Protection

Acts 23: 24 And provide [them] beasts, that they may set Paul on, and
bring [him] safe unto Felix the governor.

We have known of famous international Preachers having their own bodyguards
in vehicles who follow in a convoy like head of states / politicians. In
some African countries Pastors are known to have armed bodyguards to keep
them safe.

This Sunday I was at a Christian event celebrating the birth of Jesus which
was held on a beach and taking advantage of the event we were distributing
NT to unbelievers on the beach. Due to some reason I was in the green room
where our famous Indian Worshipers and Preachers were gathered. I was
amazed to see the bodyguard trend has been picked up by our Indian too. Car
coming with a bodyguard has now become a new status symbol. What is
interesting is these very people go on stages and preach to the common man
that the Lord is their protector and they need not fear the enemy! They
preach how not even a strand of hair can be harmed without the Lord’s
consent.

When we see what is going in Churches in the name of Jesus Christ it is so
depressing and causes one to spiritually cry. At times I ask the Lord why
He bears such nonsense. It is understanding the spiritually little doing it
but then when people years and years in the Lord and those who know Him yet
do it is just too much. It is only God’s mercy and patience that keeps
these people.

In today’s message we see Paul been protected by his enemy. The Jews wanted
to encounter Paul and kill him so the Romans come to his rescue. They have
troops (about a hundred of them) protecting Paul who is seated on a horse.
Most manuscripts speak of horses in plural but the Syrian manuscripts
speaks of only one horse. In both cases Paul was in the center of this
large armed convoy.

In our personal spiritual lives if we are strong spiritually Satan cannot
touch us. Life and death is in the hand of the Lord. Enemies may try to
harm us but our protector is greater and more powerful. That does not mean
we should go and confront our enemies. The Greek word translated as
persecution means to be chased, so we are called to flee when the Lord does
not tell us to confront, but in all cases we need to continue doing the
Lord’s work where ever we are.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You have no adversaries but we humans have
adversaries. You Lord can sort out problem in a second but your plans are
we destroy our adversaries ourselves. You Lord enable us to overcome those
who hate us and desire to destroy us. We pray Lord we only fear You and
none other. Let us always know You are in control...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Luke 21:12-19
12 But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute
[you], delivering [you] up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being
brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake.
13 And it shall turn to you for a testimony.
14 Settle [it] therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye
shall answer:
15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries
shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
16 And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks,
and friends; and [some] of you shall they cause to be put to death.
17 And ye shall be hated of all [men] for my name’s sake.
18 But there shall not an hair of your head perish.
19 In your patience possess ye your souls.

Acts 27:34 Wherefore I pray you to take [some] meat: for this is for your
health: for there shall not an hair fall from the head of any of you.

Luke 4:28-30
28 And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were
filled with wrath,
29 And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow
of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down
headlong.
30 But he passing through the midst of them went his way,

Luke 17:33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and
whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

Christians playing the Devil

John 12:43 For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

We as Christians are called to follow Christ which means to be an example
of Him. We may not be perfect 100 percent like Him but if we have nothing
of Him then there is no right in which we can call ourselves Christians.

What is saddening is when we see so called ‘Christians’ follow not Christ
but follow Satan. Satan the Prince of Tyrus desires to be ‘god amongst the
sea’ which means he wants to be god of the people, to be praised and
worshipped by people.

In today’s message we see the Jews in high authority the kind of Nicodemus,
Joseph of Arimathea, and others also known as Jewish Sanhedrim (supreme
judicial and administrative council of the Jews), did not openly confess
that they believed in Jesus Christ for 2 reasons; one they feared they
would be thrown out of the synagogues (ex-communicated) and second mainly
because they loved the praises of the people where they were recognized and
respected.

We may look at the people in today’s message and say they were not worthy
to be Christians, but today we have people who call themselves Christians
who openly declare they believe in Christ but they deny His ways since they
love the praises of people, they love recognition and respect.

If we look at today’s Preachers, Evangelist, Prophets, Apostles (all the
titles they give themselves) seek praises of man, they seek fame, they seek
respect and they seek recognition. Let us understand when we seek praises
of men, recognition and respect of man we are not playing Christ but
playing the devil. We are trying to be little gods amongst man. Like God
told the Prince of Tyrus so also He will cause the fall of these fame
seekers by man who will one day shame them. History is witness that we have
seen this happen time and again.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. There is none as magnificent as You yet a part
of You humbled yourself and became a mere man who was made a shame,
condemned and killed by those who called themselves your people, your
worshippers. Lord we pray we do not fear to be a shamed for your sake. Let
us learn to be little for your Kingdom for your purpose knowing one day You
will lift us up...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Prayer Starter]
Ezekiel 28:2-10
2 Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD;
Because thine heart [is] lifted up, and thou hast said, I [am] a God, I sit
[in] the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou [art] a man, and
not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:
3 Behold, thou [art] wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can
hide from thee:
4 With thy wisdom and with thine understanding thou hast gotten thee
riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures:
5 By thy great wisdom [and] by thy traffick hast thou increased thy
riches, and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches:
6 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast set thine heart as
the heart of God;
7 Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon thee, the terrible of the
nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom,
and they shall defile thy brightness.
8 They shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die the deaths of
[them that are] slain in the midst of the seas.
9 Wilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee, I [am] God? but thou
[shalt be] a man, and no God, in the hand of him that slayeth thee.
10 Thou shalt die the deaths of the uncircumcised by the hand of
strangers: for I have spoken [it], saith the Lord GOD.

United as brethren

Hebrew 2:11,12 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified
[are] all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the
church will I sing praise unto thee.

A few days back someone sent me a Whatsapp message starting with ‘I am a
fan of the letter J because someone’s name starts with J’ and then the
message goes on about Jesus. If the person knew about Biblical languages
then would realize the name in English would be either with a ‘Y’ or ‘I’
for in Hebrew and Greek the sound ‘J’ does not exist and is substituted.

Due to lack of study of Biblical languages there are many theological
confusions that exist within our Church. One of them is highlighted in
today’s message.

Today’s message says anyone who is sanctified is found worthy to be called
a brethren of Christ. In other words only those who are called brethren
will enter Heaven. That also means we may be a mother, father, great
grandfather or great-great grandmother yet we are to become a brethren of
Christ to enter Heaven, any person with any other type of relationship be
it a ‘fan’, ‘friend’ or even ‘admirer’ but not a brethren with not enter
Heaven. So even if Mary the mother of Jesus would have to enter Heaven, she
too would have to be sanctified and become a brethren.

In Heaven there is no other relationship with God’s creation other than
brethren. The only other relationship is with God and that is He as our
Father.

Across all other religions they talk of a ‘Mother / Devi’ in Heaven or of
people being Slaves in Heaven like in Islam.

Lord Jesus Christ is God the Son that does not mean God is our brethren, it
is the humbled God who has become man has made us His brethren. So if we
use term Father (spiritually father means creator, protector and provider)
for Jesus it is not wrong since we were created by Him (before He humbled
Himself) and OT does refer to Him as Eternal Father.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You alone are Father. Jesus as man said not to call
any person a Father for You alone created us, protect us and provide for
us. You created us as humans and even though we have natural fathers yet in
spirit there is only one Father and that is You, humans are just vessels we
come from to understand your ways. Lord we pray we understand the
importance to be called brethren of Christ and how we are sanctified by
Him, made worthy to enter Heaven...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Matthew 23:8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, [even]
Christ; and all ye are brethren.

1 Timothy 5:1-2
1 Rebuke not an elder, but intreat [him] as a father; [and] the younger
men as brethren;
2 The elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity.

Matthew 23:9 And call no [man] your father upon the earth: for one is your
Father, which is in heaven.

Hebrews 2:17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto
[his] brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in
things [pertaining] to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the
people.

1 Peter 3:8 Finally, [be ye] all of one mind, having compassion one of
another, love as brethren, [be] pitiful, [be] courteous:

Revelation 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto
me, See [thou do it] not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that
have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the
spirit of prophecy.

Revelation 22:9 Then saith he unto me, See [thou do it] not: for I am thy
fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the
sayings of this book: worship God.

Satan attacks the weak (poor in spirit)

Acts 6:1 And in those days, when the number of the disciples was
multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews,
because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.

Just a few minutes back I saw a statement ‘As one receives more anointing,
Satan also attacks more’. I know this statement is kind of accepted by all
but when I read it, it did not agree with me and my understanding of
scriptures.

The problem I see lies on the fact people have glorified Satan and made him
a god. We usually see people picture Jesus or Angels of God battling with
Satan and his fallen angels. They really do not understand the concept God
and power of light against darkness or truth against evil.

Bible does say Satan (the beast - prince of Tyrus) wants to be god, but
they do not realize a cherub is not a fool like man to fight his creator.
The scripture says the prince of Tyrus desires to be god over the people
(sea) and not god in Heaven.

Firstly we need to get into us that we are the battle field between God and
Satan. God wants to save us and Satan wants to destroy us and that too in
the hands of God for he has no power over our spirits, so Satan tries to
induce evil into us such that the wrath of God may fall on us and consume
us.

When God gives anointing He is no fool to give something that does not work
or may fail. We find challenges only because of our lack of understanding
of the truth. Many a times we blame Satan for things even when God is
working in us. Yes there are times God allows Satan to attack us but that
too happens only in our weak areas and not our strong area. Job is a
perfect example of this, we see Job was inflected suffering only on his
skin and no other part of him was touched.

Let us not belittle an anointing which God has given but understand Satan
or evil has no power over it or above it. Let us not glorify Satan but
understand God chose us humans worms compared to God’s Heavenly creatures
to be the destroyers of evil. We are called to be reflectors of the light
of God to destroy darkness, Jesus as man became an example for us.

