R.D SOUZA Saved by faith - Page 20 Empty Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Post  Admin on Sat 02 Feb 2013, 8:12 pm

There is no God like Jehovah
Deuteronomy 4:7 - For what great nation is there, that hath a god so
nigh unto them, as Jehovah our God is whensoever we call upon him?

The name Jehovah is actually a name coined like the word God which is
used in place of Divine One (OT) or Theo / Deity (NT). The 4 Hebrew
constants JHWH which were none pronounceable since it did not have
vowels, therefore vowels were added to it and the name Jehovah came into
existence.

Since long man was not aware of what the name JHWH meant, it was of late
some have come to know. One may know old languages like Hebrew and also
the Egyptians used alphabets which were also ideograms, meaning the
alphabets symbolized an object, or action, or understanding.

The alphabets JHWH by its ideogram mean "BEHOLD- THE HAND-BEHOLD- THE
NAIL". So we see that it was the Lord Jesus Christ before He became man
was referred to as JHWH.

From the start of Creation we see the Lord the Son (Jesus Christ) and
the Holy Spirit were actively involved with man. It was this reason that
Jesus boldly referred to Himself many a time as 'I AM' a term used for
Jehovah. In the Gospel of John it clearly shows Jesus came from the
Father and literately means He was in the Father and was declared as an
identity by Himself. That is why He was not created yet existed and
therefore we have scriptures like He was from the beginning yet the
Father is greater than Him, He and the Father are one even though He
humbled Himself and came as man, if you have seen or known Jesus you
have known the Father even though we cannot imagine to come before the
Father in our corrupt being (since Son and Spirit humbled their selves
therefore we can come before Them - Son came as man and His Spirit as
the Seven Spirits - like light refracts into 7 primary colours).

Jesus as man was born through the power of the Holy Spirit so in many
scriptures He also refers to the Holy Spirit as Father. The Spirit of
the Father and the Spirit of the Son is the same yet are addressed a
Being by Himself. It is only by the context of the scripture we
understand whom Jesus refers to as Father, the Holy Spirit or the
Heavenly Father (Who separated Himself in the beginning when darkness came).

When I had to go to minister to a sick Muslim, I was told by the Lord he
would accept Christ and be saved. Now I was in a fix unless I give him
the Gospel how will he be saved, and the most difficult part for a
Muslim was to understand the Godhead - 3 Beings yet 1. Then the Lord put
a thought in my mind to take my daughters play dough and using it to
explain him and his family this understanding. I went to his house and
using the play dough I explained the concept which they call Trinity,
and he and his family did understand it.

Today's message tells us our God is different from other gods for no one
has a god as great as ours. Now this is not the main factor for all gods
are manmade, made out of the imagination of man. But yet the Bible says
they are not greater than our God implying they exist for the fallen
angels take active part behind these gods and show them as existing.

The Bible says our God is always with us. JHWH was with us before He
came as man and now, even though He is in Heaven yet His Spirit is with
us. Being with us does not mean like a man is with another. God is
omnipresent so He is everywhere, what it means is He is active with us,
working amongst us, in us and His as His work manifests His glory will
also manifest.

Let us as a nation coming together and showing the working of the Lord
in us, thus letting His presence be manifested to the world and He be
glorified.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, You were always with us even though many a times we did not
acknowledge You, You did not forsake us. When darkness came into
existence due to the revolt of a third of the Angels who went against
your Light, You could have easily crushed the Angels and eliminated the
darkness, but You created insignificant man to overcome the mighty
Angels through your working in him. Lord, we know through your Word the
great plans You have for us and we await the great day when we will
overcome darkness and be married into You and be Light for You are Light...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

John 1:14 - And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we
beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full
of grace and truth.

John 1:18 - No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son,
which is in the bosom [this word also means creek] of the Father, he
hath declared him.

John 16:27-28

27For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have
believed that I came out from God [Father].

28I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I
leave the world, and go to the Father.

John 16:15-17

15He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

16And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the
living God.

17And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona:
for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which
is in heaven.

John 5:23, 26-27, 36-37

23That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He
that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

26For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to
have life in himself;

27And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is
the Son of man.

36But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the
Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness
of me, that the Father hath sent me.

37And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me.
Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.

John 6:45-46

45It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God.
Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father
[referring to the Holy Spirit as Father here for the man Jesus came by
the Holy Spirit], cometh unto me.

46Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he
hath seen the Father.

John 8:19 - Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus
answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye
should have known my Father also.

John 10:30, 36-38

30I and my Father are one.

36Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the
world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

37If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.

38But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may
know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

John 14:8-11

8Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

9Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast
thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father;
and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

10Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the
words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that
dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

11Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else
believe me for the very works' sake.

John 14:20,26,28

20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I
in you.

26But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit [Father' s Spirit], whom
the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and
bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

28Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you.
If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father:
for my Father is greater than I.

John 15:26 - But when the Comforter [Son's Spirit] is come, whom I will
send unto you [same as the Father's Spirit, but stated here as the Son
will send] from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth
from the Father, he shall testify of me:

John 16:10Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no
more;

Scriptures where Jesus said He is 'I AM'

John 7:28-29

28Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know me,
and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent
me is true, whom ye know not.

29But I know him: for I am from him, and he hath sent me.

30Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because
his hour was not yet come.

John 7:34-35

34Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye
cannot come.

35Then said the Jews among themselves, Whither will he go, that we shall
not find him? will he go unto the dispersed among the Gentiles, and
teach the Gentiles?

John 8:23-24

23And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of
this world; I am not of this world.

24I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye
believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

John 8:58-59

58Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham
was, I am.

59Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and
went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

The strange woman who ignores the covenant of God

Proverbs 2:16-18 - To deliver thee from the strange [estranged] woman, even
from the stranger which flattereth with her words; Which forsaketh the
guide of her youth [early life], and forgetteth [ignore] the covenant of
her God. For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.

We have been getting warnings regarding the Catholic Church time and again
of late, God must be having a purpose for this. For scriptures say there
will come a day when this Church will experience the wrath of God and
before that His people will warn the Lord’s people who are still inside
this Church to come out of her.

One of the greatest deceits that keep most people inside this Church is the
lie that this Church was built by the Apostles. I would like to quote from
a site since it is well written and this matter quiet neatly. (
http://www.gotquestions.org/origin-Catholic-church.html
The Roman Catholic Church contends that its origin is the death,
resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ in approximately A.D. 30. The
Catholic Church proclaims itself to be the church that Jesus Christ died
for, the church that was established and built by the apostles. Is that the
true origin of the Catholic Church? On the contrary. Even a cursory reading
of the New Testament will reveal that the Catholic Church does not have its
origin in the teachings of Jesus or His apostles. In the New Testament,
there is no mention of the papacy, worship/adoration of Mary (or the
immaculate conception of Mary, the perpetual virginity of Mary, the
assumption of Mary, or Mary as co-redemptrix and mediatrix), petitioning
saints in heaven for their prayers, apostolic succession, the ordinances of
the church functioning as sacraments, infant baptism, confession of sin to
a priest, purgatory, indulgences, or the equal authority of church
tradition and Scripture. So, if the origin of the Catholic Church is not in
the teachings of Jesus and His apostles, as recorded in the New Testament,
what is the true origin of the Catholic Church?

For the first 280 years of Christian history, Christianity was banned by
the Roman Empire, and Christians were terribly persecuted. This changed
after the “conversion” of the Roman Emperor Constantine. Constantine
“legalized” Christianity with the Edict of Milan in A.D. 313. Later, in
A.D. 325, Constantine called the Council of Nicea in an attempt to unify
Christianity. Constantine envisioned Christianity as a religion that could
unite the Roman Empire, which at that time was beginning to fragment and
divide. While this may have seemed to be a positive development for the
Christian church, the results were anything but positive. Just as
Constantine refused to fully embrace the Christian faith, but continued
many of his pagan beliefs and practices, so the Christian church that
Constantine promoted was a mixture of true Christianity and Roman paganism.

Constantine found that with the Roman Empire being so vast, expansive, and
diverse, not everyone would agree to forsake his or her religious beliefs
to embrace Christianity. So, Constantine allowed, and even promoted, the
“Christianization” of pagan beliefs. Completely pagan and utterly
unbiblical beliefs were given new “Christian” identities. Some clear
examples of this are as follows:

(1) The Cult of Isis, an Egyptian mother-goddess religion, was absorbed
into Christianity by replacing Isis with Mary. Many of the titles that were
used for Isis, such as “Queen of Heaven,” “Mother of God,” and
theotokos (“God-bearer”)
were attached to Mary. Mary was given an exalted role in the Christian
faith, far beyond what the Bible ascribes to her, in order to attract Isis
worshippers to a faith they would not otherwise embrace. Many temples to
Isis were, in fact, converted into temples dedicated to Mary. The first
clear hints of Catholic Mariology occur in the writings of Origen, who
lived in Alexandria, Egypt, which happened to be the focal point of Isis
worship.

(2) Mithraism was a religion in the Roman Empire in the 1st through 5th
centuries A.D. It was very popular among the Romans, especially among Roman
soldiers, and was possibly the religion of several Roman emperors. While
Mithraism was never given “official” status in the Roman Empire, it was the
de facto official religion until Constantine and succeeding Roman emperors
replaced Mithraism with Christianity. One of the key features of Mithraism
was a sacrificial meal, which involved eating the flesh and drinking the
blood of a bull. Mithras, the god of Mithraism, was “present” in the flesh
and blood of the bull, and when consumed, granted salvation to those who
partook of the sacrificial meal (this is known as theophagy, the eating of
one’s god). Mithraism also had seven “sacraments,” making the similarities
between Mithraism and Roman Catholicism too many to ignore. Constantine and
his successors found an easy substitute for the sacrificial meal of
Mithraism in the concept of the Lord’s Supper/Christian communion. Sadly,
some early Christians had already begun to attach mysticism to the Lord’s
Supper, rejecting the biblical concept of a simple and worshipful
remembrance of Christ’s death and shed blood. The Romanization of the
Lord’s Supper made the transition to a sacrificial consumption of Jesus
Christ, now known as the Catholic Mass/Eucharist, complete.

(3) Most Roman emperors (and citizens) were henotheists. A henotheist is
one who believes in the existence of many gods, but focuses primarily on
one particular god or considers one particular god supreme over the other
gods. For example, the Roman god Jupiter was supreme over the Roman
pantheon of gods. Roman sailors were often worshippers of Neptune, the god
of the oceans. When the Catholic Church absorbed Roman paganism, it simply
replaced the pantheon of gods with the saints. Just as the Roman pantheon
of gods had a god of love, a god of peace, a god of war, a god of strength,
a god of wisdom, etc., so the Catholic Church has a saint who is “in
charge” over each of these, and many other categories. Just as many Roman
cities had a god specific to the city, so the Catholic Church provided
“patron saints” for the cities.

(4) The supremacy of the Roman bishop (the papacy) was created with the
support of the Roman emperors. With the city of Rome being the center of
government for the Roman Empire, and with the Roman emperors living in
Rome, the city of Rome rose to prominence in all facets of life.
Constantine and his successors gave their support to the bishop of Rome as
the supreme ruler of the church. Of course, it is best for the unity of the
Roman Empire that the government and state religion be centered in the same
location. While most other bishops (and Christians) resisted the idea of
the Roman bishop being supreme, the Roman bishop eventually rose to
supremacy, due to the power and influence of the Roman emperors. When the
Roman Empire collapsed, the popes took on the title that had previously
belonged to the Roman emperors – Pontificus Maximus.

Many more examples could be given. These four should suffice in
demonstrating the true origin of the Catholic Church. Of course the Roman
Catholic Church denies the pagan origin of its beliefs and practices. The
Catholic Church disguises its pagan beliefs under layers of complicated
theology. The Catholic Church excuses and denies its pagan origin beneath
the mask of “church tradition.” Recognizing that many of its beliefs and
practices are utterly foreign to Scripture, the Catholic Church is forced
to deny the authority and sufficiency of Scripture.

The origin of the Catholic Church is the tragic compromise of Christianity
with the pagan religions that surrounded it. Instead of proclaiming the
gospel and converting the pagans, the Catholic Church “Christianized” the
pagan religions, and “paganized” Christianity. By blurring the differences
and erasing the distinctions, yes, the Catholic Church made itself
attractive to the people of the Roman Empire. One result was the Catholic
Church becoming the supreme religion in the “Roman world” for centuries.
However, another result was the most dominant form of Christianity
apostatizing from the true gospel of Jesus Christ and the true proclamation
of God’s Word.

Second Timothy 4:3-4
http://biblia. com/bible/ esv/Second% 20Timothy% 204.3-4> declares,
“For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine.
Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great
number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will
turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.”

My earnest request to all Catholics is to not follow anything blindly or on
human assurance. It is a matter of your eternal life or a place you will
spend the rest of your spirit life which is in thousands of years. The
Bible states those who believe in Him and yet reject His Word will be dealt
more severely than the others. Those who reject Christ will pay for their
sins but those who accept Christ and reject His Father’s Word will also pay
more for they did so with knowledge. So please confirm everything with
scriptures and with history.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, we pray before the turn of events that your people who are still in
this false Church come out of her and not experience your wrath. We pray
that they put your Word over the words of man...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Luke 12:48 - But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes,
shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him
shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they
will ask the more.

Matthew 22:1-8

1 And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,

2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage
for his son,

3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the
wedding: and they would not come.

4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden,
Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and
all things are ready: come unto the marriage.

5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another
to his merchandise:

6 And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and
slew them.

7 But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his
armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.

8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were
bidden were not worthy.

9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to
the marriage.

10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all
as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished
with guests.

11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which
had not on a wedding garment:

12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a
wedding garment? And he was speechless.

13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take
him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and
gnashing of teeth.

14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

They knew not they were gathering wild gourds

2 Kings 4:39 - And one went out into the field to gather herbs, and
found a wild vine, and gathered thereof wild gourds his lap full, and
came and shred them into the pot of pottage: for they knew them not.

Today we received the same message what we received a few days back.

The scripture states some men who were instructed by Elisha to make stew
for the sons of the Prophets went out to collect herbs and landed pickup
wild gourd, only because they could not distinguish them to be harmful.
These people were either teachers of the sons of the Prophets or care
takers of them.

What I found interesting was the Hebrew word used for herbs "'owrah&qu ot;
also means light. The scripture in other words says these people when
out to bring light and landed picking up darkness for the wild vines
were poisonous wild gourds. These wild gourds would not have killed a
grownup man but a small kid it surely could cause great harm and even death.

In today's message the Lord is telling us Preachers and Pastors are
pickup up knowledge from others without discerning them and feeding this
to the congregation. These teachings may look good and may refer to
scriptures of the Bible but then they are sometimes twisted teaching or
an understanding which contradicts other scriptures.

Any teaching however good it may seem, if it goes against any scripture
is like poison. It may not kill instantly but soon or later it will harm
us. In our previous messages the Lord told us to test every teaching
that we hear and receive with scriptures. If we find them contradicting
any scripture we need to question the person who gave us the teaching.
But if we find no scripture contradicting it and yet the teaching hard
to receive we should not reject it, we should ponder on it as and when
we can, or wait on the Lord to open it up for us, for rejecting it will
only harden our hearts.

Just to give you an example. Some days back I attended a couple's
session where a couple from abroad, whose ministry is concentrated on
family, gave some practical pointers to build relationship between a
married couple. All their pointers were good and practical but then
there was one statement which made me question their foundation. One of
them said they would even give up their ministry for the sake of keeping
the relation between them. This may look like great love but then this
teaching is like wild gourd.

Let us understand marriage, marriage happens when two come together in a
commitment to each other. A family is like default relationship which
God has set us into and is based on a blood relationship but marriage is
a spiritual relationship which God states overrides our blood
relationship. That is why He said a man and woman with leave their
mother and father and become one. It did not mean literate leaving but
showed the importance of marriage over our relationship with our parents
or blood relationship.

Now if marriage is a spiritual relationship then without the Lord how
can it be a spiritual relationship?

We need to understand marriage is more of us imitating a heavenly event.
Even though animals also have relationships, some of them very committed
unto death (like in elephants and penguins) yet their relationship is
not called a marriage.

Therefore giving up on Christ or His call in our lives for the sake of
marriage is wrong also not keeping and building the relationship that is
of Christ (for by it we imitate the church becoming one with the Lord in
Heaven) for the sake of our call in Christ is also not a solution. If
the Lord is in our relationship then surely He who bought the two
together and also gave callings, knew if they could be achieved together
or not. The problem comes mostly because people do not what the Lord has
called them to do but do what they feeling like doing in the Lord's
Kingdom according to worldly understanding and traditions.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, we pray that the shepherds You have appointed over your people
will be blessed with your wisdom to discern the teachings that they
pickup to give unto their congregation. Lord, we pray for a revival
among the shepherds that they receive more from You than from the world.
That they stop giving stale Manna but make bread of fresh Manna that the
receive from You daily and give Living Bread...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

2 Kings 4:38-41

38 And Elisha came again to Gilgal: and there was a dearth in the land;
and the sons of the prophets were sitting before him: and he said unto
his servant, Set on the great pot, and seethe pottage for the sons of
the prophets.

39And one went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild
vine, and gathered thereof wild gourds his lap full, and came and shred
them into the pot of pottage: for they knew them not.

40So they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to pass, as they
were eating of the pottage, that they cried out, and said, O thou man of
God, there is death in the pot. And they could not eat thereof.

41But he said, Then bring meal. And he cast it into the pot; and he
said, Pour out for the people, that they may eat. And there was no harm
in the pot.

