RUMORS OF WAR: Hezbollah Chief Claims Terrorist Group Stronger than IDF, Ready for War With Israel!
Aug 15, 2018 | 0  |
RUMORS OF WAR: Hezbollah Chief Claims Terrorist Group Stronger than IDF, Ready for War With Israel!
In a televised address marking the 12th anniversary of the end of the 34-day Second Lebanon War with Israel in 2006, Hezbollah general secretary Hassan Nasrallah boasted that his forces were stronger than the Israeli army and prepared for a fresh war with Israel. Nasrallah claimed that the Trump administration was “mistaken” in thinking sanctions would lead to riots in Iran that would topple the regime, or even force Iran to reduce support for activity abroad.
Last week the US began restoring sanctions that had been lifted under the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran, which President Donald Trump withdrew from in May. The administration says the renewed sanctions are meant to pressure Tehran to halt its support for international terrorism, its military activity in the Middle East and its ballistic missile programs.

China Folds to Trump’s Pressure, Quietly Removes Oil Tariff
BY CILLIAN ZEAL
AUGUST 11, 2018 AT 8:12AM
Share on Facebook Tweet Email Print
China has removed crude oil from its list of items being slapped with a 25 percent tariff, The Wall Street Journal reported Friday.
It seems unusual for those used to America being an energy importer to hear about energy exports, particularly to a country as big as China. However, America’s role in petroleum production has steadily increased for quite some time now, meaning industry in China was about to feel a serious pinch.
“Over the past two years China has become the biggest buyer of U.S. crude-oil exports, last year taking a fifth of the total,” Chuin-Wei Yap wrote in the Journal.
Advertisement - story continues below
Beijing had originally announced that oil was going to be on the list of items slapped with a 25 percent tariff issued in response to the Trump administration’s tariffs.
However, when the final list of $16 billion in tariffed goods was issued on Wednesday, oil was conspicuously absent.

“China’s Ministry of Commerce didn’t explain the omission and didn’t immediately respond to questions,” Yap reported.
China still called the measures “unreasonable” and said they had taken the measures “to safeguard its legitimate rights and interests and the multilateral trading system.” However, the measure seemed to be more about safeguarding the interests of Sinopec Group, the state-owned Beijing-based energy giant.
“Sinopec did a lot of lobbying work with the government,” an individual with knowledge of the situation told Reuters. They said the petroleum manufacturer used its clout to move the decision of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Commerce.
“The U.S. will be the single largest source of new oil supplies outside OPEC. It’s in China’s interest to diversify supplies,” another source told Reuters.

“Removing crude imports, worth roughly $8 billion annually based on Sinopec’s earlier forecast of 300,000 barrels per day (bpd) for 2018, also gives Beijing room to maneuver in future negotiations with Washington, especially as it may soon lose some Iranian oil shipments due to reimposed U.S. sanctions,” Reuters noted.
And that could mean big things in the trade war.
“The issue for the Chinese is that any tariff on U.S. exports, (including) oil, will likely hurt their economy disproportionately because they have to import,” Kenneth Medlock, senior director of the Center for Energy Studies at Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy, told Reuters.
“U.S. exports will find a home regardless of how the global supply deck is reshuffled.”
Even though oil won’t be on the list when the new tariffs go into effect on August 23, diesel, kerosene, lubricants and propane will be included.
RELATED: Liberals’ Obsession with Foreign Labor Used as Bargaining Chip by China
However, this is a pretty major blink from China — and a huge win from the Trump administration.
If Beijing’s need for oil brings them to the table, that’s yet another bargaining chip the United States can use to get a more sane trade policy

RUMORS OF WAR: Israel And Hamas Are On The Verge Of War As More Than 150 Rockets Rain Down On The Holy Land Overnight

RUMORS OF WAR: Israel And Hamas Are On The Verge Of War As More Than 150 Rockets Rain Down On The Holy Land Overnight
(By Michael Snyder) This is the closest that Israel and Hamas have been to war since the last major conflict in 2014. There had been ongoing negotiations regarding a long-term ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, but those plans appear to be on hold after a huge escalation of the violence in the last 24 hours. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gathered with his defense minister and other top military officials late last night, and at this hour it is unclear what will happen next.
If Hamas stops firing rockets, perhaps ceasefire negotiations can resume. But if they keep firing rockets, it could lead to all-out war and all hell could break loose in the Middle East. From Wednesday night through Thursday morning, more than 150 “projectiles” were fired into Israel by members of Hamas. The following comes from the Jerusalem Post… Red Alert sirens continued to sound in the South throughout the night, with the latest salvo fired at 05:45 am Thursday morning.

