Message Title: Break Free
An amazing thing happens the second a person calls on Jesus Christ to
save them, regardless of who they are or what they have done, they
receive eternal life and are apart of the kingdom of God.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
- Romans 10:13.
Just because someone gets saved that does not mean that
he will change his life and allow Christ to live in it. The majority of
people who receive Christ will never acknowledge Him past the day they
get saved until the day they die or something tragic happens. While it
does not seem fair that they too get to be a part of the Kingdom of God,
can I tell you that they had to face far more trials than those who
chose to allow Him in their lives do. Why? The further a saved person
runs from God the more trials they face until they acknowledge Him, the
more they run, the harder the trials.
My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his
correction: For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the
son in whom he delighteth. - Proverbs 11,12.
Everything that God does and allows in our lives are used to
strengthen, grow, and prepare us in this life for His glory. One way or
another He is going to get us to see that He is always in control, no
matter how many people try to ignore or deny Him. If you have not
received Christ the time to do it is now, because you never know when
your last minute on the earth will be. Jesus reveals to John what is
about to happen when He returns, first, He brings along 144,000 men to
search out the last remnant of those who escaped the tribulation and
have not yet accepted Him as their Savior. And
I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an
hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in
their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many
waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of
harpers harping with their harps: And they sung as it were a new song
before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no
man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand,
which were redeemed from the earth. - Revelation 14:1-3.
The 144,000 having God's name written on their foreheads, who were the
Jews to be sealed during the Great Tribulation. These were undefiled
virgins of the flesh as well as the spirit. They were chosen by God to
be apart of His ministry in the midst of all the chaos. While most of us
here on earth can not vogue for being undefiled virgins, God knows
those who are His and He knows just exactly where you stand with Him.
While He may have never marked you for ministry, if you have come to
Jesus and asked Him to save you then you will join the multitudes
written in the Book of life.
After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number,
of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the
throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in
their hands; - Revelation 7:9.
Jesus is going to have one tough job to do when He returns, He is
going to have to find the very few people left on the earth that escaped
the tribulation and have not turned to Satan, remember in chapter 13 we
read about the mark of the beast. All who have the mark will be
destroyed, but the remnant will be saved.
And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like
unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a
sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a
loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap:
for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is
ripe. And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth;
and the earth was reaped. - Revelation 14:14-16.

Jesus needs our help too before He returns, Jesus
saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to
finish his work. Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh
harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the
fields; for they are white already to harvest. And he that reapeth
receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he
that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.
- John 4:34-36.
It is important that we talk to family, friends, and
anyone else who needs to be saved before it is too late. God blesses
both the saved and the one who led the saved. Praise God! When Jesus has
gathered up all His people that is when God will pour His wrath upon
all those who have the mark of the beast.
And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues,
clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with
golden girdles. And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels
seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and
ever. And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and
from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the
seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled. - Revelation 15:6-8.

Being saved does not exempt us from facing judgment, if any persist in
being subject to the beast, and in promoting his cause, they must
expect to be for ever miserable in body and soul, even if they do not
realize what they are doing. No none has to suffer needlessly, no one
has to go through life miserable looking for one escape after another.
If you are struggling, it's time to man up, get right with God, and stop
wallowing in your sorrows. God wants to help you, but you must
acknowledge Him and allow Him to work in your life. I have been there, I
spent several years away from Him and faced many trials, but it was
only when I sought Him that He was able to break me from being captive
to Satan. He will do the same for you too.
And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken
captive by him at his will. - II Timothy 2:24-26.

Message Title: Reunited With Christ
Perhaps the most powerful effect Satan has is upon the Church,
Christ's Church, also known as the New Testament church. Think about it,
Christ is the head of the Church, as Christians we are to all live by
one authority, God, through the New Testament of the Bible, that is, we
are to follow the doctrine of the Gospel, the death, burial, and
resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is God's only begotten Son,
born of a virgin and is God and His Word made flesh. “In
the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was
God...And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld
his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of
grace and truth.- John 1:1,14.
Unfortunately, not everyone lives by this authority,
therefore several denominations are a result. Who is the authority of
all these separate denominations? Satan. If he is going to start a war,
he is going to begin with the Church and he is succeeding at this
moment.
Jesus shows John how the church got separated from Him, And
there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun,
and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And
she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be
delivered. And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a
great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns
upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven,
and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman
which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it
was born. And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations
with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his
throne. - Revelation 12:1-5.
The woman represents the Church, she is the bride of Christ, we are
guided by the light, who is Christ. The child represents the birth and
ascension of Christ, the wilderness represents the desert like moral
condition of the world that is ruled by Satan and how he separates the
bride from the groom. Satan has been given four designations, the dragon
which portrays his monstrous character, the serpent which points out
his deceptiveness, the devil who reminds us that he is a slanderer and
liar, and Satan which means adversary. This separation caused a war in
heaven and Satan to be cast down to earth.
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and
Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth,
and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying
in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our
God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is
cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And
they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their
testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. - Revelation 12:9-11.

Satan is determined to try and destroy everything that Christ stands
for, but in the end the King of kings, Lord of lords is the one who will
prevail. Christ prevailed when He died on the cross and arose three
days later, those who ask Jesus to save them are a part of the church of
Christ. Praise God!

Satan knows his fate and because he knows his fate he is going to try
everything to prolong his life and take as many people with him as
possible. He is going to deceive many by passing himself off as Jesus.
And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And
deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles
which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that
dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which
had the wound by a sword, and did live. And he had power to give life
unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both
speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the
beast should be killed. - Revelation 13:11-15.
Went we get saved, we are reunited with our Savior Jesus Christ and
become apart of His Church. Since Satan is out to deceive us, even those
who walk with Christ already are not exempt, it is more important than
ever to hold on tight to Christ, get in His Word, learn of Him so you
can know the truth, get into a church that follows the authority of the
New Testament, there is only one thing that can protect us and that is
the whole armor of God. Whereforetake unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand
in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having
your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of
righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of
peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able
to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of
salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:- Ephesians 6:13-17.

Message Title: One Great Battle
As I was reading the chapters for today something came to my
attention, the Book of Revelation foretells a one great battle between
God and Satan. For thousands of years Satan deceived the earth,
destroying so many lives, now, God will come to claim the throne and the
lives he took. When you stop and think of the wars that have come and
gone and are in the midst of the world today you can imagine all the
destruction and lives lost that takes place during and even after. Now,
imagine that in every country, state, city, and even street on the
planet. Pretty scary stuff, huh? Makes one praise God that they have
Jesus in their lives. Jesus said, Verily,verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life...For as the Father
hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in
himself; And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because
he is the Son of man. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the
which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come
forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they
that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. - John 5:24,26-29.
Before Christ returns all hell is going to break loose, literally,
Jesus reveals to John a key that will open the bottomless pit of hell. And
the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the
earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. And
he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit,
as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened
by reason of the smoke of the pit. And there came out of the smoke
locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions
of the earth have power. And it was commanded them that they should not
hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree;
but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they
should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of
a scorpion, when he striketh a man.- Revelation 9:1-5.
Upon sounding the fifth trumpet, a star fell from heaven to the earth.
Having ceased to be a minister of Christ, he who is represented by this
star becomes the minister of Satan and lets loose the powers of hell
against the churches of Christ. On the opening of the bottomless pit,
there arose a great smoke. Satan carries on his designs by blinding the
eyes of men, by putting out light and knowledge, and promoting ignorance
and error. Out of this smoke there came a swarm of locusts. The trees
and the grass, the true believers, would be untouched. But a secret
poison and infection in the soul, should rob many others of purity, and
afterwards of peace. The locusts had no power to hurt those who had the
seal of God. God's all-powerful, distinguishing grace will keep His
people from this total and final destruction. Now
thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and
maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. For we
are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in
them that perish: - II Corinthians 2:14,15.
Now, Jesus reveals another angel, which held a little book in his hand, And
I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud:
and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun,
and his feet as pillars of fire: And he had in his hand a little book
open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the
earth, And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he
had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices...And the voice which I
heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little
book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea
and upon the earth. And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give
me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it
shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as
honey. And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it
up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten
it, my belly was bitter. And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again
before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings. - Revelation 10:1-3,8-11.
John is first given a little book, symbolic of God's Word, once it was digested, he was qualified to tell the world that the little book has
a message that is exceedingly sweet to those who receive Christ as
Savior. Eating all of it speaks of understanding and appropriating all
the Scriptures into our lives. To those who have not received Christ
those words would be like a sword piercing in the side. For
the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged
sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of
the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of
the heart. - Hebrews 4:12.
Jesus reveals one more trumpet that would bring an end to this great tribulation, His return. And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven,
saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord,
and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. And
the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell
upon their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, We give thee thanks, O
LORD God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou
hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned. And the nations
were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they
should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants
the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and
great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. - Revelation 11:15-18.
After all the tribulation Christ comes back the second time as King of
kings and Lord of lords, it is then that He begins to reign for ever
and ever throughout the ceaseless ages of eternity. This reign will
bring an end to sin and its originator, Satan, but will also commence
the full restoration of the earth. Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen. Charge
them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor
trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly
all things to enjoy; That they do good, that they be rich in good works,
ready to distribute, willing to communicate; Laying up in store for
themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay
hold on eternal life.- I Timothy 6:15-19.
Those who receive Christ as their Savior need not fear the wars to come and this great battle between God and Satan, we have a wonderful life awaiting us as we enjoy eternity with our King.

Message Title: Jesus is Knocking

Hello My Friend/Guest,
Many churches boast on teaching the doctrine of the Bible, but they do
not do anything to set an example for the church. As Christian's we not
only represent the church we represent Christ as He is the Church.
Jesus continues to speak to the seven churches of Asia. The Church in
Sardis could boast that there were no false doctrines being taught, but
something serious was going on, they stopped doing anything for God.
Andunto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he
that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy
works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. Be
watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to
die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. Remember
therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent.
If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and
thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. - Revelation 3:1-3.

This is an example of a church or person who teaches the Word of God,
but does not follow what he teaches. If we preach the Word of God we
must practice what we preach. I am a Sunday School teacher of kids 4-8
years of age, I must set an example for them to follow, if I do not do
what I teach them then they will question why we even go to church and
fall away from God before they reach high school. It is vital that we
animate the word of God.
Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone...For as the body
without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. James 2:17,26.

The Church in Philadelphia probably seemed weak and insignificant as
far as the world was concerned, their number was small and they had only
a little strength within the church, but Jesus commended their little
bit of strength. I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word,
and hast not denied my name...Because thou hast kept the word of my
patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall
come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth...Him
that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he
shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and
the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh
down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name - Revelation 3:8,10,12.

