Russian Spy Ship Spotted off North Carolina Coast…
Jan 23, 2018 | 0  |
Russian Spy Ship Spotted off North Carolina Coast…
The Russian spy ship, the Viktor Leonov, was spotted 100 miles south-east of Wilmington, North Carolina, in international waters, according to a US military official, just days after the vessel was seen leaving the capital of Trinidad and Tobago, Port of Spain. Two US military officials said the Russian ship is being tracked by the destroyer USS Cole and other naval assets.
Outfitted with a variety of high-tech spy equipment and designed to intercept communications signals, the Viktor Leonov was observed operating in the Caribbean last week, a US defense official told CNN.
It was unclear at the time where the vessel was heading, but the official said the spy ship has typically traveled up the eastern seaboard near Cape Canaveral, King’s Bay, Norfolk and New London in the past.
All these locations are home to US naval installations.

Iran Threatens U.S. Navy Ships Amid Massive War Drills
Jan 23, 2018 | 0  |
Iran Threatens U.S. Navy Ships Amid Massive War Drills
Iranian military leaders claimed Monday that they threatened two American-led vessels in international waters amid a series of new war drills being carried out by the Islamic Republic, according to regional reports and U.S. military officials who confirmed to the Washington Free Beacon contact with the Iranian vessels. As Iran carries out a several days long series of war drills in the Sea of Oman, off the country’s southern border, military leaders claim to have warned off at least two vessels led by U.S.
coalition forces in the region. U.S. military officials confirmed being in contact with Iranian forces, which is just the latest in a series of provocative interactions between the Iranian military and United States. “One U.S. warship operating in the Gulf of Oman received a transmission from Iranian maritime forces announcing an Iranian exercise,” Cmdr. William Urban, a spokesman for U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, told the Free Beacon Monday evening.

CIA Boss Hints At Preemptive Strike On North Korea…
Jan 23, 2018 | 0  |
CIA Boss Hints At Preemptive Strike On North Korea…
The Central Intelligence Agency is briefing President Donald Trump on the risks and opportunities of a limited attack on North Korea, its director revealed on Tuesday.  CIA Director Mike Pompeo would not discuss the “wisdom of a preemptive strike” on Pyongyang or its nuclear weapons program, he told an audience at the conservative American Enterprise Institute. But in rare public remarks, Pompeo portrayed North Korea as an urgent priority for the agency, and disclosed aspects of its role in setting back Kim Jong Un’s nuclear program during his first year at Langley.
Kim is a rational man, Pompeo said the CIA had assessed. But it’s less clear that Kim takes seriously the prospect of a U.S. attack, something that could blunder the world into a devastating nuclear conflict. Pompeo would not answer if options exist for Trump to attack North Korea short of a nuclear war. Analysts warn a limited strike would lead to such a war should North Korea retaliate and prompt escalation. He indicated instead the administration was developing a range of options spanning from diplomacy to war, so Trump will not face a binary choice between inaction and potential nuclear devastation.

PROPHECY WATCH: Will Turkish Invasion of Syria Bring About Pre-Messianic Conflict With Russia?
Jan 23, 2018 | 0  |
PROPHECY WATCH: Will Turkish Invasion of Syria Bring About Pre-Messianic Conflict With Russia?
Turkey launched a military incursion into neighboring Syria over the weekend, bringing Russian and Turkish soldiers into closer proximity in an already volatile region, making a 200-year-old prophecy of pre-Messianic conflict between Russia and Turkey appear to be closer than ever before. This 200-year-old prophecy was a closely guarded secret until just a few years ago and details described in the prophecy are strongly consistent with the situation developing to the North of Israel. A massive Turkish ground force crossed into the Afrin region of Syria to fight the Kurdish militia and push them out of Syria. The Turkish government claims their goal is to establish a 19-mile buffer zone against the Kurdistan Workers
Party (PKK), a militant group based in Syria. If the conflict intensifies, it could pit Turkey directly against Russia, which has boosted its military presence and bases in Syria in an effort to support the Syrian government in the country’s nearly seven-year-long civil war. A conflict between Turkey and Russia was predicted over 200 years ago by Rabbi Elijah ben Solomon Zalman, known as the Vilna Gaon, one of the greatest Jewish scholars of the 18th century who was also a known Kabbalist (mystic). Just before his death, the Vilna Gaon made a two-part prophecy that was kept secret, transferred orally from teacher to student for generations.

Trump warns America: Russia is undermining the U.S. on North Korea
January 18, 2018

Trump warns America: Russia is undermining the U.S. on North Korea
Gage Skidmore / CCL
The nuclear showdown between North Korea and the United States appears to be in a stalemate. Despite a number of global sanctions, Pyongyang still reportedly has access to coal and oil supplies, and this isn’t pleasing to Washington or European security forces.

Some, including President Trump, assert that Russia is undermining the international community’s attempts to economically isolate North Korea. Speaking in an exclusive interview with Reuters, the president claimed that Moscow is offsetting some of the progress made by China by giving Pyongyang access to energy supplies.

Russia has denied any wrongdoing.

Could these assertions weaken objectives to improve U.S.-Russia relations?

Trump Accuses Russia of Helping North Korea
Western European security sources told the newswire last month that Russian tankers supplied oil and coal to North Korea in the weeks following the sanctions. According to the sources, there was a minimum of three instances that Russia transferred cargoes at sea to North Korea that would violate the international penalties.

