RUMORS OF WAR: Gulf crisis could spiral into full blown war!
JUNE 11, 2017
The recent diplomatic fracture among some of the biggest Arab nations is so “dramatic,” it could spiral into a war, Germany’s foreign minister has warned in an interview with local media. Sigmar Gabriel described the ongoing crisis in the Arab world as being “dramatic,” while speaking exclusively to the Frankfurter Allgemeinen Sonntagszeitung.  The isolation of Doha by such key players as Saudi Arabia and its allies present “a danger that this conflict could become a
war,” Gabriel, who is also Germany’s vice-chancellor, warned.  However, citing his “personal talks” with officials from several states, including Saudi Arabia and Turkey, as well as with counterparts from Iran and Kuwait, Gabriel said that although “the situation is serious,” he believes “there are good chances to go ahead” in trying to prevent further escalation. On Friday, Berlin made calls for greater diplomatic efforts to restore relations between allied and neighboring countries in the Gulf.

DEVELOPING: North Korea gearing up to test newest nuclear missile
JUNE 10, 2017
North Korea may be close to testing its newest intercontinental ballistic missile, state media suggested. In recent months, North Korea has been testing a variety of nuclear missiles at an unprecedented pace.  Four new systems have been tested over the past few weeks, including reliable short and mid-range ballistic missiles. Its new intermediate-range ballistic missile could comfortably hit Guam and the hermit state also has successfully tested new anti-ship cruise missiles.
But it seems Kim Jong-Un’s next step is the development of an ICBM.  An editorial in state paper Rodong Sinmun said: “The series of recent strategic weapons tests show that we are not too far away from test-firing an intercontinental ballistic missile.” The shock claim indicates the regime has continued to advance its missile technology since it despot leader confirmed during his annual address that the state was in the final stage of developing the technology.

Iran sends warships to Oman amid Gulf tensions
JUNE 11, 2017
The Iranian Navy has dispatched a flotilla on a mission to Oman, local media report, and will enter international waters. On Sunday, the 47th flotilla, comprised of an Alborz destroyer and Bushehr logistic warship, set sail from the southern port city of Bandar Abbas after a ceremony attended by naval commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, Tasnim News reports. From Oman, the ships will head to the Gulf of Aden and international waters north of the Indian
Ocean.  At the same time, the 46th flotilla made up of a Sabalan destroyer and Lavan logistic warship, is due to return to Iran on Sunday after completing a two-month mission to secure naval routes and protect merchant vessels and oil tankers in the Gulf of Aden. The Iranian Navy has been conducting patrols of the region since November 2008 as part of international anti-piracy efforts.  “Today, there is some controlled insecurity in the Gulf of Aden and we have been able to escort over 4,000 oil tankers and cargo ships to the safe regions without any disruption in our plans for oil and non-oil exports and imports,” Admiral Sayyari told Fars News Agency on Sunday.

Kim Jong-Un Claims he can blow up US battleships ‘whenever he wants’
JUNE 9, 2017
A cackling Kim Jong-un has been pictured celebrating his latest missile test as he declared the new rockets capable of striking US warships “at will”.  The missiles are the fourth new system the hermit state has tested this year, sending a defiant message that it will continue to pursue a weapons program that has rattled Washington.  Photos taken from what
state new agencies claimed was the test launch showed Kim Jong-un wearing a white shirt and grinning while surrounded by lackeys.  Another photo showed a huge crowd of soldiers cheering next to the surface-to-air missile launcher.  The North’s official Korean Central News Agency said: “This new-type cruise rocket is a powerful attack means capable of striking any enemy group of battleships”, adding it can be used “at will”.

North Korea Dreams of Turning Out the Lights for America!
JUNE 9, 2017
Conventional wisdom holds that it will be years before North Korea can credibly threaten the United States with a nuclear attack. Kim Jong Un’s scientists are still testing only low-yield nuclear weapons, the thinking goes, and have yet to place them on ballistic missiles capable of reaching America’s West Coast.  While its technological shortcomings have been well
documented, North Korea’s desire to provoke a nuclear conflict with the U.S. should not be minimized or ignored. Pyongyang is surely close to getting it right. For South Korea the danger is more immediate. According to physicist David Albright, the founder and president of the Institute for Science and International Security, the North Koreans have between 13 and 30 nuclear weapons and can build as many as five more every year.

China is creating a gigantic warship unlike anything the world has ever seen
JUNE 5, 2017
The Chinese government is reportedly working to develop a revolutionary new warship that would merge the size and strength of large conventional ships with the ability to submerge underwater.  In an article for Popular Science, Jeffrey Lin and P.W. Singer wrote there are reports “circulating on Chinese websites—including the Wuhan city government site—
mention that Chinese institutions are conducting studies on gigantic submersible arsenal ships.”According to Lin and Singer, there are two different concepts being developed. One is for a large, high-speed warship with a mostly-submerged hull. The second is for a warship that would be almost completely submerged. Both designs involve ships that would displace about 20,000 tons.

Russia Conflict With NATO and U.S. Would Immediately Result in Nuclear War
JUNE 5, 2017
A veteran Russian politician has suggested that Moscow could resort to nuclear arms to defend the nation if forces led by the U.S. or NATO moved against the Crimean Peninsula or eastern Ukraine.  Vyacheslav Alekseyevich Nikonov, a member of Russia’s lower house of parliament and a political scientist involved with Russian politics since the 1970s, told attendees of the 2017 GLOBSEC Bratislava Global Security Forum in Slovakia on Sunday that Russian forces would need to utilize
some form of nuclear warfare to deter U.S. or NATO forces from invading Russia should they decide to enter Crimea or eastern Ukraine. Russia annexed Crimea during a 2014 political upheaval in Ukraine, claiming the unrest threatened Moscow’s interests and the large ethnic Russian community in Crimea. Since then, Russia’s control of Crimea and support for separatist militants in neighboring eastern Ukraine have angered Washington and its NATO allies.

RUMORS OF WAR: North Korea holds Mock Attack and practices sinking aircraft carriers
JUNE 6, 2017
North Korea has sparked fears of a global conflict by holding a mock attack on aircraft carriers.  This practice battle comes as tension continues to rise in the region amid an ever-tightening spiral of threat and counter-threat.  Kim Jong-un’s army conducted the exercise after Donald Trump sent a message to the pot-bellied despot by sending a US strike force to the
peninsula.  North Korean propaganda newspaper reported a successful drill that they said would send alarm bells ringing in Seoul, Washington, and Tokyo.  One propaganda rag quoted one of Kim’s air force commanders, who said the drill was “an important test [for] the destruction in a single blow”.  In late April North Korea held another military drill including 400 guns.

Japan Holds Evacuation Drill Amid Tension From North Korea
JUNE 4, 2017
A town in western Japan conducted an evacuation drill Sunday amid rising fear that a North Korean ballistic missile could hit Japanese soil.  More than 280 residents and schoolchildren from Abu, a small town with a population of just over 3,400 on Japan’s northwestern coast, rushed to designated school buildings to seek shelter after sirens from loudspeakers
warned them of a possible missile flight and debris falling on them.  The drill follows three consecutive weeks of North Korean missile tests. Last week, a missile splashed into the sea inside Japan’s 200-mile exclusive economic zone off the country’s western coast.

Russia says North Korea’s nukes are a ‘direct threat’
JUNE 4, 2017
A top Russian official said Sunday at a security conference in Singapore that North Korea’s nuclear ambitions are a “direct threat to Russia.”  Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin told defense ministers and experts from 39 countries that Pyongyang’s missile defense system “has a real function.” “That is why it is alarming. And it is direct threat
to Russia. We are convinced that it will increase the tensions of the region. That is our principle position,” he said. Once considered a strong ally, Russia has backed fresh sanctions against North Korea. In early June, Russia’s deputy U.N. Ambassador Vladimir Safronkov reaffirmed this commitment, “the choice here has to be made in favor of using diplomatic tools to the maximum extent possible.”

