A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Circumstance is a glove in which the ALMIGHTY ONE hides HIS hand.

WITNESS OF THE CONSCIENCE
"Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And YESHUA was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst." [John 8. 9]

The word "conscience" is used 32 times in the NEW COVENANT, and this is the first. The LORD MESSIAH YESHUA knew how to prick the conscience of those who were accusers of the woman caught in adultery, thereby preventing the enraged mob from stoning her. Through this means, the RIGHTEOUS JUDGE caused angry crowd to recognize their own unworthiness to judge another. And one always asks, so where was the man she was caught with?

The conscience can serve as a reliable guide. However, only if it is a good conscience. HOLY SCRIPTURES, in contrast, speak clearly of some who have a "weak conscience" [1 Corinthians 8. 7, 10, 12]; which may become a "defiled and unbelieving conscience" [Titus 1. 15]; and will eventually develop into a "seared conscience" [1 Timothy 4. 2]; that ultimately leads to an "evil conscience." [Hebrews 10. 22]

Used properly, however, the conscience is a blessing. The MASTER CREATOR has given us a conscience to help guide us. The question remains — What makes the conscience good? The HOLY SCRIPTURE refers to a "pure conscience" [1 Timothy 3. 9; 2 Timothy 1. 3], and to a "good conscience." [Acts 23. 1; 1 Timothy 1. 5, 19; Hebrews 13. 18; 1 Peter 3. 16, 21] However, none of these tell how to acquire a pure and good conscience.

GOD’S WRITTEN WORD reveals the answer. And one must diligently study to see what is clearly revealed. Reading the testimony of the Apostle Paul as he stood before Felix, the governor, he gave witness for the proper training of his conscience: "I worship the GOD of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the Law and in the Prophets...I have hope in GOD, I myself always strive (exercises himself) to have a conscience without offense toward GOD and men." [Acts 24. 14 - 16] Paul earnestly confessed that he "lived in all good conscience before GOD until this day...and without ceasing I remember you in my prayers night and day." [Acts 23. 1; 2 Timothy 1. 3]

Thus, a lifetime of studying the LIFE-GIVING SCRIPTURES, accompanied by complete and unwavering faith in the Truth and Authority of the HOLY WRITTEN WORD with continued prayers, will produce a strong, pure, good, and reliable conscience in us just as it did for Paul.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel !
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
As we allow MESSIAH to live in us, we will experience an on-going, creative conscience and find that chains are unable to restrain it, poverty stimulates it, and death only accelerates it. Just as GOD’S overriding work was evident in the BELOVED SON’S obedient death and the exaltation that followed – the same power is driving the practical work of regeneration in all who name the name above all names. And we are set free to confront, challenge, and influence the world around us for HIS glory, HIS purposes. We are set free from bars and chains that bind our hearts to a false reality contrived by the enemy of our souls.
We bless YOU, CREATOR of the UNIVERSE, our GREAT GOD and continually worshipped and praise YOU for YOU alone are awesome and praiseworthy. Thank YOU for giving us the LAW OF TRUTH and giving us everlasting life through YESHUA, the ROCK of our salvation. Amen!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
PRAYER: The best and most effective form of wireless communication.

RETRIBUTION ON ALL NATIONS
"Yea, against all nations the Day of the LORD is near. As you have done, it shall be done to you; your reprisal shall return upon your own head. That same cup that the Israelites drank on My Holy Mount, shall all the nations drink evermore at MY hand. Yes, they shall drink till their speech grows thick, and they shall become as though they had never been." [Obadiah (Obadyah) 15 - 16 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

Obadyah is a Hebrew name means "worshiper or servant of YEHOWAH." Of the prophetic books of the OLD COVENANT, Obadiah is one of the oldest and obviously the shortest, only 21 verses. Since there is no mention of a king, verses 10-14 provide the only historical reference. The history of Edom began with Esau who was given the name Edom (means red) referring back to the red stew he traded his birthright for. The focus of the book is GOD’S coming judgment on the Edomite nation particularly because of their abusive treatment of Jacob, their Israelite brothers; and for their wickedness in general.

This prophecy contains the first mention (in order) of the coming "Day of the LORD." The first focus is especially on the Edomites. Yet, like most prophesy, it is not only present but future judgment on all nations that applaud the destruction of Jerusalem and Israel itself. There have been many forewarnings and partial fulfillments of this prophecy as nation after nation has been brought down throughout history under GOD’S awesome judgmental hand. Edom , in particular, has long since vanished as a nation for they rejoiced when foreigners plundered Jerusalem , and then became as one of them. Judgment at the end times is when the sentence will be on all the heathens.

"For behold, in those days and at that time, when I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem , I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat . There I will enter into judgment with them on account of MY people, MY heritage Israel (Hebrew Tanakh reads: "morashah" — sacred inheritance), whom they have scattered among the nations. For dividing up My land among themselves and cast lots for MY people." [Joel/Yoel 3. 1 - 3]

"The LORD warned Israel and Judah by every prophet saying Turn back from your wicked ways, and observe MY commandments and MY laws... Nevertheless they would not obey, but stiffened their necks, like their fathers who did not believe in the LORD their GOD; they rejected HIS laws and HIS covenant that HE had made with their fathers, and the warnings HE had given them. They went after idols, became idolaters; they imitated the nations that were all around them, concerning whom the LORD had charged them that they should not do like them. They rejected all the commandments of the LORD their GOD." [2 Kings (Melakhim Bet) 17. 13 - 16Tanakh, Nevi’im]

However, there is a great day coming called, "the Day of the LORD" and/or "the Day of WRATH" when all the heathen (Goyim/Gentile nations) nations, including America, will be judged by the GREAT GOD OF JACOB WHO created them, WHO died to redeem them, and WHO has been sorely rejected by them. "Out of HIS mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it HE should strike the nations. And HE HIMSELF will rule them with a rod of iron. HE HIMSELF treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of ALMIGHTY GOD." [Revelation 19. 15]

The United States , up until now, has been spared because of its BIBLICAL foundations, its care for GOD’S chosen people — Israel , and its missionary efforts. Regrettably, these are disappearing at a disturbingly rapid rate and America’s time, like that of Edom, will surely come to an eternally fatal end. GOD destroyed Edom , it was totally ransacked, nothing thwarted HIS righteous judgment. "Then deliverers shall victoriously march up Mount Zion ...and the Kingdom shall be the LORD'S." [Obadiah (Obadyah) 21 Tanakh, Nevi’im] The judgment of the LORD GOD ultimately will prevail triumphantly and the Kingdom shall be HIS. HalleluYAH!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel !
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Light is the symbol of the DIVINE ONE, the LORD is my LIGHT and my SALVATION.
Light is the symbol of the DIVINE ONE working in man; the spirit of man is the light of the LORD.
Light is the symbol of the DIVINE Law, for the commandment is a Lamp and the Law is a Light.
Light is the symbol of Israel 's mission. I, the LORD, have set you for a covenant of the people, for a light to the nations.
Let us go forth with the LIGHT of GOD'S WORD to the nations as HE commanded.
The ultimate beauty of Israel lies in the triumph of its perpetuity.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. - Page 2 Empty Re: Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
If you have put your trust in money or gold, you have been unfaithful to GOD MOST HIGH.

WISDOM OF FEAR
"And unto man HE (GOD) said — Behold! The fear of ADONEY, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding." [Job (Iyob) 28. 28 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

To truly understand what it is to have reverential fear of the LORD GOD, would be to have a profound awe (anxious dread, terrified – a word reserved for the HOLY LORD GOD alone!), intense awareness of the MIGHTY ONE'S complete abhorrence of sin, as well as HIS omniscience and omnipresence, and living in light of the certainty of standing in front of this MOST HOLY ALL-KNOWING JUDGE at the Judgment Seat. It means unquestioning belief in GOD'S WRITTEN WORDS OF TRUTH and undeserved gift of salvation.

To fear the LORD also means "the beginning (best part) of knowledge…to hate evil...prolongs life…a stronghold (of confidence) and a refuge…a fountain of life, enabling one to avoid deadly snares and be rewarded with a satisfied life" thereby producing true "contentment and riches, honour and life everlasting." [Proverbs (Mishle) 1. 7a; 8. 13; 10. 27; 14. 26–27; 19. 23; 22. 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim] But, "fools despise wisdom, discipline and instruction." [Proverbs (Mishle) 1. 7b Tanakh, Kethuvim]

When the MASTER DESIGNER created man, HE told him that "of every tree of the Garden you are free to eat; but as for the Tree of Knowledge of Good & Evil, you must not eat of it; for as soon as you eat of it, you shall die." [Genesis (Bereshith) 2. 15 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Unfortunately, Adam and Eve sought wisdom in the Tree of Knowledge instead [Genesis/Bereshith 3], then hid themselves in fear because of that gained knowledge. No longer sinless, but naked and ashamed with a death sentence pronounced.

The Psalmist affirmed, "The beginning (first part) of wisdom is the fear of YEHOWAH; all who practice it gain sound understanding. Praise of HIM is everlasting." [Psalms (Tehillym) 111. 10 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Fear is the key to wisdom that leads to understanding. "The LORD will be the stability of your times, a wealth of salvation, wisdom and knowledge; reverence for the LORD is his treasure." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 33. 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "The SPIRIT OF THE LORD shall rest upon HIM (YESHUA, the ROD from the stem of Jesse), the SPIRIT of wisdom and understanding, the SPIRIT of counsel and might, the SPIRIT of knowledge and of the reverential fear for the LORD." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 11. 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"The fear of the LORD is pure, abiding forever; the judgments of the LORD are true, righteous altogether, more desirable than gold, than much fine gold; sweeter than honey, than dripping of the comb. Moreover by them YOUR servant is warned, in obeying them there is much reward." [Psalms (Tehillym) 19. 9 - 11 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Reverence for and obedience to the LORD GOD brings riches now in addition to life everlasting — O such glorious riches and unfathomed joy we have in the BELOVED SAVIOR!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel , O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
For all things, O GOD our KING, we bless and exalt YOU for ever and ever. YOU are the ROCK of our lives, the SHIELD of our salvation through every generation. YOU, LORD GOD are good, YOUR mercies fail not and YOUR loving kindnesses never cease. We give you thanks and glory and wisdom for this is befitting. Amen.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Glass articles are made by the process of blowing. If a human being can make something beautiful by this procedure, how much more so that which is made by the Breath of the HOLY ONE, blessed be HE and blessed be HIS HOLY NAME.

