R.D SOUZA Saved by faith Empty Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Is Jesus with you or is Christ with you?

John 6: 22 The day following, when the people which stood on the other
side of the sea saw that there was none other boat there, save that one
whereinto his disciples were entered, and that Jesus went not with his
disciples into the boat, but [that] his disciples were gone away alone;

When I was small and was a Catholic, not knowing Christ and the truth,
whenever I was in a difficult situation the first thing I would do, like
most Catholics, is take the sign of the cross. Catholics including
Christians are known to put the sign of the cross on exam papers, so
nowadays in Indian one finds even Hindus following this trend so put OM
symbol. People think it is ‘lucky’ or God’s/gods’ favor will fall on them
when they draw religious symbols!

When we come to know the truth we know writing / tattooing names or
religious symbols is not going to get us any brownie points with God but
may in fact work the other direction for it shows we do not know Him.

Idolizing any human even if it from the Bible is like idol worship and can
cause us to fall on the wrong side with God. I remember one day I shared on
the weakness of the Apostles like Paul and some of the brothers who were
close to me came to the state of almost hating me. When I say any human it
does not mean those who have sinned but even the man Jesus forbid people
from worshiping Him as a human. He went on to the extent to rebuke the man
who called Him ‘holy’ (perfect - translated as ‘good’) and said only God
(the Father) is perfect.

As Christians we worship the Lord Jesus Christ who is God and part of (one
with) God, we do not worship the man Jesus nor any Angels. We lift up the
Name of Jesus meaning His nature, who He is, and not the English word
‘Jesus’ or what He is called in various languages (including Hebrew or
Greek).

Jesus as man even after His resurrection left us so that we associate with
His Spirit and succeed in our purpose in Him. Take the fact He as man
taught His core disciples for almost 3 years but they understood nothing
much, it was only after they were led by His Spirit that within days they
were a transformed lot.

The term ‘Christ’ includes the Spirit of the Son / Holy Spirit who came
from the Father. If we are followers of Jesus and not of Christ then we
fail as Christians and become a cult like Jehovah’s Witnesses who do not
know who ‘Jehovah’ is and still claim to be His ‘witnesses’.

Today’s message is not milk but solid meat, so not easy to digest. It took
almost a year to come to its true acceptance. Unless we do not break these
bonds on idolizing people we will not be people truly led by the Spirit of
God and will not mature to become true Sons of God.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God and You alone are God, there is none other than
You. You alone are Holy and thus are worshipped by all the beings in Heaven
by shouts of Holy, Holy, Holy. Lord we pray we overcome the flesh and
understand the corruption of the flesh. We pray we understand even though
You Lord Jesus were without blemish as man yet You objected to be
worshipped for You humbled yourself giving up your glory. We know we will
once again worship You as part of the Father when You return to Him gaining
back your glory which You had before this world was...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Luke 4:6-8
6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the
glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I
give it.
7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.
8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it
is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou
serve.

Mark 10:18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? [there is]
none good but one, [that is], God.

Revelation 22:8-13
8 And I John saw these things, and heard [them]. And when I had heard and
seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me
these things.
9 Then saith he unto me, See [thou do it] not: for I am thy fellowservant,
and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of
this book: worship God.
10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this
book: for the time is at hand.
11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let
him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still:
and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward [is] with me, to give every
man according as his work shall be.
13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last..

Philippians 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself,
and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

John 17: 5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the
glory which I had with thee before the world was.

Hosanna to the King of Israel and the Lord of Lords
John 12:13 Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and
cried, Hosanna: Blessed [is] the King of Israel that cometh in the name of
the Lord.

Studying of the Greek and Hebrew words (with its grammar) helps give us the
right interpretation of scriptures. Referring to Strong numbers and its
meaning is okay in the start but should be discontinued over a period of
time since it is not very accurate, it errs on grammar and many a times
takes two conjugated words are two different words, giving different
meaning to them. Strong also does not help in understanding compound words
so as to give the proper understanding and at time only gives part meaning.

If we take the word ‘Hosanna’ it is a compound word ‘Savior/Deliverer’ +
‘Please/Pray/Exhort’ so the word talks of exhorting the savior. Even the
word ‘Israel’ is a compound word and means ‘Prince’ + ‘Almighty’, so the
word means ‘Prince having power with God’. So when we use the term ‘King of
Israel’ it means Chief amongst kings/prince and this term is used for
Christ in 1 Timothy 6:15 and is translated as ‘King of Kings’.

Initially when I read the King of Kings I though the second ‘kings’
referred to worldly rulers but later realized it referred to us who are in
Christ, to whom the Lord had given the dominance over this creation, which
we lost due to corruption by sin and which Christ restores in us through
His Spirit - the Holy Spirit. So we become kings again only when the
corruption is removed through restoration of the image by the working of
the Holy Spirit and Romans 8:14 says those led by the Holy Spirit become
Sons of God. We also need to note He as ‘Son of Man’ is chief of the
Shepherds, He also sits on throne and leads the Angels/Saints on Judgment
Day as chief on them. Matthew 22:30 says we will be Angels when we
resurrect.

If we look at all these scriptures together then we see Christ is called
King of Israel, King/Chief of Kings, Chief of Sons of God, Chief of Angels,
Chief of Shepherds so that makes us the Israel, kings, Sons of God, Angels
and Shepherds.

Also 2 days back we had a scripture in which Jesus Christ is stating we
will be ‘gods’ {meaning ‘divine beings’} when we are renewed and become one
with the God the Father in Heaven so the Lord of Lords does not mean He is
greater than other worldly gods since they do not exist, it speaks of He
being Lord of us.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You God and You alone are God. You are Almighty and there is no one
like You. Lord we pray we know You and know who we are in You. We pray we
understand your purpose in creating us and what it means to be one with
You. We pray we overcome these little problems and difficulties that
trouble us and keep our eyes on to the great plan You have for us...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
1 Timothy 6:15 Which in his times he shall shew, [who is] the blessed and
only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons
of God.

John 5:27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because
he is the Son of man.

1 Peter 5:4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a
crown of glory that fadeth not away.

Matthew 22: 30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given
in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

1 Thessalonians 3:13 To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in
holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus
Christ with all his saints.

Revelation 19:16 And he hath on [his] vesture and on his thigh a name
written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

John 10:35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the
scripture cannot be broken;

Feeding Solid Meat

John 21:17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest
thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest
thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest
that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

In my previous message on this scripture I pointed out how Jesus gave
instructions on how to disciple His people. In this scripture Jesus spoke
of feeding the sheep (teaching the Word) unlike the previous two verses he
spoke of feeding the lambs (giving the Gospel) and supporting the people
while the Lord starts speaking unto them.

People do not like spiritual solid meat of the Word, they love to hear the
Gospel which is like the trailer of the Word. People who dedicate
themselves to the NT do not realize leaving for 1 book (Gospel of John)
almost all the books in the NT connect to the OT (including the book of
Revelation). The fact that many Christian think they should restrict
themselves to NT keeping aside the OT shows how little they know of the NT.

Basic understanding of the Bible and how to study it, is lacking in our
Churches. People love to follow intellectuals who have knowledge but no
understanding of scriptures like the Jews did. We all behave like Peter who
failed to understand why Jesus asked him the third time ‘do you love me?’
failing to understand that the lord was not questioning his loyalty but
giving him important instructions.

Some weeks back I interacted with a Pastor in whom I saw a spark of seeking
true deeper understanding of scriptures, I started send my daily messages.
In the start he loved it but after he read my last message on this topic of
disciplining people in Christ, he stopped reading my messages.

What I send through these morning messages are not solid food but still
baby food that has some small amounts of solid food, so those who have
teeth coming, may chew on it and those who do not, can swallow it and yet
not get chowed.

It is truly a sad state when we see the scriptural understanding of not
just normal Christians but even the leaders. I interact with many including
some at international level, initially I get fascinated to fellowship with
them, but when one finds their actual level of understanding it is
saddening. Some even say something, but practice something else, their
preaching has nothing to do with real life.

We truly need to pray for especially those who lead others in the Lord. If
there is not revival amongst them then how can there be revival in the
Church? We need someone like the Prophet Joel today to speak to the leaders..

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are God of progress and prosperity in
all things. We pray Lord your people do not seek prosperity that is of this
world and set aside that of your Kingdom. We pray You heal the hearts and
minds of those whom You have called to be shepherds of your sheep...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Joel 3:4-8
4 Yea, and what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the
coasts of Palestine? will ye render me a recompence? and if ye recompense
me, swiftly [and] speedily will I return your recompence upon your own head;
5 Because ye have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried into your
temples my goodly pleasant things:
6 The children also of Judah and the children of Jerusalem have ye sold
unto the Grecians, that ye might remove them far from their border.
7 Behold, I will raise them out of the place whither ye have sold them,
and will return your recompence upon your own head:
8 And I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the
children of Judah, and they shall sell them to the Sabeans, to a people far
off: for the LORD hath spoken [it].