Iran’s plan that puts the entire West in danger
By Leah Rosenberg - August 7, 2018 7955 0
VIDEO
The Iranian regime wants to destroy Israel. But will they stop there? Their future plans put the entire West in danger, and they must be stopped!

Iranian Regime Calls to Destroy Israel
Iran has been seeking Israel’s destruction for decades. They constantly threaten Israel. Hossein Salami, deputy commander of the IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps) said, “We have 100,000 missiles in Lebanon ready to hit Israel.” The Iranian regime spends billions of dollars on war and nuclear weapons. Their entire being represents destruction. Will the UN do anything about that? The international world needs to speak out.

Israel wants peace. Iran wants to destroy. It’s that clear.

Iran Blames Israel for Everything
Not only does the Iranian regime seek to destroy Israel, but they also blame Israel for anything they can, even if it is ridiculous. For example, they blamed Israel for their drought. Apparently, Israel has control over the weather in Iran. That is beyond absurd! But for the Iranian regime, nothing, or rather everything, is absurd. Furthermore, Iranian leaders don’t take control over their own country and the needs of their people. They just blame others. They also spend money that could be used toward helping their people and instead use it for terrorism.

Who Will be Next?
The frightening reality is that Iran is not only threatening Israel. They want to destroy the West. Anyone who is against their terrorist regime is a target. Hossein Salami said, “If Europe wants to turn into a threat, we will increase the range of our missiles.” Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari said, “Iran’s 2,000-kilometer missile range could cover most of American interest.”

It is clear that the Iranian regime’s goal of destruction extends far beyond just Israel. Iran is certainly not hiding what their future plans are.

And they must be stopped!

The so-called snapback sanctions target Iran's purchases of U.S. dollars, metals trading and other dealings, coal, industrial-related software and its auto sector.

The officials added that Trump was ready to meet with Iran's leaders at any time in an effort to forge a new agreement with Tehran after President Donald Trump withdrew from a 2015 nuclear deal in May.
"There is no question that these financial sanctions are going to continue to bring significant financial pressure," one official told reporters on a conference call.

Washington brought back some of the measures against Iran that it suspended under the 2015 deal between world powers and Tehran under which international sanctions were lifted in return for curbs on Iran's nuclear program.

Some of the sanctions came back on Tuesday at 12:01 a.m. EDT (0401 GMT). The United States also plans to re-introduce potentially more damaging sanctions on Iranian oil in November.

The renewed sanctions are part of the broader strategy under Trump aimed at cutting off the Iranian leadership's access to resources.

They are aimed at modifying Iran's behavior not bring about a "regime change" targeting President Hassan Rouhani, the officials added.

The officials said the Iranian government's handling of current social and labor protests in were concerning.

"We are deeply concerned about reports of Iranian regime’s violence against unarmed citizens," one official said. "The United States supports the Iranian people’s right to peacefully protest against corruption and oppression without fear of reprisal," the official added.

Trump "will meet with the Iranian leadership at any time to discuss a real comprehensive deal that will contain their regional ambitions, will end their malign behavior and deny them any path to a nuclear weapon," one official said.

Asked about any possible exemptions to the renewed sanctions, officials said they would examine any requests on a case-by-case basis.

U.S. Bracing for Cyberattack From Iran in Response to Trump's Renewed Sanctions

U.S. official: Trump's peace plan will cause discomfort to both Israel and Palestinians

The U.S. is bracing for cyberattacks Iran could launch in retaliation for the re-imposition of sanctions this week by U.S. President Donald Trump, cybersecurity and intelligence experts say.

Concern over that cyber threat has been rising since May, when Trump pulled out of the 2015 nuclear deal, under which the U.S. and other world powers eased economic sanctions in exchange for curbs on Iran’s nuclear program. The experts say the threat would intensify following Washington’s move Tuesday to re-impose economic restrictions on Tehran.