All who remain faithful to Jesus no matter what they face, and this
includes times when all we have is the strength to say "Help Me, Jesus"
can find comfort and peace as they patiently await for things to come to
pass. Jesus will come in the blink of an eye and all whom have put
their faith and trust in Him will be saved from all the deceitfulness
and wickedness that Satan is going to place upon the people of the
world.
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset
us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, - Hebrews 12:1.

The church of the Laodiceans prided themselves on their ability to
compromise with the world. The majority of church members probably
congratulated themselves on being moderate and broad-minded, but Jesus
saw nothing commendable about what they were doing. And
unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things
saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the
creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor
hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. - Revelation 3:14-16.

Jesus much rather us not be devoted to Him at all then to try fit Him
into our schedule. If we want things to change in our lives it is time
to take a serious look at how we are living them. If we are in anyway
compromising our relationship with Jesus in order to satisfy the world
things will never change. We can not compromise with the world in order
to fit in or live in peace with those who do, there is going to be
conflicts between believers and non-believers. I commend those whom are
believers and are married to or live with loved ones that are not, it
takes a lot of strength to endure those kind of circumstances. However,
unless things change you nor your family will get very far and you will
never grow. Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?..Wherefor e come out from among them, and be ye separate,
saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
- II Corinthians 6:14,17.
Today, Jesus is still knocking on the doors of those whom have
backslid, He is right there waiting for them to open the door. “Behold,
I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the
door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To
him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I
also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. - Revelation 3:20,21.

Are you looking for Jesus? He is right there, waiting for you, He wants to help you with your burdens. He says, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my
burden is light. - Matthew 11:28-30.

Message Title: Assurance Through Jesus

The
word revelation means the act of revealing or disclosing, disclosure,
the Book of Revelation is God's disclosure of His own nature and His
purpose for all mankind. The Book of Revelation is the twenty-seventh
and final book of the New Testament, the sixty-sixth and final book of
the Bible and contains twenty-two chapters. The author of the book is
the Apostle John and it was written to seven churches in Asia and to all
believers in general. The purpose of the book was to give encouragement
and assurance to persecuted and troubled Christians. It is also a clear
warning to unbelievers of the coming judgment of God on sin and
unbelief. What we are to learn from the book is that God always does
what He promises and has a great promise for all, who have received His
Son. “And
God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no
more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more
pain: for the former things are passed away.� - Revelation 21:4.

One Sunday morning as John was praying and Jesus showed up, literally,
in a vision as clear as the day, Jesus asks him to write letters to seven churches in Asia. “I
was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice,
as of a trumpet, Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last:
and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven
churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto
Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and
unto Laodicea...The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my
right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the
angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou
sawest are the seven churches.- Revelation 1:10-12, 20.
The number seven is used to represent completion,
And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested
on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.- Genesis 2:2.
Therefore, Christ uses seven churches to represent God's completion of His purpose for all mankind.

Thirty years earlier these churches were vibrant healthy churches that had
received letters from Peter and Paul. There were other Churches too, but
Jesus addresses these seven because they were the churches the apostles
traveled to and visited when they were in those areas. He first starts
with the church of Ephesus,Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not
fainted. Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast
left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and
repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly,
and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
- Revelation 2:1-5.

Ephesus
was the influential capital city of Asia Minor (now Turkey) on the
Aegean Sea, the Apostle Paul spent a lot of time there, as well as Peter
and Timothy, the Ephesians were doing well at serving God, they studied
the Bible and taught the right doctrine so well that they could call
out a false prophet, but somehow The Church lost the zeal they had for
Jesus, thus having left its first love. We can as Christians get so busy
doing the work of the Lord that we too lose the zeal for Jesus, the
enthusiasm, liveliness, and desire to serve Him. When we get to that
point we need to take a step back, remind ourselves that we are serving a
great and living God, and He is the one we serve.
Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve
the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye
that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we
ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. - Psalm 100:1-3.

Now, Jesus addressed the church of Smyrna, And
unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the
first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; I know thy works, and
tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy
of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of
Satan. Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the
devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye
shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will
give thee a crown of life. - Revelation 2:8-10. Smyrna
was located north of Ephesus in a powerful trading position on the
Aegean Sea known for its harbors, commerce, and marketplaces. They were
known as the persecuted church that suffered poverty and martyrdom.
Jesus comforts them and assures them that they will be blessed and
rewarded for their faithfulness. Jesus has the same message for every
Christian who sticks it out and stand by Him through their tribulation.
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall
receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that
love him. - James 1:12.

Now, Jesus addresses the church in Pergamos, And
to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he
which hath the sharp sword with two edges;..But I have a few things
against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of
Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of
Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit
fornication. ..Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. - Revelation 2:12,14, 16. Pergamos is
located on the plains and foothills along the Caicus River in Western
Turkey. It was considered a major city in Asia Minor since the 3rd
century BC, and became a Greek and Roman hub for temple worship. They
were known as the worldly church that mixed doctrines of Christ and
Balaam (Numbers 22), now Jesus is warning them to repent before it is
too late. This is a warning to all churches who worship idols, such as
the virgin Mary, and allow immorality within the Church. There is
nothing more powerful than the Word of God, For
the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged
sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of
the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of
the heart. - Hebrews 4:12.

Now, Jesus addresses the church of Thyatira, And
unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the
Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet
are like fine brass; I know thy works, and charity, and service, and
faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the
first. Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou
sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to
teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things
sacrificed unto idols. And I gave her space to repent of her
fornication; and she repented not...And I will kill her children with
death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the
reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to
your works. -Revelation 2:18-21,23. Thyatira
is located in western Asia Minor about 42 miles inland from the Aegean
Sea. The ancient city was known for its textiles and dyeing trade, and
is now known as the Turkish city of Akhisar. They were known as the
false church who allowed a seductive prophetess to come in bring idol
worship and immorality into the Church. There are several churches that
have been started by women, all of these churches face the same death.
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and
brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be
tormented day and night for ever and ever. - Revelation 20:10.

Jesus said, Verily,
verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him
that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into
condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
- John 5:24.
While we as Christians can not be certain which trials are
before us, one thing we can be certain of is that we will not face the
lake of fire, but bypass it all the way up to heaven. Praise God!

Message Title: The True Elect

Truth, there is nothing like it in the world, the word truth is defined as
the true or actual state of a matter, the actual existence. The Bible says, “The
meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way. All
the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his
covenant and his testimonies. ..The secret of the LORD is with them that
fear him; and he will shew them his covenant. - Psalm
25:9,10,14.
To be meek means to be humble, to realize that you just can
not do everything on your own. We all have weaknesses, the strongest man
alive has a weakness, but when he humbles himself before God has the
strength to move mountains. Jesus said,
For
verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be
thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his
heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to
pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. - Mark 11:23.
A covenant is an agreement, a truth between you and God alone, no one
can break that covenant, except you. When you humbly bowed your head and
put your faith in Jesus Christ to save you from a burning hell you made
a covenant with God. God's promise, eternal life and heaven, your
promise is trusting in Him to fulfill His promise. While
many people call themselves Christians, the truth is, only a majority
of them are actually Christians. A Christian is someone who makes a
covenant with God to allow Him to come into their lives, not just save
them from hell, but to make a difference in their lives. “Now
the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that
great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting
covenant, Make you
perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is
wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for
ever and ever. Amen Hebrews 13:20,21.

The Books of II John, III John, and Jude are the twenty-fourth, fifth, and
sixth books of the New Testament and sixty-third, fourth, and fifth
books of the Bible. The Book of II John was an epistle (letter) written
by the Apostle John to the elect lady and her children. The purpose of
this letter was to caution believers to be faithful to sound doctrine
and to warn against false teachers. What we are to learn from the letter
is that we must guard ourselves against false teachers who cause us to
lose the spiritual qualities we have developed and who make us partakers
of their evil. “If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine,
receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
- II John 10,11. In his brief letter the Apostle John reminds
Christians that they are the elect, the selected few that are chosen by
God Himself to represent the church. “The
elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth;
and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth; For the
truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever. Grace
be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord
Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. I rejoiced
greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have
received a commandment from the Father. And now I beseech thee, lady,
not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had
from the beginning, that we love one another.� - II John 1-5.

The elect lady is the Church of Christ, the
Church is always addressed in the feminine gender because she is called
the bride of Christ. Her children are the men, women, and children who
make up the body of the Church. While anyone can get saved, God chooses
specific people to represent Him in the Christ. Why? To love one
another. John is quoting what Jesus said while He was walking on earth
in the flesh. “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.�
- John 13:34. What Jesus means by this is to show brotherly kindness to
all, by doing so it shows the world who true Christians are and that it
is a wonderful thing to know the Lord. Praise God!

The Book of III John was also written by the Apostle John was
addressed to a man named Gaius. It is written to both him and the church
with which he was connected and cautions him against siding with
Diotrephes, who was a turbulent spirit, but recommends Demetrius as a
man of excellent character. The truths of the letter are applicable to
all believers. The purpose of this letter was to commend Gaius and
Demetrius for their Christian testimony and to reprove the unchristian
behavior of Diotrephes. What we are to learn from the book is that our
lives are examples of what others follow, whether it be good or evil. “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.�
- III John 4. Whether we are Christian's or not we set an example for
others, if we are doing things that are immoral and or malicious others
will mimic us and do them also. It is important that we as the elect
children remain moral and set a good example for others to mimic. “Beloved,
follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth
good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.� - III John 11.

The Book of Jude was written by Jude (the brother of James and another
earthly brother of Jesus by Mary and Joseph) and it was written to all
Christians, although the specific audience at the time were members of
churches in Palestine and/or Asia. The purpose of the letter was to warn
against false teachers and what we are to learn from the letter is that
we must always be alert for false teachers who divert believers from
the truth of God's Word. “Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.�
- Jude 21. Jude expresses the importance of holding on to the truths of
God's Word and being careful not to let people get around them who will
corrupt their way of thinking. Jude addresses the issue of bringing
false doctrine into the Church. “For
there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old
ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God
into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus
Christ.� - Jude 4.

Every time we start a new book I go to last years message that I wrote
to get the book info from it, I happened to read through a message I
wrote one day and saw something I quoted from another site I used when
ever I got stuck trying to explain a verse. It was something that was
completely opposite of what God teaches in His Word. That is when I
discovered that that site was corrupting people, he knew just enough to
make you think he knew what he was talking about, I hate to think of the
numerous amount of people who believe that garbage, but pray they
figure it out as I did. The only way I was able to even figure out that
he was destroying God's Word was by continuing to read it for myself.
God reveals everything a little at a time so we learn the truth. The
only way to know the truth is to know Christ,
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
- John 14:6.