Defiant North Korea claims ‘We will not flinch from building up nuclear force’
JUNE 5, 2017
North Korea has denounced the latest round of sanctions placed on it by the UN Security Council as a “hostile act,” and will continue developing its nuclear arsenal at a rapid pace, a foreign ministry spokesman said.  The UN Security Council unanimously adopted a resolution expanding sanctions on the isolated Asian country on Friday, adding 18 individuals and
organizations linked to the North Korean government to an ever-growing blacklist.  But the North Korean government denounced these latest sanctions as “a crafty hostile act with the purpose of putting a curb on the DPRK’s [Democratic People’s Republic of Korea] buildup of nuclear forces, disarming it and causing economic suffocation to it,” Reuters quoted the foreign ministry spokesman as saying on Sunday, in a statement carried by the official KCNA news agency.

U.S. Missile Intercept a Success. Now What?
JUNE 1, 2017
Defense officials are taking a victory lap after successfully shooting down a mock ballistic missile over the Pacific Ocean this week. It was the first live-fire intercept test of an intercontinental ballistic missile in history, a critical U.S. achievement coming at a critical time.  “It was phenomenal, historic, making our planet, our country safe from North
Korea. It’s the first time ever we shot down an ICBM missile,” Riki Ellison, founder of the Missile Defense Advocacy Alliance, said.  Ellison started his organization to support the United States’ defense program and make it safer for all Americans. He was invited to watch the launch in person.

Japanese and US militaries launch major joint drills amid growing N. Korea tensions
JUNE 1, 2017
The Japanese and US militaries have teamed up for a three-day exercise in the Sea of Japan, in a show of force just days after North Korea launched a ballistic missile which landed in Japan’s exclusive economic zone. The ‘USS Carl Vinson’ and ‘USS Ronald Reagan’ strike groups have joined Japanese destroyers ‘Hyuga’ and ‘Ashigara’ for the exercise. In a post on its Facebook page, the US 7th Fleet described the drills as “routine training.” “The Ronald Reagan and Carl Vinson Strike
Groups were joined by the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Forces (JMSDF) for routine training to improve interoperability and readiness in the Indo-Asia Pacific,” it wrote.  The Japanese military confirmed in a release that its destroyers had joined the US vessels, according to Reuters.  “It’s the first time we have exercised with two carriers. It’s a major exercise for us,” a Japanese military spokesman said, according to the news outlet. Meanwhile, Japanese Air Self-Defense Force F-15s are taking part in simulated combat with US Navy F-18 fighters at the same time, according to the Japanese military.

PROPHECY WATCH: Russia ready to supply S-400 missile systems to Turkey
JUNE 1, 2017
Russia is ready to sell its S-400 air defense systems to Turkey, President Vladimir Putin said at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). He added the issue was discussed earlier with his Turkish counterpart.  “We discussed the possibility of selling S-400s [to Turkey]. We are ready for this,” Putin said in answer to a question from a
Turkish media reporter.  Speaking about cooperation between Moscow and Ankara in assembling the defense systems in Turkey, he said it depends on the readiness of local manufacturing industry. “At the moment, we don’t produce those systems abroad,” Putin added.  “We are ready to deliver these newest and most efficient systems. President [Recep Tayip] Erdogan and our countries’ militaries are aware of it.”

Russian frigate & submarine fire 4 cruise missiles at ISIS targets near Palmyra
MAY 31, 2017
The missiles destroyed heavy equipment and killed fighters that Islamic State had transferred from its stronghold, Raqqa, to Palmyra, the Russian Defense Ministry has said.  The Russian warships, a frigate named Admiral Essen and submarine named Krasnodar, fired Kalibr cruise missiles on combat vehicles and militants outside the Syrian city of Palmyra, the Defense Ministry said.   The four cruise missiles were fired from the eastern Mediterranean, it noted in a statement. The
submarine fired its missiles while submerged.  According to the MoD, “[the ships] targeted an area east of Palmyra, where the militants’ heavy weaponry and manpower were located. The militants moved there from Raqqa. All targets have been destroyed,” it said.  The US, Turkish, and Israeli militaries received an appropriate warning in advance of the missile launches through active hotlines, the Defense Ministry added.

Russia Just Successfully Tested An Unstoppable 4,600mph Hypersonic Weapon!
MAY 31, 2017
Russia has launched five successful flights of a hypersonic jet that is capable of destroying an aircraft carrier with a single impact, according to a new report.  The Zircon cruise missile travels between 3,800mph and 4,600mph – five to six times the speed of sound – and puts Russia ‘half a decade’ ahead of the US’, the report says. This makes it faster than any anti-

missile system, including those that are expected to appear in the next two decades.  Russian military analyst Vladimir Tuchkov said: ‘In Russia, the testing of actual weapons is already underway.  ‘It is expected to be added into Russia’s arsenal between 2018 and 2020’, he told state media outlet Sputnik.  ‘A speed of Mach 6 is more than enough of a guarantee to overcome any anti-missile system’, he said.

UPDATE: US Successfully Shoots Down Mock Warhead Over Pacific
MAY 31, 2017
The Pentagon successfully tested a U.S. long-range interceptor missile over the Pacific Ocean on Tuesday in an exercise aimed at helping gauge American readiness to counter a potential threat from North Korea. During the test, the Pentagon’s Missile Defense Agency launched an interceptor rocket from an underground silo at Vandenberg Air Force
Base in California. The interceptor hit and destroyed an intercontinental-range missile fired from a test site on Kwajalein Atoll in the Pacific, the Pentagon announced. U.S. Missile Defense Agency Director Vice Adm. Jim Syring called the test a “critical milestone” in a statement. “This system is vitally important to the defense of our homeland, and this test demonstrates that we have a capable, credible deterrent against a very real threat.

DEVELOPING: Preparations being made for test of ICBM intercept and ‘upgraded kill vehicle’
MAY 30, 2017
For the first time in nearly three years, the ground-based missile defense system will attempt to hit a mock target during a test involving a launch from Vandenberg Air Force Base.  The Missile Defense Agency plans to conduct the test Tuesday, with the ground-based interceptor blasting out of an underground silo at Vandenberg between noon and 4:14 p.m. in an attempt to intercept the target, which is set to lift off from the Kwajalein Atoll.  The intended collision will occur somewhere above the Pacific Ocean and will not be visible from the Central Coast.
The test involves the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense Segment, designed for a limited attack against the United States involving intermediate- and long-range ballistic missiles fired by rogue nations such as North Korea or Iran. The system includes communication networks and sensors to support the ground-based interceptors sitting on alert at Vandenberg and Fort Greely, Alaska.

Preparing for War? Russia to upgrade rocket artillery by 2020 as tensions with NATO rise
MAY 31, 2017
Russia has revealed it will upgrade its rocket artillery brigades by 2020 as tensions with NATO increase. The announcement was made by Russian Missile Troops and Artillery commander General Mikhail Matveyevsky who said Moscow’s Tornado-S multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) will be replaced with the Smerch systems.
He said: “The rearmament of all missile brigades to modern Iskander-M missile systems and rocket artillery brigades to large-calibre Tornado-S multiple launch rocket systems will be completed.” The new Tornado-S system is a lighter version of Smerch and easier to mobilise but there is a slight reduction of firepower. The new system also uses the same GLONASS satellite navigation system.