Joel 1:11-14
11 Be ye ashamed, O ye husbandmen; howl, O ye vinedressers, for the wheat
and for the barley; because the harvest of the field is perished.
12 The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate
tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, [even] all the trees of the
field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men.
13 Gird yourselves, and lament, ye priests: howl, ye ministers of the
altar: come, lie all night in sackcloth, ye ministers of my God: for the
meat offering and the drink offering is withholden from the house of your
God.
14 Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders [and] all
the inhabitants of the land [into] the house of the LORD your God, and cry
unto the LORD,

Men as gods!

Acts 14:15 And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of
like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these
vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea,
and all things that are therein:

In Hinduism they use the term ‘Bhagwan’, people think it refers to God but
it does not. The word is a compound word which means man + god.

Many religions elevate man to gods and worship them, some do it directly
and most indirectly; even many Christian sects are into it. We have
Catholics who worship Mary (not knowing the one they worship has nothing to
do with the Mary of the Bible) and they also worship the Pope (position).
If one reads the Catholicism of the Catholic Church (CCC) which is
available on the Vatican website, it shows they believe the Pope is Christ
in the flesh and the Pope have authority over the Angels in Heaven, he can
even excommunicate them like he does to Catholics from the Church! The
Tiara of the Pope is of triple layers signifying Hell, our Creation and
Heaven, it has the words ‘King of Kings and Lord of Lords’ and this is worn
by a man in the flesh!

In today’s message we see Paul while preaching at a place with Barnabas,
Paul notices a man unable to walk from birth had the faith which could heal
him so Paul spoke the words of healing and he was healed. The people not
knowing what happened and not knowing God, thought Paul and Barnabas were
Greek/ Roman gods come in the flesh so bought an animal to be sacrificed to
them and flowers to venerate them!

You may say brother Bible too talks of man as gods, Jesus Himself quoted
the OT verse and said it cannot be negated.

If we study the verses, context and the words used it speaks of renewed man
who enters Heaven and become one with the Father.

Heavenly wedding is not of some eternal banquet, of eating, drinking like
Muslims think they will have continual sex and vine in their Paradise /
Jamnat. It is only when we understand Judgment Day, its Why, How and When
we will understand the plans of God.

Let us not be like those people who ignorant of things worshipped man as
gods, but let the understanding of spiritual things make us walk in light
and not in darkness.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. In the beginning before You created all this
creation You knew of the turn of events thus You took the necessary step in
advance. Lord we pray we know your plans so that we too take the necessary
step and not be foolish like the people in today’s message...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Acts 14:6-18

John 10:35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the
scripture cannot be broken;

John 14:19-20
19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me:
because I live, ye shall live also.
20 At that day ye shall know that I [am] in my Father, and ye in me, and I
in you.

The Day we hear His Voice

Hebrews 3:15 while it is said, To-day if ye shall hear his voice, Harden
not your hearts, as in the provocation.

I have mentioned before the Greek word ‘semeron’ translated as ‘today’ does
not necessary mean to-day (this day) for it is a compound word and has 3
meanings this /these, that, which; so when joined with day it means
this/these day or that/those day (the day/s referred to in the
conversation).

One of the greatest mistranslation of this word is Luke 23:43 where it
should have been ‘that day’ is translated as ‘today’ and caused people to
negate ‘Judgment Day’ saying people go to Heaven before Judgment Day.

In today’s message too we think God will talk to us today but when we read
with the context of the verses before, it shows the right understanding.
The day we are made partakers of Christ, Christ does talk to us and if we
have not harkened to His voice then we do not need to wait for Him to speak
to us again for His words then is the same now and the same forever. So
before it is too late let us not delay but harken to His voice.

Time in spirit world is not measured by revolution of the sun or by any
atomic activity. Spiritual time is based on condition set and if we set the
right condition then the time is NOW. We can thus quicken or delay our
spiritual blessings or events (which are not co-related to natural timing)
by our heart /spiritual conditions.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You are Spirit and your Kingdom is Spirit world.
We pray Lord we understand more and more of your Spirit Kingdom and its
ways. We pray we quicken our blessings by the change of our hearts, we also
pray we harken to your words now and not delay it till it gets too late...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Luke 23:42-43
42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy
kingdom.
43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day {that day}
shalt thou be with me in paradise.

Hebrews 3:13-15
13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of
you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our
confidence stedfast unto the end;
15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your
hearts, as in the provocation.

Sealing a grave with a stone

John 11:41 Then they took away the stone [from the place] where the dead
was laid. And Jesus lifted up [his] eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee
that thou hast heard me.

We must have all experienced our grandmothers telling us not to do
something as it was not good even though there was nothing bad in it. They
did so with good intentions but due to lack of knowledge and understanding
they believed something that was nonsense.

We see people follow traditions and we think it is normal but only when we
get to the root of the understanding, the why of those who started it we
see something else behind it. People make mountains of anthills.

In Islam their prophet thought if the door was closed ghosts or angels
(evil spirits) could not enter. Lack of knowledge and understanding causes
people to do foolishness.

The rich of especially Galilee used to bury their dead in caves and this
was because northern Israel (Samarians) partly followed the Egyptian
rituals. Bible does mention Patriarchs like Abraham his wife Sarah amongst
other had their bodies kept in caves, this was done because they did not
understand resurrection, so when they God, the Lord granted them their wish
even though it did not matter.

Even though Men of God of OT were vessels to give us the Word of God yet
they did not have the full understanding of it. Bible says Truth and Grace
came only through Jesus Christ. Even most wise person like Solomon from OT
did not have clear understanding of scriptures therefore he also worshipped
other gods and goddesses.

The Egyptians sealed the tombs of the dead not to lock that which was in
but to prevent people outside from stealing the precious things that were
buried with their loved ones to use in their afterlife. Babylonians put
seals /signet of people in authority on the stone after sealing it to show
approvals of men.

When I was a Catholic and my father had expired I designed his grave using
CAD-CAM software and got it made as per my designed. People were very happy
to see it and especially my family members were proud of me. I initially
thought I did it out of love for my father, then realized it was more for
the approvals of people.

Even today people put crucifixes to mark the grave of their dead. Ask them
why and they say to identify it as a Christian grave.

Think of it, they are doing this in a Christian grave. Now where would find
non-Christians being buried in a Christian graveyard that people need to
mark it as a grave of a Christian!

Jesus cried at the grave of Lazarus not because he had died. Jesus knew He
would raise him to life again. Jesus cried looking at the foolish rituals
that his sister and other had done over him.

There is a difference between traditions and statutes. Statutes make us
understand that which is hidden and thus builds our faith. Statutes do not
need to be continued once understood thus were more for the ‘Children of
Israel’. Traditions on other hand may be claimed to be connected to the
faith but are made by man and actually contradicting the faith. Traditions
are like iron shackles and have to be continuously followed.

God hates traditions for they destroy His people.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are Truth and Light. You do not change
for Truth is always the same. Lord we pray we who are your children walk in
light and not in darkness. We pray we learn to discern all things in spirit
and truth. We pray we do not be victims of vanity due to our foolishness...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Genesis 23:9,19-20
9 That he may give me the cave of Machpelah, which he hath, which [is] in
the end of his field; for as much money as it is worth he shall give it me
for a possession of a burying place amongst you.
19 And after this, Abraham buried Sarah his wife in the cave of the field
of Machpelah before Mamre: the same [is] Hebron in the land of Canaan.
20 And the field, and the cave that [is] therein, were made sure unto
Abraham for a possession of a buryingplace by the sons of Heth.

Genesis 25:9 And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of
Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, which [is]
before Mamre;

John 11:34-36
34 And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and
see.
35 Jesus wept.
36 Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!

Daniel 6:16-17
16 Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast [him] into
the den of lions. [Now] the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom
thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.
17 And a stone was brought, and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the
king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that
the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel.

John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, [but] grace and truth came by
Jesus Christ.

Are all authorities ordained of God?

Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is
no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

We see people do not believe in predestine salvation and consider those who
believe in it as heretics since they remove the human responsibility and
blame everything (even their own doings) on God. They take out the key
factors of repentance and renewal in spirit which are necessary for
salvation.