“While we have no specific threats, we have seen an increase in chatter related to Iranian threat activity over the past several weeks,” said Priscilla Moriuchi, director of strategic threat development at Recorded Future, a global real-time cyber threat intelligence company. The Massachusetts-based company predicted back in May that the U.S. withdrawal from the nuclear agreement would provoke a cyber response from the Iranian government within two to four months.

U.S. intelligence agencies have singled out Iran as one of the main foreign cyber threats facing America, along with Russia, China and North Korea. A wave of attacks that U.S. authorities blamed on Iran between 2012 and 2014 targeted banks and caused tens of millions of dollars in damage. They also targeted but failed to penetrate critical infrastructure.

Iran denies using its cyber capabilities for offensive purposes, and accuses the U.S. of targeting Iran. Several years ago, the top-secret Stuxnet computer virus destroyed centrifuges involved in Iran’s contested nuclear program. Stuxnet, which is widely believed to be an American and Israeli creation, caused thousands of centrifuges at Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility to spin themselves to destruction at the height of the West’s fears over Iran’s program.

“The United States has been the most aggressive country in the world in offensive cyber activity and publicly boasted about attacking targets across the world,” said Alireza Miryousefi, spokesman for Iran’s diplomatic mission at the United Nations, contending that Iran’s cyber capabilities are “exclusively for defensive purposes.”

Gen. Qassem Soleimani, who heads the elite Quds Force of Iran’s hard-line paramilitary Revolutionary Guard, has sounded more ominous, warning late last month about Iran’s capabilities in “asymmetric war,” a veiled reference to nontraditional warfare that could include cyber attacks.

The Trump administration says it re-imposed sanctions on Iran to prevent its aggression — denying it the funds it needs to finance terrorism, its missile program and forces in conflicts in Yemen and Syria.

The sanctions restarted Tuesday target U.S. dollar financial transactions, Iran’s automotive sector and the purchase of commercial planes and metals, including gold. Even stronger sanctions targeting Iran’s oil sector and central bank are to be re-imposed in early November. European leaders have expressed deep regret about the U.S. actions. They hit Iran at a time when its unemployment is rising, the country’s currency has collapsed and demonstrators are taking to the streets to protest social issues and labor unrest.

Norm Roule, former Iran manager for the office of the Director of National Intelligence, said he thinks Tehran will muster its cyber forces in response.

“I think there is a good chance Iran will use cyber, probably not an attack that is so destructive that it would fragment its remaining relationship with Europe, but I just don’t think the Iranians will think there is much cost to doing this,” Roule said. “And it’s a good way to show their capacity to inflict economic cost against the United States.”

“Iran’s cyber activities against the world have been the most consequential, costly and aggressive in the history of the internet, more so than Russia. ... The Iranians are destructive cyber operators,” Roule said, adding that Iranian hackers have, at times, impersonated Israeli and Western cyber security firm websites to harvest log-in information.

The office of Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats declined to comment Tuesday on the likelihood that Iran will answer the sanctions with cyber operations against the U.S. When the U.S. pulled out of the nuclear deal, the FBI issued a warning saying that hackers in Iran “could potentially use a range of computer network operations — from scanning networks for potential vulnerabilities to data-deletion attacks — against U.S.-based networks in response to the U.S. government’s withdrawal” from the nuclear pact.

Accenture Security, a global consulting, managing and technology company, also warned Tuesday that the new sanctions would “likely to push that country to intensify state-sponsored cyber threat activities,” particularly if Iran fails to keep its European counterparts committed to the nuclear pact.

Josh Ray, the firm’s managing director for cyber defense, said it hasn’t seen any evidence that Iran has launched any new cyber operations, but he said Iran has the capability to do it and has historically operated in a retaliatory manner.

“This still remains a highly capable, espionage-related type threat,” Ray said. “Organizations need to take this threat seriously. They need to understand how their business could potentially be impacted.”

Recorded Future’s Moriuchi anticipated that businesses most at risk were those victimized in Iranian cyberattacks between 2012 and 2014 — they include banks and financial services, government departments, critical infrastructure providers, and oil and energy.

Those cyberattacks cost nearly 50 financial institutions tens of millions of dollars. The repeated attacks disabled bank websites and kept hundreds of thousands of customers from accessing their online accounts. U.S. prosecutors indicted several Iranians, alleging they worked at the behest of the Iranian government.