1 Corinthians 11:3 - But I would have you know, that the head of every
man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of
Christ is God.

Luke 20:34-36

34And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry,
and are given in marriage:

35But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the
resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:

36Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and
are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

1 Corinthians 7:34-40

34There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried
woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in
body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the
world, how she may please her husband.

35And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon
you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord
without distraction.

36 But if any man think that he behaveth himself uncomely toward his
virgin, if she pass the flower of her age, and need so require, let him
do what he will, he sinneth not: let them marry.

37Nevertheless he that standeth stedfast in his heart, having no
necessity, but hath power over his own will, and hath so decreed in his
heart that he will keep his virgin, doeth well.

38So then he that giveth her in marriage doeth well; but he that giveth
her not in marriage doeth better.

39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if
her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will;
only in the Lord.

40But she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and I think
also that I have the Spirit of God.

The terrible thing that is happening in the Church

Jeremiah 23: 15 - Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the
prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink
the water of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness
gone forth into all the land.

Yesterday at my Bible class we were studying Acts chapter 16. This
chapter has the ever famous scripture 'Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ,
you and your family (household) will be saved'.

All of us must have come across this scripture some or other time in our
life. It is used by preachers and pastors very often to encourage people
to believe that the Lord will work on the unsaved members in the family
and that they too will be saved.

Yesterday as we were studying this scripture we were in for a surprise.
This scripture is not a promise like what people take, but is a word of
knowledge which Paul had for the keeper of the prison.

First thing we should understand salvation is a person thing, one is
saved by one's own decision and no one can save anyone by praying or
doing anything for another person. Prayer does make salvation easier,
for it causes God not to harden a person's heart, but does not bring
salvation into the life of that person. Even if that person is a member
of our family, by our decision of accepting Christ we cannot save
another member of the family, even our own wife, or husband, or children.

The family of the keeper of the prison were saved because they accepted
the Gospel which Paul gave them and believed in the Lord Jesus Christ.

This scripture is just one example of the many twisted 'Word' or
falsehood that has been going around in our Church. The Lord is telling
us because of the evil in the hearts of those who are called to lead the
Church we have this falsehood going around.

Having come from a Catholic background, being out right deceived for
many years by people who I trusted to be spiritual guides; and also seen
preachers of the Believers Churches who have being giving distorter
Word, I have learned one thing, like the people of Berea who did not
trust even Paul but checked every word of his with scriptures, we too
also need to verify every teaching that we hear and not accept it at
face value even if it comes from the most famous or senior person in the
Church.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, your Word says your people suffer due to lack of knowledge. Lord,
the shepherds You appointed or those who have made themselves one are
either spiritually asleep or become a cause for the slaughter of your
sheep due to their evil hearts. Lord, we pray a change in heart of the
shepherds of the Church, that they do their work honestly and with
complete dedication.. .

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Acts 16:26-34

26And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of
the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and
every one's bands were loosed.

27And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the
prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself,
supposing that the prisoners had been fled.

28But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we
are all here.

29Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and
fell down before Paul and Silas,

30And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

31And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be
saved, and thy house.

32And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in
his house.

33And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes;
and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.

34And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them,
and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.

Acts 17:10-12

10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto
Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.

11These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they
received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the
scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

12Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were
Greeks, and of men, not a few.

Jeremiah 23:14-27

14I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they
commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of
evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of
them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.

15Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets;
Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of
gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into
all the land.

16Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the
prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision
of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.

17They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall
have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the
imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.

18For who hath stood in the counsel of the LORD, and hath perceived and
heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard it?

19Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in fury, even a grievous
whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked.

20The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have executed, and
till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye
shall consider it perfectly.

21I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to
them, yet they prophesied.

22But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear
my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and
from the evil of their doings.

23Am I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off?

24Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith
the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.

25I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name,
saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.

26How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy
lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart;

27Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which
they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my
name for Baal.

Do not go unto her and be cut off
Proverbs 2:19 - None that go unto her return again, neither take they
hold of the paths of life.

Today again I have been given to write about the Great Babylon, it is
not that I like to do it, for I too would have preferred to write about
things which would please people and bring more and more people to read
what I post on the various electronic media. In the start as I would
only encourage and hardly rebuke or correct the numbers increased in
multiples but then my aim is not to bring more people to God but to
bring God' people to Him, so I prefer doing what pleases God than what
pleases me.

One of the most important points what will cause all those who are
Catholics from entering Heaven is their worshiping of humans. I know at
the first instance a Catholic will say we do not worship humans, we give
reverence to them.

Let us see what the word worship means.

In Hebrew the word is "shachah" <07812> (Strong number) in Aramaic
"cegid" <05457>

In Hebrew it is translated according to the grammatical tense (Qal) and
(Hithpael) as worship, bow, bow down, obeisance, reverence, fall down
etc. In Aramaic it has a flat meaning and means the same.

There is also another Hebrew word "'atsab&qu ot; <06087> which is translated
as worship but written in the Bible in an ironic way and actually means
to grieve, hurt, pain etc. used in Jeremiah 44:19.

In Greek the word is "proskuneo&quo t; <4352> and implies

1) to kiss the hand to (towards) one, in token of reverence

2) to fall upon the knees and touch the ground with the forehead as an
expression of profound reverence

3) kneeling or prostration to do homage (to one) or make obeisance,
whether in order to express respect or to make supplication

In other words giving reverence or bowing down before any person or
object representing a person like picture or statue is worshipping the
person. Also kissing the hand of a person in reverence or of an object
symbolizing a person like a picture or statue, is worshipping the person.

If we look at the first 2 Commandments God puts very clearly we cannot
put another god before the Lord God and secondly we are not to make any
idol of any person alive, dead or in Heaven (which means even of Jesus)
and bow to it or worship it.

When we give any person, being, relation or object more importance than
God we break the first commandment of putting a god over the Lord God.
Jesus as man never glorifies Himself and even had a tussle with His
earthly mother in the wedding of Cana concerning this matter. All that
Jesus did on earth glorified God and it was only this miracle at the
wedding that caused people to glorify Him. This miracle was recorded
with its objections so that we know the Truth. Catholics do not realize
kissing the hand or ring of the Bishop or Pope is a gesture that
symbolizes worshiping the Bishop or Pope or his authority for a ring
symbolizes authority.

The second Commandment does not tell us we cannot make idols or statues
even pictures (for purpose like teaching or conveying a message), but
clearly tells us we cannot give reverence to them or worship them or
serve them which means putting flowers to or burning incenses or
candles. If we understand the formulae of the perfume which God gave
Moses which had the 4 ingredients of stacte, onycha, galbanum and
frankincense they collectively symbolized perfect worship and this
perfume Lord forbid to be used for any other purpose other than for Him
alone. Anyone who did would be cut off from Heaven.

Our God is a jealous God who is not only possessive of His people but
also is possessive of His glory and does not allow His glory to be
shared by any other. We as humans do not understand this because we are
corrupt beings, but God who is perfect cannot be compared to anything or
anyone, if He allows it would mean He is corrupt. Since our God is Truth
He does not allow it at all that is why we see these 2 factors are at
the top of the list of Commandments the Lord God through Moses.

Today's message is a clear warning to Catholics, as practising Catholics
they do not have any chance of going to Heaven. It is time they reject
the falsehood that keeps them deceived to be people of God and come out
of this false church.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, You alone are worthy of our Praise and Worship, for You alone are
perfect. Jesus as man although being without blemish, a perfect man did
not allow people to worship Him, how then can any being of blemish be
worthy of worship. Lord, your people are deceived to bow to idols and
people in your name all because they lack knowledge of your Word. Lord
we pray today's message be like a sword that pierces their soul and
spirit...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Exodus 30:34-38

34And the LORD said unto Moses, Take unto thee sweet spices, stacte, and
onycha, and galbanum; these sweet spices with pure frankincense: of each
shall there be a like weight:

35And thou shalt make it a perfume, a confection after the art of the
apothecary, tempered together, pure and holy:

36And thou shalt beat some of it very small, and put of it before the
testimony in the tabernacle of the congregation, where I will meet with
thee: it shall be unto you most holy.

37And as for the perfume which thou shalt make, ye shall not make to
yourselves according to the composition thereof: it shall be unto thee
holy for the LORD.

38Whosoever shall make like unto that, to smell thereto, shall even be
cut off from his people.

Exodus 20:1-6

1And God spake all these words, saying,

2I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of
Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

3Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

4Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any
thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that
is in the water under the earth:

5Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD
thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the
children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

6And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my
commandments.

Matthew 4:10 - Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it
is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou
serve.

Jeremiah 44:16-19

16As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the LORD,
we will not hearken unto thee.

17But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own
mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink
offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and
our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem:
for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.

18But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to
pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all things, and have
been consumed by the sword and by the famine.

19And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out
drink offerings unto her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour
out drink offerings unto her, without our men?

John 4:21-24

21Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye
shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.

22Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is
of the Jews.

23But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall
worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such
to worship him.

24God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit
and in truth.

Acts 7:39-43

39To whom our fathers would not obey, but thrust him from them, and in
their hearts turned back again into Egypt,

40Saying unto Aaron, Make us gods to go before us: for as for this
Moses, which brought us out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is
become of him.

41And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice unto the
idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands.

42Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it
is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye
offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in
the wilderness?

43Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god
Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you
away beyond Babylon.

John 2:1-11

1And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the
mother of Jesus was there:

2And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.

3And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They
have no wine.

4Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is
not yet come.

5His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.

6And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of
the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.

7Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled
them up to the brim.

8And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the
feast. And they bare it.

9When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine,
and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water
knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,

10And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good
wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou
hast kept the good wine until now.

11This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and
manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

Matthew 5:16Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your
good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Revelation 18:4-5

4And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my
people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of
her plagues.

5For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her
iniquities.

Revelation 2:20-23

20Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou
sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to
teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things
sacrificed unto idols.

21And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.

22Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with
her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

23And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall
know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give
unto every one of you according to your works.

Plans belong to man but answering is His

Proverbs 16: 1 - The plans of the heart belong to man; But the answer of
the tongue is from Jehovah.

Since the time I came to the Lord and started attending preachings, many
of the preachers would preach about making visions and trusting in the
Lord to bring them to pass.

Among the most famous scripture they took was Genesis 1:2-4 which states
God first spoke and then saw implying do not go by sight but first speak
to your situations. Another famous scripture was Habakkuk 2:2 - "And the
LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon
tables, that he may run that readeth it".

In the first scripture they did not says that was not man but God who is
all knowing and in the second scripture they leave the scripture before
which talks of being a watchman for the Lord, standing on the tower and
being reproved. It was after that the Lord speaks of giving the vision.

Jesus put it very clearly that everything that we ask we will not get
but only if they are good for us, according to the will (Kingdom) of
God, glorifies God or helps us grow in the Lord.

Today's message is very clear we may make our own plans and build
castles in the air but our plans getting fulfilled or the castle
becoming reality depends on the Lord and the Lord has make it clear it
will be done only if they abide by the conditions stated before. Unless
we do not delight in the Lord we will not get the desires of our hearts met.

There is one more thing we should know, we ask because we lack but there
will come a time as we grow in the Lord when we will not ask; Jesus says
when our joy is complete in the Lord we will not ask.

[Prayer Started]

Lord, we lack because we are far from You. Our hearts Lord are far from
You and our joy is not in the things your Kingdom. Lord, we pray that we
know more of your Kingdom, your will, work for your glory in our lives
and our surroundings and grow into becoming your Sons so that our joy is
complete and we do not lack in anything...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Genesis 1:2-4

2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the
face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

4And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from
the darkness.

Psalms 37:4 - Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee
the desires of thine heart.

Matthew 7:6-11

6Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls
before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again
and rend you.

7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it
shall be opened unto you:

8For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and
to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

9Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give
him a stone?

10Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

11If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your
children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good
things to them that ask him?

John 14:13-15

13And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the
Father may be glorified in the Son.

14If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

John 15:16 - Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained
you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should
remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may
give it you.

John 16:20-27

20Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the
world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be
turned into joy.

21A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come:
but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more
the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.

22And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your
heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.

23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto
you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

24Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive,
that your joy may be full.

25These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh,
when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you
plainly of the Father.

26At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I
will pray the Father for you:

27For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have
believed that I came out from God.

R.D SOUZA Saved by faith - Page 20 Empty Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Post  Admin on Wed 23 Jan 2013, 11:35 pm

Babylon that was and wasn’t

Jeremiah 50:23,24 - How is the hammer of the whole earth cut asunder and
broken! how is Babylon become a desolation among the nations! I have laid a
snare for thee, and thou art also taken, O Babylon, and thou wast not
aware: thou art found, and also caught, because thou hast striven against
the LORD.

Just in the morning I had a person question me why I speak against the
Catholic Church in my messages and why I can’t I concentrate on just giving
the Gospel, and then I received this message from the Lord for today.

Catholics jump to defend themselves when Believers point that the Catholic
Church is the Mother of all fornication mentioned in Revelation chapter 17.
When I was a Catholic I too never believed people who gave their theories
on this Babylon of the new era. I always thought it was their hatred
against the so called “Universal Church set by the Apostles” that made them
to be blinded.

It was later when I saw the traditions of the Catholic Church were going
against the Word of God and found that the Lord had in fact warned
specifically about these going to happen that I realized how those people
were true about this Babylon. Even though many of these prophecies have
come true in history yet the lies broadcasted by this church fools many.

Firstly we need to realize like the Israel of the Bible is more to do with
the people of God than with the Jews, similarly the Babylon is more to do
with the Great Whore than with the kingdom that existed in those times.

If the Jews were the true people of God then the Holy Spirit would not have
led the Apostles to come out of the Jewish Church but would have led them
to be better Jews. We would not have had Paul warning Titus in chapter
1:9-10 about the people who included Jewish traditions in to Christianity
or in his letter to Romans stating a Jew is not the one of traditions but
of spiritual understanding.

Paul also says God’s chosen people are not those born of the flesh but
those who are born out of faith, that is why we Christians are called
descendants of Abraham but our faith in Jesus Christ. The Lord did keep the
natural Israelites for His Name sake until people know the True Israel the
spiritual Israel.

Similarly if we look at the Babylon in the Old Testament, although it
sieges to exist today yet we see the New Testament continues to talk of it
in the book of Revelation, clearly showing that the real Babylon is yet to
come.

Catholics have one contention of not being the false church that is since
they existed for a long period therefore they have the favour and approval
of God.

If we look at history in the Old Testament the events there did not happen
in days but many were over long periods of time (in years).

The people of Israel were under the bondage of the Egyptians for nearly 400
years did the Egyptians have the favour of God?

The fight between the Israelites and the Amorites went on for years and
years; was the favour of God also on the Amorites like it was on the
Israelites?

The Assyrian and Philistines tormented the Israelites for long eras, was
God strengthening the Philistines and Assyrians like He did to the
Israelites?

The Lord selected Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon to punish the
Israelites when the wrath of God was on the Israelites but wasn’t it the
Lord who make an example of him when he glorified himself as a god.

If one goes through the seven letters to the seven Churches in Revelation
(chapters 2 &3) and understands them; they talk of the seven stages of the
Church of Christ. This seven letters are not chronicle recordings like the
book of Acts but are prophetic revelations and this is why recorded in the
book of Revelation (I have written below the stages up to current date).

This matter needs to be known by all Christians so that they do not confuse
Catholics as Christians but people who call themselves Christians. A person
who believes in Jesus Christ is not called a Christian but the one who
follows Him is.

In today’s message the Lord speaks about what is due to this church. This
needs to be read along with Revelation 17:3 - 18:21. This is also viewed
with what happened with king Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon when God punished
him even though God had selected him to punish the Israelites (Daniel
4:24-37).

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, we pray your people come out of the deceit that is done in your name.
Let your people know that it is your Spirit that is the foundation of the
Church for You have said not by your Power or by your Strength but by your
Spirit...

We make this prayer in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Titus 1:9-10
9 Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be
able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.

10 For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially
they of the circumcision:

Romans 2:28 - For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that
circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:

Romans 4:10-17

10 How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in
uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.

11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness
of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the
father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that
righteousness might be imputed unto them also:

12 And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision
only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham,
which he had being yet uncircumcised.

13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to
Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of
faith.

14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the
promise made of none effect:

15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no
transgression.

16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the
promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the
law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father
of us all,

17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before
him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those
things which be not as though they were.

1 Chronicles 6:15 - And Jehozadak went into captivity, when the LORD
carried away Judah and Jerusalem by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.

Jeremiah 27:6 And now have I given all these lands into the hand of
Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field
have I given him also to serve him.

Ezra 5:12 But after that our fathers had provoked the God of heaven unto
wrath, he gave them into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon,
the Chaldean, who destroyed this house, and carried the people away into
Babylon.

Revelation chapters 2 & 3

The first stage or Ephesus was the stage of the Apostles and
their disciples ministered over the Church.

The second stage Smyrna (myrrh a poisonous aromatic gum) was the coming of
the Catholic Church (the dark ages)

The third stage Pergamos (elevation) the renewed Catholic Church

The fourth stage Thyatira (affliction) the newly formed Believer Church

The fifth stage Sardis (red ones - symbolizing people passionate for the
Lord) the revamping of the Believer Church (the present stage which we are
just entering).

Daniel 4:24-37

24 This is the interpretation, O king, and this is the decree of the most
High, which is come upon my lord the king:

25 That they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the
beasts of the field, and they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and
they shall wet thee with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over
thee, till thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and
giveth it to whomsoever he will.