DEFENDING THE FAITH
"I am appointed for the defense of the GOSPEL." [Philippians 1. 17]

Many are the social CHRISTians today who abuse the use of WRITTEN EVIDENCES of GOD’S HOLY WORD in CHRISTian witnessing, feeling it is somehow dishonoring to YESHUA ha'MASHIACH or to the HOLY SCRIPTURES in trying to defend them; thus distorting the literal sense of the commands and teachings of the Lord JESUS. Remember, if the plain sense makes sense, seek no other sense, or you’ll come up with non-sense.

The Apostle Paul, however, did not refrain, by any means, the opportunity to expound the WRITTEN WORD. The GOSPEL does need defending, and Paul was set for its defense against the attacks of its adversaries. Also, he told his disciples that "in the defense and confirmation of the GOSPEL, you all are partakers with me of grace." [Philippians 1. 7]

Since we are "partakers" with Paul in this defense, we also need to be prepared and have our face set for its defense. We must "Always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear." [1 Peter 3. 15]

Any CHRIST-like-one who shares his faith with the unsaved has encountered many who cannot or will not believe the simple plan of salvation until his questions are answered. We must be familiar with the "many infallible proofs" [Acts 1. 3] of the deity of the LORD YESHUA, the ANOINTED ONE, and HIS power to save, both as OMNIPOTENT CREATOR and the HUMBLE SIN-BEARING SAVIOR.

We must "search the SCRIPTURES daily" and also study the "witness" HE has given in the creation [Acts 17. 11; 14. 17], along with believing the "many infallible proofs" left here. [Acts 1. 3] "The works of the LORD are great, studied by all who have pleasure in them and within reach of all who desire them." [Psalms (Tehillym) 111. 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "All SCRIPTURE is given by inspiration of GOD, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." [2 Timothy 3. 16]

"Be diligent to present yourself approved to GOD, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the WORD OF TRH." [2 Timothy 2. 15] Effectively done, fruit will be produced that will "remain" [John 15. 16] instead of a withered crop that "has no root." [Mark 4. 6] "Test all things; hold fast to what is good." [1 Thessalonians 5. 21]

May the ETERNAL ONE, blessed be HE, help us be among the victorious defenders of the GOSPEL, which is the only "GOOD NEWS" from which righteousness and praise springs forth.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
As we bid farewell to Shabbat. . . may our lips ever declare praises to our KING, HELPER, SAVIOR & SHIELD for HIS loving kindness is mighty over us. Have a good week — continue serving the BELOVED MASTER with a clean heart (lev tahor) and bless HIM at all times, for HE perseveres in blessing HIS people with sustaining power, mercy, grace and peace prospering you in HIS purpose.
Remember, we are praying for you, and we appreciate your prayers for us!!
Go with GOD and have a terrific week.
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness

Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. - Page 2 Empty Re: Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
One man traveling opposite the flow is more clearly noticed than all who travel together.

JOY & REJOICING
"When YOUR WORDS were offered, I devoured them; YOUR WORD brought me the delight and joy of knowing YOUR NAME is attached to mine, O LORD, GOD OF HOSTS." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 15. 16 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

These were the joyous words of Jeremiah, the weeping prophet. Even in his gloom and misery, he could rejoice and find great joy in the LORD GOD'S PRECIOUS WORD.

CHRIST-like-ones have a unique life which is the exceptional privilege of the redeemed...they have heavenly joy! There are many courses through which this joy can be experienced. Joy comes from knowing for certain that our sins are forgiven through believing that the blood of the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA covers them; and that by reading the HOLY WORD, we can know more about our LORD and SAVIOR. "I greatly rejoice in the LORD, my whole being exults with joy in my GOD. For HE has clothed me with garments of salvation and triumph, wrapped me in a robe of victory." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 61. 10 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Wonderful joy is found in the privilege of praying to the GREAT GOD OF HEAVEN and having our prayers answered — "Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full." [John 16. 24] And, incredibly tremendous joy comes when one sees the fruits of their service. "Those who sow in tears shall reap with songs of joy. Though he goes along weeping, carrying the seed-bag, he shall come back with songs of joy, carrying his sheaves." [Psalms (Tehillym) 126. 5 - 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim] We will enjoy the fruit of our labors and they are most sweet.

"Rejoice in the LORD always. Again I will say, Rejoice!" [Philippians 4. 4] After all, we know personally the EVER-LIVING CREATOR of all that is good. "Though now you do not see HIM, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory." [1 Peter 1. 8] "YOU will teach me the path of life. In YOUR PRESENCE (SHAMMAH) is PERFECT JOY; delights are ever in YOUR right hand." [Psalms (Tehillym) 16. 11 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"Behold, GOD is my SALVATION (YESHUA)! I am confident, unafraid; For YAH the LORD is my STRENGTH ('OWZ) and SONG (ZIMRATH), and HE has been my DELIVERANCE (YASHA)." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 12. 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Now to HIM WHO is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of HIS glory with exceeding joy. To GOD our SAVIOR (YESHUA), WHO alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen" [Jude 24 - 25] What a MIGHTY GOD we serve!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Welcoming Sabbath, bride of the week! Praised are YOU, O LORD our GOD, WHO loves us with great love and with exceeding compassion YOU hide us under YOUR protective wing. We humbly ask YOU, O MERCIFUL FATHER, to grant us discernment, that we may understand and fulfill all the TEACHINGS of YOUR WORD. Make us gladly obedient to YOUR commandments and fill our hearts with love and reverence for YOU. In YOU alone we put our trust; we rejoice and delight in YOU, O GOD of our salvation.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Man's way leads to a hopeless end — GOD'S WAY leads to an endless hope.

BROUGHT TOGETHER
"Faithfulness, mercy and truth meet; righteousness and peace kiss. Truth shall spring up from the earth, justice looks down from heaven." [Psalms (Tehillym) 85. 10 - 11 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

In Hebrew, nashaq could be translated as rule, kiss, touch, equip with weapons. When we allow MESSIAH YESHUA to be the RULER of our lives, we unite with HIM in every aspect of our being. HE is the GREAT & MIGHTY GOD WHO goes before us and enjoins our lives. "Righteousness goes before HIM, and HIS footsteps become our pathway." [Psalms (Tehillym) 85. 13 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"In HIS forbearance GOD had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time, HIS righteousness; that HE might be JUST and the JUSTIFIER of the one who has faith in CHRIST JESUS." [Romans 3. 25 - 26]

"But now in MESSIAH YESHUA you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of CHRIST. For HE HIMSELF is our peace, who has made both (Jew and Gentile) one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation." [Ephesians 2. 13 - 14] HIS death and resurrection are the evidences that we will have eternal life, and a confident pilgrimage on this earth.

"HE came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. For through HIM we both have access by one SPIRIT to the FATHER. Now therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of GOD." [Ephesians 2. 17 - 19]

The LORD YESHUA ha’MASHIACH declared, "I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE. No one comes to the FATHER except through ME." [John 14. 6] The WAY takes us to life eternal, JESUS is the only means provided. The TRUTH is the HOLY WRITTEN WORD — the VOICE OF AUTHORITY. INFINITE JUSTICE would demand the punishment of the sinner, yet INFINITE LOVE longed for man's redemption, so ALMIGHTY GOD, the TRUE & FAITHFUL ONE, placed the sins of all mankind upon HIM, WHO was sinless, MESSIAH YESHUA, that HE might be the PERFECT LIFE for us.

At the cross of YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, the LOVE & JUSTICE of OMNIPOTENT HOLY GOD met together. All hail KING JESUS!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel !
Redeem Israel , O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Continue to praise our LORD, the EVERLASTING KING, HELPER, SAVIOR and SHIELD for HIS loving-kindness is mighty over us. When things around you appear dark and terrifying, hold on to the promises of LORD GOD, HE is in complete control. The LORD OF HOSTS is wonderful in counsel and excellent in guidance for sound wisdom.
You, dearly beloved friend are our joy and crown. Thus, we encourage you to stand fast in the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA. Wishing you a joyous day filled with the love and peace of our INVINCIBLE HOLY GOD!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Jewish definitions: Pessimist — Things can't get any worse. Optimist — Yes! they can get worse, absolutely, they can get much worse.

CONTROLLER OF THE FUTURE
"Thus said King Cyrus of Persia: The LORD GOD OF HEAVEN has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and has charged me with building HIM a House in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Any one of you of all HIS people, the LORD his GOD be with him and let him go up." [2 Chronicles (Dibre Hayamin Bet) 36. 23 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Cyrus the great emperor of Persia had been called, even named by GOD, 150 years before he was born. "I am the same WHO says of Cyrus — He is MY shepherd, the king whom I have designated, he shall fulfill all MY purposes! — He (Cyrus) shall say of Jerusalem — She shall be rebuilt — and to the Temple — You shall be founded again." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 44. 28 Tanakh, Nevi'im] This was at least 175 years before he would fulfill Isaiah's prophecy by giving Ezra authority to rebuild the Temple . [Ezra 1. 1 - 2]

When Cyrus conquered Babylon , the prophet Daniel was there. [Daniel/Danyel 6. 28] The Jewish historian, Josephus, wrote that Daniel actually became Prime Minister under Cyrus and was able to read Isaiah's remarkable prophecy to him, thus influencing him to send the Jews back to Jerusalem .

The GREAT & AWESOME GOD OF ISRAEL is the ETERNAL LORD GOD OF HEAVEN and HE controls the future and can reveal it if HE chooses, using this very fact as proof that HE will keep HIS other promises. "Thus said the LORD to Cyrus, HIS anointed one — whose right hand I have grasped, treading down nations before him, un-girding the loins of kings, I made them helpless, opening doors before him and letting no gate stay shut...For the sake of MY servant Jacob, Israel MY chosen one, I call you (Cyrus) by name, I hail you by title, though you have not known ME." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 45. 1, 4 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

King Josiah was also named before he was born with the specific prophecy concerning him waiting to be fulfilled for over 300 years after it was first spoken. "O altar, altar! thus said the LORD: A son shall be born to the House of David, Josiah by name; and he shall slaughter upon you the priests of the shrines who bring offerings upon you. And human bones shall be burned upon you." [1 Kings (Melakhim Alef) 13. 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im; see 2 Kings/Melakhim Bet 23. 15 - 16 for the fulfillment of this prophesy.]

Even before MESSIAH came, other Gentile rulers acknowledged CREATOR GOD. Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, once hating GOD, ultimately confessed that HE was "the MOST HIGH" and "KING of Heaven." [Daniel/Danyel 4. 34, 37] Another was the king of Nineveh and Assyria, who believed in GOD at the preaching of Jonah. And, in the ages to come " Rev 21:24 the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor" [Revelation 21. 24] to the LORD in the Holy City.