One defendant allegedly targeted the computer systems of the Bowman Dam in Rye, New York.

RUMORS OF WAR: Netanyahu threatens Iran with ‘all Israel’s arms’ if Tehran blocks key waterway off Yemen

RUMORS OF WAR: Netanyahu threatens Iran with ‘all Israel’s arms’ if Tehran blocks key waterway off Yemen
Benjamin Netanyahu has lashed out at Israel’s arch-foe Iran, vowing that any attempt by Tehran to block the key waterway off Yemen’s coast would be met by force from the “international coalition” and Israel in particular. The harsh statements by the Israeli PM, who was speaking at a graduation ceremony for naval officers on Wednesday, were referring to the recent Houthi attack on a Saudi oil tanker off Yemen’s western coast.
The Saudi-led coalition has repeatedly said the Houthis are armed and supported by Iran, but both the group and Tehran deny the claims. Yet, Netanyahu branded the incident “a sharp clash with Iran’s satellites who tried to sabotage international shipping” at the mouth of the Red Sea. The Saudi-led coalition insists that its oil tanker was attacked by the Houthis in the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait located between Yemen and Eritrea and Djibouti on the Arabian Peninsula.

New report suggests that Syria, Iraq and Turkey may soon enter “Water Wars”

New report suggests that Syria, Iraq and Turkey may soon enter “Water Wars”
The next war in the Middle East could be fought over water as Iraq, Syria and Turkey scramble to assert claims to two vital rivers that run through the region, according to a new report. Nabil al-Samman, a Syrian expert on international waters, made the case for an upcoming “water war” in an article published Friday by Saudi newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat. The article defines the term as being used to
refer in the Mediterranean to “the use of water as a weapon in order to control its sources, or the diversion of water as a commercial commodity controlled by powerful upstream states for political ends.” The piece outlines a decades-long history of difficult relations and devastating conflicts that have set the stage for a potential upcoming crisis between Syria, Iraq and Turkey. “When the sounds of guns and war drums fade in Syria and Iraq, new tensions may arise because of water, especially in their conflict with Turkey, from which the Euphrates and Tigris rivers flow,” the report read.

North Korea working on new missiles according to officials

North Korea working on new missiles according to officials
North Korea appears to be building new ballistic missiles despite recent warming ties with the Trump administration and pledges to denuclearise, reports say. Unnamed US officials told the Washington Post that spy satellites had spotted continuing activity at a site that has produced ballistic missiles. Reuters quotes an official as saying it is unclear how far the work has gone.
Donald Trump met North Korea’s Kim Jong-un in Singapore in June. After the first meeting between sitting leaders from the two countries, the two men pledged to work towards denuclearisation. Mr Trump later said North Korea was “no longer a nuclear threat”. But Mr Trump was criticised at home for making concessions without securing any firm commitment from Mr Kim to end the nuclear and missile programmes.

RUMORS OF WAR: Iranian general warns Trump: ‘War will destroy everything you own’…
Iran’s Quds force chief Qassem Soleimani warned U.S. President Donald Trump against war on Thursday, saying it would “destroy all that you possess”, the website of Iran’s Arabic language Al Alam TV reported.
“You know that this war will destroy all that you possess. You will start this war but we will be the ones to impose its end. Therefore you have to be careful about insulting the Iranian people and the president of our Republic,” Soleimani said in a speech, as reported by Al Alam in Arabic.

RUMORS OF WAR: Syria Threatens to Respond after Israel Shoots Down Fighter Jet over Israeli Airspace

RUMORS OF WAR: Syria Threatens to Respond after Israel Shoots Down Fighter Jet over Israeli Airspace
A Syrian official said his country will respond “at the appropriate time,” after Israel shot down a Syrian fighter jet over Israeli airspace Tuesday. Air raid sirens sounded in northern Israel for a second straight day, and Israeli forces on the Golan Heights remain on high alert as the war inside Syria rages. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made sure that Russian President Vladimir Putin knows where Israel’s red lines are in Syria.

And one of them is the Golan Heights, where Syrian jets are moving way too close for Israel’s comfort. “Our air defense systems identified a Syrian Air Force jet that took off from the T-4 Syrian Air Force Base and penetrated Israeli airspace. This is a gross violation of the 1974 Separation of Forces agreement with Syria. I have reiterated and made clear that we will not accept any such violation,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.

