Pope Francis I
POPE FRANCIS
On Wednesday, Pope Francis, the head of the Catholic Church, addressed crowds gathered for his weekly general audience that convincing someone from another religion to become Christian is a “pagan” practice.

“To evangelize is not to proselytize,” the pope told crowds gathered in the Vatican for his weekly general audience. “To proselytize is something pagan, it is neither religious nor evangelical.”

Quoting the late Pope Benedict XVI, who died Dec. 31, Pope Francis said that “the church does not proselytize, but rather she grows by ‘attraction’” to the beauty of God’s love.

Evangelization “does not begin by seeking to convince others, but by bearing witness each day to the love that has watched over us and lifted us back up,” he said.

“This is not about proselytism, as I said, so that others become ‘one of us’ – no, this is not Christian,” he reiterated. “It is about loving so that they might be happy children of God.”

The pontiff has spoken against proselytizing several times. In the first year of his papacy, in an October 2013 interview with La Repubblica, he said, “Proselytism is solemn nonsense, it makes no sense … I believe in God, not in a Catholic God, there is no Catholic God, there is God and I believe in Jesus Christ, his incarnation.”

In an interview with Spanish language news outlet Mundo Negro back in mid-December, which was published on January 13, Pope Francis acknowledged that he initially became a Jesuit to go as a missionary to Japan.

“I see that the Catholic Mission is not a proselytizer, but announces the Gospel according to the culture of each place,” the Pope said. “Catholicism is that, respecting cultures.”

“A missionary goes, respects what is found in each place and helps to create harmony,” he added. “But it does not engage in ideological or religious proselytism, much less colonialism….the most serious sin that a missionary can have is proselytism. Catholicism is not proselytizing.”

Pope Francis has specifically forbidden attempts to convert Jews. In December 2015, the Vatican’s Commission for Religious Relations with Jews released a document instructing Catholics not to try to convert Jews and should, instead, work with them to fight anti-Semitism. The document emphasized that the two religions were intertwined and that God had never annulled his covenant with the Jewish people.

“The Church is therefore obliged to view evangelization (spreading Christianity) to Jews, who believe in the one God, in a different manner from that to people of other religions and world views,” it said.

“A Christian can never be an anti-Semite, especially because of the Jewish roots of Christianity,” it said.

The document coincided with the 50th anniversary of a Vatican repudiation of the concept of collective Jewish guilt for Jesus’ death and the launch of a theological dialogue that traditionalists have rejected.

The Jesuit Pope Empty Re: The Jesuit Pope

Post  Admin Sun 02 Oct 2022, 5:56 pm

The Society of Jesus, or the Jesuits, with their Sun Worship logo, operate in the highest echelons of the Jesuit Illuminati, or rather their leaders do. It is the Jesuit leadership that controls the Knights of Malta, Knights Templar, Knights of Columbus in the USA, and works closely with another secret
order of the Roman Church, Opus Dei, which was created by the Jesuits. The alleged rivalry between the two is a diversion.(created so they could control two sides of an issue) The Society of Jesus was the creation of Ignatius (ig-ˈnā-sh(ē-)əs) Loyola, who was born at the Castle of Loyola in the Basque province of Guipuzcoa (gē-ˈpüs-kō-ə) in Spain on Christmas Eve 1491. He and a group of associates founded the Jesuit Order in 1537 and it was given papal approval in 1540. From there it expanded its influence until it reached its present status as one of the most powerful secret societies on earth. Loyola became the first Jesuit Superior General, also known as the ‘Father General’, and he sent his agents far and wide to set up schools, colleges, and seminaries. (All Protestant seminaries have been infiltrated by the Jesuits.) It’s interesting that theological colleges are called ‘seminaries’ and their students ‘seminarians’. The term comes from the Latin ‘seminarium’, or ‘seed-bed’. Semiramis was known in similar terms as the mother, or ‘seed-bed’, of the gods. The word ‘seminary’ is also used in reference to Jewish and Muslim religious centers of higher ‘education’, and by the Mormons, too. The Jesuits now have some 25,000 members in 112 countries and the worldwide structure consists of region known as assistance’s, which are themselves made up of provinces. It is the usual top-down, Russian-doll system that allows the leaders to keep the big agenda from the lower roads. The Superior General has absolute authority and is again chosen for life, or until he decides to resign. The Jesuit Constitutions were written by Loyola and created a dictatorship that demanded absolute obedience to the Pope and ‘superiors’ with the Order. He said that Jesuits should be ‘well-disciplined like a corpse’. Loyola produced a book call Spiritual Exercises(modern-day psychology) in 1548 and it is still at the heart of Jesuit ‘education’. It tells Jesuits to suspend their own judgement and the thirteenth rule says it is virtue to believe only what the Catholic Church tells them even if it’s not true. The example is given of seeing something that is obviously white, but believing it is really black if the Catholic hierarchy says it is. Quote by St. Ignatius of Loyola: That which appears white is really black. We should always be disposed to believe that which appears white is really black if the hierarchy of the Church so decides. This is what the Illuminati and Jesuits always demand-absolute obedience, (the Illuminati, Jesuit, are one and the same.)

