Taking credit for our labor

2 Corinthians 10:13 But we will not boast of things without [our] measure,
but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us,
a measure to reach even unto you.

Taking credit for doing God’s work is always looked in a dicey manner. Some
may look it as boasting while others may justify it. In today’s scripture
we read Paul drawing the thin line between these two factors. The factor is
for what we take credit for.

Many who labor for God’s Kingdom think they are doing God a favor therefore
demand equal response for God (as to their knowledge). They set
expectations and receipt of favors for their labor, they do not realize the
labor they do is like a person working out in a gym. When a person lifts or
does workout in a gym they are not doing any favor to anyone but
themselves, they are building their worn body.

Yes we do get credit in Heaven for our labor but the main factor is that we
get stronger when we labor and thus are found eligible for greater roles in
God’s Kingdom. Paul symbolizes this with being rich in this world.

Heavenly richness is not having Heavenly money or precious metals/gems
(they are symbolic) but all about having a Heavenly position. Paul in his
last later letter concludes perfectly as a high calling / crown.

We have to understand it is not about just going to Heaven, but also about
what position we go as. Heaven is not a flat big hall, the higher levels
are equated to a mountain with the peak being where the Throne (glory) of
God is.

Let us not be surprised on Judgment Day but today let us prepare ourselves
for our place in Heaven.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord in your wisdom created all things and
thus made everyone not only differently but also put each in different
Callings and functions within the Body of Christ. We pray we understand the
things set for us in Heaven where we will live eternally and thus prepare
for a high place /crown. You Lord give priority to quality more than
quantity...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

1 Corinthians 3:4-15

2 Timothy 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness,
which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to
me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Philippians 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling
of God in Christ Jesus.

Falsehood will fail against you

Mark 14:54, 55 And Peter followed him afar off, even into the palace of
the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the
fire. And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against
Jesus to put him to death; and found none.

The shaky nature of Peter to deny Jesus and follow Him allows us to know of
the things that happened in the court where the Jewish Priests tried to
justify their wrath/revenge against Jesus, and of their plan to kill Him.
We find many tried to accuse Him for many things but none could
substantiate their accusations against Him. Between themselves they found
their falsehood failed against Jesus Christ.

Today the Lord is saying especially to those who are going through a
situation of falsely being accused that any type of falsehood against them
will fail and the enemy’s plans will also fail against them.

Let us remember our God is a Living God and He alone is God. He cares for
His people (those who seek Him) and He protects them very dearly. Let us
always keep our eyes on Him.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God and loving Father. You God love your people so
much that a part of became a sacrifice for us. Lord we pray we always
remember You are there with us and your Hand protects us even in the small
things. Let our eyes be always lifted up to Zion from where our help
comes...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

grace and glory: no good [thing] will he withhold from them that walk

enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Psalms 91:1-11
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under
the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, [He is] my refuge and my fortress: my God; in
him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, [and] from
the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou
trust: his truth [shall be thy] shield and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; [nor] for the arrow

7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand;
[but] it shall not come nigh thee.
8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because thou hast made the LORD, [which is] my refuge, [even] the most
High, thy habitation;
10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy

False Christians

John 10: 1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door
into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and
a robber.

We always speak of ‘false prophets’ but we never speak of ‘false
Christians’, which is a bigger damage to Christianity. Christianity suffers
more because of false Christians than false prophets. If there were few
false Christians than false prophets would find it hard to exist, they
exist because the Church is filled with more false Christians than true
Christians.

Today’s message does not speak about false prophets but of false Christians.

Jesus said I am the way. It means we need to travel by Him (the way) and He
also said the Comforter will lead us by the way (make Him known to us). So
when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Master we simply stand at the
entrance of the way, it is our baptism which takes us along the way, our
baptism in Jesus Christ via the Holy Spirit. There is no two, three or many
baptisms, there is only one baptism, baptism in Jesus Christ via the Holy
Spirit. Before the followers of Christ were called ‘Christians’ in Antioch
they were called ‘People of The Way’ all because they truly followed Jesus
Christ.

Today’s message speaks of Christians who are not baptized in Christ via the
Holy Spirit, these are not true Christians and thus great danger to
Christianity. It is these who destroy other Christians and cause the fall
of others.

Let us first introspect ourselves if we are Christians by baptism or are we
amongst those who are a danger to Christianity. If we are not transformed
by His Spirit then there is a danger of another spirit working through us.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are Holy and thus desire your children
too to be holy. Lord we pray we are not called Christians by our belief,
traditions, rituals etc. but are called Christians by the way we live our
lives and by your glory shining through us…

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
John 14:6-7
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man
cometh unto the Father, but by me.
7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from
henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

Romans 13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision
for the flesh, to [fulfil] the lusts [thereof].

Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have
put on Christ.

Ephesians 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

He is Christ

John 9:22 These [words] spake his parents, because they feared the Jews:
for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was
Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.

The term Christ is given in the NT and comes from Greek word ‘Christos’, it
is translated as ‘anointed one’. The word is an adjective and if we get
into the root word ‘chraomai’ which means ‘to receive a loan’ in other
words the word Christ simple means one who has receive another Spirit. When
we use the term Christ for Jesus we are stating Him as one who has the
Spirit of God / Holy Spirit.

In Antioch when the disciples were called ‘Christians’ it did not means
they had the Spirit of God like Jesus did, for Bible says in Him alone God
found it worthy to dwell in fullness/whole. Isaiah 11:1-2 states there are
7 Spirits of God (it is 7 in 1 - Holy Spirit) and He was whole in Him alone..

When we receive the Holy Spirit, we receive a token of the Spirit of Truth
(1 of the 7 Spirits of God) which means a small part of Him (Spirit of
Truth) and then as we get baptized (transformed) in Him we start to grow in
Him, in other words receive more and more of Him (even of the other 5
Spirits).

In the Tabernacle the Lord commanded the Israelites to make a candle stand
with 7 branches so as to depict the Holy Spirit, also the Shewbread which
depicted Jesus (Son o Man), both were kept in the Holy place not in the
Holy of Holies. The Ark of Covenant which was kept in the Holy of Holies
did not depict the Throne of God in Heaven as believed (although the top
cover was made symbolically with the Cherubim), if studied in depth it
depicted the Cross / Cause of Christ. In other words God the Father was
nowhere symbolized in the Tabernacle. John 1:18 says no being has seen God
other than the Son. It is the Cross / Cause of Christ that later brings us
to be part of the Tabernacle of God the Father.

We need to note Bible also warns us there are / will be other ‘christs’
meaning people with other kinds of spirits. So let us not just follow
‘anointed’ people just because they do things or take the name of Jesus,
let us discern their anointing by their purpose and the ‘Spirit’ that
operates within them.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. Before darkness came a part of You have already
humble Himself to be the Lamb that was slain for us. You humbled yourself
and became our sacrifice so that we receive your Spirit and be transformed
in You. Lord we pray we discern the kind of spirits that operate between
your people taking your name. Let us not be deceived but discern through
your Word and fruits...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Isaiah 11:1-2
1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch
shall grow out of his roots:
2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and
understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and
of the fear of the LORD;

Colossians 1:19-20
19 For it pleased [the Father] that in him should all fulness dwell;
20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to
reconcile all things unto himself; by him, [I say], whether [they be]
things in earth, or things in heaven.

Deuteronomy 13:1-3
1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth
thee a sign or a wonder,
2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee,
saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us
serve them;
3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer
of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the
LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

Revelation 21:22-23
22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are
the temple of it.
23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in
it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb [is] the light
thereof.

Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and
shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible,
they shall deceive the very elect.

Encounter with Abraham

John 8:57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old,
and hast thou seen Abraham?

Jesus had claimed to have met Abraham and the Jews could not digest this
for as a man who was not even 50 years old was claiming to have encountered
a person living more than 2000years back (during this incident). The Jews
could not understand this because they did not know Jesus.

In today’s date too most Christians do not understand this for they too
like the Jews do not know Jesus that well. Most Christians think Jesus as
God (God the Son) met Abraham. They do not realize in His divine nature no
man, not even Angels can stand before Him. Like no being has seen God the
Father other than the Son so also the Son had humbled Himself in the
foundation of Creation of both Heaven and earth (heavenly beings and beings
of this natural world), thus no being has seen the Son in His full glory.

If we read scriptures and their cross reference we will understand and know
for of Jesus for He became us what we are and what we will become. It is
only in knowing Lord Jesus Christ we will know ourselves and the plans God
(Godhead) has for us. It is not only our story but even the beings like the
Angels and Cherubim are connected with our story and results.

Yesterday the Lord spoke to us about being Christ as man today He wants us
to know more of Him before He became man about 2000years back and after He
gave His glory and created the Heavens and our creation.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You alone are God. Your Word says they is only one
God, yet we know of your existence as Son and His Spirit. Lord we pray You
open the minds of your people to understand and know You so that we know
your plans for us. It is true your Word says no mind can think or nor
thought can imagine the things You have in store for us unless You open our
minds and make us understand...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scripture]
Genesis 1:1-2
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] upon the
face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Ephesians 3:9 And to make all [men] see what [is] the fellowship of the
mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who
created all things by Jesus Christ:

Philippians 2:6-11
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with
God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a
servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became
obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which
is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven,
and [things] in earth, and [things] under the earth;
11 And [that] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to
the glory of God the Father.

John 17: 5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the
glory which I had with thee before the world was.

John 16:28 I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world:
again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

John 1:18 No man {being} hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son,
which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared [him].

God is in control

Acts 1:26 And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias;
and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

Yesterday a very poor woman who was discovered by someone at Kolkata
railway station singing for food to have an excellent voice, whose video
went viral, she was selected by one very famous music director to sing for
his song, she stated it was God who worked through people and used people
to bless her since He loved her very much. She gave all the glory to the
Lord Jesus Christ.

We find people who are in difficult situations and under great problems at
times blame God for putting them through this, indirectly they state God
hates them and does not love them.

We know God created all things and all life comes from Him so even Satan is
created by Him, that does not means there is evil in God.

The Taoism (Chinese belief) believe in Yin-Yang (God and Bad) exist in this
universe and both need to exist also there needs to be a balance between
the two; this is because they do not know God and are more an atheist
belief (believing in universal spirit, not an intellectual being), but have
human-gods or animal gods which can be killed and given birth to, like what
exist in Hinduism (bhagwans)!

Is God a puppeteer who controls every thought, every action and every event?

