Conspiracy: New Docs Reveal Who’s Behind “Russiagate” Scandal
December 14, 2018
Conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch has just released new documents from the Obama administration – and they’re explosive.

If you’re a conservative who suspects that the “Russiagate” scandal was a carefully curated conspiracy against a legitimately elected president, you were right. The man behind it all? Former President Barack Obama.

Judicial Watch has the story:

Judicial Watch today released two sets of heavily redacted State Department documents, 38 pagesand 48 pages, showing classified information was researched and disseminated to multiple U.S. Senators by the Obama administration immediately prior to President Donald Trump’s inauguration. The documents reveal that among those receiving the classified documents were Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA), Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD), and Sen. Robert Corker (R-TN).

“These documents show remarkable evidence of the non-stop, unethical effort in the Obama State Department to gather and send its own dossier of classified information on Russia in an effort to discredit the incoming Trump administration,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

The Obama administration used its governmental powers to attempt to sabotage Trump before he even came to power. The media has been using that playbook ever since. It’s truly a national disgrace.

Judicial Watch: Documents Reveal Obama State Department Urgently Provided Classified ‘Russiagate’ Documents to Multiple Senators Immediately Ahead of Trump Inauguration
DECEMBER 14, 2018

Email PrintText Size
We made the deadline! Thank you everyone for what was truly a Department-wide effort!’ – former senior advisor to the assistant secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs, less than 24 hours before Trump inauguration

(Washington, DC) Judicial Watch today released two sets of heavily redacted State Department documents, 38 pages and 48 pages, showing classified information was researched and disseminated to multiple U.S. Senators by the Obama administration immediately prior to President Donald Trump’s inauguration. The documents reveal that among those receiving the classified documents were Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA), Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD), and Sen. Robert Corker (R-TN).

Judicial Watch obtained the documents through a June 2018 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed against the State Department after it failed to respond to a February 2018 request seeking records of the Obama State Department’s last-minute efforts to share classified information about Russia election interference issues with Democratic Senator Ben Cardin (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of State (No. 1:18-cv-01381)).

The documents reveal the Obama State Department urgently gathering classified Russia investigation information and disseminating it to members of Congress within hours of Donald Trump taking office.

In a Thursday, January 5, 2017, email chain then-State Department Congressional Advisor Hera Abassi indicates that then-Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland’s bureau was attempting to get Russian investigation related documents to the office of Senator Mark Warner (D-VA) office as quickly as possible. (In June 2016 Nuland permitted a meeting between Steele and the FBI’s legal attaché in Rome. Nuland told CBS News that the State Department knew about the Steele dossier by July 2016.)
In the email, with the subject line “For Immediate Review – Call Sheet for S Call with Senator Warner,” Abassi writes:

“I told Cardin’s folks … that the process is long. Can we ensure that there are no holdups on our end?”

Minutes later, Abassi confirms that Nuland was fully aware of the information that the State Department was providing to members of Congress alleging Russia interference information:

“This is definitely on EUR A/S radar!”

Leaving no doubt that the State Department officials knew they were transmitting classified information, in a Wednesday, January 18, 2017, email with the subject line “Cables/M,” Former Foreign Service Officer Kerem Bilge writes to State Department Congressional advisor Hilary Johnson and others: “Highest class is SECRET/NOFORN.”
Johnson replies:

“FYI – so we can keep the SECRET/NOFORN header, and should declassify it 25 years from tomorrow.

“I forwarded the fully cleared version to the two of you on the high side [Editor’s Note: “high side” is State Department term for high security classification system], but let me know if there’s anything else you need from me on this.

“Note: we’ll need to make sure there is someone in Senate security tomorrow who can accept these.”

On Wednesday, January 18, 2017, Johnson confirms that classified documents were sent to Senator Corker in addition to Senator Cardin. “Flagging that I sent you a high side request for clearance of the draft transmittal letter to send documents to Senators Corker and Cardin.”
Additionally, involved in providing classified information to members of the Senate was Naz Durakoglu, Senior Advisor to the Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs. In an email dated Thursday, January 19, 2017, with the subject line “Signed, sealed, delivered” Durakoglu apparently confirms that Obama State Department officials were eager to provide the classified material before Trump was sworn into office: “We made the deadline!” Durakoglu states [Emphasis added] “Thank you everyone for what was truly a Department-wide effort!”

President Trump was inaugurated less than 24 hours later.

In a Wednesday, January 18, 2017 email, Naz Durakoglu signed off on the document transmittal letter on behalf of her bureau. This letter accompanied “the documents to Senator Corker and Cardin”
In a Thursday, January 19, 2017 email, Durakoglu appears to confirm that she is who carried the documents from the State Department to Capitol Hill. She states, “I will be carrying over the cables to the Hill.”
“These documents show remarkable evidence of the non-stop, unethical effort in the Obama State Department to gather and send its own dossier of classified information on Russia in an effort to discredit the incoming Trump administration,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

According to a March 2017 report in the Baltimore Sun:“Maryland Sen. Ben Cardin received classified information about Russia’s involvement in elections when the Obama administration was attempting to disseminate that material widely across the government in order to aid in future investigations, according to a report Wednesday … Obama officials were concerned, according to the report [in The New York Times], that the Trump administration would cover up intelligence once power changed hands.”

Judicial Watch has confirmed through previously obtained State Department documents that the Obama State Department did, in fact, provide classified documents to Senator Cardin. The documents also show Russian political interference in elections and politics in countries across Europe. In a section of the documents provided to Cardin titled “Political Parties” and marked as sensitive, Russia reportedly sought to foster relationships with groups in Germany, Austria, and France, to include paying members to travel to conferences in Crimea and Donbas “where they stoutly defend Russian policy.”

The following section titled “Pro-Kremlin NGOs and Think Tanks,” also marked as sensitive, discusses the Russian government funded Caucasus Research Network, which helped to spread anti-EU and NATO reports throughout the region. Also discussed is the Human Rights Accountability Global Initiative, which was founded by Natalia Veselnitskaya. The Initiative was reportedly “working to erode support for the Magnitsky Act (which imposes sanctions on … gross human rights violations). The organization screened an anti-Magnitsky film at Washington’s Newseum in June.”

The Magnitsky Act attracted public attention earlier this year when it was reported Veselnitskaya obtained a meeting with Donald Trump Jr. with the purpose of seeking to undermine the act. It was reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin wanted to repeal the act at least in part because it targeted top Russian officials who had committed human rights violations and were the beneficiaries of a $230-million tax fraud that Magnitsky exposed.

Another key Obama-era FBI official to retire
https://www.patriotnewsalerts.com/bill-priestap-retiring/?utm_medium=ci&utm_source=push&utm_campaign=pna
December 7, 2018 by Jerry McCormick
Another key Obama-era FBI official to retire
Tom Lohdan / CCL
One of the last remaining members of the Obama-era FBI has announced his retirement.

Bill Priestap, who is the Assistant Director of Counterintelligence for the FBI, will retire before the end of the year.

Finally Leaving
President Trump has been at odds with much of the FBI top leadership from virtually his first day in office.

His displeasure with former FBI director James Comey was very public and created more than a few waves for the president.

There was already tension between the two but after Comey started leaking information to the press, things really got out of control.

Trump, along with many of his supporters, believe the upper-level management of the FBI was chasing a political agenda rather than seeking out justice.

The handling of the Hillary Clinton email probe is proof positive the agency was operating with political prejudice.

Now that Priestap is leaving, maybe the FBI can get back to being one of the greatest law enforcement agencies in the world.

Adios, Priestap
Priestap was involved in the Hillary Clinton email investigation, along with the initial Trump-Russia investigation.

In fact, he was the last key official remaining at the FBI who had been involved in both investigations.

Reportedly, his decision had nothing to do with the questions surrounding those investigations. Still, it is no real surprise Priestap elected to retire as soon as he was eligible.

An FBI spokesperson stated, “Assistant Director Bill Priestap became eligible to retire and has chosen to do so after 20 years of service.”