Mike Gendron on Pope Francis: Testimony
Dr. David R. ReaganWatch MP3 PDFBy Dr. David R. Reagan
What caused Mike Gendron to leave Catholicism?

Pope Francis has quickly established himself among the masses as a very popular religious leader, but at the same time, he has generated strong resistance from key Catholic leaders. Much of the controversy he has caused is due to his tendency to make off-the-wall comments that produce widespread confusion.

Who is this Pope? Where did he come from? And what is he up to? We've asked these questions of Mike Gendron, the founder and director of a ministry in the Dallas, Texas area called Proclaiming the Gospel. Driven by a deep compassion for Roman Catholics, Mike brings the Gospel of grace to those who are victimized by the deception of Roman Catholicism.

Mike Gendron's Testimony

Dr. Reagan: Mike tell us about your background, and why are you considered to be an expert on Catholicism?

Mike Gendron: I always love to share my testimony of God's amazing grace because I grew up a very devout Catholic. I was a Catholic for 37 years and taught High School Catholic Christian doctrine. I was an altar boy for seven years. Later on I was responsible for bringing the very first Little Rock Scripture Study to a Catholic Church in the Dallas area.

During this time, the Lord was revealing Himself to me. There was a conference I went to in 1981 that convinced me that the Bible was the supreme authority in all matters of faith. So, at the age of 34, I began reading the Bible for the first time.

Dr. Reagan: Was that a Catholic conference that you went to?

Mike Gendron: No, it was an Evangelical conference. I didn't even know who was giving the conference. I had never heard of the main speaker. It was advertised in the Dallas Morning News and the title of the conference was "Evidence for the Christian Faith." As a Catholic I had no evidence. I was just told to believe whatever the priest told me. And so, here was a conference that was going to give evidence for the Christian faith. After attended this three day conference, I finally went home and opened the Bible for the first time at age 34.

As I read the Bible, I recognized very quickly that what I'd been taught as a Catholic was diametrically opposed to what the Bible was teaching me in regards to salvation. I read in the Bible that we were saved by grace apart from merit, by faith apart from works. I read that Jesus was my all-sufficient Savior. I needed to repent of all the works that I was doing I thought would help God save me. Just through this process of reading the Bible, the Spirit of God illuminated the Scriptures to me, and so I came to saving faith in the Lord Jesus.

Dr. Reagan: Over the years as I have encountered Catholics, my approach to them has always been, "Start reading your Bible!" I often find that they haven't done that. When they start reading the Bible, they start saying, "The Bible says that, but the Church says this. The Bible says that, but the Church says this." They begin to have their eyes opened to the fact that the Catholic Church isn't in sync with the Bible.

Mike Gendron: It's really is an eye-opener, because ultimately there is nothing more important in this life than figuring out whom should I trust for my eternal destiny. The Bible told me it was Christ alone, and that He is able to save me completely and forever.
Dr. Reagan: So when you say you were a devout Catholic, you really were?
Mike Gendron: I really was.
Dr. Reagan: You even went to Italy, didn't you?

