Are You Foolish, Disobedient and Deceived?

Titus 3:3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient,
deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy,
hateful, [and] hating {comparing} one another.

Today’s message is from the letter written by Paul to Titus and has Paul
describing a person who

Lives serving various lusts and pleasures,
Living in malice and envy,
Hatefulness,
Comparing one person to another.

As foolish, disobedient and under deceit.

If we introspect our lives and ask ourselves

Are the pleasures of this world important to us? Can I do without these
worldly things or services of this world, or lifestyle?
Do I think of hurting people if not physically by action, at least
emotionally by my harsh word?
Do I desire to remove people out of my live, harm their existence in
society or their relationship with others?
Do I hate people so much that I cannot forgive them? Even though I may have
told them I forgive them but my thoughts keep reminding me of the injustice
or hurts they did towards me.
Do I go about comparing a person to another, not acknowledging the
uniqueness of that person?

If we are doing any of these then the Lord says we have some level of
foolishness, disobedience and deception in us. We as Christians are ‘work
in process’ and we need to improve daily to be like Christ.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are Holy, Perfect in every way and no
darkness exist in You. Lord You have call us to be perfect like You are, so
help us Lord to be aware of those areas of foolishness, disobedience and
deception, help us through your Spirit to overcome these areas so that we
become more and more Israel – Sons of God...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Romans 3:9-18
9 What then? are we better [than they]? No, in no wise: for we have before
proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;
10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become
unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
13 Their throat [is] an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used
deceit; the poison of asps [is] under their lips:
14 Whose mouth [is] full of cursing and bitterness:
15 Their feet [are] swift to shed blood:
16 Destruction and misery [are] in their ways:
17 And the way of peace have they not known:
18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.

Worshiping God through the flesh

Luke 7: 34, 35 The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say,
Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and
sinners! But wisdom is justified of all her children.

If one looks at all man made religions which are simply human traditions
and worldly wisdom, one finds food and restraining of lustful desires a key
aspect of their relationship with their god / gods / universal spiritual
power.

Let me take an example. In Yoga people use the term ‘meditation’ and think
it is a mind control exercise by focusing on a specific aspect but actually
as per requirement the person needs to do breathing exercise (reduce
oxygen/air intake) and are asked to switch off one’s mind (empty one’s
mind/stop thinking/play brain dead). People think there is divine wisdom
behind it but if one understand the wisdom of those who initiated this one
would fall laughing. Then, they thought the moon (symbolism) dwells in the
head and the sun in the belly. The moon gives life giving nectar
(Kundalini) which is consumed by the sun, so by holding ones breath one can
reduce the consumption of this nectar and thus live longer!

Our body is designed by God and needs certain things to keep it alive, by
depriving it of any of its essential needs has repercussions not only to
the body but also to the inner-man. By depriving the body of oxygen over
long periods will not improve but only harm the body and that is why deep
sea divers suffer from lower life expectancy. Over doing or under doing the
essential needs of the body, both are harmful to our body and spirit being.

Fasting according to the Bible is to deprive oneself of carnal desires
which have the power to take the person away from God. It does not need to
be bad (thing or habit) but even good things taken in wrong proportions
would have such a result. Daniel’s fast is an example of fasting where he
ate simple bread amongst the world’s grandest buffets and such a fast
caused the Angel of the Lord to appear unto him. Daniel and those with him
did not do this only for a short period but did it continually while they
were in Babylon.

Depriving oneself of food can be ones first step (baby steps) towards
fasting, but doing this over a long period can affect one’s spirit being.
Bible says the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the wilderness for forty days to
fast without consuming food or water so that He could be tempted by the
devil. Had Jesus not fasted then Satan would not have dared to tempt Him,
but since He was weakened by the fasting on the fortieth day Satan tried to
tempt Him. This tempting was necessary so that Jesus as man could overcome
the temptations Adam and Eve were put through, the forty days fasting was
also necessary for Jesus to be accepted as a Jewish Rabbi according to the
School of Moses and get the privilege to preach in Jewish synagogues, the
other option was according to the School of Samuel that is be an apprentice
under another Rabbi for a long period (Paul Saul was doing that before his
encounter with the Lord).

In today’s message Jesus did not fast like the Jews but did eat and drink
(normal food quantity and drank grape juice) and continued ministering the
sinners so the Jews exaggerated things and called a gluttonous man, a
winebibber and at the same time a friend of publicans and sinners.

A Christian is a solider of the Lord and even though he overcomes darkness
yet he does not battle darkness but overcomes with the light in him. We are
not called to battle evil by fighting against it but by goodness. We are
called to show the path of truth and light so that evil does not get fed
and thus dies.

Let us not make Christianity like other religions by human rituals,
traditions and worldly wisdom which is foolishness according to God. Let us
understand everything and do all things according to the wisdom of God.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God. Your Kingdom is not of this world for your Kingdom is
Spirit. The flesh cannot be fought in the flesh for iron does not sharpen
iron but only makes lots of noise. Only the spirit can control the flesh so
let us be led by your Spirit that we may overcome our flesh. Help us
overcome darkness with light, let us overcome evil with good...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Matthew 4:1-3
1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of
the devil.
2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an
hungred.
3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God,
command that these stones be made bread.

Daniel 10:3 I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my
mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were
fulfilled.

Daniel 1:8 -20

Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your
good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Romans 12:21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Believing fables

2 Timothy 4:4 And they shall turn away [their] ears from the truth, and
shall be turned unto fables.

Today’s message talks of people believing not the truth but fables. When we
think of believing fables we think this pertains to only pagan beliefs and
not to Christianity.

The Greek word fable comes from the root word ‘mysteries’ or ‘hidden
things’.

Yesterday I was talking to some Catholics who were confident of going to
Heaven. I asked what gave them the confidence and they said it is because
they believed in Jesus Christ and they did what He Commanded. When I asked
what is that He Commanded and they said to carry His cross daily. I was
taken back so at their answer (mind you I was talking to teenagers) so I
asked what they understood by the term cross and they said suffering, pain
and persecution!

Amongst Christians also we have fables believing stories made by man due to
our ignorance of scriptures. The Greek word for ‘cross’ comes from the root
word ‘cause’ and thus when Jesus said ‘take up your cross and follow me’,
it did not mean suffering due to sickness, pain in relationships caused due
to misunderstandings or hurts due to our ego etc. He said daily taking the
mission He gave us which is to reach out to the lost, teaching them the
Word and making them disciples for Christ so as to do what we do and what
Christ did.

If one scrutinizes every area of our so called Church beliefs and
traditions, one will find lots and lots of fables. One wonders how did
these come into the Christian belief system and who would think of doing
such a think?

Today’s message Paul warned Timothy long back about people not enduring the
truth so they would add fables. Paul was not talking of non-Christians to
Timothy but of Christians. Paul was not talking of end days but about the
near future.

Since 300AD we had a tsunami of fables ignited under ‘Christian’ banner and
many of them found their way into the main stream ‘Christian’ belief
system. Even after the ‘Reformation’ movement still a large amount of
fables still continues. So like Paul advised Timothy, let us harken to the
advice, let us test every belief even if we are afflicted for it and all
what we preach let us give a proof of it both scripturally and life example..

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are Holy, Righteous and Truth. You,
Lord desire man also to be holy, righteous and filled with the truth. It is
only when we are in You and You in us that we will know the truth, received
righteousness and holiness. We pray Lord we test everything that we believe
especially those which in your name and not in your Word. Help us to
cleanse all that is not of You...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Luke 9:23 And he said to [them] all, If any [man] will come after me, let
him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations,
baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy
Spirit:

2 Timothy 4:3-5
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but
after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having
itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away [their] ears from the truth, and shall be
turned unto fables.
5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an
evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

Proverbs 1:32 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the
prosperity of fools shall destroy them.

1 Timothy 1:4 Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which
minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith:

fruits Worthy of Repentance

Luke 3:8 Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not
to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to [our] father: for I say unto
you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

I have mentioned before there are 12 Fruits of the Spirit and not 9 as
believed; 9 are mentioned in Galatians 5:22-23 and 3 are mentioned in
Ephesians 5:9. The 9 in Galatians are separately mentioned for they are the
ones we can bring forth while the 3 mentioned in Ephesians are those which
we receive in as gift from God i.e. Truth, Righteousness and Holiness we
receive from the Holy Spirit, Son and Father respectively.

I have also mentioned before the Greek word repentance does not mean to be
sorry but speaks of correction. Repentance thus means being aware one is in
the wrong and makes efforts to walk in the right path.

Today’s scriptures tells us God has made us to bear Fruits of the Spirit
that overcomes evil, it goes on to say if we do not do that, then we are
not worthy more than being children of stone or in other words little
stones.

Being stone hearted or being stones will only bring us doom in the Kingdom
of God and it is only Fruits of the Spirit that will make us His Sons and
thus inheritors of His Kingdom. So let us concentrate on the Fruits of the
Spirit.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God and You created all beings that exist. You make
everything for a purpose according your wisdom, which is unmeasurable. Lord
we pray we understand ways of the Spirit are more important than ways of
the body. We pray we seek things of the Spirit more than things of this
world...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Galatians 5:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Ephesians 5:9 (For the fruit of the Spirit [is] in all goodness and
righteousness and truth;)

John 15:4-6
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself,
except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in
him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered;
and men gather them, and cast [them] into the fire, and they are burned.