26 And whereas they commanded to leave the stump of the tree roots; thy
kingdom shall be sure unto thee, after that thou shalt have known that the
heavens do rule.

27 Wherefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto thee, and break
off thy sins by righteousness, and thine iniquities by shewing mercy to the
poor; if it may be a lengthening of thy tranquillity.

28 All this came upon the king Nebuchadnezzar.

29 At the end of twelve months he walked in the palace of the kingdom of
Babylon.

30 The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built
for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour
of my majesty?

31 While the word was in the king’s mouth, there fell a voice from heaven,
saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is
departed from thee.

32 And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the
beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven
times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in
the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.

33 The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was
driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the
dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles’ feathers, and his
nails like birds’ claws.

34 And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto
heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most
High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion
is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to
generation:

35 And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he
doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the
inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What
doest thou?

36 At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my
kingdom, mine honour and brightness returned unto me; and my counsellors
and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and
excellent majesty was added unto me.

37 Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven,
all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in
pride he is able to abase.

Poisonous stew that is causing abortions in the Church

2 Kings 4:38-41

38 And Elisha came again to Gilgal: and there was a dearth in the land;
and the sons of the prophets were sitting before him: and he said unto
his servant, Set on the great pot, and seethe pottage for the sons of
the prophets.

And there was no harm
in the pot.

In today's message we read about how there is a famine in the land and
during this time in the school where the children of the Men of God went
Elisha landed. Elisha told the people there to prepare food for the
students. So these people went and picked up wild gourds which were
poisonous and started preparing a pottage.

As they were eating they started feeling the symptoms of the poisonous
stew and realized. They shouted that there was death in the pot. Elisha
immediately asked for some flour to be bought and put it in the pottage
then he asked them to eat it and they found it was edible.

Wild gourds also called colocynths is a plant that has great survival
properties thus was found even though there was a famine. It has fleshy
long root, has small yellow flowers and small round green fruits of
which seeds are edible and used to make oil. This plant's some parts are
edible but since the drought was very harsh only the vines were surviving.

In ancient days this plant was also used for medical purposes and one of
them was to terminate early pregnancy. So we see this plant had strong
consequences on the stomach of the children when they ate of it. Elisha
by adding flour to the pottage reduced the strong effects of the plant
and made it edible. So there was no miracle here but just sensibility.

Today's message is very important to the Church. The Church is also
facing a drought. You may say brother there are great things happening
in the Church. Yes the Church is doing a lot of activities but see the
fruits that the Church is bearing. We hardly see great mighty Men and
Women of God being produced out of the Church. It is not that there are
not anointed people in the Church, but these are like children,
spiritually not matured. The problem is that these people are spiritual
fed wild gourds in the Church and this causes their passion for God to
be terminated at early stages, very few come to a stage of teens. Then
they too do not last for all are made to pursue being a Pastor and not
the calling which the Lord has for them in their life.

Preachers in Church are giving Manna to the congregation. God gave us
Manna (Word of God) but did not tell us to eat as it is. Man was to
ground it, nit it, bake it and then eat it. Jesus did not say He came to
give us Manna but said He came to give us Living Bread. In the Gospels
Jesus showed how the Manna was processed and made into bread that gave
life. All the teaching of Jesus written the Gospels of Matthew, Mark and
Luke are from the Old Testament, but very rarely people realize this.
Even when Jesus said I give you a new commandment the word He used was
'kainos&# 39; which also means made fresh.

It is time we use our senses and add some Living Word in the Church so
that we stop the terminations of Men and Women of God at an early stage.

Just day before yesterday I was speaking to a senior Pastor and told him
it is time we do not have the breaking of the Word in Church if people
do not have a Living Word from God, a revelation from Him. It is better
the congregation cries and weeps before the Lord then to feed the
congregation things that sound good but harden them spiritually (wild
gourds).

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, the Church lacks life for they are consuming Manna and not Living
bread. Lord we pray the preachers and shepherds spend time with You and
process the Manna into Living bread to feed the congregation. Lord we
pray a stop to the abortions and early deaths that are happening in the
Church...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Exodus 16:14-21,31

14And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the
wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on
the ground.

15And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It
is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This
is the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat.

16This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded, Gather of it every
man according to his eating, an omer for every man, according to the
number of your persons; take ye every man for them which are in his tents.

17And the children of Israel did so, and gathered, some more, some less.

18And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had
nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered
every man according to his eating.

19And Moses said, Let no man leave of it till the morning.

20Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses; but some of them left
of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and stank: and Moses was
wroth with them.

21And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating:
and when the sun waxed hot, it melted.

31And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it was like
coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey.

Numbers 11:7-9

7And the manna was as coriander seed, and the colour thereof as the
colour of bdellium.

8And the people went about, and gathered it, and ground it in mills, or
beat it in a mortar, and baked it in pans, and made cakes of it: and the
taste of it was as the taste of fresh oil.

9And when the dew fell upon the camp in the night, the manna fell upon it.

Sacrificing to the net

Habakkuk 1:16 - Therefore they sacrifice unto their net, and burn
incense unto their drag; because by them their portion is fat, and their
meat plenteous.

About a month back I was called to be part of an event whose purpose was
to evangelize Christ to the people on the streets of a crowded area
where Hindu extremist groups usually attack Christian preachers and
people attending Christian churches. To find a way to get to do this
event the main organizer heads used the disguise of a Catholic
celebration and incorporating Catholic rituals which were non-biblical.
When I came to know of this influx I was reluctant to be part of it, but
then I prayed and asked Lord for guidance and I got this same scripture
which we received today as message for the day.

The event went well, it had some hurdles but at the 11th hour they got
sorted and we were able to reach out to many thousands of people giving
tracts and giving the Gospel of Jesus Christ on the roads through loud
speakers mounded on a large trailer.

Anybody seeing this would say what is wrong with doing this? It was a
very bold step and met the purpose of reaching out to people and that
too to great masses.

Today's message talks of the Chaldeans (means clod-breakers which
symbolizes people who think out of the box to prosper) who were
considered learned or wise people during those times. The Lord is saying
in this message these people use extraordinary ways to get great
results. Then the Lord points out to the area of problem with such
people. He says they burn incense to the methods they use. He also
points out these people do not empty their nets and thus become cause
for the destructions of nations.

We need to understand as Christians there are many ways by which we can
reach out to the masses of people at one time. These ways may look good
but the Lord warns against them. He says if we use worldly ways which
compromise His values we will land up not acknowledging the Lord as the
giver of the Harvest but at our wisdom and ideas as being the cause of
bringing people to God. The Lord also warns that in such cases since we
were not inspired by Him we land up with a lot of people who start to
depend on us for everything and people who we do not separate from us,
although our purpose is to bring people to the Lord and not to ourselves.

The Lord is not telling us to stick to traditional ways of preaching but
is says not to compromise with the values of God to do God's work even
if they seem to look fruitful. We need to understand that Lord is the
provider of our harvest. We need to go by His ways to have a good
quality harvest.

Our aim should be more to make disciples for God and less just
believers. We are here to make mighty men and many men.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, the ways of the world are easy but as your people You call us to
go against the stream. It is You that give us the strength and ability
to move against the stream. It is You who bless us with good results.
There are many so called Christians who acknowledge You but do not
acknowledge your Word, such people You hate, for your Word and You
cannot be separated. Lord, we pray your workers do not use worldly ways
to do work which is Heavenly but they totally be led by You. You do not
desire a large army but You desire a good army where each one You will
make mightier than a thousand...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Habakkuk 1:6-8,14-17

6For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which
shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the
dwellingplaces that are not theirs.

7They are terrible and dreadful: their judgment and their dignity shall
proceed of themselves.

8Their horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce
than the evening wolves: and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and
their horsemen shall come from far; they shall fly as the eagle that
hasteth to eat.

14And makest men as the fishes of the sea, as the creeping things, that
have no ruler over them?

15They take up all of them with the angle, they catch them in their net,
and gather them in their drag: therefore they rejoice and are glad.

16Therefore they sacrifice unto their net, and burn incense unto their
drag; because by them their portion is fat, and their meat plenteous.

17Shall they therefore empty their net, and not spare continually to
slay the nations?

Joshua 23:10 - One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the LORD your
God, he it is that fighteth for you, as he hath promised you.

Keep the Sabbath holy

Isaiah 58:13, 14 - If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing
thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of
the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor
finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: Then shalt thou
delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high
places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father:
for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

With scripture like Isaiah 58:13, 14 the Jews had taken the Sabbath very
seriously. I have been told the volumes of rules and regulations concerning
the Sabbath surpass any other topics. This matter was so important to them
that it was the first bone of contention between the Jews (the Pharisees
and Sadducees) and Jesus. The friction started with this and then took on
to Jesus calling Himself Son of God and God Himself.

Today also this topic causes great debate even among Christians. Some will
claim Saturday to be the Sabbath and some will okay Sunday being the
Sabbath. Today we who live in cities can take a holiday during the week but
those in villages and doing occupation like farming, diary or breeding
cattle these people do not have a concept of off day. Neither plants or
animals abide by Sabbath, thus can God hold anything against them? Surely
God knew that before made the law.

Jesus was always accused of breaking the Sabbath. When asked people say He
was called the Lord of the Sabbath so He was exempted. That would prove
Jesus false for He Himself said He was man (son of man), He abided by the
Law and Bible also says He was without blemish. Therefore the problem is
with our understanding.

Let us look at the Command concerning Sabbath - it states ‘Remember the
sabbath day, to keep it holy’.

If we look at the Bible there are Sabbath day and Sabbath year. There are
also certain days of the year like the 1st day and the 8th of the seventh
month which was a Sabbath. Even the other important feast like the Passover
and Pentecost (Harvest feast) were considered a high Sabbath or holy
Sabbath.

The Sabbath was both a Commandment as well as a statute. People mistake the
Commandment with the statute. People mistake the Commandment with the
statute. Jesus kept the Commandment but did not keep the statute. The Jews
mistook the statute and the Commandment, therefore were angry with Jesus.

When God created the world in 6 days and rested the 7th day, the word day
used here does not necessary mean 24hr day but a period of time. Time is a
factor relative to the point of observation. The records in Genesis chapter
1 are very accurate scientifically; they have been proved by many renowned
people with Biblical and scientific background.

We need to understand the statute of resting on the seventh day is given by
the Lord so that we can understand the Sabbath. Jesus is called the Lord of
the Sabbath because He truly understood and executed His rest in the Holy
Spirit and promise of the Father in Heaven. Jesus did not try to do more
than what He needed to do; He did His task and let the Holy Spirit take
over.

The Command of keeping the Sabbath holy is more than what people think. It
is not about a calendar day, or week or year, it is about a period when we
need to rest in the Lord. The times we doubt in the Lord even though we are
told He will do a task or He will provide, we land up breaking 4th
Commandment.

We will understand the statute of Sabbath more with the Commandment of
circumcision which also was given by the Lord to Abraham and then to Moses.
This was not really a Commandment but a statute which gives us the true
understanding of circumcising our hearts during baptism. When man does not
know the clear definition of heart or inner-man, it is just impossible for
him to understand what circumcising it would mean. It is only by
understanding natural circumcision we understand spiritual circumcision.
Therefore when the understanding came the statute was not to be continued.
The disciples were led by the Holy Spirit to stop the natural circumcision.

In today’s message the Lord is telling us the times when we try our own
even though the Lord has spoken to us directly, or by Word, or through
someone, we will be sinning against Him and if we look at the position it
takes on the 10 Commandments it is greater than lying or stealing. But
those who abide by the Sabbath the Lord will prosper them in all ways, for
the Lord takes delight in them.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, there are many time we read your Word which tells us You will take
care of our problems yet we land up worrying about them and not trusting
You. Lord we ask You forgiveness for those moments and ask for your help
and grace to abide in You and take refuge under your wings...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Exodus 20:8 - Remember the sabbath day , to keep it holy.

Exodus 35:1-3

1 And Moses gathered all the congregation of the children of Israel
together, and said unto them, These are the words which the LORD hath
commanded, that ye should do them.

2 Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to
you an holy day, a sabbath of rest to the LORD: whosoever doeth work
therein shall be put to death.

3 Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the sabbath day.

Leviticus 23:24 - Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh
month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial
of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.

Leviticus 25:4 - But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto
the land, a sabbath for the LORD: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor
prune thy vineyard.

Matthew 12:1-14

1 At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his
disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat.

2 But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples
do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.

3 But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an
hungred, and they that were with him;

4 How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which
was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but
only for the priests?

5 Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests
in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?

6 But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.

7 But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not
sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.

8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

9 And when he was departed thence, he went into their synagogue:

10 And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they
asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they
might accuse him.

11 And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall
have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not
lay hold on it, and lift it out?

12 How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to
do well on the sabbath days.

13 Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it
forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.

14 Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they
might destroy him.

Luke 13:12-16

12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman,
thou art loosed from thine infirmity.

13 And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight,
and glorified God.

14 And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that
Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are
six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed,
and not on the sabbath day.

15 The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one
of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him
away to watering?

16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath
bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath
day?

Luke 14:1

1 And it came to pass, as he went into the house of one of the chief
Pharisees to eat bread on the sabbath day, that they watched him.

2 And, behold, there was a certain man before him which had the dropsy.

3 And Jesus answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it
lawful to heal on the sabbath day?

4 And they held their peace. And he took him, and healed him, and let him
go;

5 And answered them, saying, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox
fallen into a pit, and will not straightway pull him out on the sabbath day?

Beware of the bear
Proverbs 2:19 - None that go unto her return again, Neither do they attain
unto the paths of life:

In the Bible there is a character who like a bear stalks the people of God
from generation to generations.

When a grizzly bear smells a prey it will stalk it for miles and miles
until it gets to it and consumes it. When it sees a herd it will not attack
immediately, it will stay hidden until it finds the right time to attack.
Due to its inability of speed over long distances it compensates with
sudden surprise attack. Before it attacks it lifts itself high and shows
itself as great in size, it also brings out its claws and displays it
fierce teeth. But what does the killing job is the hit of its powerful paws.

My coming out of the Catholic Church happened when I took note of this
character that stalked the people of God and also is in control of mankind
in various religions in various forms. This one female character takes form
of various goddesses throughout ages and becomes the cause of the anger of
God to consume His people. However much people are blessed in the Lord,
when they are attached to this woman it will not matter to them getting
totally destroyed or annihilated by God’s anger but they will not leave
their dedication to this goddess.

We call the Bible the Word of God it is also called the Book of
Instructions for life. In Proverbs we read the Commandments (Instructions)
of God is like a lamp, its law is like light and its warnings and
corrections as guidelines to the way of life. That means if we do not take
note of the warnings the Word of God gives we will not have life.

Today’s scripture warns us about this woman who stalks God’s people and
causes them to have devotion to her and thus makes them to lose the
promises of God and eternal life. She deceives them in various ways taking
forms according to people’s environment and belief. She is so shrewd that
it is just not possible to know her seductive and destructive ways that are
sweetly wrapped in emotions, unless one is baptized in the Holy Spirit.

In today’s era she is still present in one of her most powerful forms yet,
mostly among the Catholics coming as the mother of Jesus. She fools people
to think she is Mary the mother of Jesus and she is here to lead them to
Jesus even though her words contradict that of Jesus and the Word of God.
Even though she comes as light she does not leave her old habits and
desires for darkness. But all her cunningness is no match to our Omnipotent
God, who exposes her to those who abide in His Word, follow His
Commandments and loving His Law.

She is not Satan but the most powerful tool of Satan and in the book of
Revelation she is given the name Jezebel which means ‘chaste’, who comes as
a messenger of God but seduces His people to go against God’s instructions
and to do idolatry.

One simple deceit I will expose here which has a great hold and bondage on
almost all Catholics. She in the name of prayer has given her disciple a
set of beads called a rosary. She time and again comes in various forms to
people reminding them that they should not give up the rosary and that it
is the way to salvation.

If one understands prayer which is a communication to God which requires a
heart to heart communication this set of prayers tells them not to think
and know what they are saying but concentrate only on her. When Jesus was
asked how to pray He did give a set of words and say repeat it. He gave a
prayer and told them this is an example of how one should pray that is why
He said pray like this.

Even though the words of this woman go against the Word of God and mock
God, yet people do not realize it. The Bible says Lord Jesus is the only
way to Heaven yet they believe her words that she also is the way to
salvation and still do not realize she contradicts Jesus.

Jesus tells us only through Baptism in Him and in the Holy Spirit can a
person enter the Kingdom of God, that by just believing but also by abiding
in His Word (with the help of the Holy Spirit) only will we enter Heaven.
And she on the other hand tells her people that by dedication to her and by
narrating the rosary continually one will get to enter Heaven.

She calls herself the Queen of Heaven even though she is hated by God. She
calls herself Mother of God even though she is His creation. People due to
lack of knowledge of scriptures glorify the Mary of the Bible and confuse
this character as her. God has time and again sent His messengers to warn
His people of her ways but people being stubborn do not leave worshipping
her.

Today’s message says be aware of her, for her children will be consumed by
fire and will not have the gift of life.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, we pray for all your people who are deceived by this strange woman,
that by your mercy their eyes be opened, that they abide by your word and
reject the seductress. That they do not lose the salvation which Jesus
Christ has made available...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Proverbs 2:16-19

16 To deliver thee from the strange woman, from the stranger flattereth
with her words;

17 Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of
her God.

18 For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.

19 None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths
of life.

Proverbs 6:23 - For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and
reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

Ashtoreth – means star (under whose name the Roman feast of Easter is
celebrated)

1 Kings 11:5 - For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the
Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.