Today’s message shows as disciples grew in numbers Satan attacked those who
were not founded in the truth. Some being Believers yet segregated
themselves according to their culture and nationality.

We need to understand as Christian we are beyond race, culture, nation,
color, gender or anything that differentiates us. Let us strengthen our
understanding of the truth so that Satan has no power over us and fears us
as we are going to be his destroyers.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You alone are God. Nothing exists that can lift its
head up against You. You created all things. You allowed evil for a moment
so that goodness can be manifested and all that You created may be lifted
up knowing the Truth. Lord we pray we do not belittle You or this things
that come from You by glorifying Satan and him a god...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Ezekiel 28: 2 Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the
Lord GOD; Because thine heart [is] lifted up, and thou hast said, I [am] a
God, I sit [in] the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou [art] a
man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:

Luke 22:31-32
31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired [to have]
you, that he may sift [you] as wheat:
32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art
converted, strengthen thy brethren.

2 Corinthians 2:11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are
not ignorant of his devices.

Acts 5:3-5
3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the
Holy Spirit, and to keep back [part] of the price of the land?
4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it
not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart?
thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
5 And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and
great fear came on all them that heard these things.

Romans 16:20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet
shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you. Amen.

Is God playing with us?

Romans 9:19, 20 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he still find fault?
For who withstandeth his will? Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest
against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why didst
thou make me thus?

When I was very little spiritually I used to wonder is God playing with
creation like a child builds a sand castle, molds it beautiful, protects it
but over a period destroys it and rebuilds it. God is God and nothing is
without Him, so whatever exist is not without Him be it good or evil, it is
there because He allowed it. So if Satan is evil, why did God make him so
weak?

There are many religions which think the existence of good and bad is
necessary. In other words both God and Satan are gods. But as I grew
spiritually in understanding scriptures these matters were cleared without
doubt.

To help man understand God’s Kingdom, God made things in an image according
to ‘His kind’ and ‘their kind’ (Genesis 1), and for man to understand Him,
He made man according to His image and woman spiritually in His image
(Genesis 1) but in the natural in the image of man (Genesis 2).

We need to understand life and why everything (almost everything) is born
sexually from an infant stage and needs to gradually grow. These have some
characteristics of their parents but yet are independent and unique in
character. Even though there are some which reproduce asexually (do not
need the other sex) and some which simply split and reproduce yet man was
made without these abilities. Only a parent knows the joy to see a child
grow and be built in an image that stands out.

Coming to the human part of Creation. We as Christians know we are saved by
grace (all the mercy required) and this grace is received by our faith.
That means if I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as my savior then I
receive the grace to be saved from going to Hell and I am considered a
child of God. But children do not inherit and they need to mature to
inherit. It is for this reason our faith needs to grow and needs to be
protected (that is where the Holy Spirit is important). If for any reason I
forsake Christ then can I still be under grace and expect salvation?

Now the question comes is, where does this faith come from. Bible says
faith is both a gift and fruit. When we say faith as gift means the sudden
faith which we receive to overcome a situation. Faith which is required for
salvation is the fruit. We all have a seed of faith in us. A seed and plant
is very different. Seeds are not considered living creature even though
they have life held within it, and it is only when the seed dies that it
reproduced a living plant. These seeds germinate when the Word of God
waters them.

Some of us have non-corrupted seed and many have corrupted seed.
Non-corrupted does not mean perfect but means a seed that can produce
yield, now the yield can be defective genetically or have defects in the
process of it growth. But yield that is considered suitable is when the
result matches the minimum expectation of the sower.

Only God has life within Himself and since the Son came from Him, therefore
the Son also have this ability; all other things which have life have to
grow, develop and they need access to the Tree of Life / River of Life so
as to live eternally (renew life from time to time). It is for this reason
only those who get access to Heaven (upper Heavens) will enjoy eternal life
and for that we need to qualify the minimum expectation of the Creator.

So even though God has created everything and given us all we are yet we
need to grow and evolve, and for that we have the freedom to choose what we
become.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and Creator of all yet You God are not a puppeteer but
given us freedom to choose. You made us living beings that has life and
that which grows and develops. Lord we thank You for this life and thank
for making things so that we understand You and your Kingdom...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
John 5:26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the
Son to have life in himself;

Revelation 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith
unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of
life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Revelation 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of
the river, [was there] the tree of life, which bare twelve [manner of]
fruits, [and] yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree
[were] for the healing of the nations.

Revelation 22:14 Blessed [are] they that do his commandments, that they
may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into
the city.

1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of
incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

Hebrew 10:26-27
26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the
truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation,
which shall devour the adversaries.

Choosing his people than his family

Hebrew 11:24,25 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be
called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction
with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;

We all know the story of Moses, as an infant he was saved from being killed
since his true family put him in a basket and hid him between sea weeds.
There the Pharaoh’s daughter finds him, nurtures him and brings him up, she
becomes his maternal family.

People think Moses was not aware of his roots which is wrong. Moses knew he
was not an Egyptian but was a Hebrew since they looked totally different.
He knew the Pharaoh’s daughter was not his real mother but yet cared for
him, saw he did not lack in any area for he lived like an Egyptian royalty.
Even the Egyptian people knew Moses was a Hebrew but since he was under the
protection of the Pharaoh’s daughter they could not dare speak against him.
It was only when he took the life of an Egyptian that they dared.

Today’s message says Moses forsook not only his royalty, his protection,
his privileges as an Egyptian but also forsook his maternal family, his
Egyptian foster mother since he identified himself amongst his people.

Today’s message is in lines of Matthew 10:37-38.

We need to understand our real family is our Heavenly family. The relations
we have here is a maternal relationship and temporary relationship. In the
natural we may look like everyone else but when we look at ourselves
spiritually we as Christians stand out from amongst the people. We as
Christians cannot live a life like worldly people. We need to make a choice
like Moses to seek our eternal family even at the cost of leaving our
natural family, our comforts, our privileges and experiencing suffering.

Please note as Christians we are responsible towards our parents, our
siblings, our natural family members since the Lord has put us there, so
even in the worse scenario if we are called to leave them yet we do not
break relationship but need to take care of them in whatever way necessary.
It is for this reason divorce is not justified other than adultery and then
too the person cannot get married again till the partner is alive.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You alone are our Heavenly Father, our Creator, our Protector, our
Provider. It is for this reason we do not call our natural parents our
creators, our protectors and our providers, they are vessels through whom
You work. Lord we pray we overcome the natural world and see things with
our spiritual eyes. Give us the courage to face the truth...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Matthew 10:37-38
37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and
he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy
of me.

Matthew 23:9 And call no [man] your father upon the earth: for one is your
Father, which is in heaven.

Unwise Christians

Luke 2:15,16 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them
into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto
Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath
made known unto us. And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph,
and the babe lying in a manger.

There is a saying common sense is not common and we all know it is very
true.

As an Apologist when we debate with Muslims, there are some who still think
the world is flat and the sphere concept is just deception. It is just out
of their imagination to realize the power of gravitational force and to
understand the speed at which the earth rotates. If someone tells them even
if we are still yet some of us are travelling at a speed of 1000miles per
hour these guys think it is a joke. So much so at times we need to tell
these guys if they consider the earth flat, to find the edge and jump off
into Jamnath (Paradise) or Hell.

Amongst Christians too we have a large number of unwise people. Ask a
Christian where was Jesus born and they will say in Bethlehem in a manger.
Ask them who all were around and they will say Mary, Joseph, sheep, goats,
cows, donkey and other cattle. Where do they get this idea? These people
think manger means stable!

The term manger means wooden box which is used to feed cattle. Where was
this box? This box was outside an inn where Mary and Joseph were waiting
for a room. So by logic the only animals around were donkeys and nothing
else, for Jesus was born in something like a parking lot of those days,
since they used donkeys instead of cars.

All know Jesus was not born in December yet all celebrate it. Ask them the
reason and the answer is ‘since we do not know the date does it matter’.
The typical answer is if ‘Jesus is reason of season’ does it matter.

Firstly the dates concerning Jesus’ birth are mentioned in the Bible and
can be confirmed in more than one way. All feats were concerning Christ,
there is a feast ‘Feast of Tents / Tabernacle/ Booths’ (concerning His
birth) during which the census were taken (since all Jews gather in their
hometown during this time). The second way is tracing the birth of Jesus
from the birth of John the Baptist who was six months older of Jesus, also
Elizabeth’s conceiving was on a day which can be traced by Jewish
traditions.

Even by astrologically tracing the event that happened in the sky ‘moving
star’ we can confirm the date. Firstly stars do not move like that. During
that time all heavenly visible bodies were considered stars (we still
called meteorites as shooting stars). Actually it was the planet Jupiter
which is very visible to naked eyes when it is opposite to the Sun. This
year 2018 this event happened in May. What happened then was a special
event which happens once in many, many years.

December is winter time in Israel and during that time shepherds do not
take their sheep out to gaze especially in the night. We see in today’s
message the shepherds to whom Angels appeared were gazing their sheep and
they had the privilege to give homage to the just born Lord Jesus Christ
unlike the wise men (numbers not given) who did so after a few months (we
know this from the term used for Jesus ‘just born infant’/’small child’).

Let us pray God gives Christians wisdom to discern the real reason why
people celebrate Christ-Mass. We are called to celebrate Christ not during
a period but throughout the year. Feast are celebrated in memory of a
historic event and need to be done during that time of the year and not in
another time.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Awesome and Almighty God. You can do anything yet You set a
rule for yourself and we know it as Righteousness. Lord we pray we
understand everything we do with the purpose we do it. We pray your people
come out from the deception and foolishness they dwell in. We pray for
wisdom and discernment...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished

Keeping not just believing

John 8:51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall
never see death.

