A horrific new clip released by the Islamic State shows an eight-year-old blond child assisting in executions.
The latest ISIS clip is entitled “If You’ll Come Back, We’ll Come Back 3,” the third in a series.
At the start of the video you can see a blond child approximately eight years old dressed like a jihadist in military uniform and vest. He walks around looking a cage filled with around eight prisoners in orange jumpsuits awaiting execution.
He stands next to the executioner, a man wearing black with a large sword, who then proceeds to execute the prisoners. The child watches all the beheadings and then he looks at the bodies with the executioner’s arm around his shoulders.

The video cuts to a new scene in which six executioners with large gun stand before six prisoners in orange jumpsuits on their knees. Two of the executioners look around 12 years old. The prisoners are shot.

The final scene sees the blond child standing next to a jihadi. Both watch another jihadi carry out a beheading.

The child then pulls a pistol from his vest, gives it to the jihadist standing next to him and they shoot another prisoner together.
Warning: This video contains graphic images.

If we want to learn where Rahami got his seditious Islamist ideology, a good place to start is his mosque that is linked to ICNA, a seditious Islamist group.
A family friend of Ahmad Khan Rahami, the alleged perpetrator of the bombings in N.Y. and N.J., says Rahami attended the Muslim Community of New Jersey mosque and was there two weeks ago, but his overall attendance was “inconsistent.” The imam of the mosque is an official with an Islamist group named the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA).

The Muslim Community of New Jersey mosque, which has condemned Rahami’s terrorist attacks, lists its imam and religious affairs director as Asif Hirani.

Hirani is also an official with ICNA, serving as the program manager for its proselytizing campaign known as “WhyIslam” and an instructor for a branch of ICNA known as the Islamic Learning Foundation.

ICNA was derived from a Southeast Asian Islamist party called Jamaat-e-Islami. You can read our more comprehensive profile of ICNA here.

There is no indication that ICNA or Hirani support or approve of ISIS and Rahami’s bombings, but a 300-page teaching guide made by ICNA tells ICNA supporters that it is based on the work of some of the pioneers of the Islamist extremist movements, including Hamas financier Yousef Al-Qaradawi.

The Clarion Project wrote about the teaching guide in 2014. It is full of disturbing quotes about jihad, defeating the West, “reinstating the Caliphate system,” establishing theocratic sharia law, deception, infiltrating the political system and following an incremental strategy of gradualism towards these ends.
ICNA’s 2010 member’s handbook similarly outlines a five-tiered strategy towards achieving a “united Islamic state, governed by an elected khalifah (caliph) in accordance with the laws of Sharia (Islamic law).” The five tiers are individual, family, society, state and global, the last of which entails establishing alliances “towards the establishment of the Khilafah [caliphate].”
If you teach Muslims that Allah requires you to strive towards building an Islamic State, it is not surprising that they would want to join the Islamic State. If you tell Muslims that it is obligatory to resurrect the caliphate, with violent jihad as a permissible option, won’t they be enthralled by an organization that appears to achieve that?
ICNA does condemn ISIS but even its declaration against ISIS endorses its basic concepts, which is why the declaration’s signatories include theocratic jihadists. It isn’t a truly peaceful and democratic declaration like the one published by the Muslim Reform Movement.
As for Hirani himself, he does preach against Islamic extremism, using that exact terminology. In one sermon, he laments talking to a youth who asked his parents about whether ISIS is following the Quran and his father only said not to talk about the world’s most famous terrorist group.

The attacks come as Boko Haram kills four at a church and a boat captain starts trial for throwing Christian refugees overboard.
Three horrific incidents in three different countries highlight the global persecution of Christians by Muslim supremacists.
A mob of Muslim militants descended on Ndomete village in the Central African Republic (CAR) and went door-to-door killing Christians. The U.N. confirmed the casualty figures.

The militiamen, believed to belong to the Muslim militia group Seleka, killed 26 people and is thought to have deliberately targeted civilians. Seleka deposed then president Francois Bozize in 2013 and installed the Muslim Michel Djotodia instead.

Faced with mounting sectarian violence, Djotodia resigned in January 2014.

Although the Seleka group was officially disbanded, the group did not put down its weapons. Ex-Seleka fighters and Christian so-called “anti-Balaka” militias have been fighting since, displacing some 25 percent of CAR’s population.

“If the government is not going to beef up the security, then we are going to defend ourselves,” a local Christian leader told Morningstar News. “We shall not keep quiet as our brothers are dying.”

We don’t know what U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef at the U.N., but maybe it sounded like this.
US Secretary of State John Kerry spoke with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef at the UN to discuss bilateral ties. Here’s what they might have said to each other.
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry: Pleasure to see you your royal highness. I have some very important matters to discuss with you and don’t have much time, so I hope you don’t mind if we launch straight into it.
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Nayef: No problem at all.
Kerry: Wonderful. The first thing I’d like to ask is about is your human rights violations in Yemen. You guys sure have been killing an awful lot of civilians over there. According to the U.N. humanitarian coordinator your soldiers have killed or wounded at least 10,000 civilians since beginning the campaign in 2015. Do you think you could, you know, dial it back a little bit? Or maybe just be more careful when you’re getting your bomb on?
Nayef: Listen, we’ve bought $110 billion worth of weapons from y’all since Obama took office. That’s a lot of money. If you don’t like the way we do things we’d be happy to take our business elsewhere. China never asks us these sorts of insulting questions about alleged “civilian casualties.” How can you prove they’re not terrorists anyway? Once someone is just mangled chunks mixed with rubble, terrorists and civilians start to get a lot harder to differentiate
Kerry: The U.N. Human Rights Commissioner says you’ve killed two-thirds of the civilians who’ve died in the war. You’ve dropped cluster bombs on civilian areas! You’re using white phosphorus!

The media’s desire to shape world events by whitewashing reality or by falsifying the narrative seems to have gotten out of control this election season.
Writing in a joint op-ed yesterday in The New York Times, after a weekend that saw four Islamist terror attacks in the U.S., the mayors of New York City, London and Paris made an astonishing statement:  “In our experience, they wrote, “militant violence is vanishingly rare.”
Only they didn’t write that. A correction appeared today at the end of the article noting that the phrase was added by an editor without the approval of the authors.
In the article, titled “Our Immigrants, Our Strength,” Bill DeBlasio, Sadiq Kahn and Anne Hidalgo, mayors of NYC, London and Paris respectively,  argue that, “Investing in the integration of refugees and immigrants is not only the right thing to do, it is also the smart thing to do. Refugees and other foreign-born residents bring needed skills and enhance the vitality and growth of local economies, and their presence has long benefited our three cities.”
Just to make sure the Times’ readers didn’t get nervous about an influx of refugees, a zealous editor added the sentence about vanishing “militant violence” (code word for Islamist terrorism).
While one can argue the point the authors are making -- that “policies that embrace diversity and promote inclusion are successful” (ask voters in Germany who recently gave Chancellor Angela Merkel’s open door policies an enormous thumbs down) -- no one can say that “militant violence” in the world is vanishing.
In fact, London’s Mayor Kahn said the day after the NY/NJ bombings that urban dwellers might as well get used to terror attacks, because they are now “part and parcel” of city life.

Certain sections of the media have been reticent to identify Ahmad Khan Rahami’s Muslim identity in their coverage of his attack
Y ELLIOT FRIEDLAND Thu, September 22, 2016
New York bomber Ahmad Khan Rahami, who stands accused of setting a pressure cooker bomb in Chelsea which injured 29 people on Saturday, has been charged in a criminal complaint. Rahami was arrested after a shootout on Monday.
He is also suspected of planting bombs in Seaside Park and Elizabeth, New Jersey.

After the shootout, police recovered a journal containing Islamist rhetoric and praise for known terrorist groups and ideologies.

“I looked for guidance came Sheikh Anwar, Brother Adnani, Dawla. Said it clearly – Attack the kuffar (non-believer) in the back yard,” Rahami wrote, referencing American Al-Qaeda ideologue Anwar al-Awlaki who was killed in a drone strike in 2011 and the Islamic State’s spokesperson Abu Muhammad al Adnani who was killed in August. (Dawla is an honorific term for a ruler or senior statesman.)

Adnani issued frequent calls to Westerners to carry out terrorist attacks within their home countries.

Rahami also wrote, “The sounds of bombs will be heard in the streets.”

The federal complaint makes mention of Rahami’s support for Al-Qaeda, but not his support for the Islamic State. However, an official told Fox News that more charges and complaints would most likely be brought and the complaint may be included later on.

No troops were injured in the attack by the Islamic State. The US routinely bombs sites where ISIS manufactures the deadly chemical agent.
A shell containing mustard gas was fired at US and Iraqi troops at the Qayyara air base in Iraq by the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL). The shell, believed to be either a rocket or an artillery shell, was deemed “ineffective” by one official and “low purity” by another.

No troops were injured by the shell, which landed within about 100 yards of U.S. troops on the base which is located outside of Mosul. Troops that initially inspected the shell went through decontamination showers as a precautionary measure.

"I don't know of a case like this where it was proximate to U.S. forces like this before," said one military official who was quoted by CNN.
The attack did not surprise American officials since they were aware that the terror group had been manufacturing the chemical agent and had previously bombed several of the group’s production site

Keonna Thomas admitted she planned to abandon her two young children and travel to the Islamic State to die as a “martyr.”
Keonna Thomas, 32, admitted in federal court to planning to abandon her two children, aged seven and nine, to fight for the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL).

She told the judge, "I believe that I'm guilty of this charge," acknowledging that the only reason she did not carry out this plan is because federal agents raided her home the day she was due to leave in 2015.

She had booked a flight to Barcelona and planned to travel to Syria from there.

She began by posting extremist statements online as early as 2013 under the pseudonyms Fatayat Al Khilafah and YoungLioness. Later, she became more involved and contacted a Jamaican cleric called Sheikh Abdullah el-Faisal and asked him to help her marry a jihadist.

He made a match and she married ISIS recruit Abu Khalid al-Amriki in an online ceremony conducted over Skype.
When he asked her in 2015 if she wanted to carry out a suicide operation she replied, “That would be amazing. . . . A girl can only wish."

The man, a refugee in Germany, will stand trial for attempted murder after he threw his three children out of a window of an immigrant center.
Police in the German town of Lohmar received an emergency call after neighbors saw three children falling one by one from the first floor window of a refugee center, according to The Mirror.

Prosecutors argued that the dispute was caused when the wife “in Germany no longer wished to accept the roles they had at home, and did not want to put up with everything he wanted any more.”

The three children, aged one, three and seven, were airlifted to a nearby hospital. The man was promptly arrested.

The two older children were seriously injured with both sustaining head injuries and internal trauma. The one-year-old survived with lighter injuries and was able to be released from the hospital the next day.

The man had been banned from the center for 10 days after smashing a saucepan in his wife’s face. Feeling sorry for him, the wife had let her husband back in the center

Rivaling Saudi Arabia’s ban on women driving, the ban says the activity exposes the society to corruption and is against women's chastity.
“Let me tell you what I think of bicycling. I think it has done more to emancipate women than anything else in the world. It gives women a feeling of freedom and self-reliance. I stand and rejoice every time I see a woman ride by on a wheel…the picture of free, untrammeled womanhood.” - Feminist icon Susan B. Anthony, 1896.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei issued a fatwa prohibiting women from riding bicycles in public.

Speaking to state media, Khamenei said, "Riding a bicycle often attracts the attention of men and exposes the society to corruption, and thus contravenes women's chastity, and it must be abandoned."

Reaction was swift and to the point by women protesting the latest setback to their freedom in the Islamic Republic.

The hashtag #Iranianwomenlovecycling was initiated on social media and women began posting pictures of themselves  riding bikes on the Facebook page “My Stealthy Freedom,” a site initially created for Iranian women to post pictures of themselves outside without the obligatory hijab.

CNN edited out a soundbite in which Hillary Clinton referred to 'bombings' then excoriated Trump for saying the same thing.
BY ELLIOT FRIEDLAND Mon, September 19, 2016
Both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump described the bombing in New York as a bombing, despite media efforts to brand the attack as “an explosion,” as reported by The Hill.

Clinton told CNN in the aftermath of the explosion, “I’ve been briefed about bombings in New York and New Jersey, and the attacks in Minnesota. Obviously, we need to do everything we can to support our first responders, also to pray for the victims. We have to let this investigation unfold. We’ve been in touch with various officials, including the mayor’s office in New York, to learn what they are discovering as they conduct this investigation. And I’ll have more to say about it when we actually know the facts.”

Clinton went on to praise the emergency services for their rapid response to the attack. In the clip that CNN aired, however, they edited out the first sentence that referred to the bomb.

This is despite blasting Trump for saying the same thing. He stated, “Just before I got off the plane, a bomb went off in New York and nobody knows exactly what’s going on,” a much shorter statement than Clinton’s, but which said essentially the same thing: There was a bomb, we don’t know much else.

He did add “we better get very tough folks. We’d better get very, very tough,” but stopped short of calling it terrorism saying, “We’ll see what it is.”

Clinton later called the explosions “apparent terrorist attacks,” speaking in a guarded way since she did not yet know all the facts, but still not shying away from acknowledging that the attacks bore the hallmarks of terrorism.

Clinton’s running mate, Tim Kaine, highlighted Clinton’s experience in dealing with terrorism.

“Hillary Clinton was New York Senator on 9/11 and was there at the World Trade Centers,” he told NBC’s Meet the Press. “They were still looking for survivors. And she’s been through this. It’s been a searing experience in her life. And she was part of the national security team that worked together to revive the hunt and wipe out [Osama] bin Laden. And so it is an important time where you have to have experience.”

Although calibrated to different audiences, both Clinton’s and Trump’s responses were actually remarkably similar.

Despite media assertions to the contrary, both said they didn’t know what was going on and did not jump the gun to describe the attacks as Islamist before the facts were known.

Since the candidates first spoke out, five more devices were found in a backpack in New Jersey, one of which exploded while a robot was attempting to disarm it.

At press time, the FBI had put out a notice searching for a suspect identified as Ahmad Khan Rahami, a naturalized U.S. citizen originally from Afghanistan.

“Anyone who sees this individual or knows anything about him or his whereabouts needs to call it in right away,” New York Mayor Bill de Blasio said on CNN.

The FBI warned that Rahami “should be considered armed and dangerous.

An ISIS-linked media outlet praised the man who stabbed nine people at the Crossroads Mall in St. Cloud as a “soldier of the Islamic state.”
Mon, September 19, 2016
The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack at the Crossroads Mall in St. Cloud, Minnesota in an online statement put out by the Amaq News Agency.
The terrorist wounded nine people before being killed by an off-duty police officer.
The Amaq News Agency is run by ISIS and is used to keep the group’s supporters and enemies around the world updated with ISIS military victories and terrorist acts, in accordance with how the group wishes to present itself.
“The person who carried out the stabbing action yesterday in Minnesota is a soldier of the Islamic State,” the statement read, “and he carried out the attack in response to the calls to target residents of the countries of the Crusader coalition.”
ISIS has repeatedly put out calls for supporters to carry out acts of terrorism in their countries of origin.
The 22-year-old terrorist was of Somali origin and asked victims if they were Muslim, stabbing them if they were not

Despite threatening to kill her and leaving her severely bruised, a Turkish court released the man saying that he had not committed any crime.
Mon, September 19, 2016
A man who kicked a woman in the face for wearing shorts while threatening to kill her has been released without charges by a Turkish court, reported the Daily Mail.
The court ruled that the man had committed no crime.
The incident occurred in Istanbul when the 35-year-old man attacked Ayşegül Terzi, a 23-year old nurse, on a bus. Shouting at her, “Those wearing shorts must die!” the man told the court he had been angered by the way the woman was dressed. “The shorts she was wearing were not appropriate. That's why I was angry and behaved so,” he said.
Terzi, who sustained severe bruising, was saved when three men stopped the attacker. The incident was caught on CCTV:

The allegations came as the U.S. confirms that two released Gitmo suspects rejoined terror groups.

An accused Al-Qaeda bomb maker currently incarcerated in the Guantanamo Bay military prison told US officials he suspected that an unnamed Saudi royal was involved in recruiting him to terrorism, according to The San Diego Union Tribune.
Ghassan Abdallah al-Sharbi told a review board that he had met with a religious figure that had a telephone conversation with a man he addressed as “your highness” before urging al-Sharbi to return to the U.S. and take part in a terror plot involving a plane.
The unnamed Saudi royal could be any one of thousands of princes in the vast House of Saud.
This conversation reportedly took place in early 2001, after al-Sharbi had returned to Saudi Arabia from Phoenix, Arizona where he had taken flight courses with two men who later went on to be among the 9/11 hijackers.
Al-Sharbi told the story in a statement recorded by the Periodic Review Board, which assesses whether detainees at the controversial facility are eligible for release. The board includes representatives from six different U.S. government agencies.
Al-Sharbi’s statement was posted to the Periodic Review Board website, with some sections redacted. He also spoke about his medical issues in the statement, which were causing him some distress.
The U.S. is attempting to release detainees from Guantanamo Bay since Obama wishes to fulfill his pre-election pledge to close the facility.
On Wednesday, the US government announced that two detainees who were released from Guantanamo Bay in the first six months of 2016 have since returned to fighting for militant groups.

A man who went on a stabbing spree in a Minnesota mall was heard to have made 'reference to Allah' and asked victims if they were Muslim.
Sun, September 18, 2016
A man who went on a stabbing spree in a Minnesota mall was heard by witnesses to have made “reference to Allah” and asked at least one of his victims if they were Muslim, reported Fox News.
Eight people were treated for wounds and released from a local hospital after a man dressed as a private security went on a rampage at the Crossroads Mall in St. Cloud, Minnesota. The man was shot and killed by an off-duty police officer from a difference jurisdiction.
St. Cloud Police Chief William Blair Anderson said the motive for the attack was not yet clear and only said, "We will be diligent and get to the bottom of this."
The man was unknown to the police department, except for previous traffic violations. St. Cloud is located about 70 miles northwest of Minneapolis.
Other attacks rocked America over the weekend. Motives for the attacks are still unknown, although the modus operandi of the attacks mimics Islamist terror attacks in the past. The attacks included:

US commandos running from US-funded rebels; a US-led coalition airstrike bombing Syrian regime positions during a cease-fire. What is the US doing?
“Christians and Americans have no place among us” one man screamed “They want to wage a crusader war to occupy Syria.”
Another yelled “The collaborators of America are dogs and pigs. They wage a crusader war against Syria and Islam.”
The confrontation was sparked when members of the FSA accused the Americans of supporting the Kurdish YPG militias, which America has been backing in their fight against ISIS, according to Charles Lister, a senior fellow at the Middle East Institute.
Turkey, which also backs Sunni rebels, wants to stymie Kurdish militias and frustrate their efforts to gain greater power and autonomy.
Meanwhile on Sunday a US led coalition airstrike killed at least 62 Syrian regime soldiers near Deir Ezzor airport, in a strike it says was aimed at ISIS positions  but accidentally hit the Syrian regime soldiers.
Russia and the Syrian regime slammed America for the strike saying it shows the US is backing ISIS.
Russia called an emergency UN meeting in response to the strike, incurring the ire of US Ambassador to the UN Samantha Power who excoriated Russia for their support of the Syrian regime.
The strike came as factions attempt to keep a fragile US-Russia brokered ceasefire which began on Monday. The ceasefire does not include the Islamic State or Jabhet Fateh el-Sham, formerly Al-Qaeda’s affiliate Jabhat al-Nusra.
The Syrian regime is expected to halt flying combat missions against opposition held areas. The situation is further complicated by the fact that many rebel groups coordinate with Jabhet Fateh el-Shams, most recently in the breaking of the siege of Aleppo, which was achieved by coordination across different rebel groups.
The ceasefire included a request from Russia for the US to differentiate between rebels involved with Jabhet Fateh el-Shams, which the US accepts is an enemy, and those who are not.

Displaying breathtaking hypocrisy, Iran’s foreign minister penned a searing op-ed blasting Saudi Arabia for exporting extremism.
BY ELLIOT FRIEDLAND Thu, September 15, 2016
Iran has taken to the illustrious pages of The New York Times to attack Saudi Arabia for its support of extremism worldwide. This is part of an escalating series of steps both countries have taken to criticize the other.

Saudi Arabia cut off relations with Iran in January after an angry mob stormed the Saudi embassy after Saudi Arabia executed a popular Shiite cleric.
Earlier this month, Saudi Arabia’s top cleric said that Iranians were not Muslims. Iran criticized Saudi handling of the hajj, the annual ritual pilgrimage to Mecca which was then beginning. Iran blasted Saudi Arabia as being the source of extremism in response, with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammed Javad Zarif saying, “Indeed; no resemblance between Islam of Iranians & most Muslims & bigoted extremism that Wahhabi top cleric & Saudi terror masters preach” on Twitter.
Now Zarif has taken to the New York Times to call on the West to “Rid the World of Wahhabism,” the extremist form of Islam practiced in Saudi Arabia.
“While the 2003 American-led invasion of Iraq set in motion the fighting we see today,” Zarif wrote, “the key driver of violence has been this extremist ideology promoted by Saudi Arabia — even if it was invisible to Western eyes until the tragedy of 9/11.”
Zarif is correct that Saudi money has been funding Islamism worldwide for decades. In 2008,  UK’s Channel Four estimated that Saudi Arabia spent $100 billion on promoting Wahhabism in the 10 years prior and that number has only increased.
Saudi Prince Alaweed bin Talal gave $20 million each to Harvard and to Georgetown Universities to endow four professorships in Islamic studies and to expand the “HRH Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding.” It is expected that such large gifts come with strings attached.
(This is presumably why Georgetown’s “Bridge Initiative” spends so much time tackling “Islamophobia” and trying to discredit Muslim human rights activists and so little time talking about challenging extremism.)