We are encouraged to "Remember the former things of old; for I am GOD, and there is no other; I am GOD, and there is none like ME, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that had not occurred. I say — MY plan shall be fulfilled; I will do all I have purposed." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 46. 9 - 10 Tanakh, Nevi'im] For certain and beyond doubt, the LOVING LORD OMNIPOTENT GOD will do all that HE has said.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
"If I forget you, O Jerusalem, let my right hand wither! If I do not remember you, let my tongue stick to the roof of my mouth — if I do not exalt Jerusalem and keep Jerusalem in memory even at my most joyous hours." Psalms/Tehillym 137:5-6

Post  Admin on Wed 15 Feb 2017, 4:22 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
We cannot put our sins behind us until we are ready to face them.

ALTOGETHER LOVELY
"His mouth is most delicious and sweet, all of him is delightful. He is altogether lovely. Such is my beloved. Of this kind is my darling, my friend, O maidens of Jerusalem ." [Song of Songs (Shir ha'Shirim) 5. 16 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The Song of Songs is essentially a beautiful poetic story of marital love. In part, it is a allegory picturing the love between the LORD YESHUA and HIS church, "which HE purchased with HIS own blood." [Acts 20. 28] All the beauties of MESSIAH YESHUA are seen in this "Love Song."

Only of YESHUA THE NAZARENE can it truly be said that "HE is altogether lovely." Of all human lips and tongues, "HIS mouth is most sweet" for "no man ever spoke like this MAN." [John 7. 46] Even those who rejected HIS love "marveled at the gracious words which proceeded out of HIS mouth." [Luke 4. 22] In one of the great MESSIANIC PSALMS, the psalmist foretold, "grace is poured from YOUR lips" showing that HE would be "fairer than all men." [Psalms (Tehillym) 45. 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"The fairest of women" [Song of Songs/Shir ha'Shirim 5. 9] gives her declaration concerning her beloved, stating that he is "brilliant white and stained ruddy, preeminent among ten thousand." [Song of Songs/Shir ha'Shirim 5. 10] This must apply in the fullest sense only to the very GOD OF CREATION dwelling in irresistible light and yet becoming a SACRIFICIAL LAMB to redeem HIS beloved. HE is both OMNIPOTENT GOD and DYING SAVIOR, nonetheless HE is also our PERFECT, LOVELY FRIEND. "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends." [John 15. 13] Yet the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL laid HIS life down for us while we were HIS enemies. "When we were enemies we were reconciled to GOD through the death of HIS SON, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by HIS life." [Romans 5. 10]

No wonder after such a testimony, the maidens of Jerusalem exclaimed in joy, "Where has your beloved gone…that we may seek him with you?" [Song of Songs (Shir ha'Shirim) 6. 1 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Our BELOVED has gone "to prepare a place" for us and has promised to come again and receive us to HIMSELF, so that where HE is, we may be also. Amen!! [John 14. 2 - 3] Even so, come LORD JESUS my ADORED ONE — that our joy and hope will be fulfilled when we behold YOU, the ONE WHO is ALTOGETHER LOVELY.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel !
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
We praise YOU, MOST HOLY LORD God and ask that YOUR PRESENCE be manifest to us in all YOUR works, so that reverence for YOU may fill the hearts of YOUR creatures. May all the children of men bow before YOU in humility and unite to do YOUR will with one heart, that all may acknowledge that YOURS alone is the power, dominion and majesty; and that YOUR NAME is exalted above all.
Hold fast to the ENDURING ONE and continue to hold each other up in your prayers, these are going to be hard days ahead, but our RIGHTEOUS ALMIGHTY GOD is in control.
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
One must both be humble enough to learn from every person and to teach everyone, regardless of status. "All are blind until GOD opens their eyes." [MIDRASH, Bereishis Rabba 53]

SCRIPTURE & MEMORY
"The HELPER, the HOLY SPIRIT, whom the FATHER will send in MY NAME, HE will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you." [John 14. 26]

The Apostle John wrote his detailed discourses of MESSIAH YESHUA about fifty years after the LORD spoke them and almost half of the verses in John’s Gospel is quoting the MASTER. In spite of the time delay, John was able to report them verbatim because of the supernatural memory of them brought back by the HOLY SPIRIT. The same must have been true for the other writers of the INSPIRED WORD OF GOD as they recalled words and events of things that happened years before.

In the same sense, the HOLY SPIRIT also can "bring to our remembrance" the words of SCRIPTURE just when they are especially needed in witnessing or for personal guidance or some other need. This will only be operational, of course, if they have first been stored in our memory, either by direct memorization or by such frequent reading and studying of the WRITTEN WORD as to make it a part of our subconscious memory.

Most confidently, the HOLY SPIRIT is the DIVINE TEACHER. "The anointing which you have received from HIM abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things…and just as it has taught you, you will abide in HIM." [1 John 2. 27] "These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the HOLY SPIRIT teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual." [1 Corinthians 2. 13]

Peter, the unlearned fisherman, was able to quote long passages of HOLY WRIT when he needed them quoting the Prophet Joel in Acts 2:16-21; then King David in Acts 16:25-28, 34–35. Peter evidently had spent much time in studying and even memorizing key portions of the OLD COVENANT. Of course, MESSIAH YESHUA frequently quoted SCRIPTURE in HIS conversations and Paul also quoted SCRIPTURE freely in his epistles. Certainly, we should be doing the same.

SCRIPTURE memorizations has been a great blessing to many CHRISTians over the years, but it seems to have become a lost art these days in this age of modernization, electrical gadgets and quick down-loads. Nevertheless, YESHUA has promised to answer our prayer — "If you abide in ME, and MY words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you." [John 15. 7] So, as Paul urged, "Let the WORD OF CHRIST dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the LORD. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the LORD JESUS, giving thanks to GOD THE FATHER through HIM." [Colossians 3. 16 - 17]

"Be diligent to present yourself approved to GOD, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the WORD OF TRUTH." [2 Timothy 2. 15] Allow the COMFORTER to instruct you that you may have the mind of CHRIST.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel !
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
We are ever grateful to YOU, GREAT & MIGHTY GOD for by YOUR grace we were taught to live in complete confidence that as we take courage and live boldly in YOUR TRUTH, that in the end, good will, prevail over all evil both in this world and in our life.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Ignorance is a bliss. . . until stupidity sets in.

TEACH ME YOUR WAY
"Let me know YOUR paths, O LORD; teach me YOUR ways. The secret of the LORD is for those who fear HIM; to them HE makes known HIS covenant." [Psalms (Tehillym) 25. 4, 14 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"Indeed, the LORD GOD does nothing unless HE reveals HIS secret to HIS servants the prophets." [Amos (Amus) 3. 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Without a doubt, the HOLY ONE loves us and has shown it by giving HIS OWN SON, MESSIAH YESHUA, to pay our penalty, a price we could never satisfy. "Times for judgment are not hidden from the ALMIGHTY." [Job (Iyob) 24. 1 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"The concealed acts belong to the LORD our GOD, but those things which are revealed is for us and our children ever to apply, that we may do all the words of this TEACHING." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 29. 29 Tanakh, Torah] "HIS secret counsel is with the upright." [Proverbs (Mishle) 3. 32 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "HE reveals deep and secret things; HE knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with HIM." [Daniel (Danyel) 2. 22 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The STRENGTH OF ISRAEL spoke in parables to fulfill that which was spoken of the prophets, "I will open MY mouth in parables; I will utter things kept secret from the foundation of the world." [Matthew 13. 35]

"It is the glory of GOD to conceal a matter, and the credit of kings to search out a matter." [Proverbs (Mishle) 25. 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim] The WORD OF GOD was given as a "mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to HIS saints. To them GOD willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles — which is CHRIST in you, the Hope of Glory." [Colossians 1. 26 - 27] The things which the ALMIGHTY ONE has prepared for those who love HIM has been "revealed to us through HIS SPIRIT. For the SPIRIT searches all things, yes, the deep things of GOD." [1 Corinthians 2. 9 - 10] And, it is the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD WHO teaches us the things of our FAITHFUL & TRUE CREATOR.

The CHOSEN SERVANT, the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA, with great authority has commissioned us to "Go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them — and teaching them to observe (obey) all things that I have commanded you." [Matthew 28. 19 - 20]

Those who belong to the ALMIGHTY LORD GOD OF HEAVEN can thank and praise HIM for HE has given us wisdom, knowledge, discernment and the ability to understand and personally know HIM in SPIRIT and in TRUTH intimately. How can one help but love, adore and obey HIM!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel !
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Gemach is an acronym for the Hebrew words gemilut chasadim — "acts of kindness" . . .be sure to do your share of "Gemach" every day. [The traditional Gemach was a free loan society.] To strengthen your spiritual roots (faith, devotion, love, communion and time with GOD in prayer), make your goal in life to grow deeper in the hidden, secret places so your life will bear much honorable fruit. Grant us clearness of vision, O LORD GOD, to see life as a whole — from youth to old age, and be comforted in confident-faith that with YOU, the best is yet to be.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
For best results — put your tiny faith in a magnificent GOD.

ALL THINGS WELL
"And they (the disciples) were astonished beyond measure, saying, "HE has done all things well." [Mark 7. 37]

Definitely YESHUA "has done all things well." This fact is evidence of HIS deity. No matter how carefully we study HIS deeds, we can find no flaw in any of HIS works or actions — absolutely no defects, nothing HE should have done differently, or left undone. The MESSIAH never had to apologize or express regrets, like we often need to do. HE was always master of every situation. Peter said that "YESHUA of Nazareth with the HOLY SPIRIT and with power, WHO went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for GOD was with HIM." [Acts 10. 38]

This truth applies even more emphatically to HIS WORDS. The ROCK OF AGES never had to speculate, guess at or evade any situation: "And they (those in the synagogue) were astonished at HIS teaching, for HE taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes." [Mark 1. 22] Obviously, the LORD JESUS never had to guess about anything or merely express an opinion, like the rest of us surrender to doing at times. Everything HE taught was with absolute authority, for HE was and is the WORD OF GOD made flesh. "In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with GOD, and the WORD was GOD...And the WORD became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld HIS glory, the glory as of the ONLY–BEGOTTEN of the FATHER, full of grace and truth." [John 1. 1, 14]
When dealing with hypocrisy and false teachings, HIS words were harsh and quite judgmental, and they needed to be; but more often HIS words were kind and forgiving. Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews, said of MESSIAH: "RABBI, we know that YOU are a TEACHER come from GOD; for no one can do these signs that YOU do unless GOD is with him." [John 3. 2] Likewise "all bore witness to HIM, and marveled at the gracious words which proceeded out of HIS mouth." [Luke 4. 22] Furthermore, the soldiers sent to arrest YESHUA returned empty-handed, for as they too stated, "No man ever spoke like this MAN!" [John 7. 46]

YESHUA ha’MASHIACH’S words "with power and authority." [Luke 4. 32] HE was "YESHUA of Nazareth, WHO was a PROPHET mighty in deed and word before GOD and all the people." [Luke 24. 19] HE was more than a man; HE was the PERFECT MAN, the SON OF MAN, the ONLY–BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD! Because HE lives, we are confident that all is well with our soul as we believe HIS promises to us.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Bidding farewell to Sabbath — Infinite as YOUR power, even so is YOUR love, O LORD OF HOSTS. YOU led us into the way of righteousness and brought us to the light of truth. Therefore, at our lying down and our rising up, we meditate on YOUR Teachings and at all times rejoice in YOUR Laws. In them are true life and length of days. May we all recognize that YOU are the ALL-POWERFUL, SOVEREIGN RULER and we must submit all to YOU. Help us O LORD to get right with you, and show it by our lives. O that YOUR love may never depart from our hearts. Praised are YOU, O LORD, WHO has made us YOUR people.
Make this another special week as you purposefully use your days to accomplish Heavenly purposes of GOD. Do not let our days determine your life, let your life determine your days.