Witness Him outside the Camp

Hebrew 13: 12,13 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people
with his own blood, suffered without the gate. Let us go forth therefore
unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.

Today when people go to Israel for ‘Christian’ pilgrimages they visit the
place where they are told Jesus was crucified (currently there are two
places which they say He was crucified and there are more than one tomb
which they claim was where His body was kept). Interestingly the place was
supposed to be outside city limits but since the city grew the place of His
crucifixion is now inside city limits.

Today’s message talks of the importance of witnessing Christ outside the
camp because it was outside the city limits that the criminals were
punished, also it was outside city limits where the unclean people were
made to dwell.

These days we see a lot of preaching and witnessing of Christ happening but
interestingly almost 95% of them happens amongst Christians. We are talking
of Christ to those who know and not to those who do not know Him. We are
witnessing Him to people who think they are okay and not to those who are
helpless, who are hopeless, we are witnessing Him inside the camp and not
outside the camp.

Let us witness Christ to people who need Him and not to those who are
satisfied in life.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Merciful God. You Lord in your anger yet made a way for peace
through Christ. We pray we share Christ to those who desire to make peace
and not to those who think they are okay. We pray we share Him to the
hopeless, helpless and lost...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
John 19:20 The writing was seen by a number of the Jews, for the place
where Jesus was put to death on the cross was near the town; and the
writing was in Hebrew and Latin and Greek.

Isaiah 53:8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall
declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living:
for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

R.D SOUZA Saved by faith Empty Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Salve is a freeman and freeman is a slave!

1 Corinthians 7:22 For he who was called in the Lord as a slave is a
freedman of the Lord. Likewise he who was free when called is a slave of
Christ.

Today’s message seems to be a paradox for it says one who is a slave is
free and one who is free is a slave! It is like saying one who is tall is
short and one who is short is tall!

This verse can have multiple application (interpretation is still one and
not many), we will stick to the context of the letter in which Paul (his
team) wrote to the Church of Corinth. In this letter Paul uses the Greek
word ‘doulos’ for slave, which does not mean literal slave therefore in
many translations it is translated as ‘servant’ or ‘bondservant’. It speaks
of natural commitment one has in this world, it could be a job, a
responsibility or even a verbal commitment one has made towards a task or
person.

Today’s message says even though one is bounded is the world that person is
a free soul, we make commitments out of free will, it is not binding on us
to live in these commitments, if we have made we fulfil but to make is not
necessary.

The other part of the scripture states even though we are free in this
world yet we have a commitment to the people of this world. We are
committed because we are in Christ and this commitment is towards the
mission Christ has given us that is to save souls for the Kingdom of God.
To save souls does not mean to convert people from other religions or to
bring them to our Churches. It means to let people know God and to live a
transformed life in Christ.

Jesus did not say go out in the world and just give the Gospel, to convert
them to Christianity or add them to your Church. He said give them the
Gospel, teach them about the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and make them
Disciples of Christ.

Let us understand we live a life is this world according to the ways of
this world not because we are bonded or compelled to, we do out of our free
will. We also should remember we being free beings are committed to the
mission of the Kingdom of God that is to save souls through Christ.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You alone are God. You Lord created the Heavens and
this creation. You being Lord yet are committed to serving your creation so
much so that You sacrificed your only Son for the lives of your creation.
Lord we pray we who are set free may understand our freedom and at the same
time we understand the cost You paid for our freedom and we too who need to
imitate You have to pay a price so that others may receive your salvation....

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
1 Corinthians 7:20-24
20 Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.
21 Art thou called [being] a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest
be made free, use [it] rather.
22 For he that is called in the Lord, [being] a servant, is the Lord’s
freeman: likewise also he that is called, [being] free, is Christ’s servant.
23 Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.
24 Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.

1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body,
whether [we be] Jews or Gentiles, whether [we be] bond or free; and have
been all made to drink into one Spirit.

Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor
free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Colossians 3:11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor
uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond [nor] free: but Christ [is] all,
and in all.

1 Timothy 6:1 Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own
masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and [his] doctrine be
not blasphemed.

Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations,
baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy
Spirit:

Humans can be worse than animals

Matthew 8: 31,32 So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out,
suffer us to go away into the herd of swine. And he said unto them, Go. And
when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the
whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and
perished in the waters.

When a person gets angry and wants to insult the other person they at times
call them names of animals. Humans believe animals are low creatures but in
today’s message we see a different aspect.

Today’s message is about an incident where two persons had a legion of
demons in them (in the gospel there are two such incidents one of a person
and one of two persons, they both are different incidents even though they
happened in the same place for it happened at two different times and
travel routes of Jesus Luke 8:26-40, Mark 5:1-20 and Matthew 8:24-34) and
when Jesus approaches the possessed persons the demons knowing who Jesus is
in desperation request to allow them to enter a herd of pigs. The demons
feared Jesus would sent them to Hell where they would be imprisoned and
would suffer and they also could stay out of a body for long. They were
also aware Jesus would not allow them to enter the other people around
(they can enter only hardened hearts) and like man cannot live in water so
also evil spirits in this creation cannot live outside a body/ body for
long. What is interesting is that the animals could not sustain these
demons like the alone man or the two men did and in both cases the animals
went crazy and drowned themselves.

Man was made in the image of God and sin corrupted man, tarnishing that
image. When we live in sin we tarnish the image more and more allowing
darkness to rein, when we come to Christ (repent) we stop tarnishing the
image and when we follow the Holy Spirit we start to restore the image of
God in us and let His light shine in us. A corrupt man living in sin can
hold a legion of demons but an animal who is not made in the image of God
cannot hold even one demon. Living is sin does not necessary mean a person
stealing, lying, robbing or killing, even a person living in lust of the
flesh, or in hatred, or un-forgiveness is living in sin and such person are
prone to demons or demonic attack.

Let us write it in our hearts / minds that if we are in Christ we can be
Heavenly beings and if we are not in Christ there are chances we can be
worse than animals. Also let us not consider all who are not in Christ as
worse than animals for there are many who are lost and may come to the
knowledge of Christ soon.

[Prayer Starter]
Father God You created us through your Son. You created us in your image
for You had Heavenly plans for us but sin corrupted us and thus we moved
out your presence so that we could be restored back. Lord even though we
are corrupt beings we have hope in You. Lord we pray we do not harden our
hearts that darkness takes hold of us and we become a house for demons...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Matthew 8:28-34

Luke 8:26-40

Mark 5:1-20

Luke 11:24-26
24 The unclean spirit when he is gone out of the man, passeth through
waterless places, seeking rest, and finding none, he saith, I will turn
back unto my house whence I came out.
25 And when he is come, he findeth it swept and garnished.
26 Then goeth he, and taketh [to him] seven other spirits more evil than
himself; and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man
becometh worse than the first.

Law is for the Lawless and Disobedient…

1 Timothy 1: 9, 10 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous
man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners,
for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers,
for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with
mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be
any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

In today’s message Paul says the Word of God which is the Law of God is
given for a list of people starting with lawless and disobedient people. I
will expound on every word (going to its Greek root meaning) for us to
understand better.

Lawless – without any establishment
Disobedient – unsubjected
Ungodly – one who does not worship (God)
Sinners – devote to sin
Unholy – wicked
(Un) profane – inaccessible (unwilling to walk/action)
Murderers of fathers – kills, also means strikes/harms the one who gave life
Murderers of mothers – harms, strikes the one who nurtures and comforts
Manslayers – kills another human being
Whoremongers – willingly used to fulfil the lust of another
Them that defile themselves with mankind – Pansexuals, sodomite, homosexual
or any unnatural sex (other than virginal sex between man and woman).
Menstealers - one who unjustly reduces another person to slavery or similar
to it.
Liars - deliberately speaks falsehood
Perjured persons - false swearer (does not keeps ones promises)
Any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine – anything that is
against the complete teaching (Word of God is complete and wholesome)

If we look into our lives we will find ourselves amongst these listed above..

Let us understand we lack and because we lack God gave us His Word which
will make us whole and transform us. So let us let the Word of God work in
us and through us to do that transformation.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You alone are God and You alone are Holy, Righteous and True. Lord we
pray we understand the importance of your Word and the reason we need to
abide in it. Lord we pray the understanding of the Word, the revelation of
your Word be our foundation...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Returning to Yokes of Bondage

Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath
made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

When we talk of deliverance people immediately think casting/chasing away
of evil spirits. It is not necessary always evil spirits possess a person,
in fact possession cases are few compared to other deliverance cases. Most
of the time we find cases of people being tormented by evil spirits and
people being enticed / induced by evil spirits.

Our inner-man is the battle field which decides who gets our spirit, either
God (eternal / abundant life) or Satan (destruction). Our flesh (5 natural
senses) is the doorway by which most of the attack by the enemy happens. We
cannot shut theses doorways for we live through them and even our
transformation by the Word happens through these. Our Spirit is the other
doorway (6th sense / spiritual conscience) by which the enemy can attack
(possessions happen through this doorway), but this doorway cannot be
broken into until the flesh is under constant attack or the enemy has
victory through those doorways. It is for this reason we need to not allow
the flesh assault to continue for long but try to overcome it as soon as
possible.

