Pentecost is at hand

John 20:22 - And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith
unto them, Receive ye the Holy Spirit:

Yesterday I broke the Word in a Church nearby to where I stay (for the
1st time) and the topic was the same as the message we received for
today.

Many think that we received the Latter Rain / the Spirit of God
through Jesus at Pentecost. Today's scripture clearly states Jesus
breathe on them before and said receive the Holy Spirit. Even in the
book of Acts it is written before the manifestation at Pentecost Jesus
communicated with his disciples through the Holy Spirit and instructed
them to remain together in that place, this proves that the Holy
Spirit was with them.

It was only when they followed the instruction of the Holy Spirit and
waited for the right time, did they get baptized in the Holy Spirit.
For the day of Pentecost (7th week after Passover / Resurrection Day -
Pentecost was then called the feast of Harvest) was the day Moses
received the Ten Commandments (the second time) which was given to the
people. The first time God provided the tablets but on the second
time, man had to prepare the tablets on which God wrote. The Writer of
the Ten Commandments - the Finger of God / Holy Spirit now wrote into
the tablets of flesh - the hearts of the Apostles.

We read in scriptures the Spirit of God was given unto the people in
many ways; other than breathing on them, by laying of hands and also
when anointing fell on the people while hearing the preaching.

Next Sunday we will be celebrating Pentecost. This is one of the most
important days in the life of a Christian, more important than
Christmas. If you have not been baptized and you have received the
Holy Spirit, it is time to surrender unto Him, His instruction and be
baptized in Him.

It is written in Acts when people were baptized in the Holy Spirit
they were very confident that they were baptized, because there was
physical manifestation of the baptism, mostly with the gift of
tongues.

You have one week to prepare your hearts for the Finger of God to
write His Law onto it and bear harvest of His fruit.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord Jesus, You came on earth with two purposes. One to open the close
door by your sacrifice and second was to enable us to enter through
the door by giving us your Spirit. O Holy Spirit, You are our Helper
and it is by You alone that we can walk The Way - Jesus. Jesus opened
the door for us but it is You alone Who can take us through that door.
Work in us O Holy Spirit of God and enable us through this journey.
Also use us to spread Jesus and You unto your people who have yet to
receive You...

We make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference scriptures]
Acts 1:2-5
2 until the day in which he was received up, after that he had given
commandment through the Holy Spirit unto the apostles whom he had
chosen:
3 To whom he also showed himself alive after his passion by many
proofs, appearing unto them by the space of forty days, and speaking
the things concerning the kingdom of God:
4 and, being assembled together with them, he charged them not to
depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father,
which, said he, ye heard from me:
5 For John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized in
the Holy Spirit not many days hence.

Acts 8:18-21
18 Now when Simon saw that through the laying on of the apostles'
hands the Holy Spirit was given, he offered them money,
19 saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay my
hands, he may receive the Holy Spirit.
20 But Peter said unto him, Thy silver perish with thee, because thou
hast thought to obtain the gift of God with money.
21 Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is
not right before God.

Acts 10:44-47
44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all
them that heard the word.
45 And they of the circumcision that believed were amazed, as many as
came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the
gift of the Holy Spirit.
46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then
answered Peter,
47 Can any man forbid the water, that these should not be baptized,
who have received the Holy Spirit as well as we?

P.S.
Point to note with regards to yesterday's mail Herod who was there
during the birth of Jesus was not the same Herod who was during His
crucifixion.