A recent parliamentary committee described Britain failure to protect its citizens from the horrific procedure a ‘national scandal.’
Thu, September 15, 2016
Despite being illegal for the last 30 years, the number of cases of female genital mutilation (FGM) is increasing rapidly in the UK.

In Birmingham alone, the number of cases discovered in the last three months has more than doubled, with 120 women and girls reported to have undergone the brutal practice. In Bristol, 75 new cases were discovered between April and June, according to the Health and Social Care Information Centre.
Doctors and health-care professional are now legally required to report cases of FGM.  The number does not necessarily reflect new cases, but rather includes any woman who has sought health care and it is discovered that she was subjected to FGM.
A recent parliamentary committee described Britain failure to protect its citizens from the horrific procedure a “national scandal,” saying it was “beyond belief” that no one has ever been prosecuted in the UK for the crime.
The committee stated: “FGM is not a religious or cultural rite of passage that deserves protection. When it is inflicted on a woman, it is a horrific crime. When it is inflicted on a girl, it is violent child abuse. It involves young girls’ genitalia being cut with scissors, a razor, a knife or even glass, usually with no anesthetic or antiseptic.
“Everyone involved in protecting children needs to be aware of, and prevent, this specific form of abuse.”
The committee made recommendations, particularly to stop the phenomenon of “vacation cutting,” where girls are taken to their native countries during the summer break from school and subjected to FGM.
Leyla Hussein, an FGM victim and now a prominent anti-FGM activist, had launched a petition campaign asking the government to action on the issue.
“It’s not a cultural practice, it’s child abuse,” said Hussein.  “We need to stop treating it like a new thing, or an exotic other – it’s not. Until that changes, we’ll still be having these conversations in another 30 years.”

Joseph Schreiber, the suspect, was tracked down through surveillance cameras and tips. He has a history of anti-Islamic posts on Facebook.
Thu, September 15, 2016
An arrest was made in the arson attack of the Islamic Center of Fort Pierce, the mosque where Omar Mateen, the Orlando gunman who killed 49 at the Pulse nightclub, worshipped.

The New York Times reported that Joseph M. Schreiber, 32, of Port St. Lucie, the suspect, was matched by police to surveillance footage of the incident which showed a man on a motorcycle leaving the mosque after the fire started. The cameras caught the man approaching the mosque with paper and a bottle after which a flash of flames can be seen.
Police also acted on tips from the community.
An investigation showed that Schieber had “multiple anti-Islamic posts and comments” on his Facebook page, according to Maj. David Thompson, director of law enforcement at the sheriff’s office. One post read, “There is no such a thing as radical ISLAMIC extremism...ALL ISLAM IS RADICAL.”
In addition to Mateen, the mosque was also the frequent place of worship for Moner Mohammad Abusalha, who was responsible for a suicide bombing in Syria in 2014.
At present, Schreiber has been charged with second-degree arson. If he is also charged with a hate crime, the charges will be changed to first-degree arson.
No one was injured in the fire, which damaged the roof of the mosque’s main building.

Prominent human rights lawyer Matthew Ryder QC spoke at an event hosted by Hizb ut-Tahrir-linked advocacy group CAGE in 2013.
Thu, September 15, 2016
London Mayor Sadiq Khan has appointed a new “integration deputy” who spoke at an event run by the extremist-linked group CAGE.

Matthew Ryder, a prominent human rights lawyer, spoke at a 2013 event hosted by CAGE titled “Travelling While Muslim.” He spoke about a case he was working on defending a woman who was prosecuted for failing to answer questions as mandated under Schedule Seven of the 2000 Terrorism Act. He specializes in human rights, media and privacy and is trained to speak at both the International Court of Human Rights and the European Court of Human Rights.
CAGE is most notorious for praising Islamic State executioner Jihadi John (Mohammed Emwazi) as a “beautiful young man.”
Asim Qureshi, then CAGE director, who praised Jihadi John, introduced Ryder at the event.
International human rights group Amnesty International severed ties with CAGE over its Islamist links in 2015 after the incident. The Islamic State advised its supporters in the West to visit the CAGE website for tips on how to evade the authorities.
You can watch Ryder’s full speech at CAGE here:CagePrisoners: Travelling While Muslim - Matthew Ryder

Sadiq Khan praised his new colleague, whose full title is Deputy Mayor for Social Integration, Social Mobility and Community Engagement.

That women are fighting ISIS in battle carries more importance than that of practicality. It is the first nail in the coffin of the group’s twisted ideology
BY CODI ROBERTSON Mon, September 12, 2016
The gradual collapse of the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) is coming partly at the hands of women fighters -- something that at first thought may seem only trivial -- but, in reality is actually quite profound.

Many tenets of ISIS regards women and their treatment.  Women are treated as second-class citizens, at best, with their main duty being to produce and raise new jihadists.  These, of course, are the women who are “fortunate” enough to both be Muslim and a part of ISIS.  For those women who a part of enemy groups, a much more horrific fate awaits them.

Just over two years ago, the Yazidi homeland was sacked by ISIS members.  Many men were killed and the women were taken into captivity to be used as sex slaves.  Much has been said over the past two years about the experiences of these women, all of what has been said has painted a nightmarish picture.

Yet, it is some of these same women who are now coming back to fight ISIS along with other women (Kurdish women).
According to Meredith Tax, it is the Kurdish liberation movement that is largely responsible for empowering these Yazidi women. “The Kurdish liberation movement’s approach...emphasizes self-defense in both military and social terms,” says Tax. “Female guerrillas are meant to be seen as exemplars who show that female leadership is crucial in every sphere of society.
“In Rojava’s system of autonomous democracy (the area is within Syria’s borders), there are strong mandates for the participation of women in governance, and all organizations are led by both a man and a woman. Committees of women have real authority over problems like forced marriage and domestic violence.”
But even more important is the symbolic aspect.  Since central to ISIS’ belief system is misogyny and the subjugation of women, then it is all the more important that it be women who play integral roles in ISIS’ downfall.  The very act of them helping to defeat ISIS shows the inaccuracy of their beliefs.  Women are not weak or inferior.  They are just as capable of fighting for their freedom as men are.
As Fatima Sadiqi puts it, “In the long term, images of women actually killing and capturing ISIS fighters amount to the first nail in the coffin of the group’s ideology, which is founded on the false premise of feminine inferiority.”
While the defeat of ISIS will be sweet for many, it will be sweetest for those women who have felt the full force of this ghastly regime.

15 Years Since 9/11: Is Al-Qaeda's 20-Yr Plan Coming To Fruition?
How does the 'War on Terror' look 15 years after the worst terrorist attack in American history? Al-Qaeda's 20-year plan is scarily close to reality.
BY ELLIOT FRIEDLAND Sun, September 11, 2016
Today marks 15 years since Al-Qaeda attacked the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, murdering 2, 977 people. Since that day, in 2001, at least another 1,000 people have died from illnesses caused by exposure to debris from the failing towers.

This short clip shows the World Trade Center after it was hit:
A US-led NATO taskforce invaded Afghanistan shortly afterwards to remove the Taliban, and to find and capture Osama bin Laden. Bin Laden is now dead, but Afghanistan is still at war. Al-Qaeda’s successor organization, the Islamic State (ISIS, ISIL), has established a state of sorts across swathes of Syria and Iraq. Al-Qaeda itself is an active participant in Syria’s increasingly complicated civil war.
Since the attack, efforts to defeat terrorism have eluded success. Here are three things to bear in mind:
With the collapse of the USSR, Islamism is the only ideological alternative to Western hegemony
Islamism is a comprehensive political system that offers a total ideological alternative to the mainstream Western consensus of democracies enforcing liberal values, backed by American hard power. Since international communism collapsed, those opposed to this system have been left without an ideological home.

This fact puts into perspective the close relationship between sections of the hard left, such as the UK’s Jeremy Corbyn or Code Pink’s Medea Benjamin, with totalitarian Islamists such as Hamas or insurgents fighting American forces in Iraq. Both Corbyn and Benjamin transitioned seamlessly from traditional left-wing and socialist/communist alignment to apologism for terrorist groups who were deemed to be oppressed, as part of a broader strategy of defiance against American and Western power. In 2009, Corbyn called Hamas a force for “social good” and his “friends,” while in 2004, Benjamin collected $600,000 in medical supplies and cash to deliver to the families of terrorist insurgents fighting the U.S. in Iraq.

The bill passed Congress unanimously. But Obama will wait until Congress is out of session to 'pocket veto' it. It will then have to be reintroduced yet again.

Even though both the Senate and the House passed a long-awaited bill that would allow families and survivors of the 9/11 terrorist attacks to sue the government of Saudi Arabia for damages, the bill will most likely not become law anytime soon.
The bill passed the Senate the bill unanimously in May, while the House passed the bill by a unanimous voice votes last Friday. The bill will now be sent to the president to approve or veto.
Speaking Monday at a daily briefing for the press, White House Spokesperson Josh Earnest told reporters that he anticipates that U.S. President Barack Obama will veto the bill.
"It's not hard to imagine other countries using this law as an excuse to haul U.S. diplomats or U.S. service members or even U.S. companies into courts all around the world," Earnest remarked.
Although the bill appears to have enough support to override a presidential veto (two-thirds are needed in both the Senate and the House), it most likely will not come to a vote.
According to the law, the president has 10 days to act on any bill sent to him for approval. However, a constitutional loophole allows a bill to be vetoed by the president if Congress out of session and unable to vote to override the veto.

Terror Attacks Are Stopped Every Day Say, America and France
Facebook censored a video allegedly showing the execution of gay people by jihadis in Libya from the page "Should America Fear Sharia."

Facebook has banned a video titled “Should America Fear Sharia?” posted on the Center for Security Policy’s page. The 45-second video purportedly shows gay people being hurled from a roof in Libya. You can hear the sickening thud of the bodies as they hit the pavement, following immediately by jubilant shouts of “Allahu Akbar” from the terrorists.
The clip is still available on YouTube.
Warning: This clip contains graphic and distressing images:

“In a situation where it’s Facebook or these things, that’s not a government suppression,” Center for Security Policy’s Executive Vice President Jim Hanson told AlphaNews. “They can do whatever they want, they’re private companies, but it has an element of what we consider free speech. We don’t think it’s particularly good to have folks saying, ‘No you can’t talk about that. You can’t mention that because it bothers us.’ Well sorry. That’s what we do here.”

US Welcomes 11,491 Syrians, But Where Are the Christians?
Only 0.46% of the Syrian refugees allowed into the US over the last year are Christian despite the US agreeing they are suffering a genocide.
BY ELLIOT FRIEDLAND Tue, September 13, 2016
The United States is already 15% over its target of allowing 10,000 Syrian refugees into the country for the fiscal year 2016. There are still three weeks left to go and, as of the beginning of the week, 11,491 Syrians have been resettled in America.

However, of those allowed in, just 58 are Christians, amounting to 0.46%.

They are:

14 Catholics
6 Orthodox
4 Protestants
1 Greek Orthodox
29 undefined
4 Jehovah’s Witnesses
This is a shockingly low number, especially given the persecution faced by Christians across the Middle East and North Africa. The Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) and other jihadist groups deliberately target Christians forcing them to pay the jizya (a subjugation tax), convert to Islam or die.

In March, the U.S. State Department declared that the campaign of ISIS against the Christians constitutes genocide.
Yet 98% of those allowed into the country were Sunni Muslims.
The Yazidis, who have also faced a concerted campaign to eradicate them by the Islamic State, have also not been allowed entry en masse into the United States. Only 18 Yazidis have been allowed in this year.
If the U.S. is only allowing limited numbers of refugees into the country, why not prioritize those from the most vulnerable groups, namely Christians, Yazidis and other minorities?
If the U.S. agrees that the actions of ISIS against the Christians of Syria and Iraq constitute genocide, surely they have a moral obligation to act to try and save them.
Otherwise the classification is mere empty words.

Al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri used a 9/11 video to try and exploit American racial tensions to recruit more terrorists for his cause.
BY ELLIOT FRIEDLAND Wed, September 14, 2016
Al-Qaeda used a 9/11 video message to call on the black community in America to convert to Islam, citing their history of oppression at the hands of the white majority.
Al-Qaeda chief Ayman al-Zawahiri said in the film:
“We inform every weakened [person] in the world: America is the source of calamity and the head of evil in this world, and it is the thief of nations’ ailment, and it is the one who humiliates the Africans [i.e. African Americans] until this day, and no matter how much they try to reform and obtain their rights according to the law and the [U.S.] Constitution, they will not attain it, for the law is in the hands of the white majority, [who] control it as they wish. And they [i.e. African Americans] will not be saved but by Islam.”
The video also includes quotes from the late Malcolm X preaching the virtues of fighting back against racist aggression and against the "turn the other cheek" model espoused by Christianity.
This follows from Al-Qaeda and other terrorist groups attempting to manipulate America’s racial tensions for their own purposes.

Marine Drill Sergeant Put Muslim Recruit in Tumble Dryer
The sergeant reportedly screamed at the recruit, “You're going to kill us all the first chance you get aren't you, terrorist?”
BY ELLIOT FRIEDLAND Wed, September 14, 2016
A Muslim recruit to the U.S. Marine corps was forced into an industrial tumble dryer and subjected to anti-Muslim abuse by a drill sergeant, according to an investigation into abuse at the Parris Island training facility in South Carolina.
The sergeant is said to have screamed, “You're going to kill us all the first chance you get aren't you, terrorist” and accused him of participating in the 9/11 attacks. He also alleged shouted, “What are your plans? Aren't you a terrorist?”
The sergeant reportedly turned on the dryer, burning the recruit’s neck and arms.
Although the alleged incident took place in November 2015, it has only now come to light, with the Washington Post reviewing the investigative documents.
The same sergeant was also implicated in the death of another recruit, Raheel Siddiqui, who had Pakistani origins. Siddiqui leapt 40 feet to his death from a stairwell while running from the sergeant who had just slapped him.
Such actions are clearly cases of anti-Muslim bigotry.

Ornella Gilligman, mother of three who tried to explode gas canisters near Paris' Notre Dame Cathedral, was part of an all-female ISIS cell.
The female jihadi who left a car filled with gas canisters near the famous Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris confessed that her preferred target had been the iconic Eiffel Tower.
Ornella Gilligman, 29 and the mother of three children, was part of an all-woman’s Islamic State terror cell and the first-such woman to be charged by French authorities.
Gilligman was caught through fingerprints she left in her car, which was discovered parked near the cathedral by an alert resident. Gilligman fled the car after unsuccessfully trying to set it on fire.
When police arrived, they discovered a still-burning cigarette inside with three canisters filled with gas.
Police were then able to track Gilligman to the south of France where she was attempting to flee with her boyfriend to Spain. The two were arrested at a gas station near the city of Orange, however, he boyfriend has since been released without charges.
French authorities identified the other members of the cell as Ines Madani, 19, Sarah Hervouet, 23, and Amel Sakaou, 39, and said they were all “determined to cause carnage in Paris.”
All of the other women were captured in a raid on a flat in Boussy-Saint-Antoine, south of Paris. Madani was shot and wounded in the operation and was discovered with a letter of her last testaments and a pledge to the Islamic State.

Trudeau should investigate history and he would find it has been tried before. Appeasing Islamists just doesn't work. (Hint: it's because of the ideology.)
BY MEIRA SVIRSKY Wed, September 14, 2016Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s penchant for pandering to Islamists was on full display this week when he visited the Ottawa Muslim Association’s mosque Monday whose lead imam is a member of group which has been designated as a terrorist organization abroad.
Trudeau visited the mosque in honor of the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha.
The Toronto Sun reported that the Ottawa Muslim Association is led by Samy Metwally, who, according to the mosque’s website, is a member of the International Union for Muslim Scholars (IUMS).”
IUMS was founded and is led by Yusuf al-Qaradawi, one of the most influential extremist hate preachers in the Muslim world and the spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Qaradawi has been banned from entering France, the U.S. and the UK.  After the downfall of Egypt’s Islamist and Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated President Mohammed Morsi, Qaradawi posted a video online calling on all Muslims from all over the world to go to Egypt and wage jihad with their lives to restore power to the Muslim Brotherhood.
Subsequently, a “red alert” for his arrest was issued by Interpol, the international police agency.

Two brutal honor killings of Syrian women took place recently, one in Lebanon, and one in Germany.

Why Honor-Kill Your Sister AND Have Child Porn on Your Phone?
Two brutal honor killings of Syrian women took place recently, one in Lebanon, and one in Germany.
On September 3 the trial of two Syrian brothers charged with killing their pregnant sister began in a regional court in Hessen, Germany.
Mustafa, 22, admitted stabbing his sister Ramia, 30, 15 times in the chest and neck. Both her and her unborn child were killed.
He claimed she had dishonored the family.
The older brother, Muhammed, 26, is charged with failing to act to save his sister who was still alive initially after the assault.
Police arrested the two brothers hours after the incident. They also found child pornography on the cellphone of the older brother Muhammed.
He will be charged about the child pornography separately.
Ramia’s husband had threatened her with divorce because he was told she had a romantic affair with a man living in Egypt. She sent him dozens of sexually explicit video clips and her brothers found out about this story.

Islamic State has banned the wearing of burqas (that they had made obligatory on every woman) for security reasons. The ban comes after a fully veiled woman in Mosul killed five Islamic State jihadis with a pistol fitted with a silencer. The woman disappeared and has yet to be found.
The Islamic State has banned soccer referees in Deir Ezzor, an eastern province of Syria, on the ground (Photo: Flickr/Julian Carvajal)
that the referees are “in violation of the command of Allah and the Sunnah” because they “do not judge according to what Allah has revealed.”
Soccer will now be planned under new sharia rules, where by an injured player will receive compensation from the player who caused the damage. In addition, according to Salafi scholars, whether or not referees should even be present at games and whether or not games should be played at all is questionable.

U.S. Defense Department officials report it was the fourth incident of its kind in a month and one of 31 similar incidents this year.
Wed, September 7, 2016
An Iranian fast attack boat caused a U.S. Navy patrol ship in the Persian Gulf to change its course after the Iranian craft came with 100 yards (91 meters) of the vessel, as reported by Yahoo News. (See video of the incident below.)
The report by U.S. Defense Department officials said it was the fourth incident of its kind in a month and one of 31 similar incidents this year. Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a Defense Department official said that the move was "unsafe and unprofessional due to lack of communications and the close-range harassing maneuvering.”
He added that manned weapons could be seen openly on the Iranian boat.
"We don't see this type of unsafe and unprofessional activity from any other nation," the official added.
Pentagon Spokesperson Captain Jeff Davis described the incident, saying seven Iranian boats “harassed” the U.S. patrol ship, which was located at the time in the center of the gulf. The maneuver caused the USS Firebolt, which measures 174-feet (53 meters) long, to change its course.

Are Trump, Wilders, Farage and Le Pen Really Like ISIS?
The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights blasted the Western populists as selling the same essential message as ISIS.
BY ELLIOT FRIEDLAND Tue, September 6, 2016
The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra'ad al-Hussein slammed European and American right-wing leaders as populist bigots, comparing their campaigning style to that of the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL).
The commissioner made the accusations in a speech to the U.S. Peace, Justice and Security Foundation gala last night and addressed his remarks to "Mr. Geert Wilders, his acolytes, indeed to all those like him – the populists, demagogues and political fantasists”
You can read his full speech here.
Boasting about his status as a human rights crusader, al-Hussein tore into Wilders’ electoral pledge to ban Muslim immigration and close all mosques in Holland.
He drew connections between all populist anti-Islamic movements in the West, arguing “what Mr. Wilders shares in common with Mr. Trump, Mr. Orban, Mr. Zeman, Mr. Hofer, Mr. Fico, Madame Le Pen, Mr. Farage, he also shares with Da’esh.”
“All seek in varying degrees to recover a past, halcyon and so pure in form, where sunlit fields are settled by peoples united by ethnicity or religion – living peacefully in isolation, pilots of their fate, free of crime, foreign influence and war.  A past that most certainly, in reality, did not exist anywhere, ever. Europe’s past, as we all know, was for centuries anything but that.”
To a certain extent he is right. The message of “taking our country back” to “make America great again” (Trump) is the same call to arms sounded by Farage’s “take back control” slogan in the Brexit campaign. Wilders is leading in the polls because he wants to halt Muslim immigration, not in spite of that policy, and he very definitely wants to assert Dutch identity and Dutch culture.