Out with the old
Some of the other more notable officials who have recently left or been fired from the bureau are:

James Comey, Director

Andrew McCabe, Deputy Director

Peter Strzok, Counterintelligence

Lisa Page, General Counsel

James Baker, General Counsel

James Rybicki, Comey’s Chief of Staff

Michael Kortan, Assistant Director of Public Affairs

Josh Campbell, Special Assistant to James Comey

James Turgal, Assistant Director to the FBI

Greg Bower, Congressional Liaison

Michael Steinbach, FBI National Security Division

While nobody expects the FBI or any other arm of our Justice Department to operate at the behest of the president, they are expected to operate without a political agenda.

Do You Think the FBI Will Return to Form?
Yes
No
Next
Under Comey’s leadership, that was clearly not the case.

Hopefully, out with the old and in with the new will finally change that.

Former President Barack Obama said on Tuesday that he was “very confident” he would have won a third term had the Constitution and his wife allowed him to run again.
Speaking to his former top adviser David Axelrod at a live recording of the “The Axe Files” podcast at the University of Chicago, Obama said he believes voters felt that he had “taken the job seriously, worked hard, been true to my oath, observed and hopefully strengthened the norms and the rules and the values of our democracy.”

“I feel very confident that I was in a position—had it not been for both the Constitution and Michelle—to continue in office,” Obama said.

Axelrod had earlier said that some people would like Obama to serve in perpetuity and joked about some of Obama’s supporters even wanting him to run for vice president.

The former president, though, added that he is “not sure it is a healthy thing” to serve more than two terms, pointing out that in countries without term limits, “even very good people… lose their edge and get stale and comfortable in the position.”

Obama said it is “useful to have a democracy have to continually evolve.”

Had Obama been allowed to run for a third term, he would have faced off against Donald Trump in 2016. But when Axelrod asked whether Obama believed he could defeat President Trump in 2020 in a hypothetical one-on-one matchup, Obama did not take the bait.

“I will not answer that direct question for obvious reasons,” Obama said.

Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders named in CNN lawsuit against White House
November 15, 2018 by Jerry McCormick
https://www.patriotnewsalerts.com/sanders-named-in-lawsuit/?utm_medium=ci&utm_source=push&utm_campaign=pna
Image via Video Screenshot
After CNN chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta lost his press pass to the White House after he put his hands on an intern and refused to give up the microphone at a press conference, CNN went after the Trump administration with both barrels.

The network, supporting Acosta, has filed a lawsuit naming not only the president, but also some of his top aides, including Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

The Denial
CNN has argued that the White House’s decision to revoke Acosta’s press pass is a violation of the reporter’s First Amendment rights — but that is hardly the case.

He disrespected the president.

He disrespected an intern, as well.

These are the reasons he lost his press credentials.

Not Unprecedented
But if you heard the story from liberals, you’d think what Trump did prior to Acosta’s outburst was an outrage.

How dare the president talk to a reporter in such a manner?

But he wasn’t the only one to do such a thing.

Let’s take a quick trip back in history to when the “fearless leader” Barack Obama did something very similar.

This is then-President Obama dressing down Neil Munro of the Daily Caller:
VIDEO https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xnFhvjhAtI&feature=player_embedded&ab_channel=CBSNews

Obama also criticzed Major Garrett for a question about American hostages in Iran. Take a look:
VIDEO https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=62&v=Q6OquAcN6vI&ab_channel=CNN

Obama also kicked someone out of a press conference by physically ejecting them. (Notice the cocky wave of the hand to security as though he is a king dismissing a subject in the video below.)
"You're in my house" Obama shuts down a heckler during speech
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HpF9ObMoIDc&ab_channel=euronews%28inEnglish%29

What President Trump did is not unprecedented when a reporter gets out of hand and disrespects a president.

Do You Agree with Acosta’s Credentials Being Suspended?
Yes
No
Next
It has just become a major issue now because Trump is the president and not the “all-knowing” and “always-right” Barack Obama.

Looks like it’s once again time for liberals to take a look in the mirror before coming after POTUS 45.

Here’s the Proof: Obama Treated Journalists WAY Worse than Trump
by Matt Palumbo
November 14, 2018
https://bongino.com/heres-the-proof-obama-treated-journalists-way-worse-than-trump/?utm=pcarter#.W-3hEYf7Tcs
Jim Acosta’s hard pass has been suspended by the White House, and the charges that President Donald Trump is at war with the media have again become common. Those in the media may wan to remind themselves who exactly started that war.
In an earlier article comparing and contrasting Trump and Barack Obama’s treatment of Russia, I argued that while Trump has been kind in terms of rhetoric, he’s been far tougher on Russia than Obama. Trump approved the sale of weapons to Ukraine to protect against Russia (which Obama refused to do), condemned Russia’s annexation of Crimea (which Obama didn’t do), imposed sanctions on Russia, and many other actions unfavorably towards the Hermit Kingdom. The case of Trump and the media is almost the exact opposite. While Trump’s rhetoric towards the media has been almost exclusively hostile, Trump hasn’t interfered with journalists work one iota in comparison to Obama.

The month before Trump took office, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist James Risen wrote in the New York Times that “If Donald J. Trump decides as president to throw a whistle-blower in jail for trying to talk to a reporter, or gets the F.B.I. to spy on a journalist, he will have one man to thank for bequeathing him such expansive power: Barack Obama.”
Risen would know – as he fought efforts from the Department of Justice under both Obama and George W. Bush to compel him to identify sources from a 2006 book of his.
“The Most Transparent Administration in History”
The self-described “most transparent” administration in history was objectively the least transparent.
According to a report published during Obama’s last year in office, the administration set a record for rejections of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. The Obama administration either censored materials or rejected requests outright for access in a record 596,095 cases (77% of the time). In just his last year in office alone, the Obama administration spent $36.2 million in legal fees fighting FOIA related lawsuits.

I’ve seen attempts to argue that the “77% rejection” figure is inaccurate, but only if you count censored documents as having been fulfilled FOIA requests. Perhaps under Common Core math that makes sense.
Prosecuting Journalists
Obama prosecuted more journalists under the Espionage Act than all other Presidents combined. While many certainly deserved it (such as Chelsea Manning), are we to believe there were more acts of espionage from 2009-2016 than the rest of American history?

In total, 13 people have been prosecuted under the Espionage Act for sharing classified information with journalists since 1945. Of those 13, eight were arrested while Obama was president. Only one person has been prosecuted under the Espionage Act under Trump’s presidency (a woman bizarrely named “Reality Winner’), which is entirely justified for the same reasons that Manning’s charges were justified.

As one writer put it, “Trump rages about leakers. Obama quietly prosecuted them.”
Obama Would’ve Expelled Fox News if He Could’ve
Trump wants a single person from CNN gone – Jim Acosta. Obama wanted all of Fox News gone. Just months ago in September he said with a straight face that “It shouldn’t be Democratic or Republican to say that we don’t threaten the freedom of the press because they say things or publish stories we don’t like. I complained plenty about Fox News, but you never heard me threaten to shut them down or call them enemies of the people.”

Obama may have not branded Fox News “enemies of the people,” but he certainly treated them as if they were.

In 2009 Obama’s White House intentionally excluded Chris Wallace from a round of interviews related to Obama’s push for healthcare reform.
Later in the year the administration attempted to block Fox reporters from interviewing “pay czar” Kenneth Feinberg, and then lied about it. An internal White House email dated October 22nd 2009 proves that the White House director of broadcast media told Treasury officials “We’d prefer if you skip Fox please.”

Obama’s communications director Anita Dunn publicly echoed the same sentiments at the time. “We’re going to treat them [Fox News] the way we would treat an opponent. As they are undertaking a war against Barack Obama and the White House, we don’t need to pretend that this is the way that legitimate news organizations behave.”

In 2012 Fox was excluded from a White House conference call related to the then-recent attacks in Benghazi, killing four Americans. Fox was also excluded from the CIA’s briefing about the attack.