Details of Today's Chapters:
God's inheritance, the Spirit of Christ, a pure heart,
newborn babes, a chosen generation, and Christ, our example to follow.
The Book of I Peter is the twenty-first book of the New Testament, the
sixtieth book of the Bible, and contains five chapters. The author of
this epistle (letter) is Peter and it was written to the exiles who were
being persecuted for their Christian faith. The purpose of the letter
was to warn them of the danger of persecution from those outside of the
Church and how to handle those situations. What we are to learn from the
book is that our response to persecution need to be based on Scriptural
principles not emotional. Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But
rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that,
when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding
joy. - I Peter 4:12,13.
A candy cane is a piece of hard candy in the shape of a staff with red stripes on it. Did you ever wonder why? Well, the candy cane is actually a symbol of Christ. The hard stick of candy represents the Solid Rock of Christ on which the church and believer stands upon. The
white color represents purity of Christ, sinless and born of a virgin,
and how He cleanses us when we receive Him as our Savior. The large red
stripe represents the blood of Christ that was shed to save us. The
three small red stripes stand for stripes (lashings) Jesus received to
heal us. The shape has two meanings: a staff which represents our "Good
Shepherd" who watches over His sheep and a "J" which stands for the name
Jesus. Amazing huh? Now, every time you see a red and white candy cane
you can rejoice knowing that you are a child of the living God because
of the sacrifice that Jesus made for you. And
it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them,
Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the
living God.- Romans 9:26.

If you accepted Christ into your life you are a child of the living
God and since you are a child of the living God you will receive a part
of His inheritance.Blessed
be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his
abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the
resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To
an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away,
reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through
faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. I Peter 1:3-5.

Being a child of the living God does not exempt you from facing some
affliction and suffering, in fact, some of the circumstances you face
will be because you are a child of the living God. However, God does
make it easier to get through the circumstances when you put your trust
in Him. Why do we have to suffer? We should not look at suffering to be a
bad thing, but a good thing. Suffering brings us closer to God,
strengthens us, teaches us, helps us help others, and above all, gets
others saved. That
the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that
perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and
honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen,
ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice
with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith,
even the salvation of your souls - I Peter 1:7-9.

I will tell you that there are times when I see someone getting
blessed with things that is not living for God and I get envious. I
wonder why they are being blessed and I am struggling so much, I wonder
why I have been asking and asking God for something and never seem to
get a taste of it. I do not question God and say why me, but I do have a
habit of putting myself down and thinking that I do not deserve the
things I am asking and that is why I have not gotten them. Then
something hits me, that is not my thinking, that is Satan and his
attempt to make me feel as though I am worthless to God. I have to
remind myself just how blessed I am and how far I have come since I
chose to live my life for God and just how much I mean to Him. For
I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor
principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor
height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us
from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 8:38,39.

It may look as though God is blessing the unrighteous, but the truth
is that it is Satan trying to keep them away from God and God allows it
for the sole purpose of getting them to put their trust in Him, not the
worldly things, that is once they lose everything. In order to find
Christ we must first lose everything else and once we lose everything we
will find that it was Christ that we needed all along. To know Christ
is to know suffering and He chose you to use that suffering to reach
others. “But
ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a
peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath
called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;..For even hereunto
were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an
example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was
guile found in his mouth: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again;
when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that
judgeth righteously: Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on
the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness:
by whose stripes ye were healed. For ye were as sheep going astray; but
are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls. - I Peter 2:9, 21-25.

Christ suffered more than anyone on earth ever will, He bared the
stripes, the humiliation, the mocking, the pain, He shed His blood on a
cross and died so we can live. He found you in the deepest whole that
you were in, pulled you out, cleaned you up, and made you a part of His
family. “He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. - Revelation 21:7. Praise God!

King James Bible Study Devotional
Message Title: LET THERE BE LIFE!

The
Book of I John is the twenty-third book of the New Testament,
sixty-second book of the Bible, and contains five chapters. The author
of this epistle (letter) is John (the same John who wrote the Gospel of
John as well as Revelation) and it was written to Christians who were
falling into satanic deception which was breaking their fellowship with
God and other believers. The purpose of this letter was to remind
believers how they might know they have eternal life and that true
fellowship with Christ is the evidence of a joyful life . What we are to
learn from the letter is that the born again believer does not sin
habitually, though he may not be perfect he does not continually live in
sin, which is evident in true fellowship with Christ and maintained by
the principle of confession of sin. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. - I John 1:9.

It is amazing to think that God's voice is so powerful that He say
LET THERE BE LIGHT! and it instantly appear. How sad it must be for
people who can not grasp the fact that the world did not just form from
some speck. The Bible says, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
- John 1:1-3.
There is not one thing on this earth that has not been
made from something that God has made, everything from rubber to plastic
to metal to gasoline is made from things that God has made. God is life
and the only way we will truly enjoy life is to have His life in us.
Until we know Christ all we do is live by sight, we long for the things
that the world thinks we can not live without. Can I tell you that the
world has nothing to offer, but corruption, lies, deception, and
immorality, which destroys a life, not better it.

If we truly want an enjoyable life, we need to fellowship with Christ.
The Apostle John reassures Christian's that when they accepted Christ
as their Savior they have fellowship with Christ, who is the light. That
which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen
with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of
the Word of life;..That which we have seen and heard declare we unto
you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship
is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ...This then is the
message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is
light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have
fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship
one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us
from all sin. - I John 1:1,35-7.

Just as powerful as that voice can say LET THERE BE LIGHT! and it
instantly appear the instant we say to Jesus, I believe I am a sinner, I
believe in You and the Gospel (His death, burial, and resurrection) , I
ask You to save me, and I am depending on You for my salvation God
instantly says, LET THERE BE LIFE!
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that
believeth... That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead,
thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto
righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. - Romans 10:4,9,10.

The majority of people who reject Christ are the ones who want to live
that corruptible and immoral life without feeling guilty about it. I
had a man tell me once, I know Jesus, but I have a lot of partying to do
before I give it all up for Him. See, the mentality is this, If I have
Christ in my life I will not enjoy my life. The truth is there is no
joy in worldly living. Oh, one might think they are having fun for a
little while, but get rid of the beer, the pot, the lovers, the
superficial friends, and what is left? A sad, wasted life, with nothing
to show for it.
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.
If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For
all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the
eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the
will of God abideth for ever. Little children, it is the last time: and
as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many
antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out
from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would
no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be
made manifest that they were not all of us. But ye have an unction from
the Holy One, and ye know all things. - I John 2:15-20.

The word unction means an act of anointing,
something soothing or comforting, the shedding of a divine or spiritual
influence upon a person. Those who truly walk in the light receive an
anointing from God, that anointing enables us to eliminate the
corruptible things and replace them with godly things, which are evident
to the eye.
But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need
not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of
all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you,
ye shall abide in him.- I John 2:27.
Once in a while I will run into someone I know that use
to know me before I walked with Christ and the first question they ask
is, What happened to you? My response, Christ happened to me. Christ
changes us for the better and I am proof of that.
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By
whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and
rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in
tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And
patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed;
because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost
which is given unto us. - Romans 5:1-5.

Book of II Peter is the twenty-second book of the New Testament, the
sixty-first book of the Bible, and contains three chapters. The author
of this epistle (letter) is Peter and it was written to the Christian
exiles. The purpose of the letter was to warn them of the dangers from
within the church, their apostasy and false teaching. What we are to
learn from the book too is that the greatest dangers from within the
church are apostasy and false teaching. But
there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be
false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies,
even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift
destruction. - II Peter 2:1
The word apostasy or heresy is defined as total rejection of
Christianity by a person who, having at one time professed the Christian
faith. There is only one thing that causes apostasy and that is living
in the flesh. The Bible says, Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery,
fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred,
variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings,
murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you
before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such
things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. - Galatians 5:19-21.

As Christian's we are prone to think that all Christian's have the
same beliefs, sadly we do not. Now, I am not talking about different
culture, I am talking about their view on Jesus Christ and who He truly
is. Good people are being deceived all over the world by men and their
false teaching, claiming that they got their instructions from God. In
this letter, the Apostle Peter addresses this situation and the people
who have been deceiving them. First, Peter encourages those who have
escaped the lies and now know the truth,
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto
life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to
glory and virtue: Wherebyare given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these
ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the
corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving
all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to
knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience
godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly
kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make
you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of
our Lord Jesus Christ. - II Peter 1:3-8.
God has made full provision for every Christian to live a victorious
Christian life. The Holy Spirit enables us to endure temptation,
suffering, failure, sin, and even success or pride as we stay in the
Bible and learn more through obedience to His Word. He
will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears
from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away
from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it. - Isaiah 25:8.
However, when people take advantage of God's good graces and want to
twist His rules and Word to suit their flesh that is when He gets angry.
Peter has a warning to the ones who have been teaching false doctrine in His name.
For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell,
and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto
judgment; And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of
righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; And
turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with
an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live
ungodly;..The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations,
and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
- II Peter 2:4-6,9.
If God will not spare the angles that have sinned
and will cast them into hell He certainly will not hesitate to cast
false prophets and teachers down there with them. And
the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and
brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be
tormented day and night for ever and ever. - Revelation 20:10.

These false prophets and teachers within the church somehow had the
people questioning whether or not Christ was even coming. However, Peter
assures them that there are many more to be saved yet before He
returns.
But,beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the
Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The
Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness;
but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but
that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come
as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a
great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth
also and the works that are therein shall be burned up...Nevertheless
we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth,
wherein dwelleth righteousness. - II Peter 3:8-10,13.
God is a patient God, so patient that He is willing to wait years for a
person to come around and repent.
The word longsuffering means long and patient endurance of injury, trouble, or provocation,
that is why He sees a thousand years as one, it is our injury, trouble,
or provoking that He waits patiently for. He does not want to cast
anyone into hell, but He will if they continue to reject Him and deceive
others. Therefore, we are to walk in the spirit, not the flesh,
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness,
temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's
have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in
the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of
vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another. - Galatians 5:22-26.

Message Title: Seasoned To Perfection

The word season is defined as a time
to prepare, mature, or discipline. Everything has a season, for
instance, we have four seasons, spring, summer, fall, and winter. Every
season is important because it allows certain vegetation to grow so that
we as humans or animals are able to survive through the different types
of weather. I live in Florida and it has actually been pretty cold here
for the past couple of weeks, even some freezing temps at night. I
laugh when I see everyone covering up their plants in fear that they
will be destroyed. Can I tell you that God knows what He is doing. While
some of those plants may wither and look dead, come spring new life
grows from them and they become even stronger and bigger as long as
someone takes the time to remove the dead leaves so they are able to
grow, the same is true for us as well. The Bible says,
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. - Psalm 1:1-3.