While Trump and his cabinet have taken a hardline approach to Iran, Trump has threatened foreign adversaries with war before, and then softened his tone and welcomed them to the negotiating table, as was the case with North Korean Leader Kim Jong-un.
Trump pulled the United States out of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), or Iran deal this year – which offered Iran sanctions relief in exchange for halting nuclear expansion – but hinted on Monday that he would be open to negotiating a new agreement with Tehran “If we could work something out that’s meaningful, not the waste of paper like the other deal was.”
In the meantime, the US looks set to continue its pressure campaign of sanctions and threats against the Islamic Republic.
Last week, Trump threatened Rouhani with “CONSEQUENCES THE LIKES OF WHICH FEW THROUGHOUT HISTORY HAVE EVER SUFFERED BEFORE,” in a bizarre all-caps warning via Twitter.
Trump was responding to an earlier statement from Rouhani who urged Washington to refrain from provoking Iran unless it wants “the mother of all wars” to break out.

RUMORS OF WAR: Major Israeli strikes on Gaza amid talk of war…
The Israel Air Force launched a major wave of strikes at Hamas targets across the Gaza Strip on Friday evening as a cabinet minister said Israel was preparing a massive response to Hamas’s failure to heed repeated Israeli warnings to end the violence along the Gaza border. “At this time our aircraft are carrying out widespread attacks against terror targets belonging to Hamas in the Gaza Strip,” the IDF
said, adding that this came after the “serious shooting incident against our forces,” referring to sniper fire at IDF troops during a riot on the border earlier in the day. The army said 15 targets were hit, including the “Hamas brigade headquarters in Zeitoun.” The army said the headquarters were completely destroyed along with “weapons and ammunition stores, training grounds, observation posts, control centers and the offices of the brigade commander.” READ MORE https://www.timesofisrael.com/idf-strikes-deep-into-gaza-as-troops-come-under-fire-amid-talk-of-4th-gaza-war/

RUMORS OF WAR: Israeli Army told to prepare for large-scale military operation in Gaza

RUMORS OF WAR: Israeli Army told to prepare for large-scale military operation in Gaza
Israel’s political leadership has reportedly instructed the army to prepare for a military offensive in the Gaza Strip, to be initiated if the launching of incendiary devices from the Hamas-run coastal enclave into Israeli territory continues. According to a Channel 10 news report Tuesday, Israel has set Friday as a deadline for the flaming kite and balloon launches to cease.
If this does not happen, Israel may decide it has no choice but to embark on a military campaign in the Strip, the report said. Israel sent a similar message to Hamas through Egyptian intelligence, Channel 10 reported, with the Palestinian terror group, in turn, indicating its forces will work to stop the launching of burning materials by Friday.

Fresh footage of futuristic weapon tests & development released by Russian military (VIDEOS)
Russian Defense Ministry has released a new batch of videos of cutting-edge weapons, first unveiled by President Vladimir Putin back in March. The footage shows new tests, as well as gives a grasp of the development process.
The impressive set of new weapons was unveiled by Putin during his annual speech before the Federation Council back in March. The futuristic armaments, some of which are already in service, are designed to give Russia a strong deterrence against any aggression against the country.

High-precision hypersonic weaponry
The hypersonic air-launched Kinzhal missile, which is able to travel 10 times faster than the speed of sound, continues to undergo tests in the Southern Military District. The aviation unit that received the new missiles last December has flown over 350 missions with Kinzhals attached and launched it a number of times. The missile is launched from a high-altitude MiG-31 fighter jet, and it has an effective range of 2,000 kilometers. The Kinzhal can be fitted with nuclear and conventional warheads, and it is able to penetrate the most elaborate air defenses.

Another hypersonic novelty, the Avangard missile complex, has finally entered production, Deputy Commander of the Strategic Missile Forces Major General Sergey Poroskun has said. While the new weapon is still being tested, the existing military infrastructure – presumably underground silos – is being tweaked to accommodate the device, he added.

The new video shows the Avangard glider, fitted to a ballistic missile, being loaded into an underground silo. It sheds little light on the actual performance of the system, since the actual footage is followed by the same animation first shown to the public back in March. The device is advertised as capable of traveling at hypersonic speeds and withstanding extremely high temperatures during the final approach to its target. The system is said to retain maneuverability and can be controlled until the very moment it hits a target.