When we are baptized in Jesus Christ we realize who the enemy is and decide
to battle the enemy. It is only when we are baptized in the Holy Spirit
that the real battle starts. We have victor over the enemy (deliverance
from attack of the enemy) only when we have control over the doorways.
Spiritual discernment and understanding of the Kingdom of God (by the Word
of God) enables us to control the doorways.

Today’s message alerts us if we put down our spiritual guard and open the
doorways of flesh we can come under successful infiltration by the enemy.
Once the enemy stays for long he tries to take control of the battle field
and this is where one spiritually backslides.

Walk in the Lord or putting on Jesus Christ means battling the enemy and
constantly guarding the doorways. So today let us look inside and see where
all the enemy which Paul listed yesterday exist and let us battle it and
drive it out so as to become overcomers.

[Prayer Started]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are Holy God and as your children You
desire we too be holy. You made us to be the light that shines in the
darkness and overcomes it. We pray Lord we understand even though You fight
our battle yet we need to identify the enemy and hold your Hand in this
battle. Like Joshua did not stand while You fought his battles, so also we
too do not expect You to do everything. Help us not to backslide but be
overcomers by daily battling the enemy and guarding the doorways...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Can anyone bear our sins?

1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree,
that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose
stripes ye were healed.

When Jesus Christ is preached to Muslims some of the things that they find
hard to digest is how can one person bear the sins of another? How can one
person pay the price and save many, including those not yet born?

The basic problem with understanding how Jesus Christ bore our sins (done
and not yet done) is that we do not understand sin and how we suffer it.
Sin is a deed (action or thought) which causes corruption within a person.
The consequence of this corruption within us is not truly felt unless we
are in Hell. It is in Hell that this very corruption (each and every sin)
we start to suffer. Bible describes them as never dying flesh eating worms
or endless burning coal, so as to show the impact of the pain within.

Hell has no external fire, it is a prison where each soul is kept in
solitude and the burning is within of the sins within that soul which he or
she committed in the flesh (when alive in this creation) and that souls
suffers them until one’s spirit life term (which is in thousands of years).
Hell was cursed to sinful man (God made Hell so that sinful man could
complete its spirit life far from His glory) and when Jesus as man
resurrected from Hell He broke the curse of Hell in the lives of all those
who believe in Him. So those who believe in Him if they have sinned and are
found amongst the sheep on Judgment Day would be made full (corruption
removed and Image of God restored / made complete Sons of God /
transformed) thus the consequence of sin in nil in their lives. As for the
goats since they too believe in Him do not pay for their sins, but since
they rejected His Word / Will they are punished for rejecting the Word in
the Lake of Fire/Sulphur. Ironically the punishment in the Lake of Fire is
far greater than suffering one’s own sins.

Bible too says no man can pay for the sins of another nor can the sins of
one person transferred to another, what Jesus took away from those who
believe in Him is the consequence of their sins by His righteousness as
man, death on the cross and His resurrection. It is for this reason due to
His resurrection it is written ‘we live (have the ability to enjoy life in
abundance, if we are His sheep) for He lives’.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You alone are God and there is none like You. In your Righteousness
and Mercy You set sinful man to Hell since nothing corrupt can live in the
presence of your glory in Upper Heavens. You God made a way for man to
escape this prison and return to Heaven when there was no way. A part of
You humbled and became Son of Man, paid the price for our sins, made peace
between You and man, His Spirit leads us unto transformation so that we
become Sons of God and inherit your Kingdom. We thank You Lord for the Way.
We pray that we hold on to this Way by the help of your Spirit and be found
amongst the sheep and not the goats...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
2 Corinthians 13:4 For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he
liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live
with him by the power of God toward you.

1 Corinthians 15:43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is
sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

Philippians 2:7-8
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a
servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became
obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

1 Peter 3:18-21
18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust,
that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but
quickened by the Spirit:
19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God
waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few,
that is, eight souls were saved by water.
21 The like figure whereunto [even] baptism doth also now save us (not the
putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience
toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

Matthew 22:2-13

Keep distance from such people

1 Timothy 6:4, 5 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions
and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil
surmisings, perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of
the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

Being an Apologist I have the ability (skill) and also as a Teacher
(Calling) I have a very sound foundation in my understanding of scriptures,
so am fully able to confront people who question me. But then there are
times I avoid to answer not that I cannot but more so that I do not desire
to fall in their trap of using me for their mischievous intentions.

Today’s scripture talks of people who have no proper foundational
understanding of scriptures yet desire to show they know a lot. They ask
questions just to show people down and to gain limelight. Like Paul says
here they desire strife and are full of envy, evil thoughts, unproductive,
destructive minds, resisters of the truth and disrespectful people. Paul is
not talking of unbelievers here but of Believers and people who preach the
Gospel!

Understand just because a person takes the name of Jesus and preaches the
Gospel is not a person of God. Yesterday we saw how understanding and
goodness have to go hand in hand, if a person is a talker but not a doer
then what the person talks is babble and useless words, they may sound good
but will not bring forth fruit.

Currently I face a brother who keeps doing this with every message I post
on FB. In the start he started praising every message and putting his
comments against my post. When I started correcting his comments, he
started opposing the understanding of my posts. Initially I confronted him
but then found it a waste of time. Many a times I do not understand the
logic his opposition and interestingly nor does he. Having meet on FB he
tried to meet me in person and the Lord kept him away. I prayed to the Lord
if I should totally cut off from him, but then the Lord advised me to just
keep distance, thus I am hoping for change.

Today’s scripture tells us to keep distance from such people. We need to
pray for them hoping they become the Saul who became Paul. They need the
intervention of God in their lives, whatever we do would only make them
harder and worse. If they try to put you down do not react, God will expose
them and deal with them. That does not mean every person who questions you
to understand something should not be answered, what Paul talks of in
today’s message are people who have evil intents for questioning.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord know the thoughts and intentions of man
and are not fooled by the words. Lord we pray we understand the purpose of
people more than hearing their words. Give us the discernment to identify
people Paul mentioned today and to keep distance from such people...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
1 Timothy 1:7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither
what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

1 Timothy 3:6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into
the condemnation of the devil.

Proverbs 26:12 Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? [there is] more
hope of a fool than of him.

Romans 12:16 [Be] of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high
things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own
conceits.

1 Corinthians 3:18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you
seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be
wise.

R.D SOUZA Saved by faith Empty Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Post  Admin on Wed 15 May 2019, 9:53 pm

Serving those in need

Acts 3:5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them..

Today’s message talks of the beggar outside the synagogue asking for alms
from Peter and John. When Peter and John stopped to look at him, he was
anxiously looking at them hoping to receive alms, but we know what
transpired later. The beggar who was crippled by birth was healed and was
able to walk.

We as Christians are called to reach out to the unfortunate in society. We
are called to feed the hungry, quench the thirsty, shelter the homeless,
clothe the naked and care for the orphans and widows. What is important to
understand is by doing this alone we will not qualify to be saved and enter
Heaven but if we do not do this then we may lose our ability to enter
Heaven.

We qualify to enter Heaven by our faith in the truth and enter by the
transformation of the truth in us. The transformation that makes us more
like Christ, so we do what Christ did. Did He feed the hungry? Yes. Did He
reach out to the needy? Yes. Did He dedicate His life to do that? No.

Grace (Hebrew word comes from the root word ‘mercy’ thus means all the
mercy required) cannot be demanded of God but yet can be accessed by faith
in the Truth. Similarly righteousness can be accessed by peace.
Righteousness of man is like rags before God, so if I need the
righteousness of God I need to make peace with the Lord and to make peace I
need to walk in His ways not angering Him. I do not become righteous
because I walk in His ways but are considered righteous because I make
peace Him.

Coming to the sick. We do not see anyone in the Bible making any elaborate
plans of supporting the sick. We as Christians are not called to tend to
the sick, we are called to heal them. To heal them we need to be strong in
faith and till we heal them we are called to support them. If we are having
more of the sick with us then there is a worry factor for us that we are
not strong in faith.

In Matthew 25:31-46 Jesus did not speak about the naturally hungry,
thirsty, naked or homeless but spoke of reaching out to the spiritually
hungry, thirsty, naked or homeless as criteria to enter Heaven. We see in
Acts all the Apostles focused on spiritual matters but did not turn a blind
eye to the naturally needy, they made those spiritually growing to serve in
that area instead of diverting their own focus.

The Will of the Father is that His people are saved and if we do not do His
Will then we do not qualify to be His Sons at the same time we as His sons
(children) need to imitate Him so we are called to be merciful like He is
merciful.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are a Holy, Merciful God who is full of Love but at the same time
You are Truth and Righteous. We who are your children are called to be like
You. We pray Lord that we understand your ways and follow them. We pray we
do not lose our focus of the real important things...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Matthew 25:31-46

Psalms 85:10 Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace
have kissed [each other].