Post  Admin on Sat 11 Feb 2017, 3:47 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Starting at sundown, Tu B'Shevat [Tu (15) B' (of) Shevat (Jewish month)] begins. — the Jewish "Holiday of the Trees" established for calculating the age of the tree for the purpose of tithing fruit. [Leviticus/Vayikra 19. 23-25 states that fruit from trees may not be eaten during the first three years; the fourth year's fruit is for GOD and the fruit can be eaten after that.]
It is a time to recall our responsibility toward the environment — our sacred obligation to future generations to safeguard and protect the gifts of the MOST HIGH GOD'S creation. It is traditional to eat fruit native to the Land of Israel on Tu B'Shevat. It is a time to celebrate new life and new beginnings — cultural and physical. The almond tree (shkediyah), with lush white flowers, is the first to bloom each spring and this popular holiday heralding the coming of new year for trees. Some people plant trees on this day, and many Jewish children collect money for planting trees for Israel at this time of year. The MIDRASH claims, “Trees were created for man’s companionship.” (HOLY SCRIPTURES says GOD created woman for that purpose, and this writer completely agrees.)

Tu B'Shevat is a festival that recalls the praise to the MOST HOLY LORD GOD for the Land of Israel, for on this day the strength of the soil of the land is renewed. With reference to the fruits of the trees and the produce of the soil, the TORAH praises the Land of Israel: "For the LORD your GOD is bringing you into a good land, a land of streams and springs and fountains issuing from plain and hill; a land of wheat and barley, of vines, figs, and pomegranates, a land of olive trees and honey; a land where you may eat food without scarcity, where you will lack nothing; a land whose rocks are iron and from whose hills you can mine copper. When you have eaten your fill, give thanks to the LORD your GOD for the good land which HE has given you. Take care lest you forget the LORD your GOD and fail to keep HIS Commandments, HIS Rules, and HIS Laws, which I enjoin upon you today." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 8. 7-11 Tanakh, Torah]
The TORAH has compared man to a tree of the field — therefore this day also recalls the DIVINE judgment upon man.

TREE OF LIFE
"Everyone who is CALLED (the root) by MY NAME, whom I have CREATED (trunk) for MY glory; I have FORMED (branch) him, yes, I have made him." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 43. 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "For thus said the LORD, the CREATOR OF HEAVEN WHO alone is GOD, WHO formed (branch) the earth and MADE (fruit) it, WHO alone established (reproduced) it — HE did not create it a waste, but formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD, and there is none else." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 45. 18 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

In the beginning ELOHIYM created and placed within the Garden of Eden a "Tree of Life." This Tree was literal with roots, trunk, branches, leaves and fruit. And, it was made available for mans enjoyment of its essence, but only while he remained innocent. It indicated that ELOHIYM originally intended for man to live forever in perfect fellowship with our loving EL SHADDAI. When sin entered the world, however, the Tree of Life ('etz hayyim) was withheld from mankind as ELOHIYM did not desire for man to live in this fallen condition eternally. Yet, the original intention of the Tree of Life was still desired by YEHOWAH and HE offers us eternal life that is provided in HIS "Plan of Salvation" secured by YESHUA ha'MASHIACH. This gift is free and made available to us in HIS COVENANT as recorded in the Law, Prophets, Psalms and Gospel messages.

In the same sense mankind was given the mission of passing on to others the "Plan of Salvation," man entered in to the purpose of the Tree of Life; and that harmony is seen in the works of the ministry:

The ROOT takes hold when we are called (Hebrew: qura'): "For you are a holy people to the LORD your GOD; of all the peoples on earth the LORD your GOD chose you to be HIS treasured people." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 7. 6 Tanakh, Torah] "You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, HIS OWN special people, that you may proclaim the praises of HIM WHO called you out of darkness into HIS marvelous light." [1 Peter 2. 9]

The TRUNK establishes the firm foundation and HE WHO created (Hebrew: bara') determined our purpose: "GOD created man in HIS IMAGE, in the IMAGE OF GOD HE created him; male and female HE created them." [Genesis (Bereshith) 1. 27 Tanakh, Torah] "For we are HIS workmanship, created in CHRIST JESUS for good works, which GOD prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." [Ephesians 2. 10]

As the BRANCHES form and grow, we are conformed (Hebrew: yatsar) to HIS likeness: "MY people, MY chosen, this people I have formed for MYSELF; that they might declare MY praise." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 43. 21 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "Whom HE foreknew, HE also predestined to be conformed to the image of HIS SON." [Romans 8. 29] "The LORD MESSIAH YESHUA will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to HIS glorious body, according to the working by which HE is able even to subdue all things to HIMSELF." [Philippians 3. 21]

The FRUITS in our life are to show forth the goodness of CREATOR GOD for HE made (Hebrew: 'asah) us for HIS glory — "I will look with favor upon you, and make you fruitful and multiply you; and I will confirm and maintain MY covenant with you." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 26. 9 Tanakh, Torah] "And I MYSELF will gather the remnant of MY flock from all the lands...and they shall be fruitful and increase." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 23. 3 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"GOD, WHO is rich in mercy, because of HIS great love with which HE loved us...made us alive together with CHRIST (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in CHRIST JESUS, that in the ages to come HE might show the exceeding riches of HIS grace in HIS kindness toward us in CHRIST JESUS." [Ephesians 2. 4 - 7] "Therefore by HIM let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to GOD, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to HIS NAME." [Hebrews 13. 15]

In response to our DEVOTED LORD GOD'S great love, we should willingly "reproduce" just as the MASTER DESIGNER formed and created and commissioned us to do — "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the NAME OF THE FATHER and of the SON and of the HOLY SPIRIT — teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen" [Matthew 28. 19 - 20]

The TREE OF LIFE will again be made available, "to him who overcomes I will give to eat from the Tree of Life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of GOD." [Revelation 2. 7] And John describes for us what he saw in the Holy City. . . the New Jerusalem which is on the New Earth — "And he showed me a pure river of Water of Life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the Throne of GOD and of the LAMB. In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the Tree of Life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations." [Revelation 22. 1 - 2] The ALPHA and the OMEGA promises, "I will give of the fountain of the Water of Life freely to him who thirsts." [Revelation 21. 6] Yes, "There is a river whose streams gladden the City of GOD, the Holy Dwelling-place of the MOST HIGH." [Psalms (Tehillym) 46. 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Remember as you sow the seed of faith — "the fruit of the righteous is a Tree of Life, and a wise man is the one who wins souls." [Proverbs (Mishle) 11. 30 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Be found faithful in doing your assigned task, it will be worth it all when we see YESHUA, our long-awaited MESSIAH!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Welcoming Sabbath. May you have a heart to know YEHOWAH, that HE is the LORD of your life; oh, return to HIM with your whole heart. May each of you be delivered from trouble and harm, or strengthened through it. Heal us O LORD, make us righteous in YOUR sight.
Though still in the middle of the bleak embrace of winter, the gentle murmur of the awakening spring begins its hidden work. In the core and the arterial network of the trees, silently and softly, hidden from the casual view, the new sap flows announcing the coming of spring.
At the time of the final redemption, not only will people experience the ultimate blessings and prosperity, but the actual soil of the Land will enjoy these benefits. The prophet Amos says the Land of Israel will be so prosperous and the crops will grow so bountifully, that the seasons will overlap. There will be excessive produce, and the mountains will literally drip with the juice of its fruit. The holy land will be showered with supreme blessing! The holiday of Tu B'Shevat celebrates the earth and produce of the blessed Holy Land.

Have a Happy Tu b’Shevat! For now the winter is past, the rains are over and gone. The blossoms appear in the land; the time of singing has come, the song of the turtledove is heard in our land. The green figs form on the fig tree, the vines in blossom give off fragrance. Arise, my love, my darling, my fair one, come away! [Song of Songs (Shir ha’Shirim) 2. 11-13 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Gentle words work better then hard ones. Pride is concerned with "who" is right, humility is concerned with "what" is right.

DETERMINED
"I have chosen the way of faithfulness and truth; I have set YOUR judgments before me." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 30 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

As we who are called by the MASTER’S NAME, "CHRIST-like-ones" — we should examine our weaknesses and failures (sins) daily and determine to do better daily with the help of the LORD GOD, the MIGHTY ENABLER. It is helpful to remember some of the affirmative declarations made by the stylist of Psalm 119 — an acrostic praise of the SCRIPTURES — and determine to make these our desires as well.

We are compelled to deliberately choose the WAY OF TRUTH, by being careful and honest in all our words and relationships. "Turn my heart to YOUR decrees and not to love of gain." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 36 Tanakh, Kethuvim], and we should make this our prayer; since covetousness is sin which easily overwhelms and plagues us.