To meditate means to dwell in God's Word day and night, this does not
mean that you have to sit and read the Bible 24/7, but it does mean that you keep God's Word with you throughout the day and night. God's Word is the seasoning we need, it prepares us, matures us, and perfects us to live in His will, the result prosperity. Peter encourages Christians, Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: Not
rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise
blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a
blessing. For he that will love life, and see good days, let him
refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let
him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto
their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
I Peter 3:8-12.
God blesses us the more we live in His will, little by little we are
being seasoned to His perfection. God sees and knows all that we do, He sees beyond the surface into the heart, He knows who are truly His and who are just going through the motions in hopes to be saved from hell.
The motions do not save us, believing in and asking Christ to save us is
what saves us. Forasmuch
then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves
likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath
ceased from sin; That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries: Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you: Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.I Peter 4:1-5.
Christ suffered the cross, the humiliation, the pain, the lashings,
the mocking, and death for all. You can be sure that if a person simply
got saved in vain God will cause that person to suffer here on earth
before He takes them to heaven. No one is perfect, we unknowingly sin
every day, but when we humble ourselves before God He will bless us for our effort. His grace is sufficient enough to season us to perfection. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant;
because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about,
seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.- I Peter 5:6-10.
All of life has seasons, the Bible says,
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:..A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;..A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a
time to cast away;..A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war,
and a time of peace.
- Ecclesiastes 3:1,4,6,8.
Everything that we go through in life, from
the joys to the sorrows to the pains to the healings to the peace we
receive after is used to season us to His perfection. The more we endure through our faith in Him the more we are prepared to handle the next season, the more we are prepared the more blessed we will prosper simply by living in His will.
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if
we faint not...From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my
body the marks of the Lord Jesus. - Galatians 6:9,17. Praise God!

James 4:8 (NLT)

TODAY'S THOUGHT
A person shared that there was a sign on the expressway that said, "Do
you feel far away from God?" He was thinking about the question when the
next billboard read, "Who moved?" Isn't that usually the case? When we
feel far from God, it is because we have turned our back on Him. James
knew that we have this propensity so he wrote, "Come close to God, and
God will come close to you." But the question is, how do we come close
to God? The first thing we need to do is turn back in the right
direction. The Prophet Isaiah wrote, "It's your sins that have cut you
off from God. Because of your sins, he has turned away and will not
listen anymore." Confessing to God and repenting from any sin, will
allow us to have a clear conscience and reopen the door of fellowship
Him. Then we can turn to God with our heart and mind.
Both our emotions and thoughts have so much to do with our relationship
with Him. We come to Him in quietness, reflection, meditation and
prayer. We open our emotions and thoughts to Him and allow His Holy Spirit
to commune with us, guiding, convicting, teaching and directing our
life. God desires to have a relationship with us. He hasn't moved. Will
you come to Him today?

TODAY'S PRAYER
Father, I must confess that there are so many times I feel so distant
from You. I admit my own wandering. Forgive me for the sin that has
separated us and help me to stay in close fellowship with you. I give
you my heart and my mind. Lead me by Your Holy Spirit, I pray.

TODAY'S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
-I have fellowship with God
Stop and allow God to speak to you about anything that would be in the
way of fellowship with Him. As He brings anything to mind, confess it
and ask for forgiveness. Allow God to forgive and cleanse you. As you
do, picture yourself moving toward God and He being there, waiting and
very happy to be with you. Take a deep breathe and then say, "I have
fellowship with God."

Message Title: Examples Of The Future
We may not realize it, but the things we do today have a huge impact
on the things that will become of tomorrow. Everything we do, even for
our own selfish reasons, effects everyone else around us and believe it
or not determines the future of many generations. Think about it, every
person born is subject to death and hell because of one mans sin. Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: - Romans 5:12. As Christians, we have the power to save and change lives for future generations, Jesus said, Verily,verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. - John 14:12.
It is only by faith that we believe in Jesus Christ, the word faith means
putting your confidence or trust in someone or thing, believing without
proof. When we accept Christ as our Savior we are putting our confidence and trust in Him to save us. The Bible says, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For
by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand
that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which areseen were not made of things which do appear. - Hebrews 11:1-3.
If we can learn anything about faith it is through the men and women
God used thousands of years before Christ came to earth. They did not
have all of the Bible that we have today, in fact, it was Moses that God
used to write down the words to the Book of Genesis, which was given to him hundreds to thousands of years after all the events of that time
took place, so, everyone from Adam to Moses did not have God's written word to guide them, they could only walk with God by faith. But
without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God
must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that
diligently seek him...These all died in faith, not having received the
promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. - Hebrews 11:6,13.
The history of the people of God confirms that some endured some
pretty hostile circumstances and suffering, yet through it all remained
faithful and fulfilled His will. The Book of Hebrews gives us a review
of some of the men and women of God that stood by Him and overcame their situation, which could only come by faith alone. Wherefore
seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be
wearied and faint in your minds. - Hebrews 12:1-3.
The key to living by faith and seeing God's blessings during and well
after we are in the Kingdom of God looking down on our ancestors is
patience. Patience is not easy, in fact, the word patience means the quality of being patient (tolerant), as the bearing of provocation (challenge), annoyance, misfortune, or pain, without complaint, loss of temper, irritation, or the like. Patience often comes by affliction, it is faith that helps us endure and see all afflictions come to pass. Now
no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous:
nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness
unto them which are exercised thereby...Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: - Hebrews 12:11,28.
Godly fear is simply treating God with respect, living by faith that
He is able to do what He promises. God has never gone back on His
promises and He never will. While we may not understand why God does some of the things He does, everything He does is for our own good and benefits not only us, but future generations as well. Let
your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor
forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I
will not fear what man shall do unto me...Jesus Christ the same
yesterday, and to day, and for ever...Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever.
Amen. -Hebrews 13:5,6,8,20, 21.
The runners who win the race of life are the ones who by faith look to
Jesus, who not only strengthens our faith, but helps us find joy as we
endure the pain. Jesus endured much more than any person ever had to endure here on earth, yet He proved to that pain brings much joy and happiness. At times, I get migraines, some so severe that they cause nausea, vomiting, and everything else in between. Although it feels likea lifetime it eventually comes to pass and I am better than ever and always see some kind of blessing from God. We can all overcome pain and suffering and even find joy through our suffering by keeping our sight on Jesus and being the example that future generations will follow. Letno man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. - I Timothy 4:12.

GOOD NEWS
A lot of people who grow up in Christian homes are taught that if you
want to go to heaven you have to be really good or follow these rules.
So, when a person brought up this way is told that a murder, a con, an
abuser, or even a terrorist can go to heaven it is hard to grasp that
concept. It's even harder when a person who tries their best to live the
right way is told that they are facing eternity in hell. Jesus said, So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.
- Matthew 20:16. What Jesus means by this is that many will get saved
early in life, perhaps as a child or later on as an adult, but many are
saved when they are about to die. Billions of people will have the
knowledge of Christ, but only a few of them will be saved because they
never acknowledged Christ.

The culprit, the flesh, the Bible says, For
I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for
to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find
not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would
not, that I do. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do
it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
- Romans 7:18-20. The truth is this, no matter how good we try to be we
all sin (wrong doing), whether intentionally or unintentionally, every
person here on earth does something that constitutes as sin. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God
- Romans 3:23. The glory of God means the splendor and bliss of heaven.
Did you ever come close to reaching a goal, but something got in the
way that prevented you from reaching that goal? That is what God is
talking about, you got close, but something is preventing you from
getting to heaven, that something is sin. If you stomped your feet and
pitched a fit as a child, that constitutes as sin.

Since it is the flesh that commits sin and keeps people from heaven
God needed a way for a soul to be saved. First, He came up with the Law
or covenant that was given to Moses for His people to follow, the blood
sacrifices of spotless animals would be offered up to God. A priest
would act as a mediator, a middle man to God, he would receive the
offering and give it to God for that person to be saved temporarily.
Even before a priest was able to accept a sacrifice from anyone else he
had to go through intensive cleansing to be cleansed himself first since
he himself was not exempt from committing sin. God realized that even
with the Law people just could not do enough to keep themselves from
facing an eternity in hell. That is when He decided to make a way for
the soul to be saved permanently without the need of all those
sacrifices and use a heavenly priest who would act as the mediator. “Now
of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an
high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty
in the heavens;..For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest,
seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the
law:..But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much
also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon
better promises. For if that first covenant had been faultless, then
should no place have been sought for the second. - Hebrews 8:1,4,6,7.

Jesus not only is our mediator He is our Redeemer, while the Law was a
shadow of good things to come, it was only temporary, a better, more
obtainable covenant was in the works. A covenant that redeemed a person
once and for all, But
Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater
and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of
this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own
blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal
redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes
of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of
the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the
eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your
conscience from dead works to serve the living God? - Hebrews 9:11-14.

One sacrifice was made once and for all to redeem all who believe in
Jesus Christ. Dead works are those things that we try to do to be good,
being good or bad does not get us to heaven. All who believe in and
accept that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, which made Him qualified
to be the spotless sacrifice, died, was buried, and three days
resurrected (brought back to life) are saved and able to go to heaven.
All are saved the same way, it's simple, admit that you are a sinner and
ask Jesus to save you. No matter who you are you can be saved from
hell. Know
ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be
not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor
effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor
covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit
the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye
are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and
by the Spirit of our God. - I Corinthians 6:9-11.

Asking Christ to save us saves our soul, not the flesh, make no
mistake, if you are saved and you live in sin your flesh will suffer.
God does not appreciate it when a person takes His gift for granted or
asks to be saved in vain, For
we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will
recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. But call
to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye
endured a great fight of afflictions; ..Cast not away therefore your
confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of
patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the
promise. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and
will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw
back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who
draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the
soul.
- Hebrews 10:30-32,35- 39. Without Jesus a soul is not saved and is
destined for an eternity in hell, regardless of any good or bad, And
death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second
death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast
into the lake of fire.
-Revelation 20:14,15. The second death is the death of the soul, anyone
who has not asked Jesus to save them will get cast into the lake of
fire.

While we may never understand some things in life, the amazing thing
about eternal life with Christ is that one day every bad thing that we
have witnessed or done ourselves, every tear, and every bit of suffering
will vanish and be forgotten forever. and
God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe
away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death,
neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for
the former things are passed away. - Revelation 21:3,4. Praise God!

A testament is defined as a
will or declaration setting out the distribution of personal property, a
proof or tribute, and a covenant or an agreement instituted between God
and man. The Bible is divided up into two testaments, the old and new.
The Old Testament declares that the Jews are God's personal property and
it contains proof through countless men and women who made an agreement
with God to live their lives with Him in it. The New Testament declares
that whether Jew or Gentile anyone who believes in the Son of God,
Jesus Christ is His personal property and it also contains proof to the
countless men and women who made an agreement to live their lives with
God in it. The difference between the Old and New Testament is that the
we are no longer bound to keep the law of Moses for our salvation, we
are simply saved by looking to Jesus by God's grace, same Jesus, better
covenant. “For
the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all
men,..Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the
great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;” - Titus 2:11,13.