Ghislaim Gilberti and his 12-year-old son were brutally beaten in Belfort, France over objections to his thriller novel that features a jihadi group.
Wed, September 7, 2016
After being harassed for months after writing a thriller novel about jihadists, author Ghislaim Gilberti and his 12-year-old son were brutally attacked in Belfort, France, as reported by L’Est Republicain.
Four men between the ages of 20 and 30 who were reported to be Salafist Muslims confronted Gilberti as he was walking with his 12-year old son and 11-year old daughter.
Kncking him down with blows to his back and pinning him to the ground while they beat him, the men called Gilberti a “filthy white.” Gilberti lost consciousness in the attack, waking up in the hospital with multiple injuries, including a broken arm that required surgery.
The men kicked his son in the stomach and in the head and shouted at his daughter, “It’s the same price for you” and, “We don’t forgive, we don’t forget!”
Gilbert is known as an anti-fascist activist and had been under temporary police protection last March. Salafists had made death threats against Gilberti and his children and continually banged on his door, trying to break in through a number of windows.

While advances have been made for Iranian women in parliament, activists now face ‘enemy of the state’ accusations.
Hassan Rouhani, president of Iran since 2013, gave many women in Iran grounds for hope when he appointed Shahindokht Molaverdi to be his deputy minister for women’s affairs.  What is especially compelling about Molaverdi is that while holding progressive views regarding gender equality, she is also a devout Muslim - something that both seems to help her attempts to fight for women’s rights in Iran and hurt her.
For some, it gives her credibility and makes her less threatening, but for others, the hard-liners, it makes her more threatening as she seems to act as a subversive agent, aiming to bring down traditional Islamic values.
What gains Molaverdi the most respect, however, is her determination to work within the Iranian political system.  One way in which she expresses this determination is through her reluctance to call herself a feminist, a term that is currently considered a dirty work in Iran.

Historically, violent and civilizational jihad has changed the demographic character and culture of entire nations in much of the world.
BY WILLIAM REED Thu, September 8, 2016
The Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) made a call to its cells in Europe through an encrypted text message in English, French, and Arabic on the social media over the weekend.
The Turkish news outlet NTV reported that via the ISIS-affiliated “Nasir Foundation,” the terror group sent a message to its members and sympathizers in Europe who are preparing for attacks, telling them to “either act immediately or annihilate all organizational information they possess.”
“Our brothers and sisters in Europe and especially in France, hurry up to carry out your acts. Also, be careful and cautious,” ordered the terror group.
“We hear that a lot of our brothers get arrested before carrying out their acts. We suggest you to delete all of the information and messages in your devices relating the Islamic State including photos, videos and applications. We also suggest you to carry out your acts before it is too late.”
ISIS allegedly made the warning after Syrian-born Abu Muhammad al-Adnani, the official spokesperson and a senior leader of the Islamic State, was killed in Aleppo. The U.S. and Russia both announced in separate statements that they killed al-Adnani in their airstrikes.
Since al-Adnani’s death, there have been calls for revenge attacks to be carried out by jihadist operatives, the Daily Mail reported.

Saudi women are striking back against male guardianship laws on Twitter, sharing their stories.#StopEnslavingSaudiWomen
BY ELLIOT FRIEDLAND Thu, September 8, 2016
#StopEnslavingSaudiWomen is trending on Twitter in the latest campaign of women fighting for their rights in Saudi Arabia.
Women in Saudi Arabia are unable to travel, work or get a higher education without the permission of their male guardian (among a number of other restrictions). This is either their closest male relative or their husband.  For a woman who is widowed, her “guardian” might even be her son.
But Saudi women are chafing under these restrictive laws and are increasingly voicing their opposition.
In addition to #StopEnslavingSaudiWomen trending in both Arabic and English, #TogetherToEndMaleGuardianship has also been popular on Twitter..
“It's a unified effort by Saudi Women in attempt to voice their struggle in the only legal way that they can in Saudi Arabia,” the head of S.A.F.E. a campaign to end male guardianship in Saudi Arabia Isaac Cohen said.
Human Rights Watch launched a video campaign along with a report into the harmful abuses meted out under Saudi Arabia’s male guardianship laws.

Women’s Boat to Gaza Won’t Even Carry Aid
The activists have made no attempt to criticize Hamas for its terrorist activities or stealing aid money despite the negative impact on Palestinian lives.
BY ELLIOT FRIEDLAND Thu, September 8, 2016
The ‘Women’s Boat to Gaza’ is a project to carry a boatload of female activists from Washington, D.C. to Gaza where they will attempt to breach the blockade of the territory. Israel and Egypt have maintained an embargo on the strip since the Muslim Brotherhood affiliate Hamas took over in 2007.
Israel says it will lift the blockade if and when Hamas renounces the use of terrorism and begins negotiations.
In 2010 a previous flotilla, the Mavi Marmara, the lead boat, attempted to breach the blockade. Forty passengers attacked a small group of Israeli soldiers who boarded the ship with knives, iron rods and firebombs; the soldiers responded with open fire, resulting in the death of 10 Turkish activists. Israel had offered to take the flotilla to an Israeli port and send any aid that was brought into Gaza after the required security checks were made.
The 2011 UN Palmer Report censured Israel for excessive use of force in halting the flotilla. The report also concluded: “Israel faces a real threat to its security from militant groups in Gaza … The naval blockade was imposed as a legitimate security measure in order to prevent weapons from entering Gaza by sea and its implementation complied with the requirements of international law.”

A drive to vaccinate 25 million people was launched by the Nigerian government after two toddlers with polio were found in a refugee camp.
The first two cases of polio in Nigeria in two years were found in a refugee camp at the beginning of August spurring a massive emergency vaccination campaign. The government aims to reach 25 million children and vaccinated 1.5 million in the past week alone.
Two toddlers with polio were found in a refugee camp for those displaced by the Islamic State affiliate Boko Haram.
A global campaign to eradicate the disease has been underway since 1988. The campaign has driven polio from 122 countries. Just three are remaining: Nigeria, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Previously, the campaign has fought misconceptions that vaccinators wanted to sterilize Muslims as part of a Western plot. Now they are being attacked by Boko Haram fighters.
Although only two cases were found it is feared there are more cases as yet undiscovered. Only 1 in 200 people with polio suffer the paralysis that led to the discovery of the first two cases.
There is also another hurdle however. Campaign monitoring data suggests that only one percent of communities object to vaccination campaigns on religious grounds. Yet community leaders sometimes engage in a practice dubbed “block resistance” where they refuse to receive the vaccine until demands for other services from the government are met.

800 Clothing stores were shut down for selling un-Islamic coats for women, plus four more news items that will make you seethe about Iran.
Iranian authorities have become alarmed over the presence of Western sayings on the back of the obligatory coats that women are forced to wear in the Islamic Republic.  State police have closed more than 800 clothing stores for selling the coats and sent warnings to over 3,600 others that the coats are not within the dress code for women enforced by the regime.
Women in Iran are required to wear a manteau in public, a loose coat that covers the body from the shoulders to (at least) the knees. Not only were the objectionable coats found to have English writing on them – often times nonsensical – they were short sleeved and open in the front (with no buttons for closure).
Female MP Zohreh Tabibzadeh said of the coats, “This is an ugly manifestation of a Western trend that has entered our country with evil intentions devised behind the scenes.”
Similarly commenting was Minoo Aslani of the Women’s Basij (state voluntary militia) Organization, who said, “The spread of these kinds of products are against public morality and indicate a lack of attention by the officials in charge of cultural matters.”

US Homeland Security Chief Speaks At Brotherhood-Linked Conference
Jeh Johnson spoke at the annual Islamic Society of America event telling participants, 'Your story is the quintessential American story.'
Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson spoke at the annual Islamic Society of America (ISNA) conference over the weekend, in what the Washington Post called an “impassioned speech” to empower ISNA’s participants.
ISNA is a group with Muslim Brotherhood origins and an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation terror-financing trial. In fact, the Holy Land Foundation was based within the ISNA building. ISNA also deposited checks into its account that were made out to the “Palestinian Mujahadeen [jihadi fighters],” the name used at the time for Hamas’s military wing. The funding was transferred to the Holy Land Foundation.

Kimberly Miners says she found ‘peace’ in Islam. ‘I’ve shared a lot of bombs and stuff [on Facebook]; I’ve shared a lot of videos,’ she says. Mon, September 5, 2016
British officials fear that a former topless model in the UK is being groomed to become a jihadi bride.
The Daily Mail reports that Kimberly Miners, 27, who is reportedly now goes by the name of Aisha Lauren al-Britaniya since her conversion to Islam, has been warned by British secret service MI5 that she will be arrested if she continues to contact ISIS recruiters online.
Miners was a “Page 3” model for the British newspaper The Sun, a tabloid that features different young, topless women on page 3 of its publication every day.
Miners has been communicating on Facebook with Abu Usama Al Britani, who is believed to be an ISI recruiter. The Sunday Times reported that Miners said she has found “peace’ in Islam.
She also noted, “I’ve shared a lot of bombs and stuff [on Facebook]; I’ve shared a lot of videos.”

A new, gruesome propaganda video centers around the accidental shooting down of a Iranian commercial plane by the U.S. Navy in 1988.  Sun, September 4, 2016
Ramping up its rhetoric against America, Iran released a propaganda music video (see below) depicting the destruction of the U.S. Fifth Fleet , including all its personnel, through a miracle of Allah.
The seven-minute video titled “We Resist to the Last Drop of Blood” was produced for the Art Bureau’s Soureh Film Club, which is owned by the Islamic Propagation Organization.
The head of the organization is appointed directly by Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei. The film, which cost $385,000 (12 billion rials) to produce is being shared on Iranian media and social media.
The video centers around an incident which occurred on July 3, 1988, when the U.S. Navy accidentally shot down Iran Air flight 655, killing all 290 people on board.

The anti-immigrant AFD pushed the Christian Democratic Union into third place in elections in Chancellor Angela Merkel's home state.
Mon, September 5, 2016
The right wing “Alternative Fuer Deutschland” party (AFD) thrashed the ruling Christian Democratic Union party (CDU), putting them in third place in the regional elections held in German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s home state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern on Sunday, according to exit polls.
According to projection by ARD TV, the ruling left wing SDP won 30.2%, down from 35.6% in 2011. AFD won 21.9%. CDU received 19%, the party’s worst result ever in the state, down from 23% in 2011.
The AFD is making gains by opposing Merkel’s open-door immigration policies and calling for a crackdown not only on Islamic extremism but also on public expressions of Islam. Last Thursday, a member of the Thuringian state parliament for the AFD entered parliament wearing a niqab as a protest against the face veil.
"This isn't pretty for us," Michael Grosse-Broemer, one of Merkel's top parliamentary deputies in Berlin told ZDF TV. "Those who voted for the AFD were sending a message of protest.”
“This is a slap in the face for Merkel -- not only in Berlin but also in her home state," Frauke Petry, co-leader of the AFD, told the press. "The voters made a clear statement against Merkel's disastrous immigration policies. This put her in her place.”
Fears about immigrants are rising in Germany and Merkel’s approval rating has tumbled to 45%.

If you’ve just started high school, 9/11 happened before you were born and you’ve never known a world without Islamist terrorism.
BY ELLIOT FRIEDLAND Sun, September 4, 2016
If you were born in late 2001 or in 2002, you will have just started high school. As pointed out on Reddit, this means that this year marks the first school year where high school students may learn about 9/11 as a historical event that happened before they were born.
This marks a sea-change in the way in which Americans will relate to 9/11. Those who were adults at the time remember the event vividly. Many people can remember exactly where they were when they heard the news. Perhaps more importantly, they remember the way things were before the attack and the political impact of how 9/11 shaped America’s relationship with the world, especially with the Islamic world.
People, like this author, who were children at the time of the attack, remember the event. I remember my great-aunt, who lived and still lives in Brooklyn crying on our sofa when I came home from school. I remember being told about it in very clear binary terms -- terms a 10-year old could understand. Who did this? Bad people. Why? Because they hate us and they believe their God wants them to hate and kill us. (I’m British but even as a 10-year old it was framed as an attack on a broader Western “us” rather than just against America).
This is already one step removed from the event, because although I know what happened, I don’t really know what is what life was like before people were worried about Islamist extremism.

Tolerance of radical Islam may be the price that Ireland is willing to pay in order to be spared the terror attacks that have plagued Europe.  BY LESLIE SHAW Sun, September 4, 2016
For the past three years, the Irish government has been lobbying the Egyptian government in favor of Ibrahim Halawa, son of Sheikh Hussein Halawa, imam of the Clonskeagh mosque which is attached to the Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland.
Halawa was arrested by Cairo police in August 2013 during the occupation of the Al-Fath mosque by Islamic extremists. Despite representations on his behalf by Irish officials, his family in Ireland is accusing the Irish government of racism for not doing enough to get Halawa released, although under international law, Ireland cannot interfere in legal proceedings in another country.
Sheikh Halawa is also the general secretary of the European Council for Fatwa and Research (ECFR), the main rule-making body for the Muslim Brotherhood, which is located in the mosque.
The ECFR is led by Halawa's colleague Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, the religious leader of the Muslim Brotherhood and one of the most extreme Muslim clerics in the world. Al-Qaradawi is banned from entering the U.S. and the UK because of his support for terrorism.

Alert security forces protected a small community in what is being called the first such intervention by security forces in Pakistan.
BY KALEEM DEAN Sun, September 4, 2016
A massacre of a Christian community near Peshawar was prevented by alert security forces Friday morning, in what is being called the first such intervention for a Christian community in Pakistan.
"Though in great fear of another attack, Pakistani Christians have praised security forces. The current government have a long way to go but are exhibiting signs of good governance towards minorities,” said Wilson Chowdhry, chairman of the British Pakistani Christian Association.
“The fact that Christians are so often the target in terrorist plots is starting register and security strategies have improved as a consequence. Even then something has to be done to exterminate both the extremists group and the pervading hatred for minorities amongst the general populace, that together make life for Pakistani Christians and other minorities in Pakistan untenable," he added.
Chowdhry was previously interviewed about the status of Christians in Pakistan by Clarion Project.
The Christian community that came under attack is located near the Warsak Dam on the Pakistan-Afganistan border. The community, which consists of about 30 families, consists of houses, a small school and a church.

Social media users are resorting to humor to describe stabbing attacks where the attacker shouts “Allahu Akbar,” but police say the motive is unknown.
How do you describe an attack in which a person shouts “Allahu Akbar” (God is great) before attacking someone? Especially if the police go on to say they do not know the motive?
Social media users fed up of the inability of mainstream media outlets and governmental organizations to label terrorist attacks motivated by the Islamist ideology have decided to term it #allahuakbarsyndrome.
The “syndrome” is described in mocking terms as a sudden-onset mental illness that is spreading throughout the world, seemingly with no underlying cause.

Court records unsealed on Monday alleged that Sebastian Gregerson told an FBI agent he wanted to kill local Muslim leaders and praised ISIS.
Wed, August 31, 2016
A Detroit man arrested for possession of an arsenal of illegal weaponry including grenades and assault rifles was a vocal Islamic State (ISIS, ISIL) supporter, according to court documents unsealed on Monday.
The FBI tracked Sebastian Gregerson, a Muslim convert,  in a 16-month investigation and alleged that he gathered his arsenal with the intent to carry out a terrorist attack. FBI agents obtained a search warrant to investigate his home.
An affidavit says Gregerson, who also went by the name of Abdurrahman Bin Mikaayl, plotted armed attacks against local Muslim leaders. In May, an undercover agent met with Gregerson in a restaurant when a group of local Muslim leaders entered.
“Gregerson recognized the men. He then proceeded to talk with (the agent) about committing violent acts against them. He described the scenario ‘like shooting fish in a barrel’” the affidavit stated.
Gregerson has not been charged with any terrorism offences and instead is facing charges of unregistered possession of a destructive device and unlicensed receipt of explosive materials.
According to the court record, Gregerson had purchased:
Hundreds of rounds of ammunition for AK-47s
Tactical gear
Training video for AK-47s
Commercial-grade road spikes (used to slow or disable vehicles)
A semi-automatic rifle
A pistol
Grenades and grenade-launchers
A Machete
He told undercover agents he had in his possession grenades and grenade launchers and said he wanted to buy smoke and fragmentation grenades and an anti-personnel mine (containing explosives and steel balls).
If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison.

The Islamist transformation of Turkey is making it look like the “new” Iran of the Middle East -- repressive and anti-Western.
BY WILLIAM REED Tue, August 30, 2016
The Turkish State Theatres, the official directorate of the national theater companies in Turkey, have removed the plays of non-Turkish playwrights such as William Shakespeare, Anton Chekhov, Bertolt Brecht, and Dario Fo from their repertoire.
The Turkish State Theatres will open on October 4, performing eight plays at 65 theatre halls across Turkey.  “As humanist nationalists of the homeland, we are opening our theaters with only local plays in order to contribute to the integrity and unity of the homeland and to strengthen national, and spiritual feelings,” Nejat Birecik, vice president of the State Theatres, declared.
Although the Turkish State Theatres will start the new season with the slogan, “The curtains of Turkey are opening with Turkish Theatre,” some of the Turkish plays have been removed as well.

Mohamed Roble, 20, was 10 at the time that he was injured when the I-35W Mississippi River bridge collapsed in 2007. He now faces terror charges.  Federal authorities says that a young man from the U.S. now fighting for the Islamic State in Syria used funds garnered from a settlement in the 2007 Minnesota bridge collapse to finance his trip, as well pay for cars and weddings of his fellow jihadis.
Mohamed Amiin Ali Roble, 20, was one of 145 people injured when the I-35W Mississippi River bridge suddenly collapsed due to a design flaw, killing 13.
Roble was one of a group of men from Minneapolis who were recruited to the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) and planned to travel to Syria to fight for the terror group. At present, nine of the men who were caught before leaving the country and convicted on terror-related charged are awaiting sentencing in that case. Until last week when Roble was charged, Roble’s uncle, Abdi Nur, who managed to leave the country without being detected, was the only man charged in absentia.

ISIS released a chilling new nine-minute video showing a number of rounds of executions. One involved child executioners from five countries.  ISIS recently released a chilling new nine-minute video showing a number of rounds of executions.  Particularly gruesome was the part that involved five child executers, most likely close to the ages of 12-13. In the video, the children can be seen with handguns poised to shoot Kurdish prisoners point-blank in their heads.
While one reads off threats to the Kurdish people, sneering that their Western allies are incapable of helping them, the others stand ready to pull the triggers, which each eventually they do.

Iran has successfully played America as the fool, challenging the U.S. to stand up to its belligerence. Yet every time America backs down, Iran becomes more empowered.

Shireen Qudosi was banned after publicizing a spat with prominent Muslim leader Javed Ali, who accused her of being a corrupt neocon stooge. Facebook has intervened in a political dispute between Muslim reformist and activist Shireen Qudosi and Muslim leader Javed Ali by banning Qudosi permanently from Facebook.
The spat originated after Qudosi stood up for Clarion Project’s National Security Analyst Ryan Mauro, who provided training in San Diego to various police departments last week on what to be aware of when fighting radical Islam.
Mauro was subjected to a silencing campaign by the Muslim Brotherhood-linked Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), which attempted to shut down the training sessions by inundating the police with complaints. CAIR was founded by Muslim Brotherhood members and was designated by the FBI as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation trial, the largest terrorism financing trial in American history.

French children as young as three are being taught to keep silent to stay safe in the event of a terrorist attack.
Beginning in September, every school in France will organize three counter-terrorism drills per year, as part of the government’s new security measures.

The drills will focus on different safety measures depending on the location and scenario of the simulation. At least one drill of the three will focus on a scenario in which the terrorists enter the building.

Children aged 13-14 will learn basic life-saving techniques, while young children will be taught how to keep silent in a game called “le roi silence (silence reigns).”

Additionally, France is calling up 3,000 reserve gendarmes to protect schools and other educational establishments. Mobile patrols will monitor entrances and exits.

An extra €50 ($56.4) million is being allocated to local authorities for school protection.

The new anti-terror security measures are aimed at “preventing the risk of an attack and, at the same time, guaranteeing a serene atmosphere in school.”

France has introduced the measures in the middle of an ongoing culture war about the burkini swimsuit, which has been banned. Photos of armed French police forcing a Muslim woman in Nice to remove her burkini have gone viral, causing widespread anger on social media and not just from Muslims.
The ban has also been condemned by the International Humanist and Ethical Union.

Secular activist Dr. Faraz Talat speaks about the difficulties faced by the atheist community in Pakistan and the flaws in Western counter-terror.
Faraz Talat is a Pakistani secular activist and medical doctor, who writes mostly about religious radicalism, international relations, and social politics for outlets including Dawn, Pakistan Today and The Express Tribune.
He graciously spoke with Clarion Project Dialogue Coordinator Elliot Friedland about the difficulties faced by activists in Pakistan.
Clarion Project: As a liberal activist what do you think is the most important issue to change first?

Dr. Faraz Talat: Kashmir.

It's jarring how so many political problems in South Asia can be traced back to the Indo-Pak conflict, the heart of which is Kashmir. Some of the deadliest jihadist outfits in the region, like Lashkar-e-Taiba, developed explicitly for the liberation of Kashmir. Bigotry against non-Muslims in Pakistan, particularly Hindus, has a strong nationalist overtone due to the common conception of India as a 'Hindu country'. It consistently hampers regional politico-economic cooperation. Hussain Haqqani (former Pakistani ambassador to the US) observes that the goal of becoming militarily equal to India, has always been of prime importance to Pakistan, and the reason for that are sustained cross-border hostilities between India and Pakistan.