On Wednesday, President Trump reiterated these concerns to Reuters, warning that Russia is undermining the efforts by China, the U.S., and other regional players. He also praised Beijing for its measures but noted that the world’s second-largest economy could do a little bit more.

Trump said at the Oval Office in a 53-minute interview:

Russia is not helping us at all with North Korea. What China is helping us with, Russia is denting. In other words, Russia is making up for some of what China is doing.

He [Vladimir Putin] can do a lot. But unfortunately we don’t have much of a relationship with Russia, and in some cases it’s probable that what China takes back, Russia gives. So the net result is not as good as it could be.

Russian leadership maintains that it has not contravened the sanctions installed by the United Nations Security Council. Beijing and Moscow both signed onto the sanctions imposed in 2017.

Trump Talks Other China, North Korean Issues
With a fresh can of Diet Coke on his desk, the president discussed other issues relating to China and North Korea.

He revealed that he was considering slapping a large fine on China over allegations of theft of intellectual property. The accusations are still being investigated.

One of the biggest challenges facing Trump’s second year in the White House will undoubtedly be Kim Jong Un and his nuclear artillery. When asked about meeting with the North Korean leader, Trump expressed doubts that face-to-face negotiations would be successful.

“I’d sit down, but I‘m not sure that sitting down will solve the problem,” the president said, citing his three predecessors for failing to settle the foreign policy file.

On many previous occasions, Trump has not dismissed direct communications with Kim.

In the end, the president wants a “peaceful” conclusion.

This month, Kim said he would be open to enter into talks with South Korea. The announcement surprised many observers, including Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, who urged Kim to “tell me he wants to talk.”

Ahead of the Winter Olympics, North Korea announced that it would march with its southern neighbors under the same flag. North Korea is sending a delegation of 500 people to the Olympics, a diplomatic overture that could ease tensions and establish a further dialogue.

Trump needs a resolution quick. If it takes the Winter Olympics to achieve this, then the International Olympic Committee (IOC) may finally be useful for something rather than destroying economies and fleecing taxpayers.

Let’s hope this is the exception, and something useful comes out of the 2018 Olympic Games.

U.S. scientist says North Korea has up to 60 bombs at nuclear facility
January 16, 2018

U.S. scientist says North Korea has up to 60 bombs at nuclear facility
The ongoing battle of words between the United States and North Korea has been ramping up for some time. It’s difficult to know how serious the situation is, as some of it has been fought on Twitter, with President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un taking shots at each other about “nuclear buttons.”

Now, however, one scientist says the threat is real. Sig Hecker, the former director of Los Alamos National Laboratory, has visited North Korea seven times and says he’s seen evidence that they have been progressing their nuclear weapons program; he estimates that the country has between 30 and 60 nuclear weapons available.

That’s shocking news, to say the least.

The Visits
Hecker was invited to visit Yongbyon, the secretive North Korean nuclear facility, in 2004. Since then, he has been back six more times to view their progress.

He spoke with CBS’ 60 Minutes on Sunday:

They bring in, and it’s a red metal box about yea big, about this thick. They open the metal box. They take out a white wooden box. White wooden box has a slide off top. So they slide off the top. I look in there. The director says, “Over here, this glass jar. That’s our product. That’s the plutonium.

Hecker would know plutonium when he sees it; as the man formerly responsible for United States nuclear development, he’s well-versed in what to look for.

The scientist says the box handed to him was real.

Robert Carlin, a former CIA employee who has studied the North Koreans for over 40 years, says the strange idea of North Korea showing an American scientist their nuclear secrets isn’t so strange after all.

Nobody would believe them otherwise, right? People would say, “Oh, they’re just posturing. Oh, it’s propaganda.” So how are you going to convince the Americans? You get an expert who knows plutonium when he sees it and you, you hand it to him. You say, “Here it is. What do you think?”

What Does It All Mean?
Secretary of Defense James Mattis has said the U.S. cannot accept North Korea as a nuclear power.

Kim Jong Un has responded by declaring that North Korea will never give up its program and will continue to see the United States as its biggest threat.

Carlin says there’s a basic misunderstanding in Washington about how to view the North Korean nuclear debate.

“I think they understand us better than we understand them” he told the Daily Mail. “We’re still weighed down with a lot of stereotypes and they’re going to trip us up.”

The situation is clearly a tense one and hopefully, leaders of both countries can arrive at a reasonable path for moving forward.

Russia carries out massive military drill with thousands of troops simulating attack
Russia has sparked fears of a potential war looming as thousands of troops simulated a deadly attack during huge military drills. Pictures from the Khmelyovka training ground show soldiers in a massive range of war scenarios, including detonating weapons on the battlefield. Huge explosions are seen in some of the photos, blasting sand from the beach as fireball erupted.

Troops were seen testing out UR-77 Meteroit mine clearing systems, or working with an array of pistols and guns. And flares filled the air with smoke as soldiers advanced on their targets under the cover of the thick black plumes. The drills involved more than1,000 soldiers, including the engineer and sapper units of the Russian Navy’s Baltic Fleet.