We must never be ashamed of the TRUE & LIVING GOD nor of HIS SACRED WORD, then we can, like the psalmist say: "I will speak of YOUR testimonies, and not be ashamed in the presence of kings" for "YOU are just when YOU speak and blameless in YOUR judgment." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 46; 52. 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Furthermore, we need to have fellowship with all true believers who earnestly seek to keep HIS LIFE-GIVING WORD. "I am a companion to all who fear YOU, to those who keep YOUR precepts." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 63 Tanakh, Kethuvim] When the RIGHTEOUS ONE is chastising, testing and purifying us we should not complain. "I know, O LORD, that YOUR rulings are just; rightly have YOU humbled me." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 75 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

No matter what happens, we should resolve to trust GOD ALMIGHTY, just as Job did — "Though HE slay me, yet will I trust in HIM." [Job (Iyob) 13. 15 Tanakh, Kethuvim] We can even echo the sweet term of the psalmist, "YOU are my HIDING PLACE , my PROTECTION and my SHIELD; I hope in YOUR WORD." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 114 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

We can believe implicitly in the WRITTEN WORD of the ALL-WISE AUTHOR OF CREATION, for we are convinced that "GOD be true but every man a liar" [Romans 3. 4], and we are justified in HIS WORD as overcomers. "Truly by all Your precepts I walk straight; I hate every false way." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 128 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

We can fully trust the LORD GOD and knowingly choose to believe HIS Holy Word for they are life. "This is my comfort in my affliction, that YOUR WORD has preserved me." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 50 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears MY WORD and believes in HIM WHO sent ME has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life." [John 5. 24] "Let YOUR hand help me, for I have chosen YOUR precepts." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 173 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Like Paul, may we say: "I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of GOD which is in CHRIST JESUS our LORD." [Romans 8. 38 - 39] Our AMAZING REDEEMER is faithful and I am determined to follow HIM. Live holy that your name will be inscribed in the LAMB'S BOOK OF LIFE!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel !
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
While politics have no place in a house of God, the Almighty One belongs front and center in the lives of those who rule. Religion dares not be insensitive to the reality of the role of governmental leadership. A Mishnah in Ethics of the Fathers [3:2] teaches the words of Rabbi Hanina, identified as the assistant to the high priests of his time: "Pray for the well-being of the government, for were it not for the fear of its authority a man would swallow his neighbor alive."
"Seek the welfare of our government and to pray for it." [Jeremiah 29:7] We do not pray only on behalf of the very best leader. We pray because we value leadership, and we pray for GOD’S assistance to inspire those we have chosen to fulfill heavenly ideals. We pray not because we are certain we have found the perfect government but because we know it is only GOD WHO can help to perfect it.
May you be a witnesses of the MOST HOLY ONE'S care, love, and indwelling presence. Our prayer is that you are faithfully dedicated to THE ONE WHO is the LIGHT of the world.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
"If I am not for me, who is for me; and if I am [only] for myself, what am I. And if not now, when?" [Hillel, Ethics of the Fathers, 1:14]
This is an inspirational and motivating message. We are created for a specific purpose – there is no other one like you. Consider that you are here for others , how can you make a difference in this world to at least one other person. There is no time like the present.

TIDINGS OF PEACE
"How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaims peace, who brings glad tidings of good things, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, "Your GOD reigns!" [Isaiah/Yeshayah 52. 7]

The OLD COVENANT Book of Isaiah contains the word "peace" more often than any other book of HOLY SCRIPTURE. There are 15 occurrences before and 15 after this central text which speaks of those who travel by foot with the beautiful Gospel (good tidings - news) of peace. The verse proclaims that this Gospel is publishing salvation; announcing the imminent reign of GOD THE SAVIOR over all the earth.

The first mention of "peace" in Isaiah speaks of the coming KING and HIS reign, and so does the final occurrence. "For unto us a CHILD has been born to us, a SON has been given us; and the government will be seated on HIS shoulder. HE has been named WONDERFUL, COUNSELOR, MIGHTY GOD, EVERLASTING FATHER, PRINCE OF PEACE." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 9. 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im] In Isaiah’s last chapter we read — "For thus says the LORD: "Behold, I will extend to her [Zion] peace like a river, the glory [wealth] of the Gentiles like a flowing stream." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 66. 12 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The NEW COVENANT correlates this wonderful Gospel of peace and is specifically mentioned just twice. The first is a direct quotation from the opening text "And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!" [Romans 10. 15]

The second is in connection with the spiritual armor of followers of the LORD MESSIAH. The "beautiful feet" that are to carry the Good Tidings are, most fittingly, to be "shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace." [Ephesians 4. 15]

The darkest moments, the deepest pain, and the most sorrowful episodes would be shared with respect, in a gentle way. And because of the power of MESSIAH in me, the ultimate triumph would be told with holy boldness in my soul. How about you? Are you prepared to share the reason for your hope? Are you willing to speak of CHRIST’S triumph in your life...of HIS goodness during the storm?

It is our high privilege to be among those whose feet travel upon the mountains, across the plains, and over the seas with the beautiful Gospel of peace and salvation. May each of us make good use of every opportunity to proclaim the wondrous riches of the peace of GOD that only comes from knowing YESHUA, the PRINCE OF PEACE.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel !
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Grant us peace, YOUR most precious gift, O ETERNAL SOURCE OF PEACE. Flood blessings on YOUR people that we may be a stronghold of peace and proclaim YOUR salvation. May contentment reign with each heart, health and happiness in the homes of those YOU redeemed. Strengthen the bonds of friendship and fellowship and plant virtue in every soul, and may the love of YOUR HOLY NAME permeate every heart. Praised are YOU, O LORD, AUTHOR of peace.

Post  Admin on Wed 08 Feb 2017, 9:11 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
In Judaism, to be without question is not a sign of faith but a lack of depth.

WHO IS HE
Agur ben-Yakeh, the writer of the Proverb, surveyed — "WHO has ascended heaven to and come down? WHO has gathered up the wind in the hollow of HIS hand? WHO has wrapped the waters in HIS garment? WHO has established all the extremities of the earth? What is HIS NAME or HIS SON'S NAME, if you know it?" [Proverbs (Mishle) 30. 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The LORD YESHUA, the WORD OF GOD that took on flesh and became a MAN, is the ONE being spoken of in this text. JESUS is the SON OF THE LIVING GOD. "A CHILD is born to us, a SON is given to us. And authority (government) has settled on HIS shoulders. HE has been named — WONDERFUL (SECRET), COUNSELOR (PLANNER OF GRACE), the MIGHTY GOD, ETERNAL FATHER, RULER OF PEACE." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 9. 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

It was through YESHUA ha’MASHIACH that ALMIGHTY GOD'S purpose might prosper. Out of HIS anguish the "RIGHTEOUS SERVANT makes the many righteous, it is their punishment that HE bears; assuredly, I will give HIM the many as HIS portion, HE shall receive the multitude as HIS spoil. For HE poured out HIMSELF to death and was numbered among the sinners, whereas HE bore the guilt of the many and made intercession for sinners." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 53. 11 - 12 Tanakh, Nevi'im] In love, the LORD YESHUA ha’MASHIACH "gave HIMSELF for us, that HE might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for HIMSELF HIS OWN special people, zealous for good works." [Titus 2. 14]

"We know that the SON OF GOD has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know HIM WHO is true; and we are in HIM WHO is true, in HIS SON JESUS CHRIST. This is the TRUE GOD and ETERNAL LIFE." [1 John 5. 20] "You are MY witnesses — declares the LORD — MY servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe in ME, and understand that I am HE. Before ME no god was formed, and after ME none shall exist — none but ME. I, even I, am the LORD, and besides ME there is no YESHA` (SAVIOR)." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 43. 10 - 11 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Our LOVING CREATOR alone is a GREAT OMNIPOTENT GOD WHO proclaims beforehand what HE will do. There is no other GOD besides HIM WHO became as we are that HE might deliver us from sin's grip. The HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL exclusively saved us for HS glory, redeem us back to the HEAVENLY FATHER, and purified us from all unrighteousness. Then, HE made us HIS OWN special people. Now we are HIS witnesses, proclaiming and broadcasting publicly that HE is LORD of lords, GOD of gods, the KING of all ages. "Indeed before the day was, I am HE; none can deliver from MY hand. When I act, who will reverse it?" [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 43. 13 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"The LORD of Hosts has sworn this oath — As I have designed (thought), so shall it happen; what I have planned, that shall stand (come to pass)...For the LORD OF HOSTS has planned, and who can annul or foil it? HIS hand is stretched out (poised, prepared), and who can stop it (turn it back)?" [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 14. 24, 27 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Isn't HE wonderful!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel !
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
We gratefully acknowledge and adore YOU, O INVINCIBLE LORD, our GREAT GOD, that YOU are our CREATOR and PRESERVER, the ROCK of our life and the SHIELD of our help. We give thanks to YOU for our lives which are in YOUR hands, for our souls which are ever in YOUR keeping, for YOUR wondrous providence and for YOUR continuous goodness, which YOU bestow on us day by day. Truly, YOUR mercies never fail and YOUR lovingkindness never ceases. Therefore we forever put our trust in YOU.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Knowledge is what you remember when you forgot everything you learned.

SECRET OF THE LORD
"Let me know YOUR paths, O LORD; teach me YOUR ways. The secret of the LORD is for those who fear HIM; to them HE makes known HIS covenant." [Psalms (Tehillym) 25. 4, 14 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The Hebrew word for secret is cowd, which in this verse is like an amazing promise for the “inner counsel†directly from the TRIUNE GOD HIMSELF. But, how can those who fear the LORD really know the secret counsels of the GODHEAD? The answer can only be by divine revelation to GOD’S prophets. As Amos records — "Surely, the LORD GOD does nothing unless HE reveals HIS secret to HIS servants the prophets." [Amos (Amus) 3. 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The Talmud teaches, “Seek not out the things that are to hard for you and into the things that are hidden from you inquire not. In what is permitted to you instruct yourself; you have no business with secret things.†However, when these ancient promises were given they were "settled in Heaven" [Psalms/Tehillym 119. 89], though still not revealed to men. "The secret things belong to the LORD our GOD, but those things which are revealed are for us and our children forever, that we may do all the words of this TEACHING." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 29. 29 Tanakh, Torah] Then, when the PROMISED REDEEMER came, HE promised HIS disciples, "the HELPER, the HOLY SPIRIT, WHOM the FATHER will send in MY NAME, HE will teach you all things." [John 14. 26]

The NEW COVENANT discloses even more of GOD’S view, "We speak the wisdom of GOD in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which GOD ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the LORD OF GLORY. But as it is written — Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which GOD has prepared for those who love HIM. — BUT GOD HAS REVEALED THEM TO US THROUGH HIS SPIRIT. For the SPIRIT searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of GOD except the SPIRIT OF GOD. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the SPIRIT WHO is from GOD, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by GOD." [1 Corinthians 2. 7 - 12]

"GOD, WHO at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by HIS SON, WHOM HE has appointed heir of all things." [Hebrews 1. 1 - 2] Along with the twelve disciples, the Apostle Paul was called by the LORD GOD and through these men, YESHUA would convey to those who fear HIM all the rest of HIS revelation. "By revelation HE made known to me the mystery (as I have briefly written already, by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of CHRIST), which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the SPIRIT." [Ephesians 3. 3 - 5]

Finally, "the secret of the LORD" was completed in written-form by John, the last living apostle, with nothing else to be added or deleted [Revelation 22. 18 - 19], that "the mystery of GOD would be finished, as MESSIAH YESHUA declared to HIS servants the prophets." [Revelation 10. 7] All we shall ever need to know of GOD’S Eternal Counsels is now available to all who desire to know, written for our sake, for our hope, and our edification in the HOLY SCRIPTURES.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel !
Redeem Israel , O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
This imperfect world can never answer the longings of your heart nor the purpose for which you came into existence. Every tear, every sorrow, every disappointment, every unfulfilled longing is just a reminder that you are not HOME yet. This life is only the beginning of real life and the matrix of the world to come.