Pakistan, along with India, needs to fulfill all prerequisite conditions stated in UN resolution 1948, for a plebiscite in Kashmir; and help keep militants from crossing into Indian-occupied Kashmir.
The region is for no one to ‘claim’, and the people must have their right of self-determination.

CAIR pressured the San Diego police department, but they refused to capitulate. Thank the San Diego police chief for making the right decision.
Ryan Mauro, Clarion Project’s national security analyst, was scheduled to conduct training of police officers at the California Association of Tactical Officers' "What Law Enforcement Needs to Know About Radical Islam."

The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) made every effort to shut him down, pressuring San Diego Police Chief Shelley Zimmerman to cancel the event.

CAIR is a Muslim Brotherhood entity in the U.S. linked to Hamas.

It is important to thank Ms. Zimmerman for refusing to capitulate to Islamist bullying.

CAIR rallied their supporter to pressure the San Diego police department. We need you to show San Diego that they made the right decision in backing Clarion and Professor Ryan Mauro by:

CUTTING and PASTING the FOLLOWING LETTER  and SENDING IT TO: sdpdfacebook@gmail.com

Dear Chief Zimmerman,

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) protested the inclusion of Clarion Project National Security Analyst Ryan Mauro at the California Association of Tactical Officers' "What Law Enforcement Needs to Know About Radical Islam" symposium.

Thank you for not capitulating to CAIR's demands.

●     CAIR was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terror-funding trial every held in America – when the Holyland Foundation was convicted of funneling money to Hamas.

●     In a 2007 court filing in the case of convicted terrorist Sabri Bekhala, federal prosecutors stated: “From its founding by Muslim Brotherhood leaders, CAIR conspired with other affiliates of the Muslim Brotherhood to support terrorists … the conspirators agreed to use deception to conceal from the American public their connections to terrorists.”

●     On November 15, 2014, the government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) declared CAIR a terrorist organization. The FBI terminated relations with CAIR in 2009.

The Clarion Project and Mauro have an exemplary record of supporting the work of Muslim human rights activists.  Thus, it should come as no surprise that when CAIR attacked Mauro in the past, Muslim leaders have spoken out in his defense.
The San Diego Police Department is to be commended for choosing to stand with Mauro and those he supports: the brave Muslim Americans and their interfaith allies who stand for religious tolerance and universal human rights.

Ratcheting up the rhetoric (read: humiliation), Iran announced that all US ships in the Strait of Hormuz are now within target range.
American’s reasoning that the nuclear deal with Iran and the freeing up of billions of dollars of frozen Iranian money previously denied to them through international sanctions would bring the Islamic Republic into the “family of nations” is naïve at best and extremely dangerous at worst.
Ratcheting up the rhetoric (read: humiliation), the Islamic Republic of Iran announced at the beginning of the week that they have made significant advances in their surface-to-surface missile technology, making all U.S. ships in the Strait of Hormuz, within target range.
“We have greatly increased the range of our marine cruise missiles and currently possess missiles with a range of 200 kilometers which are anti-ship and anti-surface,” said Iranian defense minister Brig. Gen. Hossein Dehqan. “We have succeeded in changing the strategic systems of cruise missiles and increasing the power of their engines and ranges.”
The defense minister added that with the new missile technology, Iranian coast-to-sea missiles can now hit the targets at a distance of 100 kilometers (62 miles) from the coast.
Earlier this month, it was revealed that the U.S. paid Iran $400 million last January, essentially as a ransom for the four Americans that were released when the nuclear deal went into effect.

Turkey has sent tanks into Syria to hammer Islamic State positions, exactly 500 years to the day after Ottoman Sultan Selim I invaded Syria.
Turkish jets launched a series of airstrikes at the Islamic State-held town of Jarabulus yesterday, followed up by a tank invasion.

“(Wednesday's operation) started in the north of Syria against terror groups which constantly threaten our country, like (ISIS) and the [Kurdish] PYD” President Erdogan stated, unequivocally demonstrating that the action was aimed as much as fighting the Kurds as the Islamic State.

“The Turks never cared about Jarablus until the Kurds wanted to get there,” an unnamed US Official told CNN.

Turkey views the Kurds and their push for autonomy as a mortal threat.

Kurdish forces recently took Manjib and were advancing on Jarablus.

But now forces loyal to the Free Syrian Army, which is backed by Turkey, have reportedly taken Jarablus.

U.S. officials said, “We've been in communication with the Turks about the operation” and described it as "very significant."

The operation is dubbed “Euphrates Shield.”

His fiancé, with whom he had attempted to join ISIS, was sentenced earlier to 12 years in prison and 15 years probation
A Mississippi man who attempted to join the Islamic State with his fiancé has been sentenced to eight years in federal prison. He was sentenced to an additional 15 years probation.

Muhammad Dakhlalla was convicted on Wednesday of one count of conspiring to provide material support to a terrorist organization.

Dakhlalla attempted to fly to Syria to join the Islamic State with his fiancé Jaelyn Young, 20, this March. Both pleaded guilty.

Young was sentenced earlier to 12 years in prison and 15 years probation. She had been an honor student, a cheerleader and a homecoming maid before she converted to Islam and became radicalized, stealing her mother’s credit card to buy her and her fiancé’s tickets to Istanbul.

Undercover FBI intercepted Young’s online correspondence when she began making inquiries about how to travel to Syria.

The study conducted by a Canadian former intelligence analyst and a journalist assessed texts in mosques and Islamic Schools in Canada.
Extremist literature is widely available in mosques and Islamic schools in Canada, according to a new study, reported by the National Post.

The study was conducted by Thomas Quiggin a former intelligence analyst with the Privy Council Office and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and Saied Shoaaib, a journalist originally from Egypt.

The study found that not only was the material available, but in some places it was the majority of the literature available.

The co-authors argued that politicians have reacted insufficiently to the threat, and that extremists were gaining the upper hand ideologically.

“Further research is required to determine the depth and breadth of this problem,” the study concluded.

The findings are especially troubling in the light of another study, published earlier in August, which interviewed Canadian citizens who had travelled to Syria or Iraq to fight for jihadist organizations such as the Islamic State (ISIS, ISIL), as reported by Macleans.

In this study, titled Talking to Foreign Fighters: Socio-Economic Push versus Existential Pull Factors, researchers questioned 40 foreign fighters, 60 family members, friends and associates, and 30 online supporters from December 2015 to February 2016.

They have so far they have published findings from an initial sample of 20 jihadists. Their findings indicate that ideology was a primary motivating factor in the radicalization journeys by of those to whom they spoke.

Nearly have of those deemed to be at risk of radicalization have refused to participate in the state’s counter-radicalization program.
The British government’s Channel program offers de-radicalization services to those deemed to be at risk. The service is voluntary, however. Last year, out of 245 people identified as at risk of joining the Islamic State, 117 refused government help, reported the Daily Mail.
The data was revealed via a freedom of information request submitted by the BBC’s  “World At One” program.

In the wake of the revelations, Labour MP Khalid Mahmoud (representing Birmingham, Perry and Barr), himself a practicing Muslim, has called for the program to be made compulsory. He also warned that some mentors themselves were reinforcing the extremist narrative rather than countering it.

“The whole strategy needs to be looked at,” he told the World At One.

Mahmoud criticized the variety of services used by the Channel program saying “the number of Channel providers is very stagnant, there is hardly any change in providers that the local police authorities use. So you have got a group of people who rarely change - there is no competition, there is no understanding of doing something differently in terms of providing Channel, and that is why it has not been as successful as it should be.”

Mahmoud argued that the program can only work if properly managed, saying, “I think it should become mandatory... but unless you have the right providers, unless you have people who are actually not going to reinforce that ideology, people who are actually trying to move people away from that ideology and the ethos of what they are being taught -- that is the only way you will move forward and try to de-radicalise some of these people. And we are not doing that at the moment in Channel.”

Government mandated re-education programs are in principle contrary to the liberal values Western governments are fighting Islamism to protect.

Yet, if almost half of people who need it are refusing to use the government’s program, then, at the very least, the program needs to be radically overhauled.

Responding to calls for a ban on wearing niqabs, a German regional interior minister said that such a ban would mean banning all religious clothing
Responding to calls for a ban on women being allowed to wear niqabs, face veils, in Germany, Breitbart reports that a German regional interior minister said that such a ban would mean banning all religious clothing, including Santa Claus outfits.
Ralf Jäger, the interior minister of North Rhine-Westphalia state, where migrant crime has been rampant, was countering the remarks of the federal interior minister, Thomas de Maiziere, who said earlier, “We agree that we reject the burqa, we agree that we want to introduce a legal requirement to show one’s face in places where it is necessary for our society’s coexistence – at the wheel, at public offices, at the registry office, in schools and universities, in the civil service, in court.”

Two Islamist leaders were arrested after being caught in a compromising position in a car on a beach north of Casablanca.
Moulay Omar Ben Hamad (63) and Fatima Nejjar  (62) are both vice-presidents in the Moroccan Islamist organization the Movement for Unification and Reform (MUR). The movement preaches chastity and faithfulness and strict adherence to a puritanical form of Islam.
Ben Hamad is a professor of Islamic studies at the Faculty of Arts in Rabat and a known preacher, charged with preaching to the youth and abroad.
Nejjar is known for a series of YouTube videos focusing on the virtues of faithfulness and purity and against permissive behavior.

CAIR is calling for an investigation into police who attend training about Islamist extremism by the Clarion’s national security analyst, Prof. Ryan Mauro.
The San Diego chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is calling for an investigation into law enforcement officers who attend training about Islamist extremism by the Clarion Project’s national security analyst, Prof. Ryan Mauro.
CAIR has even gone so far as to compare Mauro to the leader of the KKK.
The official leading the charge, Hanif Mohebi, has a history of attending radical conferences and distributing inflammatory propaganda against the FBI that includes anti-American imagery. He also spoke at a 9/11 “Truther” event at San Diego State University.

In the wake of increasing bilateral ties between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Israel, some Saudi pundits are reevaluating anti-Semitism.
Saudi Arabia has long been the hub of the austere form of Sunni Islam known as Wahhabism, and has long perpetuated anti-Semitic stereotypes of Jews in the country’s media. For example one sermon broadcast on the official state channel from the Holy Mosque in Mecca said “O God, destroy the tyrant Jews. O God, deal with the Jews and their supporters. O God, destroy them for they are within your power.”
But now relations seem to be thawing between Saudi Arabia and Israel and several prominent media personalities have publicly written about changing attitudes towards Jews.

A traffic accident was used as the catalyst for a mob of Islamist extremists to force Christian neighbors to flee for their lives. The police failed to investigate.

A young Christian boy travelling on a motorbike on the main street in a village close to Faisalabad accidently struck a Muslim man standing near the road last week. Uninjured, the man got up and started beating the boy who managed to escape.
The man then began shouting, calling all his relatives and friends, claiming that a Christian hit him intentionally with his motorbike.
In rage, the mob gathered rods and sticks and ran towards the Christian dwellings in the village. Many Christians fled the town, but some – including women -- were captured and brutally beaten by the mob. Their injuries were horrific.
As the mob attacked and the Christians begged for their lives, the Muslims shouted that they would kill every one of them if the entire community didn’t pick up and leave the area.

Investigators say the attacker in Roanoke was known to the FBI and might may have been an ISIS-linked beheading attempt.
A man yelling “Allah Akbar [God is greatest]” stabbed two people in Virginia Saturday night in what may have been an ISIS-inspired attempted beheading.
Wasil Farooqui, 20, was known to federal authorities for some time, sources close to the case told ABC News. Farooqui, an American citizen born in America, had previously traveled to Turkey and may have tried to cross into Syria to join the Islamic State.
Both victims, who investigators say were chosen randomly, were seriously injured but are said to be recovering well.
The attack happened in Roanoke outside The Pines Apartments. He was arrested by Roanoke County Police on charges of assault with malicious wounding and is being held without bond.

Erick Jamal Hendricks is charged with conspiring to develop an ISIS cell and attack U.S. troops. He was the youth coordinator for an ICNA mosque.
Earlier this month, the FBI arrested Erick Jamal Hendricks of Charlotte, N.C. for conspiring to develop an ISIS sleeper cell and attack U.S. troops. He was the youth coordinator for a mosque that belongs to the “moderate” Islamic Circle of North America.

Hendricks is proclaiming his innocence and says he publicly and privately condemned ISIS and Al-Qaeda. He also claims to have been an informant for the FBI and to have assisted the U.S. government in tackling at least six terrorism cases.
The FBI first interacted with Hendricks in 2009 when he was the youth coordinator for the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) Center in Alexandria, Virginia. The mosque says it is a full-time mosque and an ICNA chapter and is led by Imam Yasir Siddig from Sudan. His bio says he was an imam when he was only 15 years old in Sudan and came to the U.S. from 2001 to 2005 and returned again in 2013.

The victim has been identified as 21-year-old Mia Ayliffe-Chung from Derbyshire. Another man was also wounded & a dog was killed in the attack.
A 21-year old woman from Britain was stabbed to death in an Australian youth hostel by a man who reported shouted “Allahu Akbar” during the attack.

The victim was identified as Mia Ayliffe-Chung, from Derbyshire. She had travelled first to Bali in Indonesia before coming to Australia. She was doing farm work in Australia.

A dog was also killed in the attack and a 30-year-old British man was severely injured. The attack took place in Queensland near Townsville.
Allahu Akbar is an Arabic phrase meaning “God is the Greatest” and used in a variety of religious contexts. It has been adopted by jihadists as a slogan to shout before they strike.

After investigating, the French prosecutor revealed what really happened on the beach -- and it's much worse than a a fight about a burkini
BY LESLIE SHAW Thu, August 18, 2016
Nicolas Bessone, prosecutor of Bastia, Corsica, gave a press conference on Wednesday, August 17, in which he presented the result of the four-day police investigation into the fight at Sisco beach on Saturday 13 August.

Three Muslim brothers from the Lupino neighbourhood in Bastia and two villagers from Sisco had been arrested on Wednesday and held in detention, where they were interrogated about the incident.

He insisted that the protagonists were neither Islamic radicals nor racists and described the fight as a territorial battle between a Muslim family from Lupino and the Sisco villagers.

According to Mr. Bessone, three Muslim brothers arrived on the beach on Saturday with their female companions and attempted to "privatize" it. The Muslim women, contrary to initial press reports, were not wearing burkinis but were swimming in full Islamic dress.

The first incidents broke out early in the day when the Muslims put up a no entry sign to keep people from coming on to the beach. A couple already on the beach were forced to leave, as were two young boys canoeing in the creek. Tourists, including a Belgian who took a photograph and local passers-by who got too close were insulted, threatened and pelted with stones.

A group of village teenagers then arrived on the beach as they usually did on a Saturday afternoon. At this point the situation deteriorated and conflicting versions were given to the investigators. One teenager claimed he was hit by one or more of the three Muslim males.

The father of the teenager was informed his son was being molested and when he arrived on the scene he too was beaten. Several witnesses indicated to the police that harpoons and a baseball bat were used in the attack.

Dozens of angry villagers then arrived on the beach and in turn physically attacked the Muslims, before the gendarmes arrived and stopped the fight.

The three Muslim brothers aged around 30 and two villagers, a 50-year-old baker and a 21-year-old municipal employee, were interrogated on Wednesday evening. The two villagers were released and will appear in court on Thursday August 18 with the three Muslims, who were already known to the police, one of them for drug-dealing and resisting arrest.

"All the protagonists deny they hit the others," revealed a police source. The prosecutor concluded that "on the one hand, there was a gangster-style attempt to take over the beach, on the other an overreaction on the part of the villagers." The spin he put on the fight was that it was a simple breach of the peace, comparing it to a brawl caused by 10 Italians "arriving in a village riding Vespa scooters."

On Wednesday evening, around 500 people, including local politicians, assembled outside the Borgo gendarme station to show their support for the two villagers being interrogated.

The prosecutor’s conclusions play down the role of Islamic radicalism in the affair, but the fact that the women were not wearing burkinis but full Islamic dress is immaterial. There was a deliberate attempt by the family to take over a public beach and prevent others from using it through verbal and physical violence. There could not be a clearer demonstration that they are refusing to coexist with the local population and prefer to live apart. Such an attitude can only be driven by religious radicalism and hostility to France.

Meanwhile, the ban on burkinis by four French mayors and others set to follow suit with the backing of Prime Minister Manuel Valls has met with negative reactions from Muslim opinion leaders.

The CCIF (Collective against Islamophobia in France) challenged the decree by David Lisnard, the mayor of Cannes, in court and lost. They have now lodged an appeal with France’s highest court, the Council of State.

The French Human Rights League has issued proceedings at the Administrative Tribunals of the four towns concerned by the ban, seeking to have it overturned.

Activist group SOS Racism also opposes the ban, accusing the mayors of “malevolence towards the Arab-Muslim population.”

The ban has not stopped Muslim women from frequenting the beaches at Cannes sporting burkinis. On Saturday, August 14, a 29 year-old woman was fined by municipal police officers for wearing a burkini, followed by a 32-year-old on Sunday and a 57-year-old on Monday. Six other women swimming in burkinis were not fined but given a formal warning and left the beach “without difficulty.”

Meanwhile, Franco-Algerian businessman and political activist Rachid Nekkaz has offered to pay the $45 fines imposed on women who flout the burkini ban. He made a similar offer after the burka was banned in 2010, setting up a $1 million fund “for the defense of liberty” and stating that “although I am personally opposed to the wearing of the burka, I believe that in a democracy nobody has the right to prevent a person wearing a garment of their choice as long as the garment does not represent a danger to the freedom of others or national security.”

CNN Journalist Sally Kohn has drawn fire for tweeting that many progressive Muslims believe in sharia law in response to Donald Trump’s positions.
When CNN journalist Sally Kohn tweeted that many progressive Muslims whom we should support against the extremists believe in sharia, she was right.

When outraged commentators pointed out that Kohn, a woman and a liberal, not to mention a lesbian, would personally fare quite poorly under a sharia system they were right as well.

Screenshot from Twitter.

So how can they both be right?

Literally translated, sharia means “a way to water” and refers to the vision of Islam by which a Muslim is supposed to live their life, drawing the follower closer to Allah, as well as to Islamic religious law.

There are many different interpretations of sharia, and different Muslims interpret “the path” differently. Although the interpretations differ, the idea that the “sharia” is what ought to be followed is shared by many if not most Muslims around the world.

The process by which this somewhat nebulous idea is brought down to more specific instructions is called fiqh. Over the past 14 centuries, different schools of Islamic jurisprudence have taken their understandings of sharia, which is based on the Quran, the hadiths (traditions about Islam which include sayings of Mohammed) and the oral tradition of Islam. From these sources have emerged different systems of rules.

Some anti-Islamist scholars, such as Sheikh Hisham Kabbani of the Islamic Supreme Council of America, see the hardening of sharia into set rules rather than a more flexible system as a perversion of what sharia is meant to be.

Where these rules are implemented as state law, such as in Saudi Arabia or Iran, we see abuses of women’s rights, blasphemy codes that restrict free speech, the execution of homosexuals and adulterers and other abuses like flogging and limb amputation.

This is sharia governance and it’s what extremists from the Muslim Brotherhood to the Islamic State want.

Sharia governance is not the same as taking one’s own understanding of sharia and using it as a guide for one’s own personal life. If someone wants to regulate times of prayer, the dietary restrictions of halal food or avoid alcohol based on their understanding of sharia that’s their decision and in a free country, no-one else’s business.

Many progressive Muslims do exactly that.

The problem comes when people seek to impose sharia over others and integrate it into the government, something that is an anathema to the American system of separation of religion and state and which will almost inevitably lead to human rights abuses.

There are currently ongoing debates in different Western countries about the extent to which Muslim communities can use sharia as a guide to conducting their affairs, with a focus on sharia councils, which have been used both as arbitration courts by certain Muslim communities and to conduct Islamic marriages.

Sharia councils in the UK are currently the subject of a controversial government review following revelations of women’s rights abuses meted out by the courts, particularly with reference to divorce cases and custody hearings, where the community courts will often decide matters according to sharia without reference to British law.

Indeed, many Muslim women in the UK will not register their marriages with the state at all, and thus receive no marital legal rights. How to secure the rights of Muslim women who choose to use these courts has been investigated by Clarion Project advisory board member Dr. Elham Manea in her recently published book Women and Sharia Law which assesses the impact of legal pluralism in the UK.

Restrictions on women wearing hijabs to cover their hair and other modesty-based fashion decisions, such as the burkini swimsuit, are another source of controversy, with some in Europe arguing for bans on certain kinds of head covering, especially in state-run institutions such as schools or courtrooms.

Many progressive Muslims with whom Clarion works will tell you they try to regulate their own lives in accordance with their understanding of sharia, the interpretations of which vary wildly. What they will also tell you is they are opposed to sharia in the government and the only way to safeguard both their liberty to practice their religion as they see fit and to safeguard the liberty of others is to keep sharia out of the governmental sphere and make sure that it stays a personal and private code of conduct.

