At least five said killed as large explosion rocks central Gaza
Palestinian media reports call the blast a 'work accident,' apparently referring to an accidental detonation of explosives being prepared by a terror group

A large blast rocked the central Gaza Strip on Saturday, killing at least five people, witnesses and the Hamas-run health ministry said.

The cause of the blast was not immediately clear, but Palestinian media reports said it was an “work accident,” a term usually used to describe the accidental detonation of explosives being prepared by one of the terror groups in the Strip.

The health ministry said several bodies had been brought to a local hospital, but did not identify them.

The group said in a statement that the four died during “preparations,” without giving further details. Army Radio reported that the terrorists were killed while carrying explosives in an all-terrain vehicle, suggesting the blast may have been a “work accident.” AFP said they were riding a tuk tuk vehicle which exploded a few hundred meters from the border with Israel.
The incident comes amid tensions along the security fence in recent weeks, with the Palestinians holding mass marches near the border, and in some cases rioting, for the last six consecutive weekends. Israel says the violence is being orchestrated by Hamas, which it accuses of trying to carry out border attacks under the cover of large protests.

Here is the answer to why Israel is so inspiring
By Avi Abelow -  May 2, 2018 1297 0
Rabbi Jonathan Sacks marvelously succeeds in explaining why Israel is the most inspiring story of our generation, for all mankind. In this short video he says it all.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=13&v=NgXurQd8e6s&ab_channel=RabbiSacks
After 2,000+ years of exile and persecution, the Jewish people returned to their homeland. We should be an inspiration for all people of the world.  This symbolizes the ability to overcome all obstacles.  That would have been enough. Yet, in just 70 short years, the Jewish people developed Israel to be one of the most developed countries in the world, in so many ways.  Can you imagine? Not only did we overcome thousands of years of exile and persecution, but we are excelling in developing a world leading country.

This is a monumental feat.  The Jewish people are a living miracle. A testament to the existence of a higher power in the world.  We are the story of inspiration for all of mankind.

Text of Rabbi Jonathan Sacks
If people would only take a moment to think about the miraculous return of the Jewish people to the State of Israel. The story of Israel is one without parallel in history. The story of the love of a people for a land, the love of Jews for Israel.

There in ancient times our people was born, and there in modern times our people was reborn. The day will come when the story of Israel in modern times will speak not just to Jews, but to all who believe in the power of the human spirit as it reaches out to G-d as an everlasting symbol of the victory of life over death, hope over despair.

Because Israel has achieved great things.  It’s taken a barren land and made it bloom.  It’s taken an ancient language, the Hebrew of the Bible, and made it speak.  Israel has taken the West’s oldest faith and made it young.

It’s taken a tattered, shattered nation and made it live.  Israel is the country whose national anthem, Hatikvah, means hope.  ISRAEL IS THE HOME OF HOPE!

AIRSTRIKES CONFIRMED
Three US officials have confirmed that the airstrikes against Iranian bases Syria on Sunday were launched by Israel. The officials said that Israeli F-15s hit Hama after Iran delivered weapons to a base that houses Iran's 47th Brigade, including surface-to-air missiles. In addition to killing two dozen troops, including officers, the strike wounded three dozen others and destroyed 200 missiles. They said that while Israel did not ask the US for permission to attack, it did send cautionary notes.

During the past week, senior Israeli military leaders have been meeting with senior U.S. counterparts, both in the region and in the U.S., looking for U.S. support for stronger action against Iran in Syria. U.S. officials say the Israeli requests include intelligence support.

One senior US official said, "On the list of the potentials for most likely live hostility around the world, the battle between Israel and Iran in Syria is at the top of the list right now.”

The Iranians have said that they will retaliate “at the right time”.

REVELATION AFTERMATH
On Monday night PM Netanyahu went on live TV and revealed, in English, that the Mossad had stolen thousands of secret Iranian documents that indicate that Iran has no intention of ceasing its nuclear program. The documents did not, however, reveal any Iranian violations of the current nuclear agreement.

The purpose of the PM’s multimedia presentation was to convince US and European leaders to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal. The US seems to have enthusiastically embraced the information. Whether Trump will decide to withdraw for the agreement will most likely remains a question until the May 12th deadline. The Europeans are by all indications committed to sticking with the agreement.

Former Deputy Mossad Director Ram Ben-Barak questioned Netanyahu's decision to expose the sensitive information on the Mossad's complicated operation. He said, "I see no good reason for it. It's very likely that many people objected to the publication of this information, because it's harmful. The Iranians are probably racking their brains now, trying to figure out how it happened. They will investigate and eventually find out all kinds of things. I think it was unnecessary. We could have reached the same result without that press conference.”

Regarding the actual agreement Ben-Barak said, "The Iranians don’t want to violate the agreement because they want it to expire in eight years, and then they'll develop the nuclear program. In the meantime, they are building military activities to threaten the State of Israel which has to deal with them. The right thing to do, therefore, is to say to the world powers, including Russia: Either supervise Iran to make sure that it's upholding the agreement, or impose sanctions. Unfortunately, we are choosing a policy of bombastic statements that are heating up the entire region, and that's a shame."

Intelligence Minister Katz defended the PM saying, "By releasing the documents we are pushing Iran into a corner, and that benefits us, especially in light of the conflict in the north. He [Netanyahu] decided to expose the material and he did it in a good way."

ABBAS SLAMMED
PM Netanyahu slammed PA President Abbas for claiming that Jews were murdered in the Holocaust because they engaged in usury. Netanyahu said, Abbas “was a Holocaust denier and has remained a Holocaust denier. I call on the international community to condemn Abu Mazen's grave antisemitism.” US officials including Jason Greenblatt and Ambassador to Israel David Friedman also strongly condemned Abbas.

The Palestinian leader accused the Jews of causing the Holocaust in addition to promoting other overtly anti-Semitic conspiracy theories during an address to Palestinian officials.

By: Daniel Krygier
Imagine the reactions if a Western leader blamed the Jews for the Holocaust. Even Western self-appointed liberals would find this blatant anti-Jewish bigotry offensive.

However, when the despotic PLO leader Mahmoud Abbas does just that, the world remains as usual silent. Addressing the ”Palestinian National Council” in Ramallah, Abbas outrageously claimed that the Holocaust was not caused by anti-Semitism but by Jewish “social behavior” including money lending.

By blaming Jews for Jew-hatred, Abbas took a leaf out of the anti-Semitic conspiracy book that automatically blames the Jewish people for all the ills in the world. In fact, the Abbas regime has for years seamlessly blended traditional Islamist Jew-hatred with imported anti-Semitic conspiracy theories from Europe including Hitler’s infamous Mein Kampf and the Tsarist-Russian forgery Protocols of the Elders of Zion. The European Union has funded much of this anti-Jewish racist propaganda in the name of “peace.”

The Zionist-Nazi Lie
Abbas did not stop there. Like London’s former radical leftist mayor Ken Livingstone, the PLO leader repeated the lie of Zionist cooperation with Hitler during the Second World War.

In reality, the Yishuv, the Jewish community in pre-state Israel, tried with its limited capabilities to rescue Jewish brothers and sisters escaping the Holocaust. One example is the courageous Zionist woman Hannah Szenes who is today a national hero in Israel.

She was one of 37 Jewish parachutists from the British Palestine mandate who parachuted over Europe trying to rescue Hungarian Jews from deportation to Nazi extermination camps. Szenes was arrested at the Hungarian border, tortured and eventually executed by a Nazi German firing squad in 1944.

Abbas: Holocaust Denier
Abbas Second World War fantasies make sense for a person who wrote his doctoral thesis in Holocaust denial.

As the unelected leader of an artificial people, PLO leader Abbas repeated the long discredited anti-Semitic conspiracy that Ashkenazi Jews are “not real Jews” but descendants of the Khazars, a former semi-nomadic Turkic tribe.

The Ramallah speech also conveniently ignored the fact that at least 50% of Israeli Jews, are descendants of Sephardi and Mizrahi Jews who fled the Muslim world in North Africa and the Middle East.