And to again reference the Espionage Act, in 2012 Fox News’ James Rosen was labeled a “criminal co-conspirator” under the Espionage Act because he used a State Department contractor as a source for a story. At least five of Rosen’s phone lines were seized, and the FBI obtained a warrant to search his emails. The phone records of Rosen’s parents were also seized.
What’s the Trumpian comparison? Calling people he doesn’t like “fake news” and hurting Jim Acosta’s feelings?

Barack Obama is out on the campaign trail and he is wasting no time in attacking President Donald Trump and his administration.
Friday, while making an appearance at a campaign event in Milwaukee, Obama took a jab at Trump, stating, “Nobody in my administration got indicted.”

The Jabs
Obama was hitting Trump hard.

The former president called out Trump for not kicking the corruption out of Washington.

At one point, he hinted there is so much corruption in the Trump administration they could “field a football team.”

He also stated the email investigation was really of no importance to them and was nothing more than grandstanding.

Obama even referenced a denied report by the president about his personal cell phone.

Really Now…
Obama’s comments made for a couple of laughs, but the fact is there is only one reason why nobody in his administration was ever indicted.

As we know now, the administration was manipulating the Justice Department to suit its own purposes.

Obama did everything in his power to protect Hillary, someone that should have been indicted several times.

Between Benghazi and the email fiasco, Hillary should have spent her golden years in a federal prison wearing an orange jumpsuit.

There were several other members of his administration that have also come under considerable scrutiny, but nothing ever happened to them.

Did Obama Cross the Line?
Yes
No
Next
Two names that immediately come to mind are Joe Biden and John Kerry.

Had Obama not had such a grip on the Justice Department, there is little doubt the courtrooms would have been busy for years with high-ranking Democrats in the defendant’s chair.

REMINDER
DANIEL VAUGHAN: New Israeli evidence exposes the many liars behind Iran Deal
May 4, 2018
https://www.conservativeinstitute.org/foreign-policy/iran/daniel-vaughan-new-israeli.htm?
DANIEL VAUGHAN: New Israeli evidence exposes the many liars behind Iran Deal
When it comes to questioning whether or not we need the Iran Deal, we didn’t need new evidence saying it got sold on Iranian lies. We didn’t need more proof that the status quo before the deal was better than a lousy deal. And we didn’t need Israel to smuggle hard evidence out of Iran to know the full scope of Iran’s lies.

But we’ve been supplied more evidence, from Israeli spies operating in Iran. And that evidence underscores the lies and state-sponsored manipulation used to force the deal on the United States.

Detractors say that Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu gave us nothing new in his speech, which outlined the Iranian information dump his intelligence gifted the United States. But that’s flatly untrue.

Iranians are fond of claiming that they’ve never been interested in pursuing nuclear warheads. On April 22, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said to CBS News that “Iran was never racing towards a bomb and it will not be racing towards a bomb.”

But earlier in the interview, when asked what Iran would do if President Donald Trump left the JCPA, Zarif gave a different answer:

[W]e have put a number of options for ourselves and those options are ready, including options that would involve resuming at a much greater speed our nuclear activities.

We already know the bomb line was utterly false because the evidence of Iran rushing to gain nuclear weapons goes back decades. Part of the treasure trove of information from Israel is the depth of knowledge Iran has on nuclear weapons.

And even though they paused a push towards nuclear armament, spooked by the Iraq war in 2003, they retained all the information they had on nuclear arms.

The fact that they preserved information for a nuclear program is critical. If Iran were truly peaceful, they wouldn’t maintain storehouses of information on how to ramp up weapons production. As Eli Lake astutely observes:

If verified, the intelligence also reveals Iran’s intention to eventually build a nuclear weapon. “The most significant thing is that this is a warehoused collection intended to be used later for reconstitution,” Albright said. “They could have destroyed these documents. But these were being carefully protected and hidden with the intention to reuse them when they launch their weapons program.”

When you combine Iranian intentions with their push towards testing ballistic missiles and sneaking around inspections, you get the failure that is the Iran Deal. And it makes Iran’s threat that they could ramp up faster ominous.

It’s fair to ask why Israel and Benjamin Netanyahu are revealing the information now to the United States. The primary reason is straightforward, the latest six-month recertification of the Iran Deal, also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPA), is back before President Trump.

The new evidence provides ammunition to the Trump administration to, at a minimum, tighten the screws on Iran, or scrap the JCPA altogether.

The evidence also comes to light at a time when Israel and Iran are engaging in an increasingly hostile proxy war in Syria. Iran has moved troops, terrorists, and military equipment into Syria to support Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad and provide a launch point for Hezbollah. Israel, in turn, has launched air strikes to counter buildup in Syria that threatens their borders.

The lone silver lining from the Iran deal was that it theoretically slowed down the Iranians from building and using nuclear weapons by a decade. That extra time gave Israel time to prepare for a region with a nuclear Iran.

But when you combine growing war between the two, mounting evidence that Iran ignores the JCPA, and the new threats from Iran that they’re capable of speeding up nuclear activities they claim they don’t have, you understand Israeli anxiety over the looming threat.

Obama’s Professional Liars
While Trump and Netanyahu weigh the consequences of various military options, former Obama administration officials are trying to derail everything by restarting their famed Iran “echo chamber.”

Here’s a pro-tip on all Iran coverage: If a former Obama administration official claims that Trump or conservatives only want war with Iran, you know you’re dealing with a professional liar.

The head of all the professional liars surrounding the Iran Deal is the failed novelist Ben Rhodes, who bragged to the New York Times about how he duped experts and journalists into repeating propaganda to sell the deal.

He lavished praise on himself for building a so-called “echo chamber” that drowned out any and all criticism of Obama or the JCPA. Rhodes and his administration cronies repeated this exercise when Politico correctly reported that the Obama administration prevented the FBI and CIA from attacking Iran’s state-sponsored terrorist group Hezbollah.

And now Rhodes and his cronies are back, claiming that Trump and the Israelis faked the intelligence trove to make Iran look bad.

This stupidity got cooked up by Tommy Vietor, a former spokesperson for Obama’s national security council. As Armin Rosen deftly points out at TabletMag, this is breathtaking anti-Semitism from people who spend their days accusing Trump and his supporters of being Nazis.

If you support the JCPA because you think the world is a safer place for it, that’s fine. There are unquestionably people in the Trump administration who believe this fact.

But what we’re witnessing from Vietor, Rhodes, and other Obama acolytes is a smear campaign. Their desperation to protect anything from the Obama-era — even when a mountain of new evidence gets gift-wrapped to the United States — overrides any sense of duty to country or ally.

We cannot afford a world where Iran becomes North Korea in the Middle East. The US can’t afford it. Israel can’t afford it. The world can’t afford it.

Iran lied before, during, and after the JCPA. Obama’s staffers are now lying about the new Israeli evidence.

Why would we ever believe either of them?

Joe Biden wants to be forgiven.

The former vice president asked for divine grace on Saturday night for not attacking President Donald Trump sooner.

“Barack [Obama] and I agreed we would be quiet for the first year to let the new administration get up and running,” Biden told an audience of 3,000 at an annual dinner in Washington for the Human Rights Campaign, one of the country’s biggest LGBTQ advocacy groups. “God forgive me.”

Biden: “Forgive me” for not attacking Trump
Biden, who is rumored to be preparing for a presidential run in 2020, made the sign of the cross over his chest as he asked for reconciliation for not criticizing Trump sooner. He went on to apologize for not supporting gay marriage earlier.

“It was late,” Biden said. “It was very late.”

Biden said that Trump’s response to the deadly riots in Charlottesville, VA last summer, where white nationalists clashed with counter-protesters, compelled him to speak up. Trump was criticized at the time for saying both sides were at fault.

“We are in a fight for America’s soul and we have leaders who at the time, when that occurred, making a comparison and said there were good people in both groups,” Biden said. “What has become of us? Our silence is complicity.”