It is this separation of religion and state, and not the buzzword of sharia, that is the issue at hand.

The vital importance of protecting that distinction is hopefully something that Americans as diverse as Sally Kohn and Donald J. Trump can agree upon.

The UN says the returnees represent a growing threat, since some may attempt to carry out terrorist attacks in their home countries.
Between 10 and 30 percent of foreign fighters who travelled to Iraq and Syria to fight for the Islamic State have returned to their countries of origin, according to a report by the Committee of the U.N. Security Council on ISIS and al-Qaida as reported by the Russian news agency RIA Novosti.

The report highlights the growing threat posed by these returning jihadists, some of whom may attempt to carry out terrorist attacks in their home countries.

“Some returnees have left conflict zones after they were disappointed in ISIS and changed their minds about the conflict,” the report states. “In the assessment of the member States, they are in the lower part of the spectrum of risk, while some persons have returned with the specific intention and the willingness to commit terrorist attacks, as evidenced by the attacks in Paris and Brussels.”

The report also states the international police agency Interpol has a database of some 7,000 names of foreign fighters among the estimated 30,000 foreign fighters currently in Iraq and Syria.

LGBT individuals beheaded, burnt to death in Turkey

As Turkey is increasingly sliding into Islamist fascism, the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) community in the country is being subjected to unspeakable crimes.

The latest victims were living in Istanbul.

23-Year-Old Transgender Raped and Burnt To Death in Istanbul

Hande Kader, a 23-year-old transgender from Turkey, was burned to death after getting tortured and raped in Istanbul. Kader had been missing since August 6. Her burnt dead body was found on August 14. She was last seen getting in a car in the Harbiye district in Istanbul.

“She was murdered in a savage way,” Michelle Demisevich, a transgender journalist, told the newspaper Hurriyet. “It is thought that she was raped by more than one person. According to my friends who identified her dead body, she had been exposed to brutal violence and torture. Those who committed such inhumane torture also burned her as if torture were not enough!”

“The Murderers Are Not Punished”

Demisevich said that most of the previous murderers of transgender people have not been apprehended. Investigations of these murders can drag on for years.

“Many transgender people were killed at the beginning of this year. But the murderers of so few of them have been caught.

“Two people tried to murder our friend called Azeri Gulsen in October, 2014 in her house in Istanbul. She stayed alive by accident. When we found her at her house, she was lying in blood on the floor. Seven or eight lawyers defended her at the court, some MPs also got involved but not a single step has been taken. The police have not even completed the investigation. However, they have camera recordings. And it has been two years,” she said.

“This was the case in 1980s, 1990s, and in 2000s, as well,” Demisevich added.

“A citizen of Turkey has been burnt to death. She was raped. What else could be more important than that? But the police say, ‘Will we exert ourselves to take care of a faggot?’ Both the police and the judiciary have this mentality. They do not think handling the case of a transgender, a transvestite, a faggot or a pansy is fitting for them.”

Equal Before the Law? Not in This Case

“Women have no value in Turkey, and if you are a transgender, it is a disaster,” said Demisevich. “But one also has to stay alive. Transgender individuals do sex work not because they prefer it, but because they cannot find jobs. Indeed, transgenders are not given jobs in Turkey.”

On August 17, the Istanbul branch of the Human Rights Association (IHD) held a press conference about the murder of Kader.

“In a region where there are surveillance cameras all around, it is impossible not to have found the number plate of the car Kader got in,” said Derya Gazioglu, an activist with the IHD.  “But neither she nor those who kidnapped her were found for days. The incident was ignored and silently evaded.

“The judiciary, administrative and political authorities who should be responsible for the public security have not even made a statement on the murder, when they are actually supposed to concern themselves with it.”

“The government sees transgender individuals as people that should never exist,” said Gazioglu.

“Due to this mentality, people who think they have the right and audacity to burn Hande Kader have appeared. Just like Kurds, leftists and progressives that are targeted are lynched due to the governmental policy of impunity for the perpetrators,” according to Gazioglu.

Syrian Gay Refugee Beheaded in Istanbul

Muhammed Wisam Sankari, a gay Syrian refugee, was stabbed multiple times and beheaded in Istanbul last month. His body was mutilated beyond recognition. He had arrived in Istanbul from Syria a year ago.

Sankari left his house in Istanbul on July 23. He was found dead two days later. He had been threatened, kidnapped and raped during his brief life in Istanbul. His murderers have not been caught.

Sankari’s housemates, Rayan, Diya and Gorkem, told the news outlet KaosGL.org about the repeated threats Sankari was getting and his murder.

“We Complained to the Police. They Did Not Do Anything”

“We were staying in a different house before and we had to leave that house just because we are gay,” Rayan said. “About five months ago, a group kidnapped Wisam [Sankari] in Fatih. They took him to a forest, beat him and raped him. They were going to kill him but Wisam saved himself by jumping onto the road. We complained at the police headquarters but they did nothing.”

Rayan added that they had difficulty even walking on the streets of Aksaray where they lived and where crowded male groups wielding knives had threatened them several times, saying they wanted to rape them.

“On Sunday, the police called us,” Gorkem said.  “We went to Yenikapi with Rayan. They had cut Wisam violently. So violent that two knives had broken inside him. They had beheaded him. His upper body was beyond recognition; his internal organs were out. We could only identify our friend from his pants.”

“Who is Next?”

Diya said they are afraid to go out on the streets for fear of being the next targets of violence. “I am so scared. I feel like everyone is staring at me on the street. I was kidnapped twice before. They let me go in Cerkezkoy and I barely got home one time. I went to the UN for my identity card but they did not even respond to that. No one cares about us. They just talk.

“I get threats over the phone. I speak calmly so something does not happen. It does not matter if you are Syrian or Turkish. If you are gay, you are everyone’s target. They want sex from you and when you don’t do it, they just tag along. I don’t even have an identity card. Who would protect me? Who is next?”

“ISIS mentality lives in this country”

Islamic State (ISIS) terrorists in Syria and Iraq throw men convicted of homosexuality off rooftops or behead them. Gays and transgender people in Turkey, a European Union applicant, are also exposed to similar crimes, if not worse. They are constantly threatened, kidnapped, beaten, raped, beheaded or burnt to death. And the murderers are almost never brought to justice.
As Turkish human rights defender Gazioglu puts it: “ISIS and its mentality is supported, protected and living not only in Iraq, Syria, and other countries, but also in this country.”

The brutal attack carried out by machetes is believed to have been carried out by the ‘Allied Democratic Forces,’ a Ugandan insurgent group.
At least 51 people have been murdered by an Islamist-linked militia in the Congo in a brutal massacre where militants hacked apart civilians with machetes.

The army says the attack was carried out by the Allied Democratic Forces, a Islamist group originating from Uganda which merged with other disparate militias. The group has carried out an insurgency against the Ugandan and the Congolese governments since 1996.

The group is based in the Democratic Republic of Congo’s North Kivu province and is reported to have links with the Somalian Islamist terrorist group Al-Shabaab.

The killings took place on Saturday night in the town of Beni. Government estimates initially put the death toll at 36, but on Sunday local mayor Edmond Masumbuko put the toll at 42.

NGOs have counted more casualties. “Our team on the ground has counted 51 bodies slain with machetes,” said Teddy Kataliko, a member of a local NGO alliance.

He told AFP that civilians were angry with the government for failing to protect their family members. “They decided to hold private funerals and refused to allow the government to bury them, because it could not guarantee their security while they were still alive,” he said.

In 2014, the Congolese army launched an offensive against the ADF bases in North Kivu province and have since driven them from many of their former strongholds.

In 2015, the leader of the ADF, Jamil Mukulu, was arrested in Tanzania and extradited to Uganda.

French PM Valls calls the burkini a 'manifestation of a political project, a counter-society founded on the enslavement of women.'
BY LESLIE SHAW Wed, August 17, 2016
In an interview with the Marseilles newspaper La Provence published on Wednesday, August 17, French Prime Minister Manuel Valls weighed in on the burkini controversy, stating that he understands and supports the mayors of Cannes, Les Pennes Mirabeau, Sisco and Le Touquet who have issued decrees banning the wearing of the Islamic swimsuit.
"I understand the mayors who, in the current tense climate, had the reflex to look for solutions and avoid breaches of the peace. I support those mayors who have issued decrees, if they are motivated by the will for communities to live in harmony rather than a political agenda.
"Beaches, like all public spaces, must be protected from contentious religious demands. The burkini is not a new range of swimsuit or a fashion. It is the manifestation of a political project, a counter-society founded on the enslavement of women.

Two recent legal cases in North America highlight the issue of where the line should be drawn in regards to sharia law in non-Muslim countries.
Two recent legal cases in North America highlight the issue of where the line should be drawn in regards to Islamic (sharia) law in non-Muslim countries. The cases point not only how the courts should handle sharia law, but any foreign or religious law that intersects with a Western country’s legal system.
A Minnesota court of appeals recently ruled on an inheritance case involving the widow of a Muslim man who was killed in an accident in Minnesota. The estate of the man filed a wrongful-death claim resulting in a settlement of $183,000.
Since the husband left no will, according to Minnesota law, the man’s widow was entitled to the entire amount. However, the man’s brother claimed the money should be split according to sharia law practiced in Sudan (where the couple was married), which would have amounted to the widow inheriting only 25 percent of the money with other family members inheriting the remainder.
The Minnesota court ruled against the man’s brother based, according to UCLA law professor Eugene Volokh, on the legal principle that “American courts apply American law, rather than one rule for Muslims, one rule for Christians, one rule for Jews, and so on.”
But just to note: American law is not always that simple. It provides for the freedom to make contracts and bequeath property based one’s beliefs, values and desires. However, as Volokh explains, not all those contracts may be enforceable, for example, when the conditions of the contract violate other superseding American public policy -- for example, discriminating based on sex, a punishment disallowed in America, like cutting off a person’s hand, etc.

Adnan Fazeli came to Maine in 2009 as a refugee, but later became radicalized and died fighting for ISIS while in Lebanon.
Wed, August 17, 2016
Adnan Fazeli, 38, was killed last year in Lebanon while fighting for the Islamic State, but details of his death were only just released with the unsealing of federal court documents, according to the Portland Press Herald.
He was living in Freeport, Maine where he became radicalized. He left his job at Dubai Auto car dealership in 2013 and took a plane to Turkey, never to return.
When Fazeli contacted his wife from Turkey to tell her he had left to join ISIS, his nephew reported him to the FBI, who opened an investigation into his radicalization and possible connections to the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL).
“I was more worried about my aunt and the kids,” Adnan Fazeli’s nephew Ebrahim Fazeli said. “I wanted to protect them from him. It was very clear to me that they weren’t important to him. That made it easier to make the call.”

The British-born cleric preached extremist propaganda for years has finally been convicted of supporting the Islamic State.
Wed, August 17, 2016
Influential Islamist hate preacher Anjem Choudary has been convicted of supporting the Islamic State. He will be sentenced on September 6 and faces up to 10 years in jail.
Choudary is the founder of the now-banned extremist group Al-Muhajiroun and was one of Britain’s most notorious Islamist clerics for many years.
He was interviewed by Clarion Project.
Along with co-defendant Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, 33, Choudary was convicted of supporting the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) in July, but details of the verdict were only just made public.
The pair reportedly exhorted their supporters to travel to Syria and pledge allegiance to ISIS in a series of YouTube videos.
Choudary also reportedly personally swore and oath of allegiance to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the self-proclaimed caliph of the Islamic State.
He is thought to have been linked to the terrorists who went on to carry out the 7/7 bombings in the UK and the man who beheaded army Drummer Lee Rigby
Security sources believe Choudary has links to as many as 500 British jihadis now fighting for the Islamic State, as reported by The Independent.
Choudary told Sky News before his conviction he was simply exercising his right to free speech.
“If you look at my speeches, I have said the same thing for 20 years. For me, it is a matter of worship,” he said.
“If people are implementing the sharia, then I cannot shy away from what the divine text says in relationship to that. If you cannot say when you believe in something and you cannot share that view, then you don't really have freedom to express yourself in this country.”
His being put in prison is no reason to assume Choudary will cease to be a threat. In 2014, he said, “If they arrest me and put me in prison I will carry on in prison. I will radicalize everyone in prison.”
Ironically, after convicting Choudary, the UK allowed two more hate preachers to enter the country.
Pakistani clerics Muhammad Naqib ur Rehman and Hassan Haseeb ur Rehman are currently on a seven-week preaching tour of mosques in the UK. The pair was involved in the campaign to support Mumtaz Qadri, the man who assassinated the liberal governor of Punjab, Salman Taseer, in 2011 after Taseer suggested discussing amending the country’s blasphemy law.
Qadri was hailed as a martyr following his execution for murder earlier this year. Despite their involvement in the campaign to support Qadri, the clerics were allowed into the UK and Muhammad Naqib ur Rehman was even welcomed by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the highest ranking priest in the Church of England, which has some 80 million followers worldwide.

As a local source said, ‘This organization is capable of doing anything while making themselves forget all the losses they suffer daily.’
Tue, August 16, 2016
Media sources in Mosul reported particularly gruesome executions by the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) of six local citizens accused of being spies.
The six were accused of “making contact and cooperating with the security forces that belong to the central government, the forces of the (Kurdish) Peshmerga and the international coalition.”
On Sunday, an ISIS court published the verdict against Iraqi citizens sentencing them to be put them in tanks filled with boiling hot tar.
The execution took place in a central, public area next to the Mosul city hall in the al-Shura neighborhood of the city.
A civilian source in Mosul who witnessed the executions described the horrific punishment to Ara News.  “ISIS tied them up, lifted them using a hydraulic crane and lowered them into the tank filled with tar until they vanished inside the tank.

Without a search warrant, Turkish forces detained Kurdish journalists and activists in another post-coup op taking the country spiraling towards fascism
BY WILLIAM REED Wed, August 17, 2016
After an order was given to by an Istanbul Court to “temporarily” close the pro-Kurdish daily newspaper Ozgur Gundem on alleged grounds of spreading Kurdistan Worker's Party (PKK) “terrorist propaganda,” Turkish special operations teams also raided the offices of the paper in Istanbul, battering and detaining at least 23 journalists.
See photo (right) of one was the cartoonists from the paper, Dogan Guzel, whose clothese were ripped by the police in the raid:
Gulfem Karatas, a reporter from the Turkish news media outlet IMC TV, was in the offices of the paper and filmed the raid on live TV. As the anchor of IMC TV in the studio was interviewing her, the police attacked her and her cameraman Gokhan Cetin, taking her mobile phone by force. The filming stopped, but her screams could still be heard on live TV as she and Cetin were also arrested.

Khalid Jabara was gunned down on his front porch despite warning police that he was in danger just 30 minutes before the murder.
Wed, August 17, 2016
Correction:An earlier version of the article mistakenly reported that Khalid Jabara was a Muslim. Even though he was a Christian it seems that his murder was motivated partially by anti-Muslim bigotry.
An Arab-American Christian man murdered in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Friday has now been identified as 37-year old Khalid Jabara.
His neighbor, Vernon Majors, who was awaiting trial for a previous assault on Jabara’s mother, was arrested for the murder.
The family alleges that the murder was a hate crime and that the murderer had long hurled anti-Muslim and anti-Arab epithets at the family.
Majors had previously run over Mrs Jabara with his car, causing her serious injuries.
Residents told local media KRJH  that the neighbohors had been at loggerheads for some time
In a statement posted to Facebook, Khalid Jabara’s sister, Victoria Jabara Williams, described of the history of the dispute and accused the police of failing to protect her brother by letting Majors out of prison while waiting to stand trial for running over their mother.
On Monday, the family released the following statement:

A huge fight broke out between Muslim immigrants and native Corsicans after women wearing burkinis were photographed by a tourist
BY LESLIE SHAW Mon, August 15, 2016
Scene from the fight on Corsica (Photo: Video screenshot)
On Sunday August 14, 2016, Bernard Cazeneuve, French Interior Minister, issued the following statement after a violent clash between locals and Muslim immigrants on the island of Corsica:
"A violent confrontation, the circumstances and motives of which will be determined by a police investigation, erupted on Saturday evening in Sisco, Upper Corsica, between local residents and a group of around ten out-of-towners. The four people injured, including a pregnant woman, were evacuated to the hospital in Bastia. Their injuries are not life-threatening. Three vehicles were set on fire causing major disruption of traffic and a brush fire was rapidly brought under control."
According to eyewitness accounts reported in the French media, on the evening of Saturday, August 13, a group of young Corsicans waged a battle with a group of Muslims at a beach next to Sisco. The fight broke out after women wearing burkinis were photographed by a tourist, provoking the Muslims to retaliate with insults and cries of " Allah Akbar."
They then began throwing stones at the tourists and a group of Corsican teenagers further along the beach. The Muslim men, aged around 40, then began to hit the teenagers, one of whom was wounded by a blow from a machete.

The United States' vice president is slated to visit Ankara on August 24. Relations between the countries are cool following July's failed coup attempt
The White House confirmed August 13 Vice-President Joseph Biden will visit Turkey later this month. He will be the first senior Western leader to travel to Ankara since the failed coup attempt in July.
Relations between Turkey and Washington have been cool to say the least since the attempt to remove from office President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The Turkish leader and his supporters say the coup was plotted by Fethullah Gulen, a Turkish preacher exiled in the United States. Ankara is demanding American authorities extradite Gulen, which Washington is reportedly asking Ankara for proof of his involvement in the attempt to overthrow Erdogan.
So what message will Biden take with him on August 24?
This is not Biden’s first visit to Turkey and he has criticized Erdogan’s regime on numerous occasions. Earlier this year he is said to have condemned Ankara’s poor record on human rights:

Eminent Jordanian satirist and political cartoonist Nahed Hattar posted the cartoon to Facebook, featuring Allah talking to a jihadist in paradise.
Mon, August 15, 2016
An eminent Jordanian cartoonist and political satirist Nahed Hattar has been arrested for a satirical cartoon depicting a conversation between a jihadist and Allah in paradise.
Hattar, of Christian origin who personally professes non-belief, has been a respected satirist in Jordan for many years.
The cartoon was posted to his anti-Islamic State Facebook page and purported to show how jihadists “envision heaven.”
Hattar was arrested for insulting religion. His cartoon twisted Islamic vocabulary about God and paradise for comedic effect, such as changing the word “Subhanallah” (Glory be to Allah) into the second person “Subhanekh” (your gloriousness) which also prompted criticism of his cartoon as being an insensitive way to discuss God.

Tamina Mirza, a schoolteacher, has been leading anti-terror protests against the Taliban in Lahore, Pakistan, on every 16th of the month.
On the 16th of every month, come rain or shine, Tamina Mirza takes to the streets of Lahore in Pakistan to stand against terrorism.
She was moved to act in 2014 after “things changed for all of us” when 145 children were massacred at an army school in Peshawar by the Taliban.
“I just took it upon myself to start a series of protests against the Taliban and terrorists, “ she told Clarion Project. “I did them on every 16th of each month as a mark of remembrance and to pay my debt to those kids who were ruthlessly slaughtered.”

The head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization says Iran has not slowed down its civilian nuclear program. The question remains why the oil-rich country needs such a program.
Iranian news sources recently reported that Iran has not slowed down its civilian nuclear program and, in fact, has assured the public that its nuclear activities are “vigorously progressing.”
“With all my scientific, technological and administrative experience in the nuclear field for some 50 years, I insist that the nuclear industry has not been shut down and the work is going on,” said Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Ali Akbar Salehi.
“While the nuclear activities are in progress, there are plans for a major boost to the nuclear industry,” he added.
Salehi was specifically referring to a recent meeting between Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Russian President Vladimir Putin, in which Russian assistance with the construction of two new nuclear power plants in Iran was reportedly discussed.
“Once the two presidents give their approval to the beginning of the construction plan, a project worth $10 billion will kick off, causing a jump in Iran’s nuclear industry,” he said.
Just days after sanctions relief for the Islamic Republic was underway as per the implementation of the nuclear deal with the world’s powers – which purported to limit Iran’s nuclear capacities – Salehi had announced the signing of the agreements between Iran and Russia to build “two big reactors” near the city of Bushehr. In 2014, Iran and Russia agreed that Russia would build eight more nuclear plants in Iran.

The city is concerned that violence could break out as burkini wearing may lead to scuffles. Anyone breaching the ban will face a fine.
Burkinis are beachwear that observant Muslim women wear in order to benefit from a beach and the sea while remaining modest. However, in Cannes in southern France the threat of Islamist extremism and the reaction to it from fearful French people have led city mayor David Lisnard to announce a ban.
He described the swimwear as “a symbol of Islamic extremism,” and expressed the fear that their appearance on city beaches could lead to scuffles.
Anyone caught wearing a burkini could face a $42 fine.
Here's an interesting take on the bikini-burkini debate:

While ISIS is under attack in Iraq and Syria, its supporters continue planning attacks across the United States and Western Europe.
North Carolina

Erick Jamal Hendricks, from North Carolina, was arrested on August 4th, 2016 on charges of attempting to Erick Jamal Hendricks (Photo: Mecklenburg, NC County Sheriff''s Office)

recruit people for terrorist attacks in the U.S. in support of the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL). One of Hendricks’ alleged contacts was a gunman in the 2015 thwarted attack on an exhibition of Mohammed caricatures in Texas.