Partner for Peace?
“Moderate” Abbas who is supposed to be Israel’s “partner for peace”, also remained faithful to the anti-Semitic tradition of erasing 3,000 years of Jewish history and connection to the land of Israel. According to the Ramallah “historian” Abbas, modern Israel was essentially a “European project.”

While some European leaders like Arthur Balfour supported the Zionist movement, most British and European leaders were hostile or indifferent towards the Jews. Post-Balfour Britain did everything in its power to prevent Israel’s rebirth and cooperated with the Arabs against the Jews. Modern Israel is the ultimate anti-imperialist state that was reborn not because of the Holocaust, but despite of it.

Instead of accepting their exemption from the Israeli army because of their disabilities, some young men and women insist on serving their country, just like their peers.

The army draft in Israel applies to all young men and women with a few exceptions, including the exemption for Israelis with disabilities.

There are a some, however who refuse to accept this exemption and contribute their own unique skills and talents to serve and defend their country.

Meet three such soldiers who, despite their “special needs,” are giving an “extra special’ contribution to the defense and protection of the State of Israel.

Palestinians Should ‘Come to the Negotiations Table or Shut Up,’ Saudi Crown Prince States
https://unitedwithisrael.org/palestinians-should-come-to-the-negotiations-table-or-shut-up-saudi-crown-prince-states/?utm_source=pushengage&utm_medium=push_notification&utm_campaign=pushengage
“It is about time the Palestinians take the proposals and agree to come to the negotiations table or shut up and stop complaining,” Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman stated.

By: World Israel News

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman said the Palestinian leadership needs to accept the peace plans proposed by the US or stop complaining and that the Arab world has lost interest in the so-called Palestinian issue.

In a closed-door meeting with heads of Jewish organizations in New York in March, Bin Salman harshly criticized Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinians’ diplomatic conduct over the past 40 years, according to a report by American news site Axious. The report cited an Israeli foreign ministry cable sent by a diplomat from the Israeli consulate in New York as well three other sources – Israeli and American – who were briefed about the meeting.

According to the report, the Saudi Crown Prince told the Jewish leaders that “in the last several decades, the Palestinian leadership has missed one opportunity after the other and rejected all peace proposals. It is about time the Palestinians take the proposals and agree to come to the negotiations table or shut up and stop complaining.”

He also noted that the Palestinian issue was not a top priority for the Saudi government or Saudi public opinion, saying that Saudi Arabia “has much more urgent and important issues to deal with,” such as confronting Iran’s belligerent expansion in the Middle East.

While leveling harsh criticism against the Palestinians, Ben Salman conceded that in order for Saudi Arabia and other Arab states to normalize relations with Israel, at least some progress on the Israeli-Palestinian diplomatic process would have to be made. He did not demand a final status agreement.

High-ranking Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, have often spoken in general terms regarding the budding backdoor diplomatic relations between Israel and Sunni Arab states, mainly Saudi Arabia.

Axious quoted a source who, briefed on the meeting, said the attendees were stunned when they heard the Saudi prince’s comments on the Palestinian issue. “People literally fell off their chairs,” the source said.

This news comes amid reports that the Trump administration has finished drafting a peace plan and is discussing how and when to launch it.

The Palestinians have been boycotting Washington since Trump’s recognitions of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital in December.

“We remain deeply concerned about Iran’s dangerous escalation of threats to Israel and the region and Iran’s ambition to dominate the Middle East remains. The US is with Israel in this fight,” Pompeo said.
By Batya Jerenberg, World Israel News
Mike Pompeo voiced a strongly worded message of support for Israel as he came to meet Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Sunday on first trip to the Middle East as secretary of state.
The discussions, unsurprisingly, focused on Iran, its actions in the region, as well as the nuclear accord that President Donald Trump has threatened to walk away from by May 12th if serious changes are not made. Pompeo and Netanyahu apparently see eye to eye on these issues.
In a joint news conference, Pompeo called Israel “an incredibly important partner.” He also stated, “We remain deeply concerned about Iran’s dangerous escalation of threats to Israel and the region and Iran’s ambition to dominate the Middle East remains.”
“The United States is with Israel in this fight,” he declared.
His support was warmly reciprocated by Netanyahu, who called Pompeo a “true friend of Israel, a true friend of the Jewish people,” adding, “I can say that today America and Israel are closer than ever before.”

Pompeo stayed away from the Palestinian Authority (PA) on this visit. According to Ha’aretz, PA President Mahmoud Abbas’ aide, Nabil Shaath, said that no one in Pompeo’s office requested a meeting. “Even if there was such a petition, the official Palestinian stance remains unchanged, and it is not to meet with the American administration representatives,” Shaath said.

Protesters have gathered along the Gaza border as the ‘Great March of Return’ demonstrations enter a fifth week. Some 35 Palestinians, including two journalists, have been killed and thousands injured since the protests began.

One protester was killed by an Israeli sniper near the Gaza fence, in Friday’s protest, the Palestinian Ministry of Health told local media. The Palestinian Health Ministry told reporters on the ground that the number of casualties could be as high as 170.

Fifty-four people have been wounded, three by IDF fire, according to local reports cited by Haaretz. Three journalists are among the injured, according to Hindi Khoudary, an RT contributor based in Gaza.
Four paramedics were injured at a camp in Al-Burayj in the Gaza Strip when Israeli soldiers fired tear gas, targeting a medical point there, Khoudary said.

The rallies, which kicked off on March 30, are expected to continue until the anniversary of the creation of the State of Israel on May 15. The day, known as Nakba, which literally means “catastrophe,” marks the 1948 exodus of around 700,000 Palestinians, who fled or were expelled from their homes during the Arab-Israeli War.

Last week, some 3,000 protesters took part in demonstrations in which four Palestinians were killed. Of the 150 people who reported injuries, 63 were hit by live ammunition, according to the Palestine Red Crescent Society.

International medical group Doctors Without Borders (MSF) said the injuries sustained by those hit by live ammunition have been unusually severe. “Half of the more than 500 patients we have admitted in our clinics have injuries where the bullet has literally destroyed tissue after having pulverized the bone,” said Marie-Elisabeth Ingres, the organization’s head of mission in the Palestinian territories.

Urge Natalie Portman to Apologize to Israel
Award-winning actress Natalie Portman has deeply wronged the Jewish state and offended many Israelis. Urge her to issue a public apology.
Hollywood celebrity Natalie Portman has announced that she did not “feel comfortable” accepting The Genesis Prize, akin to a “Jewish Nobel,” due to “recent events in Israel,” and by doing so she has deeply wronged the Jewish state and offended many Israelis.

Portman’s representatives stated that “recent events in Israel have been extremely distressing to her, and she does not feel comfortable participating in any public events in Israel.” Furthermore, “she cannot in good conscience move forward with the ceremony.”

“The mistreatment of those suffering from today’s atrocities is simply not in line with my Jewish values. Because I care about Israel, I must stand up against violence, corruption, inequality, and abuse of power,” she stated, without explaining which “atrocities” she had in mind.

Portman’s decision reeks of hypocrisy. She participates in festivals in countries that censor videos and whose human rights records are abysmal, thus holding Israel to a double standard, as Israel-haters often do.

Portman, through a representative, later issued a statement saying she “chose not to attend because I did not want to appear as endorsing Benjamin Netanyahu, who was to be giving a speech at the ceremony.” The democratically elected Israeli prime minister was not mentioned in her original statement.

While she added that she is not part of the anti-Israel BDS (Boycott, Divest and Sanctions) movement, BDS activists are celebrating her decision as a victory.

Israel welcomes diverse and opposing opinions and supports free discourse. However, boycotts, a form of violence, and singling out the Jewish state for criticism are not acceptable.

Portman’s stand was indeed shocking, considering the fact that she has previously stood up for Israel against the BDS movement, such as when she protested efforts to boycott the Toronto International Film Festival’s Tel Aviv-themed event in 2009.

Portman said in her statement that the backlash has inspired her to make numerous contributions to charities in Israel, although she did not specify her choices.

We believe this is not enough. While it may not have been her intention, she has caused grave damage to Israel’s public image and offended many Israelis. We believe she owes Israel an apology.
Urge Portman to publicly apologize to the State of Israel and its citizens.