Initially when I was spiritually new in the Lord I I thought we are
directly connected to God like a live connection and thus we live, when God
desires He disconnects and we die! Later I realized when we were created in
the foundation of creation, we were like seeds and the day we became a
living soul in our mother’s womb we started to live our spiritual life term
(which is a few thousands of years), if we go to Hell we suffer our sins
there till our life term finishes, and if we sleep in Christ and go to
Heaven then we can live eternally for we can renew our spirit lives via the
Tree / River of Life (symbolic) which exist in Heaven. Above all God knows
who will go to Heaven.

So all though all life comes from God yet its beginning and end is marked
by Him, each one lives it as He desires and the Lord gives freedom to do
so. But that does not mean He becomes audience to all things. Although evil
exist He sets boundaries to it so that His people are not consumed by it.
Also He does not wait for the extremes, if people call upon Him He does
intervene. Although all things are set by Him yet there are times He
intervene without disturbing the timeline or story of His creation which is
already written.

Similarly if we look at the Bible although it says everything its written
and complete, nothing can be added or removed from it yet we find God still
talks to us individually even today. What we will see is whatever God
speaks will not contradict His written Word, if it does then it was not God
that spoke to us but either an evil spirit or our misled conscience.

In today’s message we find the Apostles casting lots to know God’s decision
between two persons. In the OT the breastplate of the High Priest had
pockets in which were two objects called Urim and the Thummim which in
Hebrew means truth and perfect (symbolizes the Word of God) and whenever
the Lord did not speak to His people directly or through a Man of God, the
priest wore the breastplate and via these two objects gave the Lord’s
decision (similar to casting lots).

It does not means one can pick anything randomly and state it is the Lord’s
decision, one needs to have proper understanding of the process and over
time knows how the Lord does it (note the breastplate was only worn by a
Priest and not anyone).

It is by this understanding I get my daily messages and one can see the
supernatural links between them and what is currently or going on or going
to happen in this world.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You alone are God. You created all things and all life
comes from You yet You have given each living being a choice of how to live
it. Lord we pray we understand You are a Living God and do interact with us
and work in our situations as and when we allow You to. We pray we learn to
call on You and in your Name see your glory in our lives...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Exodus 28:29-30
29 And Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the
breastplate of judgment upon his heart, when he goeth in unto the holy
[place], for a memorial before the LORD continually.
30 And thou shalt put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the
Thummim; and they shall be upon Aaron’s heart, when he goeth in before the
LORD: and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his
heart before the LORD continually.

Numbers 27:21 And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall ask
[counsel] for him after the judgment of Urim before the LORD: at his word
shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, [both] he, and all
the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.

Deuteronomy 33:8 And of Levi he said, [Let] thy Thummim and thy Urim [be]
with thy holy one, whom thou didst prove at Massah, [and with] whom thou
didst strive at the waters of Meribah;

Nehemiah 7:64-65
64 These sought their register [among] those that were reckoned by
genealogy, but it was not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from
the priesthood.
65 And the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most
holy things, till there stood [up] a priest with Urim and Thummim.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them
that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose.

James 1:13-14
13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot
be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and
enticed.

The Fullness of Gentiles

Romans 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this
mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in
part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

In the Bible the terms used many a times do not mean what people
understand. Like the term ‘Israel’ is mostly misunderstood with the Jewish
people who have named their country Israel. Paul in today’s message speaks
of the importance of knowing the mystery of the terms like Israel,
Gentiles... I will attend to some in today’s message.

The Hebrew word Yisra’el is a compound word means ‘Prince(s) of God’ and
symbolizes Sons of God and symbolizes those who are matured in the Lord.
When the Lord called Jacob meaning "supplanter" Israel it spoke of His plan
of redemption. Term like ‘Egypt’ which means ‘dual strait’ speaks of those
who are of God but living a worldly life.

Jew a term used for people of Judah whose capital was Jerusalem (meaning
teaching of peace) symbolizes those spiritually little in the Lord. In the
Bible there is no scripture asking us to pray for Israel but asks us to
pray for Jerusalem and people have changed it assuming the Lord asks us to
pray for the people of the country Israel. We are called to pray for all
those who are spiritually little or growing in the Lord irrespective of
whichever country they belong and when we do that we too are blessed.

Zion which means ‘fortified city’, the term ‘Sons of Zion’ is the highest
level of spiritual growth and talks of being in authority like Jesus as man
was on earth. David called the city of Jerusalem Zion in faith even though
there was no wall around it, it was later that Solomon built its first
wall. If we read scriptures connected to this term normally equated to
Israel thus we find most people call Israelites Zionist not aware of its
true understanding.

The Hebrew term Gentile comes for the root Hebrew word for ‘back’ and
symbolizing ‘backsliding people’ or those who are of the Lord but
worshiping other gods, in other words the ‘lost sheep’.

Today’s scriptures talks of the mission of the Lord Jesus Christ which is
the ‘fullness of Gentiles’ in other words speaks of the gathering of the
lost sheep. We as Disciples of Christ, who carry the mission of Christ,
have only one purpose that is to gather the Lord’s sheep who are lost
(Gentile) and bring them into Israel (Zion) which in other words means
discipleship them in the Lord.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God of all that lives. You Lord created all mankind
yet there are very few who are yours and You await their return before You
sit in judgment of this world and of Heavens. Lord we pray we understand
the hidden spiritual things and are rooted on the Truth. We pray those who
are misled and deceived to believe the contrary may open their eyes to the
Truth...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Gaining them that are without law

1 Corinthians 9:21 To them that are without law, as without law, (being
not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain
them that are without law.

The term ‘law’ seems to fall both in homonyms (two words having same
spelling/pronunciation yet different meanings) as well as Antonyms (words
that have opposite meanings). We use the term ‘lawless’ to people who have
no principles or are rebellious and on the other hand we call people under
the law as those under bondage. People are confused if they want the law or
do not want the law.

In his letter to the Romans, Paul seems to debate a lot on the good or bad
aspect of the law. To understand law we to understand what law is and which
law does the scripture refer to.

The Hebrew and Greek word for ‘law’ comes from the root ‘establishment’
(Torah also translated as law means direction or teaching) so law is
connected to rule or kingdom. When we say ‘the Kingdom of God is here’ it
simply means the people are abiding in His rule. We cannot say we dwell in
God’s Kingdom or are citizens of His Kingdom if we are not abiding in His
rule / law. Every Word of the Lord is the Law of God. God said in the later
days He would write His Law in our heart, in other word meant the Spirit of
the Lord will speak to us individually like He spoke to Moses.

Coming to the second part of ‘which law’. In the NT concerning
Jews/Christians the term ‘law’ referred to two laws, the ‘Law of Moses’ and
the ‘Law of the Lord’. Although both originate from Moses since the Lord
gave the Law through Moses where the difference exist, is in its
understanding, which effects its purpose.

The Law of the Lord when done in the natural without understanding its
purpose, it becomes the Law of Moses. So traditions are Law of Moses while
statutes are Law of the Lord. Paul thus says anything done in the name of
the Lord but without understanding of the truth (faith) is sin.

Today’s verse speaks not of people not following the traditions of the Jews
or Christians but those who are not dwelling in the Kingdom of the Lord -
in other words Gentiles / lost sheep. Even if the person is one who reads
the Bible or attends Church services, yet will be considered a Gentile or
lost sheep if that person does not dwell in God’s Kingdom in other words
does not follow the Law of the Lord.

Let us not think Gentiles are those who are not ‘Christians’ but amongst
‘Christians’ we will find many Gentiles.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty Holy God the Heavens are your abode. You are
Omnipresent and there is no place You do not exist. Your Throne is in the
Highest Heavens not for it is a chair put there but a place where your
glory shines the most. Wherever your Kingdom exist your glory is seen. Lord
we pray we understand the importance of dwelling in your Kingdom that is
abiding in your Law / your Word...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Romans 13:2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the
ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves
damnation.

Romans 14:23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because [he eateth]
not of faith: for whatsoever [is] not of faith is sin.

Luke 2:39 And when they had performed all things according to the law of
the Lord, they returned into Galilee, to their own city Nazareth.

Romans 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the
mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Betrayal of Jesus a Philosophical Approach

John 13:21 When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, and
testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall
betray me.

As man Jesus had knowledge of things that were revealed through scriptures.
So in scriptures was given that one of His followers would betray Him and
Jesus was well aware of it. What was interesting to know is that Jesus did
not know who amongst the twelve would be that one person who would betray
Him. This was only confirmed to Him only nearing the Last Supper that the
betrayer would be Judas.

In today’s message we read how Jesus was troubled in spirit about the fact
from the twelve who were closely developed by Him and trained by Him there
would be a betrayer, yet He did not exhibit this in nor affect His work
amongst them.

If we get into philosophical logical possibilities, they are driven by two
factors necessities (need) and contingency (condition). The betrayal of
Jesus by one of His disciples was unchangeable for it was written, Jesus
could not avoid it (condition) also His betrayal was needed so that the
sacrifice would be performed. In Jewish / legal factors in force during
that time the identity of a person had to be established by minimum two
persons and if one of them was a close person then the identification was
unquestionable. Today the question of a mistaken identity is ruled out
since it was His close disciple who identified Him.

In the Bible there are many prophecies which are yet to come. We cannot
change any of them. There are many which are not time stamped these can be
quickened or delayed but those which are time stamped will come in its time
and these cannot be tampered with.

The second coming of Jesus Christ or Judgment Day is not a time stamped
event thus Jesus stated He did not know the hour and day even though it is
He who would come on that day. Lots of factors concerning the event are
given and all depends on their fulfilment for Christ to come again. It is
only when we have knowledge of those factors and fulfill them that we can
quicken His coming.

Jesus equated His coming again to the floods of Noah and Noah knew unless
the task given to Him of building the ark was not fulfilled the floods
would not come. Noah took 100years to complete the ark and the flood
awaited Noah. Had Noah stopped half way would the flood have cancelled? God
could have got someone less to complete it, this would have delayed the
flood further but the purpose of the ark was to save those whom God had
earmarked from his wrath which could not be cancelled.

Instead of shouting on rooftops of the coming of the floods let us
concentrate on building the ark so that the floods come quickly. It is we
who are delaying the coming of Christ.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty and Awesome God. You Lord created all things for a
purpose and nothing can destroy the purpose for You are not man to fail.
Lord we pray we are not deceived to delay your purpose or lose being part
of it. We pray we do not be distracted but focus on the building of the Ark
so that we see your glory soon...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
John 6:71 He spake of Judas Iscariot [the son] of Simon: for he it was
that should betray him, being one of the twelve.