Kim Jong-un could launch nuclear strike on US in less than Six Months

Kim Jong-un could launch nuclear strike on US in less than Six Months
North Korea could be able to launch a nuclear attack on the United States in less than six months despite sanctions starting to have a large effect on the population, East Asia expert Gordon Chang warned. North Korea’s leader Kim Jong-un warned he was ready to press the “nuclear button” on his desk to hit the United States, possibly kickstarting World War 3.
But Mr Chang said the international community has between three to six months before North Korea reaches nuclear capability to defuse tensions. He said: “Kim Jong-un actually doesn’t have a button he can push right now. Maybe three months, six months from now, he can pick up the phone and launch a nuke at the United States. “The one thing Kim can do is launch an electromagnetic pulse device: he doesn’t need heat shielding, he doesn’t need guidance. He could do a lot of damage to the United States.”

RUMORS OF WAR: Chinese President orders army to prepare for War…
In the clip, filmed in Central Theatre Command on Wednesday, more than 7,000 Chinese servicemen await Xi’s New Year orders. As the camera pans through the crowd, it gives an insight into how regimented the world’s largest army is. Speaking in front of thousands of troops and over 300 perfectly organized military vehicles, Xi – the Communist Party’s General Secretary – ordered his forces to prepare for the event of war.

“Here I give my orders: the military at all levels should strengthen military training and war preparedness. “The military should continue to implement actual and joint training under combat conditions, and continue to conduct strict training in accordance with the Outline for Military Training and Evaluation. “The military should hold training and competition with mass participation, strengthen tailored and adversarial training, enhance real combat capabilities, and master the skills to fight and win.”

South Korea has seized Another ship suspected of transferring oil to North Korea in violation of international sanctions. The seizure was the second to be revealed by South Korea within a few days. A South Korean customs official said The Panama-flagged tanker, KOTI, was seized at Pyeongtaek-Dangjin port, on the west coast. A marine official said the seizure had happened recently. Kim Jong Un says he has a nuclear button on his desk to nuke the U.S. mainland
January 1, 2018

Kim Jong Un says he has a nuclear button on his desk to nuke the U.S. mainland
North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un made a disturbing admission during his New Year’s Day speech.

Kim claimed that North Korea had full nuclear capabilities, calling them a “reality.” He added that he had the nuclear strike button on his desk as proof.

Happy New Year.

Historic achievement?
Kim claimed Monday during his annual address that North Korea had achieved the historic achievement of “completing” its nuclear forces.

Directing his remarks specifically at the United States, he said, according to a translation provided by The Associated Press:

The U.S. should know that the button for nuclear weapons is on my table. The entire area of the U.S. mainland is within our nuclear strike range. … The United States can never start a war against me and our country.

Kim added that the regime wasn’t finished producing and stockpiling weaponry.

“We need to mass-produce nuclear warheads and ballistic missiles and accelerate their deployment,” he said.

The North Korean leader spoke in front of several microphones, but no nuclear button could be discerned in the footage.

Watch the report, via the English language version of EuroNews:

Mounting tensions
Tests initiated by the regime have escalated tensions within the region, and have caused concern in South Korea and Japan — both loyal U.S. allies. Fox News reported:

Pyongyang’s frequent missile launches in 2017, along with its sixth nuclear test, have ratcheted up tensions with the United States. The tests were the focus of fiery back-and-forth arguments between North Korea and President Donald Trump, who has called Kim “Little Rocket Man.”

Olive branch
Kim tempered his saber-rattling with an olive branch, purportedly offered to indicate a desire to improve relations with South Korea. This has been a matter of concern lately, given that South Korea is scheduled to host the 2018 Winter Olympic Games. He indicated that the games could provide an opportunity for North Korea to send a delegation.

“The Winter Olympic games that will be held soon in the South will be a good opportunity to display the status of the Korean nation and we sincerely wish that the event will be held with good results,” he said.

Given recent defections to the south by North Korean soldiers, it’s doubtful that the regime will ever send a delegation. Its members would also more than likely defect and never return.

“We’ll see”
When asked for comment, President Donald Trump characteristically kept his cards close to his vest.

“We’ll see, we’ll see,” he responded when asked while hosting a New Year’s Eve party at his Palm Beach, Fla. Mar-a-Lago estate.

Kim could learn from Trump. If the dictator is to be believed, we now know precisely where the North Korean nuclear button is located — and that’s where we can aim our own arsenal.

GOG AND MAGOG WATCH: Turkey and Russia sign deal on supply of S-400 missiles
Dec 29, 2017 | 0  |
GOG AND MAGOG WATCH: Turkey and Russia sign deal on supply of S-400 missiles
Turkey and Russia have signed an accord for Moscow to supply Ankara with S-400 surface-to-air missiles, CNN Turk and other media reported on Friday, finalizing a deal the two countries have been working on for more than a year.  The S-400 deal, reportedly worth about $2.5 billion, has caused concern in the West because Turkey is a member of NATO and the system cannot be integrated into NATO’s military architecture.
It is the latest in a series of moves by Ankara to boost its defense capabilities as it faces threats from Kurdish and Islamist militants at home and conflicts across its borders in Syria and Iraq. No details of the accord were available and officials were not immediately available to comment. But Sergei Chemezov, head of the Russian state conglomerate Rostec, told the Kommersant daily on Wednesday Russia would supply Turkey with four batteries of S-400s under the deal.