One of the nine high school students killed Thursday when a group of hikers was swept away in torrential floods had warned friends a day earlier that she would die if the trip went ahead despite the severe weather warnings.

“I cannot believe I’m going on a trip in such weather,” she told a group of friends in a WhatsApp group chat aired by Hadashot TV news. “It doesn’t make sense for us to go to a place where everything is flooding, it’s tempting fate — we’re going to die, I’m serious.”

The girl and the rest of her group were on a bonding hike for students who had been accepted to the Bnei Tzion pre-military academy in Tel Aviv for the coming year.

Another friend who was not on the trip wrote, “It’s really strange that they are taking you out like this, sorry.”

“Don’t exaggerate,” a third friend said. “I’m sure they are sensible and will take you to other places.”

The group of 25 was hiking in Nahal Tzafit, a riverbed in the southern Dead Sea area. In all, eight girls and one boy were killed and a tenth girl was still missing as of Thursday night. The remaining 15 members of the group were found and retrieved by rescuers, with two listed as lightly injured.

The pre-military academy had sent a reassuring message to students ahead of the trip, telling them not to worry about the storm forecasts, the Kan public broadcaster reported.

In a WhatsApp message, they insisted to participants that the hike would be “fun and wet and an experience.” The students were urged to bring “a rain coat,” “a rain cover for your bags,” and “a change of dry clothes in case you need [it].”

“Don’t worry,” the message read. “We are well-prepared for the hike and the academy has checked with the relevant authorities. It will be fun and wet and an experience!”

The father of a current student in Bnei Tzion said that the school had a “history of irresponsibility.”

The parent, who did not wish to be named, told the Walla news site that during a similar trip last year, several students were dehydrated and a rescue team was alerted to rescue them. “It showed a terrible lack of judgment,” he said.

He added that a few years earlier, the school took a trip to Jerusalem during severe storms that had caused power outages in large parts of the city. He said that several students suffered from hypothermia.

“At the time I had a conversation with the training director and was told that they had an ideology of achieving the mission, taking trips in all weather and never cancelling anything,” he said. “The problem with this program is that it allows the students to organize the trips with only very minor supervision from the directors, who rarely intervene.”

On Thursday, police units, the Air Force’s elite 669 rescue team and the local Arava emergency search and rescue unit mounted a massive operation to find the missing student, but they were forced to suspend the search as dark fell due to forecasts of more rain.

The Education Ministry said it was not informed of the students’ trip.

“The trip was not reported to us, our situation room was not told in advance, and we did not give any permission for such a trip,” the ministry said in a statement.

Three youths from a premilitary academy are in critical condition and as many as 10 are still missing after they were swept away in torrential floods Thursday during a hike in Nahal Tzafit, a riverbed in the southern Dead Sea area.

Fifteen children were found and retrieved by rescuers in the 25-strong group. Some had managed to pull themselves out of the rushing waters.

Police units, the Air Force’s elite 669 rescue team and the local Arava emergency search and rescue unit were mounting a massive search and rescue operation to find the missing youths, who all attend a premilitary, post-high school seminary from the country’s north.

The rains causing the flash floods throughout the Negev and West Bank continued to batter parts of the country for a second day Thursday, after tapering off in the morning from Wednesday’s massive storm.

Powerful rains fell in Eilat in the afternoon, causing flooding and shuttering the southernmost city’s airport. Route 90, the main north-south highway through the desert to the Red Sea port, was closed from the city’s entrance to the Arava Junction, close to the site where the class trip was swept away.

An IsraAir flight on its way to Eilat was diverted Thursday afternoon to the Uvda air base, with officials explaining that the runway in Eilat’s airport was too flooded to allow planes to land.

Palestinians Furious US Won’t Call Judea, Samaria ‘Occupied’
https://unitedwithisrael.org/palestinians-irate-us-state-department-stopped-calling-judea-and-samaria-occupied/?The State Department ceased using the term “occupied” in references to Judea and Samaria, sparking Palestinian anger.

By: United with Israel Staff

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday condemned the US State Department for dropping the term “occupied  territories” when referring to the Judea and Samaria region in its annual human rights report.

The ministry said in a statement that “this act is another one in a long list of US actions and policies targeting Palestine and the Palestinian people”.

“The current administration of US President Donald Trump has abandoned its respect for international law and has actually taken steps that violate this law by implementing illegitimate and illegal positions on Palestine and the Palestinian-Israeli conflict,” the Palestinians charged.

“The American administration is not only biased towards Israel, but fully embraces its illegal policies to a point they have become part of US ideology and policies,” said the Foreign Ministry.

The Palestinians stressed, however, that by dropping the term “occupied territories” from the US State Department report, “it does not in any way mean anything and does not eliminate the concept of occupied territory according to international law and international legality, but it reveals to the world once again the reality of the US positions, especially for those who refuse to see them as they are.”

In it latest annual report on human rights,  the State Department did not use the controversial term “occupied” in references to various territories in and adjacent to Israel.

Israel liberated Judea and Samaria and unified Jerusalem in the 1967 Six Day War. Israel has since annexed those liberated parts of Jerusalem.

While the term “occupied” had been used in such reports since the Carter administration, the 2017 version drops this term, which is generally used pejoratively to criticize Israeli policy following military victories through which the Jewish state acquired control of various territories.

The change comes after US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman advised the department in December to stop using the “misleading” term “occupied” in references to Judea and Samaria.

The term “occupied” is considered by many to be a loaded phrase intended to demonize Israel with regard to its activities in disputed areas.

In response to the State Department’s change in terminology, Israel’s Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman tweeted over the weekend, “the lie of the occupied Palestinian territories begins to be revealed. They say that a lie repeated often enough becomes true, but the truth is forever stronger. The State Department report is proof of that.”

Russia said to warn of ‘catastrophic’ result if Israel hits its S-300s in Syria
Moscow military sources quoted saying Putin may soon deploy powerful air defense system; but FM Lavrov insists no decision has yet been made

Russia may hand over its powerful S-300 missile defense system to Syria in the near future, despite opposition from Israel and other Western powers, the Russian daily Kommersant reported Monday, citing anonymous military sources.
The sources told the newspaper that if Israel tried to destroy the anti-aircraft batteries — as analysts have indicated Israel likely would — it would be “catastrophic for all sides.”
But Russian Foreign Minister later said no decision had yet been made on whether to give the S-300s to Syria, and added that it would not keep such a delivery a secret.

“We’ll have to wait to see what specific decisions the Russian leadership and representatives of Syria will take,” he said, according to a TASS report quoted by Reuters.
Moscow announced last week that it was considering reversing its longtime policy against supplying the S-300 system to the regime. The statement came following a series of airstrikes against Syrian targets by the United States, United Kingdom and France earlier this month in response to an alleged chemical weapons attack by Syrian dictator Bashar Assad.
The apparent chemical attack against the then-rebel-held city of Douma in central Syria killed at least 40 people, including children. Western powers blame the attack on Assad’s regime.

TERRORISTS ARRESTED
Israeli security forces arrested 19 wanted Palestinians early Sunday, including 15 Hamas members who were arrested in the Ramallah area. Among them was Khaled al-Din Hamed, a Hamas member from the Gaza Strip, and other senior members who received funding to carry out different assignments in their area of residence.

Meanwhile, Arab media outlets are reporting that a senior Hamas terrorist was killed in an explosion in northern Gaza. Three other terrorists were injured in the blast. It’s unclear whether the explosion was accidental or a result of a drone attack.

TERRORIST ASSASSINATED
A Hamas-affiliated Palestinian engineer from the Gaza Strip was shot dead on Saturday near the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur by two people on a motorcycle. The assassination is being blamed on the Mossad. Israel denies the accusation. The engineer was an expert in rocket building.

EMBASSY PREP
The Foreign Ministry is busy preparing for the opening of the new US embassy in Jerusalem, which is scheduled for May 14. The ministry is planning for an 800 person US delegation led by Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin. Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner are also expected to attend. Of course, all of Israel’s senior officials will be there too. Guatemala is scheduled to open its embassy in Jerusalem 2 days after the American opening.