John 12:4 Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s [son],
which should betray him,

Isaiah 55: 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it
shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please,
and it shall prosper [in the thing] whereto I sent it.

Matthew 24:34-39
34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these
things be fulfilled.
35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
36 But of that day and hour knoweth no [man], no, not the angels of
heaven, but my Father only.
37 But as the days of Noe [were], so shall also the coming of the Son of
man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and
drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered
into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall
also the coming of the Son of man be.

Matthew 26:54,14
54 But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a
witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Prophesy of Peter

John 21:18 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou
girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt
be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee,
and carry [thee] whither thou wouldest not.

In the NT there are two people who are indirectly connected to the false
church / goats and they are Mary the mother of Jesus and Peter the Apostle.
These people personally had nothing to do with the false church but their
names were prophesized to be misused by this church.

When Mary (which in Hebrew means bitter) went to the temple with the 8 days
old child for the dedication the Prophet Simeon prophesized to Mary that
after her death (soul) a sword will pierce her (pain her) so as to reveal
the hearts of people. This prophecy had nothing to do with the suffering of
Jesus but had to do with her name being misused after her death. The Lord
allowed people to worship her so that the hearts to those who say they love
Him but really do not will be exposed.

Today we have thousands and thousands of people even of other religions
(Muslims / Hindus) worshipping her and we have Catholics who reject the
Bible just because those who follow the Bible do not worship her. The first
question they ask Believers ‘do you respect (worship) Mary!’ These people
even declare they ‘were born Catholic and will die Catholic’ (even if they
have to suffer Hell), sadly they so not realize they will not go to Hell
because they have accepted Jesus but rejected His Word, but on Judgment day
will go to a place worse than Hell that is the Lake of Fire.

Peter was called Peter (small stone - a term used for Satan in OT) not only
because he was an unsteady character but also because of the false church
being built on his name. This church in the 7 letters to the 7 Churches (7
eras of the Church) has the 2nd era (300AD to 400AD) calling it the temple
of Satan and 3rd era (400AD – 1500AD) calling it the throne of Satan. In
Rome the statue stated to be of Peter, like the picture of Jesus promoted
by this church, is of another character and have nothing to do with
resembling them.

Today’s message is a double prophecy it indicated about Peter becoming a
martyr but it also speaks of the phase of the church built on his name.
Revelations 17, 18 also speaks of how in the later phases (6th - the one we
have just entered into) will see it fall. We who follow Christ are told in
NT as well as OT to bring this Church down.

Believers should concentrate on giving the Gospel to Catholics for this is
the period where their hearts will change and they will turn to God.

Let us not lose this opportunity of a great harvest but reach out to every
Catholic we are connected with and get them to see the importance of
abiding in the Word of God and following His Spirit, everything else will
be done by the Lord.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord have in your Word spoken about times
and events. We pray Lord we understand the importance of standing in the
gap so as to see your glory. We pray your people will reach out to the lost
who are deceived by the false church and made to believe they still worship
You. Lord we pray more and more hearts and minds we opened to see the
truth...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Luke 2:35 (Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the
thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.

John 21:15-19

Revelation 17, 18:1-20

Jeremiah 50:9 For, lo, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon
an assembly of great nations from the north country: and they shall set
themselves in array against her; from thence she shall be taken: their
arrows [shall be] as of a mighty expert man; none shall return in vain.

Jeremiah 50:14 Put yourselves in array against Babylon round about: all ye
that bend the bow, shoot at her, spare no arrows: for she hath sinned
against the LORD.

The tragedy of Peter

Mark 14:72 And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the
word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny
me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.

Simon Peter the son of Jona is mistakenly considered the chief amongst the
Apostles, the cause of this thinking is because of mainly 3 reasons, Peter
was in forefront in many incidents, we also have a mistranslation where
Jesus seems to tell Peter that he is the ‘rock’ on which Jesus builds His
Church which will stand all trials lastly it was Peter who addressed to all
the people at Pentecost when the people were baptized in the Holy Spirit.

Simon Peter was one of the leaders that lead the Church after Christ, he
was not the head. The global Church was led by 5 persons which included
John, James, Paul and Barnabas. Peter, John and James looked after the
Jewish Christians while Paul and Barnabas looked after the Gentile
Christians. Jesus being aware of the three being amongst those appointed to
lead thus kept not just Peter but also John and James closer to Him
compared to the others – they went through special trainings.

Coming to the name ‘Peter’ which is in English, the confusion is due to the
Greek word Petros which is misunderstood to be rock. The Greek word for
rock is Petra while Petros means (small) stone. Jesus did not speak Greek
(He may have known the language), He spoke Hebrew in the Synagogues /
Jewish people and spoke Aramaic to the general public. Jesus called Simon
‘Cephas’ which means stone and this is mentioned in John 1:42. The Aramaic
word for rock is Su’has it comes from the Hebrew word for cliff Sel’lah
(Cela’) which is used 53 times in OT. In Hebrew the word for stone is Tyrus
and is used for Satan since he is the father of lies (little truths). Jesus
gave the name Cephas to Simon because he was a person who was always
confused and even though had little knowledge of things yet spoke as if he
knew all.

What Jesus told Peter in Matthew 16:18 is that you Simon are a stone
(Peter/Petros) yet I will use you to build my Church on the rock (Petra) -
referring to the Truth revealed to him by the Holy Spirit. The Church is
built on the Spirit of Truth which came from Christ that is why at some
scriptures it is written as Church is built on Christ. If we read in
scriptures many things are rooted in the Holy Spirit like Callings and
Fruits of the Spirit (of which Heaven is made - the twelve gems). We see
later in Matthew 18:18 Jesus says the same to His disciples saying they all
will have the authority to bind things on earth and heaven. Revelation /
Isaiah says the key being a spiritual key / authority which binds the gates
of Hell and Jesus being the Chief of us (Princes/Sons of God) still holds
the key/authority.

It is no coincident that the Catholic Church which in Daniel is called the
‘little horn’ and Revelations the ‘Mother of all fornications’ is built on
Peter (Peter is considered it first Pope - Bishop of Rome) although in
scriptures there is no record of Peter visiting Rome. Revelations also puts
it as the throne of Satan and his temple.

Peter was one person who did not have a sturdy spiritual life, he was
always on a spiritual rollercoaster, sometimes very high and at times very
low. In today’s scripture we see Peter being sorry after he realized what
Jesus prophesized of him came true yet we see later after Jesus was
crucified he led the whole team back to worldly life and fishing. Even
after Pentecost, Paul had to rebuke Peter more than once for he kept
fluctuation in his doctrine. The letters of Peter have some of the greatest
revelations which even beat most of Pauls’ letters (leaving for Ephesians)
yet we see when Peter was crucified he asked the people to put him upside
down as if it mattered.

Let us not be like Peter, let us be sturdy in our spiritual lives not
fluctuating at extremes. Let us remember at the end when Peter questioned
Jesus about His closeness to John, Jesus told him that John would surely be
there at His second coming but was not sure of Peter.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord choose the weak and foolish to manifest
your power and wisdom, You make them more wise then the wise of the world.
You Lord hate the wise of this world and show them their foolishness. Lord
we pray we submit to You not with knowledge of this world but with
spiritual wisdom and understanding. Help us to be like Paul spiritually
sturdy and not like Peter who fluctuated every now and then...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name.

Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by

15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the
living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona:
for flesh and blood hath not revealed [it] unto thee, but my Father which
is in heaven.
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I
will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and
whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and
whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Matthew 18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth
shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be
loosed in heaven.

Galatians 2:9 And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars,
perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas
the right hands of fellowship; that we [should go] unto the heathen, and
they unto the circumcision.

shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and
none shall open.

alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Radical Christianity

Mark 9:43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to
enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the
fire that never shall be quenched:

In English the term ‘radical’ is defined as “a person who advocates
thorough or complete political or social change, or a member of a political
party or section of a party pursuing such aims”. People hate radical
religious people because they use a very aggressive approach to their
ideology or belief. In Islam radical Muslims are called ‘Jihadi’ and even
though we have just 10 to max 15% Muslims who are counted as radical yet we
find the world assumes 50% to 60% as radical since the 15% of 1.8billion is
a big number and a great concern to the whole world since they promote
Islam with violence. The problem is not these people are insane but is with
their belief, any sane Muslim who truly believes and follows their prophet
lands up becoming an insane Jihadi.

Christianity is one of the few religions which is not associated with
violence. It is true the Catholic Church did promote the Crusades in the
1500-1700 era but people do not realize the sufferers of these crusades
were not non-Christians but mainly true Christians (Protestants) who
followed the Word of God and not the Catholic Church. Thousands and
thousands of Protestants were killed by the Catholic Church.

The problem with Christianity is that its people are not radical. I am not
saying Christians need to be violent like the Jihadists. Yes we need to be
violent but not in the natural way but in a spiritual way. Jesus did
promote radical Christianity even though He projected the love and mercy of
the Father. Today’s scripture are amongst the few scriptures where the Lord
speaks of having a radical approach towards a Christian battle. Christian
battle is not against people but against one’s own self (old man – carnal
self). The battle field of a Christian is his inner-man and his victory is
when he overcome the world (doctrines), carnal nature and transforms into
the image of the Father.

Jesus does not directly tell us to chop of our hand if it causes us to sin
but tells us to use extreme steps to overcome temptation and goes on to say
even if we need to actually chop of our hands or feet then we should not
hesitate. The fact we would not need to take that extreme step of chopping
is because we have the Holy Spirit given to us. Before Christ’s sacrifice
we would have had to take such steps but now thankfully we do not need to
since with the help of the Holy Spirit everything us possible to overcome.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God who is Omnipotent and Omnipresent. For You
nothing is impossible yet You chose to use man to be the vessel to overcome
darkness. We pray Lord we understand to overcome darkness we need to battle
it and thus we need to be spiritual warriors. Lord help us to be more
radical spiritually towards our old man and extreme loving towards others....

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Deuteronomy 13:6-8
6 If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or
the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which [is] as thine own soul, entice
thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not
known, thou, nor thy fathers;
7 [Namely], of the gods of the people which [are] round about you, nigh
unto thee, or far off from thee, from the [one] end of the earth even unto
the [other] end of the earth;
8 Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall
thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal
him:

Matthew 5:29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast [it]
from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should
perish, and not [that] thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Matthew 18:8 Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off,
and cast [them] from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or
maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into
everlasting fire.

Romans 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye
through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Galatians 5:24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with
the affections and lusts.

