'S business above other business. Be an
"approachable" father. A child's heart is not a spigot, but a well.
Dad's take time to talk with your children.
2 The man who brings his children to church rather than sending them.
Know the MIGHTY CREATOR personally. A good Dad's schedule includes time
for his wife and children; as well time to studying the WORD OF GOD.
3 The man who is willing to be the right example to every boy he meets.
4 The man who thinks more of his time alone in prayer with the HOLY ONE
than he does of his hours sleeping.
5 The man who measures his giving by what he has left rather than by
the amount he gives.
6 The man who goes to church to worship the LOVING CREATOR rather than
for show or duty.
7 The man who has more passion to help others than he has to be helped
himself. And to be an affectionate father. Take time to be with your
wife and children, meet their emotional as well as their physical needs.
Be a companion who confides your thoughts and feelings to them. Fulfill
the role as spiritual leader of the household, and be faithful before
GOD.
8 The man who can see his own faults before he sees the faults of
others. Patience of a Dad will cultivate a pleasant, patient, positive
personality. Ask the ALMIGHTY ONE to help you control your temper, and
learn to smile and talk more with your family.
9 The man who stands firm in his convictions, based on the WORD OF GOD;
be "CHRIST-like."
10 The man who is more concerned about winning souls for Messiah YESHUA
than he is about winning honour. Be assuring! A good Dad leads a
blameless life of high character. He is committed to the GREAT PROVIDER,
GOD MOST HIGH, to HIS HOLY WORD, to prayer, and to his wife and family.
Then, he is an honest model of integrity for his children.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 38 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Sat 19 Jun 2010, 11:44 am

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Segregation is for people who are unworthy to enjoy the magnificent
splendor of your company.

THREE BAPTISMS
"Therefore leaving the elementary principles of CHRIST, let us go on to
perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead
works and of faith toward GOD, of the doctrine of baptisms." [Hebrews 6.
1 - 2]

There are three baptisms mentioned in HOLY SCRIPTURE and each is vitally
important for the believer's growth, for knowledge, and perfection.
YESHUA ha'MASHIACH is our "PERFECT EXAMPLE" of these:

WATER BAPTISM: The LORD JESUS was baptized by John at the River Jordan.
When John saw HIM, his reply was "I need to be baptized by YOU, and are
YOU coming to me? JESUS replied, 'Permit it to be so now, for thus it is
fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.' Then John allowed HIM."
[Matthew 3. 13 - 15]

Likewise, we who are in CHRIST are "buried with HIM in baptism, in which
you also were raised with HIM through faith in the working of GOD, who
raised HIM from the dead." [Colossians 2. 12]

BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT: "Then JESUS, when HE had been baptized,
came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened
to HIM, and HE saw the SPIRIT OF GOD descending like a dove and
alighting upon HIM." [Matthew 3. 16] Thus fulfilling Isaiah 11:2 -- "I
have put MY SPIRIT upon HIM." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 42. 1] "Then JESUS was
led up by the SPIRIT into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil."
[Matthew 4. 1]

In like manner, the HOLY SPIRIT in us becomes our STRENGTHENING ENABLER.
"You shall be baptized with the HOLY SPIRIT...you shall receive "power"
when the HOLY SPIRIT has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to
ME." [Acts 1. 5, 8] And, we can be MESSIAH'S witness to all men with a
clear conscience, that we have obeyed HIS commands. We are enabled to
do so, because...since the baptism of the HOLY SPIRIT. . . we have the
ENABLER working in us.