Queen of Heaven - a title still used by the so called ‘Mother Mary’

Jeremiah 44:16-17

16 As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the LORD,
we will not hearken unto thee.

17 But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own
mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink
offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and
our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for
then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.

Chiun - means the image / support

Amos 5:25-27

25 Have ye offered unto me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness
forty years, O house of Israel?

26 But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images,
the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.

27 Therefore will I cause you to go into captivity beyond Damascus, saith
the LORD, whose name is The God of hosts.

Star of Remphan - means star of the sea (Star of Saturn also known by the
Syrians as Venus or Ketesh meaning concentrated)

Acts 7:40-43

40 Saying unto Aaron, Make us gods to go before us: for as for this Moses,
which brought us out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.

41 And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice unto the
idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands.

42 Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it
is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye
offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in
the wilderness?

43 Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god
Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away
beyond Babylon.

Diana - means complete light

Acts 19:34-37

34 But when they knew that he was a Jew, all with one voice about the
space of two hours cried out, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.

35 And when the townclerk had appeased the people, he said, Ye men of
Ephesus, what man is there that knoweth not how that the city of the
Ephesians is a worshipper of the great goddess Diana, and of the image
which fell down from Jupiter?

36 Seeing then that these things cannot be spoken against, ye ought to be
quiet, and to do nothing rashly.

37 For ye have brought hither these men, which are neither robbers of
churches, nor yet blasphemers of your goddess.

Ezekiel 20:7,8

7 Then said I unto them, Cast ye away every man the abominations of his
eyes, and defile not yourselves with the idols of Egypt: I am the LORD your
God.

8 But they rebelled against me, and would not hearken unto me: they did
not every man cast away the abominations of their eyes, neither did they
forsake the idols of Egypt: then I said, I will pour out my fury upon them,
to accomplish my anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.

Ezekiel 20:39 As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord GOD; Go
ye, serve ye every one his idols, and hereafter also, if ye will not
hearken unto me: but pollute ye my holy name no more with your gifts, and
with your idols.

Ezekiel 23:3 And they committed whoredoms in Egypt; they committed
whoredoms in their youth: there were their breasts pressed, and there they
bruised the teats of their virginity.

Joshua 24:14 Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and
in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side
of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD.

Luke 2:34-35

34 And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this
child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a
sign which shall be spoken against;

35 (Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the
thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.

R.D SOUZA Saved by faith - Page 20 Empty Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Post  Admin on Sat 12 Jan 2013, 12:50 am

Are you ready with your sword?****
** **
Nehemiah 4:18 - For the builders, everyone had his sword girded by his
side, and so builded. And he that sounded the trumpet was by me.****

** **

In the book of Nehemiah the Israelite men were building the wall of
Jerusalem and while they were doing the building each one of them had a
sword girded by his side. We also read Nehemiah kept the man with the
trumpet besides him so that at the right time he would call for blowing the
trumpet to warn all and then they would draw their swords and be ready to
fight.****

** **

As I grew in the Lord I was told scriptures are like a sword and we need to
speak them to our situation to overcome them. I know many people who keep
repeating scriptures continually in time of problems and they do this over
long periods of time. When I came to understand faith I saw that this and
faith do not go together. Then my question came, are scriptures a sword?****

** **

The first mention of a sword is in the book of Genesis when God drives man
out of the Garden of Eden and places a flaming sword to keep man out of the
garden. What is interesting to note is that God placed the sword only to
the east of the garden, what about the west, north and south, God not
bothered to protect it from those directions. God is not that bad a
strategist that He would ignore or make such a blunder. ****

** **

God knew what ever could enter Eden would come only from the east and form
nowhere else for He put not only a flaming sword but also Cherubs and when
we know what a Cherub is, and then we would understand what God was keeping
out of the Garden and the Garden is. [Note there are 2 gardens in Genesis 1
and 2 not 1 as people perceive, and Adam had access to both].****

** **

Thus the flaming sword was not a real sword or what people show in
illustration but symbolic. It was His Word that would destroy anyone who
would go against it. We know scriptures are the Word of God but we should
understand God could have used the term spear or arrow instead of a sword
for they too kill but He chose to use s sword to symbolize His Word.****

** **

Unlike a spear or arrow a sword needs to be held by hand always. One does
not throw swords but holds them during a battle. One need to be in control
of it and treat it like it is an extension of one's hand. ****

** **

When I saw people speaking scriptures to their problem they were throwing
swords at the enemy and the chances of the sword hitting the enemy or doing
much harm is very less hence the results are not good.****

** **

The Lord is telling is unless we do not have hold or understanding of His
Word it will not become an effect weapon for battle against our situations
or enemy. We need to speak scriptures not to the enemy but to ourselves so
that we understand them and get hold of them and once we get hold of the
sword the victory is already won for the enemy very rarely dares to
confront in such situations.* ***

** **

People lack understanding of scriptures therefore fail in the result, like
in the case Jesus said faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains
yet we see people struggle to move small rocks even though they have great
faith. That is because they do not understand what Jesus spoke. Jesus chose
a mustard seed as an example not because it was the smallest seed but
because of its unique property. Unlike other seeds the mustard seed has no
air pocket in it. Jesus wanted to say even if our faith is small but if is
pure (without doubt) we will be able to achieve greatest of things.****

** **

The Lord is telling us today not to use His Word like a spear or arrow but
as a sword. Even if our sword is not big but small, yet we will be able to
bring down great giants with it. So let us concentrate on understanding His
Word getting deeper into it. He is also saying the trumpet is with Him and
when He blows it we need to be ready with our swords and a time for this
may be at hand.****

** **

** **

[Prayer Starter]****

Lord, Your Kingdom is not about quantity but of quality that is why the
gate to your Kingdom is narrow and only a few enter. Lord, help us be more
effect Christians and not to be popular Christians. Help us pursue flame
and not fame, a flame that cleanses, that purifies. Lord, as we speak your
Word unto ourselves help us get hold of it and be armed with it...****

** **

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.****

** **

** **

[Reference Scriptures]* ***

Genesis 1:7-8****

7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into
his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.****

8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in [of] Eden; and there he
put the man whom he had formed.****

** **

Genesis 3:23-24****

23 Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till
the ground from whence he was taken.****

24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of
Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way
of the tree of life.****

Is Paul anti-Christ?
Psalms 119:165 - Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing
shall offend them.

Some days back I came to know of a person who thought Paul was
anti-Christ at first I was taken back how this person being a Christian
would entertain such a thought but I found he was not alone there were a
few others who also of the same mind set. I checked with the things they
found of dispute between Paul and Jesus:-

I found most of them foolish beyond words and mostly mischief done by
quoting half scriptures or assuming things without proof.

There were just 3 accusations that I could find worth writing on.

Accusation no 1 - Paul preached another Gospel for he did not get the
Gospel from the other disciples or from Jesus for he had personally not
met Jesus.

Galatians 1:11-12

11But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me
is not after man.

12For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the
revelation of Jesus Christ.

Firstly we need to understand the word Gospel means Good News and the
Bible uses this term with reference to the Good News of salvation
through Jesus Christ. It does not use this term with anything else. The
term 'another Gospel' refers to someone preaching the news of salvation
not through Christ but something else.

Gospel is just the basic more like a trailer. The real movie is the Word
of God. We need to know that Paul was a student of Law he had done very
high level studies of scriptures and was a student of the topmost
teacher of the Jews at that time. Yet he had not known that all the
scriptures were concerning Jesus Christ, nor did he have the true
understanding of the scriptures. It was in his encounter with Jesus
Christ that it was revealed to him the connection of scriptures to
Christ. When Paul came to know of this he immediately started to obey
Christ. He was baptized not only in water but also received the Holy
Spirit by the laying of hands by Ananias.

The Gospel which Paul preached was the Good News of salvation through
Jesus Christ and what Jesus preached was the same for Jesus said He was
the only way to the Father, so also the other disciples preached the
same Gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Accusation no 2 - Paul contradicts Jesus

Matthew 23: 9 - And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is
your Father, which is in heaven.

1 Corinthians 4: 15 - For though ye have ten thousand instructors in
Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have
begotten you through the gospel.

Based on the above scriptures they conclude that Paul contradicted Jesus
by calling himself a spiritual father while Jesus said call no man your
father.

One should realized when Jesus said call no man your father it did not
mean the English word father for that would cause Jesus to go against
the 10 commandments of which the Lord said honour your father and
mother. If we do not call our father 'father&# 39; then that would mean
dishonouring them. When Jesus used the word father the Greek word
'pater&# 39; has 2 other meanings one is creator and the other provider.

We are born of our parents yet they are not our creators. The same with
our provisions even though the parents work and earn for the provision
of the family yet they cannot claim to be the providers of the family
for all provisions come from God and the parents are just vessels
through whom God provides.

Now coming to the last and most important part which is also part of our
message for today.

Accusation no 3 - Paul wrote a lot against the law and on the other hand
we have scripture where Jesus speaks of upholding the law, also that
Jesus fulfilled the law and did not come to abolish it.

The Greek word used for law is 'nomos&# 39;. The primary meaning of this word
means a parcel, especially food or grazing to animals. It simply means a
package or established or confined set of things that are consumed by
man. Like food is consumed by man so also rules and regulations are for
man and are defined. This word could also mean things like traditions,
set beliefs, thus includes all things that have been defined for man to
follow.

Luke was very careful with the use of this word and thus at many places
specified what he was referring to. When people did anything in the name
of law it is important to know who set these defined set of rules.

When the term Mosaic Law is used it has 2 different meanings one is the
Law the Lord gave through Moses and the other what the Jews did in the
name of Moses.

For example the Jews did thousands of things in the name of Sabbath Day
but Jesus did nothing what they thought as the Law concerning Sabbath
that is why they were very angry against Jesus, and they Bible says
Jesus did not any Law of God for He was without blemish.

Paul used the word 'law' very loosely in the start and it is hard to
understand what he referred to without understanding the context. That
is why we see at some times Paul condemns the law and sometimes is pro
law. In Romans chapter 7 Paul takes the pain to define the law he is
referring to and its understanding.

Luke on the other hand uses the term Law of the Lord when he was
referring to the Law given by the Lord through Moses. In Acts Stephen
accused the Jews of being far from God and of glorifying Moses more than
God to the state of making Moses a god therefore they accused Stephen of
blasphemy against Moses. We see that was the reason God hid the body of
Moses after his death.

Today's message says clearly those who uphold the Law of the Lord will
have peace in their lives and nothing will come against them. We can see
this also written in other scriptures. We should know the Law of God is
good for us like food nourishes our body the Law builds us in
righteousness. Since Law is to do with righteousness we automatically
have fear of God since He hates unrighteousness. But there is one thing
we need to understand, when we walk in love of the Lord we will walk in
His Law not out of fear but out of love. Thus for man true Love fulfils
the Law and is thus above the Law.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, we thank You for your Law, for without the Law we would not have
been able to know You. Your Law exposed sin and helped us to know how
far we are from You. It also opened the door for your Love to be
manifested abiding by the Law. You gave the Law and You paid the price
so that through Love and by the Law we become your Sons again, for it is
written your Law will be written in our hearts...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Romans 3:26-31

26To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be
just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

27Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay:
but by the law of faith.

28Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the
deeds of the law.

29Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes,
of the Gentiles also:

30Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith,
and uncircumcision through faith.

31Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we
establish the law.

Romans 4:13-16

13For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to
Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness
of faith.

14For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the
promise made of none effect:

15Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no
transgression.

16Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the
promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the
law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the
father of us all,

Romans 7

Romans 8:2-5

2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free
from the law of sin and death.

3For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh,
God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin,
condemned sin in the flesh:

4That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk
not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

5For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but
they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

Romans 9:31 - But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness,
hath not attained to the law of righteousness.

Romans 13:10 - Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is
the fulfilling of the law.

Psalms 91:4-7

4He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou
trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

5Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow
that flieth by day;

6Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the
destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand;
but it shall not come nigh thee.

His Bride is suffering because..

Lamentation 1:1, 2, 3 - How doth the city sit solitary, that was full of
people! how is she become as a widow! she that was great among the
nations, and princess among the provinces, how is she become tributary!
She weepeth sore in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks: among
all her lovers she hath none to comfort her: all her friends have dealt
treacherously with her, they are become her enemies. Judah is gone into
captivity because of affliction [poverty], and because of great
servitude [bondage]: she dwelleth among the heathen, she findeth no
rest: all her persecutors overtook her between the straits.

Today's scripture talks of the state of Judah. Jesus is called the Lion
of Judah but we see He by His Spirit drew His people out of Judaism
(Jews) and into Christianity, as per the Jewish Judah He had nothing
much to do but only an historical connection. So we see the Judah of
which Jesus is called the lion is not the Jewish Judah.

Like Judah is symbolic so also is the term lion. People have over
exaggerated the animal lion making it the strongest animal, the bravest
animal, the fearless animal etc. but in reality it is not. This is again
a case of Bible Image study and by it we understand Judah symbolizes the
Church that is in process of becoming perfect and Jesus as lion of Judah
symbolizes the righteousness of the Church. Whatever good we do
overweighs the wrong we do. It is only because of Christ that we as a
body come before the Lord and are given audience before His glorious Throne.

Today's message puts the state of the Church and the reason why. It says
she is struggling, lost among the many religions and people come against
her and persecuting her because of simply 2 reasons. One reason given is
poverty and second bondage.

Poverty here does not mean worldly riches but spiritual riches. The
first reason the Church is suffering is because it does not know God and
His Kingdom. This is because of its lack of understanding and wisdom it
is poor. We may look around and see many great theologians and people
with great knowledge of the Bible but when God reveals things then we
see how far these people were from the Truth. Paul knew so much yet he
knew he was far from the complete knowledge and had a long way to go.
After Paul and the initial Church we have gone into great corruption of
understanding with the onward of the Catholic Church for many things
that are not of God and have found their place into the teachings and
also caused rituals to be followed by the Church.

The bondage which the scripture talks of is the rituals and worldly
teachings that have got a hold of the Church. Even though Believers came
out of the Catholic Church yet they carried a part of the Catholic
Church alone with them, even today there many things which are to do
with Catholicism and not Biblical which the Churches follow.

The Lord is telling us we have forsaken Him and the Truth to pursue our
own agenda and there are very few people who really know Him that dwell
in His Church. His Church which is supposed to shine with His glory is
seen as a destitute.

To change things we need to work on these 2 areas one is understand
God's Word as it is supposed to be, in spirit and not in letter. Second
everything we do should be confirmed with scriptures and we should not
do anything that may seem harmless or may seem worldly beneficial but
non-scriptural.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, You called your people to be a holy nation. You drew your people
out from the rest of the world and asked them to be different from the
people of the world. We may live in this world yet we are not people of
this world, we are citizens of your Kingdom and await the coming of your
Kingdom in its true glory. Lord we pray that the leaders of the Church
have a change of heart. That You bless them with wisdom and courage to
take bold steps and steps on the path You have set...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Hosea 5:14-15

14For I will be unto Ephraim [means double blessing] as a lion, and as a
young lion [comes from the word atonement] to the house of Judah: I,
even I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue him.

15I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence,
and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.

Hosea 13:6-8

6According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and
their heart was exalted; therefore have they forgotten me.

7Therefore I will be unto them as a lion: as a leopard by the way will I
observe them:

8I will meet them as a bear that is bereaved of her whelps, and will
rend the caul of their heart, and there will I devour them like a lion:
the wild beast shall tear them.

Revelation 5:5 - And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold,
the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open
the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

R.D SOUZA Saved by faith - Page 20 Empty Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Put to death for an ox!

Exodus 21:29 - But if the ox were wont to push with his horn in time
past, and it hath been testified to his owner, and he hath not kept him
in, but that he hath killed a man or a woman; the ox shall be stoned,
and his owner also shall be put to death.

We point to the Sharia Law of the Muslims for being barbaric, but we
need to understand the Arabs during the time of Mohammad were of that
nature; in fact Mohammad reined them by bringing some improvement to
their lives. The world of Mohammad being the Arabic region and its
lifestyle, the law is suo motu inapplicable to any other region or era.
Prima facie every Islamic country tampers with the Sharia law and still
claims to be implementing the Sharia.

Coming to the Bible what do we have to say about the Mosaic laws? Like
in today's scripture a man who is warned about the behaviour of his ox
and does not take precaution should be put to death alone with the ox if
the ox has killed someone. I do not think this law is applicable even
with the Jews today. So is the Mosaic Law also like the Sharia
applicable only to those people at that time and era? Most Christians
and theologians believe that it is, therefore ignore these scriptures today.

Understand the Law was given to Moses by the Lord and the Law of God
never changes. That also does not mean a person should be put to death
if his animal kills someone.

Jesus and the Disciples always pointed out that the Jews never
worshipped God or understood what Moses spoke. It was only during my
fourth stage of Bible study I realized Jesus did not change anything
what the Lord gave through Moses but only added grace to it. But you
would say there a sky and earth difference between what Moses spoke and
what Jesus did. That is what we see when we go by the letter but when we
really understand it we realize Jesus only brought out the true
understanding of what the Lord spoke through Moses.

This same condition was a given by Jesus but in a different way (Matthew
18:6) - 'But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe
in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his
neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea'.

One would say what is the relation between the two? It is only in Bible
Word study and Image study that one would understand the relationship
between this two. That is why John wrote (John 1:17) 'for the law was
given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ'.

In the Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke, Jesus gives us the true
understanding of the Law of God given through Moses. What Jesus added
was only grace to the consequence of the Law, to all those who believe
in Him.