“Dregs of society”
Biden went on to call out Trump and his supporters in an anti-Trump broadside, in which the former vice president called Trump a “bully” who is using his platform to empower forces of “intolerance.”

“The president uses the White House as a literal, literal bully pulpit, callously exerting his power over those who have little or none,” Biden said.

He also insinuated that Trump supporters are “the dregs of society.”

“Despite losing in the courts, and in the court of opinion, these forces of intolerance remain determined to undermine and roll back the progress you all have made,” he said. “This time they — not you — have an ally in the White House. This time they have an ally. They’re a small percentage of the American people — virulent people, some of them the dregs of society.”

Is it time for Joe Biden to step away from politics?
Yes
No
Next
2020 run?
Biden, who has been stumping for the Democrats ahead of November’s midterms, appeared to be prepping a presidential run with his anti-Trump remarks at the Saturday dinner. Biden’s wife, Jill, also took shots at Trump while introducing her husband, saying that they want to “pick a fight” with bullies — another hint at a presidential run.

“There is nothing that makes either of us more angry than a bully,” she said. “There’s nothing that’s more unfair or unjust than people using their power to try to make other people feel small, to tell them who they are or what they are capable of, to say their identity doesn’t belong.”

Biden has said that he’ll decide whether to run by January 2019. Some polls show Biden leading Trump in a hypothetical match-up, but Trump has said he “dreams” about running against Biden, who the president says he would crush easily.

I’ve always been stunned that Donald Trump is the first president the media’s called a narcissist. Without opining on whether or not our 45th head of state is obsessed with himself, I can say with absolute certainty that our 44th president definitely was.

Barack Obama loves him some Barack Obama. We saw this numerous times during his presidency, including most odiously at a memorial service for five slain Dallas police officers which the president turned into an advertisement for himself.

The former president is back on the campaign trail, and he’s not missing any opportunities to talk about his favorite subject.

Take a speech in Cleveland, where the president mentioned himself repeatedly. He also had an odd habit of stuttering — something the American Mirror noticed when they put together a video of the president’s remarks.

Obama was in Ohio in support of Richard Cordray, the Democrats’ candidate for governor there, as well as lieutenant governor candidate Betty Sutton.

TRENDING: Watch: Tucker’s Response to Avenatti Insult May Be Best TV You’ll See All Month

“Let, let, let, let, let me just say these, these are friends of mine,” Obama told the audience of Cordray and Sutton. “I admit I am biased.”

Well, okay, fair enough. Everyone is entitled to mention themselves once or twice during a speech, particularly if they’ve been president.

However, he kept on saying that they were both a “friend of mine” and that “I have worked with them.”

Do you think Barack Obama is too focused on himself?
Yes No

Of Cordray, he noted that the candidate “had my back even when some of you couldn’t pronounce my name.”

Yep, we’re still going with that quip in 2018. I understand that Obama’s a dad, but that doesn’t give him a pass on constantly making culturally loaded dad jokes.

Hecklers, too, were about him: “I always miss having at least one heckler up in here,” he said. “I can never really hear what they’re saying, but I appreciate the exercise of free speech.”

And in the “truer words were never spoken” category: “I know that sometimes, when I was president, even when I was a candidate, folks would say, ‘Barack, you’re talking too long.’

‘You’re like too professorial, you’re explaining stuff too much,’” he said. I think that was the excuse they may have given him, but that probably wasn’t the reason that he was being called out for talking too long.

RELATED: Don Jr. Goes Off on Brainless Obama Supporters as He Touts Roaring Economy

The real answer probably has to do with how often Obama likes to pontificate on himself. As the American Mirror pointed out about the stuttering Cleveland address, “Obama talked about himself 79 times during the roughly 40 minute speech, saying ‘I’ 66 times, ‘Me’ 5 times, ‘My’ 5 times, and ‘Mine’ 3 times.”

That sounds about right. During his big speech at the University of Illinois, he mentioned himself over 100 times during the 64-minute address. At least that time, he was accepting an award dedicated to him. This time he was actually campaigning for other candidates. When you’re doing that, it helps if the focus is on them. It also helps if you don’t stammer through it.

Report: Federal Prosecutors Weighing Criminal Charges Against Former Obama White House Counsel
By Jack Davis
September 15, 2018 at 10:39am
https://www.westernjournal.com/report-federal-prosecutors-weighing-criminal-charges-former-obama-white-house-counsel
An attorney who served as White House counsel in the Obama administration is under investigation for his role in dealings linked to the case against Paul Manafort, according to a report from CNN, citing sources “familiar with the matter.”
VIDEO
Manafort, who briefly served as Donald Trump’s campaign manager, was the target of an investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller.

Manafort pleaded guilty on Friday to conspiring to defraud the United States and conspiring to obstruct justice, both having to do with dealings in Ukraine that took place years before his involvement with the Trump campaign.

CNN reported Friday that attorney Greg Craig, who was White House counsel from 2009 to 2010, is under scrutiny over whether he lobbied for Ukrainian leaders without registering as a foreign agent.

The investigation also touches on the firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where Craig was a partner at the time.

Craig’s actions were taken after he left the White House, according to the report.

Connections between Manafort, the firm and Craig were revealed in filings in the Manafort case.

Craig’s attorney William Taylor III said his client did nothing wrong.

“Greg Craig was not required to register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act,” Taylor said in a statement, Law.com reported.

Does this show how deep corruption is in Washington?
Yes No
Craig himself would not comment on the investigation.

This is not the first controversial case for Taylor, who represented Fusion GPS, the firm involved in the production of a dossier of discredited claims against Trump.

NBC News reported that Craig was the supervisor of Alex van der Zwaan, a Skadden lawyer who has pleaded guilty to lying to prosecutors and about communications concerning the Ukrainian politician for whom Manafort was also working.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office and Justice Department have not yet decided if they will file charges against either Craig or the law firm, CNN reported.

The law firm was paid more than $4.6 million, which Manafort sought to hide, the court filing said.

Bloomberg reported that the law firm is also facing questions of conflict of interest in the issues surrounding former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko.

Skadden lawyers, which would have included Craig,  may have violated their ethical responsibilities through their actions, said Rebecca Roiphe, who provides instruction on legal ethics at New York Law School.

“Skadden could face some problems with disciplinary authorities in D.C., assuming this is as bad and as baseless as described,” she said.

New York Times Spreads Fake News About Nikki Haley’s $52,701 Curtains
NEW YORK, NY - JANUARY 02: U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley speaks during a brief press availability at United Nations headquarters, January 2, 2018 in New York City. She discussed protests in Iran and the North Korea nuclear threat. (Photo by Drew Angerer/Getty Images)
https://www.breitbart.com/big-journalism/2018/09/14/new-york-times-spreads-fake-news-about-nikki-haleys-52701-curtains/?
14 Sep 20184,572
A New York Times headline attacks UN Ambassador Nikki Haley’s extravagant curtains,  even though the Obama administration ordered them in 2016.
The fake news headline snarks, “Nikki Haley’s View of New York Is Priceless. Her Curtains? $52,701.”
In the first paragraph, the far-left Times goes on to attack Haley and President Trump’s State Department because they “spent $52,701 last year buying customized and mechanized curtains for the picture windows in Nikki R. Haley’s official residence as ambassador to the United Nations, just as the department was undergoing deep budget cuts and had frozen hiring.”
The word “spent” is crucial, however, because after five whole paragraphs describing Haley’s “spectacular views” in her leased $58,000 a month “full-floor penthouse, with handsome hardwood floors covering large open spaces stretching nearly 6,000 square feet,” the Times at long last reveals the truth… …

The Obama administration ordered those $52,701 curtains.
What’s more the Obama administration chose the $58,000 per month penthouse.

Slid quietly into the Times piece is this: “the State Department decided in 2016 to find a new home for its top New York diplomat because of security concerns.”

That of course is TimesSpeak for, “The Obama administration chose these $58,000 a month living quarters for a UN Ambassador they were sure would be working for Hillary Clinton.”

You see, when Obama spends the money it is about “security concerns.”