Massive US Delegation to Attend Jerusalem Embassy Dedication
https://unitedwithisrael.org/massive-us-delegation-to-attend-jerusalem-embassy-dedication/?
Apr 23, 2018

A 250-person American delegation, including 40 leaders and politicians, will arrive in Israel to attend the US’ dedication of its new embassy in Jerusalem.

By: JNS

A sizeable delegation of American dignitaries will arrive in Israel to attend the official dedication ceremony for the US Embassy in Jerusalem, according to a Sunday report on Israel’s Channel 10 news.

US Secretary of Treasury Steven Mnuchin, senior adviser to the president Jared Kushner and his wife Ivanka, Middle East envoy Jason Greenblatt, and US Sens. Ted Cruz and Lindsay Graham are among the estimated 40 politicians who will arrive from the United States as part of a 250-person American delegation.

US President Donald Trump will reportedly not be in attendance.

Images of newly minted road signs directing drivers to the US Embassy have been circulating on social media, confirming that concrete steps were being taken towards implementing Trump’s Dec. 6 announcement that the United States would move its Israel embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

The ceremony will take place in Jerusalem’s Arnona neighborhood on May 14, which will mark the secular 70th anniversary of Israel’s independence. The United States currently operates its Jerusalem consulate in Arnona. The new embassy will operate out of that space temporarily, and is expected to complete construction of additional office space at the compound to meet its needs.

A brand-new embassy complex will be constructed in the coming years.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced last week that Israel’s Foreign Ministry will host a celebratory reception for “guests” coming to Israel on the occasion of the US embassy dedication. He did not elaborate further at the current time.

NY Times: Reports of Palestinian Terror Pay Just a ‘Far-Right Conspiracy’
 https://unitedwithisrael.org/new-york-times-claims-palestinian-payments-to-terrorists-a-far-right-conspiracy/?utm_source=pushengage&utm_medium=push_notification&utm_campaign=pushengage
Isn’t presenting a well-documented fact as “fake news” just more fake news?

By: United with Israel Staff

In a recently published article in the New York Times’ Technology section, journalist Nellie Bowles characterized the well-documented fact that the Palestinian Authority (PA) pays hundreds of millions of dollars to the families of terrorists as a “far-right conspiracy.”

In a piece that ironically includes the phrase “fake news” in its title, Bowles herself presents fact as fake news.

Specifically, she uses as her example of a “far-right conspiracy” the fact that “Palestinians pay $400 million [in] pensions [to] terrorist families.”

Responding to this outrageous lie, the Jerusalem Post‘s Lahav Harkov pointed out in a tweet that Palestinian terror payments are “written in to the Palestinian Authority’s budget, not a ‘far-right conspiracy.'”

The Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America (CAMERA), a media watchdog, noted that it follows that Bowles must consider her own paper part of the vast “far-right conspiracy,” as The Times has repeatedly reported the fact that the PA pays the families of terrorists.

On May 2, 2017, for example, a Times article titled “G.O.P. Pressures Trump to Take Tough Stance With Mahmoud Abbas,” confirms that not even the Palestinian officials try to deny that their government is providing the families of suicide bombers with funding.

“The issue of payments to families of suicide bombers and others who commit violence has become a frequent complaint by Israel and its supporters. The Palestinian Authority spends about $315 million a year to distribute cash and benefits to 36,000 families, according to Sander Gerber, a New York hedge fund executive and fellow at the Jerusalem Center Public Affairs, who has studied the issue and brought his research to American lawmakers,” the article states.

“Palestinian leaders defend the payments, saying they are meant to help widows and orphans of “martyrs,” as they call suicide bombers and others killed in attacks, as well as destitute families of prisoners, not to promote terrorism,” the article adds.

Several NY Times articles, as far back as 2006, also admit that this heinous Palestinian policy is a fact.

While CAMERA contacted Times editors to request a correction, at press time it had yet to receive a response, nor had Bowles responded to any comments on her Twitter feed addressing her error.

Israeli minister to Natalie Portman: You have been fooled by Hamas propaganda
Gilad Erdan appeals to Star Wars actress to come and see the truth after she says she does 'not feel comfortable participating in any public events in Israel'

An  Israeli minister wrote to Natalie Portman on Friday after she decided not to come to Israel to receive the so-called “Jewish Nobel” awarded by the Genesis Prize Foundation, telling her she had been hoodwinked by Hamas propaganda and inviting the Jerusalem-born Hollywood star to come and see the truth.

Portman had initially agreed to accept the $2 million award at a ceremony scheduled for June.

But on Thursday, the foundation said that it had been notified by Portman’s representative that “[r]ecent events in Israel have been extremely distressing to her and she does not feel comfortable participating in any public events in Israel” and that “she cannot in good conscience move forward with the ceremony.”

“It appears that the events to which you are referring are those that took place on our border with Gaza,” Strategic Affairs and Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan wrote to Portman.

“Sadly, it seems that you have been influenced by the campaign of media misinformation and lies regarding Gaza orchestrated by the Hamas terrorist group,” he said inviting her to come and tour the border, its communities and the IDF soldiers guarding it.

His invitation came on a day of further  clashes when some 3,000 Palestinians protested along the Gaza border with Israel, burning tires and flying flaming kites across the frontier to set Israeli fields ablaze, witnesses and the army said. Soldiers responded with tear gas and live fire, killing four Palestinians, including a 15-year-old, according to the Hamas-run health ministry.

“It is not surprising that you have seen the media reports which have distorted the
truth and portrayed the recent riots on the Israel-Gaza border as peaceful
demonstrations, and Israel’s response as disproportionate,” Erdan wrote. “It is in fact precisely this narrative which Hamas hoped to portray when it organized the riots. Unfortunately it appears that this Hamas-designed narrative has impacted your decision.”

Erdan said the truth was that Hamas was using the “riots as a cover to carry out armed terror attacks.”

Erdan urged Portman to come and see the situation for herself, warning that the BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) campaign was “taking advantage” of her stand.

Erdan even referred to Portman’s role in the Star Wars series.

“The goal of Hamas and other murderous terrorist organizations is to convince
the world that they are the real fighters for justice and freedom. Please don’t
make that mistake,” Erdan said.

“Anakin Skywalker, a character you know well from Star Wars, went through a similar process. He began to believe that the Jedi knights were evil, and that the forces of the Dark Side were the defenders of democracy. I call on you not to let the Dark Side win.”

Meanwhile, the Forward reported that US Supreme Court Judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who is receiving a lifetime achievement award, would still be coming to Israel for the award.

Earlier,  Culture Minister Miri Regev lambasted Portman, saying she had “fallen into the hands” of the BDS campaign that aims to isolate the Jewish state.

The Genesis Foundation did not indicate whether Portman would still receive the prize money in light of her announcement.

Regev said she was sorry that Portman had “fallen like ripe fruit into the hands of BDS supporters.”

She added, “Natalie, a Jewish actress who was born in Israel, joins those who relate to the story of the success and the wondrous rebirth of Israel as a story of darkness.”

Calling on Interior Minister Aryeh Deri to cancel Portman’s Israeli citizenship, Likud MK Oren Hazan labeled her “an Israeli Jewess who on the one hand makes cynical use of her origins in order to advance her career and who, on the other hand, prides herself on having avoided being drafted into the IDF.”

Portman left Israel with her parents at the age of 3.

Kulanu party MK Rachel Azaria seen during a Knesset meeting, November 6, 2017. (Miriam Alster/Flash90)
Kulanu lawmaker Rachel Azaria said that Portman’s decision was a reflection of changing attitudes toward Israel among US Jews.

“Natalie Portman’s cancellation should be a warning sign,” she tweeted. “She’s totally one of us, identifies with her Jewishness and Israeliness. She’s expressing the voices of many in US Jewry, and particularly those of the younger generation. This is a community that was always a significant anchor for the State of Israel and the price of losing it is likely to be too high.”

Much of the US Jewish community has been at odds with Israel’s right-wing government in recent years over the latter’s position on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and its support for ultra-Orthodox Jewry on issues of religious identity and practice.

Earlier, in a statement announcing the cancellation of the prize ceremony, the Genesis Prize Foundation said that its organizers “fear that Ms. Portman’s decision will cause our philanthropic initiative to be politicized, something we have worked hard for the past five years to avoid.”