True God is in control, omnipotent and knows all but then the evil that
exist cannot be blamed on Him. He did make the being we call Satan but He
did not create Satan, He created a Cherub who later became Satan (evil).
Did He know about his fall when He created him?
Yes, yet He allowed the fall so that darkness would be made spectacle
forever by light overcoming it that too shining through a mere creature
called man.

We forget Deuteronomy which tells us when we do evil God will punish us
with evil people ruling over us. Now are we to thank God for the evil
people who rule over us? Paul in the 3rd verse states this.

When elections come people pray for good people to govern them, they think
God will ignore His own Word. If they want good governors they need to walk
in righteousness. Grace cannot be taken for granted. God is slow to anger
that does not mean He forgets, He gives time and even helps us to change,
but if we be persistent then He like a righteous Father does punish us.

Let us differentiate between worldly authority and spiritual authority. Let
us respect all that are in authority but submit to those ordained by God
for good. We are called not to take arms or violence against those who are
in authority. We may make known our protest or our disappointment through
civil means. If things are not controllable we are simply asked to move out
like in persecution we are called to flee and not revolt.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. For You nothing is impossible yet You do not do
all things in a moment but give time and space for change. Your purpose and
means are above all things, You do not compromise on both. Lord we pray we
understand our responsibilities as citizens of Heaven and the countries we
belong to while on earth…

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Romans 13:2-3
2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God:
and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou
then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have
praise of the same:

Deuteronomy 25:1 If there be a controversy between men, and they come unto
judgment, that [the judges] may judge them; then they shall justify the
righteous, and condemn the wicked.

1 Peter 3:12-15
12 For the eyes of the Lord [are] over the righteous, and his ears [are
open] unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord [is] against them that
do evil.
13 And who [is] he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is
good?
14 But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy [are ye]: and be
not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;
15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and [be] ready always to
[give] an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is
in you with meekness and fear:

Deuteronomy 28:15-16,36-37
15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of
the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes
which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee,
and overtake thee:
16 Cursed [shalt] thou [be] in the city, and cursed [shalt] thou [be] in
the field.
36 The LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee,
unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there
shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone.
37 And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among
all nations whither the LORD shall lead thee.

Diversity amongst men

Acts 17:26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on
all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed,
and the bounds of their habitation;

In Hinduism they believe Brahmins came from his head, Kshatriyas came from
his hands, Vaishyas came from his thighs, and Sudras came from his feet.
These are the castes amongst Hindus and one caste could not marry another
caste, if done not only the couple but even close family members were
killed. The Brahmins were considered the intellectual lot for schools were
exclusive for them. They alone could speak Sanskrit, learn the text to read
and write. The other castes had gurukools (classes) which were specific for
skill learning (according to the caste/trade). If any low caste like
Vaishya, Sudra or untouchable spoke Sanskrit their tongue would be cut or
burning coal put in their mouth. Thanks to Christianity coming to India
that we have proper schools for all. It was Christians who legally got
Sanskrit and many other languages to be learnt and spoken by all (else many
languages would have died).

Before Hinduism became popular in India (before that people had local
beliefs which were not connected to each other) Buddhism flourished
throughout the land thanks to Emperor Ashoka the Great, that time (and also
during Gupta Empire) education was for all and casteism was not rampant. It
was with Hinduism specifically casteism that destroyed the intellectual and
prosperous India. Today again this evil is raising its ugly head.

Christianity did not have casteism but during Catholic Church rule (300AD –
1700AD) classism was enforced. Depending on social status people had
opportunity and availability of resources. Like Sanskrit in India Rome had
Latin which was the language of the high class. The Catholic Church
translated NT from Kone Greek (common man Greek) to Latin and tried to
destroy all Greek manuscripts for they did not want common man to know the
truth, and the high class were not interested in knowing it. It was the
Reformation movement that help destroy classism (keep it under check) in
Europe.

Amongst early Americans, Africa and Middle East region skin color was an
issue. Racism caused human salve trade to flourish, again it was
Protestants who led the revolt against racism.

Gender issue is still a going factor and we see the revolt against it
taking an ugly turn with grey shades of genders being formed. Bible clearly
says in Christ there is no man or woman, both are same; sadly this truth
has yet to sink in fully amongst Christians. Many areas they do not
differentiate, but some areas they still do.

Christianity does not consider color of skin, race, caste, gender or class
to be a factor to differentiate humans. It also does not allow us to
differentiate people according to beliefs for we are called to reach out to
the lost sheep and they surely will be mainly amongst those who do not know
God, so how can we, set them far from us. Even behavior is changeable
according to environment, so should be discerned carefully.

Today’s scripture tells us God has intentionally made man in various forms
and differences so that they overcome their differences and seek the truth.
So let us not judge people by their looks or their external form. We need
to mainly differentiate ourselves from the deeds and thinking of people.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You are Spirit and You desire us to worship You
in spirit and truth. You made variations in mankind so that man does not
let it become a factor but be led only by the spirit and not by natural
senses. Lord we pray we learn to discern in spirit and not by our natural
senses...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Acts 17:24-28
24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord
of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
25 Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing,
seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the
face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the
bounds of their habitation;
27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and
find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of
your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor
free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 5:6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing,
nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body,
whether [we be] Jews or Gentiles, whether [we be] bond or free; and have
been all made to drink into one Spirit.

Colossians 3:11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor
uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond [nor] free: but Christ [is] all,
and in all.

Judging your Brother

Romans 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at
nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of
Christ.

Today’s scripture is amongst few scriptures which due to being
misunderstood has caused great harm to Christianity. You may wonder what I
am talking of.

Christians blanking think they are called not to judge others (Christians)
thus turn a blind eye towards them and their deeds. They forget there are 2
very hard hitting scriptures from the OT (Isaiah 5:20, Ezekiel 3:18-19)
which outright condemn a person who certifies evil or is silent when evil
is committed by a brother and no efforts are done to correct that brother.
This is not just OT but even in NT we see many scriptures which calls us as
Christians to correct a brother (another believer) who is doing wrong and
to do that we need to judge if that brother is doing wrong or right.

Judging and passing judgment are two different things. We are called to
judge people but not to pass judgment. We cannot in no possible way state a
person is doomed to Hell or eternal judgment and if we do it in our own
wisdom then we will be responsible to answer for that on Judgment Day,
meaning this will stand against us and may even hinder our eternal life
since that goes against the Will of the Father.

Will of God is to save His lost sheep and we as His vessels who are saved
are called not only to save others by preaching the Gospel but also making
them Disciples of Christ and for that we need to correct them when they do
wrong. Correction requires us to judge / discern their words and deeds.

Many may not like today’s message therefore I quoted more scriptures today
to back what I am saying. Please read them diligently and understand them.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord know all for You are Omnipresent and
time nor space is a factor for You. Lord we pray the leaders chosen by You
as shepherds know the shepherds staff is both for protecting the flock and
also for correcting the flock. We pray people understand the need and above
all the purpose for correction...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness
for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for
bitter.

Ezekiel 3:18-19 If I say to the wicked, “You shall surely die,” and you
give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, in
order to save his life, that wicked person shall die for his iniquity, but
his blood I will require at your hand. But if you warn the wicked, and he
does not turn from his wickedness, or from his wicked way, he shall die for
his iniquity, but you will have delivered your soul.

Ephesians 5:11-12 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness,
but rather expose them. It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient
do in secret.

John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous
judgment.

Titus 1:10-13 For there are many who are insubordinate, empty talkers and
deceivers, especially those of the circumcision party. They must be
silenced, since they are upsetting whole families by teaching for shameful
gain what they ought not to teach. One of the Cretans, a prophet of their
own, said, Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons. This
testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in
the faith.

James 5:20 let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his
wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.

Galatians 6:1 Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who
are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on
yourself, lest you too be tempted.

James 4:4 You adulterers! Don’t you know that friendship with the world
means hostility with God? So whoever wants to be a friend of this world is
an enemy of God.

Matthew 12:34 You brood of vipers! How can you speak good, when you are
evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

Acts 13:9-10 Then Saul, who was also called Paul, filled with the Holy
Spirit, looked straight at Elymas and said, “You are a child of the devil
and an enemy of everything that is right! You are full of all kinds of
deceit and trickery. Will you never stop perverting the right ways of the
Lord?”

1 Corinthians 5:1-2 It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality
among you, and of a kind that is not tolerated even among pagans, for a man
has his father’s wife. And you are arrogant! Ought you not rather to mourn?
Let him who has done this be removed from among you.