Luke 22:36-38
36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take
[it], and likewise [his] scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his
garment, and buy one.
37 For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished
in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things
concerning me have an end.
38 And they said, Lord, behold, here [are] two swords. And he said unto
them, It is enough.

Overcoming the fear of death

Acts 5:25 Then came one and told them, saying, Behold, the men whom ye put
in prison are standing in the temple, and teaching the people.

There is a saying that ‘fools dare where Angels do not’. Being fearless
does not necessary mean being knowledgeable or ignorant. What matters is if
there is a danger then ignorance can cause the person to be fearless and
fall prey to that danger, knowledge will cause the person to take
precaution; vice-versa fear of danger when there is no danger can cause a
fool to assume things but a knowledgeable person to be fearless.

Death is feared by both fools and also by the wise and the opposite also is
true. People who have no understanding of life will think death is an exit
from life and they do not fear to die, thus we have so many suicides. Those
who know natural death is not an exit from life fear death for they fear
what exist behind the curtain of death. There also are those who know what
exist behind the curtain of natural death and are not prepared thus fear
death, then there are those who know and are also prepared they are the
ones who truly do not fear death.

Let us ask ourselves where do we stand are we amongst the ignorant of death
then being fearful or fearless does not matter for the result is the same.
It is only those having some knowledge of what exist beyond the curtain
death that repent and turn to the Lord.

Christians are counted to be amongst those who know about death and what
after death. But being knowledgeable of death and not being clear of the
conditions after death also can be dangerous. Today we a majority of
Christians who believe just by believing in Christ, a person will get to
enter Heaven and enjoy eternal life, these are the ones who lack knowledge
of Judgment Day.

Those who do not read scriptures properly think the unbelievers will be
judged on Judgment Day, they fail to read Jesus said those who do not
believe are already judged. They also fail to read on Judgment Day the
sheep will be separated from the goats thus judgment is of the flock (those
who believe). Jesus said His Word will Judge and can the Word judge someone
who does not believe and receive it? It judges those who believe, receive
it and yet not abide in it.

Grace is not a ‘Go Free’ ticket as in Monopoly, it does play a great role,
without grace of God we can do nothing but one needs to do more than just
depend on grace. It is the lack of understanding the term grace that people
are deceived to be counted amongst goats and not the sheep. They fail to
understand the Hebrew word for grace comes from the root word for mercy.

Also one thing almost all are ignorant of the second death – the death of
the spirit (of the goats). Bible does not give it plainly thus most think
of it like natural death a switch off button. Some may say it will be a
painful switch off, they are mistaken. Death of the spirit (second death)
is not a switch of button but more a decay button. The life span of the
spirit does not change but the quality does depending on where it is, only
in Heaven the life span can be extended as and when required via the Tree
of Life.

Judgment Day teaching is supposed to be part of the foundation teaching of
a Christian and Churches are just touching on it, not doing it in depth, it
is for this reason we read so many shouting since centuries that the end
and Judgment day is at hand.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You are light and nothing is hidden from You. We
who are your children are called to be children of light being aware of
things. Lord we pray we do not be counted in the ignorant nor amongst those
misinformed. We pray the truth is clear to us so that we prepare ourselves
worthy to be your Bride...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

John 12:46-48
46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should
not abide in darkness.
47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I
came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth
him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

Matthew 25:31-33
31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels
with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate
them one from another, as a shepherd divideth [his] sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left..

without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the
law;

Romans 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at
nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of
Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of
Christ; that every one may receive the things [done] in [his] body,
according to that he hath done, whether [it be] good or bad.

Revelation 20:12-15
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books
were opened: and another book was opened, which is [the book] of life: and
the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books,
according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell
delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man
according to their works.
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second
death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into
the lake of fire.

Using Logic and Science to understand God and His Kingdom

Romans 9:20,21 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God?
Shall the thing formed say to him that formed [it], Why hast thou made me
thus? Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one
vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

Amongst the Jews there were two types of people who claimed to be knowing
God yet were very far from Him, they were the Pharisees and the Sadducees.

The Pharisees were people who were the spiritual kind (‘charismatic’ as we
know them today), they were seekers of miracles, signs and wonders. They
would declare any person as Prophet (Man of God) if that person did
miracles taking God’s name.

The Sadducees on the other hand were people who were seekers of knowledge.
They questioned and cross questioned scriptures, applying logical thinking
and sciences. The problem with these lot was that their foundation itself
was not proper, their knowledge of scriptures, logic and their sciences
i.e. they did not accept all the prophets and rejected many of the books
which are part of the OT. They also assumed many things which they had
little knowledge of or accepted or rejected because someone famous had done
so. Things which were hidden from natural eyes like Heaven, Angels, life
after death etc. were some of their greatest blunders.

Seeking miracles is not wrong nor is the Kingdom of God irrational. The
problem is one needs to be balanced in both places having sound foundation
in both. One should know God and know His power, one without the other is
not good. We cannot be like the Muslims who believe in a God but limit Him
nor be like the Hindus where gods do anything but there is no macro sense
nor logic amongst their gods, one is called to blindly believe everything
thrown at them at micro level.

Today most of our Preachers are also divided amongst these two lots most
follow the Pharisees while the remaining follow the Sadducees. There are
only a minuscule number who are balanced, who have a connection with the
Holy Spirit, are recipients of His wisdom, understanding and at the same
time exercise His power doing miracles.

If you come across Preachers who concentrate only on doing miracles and
healings but do not enrich you with fresh revelations of God’s Kingdom then
do not hang too long with him or her for you will never grow spiritually,
you may get your worldly problems solved but spiritually you will be as
good as dead.

The more dangerous lots are those who talk of great knowledge and
understanding of scriptures but do not believe in the power of God, like
healings, deliverance etc... If I find one the first thing I try to find
out if that person knows how to do deliverance and exercise authority to
rebuke sickness and evil spirits. They will say ‘let us pray to God’ or
worse ‘it is His will that we suffer’. These lots are like the window
shoppers who only do window shopping, they have knowledge of all the
products as displayed in the window but they have themselves never touched
nor possessed any.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God and Creator of all things. You created all things
according to images of your kind and their kind. You followed logic and
reasoning in all that You did for You are person of order. Lord we pray we
be always humble and wise at the same time knowing that we do not have all
the knowledge and understanding of all things, at the same time remember
You have given us your Spirit of Truth who reveals all things to us when we
seek it, in its time. Help us to know You, your Kingdom and at the same
time experience and exercise your power...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Romans 2:1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that
judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for
thou that judgest doest the same things.

Micah 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what [is] good; and what doth the
LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk
humbly with thy God?

1 Corinthians 1:20 Where [is] the wise? where [is] the scribe? where [is]
the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this
world?

1 Timothy 6:5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute
of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

Isaiah 45:9 Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! [Let] the potsherd
[strive] with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that
fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?

Oneness of the Father and the Son

John 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the
glory which I had with thee before the world was.

After I sent yesterday’s message I felt I did not touch on some scriptures
which speak about the oneness of the Father and Son and today I received
this scripture to write on!

I have mentioned before the Gospel of John is less a Gospel like Mark, Luke
and Matthew, it is more an autobiography of Jesus and thus explains the
closeness of Jesus to John even though Jesus being in the Nature of the
Father did not exercise partiality between His disciples [nor does He do
with us], it was their purpose in Him that caused their closeness or
distance. Interestingly the Gospel of John is the only prophetic ‘Word of
God’ book in the NT, the others are teachings/explanation of the Word or
chronicles, some being both. Even the book of Revelation is revelation of
scriptures of the OT which John (not the Apostle) was meditation on in his
prison on an island (the book was written many years after the Apostles).

The Gospel of John has some of the most inside disclosures of the
relationship between the Son and the Father. There are three very distinct
scriptures about their relationship which boggle the mind if understood in
depth, one is today’s scripture, the other in the same chapter verse 12 and
lastly John 1:18.

John 1:18 speaks of no ‘being’ (not ‘man’ as translated) has seen the
Father other than the Son and that means no one at all even in Heaven.
Secondly it says the Son was within the bosom (the Greek word means
‘creek’) so speaks of the Son coming from within the Father.. If we
understand this then we will understand verses 5 and 12 of chapter 17.

If we go into today’s scriptures (v5) it speaks of the glory the Son had
when He was one with the Father. That means He humbled Himself (gave up His
glory) in the start even before He created the Heavens and our creation.
Verse 12 speaks of Jesus as man protecting His people by the Name of the
Father which was given unto Him. The term name does not refer to the
phonics by which we call Him (His name is different in different languages)
but His Nature which is the same as that of the Father.

Jesus said if we have seen Him then we have seen the Father, He also said
He and the Father are one.

Let us understand the difference when we say
Lord (Master – submitting to Him)
Jesus (the man whom The Son became)
Christ (the man in whom the Spirit of God dwelled)
Son of God (the being who has the image of God)
God the Son (the Divine being who came from within the Father).

In Mark 3:11,12 we see Jesus commands the unclean spirits (fallen angels)
to not disclose who He is and if we read the above verse 11 we find they
call Him ‘Son of God’, this is an mistranslation if we read the Greek text
in the manuscripts it says ‘The Son The God’ and not ‘Son of God’.

Once we understand the relationship between the Father and Son many
scriptures become more interesting like in Revelations the term ‘lamb’
[arnion] does not refer to the animal as in John 1:29 [amnos]. It comes
from the root word ‘Aren’ which means man/male.

In OT [Isaiah 9:6] we find the Son is also called ‘Everlasting Father’,
‘Mighty God’ [characteristics of God the Father] and ‘Comforter’,
‘Counselor’ [characteristics of the Holy Spirit], but yet referred to as
‘Prince of Peace’ not ‘King of Peace’.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You alone are God and there is none other than You. Lord we pray we
know You more and understand your oneness. We pray Lord that we understand
the power in your Name and like Paul said we put on your Name so that we
experience your glory here on earth...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
John 17:12 While I was with them, I kept them in thy name which thou hast
given me: and I guarded them, and not one of them perished, but the son of
perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

John1:18 No man {being} hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son,
which is in the bosom {creek} of the Father, he hath declared [him].

Mark 3:11-12
11 And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and
cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.
12 And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known.

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the
government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called
Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince
of Peace.

Revelation 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon,
to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb [is] the
light thereof.

Philippians 2:5-11
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with
God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a
servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became
obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which
is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven,
and [things] in earth, and [things] under the earth;
11 And [that] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to
the glory of God the Father.