WAR DRUMS: North Korea says it will continue preparing ‘pre-emptive attacks with nuclear force’
Dec 30, 2017 | 0  |
WAR DRUMS: North Korea says it will continue preparing ‘pre-emptive attacks with nuclear force’
North Korea promised on Saturday to continue preparing “pre-emptive attacks with nuclear force” in the face of U.S. “blackmail,” according to The Associated Press. “Do not expect any change in its policy,” the state’s official media arm, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said Saturday. “Its entity as an invincible power can neither be undermined nor be stamped out.” KCNA said North Korea has been working toward “bolstering the capabilities for self-defense and pre-emptive attacks with nuclear force,” in response to ongoing “nuclear threat and blackmail and war drills” by the U.S.
North Korea has tested missiles at least 16 times in 2017, and threatened the use of a hydrogen bomb small enough to fit on a missile. More than one North Korean missile flew into the air space of neighboring Japan, and new models have flown to heights that some military analysts predict could reach the mainland U.S. Increased provocations from North Korea have led to the implementation of crippling sanctions from the United Nations in the form of trade and crude oil bans, and bombastic rhetoric from President Trump.

China spotted illegally selling oil to North Korea
Dec 30, 2017 | 0  |
China spotted illegally selling oil to North Korea
U.S. spy satellites reportedly captured photos of Chinese ships illegally selling oil to North Korean boats some 30 times since October.  Satellite images released by the U.S. Department of Treasury appeared to show vessels from both countries illegally trading oil in the West Sea, The Chosun Ilbo reported Tuesday, citing South Korean government sources. North Korea was barred in September by the United
Nations Security Council from importing natural gas and had its crude oil imports capped in response to Kim Jong Un’s nuclear missile program. The U.S. Treasury in November also sanctioned North Korea’s Maritime Administration and its transport ministry, in addition to six North Korean shipping and trading companies and 20 of their vessels, in an effort to block the rogue regime’s transportation networks.

South Korea holding crew of ship that allegedly gave oil to North Koreans

South Korea holding crew of ship that allegedly gave oil to North Koreans
The crew of a Hong Kong-flagged ship that allegedly violated U.N. sanctions by transferring oil to a North Korean vessel in October is being held in South Korea until a full inspection is sent to the Security Council, officials announced Friday.  The Lighthouse Winmore is believed to have transferred about 600 tons of refined petroleum products to the North Korean ship, the Sam Jong 2, in international waters in the East China Sea on Oct. 19, after leaving the South Korean port of Yeosu,
a South Korean Foreign Ministry official told the Associated Press. The announcement came on the same day Defense Secretary James Mattis told Fox News that he believes the world will exert “increased pressure” on North Korea in the coming months following the recent maritime incidents. South Korean customs authorities said they boarded the ship and interviewed crew members after they returned to Yeosu on Nov. 24.

Kim Jong Un doesn’t seem to get the message; he just keeps ratcheting up tensions on the Korean Peninsula. His latest move has certainly caught the attention of the United States and its allies.
Intelligence reports from South Korea show that the North Koreans are prepared to continue their provocative moves. Despite just being sanctioned by the United Nations at the urging of the U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley, the Kim regime is now planning to launch a satellite into orbit.
Kim’s New Satellite
Fox News reports:
“Through various channels, we’ve recently learned that the North has completed a new satellite and named it Kwangmyongsong-5,” the Joongang Ilbo daily reported, quoting a South Korean government source.
A satellite is a potential precursor to new missile tests or even a missile test in disguise. It could also be, as the South Koreans expect, a means of launching new reconnaissance technology, such as cameras and telecommunications devices into orbit.
U.N. Sanctions
In response to North Korea’s ballistic missile test, the United Nations voted to sanction North Korea, and the U.N. Security Council voted unanimously to do so. Nikki Haley, Trump’s appointment as the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, pushed the vote through the international body.
To no one’s surprise, North Korea was not happy about this development — they called the sanctions an “act of war.” Reuters reports:
The latest U.N. sanctions against North Korea are an act of war and tantamount to a complete economic blockade against it, North Korea’s foreign ministry said on Sunday, threatening to punish those who supported the measure.
North Korea’s ballistic missile launch, which demonstrated that North Korea could reach the continental United States, came after a nuclear warhead test in September of this year. Kim seems to be fixated on attempting to intimidate South Korea, the United States, and other allies in the region.
China, of course, is the exception to this rule.
What’s Next?
How soon would the launch take place? It’s unknown, but as The Right Scoop opines, Kim Jong-Un’s birthday is coming up, and it was celebrated by a launch last year:
The February 2016 launch occurred just days before the birthday of the country’s former leader, Kim Jong-il. It would certainly seem reasonable to expect they are going for the same thing again.
If this prediction is true, the Trump administration has just about a month to prepare its response to Kim Jong Un’s launch. Any effective response, however, requires engaging with China, the only country sympathetic to North Korea in the region.
China seems to use North Korea as both a bargaining chip and a smoke screen.
When it wants to negotiate with Western powers, generally led by the United States, it uses its influence over North Korea as a means of offering up concessions.
In the event that China has done something that the West or the larger international community may not like, North Korea will suddenly ratchet up tensions again and act as a distraction.
That seems odd, given that China is a permanent member of the U.N. Security Council. Especially when the sanctions vote was unanimous, right?
Well, recent reports demonstrate that the Chinese are defying previous UN sanctions which prohibit the sale of oil to North Korea.
The Telegraph reports:
South Korean officials told the Chosun Ilbo that the ships were allegedly trading in the West Sea between China and South Korea in a bid to bypass strict United Nations sanctions on oil exports to the pariah regime over its ongoing nuclear and weapons programme.
Granted, these are probably smugglers. But the Chinese government is the only authority in the area to prevent these illicit actions. If they want it stopped, they can do so.
North Korea ought to be careful.
The last time a U.S. president was this focused on dismantling a regime, the Berlin Wall fell along with the entire U.S.S.R.
South Korean soldiers at the DMZ were able to crawl to Song’s position hours later and carry him to safety. Officials have not confirmed which one of the four defectors is carrying anthrax antibodies.
Analysts have not ruled out the possibility that the North Korean carrier could have been infected on a farm or by working with animals. The World Health Organization Collaborating Center for Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems for Public Health reports that anthrax on the Korean Peninsula occurs at a “sporadic” rate similar to the U.S.
In the last 46 years, however, there have been just 236 cases of anthrax reported in the U.S., suggesting that the North Korean defector’s chances of naturally contracting the disease are extremely low.
The apprehensive atmosphere accompanying the recent discovery of an advanced biological warfare system in North Korea occurs just weeks before tens of thousands of international guests are expected to visit South Korea for the 2018 Winter Olympics.
The UN, this time with support from China and Russia, have stepped up sanctions against the rebellious nation in hopes that Kim Jong-Un’s regime will negotiate or limit its expansion of weapons of mass destruction.