Galatians 2:11-14 But when Cephas came to Antioch, I opposed him to his
face, because he stood condemned. For before certain men came from James,
he was eating with the Gentiles; but when they came he drew back and
separated himself, fearing the circumcision party. And the rest of the Jews
acted hypocritically along with him, so that even Barnabas was led astray
by their hypocrisy. But when I saw that their conduct was not in step with
the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas before them all, “If you, though
a Jew, live like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how can you force the
Gentiles to live like Jews?”

1 Corinthians 5:12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are
without? do not ye judge them that are within?

Vengeance is the Lord’s

Romans 12: 19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but [rather] give
place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance [is] mine; I will repay,
saith the Lord.

Worldly people think it is unmanly to not take vengeance so they will plot
and plot and go to any extreme to show their manhood by taking vengeance
and that too paying back at least twice.

On the other hand we see those who are religious following other religions
like Hinduism go to their gods to pray and bribe them for vengeance. There
are few gods, goddesses like Shiva, Kali, Durga etc. very known for such
favor so they ask the temple priest / baba to do things like black magic on
their adversaries.

The funniest part is the adversary if a Hindu will also go to the same
god/goddess to get the magic removed and both then praise the same goddess!

When it comes to Christianity / Bible we need to understand our God is not
like other gods/deities who focus revenge on the person. In today’s message
even though God says I will take revenge yet He does not desire to harm the
person but the evil; that is why He also tells us to pray for our enemy and
not to rejoice on their fall.

God does not hate people but the evil and if the person does not
disassociate himself or herself from that evil then that person too become
an enemy of God. It is for this reason Jesus loved and did what was right
in the sight of God so that evil is made His footstool/ashamed. Jesus’
sacrifice on the crucifix is an example of God’s perfect revenge since it
helped many overcome evil.

Let us understand God and thus let us not focus our hatred or discontent
against people but against their deeds or mindset. Let us learn to love
people irrespective of what they do to us.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty Holy God. Lord before your presence evil cannot exist
thus even when man sinned and knew evil You did not crush man but gave him
a chance to change and disassociate from evil. Your enmity is against
darkness / evil, You do not fight it but simply overcome it for You are
light. Lord we pray we walk in your ways and learn to love those who hate
us also pray for those who harm us...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Romans 12:14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.

Romans 12:17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in
the sight of all men.

Leviticus 19:18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the
children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I
[am] the LORD.

Proverbs 24:17-19,29
17 Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad
when he stumbleth:
18 Lest the LORD see [it], and it displease him, and he turn away his
wrath from him.
19 Fret not thyself because of evil [men], neither be thou envious at the
wicked;
29 Say not, I will do so to him as he hath done to me: I will render to
the man according to his work.

Teleportation in the Bible

Acts 5:22,23 But when the officers came, and found them not in the prison,
they returned, and told, Saying, The prison truly found we shut with all
safety, and the keepers standing without before the doors: but when we had
opened, we found no man within.

We see in Sci-Fi movie series like Star Wars, Star Trek or Avengers people
getting transported from one place to another like a telephone call. They
open a channel to the destination and the molecular structure with all its
information and characteristics are sent so as to recreate the same at the
destination.

Human concept of teleportation is of moving an object via communication
means but even if that was practically possible it would not be moving but
creating a copy of the same. Also this could be possible only with objects
and not with living beings.

Today we have 3D scanners and printers which can replicate objects even at
far distances. As the base materials for printing increases we will see
more and more variety of objects being created.

Since man has yet not understood life or spirit it is not in the preview of
man to teleport or even recreate life. Man assumes life exist because of
the natural properties that are associated with life, for instance electric
charges, so man thinks by giving the right amount of electric charge parts
can be bought back to life so people experimented at reanimating parts and
they managed that with parts of human body like organs or tissue for a
period but then it cannot be truly called life. This helps to keep the part
useable state till it is transplanted into another living human being but
if all parts of a human are put together they cannot create another human.
Frankenstein was such a friction creation of human imagination.

We see on the other hand many records of teleportation of people in the
Bible both in OT and NT. Today’s message talks of one such incident where
the Apostles were put in a prison and an Angel of the Lord teleports then
out of that place. Teleportations did not happen only when the people were
in grave situations for we see Philip also being teleported from one place
to another as he was preaching and doing the Lord’s mission.

We talk of great faith but when we look in reality our faith is just
little, if the faith of even one man was real strong there would have been
a fear of God amongst the people of the world.

While I was writing on the topic ‘Prayer’ the Lord did allow me to
experience what strong faith can do and it is just imaginable. Jesus said
even if our faith is little but strong (without doubt) like a mustard seed
which is small but does not have any air pocket (air symbolizes doubt that
is why Satan is called prince of the air) we can tell a mountain to be
moved and it will move (teleporting objects).

For small things like heals we struggle; teleporting objects and people is
out of our syllabus for our faith is little/weak full of doubts.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God. You are Spirit and your Kingdom is Spirit Kingdom. This
natural world is temporary and cease to exist when the renewal process of
man is complete. Lord we pray we overcome the natural world restricted by
dependence on our senses and see things in the spirit led by your Spirit...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Acts 8:26-27, 39-40
26 Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Rise and go toward the south
to the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” This is a desert place.
27 And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of
great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge
of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,
39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord
caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way
rejoicing.
40 But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all
the cities, till he came to Caesarea.

John 6:19-21
19 When therefore they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs,
they behold Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the boat: and
they were afraid.
20 But he saith unto them, It is I; be not afraid.
21 They were willing therefore to receive him into the boat: and
straightway {immediately} the boat was at the land whither {where} they
were going.

1 Kings 18:11-12
11 And now thou sayest, Go, tell thy lord, Behold, Elijah [is here].
12 And it shall come to pass, [as soon as] I am gone from thee, that the
Spirit of the LORD shall carry thee whither I know not; and [so] when I
come and tell Ahab, and he cannot find thee, he shall slay me: but I thy
servant fear the LORD from my youth.

Ezekiel 3:14-15
14 So the spirit lifted me up, and took me away, and I went in bitterness,
in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the LORD was strong upon me.
15 Then I came to them of the captivity at Telabib, that dwelt by the
river of Chebar, and I sat where they sat, and remained there astonished
among them seven days.

Blindness and Condemnation of Sins

John 9:25 He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner [or no], I know not:
one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.

This incident of healing of the blind man who was born blind and Jesus
saying ‘his blindness was not for his sin or that of his parents’ had me
thinking since I knew about the relationship between sin and sickness, and
then when I was writing on the same on august 1 things became clearer to me..

Today the Lord wants to the see this same scripture along with John 9:41,
He wants us to know the responsibility with being able to see. The Lord is
not talking of natural sight but spiritual sight.

We all are very happy as Christians that we know Christ, but we do not know
the dangers of knowing Him and not following Him. At times I tell people it
is better they forsake Christ and die as unbelievers if they are not
willing to follow Christ.

Jesus said when they know Him, He becomes the Rock which they fall on are
devoured or which falls on them and devours them worse. Either way we or
part of us dies after knowing Christ.

Those who are blind suffer their sins in Hell but those who have sight and
still continue in sin will not suffer their sins but for rejecting the Son
/ Truth and that is even worse punishment (described as Lake of
Sulphur/Fire).

When our spiritual eyes are open our battle with our sin nature starts and
in this battle we die, either our old sin nature or our spirit. If our old
sin nature dies our spirit gets to live eternal life.

Let us not be foolish even after having spiritual sight to think all is
well, for our battle starts when we get sight. Let us not be fooled by
‘Abundant Grace’ or OSAS (Once Saved Always Saved) preachers who will send
us to Lake of Fire.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. The Heavens are your abode. You are Holy Lord
and in your dwelling place nothing corrupt dwell there in. You Lord removed
us so that we are restored and able to be returned back. Lord help us
understand the importance of becoming overcomers for You made us to be
light that overcomes darkness...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
John 9:41 Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin:
but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.

John 15:22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin:
but now they have no cloke for their sin.

Luke 12:47 And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not
[himself], neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many
[stripes]

Hebrews 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the
knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

Luke 20:18 Every one that falleth on that stone shall be broken to pieces;
but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will scatter him as dust.

Rich and those in need do not know Christ

Luke 18:23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very
rich.

People get very offended with me when I tell them those who are rich are
very unlikely to be true Christians. Even when Jesus stated this the people
there took offence and were shocked.

All most all ministries who are well settled have a cowshed of fat rich
Christians whom they milk regularly for ministry work. What you will see is
even though these people do lots of activities on a large scale yet they
bear very little fruit, they will sow a thousand seeds and will share
testimonies of a couple people. Compare this to smaller poorer ministries
who sow ten seeds and yield 5 to 7 testimonies / souls for God’s Kingdom.