Nevertheless, the anti-Trump Times twice more dishonestly describes the curtains as “Ms. Haley’s curtains” and goes on to compare them unfavorably to other reports of government excess while lamenting the cutting of State Department staffers — even though the cutting of personnel is the most efficient way to save taxpayer money and is usually where most of the bloat can be found.

Some will argue this is not fake news because the Times does finally report the truth in the sixth paragraph. This defense cannot hold water in a business where everyone knows the headline is the story.

If the Times did not want to make it sound as though Haley is the extravagant one, if the Times wanted to do a story on State Department “extravagance,” it could have done so with an honest headline, as opposed to one deliberately intended to mislead readers.

This is why Americans mistrust the establishment media.

Even though the facts lay every penny of this extravagance on the Obama administration, it is the Trump White House that gets the punished. This is classic bias, classic fake news, and the norm when it comes to Republicans, as opposed to the exception.

UPDATE: The Times was forced to backtrack on its indefensible story and added this editor’s note, but only after the fake news had been up for hours:

Editors’ Note: September 14, 2018

An earlier version of this article and headline created an unfair impression about who was responsible for the purchase in question. While Nikki R. Haley is the current ambassador to the United Nations, the decision on leasing the ambassador’s residence and purchasing the curtains was made during the Obama administration, according to current and former officials. The article should not have focused on Ms. Haley, nor should a picture of her have been used. The article and headline have now been edited to reflect those concerns, and the picture has been removed.

Conway Shames Obama, Uses His Own Words Against Him To Praise Trump’s Economy
BY CILLIAN ZEAL
SEPTEMBER 11, 2018 AT 5:54AM
https://www.westernjournal.com/ct/conway-shames-obama-uses-words-praise-trumps-economy/?utm_source=push&utm_medium=conservativetribune&utm_content=2018-09-11&utm_campaign=manualpost
So, as you no doubt know by now, former President Barack Obama gave a speech on Friday, and everything in Trump’s America is awful, except for the economy.
And you know who’s responsible for that, according to Barack Obama? Barack Obama, of course.
Rather hilariously, he’s about the only Democrat who admits the economy is in good shape these days — something that White House counselor Kellyanne Conway used to troll Obama and his Democrat Party during an appearance on Fox News Monday morning.
During the interview, Conway touted the economy as something that the media doesn’t particularly like addressing.
“You can’t argue with the jobs, the labor, the wage numbers, the explosive deregulation that’s happening, the growth that’s happening,” Conway said. “We were promised a global recession (when Trump was elected). We got prosperity.”

TRENDING: Democratic Socialist Makes It Behind Trump at Rally, Secret Service Intervenes
And then she noted the great irony of it all.
“Hey, by the way, I was so excited this weekend! Did you notice?” Conway said. “We finally found a Democrat who thinks the economy is doing well under President Trump: President Obama.”
Conway thought the one-liner was good enough to put onto Twitter.

After a long period of silence, Barack Obama expressed his exasperation. “When you hear how great the economy’s doing right now, let’s just remember when this recovery started." https://nyti.ms/2QizhOr

And it was a pretty good line, considering how exasperated Obama seemed to be about it at his Friday event:
“I mention this just so when you hear how great the economy is doing right now, let’s just remember when this recovery started,” Obama said after touting his putative economic achievements, according to a transcript of the speech from Vox.

“I’m glad it’s continued, but when you hear about this economic miracle that’s been going on, when the job numbers come out, monthly job numbers and suddenly Republicans are saying it’s a miracle, I have to kind of remind them, actually, those job numbers are the same as they were in 2015 and 2016 and — anyway. I digress.”

Funny, though — he doesn’t seem to have checked with his party’s own messaging, because just a few months ago, everything was a mess.
Do you think the economy’s boom is going to help the GOP in the midterm elections?
Yes No

“May’s jobs report shows that strong employment numbers mean little to the families hit with soaring new costs under the Republicans’ watch,” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said in a statement back in June, warning that “the president’s reckless policies are exploding gas prices, wiping out the few meager gains that some families should have received from the GOP tax scam, as wages remain stagnant.”

And no, the economic numbers weren’t the same back in 2015 and 2016. While the economy was showing an anemic recovery, it still was nothing compared to what we’ve seen in the Trump presidency.

Also, remember that when the economic news wasn’t so rosy in the United States under the Obama administration, and unemployment was headed upward, it was all the fault of the Bush administration.

Now that the long, slow bounce of the dead cat is gone and the pace of economic growth is finally accelerating and hitting pre-recession levels, do you know who’s responsible? Barack Obama.

However, everything else Obama doesn’t like — particularly racial division and political incivility — remains the fault of Donald J. Trump.

Fox News host diagnoses Barack Obama with ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’

Fox News host Pete Hegseth believes he’s figured out what is wrong with former President Barack Obama.

During a Fox & Friends segment, Hegseth stated: “I am not a doctor … but Obama has Trump Derangement Syndrome.”
Divisive Speech
WATCH https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-8EQ37fl10&ab_channel=FoxandFriends

While constantly giving divisive speeches, Obama is — oddly enough — calling for unity in America.

With the rhetoric that spews from his mouth on a daily basis, there is simply no way any conservative — Trump supporter or not — could get behind him in support of a Democrat candidate.

As Hegseth pointed out, Obama does not even have the courtesy to address Trump as the president.

Failed Legacy
The fact is, Obama is upset because Trump is undoing what little legacy Obama had while president.

That legacy is being undone because most Americans were unhappy with those policies.

Obama continues to tout the good old days, as though his time in the White House was good for the country.

What we really saw was the country teetering dangerously close to socialism — but President Trump put the brakes on that from his very first day in office.

Democrats are still working off the same agenda they were in 2016, only now they have added Trump impeachment to it.

People are starting to realize the most important items on that agenda — including impeaching Trump, rolling back his tax cuts, and opening up borders limitlessly — don’t actually do anything for the average American.

What exactly is the benefit for an American citizen if they vote for Democrats?

Does Obama Have Trump Derangement Syndrome?
Yes
No
The fact is: the only people truly being moved by this agenda are young bleeding hearts that are still tapping Mommy and Daddy’s bank account to pay their bills.
Keep talking Obama, because every word out of your mouth is driving thousands of voters over to the Republican side of the ticket.

During his speech at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign on Friday,  in which he reportedly referred to himself 102 times, former President Barack Obama attempted to lob a grenade at President Donald Trump regarding a free press.
Too bad for him it blew up in his hand.

But that was not all. It went on to add that “Aggressive prosecution of leakers of classified information and broad electronic surveillance programs deter government sources from speaking to journalists.”
The biggest difference between the Obama and Trump administration’ when it comes to the media is the attitude of the media toward the man in the Oval Office.
Trump criticizes the “fake news” media, but it was Obama’s administration that took real, serious steps against reporters who turned up stories the administration didn’t like.
Judging by the reaction to Obama’s speech on Friday, a lot of people haven’t forgtotten it.

Former President Barack Obama broke his promise to stay quiet after leaving office, condemning the path of the United States under President Donald Trump.

“Just a glance at recent headlines should tell you that this moment really is different. The stakes really are higher. The consequences of any of us sitting on the sidelines are more dire,” he said on Friday.

Obama acknowledged that he wished to address the country as a “fellow citizen” not an “ex-president” but said that the moment was too great to remain silent.

The former president addressed students at the University of Illinois, criticizing everything about Trump’s presidency, calling it a “dark” period of American history.

He reminded them that periods of progress in American were frequently followed by periods of resistance to change, especially from leaders who fanned the flames of resentment.

“It did not start with Donald Trump. He is a symptom, not the cause,” Obama said. “He’s just capitalizing on resentments that politicians have been fanning for years.”
He pointed to the rise of white-nationalism and racial division and condemned Republicans for stoking resentment to remain in power.

“Over the past few decades, the politics of division, of resentment and paranoia has unfortunately found a home in the Republican Party,” Obama said.

He implied that his presidency was a period of progress, that was followed by Trump.