RUMORS OF WAR: Defense Secretary Warns ‘Storm Clouds Are Gathering’ Over Korean Peninsula
Dec 25, 2017 | 0  |
RUMORS OF WAR: Defense Secretary Warns ‘Storm Clouds Are Gathering’ Over Korean Peninsula
“Storm clouds are gathering” over the Korean Peninsula, Defense Secretary Jim Mattis declared Friday. And as diplomats try to resolve the nuclear standoff, he told soldiers that the U.S. military must do its part by being ready for war. Without forecasting a conflict, Mattis emphasized that diplomacy stands the best chance of preventing a war if America’s words are backed up by strong and prepared armed forces. “My fine young soldiers, the only way our diplomats can speak with authority and be believed is if you’re ready to go,”
Mattis told several dozen soldiers and airmen at the 82nd Airborne Division’s Hall of Heroes, his last stop on a two-day pre-holiday tour of bases to greet troops. Mattis’ comments came as the U.N. Security Council unanimously approved tough new sanctions against North Korea, compelling nations to sharply reduce their sales of oil to the reclusive country and send home all North Korean expatriate workers within two years. Such workers are seen as a key source of revenue for North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s cash-strapped government.

RUMORS OF WAR: Top Marine General Warns ‘There’s a war coming’…
Dec 22, 2017 | 0  |
RUMORS OF WAR: Top Marine General Warns ‘There’s a war coming’…
The stated goals of the Marine Corps’ newest rotational force in Norway are to enhance partnerships with European allies and improve the service’s ability to fight in cold weather. But on a brief visit to the 300-member unit ahead of Christmas, the commandant and the sergeant major of the Marine Corps both described the strategic role the small unit fills — and the fact that a peacetime mission can be preface to combat if circumstances change.
The Norwegian Home Guard base near Trondheim that houses the Marine rotational force was the first stop on Gen. Robert Neller’s annual Christmas tour. The stop was a new one for the tour. The first Norway rotation, from 1st Battalion, 2nd Marines, deployed in January and was replaced by a new unit from 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marines, in late August. Neller emphasized to the Marines that they should remain ready to fight at all times, predicting a “big-ass fight” on the horizon. “I hope I’m wrong, but there’s a war coming,” Neller said. ” … You’re in a fight here, an informational fight, a political fight, by your presence.”

DEVELOPING: US preparing attack on North Korea

DEVELOPING: US preparing attack on North Korea
The US is preparing plans to deliver a “bloody nose” attack against North Korea to knock out its nuclear weapons program.  The White House has “dramatically” ramped up its military plans amid fears that diplomacy won’t thwart North Korean despot Kim Jong Un from making good on his threats, sources told the UK’s Telegraph.
One option is destroying a launch site before the rogue regime uses it for a new missile test, while another is targeting weapons stockpiles, according to the news outlet. The Trump administration hopes that pre-emptive action would show the trigger-happy dictator that the United States is serious about stopping his bellicose pursuits and persuading him to negotiate.