North Korea ‘developing Carrier Killers’ as US prepares to send Third warship to peninsula
MAY 31, 2017
North Korea is planning to develop a missile capable of downing an aircraft carrier as the US prepares to send it’s third warship to the Korean peninsula, it has been claimed.  Despot Kim Jong-un personally supervised the test of a new ballistic missile controlled by a precision guidance system on Monday, and threatened President Donald Trump as he pledged to send “a bigger gift package to the Yankees”.
It differed from previous tests of the “Hwasong” rockets – North Korea‘s name for its Scud-class missiles – as it was equipped with an advanced automated pre-launch sequence that landed within seven meters of its target off the east coast, the KCNA agency claimed.  Pyongyang is using the test launch as a warning to the US, which has two carriers – USS Carl Vinson and USS Ronald Reagan – currently operating in the Korean peninsula as a demonstration of American might. Arctic air base gets $40 million upgrade in face of increasing missile threats
MAY 31, 2017
For the first time ever, the Pentagon will try to shoot down an intercontinental-range missile Tuesday. The move is partly a response to North Korea, which has test-launched three missiles in the past three weeks. Its official news agency said Tuesday morning that dictator Kim Jong Un threatened, “to send a bigger gift package,” to the U.S.  A new Russian military base in the Arctic is also putting attention on the Pentagon’s northernmost base, located in Greenland, which was
originally built as a buffer during the Cold War.  Thule Air Base, 750 miles into the Arctic Circle, is not easy to reach or maintain. But the U.S. did just complete a significant upgrade for space and missile defense there, one of several early-warning systems getting upgraded worldwide, reports CBS News’ Jeff Glor who recently returned from a special tour of Thule.

North Korea warns of ‘Bigger Gift Package’ for U.S. after latest test
MAY 30, 2017
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un supervised the test of a new ballistic missile controlled by a precision guidance system and ordered the development of more powerful strategic weapons, the North’s official KCNA news agency reported on Tuesday. The missile launched on Monday was equipped with an advanced automated pre-launch sequence compared with previous versions of the “Hwasong” rockets, North Korea’s name for its Scud-class missiles, KCNA said. That
indicated the North had launched a modified Scud-class missile, as South Korea’s military has said. The North’s test launch of a short-range ballistic missile landed in the sea off its east coast and was the latest in a fast-paced series of missile tests defying international pressure and threats of more sanctions. Kim said the reclusive state would develop more powerful weapons in multiple phases in accordance with its timetable to defend North Korea against the United States.

MAY 30, 2017
World War 3 is becoming an increasingly alarming possibility as international conflict intensifies. These are the safest countries to hide out in.  Tensions are boiling over between many of the world’s most powerful nations.  North Korea has today fired a short-range ballistic missile towards Japan, according to South Korea’s military.  The launch of the Scud missile at 7.30am local time is the country’s ninth missile test this year and follows a series of test-launches in recent weeks.
It’s the latest move to stoke fears of a possible World War 3, with the United States and Russia among the nations involved.   Listpedia has rounded up the top five safest countries in the event of another world war.   The YouTube video – viewed more than 1.3 million times – weighs into the geographical and political reasons why these nations are the safe havens of the globe.

Israel conducts ‘experimental’ rocket test over heart of the country
MAY 29, 2017
The Defense Ministry said Monday that it conducted a successful experimental test of its rocket propulsion system from a military base located in the center of Israel.  Images shared on social media showed a projectile streaking through the sky. Israel has a multi-layered aerial defense system, which includes the Iron Dome, Arrow and David’s Sling, and missile system tests such as these are not uncommon. Rocket propulsion systems are designed to launch large systems such as

satellites, ballistic missiles and large ground to air missiles. The launching, conducted in the early morning hours, was planned in advance and carried out as planned. There was no comment on whether or not the test was successful nor what system was tested but some speculated that it may be the surface-to-surface Jericho 3, an intercontinental ballistic missile which according to foreign reports can support a nuclear payload.

Hawaii finalizing plans to defend population from nuclear strike and radiation aftermath.
MAY 29, 2017
Hawaii is drawing up plans to protect its population from a North Korean nuclear strike and its radiated aftermath. Officials have produced a doomsday survival blueprint which reveals how seriously they are taking threats from tyrant Kim Jong-un about striking the US.  The nuclear contingency plans are described as “formidable and critical to the survival of our 1.4 million residents and visitors in the unlikely event of a nuclear detonation”.  This includes “reviewing
existing procedures for mass casualty and fatality management” and reviewing nuclear fallout shelters, sirens and other warning systems.  The doomsday plans come amid fears North Korean intercontinental ballistic missiles are on the verge of being able to reach American owned Hawaii.  Alaska and the west coast of America, including California which is the engine of the US economy, are also under threat. And bases in Japan are almost certainly in range.

RUMORS OF WAR: 3rd US Naval Strike Force Deployed to Deter North Korea
MAY 28, 2017
The United States is sending a third aircraft carrier strike force to the western Pacific region in an apparent warning to North Korea to deter its ballistic missile and nuclear programs, two sources have told VOA.  The USS Nimitz, one of the world’s largest warships, will join two other supercarriers, the USS Carl Vinson and the USS Ronald Reagan, in the western Pacific, the sources told VOA’s Steve Herman. The U.S. military has rarely simultaneously deployed three aircraft
carriers to the same region. But North Korea’s growing nuclear and missile threat is seen as a major security challenge for President Donald Trump, who has vowed to prevent the country from being able to strike the U.S. with a nuclear missile, a capability experts say Pyongyang could have some time after 2020. Sitting alongside Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Trump said Friday just before the start of Group of Seven (G-7) meetings in Sicily that G-7 leaders would have a “particular focus on the North Korea problem.”

Israel preparing partial evacuation in case of war with Lebanon
MAY 28, 2017
A senior Israeli military official told The Media Line that Israel has prepared a partial evacuation plan for areas close to the border with Lebanon in case of a renewed round of fighting with pro-Iranian Hezbollah guerrillas. He confirmed media reports that Hezbollah has more than 100,000 rockets that can cover all of Israel, but said “90 percent” of them are short-range rockets, with a range of about 28 miles.  “We know that (Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan) Nasrallah
wants to harm Israeli civilians and he is using psychological warfare against our citizens,” he said in an exclusive briefing with The Media Line. “But we also believe that Nasrallah is acting out of weakness because he has lost about 1500 fighters in Syria.”The condition of the briefing was that no identifying titles of the officer or where the briefing took place be published.  Hezbollah has been fighting on behalf of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in Syria for the past six years and is credited, along with Russia and Iran, for helping to turn the tide of the war in favor of Assad.

Pentagon Chief Warns that War with North Korea would be ‘catastrophic’
MAY 28, 2017
Defense Secretary James Mattis warned on Sunday that a war with North Korea would be “catastrophic,” and would place United States allies in the region at extreme risk.  “The North Korean regime has hundreds of artillery cannons and rocket launchers within range of one of the most densely populated cities on earth, which is the capital of South Korea,” Mattis said on CBS’s “Face the Nation.”  “This regime is a threat to the region, to Japan, to South Korea. And in the event of war, they would bring danger to China and to Russia as well,” he added.
“But the bottom line is it would be a catastrophic war if this turns into a combat if we’re not able to resolve this situation through diplomatic means.” Tensions rose between Washington and Pyongyang last month over the North’s rapidly advancing nuclear and missile programs, prompting the U.S. to move a Navy strike group into the west Pacific near the Korean Peninsula. North Korea denounced that maneuver as an act of aggression and threatened a strike on the U.S. if provoked.

Russian Lawmaker Warns, Russia Will Use Nukes if US or NATO Enters Crimea
MAY 28, 2017
Russia would be forced to use nuclear weapons in any conflict in which U.S. or NATO forces entered eastern Ukraine, a member of Russia’s parliament told an international gathering of government security officials on Sunday.  “On the issue of NATO expansion on our borders, at some point I heard from the Russian military — and I think they are right — If U.S. forces, NATO forces, are, were, in the Crimea, in eastern Ukraine, Russia is undefendable militarily in case of conflict
without using nuclear weapons in the early stage of the conflict,” Russian parliamentarian Vyacheslav Alekseyevich Nikonov told attendees at the GLOBSEC 2017 forum in Bratislava, Slovakia. Russian military leaders have discussed Moscow’s willingness to use nuclear weapons in a conflict with military leaders in NATO, as part of broader and increasingly contentious conversations about the alliance’s expansion, Nikonov later told Defense One.