Mike Gendron: I did. I actually celebrated with Padre Pio who has the wounds of Christ. He is of course dead now. During the time I was a young altar boy and saw he had the wounds of Christ in his hands. I thought, "Wow! This is a validation that the Catholic Church is the one true Church." But, then later on, after the Lord saved me, I began reading his autobiography and found out that Padre Pio claimed he was sitting at his window as souls from Purgatory were on their way to Heaven thanking him for suffering on their behalf. I thought, "This is not the Gospel!"

Dr. Reagan: Tell us a little bit about your secular background. While you are going to Mass everyday and doing all these works, what were you doing in the secular world?

Mike Gendron: I was very successful in the corporate world. In fact, by the age of 31, I really accomplished everything anyone could ever achieve as far as the world's riches. I had earned a mansion in a prestigious neighborhood, the 380 SL sports car convertible, the gold Rolex, and so forth. I'd achieved everything from a worldly perspective.

And yet, there was something missing. I didn't know at the time that it had anything to do with my spirituality, because I was a devout Catholic. I was a business executive in a Fortune 500 Company, but something was still missing in my life.

Dr. Reagan: That must have been quite a decision to leave that world and commit your life to Christ in ministry! Did that move shake up your wife? What happened?

Mike Gendron: Yes, it really did. My wife did not marry a seminary student or a missionary. The transition from business to ministry was definitely something that we both had to deal with. But, she has just become the greatest helpmate now in my ministry. She is also a former Catholic.

Life changed when I sat down and realized that there are only two things in this life that are eternal. They are the Word of God and the souls of men. And so, I wanted to start investing the rest of my life in the things that mattered; the things that would last for all of eternity. In my case, it was a very easy decision. I wanted to go to seminary and de-indoctrinalize myself from all the error that I had been taught as a Catholic and then fill my mind with the truth.

Dr. Reagan: Where did you go to Seminary?

Mike Gendron: I went to Dallas Theological Seminary. During my last semester I was introduced to a video of former priests and nuns who were sharing how to be saved. As I watched that video, I felt compelled to share it with every Roman Catholic I knew. My wife and I invited Roman Catholics over to our home. Within three months we saw 17 Roman Catholics exchange their religion for a relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ!

Dr. Reagan: In what year did you decide to form the ministry, Proclaiming the Gospel, that you have now?

Mike Gendron: I never did set out to form a ministry. In 1991 is when we began inviting Catholics over. What do you do with 17 new babes in Christ? Well, you invite them back over on Wednesday night to help them grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord. That was the genesis of the ministry the Lord began. My wife and I just stand in awe because God has taken us literally throughout the world, primarily in countries that are dominated by Roman Catholicism, and it is our joy to equip and encourage the Saints to reach out to this huge mission field.

Dr. Reagan: How many years have you been at this now?

Mike Gendron: Twenty-four years now. It is all the grace of God. We just stand in awe of Him.

In the second segment of my interview of Mike Gendron on Pope Francis, we'll look at the historical background of the Jesuits and how their philosophy drives the Pope's theology.

How does Jesuit philosophy drive Pope Francis' theology?

Profile on Pope Francis

Dr. Reagan: Pope Francis has quickly established himself as a very popular figure among the Catholic masses. There are several reasons for that. One reason is his dismissal of the majestic trappings of the papacy, at least some of them. Another reason was his condemnation of corruption in the Catholic Curia. Another reason would be his promotion of Socialism. Another reason would be his questioning of some of the Church's most questionable or at least most unpopular doctrines.

On the negative side, he appears to be a loose cannon. And thus, every time he speaks out on an issue, the Vatican calls a press conference very quickly and says, "He didn't mean what he said!" They begin to explain away what he said.

What in the world is Pope Francis up to? Where did he come from? What is his background? Can you give us any kind of insights about him?