The Lord is telling us today there are many reasons for which we would
have been put to dire punishment, thing we do not take as serious but
because we believe in the grace that comes through Jesus Christ, we are
saved from the consequence of them. But the time we reject His Word we
are indirectly rejecting Christ and hence would be liable to the
consequence.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord Jesus, You alone were Christ and in whole the Spirit of God dwelled
in whole. When you left earth You gave all us a token of the Spirit of
Truth so that we start to understand your Word as You did and by
becoming your disciple we grow in your Spirit and thus in understanding.
Holy Spirit, we pray You open the minds of your people and remove the
blindfolds the teachings of world have put on their eyes...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scripture]

Luke 2:23(As it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that
openeth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord;)

Luke 24:44And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto
you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which
were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the
psalms, concerning me.

John 7:19Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the
law? Why go ye about to kill me?

John 7:21-24

21Jesus answered and said unto them, I have done one work, and ye all
marvel.

22Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of
Moses, but of the fathers;) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man.

23If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of
Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a
man every whit whole on the sabbath day?

24Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

John 8:5-7

5Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what
sayest thou?

6This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But
Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though
he heard them not.

7So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto
them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

Matthew 5:17, 21-22

17Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not
come to destroy, but to fulfil.

21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not
kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:

22But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a
cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his
brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall
say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

Bring the dead bones to life

Ezekiel 37:10 - So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came
into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding
great army.

In one of our last messages was about wisdom and knowledge. It is only
through God given wisdom we can have the true understanding of
scriptures. I was trying many a times to join a Bible college but for
silly reasons I was kept away, but later I thanked God for doing that.
It is sad the way people programed in these colleges to accept teachings
without understanding them to its depth. They give more importance to
what some Tom, Dick and Harry said than what God says through
scriptures. They have made the Word of God to words of God. I thank God
for keeping me away.

I have shared before about the four stages of Bible study which are:-

1) Commentaries - going into the theological and historical study of a
biblical event or set of scriptures

2) Cross reference - understanding scriptures by their internal relationship

3) Word study - studying every word according to the original (Hebrew,
Aramaic or Greek) text and its grammar and relationship with the same
word in other scriptures using a Concordance and Lexicon

4) Image study, Bible Codes, Bible Numerics and other studies - this
stage includes various scriptural ways in understanding scriptures, they
have their roots in the scriptures for God uses these ways. There are
many examples for them in the Bible itself.

The first 3 stages of Bible study are very common and considered
standard, but as the Lord took me to the fourth stage and started to
reveal it to me I was a little unsteady in the start thinking what if
this is not Biblical? We need to discern spirits and the only way is
through scriptures and it was only when I confirmed them in scriptures
that I started getting deeper into these studies. I am sure of Image
Study, Bible codes and Bible Numerics but if any other they need to be
discerned and confirmed through scriptures. People should not jump
stages but need go from the basic to stage up else one can be destroyed
for all understanding should have a firm foundation.

These 4 stages are given in Isaiah, for the Lord says He will teach us
knowledge and to understand doctrines by these 4 stages.

Isaiah 28:9-11

9Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand
doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the
breasts. [those who have accepted the Gospel]

10For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept [Commentaries] ;
line upon line, line upon line [Cross Reference]; here a little, and
there a little[Word Study]:

11For with stammering lips and another tongue [Image Study, Bible Codes,
Bible Numerics and various other] will he speak to this people.

Stammering lips or lisping manner is used by parents to communicate with
infants. The words by themselves or what a parent speaks are not
understood but by the visual actions of the parent the infant
understands what the parent wants to communicate.

In Genesis we read God created all of creation in images of 'His kind'
or 'their kind'. God did all things with wisdom like an artist who
conveys a message through His art work. God allows us to understand the
spirit world through His creation.

When God explained the hidden to Daniel He communicated to them through
dreams and gave him the ability to understand the symbols (images) in
the dreams. The same was the case with Joseph (son of Jacob) and John
(of Revelation).

I have taken this matter up for today's message speaks of bones and it
is only through Bible Image Study we can understand it.

Paul puts the Word is a double edged sword that separates the bone joint
from the marrow.

Our bones give shape to our natural body like our nature or inner-man
gives shape to our spiritual body. Jeremiah says he could not stop from
prophesying for God put a fire in his bones. God made man and woman in
Genesis 1 in the image of God, but when He created woman in the flesh He
created her from the bone of man therefore came the institute of
marriage and the Church when they became one.

When God created man he became a living being when his spirit was put in
the body. Bible also says life is in the blood and we know blood is
formed in the marrow therefore the marrow symbolizes the spirit. It was
by this understanding I had written many years back that science would
use the marrow to heal man and this we see happening today. We read of
organs being created and almost all diseases being healed with the help
of stem cells drawn from bone marrow. To find the accurate age of a
person one needs to test the bone.

Today's message the Lord instructed Ezekiel to speak to the dead bones
and they came alive and formed a great army. The Lord is today telling
us too, the same that is to prophesy to the bones (inner-man) of the
congregation and they that are dead with come alive in Christ and form a
great Army of God.

When Jesus gave us authority He gave us authority to chase evil spirits,
heal sickness and heal weakness not only of the body but also of the
inner-man. So if we believe in Jesus and are baptized in Him, we have
the authority to speak to our bones our inner-man and that of the
congregation to bring them to become an Army of God. If we want to see
God glory in the Church let us this year daily spend time speaking to
the bones of the congregation and command them to come alive in the Name
of Jesus.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord the time of great harvesting is at hand and we see the things You
are doing to open opportunity for us to preach the message of life to
your lost sheep. But Lord the workers in the vineyard are few and most
of suffering from weakness of their inner-man, they are struggling over
small things. Lord we speak to the bones of the congregation and command
them to come to life in You. We command the coming into existence of
your Army...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Ezekiel 37:1-12

Luke 9:1 - Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them
power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.

Luke 10:1-17

Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak
any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire
shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.

Lamentations 1:13 - From above hath he sent fire into my bones, and it
prevaileth against them: he hath spread a net for my feet, he hath
turned me back: he hath made me desolate and faint all the day.

Genesis 1:26-27

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and
let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of
the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every
creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he
him; male and female created he them [him in plural].

Genesis 2:7, 21-23

7And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed
into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept:
and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

22And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman,
and brought her unto the man.

23And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh:
she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

Wisdom and Honour

Proverbs 15: 33 - The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and
before honour [glory] is humility [meekness].

Today's message talks of 2 things wisdom and honour / glory.

People confuse wisdom to knowledge or understanding. Wisdom although
related to both is still neither of them. Wisdom is simple words is the
ability to work on knowledge to derive the right understanding. There
are 2 ways to grow in wisdom one which is by gaining knowledge and
letting experience to conclude the right understanding. This is the
trial and fail method, one cannot be sure of the right result, but the
results improve over time and efforts. This is the reason the Bible says
to respect or give hear to the words of the elders for they have the
experience.

True wisdom come only from God for this does not use the trial and fail
method but the perfect result and today's message says fear of God is
the start / basic steps of wisdom. Fear of God does means to be afraid
of God but means to know who God is and that includes being afraid of
going against His Will. God is centric to all things and thus knowing
God allows us to know the things He has created. But then since God is
infinite so also the wisdom that comes from Him is also infinite.

Coming to the second part of today's message about glory, we are told
before glory, comes humility. Humility is mistaken to surrendering one's
self to the wishes of the other that is not the case. Being humble does
not mean being a door mate, being humble means to be a step of the
ladder, being instrument in lifting others. It does not require us to
draw back or lower ourselves but concentrates on pushing others in
front, in this process we too grow. A perfect example is a teacher who
labours hard to teach his students to be better than himself. In this
process he too grows and thus every batch of student is better than the
batch before.

The Bible tells us to receive, first we need to give. Thus to know God
we need to share Him unto others. To receive glory we need to glorify
Him, for it is in Him and by Him that we too will experience glory.

Today's message in simple words tells us to have wisdom and honour we
need to share the Lord and glorify Him.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, You blessed Solomon with all the wisdom of the world which no man
would ever have but yet he landed being the greatest fool for he wanted
to glorify himself with all his riches. Lord, we pray we understand to
be full we need to break ourselves and share ourselves like Christ did
and has asked us to do in His remembrance. Unless You are not in us
there is nothing valuable in us, and when we share You in us we too grow
and are always satisfied. Lord, teach us to share You to others...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Psalms 111:10 - The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good
understanding have all they that do [his commandments] : his praise
endureth for ever.

Proverbs 9:10 - The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the
knowledge of the holy is understanding.

1 Corinthians 10:16The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the
communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not
the communion of the body of Christ?

John 17:5 - And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with
the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

Fair damsel to please man

1 Kings 1:3 - So they sought for a fair damsel throughout all the coasts
of Israel, and found Abishag a Shunammite, and brought her to the king.

The world took note of what happened in Delhi to the 23year girl who is
named 'Braveheart&# 39; and 'Damini&# 39; (based on a store) by the media. What
caused all to take attention of the evil against women was not it being
a rape so much, but the brutality exercised. India has always been like
an ostrich hiding its head in the sand of culture, denying such things
happen in our country. After this incident most of the newspapers are
reporting almost half of their pages covering nothing but rapes,
molestations, abuses and injustice done on women.

What amused me was yesterday' s news article which stated the Delhi court
ruling that 'Quran allows polygamy, doesn't encourage it'. The person
who did such a ruling must have not read the Quran and the Hadiths, for
it states Muhammad had 11 to 13 wives (which the Islamic scholars are in
dispute) of these 2 died in his lifetime. What is amusing about him is
that it states every night Mohammad had sexual relationship with all his
nine wives, moving from one wife's bedroom to another' s. As a Muslim one
is called to follow Muhammad their prophet and I do not know if this
does not encourage polygamy then what does? This is apart from the
100plus women Mohammad had relationship with in their 'holy books'.

Across religions even though women are seen to be given honour and value
yet when we study them they turn out to be opposite to what they
picture. People do point out to scriptures in the Bible which show women
in poor light, but when we study them in depth we find God was
pro-women. People confuse between the spiritual messages with the
natural instructions.

In today's message we read about David being aged and not well, so his
ministers suggest that they get a beautiful young girl to keep him warm
since David would feel cold. They find such a girl named Abishag
originally from a place called Shunem, but we see the Bible says David
refrained from having sexual relationship with her. She did serve David
as a nurse and took care of him dedicatedly. People even theologians
mistake her as David's wife but without relationship a marriage is not
commenced according to the Bible and Jewish tradition. They confuse this
because Solomon kills Adonijah (another son of David) for asking for
Abishag to be his wife. The reason shown in the Bible is Solomon killed
Adonijad for treason towards the state (going against the throne of
Solomon). It so happens when David gave his word for Solomon to be King,
Abishag was witness to it and if Adonijah could manipulate Abishag then
the throne of Solomon would have been in danger. They forget also that
it was Solomon' s mother who brought the proposal of Adonijad wedding
Abishag to Solomon. Solomon being king after David had inherited all of
David including his servants.

David as a young man had weakness to women but over age and experience
though which the Lord took him, he overcame his weakness such that even
in his old age when men are sometimes said to behave like immature kids
in this matter, we see David behaved maturely and refrained from having
relationship with a very beautiful young woman like Abishag.

God made man and woman with purpose and even their bodies are designed
also with purpose. In animals and birds we see the male being the more
attractive of the two but in humans God made woman to be more attractive
than the man.

Man and woman coming together is called marriage, but animals coming
together is not called marriage. There are some animals who are more
loyal to their mate than most humans are yet we talk of human relationships.

Marriage is less earthly or natural and more Heavenly and spiritual. It
raises people's eyebrows when I make the statement 'real marriage
happens only among Believers and non-believers have just conceptual
agreements&# 39;.

Let us realize the reason and purpose God created us differently in this
world although in spirit there is no difference in us. Let this
understanding set us free from the lust of the flesh and overcome our
carnal minds.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, You made all things according to an image and it is written as
'their kind' and 'your [His] kind'. Lord, You know since corruption
would come in us we would be far from the spirit world, not knowing the
ABCD of the spirit world, so You designed everything for us to
understand the good and bad of the spirit world. Lord, we pray we be led
by your Spirit, walk in the spirit and overcome the temporary world of
the flesh...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

1 King 1:1-4

1 Now king David was old and stricken in years; and they covered him
with clothes, but he gat no heat.

2Wherefore his servants said unto him, Let there be sought for my lord
the king a young virgin: and let her stand before the king, and let her
cherish him, and let her lie in thy bosom, that my lord the king may get
heat.

3So they sought for a fair damsel throughout all the coasts of Israel,
and found Abishag a Shunammite, and brought her to the king.

4And the damsel was very fair, and cherished the king, and ministered to
him: but the king knew her not.

1 King 2:17-25

17And he said, Speak, I pray thee, unto Solomon the king, (for he will
not say thee nay,) that he give me Abishag the Shunammite to wife.

18And Bathsheba said, Well; I will speak for thee unto the king.

19Bathsheba therefore went unto king Solomon, to speak unto him for
Adonijah. And the king rose up to meet her, and bowed himself unto her,
and sat down on his throne, and caused a seat to be set for the king's
mother; and she sat on his right hand.

20Then she said, I desire one small petition of thee; I pray thee, say
me not nay. And the king said unto her, Ask on, my mother: for I will
not say thee nay.

21And she said, Let Abishag the Shunammite be given to Adonijah thy
brother to wife.

22And king Solomon answered and said unto his mother, And why dost thou
ask Abishag the Shunammite for Adonijah? ask for him the kingdom also;
for he is mine elder brother; even for him, and for Abiathar the priest,
and for Joab the son of Zeruiah.

23Then king Solomon sware by the LORD, saying, God do so to me, and more
also, if Adonijah have not spoken this word against his own life.

24Now therefore, as the LORD liveth, which hath established me, and set
me on the throne of David my father, and who hath made me an house, as
he promised, Adonijah shall be put to death this day.

25And king Solomon sent by the hand of Benaiah the son of Jehoiada; and
he fell upon him that he died.

Genesis 1:26-28

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and
let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of
the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every
creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he
him; male and female created he them [same word as 'him' in plural is
used here].

28And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and
multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over
the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living
thing that moveth upon the earth.

Genesis 2:7, 1-25

7And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed
into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I
will make him an help meet for him.

19And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field,
and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he
would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that
was the name thereof.

20And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to
every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet
for him.

21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept:
and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

22And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman,
and brought her unto the man.

23And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh:
she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

24Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall
cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

25And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

May the Lord strengthen us

Palms 57:1 - Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me! For my soul
trusts in You; And in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge,
Until these calamities have passed by.

The year 2012 passed and everyone is wishing each other a happy and
prosperous New Year, I wish I could do that. Yesterday at the eve
service I came to know I was not the only person who had received this
message, the preacher and many others he was connected to also received
the same message. I would not like to scare people and cause panic but
caution and get people prepared for it.

God has been merciful to me to let know of major calamities before they
happen. The calamity set this year was first warned about 3 years
before. At that time I knew it was bad but did not realize how bad it
was, it was only a few months back I got a feeling of its seriousness.

I was warned about something happening and had a feeling it would have
to do with America, all these people the preacher spoke to, also had the
same message.

Some people were waiting for dooms day on 21st Dec.; this event is not a
dooms day but would not be less for the people of that area. The reason
I got the warning from the Lord, was even though the event happens far
away it will be so strong that the city I live in Mumbai will also get
affected by it.

People who have been receiving my messages since long would recollect in
April 2010 (24/10/12) I wrote about a warning, today I am referring to
the same for it is due this year. I also have an approximate time of
this event which is around October / November. The reason I am taking it
serious, for that vision had other things which have already come to
pass in an incredible way so this should not be taken likely.

I would only pray for my brothers and sisters that today's message keep
them though this disaster. Even you are awake or asleep what is
important that you be in Christ. I would request that they be always
prepared to sleep in the Lord unto His coming.

The Lord also explained the season that this is happening. It is not
about the sinners there or the evil happening there, for there are other
places worst but as He puts it, it is all to do with His church in
America. The Lord is saying this church is worshipping God in high
places. It is doings things beyond the Word of God by adding unto it
things that God hates.

I only pray that those people realize, repent and turn to the Lord
before it is too late. That they do not overcome the Spirit of the Lord
for then there is no hope.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, You love your people dearly and therefore time and again send
warning to them through your messengers. Lord, we pray for our brothers
and sisters to whom this warning is that they do not harden their hearts
but turn to You and be saved...

We make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

I take this occasion to pray that the Lord strengthens you and your
family members through this year and may His grace be always on your
lives. God bless

Prophecies
Habakkuk 2: 1,2,3 - I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the
tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall
answer when I am reproved. And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the
vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall
speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely
come, it will not tarry.

It is just 2 more days for this year to end and the New Year to begin.
Everyone would be anxious about what the year 2013 would have in store
for them. Many would be making great plans to execute in the next year
and the usual making resolutions for the year.

I would not like to dampen people's hopes but as for what knowledge I
have the next year is going to shake up people's lives a lot. Before
2010 came the Lord had given a message of a change of era, a warning of
the things that would come. 2013 will take this to the next step. That
does not mean all will experience turmoil, the message I received was
clear that the wicked will see great disasters, their bows and arrows
will be broken.

Today's message talks of prophecies of things foretold. With regards to
prophecies we need to know they are effective in 2 ways. One which we
can bring to pass or make them happen, the power to fulfil these
prophecies is with us, by the power of our faith or believing in them,
like the salvation or the blessings of Abraham, these prophesies will
come alive in us only if we believe in them. But then there are the
other prophecies which we have no control over which the Lord says will
happen in its appointed time.