Sadly for many Christians who think they will enter Heaven to receive
eternal life by just believing in Christ and in His sacrifice, are in for a
great disappointment.

I was just in discussion with someone on this topic and the Lord gave me
this verse to write on; no more appropriate verse.

Believing in Christ and His sacrifice is just step 1 of our journey for
salvation. Keeping His Word that is following Christ is the second part
which brings us to us receiving our salvation.

The problem is people do not understand sin and do not understand being
saved from Hell does not mean entering Heaven.

Jesus paid the price for our sins so that He could make peace between us
and God. It is due to this peace we receive His Spirit and it is only by
the help of His Spirit we are able to keep His Word and be transformed
(mature) into Sons of God. It is only Sons of God (spiritual gender not
natural gender) who will enter the Kingdom of God (Heaven) to receive
eternal life.

Eternal life is not received by eating some tablet but only by having
access to the Tree of Life / River of Life (only God – Father and Son have
eternal life within themselves). That means only if we have access to this
Tree / River of Life which is in Heaven (Upper Heavens) that we will be
able to enjoy eternal life.

In today’s message the Lord Jesus Christ tells us that only those who keep
His Word will enter Heaven, access the Tree of Life and thus will enjoy
eternal life; that means not see death. Interestingly this keeping of the
Word is done with His help, that is the help of His Spirit – the Holy
Spirit. That is why baptism in Christ and in His Spirit are both essential
to enter Heaven.

Those who do believe in Him but do not keep His Word fall in the category
of goats on Judgment Day and we know what happens to them.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God the Heavens are your dwelling place. Before your
glory corruption cannot exist thus You Lord removed man from access to the
Heavens so that he does not perish but is restored and able to dwell with
You. We pray Lord we are not consumed by vanity and understand that
restoration is required that is why You gave us your Spirit. Holy Spirit
work in us and transform us from children unto Sons...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Son to have life in himself;

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be

Revelation 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith
unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of
life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Revelation 22:14 Blessed [are] they that do his commandments, that they

of God.

Romans 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at

Christ.

Revelation 20:11-13
11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face
the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books
were opened: and another book was opened, which is [the book] of life: and
the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books,
according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell
delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man
according to their works.

Glory in the Lord

1 Corinthians 1:29, 30, 31 That no flesh should glory in his presence. But
of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and
righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is
written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

We all are told God is possessive of His glory so any one touching the
glory of God will see His wrath. This is partly true and partly false.

Today’s verse is very specific for it says no flesh should glory, and if
they desire to glory they need to be in Christ Jesus and then glory in the
Lord, it does not forbid glory but defines how.

The Greek word ‘doxa’ translated as glory comes from the root word which
means reputation, pointing toward setting a higher standard. The Hebrew
word ‘kabowd’ for glory means to be weightier or better. So when we say
glory of God and glory of man it means different since man is little before
God.

To glory is not evil but the reason we glory can be evil.

Worldly glory is in natural things and spiritual glory is glory in the
spirit. The greatest danger of glory is spiritual glory. When we glorify
ourselves spiritually we are indirectly making ourselves gods for we are
declaring ourselves as a greater standard.

It is not wrong or evil to rejoice and be proud of our spiritual works but
it is important to understand our level against the levels that exist. The
danger is when we look down or ignore the reality and think we are the
greatest and there is nothing beyond us. The fact Jesus as man never
glorified Himself states as man in the flesh we are like insects before the
spiritual things that exist in the Kingdom of God.

Let us understand the foolishness of trying to touch the glory of God or to
take glory especially in spiritual things. Glory in natural things may not
be evil but may soon lead to spiritual worms like greed, pride and deceit.
If an anointed Cherub like Lucifer can fall and become evil by these
spiritual worms then we are like ants before them.

Today’s message warns us about glory in the flesh and tells us one day we
will surely have glory (high standard) and that will be after Judgment Day
when we are no longer in the flesh and are restored from our corruption
transformed into a spiritual being as Angels. The Angels are the carriers
of His glory.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God and You alone are Holy God. You Lord alone are
worthy of all praise and all glory for none are perfect like You. Lord we
pray we understand the term glory and what it means to touch glory. We pray
we realize how little we are and how far we are from being even worthy to
be able to enter Heaven leave alone glory spiritually. But we know Lord one
day we will receive glory when we are united in God the Son our Lord Jesus
Christ in Heaven...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Jeremiah 9:23-24
23 Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise [man] glory in his wisdom,
neither let the mighty [man] glory in his might, let not the rich [man]
glory in his riches:
24 But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and
knoweth me, that I [am] the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment,
and righteousness, in the earth: for in these [things] I delight, saith the
LORD.

Matthew 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father
with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

Matthew 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven:
and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the
Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Matthew 25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the
holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

1 Peter 4:13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s
sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also
with exceeding joy.

Mark 1:1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

Acts 3:20 that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,
and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus,

Acts 18:28 for he powerfully refuted the Jews in public, showing by the
Scriptures that the Christ was Jesus.

Acts 24:24 After some days Felix came with his wife Drusilla, who was
Jewish, and he sent for Paul and heard him speak about faith in Christ
Jesus.

Romans 2:16 on that day when, according to my gospel, God judges the
secrets of men by Christ Jesus.

Kingdom divided in 3 measures

Luke 13:20,21 And again he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of
God? It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of
meal, till the whole was leavened.

Leaven what we call as yeast is a microscopic fungus that reprocess by
budding, they are capable of converting sugar to carbon dioxide and
alcohol. So they are not dead but living single cell oval creatures that
classify in the plants category. It is the carbon dioxide released by the
yeast that causes bread to puff and soften.

In the OT we see leaven was mostly forbidden in sacrifices or things sacred
to God so much so during Pascal week a Jew is forbidden to even keep yeast
in his or her house, leave alone use it, and if found they are cut off from
the people. The Lord allowed yeast in only one sacrifice and that too in
very small amounts (along with strong alcohol/wine - shekar).

When we go to NT Jesus does not forbid yeast but warns His disciples of
yeast of the Pharisees. In today’s message He also uses yeast to explain
the Kingdom of God. The Greek word translated as yeast is ‘zume’ which
comes from the root word which means ‘to boil’, it refers to that which
remains after most of the water evaporates (residue).

I mentioned before when it comes to terms connected to the sanctuary /
Kingdom even in the NT we should go to the Hebrew word and not Greek word
since the Jews, including Jesus and Apostles used the Hebrew language
amongst themselves and Aramaic for general public, they did not communicate
in Kone Greek (common man Greek) / Latin (high society Greek).

The Hebrew word for yeast is ‘seor’ and comes from the root word which
means ‘remains’. So both the Greek and Hebrew terms speak of the same,
which symbolizes understanding.

The Lord forbid man to use his understand to things concerning sacred to
God like the death of Christ on the crucifix. Paul says the crucifixion is
foolishness to worldly man but victory to those who believe. In the OT the
Spirit of God (who gives understanding) was not given to the congregation
thus yeast was forbidden to them.

In today’s message the parable speaks of a meal divided into 3 portions and
yeast working over them until it fully processed.

Natural yeast breaks something good (sugar) into alcohol (that entices) and
carbon dioxide that softens (gives good feeling). Spiritual yeast
(understanding that comes from God) on the other hand is represented as
light and people who had spiritual understanding are called children of
light, children of the day (the Lord showed me ‘revelation’ that comes from
God as diamonds since they reflect light beautifully).

In today’s message speaks of understanding working on the Kingdom of God
which is people. The people are divided into three categories since they
have 3 different workings of understandings. The division is into those who
are worldly (that reject spiritual understanding), those who believe in God
but have another understanding and those who have the revelation that comes
from God (godly understanding).

The first category we know go to Hell for they are already judged. The
second and third category are the ones who are part of the flock of Christ,
the goats and the sheep respectively. The goats as we know will not enter
the Kingdom of God but will be tormented in the Lake of Fire. It is the
sheep who enter the Kingdom of God. When we use the term anti-Christ it is
not the first category but ironically the second category. It is the second
category who know Christ yet do not work in the understanding that comes
from His Spirit but an understanding that goes against it. Satan himself is
projected as a goat in the OT nothing to do with the animal but as a leader
of those who go against God. Christ on the other hand is projected as a ram
(male sheep) as leader of the sheep. In simple words the understanding
(yeast) that works in the second portion (goats) is anti-Christ / Satanic.

The Lord is telling us to be cautious of the anti-Christ, that spirit
/understanding that is contrary to His. This anti-Christ does not working
outside but within churches, within ‘Christians’, it devours people and
destroys their salvation something the Lord is warning us about through our
last few messages.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty and Holy God. You Lord are light and You existed from
the beginning. Darkness came when your light was obstructed. Lord You have
made man to be the light that shines in the darkness and overcomes it. Lord
we pray we discern the teachings of man and of the anti-Christ. We pray we
do not let worldly and especially anti-Christ understanding work in us. We
pray we learn to receive your understanding so that we be sheep and not
goats...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Exodus 12:15 Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day
ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened
bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off
from Israel.

Matthew 8:11-12
11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and
shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven..
12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness:
there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 25:30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness:
there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

1 John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth [resist] that Jesus is the
Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth [resist] the Father and the Son.

1 John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come
in the flesh is not of God: and this is that [spirit] of antichrist,
whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in
the world.

Is Satan a teacher?

1 Timothy 1: 20 Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered
unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.

In our last message about the parable of the woman who segregates a meal
into 3 portions and lets leaven work on them (Luke 13:201,21), we see Jesus
says leaven (understanding) is like the Kingdom of God which works in all 3
portions, the 3 sets of people. We saw worldly understanding works in one
portion (worldly people/grass), satanic understanding works in the second
(goats) and godly understanding work in the third (sheep).

Today’s message sounds like Paul was outsourcing a job to Satan to teach
the two persons not to blaspheme, as if Satan works for God’s Kingdom.