“There’s always been another darker aspect to America’s story,” he explained. “Progress doesn’t just move in a straight line. There’s a reason why progress hasn’t been easy and why throughout our history every two steps forward seems to sometimes produce one step back.”

He scolded Republicans for allowing conspiracy theories to rage about Benghazi and his birth certificate and implied that Trump and the Republicans were dependent on the darker side of human nature.

“They start undermining norms that ensure accountability, try to change the rules to entrench their power further. And they appeal to racial nationalism that’s barely veiled, if veiled at all,” he said.

Obama referred to Trump as a “bully” who deserved to be rejected by the American people.

“We are Americans. We’re supposed to stand up to bullies. Not follow them. We’re supposed to stand up to discrimination. And we’re sure as heck supposed to stand up, clearly and unequivocally, to Nazi sympathizers,” he said.

Republicans, he said, were appealing to “tribe” by trying to divide people by race and gender.

“None of this is conservative,” Obama said. “It’s not conservative. It sure isn’t normal. It’s radical.”

He also blasted Republicans for “cozying up to the KGB” by working with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“What happened!?” he said, pointing out that the Republicans used to hate communism.

He put the moment in the context of history, noting that the United States survived the tumultuous times of the Industrial Revolution, two world wars, the Cold War with Russia.

He reminded students that American leaders were “not perfect” but that progress was made.

“That progress wasn’t achieved just by a handful of leaders making speeches,” Obama said, urging all of the students present to perform heroic acts of progress to make history.

Despite the dark tone of his speech, Obama urged his supporters to stay positive.

“Fortunately I am hopeful because out of this political darkness I am seeing a great awakening of citizenship all across the country,” he said.
He encouraged his followers not to depend on charismatic leaders to urge them forward, perhaps hinting at the failure of failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in 2016.

“You can’t opt out because you don’t feel sufficiently inspired by this or that particular candidate,” he said. “This is not a rock concert, this is not Coachella. You don’t need a messiah. All we need are decent, honest, hardworking people who are accountable.”

Obama Complains Trump Getting Credit for ‘Economic Miracle’

Former President Barack Obama appeared upset on Friday that President Donald Trump was getting credit for the booming economy.
The former president made his remarks at the University of Illinois after the United States economy posted more positive news; over 200,000 jobs created and a 3.9 percent unemployment rate in August.

Obama reminded students that they were probably too young to remember how the economy was on the brink of depression when he took office.

“When you hear how great the economy is doing right now, let’s just remember when this recovery started,” he said.

“When you hear about this economic miracle that’s been going on… when the job numbers come out … suddenly Republicans are saying, ‘It’s a miracle,'” he said. “I have to kind of remind them, actually those job numbers are the same as they were in 2015 and 2016.”

Obama Slams Trump: How Hard Can It Be to Say 'Nazis Are Bad'?
Former president criticizes successor's response to violence at white nationalist rally, saying Americans are 'supposed to stand up to discrimination'

Former President Barack Obama issued a scorching critique of his successor Friday, blasting President Donald Trump’s response to far-right violence, his pattern of pressuring the Justice Department, his policies and reminding voters that the economic recovery — one of Trump’s favorite talking points — began on his watch.
Obama criticized Trump’s response to the violence last year at a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, that resulted in the death of one person.

“We’re supposed to stand up to discrimination,” Obama said. “And we’re sure as heck supposed to stand up clearly and unequivocally to Nazi sympathizers. How hard can that be, saying that Nazis are bad?”

Obama’s speech at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign was delivered less than two months before midterm elections that could determine the course of Trump’s presidency. The remarks amounted to a stinging indictment of political life in the Trump era.

>> Meet the bigots running in the U.S. midterms (and one of them is Jewish) ■ Why 'Unite the Right' rally was a pathetic flop – and why that shouldn't matter | Analysis

“It did not start with Donald Trump,” Obama said. “He is a symptom, not the cause. He’s just capitalizing on resentments that politicians have been fanning for years.”

Noting the history of former presidents avoiding the rough and tumble of politics, Obama acknowledged his sharp critique of Trump was something of a departure from tradition. But he said the political moment required a pushback and called for better discourse.

“Appealing to tribe, appealing to fear, pitting one group against another, telling people that order and security will be restored if it weren’t for those who don’t look like us or don’t sound like us or don’t pray like we do — that’s an old playbook,” he said. “It’s as old as time. And in a healthy democracy, it doesn’t work. Our antibodies kick in and people of good will from across the political spectrum call out the bigots and the fear-mongers and work to compromise and get things done and promote the better angels of our nation.”

But, Obama added, when there is a vacuum in democracy, “other voices fill the void. A politics of fear and resentment and retrenchment takes hold.”

Obama called Trump “the symptom, not the cause” of division and polarization in the U.S.

Trump, meanwhile, claims he fell asleep watching Obama’s speech. “I’m sorry, I watched it, but I fell asleep,” Trump said at a campaign appearance in Fargo, North Dakota. “I found he’s very good for sleeping.”

Trump said Obama was trying to take credit for this “incredible thing that’s happening to our country.”

Even as he has largely remained out of the spotlight, Obama made clear he’s paid close attention to the steady stream of headlines chronicling the Trump administration and said the news is a reminder of what’s at stake in the November midterm elections.

“Just a glance at recent headlines should tell you this moment really is different,” Obama said. “The stakes really are higher. The consequences of any of us sitting on the sidelines are more dire.” He later added: “This is not normal.”

He was especially stern in his condemnation of Trump’s pattern of pressuring law enforcement officials, including Attorney General Jeff Sessions. The president has repeatedly called on Sessions to fire special counsel Robert Mueller and earlier this week blamed the Justice Department for indicting two incumbent Republican members of Congress, arguing the moves could jeopardize their seats.

“It should not be a partisan issue to say that we do not pressure the attorney general or the FBI to use the criminal justice system as a cudgel to punish our political opponents,” Obama said. “Or to explicitly call on the attorney general to protect members of our own party from prosecution because an election happens to be coming up. I’m not making that up. that’s not hypothetical.

As Obama spoke, Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One that he believed Sessions should investigate the identity of the author of an anonymous New York Times opinion piece that was sharply critical of his leadership, saying the essay a “national security issue.”

Obama, reacting to the op-ed account, said “that’s not how our democracy is supposed to work.”

“The claim that everything will turn out OK because there are people inside the White House who secretly aren’t following the president’s orders, that is not a check,” Obama said. “I’m being serious here. That’s not how our democracy is supposed to work. These people aren’t elected. They’re not accountable.”

Obama also jabbed Trump on the issue the current president frequently heralds as one of his greatest achievements: The strong economy. Obama reminded the audience that the economic recovery began during his administration and defended his handling of the 2008 economic collapse.

“When you hear how great the economy’s doing right now, let’s just remember when this recovery started,” he said.

The speech was a preview of the argument that Obama is likely to make throughout the fall. On Saturday, the former president will stump for House Democratic candidates from California at an event in Orange County, a conservative-leaning part of California where Republicans are at risk of losing several congressional seats.

Next week, Obama plans to campaign in Ohio for Richard Cordray, the Democratic nominee for governor, and Ohio Democrats.

Obama’s campaign activity will continue through October and will include fundraising appearances, according to an Obama adviser. The adviser was not authorized to discuss Obama’s thinking publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity. While the former president will be visible throughout the general election, the adviser said that Obama will not be a daily presence on the campaign trail.

Republicans said voters won’t find Obama’s argument appealing.

“In 2016, voters rejected President Obama’s policies and his dismissiveness towards half the country,” Republican National Committee spokesman Michael Ahrens said in response to the Friday speech. “Doubling down on that strategy won’t work in 2018 either.”
Meanwhile, Michelle Obama is also stepping up her political involvement ahead of the November midterm election. She will headline voter registration rallies in Las Vegas and Miami later in September as part of a week of action by When We All Vote, the new nonpartisan organization that she co-chairs.

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel will not run for reelection

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel stunned his supporters on Tuesday.