Acts 6:1-7
1 Now in these days, when the number of the disciples was multiplying,
there arose a murmuring of the Grecian Jews against the Hebrews, because
their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.
2 And the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and
said, It is not fit that we should forsake the word of God, and serve
tables.
3 Look ye out therefore, brethren, from among you seven men of good
report, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we may appoint over this
business.
4 But we will continue stedfastly in prayer, and in the ministry of the
word.
5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a
man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, and Philip, and Prochorus, and
Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolaus a proselyte of Antioch;
6 whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid
their hands upon them.
7 And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples
multiplied in Jerusalem exceedingly; and a great company of the priests
were obedient to the faith.

Backsliding can get one disqualified

John 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him,
We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately;
and that night they caught nothing.

We think backsliding means to be evil or very bad but when we study the
Hebrew the word ‘meshuwbah’ it simply means ‘to return’, ‘to turn back’.

Although God loved the Israelites whom He delivered from Egypt and its
other enemies by performing great miracles yet they got consumed all
because they were a backsliding and stiff-necked people. In Psalms 95:8-11
we see the Lord gives up on the Israelites and goes on to swear (vows) that
they would not enter Heaven. It is for this reason that the Disciples of
Jesus were not called Jews (part of earthly Israelites) but were called
Christians.

In today’s message we see Peter who was pulled up by Jesus many a time,
even after doing the grave mistake of denying Him trice, witnessing the
sign of denial (roster crowing) and witnessing the resurrected Jesus yet
after a few days went back to his normal old lifestyle of fishing. He
himself did not take this as a personal decision but was instrument of
leading others also to backslide. The transformation of the Apostles only
happened after their baptism of the Holy Spirit and they being led by the
Holy Spirit.

No Christian can be a Christian unless he or she is baptized in the Holy
Spirit and is led by the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit who transforms
us and takes on the way (Jesus Christ) which leads to Heaven. We may not be
perfect like Jesus but on Judgment Day all those who are still on the
journey would enter Heaven (early Christians were called People of The Way
before they were called Christians).

Backsliding means stepping off the journey and thus getting disqualified
for entering Heaven. One can backsliding as a baby in Christ or can do it
at a very mature level, it does not matter what level one backslides, yet
the person will be disqualified. We cannot always rely on the grace of God
to overcome backsliding, the Israelites who had the grace on them yet were
disqualified and it was because they were disqualified that the followers
of Jesus were not called Jews but were called Christians.

If we are on the spiritual journey called Christianity then we need to look
at our lives and see if there is a change, this change may be small or big
but there has to be a change and this change is not a onetime change but a
continuous process until we sleep in Christ. The day we say it is enough
and go back to being our former selves we may get disqualified to enter
Heaven. It is for this reason Jesus say ‘only those who take their cross
DAILY and follow me’ will have life.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. There is nothing that is impossible to You. You
can crush Satan like a twig yet You have chosen us to be the instruments to
crush his head so that we crush the Satan in us, the evil that he has
induced in us. Lord we pray we understand Christianity is not just a belief
but a journey of transformation which we need to be always on so as to
assured Heaven and it is the Holy Spirit ‘The Helper’ who helps us on this
journey...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Hosea 4:16 For Israel slideth back as a backsliding heifer: now the LORD
will feed them as a lamb in a large place.

Exodus 32:9 And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and,
behold, it [is] a stiffnecked people:

2 Chronicles 36:15-16
15 And the LORD God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers,
rising up betimes, and sending; because he had compassion on his people,
and on his dwelling place:
16 But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and
misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people,
till [there was] no remedy.

Psalms 95:8-11
8 Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, [and] as [in] the day of
temptation in the wilderness:
9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work.
10 Forty years long was I grieved with [this] generation, and said, It
[is] a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:
11 Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.

Luke 9:23-24
23 And he said to [them] all, If any [man] will come after me, let him
deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose
his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

R.D SOUZA Saved by faith Empty Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Post  Admin on Mon 13 May 2019, 5:38 pm

Predestined v/s Free Will (RAG to Prince)

Acts 17:26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on
all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed,
and the bounds of their habitation;

When I came to know the Lord there was this understanding that God being
all knowing and His Word being eternal (start and end given) then whatever
I do would not affect the result in my life. That means since I know God
and have accepted Him then I could go back to my carnal ways and continue
enjoying my fleshy desires and yet expect to go to Heaven!

There was the other extreme if it was not the Hand of God, can I possibly
achieve the conditions required to enter the Kingdom of God (Heaven)? That
I knew was impossible, so I opted to believe the prior thought.

Problem is we define the head and the tails and try to put truth between
these two thoughts.

God did not say He will save man even if man does nothing. He demanded
things of man for Him to save and the first thing is repentance. Without
repentance none can come to the Lord. The second is acceptance of the Lord
Jesus Christ. It is only through repentance and acceptance that we are
baptized in Jesus Christ. But then, it does not stop there. After
repentance and acceptance comes guidance. It is only when we follow the
guidance of the Holy Spirit whom we receive through our baptism in Jesus
Christ that we are confirmed of our entrance to the Kingdom of God.

Jesus said those born of flesh and blood cannot enter the Kingdom of God,
one needs to be born again (born from above) of/by the Spirit to enter His
Kingdom. It is only those who are led by the Spirit become Sons of God and
inheritance is to Sons.

Bible says the God loved the whole world and the message of salvation in
Jesus Christ is for the whole world, yet only those who believe, follow Him
and are transformed in Him will be saved.

The ‘sheep’ who will enter the Kingdom of God are known to God and their
names are already written in the Book of Life but then in the flock that
know God are also the ‘goats’. How is one to know that one is not a ‘goat’
but a ‘sheep’?

It is unless we keep running the race of faith, we continually keep the
lamp burning until the coming of Christ the Bridegroom that we will not be
sure of entering the Kingdom of God. So God does know but we do not know
and we cannot risk assuming the result. That is the reason Paul said to
work out our salvation with fear and trembling even though we do little in
that direction and that little is holding on to Christ and being a vessel
for Him to do His work of gathering the other lost sheep.

It is through RAG (Repentance Acceptance Guidance) we become Israel (Prince
of God / Sons of God) for it is only through RAG we are transformed in
spirit thus become rich in Christ by inheriting His Kingdom.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You are Spirit and You are HOly. Your Kingdom Lord is
not worldly but Spirit and thus we need to be transformed in spirit to
inherit your Kingdom. Lord we pray we understand it is a spiritual battle
that continues till our very breathe and we cannot afford to take the
battle likely. We pray we be alert and always allowing You to work in us
and through us...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
John 1:10-13
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew
him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons
of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the
will of man, but of God.

John 3:3,5
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee,
Except a man be born again [from above], he cannot see the kingdom of God.
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of
water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of
incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as
in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own
salvation with fear and trembling.

1 John 5:1,5,18
1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every
one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the
victory that overcometh the world, [even] our faith.
18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is
begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

His Love Appeared

Titus 3:3,4 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient,
deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy,
hateful, [and] hating one another. But after that the kindness and love of
God our Saviour toward man appeared,

Most Christians when they talk about the love of God they speak of the
sacrifice of Christ on the crucifix.

We have scriptures which speak of Christ becoming a sacrifice from the
foundation of creation and most Christians (almost all) have no idea what
this scripture really means and most think God the Son simply volunteered.

Because of many Catholic doctrines yet continued in the Believer Churches
we have all most all Christians lack the understanding of God the Father,
God the Son, His Spirit and the man Jesus which the Son humbled and came
as.

All came to know God and His love only when they saw it in the man Jesus
and today’s scripture talks of this appearance. Let us ask the Holy Spirit
to reveal to us if the Son gave up His glory in the beginning of creation
and became man only 2000years back then what was He in between? If He was
still Divine God then what glory did He give up and how did He become a
sacrifice that was slain from the foundation of creation? Scripture says
‘Lamb slain from the foundation of the world’ and not ‘would be slain’ or
‘volunteered to be slain’.

Man is driven more by emotions and less by understanding. If we go by
understand scriptures we will know God more and His love shown through His
Son.

On ‘Good Friday’ we see many so called ‘Christians’ mock the sacrifice of
Christ by enacting the crucifixion and actually nailing themselves on
crucifixes. Firstly they lack information of what all happened since they
read / follow only the NT and most details of the Lord’s sacrifice are not
found there but found in the OT. Secondly they do not realize the greater
love existed before but was not visible, what they saw on the crucifix was
a minor part of that love.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You alone are God. You are all knowing and all seeing.
Even before You created the living beings You knew their error and thus
planned for change and overcoming of that darkness. A part of You humbled
yourself and became the driving force for the light to overcome the
darkness. We pray Lord we see your true love beyond the crucifix...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Matthew 13:35 This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet: “I
will open my mouth in parables; I will utter what has been hidden
since the foundation of the world.”

John 17:24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with
me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for
thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation
of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Hebrews 9:26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of
the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put
away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

Revelation 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose
names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the
foundation of the world.

Romans 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able
to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Ephesians 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge,
that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

R.D SOUZA Saved by faith Empty Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Post  Admin on Wed 08 May 2019, 9:59 pm

Did Mary ever know who Jesus was?

Luke 2:18, 19 And all they that heard [it] wondered at those things which
were told them by the shepherds. But Mary kept all these things, and
pondered [them] in her heart.