Before getting to the understanding of today’s message it like to point to
some important facts.

Everything, including Hell, Earth (our creations) and all in the Upper
Heavens is part of God’s Kingdom. God is God and all things are created by
Him. The word ‘Kingdom’ means ‘rule’ or ‘rein’. We normally refer to the
upper Heavens as His Kingdom since His rule is followed perfectly there and
thus His glory is more there. In our creation we claim God’s Kingdom is
come when we see more of His glory and that happens when His rule is
followed.

Coming to Hell which is considered a place of darkness there too it is
God’s Kingdom. We need to understand all things glorify God, be it good or
evil. This statement ‘evil glorifies God’ may surprise many, let me clarify
evil doings do not glorify God but the destruction of evil does. So the day
Satan and his fallen angels will see destruction, God will be glorified.
Bible says at that time every knee will blow to the authority of the Lord
and His glory will be restored to that before darkness came into existence.

Today’s message Paul may be seen as a villain or hard hearted, but
ironically is the opposite. Paul had not given up hope on the two
characters Hymenaeus and Alexander, he still had hope of their salvation.
Paul surrendering them to Satan meant he had removed the protection that
was to him which he had extended to them. He simply broke spiritual
relationship with them. By doing this he took on the extreme step of
letting Satan torment them, but in all this Paul still had hope, hope that
they will realize and return to Christ.

If we look at life we will see worldly people (first lot) will be seen as
most satisfied, if problems come they are soon forgotten. The people of God
(third lots) who know God and follow Him (sheep) will be internally happy,
protected and looked over by the Lord, but will be suffering somewhat for
one God is working in them and two the world hates them. It is in the
second lot the goats that we find a complex situation. They may or may not
be knowing God but the fact God called them to know Him does not let them
enjoy the world; also because they do not follow God they do not experience
inner peace and protection which the third lot experience. It is these lot
that see maximum turmoil in life.

As we move towards end days the first lot reduces and second and third lots
increase. We will see more and more people will come to know God, at the
same time more and more problems will be visible in the world.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You alone are God. There is nothing beyond You and
what You have created. Lord we thank You for choosing us to be amongst
those who know You. But we pray Lord we do not be those in the second lot,
but be those in the third lot. We pray You be our teacher and our
understanding be that which comes from You. We pray for all those in the
second lot that they may reject the corrupt understand and thus come out of
the hold of Satan. May they experience your joy and your protection...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but
righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

1 John 3:13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.

Romans 14:11 For it is written, [As] I live, saith the Lord, every knee
shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

Philippians 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of
[things] in heaven, and [things] in earth, and [things] under the earth;

Obedience causes manifestation

John 14: 21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that
loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will
love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Yesterday we were told that by our behavior people will judge our maturity
and consider us immature or mature. In today’s message the Lord is adding
to the message and speaking about the behavior that we project.

We see many of the Preachers and Evangelist whom we know personally have a
dual character one that is on stage and one off stage, one character before
the congregation and another in private. They are not only good speakers
and preachers but also good actors.

I personally know of Christian leaders who use abusive words, encourage
violence, lie and cheat, and are filled with lust for other women even
though they are married and having kids, but their so called public image
is just the opposite, when they are preaching the ‘Gospel’ or operating in
their gifting which causes people to not discern them.

No one is perfect but as a Christian, God has set limits and areas where He
gives space to overcome and areas where He does not tolerate even a little
and it is for these reason we read of fire consuming God’s people,
poisonous serpents coming out of nowhere and killing God’s people or
enemies taking them into bondages.

World tells us to ‘behave’ ourselves in public which means we put up a show
before people and look good. The Lord is telling us what we project to
people on the external should not be a show but a manifestation of Christ.
Today’s message tells us it is only when we are obedient to Christ and show
our love to Him it causes Him to be manifested in us. The Greek word
translated as ‘in’ also means ‘by’.

Let us look in the mirror and see if Christ is visible in us. Today’s
message tells us people do not see Christ in us manifested because we are
not obedient to Christ and do not truly love Him.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are a Holy God. You Lord are perfect and You desire your children
too to be perfect. Lord You know we are weak beings so You gave us your
Spirit to help us to overcome. Even after receiving your Spirit we fail You
for we grieve your Spirit. Your Word says all kinds of sins will be
forgiven but not grieving of the Spirit. We pray Lord your people
understand the dangers of grieving the Spirit...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
John 14:22-23
22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt
manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my
words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our
abode with him.

John 5:17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say
unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father
do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

Isaiah 57:15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth
eternity, whose name [is] Holy; I dwell in the high and holy [place], with
him also [that is] of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of
the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that
the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of
Christ, he is none of his.

1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because
greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Consider the conduct of the leaders

Hebrew 13:7 Remember those who rule over you, who have spoken the word of
God to you, whose faith follow, considering the outcome of [their] conduct.

Jesus never instructed people to not hear the Pharisees or the Sadducees,
but He did warm people to beware them, their doctrines, their hollow
traditions and their false way of life.

The term doctrine does not simply mean teachings. The Greek word
‘didaskalia’ comes from the word teacher so focuses more on the one
teaching and not only his or her teaching. So when we say doctrine it means
that which the person follows or believes in or professing.

In today’s message the Lord is telling us to discern if preachers or Church
leaders are giving us talks, teaching or giving us doctrines of Christ. To
discern if they themselves are following what they are teaching.

The Greek word ‘kerusso’ translated as ‘preach’ more so means to officially
publish, it is interpreted as ‘to be a herald’. Yesterday’s message told us
to manifest Christ and for that we need to abide in His commandments,
today’s message tells us to preach Christ we also need to follow what we
preach, unless we do not follow we cannot preach.

Let us discern if people are giving sermons about Christ or are preaching
Christ.

Preaching changes life, sermons do not.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. Every time You Lord gave a commandment You used
the term ‘shall’ so You too were obliged to follow what You commanded. Lord
we pray we preach your Gospel and do not talk about it. We pray we believe
it first and follow it first before we instruct others...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Matthew 16:6,11-12
6 Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the
Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
11 How is it that ye do not understand that I spake [it] not to you
concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and
of the Sadducees?
12 Then understood they how that he bade [them] not beware of the leaven
of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

Matthew 23:13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye
shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in
[yourselves], neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

Matthew 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching [for] doctrines the
commandments of men.

Matthew 10:20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father
which speaketh in you.

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove
your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in
you, except ye be reprobates?

Philemon 1:6 That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by
the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

Why worship in songs?

Mark 14:26 And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of
Olives.

In all the Gospels we read Jesus never sang songs or worshipped the Father
with hymns other than this one time before He proceeded to the garden of
Gethsemane, we on the other hand always worship the Lord in songs. Even His
singing was just a psalm.

There was a brother a former Catholic who came to know the Lord. He was not
a great lovers of singing although he did not hate worshiping with songs.
His limit of singing and worshiping was very low compared to others. He
asked ‘brother in Heaven would we get a break in between singing and
worshiping the Lord?’, since he wants to roam around and see Heaven.. He
asked this for he was told in Heaven the Angels endlessly sing and worship
God.

If we look in the whole Bible there are only three verses which are clearly
translated as Angels worshiping the Lord with songs, one in Job and another
two in Revelations, all other verses state the Angels worship the Lord with
cries or shouts of praise. If we get to the roots of the singing words in
these 3 verses we find they too are mistranslated. The Hebrew word ‘ranan’
means ‘singing’ if render in the tense (Hiphil) but if rendered in (Qal)
like in this verse it simply means to ‘cry out’.

If we look at the NT, the Greek word for singing is ‘humneo’. There is
another word translated as singing like in James 5:13 [psallo] which
actually means to string or play the notes on a musical instrument. Coming
to Revelations both the verses 5:9 and 14:3 do not use the verb ‘humneo’
but use the verb ‘ado’ which means ‘to praise’, it is used in Ephesians
5:19 and Colossians 3:16 and is mistranslated as singing instead of
praising.

It surprises people when I tell them in Heaven there will be no singing
although there be endless praising and worshiping God. That does not mean
we should not worship the Lord in songs.

Singing and worshiping God is for man, since singing adds emotions and
feelings to our words. God is not man He does not go by our vocal cords, He
is Spirit so purely goes by our feelings and our expressions and our
spiritual communications. Simple words to poetry to songs increases
feelings and emotions to our words and makes our spiritual communication
better and easier. So if we are a good singer or bad singer makes no
difference to God for Him our songs, quality of voice or music have no
meaning since worship or praise comes from our hearts. As we grow more in
Spirit we reduce on emotional support in our communication with God and it
is simple easy communication.

In the whole life of Jesus there are very few times He was weakened
spiritually like after 40 days of fasting [which allowed Satan to tempt
Him] and the other time was just before He proceeded for His crucifixion.
Before going for His crucifixion Jesus did not fear death or the suffering
[He knew of that long back from scriptures and spoke of it], He feared and
cried in the garden in great grief for He was going to be forsaken by the
Father, even though for a short time.

Today’s scripture shows Jesus the man, as human as you and me. He did
worship the Father in song in His weak moment. Let us too understand we
need to worship the Lord in songs especially when we are low in spirit for
it helps us to build our communication with God.

[Prayer Starter]
Father God You are a loving Father. You are Spirit and You are all knowing
and all seeing. Lord we pray we understand we cannot impress You external
actions or deed unless and internal are not clear. We pray we worship You
in spirit and truth. We pray we understand the worship from our hearts are
more important than the quality of voice or the music...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Job 38: 7 When the morning stars sang [cry out] [tense qal] together, and
all the sons of God shouted for joy?

Luke 2:13-14 And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the
heavenly host praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, And on
earth peace among men with whom He is pleased."

James 5:13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him
sing psalms.

