 May 23, 2017
President Donald Trump, speaking at a joint press conference with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem Tuesday, proclaimed the historical connection of the Jewish people to the Land of Israel, invoking the reign of King David.

Trump then continued with his theme of demanding that Muslim leaders stop supporting terror, assuring Jewish leaders that he is firmly committed to “halting” Iran’s support of terrorists and militias, in a clear reference to the Iranian government’s arming and funding of Hezbollah and Hamas.

Trump in Israel to ‘Reaffirm Unbreakable Bond with Israel’
May 22, 2017
Israel-US relations
Middle East peace
Trump conveyed “the warmest greetings from your friend and ally, all of the people in the United States” at the welcoming ceremony at Ben Gurion Airport.
“On my first trip overseas as president, I have come to this sacred and ancient land to reaffirm the unbreakable bond between the United States and the State of Israel,” Trump stated at a welcoming ceremony hosted by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Reuven Rivlin.
“I am deeply grateful for your invitation and am very, very honored to be with you,” Trump said. “We love Israel, we respect Israel and I send your people the warmest greetings from your friend and ally, all of the people in the United States of America.”
“It is wonderful to be here in Israel,” he continued. “In this land so rich in history, Israel has built one of the world’s great civilizations, a strong, resilient, determined and prosperous nation.”
“It is also a nation forged in the commitment that we will never allow the horrors and atrocities of the last century to be repeated,” he added, on obvious reference to the Holocaust.
The US leader also briefly discussed his desire to see the region at peace.
‘New Reasons for Hope’
Referring to his visit to Saudi Arabia over the weekend, Trump said he has “found new reasons for hope” and “reached historic agreements to pursue greater and greater cooperation in the fight against terrorism and its evil ideology.”
Trump’s next stops on his first trip abroad as US president are the Vatican and a NATO summit in Belgium.
“We have before us a rare opportunity to bring security and stability and peace to this region and to its people, defeating terrorism and creating a future of harmony, prosperity and peace,” he stressed. “We must work together to build a future in which the nations of the region are at peace, and all of our children can grow, and grow up strong, and grow up free from terrorism and violence. But we can only get there working together. There is no other way.”

Hamas rejected Trump’s branding of it as a terror organization, like ISIS and Al Qaeda.
https://unitedwithisrael.org/hamas-accuses-trump-of-bias-towards-israel/?
The Hamas terror group accused US President Donald Trump of exposing his bias towards Israel, after Trump included Hamas in a list of terrorist groups that he said posed a global threat of “epic proportions.”

In a speech delivered to some 50 leaders of Arab and Muslim-majority countries in the Saudi capital of Riyadh on Sunday, Trump said: “We now face a humanitarian and security disaster in this region that is spreading across the planet. It is a tragedy of epic proportions.”

“No description of the suffering and depravity can begin to capture its full measure. The true toll of ISIS, Al Qaeda, Hezbollah, Hamas, and so many others, must be counted not only in the number of dead. It must also be counted in generations of vanished dreams,” he said, in his first speech delivered abroad since taking office.

He implored Middle Eastern countries to extinguish what he called “Islamic extremism” emanating from the region, describing the conflict as a “battle between good and evil.”

Trump also briefly referred to his upcoming meetings with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority head Mahmoud Abbas, who was in attendance at the summit. “If these three (Abrahamic) faiths can join, peace in this world is possible, including peace between Israel and the Palestinians,” Trump said.

Hamas reacted to the speech by stating that Trump’s designation of Hamas as a terrorist organization “is biased” and is in compliance “with the Israeli Occupation’s policies.”

“Trump’s remarks will not thwart our goal of liberating Palestine, nor will they hinder our people’s steadfastness and resistance,” Hamas stated.

Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum said from Gaza City that Trump’s remarks are a “misrepresentation of facts.” He dubbed the speech a “confirmation” that Trump is following the policy of previous administrations.

Hamas is designated as a terrorist organization by Israel, the US, European Union (EU), and UK, as well as other countries.