In today’s scripture we find the shepherds whom the Angels spoke to, had
come, seen the child Jesus still in the manger (wooden box) outside the inn
and as they went they spread the news of what they had experienced. They
were so overcome with what they had experienced that they could not keep it
within themselves. What is interesting is that the very next scripture
starts with the word ‘but’ (Greek word ‘de’) showing in comparison Mary
kept all these thing in her heart and she pondered over them. The Greek
word translated as pondering means to mentally fight over or encounter in a
hostile sense. People misunderstand it to she remembered them but in really
she could not come to term with that what had happened.

If we look at the Bible throughout the NT there is no place wherein Mary
knew who the Lord Jesus Christ really was. Even amongst the Apostles while
Jesus was with them it was only Thomas who acknowledged Him other knew Him
only at Pentecost after their baptism in the Holy Spirit.

There were some very negative incidents with regards to Mary the mother of
Jesus concerning Jesus like she forcing Jesus to do a miracle to overcome
the wine shortage problem at her daughter’s marriage at Cana (she was the
host, coordinating and was there 3 days before the marriage). Then we have
the terrible case of her believing rumors of Jesus having an issue with
evil spirit thus came running with her son to check on him. Lastly we have
she along with other women insisting on doing pagan (Galilean rituals) of
embalming the dead on the third day.

It is a hard fact throughout the NT we have no record of her knowing that
Jesus was the Lord Son of God and yet we find Catholics believing in
approaching her to reach unto Jesus!

The Lord God the Son humbled Himself, became man and a holy eternal
sacrifice; did He fail in His task to save man that we need to approach
Mary who did not know Him? In 500AD during Pope Gregory’s rein over the
Catholic Church the concept of Mary as ‘Mother of God’ became official, so
much so anyone refusing to worship her was put to death. It was the effects
of this dictate that gave birth to Islam.

We have Catholics claiming apparitions (ghost appearance) of Mary not
knowing this same spirit did the same with the Israelites as Queen of
Heaven during the time of Jeremiah and caused them to worship her. When the
baby Jesus was taken on the 8th day as per Jewish law (Law of the Lord) the
prophet Simeon prophesied that after her death (soul) a soul would pierce
her (her name would be misused) so as the reveal the hearts of people.

Mary was a common, devote Jewish young woman whom God chosen because she
was devote and a descendent of David. She was not holier than others or
perfect in any way. God caused the birth through a virgin so that the child
is born without blemish since sin nature and curses flow from father to
children (including that of the mother) and not directly from mother to
children.

Catholics dedicate the month of May to this spirit which comes as Mary the
mother of Jesus and pray to her. God has knowingly allows the worship of
Mary so as to expose the hardness of the hearts of these people who hate
His Word / His Will. Those Catholics who follow others out of ignorance can
be saved by the revelation of the Word, but those who have hardened their
hearts like the Israelites concerning the Queen of Heaven will never
acknowledge the truth even after they are put through problems like the
Israelites were put then in Babylon.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You alone are God. You are Almighty God yet man tries
to picture You as a helpless man. Lord we pray those in the Catholic Church
may be set free from the spirit of the strange woman that deceives them to
believe she is Mary the mother of Jesus. We pray they may be set free from
the great deceit of Satan...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Luke 2:34-3
34 And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this
[child] is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a
sign which shall be spoken against;
35 (Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the
thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.

John 2:1 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and
the mother of Jesus was there:

Mark 3:20-22,29-31
20 And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much
as eat bread.
21 And when his friends heard [of it], they went out to lay hold on him:
for they said, He is beside himself.
22 And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub,
and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.
29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never
forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:
30 Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.
31 There {thus} came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing
without, sent unto him, calling him.

Mark 16:1 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the
[mother] of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might
come and anoint him.

In and out or out and in

Acts 1:21 Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time
that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,

In the Bible not only every word has meaning but even their rendering
(grammar) and order has great importance to disclose the hidden secrets of
God’s Kingdom.

In today’s scripture we read of Peter stating about them witnessing the
Lord Jesus Christ and he uses the OT term went in and out amongst them. One
would think he spoke of the Lord being with them but if we read scriptures
we find a sequence of the order of the word in and out or out and in
depending of coming from the Lord or coming from man.

Let me give an example. The term Priest (means minister of man) means
representative of man towards God, who is appointed to do the works that
man has been instructed by God on the other hand a Man of God (Nabi –
translated as Prophet in OT but includes other Callings) is a
representative of God towards man, he or she does what God has assigned him
or her to do with regards the salvation of mankind.

When it comes to ‘in and out’ it was with regards to receiving from God
(good or bad) and when it came to ‘out an in’ it was with regards to the
output or performance of man.

We see previously in Church when man went out and in Church struggled but
when Christ started going in and out we see the Church started growing and
flourishing. The term Church means ‘selected/group of people on a mission’
and for Church to really function Christ needs to work within the Church so
His coming in and going out is necessary. It means He needs to work in us
and take us out. We need to receive to give.

When one diligently hears the preaching of Preachers in Churches, one
wonders have these people really read the whole Bible, do they have the
basic understanding of the purpose of the Word of God? It is the failure of
Christ not going in and coming out in our Churches that we have doctrines
like Prosperity Gospel, Abundant Grace (grace taken for granted) and Once
Saved Always Saved becoming famous.

Last Sunday I heard a preacher (Pastor) saying God corrected him because he
put his Church before his wife and children. He was not aware Adam sinned
for he put his wife before and listened to her over what the Lord said and
also Paul says family is church, so can one church be greater than another
or can there be two churches? Can one love one’s wife and children more
than Christ loved His people and commanded us to do the same?

Our preaching are getting people in Churches but not getting them to go out
for it is not the Lord who is coming in and going out but our character,
skills and fame that is going out and getting people in.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God, You are Almighty God. You Lord are capable to do all
things in a moment yet You chose man to be a vessel for your glory. Lord we
pray we understand unless we receive we will not be able to give. Lord we
pray we concentrate on receiving from You more than receiving from man, for
You said You will build your Church...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Psalms 121:8 The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from
this time forth, and even for evermore.

Deuteronomy 28:19 Cursed [shalt] thou [be] when thou comest in, and cursed
[shalt] thou [be] when thou goest out.

Deuteronomy 31:2 And he said unto them, I [am] an hundred and twenty years
old this day; I can no more go out and come in: also the LORD hath said
unto me, Thou shalt not go over this Jordan.

Deuteronomy 33:18 And of Zebulun he said, Rejoice, Zebulun, in thy going
out; and, Issachar, in thy tents.

1 Samuel 29:6 Then Achish called David, and said unto him, Surely, [as]
the LORD liveth, thou hast been upright, and thy going out and thy coming
in with me in the host [is] good in my sight: for I have not found evil in
thee since the day of thy coming unto me unto this day: nevertheless the
lords favour thee not.

2 Samuel 3:25 Thou knowest Abner the son of Ner, that he came to deceive
thee, and to know thy going out and thy coming in, and to know all that
thou doest.

Acts 9:27-28
27 But Barnabas took him, and brought [him] to the apostles, and declared
unto them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to
him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.
28 And he was with them coming in and going out at Jerusalem.

Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this
rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail
against it.

Christ the First and the Last!

Revelation 1:17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he
laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and
the last:

The Word of God is accurate and perfect, in the OT it was symbolized by two
stones ‘Thummim’ and ‘Urim’ meaning ‘light’ and ‘perfection’. So whatever
is written is not an exaggeration of facts in any way but an accurate
presentation.

Today’s message says the Son the Lord Jesus Christ is the first and last.
We take this fact very lightly.

We know He was before all but can God die to be last?

What it says He was the first of creation that meant He became His creation
in the start when He humbled Himself. It also says He will be the last.
That means for this possibility to happen creation (man and Angels) do not
exist and for that either creation dies or gets transformed. If the Word of
God is true than we who are promised eternal life have only one option
transformation.

Jesus said in plain words after resurrection we will be transformed in to
Angels having no earthly gender thus neither married nor given in marriage.
He spoke of another transformation that is when we enter Heaven, a
transformation which even the Angels await and which even the learned Jews
could not apprehend in their wildest imagination.

Let us get it into us the sacrifice we make as Christians of overcoming
worldly desires of the flesh and of the mind, here in this lifetime is
nothing to that which the Lord has set for us. Even though I know a little
of it yet it baffles my mind how is it possible!

There is one question I ask people to know if they really know the Lord
Jesus Christ and know God.

In Heaven after Judgment Day, after the Lord Jesus Christ restores us to
God the Father will we see Jesus Christ?

Those who really do not know the Lord Jesus Christ immediately say YES.

Let us understand God and His Son, the mission of the Son and how He
returns to the Father, how ultimately there is only one God.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You alone are God. Your Word says a part of You
humbled Himself and became His creation for the salvation of creation and
after completing His mission He will return to You. Lord we pray we
understand the relation between the Father, the Son, His Spirit and the man
Jesus Christ. Lord we understand the oneness of You and how we too become a
part of You...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Exodus 28:12, 30
12 And thou shalt put the two stones upon the shoulders of the ephod [for]
stones of memorial unto the children of Israel: and Aaron shall bear their
names before the LORD upon his two shoulders for a memorial.
30 And thou shalt put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the
Thummim; and they shall be upon Aaron’s heart, when he goeth in before the
LORD: and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his
heart before the LORD continually.