Ephesians 4:3-6
3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4 [There is] one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope
of your calling;
5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 One God and Father of all, who [is] above all, and through all, and in
you all.

He came forth from God

John 16:30 Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not
that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth
from God.

When the disciples spoke to Jesus that they believed He came forth from
God, they did not realize that Jesus not as man but as divine being God the
Son (the term ‘Son of God’ is used for anyone having the image of God) had
literally meant that He came forth from God.

Muslims always ask if God became man then who was running the world. We
find they do not understand the term ‘God’ His omnipresence and
Omnipotence, and Christians who try to answer them also do not understand
the oneness of God. Muslims believe in one God and Christian theologians in
oneness of God (in nature).

Bible scriptures on other hand are clear of there being only one God, and
yet speaks of Father, Son and Spirit as being God, Christian theologians
fail to understand how the oneness is because they fail to understand the
language and confuse between symbolism v/s literal references. Like in
today’s message where Jesus said ‘He came forth from God’, theologians
think of a person being commissioned or sent and not literally coming out
of another.

When we talk of life we always think of simplex life where in one life -
one being but Heaven has not just simplex beings like Angels but also
multiplex beings like a Cherub. Cherubim are not the little babies with
four wings as depicted by the Catholic Church but as beings thousands of
times more powerful than an Angel for they are more than 1 life in one
being but are thousands of lives within a being. Scriptures symbolize each
life as an eye and they are stated having thousands of eyes (they are
spirit beings thus the eye is symbolism). If a single Angel can defeat an
entire human army than think how powerful a Cherub would be. All life that
is created has a life term and Heavenly beings having access to the Tree of
Life (symbolic not literal) can live endlessly consuming of it as and when
required.

God is unlike any being and scripture put Him as having endless life (both
in quantity and length) and thus state Him as ‘having life within Himself’.
This characteristic of having life within oneself is possessed only by the
Son and no one else for He came from the Father. Now the Holy Spirit is
misunderstood the most, for God is Spirit and yet He has a Spirit!
Scriptures state the Spirit of Father and also we have scriptures stating
Spirit of the Son. It is the lack of understanding how the Spirit connects
to both, that the Holy Spirit is put as a being between the Father and Son.
If we read the letters of Paul even though he acknowledges the existence of
the Holy Spirit yet ends his letters referring only to the Father and Son.

My understanding of God started with Hebrew words in OT where mostly it is
the Son and the Spirit who are shown as Elohim / Yahweh / Jehovah, later
this was confirmed with my study of the Hebrew language i.e. the word YHWH
(written as Yahweh) means Behold the Hand Behold the Nail (Hebrew alphabets
are ideograms).

We keep saying that we do not know everything in the Bible but fail to
question some of the teaching of ‘early Church’. When we say ‘early Church’
we think of the Church during the times of the Apostles. What theology we
carry is mostly from the era after the Apostles for they do not match with
the theology given in the letters of the Apostles i.e. the word ‘Trinity’
was taken from pagan religions, the term used by Apostles in English would
be more like ‘Godhead’ (not three beings having common elements but one
body, united one being). The early Catholic Church even tried to manipulate
the Bible to drive their understanding of trinity by adding 1 John 5:7
which is now removed in newer translations.

Being a former Catholic and experienced deceit, I have learnt one thing
never trust any teaching but confirm every teaching with scriptures and
that has opened my eyes to lots of the Truth.

Let us understand the real relationship of the God the Father and God the
Son and how they are one (not just in nature) for Jesus said no being (not
just humans) has seen the Father other than Himself.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You alone are God. Bible says the Son created all
things through His Spirit and yet says He humbled Himself and became a
sacrifice from the foundation of creation. Lord we pray more and more
people come to know You and not just know about You. We pray we open their
eyes to the Truth to your oneness...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the
Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

John 1: 18 No man {being} hath seen God at any time; the only begotten
Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared [him].

Exodus 6:3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by
[the name of] God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.

John 8:56-57
56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw [it], and was
glad.
57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast
thou seen Abraham?

Ephesians 6:23 Peace [be] to the brethren, and love with faith, from God
the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from
the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father,
he shall testify of me:

John 16:28 I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world:
again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

Galatians 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of
his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

R.D SOUZA Saved by faith - Page 2 Empty Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

The greatest enemy is from within

Mark 14: 53 And they led Jesus away to the high priest: and with him were
assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes.

Many think the Romans (symbolizing the worldly people) killed Jesus which
is not true. If we look at the sequence of events the Romans had no problem
with Jesus, even though in historic documents it shows they had concern but
for them He was like all the other ‘god men’ who were for a period of time
and faded away, also He was preaching to the Jewish people mostly and
nothing against the Empire. The Romans only took serious notice of the
followers of Jesus Christ not when He was alive but after His death for it
was the Holy Spirit who was stirring change in people’s lives (their
lifestyle and thinking) not only amongst the Jews but also amongst those
who were not Jews.

If we look at scriptures the disciples of Jesus were called people of The
Way. They proclaimed Christ as the only way to God and eternal life. Today
we have diluted the message of Christ for we fail to show Him as The Way,
The ‘only’ Way. We have made Christianity another option amongst many.

If we read the letters of Paul we find one letter different from all others
and that is the letter to Ephesians (termed by theologians as ‘Generic
Letter’). As I wrote before the letters to the 7 Churches in Revelation
were the 7 eras of the Church; Ephesians / Ephesus (meaning permitted /
authorized) was the era Paul dwelled in and the letter speaks the mindset
of the people then that ‘Christ was the only way’.

During the Catholic Crusade era, the Jews were considered enemies of
Christianity for killing Christ and battles were fought against them. There
were times in history when Jews joined the Muslims to fight against the
Catholic Crusaders, since the crusaders hated them so much.

The greatest enemies were not the Romans nor the Jews but the people who
called themselves worshippers of God but hate His message. We find these
people in today’s scripture even though are identified as Jewish religious
people who led the revolt against Jesus Christ, were not people of any sect
or race but simply people who hated the message.

The word for ‘flesh’ in Hebrew comes from the root word ‘message’ and Jesus
said those who do not become one with His message (consume His flesh) will
have nothing to do with Him.

It is only those who know the truth (even partly) but cannot accept it are
the ones who become the greatest enemies of the Kingdom of God. So the
greatest enemies and not outside Churches but those within, not living the
message of Christ.

Bible says on Judgment Day these who are counted as goats will be dealt
punishment that was kept in store not for man but for the fallen angels and
for Satan (Dragon, the Beast and their human representative - the
Antichrist of the last days).

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You alone are God. Bible says even the devils know
that and tremble. The world hates You because they hate your message. Lord
we pray we do not make the mistake of simply making You known to people but
to make your message known and accepted by your people. We know we are
doing your work not when people accept You but when they live a life
according to your Word. We pray we show You as the Only Way to all...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Leviticus 26:21-33
21 And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me, I will
bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.
22 And I will send the beast of the field among you, which shall rob you
of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and
your ways shall become desolate.
23 And if by these things ye will not be reformed unto me, but will walk
contrary unto me;
24 then will I also walk contrary unto you; and I will smite you, even I,
seven times for your sins.
25 And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall execute the vengeance of
the covenant; and ye shall be gathered together within your cities: and I
will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand
of the enemy.
26 When I break your staff of bread, ten women shall bake your bread in
one oven, and they shall deliver your bread again by weight: and ye shall
eat, and not be satisfied.
27 And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto
me;
28 then I will walk contrary unto you in wrath; and I also will chastise
you seven times for your sins.
29 And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your
daughters shall ye eat.
30 And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your sun-images, and
cast your dead bodies upon the bodies of your idols; and my soul shall
abhor you.
31 And I will make your cities a waste, and will bring your sanctuaries
unto desolation, and I will not smell the savor of your sweet odors.
32 And I will bring the land into desolation; and your enemies that dwell
therein shall be astonished at it.
33 And you will I scatter among the nations, and I will draw out the sword
after you: and your land shall be a desolation, and your cities shall be a
waste.

Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake
of fire and brimstone, where are also the beast and the false prophet; and
they shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Complete healing

Luke 5:14 And he charged him to tell no man: but go, and shew thyself to
the priest, and offer for thy cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for
a testimony unto them.

To understand today’s message we need to relate to the incident of Jesus
healing the 10 lepers recorded in Luke 17. We find in that incident when
the 10 lepers cried out to Jesus to heal them, Jesus told them to go and
show themselves to the Priest and they left to do that. The fact they did
leave to show themselves to the Priest was a confirmation of the faith that
they were getting healed for it was the Priest who had the power to declare
them as healed. The scripture says as they left to show all of them were
healed, but it also goes on to say one of them stopped and turned to thank
Jesus and it was only when Jesus saw his thankfulness that Jesus told him
‘be whole’. To be whole did not mean just healing of the body but even
more, in indirect ways he was assure of entering Heaven for Jesus had set
him to be free of his spiritual corruption. That leper was assured like the
thief on the cross on the right side of Jesus during His crucifixion that
on Judgment Day (when He comes in glory) he will be with Christ in Heaven.

In today’s message a man who was fully covered with leprosy was healed by
Jesus and Jesus tested him also by telling him to do follow the tradition
as per the Law of Moses and this man proceeded to do that. The healing of
this man did happen and this man even caused the fame of Jesus to spread
throughout so much so that Jesus had to withdraw Himself into the
wilderness. But in all this we do not find the man being told that he would
be whole.

Jesus as man did not seek His own fame but only the fame of His Father. God
did not come as man to be famous, He seeks change of hearts of people so
that they enter Heaven.

Let is not just seek physical healings of people or find solutions to their
earthly problems, but let us concentrate on healing of the soul, of people
being make whole, of them being completely healed including their souls.

Above all let us not seek to make Jesus famous, He does not seek fame, He
desires His Name (Nature), which is also the Name of the Father be lifted
up so that all that are in His Name (Nature) be saved / be whole. It is for
this reason the mission is not to make believers but to make disciples.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God, You are Spirit and Truth. You, Lord desire
people to worship You in spirit and truth. You desire man to be transformed
from within so as to be able to enter Heaven and thus need him to be born
again in spirit. Lord we pray we do not seek just healing of the body but
seek more the healing of the inner-man whose corruption hinders our entry
into Heaven...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Luke 5:12-16

Luke 17:12-19
12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that
were lepers, which stood afar off:
13 And they lifted up [their] voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy
on us.
14 And when he saw [them], he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the
priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.
15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with
a loud voice glorified God,
16 And fell down on [his] face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was
a Samaritan.
17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where [are]
the nine?
18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this
stranger.
19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole..