North Korea Fires short-range ballistic missile flies 450 km, lands in Sea of Japan
MAY 28, 2017
North Korea has launched an unidentified projectile which appears to be a short-range ballistic missile, Yonhap news reports, citing South Korea’s military.  South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said Pyongyang launched a projectile in the eastern direction from Wonsan, Gangwon Province at dawn.  “It is estimated to be a Scud type [missile],” JCS said, adding, that the projectile flew about 450 kilometers.
“The president was immediately notified of the situation, and the president ordered the NSC Standing Committee at 7:30 am,” the military statement said. The missile was tracked for six minutes, US Pacific Command said, confirming that the projectile landed in the Sea of Japan. The US military said the missile did not pose a threat to North America. US President Donald Trump has also been briefed about the launch, according to a White House official.

RAF fighter jets scrambled to Scotland as Russian aircraft approach UK airspace
MAY 27, 2017
RAF fighter jets were scrambled to the north of Scotland this morning after Russian aircraft entered UK airspace, the MOD has confirmed.  Royal Air Force Typhoons took off from the Lossiemouth airbase, north east Scotland, on a Quick Alert Response (QRA).  An RAF Airbus Voyager KC3 tanker was also scrambled from Brize Norton airbase in Oxfordshire. The Quick Reaction Alert, or QRA, is the RAF’s state of readiness where fighter jets can be scrambled within minutes to
meet or intercept aircraft which give cause for concern.  A statement by the Ministry of Defence said: “Two Typhoons were scrambled from RAF Lossiemouth this morning as part of the RAF’s Quick Reaction Alert in response to two Russian aircraft entering the UK’s airspace.  “Both aircraft have now returned safely to RAF Lossiemouth.”  An MoD spokesman said the Russian jets did not actually enter UK airspace, but had travelled into an “area of interest” very close by.

North Korea Satellites ‘In Ideal Position’ For EMP Attack…
MAY 28, 2017
There are growing concerns among US politicians that the North Koreans have the capability to launch a devastating EMP attack that would wipe out the American financial system and transport network.  North Korea has satellites perfectly positioned above the US that could be used to launch an unprecedented attack on the country. Kim Jong-Un’s recent
belligerence escalated in the past week after he tested the country’s first solid-fuel missile – which would be launched with little warning.  The communist dictatorship also has two satellites positioned in an “ideal altitude” above the US to cause irreparable damage to the country’s financial system.  According to a Fox News report, politicians in the US are alarmed by the growing threat of a high-altitude nuclear blast and its resultant electromagnetic pulse.

Russia warns citizens against travelling to Britain in fears of more terrorism
MAY 26, 2017
Russia has warned its citizens against visiting Britain due to the threat of “inevitable” new terrorist attacks.  Vladimir Putin’s government issued the travel advice after the UK raised its threat level to “critical” – the maximum possible – following the killing of 22 in this week’s Manchester bombing.   But the Russians also suggested that the “growing influence of Islamic radicalism” among Muslim groups in British cities was a factor in a rising terrorist threat, and Theresa
May’s decision to call in the army showed a “very serious situation”.  “The Russian embassy in Great Britain recommends Russian citizens refrain from travelling to the country, especially from visiting major cities, if such trips are not absolutely necessary,” said the country’s state tourism agency.  “This is due to the fact that the government of Great Britain has raised the level of the terrorist threat in the country to the maximum possible.”

Chinese jets come within several hundred feet of US plane over South China Sea
MAY 26, 2017
Two Chinese J-10 fighter jets came within several hundred feet of a U.S. Navy P-3 Orion over the South China Sea on Thursday local time, U.S. officials said.  The fighters flew 200 yards in front of the P-3 maritime surveillance aircraft with an altitude separation of 100 feet, an encounter the commander of the U.S. aircraft determined as “unsafe and unprofessional,” U.S. officials said.
According to a U.S. official, the Chinese jets were weaving ahead of the American plane, an action that concerned the U.S. pilot.  The activity occurred 150 miles southeast of Hainan Island in the northern part of the South China Sea. A U.S. official said the U.S. plans to address the incident with China through diplomatic and military channels.

terror plot to detonate a car bomb’ in London
MAY 27, 2017
Three men appeared in court charged over an alleged “mass murder” plot to detonate a car bomb in central London. The suspected scheme, said to have been foiled by police and MI5, was allegedly inspired by Westminster killer Khalid Masood.   Police fear possible targets included Parliament, Tower Bridge, Westfield shopping centre, Heathrow Airport, the MI5 and MI6 buildings and the BBC.  Gay nightclubs, the Queen’s Guards, embassies including the Russian, US and

Chinese missions, plus City banks and a Freemasons’ Lodge were also thought to be at risk.  Umar Ahmed Haque, 24, who faced Westminster JPs, is alleged to have told an accomplice the UK public deserve to be annihilated. Officers believe the primary target was Westminster Bridge where Masood, 52, killed four people with a car in March before fatally knifing PC Keith Palmer inside the grounds of Parliament.

US Plans First Test Of ICBM Intercept as Tensions Rise with North Korea
MAY 26, 2017
Preparing for North Korea’s growing threat, the Pentagon will try to shoot down an intercontinental-range missile for the first time in a test next week. The goal is to more closely simulate a North Korean ICBM aimed at the U.S. homeland, officials said Friday . The American interceptor has a spotty track record, succeeding in nine of 17 attempts since 1999.
The most recent test, in June 2014, was a success, but that followed three straight failures. The system has evolved from the multibillion-dollar effort triggered by President Ronald Reagan’s 1983 push for a “Star Wars” solution to ballistic missile threats during the Cold War – when the Soviet Union was the only major worry.North Korea is now the focus of U.S. efforts because its leader, Kim Jong Un, has vowed to field a nuclear-armed missile capable of reaching American territory.

North Korean Nuclear Threat ‘Inevitable’ if left Unchecked
MAY 25, 2017
North Korea will eventually obtain a nuclear weapon capable of hitting the United States if left unchecked, a top US intelligence official said.  “If left on its current trajectory, the regime will ultimately succeed in fielding a nuclear-armed missile capable of threatening the United States homeland,” said Lt. Gen. Vincent Stewart, the director of the Defense Intelligence Agency. “While nearly impossible to predict when this capability will be operational, the North Korean regime
is committed and is on a pathway where this capability is inevitable.”  The only hurdle left, Stewart said in a hearing before the Senate Armed Services Committee on Tuesday, is finding a way for its ballistic missile to re-enter the atmosphere. Perfecting re-entry is “really a matter of enough trial and error to make that work,” Stewart said. “They understand the physics, so it’s just a matter of design.”

RUMORS OF WAR: US attack on North Korea imminent?
MAY 25, 2017
The US is preparing to attack North Korea, according to Geopolitical Futures founder George Friedman — setting the stage for a difficult, messy war with potentially catastrophic consequences.  Speaking Monday to a rapt audience at the 2017 Strategic Investment Conference in Orlando, Friedman said that while it was unlikely the US would take action
before President Donald Trump returns home at the weekend, North Korea’s actions appeared to have “offered the US no alternative” to a clash.  According to Geopolitical Futures analysis, evidence is mounting that the enmity between the two is escalating to a point where war is inevitable.  Friedman said that on May 20, the USS Carl Vinson supercarrier and USS Ronald Reagan were both within striking distance of North Korea.

New ISIS video shows Las Vegas landmarks
MAY 25, 2017
Following the Manchester bombing, a new video has been released by ISIS that calls for even more attacks and Las Vegas could be a target.  In the propaganda video, some famous landmarks in Las Vegas can be seen – such as hotels and casinos – making the city a potential target of terror.  Terrorism expert Christopher Caruthers told KVVU-TV that the people of Las Vegas should still feel safe, because he believes the video is just a scare tactic.  The Las Vegas division of the FBI agreed with Caruthers and released a statement.  “The FBI Routinely shares information with our state, local, & federal law enforcement, intelligence and homeland security partners in order to keep our citizens safe,” the statement said.