Deuteronomy 33:8 And of Levi he said, [Let] thy Thummim and thy Urim [be]
with thy holy one, whom thou didst prove at Massah, [and with] whom thou
didst strive at the waters of Meribah;
1 Samuel 28:6 And when Saul enquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him
not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.

Matthew 22:29-30
29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the
scriptures, nor the power of God.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage,
but are as the angels of God in heaven.

Revelation 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto
me, See [thou do it] not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that
have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the
spirit of prophecy.

John 10:34-35
34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the
scripture cannot be broken;

Revelation 21:22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty
and the Lamb are the temple of it.

John 13:3 Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his
hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;

John 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the
glory which I had with thee before the world was.

The Great Shepherd

Hebrew 13:20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our
Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the
everlasting covenant,

In these past few days we have been getting hard truths which personally I
would avoid in general and speak only to a select few.

Today’s message talks of two persons one who is called the God of Peace,
one who bought Jesus from (Hell) dead and who is the true Great Shepherd.
We find Jesus Christ is not that person for He as man is called Prince of
Peace not God or King of Peace, He is called our Shepherd yet not the Great
Shepherd, He is the Lamb of God, the willing sacrifice for our sins yet the
sacrifice was made by the Father.

Jesus as man did lead His disciples for the 3+ years of ministry but after
He resurrected He did choose to continue to lead them but handed them over
to His Spirit, who was the one to reveal all that He taught them as man. So
as man what He taught was not really understood by His disciple, they only
understood when they were baptized and led by the Holy Spirit.

If we read Isaiah 9:6 we find a mix of attributes given to the child
(Jesus) which in NT were given to the Holy Spirit, like Counsellor, Father,
Mighty God.

The Son came from the Father, it is the Spirit of the Son and the Lord
Jesus Christ who work through amongst man for his salvation. The Lord Jesus
Christ as man never glorified Himself, He glorified the Father in Heaven
and the Holy Spirit (Spirit of the Son). Being man He never found it worthy
to glorify Himself, yet we who are nothing compared to Jesus seek
self-glory, just think how foolish we behave.

Today the Lord is telling us do not get stuck at the man Jesus Christ, let
us seek His Name which is lifted above all and His Spirit by whom alone all
is possible. The man Jesus Christ is our cornerstone whom we see and align
to, but the Potter, the Great Shepherd and the Power that made it possible
for the man Jesus to rise from Hell is His Spirit - the Holy Spirit. It was
by the power of the Holy Spirit that the man Jesus Christ was kept without
blemish from birth to death so that Hell could not sustain Him, thus He
resurrected (rose) and breaks the curse of Hell in the lives of all those
who believe in Him. Yet more important fact is that the man Lord Jesus
Christ paid the price on the cross to makes peace between God and man, so
that we receive His Spirit who can transform us so as to enter Heaven and
receive eternal life in Him.

Let us know the importance of His Spirit and follow the Great Shepherd.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You are Spirit. The Son a part of You humbled Himself.
His Spirit and He leads us that by the Name of the Father that is in the
Son that birth in us and thus allow to be restored to Heaven and eternal
life. We pray we know the importance of the Holy Spirit so that we have
fellowship with Him and be led to become Sons of God...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen

[Reference Scriptures]
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the
government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called
Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince
of Peace.

1 John 4:14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son
[to be] the Saviour of the world.

Zechariah 6:12-13
12 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying,
Behold the man whose name [is] The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his
place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD:
13 Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the
glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest
upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.

John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide
you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he
shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons
of God.

Galatians 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of
his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

Being One through the Name

1 Corinthians 1: 10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by {through} the name of
our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and [that] there
be no divisions among you; but [that] ye be perfectly joined together in
the same mind and in the same judgment.

Being united is a power which not only God knows about but also the Devil
does. Jesus said ‘if Satan cast of Satan and he is divided against himself,
how shall his kingdom stand?’

Even after the floods of Noah people did not acknowledge God and since they
spoke the same language and were of one understanding, they got together
and built a monument (tower) against God. It was not the height of the
tower that troubled the Lord but the purpose of the tower. The tower was a
united temple of all their deities (it had a female deity as chief amongst
them) and this troubled God. God did not fear them but feared His people
would not survive against a united enemy thus He cause confusion amongst
them and hence came various languages and religions. The wall of Jericho
also was a similar case for the city had two outer walls and between them
were temples of all various religions (including Judaism). Jericho was a
city of the ultra-rich and it was in this space beggars and outcaste
dwelled.

Even today time and again Satan (a plural term) tries to bring all
religions together under one understanding basically to destroy God’s
people and the prime religion behind bringing them together is the Catholic
Church, which Bible says is the seat of the Beast (Satan - Prince of Tyrus)..

In today’s message Paul pleads the people to come together as one, in one
mind, one understanding, one purpose, speaking the same thing and to do
this he says they need to do it through (the Greek word ‘dia’ is
mistranslated here as ‘by’) the Name (Nature) of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Man cannot become one unless they come under a name, it may be the name of
the Lord or name of Satan, to become one they need a name.

We fail to become one for we are trying by our efforts and not coming under
the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. If we do not come under the name of the
Lord Jesus Christ we run the danger of coming under the name of Satan.
Between light and darkness there is no other place, those who are lukewarm
are the first victims of the wrath of God.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and there is none other than You. You are light and light
existed from the beginning. Ever since darkness came into existence it
tries to spread itself so as to consume your creation. Satan does not want
us to be one thus induces confusion amongst your people. Lord we pray we
understand to become one and overcome darkness we need to come under your
Name. It is only when we put on your Name (Nature) that we will speak the
same thing, have the same mind and understanding...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Matthew 12:25-26
25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom
divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house
divided against itself shall not stand:
26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall
then his kingdom stand?

Genesis 11:1-9

Revelation 2:13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, [even] where
Satan’s seat [is]: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my
faith, even in those days wherein Antipas [was] my faithful martyr, who was
slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.

Revelation 14:7-11
7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour
of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and
the sea, and the fountains of waters.
8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen,
that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the
wrath of her fornication.
9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man
worship the beast and his image, and receive [his] mark in his forehead, or
in his hand,
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured
out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be
tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and
in the presence of the Lamb:
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they
have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and
whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Not a Friend in Jesus

John 15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not
what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I
have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

Amongst those simple things which got me to re-understand the Bible in a
total new way were things like understanding spirit-man (inner-man), the
term ‘spirit’ and also the term ‘friend’. These terms are regular used
terms but we rarely try to understand them in its true depth.

The understanding of inner-man helps in understanding the battle ground
where our spiritual battle happens. The understanding of the term spirit
helps understand Heaven, its created beings (including us) and God Himself.
The understanding of term friend helps in understanding our relationship
with God and with our brethren.

I had mentioned before when the Lord was teaching me about the term friend
I witnessed some of the most gruesome events one after another in a short
time of a few days. When I asked the Lord why I was seeing these it was
then He opened scriptures and made me understand the term ‘friend’.

We need to get it into us a friend a relationship between two unrelated
persons. It is a relationship between two persons who get alone with each
other based on conditions or situations favorable between them. Friendships
can be very strong and at times confused as better than other
relationships. If one observes the world social media keeps pushing this
relationship down our throat. We have ‘friendship day’ and in social
networks we ‘befriend’ / ‘unfriend’ people.

Bible on the contrary tells us Believers (God’s people) are called not to
be friends but be family. Friendship can be broken but family cannot. We
can choose a friend but family is God chosen. Bible does not talk of just
natural family but also of our spiritual family.

There are many Hebrew and Greek words which are mistranslated into friend
to push this worldly relationship i.e. God calling Abraham His ‘friend’,
even though the Hebrew word is love / lover. It is due to this relationship
between God and Abraham that we the seed to Abraham become His Bride. So
calling God a friend or Abraham as God’s friend would be denying the
Bridegroom and Heaven / Salvation itself. Out of ignorance we may be
pardoned by God but then when God brings it to light and we still continue
then what excuse do we have.

Even today’s message we find Jesus use the term ‘friend’ - Greek word Philo
which has other meanings like associate. When we look at the context of the
topic we find Jesus telling us about His Father’s business. Business
secrets are shared between associates and family but not friends. We may
trust some for some secrets but we will not tell everything like we do with
our associate or family.

It is only when we understand the business term associate we will
understand John 15:1-15 better, how we are called to work in the Lord’s
Kingdom and how we being kings yet have a King (Prince of Kings) over us.
How we have dominance over this world by being in Him. How we gather for
ourselves treasures in Heaven while we carry the Cross of Christ.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God, You commanded us to call You Father for You are our
creator, protector and provider. You also called us to be brethren of each
other, being one family. Lord we pray we understand our relationship with
You and also with each other so that we do not lose the spiritual things
You have set for us...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Isaiah 41:8 But thou, Israel, [art] my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen,
the seed of Abraham my friend {ahab – lover}.

2 Chronicles 20:7 [Art] not thou our God, [who] didst drive out the
inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the
seed of Abraham thy friend {ahab – lover} for ever?

James 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed
God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the
Friend {Philo - associate} of God.

Revelation 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, [who is] the faithful witness, [and]
the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth.
Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

2 Thessalonians 2:13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you,
brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen
you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the
truth:

1 Timothy 6:2 And they that have believing masters, let them not despise
[them], because they are brethren; but rather do [them] service, because
they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach
and exhort.