Remember, that GOD is always there for us, and can help us overcome anything, just as HE always has for HIS own. If we allow HIM to fight our battles — whatever those battles may be — HIS WORD will indeed break our enemy’s sword. That powerful reminder of GOD’S love for us is such a blessed time to remember just how much GOD so loved the world and gave HIS ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON; a special time to say thanks to the LOVING CREATOR for all the little and big miracles in our lives. So, remember that no day is just another day. There are blessings around all of us every moment, just waiting for us to notice them.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
When you fulfill CREATOR GOD'S commands, you are actively "kissing the SON" by demonstrating honor for HIM.

KEEPING THE LAW
"Whoever looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does." [James 1. 25]
There are many things mentioned in the Law of the ALMIGHTY ONE that must be remembered and never forgotten. "MY son, do not forget MY Law (teaching), but let your mind retain MY commandments." [Proverbs (Mishle) 3. 1 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "You shall faithfully observe all the INSTRUCTIONS that I enjoin upon you today that you may live and increase and be able to possess the land that the LORD promised on oath to your fathers." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 8. 1 Tanakh, Torah]
Again from Deuteronomy, the BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE, Moses continually instructed GOD'S people to "Remember, Never Forget." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 9. 7 Tanakh, Torah] "Take utmost care and watch yourselves scrupulously, so that you do not forget the things that you saw with your own eyes and so that they do not fade from your heart and mind as long as you live. And make them known to your children and your children's children." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 4. 9 Tanakh, Torah] "Take care then, not to forget the covenant that the LORD your GOD concluded with you, and not to make for yourselves a carved image in any likeness, against which the LORD your GOD has forbidden you." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 4. 23 Tanakh, Torah] "Take heed! Do not forget the LORD WHO freed you and brought you out of the land of Egypt , the house of bondage. Revere only the LORD your GOD and worship HIM alone, and swear only by HIS NAME. Do not follow other gods, any gods of the people about you — for the LORD your GOD in your midst is a QANNA (jealous, impassioned) GOD — lest the anger of the LORD your GOD blaze forth against you and HE wipe you off the face of the earth. Do not tempt the LORD your GOD...keep the commandments, decrees, and laws that the LORD your GOD enjoined upon you." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 6. 12 - 17 Tanakh, Torah]
Then in the NEW COVENANT, Peter warns those who were in danger of becoming forgetful hearers of the WORD OF GOD: "Beloved, I now write to you this second epistle (in both of which I stir up your pure minds by way of reminder) that you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us, the apostles of the LORD and SAVIOR, knowing this first — that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts." [2 Peter 3. 1 - 3]
Believers must remember the PURE WORD in order to counter the teaching of the false prophets, false teachers, and scoffers who would bring in damnable heresies. "For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth." [2 Peter 1. 12]
Destruction comes on those who forget the HOLY ONE'S INSTRUCTIONS, "MY people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge and obedience, I reject you as MY priest; because you have spurned the teaching and forgotten the Law of your GOD. I in turn, will spurn and forget your children. The more they increased, the more they sinned against ME; I will change their dignity and glory into shame and dishonor." [Hosea (Hoshea) 4. 6 - 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im]
David, king of Israel declared, "I study and meditate on YOUR precepts, I contemplate and regard YOUR ways. I take delight in YOUR Laws; I will not neglect nor forget YOUR WORD." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 15 - 16 Tanakh, Kethuvim] O, that we ever delight in the LAW OF THE LORD and constantly meditate and reflect on it — "Give me understanding that I may observe YOUR teaching and keep it wholeheartedly. Lead me in the path of YOUR commandments, for that is my delight." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 34 - 35 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
May that be our prayer each day!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
CREATOR of the Universe, we come before YOU to praise and extol YOUR greatness and goodness. YOU, LORD GOD, are the FOUNTAIN from which all blessings flow.

Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. - Page 2 Empty Re: Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Notice to oneself: Just because it pops into your head does not mean it should come out of your mouth.

JUDGING DOCTRINAL HERESY
"Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. For those who are such do not serve our LORD JESUS CHRIST, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple." [Romans 14. 17 - 18]

We must exercise sound BIBLICAL discernment and judgment in order that we are able to mark and avoid those professing CHRISTian teachers and leaders who are promoting doctrinal heresy, who cause divisions among true CHRISTian believers. This judgment must only be based on the doctrine which you have learned from GOD’S HOLY WORD, "lest anyone should deceive you with persuasive words." [Colossians 2. 4]

"If they do not speak according to this WORD (Law & Testimony), it is because there is no light in them." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 8. 20] "Thus says the LORD — Stand in the ways and consider, inquire about the old paths, where the good way is, walk it; and you will find rest for your souls." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 6. 16 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Decisions are not to be based on supposed scholarship, tolerance, or eloquence, for such teachers "by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple." Instead, we must know and apply GOD’S WORD, the HOLY SCRIPTURES. "The works of the LORD are great, within reach and studied by all who desire and have pleasure in them. HIS work is splendid, honorable and glorious, and HIS righteousness is everlasting." [Psalms (Tehillym) 111. 2 - 3 Tanakh, Kethuvim] We must be like the Bereans who, when they heard new teachings, "they received the WORD with all readiness, and searched the SCRIPTURES daily to find out whether these things were so." [Acts 17. 11]

Today, sadly but true most who call themselves followers of MESSIAH (CHRIST-like-ones) have compromised with the so-called scientific world view of evolutionary humanism that controls all secular schools and colleges, preferring to remain on good terms with "the rulers of this age" and only understand the "wisdom of this age...being wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked" [1 Corinthians 2. 6 w/Revelation 3. 17]; thereby trying to avoid the "the offense of the cross." [Galatians 5. 11] The cross is offensive because it brands man as a hell-deserving sinner; and the only way of salvation is a humbling acknowledgment of YESHUA, the REJECTED CREATOR as their personal SAVIOR WHO died for their sins.

Deception is done simply for personal gain and prestige serving, "their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple." [Romans 16. 18] "Let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as HE is righteous. Whoever sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning." [1 John 3. 7 - 8]

The faithfully dedicated BIBLE-believing CHRISTian, will not be deceived by the good words of the deceptive swindlers, but will mark and avoid him. MESSIAH YESHUA even taught this truth by asking questions, "Can the blind lead the blind? Will they not both fall into the ditch?" [Luke 6. 39]

Be wise in what is good, and simple concerning evil. And the GOD of peace will crush Satan and those who mislead under your feet shortly. [Romans 16. 19 - 20] May the grace of the LORD YESHUA ha’MASHIACH be with you always!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel !
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
I praise and thank YOU, ALMIGHTY ONE, for YOU comfort and delight my soul. YOU are my ROCK and my REFUGE, in YOU I have hope and place my trust.
Don’t let your days determine your life, let your life determine your days…prepare them that they might become vessels of blessings and life to others. It is the best things you can do for yourself also.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Pray that you may never have to endure all that you can learn to bear.

ASK FOR WISDOM
"Now this is the confidence that we have in HIM (the ALL-WISE MASTER), that if we ask anything according to HIS will, HE hears us. And if we know that HE hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of HIM." [1 John 5. 14 - 15]

When we ask in prayer believing, we know that OMNIPOTENT LORD OF HOSTS not only hears our petition, but also has told us, "Whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them." [Mark 11. 24] For those who ask for GODly wisdom, they first must fear the LORD, then depart from all evil and obey the commandments of the LORD JESUS and diligently pursue to know and be like HIM. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of GOD, WHO gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind." [James 1. 5 - 6]

"If you make your ear attentive to wisdom and your mind open to discernment; if you call to understanding and cry aloud to discernment, if you seek her (wisdom) as you do silver and search for her as for treasures; then you will understand the fear of the LORD and attain knowledge of GOD. For the LORD grants wisdom; knowledge and understanding are by HIS decree." [Proverbs (Mishle) 2. 2 - 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward GOD. And whatever we ask we receive from HIM, because we keep HIS commandments and do those things that are pleasing in HIS sight." [1 John 3. 21 - 22]

The promises of ETERNAL GOD are true and they are life. GODly wisdom says: "Mine are counsel and sound wisdom and resourcefulness; I am understanding; courage is mine. Those who love me, I love, and those who seek me diligently will find me." [Proverbs (Mishle) 8. 14, 17 Tanakh, Kethuvim] If you would, with all your heart and soul, return to the LOVING MASTER and obey HIS voice according to all that HE commands you, you will find HIM. That is a promise and a blessing.

Such incredibly amazing love can only come from our HEAVENLY FATHER! In HIM are riches and honor forevermore...and when we ask, our joy is complete.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
As we bid farewell to Shabbat, may the ALMIGHTY ONE, WHO separates the holy from the secular, forgive our sins. Be reminded of your commitment to obey GOD in holiness and integrity of life. We are overwhelmingly grateful for ALMIGHTY GOD’S goodness and grace to us, truly HIS mercies endure forever.
In YOUR mercy, O LORD, remember us and all YOUR children as we enter a new week. O FATHER & REDEEMER, mindful of YOUR covenant, we pray that YOUR love may never forsake us. Even as the rainbow recalls this covenant, so may each new day bring to all men the thought of YOUR gracious promise. Hasten the time when YOUR Law will be written in every heart, from the smallest to the greatest. Then shall mankind do YOUR will and the reward of righteous service shall be peace.
Grant, O LORD, that when the time of our departure comes, we may look back without sorrow upon the life we leave, and with trust in YOUR mercy enter that life which YOU have prepared for the righteous, Amen
Go forth and proclaim the GOOD NEWS as the BELOVED ONE commissioned while it is still day, and have a blessed week!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Adversity introduces a man to himself.