The Justice Department says Hendricks, who was caught by an undercover FBI informant, was using social media to recruit people. He also allegedly mentioned to a prospective recruit a desire to create a sleeper cell for later attacks in the U.S.

Washington, D.C.
Nicholas Young, a DC Metro cop since 2003, was arrested on August 3rd, 2016 for supplying materials to ISIS. Young, who was on the FBI’s radar since 2010, allegedly met several times with Amine El Khalifi before Khalifi was arrested in Court drawing of Nicholas Young (left)

2012 for plotting to carry out a suicide bombing at the U.S. Capitol building.

Later, in 2014, Young began meeting with an informant who convinced Young to travel overseas to join ISIS in Syria, according to the FBI. The FBI was able to begin communicating directly with Young electronically, posing as the informant after Young believed the informant had made it to Syria.

The core charge of material support came from Young allegedly buying gift cards to support ISIS through mobile messaging accounts. He sent the gift card codes to the informant in late July.

Gregory Hubbard, Darren Jackson, and Dayne Christian, all from Florida, were arrested on July 22nd, 2016  charges of conspiring and attempting to provide material support and resources to ISIS.  According to the complaint,Left: Dayne Christian in 2003 (Photo: Palm Beach Sheriff's Office) and Gregory Hubbard

Hubbard first told the FBI informant he was considering joining ISIS on April 11th, 2015.

The two met regularly over the course of the next few months discussing recent terrorist attacks and listening to sermons by Anwar al-Awlaki. Jackson and Christian soon joined to provide guns, ammunition and training as Hubbard prepared to join ISIS.  With help from the FBI informant, Hubbard planned his travel to Syria and was arrested after checking in to his flight from Miami. Jackson and Christian were arrested elsewhere.

arrested on federal terrorism charges on June 21st, 2016. Court documents show Musleh, a high school student, had made several unsuccessful attempts to join ISIS in Syria.  He is known to have done online research regarding the manufacturing of explosives in May of 2016.

Musleh, like many ISIS recruits, used social media to express his affiliation with ISIS. Social media is also the medium through which the FBI initiated and continued contact with Musleh, during which potential routes to ISIS were discussed and propaganda shared.

allegedly supporting ISIS. According to a criminal complaint filed by the Department of Justice, Alimehmeti tried to join ISIS twice back in 2014, but both times he was stopped.

What ended up getting Alimehmeti arrested, however, was his trying to help someone whom he believed was an ISIS recruit get to Syria. This supposed recruit was actually an undercover federal agent. Like many other Americans who have been arrested for attempting to join and assist ISIS, Alimehmeti was caught by a federal sting operation.

What have the vice presidential candidates' records been in regard to Islamic extremism? Clarion Project takes a look
BY RYAN MAURO Tue, August 9, 2016
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and her vice-presidential pick Tim Kaine (left); Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump (right) with his vice-presidential pick Mike Pence (Photos: Video screenshots)
Tim Kaine
Early supporter of the nuclear deal with Iran.

Criticized Obama Administration for lack of involvement in the Syrian civil war and called for the U.S. military to be used to establish a no-fly zone.

Iraq War
Opposed the 2003 invasion of Iraq to topple the Saddam Hussein regime and supported the withdrawal of U.S. forces.

Muslim Brotherhood Ties
Has been criticized for his ties to the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood network.
In 2007, he appointed Esam Omeish to his state immigration committee despite Omeish’s status as the leader of the Muslim American Society, a group that federal prosecutors identified as having been “founded as the overt arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in America.” The Kaine administration initially accused critics of the decision of being bigots, but Omeish resigned once videos surfaced of him declaring support for Hamas and Palestinians waging jihad against Israel.
In September 2011, Kaine spoke at a dinner organized by the New Dominion PAC that honored a Muslim Brotherhood terror suspect named Jamal Barzinji with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Kaine acknowledged the help his campaign received from his “friends” in the audience and asked for their support for his Senate campaign. Donors linked to Barzinji and the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood network contributed heavily to Kaine and the Virginia Democratic Party.
Mike Pence
Iraq War
Voted for the 2003 invasion of Iraq to topple the Saddam Hussein regime and has never said it was a mistake. He also endorsed the 2007 “surge” and opposed the timetable for withdrawing U.S. forces.

Endorsed the U.S. military intervention in Libya and overthrow of Muammar Qaddafi.

Opposes the nuclear deal with Iran

Muslim Immigration to the U.S.
Criticized Trump’s proposed ban on Muslim immigration but opposes resettling Syrian refugees in the United States.

Either Congressman Mick Mulvaney (R-SC) and his office did absolutely no fair-minded research or they chose to ignore the facts.
Report from 'The Islamic Post' about Congressman Mulvaney's visit to Islamville. Mulvaney is fourth from the left.
Jamaat ul-Fuqra (now known as Muslims of the Americas) is a cultish Islamist group with a history of criminal and terrorist activity that is eager to give its image a makeover. It has a surprising advocate assisting that endeavor: Congressman Mick Mulvaney (R-SC).
The group’s extremism has been repeatedly documented by the Clarion Project. Mulvaney and his office could have easily found this material before having his picture taken as he stood should-to-shoulder with the group, which the Fuqra/MOA newspaper was happy to use in its favor and will use for years to come.
Fuqra/MOA is led by a Pakistan-based radical cleric and it claims to have 22 “Islamic villages” in the U.S., with South Carolina’s Islamville being one of them. Guerilla training of women has occurred at its “Islamberg” headquarters in New York, as seen in this undated footage obtained by the Clarion Project from a law enforcement source.
In December, Mulvaney visited Islamville and declared he is “looking forward to dispelling the rumors” about the village that has been there since 1982.
“I can tell people now I have been there, and no, there is not a terrorist camp or any threat in York County,” Mulvaney said.
The congressman spent 90 minutes visiting the village and meeting with its leaders and apparently thinks that the copious amount of documentation from government records, counter-terrorism raids and extremism expressed by Fuqra/MOA’s own leaders and literature should be dismissed.
“This is a group of law-abiding American citizens who are practicing their faith, and I saw no reason for anyone to see a threat,” said Mulvaney.
Of course he didn’t. Why would a congressman’s pre-arranged meeting for less than two hours with deceptive Islamist radicals ever result in finding the truth?

Long-standing summer events in France have been cancelled for fear of terror. Will pressure on Muslims to assimilate serve to prevent radicalization?
BY LESLIE SHAW Tue, August 9, 2016
(Photo: From the new burkini line introduced by the UK company Marks and Spencer)
Michel Amiel, mayor of Les Pennes-Mirabeau, a town next to Marseilles on the French Riviera, has indicated that he is prepared to issue a decree banning a burkini bathing event at the town’s Speed Water Park.
A burkini is a swimsuit that covers the entire body except for the face, hands and feet.
The event, restricted to women, girls and boys under the age of 10, is being organized by Smile 13, a cultural, sport and self-help nonprofit for Muslim women and children. Smile 13 claims to have rented the water park for September 10 and in its promotional flyer states that “Bathing in a burkini is authorized.”
While not strictly-speaking illegal, the mayor nevertheless decided to ban the event because it is likely to lead to a breach of the peace. “I am shocked and angry,” he said. “I consider this event to be a provocation that we don’t need in the current climate. It is pure religious isolationism.”

CAIR has shown us it believes in using deception. This video is a deceptive attempt to make you unconcerned about the deception it practices.
BY RYAN MAURO Wed, August 10, 2016
The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), identified as a Muslim Brotherhood front by the U.S. government, has released a new video through its Michigan chapter that ironically uses deception to allay worries about Islamist deception.
The video featuring CAIR-MI Executive Director Dawud Walid says that “anti-Muslim bigots” who “sow the seeds of distrust about Muslims and Islam” are incorrect in referencing taqiyya, an Islamic doctrine permitting deception. Some Sunnis reject taqiyya as being Shiite in origin, but doctrines of deception nonetheless exist and are used by Islamists from either branch of Islam.
Walid says that taqiyya “gives permission for individuals to conceal some of their thoughts or beliefs due to extremely dire circumstances,” such as a Muslim who worships a false idol under threat of torture or death.

Does Integration Prevent Radicalization?
We asked for your views on this question and received more than 600 responses. Here is a sampling of what our readers wrote.
We recently reported the FBI has an ISIS “kill list.” Many on the list belong to non-Muslim groups trying to help young Muslims integrate culturally into American society.
Pro-jihadi websites are urging American Muslims to undertake "personal jihad" against those who are helping Muslims study or settle in the United States. They know that one more integrated US Muslim is one less jihadi fighter.
In general, close to 26 perecent believe that integration prevents radicalization, 20 percent think it can help partially, 14 percent think it is unlikely to help and 40 percent think it will not help.

Here are a sampling of the more than 600 responses we received to our question:
Yes, I work with Muslim refugees in the Detroit area.  Just this past week one of them (from Syria) commented on their disapproval of neighboring Muslim countries who do not take in refugees or help them in any way.  They are very surprised that non-Muslim countries, Germany and the USA, are willing to help.  Now that they are here in the U.S., they see the difference and are very grateful.  They have told us that they never want to return to Syria because we are their new family.  I know that there is a danger in allowing refugees into our country, but I believe that most realize that we are not the devils they thought us to be.

No, the apparent integration of Muslims into American society provides no guarantee that this will inhibit their future radicalization, as we can see both in Europe and the US. And the reason is simple: lapsed or non-devout Muslims, like members of other religious communities, can become "born again fundamentalists" and thence embrace Islamist ideology rather quickly, even if they appear to have been Westernized.

On Sunday, another man with a machete was arrested by police in the eastern Belgian city of Liege.
The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the August 6 terrorist attack in the Belgian city Charleroi, in which a man with a machete slashed two police officers while screaming "Allahu Akbar."
One of the officers was seriously injured. The terrorist was shot dead at the scene by a third officer.

Take for granted your right to wear nail polish, wear your hair however you want, go to a party with men and women or own a dog? Not if you live in Iran.

The Patriarch of Antioch accused Western countries of hypocrisy in their fight against Islamist extremism by caring about oil more than refugees
A senior Syrian priest accused Western countries of abandoning their principles and allowing Islamist extremists to massacre Christians in the Middle East because they are blinded by their lust for oil, according to the Christian media outlet Crossmap.

Patriarch Ignatius Joseph III Younan of the Syriac Catholic Church of Antioch made the remarks to a meeting of the Knights of Columbus in Toronto.

"We have to understand that totalitarianism based on Islamic creed is the worst among all systems of government. Yes, my friends, the very survival of Christians in the cradle of Christianity is quite in danger," the patriarch said.

"Why shall we wonder at the rise of the Islamic State or its new 'Caliphate,' when these 'allied rich countries' - with among the most retrograde systems of government - continue to channel funding and weapons to terrorists spreading hatred and committing barbaric atrocities in the name of a religion?" he asked, referring to Saudi Arabia.

He directly attacked the West's funding of Syrian rebel militia groups saying, "We, the Church pastors, kept warning Westerners who pretended to have the right to interfere in Syria in the name of democracy, that fomenting violence would surely lead to terrible sectarian war because of the complex religious and ethnic diversity in Syria. We knew innocent people, primarily Christians and minorities, would suffer most."

He also blasted Western support of Saudi Arabia, quoting New York Times Columnist Nicholas Kristof, who said,"For decades, Saudi Arabia has recklessly financed and promoted a harsh and intolerant Wahhabi version of Islam around the world in a way that is, quite predictably, producing terrorists."

"You can't be allied with regimes that discriminate or do not accept the religious freedom of non-Muslims" he asserted. "It's not honest or sincere to be allied to such a regime, and [then] to say we have an annual report about religious freedom."

Saudi Arabia does not allow any non-Muslim to enter the Muslim holy city of Mecca. Churches are forbidden and leaving Islam is punishable by death. Women are not allowed to drive or perform a host of other basic tasks without the permission of their male guardian, their father, husband, brother or occasionally son.

The Patriarch is right to attack the West for supporting regimes that promote Islamist extremism while it attempts to cope with that very same problem. Without directly tackling the Saudi regime, which funds its totalitarian vision of Wahhabist Islam worldwide, measures to address radical Islam will be addressing the symptoms rather than the cause.

Ankara: Turks beat fellow Turk for “not holding Turkish flag”
In Ankara, a young was beaten on the night of July 30 by three assailants for not holding a Turkish flag. A video (see below) of the assault has gone viral.
The initial reports and social media accounts that shared the video said the victim was a French tourist. But the Turkish newspaper Birgun discovered that the victim, Mustafa Turan Caliskan, was an ethnic Turk from Yozgat, a central Anatolian city in Turkey.
In the video, the attackers are heard laughing and saying, “We gave you a Turkish flag but you did not accept it. If you do not accept the Turkish flag, you will be punched. You have to be a man. If we give this to you, you have to hold it.”

Cooperating with the U.S., Brazil beefs up counter-terror forces after police arrested an ‘amateur’ cell of 12 terrorists planning an attack
Brazil has enhanced its security cooperation on counter-terrorism with the United States ahead of the Olympic Games, which begin in Rio de Janeiro Friday, August 5.
Brazilian police have been training alongside the FBI and specialized American counter-terrorism units in order to ensure the country is prepared for the security challenges of the games. Brazil has so far not suffered any major terrorist threat and, as a consequence, its security forces were underprepared for the scale of the Olympics, which jihadist groups have threatened to attack.
Dozens of Brazilian officials flew to the United States to train with American forces and to observe how the U.S. guards major sporting events such as the Super Bowl, according to the New York Times.
In late July, Brazilian counter-terror police arrested a cell of 12 would-be terrorists who were plotting to mount an attack against the games, as reported by CNN. Ten were reportedly arrested initially followed by two later arrests.
Police were able to catch the cell by monitoring communications on the messaging service WhatsApp. The group called  itself the "Defenders of the Shariah."

Following a lengthy FBI investigation, Nicholas Young was arrested and charged with attempting to help ISIS' ability to communicate secretly.
A Washington, D.C. transit cop has been arrested and charged with attempting to provide material support to the Islamic State (ISIS, ISIL). Nicholas Young, a convert to Islam stands accused of trying to find better ways to communicate secretly and evade detection by the authorities.
Young is the first American police officer to be charged in connection with terrorism.
He allegedly purchased technology items for this purpose to send to individuals he thought were ISIS agents but who were, in fact, undercover FBI agents.
Last week, Young allegedly sent $245 worth of gift card codes to an undercover agent.
Since he was first investigated in 2010, he repeatedly expressed an interest in terrorist activist to FBI informants.

An estimated 513,000 women and girls in America are at risk of or have undergone female genital mutilation.
The number of women and girls at risk of FGM in the U.S. has tripled since 1990, according to a new report released by the Government Accountability Office on Monday, as reported by the Washington Free Beacon.
"The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimated that 513,000 women and girls in the United States were at risk of or had been subjected to female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C) in 2012, a threefold increase from its 1990 estimate,” the Government Accountability Office said in its report.
“CDC attributes this change primarily to increased immigration from countries where FGM/C is practiced, rather than an increase in the occurrence of FGM/C. Agency estimates were not able to distinguish between those who have already been subjected to FGM/C and those who are at risk," the report continued.

Iran Tricks Families of Newly Executed Prisoners
Called to say goodbye to their loved ones, families show up to say goodbye to prisoners only to be told to pick up their bodies at the morgue.
Thu, August 4, 2016
Families of at least 20 inmates in an Iranian prison showed up at the prison after being called to say goodbye to their loved ones. Instead, they found out that all the prisoners had already been hanged, with some already hastily buried.
The rest of the families were told to pick up the bodies in the prison morgue.
Iran, a Shiite-majority country, had accused the prisoners who were all Sunnis (including some foreigners) and accused of various crimes including several murders, bombings and robberies as well as undermining national security. Some were accused of participating in attacks by a Takfiri-Salafist group called “Monotheism and Jihad,” which Iranian intelligence authorities said were responsible for 24 armed attacks which killed 21 people over the course of two years.

Over 100,000 students protested against Islamist terrorism in the capital Dhaka and other major cities demanding an end to violence
More than 100,000 students took to the streets in Bangladesh on Monday to protest the rise of Islamist extremism in the South Asian country, according to Association Press. Protesters linked arms and formed human chains in the capital Dhaka and in other major cities. They carried banners saying "Bangladesh stands against terrorism" and "We want peace; no place for terrorism."
One of the organizers, former lawmaker Tanvir Shakil Joy, told reporters, “We stand against any sort of extreme form of ideology. We denounce terrorism.”
Joy added, “I feel encouraged to see that so many students, both male and female, have joined the protest today.”

The U.S. paid Iran $400 million in cash last January when Iran released four Americans held in prison in the Islamic Republic. The payment was separate from lifting of international sanctions against Iran, which amounted to $50-100 billion frozen in accounts around the world.

As reported in the Wall Street Journal, the payment was revealed by U.S. and European officials and congressional staff who were later briefed on the operation.

The Obama administration denied that the money was a payoff for the release of the Americans  but said rather that it was the first installment of a $1.7 billion settlement of an existing claim Iran had against the U.S.

The claim dated back to an arms deal conducted right before the Iranian revolution, which saw the ouster of then ruler of Iran Mohammed Reza Shah Pahlavi and the installation of the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. The claim was negotiated in the international court in The Hague.

A 29-year old man in Detroit was charged after buying high-grade explosives from an undercover agent. Sebastian Gregerson, who also went by the name of Abdurrahman Bin Mikaayl, had already amassed an arsenal of weapons and had talked about carrying out an attack.
Gregerson was the subject of a 16-month undercover investigation that started when someone alerted the FBI that he had in his possession grenades and bazookas. He is charged with unregistered possession of a destructive device and unlicensed receipt of explosive materials. If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison.
Speaking for the U.S. attorney general’s office in Detroit, Gina Balaya said she was unable to comment further on the case.
Two supporters of Gregerson, including a woman wearing a hijab, who were waiting outside the federal court, refused to make comments to the press.

Many on the lists are Christians involved in student welcome ministries or who are helping Muslim refugees settle in the United States.
The FBI has begun to interview people in the U.S. whose names have appeared on an Islamic State ‘kill list,” according to the ASSIST News Service.
Among them are "many" Christians involved in international student welcome ministries or who are helping Muslim refugees settle in the United States.
The FBI visits are not related to the killing of an 86-year-old French priest by two terrorist supporters of Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) last week as he led prayer in a Normandy church.
The FBI visits were already underway before the priest was murdered.
No Americans on the Islamic State "kill lists" have been successfully targeted or killed. However, the FBI is advising those whose names are on these lists to take precautions and report anything suspicious.
Pro-jihadi websites are urging American Muslims to undertake "personal jihad" missions against Christians, journalists, military personnel, police, social workers and others who are helping Muslims study or settle in the United States.
The "kill lists" are part of the cyber war which the Islamic State is waging to bring more attacks to American soil.

The short clip shows women who escaped from Islamic State territory burning a niqab and chanting anti-ISIS and anti-Semitic slogans.
Syrian women have been filmed burning a niqab (face veil) after escaping from Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) territory.
One of the women, who was wearing a red hijab, shouts anti-ISIS slogans to the crowd which responds with hearty “amens.”
"May Allah burn ISIS like they burned us and oppressed us," she declaims.
"May Allah burn them in the fires of hell and the fires of the devil (AMEN!) Allah will help the victorious and take away the Jews (AMEN!)"
The addition of the anti-Semitic comment at the end is interesting because it shows how deeply embedded anti-Semitism is in Arabic society, even at the joyous moment of liberation from the tyranny of the Islamic State, she takes the time to damn the Jews.
The video is otherwise encouraging, showing the passion of the opposition to the forced wearing of the niqab among otherwise religious Muslims and the hatred harbored towards the Islamic State from those living under its brutal rule.

While the West worries about terror attacks on its soil, Islamist extremists are massacring people across the Middle East and Africa.
In the last seven days the following massacres have taken place in the Middle East and North Africa. Clarion Project normally does not have the space report every terrorist attack that happens around the world.

But here's what's been going on:

Yemen - Friday July 29: Islamist militants in Yemen destroyed a 16th century mosque marking the shrine of the renowned Sufi saint Sheikh Abdulhadi al-Sudi in the city of Taez. The Salafist militants destroyed the mosque because of their iconoclastic belief that such shrines are idolatrous.

Somalia - Sunday July 31: Twin suicide car-bombings hit the headquarters of Somalia's Criminal Investigations Department in the capital Mogadishu before gunmen attempted to storm the building. Five civilians and one police officer were killed. Police returned fire killing four terrorists. Islamist terrorist group Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack.

Iraqi Kurdistan - Sunday July 31: Militants attacked a gas facility and an oil field in Iraqi Kurdistan. Gunmen opened fire on guards at the gas facility and killed four employees then escaped after planting bombs. Three suicide bombers attacked the Bai Hassan oil field, the largest oil field in Kirkuk province in a separate attack. Two of the bombers were killed by the Kurdish Peshmerga and the third detonated his explosives and killed an engineer. ISIS-affiliated media reported the attack.