New-generation Sarmat ICBM
The newest Russian liquid-propelled intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), the RS-28 Sarmat (NATO reporting name SS-X-30 Satan-2) is set to replace the aging R-36 M2 Voevoda missile (NATO reporting name Satan). The Sarmat is designed to be able to carry any existing type of warhead and has virtually no range limit, delivering its payload anywhere on the planet across either the South or the North Pole. The missile has successfully passed the launch tests and now is readied for flight testing, the Defense Ministry has said.

The video demonstrates the missile in a transport container, as well as its loading into an underground silo, and briefly shows the moment when the bright checkered-coated missile leaves the silo. It also gives a sneak peek into the development process, showing fairings, engines and other parts of the missile in a military research facility.

Nuclear-powered weapons fleshing out
While the nuclear propulsion system for the cruise missile, dubbed 'Burevestnik' has been already successfully tested, its frame still needs some tweaking. As for now, the various components of the missile are receiving necessary improvements, one of the developers, Sergey Pertsev, has said. The missile, which is designed to have "unlimited range and unlimited ability to maneuver," undergoes additional ground tests and is expected to get into flight tests following the tweaks.

The new video on the Burevestnik cruise missile, therefore, focuses entirely on the research and development process. It features several missiles in a workshop, some of them already placed into launch containers.

The "sister" project of Burevestnik, the Poseidon drone submarine, which boasts the miniature nuclear propulsion system as well, is also shaping up. The new video shows a static test of the sub, which is basically an enormous nuclear-capable torpedo. Rudders of the large device and its propeller are moving while developers observe its performance. The most intriguing part of the drone submarine – its propeller – is blurred out.

The device is launched from a crewed submarine and travels to its target at high speeds deep underwater, which makes it nearly impossible to intercept, according to the Russian military.

"Unique characteristics of the Poseidon system will help the Navy to successfully combat aircraft carrier and strike groups of a potential adversary in any oceanic theater of war and destroy shore infrastructure facilities," chief analyst of the General Staff, Admiral Igor Katasonov, has said.

Combat laser system remains a mystery
The "combat laser system" Putin announced back in March gets to keep its title of the most mysterious one, since the new video again sheds little light on what exactly it's supposed to do.

The video features a military unit, operating at least two truck-mounted Peresvet systems, accompanied by several command and support vehicles. When deployed, the complex unfolds and exposes a cannon-like device, which is presumably the laser system.

The exact purpose of the complex is still kept secret. It might be a jamming system, which can "blind" the optical electronic equipment of enemy vehicles with a laser beam, since several prototypes of such systems have been developed by the Soviet Union.

Several projects of anti-aircraft and anti-satellite laser systems have also existed, yet none of them materialized. The "combat laser system" designation, however, does give off the sci-fi vibe of a futuristic device capable of burning holes in armor.

RUMORS OF WAR: Israel Warns Hamas Will ‘Pay Heavy Price’ if Fire Kites and Flaming Balloons Don’t Stop

RUMORS OF WAR: Israel Warns Hamas Will ‘Pay Heavy Price’ if Fire Kites and Flaming Balloons Don’t Stop
Israel is warning Hamas that it will “pay a heavy price” if their aggression along the Gaza border continues.  Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told residents of Gaza border towns that Israel is prepared for a “lengthy battle” with Hamas. “It is important that Hamas will understand it is facing a wall of steel, and this wall consists, first of all, of a determined government with strong local leadership
and Zionist communities that we will continue to strengthen and, of course, the IDF (Israel Defense Forces),” Netanyahu told Israeli residents Monday. Despite agreeing to a cease-fire, Palestinians launched fresh attacks with kites and balloons loaded with flammable material aimed at Israel, setting fires to farmlands and forests. Israel’s military is urging Gazans to speak out against such terror tactics.

Seized archive shows Iran nuke project was larger than thought, had foreign help
Sunday, July 15, 2018 | Tag Cloud Tags: Iran, Israel, New York Times, News, nuclear, UK, Wall Street, War, Washington, Worthy News

(Worthy News) - The archive of Iranian nuclear documents seized by the Israeli Mossad from a Tehran warehouse in January shows that Iran’s program to build nuclear weapons “was almost certainly larger, more sophisticated and better organized” than was suspected, unnamed nuclear experts were quoted as saying in the New York Times on Sunday, after being shown selected documents from the haul by US reporters.