Trump Says He Prayed for Wisdom From God While Touching Western Wall
MAY 23, 2017
President Donald Trump reportedly prayed to have God’s wisdom as he touched the Western Wall in the Old City of Jerusalem Monday.  Johnnie Moore, a member of Trump’s evangelical advisory board and one of the leading candidates to be the U.S. ambassador for Religious Freedom, tweeted a quote from Trump: “I visited the Western

Wall, & marveled at the monument to God’s presence…my hand upon the wall and to pray…for wisdom from God.”Trump is the first American president to visit Judaism’s holiest site while in office. Prior to going the Western Wall, he visited one of Christianity’s most sacred sites, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, which some believe is the place where Jesus was crucified. The trip to Jerusalem was the second stop on Trump’s first international trip as president.

Philippines President Duterte declares martial law on Mindanao island
MAY 23, 2017
Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has declared martial law for 60 days on the island of Mindanao, after clashes between the army and militants linked to so-called Islamic State (IS).  The violence on the southern island left three members of the security forces dead, officials say.  Mindanao is home to a number of Muslim rebel groups seeking more
autonomy.  Mr Duterte made the announcement during a visit to Russia, which he was forced to cut short.  Martial law allows the use of the military to enforce law and the detention of people without charge for long periods. During his talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Mr Duterte also said the Philippines needed more modern weapons to fight IS militants and other militant groups.

China flexes muscle in spy games against US
MAY 23, 2017
A cartoon posted in a dusty alleyway in the heart of Beijing warns passersby not to fall prey to the charms of foreign men: they might be spies. It is a graphic reminder of a struggle usually waged in the shadows, and a sign of the Chinese government’s intensifying campaign against espionage.  The poster’s comic book tale of love gone wrong ends in tears and a stern warning.
But China’s real life spy games have had a darker denouement, according to a New York Times article Sunday alleging that authorities killed or jailed up to 20 people for spying on behalf of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). The counterintelligence operation took place between the end of 2010 and 2012, the Times said, an exceptionally sensitive period in Chinese domestic politics that saw the downfall of some of the country’s most prominent politicians amid a delicate leadership transition.

DEVELOPING: South Korea fires warning shots at flying object from North
By Ricky Scaparo on May 23, 2017 12:20 pm
MAY 23, 2017
South Korean troops fired warning shots at an “unidentified object” flying across the heavily fortified border from North Korea Tuesday afternoon, the South’s military announced.  The military detected the object traversing the Military Demarcation Line (MDL) southward in the Chorwon area in the eastern province of Gangwon at around 4 p.m., according to the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS).
It added the South’s military fired warning shots along with dispatching a warning broadcast. A defense source said the military fired more than 90 K-3 machine gun rounds, adding it may have been a drone. The South’s military is analyzing the object and its route and has beefed up its air defense posture, said the JCS. The incident added to already-high tensions between the Koreas following the North’s continued ballistic missile launches.

North Korea attack drones carrying biological, chemical weapons can strike Seoul within 1 hour
MAY 24, 2017
North Korea’s military has 300 to 400 attack drones capable of carrying biological and chemical weapons that could reach the South Korean capital of Seoul within one hour, according to a high-level defector from the isolated regime ruling Pyongyang.  The claim from a 42-year-old former third secretary who fled Kim Jong-un’s regime in 2015 coincides with heightened international concern over a different threat from North Korea: mobile, medium- to long-range missiles that Pyongyang has tested with increasing frequency.
After successfully launching one of the solid-fuel missiles Sunday, North Korean leaders said they are ready to begin deploying and mass-producing the Pukgukson-2 projectiles, which Pyongyang says are capable of reaching major U.S. military bases in Japan.  The Sunday launch was the latest of more than 70 North Korean missile tests since 2009, resulting in a U.S. and regional focus on countering the ballistic missiles.

Intercessors, Arise—The Magog Invasion May Be Closer Than You Think
MAY 23, 2017
(By Dave Williams) The award-winning singer and songwriter Stephen Marshall said something to me years ago that has stuck in my mind. He said, “A 150-watt light bulb can light a room, but a 150-watt laser can cut through 1½ inches of steel.”  That is the power of focus. Both the light bulb and the laser use the same amount of energy, but the focused laser can rip through steel strongholds. The same is true in prayer. Unfocused prayer may light you up, but focused prayer will split and help demolish spiritual strongholds and enemy bastions in our nation.
This is—right now—the most critical hour to focus on intercession for our country and the world. The stage is being set in Europe, the Middle East and other parts of the world for prophetic events that may soon transpire on the earth according to biblical prophecies. The situations today in North Korea, Syria, Iran and Turkey scream out to intercessors, calling them to their duty stations.

North Korea now ready to ‘Mass Produce’ War-Ready Nukes which can strike US targets
MAY 22, 2017
North Korea boasts it’s now ready to deploy and start mass-producing new medium-range nuclear missiles capable of reaching Japan and major US military bases.  The threat comes after the rogue state carried out another controversial missile launch over the weekend which it claims confirmed their missiles are ready for war.  The solid-fuel Pukguksong-2
missile flew about 300 miles on Sunday, reaching a height of 350 miles, before plunging into the Pacific Ocean off Japan North Korea’s media said more missiles will be launched in the near future. Trump, travelling in Saudi Arabia, had no immediate public comment. North Korean leader Kim Jong-un ordered the launch and watched from an observation post, state media reported today.

New Evidence Reveals ISIS Performed ‘Nazi-style’ Experiments
MAY 22, 2017
ISIS has tested deadly poisons on prisoners in Nazi-style experiments in a bid to develop chemical weapons which could be used to contaminate Britain’s food supplies.  A cache of documents record the death cult’s use of “human guinea pigs” who died testing at least two chemical agents, reports The Times.   The papers were found hidden at Mosul University by
Iraqi special forces after it was recaptured from the retreating jihadists. British and US forces have verified the records as bona fide Isis papers. They document experiments on prisoners using pesticides and nicotine. The nightmarish scenario is reminiscent of trials conducted by evil Nazi doctor Josef Mengele on concentration camp inmates during World War 2.

MAY 21, 2017
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has approved the deployment of a new intermediate-range ballistic missile for combat use as the country succeeded in test-firing it, Pyongyang’s state media said Monday.  North Korea’s leader observed the launch of the new ground-to-ground Pukguksong-2 missile, according to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
North Korea fired the missile from the vicinity of Pukchang in the country’s western province on Sunday, a week after it test-fired another new intermediate-range ballistic missile, called the Hwasong-12.  The North’s leader approved the deployment of the Pukguksong-2 for action, calling it a “successful strategic weapon,” the KCNA said.

North Korea missile passes re-entry test in breakthrough for nuclear program
MAY 21, 2017
The ballistic missile launched by North Korea on May 14 successfully re-entered the Earth’s atmosphere, according to analysts, a significant breakthrough for Pyongyang’s missile program.  Defence officials in South Korea and the US have confirmed that the launch of the liquid- fuel Hwasong-12 was a success.  North Korea claimed that the weapon reached an
altitude of 2,111.5 km (1,312 miles) and traveled a distance of 489 miles before breaching Japan’s Air Defence Identification Zone and splashing down in the Sea of Japan. The missile took a steep parabolic route that tested its ability to survive re-entry into the atmosphere, with North Korean state media reporting that the missile – capable of carrying a “large-size, heavy nuclear warhead” to a target on the US mainland – had come through “the worst re-entry situation” and struck its intended target.