The oft-criticized mayor of Chicago announced he will NOT be running for re-election.

Good Riddance
Rahm Emanuel has been an absolute disaster for the city of Chicago.

It seems as though the city is in the headlines nearly every day for massive gun violence.

Keep in mind, this is a state with strict gun control laws, something the Dems claim will fix everything.

Emanuel has failed to deliver on any of the promises he made to Chicagoans.

In addition to reducing crime and gun violence, he was supposed to have improved its failing school system.

That has also been an epic failure.
False Praise
After the announcement, some very high-profile Dems heaped praise on the failed mayor.

Included in that group was none other than former president Barack Obama.

Obama touted Emanuel’s record on education, even though as we said, the numbers tell a different story.

Obama stated, “Chicago is better and stronger for his leadership, and I was a better President for his wise counsel at a particularly perilous time for our country.”

It would be nice for Obama to actually clarify just how Chicago is “better and stronger.”

Present and Future
The criticism brought on by the violence in Chicago has brought an onslaught of challengers wanting Emanuel’s seat.

Even though he has already raised a reported $10 million for his re-election, Emanuel apparently saw the writing on the wall.

Now that he is officially not running for office, could Emanuel be making plans for a higher office?

Do You Think Emanuel Will Run for President?
Yes
No
After all, Dems have been tossing his name around for the last two years as a possible candidate for the 2020 election.

Seeing what he did in Chicago, imagine how disastrous it would be if he got his hands on the entire country!

Libs Use Cohen to Push Guilt by Association, But Forget 5 Obama Pals Who Were 10x Worse
BY LISA PAYNE-NAEGER
AUGUST 22, 2018 AT 2:37PM
https://www.westernjournal.com/ct/guilt-association-obama-guys-worse/?
VIDEO 2.27mins
It didn’t take long for liberal spin to conjure up the specter of guilt by association as the media  tried to build a case for impeachment of President Donald Trump due to the latest developments in the Michael Cohen and Paul Manafort cases.

On Tuesday Michael Cohen, the president’s former attorney, pleaded guilty to eight charges of felony fraud and campaign finance law violations. In doing so, he also implicated the president, who he claims directed him to pay off porn star Stormy Daniels as well as a former Playboy model to buy their silence for alleged sexual encounters.

That alone would have made liberals happy. But the anti-Trump crowd was also crowing that former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort was convicted on the same day of eight charges of tax and bank fraud brought by special counsel Robert Mueller as part of his investigation of alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

A lot of nonsense takes place on social media, but sometimes bits of wisdom shine through. These particular comments put the spotlight on liberal hypocrisy that has no problem with smearing Trump with guilt by association, but was mysteriously blind when it came to former President Barack Obama.

Liberal memories are short when it comes to liberal sins, but author and conservative Twitter user Thomas Wictor reminds us all that guilt by association was — or should have been — a much bigger issue in the Obama administration.

He listed at least five egregious instances where guilt by association could be argued in relation to Barack Obama, and he starts with Obama associate Tony Rezko.
“(3) Obama fundraiser and member of his U.S. Senate campaign finance committee Tony Rezko. Sentenced to over ten years for public and private corruption. Served four.”

“(4) Obama fundraiser Courtney Dupree. Convicted of bank fraud.”

“(6) Rod Blagojevich, Illinois governor. Doing 14 years in the federal pen for trying to sell Obama’s vacated seat.”

(8) So far it looks like Obama has an insurmountable lead...
9:36 AM - Aug 22, 2018
To be fair, longtime Barack Obama buddy Bill Ayers was never implicated in murder during his spree as a bomber for the domestic terrorist group the Weather Underground.

RELATED: Media Celebrate Trump Mishandling $280k. Forget Obama Mishandled $88 Million.

It’s also worth pointing out that Ayers’ girlfriend at the time, Diana Oughton, died in 1970 when a nail bomb she was helping to build exploded in a house in Grennwich Village. A Vanity Fair article from 2015 claims Ayers and his Weather Underground terrorists never intended to hurt people, but it’s safe to wonder if they were worried about who would be on the receiving end of those nails flying through the air with deadly, explosive force.

The Daily Caller points out some clarifying factors on the the guilt-by-association accusations against Trump.

In the Manafort case, even though Manafort spent a short time with the Trump campaign to work specifically on the Republican National Convention, the media will fail to mention he was “fired over questions of his work as a lobbyist for foreign governments years earlier,” and all charges were related to actions of Manafort long before he ever joined Trump’s presidential run.

As The Daily Caller put it: “It’s guilt by association coupled with omission of relevant facts to paint the president as somehow associated with a guilty person’s actions.”

As far as Cohen is concerned, and as conservative radio host Mark Levin has pointed out, the charges of payoffs to two women for alleged sexual encounters are still not proven to be illegal. It is not not illegal for to pay for non-disclosure agreements in politics or any other sphere of the law.

Liberals have once again cast stones from their own glass houses. They should really think twice before they invent false scenarios.

Some sharp-minded Twitter members might just throw a litany of facts on their feed that blow their latest spin out of the water.

The Comical Conservative
July 26, 2013 ·
President Obama walks into a local bank in Chicago to cash a check. He is surrounded by Secret Service agents. As he approaches the cashier he says, "Good morning Ma'am, could you please cash this check for me?"

Cashier:
"It would be my pleasure sir. Could you please show me your ID?"

Obama:
"Truthfully, I did not bring my ID with me as I didn't think there was any need to. I am President Barack Obama, the President of the United States of AMERICA !!!!"

Cashier:
"Yes sir, I know who you are, but with all the regulations and monitoring of the banks because of 9/11, impostors, forgers, money laundering, and bad mortgage underwriting not to mention requirements of the Dodd/Frank legislation, etc., I must insist on seeing ID."

Obama:
“Just ask anyone here at the bank who I am and they will tell you. Everybody knows who I am."

Cashier:
"I am sorry Mr. President but these are the bank rules and I must follow them."

Obama:
"I am urging you, please, to cash this check. I need to buy a gift for Michelle for Valentine’s Day"

Cashier:
"Look Mr. President, here is an example of what we can do. One day, Tiger Woods came into one of our bank branches without ID. To prove he was Tiger Woods he pulled out his putter and made a beautiful shot across the bank into a coffee cup. With that shot we knew him to be Tiger Woods and cashed his check.”
“Another time, Andre Agassi came into the same place without ID. He pulled out his tennis racquet and made a fabulous shot where as the tennis ball landed in a coffee cup. With that shot we cashed his check.
So, Mr. President, what can you do to prove that it is you, and only you, as the President of the United States?"

Obama:
Obama stands there thinking, and thinking, and finally says, "Honestly, my mind is a total blank...there is nothing that comes to my mind. I can't think of a single thing. I have absolutely no idea what to do and I don’t have a clue.”
Cashier:
"Will that be large or small bills, Mr. President?

Former President Barack Obama spoke in Johannesburg, South Africa, earlier this summer to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Nelson Mandela, the country’s most famous political icon. But instead of simply memorializing Mandela’s humanitarian work, Obama didn’t hesitate to praise South African President Cyril Ramaphosa for “inspiring new hope” in South Africa.

This praise comes after Ramaphosa declared in December that he would soon allow the “expropriation of land without compensation,” particularly from white farmers, apparently as retribution for South Africa’s apartheid era that ended nearly a quarter of a century ago. And now that the government is in the process of amending their constitution to formally legalize the expropriation process, Obama’s praise for the South African president is looking especially shameful.

Obama “inspired” by government-sponsored persecution?
Concern over Obama’s July comments first came from Tucker Carlson, who condemned the former president’s speech on his self-titled Fox News program shortly after Obama spoke in Johannesburg. “Ramaphosa recently declared that he would change the South African constitution,” Carlson said, “and he’ll do it for the explicit purpose of persecuting a racial minority, seizing their land without compensation, not because they committed any specific crime, but because they are the wrong color…purely on racial grounds.” Watch below:

Obama had said on July 17 that Ramaphosa “is inspiring new hope in this great country” — but Carlson didn’t find Ramaphosa’s actions to be “inspiring.”