The last place to hear the truth about Christianity is at a conference held
in a 5star hotel or a grand stadium where the organizers paid millions.
Prosperity Gospel is the biggest killer of Christianity as big as
traditions (religiousness).

The problem is not only with the rich but also with the needy (not to be
mistaken with poor). Those who struggle to meet their needs show that they
do not know God and they have little faith. God said I am your Father and
the word in Greek means Creator, Protector and Provider, that is the reason
we are instructed by Jesus not to call any human as our spiritual father or
mother, even though we may be their spiritual children. The people who
minister to us (Pastors) are simply substitutes / representatives of Christ
/ Father.

Let us check our lives and see if we are rich then we are not giving
enough. We may be giving the largest amount amongst others we know, yet God
says we need to overflow (give beyond our needs). Let us also check if we
are always struggling in our needs then we need to work on our faith.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God. You are Father. You are our Creator, Protector and
Provider. You Lord created us and assured us You will always provide us our
needs. You Lord also commanded us to overcome this world for your world is
not of this world and this world is an enemy of your Kingdom. Lord we pray
we overcome the desires of this world so that we do not lose our
inheritance in your Kingdom. This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Genesis 14:18-24
18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he
[was] the priest of the most high God.
19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed [be] Abram of the most high God,
possessor of heaven and earth:
20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies
into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.
21 And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take
the goods to thyself.
22 And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the
LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,
23 That I will not [take] from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I
will not take any thing that [is] thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have
made Abram rich:
24 Save only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the
men which went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their
portion.

Matthew 19:23-24
23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich
man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the
eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

Matthew 23:9 And call no [man] your father upon the earth: for one is your
Father, which is in heaven.

Fear of Authority
John 12:41,42 These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake
of him. Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but
because of the Pharisees they did not confess [him], lest they should be
put out of the synagogue:
We always have been told to submit to authority but sadly it is not a
biblical concept as put by all. Yes Bible says we are called to submit to
authority provided the authority itself is under submission to its greater
authority.
In today’s message we see people saw the Pharisees did wrong yet the common
Jews submitted to them all because they feared they would be cast out of
the Jewish community / synagogue.
Think of it, if a Man of God backslides and stops submitting to God but
instead submits to Satan (evil), would a person submitting to him be
abiding in God or Satan (evil)? Will that person please God or receive His
wrath?
Bible says God submitted to His Word (lifted His Word above Himself), so if
I am submitting to God I need to submit to His Word, since God and His Word
are one (unchangeable) then we do not have any doubt between them. But any
person standing in the position of God (God given position) is not
unchangeable and is prone to temptation or backsliding. In these cases we
need to check if that person is commanding us in the ways of the Lord or
away from God. We are called not to submit to any person leading us away
from God whatever his position may be. Also God does not say we need to
rebel against that person or go public and abuse that person, in the Bible
the Lord gives us steps in which we are called to correct a misled Brother
or Sister in Christ.
Let us always remember no ‘Man or Woman of God’ going against the Will
(Word) of God can be a blessing for us. Let us discern people and what they
instruct us and make sure they are building us in Christ. If we do not
understand or are confused, let us be patient and wait on the Lord, but if
we are sure they are going against God’s Will then let us not fear them
instead fear God more.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God, yet your Word says You lifted your Word even
above your Name. Lord we pray we understand and know to whom we need to
submit to and thus discern people who claim to stand in your Name. Let us
not follow ‘another christ’ or a ‘false Prophet/Man of God’...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
1 Corinthians 12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles,
secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of
healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
1 Corinthians 16:16 That ye submit yourselves unto such, and to every one
that helpeth with [us], and laboureth.
Ephesians 5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto
the Lord.
Exodus 23:20-22
20 Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to
bring thee into the place which I have prepared.
21 Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not
pardon your transgressions: for my name [is] in him.
22 But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then
I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine
adversaries.
Hebrews 13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit
yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account,
that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that [is]
unprofitable for you.
Psalms 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name
for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word
above all thy name.

Dangers of Losing Salvation
1 Corinthians 5:2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that
he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.
This is one question which Preachers / Pastors rarely take up with the
congregation they minister to, ‘can one lose his or her salvation?’
We all hear ‘good preaching’ saying ‘all is well’ as far as you are a
‘Christian’, ‘God’s grace is on you and His grace is sufficient’.
Meaningless slogan that have no relation with reality is a thing not only
of politician but mainly of ‘religious’ people, they use terms which they
themselves have no idea of.
Just for example a few minutes back a person had passed some nasty comments
on a group of youth who were spreading the Gospel not according to his
acceptable ways and he used the term ‘Gentiles’. When I asked him what the
word meant, he immediately said ‘those who do not know God’..
People truly lack Bible study (including Preachers and Pastors) and they
echo what someone does from any big stage/TV show. The term ‘Gentiles’ was
used even for Jews (especially of Galilee) and comes from the term ‘not
following customs/statutes’. When Christ or the Apostles used it, they
referred to the ‘lost sheep’, those who are of God but are lost and living
a life contrary to God’s Kingdom.
Coming to salvation, it is connected with faith. To have faith and to
remain in the faith (keeping it) both are important. We receive the grace
to be saved by our faith. That means if I have faith I have grace and if I
do not have faith I stop being in grace thus I lose my salvation. I cannot
believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and next day reject Him and
still think I am saved.
We need to also understand grace is not a green ticket, it is like having
all the help need, it also does not mean God does the job. The Hebrew word
comes from the root word ‘mercy’. Grace requires us to do out 2bit for God
to do the rest. I simplify grace as a person requiring 35marks to pass, now
the teacher cannot give grace marks if the student leaves the paper blank
or gets zero, in God’s case he or she needs to have at least get 1 mark for
God to give the remaining 34 marks.
We do have scriptures which tell us of ‘predestined’ or ‘no one being able
to snatch us from the hands of God’, but they are scriptures not properly
understood. Being in the flock cannot assure us salvation, for the flock
also has goats along with sheep. The sheep will truly not fail and no one
can snatch them from God’s hand but how do we know we are sheep or goats
just being in the flock? Also we need to take great caution for the ratio
between sheep to goats is very high, goats out numbering sheep twice (the
ratio is very high in the start and reduces near to the end – maintaining
the average of 2:1).
Being a Christian (sheep) requires us to follow Christ, knowing about
Christ or simply believing about Him does not qualify us as Christians. I
tell people Believers may not enter Heaven but Christians will, initially
they are taken back but then realized what I meant.
If we are not shining the light of Christ then let us introspect our lives
and ask ourselves, ‘am I truly a Christian and will I go to Heaven?’
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord can see all things across space and
time, nothing is hidden from You. You are not fooled by our actions or
words but see the heart and it’s intend. Lord we pray I do not just believe
in You but follow You and live our lives according to You Will. We pray we
shine your light so that we be fruitful Christians and assure our
inheritance in Heaven...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
John 10:28-30 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one
will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is
greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the
Father are one.
Ephesians 1:4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be
holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to
sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will.
Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because
anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards
those who earnestly seek him.
James 2:26 As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds
is dead.
2 Peter 1:10 Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to
confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will
never stumble,
1 John 2:15,24
15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the
world, love for the Father is not in them.
24 As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in
you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father.
John 14:21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me.
The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them
and show myself to them.”
Hebrews 3:14 We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our
original conviction firmly to the very end.
Hebrews 12:16-17
16 See that no one is sexually immoral, or is godless like Esau, who for a
single meal sold his inheritance rights as the oldest son.
17 Afterward, as you know, when he wanted to inherit this blessing, he was
rejected. Even though he sought the blessing with tears, he could not
change what he had done.
2 John 1:8-9
8 Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked for, but that you may
be rewarded fully.
9 Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ
does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father
and the Son.

Are we set free from sin?

Thu Oct 10, 2019 9:39 pm (PDT) . Posted by:
"SavedByFaith Info" savedbyfaithinfo

Are we set free from sin?

Romans 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God,
ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

When one read today’s scripture in isolation one will surely think Paul
said we are already set free from sin, become servants of God, are holy
people and already have everlasting life in us.

It is very important to keep in mind the context of the scripture (always
read with a few verses before and after if it is part of a continual
sentence). Also important is to study the actual Greek / Hebrew word root
meaning and its grammar.

If we look at the Greek word ‘eleutheroo’ translated a ‘made free from sin’
is not in the present past tense but its T (tense) V (voice) M(mood) is
Aorist, Passive, Participle respectively. I have mentioned before Greek has
7 tenses and Aorist is like past, present and future together. Also
important to note is the root meaning of ‘eleutheroo’ means ‘bornfree’.
Thus if we go by the grammar and root meaning the word does not imply we
are free of sin but implies we were intended to be free of sin even before
we were born in the flesh.