Revelation 15:3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and
the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous [are] thy works, Lord
God Almighty; just and true [are] thy ways, thou King of saints.

Revelation 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take
the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast
redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and
people, and nation;

Revelation 14:3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and
before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song
but the hundred [and] forty [and] four thousand, which were redeemed from
the earth.

Ephesians 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual
songs, singing [ado – praising] and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom;
teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual
songs, singing [ado – praising] with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

John 4:23-24
23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall
worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to
worship him.
24 God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in
spirit and in truth.

The enemy will be put down

Amos 1:14,15 But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall
devour the palaces thereof, with shouting in the day of battle, with a
tempest in the day of the whirlwind: And their king shall go into
captivity, he and his princes together, saith the LORD.

In the OT the Israelite tribe had many enemies but a few mentioned in Amos
1 stood out amidst all which angered the Lord like Damascus, Gaza, Tyrus,
Ammonites and Edomites. In other places we find mentions of the Moabites
and the Canaanites. Even in the NT Jesus used the term dog to the Canaanite
woman. What is interesting the worse lot like the Assyrians (whose capital
was Nineveh), who had caused more grave atrocities against the Israelites
than even what Hitler did to the Jews; these too were forgiven by the Lord
(it was for this reason Jonah fled in another direction for he knew the
Lord would forgive them) but the people like Edomites, Ammonites, Moabites
and Canaanites were not. Was God unjust to these people, for everyone is
not the same and one cannot be held for the sins of their fore fathers?

Last few days the Lord was talking to us about the natural and spiritual.
In the Bible, especial OT everything is symbolic and the natural, like name
and some of the historic, natural characteristics are symbolic to the
spiritual. Paul and Peter (later) understood this well. Most preachers
wrongly talk of Christians as being aliens to this world mixing to 1 Peter
1:1 with John 17:14.

Let us understand God gave us dominance of this world. This world belongs
to us, every resource of this world is made for our benefit and all natural
powers were made to listen to us and not go against us. We are called to be
kings (Princes / Israel) of this world but due to sin we lost our kingship,
our authority. Jesus came to restore our kingship and thus is called Chief
of Princes. When we mature spiritually and transform into Sons of God we
would have powers like the 2 witness mentioned in Revelation.

Due to sin we allowed corruption into the world and thus Satan the prince
of doubt /faithlessness (air) rules this world causing another spirit to
control it. If we read 1 Peter 1:1 Peter speaks of being the Apostle to the
aliens / those in exile in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia.
Peter in 1 Peter 1:1 says the worldly people who are under the worldly
spirit are classified into 5 groups (I am taking this for it is simpler
than me explaining Amos 1).

Pontus (means ‘sea’) – speaks of those who are spiritually asleep. Those
who do not care the purpose of life, they live to survive and die.
Galatia (means ‘land of Gauls’) – speaks of those who are deep into
traditions. These do traditions without understanding and feel religious,
satisfied because they do them.
Cappadocia (means ‘province of good horses’) – speaks of those who pursue
prosperity. These people run a race of riches, power, fame etc. even though
they know when they die they take none of it yet for self-satisfaction and
at time an addiction they do it.
Asia (means ‘orient’, ‘eastern’) – speaks of those who are earthly or into
human spirits making humans into gods or earthly powers into gods.
Bithynia (means ‘violent rushing’) – speaks of those who are rebellious.
These are people filled with anger and hatred, everything they do even if
it is religious is destructive.

Peter was selected to lead the Jews to Christ yet he described them into
these 5 categories because all unbelievers fall into these 5 categories.
Before coming in Christ we were people under the power of the worldly
spirit and ignorant of the Kingdom of God. Today we are moving from the
power of the worldly spirit unto the Kingdom of God.

Today’s message is against the people of Ammon (which means tribal /
nation) which is the worldly people. The Lord is saying He will raise a
battle against them and cause their rulers and leaders to fall.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. All that exist is created by You for a purpose
and that purpose is the salvation of your people. Lord we pray we
understand there is no power above You and anything that lifts its head
against You will soon be made nothing. We pray we understand who we are in
You and the authority You have given us...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
John 17:14 I have given them thy word; and the world hated them, because
they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

Revelation 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall
overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that
are with him [are] called, and chosen, and faithful.

1 Peter 1:1-2
1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout
Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through
sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of
Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

Ephesians 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of
this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit
that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

1 Corinthians 2:12 But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the
spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given
to us by God.

1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.
If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

It is different!

Romans 12:20,21 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst,
give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

As part of the Gideon’s ministry we participate in secular book fairs where
we present people the NT free. At a recent event when I was managing the
stall we have some people questioning us as to why we giving the NT (Bible)
free, a few even directly questioned us if we were trying to convert?

Using wisdom I would share how this book benefited me and many others. I
would take a few examples from the book compared to other books. I would
ask them about things like forgiving those who hurt, all other books advice
we forget and not let the incidents trouble us. But people agreed this does
not work since the incident sometime or other time becomes a fresh wound
and pains us. The Bible is the only book in the world which gives simple
and perfect solutions to impossible personal and spiritual problem. In this
way we were able to distribute hundreds of copies of the NT believing the
book will speak to them more than earthly problems.

Today’s message speaks of how to destroy the enemy. The person who hurts us
is not the enemy but the one controlling the person and causing the person
to do things is our real enemy. The Bible tells us not to respond to the
person in the way the person does but overcome evil with good. We are
called to love, serve and pray for that person, by doing this we
disassociate the person from the one who is controlling the person. We are
actually doing spiritual warfare and attacking the right enemy and not the
Trojan horse shell. If we respond in the worldly manner we will only give
victory to the real enemy since for the real enemy it does not matter who
is destroyed, we or the Trojan horse, destruction pleases it.

Let us be wise and discern the true enemy so as to not cause collateral
damage. Let us understand there is a spiritual battle behind most natural
events.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God. You are Spirit and your Kingdom is Spirit world. We know
Lord our natural world is temporary and cease to exist when we are
transformed, the enemy know this too therefore does not want us to be
transformed and causes us to be carnal and worldly. Lord we pray we see
things more clearly and discern the true enemy. Fill us with wisdom and
understanding that we may discern all things. Give us courage and a heart
like yours so that we take the bold step in the natural so as to annihilate
the spiritual enemy...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scripture]
Romans 12:16-18
16 [Be] of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but
condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight
of all men.
18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men..

Matthew 5:38-48
38 “You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a
tooth.’
39 But I say to you, Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone
slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.
40 And if anyone would sue you and take your tunic, let him have your
cloak as well.
41 And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles.
42 Give to the one who begs from you, and do not refuse the one who would
borrow from you.
43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and
hate your enemy.’
44 But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute
you,
45 so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes
his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on
the unjust.
46 For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not
even the tax collectors do the same?
47 And if you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than
others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same?
48 You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Just stopping evil is not the solution

Ephesians 4:28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour,
working with [his] hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give
to him that needeth.

There is a great deception in man, that if a person does not do evil than
that person is good. People mostly think if I do not lie, steal, hurt
people in any way then I am a good person, eligible to go to Heaven.

We need to understand as humans born with a sinful nature (even if we have
done no sin even as infants we still inherit the nature to sin) so are by
default in the negative, sin just feeds the negative in us. When it comes
to God, He looks at two things from us, one is we stop whatever evil we are
doing and second we do good works.

We in worldly wisdom may think God first wants us to stop doing evil and
once we completely stop doing evil, then we should start doing good works;
that is a wrong thinking.

We need to understand born in sinful nature requires us to completely
destroy to that nature we are born with and that will not happen in a day.
Even a person baptized in Christ and the Holy Spirit overcomes a large part
of his or her evil nature by the grace of God but does not come out
completely perfect, he or she still has to battle some areas and that will
take time. God knowing the time we require to overcome the evil nature asks
us to concentrate on good works. Even though God gives priority to good
works yet He does not ignore the evil in us, He does want us to stop the
evil but as we get on to do good works we will slowly stop and overcome the
evil in us more easily. We do not fight evil by stopping it but overcome
evil with good.

Let us not be in deception that we are good Christians because we are not
doing any civil evil or things that are visible. Let us remember we as
humans are filled with evil in our hearts; our thoughts, the little things
we do in private, out of people’s sight are evil. We need to concentrate on
doing good works at the same time we also need to not keep feeding the evil
in us. Good works does not necessary mean social works. Social works are
necessary but are like physiotherapy to a person suffering from medically
problems and thus pain. Such a person needs medical help which works from
inside and at the same time needs immediate relief to bear the pain.

Jesus did not said the world will know as God’s children and His disciples
by the evil we do not do or do less than others, He said the world will
know us as God’s children and His disciples by our good works.

A Christian ‘holy-man’ will not be found on the mountain or in an ashram
but will be found in the streets and in the houses of those in need and in
trouble, ministering to them spiritually, healing them, delivering them
from bondages, as well as working amongst the people for their social and
natural needs.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty, Holy, Righteous and Truth. In Heaven they worship
You by shouting Holy, Holy, Holy, for You alone are Holy. Lord may we
understand holiness as not doing less evil or no evil but holiness which is
also written as complete goodness / perfection is when we do good while not
doing any evil. Father we pray we may shine your light by our good works
and be seen as your children...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Romans 7:18-21
18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing:
for to will is present with me; but [how] to perform that which is good I
find not.
19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not,
that I do.
20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that
dwelleth in me.
21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny [him],
being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your
good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

2 Corinthians 9:8 And God [is] able to make all grace abound toward you;
that ye, always having all sufficiency in all [things], may abound to every
good work:

Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth
that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart
bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his
mouth speaketh.

Romans 12:21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Religious Fanatic vs Spiritual

Acts 23: 21 But do not thou yield unto them: for there lie in wait for him
of them more than forty men, which have bound themselves with an oath, that
they will neither eat nor drink till they have killed him: and now are they
ready, looking for a promise from thee.