That opinion likely hasn’t changed, as the ruling party, the African National Congress, has now moved to “finalize the proposed amendment to the constitution that outlines more clearly the conditions under which expropriation of land without compensation can be effected,” Ramaphosa announced last week.

“It has become pertinently clear that our people want the constitution to be more explicit about expropriation of land without compensation as demonstrated in the public hearings,” the South African president explained.

Ramaphosa went on to explain that “the intention of this proposed amendment is to promote redress, advance economic development, [and] increase agricultural production and food security.”

White South Africans flee the country in fear
In reality, the amendment would do little more than provide cover for an explicitly racist policy that seeks to reverse the effects of the nation’s apartheid era — during which whites owned most of the nation’s land and blacks owned very little — by expropriating land from white landowners and redistributing it among black citizens.

As noted by RT, “There have been growing fears that the planned expropriation will deal a blow to commercial farming in the country and might put it on the verge of a food production crisis.”

Experts are concerned that the new farmers who take over the land expropriated by the government will have little experience in agriculture, an issue that could push the already-impoverished country into total starvation. Such a scenario occurred in neighboring Zimbabwe after the agricultural land was redistributed in 2000 — food production dropped as experienced farmers left.

Additionally, Ramaphosa’s land redistribution strategy has the country’s white population, which makes up about nine percent of the citizenry, concerned not just over the loss of land, but also about “what they say is a surge in violence and government-fueled hostility against them,” according to RT, who reported that some of the country’s whites have even sought asylum abroad.

“Thanks to policies like this,” Carlson said in July, “many South Africans have already been murdered in race killings and many more are fleeing the country for their lives.”

Do you oppose South Africa's racist expropriation of land from white farmers as a form of "redress"?
Yes

The future of South Africa rests in racist hands
Meanwhile, Ramaphosa has maintained that he simply wants “dialog[ue], discussion, [and] engagement until we find good solutions that take our country forward.” He added in March that “there is no reason for anyone of us to panic and start beating war drums.”

But if there was ever a time to panic, it would be now. The South African government has prioritized explicitly racial policies over the wellbeing of its people in order to “promote redress” for racial policies of decades ago.

Even more horrifying: that sentiment is apparently “inspiring” former President Barack Obama. What a shame.

President Barack Obama announced an endorsement list of 81 Democrats for the Congressional midterm elections and even some candidates for Governor and state-level races.
But he did not signal support for rising Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who surprised the political establishment by defeating prominent Congressman Joe Crowley in New York.
Obama also did not weigh in on the New York race for Governor as Governor Andrew Cuomo faces a challenge from actress Cynthia Nixon. He also did not endorse Rep. Beto O’Rourke who is challenging Sen. Ted Cruz in Texas.
Establishment Senate Democrats seeking re-election were also snubbed by Obama, including Senators facing tough races such as Bill Nelson, Joe Manchin, Joe Donnelly, Jon Tester, and Claire McCaskill.
“I’m proud to endorse such a wide and impressive array of Democratic candidates – leaders as diverse, patriotic, and big-hearted as the America they’re running to represent,” Obama said in a statement sent to reporters.
The statement said that Obama’s list was a “first round” of Democratic candidates and that he was prioritizing control of the House of Representatives.
Obama plans to campaign in several states this fall and will release a second round of endorsements before the election.

VIDEO: Obama slams ‘right-wing billionaires,’ touts push for ‘universal income’

As the most reliable and balanced news aggregation service on the internet, DML News offers the following information published by FOXNEWS.COM:
Former President Barack Obama, in a rare post-presidency speech abroad, took several thinly veiled shots at his successor and other populist “right-wing billionaires” — while openly touting a controversial liberal push for “universal income.”
In one of his biggest speeches since leaving the White House, Obama delivered the 2018 Nelson Mandela Annual Lecture in Johannesburg, South Africa on Tuesday. He used the platform to rail against populist movements, which have gained strength in the U.S. and Europe.
The article goes on to state the following:
Obama went on to slam the “right-wing billionaires” leading populist movements, in a clear reference to President Trump and like-minded politicians in Europe.
“Populist movements, cynically funded by right-wing billionaires worried about their own interests,” Obama said. “These movements tapped the unease that was felt by so many people who live outside of urban course. That their social status and privileges were eroding … threatened by outsiders, those who don’t look like them or sound like them.”
The report also stated:
Obama, meanwhile, on Tuesday seemed to embrace some talking points of the resurgent progressive left — including opening the door to proposals for a guaranteed income. One such proposal is being considered in Chicago.

CONFIRMED: Barack Obama was running the entire spygate operation that violated federal law to spy on Trump campaign officials
July 17, 2018
Image: CONFIRMED: Barack Obama was running the entire spygate operation that violated federal law to spy on Trump campaign officials
(Natural News) In recent months, democrats have laughed in the face of everyone that has even considered the possibility that Barack Obama was involved in the counterintelligence investigation into the Trump campaign. Now, it appears as though conservatives will have the last laugh after all.

After an in-depth analysis of text messages sent between FBI agent Peter Strzok and former FBI lawyer Lisa Page around the time the investigation into Trump’s campaign began, National Review’s Andrew McCarthy discovered that the Department of Justice had redacted bits of information that were damning for Barack Obama and his administration.

Damning evidence
One of the most revealing text messages that McCarthy highlighted came from Strzok, which appeared to indicate that, contrary to what liberals have been saying for months now, the Obama White House was involved in the entire anti-Trump operation. (Related: A deep state leak to the New York Times reveals that the Obama regime spied on the Trump campaign without evidence of any crime.)

The message, which related to a high-level meeting with CIA officials on August 5, 2016, read: “And hi. Went well, best we could have expected. Other than (REDACTED) quote: ‘the White House is running this.’ My answer, ‘well, maybe for you they are.’ And of course, I was planning on telling this guy, thanks for coming, we’ve got an hour, but with Bill (Priestap) there, I‘ve got no control.”

Bill Priestap was the assistant director of counterintelligence and Strzok’s immediate superior at the FBI.

In response to Strzok’s text message, Lisa Page replied: “Yeah, whatever (re the WH comment). We’ve got the emails that say otherwise.”
Based on this short conversation between Strzok and Page, it sure seems as though what conservatives have been saying for months now is true after all – that the Obama White House did, in fact, play a role in the counterintelligence investigation into the Trump campaign.

Still, though, there are two important questions that need to be answered: First, who was the redacted official who stated that the “White House is running this” regarding the investigation? And second, what is the content of the emails referenced by Lisa page “that say otherwise”?

In order to provide context to what already appears to be damning evidence against the Obama administration, these questions need to be answered sooner rather than later. (Related: Obama’s spying on the Trump campaign included the use of secret national security letters reserved for the most serious threats.)

One thing that we know for sure is that Obama’s spying on Trump’s team is turning out to be a much bigger and more significant scandal than the so-called “Russia collusion” narrative ever was. In fact, just this past weekend, Michael Barone of the New York Postmade the argument that Obama’s spying scandal has reached a point where it is now starting to resemble Watergate.

“The crime at the root of Watergate was an attempt at surveillance of the DNC after George McGovern seemed about to win the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination, just as the government misconduct in Russiagate was an attempt at surveillance of the Republican Party’s national campaign after Trump clinched its nomination,” Barone wrote.

Indeed, the Left’s behind-the-scenes efforts to tear down President Trump without any significant evidence of any wrongdoing whatsoever is quickly turning into one of the most serious scandals in recent history. Highly unethical and potentially illegal acts were seemingly committed, and now the liberals are desperately trying to cover their tracks through lies and the perpetuation of misinformation.

Sadly, however, it’s far from guaranteed that anybody will be held accountable. If history has taught us anything, it’s that liberals have a knack for avoiding legal consequences after committing crimes, even though they belong behind bars. Only time will tell if the United States justice system will prevail.