One of the Iranian documents specifies plans to build a first “batch of five weapons” and discusses sites for possible underground nuclear tests, the Times reported, after one of its reporters was given limited access to the haul last week, along with a reporter from the Washington Post, and another from the Wall Street Journal.

“None were built, possibly because the Iranians feared being caught, or because a campaign by American and Israeli intelligence agencies to sabotage the effort, with cyberattacks and disclosures of key facilities, took its toll,” said the Times. [ Source: Times of Israel

Our Navy has its ears up after spotting a strange ship.

Fox News is reporting a Chinese spy ship has been lingering just outside U.S. waters off the coast of Hawaii.

War Games
After having been invited to participate in 2014 and 2016, the Chinese were not asked to participate in the RIMPAC (Rim of the Pacific) maritime exercises this year.

The exercise started on June 27 and will continue through August 2.

In all, there are 26 nations participating in the massive exercise.

Reports stated the Chinese ship is approximately 12 nautical miles away from the activity.

Disappointing
Some are speculating the Chinese are miffed at not being included in the military exercise.

Chilean Commodore Pablo Nieman stated, “For me as CFMCC, it is very disappointing that the presence of a non-participating ship could disrupt the exercise.”

“I hope and expect all seafarers to act professionally so we may continue to focus on the work at hand and building on the spirit of cooperation that gives purpose to this exercise,” he added.

A Pacific Fleet spokesman stated the United States in constantly monitoring the ship’s presence.

They also stated they do not expect the ship to cross into our waters.

This is far from the first time the Chinese have sent a ship to monitor our activities.

In July 2017, the Chinese sent a ship off the coast of Alaska that caused quite a stir.

Will the Chinese Disrupt the RIMPAC Exercise?
Yes
No
Next
At the time, the United States was conducting missile tests and it was assumed the Chinese were there to monitor those tests.

Just as they are now, the Chinese were in international waters, just outside of United States territory.

Saudi Arabia shoots down missile fired by rebels in Yemen
June 11, 2018

Saudi Arabia shoots down missile fired by rebels in Yemen
US Missile Defense Agency / CCL
Even as the Trump administration has enjoyed success against ISIS, things aren’t calming down in the Middle East — particularly in Yemen.

A Saudi-led coalition announced on Sunday that Saudia Arabia shot down a missile fired over their southern city of Jazan by rebels in neighboring Yemen on Saturday. Debris from the missile fell over the city’s residential areas but, according to the coalition, there were no casualties.

It was the latest missile attack on the U.S. ally by the Shiite militants known as Houthis, an Iran-backed militia.

Saudi intercepts Yemeni missile attack
The successfully intercepted attack comes after another Houthi missile strike on Jazan killed three civilians Saturday, according to Saudi state media. Saudi Arabia intercepted similar attacks over the southern cities of Jazan and Najran in May, with no casualties, according to the coalition.

Houthi rebels have increased missile strikes on Saudi Arabia in recent months. Saudi Arabia has responded to the growing threat with a new siren system, which it tested last month, for its capital, Riyadh, and its Eastern Province.

The missile attacks coincided with heavy fighting over the weekend between coalition-backed government forces and rebels near the rebel-held port city of Al Hodeidah, near the Red Sea. A weeks-long government advance toward the city succeeded in intensifying the fighting that has killed more than 600 in recent days, according to Yemeni security officials.

Meanwhile, the city remains a key life-line for food and supplies into the famine-stricken country — but Saudi Arabia has accused the rebel Houthis of using the port to smuggle Iranian weapons.

Should the US continue to support Saudi Arabia?
Yes
No
Next
Saudi intervention
Saudi Arabia has been at war with the Houthis since the rebels struck an offensive against Yemen’s internationally recognized government in 2015 and took over the capital of Sanaa. Saudi Arabia accuses its regional rival, Iran, of supporting the Houthis.

The Saudi-led intervention has included several missile attacks, some of which strikes have killed civilians, prompting international criticism. An April strike on Hodeidah killed 12, including 7 children.