Mark 5:28, 34
28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in
peace, and be whole of thy plague.

Luke 23:42-43
42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy
kingdom.
43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To {that} day shalt
thou be with me in paradise.

1 Corinthians 15:50,53
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the
kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal [must]
put on immortality.

The Bible stands out from all other ‘holy’ books

Luke 1:2 Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were
eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;

When one discusses with people from other beliefs one usually gets the
comments ‘all gods are the same’ or all religions have ‘holy books’. Almost
all the time the people who make such comments are people who have not
opened nor studied the beliefs of other religions including their own. When
one tries to defend their own belief without having proper understanding of
how to respond these people will attack on personal level stating things
like ‘you think only your religion is perfect’, ‘all should worship your
god alone’, ‘you want to convert everyone’, ‘all holy books are written by
humans so how can you state your book alone is perfect’...

One will find Apologists telling you to study about other religions so as
to answer those who question your belief, which is good but only after one
has sound foundation of one’s own belief. I have seen many good and famous
Apologists failing terribly because they knew a lot about other religions
and little about their own.

Historical, linguistic and spiritual understanding of scriptures are
necessary, lacking in even one will cause a shaky standing. When one comes
to ‘holy books’ one needs to understand all religious books are not ‘holy’
books, every religion will have only one ‘holy’ book and it is the book
which tells them about God, about creation which is made by Him and its
purpose. If the book lacks any of these points then the book fails to be
classified as ‘holy’ book i.e. in Hinduism most think the Ramayana and
Mahabharata are ‘holy’ books, but when one reads them they fail to be
classified as ‘holy’ books but are books which give an example of how to
live a life according to their beliefs. Their ‘holy’ book is the Vedas and
it is in the Rig-Veda that one finds written about the Creator (they refer
to as ‘Brahma’), His creation and its purpose (which is not stated clearly).

Now how to test which amongst these are truly ‘holy’ since all are written
by humans (Islam may state the Quran was given by ‘Allah’ from heaven and a
copy of it is in heaven, but such statements can be easily contested from
their own texts). Bible itself states the book/s (since it is a collection
of books) is inspired by God and written by humans. There are some simple 2
tests which one needs to apply to the ‘holy’ books, one is accuracy of the
text (preservation of the original text and its claims, most important it
should have no factual errors), the second is it should have genuine
prophecies (since if it is inspired by a divine being, it should be
timeless not just history). When we apply these two tests to all so called
‘holy’ books we find all of them fail leaving for the Bible..

Let us be confident about the Bible being the Word of God and being the
only ‘Holy’ book, about it being perfect.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You created all things and You alone are its
creator. You Lords gave your Word through man through the ages so as to
show who You are and your plans for mankind. Lord we pray we meditate more
on your Word and understand it with the help of your Spirit. We pray we
understand the power in your Word...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
2 Timothy 3:16 Every scripture inspired of God [is] also profitable for
teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in
righteousness.

John 8:31 Jesus therefore said to those Jews that had believed him, If ye
abide in my word, [then] are ye truly my disciples;

Psalms 119:105 NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, And light unto my
path.

Isaiah 55: 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it
shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please,
and it shall prosper [in the thing] whereto I sent it.

Disobedience in obedience

Mark 16:1,2 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the
[mother] of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might
come and anoint him. And very early in the morning the first [day] of the
week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.

Today morning as I woke up the practices of the Egyptians concerning the
dead which were followed to some extend especially by the Jews of Galilee
was running through my mind and as I sat to write the message I was
surprised to receive this scripture.

We know the Galileans were ill famous for following the traditions of the
pagans thus was the saying ‘no Prophet can arise for Galilee’; the term
Gentiles (meaning back sliding people - comes from the root word ‘back’ or
‘behind’ – NT means lost sheep) was even used for the Jews of Galilee, they
were also called ‘Samaritans’ since they were part of the Israel Kingdom
whose capital was Samaria (Jew was a term specifically used for the people
of Judah Kingdom whose capital was Jerusalem).

Jews (Israelites in general) simply wrapped their dead in a cloth and
buried them. Those who were rich or were famous (like Prophets) were kept
in tombs. It was during their exile in Egypt that some started following
the traditions of the Egyptians who mummified their dead. The Jews (like
those of Galilee) did not exactly do all that the Egyptians did but
followed them partly. We see Lazarus was bound in bands of cloth and not
just one cloth. We also see his sister lost hope of him being resurrected
after four days since they had done these ritual of semi mummification
already on him. Jesus delayed His reaching there since He was aware of
their traditions. He cried at the tomb not because Lazarus was dead, Jesus
knew that long before, He also knew He would raise him from his dead. He
cried looking at the nonsense they did to his body.

In today’s message we see the 3 Marys - Mary the mother of Jesus, Mary
Magdalene and Salome the sister of Mary (who was also called Mary by Jesus
– she was the wife of Zebedee and mother of John and James – she was also
referred to as ‘other Mary’), they loved Jesus very much and followed Him
but were into traditions which were like disobedience towards Him. It was
their ignorance of the truth that cause them to disobey even though they
thought they were obeying God. They had initially wrapped the body with
spice when they placed it in the tomb but later sat to prepare lots and
lots of spices for the ritual which they were to do on the third day. They
came to the tomb for this reason.

They Lord is telling us if we are far from the truth then what we may do
thinking is obedience towards God may actually be disobedience. So let us
not assume everything we do as Christians or as ‘Church traditions’ or
following a ‘Man of God’ as being obedience towards God, let us check with
scriptures and confirm them as being true.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You are light and in You there is no darkness.
Lord we pray we do not follow the path of darkness we though we are called
as children of light. Lord we pray we trust only your Word above all and
check everything done in your name with your Word. Cause us not to disobey
thinking we are obeying You...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Judges 4:2 And the LORD sold them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan,
that reigned in Hazor; the captain of whose host [was] Sisera, which dwelt
in Harosheth of the Gentiles.

Isaiah 9:1 Nevertheless the dimness [shall] not [be] such as [was] in her
vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and
the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict [her by]
the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations {Gentiles}.

John 11:11-14, 38-39, 44-46
11 These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend
Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.
12 Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.
13 Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken
of taking of rest in sleep.
14 Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.
38 Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a
cave, and a stone lay upon it.
39 Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was
dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been
[dead] four days.
44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes:
and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose
him, and let him go.
45 Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which
Jesus did, believed on him.
46 But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what
things Jesus had done.

John 12:10-11
10 But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to
death;
11 Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed
on Jesus.

John 19:39-40
39 And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by
night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound
[weight].
40 Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with
the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.

Luke 23:55-56
55 And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after,
and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid.
56 And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the
sabbath day according to the commandment.

Obedience an essential element of our relationship with God

Luke 5:5-8 And Simon answered and said, Master, we toiled all night, and
took nothing: but at thy word I will let down the nets. And when they had
done this, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes; and their nets were
breaking; and they beckoned unto their partners in the other boat, that
they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the boats,
so that they began to sink. But Simon Peter, when he saw it, fell down at
Jesus’ knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord..

In today’s message we read about Peter who failed and failed yet when
instructed by Jesus put the nets in a place where a fisherman with
experience would not and he got such a large catch that his nets were about
to tear, it was on this he realized the extraordinary happening.

In yesterday’s message we saw love and obedience was correlated. In today’s
message we see the glory of God can be seen when we abide in Him (His
instructions).

In my previous messages I have mentioned that faith comes not by hearing
and hearing the Word of God but by hearing and listening to the Word of
God, the second hearing is in active tense.

If we look at any promise of God in scriptures we find all of them have a
condition and only when we abide in that condition we find we become
recipients of that promise. This does not make God like a human who gives
only when he or she gets. We need to understand it is our disobedience that
obstructs our blessings and it is our obedience which opens the doors to
our blessings. The Hebrew word ‘barak’ for blessing means to quicken that
which is already given thus in the Bible they spoke it (it is also
translates in some places as ‘to curse’).

Today the Lord is emphasizing on our obedience to Him. Let us not a
rebellious people like our fathers (ancestors) who perished, but let us
abide in Christ by our obedience and thus grow in faith, in love and also
see His glory in our lives.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. It would not take You a second to judge and
finish darkness but You Lord are merciful and in your mercy have given us
an opportunity to be the light that overcome the darkness by our obedience
in You - your Spirit and your Word. We pray Lord we see that in little
things we abide in You...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Deuteronomy 11:27-28
27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I
command you this day:
28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God,
but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after
other gods, which ye have not known.

1 Samuel 12:15 But if ye will not obey the voice of the LORD, but rebel
against the commandment of the LORD, then shall the hand of the LORD be
against you, as [it was] against your fathers.

1 Samuel 15:22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD [as great] delight in burnt
offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to
obey [is] better than sacrifice, [and] to hearken than the fat of rams.

Jeremiah 7:23 But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and
I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways
that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.

Love and Obedience

John 14:31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the
Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

We always tell people whom we love that they need to see in our hearts how
much we love them. I state something which needs to be believed without any
confirmation.

In today’s message we see Jesus did not say that we need to see in His
heart to see His love for the Father. He states by His obedience we will
see His love for the Father.

Fruits of the Holy Spirit are not conceptual things that are abstract, that
need to be accepted at face value. All Fruits of the Spirit like love,
faith, wisdom, slow to anger etc. are things that manifest. They are the
light which shines in us and manifest us as children and sons of God.

If we love God them we need to manifest that love by our obedience. If we
rebel against God by not abiding in Him, then can we say we love Him?

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You are Spirit. The Heavens are your abode and they
are spirit places yet they are more real than the creation we live in. Lord
we pray we do not fool ourselves and others by saying we are Christians
while we do not manifest Christ in us. We pray the Fruits of the Spirit are
manifested as the light which overcomes the darkness...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your
good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

James 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

2 Corinthians 4:6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of
darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to [give] the light of the knowledge
of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

The Enemy Within

John 12:42 Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him;
but because of the Pharisees they did not confess [him], lest they should
be put out of the synagogue:

People always think of enemy as those outside, every country uses the
maximum resources to fight the enemy at its borders but if we look in
reality the one who does the maximum harm to the country is not those
outside its borders but the few who are within its borders.

In the Church everyone calls the pagans as devil worshippers which no
doubts is not wrong but they do not realize the one whom they worship is
more active within the Church and not amongst them.

In the book of revelation we find the seven letters to the seven Churches
which are the seven phases of the Church we see the second phase of the
Church (300AD-400AD) is accused to be the temple of Satan but the third
phase (400AD – 1500AD) we see it is called not the temple but called the
throne of Satan from where he rules.