BAPTISM OF SUFFERING: MESSIAH YESHUA was talking with two of HIS
disciples about their positions in HIS glory. MESSIAH replied, "You do
not know what you ask. Can you drink the cup that I drink, and be
baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?" [Mark 10. 38] The
LORD JESUS has previously been talking about HIS coming crucifixion.
[HIS Baptism of Suffering; see Mark 10. 32 - 44] CHRIST assured them
"you will indeed drink MY cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I
am baptized with." [Matthew 20. 23] Then YESHUA warns of the costs of
discipleship, "I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were
already kindled! But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how
distressed I am till it is accomplished!" [Luke 12. 49 - 50] "There
will not be peace on earth, but division." [Luke 12. 51] "Brother will
deliver up brother to death, a father his child; children rise up
against parents and cause them to be put to death. A man's foes will be
those of his own household." [Matthew 10. 21, 36] These are only a few
examples of the believer's baptism of fire.

"Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather,
fear HIM, WHO is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." [Matthew
10. 28] Be Wise! -- understand what the will of the LORD is: "Only to
do justice, and to love mercy, to walk humbly with and serve the LORD
your GOD." [Micah (Michah) 6. 8 Tanakh, Nevi'im] It will be worth it
all when we see CHRIST, the KING WHO served to save.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Open your mouth in holiness and purity, with song and psalm, and bless
and praise, glorify and revere, sanctify and ascribe sovereignty to the
NAME of the DIVINE KING, the GREAT, MIGHTY & AWESOME ONE. . . holy is
HE. Take upon yourself the yoke of the Kingdom of Heaven and give
sanction to one another to bless the CREATOR. In tranquil joy of spirit,
with pure speech and holy melody exclaim: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD
OF HOSTS, the whole earth is full of HIS glory."

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A king of flesh and blood stamps his image on a coin, hence all coins
look and are alike; but the KING of kings has stamped everyman with the
seal of the first man, yet no man is like any other. [ -MISHNA 4.5]

BLESSED WALK
"Happy and blessed is the man who has not followed the counsel of the
wicked, or taken the path of the sinners, or joined the company of the
insolent; but rather, the Teachings of the LORD is his delight, and he
studies and recites that teaching day and night. He is like a tree
planted beside streams of water, which yields its fruit in season, whose
foliage never fades; and whatever he does, he prospers." [Psalms
(Tehillym) 1. 1 - 3 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

A good illustration of an "empty experience" is "self-centeredness."
The world seeks Happiness, but the only happiness it finds is brief as
real joy cannot be found. Joy, however, transcends the circumstances;
it is a happiness which has its source in things the world can not
offer. GOD'S WRITTEN WORD, the SACRED SCRIPTURES, give us directions
and highly endorsed instructions for obtaining this joy.

Various man-made religions teach that GOD'S Law is bondage. HOLY
SCRIPTURES tell it differently. . . it is the only SOURCE of GREAT JOY.
Only the WORD OF GOD can really satisfy us!

Our GRACIOUS HEAVENLY FATHER gives many teachings to HIS children for
their own good, worth, advantage, moral integrity and discipline. "Know
in your heart that the LORD your GOD disciplines you just as a man
disciplines his son. Therefore, keep the commandments of the LORD your
GOD; walk in HIS ways and revere HIM." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 8. 5 - 6
Tanakh, Torah] "For whom the LORD loves HE chastens, and scourges every
son whom HE receives." [Hebrews 12. 6] "Do not reject the discipline of
YEHOWAH, my son; Do not abhor HIS rebuke. For whom YEHOWAH loves, HE
rebukes, as a father the son whom he favours and delights." [Proverbs
(Mishle) 3. 11 – 12 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Today, society is finding out the hard way that the rules of conduct
laid down in GOD'S TRUTH are not to take away our fun, but are there for
our own benefit. "Seek the favour of the LORD and HE will grant you the
desires of your heart." [Psalms (Tehillym) 37. 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
Unmistakably, as we delight ourselves in HIM, the desires of our heart
will be changed. "In HIS PRESENCE is fullness and joy. In HIS right
hand there are pleasures forever more." [Psalms (Tehillym) 16. 11
Tanakh, Torah] We can have the DELIGHT of our life, the LORD JESUS, in
our lives now and for all eternity.