In November, the Genesis Prize announced that Portman would receive its 2018 award, which comes with a cash prize that recipients may direct toward causes of their choice. She joined artist Anish Kapoor, violinist Itzhak Perlman, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and actor-director Michael Douglas as winners of the $1 million prize, which “honors individuals who serve as an inspiration to the next generation of Jews through their outstanding professional achievement along with their commitment to Jewish values and the Jewish people.”

Philanthropist Morris Kahn, left, Genesis Prize Laureate Natalie Portman, center, and Stan Polovets, co-founder and chairman of the Genesis Prize Foundation. (Genesis Foundation)
Genesis said in December that Portman’s prize money had been doubled to $2 million by a donation by Israeli philanthropist Morris Kahn.

The prize was established by Mikhail Fridman and other wealthy Russian-Jewish businessmen and operates in partnership with the Prime Minister’s Office and the Jewish Agency for Israel.

In 2009, Portman joined other Hollywood stars in protesting calls for a boycott against the Toronto International Film Festival for its staging of a Tel Aviv-themed event. She also directed and starred in a Hebrew-language adaptation of Israeli novelist Amos Oz’s memoir, “A Tale of Love and Darkness.” In a statement following the Genesis Prize announcement in November, Portman said she was “proud of my Israeli roots and Jewish heritage.”

In 2015, following the reelection of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, she said she was “very, very upset and disappointed.”

“I find his racist comments horrific,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “However, I don’t — what I want to make sure is, I don’t want to use my platform [the wrong way]. I feel like there are some people who become prominent, and then it’s out in the foreign press. You know, shit on Israel. I do not. I don’t want to do that.”

Honduran Lawmakers Vote to Move Embassy to Jerusalem

“Israel congratulates the National Congress of Honduras for passing with an overwhelming majority a resolution in favor of opening an Embassy in Jerusalem,” an Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman said.

By: JNS and United with Israel Staff

Lawmakers in Honduras voted on Thursday to relocate the country’s embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

“Israel congratulates the National Congress of Honduras for passing with an overwhelming majority a resolution in favor of opening an Embassy in Jerusalem,” Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Emmanuel Nahshon said on Twitter.

Honduran lawmakers approved the measure 59-33, which now must be approved by the executive branch.

“A notice has been sent to the secretary of state in the Foreign Ministry who handles [Honduran] ties to the Israeli people, according to which Honduras should consider moving its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv,” said National Congress First Secretary Jose Tomas Zambrano Molina.

Earlier this week, Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat announced that Guatemala will open its new embassy in Jerusalem just two days after the United States in mid-May.

Like its Central American neighbor, Honduras has been strongly supportive of US President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and to move the American embassy there.

Israel and Honduras also enjoy a strong relationship. In March, Israel announced it would be expanding cooperation with Honduras in areas such as security, economic development, education, health and the environment.

Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández was also scheduled to take part in Israel’s 70th Independence Day celebrations next week, but was forced to withdraw from the event over human rights objections from some in Israel.

More to Come?
A few other countries have shown support for the US’ move.

Romanian Parliament chief Liviu Dragnea stated in December that he thinks his country “should seriously consider moving its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem. We should think about it very seriously.”

“All Israeli central institutions are in Jerusalem, and the ambassadors and embassy’s staff are commuting from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem,” he said, essentially echoing President Donald Trump’s reasoning about recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

Netanyahu earlier expressed confidence that most European countries will follow Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

“I believe that all or most of the European countries will move their embassies to Jerusalem, recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, and engage robustly with us for security, prosperity and peace,” Netanyahu said in Brussels last Monday ahead of a meeting with all 28 foreign ministers of European Union (EU) member states.

The Czech Republic recognized western Jerusalem as the capital of Israel following Trump’s policy changes on the city.

The Czech government’s move on western Jerusalem follows the Czech Parliament’s approval of legislation in May that recognizes Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

In April 2017, the Russian Foreign Ministry made a similar move to recognize “west Jerusalem” as the Israeli capital.

The Israel Defense Forces on Sunday announced it had destroyed a sophisticated Hamas attack tunnel leading from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory over the weekend.

The tunnel was the “longest and deepest” underground passage discovered in Israel thus far, according to Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman.
It passed under the border in an area where Palestinian protesters have recently clashed with security forces, the army said.

A military spokesman said the tunnel was dug by the Hamas terrorist group and was connected to a “kilometers-long” network of other passages under the Gaza Strip.

The tunnel reached “tens of meters” into Israeli territory in the area of the northern Gaza Strip, close to the Israeli community of Nahal Oz, the army said. It was constructed after the 50-day 2014 conflict between Israel and Hamas, according to the IDF.

It was detected using new technologies and methods that the IDF has deployed against the terror tunnel threat and was disarmed over the weekend, Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus said.

“This was clearly a terror tunnel that connected to other tunnels in the Gaza Strip,” he said. “It extended into Israel and violated Israeli sovereignty.”

Security forces had been monitoring the tunnel network, which had been under construction for years. The decision was taken to destroy it once it crossed into Israeli territory, the spokesman said. Palestinian tunnel diggers were working their way up to the surface to construct an exit within Israeli territory when the army decided to act.

Setup Timeout Error:
Setup took longer than 30 seconds to complete.
The tunnel was sealed up rather then being bombed, and the sealing material was estimated to extend deep into the underground network on the Gaza side rendering sections of connecting tunnels useless, the spokesman said.

He did not say if there were any Palestinian injuries during the process to seal the tunnel.

It was the fifth tunnel the IDF has destroyed in recent months, he noted.

“The IDF doesn’t seek an escalation. We are defending our borders,” Conricus said. “We will not tolerate or allow Hamas to turn the border area into an active combat zone.”

In a post to his Twitter feed, Liberman lauded the destruction of the tunnel and warned Palestinians in Gaza that Hamas was wasting their aid money on pointless tunneling operations.

“We open the week with an impressive intelligence and operational achievement, with the destruction of another terror tunnel, the longest and deepest discovered so far,” Liberman said.

“A tunnel in which millions of dollars were invested, money that instead of relieving the strain on residents, was buried in the sand. Residents of Gaza, Hamas is burning your money on tunnels to nowhere. We will get our hands on all of them,” said Liberman.

In July 2014, Israel launched Operation Protective Edge in response to rocket fire from Gaza. During the 50-day campaign, the IDF destroyed some 14 tunnels that entered Israeli territory, along with 18 internal tunnels, and depleted Hamas’s weapons stores.

The IDF spokesman noted that Hamas was using recent border protests by Palestinian as cover for infiltration attempts and that some of the rioting at the border was very close to the area where the tunnel crossed into Israel.

“The violent disturbances are a cover for terror attempts above and below ground,” he said.

The tunnel destruction came amid tensions along the security fence in recent weeks, with the Palestinians holding mass marches near the border, and in some cases rioting, for the last three consecutive weekends. Israel says the violence is being orchestrated by Hamas, which it accuses of trying to carry out border attacks under the cover of large protests.

On Friday, at least 10,000 Gazans took part in large-scale demonstrations, with the Israeli military saying protesters hurled an explosive device and firebombs at Israeli troops deployed at the border, as well as making “several attempts” to damage the fence between Israel and Gaza, and cross over into Israeli territory. A week earlier, about 20,000 Palestinians took part in the demonstrations, with the previous week attracting an estimated 30,000.

More than 30 Palestinians have been killed in the clashes over the part three weeks, according to Hamas-run health authorities. Hamas has acknowledged that several of those killed were its members, and Israel has identified other fatalities as members of terrorist groups.

The protests are part of what Hamas said will be several weeks of “March of Return” demonstrations, which Hamas leaders say ultimately aim to see the removal of the border and the liberation of Palestine.

Palestinian terror organization Islamic Jihad said Saturday that four of its members were killed in an accidental explosion near the Gaza Strip border with Israel.

The four fatalities were named as Hisham Abdel Al, Elias Al Katrous, Ae’d Al Hamaydeh, and Mohammad Al Krinawi, according to Palestinian sources.