Revelation 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto
me, See [thou do it] not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that
have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the
spirit of prophecy.

Being enriched by Him

1 Corinthians 1:5 That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all
utterance [degree], and [in] all knowledge;

Today’s message talks of the Lord enriching us and it specifies what kind
of things, things which are not worldly but spiritual. What is very
interesting fact to note, the verb ‘are’ is not in the present continuous
tense but in Greek Aorist tense, which is past, present and future
together.

We tend to ignore the fact that even before we came to know the Lord and
acknowledged Him, there were times when He gave supernaturally knowledge
and understanding, which we ourselves were incompetent to create or hold as
in receive from others.

Personally I remember a day as a Catholic (before becoming a Believer about
18-20 years back) I was in a room surrounded by at least 15-18 Jehovah
Witnesses, that too not just locals from Mumbai but from other parts of
India and some from their international HO. They were very senior people
who had come to meet me for I was helping them find land to build a press
(thank God the deal did not go through). They were trying to convince me to
become a Jehovah’s Witness. Even though I knew little of them (thought they
were another Christian sect) and had not even read the Bible fully, yet the
Lord filled me with confidence and knowledge of scriptures that even after
4 hours they did not break an mm of ground with me. They got fed up with me
and gave up.

In another situation (my first debate and I had not yet attended or seen
Biblical debates - I was a Believer then but had no knowledge of
Apologetics) I was called to meet (debate) some people from World Mission
Society Church of God who were going around in that area brainwashing
people. Here too even though I had no prior knowledge of them or their
belief system yet when I finished (it was a 6-7 hours session), the person
who organized this meet told me I have literally covered all the areas they
take up. Later I was told most amongst them (5 out of the 6) who came, left
that organization.

Let us not be alarmed at any situation. Let us remember even before the
Israelites crossed the Red Sea (Reed / Weed Sea) which symbolized their
baptism in the Lord, they were guided and protected by the pillar of cloud
/ fire which symbolized the Holy Spirit.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God. Your Word says You knew us even before we were born in
our mother’s womb. Although You had knew we would choose You yet You did
not influence our choice but let us make it by our free will. Your love
Lord is measured not by the suffering on the cross but by the fact You
loved us even before we knew You...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Exodus 13:21 And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud,
to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light;
to go by day and night:

Galatians 1:15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s

Use and Misuse of the Law

1 Timothy 1: 8 But we know that the law [is] good, if a man use it
lawfully;

Just because someone quotes the Bible or studies the Word of God does not
give them a clean chit as being Christian or ‘holy’. Understand both Angels
and devils are spirit beings so anyone claiming to live a spiritual life
does not necessary mean they are behaving like the Angels of God. There are
people who claim to follow the Bible and thus call them saintly people even
though they do contrary to what God commanded in the Bible, the reason is
that they interpret scriptures to suite their carnal desires.

In the Bible it was not just the Men of God who quoted scriptures, but also
devils (Satan) quoted scriptures; the difference between the two is the
latter twisted them for their purpose and not according the Lord’s purpose.

Today’s message tells us about the importance of use of the Law, it tells
us not to just study scriptures but more so understand their purpose and
mission. It is sad a large part of the Christian Church fail here.

It is important to note on Judgment Day the Lord’s flock will stand before
the Judgment Seat and the sheep will be separated from the goats. The sheep
will enter Heaven and the goats will experience the punishment set forth
for the fallen angels. What is more important to note to note is that it is
not by coincidence that Satan is called a hairy goat / ‘she goat’ (mother
goat) in Hebrew in the OT.

Satan worshipers worship an image they call Baphomet (semi human - semi
goat). They do not realize it symbolizes a disobedient person who knows God
and His Word (to disobey one needs to know what not to obey). They are
worshipping ‘Christians’ who fail to be true Christians - those who misuse
the Law of God / Word of God to gratify their carnal desires.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You are Light. Your Word is light and life for it
created life, by it life is renewed and saved. Darkness came because light
was resisted. Lord we pray we understand the purpose of your Word more and
more so that we are not deceived in to becoming goats and children of
Satan...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
2 Corinthians 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into
an angel of light.

Leviticus 17:7 And they shall no more offer their sacrifices unto devils
(hairy goat), after whom they have gone a whoring. This shall be a statute
for ever unto them throughout their generations.

2 Chronicles 11:15 And he ordained him priests for the high places, and
for the devils (hairy goat), and for the calves which he had made.

Ephesians 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of
this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit
that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

The First and Second Joseph

Acts 2:13 And at the second [time] Joseph was made known to his brethren;
and Joseph’s kindred was made known unto Pharaoh.

In today’s message it looks like a grammatical error when Peter refers to
the incident concerning Joseph the son of Jacob; Peter seems to have missed
the word ‘time’ when he refers to Joseph who had prospered and became the
prime minister of Egypt - key person after the king. But in the NT we do
not see elsewhere this kind of error, for it was intentional and not an
error.

The story of Joseph is a hard truth which in my many years of teaching
ministry never had the opportunity to speak of it in detail. The Holy
Spirit did not allow me to speak much on it even though by human wisdom it
was the most important topic to be preached in Churches. The time (hearts
of men) were not set to hear it, today the Lord want me to just touch on it..

The twelve tribes of Israel that entered the promised land were Reuben,
Simeon, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, Benjamin, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher,
Ephraim and Manasseh, of these even though Levi entered they were not
counted amongst the twelve. We also see Joseph was substituted by his two
sons Manasseh and Ephraim.

The twelve Apostles of Jesus were key to the Lord’s ministry and were hand
chosen, yet we see Judas was counted as failed and lost. The twelve were
not significant in the earthly ministry after Jesus’ death for Paul who was
most effective was not counted amongst the twelve, nor was he called the
thirteenth.

In Revelations we find both the twelve tribes and the twelve Apostles are
key (symbolically) in Heaven, for the twelve tribes were represented by the
twelve precious stones on the breastplate of the High Priest and
foundations of Heaven are (symbolically) made of the same also the twelve
gates and twelve Angels (symbolically) represent the twelve tribes of
Israel. Coming to the twelve Apostles we find Heaven has twelve pillars /
foundations on which it is founded and they represent the twelve Apostles.
In truth both of them symbolically represent the twelve Fruits of the Tree
of Life, they are the twelve Fruits of the Holy Spirit (9 in Galatians
5:22-23 and 3 in Ephesians 5:9).

The story of Joseph from rags to fame and riches, to only bones being
carried to the Promised Land is the story of the first and second Joseph
and a hard story against Prosperity Gospel that needs to be told in
Churches so that Christians get hatched from the eggs (shell of lies) they
are now dwell in. It is a story which emphasis on the importance to
overcome this world, its understanding and its desires.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You are Spirit and Your Kingdom is not of this
world. You Lord, desire man to overcome this world, its desires, its riches
and its pleasures. Lord we pray we understand the dangers of being trapped
in understanding of this world. Let your which is like double edged sword
pierce and separate the bone from the marrow and lead us to the Truth that
sets us free...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Mark 14:72 And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the
word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny
me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.

John 21:16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, [son] of Jonas,
lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love
thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

Acts 10:15 And the voice [spake] unto him again the second time, What God
hath cleansed, [that] call not thou common.

Matthew 26:44 And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third
time, saying the same words.

Genesis 50:25 And Joseph took an oath of the children of Israel, saying,
God will surely visit you, and ye shall carry up my bones from hence.

Acts 1:20-26

Revelation 21:12 And had a wall great and high, [and] had twelve gates,
and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are [the
names] of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:

Revelation 21:14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in
them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

Revelation 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of
the river, [was there] the tree of life, which bare twelve [manner of]
fruits, [and] yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree
[were] for the healing of the nations.

Bodily Resurrection

John 21: 1 After these things Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples
at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed he [himself].

Yesterday being Resurrection Sunday many must have heard preaching’s that
since Jesus resurrected in the body so we too will resurrect in body. Then
they go on to state we will receive are renewed body (perfect body) even
though Jesus resurrected bodily with the nail wounds in His hands till
there (I ask such people what age would our body be? What will be the body
age of our fathers and grandfathers be? Note Jesus did not resurrect as a
teenager.).

This is the problem with most preachers hearing what other preachers say,
not studying the Bible and saying what it says.

Acts clearly (stating OT) says Jesus is the only person who resurrected in
His earthly body (that is why His body was not found) because His earthly
body did not see corruption (sin and curse/sicknesses). If we state we will
resurrect in our earthly bodies then we are firstly stating we did not ever
sin nor did our earthly fathers (parents) and we were like Jesus born of a
virgin or made like Adam directly of dust (if they talk of forgiveness than
they do not understand sin/corruption; forgiveness is taking away the
consequence of sin, not undoing what it did).

The second condition is that our natural bodies need to be preserved (even
in mutilated state) for us to resurrect in our old bodies. If our bodies
perish then how can we rise in the same body? At an average an adult body
takes 8 to 40 years to completely decompose to its skeleton (this depends
if placed in a coffin and the type of wood used to make it).

The concept of Christians burying in coffins started with this
misunderstanding of bodily resurrection. Biblically the body needs to be
simply wrapped in a cloth and buried.