Hamas has repeatedly declared that its ultimate goal is to destroy the Jewish State and that it aspires to establish an Islamic state in its stead, while attempting to style itself as a Palestinian national movement.

Are Trump’s Promises to Israel Foretold in the Bible?
MAY 21, 2017
(By Tzippe Barrow) Donald and Melania Trump’s first stop on their premier international tour benefitted royalty. That’s how it was planned and that’s how it’s being orchestrated.  Saudi Arabia ‘put on the dog’ for the president and his contingency, welcoming them with as much flare as the monarchy could muster up. They wanted the world to see how seriously they take their
newfound friendship with President Trump and his efforts to spread goodwill among the world’s three great monotheistic religions.   Americans are thrilled with the respect shown its president. And they believe it will produce a joint effort to fight the message of radical Islamic extremism. Amid all the finery and lavish display, the Saudis pressed their point at a joint press conference with U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir, who touted Trump’s “new approach and determination” to end the Israeli-Arab conflict.

Trump pulled into Saudi Arabia and Iran conflict that could cause World War 3
MAY 21, 2017
Donald Trump has been sucked into the murky, hate-fuelled tensions between Saudi Arabia and Iran as the threat of World War Three igniting in the Middle East edges ever closer.  Iran’s foreign minister Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif launched an attack on Saudi Arabia earlier today, urging President Trump to ask his Saudi
counterparts “who knocked down the World Trade centre”. Saudi King Salman shot back during a speech in Riyadh, at which President Trump also gave a mammoth talk on peace in the Middle East.  President Trump also blamed the Iranians for unsettling the Middle East, sponsoring Islamic State and being the key road block to peace. In the same breath, the 70-year-old signed a $400 billion deal with Iran that includes $110 billion worth of state-of-the-art weapons and defence systems.

ALERT: Palestinian Factions Call For ‘Day Of Rage’ During Trump Visit
MAY 21, 2017
Palestinian factions in the West Bank are calling for “A Day of Rage” to coincide with US President Donald Trump’s visit to Bethlehem on Tuesday, where he is expected to meet with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.  Trump, who is currently in Saudi Arabia for his first international trip since taking office in January, will arrive in Israel on Monday and meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu where the two are expected to discuss prospects for peace
negotiations and security issues.  One Palestinian organization, called the Islamic and National Forces, initiated the “Rage Day” call in a statement in conjunction with other West Bank factions, saying that they want to send a message to the American president that “the Palestinian people insist on their right to self-determination and national independence with east Jerusalem as its sovereign capital.”

Next Stop For Trump Is Israel, In Pursuit Of ‘ULTIMATE DEAL’
MAY 22, 2017
President Donald Trump has cast the elusive pursuit of peace between Israelis and Palestinians as the “ultimate deal.” But he will step foot in Israel having offered few indications of how he plans to achieve what so many of his predecessors could not.  Trump has handed son-in-law Jared Kushner and longtime business lawyer Jason Greenblatt the assignment of
charting the course toward a peace process. The White House-driven effort is a sharp shift from the practice of previous U.S. administrations that typically gave secretaries of state those responsibilities. Kushner and Greenblatt were to accompany Trump on his two-day visit, set to begin Monday and include separate meetings with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. Trump also planned to visit the Holocaust memorial Yad Vashem and the Western Wall, an important Jewish holy site.

Trump shakes hands with Saudi leader, doesn't bow as Obama appeared to do
Published May 20, 2017 Fox News
 split.jpg
President Trump upon arriving in Saudi Arabia on Saturday did not bow to the Gulf leader as former President Barack Obama appeared to do -- a move interpreted as American weakness.

In 2009, Obama appeared to bow to then-Saudi leader King Abdullah at a G-20 summit in London.

Videos show Obama bending at the waist toward the king. The White House at the time purportedly denied that the president had bowed, with a source saying Obama was taller than the king, so he had to lean.

Trump's visit to Saudi Arabia marks the start to his nine-day, overseas tour that will also take him to Israel and Europe. The international trip is Trump’s first since taking office in January.