Islamic Jihad is an ally of terrorist group Hamas, which rules the Gaza Strip. The group, which is supported by Iran, has fought alongside Hamas against Israel in multiple wars, most recently in 2014.

The Hamas-controlled Health Ministry initially claimed the blast east of Rafah in southern Gaza was caused by an Israeli strike. The IDF denied any involvement in the incident and said none of its forces had opened fire in the area.

The incident came amid tensions along the security fence in recent weeks, with the Palestinians holding mass marches near the border, and in some cases rioting, for the last three consecutive weekends. Israel says the violence is being orchestrated by Hamas, which it accuses of trying to carry out border attacks under the cover of large protests.

Israel has noted a gradual decrease in the number of Gazans protesting each week.

On Friday, at least 10,000 Gazans took part in large-scale demonstrations, with the Israeli military saying protesters hurled an explosive device and firebombs at Israeli troops deployed at the border, as well as making “several attempts” to damage the fence between Israel and Gaza and cross over into Israeli territory.

Protesters torched tires and burned large Israeli flags, as well as posters of Israel’s prime minister and defense minister. Large plumes of black smoke from burning tires rose into the sky. They also burned pictures of US President Donald Trump and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Last Friday, about 20,000 Palestinians took part in the demonstrations, with the previous week attracting an estimated 30,000.

The idea of mass protests was initially floated by Palestinian social media activists in Gaza, but was later co-opted by Hamas, which avowedly seeks Israel’s destruction, with the backing of smaller terror groups.

Gaza leaders have planned the so-called Marches of Return to culminate in a million-strong march in mid-May, coinciding with Israel’s 70th Independence Day, the opening of the US embassy in Jerusalem, and Nakba Day — when the Palestinians mark what they call the “catastrophe” that befell them with Israel’s creation.

The “Return” refers to Palestinians’ demand that tens of thousands of refugees and their millions of descendants be allowed to live in today’s Israel, an influx that would spell the end of Israel as the world’s sole Jewish-majority state.

Senior Egyptian intelligence officials who visited the Gaza Strip on Saturday reportedly asked Hamas leaders to halt the weekly mass demonstrations along the border with Israel.

The Egyptian delegation, headed by Sameh Nabil, who is in charge of the Palestinian portfolio in Egypt’s General Intelligence Service, entered the Gaza Strip through the Erez border crossing with Israel.

A Palestinian Authority official in Ramallah said that the Egyptian officials demanded during their talks with Hamas leaders in Gaza City that the terror group end the protests, which began three weeks ago as part of the so-called March of Return.

“The Egyptians are worried that the confrontations along the border between the Gaza Strip and Israel could lead to a serious deterioration,” the official told The Times of Israel. “The Egyptians are also concerned that the clashes could move to the border between the Gaza Strip and Egypt.”

Egypt has refused to open the Rafah border crossing with the Gaza Strip on a permanent basis, a decision that has drawn sharp criticism from Palestinians living in the coastal enclave.

Unconfirmed reports in a number of Arab media outlets in the past few days said that Egypt has been pressuring Hamas to halt the “March of Return” in exchange for easing travel restrictions at the Rafah crossing.

Adel Abed Al Rahman, spokesperson for the Egyptian delegation that visited the Gaza Strip, said that the talks with the Hamas leaders focused on the issue of “reconciliation” between the terror group and Mahmoud Abbas’s ruling Fatah faction.

Hamas and Fatah signed a reconciliation agreement in Cairo in October 2017 in which they pledged to end their differences and pave the way for achieving Palestinian unity. However, the two rival parties have since failed to reach understandings on the implementation of the Egyptian-brokered deal, and continue to hold each other responsible for its failure.

Abbas has accused Hamas of failing to hand full control of the Gaza Strip over to his Ramallah-based government. He has also threatened to impose new sanctions on Hamas unless it complies with his demands.

Hamas, for its part, has accused Abbas of failing to lift sanctions he imposed on the Gaza Strip last year, including suspending payments to thousands of civil servants. Hamas has also rejected Abbas’s demand to allow his security forces to deploy in the Gaza Strip.

Egyptian intelligence officials who were trying to mediate between Hamas and Fatah left the Gaza Strip shortly after last month’s attempt on the life of Rami Hamdallah, the PA prime minister. Hamdallah’s convoy was targeted by a roadside bomb as he was on his way to inaugurate a water waste plant in the northern Gaza Strip. Neither he nor PA General Intelligence Chief Majed Faraj, who was also in the convoy, were hurt.

Hamas officials refused to comment on the claim that the Egyptians were pressuring them to halt the “March of Return.”

However, shortly after the Egyptian officials left the Gaza Strip, Khalil al-Hayya, a senior Hamas official, announced that the mass demonstrations would continue “until they achieve their real goals.”

The protests, Hayya said, will continue until May 15, when Palestinians mark Nakba Day, the Gregorian calendar date for Israel Independence Day.

“Our Palestinian people will continue the marches and the intifada against the Israeli occupation until they achieve the right of return,” Hayya said, referring to the demand that Israel allow Palestinian refugees and their descendants to return to their former homes inside Israel.

t is a matter of history that when the Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces, General Dwight Eisenhower, found the victims of the death camps, he ordered all possible photographs to be taken, and for the German people from surrounding villages to be ushered through the camps and even made to bury the dead.

He did this because he said in words to this effect:

'Get it all on record now - get the films - get the witnesses - because somewhere down the road of history some bastard will get up and say that this never happened'.

This week, the UK debated whether to remove The Holocaust from its school curriculum because it 'offends' the Muslim population which claims it never occurred.

It is not removed as yet. However, this is a frightening portent of the fear that is gripping the world and how easily each country is giving into it.

It is now more than 60 years after the Second World War in Europe ended. This e-mail is being sent as a memorial chain, in memory of the, six million Jews, 20 million Russians, 10 million Christians, and 1,900 Catholic priests Who were 'murdered, raped, burned, starved, beaten, experimented on and humiliated' while many in the world looked the other way!

Now, more than ever, with Iran, among others, claiming the Holocaust to be 'a myth,' it is imperative to make sure the world never forgets.
This e-mail is intended to reach 400 million people! Be a link in the memorial chain and help distribute this around the world.
How many years will it be before the attack on the World Trade Center 'NEVER HAPPENED',
Because it offends some Muslims??? Or some other people who feel offended? Or decide the past is not "politicaly" correct?
Do not just delete this message; it will take only a minute to pass this along.

Exodus: Jews Flee Paris Suburbs over Rising Tide of Anti-Semitism

Members of French Jewish community walk in a street of Paris, Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017. If far-right candidate Marine Le Pen wins the upcoming presidential election, she plans to ban religious symbols from French streets, which would impact on Jews who would no longer be allowed to wear their kippa head-coverings, and Muslims who would no longer be allowed to wear headscarfs in public which may dramatically alter the country's urban landscape. French-Jewish families are being forced from their homes in Paris suburbs as Europe continues to be convulsed by levels of anti-Semitism not seen since the end of the Second World War.
The Paris commuter newspaper 20 Minutes documents an “internal exodus” during 2017 of Jews from the Seine-Saint-Denis department, saying it is emblematic of broader concerns that French Jews, like their brothers and sisters across Europe, are finding it increasingly difficult to reconcile their faith with the changing demographics of the continent.

The paper reports that Jews are leaving their homes on the northeastern fringe of Paris to escape the open hostility that French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe on Sunday condemned as “well-rooted.” The newspaper reports:

This ‘internal exodus’ is difficult to quantify, but it is clear that many synagogues of Seine-Saint-Denis have closed, for lack of people. In Pierrefitte, the rabbi has recorded a 50 percent decline in the congregations since his arrival thirteen years ago. A similar story is told in (nearby) Bondy, where attendance on Yom Kippur (the holiest day of the Jewish calendar) has fallen from about 800 to 400 in the last decade.

The Bondy synagogue president saw a “deteriorating climate” of the last 15 years as driving the exodus, “It’s hard to explain, it’s provocations, it’s looks,” he lamented. “There are places where we do not feel welcome.”

His observations mimic those made 12 months before in nearby Raincy, where local Rabbi Moshe Lewin said he feared he could be one of the last Jewish leaders in Seine-Saint-Denis.