Even in the Old Testament salvation was not only for the Jews, all
throughout the books you will learn of people, strangers, and towns, who
looked to the coming of Jesus and made a covenant with Him to live
their lives by that faith. Then, when a person wanted to be redeemed
they had to visit the high priest, he offered the sacrifice that was
given by the sinner to God for him for the atonement of his sins. Today,
the only person we need to go to is Jesus Christ, who is our only and
great High Priest. “And no man
taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was
Aaron. So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest;
but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.
As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the
order of Melchisedec. Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered
up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that
was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he
suffered; And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal
salvation unto all them that obey him;” - Hebrews 5:4-9.

In the days of His flesh, Christ made himself subject to what man
faced, He hungered, He was a tempted, He suffered persecution, He was
chastised, and He died. He did all these things, yet remained perfect,
to be an example for us to follow. God will not force anyone to come to
Him, but every one is welcome to come to God, by faith we trust in the
High Priest, who is the Son of God, to atone for our sins. “For
God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye
have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints,
and do minister. And
we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full
assurance of hope unto the end: That ye be not slothful, but followers
of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. For when
God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he
sware by himself, Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and
multiplying I will multiply thee...Which hope we have as an anchor of
the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within
the veil; Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an
high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.” - Hebrews 6:10-14,19,20.

Incidentally, these same words were spoken by David, who was the apple of God's eye, “The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. The
LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the
midst of thine enemies. Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy
power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou
hast the dew of thy youth. The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent,
Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.” - Psalm 110:1-4.

Melchizedek was the king of Salem, who was also a priest, he blessed
Abraham for being blessed by God to be the father of multitudes. “And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God. And
he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God,
possessor of heaven and earth: And blessed be the most high God, which
hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of
all.” - Genesis 14:18-20. By faith Abraham trusted in God and did
the work He called him to do. Of course, Abraham did not always wait
for God and did error from time to time, but that did not stop God from
using him for the purpose He brought him here for. Likewise, by faith we
look to Him for our salvation and by faith we do the work He called us
to do, not to keep our salvation, but to show Him how much we thank and
love Him for His labor of love.

When God saw that the law was not keeping His property faithful to
their commitment He decided that it was time to make it easier for
people fulfill their commitment. Of course, this was decided the second
Eve took a bite of the forbidden fruit, but He decided to send His Son
Jesus to make it easier to remain faithful to God. The law provided the
hope of a better testament, which was replaced by looking unto Jesus. “For
the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did;
by the which we draw nigh unto God. And inasmuch as not without an oath
he was made priest: (For those priests were made without an oath; but
this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not
repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec: ) By
so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.” - Hebrews 7:19-22.

Now, we follow a new, better testament, “Looking
unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that
was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set
down at the right hand of the throne of God.” -Hebrews 12:2. By
faith you are saved, the works you do after show God how much you
appreciate and love Him for giving His only begotten Son, who endured
the cross that you deserve. Praise God!

Message Title: A Little Lower
Hello My Friend/Guest,
The
Book of Hebrews is the nineteenth book of the New Testament, the
fifty-eighth book of the Bible, and contains thirteen chapters. The
author of this epistle (letter) was Paul and it was written to the
Hebrew (Jewish) believers. The purpose of the letter was to present
Jesus Christ as superior over all. What we are to learn from it is that
Jesus is the mediator of a better covenant established on better
promises. But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. - Hebrews 8:6,7.
We hear a lot about angels throughout the Old and New Testaments, it was angels who delivered Lot out of Sodom. It was angels who began
ministering to Jesus following His 40 day fast in the wilderness, it was
an angel who delivered Peter from prison. We can pretty much see that
angels have a special place with God and are called to assist Him in
many ways. We too can find comfort in angels as they minister to all who are saved. However, angels can not compare to Jesus Christ and the love, guidance, and power that He has above all things. "God,
who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the
fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his
Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high: Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him...Are they
not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall
be heirs of salvation?" - Hebrews 1:3-6,14.
There was a time before Christ that we were not even allowed to speak
to God one on one. If a person wanted to communicate with God he had to go to the Temple, stand before the high priest, confess all his sins,
bring an unblemished animal to sacrifice, and tell him your prayer and
they would speak to God for you. However, today we are blessed that we no longer have to do all these things because all who accept Christ as their Savior are able to speak directly to Him. Jesus said,
Verily,
verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do
shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do - John 14:12-14.
We, who are heirs of Salvation through faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ
are surrounded by angels that protect us. Even when it seems that Satan has devastated our lives, God, who created and rules the universe, in His own way causes the works of Satan and the wrath of men to further His ultimate will for each one of us. "Thou
madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with
glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands: Thou
hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all
in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But
now we see not yet all things put under him. But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of
their salvation perfect through sufferings." - Hebrews 2:7-10.
Although Jesus was superior to the angels He had a great love for us
and willingly allowed Himself to be a little lower than the angels in
order to suffer death so that we can be saved. Christ died for everyone,
for the Jew and Gentile, and even the Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, and
Evolutionists. Any person regardless of how they were brought up can be perfected through Christ's sufferings on the cross. “And
this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this
life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not
the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that
believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have
eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
- I John 5:11-13.
Consider the honors given to Moses who delivered Israel from Egypt.
Through him the whole Levitical order, the Tabernacle, and the formal
worship system were instituted, but Christ delivers all who receive Him.
"Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house. For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house. For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God. And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; But Christ as a son over his own house;
whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of
the hope firm unto the end." - Hebrews 3:1-6.
Today, we no longer have to go to a Temple to seek God, all who are saved become His Temple.
Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it,
because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's
work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built
thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned,he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God
dwelleth in you?...Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are
your's;..And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's. - I Corinthians 3:13-16,21,23. Praise God!

Message Title: A Crown of Righteousness
I was watching the news the other day, this boy, or the parents
rather, are suing his school for $600,000 because a principle talked to
him about God. I do not know if he won, but the principle got fired
anyway because he would not apologize to the boy for speaking to him
about God. As crazy as that sounds people all over the world are being
persecuted for remaining faithful to God without shame. The Bible says, “Yet
if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him
glorify God on this behalf. For the time is come that judgment must
begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the
end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?� - I Peter 4:16,17.
The Book of II Timothy is the sixteenth book of the New Testament, the
fifty-fifth book of the Bible, and contains four chapters. The author of
this epistle (letter) is Paul and it was written to Timothy. This was
the second letter written to Timothy, which was written from prison
fearing he would soon be executed for holding on to his faith. The
purpose of the letter was to challenge Timothy to assume responsibility
for the ministry which the apostle was handing over to him while facing
persecution. What we are to learn from the book is that each person who
receives Christ will suffer affliction, but He gives us the power to
endure and be a witness to others. Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,- II Timothy 1:8,9.
The word work means exertion or effort directed to produce or accomplish something.
No amount of exertion or effort can get us to accomplish heaven. There
is only one way to heaven and that is by believing in Jesus Christ and
asking Him to save you from the death sentence that all are given for
sin. It is the gift of God through grace, therefore it can not be
obtained by works, only by faith.
Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For
all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified
freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:- Romans 3:22-24.
Being saved does not exempt us from being persecuted, in fact, those
who stand by their faith in Jesus Christ will face even more
persecution. Why? Jesus said, “And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.- Mark 13:13.
Instead of feeling defeated, rejoice knowing that your persecution is not in vain, you have the victory because you are going
to heaven, you are going to walk the streets of gold and swim in the
crystal river. Paul encourages Timothy not to give up,
Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he
may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. And if a man also
strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.
Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things. -II Timothy 2:3-7.
God knows what we are going through, He allows it to keep us faithful.
You know, when I decided that it was time to give my life over to God I
faced all sorts of persecution, but the more I suffered the more I
thanked God for getting me away from the people who caused so much
trouble in my life in the first place. There is not a day that goes by
that I do not thank God for taking me out of the mess I was in. While we
may not understand why we are going through the things we go through at the time, God will help us understand when the time is right. Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. - James 1:12.
A crown is defined as the highest or most perfect state of anything
and to bring to a successful or triumphant conclusion. God promises a
crown to those who stand by Him, the more we do, the more blessed we become. Paul encourages Timothy and all of us that the best way to
overcome persecution is by telling the Gospel.
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine...But watch thou in all things,
endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy
ministry. For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. -II Timothy 4:2,5-8.
The word righteousness is defined as honor, respect, and virtue. The more we preach the Gospel the more righteous we become. Think about it. If you were constantly telling people about Jesus do you think you would be doing half the things you were doing? I do not think so. Now, imagine how blessed you would be if you told someone you have difficulties with about Jesus? I know the last person you would want to see in heaven is the one that gives you the most problems, but when you are in heaven you will not even remember any of it. God will wipe all the tears away,
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no
more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more
pain: for the former things are passed away. - Revelation 21:4. Praise God!

Message Title: A Genuine Christian Church
A Christian church is defined as a body of likeminded people publicly worshiping God. Do you know why there are so many different denominations of churches? Rebellion. One disgruntled person, living some sort of sinful life, questions what is being taught then tells it to another and so forth until a group of people with like minded thoughts form a church of their own so they can live in sin without feeling guilty about it.
Think I am kidding? The Bible says,
For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old
ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ...These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage. -Jude 1:4,16.
A genuine Christian church is grounded on the life, death, burial, and
resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ, whom is the only begotten Son of God, born of a virgin. It bases it's doctrine and teachings on the
Bible and follows the New Testament as the characteristics of life,
knowing that Christ is the head of the church. even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body - Ephesians 5:23.

The Book of I Timothy is the fifteenth book of the New Testament, the
fifth-fourth book of the Bible and contains six chapters. The author of
this epistle (letter) is Paul and it was written to Timothy, his son in
faith. The purpose of the letter was to address some of the problems and needs which existed in the church at Ephesus, which he was pastoring.
What we are to learn from the book is that not every church is a genuine church of Christ and we should live our lives as an example of the ministry to which we have been called.
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. -
I Timothy 4:12.
Timothy was a young pastor, having been left the difficult task of pastoring the church at Ephesus.
Paul wrote to instruct him in the choice of proper officers in the church,
as well as in the exercise of a regular ministry. He also wanted to
caution him against the influence of false teachers, who by subtle
distinctions and endless disputes, corrupted the purity and simplicity
of the Gospel. Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope; Unto
Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord. As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine, Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which
is in faith: so do. - I Timothy 1:1-4.
It is important that a church teach the correct doctrine, now churches
are like clothes, one might not fit everyone, but it is important that
you be in one that is founded on the doctrine of Christ. If your church
is not preaching from the doctrine of the virgin birth, death, burial,
resurrection, and eternal life through Christ alone than you are not
being taught the truth. Why is it important? It can literally save your
life.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that
the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not
condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. - John 3:16-18.