In today’s era every person who is religious to any major belief is
considered a fanatic, but interestingly those who dip into unknown mystical
beliefs are considered spiritual. There is a good saying ‘all those who
claim to be spiritual should remember Satan too is a spirit being’.

As per definition a fanatic is defined as a person filled with excessive
and single-minded zeal, especially for an extreme religious or political
cause.

So any person who extremely loves God and considers the path he or she
follows as the only path then that person would be classified as a
fanatic. If we go by this then all Christians are fanatics and if they are
not fanatics then they are not Christians.

As per the world a spiritual person is defined as a person relating to or
affecting the human spirit or soul as opposed to material or physical
things. If we go by this then a Christian is not a spiritual person for we
do not communicate or are led by one’s own spirit or soul.

Christian definition of a fanatic is a person who uses force or physical
violence against people who are following other beliefs. A spiritual person
as per Christian definition is a person led by the Spirit of God and any
person who communicates and led by any other spirit is anti-God or demonic.

No Christian can use force or any deceptive ways against people of other
beliefs to stop them from following their belief or try to convert them to
follow Christianity. Such a person would not be a Christian and a disciple
of Christ. As a Christian we are called to enlighten people with the truth.
We do not sell our God as a better god but acknowledge Him as the only God.
We do not sell Christianity as a better religion but acknowledge it as a
relationship between God and man. We do not sell better benefits by
following Christianity but in fact know becoming a Christian would cause
the world to hate us; we acknowledge following Christianity allows a person
to reap the purpose God created man.

Let us not give people Jesus or give them a Bible but let us present Jesus
and present them a Bible, let Jesus and the Word of God speak to them and
prove as being the only way to the only existing God.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God You created all things and all things that exist are by
You alone. Lord we pray we do not project You as a better god, nor project
Christianity as a better religion. We pray Lord we show You alone are God
and Christ is the only way to You. We pray people may see You the light in
us and follow You...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Acts 23:12 ¶ And when it was day, certain of the Jews banded together, and
bound themselves under a curse, saying that they would neither eat nor
drink till they had killed Paul.

Exodus 23:2 Thou shalt not follow a multitude to [do] evil; neither shalt
thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest [judgment]:

Exodus 22:21 Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for ye
were strangers in the land of Egypt.

Exodus 23:9 Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the heart
of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

Leviticus 19:34 [But] the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto
you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were
strangers in the land of Egypt: I [am] the LORD your God.

Man of God amongst his people?

Matthew 4:21-22 And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James
[the son] of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their
father, mending their nets; and he called them. And they immediately left
the ship and their father, and followed him.

There is a verse which is very commonly used Matthew 13:57 where Jesus said
that He was a Prophet [Man of God] without honor and despised by His own
people.

When Jesus said this He was not setting a rulebook that all Prophets would
be despised or dishonored by his/her people. Jesus was simply stating the
prophecy about Him as given by Isaiah that His own people (Jews/Israel)
will disown Him and reject Him as their Savior.

Jesus was not despised by all Jews or His own people for a few did follow
Him. Yes His own brothers and sisters (children of Mary and Joseph) did not
accept Him as a Man of God while He was alive. It was only after His death
and resurrection we see James and Jude (Judas) His brothers, believed Him
and followed Him. About His other brother Jose and His sisters (more than
1) nothing is written about them accepting Him. But we see His far cousin
[John the Baptist son of Elizabeth the cousin of Mary] and close cousins
did believe Him and follow Him. John and James the sons of Zebedee [a nick
name given to their father and them] were sons of Salome the sister of Mary
[also called Mary by Jesus since He respected her and other women in His
group as His own mother]. John and James were business partners with Simon
[nicknamed Cephas – Petros – Peter] and he too followed Jesus. So we see
Jesus first connected with people near Him and started His fulltime
ministry.

We as Christians are called to shine the light of Christ in our own
neighborhood as well as amongst those whom we do not know. If people around
us are not accepting us let us not hide behind Matthew 13:57 and not
introspect our ways or correct ourselves. Let us make sure we are not
misrepresenting Christ in our house while becoming a shining light outside.

People who know our past may have difficulties in accepting us but that
does not mean every one of them will reject us. Being a Christian has to
bring a change in people around us and if that fails then our
‘Christianity’ is ineffective and non-genuine.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty and Holy God. You are light and darkness cannot exist
before You. Lord we pray as Christians we show You in us and not us as good
people. We pray we bring change in people because You are working in us and
through us. We may not change all but You Lord have not made mistake to
putting us in barren land but have put us in fertile grounds...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

It is all about Fruits

John 15: 8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so
shall ye be my disciples.

In yesterday’ message the Lord spoke about how the working of the Holy
Spirit while we are alive is key to our resurrection. Today’s message the
Lord is expounding on it by telling us the Fruits of the Holy Spirit are
key to the salvation of mankind; one may wonder how and why?

Fruit of the Spirit like Love, Faith, Peace, Joy, Longsuffering,
Gentleness, Goodness, Meekness and Temperance mentioned in Galatians
5:22-23, and Truth, Righteousness and Holiness mentioned in Ephesians 5:9
are not just emotions, feelings or nature but in the spirit world are more
real than diamonds or precious stones found in this world.

It may surprise many that to understand the 12 Fruits of the Spirit we need
to study gemology. We do not have to look up all hundreds of precious
stones that exist. The Bible in fact gives the list of 12 stones which
symbolize the 12 Fruits of the Spirit. These are the stones that were on
the breastplate of the High Priest symbolizing the 12 tribe of Israel.
These are the same 12 stone which are mentioned in Revelations as the
foundation on which Heaven exist. So in reality the true yield of Israel
(Sons of God) is not the 12 tribes but the 12 Fruits of the Holy Spirit. In
Heaven we are identified by the Fruit of the Spirit (which we yield the
most). In fact Jesus choosing 12 Apostles was to do with the 12 Fruits of
the Spirit.

Baptism and salvation can be truly understood by the Fruits of the Spirit.
The 9 mentioned in Galatians we as humans have (in small measures) and can
grow but are incomplete (corrupt) without the 3 mentioned in Ephesians.
Truth and Righteousness we lost when Adam and Eve sinned. By the sacrifice
of Christ we receive the Holy Spirit (the Spirit of Truth) from whom we
receive and grow in the Fruit of Truth. The Fruit of Truth is a gifted to
us by the Holy Spirit (for He reveals the Truth). Righteousness is what we
receive from the Son on Judgment Day if we have the Fruit of Truth in us
(which is complete in us when we do the Will of the Father). Only if we
have Righteousness and Truth will we be able to enter Heaven and receive
the Fruit of Holiness from the Father. Note: Israel was allowed to cross
into the Promised Land by crossing the river Jordan (means inheritance)
without Joseph (who was substituted by his son). Judas being 1 of the 12
and failing yet we see salvation is also to do with the same.

Today’s message tells us we fail to be Christians if we do not have the
Fruits of the Spirit so let us not try to fool the Lord with being namesake
disciples of Christ / Christians for what the Lord sees in us is if we have
the Fruits of the Spirit.

Growing in the 9 Fruits and Fruit of Truth which we receive from the Holy
Spirit sets us free for this world and sets us into Heaven where we have
access to the Tree / River of Life so as to enjoy eternal life. It is for
this reason Jesus said the Truth sets us free.

Fruits give life and sin eats up the Fruit in us that is why sin brings
death. Repentance and forgiveness of sin stops the further erosion of the
Fruits in us but it is only by our abiding in Christ (by which we receive
the Holy Spirit) that the restoration of the Fruits in us happens. The
corruption of the Fruits is removed and Fruits (image of God) restored in
us by the working of the Holy Spirit and thus we become Sons of God or Sons
of Resurrection.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Holy, Righteous and Truth. As man by sin we lost Righteousness
and Truth and were disallowed our access to Heaven so that we are restored
of our Fruits. Lord we pray we understand the importance of the Fruits of
the Spirit. We pray we work towards bearing more Fruit and growing into
Sons of God / Sons of Resurrection...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Galatians 5:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Ephesians 5:9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and
righteousness and truth;)

Exodus 28:21 And the stones shall be according to the names of the
children of Israel, twelve, according to their names; like the engravings
of a signet, every one according to his name, they shall be for the twelve
tribes.

Exodus 39:14 And the stones were according to the names of the children of
Israel, twelve, according to their names; like the engravings of a signet,
every one according to his name, for the twelve tribes.

Revelation 21:10-14
10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and
showed me the holy city Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,
11 having the glory of God: her light was like unto a stone most precious,
as it were a jasper stone, clear as crystal:
12 having a wall great and high; having twelve gates, and at the gates
twelve angels; and names written thereon, which are [the names] of the
twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
13 on the east were three gates; and on the north three gates; and on the
south three gates; and on the west three gates.
14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them twelve
names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

Revelation 22:2 in the midst of the street thereof. And on this side of
the river and on that was the tree of life, bearing twelve [manner of]
fruits, yielding its fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for
the healing of the nations.

Genesis 2:9 And out of the ground made Jehovah God to grow every tree that
is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the
midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Genesis 3:24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the
garden of Eden the Cherubim, and the flame of a sword which turned every
way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

Revelation 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to
the churches. To him that overcometh, to him will I give to eat of the tree
of life, which is in the Paradise of God.

Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that wash their robes, that they may
have the right [to come] to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates
into the city.

Revelation 22:19 and if any man shall take away from the words of the book
of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the tree of life, and
out of the holy city, which are written in this book.

Sons of Resurrection do not die

Luke 20:36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the
angels; and are the children [Sons] of God, being the children [Sons] of
the resurrection.