BREAKING NEWS: North Korea fires Ballistic Missile
MAY 21, 2017
North Korea fired an unidentified ballistic missile from an area near Pukchang, according to the South Korean military’s Joint Chiefs of Staff.  The missile flew east about 500 km (over 300 miles), South Korean officials said. “Our military is closely monitoring North Korea and is maintaining readiness posture,” the statement said.
It seems to have fallen into the Sea of Japan, also known as the East Sea, but not within Japan’s exclusive economic zone, Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga said in a press briefing. Authorities have not received any reports of damage on ships or planes, Suga said. A White House official said the projectile was a medium-range ballistic missile, a system that North Korea tested in February.

RUMORS OF WAR: US Warns Kim Jong-Un Military Conflict Would Be Devastating
MAY 19, 2017
North Korea has been warned US military intervention would be “tragic on an unbelievable scale” amid fears of WW3. As tensions escalate on the Korean peninsula, Washington insists it will work with the UN, Japan, China and South Korea to reach a solution.  But US Defence Secretary Jim Mattis refused to rule out a military solution.  North Korea launched its
latest missile test on Saturday in defiance of international sanctions as the UN Security Council demanded Pyongyang halt all ballistic missile tests.  Talks continue to gather pace amid fears Kim Jong-un will carry out a sixth nuclear tests imminently.  North Korea has vowed to develop a missile mounted with a nuclear warhead that can strike the mainland United States, saying the programme is necessary to counter US aggression.

Russia attempted to take over Pentagon Twitter account
MAY 19, 2017
Russia tried to gain access to the Twitter accounts of Defense Department officials using messages carrying malware, according to Time magazine.  Russia is said to have sent messages to over 10,000 Pentagon Twitter users, tailored to their interests, baiting them to click on links to stories. Clicking on the link would enable Russian hackers to
gain control of the target’s mobile device or computer and, as a result, his or her Twitter account. According to Time, Russia’s attempts were disclosed in a March report to U.S. counterintelligence officials investigating Russian interference efforts in the 2016 presidential election.  It is unclear whether any devices or Twitter accounts were compromised in the hacking efforts. The report indicates that the attempts were made after the election.

Russia’s ‘Killer Satellites’ Re-Awaken
MAY 19, 2017
A trio of mysterious Russian government satellites startled space experts when, shortly after blasting into low orbit between 2013 and 2015, they began dramatically changing their orbits, demonstrating a rare degree of maneuverability for small spacecraft.  Now after being idle for a year or more, two of the mystery-sats are on the move again. On April 20, 2017, one of them reportedly shaved hundreds of meters off its orbit in order to zoom within 1,200 meters of a big chunk of a defunct Chinese weather satellite that China smashed in a controversial 2007 test of an anti-satellite rocket.
By orbital standards, that’s pretty close.  The Russian spacecrafts’ impressive maneuvers have got observers scratching their heads. No one outside of the Russian government — and probably the U.S. military — seems to know for sure what the satellites are for.  Experts say the Russian satellites could be technology-demonstrators. They might also be precursors to orbital weapons.

Russian Foreign Ministry Deems US-led coalition strike against Syrian forces ‘Absolutely Unacceptable’
MAY 19, 2017
The US-led coalition strike on a pro-government convoy in Syria is unacceptable and violates the sovereignty of the country, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov said. “Any military actions leading to the aggravation of the situation in Syria definitely affect the political process. Especially if such actions are committed against the Syrian armed forces… This is totally unacceptable; it is a violation of Syrian sovereignty. Of course, it does not help the political process,”
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov stated on Friday.  Damascus said on Friday that the Thursday strike hit a Syrian Army position on Al-Tanf road in the Syrian desert “which led to casualties and material damage,” Sana reports. The US-led coalition airstrike on pro-government forces in Syria was called “aggression” and “government terrorism” by Syria’s ambassador to the UN and the government’s chief negotiator at the Geneva talks, Bashar al-Jaafari.

Two Chinese military aircraft intercept U.S. plane…
MAY 19, 2017
Two Chinese fighter jets intercepted a U.S. “sniffer” plane over the East China Sea, two U.S. military officials told NBC News on Thursday. The WC-135 Constant Phoenix aircraft, which “sniffs” the atmosphere for signs of nuclear activity, was conducting a routine mission Wednesday in international airspace over the East China Sea when two Sukhoi Su-30 fighter aircraft intercepted it, the officials said.
The officials wouldn’t say whether the confrontation was considered unsafe, but they said the crew of the U.S. plane described it as “unprofessional.” The U.S. plane was operating in accordance with international law, they said. Officials said the matter was being addressed with China through “appropriate diplomatic channels.”

US prepares for drills with TWO giant aircraft carriers on Kim Jong-un’s doorstep
MAY 19, 2017
US forces have deployed another massive aircraft carrier to the Korean peninsula to front up against tyrant Kim Jong-un. USS Ronald Reagan, which holds 4,500 crew and dozens of planes, will join up with USS Carl Vinson to carry out war drills in the hugely tense region. Today’s announcement by the US Pacific Fleet comes after unhinged Kim told his enslaved people to prepare themselves for cruise missile strikes from “imperialist” America.
The aircraft carriers are riddled with deadly jets capable of carrying out precise but catastrophic strikes. It is not routine for two aircraft carriers to be deployed to a specific theatre — a sign of the unprecedented tensions. “USS Carl Vinson and USS Ronald Reagan are in the Western Pacific, but they are not in close proximity to each other,” a US Navy spokesman said. After sailing from its home port in Japan, the Reagan is expected to reach the area by the end of this month.

Donald Trump will have just 10 Minutes to react if North Korea fires nuclear missile
MAY 18, 2017
Donald Trump will have just ten minutes to react if North Korea fires a long-range missile towards the US mainland, experts have warned. Scientists insist North Korea is not yet fully capable of launching a missile that could successfully travel the 5,500-mile distance, but the hermit kingdom’s nuclear development program is coming along much faster than was previously anticipated.
But if North Korea continues to develop its nuclear missile technology US President Donald Trump could be given just 10 minutes to decide whether he should launch a retaliatory strike, according to experts.  North Korea has made no secret of its work to develop a nuclear-tipped missile capable of striking the US and has ignored calls to halt its nuclear and missile programs in defiance of UN sanctions.

Shadow Brokers launches monthly subscription service offering nuclear, banking secrets
MAY 17, 2017
The Shadow Brokers hacking group is pushing a monthly subscription service offering members top secret information including “compromised network data” from the nuclear and ballistic missile programs of Russia, China, North Korea and Iran. The group’s monthly data dump could also include hacking exploits for web browsers, routers, and operating systems including Windows 10.
“TheShadowBrokers Data Dump of the Month” is a new monthly subscription model, the group said. Payment will likely be made in the cryptocurrency Bitcoin given the group’s ransom demands in previous cyber attacks. The group also promised to include compromised financial data from the SWIFT international payment order system, used by banks to transfer trillions of dollars each day, as well as confidential data from several central banks.

RUMORS OF WAR: South Korea Warns of ‘High Possibility’ of conflict with North Korea
MAY 17, 2017
South Korean President Moon Jae-in said on Wednesday there was a “high possibility” of conflict with North Korea, which is pressing ahead with nuclear and missile programs it says it needs to counter U.S. aggression. The comments came hours after the South, which hosts 28,500 U.S. troops, said it wanted to reopen a channel of dialogue with North Korea as Moon
seeks a two-track policy, involving sanctions and dialogue, to try to rein in its neighbor. North Korea has made no secret of the fact that it is working to develop a nuclear-tipped missile capable of striking the U.S. mainland and has ignored calls to halt its nuclear and missile programs, even from China, its lone major ally.

Vladimir Putin says can prove Trump did not pass Russia secrets
MAY 17, 2017
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that U.S. President Donald Trump had not passed any secrets onto Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov during a meeting in Washington last week and that he could prove it.Speaking at
a news conference alongside Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni, Putin quipped that Lavrov had not passed what he said were the non-existent secrets onto him either. Putin said Russia was ready to hand a transcript of Trump’s meeting with Lavrov over to U.S. lawmakers if that would help reassure them.