A coalition led by Saudi Arabia and including the United Arab Emirates and others first intervened in 2015 shortly after Yemen’s civil war began. The conflict has since killed nearly 10,000 people and displaced more than 3 million, resulting in what the U.N. has called the world’s worst humanitarian crisis.

While civilian deaths are always regrettable, Saudi Arabia would have no need to attack the Houthis if the Houthis did not attack Saudi Arabian civilians, with Iran’s support.

Any rebel group that takes weapons from Iran is no friend of the United States. The Houthis can keep hammering Riyadh with missiles — Saudi Arabia will just shoot them down and retaliate.

RUMORS OF WAR: Israel nears the threshold of war
May 31, 2018 | 0  |
RUMORS OF WAR: Israel nears the threshold of war
Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman said Tuesday that the IDF would not hesitate to attack any place from which rockets were fired at Israel.  “Every place from which the terrorist organizations fire into Israeli territory is a legitimate target for the air force to attack, with all that entails. On behalf of all the people of Israel, I wish to commend the soldiers and commanders of the IDF for the dedication and
determination and the residents of the Gaza vicinity for their steadfastness and to act in every way to ensure security and quiet for the citizens of Israel. Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz said in an interview with Army Radio that “we are closer to the brink of war than we have been since Operation Protective Edge – we are not interested in this and the other side is not, but we have a red line.” He stressed: “Toward evening, the situation will worsen.”

Iranian president attempts to salvage nuclear deal after US’ exit

The president of Iran continues to float the possibility of maintaining the general framework of the 2015 nuclear deal, notwithstanding the US’ departure from it.
By: World Israel News Staff
On Sunday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani claimed that Tehran is open to maintaining the 2015 nuclear deal, which Iran’s foreign ministry seeks to redesign without the US’ participation.
Specifically, Rouhani claims that if the deal can still be structured in a manner in which its interests are protected, Tehran would be opening to remaining in the agreement, an accord that US President Donald Trump referred to as the “worst deal ever.”
In response to Trump’s move, Rouhani referred to the US’ exit from the nuclear accord as a “violation of morals” in remarks broadcast by state television, reported Reuters.
“If the remaining five countries continue to abide by the agreement, Iran will remain in the deal despite the will of America,” he commented during a meeting with the president of Sri Lanka, according to the Reuters report.
Rouhani’s comments arrive amid an effort by his foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, to confer with representatives of other signatories to the deal in an apparent attempt to prevent the deal from completely collapsing under the weight of the US’ departure.

RUMORS OF WAR: Iran planning to launch a barrage of missiles against Israel
May 6, 2018 | 0  |
RUMORS OF WAR:  Iran planning to launch a barrage of missiles against Israel
Iran is preparing a barrage of missiles to launch against Israeli military positions from Syrian territory, Hebrew media reported Sunday, citing defense officials.  Iran plans to avenge alleged Israeli strikes on its bases in Syria, Ma’ariv defense analyst Alon Ben David said, by targeting military targets in northern Israel.
As of now, Israel isn’t “on the eve of war against Iran,” he said, “but the Iranians do want revenge for their losses.”  Iran plans to use Shiite militias already deployed in Syria along with experts from Hezbollah, according to Channel 2 News military analyst Roni Daniel. The proxies would be overseen by general Qasem Soleimani, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps abroad. RUMORS OF WAR: Israel and Iran on Path to War as Mideast Tinderbox Awaits Spark
May 3, 2018 | 0  |
RUMORS OF WAR: Israel and Iran on Path to War as Mideast Tinderbox Awaits Spark
There have been coups and revolutions, external invasions and proxy conflicts, but the Middle East hasn’t seen a head-to-head war between major regional powers since the 1980s.  There’s a growing risk that one is about to break out in Syria, pitting Israel against Iran. The Islamic Republic’s forces are entrenching there, after joining the fight to prop up President Bashar al-Assad. The Jewish state,
perceiving a direct threat on its border, is subjecting them to an escalating barrage of airstrikes. Nobody expects those strikes to go unanswered. The path to escalation is clear, and the rhetoric is apocalyptic. “We will demolish every site where we see an Iranian attempt to position itself,’’ Israel’s Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman told the London-based Saudi newspaper Elaph, adding that the Iranian regime is “living its final days.’’