Paul explains to Timothy the duties that men and women have in the church, Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time...In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. - I Timothy 2:4-6,9-12.
First of all, they all must be saved and study God's Word diligently in
order to know the truth , a person can not teach something they do not
learn and know themselves. One thing a lot of people will disagree on is
the fact that a woman in not to be the head of a church. Women are to
be modest and silent in the church, giving up authority to the men, who
are to be elders, bishops (preachers), or deacons. This does not mean
that a woman is not allowed to preach or teach women in a ministry of
the church, children, or minister (assist) to those who God put on their
heart, it means they are not to be the head of a church or argue with a
man of God.
Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their
husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
- I Corinthians 14:34,35.
Why do women have to be silent? This goes all
the way back to the Book of Genesis when Eve was deceived by the
serpent and caused Adam to sin.
For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety. - I Timothy 2:13-15.
Paul explained what I just mentioned earlier about rebellion, Now
the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall
depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of
devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with
a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats,
which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it is
sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
- I Timothy 5:1-5.
The most important key to knowing the truth and whether or not you are being taught it is from the Word of God itself.
God gave us His Word so we can know Him, His mysteries, and how to live the way He intended for us to live.
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art
also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses - I Timothy 6:12.

Bible Study: A New Heaven & Earth

A New Heaven & Earth
Today we are reading about the new heaven and the new earth; the
heavenly Jerusalem; and Christ's coming. Today's message focuses on the
importance of realizing that nothing we have on this earth will compare
to what we will enjoy living in the new heaven and the new earth.
God did not leave us with any uncertainty as to what lies beyond the
grave. All true followers of Christ will enjoy living in a new heaven
and a new earth. "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first
heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of
heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a
great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with
men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God
himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away
all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither
sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former
things are passed away." (Revelation 21:1-4). Our war against sin will
soon come to end and all our trials and tribulations will be no more.
Can you inagine? No more crying, no physical distress, and no suffering;
and no condemnation will press on our consciences.
Perhaps one of the most wonderful things to enjoy is that we will not
have Satan to control us any longer. Praise God! "And the nations of
them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the
earth do bring their glory and honour into it. And the gates of it
shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. And
they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. And there
shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither
whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are
written in the Lamb's book of life." (21:24-27). We close this year and
glorious revelation of Jesus Christ, having completed the reading of the
entire God-given Guide to Life. After prayerfully reading it, we will
never be the same and one of these days, sooner than we think, we will
turn the last page in the book of our own journey through life to
delight at seeing our names recorded in the Lamb's Book of Life.
The final word is God's Word. The more we continue to read and reread
it, the more He will reveal to us. Prayerfully commit to start again
reading God's Word. The blessing will be yours! A big congratulations
goes out to you for your determination to read the Bible through this
year, each year God will reveal to you even more of His wonderful plan
for you.
Today's Prayer:
Dear God,
As we live by faith and not by sight we see much of what the world does
not see because we see it through eyes of faith. By faith we see a
risen Savior who died for us and who is now interceding on our behalf.
By faith we see the coronation day when all the saints will be gathered
in the clouds to meet Jesus in the air. By faith we believe that life's
trials will be worth it all when we are ushered into the pearly gates
and gather with saints of all the ages to praise our glorious Savior
around the throne. It is by faith that we come to Jesus and it is by
faith that we will stay the course. For it is not the one who runs the
swiftest nor the one who runs for a day, but the one who endures to the
end that will be saved. The struggles of this life diminish when we walk
by faith and not by sight. Lord, navigate our steps as we journey here
below. In Jesus' name........ Amen.

Message Title: Operation Salvation


The Book of Colossians is the twelfth book of the New Testament, the
fifty-first book of the Bible and contains four chapters. The author of
this epistle (letter) is Paul and it was written to the believers in the
church of Colosse who were to share the letter with believers at
Laodecea. The purpose of the letter was to address doctrinal issues
within the church. What we are to learn from the book is that everything
is about Christ, He is all things and is in all believers. “And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. - Colossians 1:17.
Paul wrote this letter because it came to his attention that there was
some false doctrine going among the church and it was causing some
strife.
To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace
be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus
Christ...For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease
to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the
knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye
might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in
every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
- Colossians 1:2,9,10.
When it comes to knowing what God wants from us, we can not have bits and pieces of the Bible, we need all of it. Of course, we are not going to know everything by reading it one time, but little by little we
increase our knowledge of God as we read the Scriptures. It does
absolutely no good for us to only have bits and pieces of information of
anything if we want a good outcome. Think about it, if you were baking
cookies and made them without sugar and butter they would not come out very well. We need all the ingredients for them to come out exactly the way they are supposed to be. The same is true for the Bible, “All
scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for
doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good
works.-II Timothy 3:16,17.
So, what does God want from us?
As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been
taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil
you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men,
after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him
dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in
him, which is the head of all principality and power:
- Colossians 2:6-10.
God wants us to walk with Christ in everything we do. When we walk
with Christ He fills the void that is missing in our lives. When we walk
with Christ He takes all the bad habits and people out of our lives and
replaces them with good morals and people. When we walk with Christ we are able to get through every situation, trial, and struggle with hope
and joy. When we walk with Christ we do not have to worry about our
future because a much greater future is awaiting us.
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then
shall ye also appear with him in glory...And whatsoever ye do, do it
heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye
shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord
Christ. - Colossians 3:1-4,23,24. Praise God!
When Paul said ye are dead, that means that when you accepted Christ
as your Savior you are no longer dead to sin, but alive in Christ. Buried
with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the
faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. - Colossians 2:12.
An operation is a movement, a workmanship, a procedure of productive activity. God has an operation, a movement, a workmanship, a procedure for productive activity, that is none other than Operation Salvation, in other words, God has chosen specific people, a workmanship, to continue in His movement to get as many people saved as possible before Christ
returns. Jesus said, As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. - John 17:18,19.
While God can do anything, there is one thing He will not do and that
is force a person to accept Him into their lives. However, if God left
it up to one individual very few people would be getting saved. While
some people do get saved because they grew up in the right church, the majority of people were led by someone showing them the Gospel at one point in their lives. I grew up in a Christian home, knew about God and Jesus, was taught all these things about Him and how to live right, but the one thing I was never taught was that if I did not want to end up in hell I had to personally ask Jesus to save me. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.- Romans 10:13.
Churches are not created equal, there is only one way to heaven and
only one person can get you there and that is Jesus Christ. Once you
accept Christ you are saved and no one or thing can take that away. Now, that does not mean that you will not have to go through some suffering here on earth if you choose to walk another path instead of one with Christ, but it does mean that nothing you do can take you away from the love of God, one way or another He will get you to walk with Him. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Message Title: The God of Peace
The Book of Philippians is the eleventh book of the New Testament, the
fiftieth book of the Bible, and contains four chapters. The author of
this epistle (letter) is Paul and it was written to the church of
Philippi. The purpose of the letter was to bring Christian unity, there
was some strife going on in the church so Paul encourages them to just
live for Jesus first and there will be unity. What we are to learn from
the book is that unity with Jesus brings us joy in all that we do. “Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. - Philippians 2:2.
Jesus said, This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.- John 15:12. As Christians no matter how much we try to love one another, it can be a little difficult to love certain people, especially when they are constantly trying to bring you down, even other Christians can do this. So, how do we love one another as Jesus commands without falling apart? Paul said, I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and
in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to
abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which
strengtheneth me. - Philippians 4:12,13.
To be abased means to humble yourself, let it go, even if you know you
are right, sometimes you just have to let them say what they want, God
knows the truth and it makes you free. To abound means to exist or occur in abundance, to be plentifully supplied. God is taking care of everything and one day you will see the blessings for stepping aside and not stooping to their level.
For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing,
than for evil doing. For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the
just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death
in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: - I Peter 3:17,18.
Of course, we are going to fall from time to time, but the great thing
about God is that He is right there to pick us back up. Paul explains
what helps him overcome all the struggles he faces, According
to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be
ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall
be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. For to me
to live is Christ, and to die is gain...Only let your conversation be as
it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or
else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one
spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
- Philippians 1:20,21,27.
Paul's defense, to live for Christ. The truth is this, if we are not
dwelling on our problems and focusing on others it lessens our burdens, what better person to focus on then Jesus. We do not even have to do much, just tell the Gospel to someone. You do not have to know the Bible to tell someone about Jesus, you just have to believe in Jesus and tell them what you believe. He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself:- I John 5:10.

If there was ever anyone who had the right to fight back it was Jesus, but He was the most abased man there was.
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made
himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and
was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. - Philippians 2:5-8.
Jesus could have done anything He wanted, but He chose to humble
Himself to a mere servant and take on every sin that was and will be
committed by everyone and gave His life for them. However, death had no rule over Jesus, He arose three days later, proving that no one, not
even Satan himself can defeat the power of God.
Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also
yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. - Romans 6:9-11. Praise God!
Paul gives us some encouragement, “Brethren,
I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do,
forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those
things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the
high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as be
perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.
Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample. -Philippians 3:13-17.
It is time to let by gones be by gones, we can not do anything about
the past, but we can do something about now. Press forward, reach for
some goals, forget about them, in fact, thank them. You have much more going for you, Christ. He is right there with you, encouraging you and giving you the strength you need to keep going.
Finally,brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.� - Philippians 4:8,9. Praise God!