WAR DRUMS: US commandos train to capture North Korean nukes
Dec 20, 2017 | 0  |
WAR DRUMS: US commandos train to capture North Korean nukes
U.S. military forces reportedly trained earlier this month for a mission that would put them on North Korean soil, with the objective of “infiltrating” and “removing weapons of mass destruction,” according to foreign military sources.  Revealing photos of a recent exercise, dubbed Warrior Strike IX, show a U.S. military unit known as “The Black Jack Brigade” training alongside their South Korean counterparts at Camp Stanley, in Korea.
The pictures were featured in a post on the unit’s Facebook page. The images show soldiers training with night-vision equipment, armored vehicles and full-face protective gear, including gas masks. Descriptions of the event suggest soldiers practiced for eventualities such as transporting injured comrades and capturing combatants. According to South Korea’s Yonhap news agency, which quoted anonymous military sources,

Japan Building Missile Bases to Confront Rising Threat From China

Japan Building Missile Bases to Confront Rising Threat From China
Japan is building missile bases on islands off the coast of China in a bid to counter the rising threat from its communist neighbor.  The country’s military – which has long been restricted by its post-Second World War pacifist constitution – has been constructing anti-aircraft and anti-ship weapons on Ishigaki, 200 miles from eastern China and just off the coast of Taiwan. It is one of many islands in the Yaeyama archipelago to be garrisoned by the Japanese, with soldiers bringing new weapons and radar technology to the area.
The Japanese army – or Ground Self-Defense Force – told the Wall Street Journal it plans to deploy between 500 and 600 soldiers to Ishigaki to operate a missile system there. It comes after the country announced its intention to buy offensive air-to-surface missiles to counter North Korea’s rising military threat. Defence secretary Itsunori Onodera said the ministry intends to request a special budget for the fiscal year starting April 2018 to purchase long-range cruise missiles to be deployed on fighter jets.

Former Chinese general warns that war could break out with North Korea anytime between now and March

Former Chinese general warns that war could break out with North Korea anytime between now and March
War could break out in the Korean peninsula at “any time” within the next three months, a retired Chinese army general has warned. Lieutenant General Wang Hongguang urged his country to mobilize defenses in anticipation of conflict in the region, amid continued tensions over North Korea‘s nuclear weapons programme. “The war on the Korean Peninsula might break out anytime between now and March next year,”
Lt-Gen Wang told an annual forum hosted by the Chinese Global Times newspaper. He added: “China should be psychologically prepared for a potential Korean war, and the north-east China regions should be mobilized for that.  “Such mobilization is not to launch a war, but for defensive purposes.” Song Zhongping, a Chinese military expert, told the newspaper defensive mobilization would include deploying anti-missile weapons to border areas that could be affected by nearby battles. Humanitarian aid would also be prepared for North Korean refugees, he added.

Kim Jong-un testing new warheads loaded with Anthrax…

Kim Jong-un testing new warheads loaded with Anthrax…
North Korea is conducting biological weapons experiments to test the possibility of loading anthrax-laden warheads on its intercontinental ballistic missiles, it has been reported.  Japan’s Asahi newspaper reported on Wednesday, citing an unidentified person connected to South Korean intelligence, that North Korea was conducting biological weapons experiments to test the possibility of loading anthrax-laden warheads on its intercontinental ballistic missiles.
The Asahi report said the U.S. government was aware of the tests, which were meant to ascertain whether the anthrax bacteria could survive the high temperatures that occur during warheads re-entry from space. The news that North Korea may have been testing anthrax-laden warheads comes as South Korean President Moon Jae-in is seeking to soothe relations with China and the North before the Winter Olympics in South Korea in February.

RUMORS OF WAR: China Must Prepare for Imminent War With North Korea
Dec 18, 2017 | 0  |
RUMORS OF WAR: China Must Prepare for Imminent War With North Korea
It isn’t only the United States that could soon see itself engaged in a deadly conflict with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. China also is at risk of an imminent war with North Korea, warned some of China’s most prestigious national security experts at a conference in Beijing this week. “Conditions on the peninsula now make for the biggest risk of a war in decades,” said Shi Yinhong, director of the Center on American Studies at Renmin University of China in Beijing and an adviser to the State Council of China on diplomacy issues since February 2011, during the conference. “North Korea is a time bomb. We can
only delay the explosion, hoping that by delaying it, a time will come to remove the detonator,” he said, reported the South China Morning Post Saturday. Wang Hongguang, former deputy commander of the Nanjing Military Region, an important military region, warned that a war could begin as soon as March, when South Korea and the United States are slated to hold annual military drills. “It is a highly dangerous period,” Wang said during the conference. “Northeast China should mobilize defenses for war.”

RUMORS OF WAR: Israel Warns Hamas Of Coming Destruction In Next Few Months
Dec 18, 2017 | 0  |
RUMORS OF WAR: Israel Warns Hamas Of Coming Destruction In Next Few Months
Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman says Tel Aviv will no longer allow a game of “ping-pong” rocket exchanges to take place with Hamas.  “In the next few months all existing tunnels will be blown up and destroyed” by new technologies invented by Israel, Lieberman said during an interview with RTVI, adding that Israel is aiming to put an end to the “ping-pong” of rocket exchanges.  His comments
come amid increased tensions between Israel and Palestinians – who are supported by Hamas – after US President Donald Trump’s official recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. According to Lieberman, Hamas is solely responsible for the escalating violence in the Gaza Strip and argues that a large-scale attack from Hamas is inevitable, stating that “should Hamas be faced with the alternative of losing power or attacking Israel, without a doubt, Hamas will choose another conflict with Israel.”

Defector warns North Korea ready to send “suicide bomber army” with “nuclear backpacks” across the world
Dec 18, 2017 | 0  |
Defector warns North Korea ready to send “suicide bomber army” with “nuclear backpacks” across the world
North Korea is ready to send a “suicide bomber army” equipped with “nuclear backpacks” across the world, a defector has warned.   North Korea has a secret army of brainwashed “robots” who “live and die” for despot Kim Jong-un, the London-based defector revealed. Joo-il Kim exclusively told Express.co.uk North Korea was not militarily strong enough to bomb their rivals in the traditional sense
but were ready to “infiltrate the free world” with a crack squad of suicide bombers. Mr Kim, who lives in New Malden, south London along with a hundreds-strong population of other North Korean defectors, explained the group of specially-selected killers were the hermit state’s biggest asset. He said: “The top level leaders won’t wage war. They know they can’t win the war.