When God gave His Word all things were put into motion and God being
Omnipresent (in space and time), having knowledge of all things gave His
Word. For Him what He spoke is already done or completed, since He has
already been there but we unlike Him have not reached that place yet,
thus for us it is yet to happen.

People may think they can pray their way and cancel these events. We
need to understand what God has spoken even though He being omnipotent
cannot take back His Word for what He has spoken for Him has already
being done. Yes, there are incidents where in very specific events have
been delayed on request and supplication but it did come to pass. But
that does not tell us to lose hope for even though these events happen
the Lord says He would take us through them without letting us being
consumed.

So let us believe and bring to pass the prophecies that the Lord spoke
unto us and regarding those which the Lord said would happen at an
appointed time, let us await them at their set time.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, what You have said You surely bring to pass, in fact what You have
already been accomplished. When we walk in faith it is not with a hope
of victory but knowing the victory has already been accomplished we just
do the needful. Lord, we know when we are in your hands even though
storms will come, the boat will rock, but the boat will not overturn for
You too are in our boat. Lord, we pray your people are strengthen in
spirit...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Dwell in the Promised Land forever

Psalms 37:29 - The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein
for ever.

Before I start with today's message let me clear some points. In the
Bible we see Israel was promised a land of milk and honey. Here let me
ask a question, does a land give milk or honey? Milk comes from cattle
and we see Abraham took the cattle along with him to the land promised
to him, in other words he was taking the milk manufacturers with him.
Regarding honey, the land promised did not have some exceptional factor
that promoted bees to bread in very large numbers. Now if people argue
it was just a phrase symbolizing a land rich with natural resources,
then note that some tribes refused to cross over the Jordan River unto
the Promised Land because they found that land rich in natural resources
and Moses nearly pulled them up for this.

From the time of Abraham till date the Israelites have never got hold
of the land, does it mean God is incapable to meet His promise even
after 4000 years, is His Hand short in driving the 'enemy' or handling
'His people'. We also need to note that the 5 'evil' tribes that
occupied the land were descendants of Canaan and included others too,
yet the Lord chose to call this land only by the 5 tribes.

The grandest moment of Israel rule was during the time of David, even
though Solomon was famous for being rich and wise yet his kingdom faced
financial problems and rebellion. If we see scriptures David never had
any organized plan to capture the territory defined to Abraham or Moses.
Even though His Kingdom expanded beyond in some areas yet he ignores
those which were not within his rule and part of the 'promised land' and
preferred to have some places a treaty or understanding between the
descendants of Canaan. Among all the Israelite rulers David had good
knowledge of the Kingdom of God; he also had great Men of God with him
to guide him on these factors yet he never pursued a marked territory.
The same was the story with Joshua.

So we see the Promised Land itself was symbolic as was the factors milk
and honey. We can understand milk from Paul's letters. He puts milk as
basic understanding of God's Kingdom. Like a mother feeds her infant
similarly God feeds us milk when we are spiritually small.

Honey as we know comes from flowers and one needs to know honey is one
edible substance that does not get spoilt by itself. Man has found honey
kept in Egyptians tombs for thousands of years and yet edible.

To understand honey scripturally one needs to understand Proverbs 18:21.
I have written about this before but will try to put it briefly here.

People think the power of life and death is in the tongue which directly
is wrong. The later part of the scripture says 'they that love it will
eat the fruit thereof'. If someone comes and curses you, that does not
mean what that person said will happen to you, that person is not God.
Even what a Man of God says if not from the Lord, that will not happen
to you.

The scripture says the power of life and death is not in the tongue
itself but the 'fruit thereof'. Understand, words do not affect us but
when we pollenate or meditate on words we can receive or be affected by
what they say. In other words what we believe in affects us.

Words are like flowers when we pollenate or meditate on them those
flowers become fruits.Flowers (words) that come from the Lord bear good
fruits when pollenate and flowers (words) which are carnal or evil bear
poisonous fruits. It is not the flower so much but the source which it
comes from that matter.

Honey is the extract of flowers symbolizing the right, unadulterated
understanding of the Word of God.

In today's message the Lord is telling us those who live their lives
according to the Lord will only dwell in His understanding both basic
and perfect.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, man has been trying to study your Word using his wisdom but even
after centuries has failed and therefore confusion reigns between men.
The only way to understand your Word is by living it and to live it we
cannot do it without your Spirit. Holy Spirit, led us into living a life
according to the Lord and led us to know and dwell in your Kingdom...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Exodus 3:7-8

7 And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people
which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their
taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;

8And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians,
and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto
a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites,
and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites,
and the Jebusites.

Numbers 14:8 - If the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into
this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey.

Proverbs 18:21 - Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they
that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Judges 3:3Namely, five lords of the Philistines, and all the Canaanites,
and the Sidonians, and the Hivites that dwelt in mount Lebanon, from
mount Baalhermon unto the entering in of Hamath.

2 Samuel 24:7And came to the strong hold of Tyre, and to all the cities
of the Hivites, and of the Canaanites: and they went out to the south of
Judah, even to Beersheba.

1 Kings 9:20And all the people that were left of the Amorites, Hittites,
Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, which were not of the children of
Israel,

Joshua 1:10-16

10 Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying,

11Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you
victuals; for within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in
to possess the land, which the LORD your God giveth you to possess it.

12And to the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to half the tribe of
Manasseh, spake Joshua, saying,

13Remember the word which Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you,
saying, The LORD your God hath given you rest, and hath given you this land.

14Your wives, your little ones, and your cattle, shall remain in the
land which Moses gave you on this side Jordan; but ye shall pass before
your brethren armed, all the mighty men of valour, and help them;

15Until the LORD have given your brethren rest, as he hath given you,
and they also have possessed the land which the LORD your God giveth
them: then ye shall return unto the land of your possession, and enjoy
it, which Moses the LORD'S servant gave you on this side Jordan toward
the sunrising.

16 And they answered Joshua, saying, All that thou commandest us we will
do, and whithersoever thou sendest us, we will go.

The Lord is my Shepherd

Psalms 144:1,2 - Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my
hands to war, and my fingers to fight: My goodness, and my fortress; my
high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who
subdueth [moderates] my people under me.

Let me share something I rarely shared with people. Very long time back,
about 25 years back when I was yet a Catholic, a namesake Christian,
believing in a religion like the worldly people and was far from knowing
God. I had gone to place like a retreat center called Tabor in Mumbai.
My father had taken me along with my other family members mainly because
my brother in law and sister were facing a great tribulation in their
lives. At this place although I was not close to God yet the Lord gave
me a vision for the first time (even the preacher on stage mentioned
about it). The things I saw in that vision I only understood many years
later, almost 18 years later when I was baptized in Spirit in the Lord.

In the vision the Lord showed me my great harvest and how the Lord would
use me to bring them unto His Holy Mountain. The harvest was so great
that at that time I would just not believe it would be possible in any
means, but today I know the Lord is working in me and through me so
greatly that I can see the coming of my harvest. People may not know me
but yet the Lord has used me to impact their lives.

Today is a special day for me and the Lord has never failed to do
something extraordinary for me on this day every year. Today I had yet
not prayed and asked for the Lord for this coming year for myself and as
I picked the message for the day for all I was moved, for the Lord was
tell speaking to me directly. This message could also be for those who
have prayed to the Lord asking Him to speak to you today.

What touched me most in today's message are the last words 'He moderates
the people He has given unto me'. We like foolish people worry about
those whom we go to preach and minister to. We go with the Lord but then
we do the craziest things like telling the Lord to stand back while we
try to handle the situation, or advising the Lord on how the situation
needs to be handled.

In my minister years I have experienced the craziest of situations, I
have done things (as instructed by the Lord) which are just
unimaginable. I have seen His Hand so strong with me, so much that I
really feel at times the Lord is making a mistake with choosing an
unworthy person like me. Last Sunday the Lord spoke to me about this
during the Sunday service and told me about Moses. How He allowed Moses
to be taken as an infant unto the Egyptians. He grew up doing all the
pagan things of the Egyptians yet the eyes of the Lord were on him.
Moses did not choose his destination but yet the Lord had a purpose of
taking him through it. Moses knew more of life of Egyptian than most
Egyptian at that time did. But the moment Moses' heart moved to the real
Lord, the Lord moved into his life and worked in him, and through him
the Lord did the greatest of wonders the Bible records.

The Lord is speaking to those whose hearts are truly seeking Him, today
can be your day, when the Lord starts changing your life and fulfilling
the purpose He made you. For this He will draw you away from the world
and take you through a desert, transform you and bring you back with
power and authority. If you are ready, tell the Lord 'take my hand and
lead me, I will go wherever You take me, I may not understand but my
trust is in you for I know when You are with me I will have victory walk
before me'.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, what is man that You take note of him. We are no more than an
insect or a worm before You but yet You love us so much and call us
Sons. You have kept things unimaginable by any human mind, and You are
teaching us how to value it. Lord, we thank You for everything, from the
smallest to the greatest thing You have done in our lives. As we move
ahead we know You are with us, and as Moses said if You do not lead us
we do not want to go. Lord, we do not want to live even a moment of life
if You are not with us...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own

A Little Truth is Better Than your Abundant False

Psalms 37:16, 17 - A little that a righteous man hath is better than the
riches of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but
the LORD upholdeth the righteous.

Yesterday my family with a sister in Christ and her son went to a mall
to spend some family time. We enjoyed a lot there; the mall was in a
festive for all were celebrating Christmas. There were decorations
everywhere and we also saw children singing carols, special
entertainments for the people at the mall, people wearing Santa caps and
clicking pictures near Christmas trees, cribs and shops that were
grandly decorated. Even in the building I stay has been decorated
extraordinarily. I saw a Hindu society committee member personally
decorating the Christmas tree.

One may see all this and feel glad, but what is the truth behind all
this. Let me take for instance the person decorating the tree he is a
Hindu but what was ironic was that he is a staunch worshipper of a blood
thirsty female demon goddess. I also doubt all those unbelievers
enjoying Christmas at the mall knew Jesus more than He is a God of the
Christians and a historical person who existed long before. They also
may have known of His suffering and resurrection but that would be for
them 'what the Christians believe'.

In today's message the Lord is telling us however much ever the things
we do on the foundation of lies, however pleasing or good they may seem
to be, yet all these will not see any fruit. The Lord is saying He will
personally destroy all these falsehood we are doing in His Name.

The Lord is telling us instead the little that we do based on the Truth
is better than the abundant 'pleasing' and 'feel good' that we do in His
Name which are based on falsehood. That little we do based on Truth will
bear more fruit than all that is done by all the people collectively
based on lies.

My sister and me are aware of the Truth behind the festive 'Christmas'
and when we saw all this happening, both of us felt in our hearts of the
happiness we could have had, being part of this celebration. The
happiness we could give our children, our families and the people
connected to our lives. Both of us were known to be extra expressive
before during this festive. Giving sweets and gifts all the children
around, getting the all unbelievers we could connect to, to be part of
the celebration in innovative ways. But yet we chose to distance
ourselves from this celebration. We preferred doing little that was
Truth than all that looked good but was based on lies. We did not need a
date to witness our Christ, we did not need an occasion to meet people,
we did not need an opportunity to give the Gospel, we did not need a day
to do good. We know our God opens doors for us when we ask of Him. He
creates opportunities, He is the Lord of the Harvest, He is in control
not only of our lives, but all things living are subjected to Him.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, You are Light and unchangeable since ancient. You are Truth and
will not compromise even if man thinks it is good for him. All that You
do is not based on what man thinks or feels but based on what is true
for You know the Truth alone will survive and all else will perish. Your
love may seem foolishness for mankind but You know it is this
'foolishness' that will save your people. Lord, we pray for more courage
among your people that they will not flow with the river, going the easy
way of falsehood but dare to take the hard way but the way of Truth. Let
them know that You are behind them and when You are behind them nothing
can shake them...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Are we Christians like Asa?

2 Chronicles 15:17 - But the high places were not taken away out of
Israel: nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect all his days.

In the Bible - Old Testament we read the many pagan gods that the
Israelites worshiped yet we find Stephen in his wisdom accused them of
only 2 - Moloch and Remphan. I went through great depth studying
scriptures and right from the start to the end of the Bible, although
there are many pagan gods or false deities yet we see there are 2 who
are very prominent. They come in different forms through different
cultures and eras. Even though their names may be different yet though
study of them we find them fitting the same template.

Even today scan through other religions and it is the same story. Let it
be Islam, Catholicism, Hinduism or even African Voodoo they all have one
or both of these characters.

Revelation states them as the dragon and the beast, Moses puts them as
the serpent and the young lion (Psalms 91) but in his symbolic journey
across the desert it is King Sihon and King Og whom they overcame before
crossing the river Jordan to enter the Promised Land.

Like the word Elohim in the plural yet shows ones similarly the word
devil in the Bible is plural showing their oneness in their quest to vanity.

King Asa removed his mother from her authority as Queen for she made a
groove (word used for an altar, tree or grotto where an idol was
placed). But since he did discern all things he made a mistake of
ignoring the evil that was happening of people worshiping God in unholy
ways. Yet we see the Lord says 'nevertheless the heart of Asa was
perfect all his days'.

Today Christians will be worshiping the Lord in high places the same way
as the Jews were worshiping Jehovah in an unholy manner in the high
places. Yet the Lord is looking at the hearts and understands. But then
this would not continue forever.

It took me nearly 3 years to get this deceit understood and now I have
no excuse to say I did not know so I cannot be like Asa ignorant. So
till the time I was ignorant I was excused but now I am not. But then
ignorance is not bliss we need to grow in our understanding and discernment.

The Lord says to love Him with all our hearts, with all our soul, all
our strength and all our understanding (mind).

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, You are a merciful God. Even though man got corrupted with lies
and vanity, yet You desire to save him. As You are working on cleansing
man from this corruption You are patient with man. It is only by our
knowledge of You and who we are in You that will save us. Lord, we thank
You for your mercy and patience...

We make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

2 Chronicles 15:16-19

16And also concerning Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her
from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove: and Asa cut
down her idol, and stamped it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.

17But the high places were not taken away out of Israel: nevertheless
the heart of Asa was perfect all his days.

18And he brought into the house of God the things that his father had
dedicated, and that he himself had dedicated, silver, and gold, and vessels.

19And there was no more war unto the five and thirtieth year of the
reign of Asa.

Acts 7:40-43

40Saying unto Aaron, Make us gods to go before us: for as for this
Moses, which brought us out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is
become of him.

41And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice unto the
idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands.

42 Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as
it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye
offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in
the wilderness?

43Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god
Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you
away beyond Babylon.

Luke 10:27And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with
all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and
with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

John 8:31-32

31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue
in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

32And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Look not upon wine when it is red or when it sparkles

Proverbs 23:30-32 - They that tarry long at the wine; They that go to
seek out mixed wine. Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, When it
sparkleth in the cup, When it goeth down smoothly: At the last it biteth
like a serpent, And stingeth like an adder.

People may think this scripture is about wine.

Like all other Bible scriptures this too is multidimensional and attends
to the simple minded as well has those who are blessed with wisdom, the
dose is little as well as great for the respective.

Let me attend to the first and then the second.

The Bible talks a lot about wine. There are many Christians especially
the Catholic community which states the first miracle Jesus did was turn
water to wine that is why they honour Him by drinking wine (including
alcohol).

At parties when I tell people I do not have alcohol not even wine they
ask me if I am really a Christian (confusing me to a Catholic).

The Bible is very clear that God's people are forbidden from consuming
alcohol including wine. The confusion comes between alcohol (spirits),
strong wine, mild wine and fresh grape juice for all are translated as
wine. It is only when we check their Greek or Hebrew words we see there
are different words used in Greek and in Hebrew which describe what kind
of wine mentioned in the respective scripture. Greek language (NT) has 2
different words defining wines, while the Hebrew language has 5
different words specifying 5 levels of wines.

In Greek there are totally 3 words used for wine:-
Oinos -/oy-nos/- (Strong/3631/ ) - wine in general whose fermentation
levels may vary to from mild to medium -*John 2:10, 1 Tim 3:8, 1 Tim 5:23*
Gleukos -/glyoo-kos/ - (Strong/1098/ ) - high fermented wine -*Act
2:13*(only scripture)

Parvinos -/Par-oy-nos/ - (Strong/3943/ ) - given to wine or getting drunk
with wine -*1 Tim 3:3*

In Hebrew there are totally 7 words used for wine:-
Tiyrowsh -/Tee-roshe/ - (Strong 8492) - fresh grape juice -*Gen 27:25*
Aciyc -/Aw-sees/- (Strong 6071) - fresh wine not fermented -*Joel 1:5*
Yayin -/Yay-in/- (Strong 3196) - fermented wine -*Gen 27:28, Joel 1:5,
Proverb 23:30*
Mamcak -/mam-sawk/- (Strong 4469) - spiced wine -*Proverb 23:30*
Shekar -/Shay-kawr/ - (Strong 7491) - Alcohol or strong drink or spirit
-*Num 28:7*(only scripture)

Cobe -/so-beh/- (Strong 5435) - getting drunk with strong wine -*Isaiah
1:22*
Enab -/Ay-awb/- (Strong 6025) - to bear fruit or grape as a fruit or
wine -*Hosea 3:1*

There is only one scripture in Aramaic referring to wine:-
Chamar -/Kham-ar/- (Strong 2562) - an Aramaic word for wine -*Ezra 6:9*

**

By checking the respective scripture to the kind of wine mentioned we
see that strong wine is forbidden and what wine Jesus turned the water
to, was fresh grape juice. It was so very fresh that it caused the host
to comment; a day old or half a day old would cause mild fermentation.
Fermentation is a process where the sugar is broken into carbon dioxide
and alcohol.