Message Title: A Prisoner of The Lord

The word duty is defined as something that one is expected or required to do by moral conscience or legal obligation. The Bible says,
Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.- Ecclesiastes 12:13b. The key here is to Fear God, it means to give respect and reverence (praise, thanks) to Him, when we fear God we are better able to keep His commandments.
Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: -Hebrews 12:28.
God gives us all specific gifts that enable us to serve Him effectively, the apostle Paul explains this further, I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness,
with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and
one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;..And he
gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and
some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the
work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we
all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of
God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness
of Christ: - Ephesians 4:1-4,11-13.
A prisoner of the Lord, means having a perfect and pure heart for God,
it is the true elect of God. Remember, yesterday we learned that Jesus
chooses you, if you have accepted Christ as your Savior and decided that you want to live your life for Him than you have been chosen to serve Him by teaching others about Him. The job that you have right now has been given to you so that you can teach others about Christ. It is the most important duty that God gives all believers. Jesus said, Go
ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
- Matthew 28:19,20.
Did you ever notice that regardless of what you do the longer you do
it the excitement of it wears off and it sort of becomes just a routine
and a but boring? I read some where that the average Christian lifespan
is about seven years. I do not know about you, but I do not want to be
average and God does not want us to be either.
And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Now unto him that is able to do
exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the
power that worketh in us,- Ephesians 3:19,20. God wants us to be filled with all His fullness (abundance, wealth). Praise God! Now, this is where many people put a halt to living the Christian life, it becomes routine or boring to the point that they forget they are serving God. I admit I have felt that from time to time, Satan does a good job of trying to get us to think that what we are doing for God is worthless and takes all the joy out of life. But can I tell you, when you fight him off with the power of God leading you there is no better and enjoyable duty than serving God.
How do we keep from being the average Christian? Paul shows us, Put
on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the
wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but
against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the
darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.� - Ephesians 6:11-13.
Every day we need to arm ourselves with God, He is the only one who
can help us overcome Satan and all that he does to pull us away from
doing His work. Of course, we are going to have days where we are weak in faith and just exhausted with life, but as long as we arm ourselves with God He can pick us back up before Satan puts a halt to our duties.
So, what is the armor of God? a Stand
therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the
breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith
ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take
the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word
of God: - Ephesians 6:14-17.
The Word of God is the most effective guard we have against Satan,
Jesus used an example of seeds planted in different types of ground to
explain how we all receive God's Word and or walk away from it, The
seed is the word of God. Those by the way side are they that hear; then
cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest
they should believe and be saved. They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience. - Luke 8:11-15.
Some people will reject God's Word all together, some will hear just
enough to get saved, some will hear it and live in it for a while until
temptation or bitterness pulls them away, and there are some that hear
it, stick with it, and hold on to it no matter what is going on in their
lives. These are God's elect, the prisoners of the Lord, having a
perfect and pure heart for Him. Of course, they will become tired from
time to time, but God knows their hearts, He knows your heart and He
knows what you are going through. He wants to comfort you and give you peace, but you have to let Him help you. I can not get enough of these verses lately, Jesus said, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
- Matthew 11:28-30.
Jesus is right there to give you rest, just give all your burdens over to Him and He will make them lighter. Praise God!

Message Title: Little by Little
As Christians who were brought up in the world I imagine there are
times where we all stop and think about our lives before Christ. Maybe
you feel a little regret for some of the things you got into or allowed
to happen in your life and wish that you would have had Christ in our
life back then. Amazingly enough, He was, you just did not know it.
Little by little Christ was working in you and getting you ready for a
life with Him in it. Jesus Said,
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that
whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.- John 15:16.

The Book of Ephesians is the tenth book of the New Testament, the
forty-ninth book of the Bible, and contains 6 chapters. This epistle was
written by the apostle Paul to the church at Ephesus. The purpose of
the letter was to inform believers of their wealth in Christ and
instruct them concerning their walk in Christ. What we are to learn from
the book is that all Christ's believers are heirs to both the blessings
(the wealth) and the responsibilities (the walk) of their calling in
Christ. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. - Ephesians 2:10.

The Book of Ephesians is probably the best book you can read to
explain why we go through so much before we get saved. In fact, Paul is the greatest example and testimony of how someone who was brought up to hate Christ and persecuted Christians can turn his life around for Christ. The Holy Spirit led Paul to write,
According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of
the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the
beloved...In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being
predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things
after the counsel of his own will: That we should be to the praise of
his glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom ye also trusted, after
that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom
also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of
promise, - Ephesians 1:4-6,11-13.
You see, Jesus already knew what you would be doing with your life
before and after you chose to accept Him into it. He even chose the
exact time you would find out that He was what you needed all along.
Why? It's all about timing, Jesus waits until you are going to be
committed to Him before He trusts you with His gift. The truth is this,
thousands of people get saved, but very few care less about living their
lives for Christ. That is why He had to strengthen you, grow you, and
wait until you were ready to serve Him with all your heart.
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. - Matthew 5:8.

Paul reminds us of where we were before we knew Christ and why we know Him today.
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the
desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of
wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great
love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath
quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath
raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in
Christ Jesus: - Ephesians 2:2-6.
We can praise God that we were able to overcome every single foolish
thing we did before we knew Christ and even the ones to come. Praise
God! When we walk with Christ we lose the desire to do the things we use to love to do in the world. Once in a while I will watch an old movie
that I probably watched over and over again only to turn it off
wondering why I ever watched it. Many of the clothes I use to wear I
would not think of wearing now. I do not think I even talk to any of the
people I thought were my friends before I knew Christ. Christ changes
us for the better, he gets rid of all the things that cause unnecessary
suffering, temptation, and shame and replaces it with hope, joy, and
peace.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be
afraid. - John 14:27.
As I was reading these chapters something got my attention, many
people question whether or not God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the
Holy Spirit are one. Well, we are one in the same, when we accept Christ as our Savior, God dwells in us through the Holy Spirit, now we are not only one with Christ, we are heirs with Christ, brothers and sisters.
On top of that we are no longer strangers, but a part of the Kingdom of
God. Paul confirms this,
Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
- Ephesians 2:19-22.
Within us is God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit all molded together into a child of the living God savedby grace.
And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.- Romans 9:26.

Message Title: Come Out of Captivity

The word liberty is defined as freedom, freedom from captivity, bondage, or restraint, Jesus Said, And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32.
If you have accepted Christ as your Savior you can rejoice
because you have the truth in you and it made you free. Free from hell,
free from Satan, and free from any bondage or guilt you have had.
Praise God! Wait a minute, are you sure you are free? Is there something from your past or even going on now that continues to hold you bondage.
Even though we are saved, Satan loves to hold us down and keep us in
bondage to our weaknesses, fears, and failures in life, but we do not
have to live in bondage, it's time to come out of captivity and be free
from all your burdens, guilt, shame, weaknesses, and fears.
As Paul continues to write the Galatians he reminds them of how they were once in bondage, Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his
Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. -
Galatians 4:3-5.
The law that Paul is talking about is the law made
between God and His people, given by Moses, that was a way for His
people to have a right relationship with Him, but something happened. It was too hard for them to obey the law, so, God sent Jesus to redeem
them once and for all. When we call on Jesus to save us, we are no
longer in bondage to the elements of the world, but are adopted into
God's family.
This is where many Christians keep themselves in bondage, they want a better life and know that they need to do something to change it, but
out of fear or rebellion, allow the elements of the world to control
them. Paul continues,
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage...For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith...For, brethren, ye
have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to
the flesh, but by love serve one another.Galatians 5:1,5,13.
The more you do for God and others the less things you do in
the world. You can not expect nor does God expect you to remove every element over night, it takes time and as long as you are willing to take that step to use that freedom to serve God and others then you are on your way.
What exactly are the elements that keep a Christian in bondage? Paul tells us, Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. - Galatians 5:19-21.
Variance means argumentative, emulations means rivalry, seditions means rebellion, heresies means disbelief, revellings means over indulgence, these are all things that still keep a Christian in bondage even though they are saved.
Now, you can not lose your salvation, but this goes back to Galatians
5:13, we are not to abuse our freedom by continuing to do the things we use to do before getting saved. It's going to be a painful life here on
earth for any Christian who remains in that bondage. Life is hard enough as it is, but adding to it by living a lifestyle that you know is wrong will never set you free. Only living through Christ sets you free, But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by
Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect,
stablish, strengthen, settle you.� - I Peter 5:10.
When we live life through Christ He shows us how to step by step
remove the things that we were or are bondage to and replace them with things that keep us right not only with God, but ourselves as well. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness,
goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections
and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. - Galatians 5:22-25.
We can give thanks to God that we are no longer in bondage to the works of the flesh since all who have accepted Jesus had their sins crucified on the cross when Jesus died for them. Now we are filled with the Holy Spirit that allows us to bear His fruit and are free from all bondage ofsin. However, Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. - Galatians 6:7-9.
Christ set you free when He died on the cross for you, if you believe
that then there is hope for you to get out of any situation you are in.
He can bring you out of captivity, however, you must let Him help you,
He is the only one who can. Jesus said, Come
unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you
rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and
my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30.
Put your trust in Jesus to set you free, He is there for you.

It's By Faith
The word faith means trust, when you got saved you may have said a prayer similar to this,
Dear God,
I confess that I am a sinner. I believe with all of my heart that Your
Son, Jesus Christ died for me to pay my sin debt. I ask Jesus to come
into my heart and save me. I have complete trust in Him and from this
moment on I will depend on Him for my salvation. Amen.
When we ask
Jesus to save us we are putting our faith or trust in Him and only in
Him to save us and it is by that faith that we are depending on Him for
our salvation. Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: - Romans 5:1.
The Book of Galatians is the ninth book of the New Testament, forty-eighth book of the Bible, and contains six chapters. The author of this epistle (letter) is Paul and it was written to the believers of Galatia. The purpose of the epistle was to correct the false teaching of Jewish
legalism in the Church. What we are to learn from the book is that Jesus delivered all of us from law to liberty. Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.- Galatians 5:1. This letter for the Galatians forever settles the fact that there is only one way to avoid eternal hell and to be assured of eternal life in heaven for both Jew and Gentile.
The churches of Galatia were formed by both converted Jews and
Gentiles, somehow the true Gospel got distorted and the churches began preaching one that a person was justified by faith and works. Paul writes the Galatians to set the record straight and reassure the
converts that we are only saved by our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ
and that salvation can never be taken away from us. I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But
though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you
than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. - Galatians 1:6-8.
That angel from heaven preaching another gospel is none other than
Satan, he was once one of God's angels, but was cast out because he
tried to take the throne from God.
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art
thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou
hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my
throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the
congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights
of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought
down to hell, to the sides of the pit.- Isaiah 14:12-15. Satan knows where he is going for eternity, he is trying to keep as many people as he can from knowing the truth as if that is going to keep him from being cast into hell, but he can not escape it neither can anyone else who deceives people with another gospel.
Why is it important? It is important to understand that if one little
piece of the Gospel were changed than it would have changed everything else in the Bible as well. Christ, who was sinless, gave His life to save us all from hell, He arose again three days later, proving that even death has no power over the power of God. Every person who believes in the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ and allows Him to come into their lives is saved by their faith in Him alone and only by their faith.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
- Romans 10:9,10.
The resurrection of Christ is the very heart of Christianity. It is
the one sign that tells us with perfect certainty that the sacrifice of
Jesus was acceptable to God and that a way had been made for our sins to be forgiven. If the death of Christ would have been in vain than we would all still be sacrificing animals to keep from going to hell. Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. But if, while we
seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is
therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid...I am crucified with
Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the
life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of
God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. - Galatians 2:16,17,20,21.
God instilled the law of Moses to the Jews as a way for them to be
reconciled with God, if you have ever gotten angry at someone for
betraying you than you can understand why God reacts the way He does when His people betray Him. However, God knew that no matter how many times a person brought an animal to Him to be reconciled with Him he would still sin, maybe not even on purpose, but it was just in his nature. That is when He knew He had to make a way for a person to be reconciled with Him once and for all, hence, Jesus Christ.
For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is
written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are
written in the book of the law to do them. But that no man is justified
by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live
by faith. And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them
shall live in them. Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law,
being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that
hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the
Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the
Spirit through faith. - Galatians 3:10-14.
We can give a big thanks to Jesus that we are no longer bound to that
curse. Praise God! Does that mean we will never sin again? Of course
not. Does that mean we are no longer saved if we do? Of course not! If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. - I John 1:9.
Jesus died once on the cross to save us, that means we only have to ask Him once to save us.
Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also
yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. - Romans 6:9-11. Praise God!