Jesus told those who questioned Him about those who resurrect and go to
Heaven as being like the Angels. Jesus also told them that Sons of God do
not die for they are Sons of Resurrection.

The Greek word translated as resurrection is the word ‘anistemi’ and simply
means to rise up. So the NT uses the same word for rising up like standing
on one’s feet but does not translate it as resurrection in these places.
Resurrection refers to the rising up of one’s spirit. Resurrection of the
dead means the spirit being (soul and spirit) moves from the lower realm to
higher realm of the spirit world / Heavens, the lowest level being Hell.
Hell being a prison controlled by Angels of God, no one can resurrect from
Hell, Jesus alone did (with a few from the time of Noah who were still
there) since He was without sin and could not be kept there (He was sent
there because He was forsaken for taking our sins on Himself). Any one
saying they visited Hell and returned is a lie and unbiblical. No man can
also go to upper Heavens because we all get judged and are transformed /
transfigured (as Jesus put into Angels and as man He demonstrated it), this
process Paul puts as corrupt becoming incorruptible on Judgment Day. Jesus
as man was the only one who has access to Heaven since no corruption was
found in Him (From man Jesus He will revert to His former glory as God the
Son, and part of the Father after we enter Heaven).

When we see scriptures we find Angels refer to man as fellow associates for
they await our transformation. Like man so also the Angels and all heavenly
beings are a creation of God the Son.

Jesus said no being has seen the Father other than (God) the Son, so along
with man, the Angels too await becoming one with the Father.

There is one thing scriptures also tells us the resurrection power does not
work after we die but before we die. It was by the power of the Holy Spirit
that Jesus as man was maintained to be without sin and thus saw
resurrection. We are born in sin but unless we do not let the Holy Spirit
work in us when we are alive we will not become Sons of God and thus will
not see resurrection.

If we want to experience eternal life let us not wait for death but work
towards it while we are still alive. Let us surrender to the Holy Spirit so
that we are transformed within so as to see transformation into Angels on
our Resurrection Day.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You alone are God. All things as your Word says are
created by the Son and for the Son. It is through Him alone we see creation
be lifted up and receiving your glory. Lord we pray are not deceived to
wait for something to happen after we die but let it happen today so that
we do not see eternal death...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Acts 2:34 For David ascended not into the heavens: but he saith himself,
The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

Luke 20:34-36
34 And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry,
and are given in marriage:
35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the
resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:
36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and
are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

Revelation 19:10 And I fell down before his feet to worship him. And he
saith unto me, See thou do it not: I am a fellow-servant with thee and with
thy brethren that hold the testimony of Jesus: worship God; for the
testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Revelation 22:9 And he saith unto me, See thou do it not: I am a
fellow-servant with thee and with thy brethren the prophets, and with them
that keep the words of this book: worship God.

1 Corinthians 15:51-55
51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We all shall not sleep, but we shall all
be changed,
52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the
trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we
shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put
on immortality.
54 But when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this
mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying
that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting?

Childlessness

Luke 1: 13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy
prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou
shalt call his name John.

Elisabeth was the cousin of Mary the mother of Jesus. She was of age and
had no children even though she and her husband were devote followers of
the Lord. For the Jews childlessness was considered a curse in marriage for
they knew the purpose of marriage was to bear children.

In most religions we see the woman has always borne the blunt of
childlessness and considered the reason. People are not aware medically 20
out of 100 men have temporary infertility problems (curable) and only 1 out
of 100 have medical problems with production of sperm. Some of the studies
done show women on the other hand are less than half cause for infertility
compared to men; but their numbers grow with age compared to men. The
percentage of infertility amongst women doubles every 20 years.

In the Bible we see the Lord had a different view compared to the world and
thus gave command that if the couple are childless and the husband dies,
the brother of the husband marries the woman and bears children. This was
not to promote incest/marriage between close relations but to protect the
reputation of the woman as not always being the reason of childless
marriage.

In today’s message we see the Lord delayed the birth of an infant in the
lives of Zacharias and Elizabeth so that they would fulfil prophecy of
bearing the one who will announce the coming of the Savior. This was a very
important event in the timeline of mankind so much so when Elijah knew of
it he prayed to come back as the one and thus was taken up without seeing
death. The delay of birth in the lives of the cousin of Mary helped build
the faith of Mary to say yes to the coming of the Savior. Mary was devote
follower but was not that strong in faith and we have seen many times the
shaking of her faith. The Lord knew therefore made the impossible possible
so that she believes and says yes.

The naming of John by the Angel was amongst the very few whom the Lord gave
a name directly. The word means "Jehovah is a gracious giver".

Today the Lord is telling those couples who are childless that the Lord is
a gracious giver and can heal their marriage. Personally I and my wife have
experience this healing grace of God (we had a child after 6 years of
marriage) thus named our child Salome meaning peace, since we made peace
with the Lord.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Jehovah Rapha the Lord that heals. We know Lord it is not in
your anger that keeps us from bearing fruit in our marriage but our
distancing from You that causes us not to bear fruit. Lord we pray all
those who are childless make peace with You so that their marriages are
blessed...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Deuteronomy 25:5 If brethren dwell together, and one of them die, and have
no child, the wife of the dead shall not marry without unto a stranger: her
husband’s brother shall go in unto her, and take her to him to wife, and
perform the duty of an husband’s brother unto her.

Malachi 4:1-6
1 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the
proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that
cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave
them neither root nor branch.
2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with
healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the
stall.
3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the
soles of your feet in the day that I shall do [this], saith the LORD of
hosts.
4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in
Horeb for all Israel, [with] the statutes and judgments.
5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the
great and dreadful day of the LORD:
6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the
heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth
with a curse.

Matthew 17:10-13
10 And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that
Elias must first come?
11 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come,
and restore all things.
12 But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not,
but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son
of man suffer of them.
13 Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the
Baptist.

Mark 9:13 But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have
done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him.

Luke 7:28 For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is
not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the
kingdom of God is greater than he.

John 10:41 And many resorted unto him, and said, John did no miracle: but
all things that John spake of this man were true.

Matthew 11:13-15
13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.
14 And if ye will receive [it], this is Elias, which was for to come.
15 He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Luke 1:34-38
34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a
man?
35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Spirit shall come
upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore
also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of
God.
36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her
old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.
37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.
38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according
to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

In the name of fellowship

1 Corinthians 11:20,21 When ye come together therefore into one place,
[this] is not to eat the Lord’s supper. For in eating every one taketh
before [other] his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.

In today’s message we see the Christians of the Church of Corinth being
rebuked by Paul and his team for gathering in the name of sharing the
Lord’s Table but then having a get-together, eating and getting drunk.

These people were just following Jewish culture of meeting in a room
attached to the synagogue to fellowship by sharing meal and wine.

As Christians we may be having many things common with the Jews like the OT
books and history of the coming of Christ. But we as Christians having
little to do with Jewish culture, traditions and interpretation of
scriptures. If we follow their interpretation then we could have to forsake
Jesus Christ since they do not accept Him as Christ and Savior. As per
their understanding of scriptures the Savior was to come to save only
Israel and not the world as Jesus claimed to be.

Paul here uses the term heresy for these Jewish Christians who still partly
follow Judaism. The Lord’s Table was the table of the feast of unleavened
bread so had simple unleavened bread and wine (non-alcoholic wine / grape
juice since yeast was not allowed neither in the bread nor the wine).

When we induce other cultures, traditions and understanding into
Christianity we do not add or edify it but in fact we lose by corrupting
the teachings of Christ.

Festivals in Christianity are a statutes and are for children (spiritual
children) so as to grow in understanding. As a person matures in Christ
things are so blank of worldly happiness, anything and everything is seen
with spiritual eyes.

Man is so addicted to rituals, traditions and celebrations just to have
bonding with other worldly people (including worldly Christians) not
knowing these things hinder our bonding with Christ and God the Father.

Let us not be children forever but mature and free ourselves from worldly
ways by following more the spiritual ways. Let us be sober in all things
that we do and grow in our relationship with the Father.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and the Heavens are your abode. You are omnipresent yet it
is in the Heavens where You have your throne. Lord we pray we imitate You
and even though we are physically in this world yet spiritually we dwell in
your Kingdom. May we grow day by day more spiritual and less carnal...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
1 Corinthians 11:18-22
18 For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that
there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.
19 For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved
may be made manifest among you.
20 When ye come together therefore into one place, [this] is not to eat
the Lord’s supper.
21 For in eating every one taketh before [other] his own supper: and one
is hungry, and another is drunken.
22 What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the
church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall
I praise you in this? I praise [you] not.

1 Thessalonians 5:8 But let us, since we are of the day, be sober, putting
on the breastplate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of
salvation.

2 Timothy 4:5 But be thou sober in all things, suffer hardship, do the
work of an evangelist, fulfil thy ministry.

Is love conditional?

John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as
I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

We always have spoken of ‘unconditional love’; does that exist?

People call God’s love as unconditional love and yet speak of Judgment Day
where the Lord will judge all of His folk. One of the aspects of God is
that He is slow to anger, ‘slow to anger’ does not mean He does not get
angry.

Let us stop fooling ourselves and thus take God for granted. The Lord is
merciful but as He says He does not have mercy on everyone, but only on
those whom He chooses to and does not on those He chooses not to. This
choosing is not random but conditional i.e. we can keep praying to God for
His mercy and there is no guaranty of receiving it. While grace is all the
mercy required and can be received by faith. That means if we show faith we
receive abundant (as much required) mercy. So a prayer of faith does not
need one crying to God for mercy.

Today’s message talks of continuing in the love of the Lord. Jesus says if
we be obedient to the Lord we will remain in the Father’s love. We cannot
take God for granted neither His mercy, His grace nor His love.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are a Merciful and Loving Father. You love your children
unconditionally but to be your children we need to fulfil the condition of
being in your image. Lord we pray we abide in You so as to be receiving
from You...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Numbers 14:18 Jehovah is slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness,
forgiving iniquity and transgression; and that will by no means clear [the
guilty], visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, upon the
third and upon the fourth generation.