If we look at the previous and following scriptures, we read, the context
of the topic is about the result at the end. So it implies at the end when
we become servants (bonded labor not to be misunderstood with slavery -
doing the mission of God) we overcome the sin nature and thus are free of
sinning further. This also enables us to receive the Fruit of Holiness and
the gift of eternal life (residence in Upper Heavens).

Even though salvation is a personal choice (no person can save another
being, one has to make one’s personal choice to be saved), yet we need
others to assure us of our salvation. It means when we work for other’s
salvation (guiding them and supporting them) we only reconfirm or
strengthen our own salvation. Again these ‘works’ are not works of
righteousness but works of faith.

We are not saved if we are not servants of God. Unless we do not do the
Will of the Father which we see in Jesus Christ we cannot fool ourselves to
be inheritors of eternal life. Let us allow the Holy Spirit/ Spirit of the
Son to work in us and through us so that we become Sons of God and
inheritors of His Kingdom.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty and Holy God. You Lord created mere man even though
in your plan You have only transformed man. Lord we pray we understand
unless there is no transformation in the Spirit we are only fooling
ourselves about our salvation. Faith and grace only brings us to receive
the Holy Spirit by whose help we are transformed. We pray we truly follow
Christ and do the Will of the Father like He did...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Romans 6:20-23
20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for
the end of those things [is] death.
22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have
your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
23 For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:

Matthew 7:22-23
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in
thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many
wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye
that work iniquity.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto
thee, Except a man be born again {from above}, he cannot see the kingdom of
God.

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons
of God.

Ephesians 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye
may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory
of his inheritance in the saints,

Colossians 1:12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to
be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

Hebrews 9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament,
that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions [that
were] under the first testament, they which are called might receive the
promise of eternal inheritance.

Revealing of Light and Darkness

Romans 1:18, 19 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all
ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in
unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in
them; for God hath shewed [it] unto them.

When God created man, God kept man away from knowing darkness / corruption.
But then man like any created being could not appreciate goodness unless it
knows darkness or corruption.

All things that God created, God said it is ‘good’ yet man wanted to know
‘evil’ and the only things that was evil was the Satan(s) and the fallen
angels. The Lord (the Body) was the only one who knew this corruption and
Satan tempted man to also know this corruption. When Satan asked man to eat
of the Tree of ‘Good and Evil’ (Doubt) saying he would become like God, it
did not mean man would become divine but experience corruption like the
Heavenly Temple experienced with the falling of one third of the Angels.

I love to see the expression of people’s faces when I tell them ‘like Satan
wants to kill you, so also God wants you to die and like God wants you to
be blessed in life so also Satan wants to you to enjoy life’. It is later
they realize I was referring to God wanting us to die a carnal death so as
to enjoy spiritual life and Satan wants us to enjoy carnal life so as to
die a spiritual death.

As the Spirit of God works amongst the people and increases amongst them,
we also see the manifestation of carnal nature. Today’s scripture says they
both are for the glory of God. This has nothing to do with Yin Yang
(Chinese Philosophy) or balance of forces of nature /cosmos (Hinduism) for
these philosophies are primary based on human observation or experiences.

Creation (universe) was not created out of chaos but out of a plan. God
created all things by design for purpose, so letting the existence of
darkness or evil was in the plan of God (He did not create it but allowed
it to come to existence) so that His overcoming light may be known.

Today as we see evil and corruption let us not be disheartened nor thank
God for it, but look at it as opportunity to let the light of the Lord
shine through it. Only people who have experienced darkness will truly
understand the goodness of His light.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty Holy God. In You alone is Perfection and nothing
created by You is perfect as You. You Lord desire us to be perfect thus
allowed us to see corruption so that with your help we overcome it and be
perfect. Lord help us understand the things You desire to bless us with
after we overcome darkness, so that we know this suffering us nothing...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Genesis 2:9 And out of the earth the Lord made every tree to come,
delighting the eye and good for food; and in the middle of the garden, the
tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Revelation 22:2 In the middle of its street. And on this side of the river
and on that was the tree of life, having twelve sorts of fruits, giving its
fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree give life to the nations.

Revelation 2:7 He who has ears, let him give ear to what the Spirit says
to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give of the fruit of the tree
of life, which is in the Paradise of God.

Genesis 3:1-5
1 Now the snake was wiser than any beast of the field which the Lord God
had made. And he said to the woman, Has God truly said that you may not
take of the fruit of any tree in the garden?
2 And the woman said, We may take of the fruit of the trees in the garden:
3 But of the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden, God has said,
If you take of it or put your hands on it, death will come to you.
4 And the snake said, Death will not certainly come to you:
5 For God sees that on the day when you take of its fruit, your eyes will
be open, and you will be as gods, having knowledge of good and evil.

Genesis 3:22 And the Lord God said, Now the man has become like one of us,
having knowledge of good and evil; and now if he puts out his hand and
takes of the fruit of the tree of life, he will go on living for ever.

John 2:19-21
19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three
days I will raise it up.
20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building,
and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
21 But he spake of the temple of his body.

Callings and Missions

Acts 9:15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen
vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the
children of Israel:

In yesterday’s message we saw how people are influenced more by what people
preach of the Word instead by what the Word actually says.

Yesterday I was an exhibition distributing NTs and got to share the Good
News to many. But more so what impacted me was meeting some specific people
namely a ‘Christian’ from birth who was going to great hardship and thought
there was nothing wrong with it, that it was God’s will he suffer. He had
come there with a person (in fact dragged there) to help us distribute.
That person told me of his problems and asked me to counsel him. So I spoke
to him about blessings and curses, how God had already given everything we
needed even before He created us and it was we who delay or quicken
receiving it. Later I prophesied over him and I saw some hope shine in his
eyes.

The second person was a person waiting on God to know his Calling. He had
received a message from the Lord to wait on Him for 332 days. After I spoke
to him, he realized the waiting was not to know his Calling but to be built
in it and he had seen things moving already.

Today’s message talks of Calling and mission (specific) of Paul. We know
Paul was an Apostle by Calling and in today’s message we read about his
mission.

Both Calling and mission which the Lord has given us does not change in our
lifetime. I have seen many anointed Men and Women of God deceived by others
to keep changing Callings, from Evangelist to Prophet or to Apostle. They
think just because they prophesize they become Prophets, also because they
lead other leaders they become Apostles.

Lack of understanding of Callings has caused great damage and suffering to
the Church. We (not just Catholic Churches but even Believer Churches) have
been following Nicolaitan system without knowing. The Body of Christ till
date (after 300AD) has been a Frankenstein.

If we understand today’s message which was the mission of Paul, we will
understand the work of Paul and why even though he was very competent yet
restrained to work in his Calling and mission domain.

Today’s message says Paul was called to work in 3 areas, firstly ‘Gentiles’
(those who are lost) – thus he moved from place to place reaching out to
them, secondly ‘kings’ (rulers, leaders) – thus he reached out to civil
administrators, Jews leaders and also became a beacon to other Christian
Church leaders, lastly ‘children of Israel’ – this was not referring to
Jewish children. Paul did not run Sunday schools. It referred to those
little in Christ or those spiritually growing. It is for this reason almost
all the letters of Paul speak very basic elementary fundamentals of
Christianity and do not touch on higher spiritual topics. It was not that
Paul did not know about them, but was not led to share on them.

Peter says in his second letter if we are aware of our Calling and mission,
and work in it then we will never fail.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are perfect and thus You alone are
Holy. Lord we know in your wisdom You created all things. You made all
things according to design and purpose. We pray Lord we do not try to be
smarter than You trying to correct You, but instead work in the Calling and
mission You have given us even before You formed us in our mother’s womb...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Sciptures]
2 Timothy 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called [us] with an holy calling, not
according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which
was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

Romans 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God [are] without repentance.

1 Corinthians 7:20 Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was
called.

2 Peter 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your
calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

Where is Jesus?

John 9:12 Then said they unto him, Where is he? He said, I know not.

Yesterday we saw how lack of knowledge can lead to fear and binding our
ability to recognize Christ.

In today’s message we see the man who was healed of his blindness by Jesus
was asked where he was (the one who healed him) and that man said he did
not know. Today almost all Christians fall in the position of the blind
man. They were spiritually blind and in their blindness Christ touches them
and heals them, but even after they are healed on the blindness yet they do
not know Christ, as to who He really is and where He is.