Yesterday I was attending service and an ad flashed in my mind wherein a
teacher who is herself not educated well is teaching English words to the
students. She spells the word ‘apple’ as ‘APIL’ and the students learn the
same. She took the pronunciation as she says it and wrote it. The students
now were spreading her errors. This is what is happening in Churches.
Pastors are misinterpreting scriptures because they are learning the Greek
and Hebrew understanding of Biblical words from people who have not even a
little understanding of these languages. The basic understanding of how to
interpret scriptures, or biblical words too is lacked by them.

The reason I spoke of this is because these are not simple errors for if
one goes to correct them, they will treat you as a heretic and socially
boycott you from the Church that is if they do not tell you to stop coming.
The purpose of their life to bring people closer to God is changed to
keeping people at a distance from God. They literally come to a stage ‘see
and know God from where I am standing, do not try to get closer’.

Obedience to authority is advised by God but then they do not realize God
Himself lifted His Name and His Word above Himself. If God submits to His
Word then can we submit to people who go against the Word?

Respect and submission is not the same. Respect people especially those in
authority but submit only to those who lead us to God, not those who take
us far from Him.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord God You are Almighty and Holy God. You alone Lord are perfect and even
Jesus as man said He is was not perfect even though there was no blemish in
Him. Lord let us not measure ourselves according to others but understand
only in You alone is perfection thus we need to be more and more like You....

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Matthew 23:23-35
23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of
mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier [matters] of the
law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to
leave the other undone.
24 [Ye] blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.
25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the
outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of
extortion and excess.
26 [Thou] blind Pharisee, cleanse first that [which is] within the cup and
platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.
27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto
whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within
full of dead [men’s] bones, and of all uncleanness.
28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are
full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the
tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,
30 And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have
been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of
them which killed the prophets.
32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.
33 [Ye] serpents, [ye] generation of vipers, how can ye escape the
damnation of hell?
34 Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes:
and [some] of them ye shall kill and crucify; and [some] of them shall ye
scourge in your synagogues, and persecute [them] from city to city:
35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth,
from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of
Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

Mark 10:18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? [there is]
none good but one, [that is], God.

Matthew 16:6 Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven
of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

Power in Praying

Mark 14: 40 And again he came, and found them sleeping, for their eyes
were very heavy; and they knew not what to answer him.

In the Bible we find the most powerful prayer of Jesus were His shortest
prayer and it were just the words ‘thank You Father’. Jesus Himself said
believe and receive, so when our faith is stronger then our prayers are
shorter.

Many years back being part of an evangelical ministry we started the trend
of ‘Prayer Walks’ in India. We had organized members of various Churches to
walk and pray through the suburbs of Mumbai. Being a whole night affair we
with over enthusiasm took a distance of almost 25km. 6 times over various
weeks some of the members did cover this distance while praying and for the
final walk we gathered a large crowd.

On the final day we saw the crowd were most ladies and were aged so we
organized buses and this caused some logistics issues so the distance was
also reduced to little over half the original distance. The walk started
with people walking and buses with elders following, later due to traffic
issues all were inside the buses and driving at slow speed as the crowd
stretched their hands out and prayed for the people in the areas we passed.

This prayer walk did cause a lot of change in the city. Within days we saw
Pastors of various Churches getting together and doing night prayer walks
and so also the people of various Churches. The people themselves saw
changes happening in their respective areas and their congregations
increasing. Some Churches who did not want to do the walks started taking
up certain areas and praying for them over a weeks or months.

In all this I had a personal problem when we were organizing the prayer
walk, ‘How to prayer for the whole night?’ My prayer time was always short,
yet effective. I knew God was not deaf and even the desires of my heart
were a times answered. In the starting my problem was not what to pray but
how to pray so long on the same thing. Bit when the prayer walk started I
did not realize there were so many things I was not aware of that the Lord
started leading me to pray for and I hardly repeated my prayer yet was
praying and praying nonstop.

In today’s message we see Jesus knew of the things that were to come thus
could pray while His disciples who were unaware thus could not last for
even a short time. Jesus had asked them to pray for just 3hrs and they
could not for even an hour since every time Jesus came to check on them, He
found them asleep.

To really pray (not speaking of rattling away senselessly without faith) is
not possible for man by himself and thus need the help of the Holy Spirit.
It is only one is led by the Holy Spirit a person can pray as the Spirit
leads.

Some ask, why God needs us to pray when God knows everything and it is He
who answers the prayers.

We need to understand when God created us He gave us dominance of this
world. So He respects our dominance and does not force His ways around, He
requires us to take it up for Him to intervene.

Let us not pray only for ‘our’ things and ‘my’ problems, let us realize
this whole world was given unto us and we are responsible for it. Satan
rules this world when we are unaware of our rights, so let us take
ownership of what is given unto us, also let us remember just sitting in a
room and praying is hot what we are called for, that is why after a time
Jesus stopped and asked them to move. The Kingdom of God is a Kingdom of
action.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty, Omnipotent and Omnipresent God. You know all and see
all yet You require man to ask You in prayer for You to intervene. Lord we
pray we understand the power of prayer and we also understand we need to
not only pray but also act in authority for You called us to be Princes...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Genesis 1:27-28
27 So God created man in his [own] image, in the image of God created he
him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and
multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over
the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living
thing that moveth upon the earth.

Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer,
believing, ye shall receive.

Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and
supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Luke 18:2-5,8
2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither
regarded man:
3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying,
Avenge me of mine adversary.
4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself,
Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her
continual coming she weary me.
8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son
of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

Crucifixion fulfillment

Mark 14:13 And they cried out again, Crucify him.

Crucifixion was not a Jewish concept the worse punishment allotted by them
was stoning a person to death. Crucifixion was promoted by the Romans as a
deterrence to suppress any mutiny by the Jews thus they constructed
permanent crucifixes outside the main cities, these were not made of wood
but of stone. People were tied on to these crucifies and left to die over
long periods being pecked by the birds. The concept of crucifixion was
started by the Assyrians and they did on simple poles later they
intensified this torture by making the person sit on pointed poles which
slowly pierced them through the body (something they did during the times
of Isaiah). They would even skin the prisoners of war alive or spare them
only after gouging an eye of the person, it was for this reason Jonah did
want to take the message of repentance to Nineveh which was the capital of
the Assyrian Kingdom.

We talk of Hitler being an evil tyrant in history but do realize he was
inspired by the Assyrians and hardly competed with them.

At the time of Jesus’ crucifixion since it was a feast and people gathered
in masses they had executed crucifixion to many, so all the permanent
crucifixes were occupied (some historians state as there were 9) thus they
had to organize a temporary wooden one for Jesus, by doing this they
fulfilled scriptures and Jesus had to be nailed on the cross to became YHWH
(Yahweh) which in Hebrew means ‘Behold the Hand Behold the Nail’ (every
alphabet is an ideogram).

In the Bible not only the Prophets fulfilled prophecies but also the
oppressors of God’s people and the people themselves fulfilled them.. Just
fulfilling a prophecy is not important, what part we take in its
fulfillment is.

We live in a time when many prophecies are coming to pass and the Lord is
asking us are we aware what role are we playing in their fulfillment? Are
we playing the role of the people who shouted ‘crucify Him’, or the people
who did that job, or some other role, let us give thought to it.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. Your Word is complete and set the timeline of
mankind. It is not all about fulfilling your Word but what part of its
fulfillment that is important. We pray Lord we do not find ourselves
playing the roles of Pharaoh, Balaam, Jezebel etc. in the prophecy...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Matthew 26:2 Ye know that after two days is [the feast of] the passover,
and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.

Matthew 27:35 And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting
lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They
parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.

Divisions amongst Churches

John 7:42,43 Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of
David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was? So there was a
division among the people because of him.

I have mentioned before the seven letters in Revelations, written to the
seven Churches in Asia Minor are actually the seven eras/phases of the
Church. It starts with Ephesus (means permitted / authorized) and ends with
Laodiceans (means judgment of the people). We currently moved from the 5th
phase Sardis (means red ones - the evangelical phase) to the 6th phase
Philadelphia (means brotherly love - where the Church comes together). The
word ‘Asia’ means ‘Orient’ a term given to the quality pearls which
apparently came from the east. The regions of Asia Minor mentioned were
trading regions for these pearls during the Roman era. Biblically the term
‘Asia’ / ‘quality pearl’ is used for the Church as whole.

In the 17th century when the Evangelical movement started we saw many set
the foundation for various Churches like the Baptist, Methodist,
Pentecostal and other denominations of the Church. We do speak of the great
achievements of these people but we fail to realize these people had a lack
of clear understanding of scriptures due to which they created
denominations.

In today’s message we find a similar situation amongst people who saw Jesus
through different viewpoints (scriptures) none of them were wrongs but none
of them were fully right either. They knew in part and thought their part
was the only right, they had the simple option of discussing and asking
Christ Himself about it but they did not, they opted instead to fight
amongst each other.

In 2017 the Sardis / Evangelical movement faded away and the Philadelphia /
Brotherly Oneness started for we see Churches are coming together to stand
on common understandings. They are ignoring or keeping aside their
differences and working to come together as one Church. This may sound good
but is not a long term solution, the main reason is they still idolize the
respective founders of their denominations.

I am happy I fellowship in a Church which openly declares not to follow any
denomination even though it carries the name of one. When the 5th phase of
the Church ended we read one out of 4 Christians were evangelizing, one
Christian site put the figure about 619million were considered as
evangelical in 2016.

As ‘Protestants’ we declare the 5 Solas of the Reformation movement and
uphold Sola Scriptura (only Scriptures) as base of our understanding, yet
we put the denomination founders above scriptures.

Let us only look up to Christ, His Spirit and His Word and set our
understanding likewise, if we do this then we will be of one mind and one
understanding, thus seeing the glory of God as written in the Word of God.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You are above factors like time and space thus
You are Omnipresent and know all. You gave us your Word, which is perfect
like You. We pray Lord we depend only on your Word and your Spirit thus
putting down every other idol we have created in our hearts so that we be
of one mind and one understanding, thus get to see the glory of God on
earth...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Revelation 1: 10-11,19-20
10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great
voice, as of a trumpet,
11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou
seest, write in a book, and send [it] unto the seven churches which are in
Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira,
and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.
19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and
the things which shall be hereafter;
20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and
the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven
churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven
churches.