"How precious is YOUR faithful care, O GOD! Mankind shelters in the
shadow of YOUR wings. They feast on the rich fare of YOUR house; YOU let
them drink at YOUR refreshing stream." [Psalms (Tehillym) 36. 7 - 8
Tanakh, Torah] There is great contentment, pleasure, and indescribable
joy in knowing YESHUA ha'MASHIACH as your LORD & SAVIOUR!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
HEAVENLY FATHER, WHO has graciously endowed mankind with reason and
understanding, send us the LIGHT of YOUR TRUTH, that we may gain insight
into the wisdom of YOUR ways. Forgive our sins, pardon our failings, and
remove from us the thoughts of evil and selfish desire that we may truly
revere YOUR HOLY NAME. May the erring and the wayward be led to know
YOUR loving-kindness, and to serve YOU in newness of heart; and may the
righteous and those who love virtue, be ever glad in YOUR favour. YOU
know our needs before we utter them, and ordain all things for the best.
Praised are YOU, O LORD, WHO hears our prayer. Amen!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 38 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Wed 16 Jun 2010, 12:31 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
To praise the MightY Rock of our salvation is a delight.

Yehowah Rapha
"If you will heed the LORD your GOD diligently, doing what is upright in
HIS sight, giving ear to HIS commandments and keeping all HIS Laws, then
I will not bring upon you any of the diseases that I brought upon the
Egyptians, for I the LORD am your HEALER." [Exodus (Shemot) 15. 26
Tanakh, Torah]

All praise and thanks to our LOVING ETERNAL GOD! HE still heals today.
HE is the same WONDERFUL MIRACLE-WORKING OMNIPOTENT LORD, able to
deliver from every power of the old devil. Our GRACIOUS EVERLASTING
KING has not changed HIS covenant or HIS NAME!

In the OLD COVENANT the Jewish prophet Isaiah asks a question concerning
the OMNIPOTENT LORD that heals. "Who can believe what we have heard?
Upon whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?" [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 53.
1 Tanakh, Nevi'im] The NEW COVENANT holds the answer. . .when the
Almighty'S arm was revealed through Messiah Yeshua: "But although He
(MESSIAH YESHUA) had done so many signs before them, they did not
believe in HIM, that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled,
which he spoke: 'LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT? AND TO WHOM HAS THE
ARM OF THE LORD BEEN REVEALED?'" [John 12. 37 - 38]

The Prophet Isaiah saw the SUFFERING MESSIAH and exclaimed, "Yet it was
our sickness that HE was bearing, our suffering that HE endured. We
accounted HIM plagued, smitten and afflicted by GOD; but HE was wounded
because of our sins, crushed because of our iniquities, HE bore the
chastisement that made us whole, and by HIS stripes Was healing granted
to us." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 53. 4 - 5 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Again in the NEW COVENANT, this prophecy is fulfilled in the LORD JESUS,
"When evening had come, they brought to HIM (YESHUA) many who were
demon-possessed. And HE cast out the spirits with HIS word, and healed
all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah
the prophet, saying: 'He Himself took our infirmities and bore our
sicknesses.'" [Matthew 8. 16 - 17]

King David knew the GREAT PHYSICIAN as well. His heart went up in
praise to YAH as he spoke these praises: "Bless the LORD, O my soul and
do not forget all HIS bounties. HE forgives all your sins, heals all
your diseases." [Psalms (Tehillym) 103. 2 - 3 Tanakh, Kethuvim ]

Moses, also, knew the MIGHTY HEALER. The HOLY ONE commanded him to
raise a "copper serpent upon a pole" so the Israelites who had been
poisoned in their bodies, looking upon it would BE HEALED!
[Numbers/B'Midvar 21] And, as Moses lifted up the fiery serpent in the
wilderness, so must the SON OF MAN be lifted up that those who were
poisoned by sin and disease, looking upon HIM (specifically, believed in
the SON OF MAN, MESSIAH YESHUA), could be healed.