Trump was greeted at the Saudi airport with an elaborate ceremony, punctuated by a military flyover and a handshake from Saudi King Salman.

First lady Melania Trump wore a black pantsuit with a golden belt and did not cover her head for the arrival, consistent with custom for foreign dignitaries visiting Saudi Arabia.

The 81-year-old King Salman greeted Trump at the airport. The two leaders exchanged pleasantries and Trump said it was "a great honor" to be there.

“Two things need to happen,” Zuhdi Jasser, founder of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy, told Fox News on Saturday about Trump’s trip. “President Trump needs to shore up our alliance with the Sunnis who feel abandon, and that starts with Saudi Arabia. And in the short-term, he needs to create a coalition that will decimate and defeat ISIS.”

Obama critics said the former president suggested several times in 2009, just after getting elected, that the United States owed the Arab world an apology.

“There have been times when America has shown arrogance … even dismissiveness,” Obama said that year in France.

Saudi Arabia offered Trump the elaborate welcome ahead of his two-day stay. Billboards featuring images of Trump and the king dotted the highways of Riyadh, emblazoned with the motto "Together we prevail."

Trump's luxury hotel was bathed in red, white and blue lights and, at times, an image of the president's face.

Trump and the king met briefly in the airport terminal for a coffee ceremony before the president headed to his hotel before the day's other meetings.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Donald Trump tells Arab leaders: Fight against terror a ‘battle between good and evil’

By Jonathan Lemire And Julie Pace The Associated Press

WATCH ABOVE: Trump talks about need to combat terrorism; battle between good, evil

- A A  +
Listen
RIYADH, Saudi Arabia – President Donald Trump called on Middle Eastern leaders to combat a “crisis of Islamic extremism” emanating from the region, casting the fight against terrorism as a “battle between good and evil,” not a clash between the West and Islam.

Trump’s address Sunday was the centerpiece of his two-day visit to Saudi Arabia, his first stop overseas as president. During a meeting of more than 50 Arab and Muslim leaders, he sought to chart a new course for America’s role in the region, one aimed squarely on rooting out terrorism, with less focus on promoting human rights and democratic reforms.

“We are not here to lecture – we are not here to tell other people how to live, what to do, who to be, or how to worship,” Trump said, speaking in an ornate, multi-chandeliered room. “Instead, we are here to offer partnership – based on shared interests and values – to pursue a better future for us all.”

Even as the president pledged to work alongside Middle Eastern nations, he put the onus for combatting terrorism on the region. Bellowing into the microphone, he implored Muslim leaders to aggressively fight extremists: “Drive them out of your places of worship. Drive them out of your communities.”

The president has been enthusiastically embraced in Riyadh, where the ruling royal family has welcomed his tougher stance on Iran, its regional foe. Sitting alongside Trump, Saudi King Salman declared, “The Iranian regime has been the spearhead of global terrorism.”

For Trump, the visit has been a welcome escape from the crush of controversies that have consumed his administration in recent weeks. He’s been besieged by a series of revelations about the ongoing federal investigation into his campaign’s possible ties to Russia and his decision to fire FBI Director James Comey, who had been overseeing the Russia probe.

Trump’s trip to Saudi Arabia also served as something of a reset with the region following his presidential campaign, which was frequently punctured by bouts of anti-Islamic rhetoric. He once mused that he thought “Islam hates us.”

Trump Signs $110 Billion Arms Deal with Saudi Arabia
MAY 20, 2017
President Trump in Saudi Arabia on Saturday signed a nearly $110 billion arms deal to help the Persian Gulf ally with its military-defense system. “The package includes defense equipment and other support to help the Arab nation and the rest of the Gulf region again the threat of a nuclear-armed Iran terrorism,” according to the White House.
Trump during his winning presidential campaign and in the first several months of his presidency has argued the United States can no longer be the world’s police officer and that other nations must become more self-sufficient in efforts to combat terrorism and in protecting themselves against rogue nations like Iran and North Korea.