“What upsets me is that in some areas of France, Jews can no longer live peacefully, and that just five minutes from my home, some are forced to hide their kippas (skullcaps) or their Star of David,” he said.

The sensation of “not feeling welcome” is nothing new to French Jews. In 2015, journalist Zvika Klein recorded the reaction to his taking to the streets of Paris wearing a traditional kippa. See the result for yourself below:

Australia: Muslims took to the streets in support of Islamic terror and violence against the Jewish State (Hezbollah and Hamas).
Australian Jewish leader Avi Yemini was interviewed by Sky News and described it as "a black day for Australia."
Look at the footage from the protest, Not one Australian flag could be found.
They waved dozens of 'Palestinian' Jihadi flags but not even one Australian flag.
Every week thousands of Islamists (Hamas terrorists & their supporters) take part in violent riots along the Gaza border.
During which rioters threw rocks, firebombs and even opened fire at Israeli troops on the other side of the fence.
For many Israeli families, the Gaza Strip is a short walk from their backyard. IDF soldiers don’t just protect a border, but what lies behind it -- our families, our homes, and our children.
Israel, like any other sovereign state, has a right to defend itself.

Netanyahu: Israel ‘fully supports’ US-led strikes in Syria after chemical attack

PM says US-British-French military action on Assad military targets proved 'commitment to the fight against chemical weapons not limited to statements only'

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday said Israel “fully supports” the pre-dawn airstrikes on Syrian military targets led by the US in a joint operation with Britain and France in response to the Assad regime’s alleged use of chemical weapons earlier this month.
In a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office on Saturday, Netanyahu said, “A year ago, I made clear that Israel fully supports the decision by US President Donald Trump to stand against the use and dissemination of chemical weapons,” referring to American strikes against the Syrian regime in April 2017 after a sarin gas attack on a rebel-held town.
Trump’s determination and Israel’s support stands unchanged,” Netanyahu said.

“This morning, led by the Americans, the US, Britain, and France proved that their commitment to the fight against chemical weapons is not limited to statements only,” he went on.

Netanyahu said that it should be “clear to President Assad that his irresponsible efforts to obtain weapons of mass destruction and its use… and his willingness to allow Iran and its proxies to entrench themselves in Syria” put the country in danger.

Earlier Saturday, Netanyahu’s office reportedly ordered Israeli ministers not to talk about the US-led missile strikes, after a minister and lawmaker hailed the pre-dawn raids as a measured response to Damascus’ alleged use of chemical weapons.
According to Channel 10, Netanyahu’s office issued the directive hours after Housing Minister Yoav Galant said the joint military operation carried out by the US, Britain, and France sent “an important signal to the axis of evil — Iran, Syria, and Hezbollah.”
Galant, a member of the security cabinet and a former general, earlier tweeted that “the use of chemical weapons crosses a red line that humanity is no longer willing to accept.”
Zionist Union MK Tzipi Livni also welcomed the strikes on Saturday, saying “that world powers are sending the message that they will not tolerate the use of chemical weapons.” She also urged the US to prevent further Iranian military entrenchment in Syria, calling it “against global interest and dire for Israel.”
Earlier in the day, an unnamed official in Jerusalem said that Israel considered the strikes an “appropriate” response to the Syrian regime’s suspected chemical gas attack on the rebel-held town of Douma last week, and warned that Damascus’s actions put it in danger of further strikes, including against its leadership.
“Last year, [US] President [Donald] Trump made it clear that using chemical weapons crossed a red line. Tonight, led by the Americans, the US, France, and Britain acted appropriately,” said a statement attributed to an unnamed official.

“Syria continues to carry out murderous actions and to be a base for these and other actions, including by Iran, that puts its territory, forces and leadership in danger,” the terse statement said.
Israel was informed ahead of the strikes, sources said.
US President Donald Trump announced the joint action against Assad’s regime from the White House late Friday. He said the strikes were a direct response to the April 7 attack on Douma, outside Damascus, that rescuers and monitors say killed more than 40 people.
“The evil and the despicable attack left mothers and fathers, infants and children thrashing in pain and gasping for air. These are not the actions of a man. They are crimes of a monster instead,” Trump said.
US Defense Secretary Jim Mattis called the strikes a “one-time shot” with no additional military action planned for now.
The strikes were the biggest foreign military action so far against Syria’s regime.
The targets included a scientific research facility near Damascus, a chemical weapons storage facility west of the city of Homs, and a third location near Homs that contained both a command post and a chemical weapons equipment storage facility, the US military said.
The facilities hit had however reportedly been evacuated in recent days.

Syrian state media reported only three people injured, while Russia’s defense ministry said there were “no victims” among Syrian civilians and military personnel.
The strikes were targeted to inflict maximum damage on sites linked to chemical weapons development. A top Pentagon official, Lieutenant General Kenneth McKenzie, said the action would set back Syria’s chemical weapons program “for years.”
On Saturday, Trump hailed the US-led missile assault as perfectly executed.
“A perfectly executed strike last night. Thank you to France and the United Kingdom for their wisdom and the power of their fine Military,” Trump tweeted early Saturday.
“Could not have had a better result. Mission Accomplished!”
Pentagon spokeswoman Dana White later told reporters: “We successfully hit every target.”
Assad, who has denied ever using chemical weapons against his opponents, responded to the strikes with a defiant vow.
“This aggression will only make Syria and its people more determined to keep fighting and crushing terrorism in every inch of the country,” he said.
Assad’s key ally Iran also slammed the attack, with supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei describing Western leaders as “criminals.”
Iranian entrenchment
Though the remarks by the Israeli officials primarily praised the US-led strikes, their mention of Iran’s continued attempts to entrench itself in Syria reflected Israel’s primary concern.
Israel revealed on Friday that an Iranian drone shot down in Israeli airspace in February was carrying explosives. The drone was launched from an airbase in Syria. That base was attacked on Monday, allegedly by Israel, in a strike that reportedly targeted Iran’s entire attack drone weapons system — prompting soaring tensions between Israel and Iran.

The Iranian drone shot down in February was carrying enough explosives to cause damage, military sources said. Its precise intended target in Israel was not known, they said.
The February incident marked an unprecedented direct Iranian attack on Israel. Israel’s acknowledgment of the nature of the drone’s mission “brings the confrontation” between Israel and Iran “into the open” for the first time, Israel’s Channel 10 news noted Friday.
Netanyahu used a speech on Holocaust Remembrance Day this week to warn Iran: “Don’t test the resolve of the State of Israel.”
The alleged Israeli attack this week on the base from which the drone was dispatched is understood to have targeted Iran’s entire drone weapons system at the Syrian base, which was protected by surface-to-air missiles and other defenses, the TV report said.
“This was a harsh blow” to the Iranians, it added. “It is clear they will react.”
Immediately after shooting down the Iranian drone on February 10, Israel carried out airstrikes against a number of Iranian targets in Syria, including on the T-4 base in central Syria where the Iranian operator of the drone was located.

During the aerial raids, an Israeli F-16 was downed by a Syrian anti-aircraft battery, crashing in northern Israel, prompting further retaliatory raids against Syria’s anti-aircraft systems. Both the Israeli pilots ejected.

At least four Palestinians were killed Saturday in an explosion near the Gaza Strip border with Israel.

Palestinian sources said the blast was caused by the IDF shelling a Hamas post just east of Rafah.

The IDF denied any involvement in the incident and said none of its forces had opened fire in the area.

Sick Lie: Palestinians Depict Holocaust Victims’ Photo as ‘Arabs Killed By Jews’

In what can only be described as a new low, Palestinian TV misrepresented a photo of concentration camp victims as Arabs, making the preposterous claim that Jews burned Arabs in oven.

By: United with Israel Staff, with files from Palestinian Media Watch

Only days before Israel’s Holocaust Memorial Day, the Palestinian Authority committed one of the most shocking recent displays of hate and duplicity, using its TV network to broadcast a photo of victims of a Nazi concentration camp while claiming that the victims were Arabs killed by Jews.