At the time of the first Passover, the Israelites were commanded to take
a lamb, kill it, shed its blood, and eat its meat. Not only was the
blood given for redemption of the soul, but the meat of the lamb was to
be eaten for strength and health for the journey into the Land of
Promise.

CREATOR GOD expects every child of HIS who has applied the blood of the
LAMB (Yeshua, GOD'S SON) to their hearts' door in faith for deliverance
from soul bondage, to also partake, by faith, of the meat of the GOD'S
LAMB for strength and health through this wilderness (world) journey
into the Promised Land! Not only was the blood of the LAMB shed for
remission of our sins, but HIS body was bruised and broken for our
physical health!

YESHUA ha'MASHIACH was made a curse in order to redeem us from the curse
of the Law. HE WHO knew no sin was made sin so that we, believing upon
HIM, might be delivered from sin. HE WHO knew no sickness, was made
sick that we, believing on HIM, might be delivered from sickness. Even
in death, complete healing does come to the believer, for we are
promised a new, incorruptible body like HIS. [1 Corinthians 15. 35 - 58]

My dear Jewish people, it was for you (and our beloved Gentiles
Brethren) that JESUS the LORD & SAVIOUR paid the price for our
deliverance and healing. Receive HIM today not only as your Messiah Who
has redeemed your soul, but also as "YEHOWAH RAPHA - The LORD that
HEALS." Our MERCIFUL, LOVING GOD is still able, and willing, and eager
to extend HIS mercy to all those who will call upon HIM in faith. All
things are possible to who ever believes!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 38 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Prayer is a path where there is none.

ROCK OF JUDGMENT & PROVISION
"The LORD spoke to Moses saying, 'You and your brother Aaron take the
rod and assemble the community, and before their very eyes speak to the
rock (Hebrew: cela - rock of provision) to yield its water. Thus you
shall produce water for them from the rock and provide drink for the
congregation and their beasts." [Numbers (B'Midvar) 20. 7 - 8 Tanakh,
Torah]

Once before under similar circumstances, OMNIPOTENT GOD had Moses strike
the rock (Hebrew: t'sur - rock of judgment) in Horeb to produce its
waters for the thirsty Israelites. [Exodus/Shemot 17. 6] Both times a
spring of water erupted which had then supplied their needs. When the
Israelites started taking the supply for granted instead of being
grateful for their blessings, then the HOLY ONE dried up the miraculous
waters. The LORD, the FOUNTAIN OF LIVING WATERS desired for them to
come to HIM, their "SOURCE" of blessings, and ask once again. Instead,
they grumbled and forgot all ALMIGHTY GOD'S previous gifts.

Therefore, YEHOWAH told Moses to do the asking for them, as they
watched. Moses was to take the Rod of GOD, by which all the miracles
were performed. Thus showing the peoples that Moses and Aaron were
still their leaders, and the GREAT GOD OF HOSTS was still able to supply
their needs. In his anger, however, Moses first rebuked the doubting
Israelites, then struck the rock.

The ROCK OF JUDGMENT and the ROCK OF PROVISION both picture the LORD
YESHUA ha'MASHIACH; HE was struck in judgment for us, once and for all;
and ever after we are to SPEAK to HIM. For their disobedience and
neglect to bless the TRUE & LIVING GOD in the eyes of the children of
Israel, neither Moses nor Aaron were allowed to enter Canaan, the
Promised Land.

The GOD MOST HIGH alone is "THE ONE" WHO is due all trust, confidence,
honour, glory and praise. The MASTER CREATOR desires that we come to
HIM in faith believing, and with thankful hearts for HIS abundant
provisions and loving care.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
"MOST HOLY LORD, continue to impart YOUR blessing upon us. Teach us to
seek YOU evermore within the sanctuary of our souls, within the
tabernacle of YOUR world, and in the congregation of YOUR worshipers."
May the grace of our LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH be with you always, Amen!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.