In today's message the Lord says do not consume the wine when it is
strong or when it sparkles. It is found sparkling wine (like Champagne)
runs into our blood stream faster than normal wine therefore can cause a
person to be intoxicated faster.

Coming to the second dimension of this scripture, here wine symbolizes
carnal desires like lust, temptation or just desires for worldly things.

The Lord is giving us a very simple and easy way to overcome the carnal
person and that is not to fight it but just delay or postpone acting on
it. Paul also put it as flee from temptation; he does not say fight
temptation.

The only thing that overcomes the carnal person is Truth. That means to
overcome temptations, lust or worldly desires one need to have the Truth
in him or her. Truth does not mean knowledge of the Bible but the
understanding of the Bible. It is only when we act on the knowledge we
get from the Bible do we get its understanding. Therefore until we come
to a stage where we realize the vanity of acting on temptation, or lust,
or desires of the world, we should refrain from acting when we are
tempted or have a desire which is worldly.

That does not mean we just keep running, to stop the running we need to
fill ourselves with understanding of the Kingdom of God.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, You came as ordinary man but yet You did not become like us. You
overcame the world. You were tempted like us that too when You were
weaken in the desert yet You overcame temptation by the Truth. Lord, as
your Spirit works in us and reveals more and more of your Kingdom to us,
help us not to act on our desires which are worldly or fall when
temptation comes...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

John 2:9-10

9When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine,
and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water
knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,

10And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good
wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou
hast kept the good wine until now.

1 Corinthians 10:14Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

1 Timothy 6:10-11

10For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some

11But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after
righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

2 Timothy 2:22Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith,

R.D SOUZA Saved by faith - Page 20 Empty Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Post  Admin on Wed 19 Dec 2012, 12:50 pm

Can man depart from evil and do good?

Psalms 37:27 - Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.

Today's message is very clear by itself. If any person wants to live
forever, then all that person needs to do is depart from evil and do
good. It is as simple as that.

A person who can do this does not need any religion, or help of any
other person or being, including Jesus Christ. Yes, a person does not
need even Jesus Christ to be saved if that person can keep away from
evil and do good; this is what the Lord has said, and what He has said
stands.

First thing we should remember man has limited knowledge and
understanding. His wisdom grows with knowledge and experience. That is
why people today have more wisdom then people ages back. But all that
wisdom which man has today is nothing compared to what he needs to know
of the Kingdom of God.

Let me take an example - the Kingdom of God is not a physical world but
a spiritual world. The word spirit given in the Bible is the Hebrew word
'ruwach' which means 'breath' or 'wind'.

Breath or air is not a living thing yet spirit is a living thing.

Spirit does not have a visible form or shape yet the Bible states a
spirit having a spiritual form and shape not visible to earthly man. It
uses adjectives to describe a spirit.

Spirit is not energy yet has energy, power.

Spirit is not restricted by natural time and place, or by natural laws.

Man in all his wisdom cannot picture an elementary thing like spirit
then what position is man that he can know things of the Kingdom of God?
If man in all his wisdom cannot know of the Kingdom of God then in what
capacity is man to know good from bad. If he cannot know good from bad
then how is he to refrain from bad and do good.

History shows what man did as a hero years bad is now considered as an
act of terrorism. Many of the rituals man followed in the name of God
years back has been banned today and any person following them can be
arrested and even face life sentence.

God knew after man ate of the fruit of doubt in the Garden of Eden, man
lost his sense of discernment and does not have the wisdom to know good
from bad.

Jesus Christ came as man, paid the price for our sins, took away the
wrath of God so that we can receive the Spirit of Truth and by receiving
His Spirit we receive the ability to know of the Kingdom of God, grow in
discerning good from bad and thus walk in righteousness.

God did not stop there He also gives us His other Spirits (Holy Spirit
constitutes of 7 Spirits) so that we receive all the help we need to
walk in goodness and thus overcome evil. Man by himself cannot walk in
righteousness but only by the help of the Holy Spirit can he start
taking the baby steps of righteousness and grow into a mature Son of God.

We need Jesus in our lives because it is only by Him that we can receive
His Spirit and be saved. The walk of salvation starts with believing in
the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and finishes with the working of the Holy
Spirit in us.

Many people stop at believing in Jesus and think they are saved. These
people will be totally disappointed on the Judgment Day when the Word
will judge us.

God created the world and rested in His Spirit; Jesus did His work and
rested in His Spirit. We all need to know the importance of the Spirit
of God in our walk towards our salvation.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, man was given access to eternal life when he had access to the
Tree of Life, but when he ate of the fruit of doubt to know good and
evil. Man was innocent of evil for the all that You created, You
declared it as good and the only evil that existed then was Satan. Lord,
You paid the price so that by your Spirit we will again receive the
Truth in us and thus overcome evil. Holy Spirit, reveal more and more of
the Kingdom of God to us. At the same time strengthen us by your work on
our spirit that we may not stumble but walk the path of righteousness to
receive the righteousness of Christ...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Proverbs 3:13-18

13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth
understanding.

14For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver,
and the gain thereof than fine gold.

15She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire
are not to be compared unto her.

16Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and
honour.

17Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.

18She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is
every one that retaineth her.

Ecclesiastes 2:18-26

18Yea, I hated all my labour which I had taken under the sun: because I
should leave it unto the man that shall be after me.

19And who knoweth whether he shall be a wise man or a fool? yet shall he
have rule over all my labour wherein I have laboured, and wherein I have
shewed myself wise under the sun. This is also vanity.

20Therefore I went about to cause my heart to despair of all the labour
which I took under the sun.

21For there is a man whose labour is in wisdom, and in knowledge, and in
equity; yet to a man that hath not laboured therein shall he leave it
for his portion. This also is vanity and a great evil.

22For what hath man of all his labour, and of the vexation of his heart,
wherein he hath laboured under the sun?

23For all his days are sorrows, and his travail grief; yea, his heart
taketh not rest in the night. This is also vanity.

24There is nothing better for a man, than that he should eat and drink,
and that he should make his soul enjoy good in his labour. This also I
saw, that it was from the hand of God.

25For who can eat, or who else can hasten hereunto, more than I?

26For God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and
knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and
to heap up, that he may give to him that is good before God. This also
is vanity and vexation of spirit.

Isaiah 11:2 - And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit
of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit
of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

John 14:17 - Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive,
because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he
dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

John 16:13 - Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will
guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but
whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you
things to come.

Causing God to appear

2 Chronicle 1:5 - Moreover the brasen altar, that Bezaleel the son of
Uri, the son of Hur, had made, he put before the tabernacle of the LORD:
and Solomon and the congregation sought unto it.

We read 2 Chronicles 1:3-7 we see Solomon did 3 things which caused the
Lord to appear to him. In today's message the Lord is telling us about
these 3 things, which if we too do will cause the presence of the Lord
to be manifested or the glory of God to be experienced in our lives.

The 3 things that Solomon did were:-

1) He placed the Ark of God in the Tent of Congregation

2) He placed the brasen altar before the Tent of Congregation

3) He made a great sacrifice on the brazen altar

You may say brother we do not have the Ark of Covenant / God or the
brazen altar today. Nor are we to offer a sacrifice of blood for Christ
is our eternal sacrifice, so how are we to do this.

We need to understand everything thing that the Lord asked Moses to do
was a shadow of the things in Christ. Without going deep into explaining
things I would briefly put what they represent.

1) The Ark of Covenant symbolizes The Cross or the Cause of Christ.

People think the wooden crucifix on which Jesus was crucified is the
Cross which Jesus asked us to carry (they symbolize it suffering). This
started with Catholic Church; they put a symbol in our hands and took
away its true understanding. This understanding of Cross symbolizing
suffering goes against all scriptures. The Lord said we will have
problem coming in our lives but when He is in our lives He will carry us
over them and as Psalms 91 puts it, He will not let even our feet
stumble even against a stone. Paul puts the Cross symbolizing victory
and that which has power.

When we are really in the Lord, the problems which we go through in our
lives are those which the Lord allows to mould us, build us and make us
better. In short it is the pruning which He does in us.

Suffering us not what a Christian is supposes to carry, but every
Christian is called to sacrifice the desires of the flesh as part of
process of becoming an overcomer. So the suffering is of our carnal
self. Jesus tells us to take His burden but also says that His burden is
light for His Spirit helps us carry it.

Note Paul and the others used the word 'tree' for the wooden crucifix on
which Jesus was crucified in many places and purposely avoided to
mention the shape. Bible also says our bodies are tents (temporary houses).

2) The brasen altar symbolizes repentance.

This altar was made of Shittim wood and the corners were laid with brass
(instead of gold used in making of the Ark, the Hebrew word 'nachosheth'
used for brass comes from the root 'nachash' meaning 'to learn by
experience') .

On this altar was made a daily sacrifice. Most of the sacrifices
concerning sin were made on this altar, also made on it was the
sacrifice of guilt wherein a person has sinned out of ignorance.

3) Doing a great sacrifice does not mean we need to give God anything.
God is the giver of all things and to Him there is nothing that is our
which we can give. What He desires of us is to come closer to Him and to
come closer to Him we need to be more like Him and to be more like Him
we need to lose all that in us which keeps us far from Him.

Our greatest sacrifice is to lose a part of our worldly self and gain in
our goodly self.

In short putting all 3 together we need to bring the purpose of Christ
into our lives making it the most important purpose of our lives. At the
entrance of our new lives in Christ, is the altar of repentance. At this
table we are to daily sacrifice a part of our worldly self.

Jesus said unless we do not eat His flesh and drink of His blood we will
not have life in us. Flesh symbolizes desires. Jesus was not carnal, for
He overcame the world. His desires were the desires of the Father and He
fulfilled them. Blood symbolizes righteousness. When we eat the desires
of Jesus making it a part of us and live a life like Christ, we
experience more of Christ in us and see the glory of God in our lives.
That is the reason Paul warns not to receive the unleavened bread
(symbolizing Body / Flesh of Christ) and the cup of wine (unfermented
grape juice) in an unworthy manner (without repentance).

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, You have made ways for man to come to You but all of them is only
through Christ. Unless we do not be more and more like Christ, becoming
a part of Christ the Vine we will not have life or salvation. Lord, we
pray we realize the importance to live a life surrendered unto You and a
life that pleases You...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen

[Reference Scripture]

2 Chronicle 1:3-7

3So Solomon, and all the congregation with him, went to the high place
that was at Gibeon; for there was the tabernacle of the congregation of
God, which Moses the servant of the LORD had made in the wilderness.

4But the ark of God had David brought up from Kirjathjearim to the place
which David had prepared for it: for he had pitched a tent for it at
Jerusalem.

5Moreover the brasen altar, that Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of
Hur, had made, he put before the tabernacle of the LORD: and Solomon and
the congregation sought unto it.

6And Solomon went up thither to the brasen altar before the LORD, which
was at the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered a thousand burnt
offerings upon it.

7In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what
I shall give thee.

Exodus 38:1-7

1And he made the altar of burnt offering of shittim wood: five cubits
was the length thereof, and five cubits the breadth thereof; it was
foursquare; and three cubits the height thereof.

2And he made the horns thereof on the four corners of it; the horns
thereof were of the same: and he overlaid it with brass.

3And he made all the vessels of the altar, the pots, and the shovels,
and the basons, and the fleshhooks, and the firepans: all the vessels
thereof made he of brass.

4And he made for the altar a brasen grate of network under the compass
thereof beneath unto the midst of it.

5And he cast four rings for the four ends of the grate of brass, to be
places for the staves.

6And he made the staves of shittim wood, and overlaid them with brass.

7And he put the staves into the rings on the sides of the altar, to bear
it withal; he made the altar hollow with boards.

Exodus 29:9-18

9And thou shalt gird them with girdles, Aaron and his sons, and put the
bonnets on them: and the priest's office shall be theirs for a perpetual
statute: and thou shalt consecrate Aaron and his sons.

10And thou shalt cause a bullock to be brought before the tabernacle of
the congregation: and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands upon the
head of the bullock.

11And thou shalt kill the bullock before the LORD, by the door of the
tabernacle of the congregation.

12And thou shalt take of the blood of the bullock, and put it upon the
horns of the altar with thy finger, and pour all the blood beside the
bottom of the altar.

13And thou shalt take all the fat that covereth the inwards, and the
caul that is above the liver, and the two kidneys, and the fat that is
upon them, and burn them upon the altar.

14But the flesh of the bullock, and his skin, and his dung, shalt thou
burn with fire without the camp: it is a sin offering.

15Thou shalt also take one ram; and Aaron and his sons shall put their
hands upon the head of the ram.

16And thou shalt slay the ram, and thou shalt take his blood, and
sprinkle it round about upon the altar.

17And thou shalt cut the ram in pieces, and wash the inwards of him, and
his legs, and put them unto his pieces, and unto his head.

18And thou shalt burn the whole ram upon the altar: it is a burnt
offering unto the LORD: it is a sweet savour, an offering made by fire
unto the LORD.

Leviticus 4 (the kind of sacrifices made on the brasen altar)

Acts 5:30 - The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew,
hanging him on a tree.

Acts 10:39 - And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the
country of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom also they slew, hanging him
on a tree.

Acts 13:29 - And when they had fulfilled all things that were written of
him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a tomb.

Galatians 3:13 - Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having
become a curse for us; for it is written, Cursed is every one that
hangeth on a tree:

1 Peter 2:24 - who his own self bare our sins in his body upon the tree,
that we, having died unto sins, might live unto righteousness; by whose
stripes ye were healed.
1 Corinthians 1:18 - For the word of the cross is to them that perish
foolishness; but unto us who are saved it is the power of God.

John 6:53 - Jesus therefore said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto
you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, ye
have not life in yourselves.

Galatians 6:14 - But far be it from me to glory, save in the cross of
our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world hath been crucified unto
me, and I unto the world.

Slept with his fathers

2 Kings 15:7 - So Azariah slept with his fathers; and they buried him
with his fathers in the city of David: and Jotham his son reigned in his
stead.

The second book of Kings chapter 15 give a brief description of Azariah.
It speaks of him become king at the age of sixteen. It speaks of him
doing right in the sight of the Lord and all according to his father
Amaziah (including the mistakes). It also points to the mistake of
allowing wrong worship of the Lord (burning incense in high places).
Later it speaks of the Lord striking him with leprosy until his death.
The reason was taken on our precious message dated 05/12/12-'Beware of
leprosy in the Church'. What we see is even though Azariah did wrong and
was punished yet the Bible says he slept with his fathers after his death.

As I was studying the Bible I noticed this sentence and started tracking
all those who slept with their fathers after they died and also compared
their lives. The first person to be recorded as slept with their fathers
was David. The other interesting statement which goes on the same line
for people who found favour with God was those written as gathered to
his people on their death and in it starts with Abraham on his death for
it is written about him being gathered unto his people.

All those who found favour with God for reasons like walking in the ways
of the Lord or having respect to Him and His holy things were in these 2
categories of slept with their fathers or gathered unto his people.

These terms actually do not start with Abraham but with Noah for the
first Covenant with the Lord and man was started with him. Later we find
Abraham was written as the first to join. The promise of God not
destroying all mankind started with Noah.

Having knowledge of the spirit world, when we really study the covenant
God made with Noah we will understand God set the timeline for all
mankind and what spoke to Noah was concerning all mankind right unto the
end days.

When Adam sinned God had cursed man not to perish only in the flesh but
also his spirit would perish, so man after death was send to this prison
called Hell which was actually not made for man. In this prison man
lives his full spirit life term suffering the sins within him which are
described as ever burning coal, or Hell fire, or worms that do not die.

Like all those in the Ark survived, similarly those with the Ark of the
Covenant could enter the Promised Land and we see Jesus also said only
those who take up the Cross are the ones who will enter the Kingdom of God.

In the New Testament also we see people who died believing in Christ are
recorded as slept like in the case of Stephen. Paul and the book of
Revelation too states we sleep and rise on the Judgment Day when Christ
(Son of Man) comes again to judge all mankind.

Christians are lied to, that after death they go to Heaven because of
one scripture 2 Corinthians 5:8 but they do not read the scriptures
above 2 Corinthians 5:6 which shows clearly that 2 Corinthians 5:8 does
not talk of death but of spiritual state of the inner-man according to
its priority, of being carnal or spiritual. When we believe in Christ
and walk according to the Spirit, the Lord is with us even though we are
in the body, only when we are carnal-minded we are far from God.

The Gospel of John and so also the book of Acts talks of no man has
ascended to Heaven other than Jesus Christ. All who die in favour of the
Lord do not go to Hell but sleep unto Judgment Day. It is not that they
are sinless but the sins inside them do not torment them like those in
Hell, which is why the word sleep is used.

When we read the incident of the spirit of Samuel with King Saul we see
even though the spirit of Samuel was asleep yet he was aware of what was
happening in the world.

God forbid (corrupt) man from communicating with those who are sleep and
uses the term 'empty bottles' to describe those asleep. The place they
sleep is also referred as Grave. People who are unaware of Grave in
their efforts to communicate with those asleep, lands up communicating
with evil spirits or fallen angels who come disguised as dead people.
Praying to or asking dead people to intercede (leaving Jesus Christ who
has resurrected therefore He and His Spirit alone can intercede) lands
people communicating with evil spirits. Evil spirits also have powers
and these are mistaken works of the Lord. God says in the books of
Moses, He allows this to happen to test if His people have His Word in them.