VICTORY THROUGH WEAKNESES
The word infirmity is defined as a physical or moral weakness,
or failing at something. We all have infirmities of some sort and while
they may make us feel as though we are a failure God sees them as
victories. The Bible says,
For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you.
- II Corinthians 13:4. Weakness brings us closer to God, it not only
gives us His power to overcome our infirmities, it also brings life to
us. Think about it. When you feel as though you have failed you feel
awful and kind of dead inside and do not want to do anything, but when
you succeed you feel great and lively inside and as though you can do
anything. You can do anything, through Christ that is. “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. - Philippians 4:13.
So, how do we overcome our infirmities? First, we need to give
ourselves over to God, the more we do for God, the more we are
strengthen to overcome our infirmities.
But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man
according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly,
or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to
make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:..Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to
God.- II Corinthians 9:6-8,11.
The Bible teaches us that we are to tithe ten percent of our income to God (our home church), but giving to God is more than just tithe, it is also giving your time. So, if we were to give ten percent of our time to God that would be two hours and forty minutes a day. Can you give two hours and forty minutes to God each day?
It only needs to start with one and before you know it everything you
do puts God on your mind.
Why is it so important? We are fighting a war, a spiritual war against God and Satan,
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the
weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the
pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.- II Corinthians 10:3-6.
The more time we give to God the harder it is for Satan to corrupt us and Satan will do anything, including twist
God's Word a little bit to get us to question the truth.
Paul continues to warn us to avoid things that corrupt our thinking, But
I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his
subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is
in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not
received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well
bear with him. For I suppose I was not a whit behind the very chiefest
apostles...For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming
themselves into the apostles of Christ. - II Corinthians 11:3-5,13..
A couple of weeks ago I had someone say to me, I agree with you about
Jesus, but you should read the Quran. Now, people are free to follow
whatever book they want, but the only book I follow is the Bible, it is
the only true Word of God. Since I am a missionary and a teacher of
God's Word I have to do a lot of research to back up what I teach. I
have to be careful not to allow myself to be corrupted by what I
research, my only guard is remaining in God's Word. Only God's Word can prepare us, armor us to fight the battle.
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: - Ephesians 6:16,17.

There is only one book that contains the Word of God, every other so
called holy book written was written by a person paraphrasing the Bible. Incidentally, the Quran was written by one man named Muhammad, said to have been given to him by archangel Gabriel. Islamic people are descendents of Ishmael, the illegitimate child of Abraham and his wife's handmaid, Hagar. However, the Bible was written through forty men who God spoke to Himself through the Holy Spirit. God's people are descendents of Isaac, the blessed child of Abraham and Sarah. And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him. And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation. But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year. - Genesis 17:19-21.
Notice the similarities between Ishmael's people and God's people, this is how people can get corrupted.
Our only victory through infirmities is Christ, the only way to know
the truth for yourself is to know Christ yourself, which can only happen
if you ask Him to come into your heart. If you know Christ and give
yourself to Him you will have the power to overcome any physical or
moral weakness. If you are questioning your faith think about what Paul said,Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates.
Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear
approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as
reprobates. For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth. - II Corinthians 13:5-8.

The word reprobate means a person rejected by God and beyond hope of salvation.
While God wants to see everyone in heaven with Him, He knows that there are some that are too wicked and will never see salvation. He also knows who are His and the amazing thing is that our greatest victory over anything that Satan will corrupt us with is being one of God's people.
Praise God!
He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he
shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable,
and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and
brimstone: which is the second death. - Revelation 21:7,8.

A Sweet Savour

Hello My Friend/Guest,
The book of II Corinthians is the forty-seventh book of the Bible,
eight book of the New Testament, and contains thirteen chapters.
The author of the book is Paul and it was written to the believers at
Corinth. The purpose of the book was to reestablish his apostolic
authority and to show gratitude and thanks for their faithfulness in
Christ. What we are to learn from the book is that human weakness
provides an opportunity for the manifestation of the power of God.
For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you. - II Corinthians 13:4.
Paul's first letter to the Corinthians is one of discipline, this one,
which was written about a year later, was written when he himself was
in despair and heard that they had turned things around. He wanted to
show them how pleased he was that they were living by the true Gospel.
Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of
mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our
tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any
trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also
aboundeth by Christ. And whether we be afflicted, it is for your
consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the
same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is
for your consolation and salvation.- II Corinthians 1:3-6.
Paul is reminding them and us that we are going to be afflicted from
time to time, but it is during that affliction that we find comfort with
God and can know that Christ is right there with us. Many people think
that the second they call on Christ to save them that all their troubles
will disappear immediately and they will not have to endure any more
pain and suffering. Then when things are not changing for them they
blame it on God. You know, we do not get into the messes that we get
into overnight, it takes some time, so, we can not expect all our
troubles to go away overnight either. What we can do is trust God and
let Him handle it in the manner that He knows is best for us. “For
therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the
living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that
believe. - I Timothy 4:10.
Think about it. If God or anyone else for that matter cleaned up one mess after another without any repercussions how would we learn from it? Likewise, if we have everything handed to us without any work or
difficulties in obtaining them, would we learn to appreciate them?
Everything that we go through in life is placed before us, not only to
get us to be dependent on God for everything, but to also get us to
realize that it comes from God. We are going to face trials whether we
choose to follow Christ or not, at least by following Him we know that
someone is on our side and that greater blessings will come as we learn
to trust Him.
Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish: To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things? For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ. - II Corinthians 2:14-17. The word savour (savor) means a distinctive quality and a delight in. Therefore, we have a distinctive quality and are a delight in the Lord. Praise God!
We can face trials and suffering with the confidence that our Lord
never makes a mistake. As we submit our wills during times of testing,
God imparts strength and the comfort of the Holy Spirit with a two-fold
effect: Our burdens are lifted and we become qualified to comfort others just as Paul was able to.
Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by
manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's
conscience in the sight of God. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to
them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds
of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of
Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach
not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants
for Jesus' sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of
darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge
of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. - II Corinthians 4:1-6.
Nothing we do for God goes unnoticed, particularly
in teaching the Gospel, it is the gift that keeps on giving and I will
tell you what, getting people saved will bless you tremendously. Oh,
Satan is going to try you, but you will shine and out of the blue you
will see how much all your labor, pain, and suffering will pay off. “But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. - I Corinthians 15:57,58.

NOTHING SHALL BE IMPOSSIBLE
Details of Today's Chapters:
The Spiritual Rock, the holy communion, the diversity of God's
spiritual gifts, covered and uncovered heads, one body, one spirit for
all, and charity.
Many churches give holy communion in observance of Jesus' last supper here on earth. And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.-Matthew 26:26-28.
If you have ever taken communion you know that you
receive a wafer or some bread and some grape juice. The bread represents the body of Christ signifying that we are one with Christ when we accept Him and receive Him as our Savior. T
he juice represents His blood shed signifying that we believe that we are cleansed by His blood that was shed for the atonement of our sins when we accepted Him as our Savior.
This is why we have the New Testament of the Bible, it is all
about the remission of sins after Jesus resurrected.

Many people dismiss the Old Testament, but it is important that we
know and study both testaments. While we are not bound to some of the laws God gave the Jews before Jesus came, we are bound to the same
blood, same God, and same Jesus. Paul explained this to the people at
Corinth. Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; And did all eat the same spiritual meat; And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.. .Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make away to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.- I Corinthians 10:1-5,11-13.
The word admonition means as a caution or warning, every person and
event that took place that was written in the Bible was given to us as
an example of God's blessings and chastisements so we can be prepared and know how to avoid and handle any kind of trials and temptations that we are subject to. God never places anything before us that He knows we can not handle, so, those who remain in sin, using the excuse of circumstances are not trusting in God to help them out of that situation. The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread. But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils. -
I Corinthians 10:16,17,20, 21.
Paul is speaking to those who are Christians living a double life,
meaning they follow Christ, but also live in the world. Once a Jew or
Gentile is saved he is no longer a Jew or Gentile, but a Christian, a
child of God. So, if they remain living in the world they are
fellowshipping with Satan as well. It never works out, you can not serve
both, Jesus said,
No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and
love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other.
Ye cannot serve God and mammon. -Luke 16:13.
If you are in a situation that is beyond your control you have to give
it over to God and let Him show you what you need to do to get out of
it. You say it's impossible? Nothing is impossible when we allow Christ
to lead us. I was a double life Christian, I had a boyfriend, we lived
together, he pulled me into some immoral things that I knew were wrong, he cheated on me and yet, I truly loved him and did not want to lose him so I did what he asked me to do because I did not want to lose him. In the end, all the suffering, shame, and humiliation he put me through got replaced by the mercy, grace, and forgiveness of our wonderful God. I am now living a moral Christian life that I am not ashamed of without the boy friend in it. It was not easy and took me a while, but now I would not know what to do if Jesus was not in my life. I thank Him every day for getting me out of the mess that I was in. For with God nothing shall be impossible. - Luke 1:37. God will help us out of any situation we are in as long as we seek His help.
When most people think of the word charity they think of it as giving
money or something to help out the poor, needy, etc. However, in God's
eyes charity goes beyond helping the needy. Paul reminds us what charity is, Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
- I Corinthians 13:4-7.
To God the word charity means love, it is having kindness and compassion for one another, regardless of how you
have been treated. It may seem surprising to the world, but from God's
point of view it is more important to be known for one's loving
kindness, thoughtfulness, compassion, and consideration than being a
famous evangelist or preacher.
You do not have to go to church and give communion there to know that you are a part of Christ, in fact, many of the churches that do give
communion only allow certain people to receive it. This is false, any
person who accepts Christ as their Savior already and always will have
Christ and His blood inside of them. However, it is good to be reminded
of just who are a apart of, so, the next time you eat a piece of bread
or drink a cup of juice remind yourself that Christ is with you and, For with God nothing shall be impossible. - Luke 1:37. Praise God!