U.S. senator warns: 70% likelihood of Trump attacking North Korea if they test nukes again

U.S. senator warns: 70% likelihood of Trump attacking North Korea if they test nukes again
Morning Calm Weekly Newspaper Installation Management Command / CCL
One of our nation’s most aggressive and stubborn enemies may have finally pushed their luck with the Trump administration a little too far.

In an interview with The Atlantic, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) offered a bold prediction about North Korea. He stated that there is a three in 10 chance of the United States conducting military operations against North Korea if they continue along the path they are on, with that chance jumping to 70 percent if Kim Jong-un and his regime move forward with any more nuclear testing.

Graham isn’t simply speculating, though. He played golf with the president on Sunday and spoke with him about North Korea.

Graham put it this way: in conversations with Trump, the topic of North Korea “comes up all the time.”

Watch the Fox News report here:

Fox News Insider
Published on 15 Dec 2017
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) predicted there is a "three in 10 chance" the United States uses the military option against North Korea, and that number would jump to "70 percent" if the rogue regime conducted another test of a nuclear bomb.

Marines carry out full-scale air, sea and ground drill on Southern California bases
Dec 14, 2017 | 0  |
Marines carry out full-scale air, sea and ground drill on Southern California bases
A war game exercise that deploys a battalion-size air, sea and ground assault is playing out across Marine Corps bases in Southern California this week. The exercise, which includes more than 1,000 Marines from the 1st Marine Division and more than 600 Marine aviators and their crews, is taking place at San Clemente Island, Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Camp Pendleton and at the Marine Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms. It combines the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing’s “Winter Fury” exercise with the 1st Marine Division’s “Steel Knight” training. Both are held annually to prepare
Marines for worldwide threats and to sharpen their skills for upcoming deployments. But the combined exercise is the first in more than a decade, military officials say. “We are setting up a full command structure within the wing that will command and control all our assets flying in the air space that is real and virtual,” said Col. Michael Borgschulte, assistant Wing Commander for the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, which has units at Camp Pendleton, Miramar and Marine Corps Air Station Yuma in Arizona. “We are doing command and control integration with the 1st Marine Division.”

N. Korea warns of Trump taking dangerous step to nuclear war by seeking naval blockade

N. Korea warns of Trump taking dangerous step to nuclear war by seeking naval blockade
US President Donald Trump is taking an “extremely dangerous” and “big step” towards nuclear war by seeking a naval blockade, North Korea has stated, according to the official KCNA news agency. Pyonyang also said it will take “merciless self-defensive” measures against any blockade, as it would consider such a move an “act of war.” The North Korean government also believes any blockade would be a “wanton violation” of its sovereignty and dignity, KCNA reported, citing a foreign ministry spokesman.  US
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson previously mentioned the “right to interdict maritime traffic transporting goods” to and from the North, following Pyongyang’s latest intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) test on November 29. Pyongyang also lashed out at the possible US move in a commentary on Sunday in the communist party newspaper Rodong Sinmun. Earlier on Thursday, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin warned that North Korea now finds itself in a position where it “doesn’t see any other way for self-protection rather than developing weapons of mass destruction and missile technologies.”

CUP OF TREMBLING: Iran Warns “Trump’s Jerusalem Move Will Hasten Israel’s Destruction”

CUP OF TREMBLING: Iran Warns “Trump’s Jerusalem Move Will Hasten Israel’s Destruction”
Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital will hasten the country’s destruction, Iran’s defense minister said on Monday, while a top Revolutionary Guards commander phoned two Palestinian armed groups and pledged support for them. Leaders of Iran, where opposition to Israel and support for the Palestinian cause has been central to foreign policy since the 1979 Islamic revolution, have denounced last week’s announcement by the US president, including a plan to move the US embassy to
the city. The Palestinians want East Jerusalem as the capital of their future state. “(Trump’s) step will hasten the destruction of the Zionist regime and will double the unity of Muslims,” Iran’s defense minister, Brigadier General Amir Hatami, said on Monday, according to state media. The army’s chief of staff, General Mohammad Baqeri, said Trump’s “foolish move” could be seen as the beginning of a new intifada, or Palestinian uprising.

US, Japan and S. Korea launch two-day ‘missile tracking’ drills
Washington, Seoul and Tokyo have have begun joint “missile tracking” drills, South Korea’s military said. The new round of military exercises comes just days after the US and its allies concluded the largest ever air maneuvers over the peninsula. The exercises kicked off Monday amid speculation that North Korea may soon test launch a submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM), South Korea’s military
announced, according to the Yonhap news agency. Two US Aegis destroyers – USS Stethem and USS Decatur – are leading the war games along with South Korea’s Seoae Ryu Seong Ryong Aegis destroyer, and Japan’s Chokai Aegis vessel. During the exercises, the three navies aim to polish their skills at detecting and tracking potential ballistic missiles using a computer-simulated training module.