Ask any Christian, ‘where is Christ?’ and like little kids they will say
‘in my heart’, then they foolishly point to the natural organ called heart.
If cross questioned further they will say not the natural heart but the
spiritual heart, referring to the inner-man. And if asked to describe the
inner-man and as to how Christ can be resident there. They will not only
confuse you but also confuse themselves further, for I have yet to come
across one person who knows well on the inner-man.

Note when Jesus healed this man He applied a layer of clay made with mud
and spit on his eyes! Did Jesus need to do that, could He not just touch or
simply speak and heal Him?

We can only understand this by finding the place where Jesus performed this
and how Jesus rebuked them for their lack of faith. Jesus had to do this
stun so that their faithlessness does not prevent Him for healing him.
Faithlessness of the person and of the people around could cause even Jesus
Christ to not heal or do miracles. If we understand it we will know why
famous Healers do maximum healing in public events but not in personal one
to one sessions; it is not their faith alone that works but also the faith
of other that plays a major role.

Lack of knowledge and understanding can not only cause fear but also
prevent God from working in our lives.

In OT many words are translated as ‘heart’ in English translations are
actually words like Hebrew leb (mind), lebab (inner-man), lebbah (thinking,
understanding), nephesh (soul), me’ah (bowels, belly), qereb (within, core)
and Aramaic bal (mind)

Just think how people will react when you tell them the organ which Bible
equates with love (innermost emotions) is not the organ heart but the
‘kidney’ (Hebrew ‘kilyah’ and translated as ‘reins’ in the English Bible)!
This fact alone will tell you how many really know the Bible and truly
study the text instead of blindly believing what people preach about it.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You alone are God. You are Spirit and your world is
not this world which is full of corruption and misinformation. Lord we pray
we learn to abide in your Spirit and learn for your Holy Spirit for true
understanding comes only from Him. Lord open our hearts and minds to know
You and your Word...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Lamentations 3:13 He hath caused the arrows of his quiver to enter into my
reins.

John 12:37 But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they
believed not on him:

Matthew 13:58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their
unbelief.

Matthew 16:8 [Which] when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of
little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no
bread?

Luke 24:25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe
all that the prophets have spoken:

Being afraid - good or bad?

John 6:20 But he saith unto them, It is I; be not afraid.

We all may have heard Preachers state there are 365 times in the Bible
where it mentions ‘do not be afraid’.

Fear is a window like lust or hatred through which Satan can attack. Fear
comes through lack of knowledge. But then we also have scriptures which
state fear of the Lord is the first step towards wisdom and wisdom helps us
know the truth. So is fear good or bad?

In today’s message we see the disciples feared for they did not recognize
it was Jesus. They spend days with Him yet were unable to see it was Him,
the thing that caused them not to recognize was they seeing a man walking
on water that too in a stormy sea, the fear of the situation had blinded
their sensibility to see.

We hear and do not listen (faith comes by hearing and listening, not just
by hearing), we look and do not see, we perceive and do not understand and
all this happens when we are far from God or far from the truth.

Truth is a Fruit of the Spirit and is good because it saves us and sets us
free from corruption but truth also can also be dangerous if we are not in
right standing with God. A glimpse of the truth causes our step towards
righteousness and this brings us (whole as a body) to receive the truth
which then lets us receive true righteousness (Fruit of the Spirit) when
Jesus comes again. Truth and righteous is what Adam and Eve lost by eating
of the Tree of Doubt (Good and Bad) in Eden (Paradise) which caused them to
become corrupt and be exiled from Eden. So we see doubt is also key factor
for fear like truth can.

Fear can come when truth works in us or when doubt works in us. If it is
fear due to truth then it will help us come closer to God but if the fear
is due to doubt then it will open a window through which Satan to take hold
of us and destroy us. Fear of God is important till we are totally in the
truth (which is far as on now) but let us analyze the root of our fear for
that is key for the direction we tend towards.

Paul stated right until his last letter that we need to work our salvation
(works of righteousness) with fear and trembling. It was only in his second
letter to Timothy he was sure of his crown of righteousness.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are alone are Truth, Righteous and
Holy. In You alone is perfection and You desire we who are your children to
also be perfect like You. Lord we pray we receive your Spirit of Truth so
that the fear in us may not be that which destroys us but that which builds
us in You. Help us grow in You and be overcomers that we may never fear.

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Romans 8:15 For ye received not the spirit of bondage again unto fear; but
ye received the spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Proverbs 9:10 The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; And the
knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

John 6:17-21
17 And entered into a ship, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it
was now dark, and Jesus was not come to them.
18 And the sea arose by reason of a great wind that blew.
19 So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they
see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the ship: and they were
afraid.
20 But he saith unto them, It is I; be not afraid.
21 Then they willingly received him into the ship: and immediately the
ship was at the land whither they went.

2 Timothy 4:8 henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of
righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give to me at
that day; and not to me only, but also to all them that have loved his
appearing.

Deuteronomy 8:6 And thou shalt keep the commandments of Jehovah thy God,
to walk in his ways, and to fear him.

1 Peter 2:17 Honor all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king..

Psalms 23:4 Yea, thou I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I
will fear no evil; for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff, they
comfort me.

1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love: but perfect love casteth out fear,
because fear hath punishment; and he that feareth is not made perfect in
love.

Tried and Tested to make the Right Fit

Mark 2:21 No man also seweth a piece of new cloth on an old garment: else
the new piece that filled it up taketh away from the old, and the rent is
made worse.

We know when we buy new clothes, they then to shrink or expand depending of
the temperature of water and physical force while washing them that is why
new clothes are suggested to be hand washed in cold water to reduce
shrinking. Of late the fabrics are put through a process even before they
are used to make the product so that this effect is greatly reduced. One
must have heard of girls bathing with jeans on so that they get the body
hugging fit.

Today’s message even though talks of clothes yet has nothing to do with
them. It is about us.

God could have not created us as humans but directly made us what we will
become after Judgment Day, but He did not and He chose to put us through a
process so that we become tried and tested so as to perfectly fit into His
plans.

People who think man will continue to be man in Heaven, will be in for a
great surprise, for it is said the things that await is beyond man’s
imagination.

Let us not lose heart or be feeble while we are going through tough
difficult times here on earth (not sicknesses but persecutions) for His
Kingdom’s sake for that assures us we will be amongst those who will be in
Heaven in His glorious design.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty, Omnipresent God. You created all living beings
knowing our nature. Fruits of the Spirit need to be earned and Heaven is
founded on the Fruits of the Spirit thus You put us through a process so
that we engrave your Nature/Name into us. Lord we pray the Truth
strengthens us while we go through the transformation and like Paul said
rejoice in all things, especially through persecution...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Matthew 22:29-30
29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the
scriptures, nor the power of God.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage,
but are as the angels of God in heaven.

Ephesians 4:11-12
11 And he gave some [to be] apostles; and some, prophets; and some,
evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 for the perfecting of the saints, unto the work of ministering, unto
the building up of the body of Christ:

1 Thessalonians 3:13 to the end he may establish your hearts unblameable
in holiness before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with
all his saints.

2 Thessalonians 1:7 and to you that are afflicted rest with us, at the
revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with the angels of his power in
flaming fire,

Revelation 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto
me, See [thou do it] not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that
have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the
spirit of prophecy.

Victory over Death

Romans 6:9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more;
death hath no more dominion over him.

When we read today’s scripture in isolation we think it talks of actual
death. But we look at the preceding and following scriptures we find it
speaks of another death.

In yesterday’s mail I wrote a little about spiritual life, so even though
in the natural God limited life to 120years yet our spiritual life still
continues to be a few thousands of years.

People do not fear God because they lack understanding of spiritual life,
many think they would go to Hell and be killed by some monsters after being
tortured for a short period. They are fooled about Hell being ruled by
Satan (Dragon and the Beast) and their goons, it is like saying criminals
rule a state prison.

Hell is prison like Peter plainly puts. This prison is controlled by the
Angels of God and not Satan (he is bound here until the end). In Hell there
is no pounds of fire or drums of burning oil like depicted by paintings in
the Catholic Church. Hell is a prison where every cell is like a solitude
cell. The fire is not external but internal and is the burning of sins that
each one carries. That means in Hell each one can be aware of the suffering
of the others but cannot see or communicate with them.

Spiritual death is unlike natural death where life switches off. Spiritual
death does not change the time period of the person for it still remains
the same, what death does is cause decay of life by suffering.

If we realize the problem is not sin but the consequence of sin. What sin
does to us in the spirit is horrifying. People think just by getting
forgiven all matter is settled. They do not realize even after Christ died
on the crucifix yet He was still performing a sacrifice and went wandering
in the wilderness and did not allow Mary the Magdalene top touch Him until
He ascended to the Father and returned back. His main goal was not just
forgiveness of sins but more to make peace between man and God so that we
receive the Spirit of God who restores the damages sin does.