Let us not be deceived because of our lack of understanding of the Word.
Let us be rooted in the Word and not into tales of man. Let us not
disturb those asleep unless we can transfigure like Jesus Christ who
overcame corruption.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, your Word says man perishes due to lack of knowledge. Lord we pray
your people stop believing in tales of man and believe in your Word. Let
them know You alone are the Way and there is no other way to Heaven...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Genesis 7:1-4

1 And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark;
for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

4For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty
days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will
I destroy from off the face of the earth.

Genesis 9:8-9

8 And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,

9And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed
after you;

2 Corinthians 5:6-8

6Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home
in the body, we are absent from the Lord:

7(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

8We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body,
and to be present with the Lord.

John 3:13 - And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down
from heaven, even the Son of man which is [the tense used here is
"historical presents," and such occurrences dramatize the event
described as if the reader were there watching the event occur] in heaven.

John 20:17 - Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet
ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I
ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

Ephesians 4:10 - He that descended is the same also that ascended up far
above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

1 Thessalonians 4:13-17

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them
which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also
which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are
alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them
which are asleep.

16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the
voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in
Christ shall rise first:

17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with
them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be
with the Lord.

Romans 14:10 - But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set
at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat
of Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:10For we must all appear before the judgment seat of
Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body,
according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

John 5:25-30

25Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when
the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear
shall live.

26For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to
have life in himself;

27And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is
the Son of man.

28Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are
in the graves shall hear his voice,

29And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection
of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

30I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment
is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father
which hath sent me.

Do not be deceived by mortal man

Psalms 146:3,4 - Put not your trust in princes[rulers] , nor in the son
of man, in whom there is no help[salvation] . His breath[spirit] goeth
forth, he returneth to his earth[land]; in that very day his thoughts
perish.

Yesterday we were spoken about the difference between Christ and other
spiritual leaders; in today's message the Lord continues this message to
its roots.

In today's message the Lord speaks about not putting our trust in rulers
of the world or in any man who does not have salvation in him. These
rulers or leaders may be political, religious, spiritual, medical
geniuses or even people who have become celebratory icons like pop stars
or actors. These people due to their fame or skills should not be
allowed to mislead us from the Truth by making us to worship other gods
or themselves.

The Lords brings our attention to the most important aspect that exposes
these people and that is their death. The Word says when these people
die they are buried and so are all their thoughts.

When these great people including those famous for doing great work for
society die I start to think the irony of what is happening in the
physical and what is happening in the spiritual. However great work the
person does, even if they have given every drop of their blood for the
good of mankind yet they themselves have no hope of salvation and their
spirits are condemned to suffering and death.

None of us will be saved because we are good. We are only saved if we
have the Truth in us and when we have the Truth in us we will
automatically be good. We do not try to be good but since we have the
Spirit of God working in us by our acceptance of Christ (Truth that
became flesh), we are moulded into good beings; good not according to
the world but good according to God.

We need to get this message into us and not run after good people, but
run after people who have the Truth in them, and the Truth is Christ and
His Word. Christ and His Word cannot be separated. There are people who
sell you a 'Christ' without His Word; do not be deceived to believe that
is Christ. The only way to know Christ is not by photos or by the
assurance of man. We can know Christ only by His Word.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, the world is misled to run after people who seem to serve society.
They are declared as saints and semi-gods. They are worshipped and their
statues or photos are venerated and served. But man is not mindful of
what happens to their spirits because they did not believe in your
Truth. Lord, bless your people with discernment that they may not be
deceived by the thoughts and emotions which are worldly but let them
walk only in the Light of the Truth...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

What is worldly man?

Job 13:12 - Your remembrances are like unto ashes, your bodies to bodies
of clay.

A few days back in Mumbai a local politician died and the whole state of
Maharashtra was totally shut down. At the funeral more than 2million
gave attendance or stood alone the way of the procession. This man was
known for his fight for the 'son of the soil', the marashtians (the
original local community).

Some days later, was the anniversary of another person who also was well
known for his great social work among the lower caste people. He did a
great job of uplifting these people who were looked down by society at
that time. This man was highly educated and well known professionally.
He was instrument in drafting the Indian constitution.

The second man is now considered like a god by the people who belong to
those castes which he uplifted. The first man is on his way to become
another god for the people he helped.

Both these may not be compared on the same platform but both are highly
respected by the communities they served.

Today's message states the remembrance of man is like ashes and bodies
like vessels made of clay. If we scan through history there were many
who did great social service for mankind and all of them were remembered
for a period of time, some for short periods and others for longer
periods. But all soon or later got forgotten.

Ask a British about Elizabeth Gurney Fry (1780- 1845) and there is very
little chances they will remember her or ask an American about Jane
Addams (1860--1935) or about William Penn (1700s).

As the wind blows over the ash it blows away the ash depending on the
speed of the wind, over a period of time one will find no ash left. So
is the same with vessels made of clay, all the old clay vessels found
today are in damaged or totally broken conditions. The best preserved
vessels are those made of metal and not of clay.

If we look at these people and all other people who do great social work
or work towards a specific community, even all the good they do is
temporary. They may be a good example but yet they fail to be a complete
example. Their philosophy can be followed for a specific period or for a
specific purpose but no man can cover all areas of life and all periods
of time.

Jesus Christ as man is considered the only human whose teaching and
examples are valid throughout ages. People may state Him as a spiritual
guide and may compare people like Mohammad, Buddha, Confucius, Socrates,
Mahavira etc. to Him. But there is no comparison between Him and them.

All the teachings of the others are pertaining to the people of a
certain community or era and that is why we find they strongly promoted
their local traditions or thinking; from dressing, to eating, to living,
working etc. according to the culture existing during their time or
their local society.

On the other hand we see Jesus was against traditions. He was born Jews
but the Jews hated Him for not keeping their traditions. He is the only
one who did not only speak but backed what He spoke with action. He did
what no one else could, He defeated death. After His death and
resurrection He commanded His disciples to go the ends of the world and
preaching His message of salvation. His message was not for the Jews
alone but for all people across all generations.

Every teachings Jesus gave have been confirmed historically,
geographically, scientifically, astronomically and prophetically
accurate. They were not relevant to people only of His era but even
today we learn from His teachings and so also those in the future will.
The secret of His teachings He openly shared with all so that all can be
teach like Him, He said He spoke the Words of the Father.

The Bible is not only the most printed book, it is also the book which
has the most numbers of books written on it to study and understand.
Even in today's scientific era the Bible still stands as the most
accurate and perfect book.

We have the Word of God with us and when we speak the Word of God into
the lives of people (prophesy) we become little Jesus Christs ourselves
(Christians) . Since we imitate Christ it is not we who live but Christ
who lives in us.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, man has since ages wanted to make a name for himself. Man desires
to be remembered forever. But what is man who is not in You. Your Word
says he is like grass which is cut and burned at the end of its
duration. But those who are in You are like trees which bear fruit. They
are preserved and nurtured by You. Father God we pray we imitate Christ
for He alone saw You and knows You. It was He alone kept your Word as it
is to be kept. May we shine the light of Christ unto others...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Isaiah 40:18-25

18To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him?

19The workman melteth a graven image, and the goldsmith spreadeth it
over with gold, and casteth silver chains.

20He that is so impoverished that he hath no oblation chooseth a tree
that will not rot; he seeketh unto him a cunning workman to prepare a
graven image, that shall not be moved.

21Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from
the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?

22It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the
inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens
as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

23That bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the judges of the
earth as vanity.

24Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea,
their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow
upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away
as stubble.

25To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.

Psalms 37:1-7

1Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against
the workers of iniquity.

2For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green
herb.

3Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and
verily thou shalt be fed.

4Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of
thine heart.

5Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it
to pass.

6And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy
judgment as the noonday.

7Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because
of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked
devices to pass.

R.D SOUZA Saved by faith - Page 20 Empty Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Post  Admin on Sat 08 Dec 2012, 10:52 pm

Being in the womb of God
Psalms 69:16 - Hear me, O LORD; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn
unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies.

Today's message comes from a Psalm of David. David is known to be a
person who had great relationship with the Lord. He knew the feelings of
God for man.

There is something very interesting I learnt today from today's message.

When one looks at today's message it seems normal, nothing new or great,
for all know the loving kindness of God and the mercy of God. But when
we get into the Hebrew words we come to know the depth of God's
loving-kindness and His mercy.

The Psalmist speaks about the act of showing kindness or goodness of God
being good but later he asks God for the abundance of His tender
mercies. Here the word used a tender mercies is the same word which is
also translated as womb or bosom.

To understand the relationship of God with us we need to understand the
relationship of a mother with its baby that is yet in its womb. As a man
I may not do justice to this, but as a father I am able to shed some
light to it.

The day a woman knows she is pregnant with a child she stops living for
herself and starts to live for the child. All that she likes or dislike
are secondary but what is good for the child becomes primary. She
changes her every routine of the day. Her getting up, to going to sleep
is centred on the child. What she eats or drinks depends on the child.
Her walking, her getting up, sitting down is all slowed down for the
reason of the child. She gets morning sickness, pain in her back and her
legs but she bears it with a smile for the sake of the child. Ever small
move of the child brings a smile to her face. She knows she has to
suffer pain at the end of 9 months but that does not cause her to give
up because she waits the day she will see the face of the child. The joy
that comes from her holding her just born child in her arms is much
greater than all the pain and suffering and sacrifices that she has to
take through the 9 months.

We the children of God are like a foetus in the womb of God. Like a
mother He bears all for our sake. His sacrifice is great but the joy He
will have the day we transform into Sons of God is like the joy of a
mother when she sees her just born child. Every small thing we do
pleases Him. Like a mother forgets all the suffering and pain and just
holds the infant in her arms and gives a kiss to its forehead, so also
He will and the day we enter Heaven we will receive something unimaginable.

When we understand the relationship of a pregnant mother with the child
within her womb we will understand God's relationship with us.

An unborn child does not need to open her mouth to communicate with its
mother so also even our thoughts are known to God and He says He will
give us the desires of our hearts. A mother knows what is good for her
child and everything that is good she provides, so also does God who is
our Father (the Greek word also means Provider and Creator).

[Prayer Starter]

Father God, no man will be able to understand all that You have done for
us. What we see or know is just a fraction of all that is hidden from
us. You never desired man to know how much You suffered for us, You just
wanted us to know that You have done what was due to us. Lord, we do not
realize your love and concern for us, yet most times we think You do not
care for us. Lord, help us to remember that You carry us and without You
we would not exist for a second. Help us to surrender to You and your
abundance grace...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Isaiah 49:15 - Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not
have compassion on the son of her womb? yes, they may forget, yet will I
not forget you.

Ecclesiastes 11:5 - As you know not what is the way of the spirit, nor
how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so you
know not the works of God who makes all.

Unclean by the carcases of man

Isaiah 66:24 - And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of
the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die,
neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring
unto all flesh.

These few days I was in debate with a few Catholics who were giving
honour to the preserved body of their so called saints. The Catholics
think since these people truly loved God and pleased Him therefore the
Lord preserved their bodies as a sign, as a gift to honour them. One
thought this was the eternal life which God spoke of in the Bible.

Dead have been honoured from the start of human history. Especially
among the more popular religions the dead have a very special place.
Their graves, their bodies, parts of their bodies, their clothing, their
earthly possession etc. were and are yet literately worshipped.

Even the Israelites, although were called God's people were far from Him
and the Truth. They too like the heathens also worshipped the dead. The
bodies / graves of Men of God were like places of pilgrimage. They
thought they were pleasing God by honouring the bodies of His loved
ones. On the contrary they did not know their actions angered God more
than please Him.

Among the greatest men for a Jew was Moses and God knew if they had the
body of Moses they would mummify it or his bones they would preserve it
or even his empty grave they would build monuments around it, that is
why the Lord hid the body of Moses.

The tomb of David is among the pilgrim holy sites for the Jews. In
between when they did not have access to the site they would climb roof
tops nearest to the site and facing the site they would recite their
prayers. David is second for the Jews in the list of people they
worship. I know a Jew will deny they worship people but that is what the
Bible says they did; like when they attacked Stephen, in their
accusation they put Moses before God. The Jews also used the word
blasphemy for speaking against Moses, a term used only against God.

Even after the coming of Christianity, Satan did not leave his old
tricks, he innovated them into new ways. He tricked the Catholics to
worship the dead on various excuses in the name of religion that is why
they too like the heathen have tombs, monuments, statutes, rituals for
the dead, festive where the dead are honoured, their bodies or objects
are taken on procession.

Jesus said 'let the dead bury their dead' but those who are not dead to
follow Him, that is to abide with the Word of God. According to the Lord
the dead were buried outside the camp because we are not to disturb them
nor disrespect them, Abraham puts it as 'out of sight'. We should
realize the body is like a clothing and the spirit and soul is the real
us. Since none of us is perfect (without sin) our bodies decay, it was
only Jesus who was without sin, not only in spirit but also in body
therefore the promise of being resurrected in body (the flesh) was given
and fulfilled in Him alone.

People do not realize no person actually dies even when they die in the
body. Let him be a Believer or a non-Believer. It is only that if they
believe in the Lord Jesus Christ they do not go to Hell, while those who
do not go to Hell. Those who go to the prison Hell they suffer for the
remainder of their spirit life there and perish or die their spiritual
death. But those who believe sleep in hope of the return of the Son of
Man who would take them to Heaven so as to receive the promise of
eternal life.

It is only in Heaven that we can live eternally since we need access to
the Tree of Life to live eternally.

Note Adam and later Eve had access to the Tree of Life for a period of
time yet they did not eat of it, but after they sinned the Lord took
away their access to the Tree because the corrupt man should not have
access to eternal life.

Life to live eternally is only in God and this ability is given to the
Son since He came from the Father. Spirit man when created has a limited
period of life and that has not changed what is changed is the life of
the body he or she lives in on earth. It is not by eating once from the
Tree of Life we will live eternally for by eating of it we get a renewal
of life and thus to live eternally we need eternal access to the Tree of
Life which means we need to always dwell in Heaven or have access to Heaven.

The Lord is saying who worship the dead are spiritual dead and He is not
a God of them. He is saying they will go to Hell or be punished and the
sins in them will be like worms that will eat into them as long as they
live and they will be a testimony for all mankind.

Worshipping means offering prays, offering flowers, candles, incense
etc... Communicating with the dead or even asking the dead to intercede
is forbidden unless we can transfigure like Jesus.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You are a Living God, God of those who have life and your Word is
life. Lord, we pray for those who are deceived to worship or pray for
the dead. We ask for deliverance from this darkness. May they see your
Light and walk in your Light...

This prayer we make in Jesus's Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Matthew 8:22 - But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury
their dead.

Acts 6:8-11
8 And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles
among the people.
9Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called the
synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of
them of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with Stephen.
10And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he
spoke.
11Then they suborned men, which said, We have heard him speak
blasphemous words against Moses, and against God.

Deuteronomy 34:5-6
5 So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab,
according to the word of the LORD.
6And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against
Bethpeor: but no man knows of his sepulcher to this day.

Genesis 23:3-4
3 And Abraham stood up from before his dead, and spoke to the sons of
Heth, saying,
4I am a stranger and a sojourner with you: give me a possession of a
burial plot with you, that I may bury my dead out of my sight.

Acts 13:33-37
33God has fulfilled the same to us their children, in that he has raised
up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, You are my
Son, this day have I begotten you.
34And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to
return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure
mercies of David.
35Why he said also in another psalm, You shall not suffer your Holy One
to see corruption.
36For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God,
fell on sleep, and was laid to his fathers, and saw corruption:
37But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.

Leviticus 22:4 - What man soever of the seed of Aaron is a leper, or has
a running issue; he shall not eat of the holy things, until he be clean.
And whoever touches any thing that is unclean by the dead, or a man
whose seed goes from him;

Numbers 5:2 - Command the children of Israel, that they put out of the
camp every leper, and every one that has an issue, and whoever is
defiled by the dead:

Numbers 6:2-8
2Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, When either man or
woman shall separate themselves to vow a vow of a Nazarite, to separate
themselves to the LORD:
3He shall separate himself from wine and strong drink, and shall drink
no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink, neither shall he drink
any liquor of grapes, nor eat moist grapes, or dried.
4All the days of his separation shall he eat nothing that is made of the
vine tree, from the kernels even to the husk.
5All the days of the vow of his separation there shall no razor come on
his head: until the days be fulfilled, in the which he separates himself
to the LORD, he shall be holy, and shall let the locks of the hair of
his head grow.
6All the days that he separates himself to the LORD he shall come at no
dead body.
7He shall not make himself unclean for his father, or for his mother,
for his brother, or for his sister, when they die: because the
consecration of his God is on his head.
8All the days of his separation he is holy to the LORD.

Numbers 16:47-48
47And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the middle of the
congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he
put on incense, and made an atonement for the people.
48And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed.

Matthew 22:24-33
24Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his
brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed to his brother.
25Now there were with us seven brothers: and the first, when he had
married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife to his
brother:
26Likewise the second also, and the third, to the seventh.
27And last of all the woman died also.
28Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven?for
they all had her.
29Jesus answered and said to them, You do err, not knowing the
scriptures, nor the power of God.
30For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage,
but are as the angels of God in heaven.
31But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have you not read that
which was spoken to you by God, saying,
32I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of
Jacob?God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
33And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.

Read 2 Kings 23