US Military Training Drills Take Place Over DC
A training exercise involving several military aircraft will take place early Tuesday over the D.C. region, authorities said. The North American Aerospace Defense Command and its Continental U.S. NORAD Region will be conducting the exercise, called Falcon Virgo 18-03. It will include an F-16 fighter, a C-21 transport plane and an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter, which will fly over the D.C. region from about midnight until 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, officials said.
In the event of bad weather, the drill will be moved to Wednesday morning. Continued bad weather will postpone the exercise or it will be canceled, officials said. The exercise involves training flights, officials said, with the cooperation of the Federal Aviation Administration, the Joint Air Defense Operations Center and the Office of National Capital Region Coordination. Report: North Korea ‘building factories’ for ‘bio-weapons production’
December 11, 2017
https://www.conservativeinstitute.org/foreign-policy/north-korea/north-koreas-bio-weapons.htm?utm_source=boomtrain&utm_medium=NS1&utm_campaign=1513110701765&utm_source=boomtrain&utm_medium=NS1&utm_campaign=1513110701641
Report: North Korea ‘building factories’ for ‘bio-weapons production’
While Kim Jong Un’s nuclear capabilities are well-known, the North Korean dictator may be engaging in something far more horrific. The two most denounced weapon systems in the world are chemical and biological.

While Syrian President Bashar al-Assad was vilified for engaging in chemical warfare, the North Korean ruler may soon be known for germ warfare. Reportedly, North Korea is building factories and acquiring equipment capable of biological weapons production.

Bio-factories
The United States discovered last month that North Korea now has factory complexes capable of producing microbes — by the ton. New York magazine reported Sunday:

U.S. experts are alarmed by North Korea’s strides toward obtaining the knowledge and equipment needed to produce biological weapons. It’s no secret that North Korea is pursuing a bioweapons program, though it’s usually overshadowed by their drive to develop nuclear weapons.

What’s raised new concerns is North Korea’s development of factories that could be used to produce tons of microbes, and labs focused on genetic modification. North Korea has also sent its scientists to study advanced biotechnology abroad. There’s no evidence that Kim Jong-un has ordered the mass production of biological weapons — but it’s unclear why.

“That the North Koreans have [biological] agents is known, by various means,” a senior U.S. official told The Washington Post in a report published Sunday. “The lingering question is, why have they acquired the materials and developed the science, but not yet produced weapons?”

Secrecy is bio’s hallmark
The official added that unlike the horrific blast of a nuclear device, biological warfare is waged silently and may be undetected until it’s too late.

“If it started tomorrow we might not know it, unless we’re lucky enough to have an informant who happens to be in just the right place,” the official said.

The Post reported:

In a country that is famously secretive, it is perhaps the most carefully guarded secret of all. North Korea consistently denies having a biological warfare program of any kind, and it has worked diligently to keep all evidence of weapons research hidden from sight.

“Unexpected jolt”
Despite the program’s secrecy, Kim provided a glimpse into what North Korea was engaging in two years ago. Accompanied by a state-owned TV camera crew, he toured the new sprawling, two-story Pyongyang Biotechnical Institute.

The claim was that the facility was developing biological pesticides for agricultural use. U.S. analysts who viewed the footage disagreed and got “an unexpected jolt” after reviewing and studying it.

The military-run facility contained machinery and equipment, much of it “banned from sale to North Korea under international sanctions” because of its ability to be used to produce biological weapons. They included fermenters capable of producing live microbes in bulk, and dryers “designed to turn billions of bacterial spores into a fine powder for easy dispersal.”

A strong north wind could silently carry the spores southward, infecting U.S. and South Korean troops and their families as well as the South Korean civilian population.

With that apocalyptic thought in mind, it’s possible that North Korea’s nuclear saber-rattling is little more than a feint.

“They talk openly about their ‘nuclear deterrent,’ but with chemical and biological weapons, it’s different,” Joseph DeTrani, a retired CIA veteran told the Post. “They’ve always played it close to the vest. For them, it’s a real option. But they want to preserve the possibility of deniability.”

North Korea rocked by earthquakes after nuclear blast amid fears more tests are on the way
Two tremors detected near North Korea’s nuclear test site early on Saturday morning were probably aftershocks from Kim’s huge nuclear blast in September, according to a US Geological Survey (USGS) official. The 2.9 and 2.4-magnitude aftershocks were detected at 06.13 and 06.40 GMT and a tweet from Lassina Zerbo, executive secretary of the Vienna-based Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty
Organisation, revealed analysis’s had confirmed the activity was “tectonic” in origin. The tremors were recorded close to North Korea’s Punggye-Ri nuclear test site in the north-west of the country, close to the border with China. The USGS official explained: “They’re probably relaxation events from the sixth nuclear test.”When you have a large nuclear test, it moves the earth’s crust around the area, and it takes a while for it to fully subside.

China has started preparing its military to support North Korea if World War 3 breaks out with the US, a military expert revealed. The People’s Liberation Army of China has been conducting military exercises on the Korean border in preparation for war breaking out between the US and North Korea. The fear of
war between the two countries has risen over the past several months after China’s neighbor carried out a number of illegal missile tests and threatened to target the US territory of Guam with a nuclear missile. Following the announcement regarding China’s new military drills, military expert Li Jie has given her verdict as to who the country would side within any future conflict.