Nigeria – Sunday July 31: The Nigerian army successfully disposed of a bomb placed at the home of a former governor of Borno state. The bomb is believed to have been planted by Boko Haram. The army also ambushed Boko Haram terrorists, killing one and injuring another who escaped.

Disputed Territories, Israel – Sunday July 31: A Palestinian terrorist attempted to stab an Israeli soldier at a checkpoint near the city of Nablus. The IDF shot and killed him. Earlier in the week IDF soldiers killed a terrorist responsible for the murder of a rabbi and father of 10 children on July 1 and arrested three of his alleged accomplices.

Afghanistan – Monday, August 1: Taliban terrorists attempted to storm the Northgate hotel, a secured hotel used by foreigners in the capital Kabul. A car-bomb was detonated followed by an attack by gunmen. One policeman was killed in the attack, but security services were able to kill the three terrorists, who were prevented from entering the hotel.

Libya - Monday August 1: The United States launched a wave of precision air strikes against Islamic State targets in Libya. The strikes, conducted at the request of the internationally recognized Libyan government, mark a new phase in the fight against ISIS in the war-torn country.

Syria – Monday August 1: A Russian helicopter was shot down by Syrian rebels killing all five on board. Russia says the helicopter was returning from a mission to deliver humanitarian aid to the city of Aleppo. It is not known which rebel group brought down the helicopter. A video showing one of the Russians killed in the helicopter being dragged through the dirt while armed men screamed "Allahu Akbar" was shared on an Islamic State website.

These attacks are just a snapshot of the daily atrocities committed by Islamist terrorists across the Middle East and North Africa that do not make headline news in the West.

In a break in tone from previous issues, the Islamic State's new Dabiq issue focuses on tackling Christianity in particular and Western ideologies in general
DISCLAIMER: Clarion Project does not endorse the contents of the Islamic State's propaganda magazine Dabiq. We are sharing this information because we believe that to defeat the pernicious ideology of Islamism we need to expose and discredit it, which means revealing what the group says it believes and wants in full.
The fifteenth issue of the Islamic State's Dabiq magazine is called Breaking the Cross and is targeted at discrediting Christianity and Western secularism.
Unlike previous issues which were primarily directed at Muslim-majority societies, this issue is full of propaganda aimed at converting non-Muslims to the Islamic State's puritanical and bloodthirsty interpretation of Islam.
The foreword includes direct attacks on the ideologies of Christianity, feminism, secular liberalism and atheism, naming them individually and offering rebuttals. It also references the recent attacks in France and Germany and threatens further violent attacks.
The magazine puts forward a dual approach. On the one hand ISIS calls on the population of Europe to "abandon their infidelity and accept Islam, the religion of sincerity and submission to the Lord of the heavens and the earth."
On the other they threaten continual warfare against those who do not, saying "we call you to reflect on these questions as the bloodthirsty knights of the Caliphate continue to wage their war of just terror against you."

In a public statement in Ankara after the attempted coup, the Turkish president lashed out against the American military establishment.
U.S. Central Command Commander General Joseph Votel said on July 28 that a number of the U.S. military’s closest allies in the Turkish military have been placed in jail following the July 15 attempted coup.
“We’ve certainly had relationships with a lot of Turkish leaders, military leaders in particular,” General Votel said at the Aspen Security Forum meeting in Colorado. “I’m concerned about what the impact is on those relationships as we continue.”
Director of National Intelligence James Clapper also echoed General Votel’s statements.
The failed coup and the government’s backlash have “affected all segments of the national security apparatus in Turkey,” Clapper stated. “Many of our interlocutors have been purged or arrested.”
Referring to the U.S.’s Middle East strategy, Clapper added, “There’s no question that this is going to set back and make more difficult.”
On July 29, in a public statement in Ankara caught on video, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan lashed out against Votel’s comments. “A human is supposed to feel embarrassed a little bit. How dare you make this decision?” he railed. “Who are you? First, you will know your place. You will know yourself. When you – in the name of democracy - need to thank this state that has repelled this coup attempt in my country, on the contrary, you side with coup plotters.

A new report by the European Union's law enforcement agency highlighted the long-term risk posed by children indoctrinated by ISIS.
The children of foreign fighters living in Islamic State territory are being trained to be the next generation of Islamic State fighters, according to a new report by Europol, the joint European law enforcement agency as reported by The Independent.
Many fighters from around the world who travelled to join the Islamic State brought their children with them. Still others had children while in Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) territory.
“In their propaganda, ISIS has often shown that they train these minors to become the next generation of foreign terrorist fighters, which may pose a future security threat to member states,” Europol's annual report on terrorism in the European Union said.
The report said that children raised in the Islamic State were an issue of "particular concern."
ISIS has indoctrinated the children under their control to such an extent that researchers have argued they will continue to pose a threat even if the Islamic State is defeated.
"They are an immediate threat and will become a much longer-term one,” Nikita Malik of the British-based, counter-extremism think tank the Quilliam Foundation said. “Their educational indoctrination breeds hatred against the West and calls all other states illegitimate – these children will have no access to or memory of any other ideas.”
Clarion Project first reported the training of children in Islamic State camps in November 2014, when the group released a video showing the children of recruits from Kazakhstan training in a military camp.

Newly released audio tapes show Ali Hammuda, an imam at Cardiff’s Al-Manar Mosque, preaching that it is permissible under Islam for men to have sex slaves.
Hammuda is also suspected of radicalizing three young British men in 2014. The men ended up travelling to Syria where they joined ISIS.
The imam’s controversial speech was recorded secretly at a halaqa  (religious study gathering) at the mosque by an undercover reporter.  In the recording, Hammuda, who is the English Islamic programs officer at the mosque, gives his interpretation of a hadith (saying of the Islamic prophet Mohammed).
He tells them, “One of the interpretations as to what this means is that towards the end of time, there will be many wars like what we are seeing today, and because of these wars women will be taken as captives, as slaves, yeah, women will be taken as slaves.”
“And then, er, her master has relations with her because this is permissible in Islam, it’s permissible to have relations with a woman who is your slave or your wife.”

Islamic Jihad, a terror organization based in the Gaza Strip, unveiled its latest weapons in a family-oriented festival called the “Bond of Blood.” The “festival” honored terrorists who had died or been wounded perpetrating attacks on Israel.
Pictures of the festival show children who had been brought to the event dressed up like terrorists, sporting guns and other weapons.
At the festival, the Al-Quds Brigade, the military division of Islamic Jihad, revealed it had acquired a new long-range rocket ready to be used against Israel.

Confused by the current unrest in Turkey? Here is a guide to the major players and political parties to help sort it out.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan is currently the president of Turkey, having assumed the position after serving as prime minister from 2003 to 2014. Although his current office traditionally holds less power, Erdogan has made himself the de facto ruler of Turkey (while advocating for more power through an executive presidency system for Turkey).

He served as the Mayor of Istanbul from 1994 to 1998, a position from which he was dismissed and banned from office after being sentenced to 10 months in prison for inciting religious intolerance in 1998. (See video below)

British-Saudi dual citizen Amina al-Jeffrey was taken to Saudi Arabia by her father after she kissed a boy at 16. She is desperate to return to the UK.
Amina al-Jeffrey was born in Swansea, UK, and taken at age 16 to Saudi Arabia by her father, who disapproved of her Western lifestyle.
Now 21, she is fighting a court battle in the High Court in London against her father to be allowed to return to the UK.
She alleges that her father, Mohammed al-Jeffrey, put "metal bars" on her bedroom and described being a "locked-up girl with a shaved head."
Still a judge in the High Court, Justice Holman, has asserted, "We have to be careful about asserting the supremacy our cultural standards."
Holman also said that it is unclear whether or not Britain had jurisdiction in the matter since al-Jeffrey was an adult with dual Saudi and UK citizenship.

Robin Reza Shahini disappeared while visiting his mother in Iran. He is reportedly being held on unspecified national security charges.
Thu, July 28, 2016
The Iranian regime has arrested another Iranian-American dual national on unspecified national security charges.
Three dual American-Iranian citizens, along with citizens of Canada, the UK and France are now being held in prisons in Iran, but charges have not been publicized.
Prisoners, the families of those imprisoned and diplomats told The Guardian that some are being held in order to be used as bargaining chips in future prisoner exchanges with Western countries.
Robin Reza Shahini, from San Diego California, disappeared while visiting his mother in Iran.
"The report on the arrest of an Iranian American dual national is correct,” a spokesman for the semi-official Fars news agency told a news conference in response to questions about the arrest.

A delegate for Sanders at the Democratic National Convention is a member of Muslims of the Americas, which is a rebranding of Jamaat ul-Fuqra. The Clarion Project has learned that a delegate for Bernie Sanders at the Democratic National Convention is a member of Muslims of the Americas, which is a rebranding of Jamaat ul-Fuqra, a cultish Islamist group that is led by an extremist cleric in Pakistan and has a history of terrorism and criminal activity. The individual is also running for the Alaska State House.
Jamaat ul-Fuqra
Jamaat ul-Fuqra currently goes by the name of Muslims of the Americas and denies Fuqra’s existence. It changed its name after being involved in a series of terrorist attacks and plots in the 1980s and early 1990s. The State Department included Fuqra in its annual terrorism reports until 2000, describing Fuqra as an “Islamic sect that seeks to purify Islam through violence.”

After many years of a gradual erosion of the secular state, the Turkish government has been sprinting towards Islamist tyranny since the failed coup attempt. The response of Donald Trump to this new reality is unsettling, to say the least.
He declined to commit a potential Trump administration to opposing the Erdogan government’s crackdown, using the Islamist line that the U.S. lacks the moral authority to criticize other countries’ human rights abuses.

For the fourth time in weeks, a rumor that a home construction was really a church sparked a riot and the destruction of Christian homes.
For the fourth time in weeks, Christians were attacked in Egypt by a Muslim mob after rumors circulated that a Christian house that was being built was going to be turned into a church.
During the attack, which occurred on July 22 in Saft AL-Kharsa village in the Beni Suef governorate, four houses owned by Christians were looted and destroyed.
Two days prior to the attack, the owner of the house that was under construction was called in for questioning by security forces. After an investigation confirmed that the owner was not building a church – and after he signed a pledge declaring that the structure was his home – police determined that his license to build was legitimate.
Speaking to the International Christian Concern (ICC), Emad Samuel, a Christian resident of the village said, “On Friday, July 22, following the Muslim noon prayer, dozens of Muslim young men gathered in the front of some Christian-owned houses. They were chanting Islamic slogans and they hurled bricks and gravel to the houses.
“They then broke into four houses owned by Christians…they looted and destroyed the contents of these houses and smashed a car owned by one of [the Christians].”
The village, which has no church, is home to 60 Christian families

2,745 judges have been laid off since the coup, but the case of a Kurdish judge now under investigation is unprecedented in the country's judicial history.
Since the attempted coup on July 15 in Turkey, more than 500 judges and prosecutors have been detained and 2,745 judges have been laid off from their jobs for allegedly having connections with the attempted coup.
But the case of a Kurdish judge currently being investigated in Turkey is unprecedented in the history of the country’s judiciary system.
Turkey’s High Council of Judges and Prosecutors are looking into Kemal Sahin, who was appointed to the Istanbul court of appeals on March 25, for his posts on Facebook and Twitter -- including a photo he took at a book fair with his two daughters and with the Armenian author Mıgırdic Margosyan.
Just five days after his appointment, the probe into Sahin was launched.
Some of the accusations directed at Sahin include:

Clinton VP Pick Tim Kaine's Islamist Ties
Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s newly-announced running mate, Virginia Senator Tim Kaine, has a history of embracing Islamists.
BY RYAN MAURO Sat, July 23, 2016
Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s newly-announced running mate, Virginia Senator Tim Kaine, has a history of embracing Islamists. He appointed a Hamas supporter to a state immigration commission; spoke at a dinner honoring a Muslim Brotherhood terror suspect and received donations from well-known Islamist groups.
Appointing a Muslim Brotherhood Front Leader Who Supports Hamas
In 2007, Kaine was the Governor of Virginia and, of all people chose Muslim American Society (MAS) President Esam Omeish to the state’s Immigration Commission. A Muslim organization against Islamism criticized the appointment and reckless lack of vetting.
Federal prosecutors said in a 2008 court filing that MAS was “founded as the overt arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in America.” A Chicago Tribune investigation in 2004 confirmed this, as well as MAS’ crafty use of deceptive semantics to appear moderate. Convicted terrorist and admitted U.S. Muslim Brotherhood member Abdurrahman Alamoudi testified in 2012, “Everyone knows that MAS is the Muslim Brotherhood.”

Syed Ahsan Gilani is the spokesperson for the Atheist & Agnostic Alliance Pakistan, a support network for non-believers in the religious country
Syed Ahsan Gilani is an activist and a free thinker born and raised in Pakistan. He spent his early youth as a practicing Sunni Muslim. In his late-teens, He began to read the Quran critically and left religion soon after.
In 2012, he co-founded the Atheist & Agnostic Alliance Pakistan, where he advocates for the acceptance of religious dissent and works to create support group for those who have left Islam. He is now the spokesperson for that organization.

Turkish Police Torture, Rape Own Soldiers, Officers, Judges
A new Amnesty report details the horrific torture that thousands have been subjected to since the post-coup round-up.
BY WILLIAM REED Mon, July 25, 2016
Turkish soldiers beaten by police in a detention center. (Photo: Video screenshot)
Following the attempted coup in July 15, upon the calls of mosques all across Turkey and of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and PM Binali Yildirim to the Turkish people “to take to the streets and airports,” pro-government Islamists started hunting Turkish soldiers – their own soldiers – in the streets, beating, torturing, lynching them.
Torture and beatings of surrendering soldiers continued at police stations, too.
In a disturbing video published on social media and some Turkish newspapers, a police officer threatens a soldier with raping his 10-months-old baby.
The police officer asks a beaten and handcuffed soldier: “Do you have a child?” The soldier responds: “Yes, 10-months-old.”

France is the most visited country in the world. Over 600 people wrote us their answer to this question. The answers were very divided.

The response to our question asking our readers, “After the increasing number of devastating terror attacks in France, would you refrain from taking a vacation there?” was very evenly divided. Many people who responded that they would still go to France said they would not let terrorism control their lives and that terrorism can happen anywhere.

Others answered decidedly that they would not go to France; many also said they refrain from visiting Europe as well as Turkey.

France is the most visited country in the world. Over 600 people wrote us their answer to this question. Here are some of the responses:

I have spent several months each year since I retired in France (including Paris and Nice) and this year will be no exception.  I refuse to let the Islamic terrorists influence my travel plans.  On the other hand, I would feel much better if there were a better global concerted effort to eliminate this threat.
I would suspend a vacation to almost anywhere in Europe until they get control over the Islamic radicals that are terrorizing the area.

I will still holiday in France or the Islamists have won.

A Florida man allegedly attempted to fly to Syria & join ISIS, assisted by two accomplices who gave him arms training & drove him to the airport.
Three Florida men have been arrested and charged with attempting to support the Islamic State. One man, Gregory Hubbard, 52, of West Palm Beach, was arrested at Miami airport. The FBI alleges he was attempting to board a flight to Germany, from where he planned to travel to Turkey by train and then to Syria.
The other two men, Darren Arness Jackson, 50, also of West Palm Beach, and Dayne Atani Christian, 31, of Lake Park, Florida were arrested for providing firearms training to Hubbard to help him in his terroristic plans. The two reportedly expressed a desire to join ISIS.
Jackson also drove Hubbard to the airport.
The three men were caught because Hubbard was in touch with an undercover FBI operative. He introduced the operative to the other two men. He also told the agent he wanted to travel to Syria "for the purpose of engaging in violent jihad," according to the Justice Department.
The three men face maximum sentences of 20 years in prison for attempting to provide material support to a terrorist organization.
Christian faces an additional charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years.

The Kurds had warned the fighters to leave the town within 49 hours as a bombing campaign was to begin.
The men can be seen hiding behind veils, their masculine features and hands still prominent. They are eventually stripped to their underwear.
Earlier this year, ISIS fighters in burqas and makeup were caught trying to flee Ramadi

Last year -- from April 2015 to March 2016 -- was the first year medical professionals were legally obliged to record instances of FGM.
Last year, 5,702 cases of female genital mutilation (FGM) were reported in England, the first year that medical professionals have been legally obliged to report cases that they come across.
The figures were collected from April 2015 to March 2016.
Most of those who whose FGM was recorded were immigrants who had the procedure performed abroad.
Over half of the cases of FGM were recorded in London.
But 43 girls who suffered FGM were born in the UK, while 18 had the procedure done in the country.
The British government estimates that the real figures are much higher. They say 170,000 women and girls living in the UK have undergone FGM and further estimate that 65,000 girls under the age of 13 are at risk.
Female genital mutilation has been illegal in the UK since 1985, but there has never been a conviction for performing the procedure.

What connects the three attacks that took place in Germany in just three days?
A suicide bomber blew himself up in a bar in Ansbach, Germany on Sunday night, killing himself and wounding 12 others. He was a Syrian asylum seeker and his motive is not yet known.

A man with a machete murdered a pregnant Polish woman in the street in Reutlingen, Germany on Sunday and injured two others. He was also an Syrian asylum seeker and was reportedly in love with the woman he murdered. He has been arrested.

A teenager with a handgun shot and killed nine people at a McDonald's in a mall in Germany. He was a German-Iranian citizen obsessed with school shootings after years of bullying.

What do these attacks have in common?

It would be inaccurate to label these attacks as instances of Islamist terrorism, especially since details have not yet emerged about the suicide bombing in Ansbach.

Yet to say it has nothing to do with Islamist extremism would also be inaccurate.

The first attack, the mass shooting in Germany, seems to have little to do with Islamist terrorism, but a lot more in common with mass school shootings in America. The pattern fits, with the killer having of a history of extensive bullying, no friends and a history of mental illness. Police found newspaper cuttings of previous mass shootings in his family home. He also had a book called "Rampage in Head: Why Students Kill."

This evidence led the chief of police in Munich to label the Munich attacker a "classical shooter without any political motivation."

The other two attacks are more likely to have links to Islamist terrorism. FIrstly, attacks in broad daylight with knives, machetes and other bladed weapons are frequent second choices for Islamist terrorists who are unable to obtain firearms.

An excellent example is that of the terrorist attack in Germany on July 18 when a Pakistani teenager who had pledged allegiance to the Islamic State wounded four people with an axe in a rampage on a train. Intermittent stabbing attacks have also been common in Israel since October 2015.

Whatever the personal motivations of the attacker in Reutlingen, the prevalence of highly-publicized stabbing attacks creates a milieu in which such attacks are part of life. This increases the likelihood of disgruntled or mentally ill people carrying out such attacks.

So too with the suicide bombing.

It is too early to tell what the motivations of the suicide bomber were, although we do know that he had twice tried to commit suicide before and had received psychiatric care.

Suicide bombings have been popularized by Islamist terrorists worldwide. The technique was pioneered in the 1980s by the Tamil nationalist militant group the Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka. The Tigers modeled their attacks on the Beirut suicide bombing in 1983 by Hezbollah, which killed 281 US marines.

After the Tigers used suicide bombings to great effect, the technique was further popularized by Palestinian terrorist groups such as Hamas and Islamic Jihad as well as the secular movement Fatah and more broadly by Islamist terrorist groups such as Al-Qaeda and, most recently ,the Islamic State.

Therefore, whatever the motives of Sunday night's suicide bomber, his choice of weapon certainly displays his Islamist influences. In this milieu, violent terrorist attacks take their cues from the current culture. And in today’s culture, that is being defined by Islamist terror.

US-Backed Syrian Rebel Group Beheads Child
Syrian rebel fighters from the US-backed rebel group Nour-al-din el-Zanki have beheaded a child thought to be 11-13 in a shocking video.
Wed, July 20, 2016
US-backed Syrian rebels, screaming "Allahu Akbar,"  brutally beheaded a child named Abdullah Issa. The shocking clip shows fighters from Nour-al-din el-Zanki telling the camera, "These are the prisoners from Liwa al-Quds (Jerusalem Brigade – a Palestinian militia group). He [Assad] can't stoop any lower. He sent us children today, are you sending us children?"

America funds Nour-al-din el-Zanki, which fights against the Assad regime.

Liwa al-Quds (The Jerusalem Brigade) is a pro-Assad Palestinian paramilitary group. The rebel group accused the boy of being a spy.

Referring to the prisoner, one jihadi says, "These are the dogs of Assad. These are your people Bashar." Another says, "We shall not leave anyone in Handarat," the Palestinian refugee camp where a battle between regime and rebel forces is currently taking place.

To shouts of "Takbir" and "Allahu Akbar," a fighter from the group saws through the neck of Abdullah Issa. In a grisly scene, he then holds the head aloft and exclaims "Allahu Akbar" several more times.

Reports of Issa's age vary between 11 and 13. Some say he was an 11-year old Palestinian from Handarat; others say he is a Syrian from the city of Homs.

Syrian Observatory for Human Rights manager Rami Abdel Rahman told France Press, "The child is no more than 13-years old. He was arrested today in the area of Handarat, but the slaughtering happened in el-Mashab neighborhood.

"This is one of the most terrible execution acts that I have seen since the revolution began in Syria," he added.