Mike Gendron: Yes, Pope Francis is a very fascinating man. He came out of Argentina. He is a Jesuit, and many people have studied under the Jesuits. Francis is the first ever Jesuit Pope.

A lot of people don't know the background of the Jesuits. At the Reformation in the 16th Century, the Council of Trent was the beginning of the Counter Reformation. There they recognized that a lot of Catholics were leaving after studying the Bible. The truth was setting them free. And so, the Catholic Church established a Counter Reformation. Part of its leadership was led by Ignatius Loyola who founded the Jesuits. The purpose of the Jesuits at that time was to do anything to thwart the Protestant Reformation. If you look at Church history, they took some pretty drastic measures, including the Inquisition.

Dr. Reagan: So the Jesuits became the defenders of the Catholic Church?

Mike Gendron: They really did. They tried to thwart the exodus of Roman Catholics that were leaving because they'd found out the truth in the Bible. As a result of that great departure from the Catholic Church, the Jesuit's agenda was to unite the whole world under the power and the influence of the Papacy.

This new Jesuit Pope, Pope Francis, the first one ever, he's accelerating the Ecumenical Movement to bring all Christians under the Catholic banner like never before. Today's movement started in 1965 with Vatican Council II.

Pope Francis made a statement recently that I want to read to you:

"There are many people who share our faith in Christ but belong to other faith confessions or traditions. Throughout history this has been a cause of conflict and suffering. But now it is possible to work toward reconciliation and full communion. We ought to accentuate that which unites us, Jesus, and the richness of His love."
Ecumenism is the major thrust of his agenda. Francis' goal is to unite not only all separated brethren, which would be you and me, but also all the religions of the world. He is actively building bridges with non-Christian religions.

As followers of Christ, we need to make sure that people understand that we are not united in the love of Christ, but we are united by faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. There can be no unity outside of the Gospel.

Dr. Reagan: And yet, there seems to be many Evangelicals even who think that there can be a united Church.

Mike Gendron: There are. In fact, if you look at the recent months, the Pope is looking for soft spots in the Evangelical world in order to build bridges to the Evangelical Church. This pope has accelerated the Ecumenical Movement.

We need to recognize that he is teaching a false and fatal Gospel. He is not interested in doctrine, he is interested in people who love Jesus. But, and here's the problem, a lot of Evangelicals don't know that Catholics worship and trust a different Jesus! The Catholic Jesus is different from the one that is revealed in the Bible.

Dr. Reagan: What do you mean by that when you say a "different Jesus"?

Mike Gendron: The Roman Catholic Jesus is called down from Heaven every day to be offered again and again as a sin offering by the priest on an altar. Transubstantiation happens, Catholics say, to appease the wrath of God. Divine justice is served every day on a Catholic altar. This is not the Jesus of Scripture.

The Jesus of Scripture entered Heaven having obtained eternal redemption. He died once for all for all time. There are no more offerings for sin. We need to point this out to Roman Catholics, and point them to the Christ of the Bible. He is sufficient to save them completely and forever.

Dr. Reagan: It seems that many in the Evangelical world have actually overlooked the differences that brought about the split in the first place, as if the Reformation was of no consequence. All these Protestants who died being burned at the stake or whatever ridiculous loss of life at the hands of the Catholic Church, they're saying there wasn't that much difference in beliefs the first place. But, that's not true at all, is it?

Mike Gendron: It's really heart-breaking to see Evangelicals forget what the Reformers died for. They were brutally tortured and burned at the stake because they stood on the sound rock of the Bible. The Bible was their authority for faith. They would not bow their knee to the Pope.

But now we see Evangelicals going to Pope Francis, and they are forgetting what the Reformation was all about. The Reformation was about how people are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, according to Scripture alone, all for the glory of God alone. But, this Pope is teaching a gospel of works, a gospel that encourages people to receive sacraments in order to obtain eternal life. Catholics do not have the assurance of eternal life because their work of redemption is carried out every day on a Catholic altar.

In the third segment of my interview of Mike Gendron on Pope Francis, we'll look at the many off-the-wall quotes the Pope has made.