Psalms 145:8 Jehovah is gracious, and merciful; Slow to anger, and of
great lovingkindness.

Romans 9:15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I have mercy,
and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.

Hebrews 10:30 For we know him that said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I
will recompense. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

Children to Sons – Paidion to Huios

John 21: 5 Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They
answered him, No.

We find the NT English translations uses the term child or children to many
different Greek words. It is important to know why different words are used
so as to understand the real context of the scripture.

I listed below the various Greek words and their simple meaning [there is
lots more to these words but that would be a lot to cover here].

Pais παῖς [3816]-refers to a child of any age
Paidion παιδίον [3813]-refers exclusively to little children
Paidarion παιδάριον 3808-refers to a child up to his first school years
Paidiske παιδίσκη [3814]-refers to late childhood and early youth
Teknon τέκνον [5043]-gives prominence to physical and outward aspects of
parentage
Huios υἱός [5207]-gives prominence to the inward, ethical, legal aspects
of parentage

Pais, Teknon denote a child alike as respects to descent and age, reference
to the later being more prominent in the former word, to descent in
Paidion; but the period Paidion cover is not sharply defined; and, in
classic usage as in modern, youthful designations cleave to the female sex
longer than to the male.

We see in today’s message Jesus refers to His disciples literally as little
children [spiritually] as we refer to toddlers. Jesus uses this term to
them even after putting them through 3 years of training and more so after
breathing into them His Spirit.

Spiritual maturity does not come by knowledge or by years of doing
Christian activities. Even after we are baptized in Jesus Christ and
receive the promise of the Holy Spirit yet we are considered as spiritual
toddlers. It is only after baptism in the Holy Spirit like the Apostle had
at Pentecost did they start to spiritually grow and as they gradually
started following the instructions of the Holy Spirit they started their
journey from Paidion to Huios. Huios is mostly translated as Son and does
not mean just male child but means mature, ethnic [edifying] and legal
[heir].

Let us not be fooled to think toddlers will go to Heaven. Let us be led by
the Holy Spirit and grow in maturity by our own walk, edifying the people
of the Kingdom and thus being inheritors of the Kingdom.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are King of Kings and Lord of Lords. You Lord called us to be
Israel – Princes of God – Sons of God. Lord we pray we do not be toddler
but be baptized in your Spirit and grow to become Sons...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
John 20:19-23
19 When therefore it was evening, on that day, the first [day] of the
week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were, for fear of
the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace
[be] unto you.
20 And when he had said this, he showed unto them his hands and his side.
The disciples therefore were glad, when they saw the Lord.
21 Jesus therefore said to them again, Peace [be] unto you: as the Father
hath sent me, even so send I you.
22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them,
Receive ye the Holy Spirit:
23 whose soever sins ye forgive, they are forgiven unto them; whose soever
[sins] ye retain, they are retained.

Mark 1:8 I baptized you in water; But he shall baptize you in the Holy
Spirit.

Acts 1:5 For John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized in
the Holy Spirit not many days hence.

Romans 8:12-18
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after
the flesh.
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the
Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye
have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the
children {teknon} of God:
17 And if children {teknon}, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs
with Christ; if so be that we suffer with [him], that we may be also
glorified together.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time [are] not worthy
[to be compared] with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Giving up Heaven for Earth
Mon Nov 5, 2018 7:20 pm (PST) . Posted by: "SavedByFaith Info" savedbyfaithinfo
Giving up Heaven for Earth

Hebrew 12:16 Lest there [be] any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau,
who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.

Today’s message refers to the incident mentioned in Genesis 25:29-35 where
Esau who worked hard in the field comes home and requests Jacob for a bowl
of pottage. Jacob been shrewd knew that Esau was very tired and desperate
to eat so asks suggests Esau to give up his inheritance for a bowl of
pottage and Esau needing that bowl desperately does promise to give up his
inheritance.

What the Bible does not clearly mention is that the inheritance of Esau did
not refer to any earthly land, it was only latter when walled cities were
built that property within its folds were sellable or owned by a person. In
those days people travelled from place to place and if they found a place
where they could settle down they did, it was only kings who had right to
property. We also need to remember Abraham and his people were Hebrew which
means ‘nomad’ that means they were people who never settled in a place for
long. The land promised by the Lord to Abraham (and there on to Israel-Sons
of God) was not earthly land but Heaven. So when Esau gave up his
inheritance he thought of earthly possessions and did not realize the
actual inheritance of Abraham was Heavenly and not earthly.

Many of us Christians behave like Esau who for temporary desires or needs
give up our eternal inheritance. Riches of this world, beauty of this
world, desires of the flesh, position and recognition in this world and of
the people of this world are some of the few reasons which causes people to
give up on their Heavenly inheritance.

Just day before yesterday I saw a video of ‘Christians’ in Nigeria, at a
‘church’ service where some of the people continually throwing money over
the preacher / worship leader while he was signing praises to the Lord. We
see such scenes at private cabaret where a women dances to the fleshy
desires of the audience and in turn the audience throws money at her.

Sad to say many of our preachers twist and bury the Truth when they preach
so that the congregation does not get hurt and in turn the congregation
pleases the preacher in all his or her worldly needs and pleasures.

Word of God is truly a double edge sword that pierces and works between the
spirit [bone marrow] and soul [bone joints] of a person. If the Word of God
was truly preached in Churches Christianity would not have been what it is
today. Even in mega Churches with over 200 plus congregation we see only 5
or max 10 people active Christians, which is proof it is not the Pastor who
is doing the work amongst the sheep, if it was the Pastor truly leading the
sheep then it should be 90-95 percent active persons. Have we ever
witnessed any such a congregation?

Pastors and Ministry leaders should stop worrying of offending people and
worry more of offending God.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. Although You Lord can do all things yet You
entrusted us with leading others to You. This You did so that we would
prove we are your sons. Lord we pray even after You have received your
Spirit we do not seek the desires of the flesh and that of this world. We
pray we be not like Esau to sell our Heavenly inheritance for the desires
of the body...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Genesis 25:29-34
29 And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he [was] faint:
30 And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red
[pottage]; for I [am] faint: therefore was his name called Edom.
31 And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.
32 And Esau said, Behold, I [am] at the point to die: and what profit
shall this birthright do to me?
33 And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he
sold his birthright unto Jacob.
34 Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and
drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised [his] birthright.

Hebrew 12:12-17
12 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;
13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be
turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
14 Follow peace with all [men], and holiness, without which no man shall
see the Lord:
15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root
of bitterness springing up trouble [you], and thereby many be defiled;
16 Lest there [be] any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one
morsel of meat sold his birthright.
17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the
blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he
sought it carefully with tears.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than
any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit,
of both joints and marrow, and quick to discern the thoughts and intents of
the heart.

Following the spoken word!

Hebrews 2:1,2,3 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the
things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let [them] slip. For
if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and
disobedience received a just recompence of reward; How shall we escape, if
we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the
Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard [him];

As children we played ‘Chinese whispers’ where a spoken sentence is
whispered in the ear of the person sitting next, who in turn does the same
in a relay to all sitting in a circle; and then everyone laughs at the end
at the result. This happens since people misunderstand words and assume
things in-between.

Muslims have a problem with their Quran mainly because during the time of
their prophet they were not allowed to write down his sayings since he
insisted on them memorizing the verses (ayahs). It was only later that
people started writing them down and amongst them were his own wife Aisha
(the existing Quran is assume be mainly her collection - ironically a large
section believe she was behind his death). But since they wrote on paper
they faced problems like there is a record of a goat eating some of them
and those verses are not found in their book.

Today’s message tells us about following the spoken word yet we do not face
the problem faced by Muslims mainly because the Lord Himself told those
whom He spoke to directly or indirectly to write it down.

In case of the Bible the text was not written on paper since paper did not
exist then. They were written on stone tablets, leather and papyrus (sheets
made of smashed and dried sea weeds/plant). These media had great shelf
life compared to paper thus even today we find them.

The Catholics believe some of the instructions given by the Apostles are
missing thus give importance to traditions thinking in traditions these
instructions are found.

Today the Lord is telling us we do not follow sayings of men not even the
Apostles but follow those given by Angels and the Lord as mentioned todays
message, which was recorded by men. The Apostles followed them and passed
them done through their letters so even if few of their letters are lost,
we have not lost anything since all these sayings were given before Christ
and by Christ (Gospel of John being the last prophetic book). It is for
this reason the Bible’s last book’s last verses says we cannot add or
remove anything to this book(s) meaning the prophetic books which have the
sayings of Angels and the Lord, not historical records like Judges, Kings,
Acts etc. or letters, or testimonies, or books that expound / reveal
scriptures already given like Daniels, Songs of Solomon, Revelations etc...

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty, Omnipresent God. You Lord not only exist everywhere
is space but also in time and realms. David stated inspired by your Spirit
even in Hell a person cannot hide from your presence. Lord we pray we
understand the Bible better and believe it as your Word and not a creation
of man...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Exodus 17:14 And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this [for] a memorial in
a book, and rehearse [it] in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out
the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.

Matthew 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is
written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve..

Genesis 22:11,15
11 And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said,
Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here [am] I.
15 And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second
time,

1 Peter 2:21 For hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for
you, leaving you an example, that ye should follow his steps:

2 Peter 1:16 For we did not follow cunningly devised fables, when we made
known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were
eyewitnesses of his majesty.

1 Corinthians 11:1 Be ye imitators of me, even as I also am of Christ.

Revelation 22:18,19
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of
this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him
the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this
prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of
the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book.