Today’s message talks of carnal death which is the removal of the erosion /
corruption caused by sin. This corruption causes us to serve sin like a
drug addict is drawn to drugs. It is only by the power of the Spirit of God
that we can overcome death and this happens not after our natural death but
while we are alive, today’s message it is written not only for Christ but
also for us when those who overcome sin resurrect, death will have no power
over them.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are life and abundant life. You Lord
desire that we too receive this abundant life when we are united / married
with You in Heaven. Lord we pray we understand the dangers and consequences
of sin so that we walk in it no more. We also pray your people truly no
only break the bondage of sin but also undo the damage sin has done to us
by the power and working of the Holy Spirit...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Romans 6:3-13

Acts 13:37 But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.

Romans 8:21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the
bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

Galatians 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap
corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life
everlasting.

1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last
trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised
incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

1 Peter 3:18-20
18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust,
that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but
quickened by the Spirit:
19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God
waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few,
that is, eight souls were saved by water.

John 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended
to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my
Father, and your Father; and [to] my God, and your God.

Matthew 28:7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from
the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see
him: lo, I have told you.

Luke 24:13-15
13 And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus,
which was from Jerusalem [about] threescore furlongs.
14 And they talked together of all these things which had happened.
15 And it came to pass, that, while they communed [together] and reasoned,
Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.
33 And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found
the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them,
49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in
the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

John 20:26-27
26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with
them: [then] came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and
said, Peace [be] unto you.
27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands;
and reach hither thy hand, and thrust [it] into my side: and be not
faithless, but believing.

Giving the wise in the same coin

Mark 11:29,30 And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of
you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do
these things. The baptism of John, was [it] from heaven, or of men? answer
me.

In Apologetics and Polemics we learn how to debate and answer people, the
methods used are from examples stated in the Bible. Here we see Jesus
answering the worldly wise with a question and not with an answer.

When people are not interested to hear your answer but interested to
question and trap you then the best means of answering them is to cross
question them; we see both Jesus and Paul did that in many places.

We should teach about the Bible only to those who desire to learn and grow
in the Lord, hitting people with the Bible or teaching people with devious
intentions to abuse scriptures / mock the Kingdom of God / harm the people
of the Lord is the most foolish thing to do. One should discern whom and
when to teach things of the Bible. It is depending on the condition of our
inner-man that the Lord opens scriptures to us, the purpose of the truth is
to edify, but to a heart not set right in the Lord it can only quicken
destruction.

Some days back I had a session on End-times to a very small crowd and
shared about things which I never dared to for they were real hard things,
even amongst them none received all; each one took a part which they could
digest. I am sure the Lord will over time slowly condition their hearts to
receive in its time since it was He who led me to share it. In the start
itself I told them what they hear they would understand after a month or so..

Let us set our hearts right before God so that we can receive the truth and
be built in Him.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. Although You are present everywhere yet the
Heaven are your abode for your glory shine there the most. Lord we pray we
be carriers of your glory thus help us set our hearts right before You.
Like a deer when it is thirsty even dares to drink water from the water
hole in the presents of carnivorous animals who can kill it, so also give
us the courage to receive your Word at all costs...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Mark 11:27-33
27 And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple,
there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders,
28 And say unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who
gave thee this authority to do these things?
29 And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one
question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these
things.
30 The baptism of John, was [it] from heaven, or of men? answer me.
31 And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From
heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him?
32 But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all [men]
counted John, that he was a prophet indeed.
33 And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus
answering saith unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do
these things.

Matthew 7:6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye
your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn
again and rend you.

Zealous towards God yet far from Him

Acts 22:3,4 I am verily a man [which am] a Jew, born in Tarsus, [a city]
in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, [and]
taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was
zealous toward God, as ye all are this day. And I persecuted this Way unto
the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women.

We come across many who are zealous towards God and these are not only
amongst Christians but also amongst non-Christians. Being zealous does not
mean a person is close to God or the person knows God.

In today’s message we read about Paul who as a Jew was very zealous towards
God and thus to study the Jewish laws, which he assumed were the Law of the
Lord he started his training under one of the most influenced and
celebrated Pharisee in his time. This man Gamaliel was not only famous but
also was the grandson of Hillel a person considered as the facto authority
on Jewish Laws. The Talmundists say that upon the death of Gamaliel the
glory of the law departed.

We find many Christians love to get tagged to famous preachers whom they
consider as their spiritual ‘fathers’ or ‘mothers’ and thus land up far
from God. The Preacher may make them zealous towards God but that does not
mean they lead them to know God. We should realize Jesus Christ was the
only being who saw God the Father yet as man could not lead His own
disciples, He knew no being in the flesh could be the perfect teacher thus
handed them over to His Spirit to lead them. It was on after the disciples
were baptized in the Holy Spirit that they started to understand all that
Jesus as man taught them.

If you are led by a Pastor or Minister of the Lord who is not handing you
over to the Holy Spirit then it is time you rethink following him or her.
Some may take less time while other more time but ultimately one needs to
see some light at the end of the tunnel. If there is no light at the end of
the tunnel than that tunnel leads to darkness and not to light.

Let us remember the Lord Himself said only by His Spirit and His Word
(Truth which the Spirit reveals) that we will be set free.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are Omnipresent and Omnipotent. You are
Spirit and only those who are led by your Spirit can know You and be like
You. We pray Lord we seek your Spirit more than seeking man. May the Sun be
our light source and not the Moon...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Acts 21:19-21
19 And when he had saluted them, he declared particularly what things God
had wrought among the Gentiles by his ministry.
20 And when they heard [it], they glorified the Lord, and said unto him,
Thou seest, brother, how many thousands of Jews there are which believe;
and they are all zealous of the law:
21 And they are informed of thee, that thou teachest all the Jews which
are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying that they ought not to
circumcise [their] children, neither to walk after the customs.

1 Corinthians 14:12 Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual
[gifts], seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.

1 John 5:5-6
5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is
the Son of God?
6 This is he that came by water and blood, [even] Jesus Christ; not by
water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth
witness, because the Spirit is truth.

John 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that
I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but
if I depart, I will send him unto you.

Doing ungodly things in the name of God

John 5:6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time
[in that case], he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?

In the incident of Jesus healing the man with infirmities who laid in wait
besides a lake to take a dip in it at an auspicious time so as to be
healed, since the Jews believed that when the water stirred it was an Angel
of the Lord who did it and thus the first man jumping in it would be
healed. This man had no one to help him and had difficulties in jumping at
that exact timing so waited since years in belief.

In the OT Lord had commanded certain washings as a statutes and the Jews
had taken these statutes to extreme. The Muslims learnt from the Jews their
washing rituals like before meals or before prayer (with a few
modifications). Even today the Jews follow rituals like Mikveh
(purification by dipping in water) which is more pagan.

Mikveh is believed to be originated with the healing of Naaman the Syrian
commander who was a leper at the hands of Elisha, who asked him to take a
dip in the river Jordan. Naaman was not healed because of dipping in water
but by his obedience to a Man of God. In NT scriptures the term washing
used for ‘washing of sins’ is not washing in water but a medical cleanings
like that done to wounds or to a dead body.

Jesus and His disciples detested the traditions of washing of the Jews so
much that they did not wash before meals, not for hygiene reasons but more
so not to certify the Jewish beliefs.

The Catholic Church is famous for its many ‘Church’ traditions which have
nothing to do with Christianity and the Believer Church which came out of
it did not come out clean but carried some of its baggage. Today also if we
introspect our ‘Church’ traditions we will be surprised at their origins.

Let us not blindly follow things even if they are done taking the name of
the Lord or in name of ‘Church traditions’. Let us remember what Paul said
anything done without faith (believing the truth) is sin.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You are Spirit and Truth thus You desire worship
in spirit and in truth. Lord we pray we trust You (your Spirit and your
Word) more than we trust man. We pray we scrutinize all things even if they
are done in your name so that we do not be deceived into vanity and sin
against You...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Aman

[Reference Scriptures]
2 Kings 5:1,9-11
1 Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man
with his master, and honourable, because by him the LORD had given
deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, [but he was] a
leper.
9 So Naaman came with his horses and with his chariot, and stood at the
door of the house of Elisha.
10 And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan
seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be
clean.
11 But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He
will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his
God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper.

Matthew 15:2 Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders?
for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.

Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash
away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

Romans 14:23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because [he eateth]
not of faith: for whatsoever [is] not of faith is sin.