PA TV altered the photo showing hundreds of dead bodies at the Nazi concentration camp at Nordhausen, originally a subcamp of Buchenwald, presenting the victims as “Arabs killed by Jews” on April 9, 1948 in the Arab village of Deir Yassin. To do so, PA TV erased the striped concentration camp uniforms and images of American soldiers in the original photo.

The network then made the absurd claim that Jewish fighters put Arabs in ovens in 1948, stating, “[The Jews] burned the women and children in the village’s oven”

In addition altering the concentration camp photo, PA TV also showed a photo of victims of the massacre in the Sabra and Shatila camp perpetrated by Christian Lebanese forces, and claimed instead that Jews committed the crimes in 1948.
As if the PA’s outright lies were not disturbing enough, it timed this disgraceful display to coincide with Israel’s annual Holocaust Remembrance Day. In the same week when Israelis gather to mourn and remember family members who were brutally killed during the Nazi genocide, the PA presented pictures of these victims as invented evidence of events that never occurred.

Israel Remembers 6 Million on Holocaust Remembrance Day
Each year, Israelis pause from their routines to ponder the fate of the six millions Jews who perished in the Holocaust, vowing to never again allow such an atrocity to occur.

By: United with Israel Staff

Israel’s Yom HaShoah, or Holocaust Remembrance Day, is observed each year in the spring following the Passover holiday. Yom HaShoah occurs on the 27th day of the Jewish month of Nisan and is marked by memorial ceremonies and the sounding of a siren throughout the entire country for two minutes at 10 a.m.

During these moments, wherever Israelis find themselves they stop–pulling over cars, halting buses, pausing from work–and the nation comes to a complete standstill.

In the past, Yad Vashem, the World Holocaust Remembrance Center, has emphasized the significance of personal remembrance and survivor testimony, to restore the identities of individual victims, instead of viewing victims of genocide as a monolithic group.

On Wednesday evening, the State of Israel marked the official start of Holocaust Martyrs’ and Heroes’ Remembrance Day, with an opening ceremony at Warsaw Ghetto Square at Yad Vashem, Mount of Remembrance, Jerusalem.

Among those present were Israel’s President Reuven Rivlin and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Yad Vashem Council Chairman Rabbi Israel Meir Lau, who kindled the Memorial Torch, and Zipora Nahir, who spoke on behalf of Holocaust survivors. Singers Amir Dadon and Meshi Kleinstein participated in the ceremony, along with the IDF Paratroopers’ Honor Guard and master of ceremony Sara Beck.

This year, Yom HaShoah is observed against a backdrop of heightened anti-Semitism in the West and Islamic world, in addition to rampant Holocaust denial and distortion in Eastern Europe.

Just last week, the Hamas terrorist organization waved a Nazi flag during violent riots organzied to breach sovereign Israeli territory and run roughshod over the Jewish state. Blood libels and Holocaust denial are another common trope in various corners of the Muslim world, with Palestinian Authority TV recently displaying an image of Holocaust victims and claiming outrageously that the prostrate figures in the photo were “Arabs killed by Jews.”

In Poland and Lithuania, there has been a steady push to deny the role of Nazi collaborators and portray citizens as passive victims of the Nazi occupation. Poland has gone so far as to pass a law criminalizing references to Polish complicity in Nazi war crimes. Lithuania for its part seeks to equate crimes by communists with Nazi genocide, to minimize the role of Lithuanians in the crimes of World War II.

In Israel, aging Holocaust survivors will gather to bear testimony to their own experience this year on Yom HaShoah, exposing younger generations to the ultimate horror hate can cause. Young and old join together to remember the brave souls, mothers, fathers, and children who perished at the hands of the Nazi monsters, and to utter that time-worn yet powerful refrain: “Never again.”

WATCH: How Hamas Engineered its Violent Gaza Riots
While Hamas terrorists portrayed their “March of Return” as a peaceful protest against Israel, in reality it was a carefully planned, violent onslaught using human shields, hidden weapons, and seriously biased international media.

The recent unrest along Israel’s border with the Gaza Strip has been disingenuously presented as a spontaneous and largely peaceful grassroots demonstration. This couldn’t be further from the truth.

In reality, the violent riots and attempts to breach Israel’s security barrier represented a carefully planned campaign developed and executed by one of the wealthiest Islamic terror organizations in the world: Hamas.

This video exposes exactly how Hamas planned and carried out their violent mayhem and latest scheme to attack the Jewish state.

Putin announces defeat of Islamic State in Syria

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a positive development for his country in the seven-year Syrian civil war, following months of strategic disappointments and diplomatic setbacks.

After committing Russian armed forces to support the internationally blacklisted regime of Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad, Putin has announced that the self-proclaimed Islamic State has been defeated in Syria.

Islamic Stateless
With their Caliphate crumbling in both Iraq and Syria, ISIS’ territory has been reduced to a small strip of land along Syria’s Euphrates River Valley near the border with Iraq. In March, officials from the U.S.-led Combined Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve reported an escalation in precision air strikes aimed at denying any safe quarter to the remnants of the Islamic State.

On Wednesday, the Interfax news agency quoted Putin as saying that ISIS had been defeated in Syria, although he cautioned that the terrorist organization remained a source of international violence and instability. Referring to ISIS’s unconventional military potential, the Russian president said: “It is evident that despite its military situation, this terrorist group retains a significant destructive potential, and the ability to change its tactics quickly and attack countries and regions around the world.”

In a clear instance of putting the cart before the horse, Putin’s declaration comes months after declaring “victory” in Syria as a result of meeting the very narrow strategic objective of ensuring the survival of the Assad regime. However, Brookings non-resident senior fellow Pavel Baev explained how this was not Putin’s first triumphant declaration of victory in Syria:

Putin’s repeated proclamations of victory in Syria — on November 22, while greeting Bashar Assad in Sochi; on December 6, in his long-expected announcement about his participation in March’s presidential election; and on December 11, while visiting the Khmeimim airbase and embracing Assad yet again — belied facts on the ground and impressed neither his domestic audience nor leaders in Ankara or Tehran.

On Dec. 11, 2017, Putin gave a speech that was remarkably similar to his Wednesday announcement, declaring, “The fact that we defeated ISIS, one of the main terrorist groups, here in Syria is extremely important for Syria, Russia, and the entire world.” Then — as now — he cautioned that globally, “the threat of terrorism remains high.”

America’s commitment
Putin’s repeated victory laps in Syria and his stated intent to withdraw troops from that volatile theater haven’t impressed U.S. military planners. Pentagon spokesman and Marine Corps Major Adrian Rankine-Galloway told CNBC in December:

Russian comments about removing forces do not often correspond with actual troop reductions, and these statements do not affect U.S. priorities in Syria. The global coalition will continue to operate along with local forces to defeat ISIS. Our goal is a stabilized and liberated territory, which allow displaced Syrians and refugees to return.

If what the recently re-elected Russian president says is true, and ISIS has been effectively defeated in Syria, this may signal the end of America’s commitment to their mission in the region. U.S. President Donald Trump surprised the Pentagon and other policymakers last week when he insisted that a full withdrawal from Syria was imminent.

“Let the other people take care of it now,” Trump said. “We are going back to our country, where we want to be, where we belong.”

However, Trump downplayed this statement later during a Tuesday press conference, telling reporters, “I want to get out, I want to bring our troops back home,” and adding that the work of defeating ISIS has “almost completed.” But the Republican president also insisted that “we will not rest until ISIS is gone” and the coalition is consulted.

Do you think U.S. troops should remain in Syria?
Yes
No
Next
Looking forward
With over 2,000 ISIS fighters entrenched in fighting positions along the Iraq-Syria border, it is painfully clear that even ISIS’s conventional forces are by no means defeated. After Trump very plainly voiced his desire to withdraw from the war-torn country, as well as the precondition for that withdrawal, Putin’s second victory over ISIS speech may be less about winning a public relations victory at home and more about pressuring his American counterpart to leave Syria.

But it would be imprudent for the Trump administration to follow the example of its predecessor by leaving a war-torn country before the fight is won. By doing so, Trump would not only set the conditions for the re-emergence of the Islamic State, but he would also be ceding regional authority to Russia and Iran — an unacceptable result for the world’s only superpower.