Romans 12:16 [Be] of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high
things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own
conceits.

Philippians 1:27 Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel
of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear
of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving
together for the faith of the gospel;

Christ the Stumbling Rock and Rock of Offence

John 7:12 And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him:
for some said, He is a good man: others said, Nay; but he deceiveth the
people.

I have mentioned before in my previous messages that both God and Satan
want to kill us and both want us to enjoy life. God wants us to die to our
carnal life so that we can live and enjoy eternal spirit life, on the other
hand Satan wants us to enjoy our carnal life so that we see death (decay)
in our spirit and do not receive eternal life.

In today’s message we see there was two kinds of responses amongst the
people towards Jesus. Some amongst them found Him a good man and others a
deceiver. Jesus did not do partiality between them but treated all the
same, yet their response towards Him was different.

Both Paul and Peter wrote about Jesus being the ‘Stumbling-stone’ and the
‘Rock of Offence’ but each one gave another view of Him, it was not that
one was right and the other wrong but both were right. The view of Jesus
depends on what is there in the state of the heart of the person. If we set
our hearts are set right then Christ is our Savior else He becomes our
Punisher (one who judges and exposes us).

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty and Merciful God. In your mercy You gave us a chance
to change and also made available a way when there was no way. You Lord in
your abundant mercy want to build us to greater blessings. We pray Lord we
set our hearts right unto You so that we fall on the Rock but do not be
crushed by the Rock...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Romans 9:33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and
rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

1 Peter 2:8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, [even to
them] which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they
were appointed.

Matthew 21:43-44
43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you,
and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on
whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

The Power of Knowing Him

John 18:6-9 As soon then as he had said unto them, I am [he], they went
backward, and fell to the ground. Then asked he them again, Whom seek ye?
And they said, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus answered, I have told you that I am
[he]: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way:

I have shared before the word bless in Hebrew ‘Barak’ is also translated as
cruse in more than 1 place. I have also pointed out that when we bless we
do not add or subtract from a person’s life for God has set all things from
the beginning, we only quicken things according to the blessing. So when we
bless someone we need to speak out the blessing like people did in the
Bible.

We see a similar dual effect on people in the presence of Angels, those who
were not knowing God were fearful, shaken and even almost dead, but those
who knew God had little effect. Even coming to knowing Jesus can be both
good and bad. Those who repent in their hearts and follow God see goodness
in their lives but those who are stiff-necked find life getting worse and
worse.

In today’s message we read when the soldiers came to arrest Jesus and Jesus
said He is the one, we see the impact of His acknowledgment caused them to
fall on the ground.

In His second coming also it is written when He comes He declares Himself
with a shout of an Archangel and this causes all beings to submit unto His
acknowledgement, Bible says every knee shall bow, every tongue confesses
Jesus Christ is Lord.

Today the Lord asks us, what will be the effect of knowing Him more in our
lives, will we see an increase or will we see a disaster? What is our heart
condition?

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. The Heavens are your abode and nothing with
blemish or corrupt can exist in presence of your glory and that is why You
exiled man from Heaven after he sinned. We pray Lord we set our hearts
right before You so that we only experience goodness in presence of You...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Matthew 28:2-5
2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord
descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door,
and sat upon it.
3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:
4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead [men].
5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know
that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

Deuteronomy 5:23-28
23 And it came to pass, when ye heard the voice out of the midst of the
darkness, (for the mountain did burn with fire,) that ye came near unto me,
[even] all the heads of your tribes, and your elders;
24 And ye said, Behold, the LORD our God hath shewed us his glory and his
greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we
have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.
25 Now therefore why should we die? for this great fire will consume us:
if we hear the voice of the LORD our God any more, then we shall die.
26 For who [is there of] all flesh, that hath heard the voice of the
living God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as we [have], and lived?
27 Go thou near, and hear all that the LORD our God shall say: and speak
thou unto us all that the LORD our God shall speak unto thee; and we will
hear [it], and do [it].
28 And the LORD heard the voice of your words, when ye spake unto me; and
the LORD said unto me, I have heard the voice of the words of this people,
which they have spoken unto thee: they have well said all that they have
spoken.

Exodus 24:2,15-17
2 And Moses alone shall come near the LORD: but they shall not come nigh;
neither shall the people go up with him.
15 And Moses went up into the mount, and a cloud covered the mount.
16 And the glory of the LORD abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered
it six days: and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of the midst of
the cloud.
17 And the sight of the glory of the LORD [was] like devouring fire on the
top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel.

Why did Christ transfigure?

Luke 9:28 And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he
took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.

We all know about Jesus Christ taking Peter, John and James to the mountain
and when He transfigured we give importance to the foolish suggestions made
by His disciple Peter on seeing the transfigured Christ talking to Moses
and Elijah.

Transfiguration is one of the least understood incident by Christians. Many
think Jesus transformed to His divine form and that is wrong. We know only
after Judgment Day He will revert to His glorious form which He had before
He humbled Himself.

If we study the description of the transfigured Jesus Christ is the same as
the Angels of the Lord who are spirit beings. We need to understand there
was no need of Jesus to take Peter, John and James with Him other than
making them witnesses to His transfiguration. Jesus spoke with Moses and
Elijah but that conversation was not heard or recorded thus was not
important for us to know. So in short Jesus wanted the three disciples to
see and be witnesses to the fact that He could transfigure. He even told
them not to share about this incident until His death and resurrection
which they did abide by.

In this incident we see both Moses and Elijah had also appeared and the
disciples knew it was them even though they had never seen them before and
in those days there did not exist photographs for identification.

In the OT we read Samuel who was a great man of God after his death had not
ascended to Heaven but was written he slept and when Saul tried to
communicate with him, he rose from his sleep, it is written we rose up
meaning the place he slept was below our level of creation but was not Hell
(since no man can come out of Hell – only Christ could and thus broke the
curse of Hell in the lives of those who believe in Him). Even Stephen in NT
after he asked the Lord to receive him, it is written he slept. Paul says
we who are in Christ will sleep in Him to rise on His coming again. Jesus
said we will become like the Angels after resurrection and He also said not
to fear for He had overcome, thus we too will one day overcome.

Transfiguration is also touched on by Paul who speaks of the great mystery
where in on the day of Christ’s coming some of those who exist will
transform / transfigure. We also see those who come with Christ are in some
scriptures noted as Angels and some scriptures recorded as Saints (devote
men).

We as humans were exiled from Heaven after we sinned but will return to
Heaven not as humans but someone more glorious and that is why Bible says
unless we are not transformed / born again in spirit we cannot enter the
Kingdom of God. We also know that Christ as man transfigured so we too will
one day for He is our Chief Prince.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are Spirit and so also is the Upper
Heavens and all that dwell in them. We pray Lord we understand the reason
why You emphasis on overcoming the flesh and our love for earthly things so
that we are transformed in spirit to a more glorious beings and thus have
access to the Heavenly Kingdom...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Luke 9:28-36

Matthew 17:2,9
2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and
his raiment was white as the light.
9 And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying,
Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the
dead.

Mark 9:3 And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no
fuller on earth can white them.

Matthew 28:2-6
2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord
descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door,
and sat upon it.
3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:
4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead [men].
5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know
that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where
the Lord lay.

1 Samuel 28:11,12,15
11 Then said the woman, Whom shall I bring up unto thee? And he said,
Bring me up Samuel.
12 And when the woman saw Samuel, she cried with a loud voice: and the
woman spake to Saul, saying, Why hast thou deceived me? for thou [art] Saul..
15 And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up?
And Saul answered, I am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war
against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither
by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest
make known unto me what I shall do.

Acts 7:60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not
this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

1 Thessalonians 3:13 To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in
holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus
Christ with all his saints.

Matthew 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father
with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

Matthew 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in
marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

False witnessing

Mark 14:56 For many bare false witness against him, but their witness
agreed not together.

Yesterday a person (camouflaging as a Christian) in a Christian FB group
put comments on one of my posts about the ‘friends’ (disciples) of Jesus
hiding his body and claiming to not find it and thus claiming His
resurrection.

Being in Apologetics I am used to people making such claims and this
concept comes primarily from the Islamic section since their ‘prophet’
wrote against Jesus’ death and resurrection in the later days but in his
earlier writing he wrote ‘Isa’ (name he gave to Jesus) stating as a small
infant that he would ‘die and come back to life’. Throughout the Quran we
see the same issue of him agreeing in his earlier text when his situation
was not good and then disagreeing later when he had a larger following, it
is for this reason his disciples/followers do the same in the countries
they migrate to.

Historically there are many writings by people during the time of Jesus who
noted about His death and resurrection. We have non-Christians also making
note of how those who witnessed Him after His death were persecuted even
unto death but feared not to speak what they claimed to have seen. Jesus
had more than a hundred persons who personally encountered Him after His
resurrection in those 40days before He ascended to Heaven many amongst
these were women (the least expected witnesses).

We may not want to believe those followed Him stating they lied even in
death, but can we disregard those who hated Him yet acknowledged the events
that happened? Today’s message we read about a similar situation wherein
the Jewish religious leaders who hated Jesus called for witnesses against
Jesus and heard many who made false claims against Him but could not prove
it so had to disregard their claims ultimately they condemned Him to death
for blasphemy.

Let us be bold to preach Christ for He is not only a belief that is
‘spiritual’ but also a reality which can be proved historically in all
aspects. There are many incidents of those who hated Him the most later
became His strongest followers and that con not be ignored.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord in all your wisdom made sure that what
was said was accurately recorded across ages so that people tampering with
it was eliminated. You in your time bought to light things that was hidden
so that the faith of your people is protected and increases...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Psalms 27:12 Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false
witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.

Matthew 26:59-65
59 Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false
witness against Jesus, to put him to death;
60 But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, [yet] found they
none. At the last came two false witnesses,
61 And said, This [fellow] said, I am able to destroy the temple of God,
and to build it in three days.
62 And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing?
what [is it which] these witness against thee?
63 But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto
him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the
Christ, the Son of God.
64 Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you,
Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power,
and coming in the clouds of heaven.
65 Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken
blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have
heard his blasphemy.

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, when the Holy Spirit is come upon
you: and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea and
Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Acts 2:32 This Jesus did God raise up, whereof we all are witnesses.

Acts 3:15 and killed the Prince of life; whom God raised from the dead;
whereof we are witnesses.

Acts 10:39 And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the
country of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom also they slew, hanging him on
a tree.

Hebrews 12:1 Therefore let us also, seeing we are compassed about with so
great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth
so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set
before us,