Kim Jong-Un Vows to Keep Testing Missiles Despite Threats from White House
MAY 17, 2017
North Korea has vowed to continue secret underground nuclear explosions and ballistic missile tests as the sabre rattling hermit kingdom bolsters its military capability. Kim Jong-un’s state media told his citizens testing would continue despite threats and sanctions from three of the world’s greatest superpowers – the US, China and Russia. Earlier this week the
tyrannical despot tested an intermediate-range ballistic missile, which is believed to be capable of reaching US territory. The North’s Director of Asian Affairs Pak Jong-hak claimed the secretive state is attempting to bolster its defenses. He said: ”Until the US and its followers make the right choice we will further produce sophisticated and diversified nuclear weapons and striking means to push and prepare for necessary tests”.

Satellite Images Reveal NK Nuclear Missiles More Powerful Than World Feared And Can Hit US
MAY 17, 2017
Satellite images of Kim Jong-un’s main missile test site reveal North Korea’s weapons are far more powerful than first thought. And trigger-happy Kim could soon have long-range weapons capable of reaching Alaska and Hawaii. Careful analysis of North Korean tests sites, using images from Planet, reveal the regime has gradually been building up the size of its missiles.
Scorch marks in the ground show that it may now be testing the Hwasong-12 rocket – capable of flying 4,500miles. That would put the US military base at Guam, Hawaii and Alaska within range, reports Quartz.com. The detailed satellite images are so precise that a private plane believed to whizz Kim around the country to watch missile tests is clearly visible. And experts are not convinced a series of failed tests mean the programme is failing.

North Korea Cyber Sleeper Cells Prep War-Contingency..
MAY 17, 2017
They take legitimate jobs as software programmers in the neighbors of their home country, North Korea. When the instructions from Pyongyang come for a hacking assault, they are believed to split into groups of three or six, moving around to avoid detection. Since the 1980s, the reclusive North has been known to train cadres of digital soldiers to
engage in electronic warfare and profiteering exploits against its perceived enemies, most notably South Korea and the United States. In recent years, cybersecurity experts say, the North Koreans have spread these agents across the border into China and other Asian countries to help cloak their identities. The strategy also amounts to war-contingency planning in case the homeland is attacked. Now, this force of North Korean hacker sleeper cells is under new scrutiny in connection with the ransomware assaults that have roiled much of the world over the past four days.

North Korea-US End Times Bible Prophecy, Nuclear Destruction Fears: Should Christians Despair?
MAY 16, 2017
With the recent escalation of tensions between the United States and North Korea, discussions have stirred about how it fits into biblical prophecy and whether these developments should be a cause for concern about the End Times. Pastor Greg Laurie of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California, expressed his concerns earlier in May over America being potentially destroyed in a nuclear war with North Korea, given that both countries are missing from the events
prophesied in Revelation, the final book of the Bible. Some theologians, however, such as Dr. Samuel Lamerson, professor of New Testament and president of Florida’s Knox Theological Seminary, told The Christian Post on Monday that such fears are unfounded. “I don’t see any reason to despair because one cannot find the U.S. in the book of Revelation,” Lamerson told CP. “Biblical prophecy is often very difficult to understand. In many cases one needs the fulfillment in order to understand the prophecy.

China creating massive ‘Orwellian’ DNA database…
MAY 16, 2017
In the name of safeguarding its 1.4 billion people, China has been collecting biometric information from millions of people whom it deems potential threats—among them, Uyghurs, migrant workers, and college students—as part of national DNA database. China’s Ministry of Public Security, which oversees the database, has amassed information for more than 40
million people—the country says it has the world’s biggest database of DNA information (link in Chinese)—as of 2015, according to a report published by Human Rights Watch (HRW) Monday (May 15). For comparison, in the US, the FBI’s national DNA index has 12.7 million offender profiles. “Mass DNA collection by the powerful Chinese police absent effective privacy protections or an independent judicial system is a perfect storm for abuses,”said Sophie Richardson, China director at HRW. “China is moving its Orwellian system to the genetic level.”

UNSC threatens North Korea with sanctions, Says launches must stop!
MAY 16, 2017
The UN Security Council has warned it may hit North Korea with a new round of sanctions in response to its latest missile launches, which it blamed for stirring up regional tension, and urged Pyongyang to stop its nuclear and ballistic missile activity. In the wake of North Korea’s medium-range missile launch into the Sea of Japan on Saturday, the UNSC
slammed the self-isolated country for “highly destabilizing behavior and flagrant and provocative defiance” it displays by turning a blind eye to multiple UN resolutions expressly prohibiting it from attempting such actions. Apart from reiterating its commitment to comply with all restrictive measures imposed on North Korea under previous resolutions, the Council hinted it might look at the possibility to tighten the grip on the state’s economy, which is already suffering under a heavy burden of international sanctions.

DEVELOPING: Was North Korea Linked To Global Cyber Attack?
MAY 16, 2017
Cyber security researchers have found technical clues they said could link North Korea with the global WannaCry “ransomware” cyber attack that has infected more than 300,000 machines in 150 countries since Friday. Symantec and Kaspersky Lab said on Monday some code in an earlier version of the WannaCry software had also appeared in programs

used by the Lazarus Group, which researchers from many companies have identified as a North Korea-run hacking operation. “This is the best clue we have seen to date as to the origins of WannaCry,” Kaspersky Lab researcher Kurt Baumgartner told Reuters. Both firms said it was too early to tell whether North Korea was involved in the attacks, which slowed to a crawl on Monday but have already become one of the fastest-spreading extortion campaigns on record.

Financial Weapons Of Mass Destruction: The Top 25 U.S. Banks Have 222 Trillion Dollars Of Exposure To Derivatives
MAY 16, 2017
(Reported By Michael Snyder) The recklessness of the “too big to fail” banks almost doomed them the last time around, but apparently they still haven’t learned from their past mistakes.  Today, the top 25 U.S. banks have 222 trillion dollars of exposure to derivatives.  In other words, the exposure that these banks have to derivatives contracts is approximately equivalent to the gross domestic product of the United States times twelve.
As long as stock prices continue to rise and the U.S. economy stays fairly stable, these extremely risky financial weapons of mass destruction will probably not take down our entire financial system.  But someday another major crisis will inevitably happen, and when that day arrives the devastation that these financial instruments will cause will be absolutely unprecedented. During the great financial crisis of 2008, derivatives played a starring role, and U.S. taxpayers were forced to step in and bail out companies such as AIG that were on the verge of collapse because the risks that they took were just too great.

BREAKING NEWS: Russia Aligns with China in crafting the New World (trade) Order
MAY 15, 2017
History will record the Belt and Road Forum in Beijing marked the juncture where the 21st century New Silk Roads assumed their full character of Globalization 2.0, or “inclusive globalization,” as defined by President Xi Jinping in Davos earlier this year. I have dealt with the monumental stakes here and here. Terminology, of course, remains a minor problem. What was once defined as One Belt, One Road (OBOR) is now promoted as the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
Much is still somewhat lost in translation in English, what matters is that Xi has managed to imprint the myriad possibilities inbuilt in the concept especially across the Global South. An amiable host, Xi in Beijing went ‘no holds barred’ extolling the inclusive integration merits of OBOR/BRI. It also helps that along the way, this being China, his spin doctors came up with a lovely metaphor to illustrate how OBOR/BRI should find its force as a common, pan-Eurasian effort; “Wild Swan geese [found across Asia but not in Europe] are able to fly far and safely through winds and storms because they move in flocks and help each other as a team.”