The Greek word ‘anastasis’ (root ‘anistemi’) translated as resurrection
means to rise (move a level higher) the root word is used as in sleeping
person sits or siting person stands.

When a person dies their spirit being (spirit and soul) goes to a level
called Grave (sleep in the Lord) or go to Hell (spiritual prison) depending
on their knowing the Lord (only after Judgment Day one get a chance to go
to Heaven). Only those who sleep in the Lord can be raised to life (in
their old body) not those who have gone to Hell. Those who sleep can also
come up in spirit form like Samuel (in OT), Moses and Elijah (in NT) did.
Man in flesh is forbidden to communicate with them or bring them up (Jesus
had to transfigure / take spirit form so as to communicate with Moses and
Elijah, He did this not because He had something important to discuss with
them but to show us He had overcome and could transfigure).

Those who study particle physics or have any idea of it know matter can
transform to energy and energy to matter (called ‘pair production’). A
spirit being like an Angel can take physical form (they come only as humans
and not as animals). Jesus said after Judgment Day we will become like the
Angels and thus do not need our bodies, also Heaven is not an earthly or
natural place (gold and gems are symbolic), it is a spirit place.

Let us not put our minds and understanding in coffins like we do to the
dead. Let us understand God, His Kingdom and what His plans are for us. The
Resurrection Power the set Jesus free from Hell did not work after He died
but while He was alive. Let us tap into that Resurrection Power (Holy
Spirit) today and not wait until we die for then it would be too late.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God, You are Spirit. Your Kingdom is not of this world but
spirit world. Near to You is light / life and far from You is darkness /
death. Lord we pray we understand life / spirit and how it is more real
than this natural world and worldly things. Let us tap into your
Resurrection Power today and wait until it is too late...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Acts 13:33-37
33 God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath
raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art
my Son, this day have I begotten thee.
34 And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, [now] no more to
return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure
mercies of David.
35 Wherefore he saith also in another [psalm], Thou shalt not suffer thine
Holy One to see corruption.
36 For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God,
fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:
37 But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.

Matthew 22:29-30
29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the
scriptures, nor the power of God.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage,
but are as the angels of God in heaven.

Hebrews 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels
for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the
grace of God should taste death for every man.

Hebrews 12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the
living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

Hebrews 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some
have entertained angels unawares.

John 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom
were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be
delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

His did all in perfect time

John 11: 54 Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews; but went
thence unto a country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim,
and there continued with his disciples.

Bible shows the birth (first coming) of Jesus was on a perfect time and
that is how not just the Prophet Simeon and Prophetess Anna but even the
wise-men (Magos - learned men of the Babylonian Daniel system, who came
from Asian countries like India) could identify His coming.

His death and resurrection was also done in perfect timing. Bible says He
went to Hell (a spiritual prison) after His death since He was forsaken by
the Father for He took our sins on Himself (when placing the crown man laid
hands on His head) but since there was no sin in Him, He could be kept in
Hell and thus resurrected and broke the curse of Hell for all those who
believe in Him (God cursed the spirit man to dust after Adman sinned).
Bible says He did not resurrect on the same day nor after 3 days but after
2 and half days. Hell is not a natural place or a place on earth to have
earthly days / time, yet He resurrected as per earthly promised time as
explained in Daniel (time, time and half) showing when He will come again.
He did not resurrect after 3 days showing us the sign of Jonah, sparing us
from wickedness. His coming again day is known by His resurrection on the
third day, but not the hour.

Today’s message shows Jesus avoided the Jews when He came to know they
plotted to kill Him, not because He feared death but because He had a time,
way and purpose for His death.

Let us acknowledge our perfect God who does all things in its perfect time
and let us also be like Him doing things in its time, not according to our
desires but according to His – who is perfect.

[Prayer Starter]
Father God You are Holy God. You alone are perfect and in your Will we find
perfection. We pray Lord not our will or our desires be done but your Will
and your desires be fulfilled in us...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Luke 2:25-38

Matthew 8:29 And behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with
thee, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?

Matthew 26:18 And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto
him, The Teacher saith, My time is at hand; I keep the passover at thy
house with my disciples.

Daniel 12:6-9
6 And [one] said to the man clothed in linen, which [was] upon the waters
of the river, How long [shall it be to] the end of these wonders?
7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which [was] upon the waters of the
river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and
sware by him that liveth for ever that [it shall be] for a time, times, and
an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the
holy people, all these [things] shall be finished.
8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what [shall
be] the end of these [things]?
9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words [are] closed up and
sealed till the time of the end.

Luke 12:38-40
38 And if he shall come in the second watch, and if in the third, and find
[them] so, blessed are those [servants].
39 But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what hour
the thief was coming, he would have watched, and not have left his house to
be broken through.
40 Be ye also ready: for in an hour that ye think not the Son of man
cometh.

R.D SOUZA Saved by faith Elaine14
The axe is laid unto the root of the trees

Matthew 3:10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees:
therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and
cast into the fire.

Today’s message talks of the axe being laid to the root of the trees. Who
are the trees?

In Isaiah 40:6-7 the Word of God says all mankind are like grass and the
good they do is like flowers of these category plants (grass) which look
good and fade away not bearing fruit. When the time comes the grass is cut
and it withers away.

Isaiah 37:27 goes on to state there are 3 categories of grasses those of
the field, those like shrubs and those that grow on rooftops. The
difference between a normal grass and shrub is that normal grass has one
stub while shrubs has many, even though the shrub is one yet it looks many.
Psalms 92:7 talks of the wicked like shrubs that flourish. Psalms 129:4-7
on the other hand says those who come against the people of God are like
grass on rooftops which are cut or are consumed even before they see their
age. It is these rooftop grass that Jesus spoke of being burnt.

Those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ are like trees and not grass.
Note the axe (of Judgment) is not placed to root of the grass but placed on
the root of the trees. It says those trees that do not bear fruit will be
cut and cast into the fire, but the fruit bearing trees will not be harmed.

In Revelation 9:4 the period of anguish between Rapture and Judgment Day,
it says the grass is spared and so also the fruit bearing trees but those
trees which do not bear fruit will see suffering. Jesus warned either be
warm or be cold but those who are lukewarm will be spit out.

Today in the ‘holy week’ we stand between the death and resurrection of
Jesus Christ. The Lord is telling us as we know of His resurrection
tomorrow let us also acknowledge His Judgment. He who has died and
resurrected thus qualified to sit on the Judgment Seat will judge the
trees. Let us not be those trees that do not bear fruit for they will face
more suffering that the grass.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God Almighty. You Lord sacrificed much for the salvation of
mankind. The suffering that we see through your crucifixion is not even a
fraction of the suffering You went through for mankind. Bible says You
became a sacrifice from the foundation of creation and died for us while we
were yet sinners. We pray Lord we bear fruit with the help of the Holy
Spirit so that we see eternal life...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Isaiah 40:6-7
6 The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh [is]
grass, and all the goodliness thereof [is] as the flower of the field:
7 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD
bloweth upon it: surely the people [is] grass.

Isaiah 37:27 Therefore their inhabitants [were] of small power, they were
dismayed and confounded: they were [as] the grass of the field, and [as]
the green herb, [as] the grass on the housetops, and [as corn] blasted
before it be grown up.

Psalms 90:3-6, Psalms 103:15-16

Psalms 92:7 When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers
of iniquity do flourish; [it is] that they shall be destroyed for ever:

Psalms 129:4-7
4 The LORD [is] righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.
5 Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.
6 Let them be as the grass [upon] the housetops, which withereth afore it
groweth up:
7 Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves
his bosom.

Matthew 6:30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to
day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, [shall he] not much more
[clothe] you, O ye of little faith?

Revelation 9:4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the
grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only
those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.

of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Grace not Graciously

Acts 5:9 Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together
to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried
thy husband [are] at the door, and shall carry thee out.

Christians talk of the grace of God and do many errors in their lives yet
get scout free because of God’s grace. If one notes their spiritual lives,
it is mostly low and stagnant. Ask this to those who are spiritually
maturing and they will not take the grace of God for granted. As one grows
in spirit the grace of God does not reduce but moves to another level and
the person is expected to be strong in those areas where the grace was
before.

David who was called as ‘one having the heart of God’ when he made mistakes
he was not spared but pulled up, we see as time passed the consequences of
his mistakes were more serious. This we will understand with his psalms
which project his spiritual growth.

In today’s scripture we see the couple Ananias and his wife Sapphira saw
instant judgment of the Lord not because of the crime they committed was
very grave. The reason why they were judged can sent shockwaves of terror
in the hearts of every Christian.

One needs to understand that all sins big or small is a sin so breaking any
Commandment is the same, i.e. killing or lying before the eyes of God is
the same. Jesus summarized all into two (and then merged both into one)
because they interconnect.

As we grow in the Lord indeed things are better but also judgment is
swifter, so let us not take God and His grace for granted.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God who is Merciful and Long-suffering (slow to
anger). Lord we pray we get it into us that we do not take You and your
grace for granted. We pray the fear of You be always be before us when we
step out of love that keeps us in You. We pray we remain in your Word thus
remain in your grace always...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Romans 11: 22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them
which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in [his]
goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

2 Samuel 8-12

Acts 5:11-12
11 And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard
these things.
12 And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought
among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s porch.