GOD’S WATCHFUL EYE
"Truly the eye of the LORD is on those who fear HIM, who wait for HIS faithful care and hope in HIS mercy, to deliver their soul from death, and sustain them in famine." [Psalms (Tehillym) 33. 18 - 19 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

GOD MOST HIGH sees and knows our past, observes all things present and knows the future, for HE is all-seeing and all-knowing, the OMNISCIENT ONE. Knowing this, we should fix our eyes constantly on our LORD & SAVIOR that we learn to fear and trust HIM, the ONLY SOURCE of redemption. Like a mother who has trained her child well, can guide that little one by a simple look; so is the LORD our GOD well able to direct us by the indwelling HOLY SPIRIT.

The LORD directs us by the indwelling SPIRIT and by the SCRIPTURES which guide us. GOD will always guide us in the right direction as we allow the COMFORTER to lead us, moment by moment, to control our thoughts and actions: "When HE, the SPIRIT OF TRUTH, has come, HE will guide you into all truth; for HE will not speak on HIS OWN authority, but whatever HE hears HE will speak; and HE will tell you things to come. HE will glorify ME, for HE will take of what is MINE and declare it to you." [John 16. 13 - 14]

In difficult times, the LOVING MASTER is faithful to direct us on every side: "The LORD will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in parched places, and give strength to your bones. You shall be like a watered garden, like a spring whose waters do not fail." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 58. 11 Tanakh, Nevi’im] "Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your GOD; I will strengthen you — Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My victorious right hand." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 41. 10 Tanakh, Nevi’im] "The LORD is my LIGHT and my SALVATION; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked assail me to devour my flesh or slander me, my enemies and foes are the ones who stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me, my heart shall not fear; should war rise against me, still would I be confident." [Psalms (Tehillym) 27. 1 - 3 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Even in death, the LORD leads us: "For this is GOD, our GOD forever; HE will be our guide even to death." [Psalms (Tehillym) 48. 14 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no harm, for YOU are with me; YOUR rod and YOUR staff — they comfort me." [Psalms (Tehillym) 23. 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; through rivers, they shall not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be scorch, through flame, it shall not burn you. For I the LORD am your GOD, the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL, your SAVIOR." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 43. 2 - 3 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

Keep your eye on the CHERISHED PRIZE knowing that the reward will be worth it all as we live our life always doing what is well pleasing in HIS sight and for HIS glorious NAME’S sake.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Good Sabbath! Let us welcome Shabbat as we greet a beautiful bride. We also greet the new month of Shevat (starting this evening).
May our lips ever declare praises to our KING, HELPER, SAVIOUR & SHIELD for HIS loving kindness is mighty over us as we bid farewell to Shabbat. Quickened by YOUR spirit, LORD, may we learn how to ennoble (glorify) the things of earth by sanctifying them to YOUR service; for only an open vessel — one’s mind, heart, and life can contain the infinity of ALMIGHTY GOD. Think about that. . . and have a restful day in MESSIAH!
This is Holocaust Remembrance Day, may we always remember the 6 million Jews, and about the same number of Gentiles who perished. With the rise and defacement of anti-Semitism, we must commit, with urgency, to never let our cry of “Never Again” be silenced. We must. GOD be with each of you as you allow HIM to guide your thoughts and steps.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
GOD has not promised us tomorrow, but HE has promised us eternity!

LIGHT TO GENTILES
"For HE has said — It is too small a thing that YOU should be MY SERVANT (Hebrew: ebed) in that I raise up the tribes of Jacob and restore the survivors of Israel: I will also make YOU a LIGHT to the Gentiles, that YOU should be MY SALVATION to reach the ends of the earth." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 49. 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Here GOD THE FATHER is speaking to GOD THE WORD as HE is about to announce the PROMISED SEED, the SAVIOR of the world would come to bring salvation to a lost, sinful world. Not only the restoration of Israel , GOD'S elect nation, but salvation to all the Gentile nations throughout the earth. What the LORD has spoken, HE will bring to pass for HE designed it and will see that it is completed.

The old and revered prophet, Simeon, referred to this prophetic text when he took the infant JESUS into his arms and proclaimed, "LORD, now YOU are letting YOUR servant depart in peace, according to YOUR WORD; for my eyes have seen YOUR SALVATION which YOU have prepared before the face of all peoples, a LIGHT to bring revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of YOUR people Israel." [Luke 2. 29 -32]

The OLD COVENANT again prophecies that MESSIAH would come into the world to seek and save the lost and dying of humanity. "Behold! This is MY SERVANT, WHOM I uphold, MY ELECT ONE in WHOM I delight! I have put MY SPIRIT upon HIM, HE shall teach the True Way to the Gentiles...I, the LORD, in MY grace have called YOU in righteousness, and will hold YOUR hand. I will keep YOU and give YOU as a covenant to the people, as a LIGHT to the Gentiles, to open blind eyes, to rescue prisoners from confinement, from the dungeon those who sit in darkness." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 42. 1, 6 – 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Even the Magi's coming to worship the CHILD YESHUA in Bethlehem is foretold: "Arise, Shine! For your LIGHT has come! And the KABOD (PRESENCE) OF THE LORD is risen upon you. Behold! Darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but upon you the LORD will shine, and HIS GLORY (PRESENCE) will be seen over you. The Gentiles shall come to YOUR LIGHT, and kings to the brightness of YOUR radiance." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 60. 1 – 3 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

In Antioch , the Apostle Paul proclaimed this truth when he preached to the Gentiles there and everywhere else he spoke. "I have set you as a light to the Gentiles, that you should be for salvation to the ends of the earth." [Acts 13. 47] And he witnessed to both small and great "that the MESSIAH would suffer, that HE would be the first to rise from the dead, and would proclaim light to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles." [Acts 26. 23]

The LORD YESHUA not only enlightens both the Jews and the Gentiles, but HE is indeed "ha'NER" — the LIGHT of the world (ha'olam), the LIGHT of life.
What a MIGHTY GOD we serve!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel !
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
May you be blessed with joy, good health, peace, and all the best things ALMIGHTY GOD has prepared for you. Amen!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The pursuit of balance can create imbalance because sometimes something is true.

JUDGED IN RIGHTEOUSNESS
"Shout for joy at the PRESENCE of the LORD, for HE is coming, for HE is coming to judge the earth. HE shall rule the world with righteousness, and HIS peoples in truth." [Psalms (Tehillym) 96. 13 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Judgment is coming for every person, "as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment." [Hebrews 9. 27] Unfortunately, most people do not believe it, and even more don’t even care, but judgment is coming! Be certain of this fact — we will all meet our MAKER someday and "then each of us shall give account of himself to GOD." [Romans 14. 2]

The time is coming, and that very soon, when we will stand before the JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST. There we will be judged for every thought, word, and deed. "There is no creature hidden from HIS sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of HIM to whom we must give account." [Hebrews 4. 13] The RIGHTEOUS JUDGE "WHOSE eyes are too pure to look upon evil and cannot tolerate wickedness and treachery." [Habakkuk 1. 13 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "It is HE WHO judges the world in righteousness, and HE shall administer judgment for the peoples in uprightness... HE is coming to rule the earth. With righteousness HE shall judge the world, and its peoples with equity." [Psalms (Tehillym) 9. 8; 98. 9 Tanakh, Kethuvim; also see Psalm 96. 10] "The LORD shall repay the evildoer according to his wickedness." [2 Samuel/Shemuel Bet 3. 39]

All are lost if GOD judges righteously, for "There is none righteous, no, not one" [Romans 3. 10; also Psalm 14. 1–3; 53. 1–4], and "cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the BOOK OF THE LAW, to do them." [Galatians 3. 10; also Deuteronomy 27. 26]

However, thankfully we can be shown GOD’S amazing mercy for "GOD was in CHRIST reconciling the world to HIMSELF...For HE made HIM who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of GOD in HIM." [2 Corinthians 5. 19, 21] The LORD JESUS CHRIST, GOD’S ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON, our CREATOR and KINSMAN-REDEEMER, has taken our judgment on HIMSELF, and "there is therefore now no condemnation (judgment) to those who are in CHRIST JESUS, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the SPIRIT. For the Law of the SPIRIT OF LIFE in CHRIST JESUS has made me free from the Law of sin and death." [Romans 8. 1 - 2]

For that reason, "the FATHER judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the SON." [John 5. 22] The ALMIGHTY ONE can both judge righteously and yet graciously save all who receive HIS BELOVED SON, by faith — "because HE has appointed a day on which HE will judge the world in righteousness by the MAN whom HE has ordained. HE has given assurance of this to all by raising HIM from the dead"... therefore, "whoever believes in HIM will receive remission of sins." [Acts 17. 31; 10. 42]

The LORD YESHUA ha’MASHIACH is not only our MASTER-CREATOR and the RIGHTEOUS JUDGE. Furthermore, HE is our BELOVED REDEEMER, the GREAT MEDIATOR, MIGHTY COUNSELOR, GLORIOUS ADVOCATE, WONDERFUL SAVIOR, the PRINCE OF PEACE, and so much more!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel , O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
O GOD and FATHER, hear me as I pray with the Psalmist of old: So teach us to number our days rightly, that we may obtain a wise heart. And, may the hallowed influences of this day give us strength to do YOUR perfect will, O GOD, with a steadfast, submissive and loving spirit and with a heart of wisdom. Amen.
The LORD loves truth and peace: "Speak each man the truth to his neighbor; give judgment in your gates for truth, justice and peace; let none of you think evil in your heart against your neighbor; and do not love a false oath. For all these are things that I hate, says YEHOWAH, the GOD OF HOSTS." [Zechariah/Zecharyah 8. 16 - 17]
We pray for YOUR soon return, LORD, and expectantly desire to see YOUR glorious face. Speedily come, we pray!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Correct me from the HOLY SCRIPTURE and you’ll have a friend for life. Correct me by your opinion, and you’ll have only your opinion.

MESSIAH — AFFLICTED FOR ISRAEL
"I will recount the loving-kindnesses of the LORD and the praises of the LORD, for all that the LORD has imparted to us, the great goodness to the House of Israel, that HE has bestowed on them according to HIS mercies and to the multitude of HIS loving-kindness. In all their affliction He was afflicted, and the ANGEL OF HIS PRESENCE delivered them. In HIS love and pity HE HIMSELF redeemed them; HE raised them and carried them all the days of old." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 63. 7, 9 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

The very heart of GOD’S MESSAGE is HIS everlasting love to Israel. In speaking to them HE tells that HIS love is one of suffering and sacrifice. We find this attitude of the HOLY ONE recorded particularly in the book of Isaiah which sounds more like a NEW COVENANT writer then an OLD COVENANT prophet as his MESSIANIC prophecies are clearer and more explicit than those in any other OLD COVENANT book.