NATO and Russia Carry Out War Games in Show of Strength Across the Globe
MAY 13, 2017
NATO commanders put on a show of strength during a tank competing exercise in Germany, as Russia flexed its muscles by parachuting tanks onto a battlefield. Six Nato allies competed in the Strong Europe Tank Challenge in the town of Grafenwoehr yesterday, with Austria coming first to beat France, Germany, Poland, Ukraine and the USA. The competition, held for its second time, tested soldiers on vehicle identification, battle damage assessment and precision manoeuvres.
Lt Gen, Ben Hodges, the commander of US Army Europe, has said the competition was designed to help build a team spirit between the six nations. Nato, increasingly at odds with Russia over their perceived ambitions in Europe, held the event across five days. Russian President Vladimir Putin’s troops were seen practising dropping tanks onto a battlefield on the same day. A BMD-4M tank was dropped from the back of a Ilyushin Il-76 cargo plane from 800m.

Bin Laden’s Son looking to avenge father as Al-Qaeda ‘Stronger than Ever’…
MAY 13, 2017
Personal letters seized in the raid that killed Osama bin Laden reveal the al Qaeda leader’s son to be a young man who adores his father and wants to carry on his murderous ideology. That son today is poised to lead a stronger, larger al Qaeda and is bent on avenging his dad’s death, says an ex-FBI agent familiar with those documents. Holly Williams interviews Ali Soufan, the former FBI agent who was the bureau’s lead investigator of al Qaeda after the 9/11 attacks, on

the next edition of 60 Minutes Sunday, May 14 at 7 p.m. ET/PT. Soufan describes a letter from the son, Hamza, that was collected in the raid and now declassified. “He tells him that…he remembers ‘every look…every smile you gave me, every word you told me.'” Hamza would be about 28 now and wrote the letter when he was 22 and had not seen his father in several years. Hamza also wrote this: “I consider myself to be forged in steel. The path of jihad for the sake of God is what we live.”

Putin Blames America For Cyber Attacks
MAY 15, 2017
Vladimir Putin has blamed the US for the global cyber attack that has crippled computer systems around the world since Friday.  The cyber attack, which wreaked havoc at dozens of NHS trusts on Friday, has continued to spread, hitting thousands of computers in China and Japan. Putin said Russia had “nothing to do” with the attack and blamed the US for creating the hacking software that affects Microsoft computers.
“Malware created by intelligence agencies can backfire on its creators,” said Putin, speaking to media in Beijing. He added that global leaders needed to discuss cyber security at a “serious political level” and said the US has backed away from signing a cyber security agreement with Russia.  Authorities fear a second wave of the “WannaCry” ransomware could hit systems as people return to work and switch on their computers on Monday morning.

Putin Warns America to “Stop Bullying North Korea”
MAY 15, 2017
Vladimir Putin waded into the North Korea crisis this morning and told Donald Trump: ‘Stop bullying Kim.’ Russia’s ironman leader warned the “intimidation” of Kim Jong-un’s regime must end. He said: “We must stop intimidating North Korea and find a peaceful solution to this problem.” But Vlad also had words of warning for the wannabe nuclear state –
telling Kim he must not build his nuclear arsenal. One test landed within 60 miles of Russia’s Far Eastern coast on Saturday night. At a meeting on his state visit to China, Putin added: “We are categorically against the expansion of the club of nuclear powers. “We consider [the missile test] counter-productive, harmful and dangerous.” Despot Kim is trying to fit a nuclear warhead to one of his ballistic missiles – the largest of which it is feared could hit the US.

Johnson said the agency doesn’t usually talk about assets used in a missile defense test until after the fact, but did confirm the next flight intercept test of the ground-based mid-course ballistic missile defense system is planned for late May. That test will be the first time a ground-based missile interceptor launched from California attempts to smash into a “threat-representative” intercontinental ballistic missile in its mid-course over the Pacific, the Missile Defense Agency said.

North Korea claims latest missile test proves its capability to carry Nuclear Warheads’
MAY 15, 2017
Pyongyang has claimed that its medium-range ballistic missile test carried out on Sunday under the supervision of Kim Jong-un has confirmed the “tactical specifications and technical characteristics” of the rocket which North Korea says is capable of carrying nuclear warheads. North Korea has succeeded in launching its new surface-to-surface missile on May 14, Pyongyang’s official Central News Agency announced. “The test fire was conducted with maximum angle of the
projectile’s elevation in consideration of the safety of neighboring countries, with the aim of confirming the tactical specifications and technical characteristics of the new long-range strategic ballistic rockets capable of loading powerful heavy-weight nuclear warheads,” KCNA announced. According to Pyongyang, the launch has enabled testing in “actual flight conditions” the missile’s “stabilization, structural, pressurization and launch systems,” as well as “reliability of the rocket’s engine” and its integrity “in the harsh reentry environment.”

Latest North Korea Missile Launch Ended Up 60 Miles From Russia
MAY 15, 2017
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is in a “state of paranoia” as it was revealed his latest nuclear missile test landed just miles from Russia. Nikki Haley, US Ambassador to the United Nations, called the launch early on Sunday morning local time a message by Pyongyang to South Korea after the election of President Moon Jae-in, who took office on Wednesday.
She said: ”You first have to get into Kim Jong-Un‘s head – which is, he’s in a state of paranoia, he’s incredibly concerned about anything and everything around him.” Mrs Haley added the United States will “continue to tighten the screws” on North Korea, mentioning sanctions and working with the international community to put pressure on Pyongyang. On Monday morning, North Korea claimed it succeeded in launching a ground-to-ground intermediate ballistic missile.

Latest Launch Indicates North Korea has Missiles Powerful Enough to ‘launch Strike at America’
MAY 14, 2017
Kim Jong-un’s latest missile launch suggests North Korea has a weapon capable of striking at the US, experts have warned. Japan and South Korea said the missile reached an altitude of 2,000 km (1,245 miles) and landed just 60 miles south of Russia. Fired from a site north of Pyongyang, its estimated range of 3,700 miles would make it capable of hitting Hawaii. South Korea’s newly elected President Moon Jae-in described the launch at dawn as “reckless provocation”.
Analysts say the test suggested a longer range than previous North Korean missiles. A US official said the missile landed in water 60 miles south of Russia’s Vladivostok region, home of the Russian Pacific Fleet. Japan defence minister Tomomi Inada said it had travelled for 30 minutes. Expert Kim Dong-yub, based in Seoul, gave a range of 3,700 miles, capable of reaching Hawaii.

White House Warns “North Korea has Been Flagrant Menace for far too long”
MAY 14, 2017
The White House responded to the latest North Korean ballistic missile launch late Saturday, saying that the rogue regime has been a “flagrant menace for far too long.” The statement added that President Trump “cannot imagine that Russia is pleased” with North Korea’s latest test because the missile landed close to Russia soil. The statement pointed out that the missile landed closer to Russia than to Japan.
The White House said the U.S. maintains its “ironclad commitment” to stand with its allies in the face of the serious threat posed by North Korea, and added that the latest “provocation” should serve as a call for all nations to implement far stronger sanctions against the North. The Pentagon confirmed that North Korea launched some type of ballistic missile at around 10:30 a.m. Hawaii time. It was launched near Kusung and landed in the Sea of Japan.

RUMORS OF WAR: North Korea’s Latest Missile Test Posing “Grave Threat” to Japan
MAY 14, 2017
North Korea’s latest ballistic missile test has flown further and higher than it’s last, posing a ‘”grave threat” to Japan. The missile was launched yesterday in defiance of calls to rein in its weapons program, days after a new leader in its old rival South Korea came to power pledging to engage it in dialogue. The US Pacific Command said it was assessing the type of weapon used but it was “not consistent with an intercontinental ballistic missile”.
Japanese Defence Minister Tomomi Inada said the missile could be of a new type altogether. The missile flew 430 miles and reached an altitude of more than 1,245 miles, according to officials in South Korea and Japan, further and higher than an intermediate-range missile North Korea successfully tested in February from the same region of Kusong, northwest of its capital, Pyongyang.