Chris Baker hosted Corey Saylor of the Council on American-Islamic Relations to talk about the organization’s latest Islamophobia report.
BY RYAN MAURO Thu, July 21, 2016
On June 22, radio host Chris Baker had Corey Saylor of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) on his program to talk about the organization’s latest Islamophobia report.
CAIR regularly demonizes critics of its Islamist ties as anti-Muslim bigots, with the Clarion Project and its national security analyst, Professor Ryan Mauro, as top targets.
This time, we were there to challenge this defamation and inform the audience about CAIR’s true intent.
Listen to the show: (Clarion joins the conversation at the nine-minute mark.)
CAIR was identified as an “entity” of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood by the Justice Department in 2007. It was labeled an unindicted co-conspirator in the trial of a related Brotherhood entity for financing Hamas, a U.S.-designated terrorist group.

An online intimidation campaign has been launched in Morocco to try to prevent women from wearing bikinis on the country’s beaches.  The campaign has begun to post photos of women clad in scanty bathing suits to Facebook, under the false name Aicha Amal.
The pictures of women were taken secretly and are meant to shame women into “repenting.” The group claims it has taken 10,000 pictures on Morocco’s beaches.
The pictures are accompanied by captions which read: "Rediscover the high road and turn to God"; "this is what happens in Morocco, land of Islam, principality of believers"; and "watch out, young Moroccan women, we have eyes that are filming you on the beaches and we will show your photos to prevent the deterioration of the country."
Meanwhile, in France, a woman vacationing in an Alpine resort was stabbed along with her three young daughters by a Moroccan-born man identified only as “Mohammed B,” 37. It was initially reported that the man became infuriated at the mother and her daughters, aged eight, 12 and 14, because they were “scantily dressed.” The report was dismissed as a rumor by French prosecutor Raphael Balland.
French television, who also reported that the man was angry that the girls were wearing shorts also reported that the man “may have acted out of religious motives.”
The perpetrator stabbed the girls while they were eating breakfast on the terrace of their chalet , went inside and stabbed the mother. He was staying with his pregnant wife and two children at the same resort next door to the family he attacked.
The eight-year girl was initially reported as being in critical condition. The other girls as well as the mother sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Critics of the event's openly anti-Islam stance missed why it happened at all: People are furious with the failure to deal with Islamist extremism.

Gay rights activists have not traditionally found a political home on the right. Yet gay activist and alternative-right icon Milo Yiannopoulus wants to change that, arguing that while the Republican party may not love homosexuality, Islam wants gays dead, and therefore gay people should support Trump (who Milo calls "Daddy").

This was the theme of "WAKE UP," billed as "the most fab party at the RNC," which brought Milo together with controversial activist Pamela Geller who has gained notoriety for her "Draw Mohammed"cartoon competition as well as billboards in New York which read: "In the war between the civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man. Support Israel. Defeat Jihad."

The event was panned by media outlets such as Salon in a piece which shrugged off the event as a "virulently anti-Islam party at the RNC" and The Nation, which slammed it as "Islamophobes, White Supremacists, and Gays for Trump—the Alt-Right Arrives at the RNC."

Teen Vogue said the event "perpetuates Islamophobia." The Nation's piece revealed the alarmingly open presence of white nationalists at the event and the seemingly small numbers of gay people who showed up.

Dutch politician Geert Wilders, who spoke at the event, referred to Europe as "Eurabia" and said, “Islam is the problem."

But critics who were aghast at this flagrantly un-PC stance, completely missed why sections of the LGBT community are turning to Trump.

If they would have looked to France, they would have seen that gay support for the far right has already happened there. In 2015 a national scandal occurred when it emerged that the winner of France's largest gay magazine's beauty contest was an outspoken supporter of France's right wing Front Nationale.

Since the coup, Erdogan has launched a brutally efficient purge against his political enemies leading many to question the coup's bizarre events.
In the aftermath of the attempted coup in Turkey Friday night, thousands of teachers as well as police, military personnel, judges, governors and more have been dismissed.  The list includes:

21,000 private teachers have licenses removed
15,000 suspended from education ministry
8,000 police officers detained or suspended
6,000 soldiers detained
1,500 staff at Ministry of Finance dismissed
2,745 judges dismissed
1,577 deans - Education board demands resignation
492 sacked from Religious Affairs Directorate
399 from Ministry of Family and Social Policies stripped of responsibilities
257 fired from the prime minister’s office
100 intelligence officials sacked
47 district governors dismissed
30 provincial governors dismissed
20 news websites blocked
In addition, public sector employees have reportedly been forbidden from leaving the country.

The alacrity with which the above thousands  were either arrested or purged from their position, has led many to assume that Turkish President Recip Tayyip Erdogan had prepared the lists before the coup.

The European Union commissioner in charge of Turkey’s bid, Johannes Hahn, to join the EU echoed these sentiments, saying, "It looks at least as if something has been prepared. The lists are available, which indicates it was prepared and to be used at a certain stage," Hahn said. "I'm very concerned. It is exactly what we feared."

Moreover, many dubious circumstances surrounding the coup have led others to question whether the coup was, in fact staged, to allow Erdogan to execute these purges and declare a state of emergency where authoritarian rule will be imposed on the country.

These circumstances include the fact that the coup’s plotters:

Failed to seize power

Neither Erdogan nor any members of the cabinet or high-ranking officials of Erdogan’s Islamist AK party were detained or killed.
Sent commandos to the hotel where Erdogan was staying after he had already left.
Erdogan’s $600 million presidential palace was not attacked or occupied.
Erdogan’s plane was not intercepted or shot down as he flew back to Istanbul, despite the fact that top generals in the Air Force were involved in the plot.
Coup plotters occupied Ataturk International Airport but left before Erdogan’s plane landed.
Attacked the parliament building, which was all but empty at the time.

Failed to seize control of media

After initially taking control of the state’s TRT station and CNN Turk, the plotters immediately relinquished control of these news outlets back to the government, which allowed Erdogan to leverage appeal to his followers to take to the streets in support of the government.

Whether the coup was staged or Erdogan received a tip-off about it, as other have suggested, he was able to bring the Islamist “street” out in force to support him. The fact that the Turkish public seems to be becoming increasingly radicalized is borne out by a recent poll taken in Turkey in May of this year.

According to a May poll of the Gezici Research Company, close to 1 in 5 people in Turkey (19.7 percent) support the Islamic State and over 23 percent have sympathy for it.

The poll, which was conducted face-to-face with 2,455 Turkish citizens in 24 cities,  also indicates that Turkish support for ISIS has increased 100 % in the last 2 years.

The owner of the research company that conducted the poll, Murat Gezici, explained the surprising results. “95 percent of Turkey’s population is Muslim. And a large majority of them are pious and conservative,” Gezici said.

“At the Sultanahmet Square in Istanbul, a German tourist group was targeted. In Suruc, leftists were targeted. The attack at the Istanbul Ataturk Airport took place at its international terminal,” he added. “The conservatives in Turkey see that Muslims are not targeted in the attacks that are told by official sources to have been carried out by ISIS.”

Gezici also said that most Syrian asylum seekers in Turkey of which there are 2.7 million, are sympathizers of ISIS. “As opposed to what is thought,” Gezici said, “60 percent of the Syrian asylum seekers in Turkey have come to Turkey fleeing Syrian head of state Bashar al-Assad. And a large majority of this group sees ISIS as a savior; they have sympathy for it.”

In 2015, the Gezici Research Company was raided by government inspectors after releasing an opinion poll and its pollsters were detained after releasing results of an opinion poll showing that Turkey's ruling party would losing votes in an upcoming election.

"Police told our surveyors that they were not authorized for the field study. In reality, we have had all licenses for political, economic and market studies since 2011," said Gezici at the time.

Meanwhile, jihadi propaganda is becoming more and more common in the Turkish Islamist media. In just one example, Misvak, an Islamist “humor” magazine known to be close to the ruling AKP (Justice and Development Party), recently published a cartoon praising the Islamic State.

These current statistics as well as recent events challenge the myth that Turkey is a secular, democratic state worthy of Western support, NATO membership and an appropriate candidate for EU membership.

In truth, the history of Turkey is not foreign to Islamic State-like atrocities  and has witnessed tremendous persecution of religious minorities – including the Yazidis, Christians, Alevis, Jews and others.

From the 1915 Armenian genocide, to the 1937 Dersim Alevi massacres, the 1955 anti-Greek pogroms in Istanbul, the 1978 massacre of Alevis in Maras and the 1980 massacre of Alevis in Corum, among others, many Turkish governments and a considerable part of the Turkish society have carried out brutal crimes against their minority citizens.

Religious violence is largely endemic to political Islam. Doubtlessly, the Islamic State is a huge threat to human rights and liberties worldwide, but Islamist crimes should not be restricted to this terror group only.

Analyzing the history of Islamist crimes against non-Muslims - both in Turkey and the rest of the Muslim world – as well as the Islamic doctrine of jihad would give us a better insight into why many Muslims can so easily feel sympathy for a horrific group like ISIS and why many pious Muslims can even see ISIS as a source of humor.

The recently-declassified pages of the 9/11 report implicated both administrations, saying they ignored the Saudi network in the U.S
BY RYAN MAURO Mon, July 18, 2016
The 28 pages of the recently-declassified report on the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack not only implicated the Saudi government and its network on U.S. soil, it implicates the Clinton and Bush Administrations in covering up that network and stopping the FBI from protecting America from it.

Page 11 states:

“Prior to September 11th, the FBI apparently did not focus investigative [censored]…Saudi nationals in the United States due to Saudi Arabia’s status as an American ‘ally.’…A representative of the FBI’s [censored] testified in closed hearings that, prior to September 11th, the FBI received ‘no reporting from any member of the Intelligence Community’ that there is a [censored] presence in the United States.”

The censoring of the documents leaves us to wonder what specific terror-related presence the documents are referring to, but it is very clear that it is a network linked to the Saudi government and insufficient investigative resources were allotted for it because of those linkages.

Repeat: A terrorist network threatening Americans was “apparently” not properly addressed because it wasn’t worth offending the government of Saudi Arabia, even though the documents say the Saudi government was, as one veteran FBI agent was quoted as saying, “useless and obstructionist” on counter-terrorism.
The scandalous revelations could impact the presidential campaign because the Clinton Administration had eight years to address this Saudi network in America.
The Bush Administration was in office for only 9 months, but cannot be absolved of blame. The files do not indicate that any change in direction was ordered before the attacks and it chose to classify the pages exposing the Saudis in the 2002 report.
The Bush Administration also opted not to blacklist two terror-tied organizations with strong Saudi ties: Muslim World League and International Islamic Relief Organization. The former also has strong links to Huma Abedin and her family, one of the closest advisers to Hillary Clinton.
Perhaps that decision has something to do with the Saudi ambassador to the U.S. at the time, Prince Bandar bin Sultan, who was so close to the Bush family that he was nicknamed “Bandar Bush.”
It turns out “Bandar Bush” and his wife were up to their ears in terrorist activity. This includes the FBI finding copies of checks from February 1999 to May 2002 showing payments of $74,000 from his wife to the wife of one of the Saudi intelligence officers linked to the 9/11 hijackers for “nursing services.”
As you probably assumed, the FBI found no evidence that these services were actually rendered.

Media reported there was no conclusive evidence of Saudi involvement, but the pages show that the Saudi gov't had extensive connection to the terror.
BY JENNIFER BREEDON Mon, July 18, 2016
When the classified “28 pages” of the 9/11 report were released, headlines mirrored each other with one sentence: “No conclusive ties of Saudi government backing.”
Most people would read that headline and assume closure of the issue in relation to the 9/11 hijackers.  However, the pages show that the Saudi government not only has an extensive network of contacts with known terrorists, but has provided financial support to terrorists, evaded investigative efforts by the U.S. to find suspected terrorists and has provided shelter and protection for known terrorists by use of diplomatic freedoms and “royal” perks.
Here are the main findings of the report:
(1)  The 9/11 Hijackers received support from suspected Saudi spies.

Billboards placed by a Pakistani organization urging Muslims to report suspicious activity are being attacked by CAIR and other Islamic Orgs.
BY MEIRA SVIRSKY Sun, July 17, 2016
Billboards placed in suburban Chicago by an American Pakistani organization urging Muslims to report suspicious activity are being attacked by CAIR and other Islamic Organizations.
The billboards read: "Muslims to Muslims: See Something. Say Something. Save Innocent Lives." They were paid for by the Association of Pakistani Americans of Bolingbrook.
Talat Rashid, founder of the association, said the message to Muslims is to report any activity that might be indicative of a planned terror attack. To Americans, the message is meant to be that most American Muslims are also against terror attacks.
It’s his way of doing something productive as well as countering Islamophobia. A report in a local news outlet, the Belleville News-Democrat writes, “Rashid said he and members of his organization knew some people wouldn't like the billboards, but that the members believe the message is a proactive way of teaching the public about the difference between Muslim beliefs and extreme radicals who aren't welcomed by the community.”
CAIR is one of those that objects to the billboards. Ahmed Rehab, executive director of Chicago's Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), says there is no data that proves that Muslims don’t speak up when they see suspicious activity and thinks the billboard can create problems of Islamophobia for the Muslim in the community.

The attack shows the intersection between anti-police bigotry, anti-American revolutionary beliefs and Islamist extremism.
BY RYAN MAURO Mon, July 18, 2016
Similar to the attack on police in Dallas, the perpetrator of the attack that killed at least three police officers was or is a member of the Nation of Islam, an anti-American, pro-jihadist group led by radical minister Louis Farrakhan, who advocates violence against police.
Gavin Long, the shooter, said in a YouTube video that he had belonged to Nation of Islam. He later said on Twitter that he was not a Muslim. However, the propaganda of Islamist extremists like the Nation of Islam can influence non-Muslims, and certainly someone like Long who belonged to the organization.
The attack shows the intersection between anti-police bigotry, anti-American revolutionary beliefs and Islamist extremism. Specifically, Long’s stated ideology has significant parallels with the Nation of Islam.
Long’s online postings show that he believed in violent revolution to overthrough the U.S. government and saw the police pursuing a genocide of blacks akin to the genocide of Native Americans. He said he was radicalized—or, as he put it, had a “spiritual revelation”—after leaving the U.S. Marine Corps in 2010 and traveling to Africa

The terrorist attack in the town of Nice, France, killed 84 people. Here's what we know now and how this fits into the Islamic State's broader strategy.
BY ELLIOT FRIEDLAND Sun, July 17, 2016
The Islamic State Claimed responsibility, however, the terrorist was radicalized too fast to catch:
The terrorist who used a 20-ton truck to kill 84 people in Nice on Bastille Day was radicalized too quickly to show up on the radar of anti-terror organizations, French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said Saturday.
The Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) claimed responsibility for the attack, calling Tunisian national Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel, 31, who carried out the attack, "one of the Islamic State soldiers" who "carried out the operation in response to calls to target nationals of the coalition which is fighting the Islamic State."
"It seems he became radicalized very quickly," Cazeneuve said. "This is a new type of attack. We are now confronted with individuals that are sensitive to the message of ISIS and are committed to extremely violent actions without necessarily being trained by them."
France has taken major counter-terrorism steps:
The French government also called up 12,000 reservist policemen. The government also arrested a man and a woman in Nice on Sunday in connection with the terrorist attack, in addition to three people arrested on Saturday and two on Friday, including the attacker's wife.
Meanwhile, the President of France, Francois Holland vowed to increase France's campaign against ISIS, saying, "We are going to reinforce our actions in Syria and Iraq."

One must wonder if a military coup was the only thing the opposition could do to show the world they are not OK with oppressive, Islamist rule.  Sat, July 16, 2016
Turkey has just witnessed one of the fastest and strangest attempted coup d’etats in history. And it has failed.
Nearly 3,000 soldiers, including two high-level generals, have been arrested and 2,700 judges fired, as the government begins to clamp down on those it suspects of having links to the attempted coup, which officials say left 265 people dead (161 civilians and 104 accused of plotting the coup).
Of all the details that we may never know about what actually happened last Friday night, only one thing is certain: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan  -- Turkey's top leader and head of the ruling Islamist AK Party, a known extremist, suppressor of free speech and human rights, and grand supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas -- has emerged as the ultimate winner.
The attempted coup began Friday night when factions of the military set up blockades of bridges in Istanbul and began a takeover of the Parliament building in Ankara as well as the government’s main news station.

The educational video about Islamic extremism presented in the three-minute video does much to explain the facts and little to offend
In implementing its new “hate speech” policy, YouTube has removed a video posted by an anti-extremist organization for “violation” of this very policy. The video in question, posted by CounterJihad.com, points to the Islamist ideology behind terrorism – specifically the implementation of sharia governance (Islamic law) and the goal of building a worldwide caliphate ruled by sharia.
See below for a complete transcript of the video. Watch the video here.

Two young men from North Carolina who attempted to join ISIS in 2014 have been sentenced to prison time.
Thu, July 7, 2016
Two men from Raleigh, North Carolina, have been sentenced to seven and nine years in prison, respectively, after pleading guilty to attempting to join terrorist groups in the Middle East.
Avin Brown and Akba Jordan, both 23, discussed plans to travel to Syria or Yemen to kill non-Muslims with an FBI informant. They were arrested in 2014 and have both pleaded guilty.
Brown was sentenced to seven years and Jordan was sentenced to nine years imprisonment.

Although the network apologized for the omission of Israel from the map, it failed to correct the omissions of 7 other African & Asian countries.
A CNN map detailing terror attacks around the world perpetrated during Ramadan has omitted Israel, Nigeria, Niger, Pakistan Somalia, Malaysia, Cameroon and Kenya.
During Ramadan there were also terrorist attacks as yet unattributed to specific groups in Madagascar, Bahrain, Mali and Indonesia, where evidence indicates possible Islamist motives.
Ramadan began on Monday June 6 and culminated on Wednesday July 6.
On Wednesday, June 8, four people were murdered when gunmen linked to the Islamic State opened fire at a restaurant in Tel Aviv. Hamas praised the attack saying, "This is the first surprise in store for the Zionist enemy during Ramadan."
CNN apologized for the omission of Israel and released an updated map that included the Jewish state. However, they did not update the map to include attacks on several African and Asian countries

The list consists of 1,700 names with instructions to Islamic State followers to 'kill them all.'
The Islamic State has released yet another “hit list,” this time targeting members of Christian churches and synagogues in the U.S.  The list consists of 1,700 names with instructions to Islamic State followers to “kill them all.”
The list, posted by United Cyber Caliphate -- the Islamic State’s (ISIS/ISIL) hacking division -- was first published on July 3, as noted by SITE, an intelligence analyst group. It was subsequently deleted but reappeared three days later with more than two dozen links uploaded to separate servers.
Although the FBI doesn’t necessarily notify those on kill lists, a report by a local station in Tennessee says that the bureau had been in touch with a number of residents of Nashville to inform them that they are on the list.
"When we find information like this, we're always doing our best to contact the public, let them know, even if we don't understand why necessarily that information was out there or compromised," said FBI assistant special agent-in charge Matthew Espenshade, as quoted in the International Business Times.

The extent to which Islamist extremists indulge in and spread their ideology in French prisons is astonishing.
Sociologist and author Farhad Khosrokhavar has estimated that Muslims make up between 50 and 80 percent of prison inmates in France. Given that Muslims account for between seven and eight perecent of the French population, this means that they are either more prone to crime than the indigenous French population, or that they are victims of discrimination by French law enforcement.
Given that many offenders are not behind bars but out on parole, wearing electronic bracelets, under house arrest or were not jailed on conviction but benefited from the leniency of the criminal courts, the real figure for the share of Islam in French crime is probably much higher than Khosrokhhavar’s estimate.
One of the disadvantages of this high proportion of Muslim inmates is that French prisons have become universities of jihad and incubators of terrorism.

A new report by a European Union group details how Christians and other minorities are subjected to horrific human rights abuses.
Christians and other religious minorities are being subjected to horrific human rights abuses globally, according to a recently released report on freedom of religion from a European Union (EU) group.
The EU Parliament Intergroup on Freedom of Religion or Belief and Religious Tolerance released their annual report last week, in which they highlighted restrictions to freedom of religion and religious persecution in 53 countries. Many of these countries have government-sanctioned persecution, while others have groups such as the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) operating within them and oppressing religious minorities.
“Our beliefs are at the core of our human dignity – tragically, however, today not everyone enjoys the freedom to hold and manifest their beliefs. We have witnessed the near extinction of Christians in Iraq and Syria,” said Peter van Dalen, a member of the European Parliament and one of the co-chairs of the group.
The report outlined some of the restrictions facing Christians, Yazidis, Sunni and Shiite Muslims and others in countries across the world, many in the Middle East and Africa. In Nigeria, for example, non-Muslims have been forcefully brought for judgement in sharia (Islamic) courts and punished by caning, amputation or death by stoning for “offencss” including blasphemy.
The report, which can be found in full online, notes that, in some ways, the situation has improved in Egypt recently under President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi’s rule. Nevertheless, minorities – especially Coptic Orthodox Christians -- still face sectarian abuse and discrimination. Christian girls are still being abducted by Muslims “and the government’s inability to respond over several years has made the situation worse.”