For about fifteen hundred years Israel offered daily sacrifices to GOD at HIS commands which pointed to the coming of ONE WHO would fulfill this sacrificial love of the ALMIGHTY. These sacrifices were not intended by GOD to be an end in themselves, but HE taught HIS ancient people, Israel — in these types, pictures, and symbols — of HIS desire to reveal HIS great suffering love for them and that one day HE would actually do this in a SUPREME SACRIFICE, their MESSIAH – REDEEMER - KING!

In the TANAKH, the HEBREW SCRIPTURES, we read concerning the MESSIAH OF ISRAEL, the SAVIOUR of the world. We find there that HE was to come and express GOD’S love to Israel and to all who would believe on HIM. Again, in Isaiah’s prophecy, GOD is speaking concerning HIS PROMISED ONE; this UNIQUE ONE WHO would be THE SERVANT OF GOD. "Indeed, MY SERVANT shall deal prudently; HE shall be exalted and extolled to great heights." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 52. 13 Tanakh, Nevi’im] The GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob named the MESSIAH calling HIM "MY SERVANT." GOD continues HIS description of HIM: "Just as the many were astonished (Hebrew: shamem – petrified, to stun, stupefy, devastate) at HIM, so marred was HIS appearance, unlike that of any man, HIS form, beyond human semblance." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 52. 14 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

Here it is recorded concerning the SERVANT — MESSIAH’S sufferings. So much was HIS suffering that HE was an astonishment. HIS face and HIS body were twisted in agony because of HIS sacrificial offering for Israel and all mankind. From words in the HEBREW TEXT we realize that in HIS agony, the beatings accompanying HIS sacrifice disfigured HIS face and twisted HIS body to such a degree that HE did not even look like a man!

Isaiah continues to relate MESSIAH’S suffering: "I gave MY back to the floggers, and My cheeks to those who tore out the beard; I did not hide MY face from insult and spitting." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 50. 6 Tanakh, Nevi’im] Notice as you read this particular chapter that it is the LORD GOD HIMSELF WHO is speaking. HE is saying, "I gave MY back to the floggers.” So GOD had a back and it was whipped and beaten by man! Quoting again from SCRIPTURE concerning GOD’S sacrificial suffering-love for Israel : "In all their affliction HE was afflicted." Yes! MESSIAH YESHUA entered into the sufferings of Israel even to the agony, the beatings with shame and spitting, the humiliation and heart-break which was associated with HIS supreme sacrifice on Calvary !

Why would MESSIAH do this? HE is showing HIS sacrificial suffering-love to Israel even as it was pictured by GOD in all the sacrifices of the HOLY WRIT! All Israel who had faith in these sacrifices were redeemed by the sacrificial blood sprinkled on the Altars and the Ark of the Covenant’s Mercy Seat. It is like a credit arrangement until the actual SUPREME SACRIFICE on Calvary was accomplished when the debt was paid in full!

"So will HE sprinkle many nations." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 52. 15] Throughout the FIRST COVENANT WRITINGS in the sacrificial system, GOD commanded the Levitical priests to sprinkle the sacrificial blood — "A life for a life." There was to be an innocent victim offered in the place of the guilty. The MESSIAH was to give up HIS innocent life so HE could redeem many who were guilty. It was because YESHUA was marred more than any man as a sacrifice upon an altar that HE could "sprinkle" many nations.

After this report of MESSIAH’S sacrifice is given we read of a heart-breaking prophecy from Isaiah: "Who has believed our report? To whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? For HE shall grow up before HIM as a tender plant, as a root out of arid ground. HE has no form or comeliness; that we should look at HIM; no beauty that we should desire HIM. HE is despised, rejected by men, a MAN of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from HIM (as a leper); HE was despised, and we held HIM of no esteem." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 53. 1 - 3 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

There is a question as to whether or not this report and description of the MESSIAH will be accepted and believed! It is taught to my Jewish people that Isaiah 53 represents Israel and not MESSIAH YESHUA, the RIGHTEOUS, SUFFERING SERVANT OF GOD. My Jewish people were and are taught to believe that this chapter is merely describing the sufferings Jews have and are undergoing…that they are the ones despised, acquainted with grief and rejected of men. This beautiful chapter of Isaiah is referring to MESSIAH and not the Jewish people. Try substituting the personal pronouns HE, HIS, HIM with the word "Israel" and you can see for yourself that this thought is ridiculous at best. Please read it for yourselves and recognize the description of the ONE WHO was to come as REDEEMER for you and all who will believe on HIM.

What all my Jewish people (and Gentiles) must know is that the SOVEREIGN GOD OF THE UNIVERSE planned from the foundation of the world that there would be two comings of their REDEEMER: The First Coming would be that of the SUFFERING SACRIFICE for the people’s sins and at HIS Second Coming, HE would be KING. First, YESHUA must appear as the LAMB Sacrifice before HE could appear as RULER in Israel . And, my Jewish people, you must first accept HIM as the AFFLICTED SERVANT, the SAVIOR-REDEEMER, the SUPREME SACRIFICE for your sins, before you can receive HIM as your LORD & KING. Won’t you do that now?

May the GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob bless each of you and open your eyes to see YESHUA as your MESSIAH, GOD’S PERFECT SACRIFICE. Accept HIM into your heart — the ONE WHO died for you and victoriously rose again and is coming back to take you to you HIMSELF that you might be with HIM forever!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel !
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
We gratefully acknowledge, O LORD, our GOD, that YOU are our CREATOR and PRESERVER, the ROCK of our life and the SHIELD of our help. We give thanks to YOU for our lives which are in YOUR hand, for our souls which are ever in YOUR keeping, for YOUR wondrous providence and for YOUR continuous goodness, which YOU bestow on us day by day. Truly, YOUR mercies never fail and YOUR loving-kindness never ceases. Therefore do we forever put our trust in YOU! Thank YOU LORD for saving my soul! Go with GOD!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
One’s Jewish identity is often a liability, not an asset.

SPIRITUAL CIRCUMCISION
In the HEBREW SCRIPTURES GOD gave a number of pictures concerning a new beginning, a new life which HE promised to HIS children. The most important one of these pictures is the rite of circumcision. This is the oldest and most sacred of our Jewish instructions. Many of you, my Jewish people, know the Hebrew word "brith (bris)." The HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL made this Covenant with Abraham:
"And GOD said to Abraham — As for you, you and your descendants to come throughout the ages shall keep MY Covenant. Such shall be the Covenant between ME and you and your descendants offspring to follow which you shall keep: every male child among you shall be circumcised. You shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin, and it shall be the sign of the Covenant between ME and you. And throughout the generations, every male among you shall be circumcised at the age of eight days, he who is born in your house or bought with money from any foreigner who is not your descendant. He who is born in your house and he who is bought with your money must be circumcised, and MY Covenant shall be in your flesh for an Everlasting Covenant. And the uncircumcised male child, who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, that person shall be cut off from his people; he has broken MY Covenant." [Genesis (Bereshith) 17. 9 - 14 Tanakh, Torah]

You know the custom of our people: how that when a boy is eight days old, there is a great celebration. When the child is brought in for circumcision, all those who are gathered for the occasion call out: “Blessed be he who comes in the name of the LORD.” Then the baby is placed upon a chair which is called The Chair (or) Throne of Elijah. We Jewish people had been taught that Elijah was the Messenger of the Covenant who was to announce the coming of MESSIAH. This promise of GOD is recorded in the HOLY SCRIPTURES.

The person who performs the circumcision recites a prayer which begins: “This is the Chair of Elijah…for YOUR salvation, O LORD, I have waited…” At the Bris, the Jewish boy is given his Hebrew name which is his legal or ritual name. It is permitted to add a non-Hebrew name to this Hebrew name and many of our fellow Jews are called by either of them.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, we Jewish people have heard the recital of a very important prayer asking the ETERNAL ONE to send the MESSIAH WHO is the RIGHTEOUS PRIEST and to make us worthy of the days of MESSIAH and of the life to come!

O my Jewish people — do you not see what GOD is teaching you by this Covenant with Abraham? HE desires to cut away all your old life of ritual and ceremony so that HE can give you a NEW life — a NEW beginning. And HE is trying to show you that the coming of the MESSIAH will do that very thing for you if you will only believe!

It does not matter if you are born a natural Jew and have gone through the ceremony of circumcision in the flesh. GOD does not recognize you as a TRUE Jew until your heart is circumcised — that is: the old life has been cut away by believing in YESHUA — JESUS OF NAZARETH as your MESSIAH.

Here is GOD’S pronouncement upon our Jewish forefathers in the words of Jeremiah: "Behold, the days are coming — says the LORD — that I will punish all who are circumcised with the uncircumcised — Egypt, Judah, Edom, the people of Ammon, Moab, and all who are in the farthest corners, who dwell in the wilderness. For all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the House of Israel are uncircumcised of heart (for their minds are blocked to GOD’S commandments)." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 9. 25 - 26 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

GOD wants to give you a new life, a new heart. This is made possible when your heart believes in YESHUA, and your mouth confesses HIM to be your RIGHTEOUS PRIEST, your MESSIAH-KING. Then it will be possible for you to love the LORD GOD with all your heart and soul. GOD promises this to you in your own JEWISH SCRIPTURES: "Then the LORD your GOD will circumcise your heart and the hearts of your descendants to love the LORD your GOD with all your heart and soul, in order that you may live." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 30. 6 Tanakh, Torah]

The NEW COVENANT tells us who is a TRUE Jew. The Jewish apostle Paul wrote by GOD’S inspiration: "For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the SPIRIT, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from GOD." [Romans 2. 28 - 29]

My fellow Jew [and friends], will you not heed the voice of the LORD? HE commands you to circumcise the foreskin of your heart so the OLD LAW is cut away and a NEW LAW takes its place. The ordinances, rituals, ceremonies and sacrifices under the OLD COVENANT are fulfilled in the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL — YESHUA, the GALILEAN. Why don’t you accept a NEW BEGINNING for yourself? Accept HIS life, HIS love, HIS peace, HIS righteousness. Let HIM come into your heart and life as HE so desires to do. HE will do so if you but ask HIM!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel , O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Thank YOU LORD GOD for filling the heart with marvelous joy and peace, for giving us strength of faith in YOU for even greater tasks. Our confidence rests solely in YOU, our GREAT, ETERNAL, WONDERFUL LORD. YOU are the LIFE of all, the HELP of those that flee to YOU, the HOPE of those who cry to YOU. Cleanse us from our sins, secret and open, and from every thought displeasing to YOUR goodness — purify our bodies and souls, our hearts and consciences, that with a pure heart, and a clear soul, with perfect love and calm hope, we may venture confidently and fearlessly to pray to YOU. Amen

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.
