A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
If you don't have wrinkles, you have not laughed enough.

CUSTOMS — GOD IS ECHAD
"Hear, O Israel! The LORD our GOD, the LORD is ONE!" [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 6. 4 Tanakh, Torah]

The Hebrew word used here for one is "echad" meaning united one. HEBREW SCRIPTURES teach the concept of plurality in GOD; that is to say, that the ONE GOD manifests HIMSELF in THREE PERSONS: The HEAVENLY FATHER — THE SOURCE of all things. As the ANGEL OF THE LORD, the WORD OF GOD, the MESSIAH, the ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD, the VISIBLE REVELATION & EXPRESSION; and, the HOLY SPIRIT— THE COMFORTER & TEACHER.

These THREE constitute a UNITY (echad). To have a unity in the connotation of "echad" there must be a plurality — for instance: when CREATOR GOD made Adam and Eve, HE stated that they shall be "echad" (one) — a unity composed of two persons. At the Tower of Babel, YEHOWAH said, "All the people are echad (one) and the language echad (one) to all of them." [Genesis/Bereshith) 11. 6]

OLD COVENANT SCRIPTURES describe the GODHEAD as composed of three co-eternal and co-equal PERSONS WHO are the same in subsistence, but distinct in substance. There are three names for GOD which include these THREE PERSONS: ELOHIYM, YEHOWAH, and EL SHADDAI.

The tri-unity of GOD is implied in Aaron's priestly benediction: "YEHOWAH bless you and keep you (the FATHER). YEHOWAH make HIS face to shine upon you and be gracious to you (the SON). YEHOWAH lift up HIS countenance upon you and give you peace (the HOLY SPIRIT)." [Numbers (B'Midvar) 6. 24 - 26 Tanakh, Torah]

All three PERSONS of the GODHEAD are seen in the following texts: "Come near to ME, hear this — I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, I was there. And now the LORD GOD and HIS SPIRIT have sent ME (MESSIAH YESHUA)." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 48. 15 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"For HE said — Surely they are MY people, children who will not lie. — So HE became their SAVIOR. In all their affliction HE was afflicted, and the ANGEL OF HIS PRESENCE saved them; in HIS love and in HIS pity HE redeemed them; and HE bore them and carried them all the days of old. But they rebelled and grieved HIS HOLY SPIRIT; so HE turned HIMSELF against them as an enemy, and HE fought against them." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 63. 8 - 10 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

It is thrilling to note that the Hebrew letter "sheen" — the initial letter of the name for GOD (SHADDAI, means all sufficient) was formerly taken by the Jews to represent the manner of DIVINE existence: It is composed of three perpendicular strokes, with one to unite them (Sheen: \\\ )!

In pronouncing the priestly or Aaronic Benediction the Rabbis today lift their hands in blessing over the people. The hands are held with the fingers of each hand depicting three strokes joined together, as in the letter sheen, which in turn represents the NAME OF GOD. As stated, the letter sheen is composed of three perpendicular strokes with one to unite them. How vividly the hand symbolizes the NAME OF GOD (represented by the letter Sheen) and also the trinity: THREE-in-ONE, ONE-in-THREE!

It is claimed that in BIBLE times when a king issued a decree, it was always given in the plural form, indicating the will of the kingdom in issuing this decree. This idea (the plural of majesty) is quite prevalent among many religious teachers. To this idea there seems to be some serious objections.

A Hebrew teacher was asked what the Jewish scholars did with the expression "ELOHIYM" — found many times in the first chapter of the book of Genesis/Bereshith. He answered that it was the custom in the BIBLICAL times to speak of the king and of the kingdom, and of the things done in the kingdom in a plural form. All documents, the teacher replied, were issued in this manner.

Attention was then called to the experiences found in the books of Ezra and Nehemiah. It is stated in these books that Cyrus, Darius and Artaxerxes each issued a decree. These three men were the kings of the Medes and Persians. In none of these decrees issued, do the kings speak of themselves in the plural form. It is always, "I, Cyrus" or "I, Darius" or "I, Artaxerxes." [2 Chronicles/Dibre Hayamin Bet 36. 22 - 23; Ezra 6. 1 - 8; 7. 11 - 13; 6. 14]

HOLY OMNISCIENT, OMNIPOTENT, OMNIPRESENT GOD, the ALPHA & OMEGA is TRINITY. HE is both ONE and THREE. However, HE is not both ONE and THREE in the same respect. GOD is ONE as to HIS essence of being, but THREE as to hypostases, persons, and modes of life and functioning. The human mind has a triune constitution — it is made up of the intellect, the sensibility, and the will — three minds, but of one mind.

Many times GOD called HIMSELF the GOD OF ABRAHAM, the GOD OF ISAAC and the GOD OF JACOB. HE seemed to love to reveal HIMSELF through this name, this is the revelation of the FATHER, SON and HOLY SPIRIT — for Abram means the exalted father who became Abraham, the father of a multitude. Isaac means laughter. He was the promised son, the JOY of the father. Jacob is known as the heel grabber or supplanter — the one who became "Israel" or a prince with GOD — and this speaks of the work of the HOLY SPIRIT.

Three is the numerical "signature" of the DIVINE BEING. GOD has stamped HIS signature on the universe HE created (Time: past, present, future; Kingdoms: animal, vegetable, mineral; Views: earth, sea, sky; Forms Matter Assumes: solid, liquid, gas; Colours to One Ray of Light: blue, red, yellow; etc.)

Also, there is the three-fold constitution of man proclaims the TRI-PERSONAL GOD WHO created him in HIS OWN IMAGE. The Sh'ma, expressing the TRI-UNITY of the GODHEAD, leads the command calling upon man's threefold nature: Spirit (hearts sensitivity to the SPIRIT OF GOD), Soul (eternal human characterization, disposition, essence) and Might (body, flesh) to love his TRIUNE CREATOR GOD!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
We use all of our senses to bid farewell to Shabbat with the Havdalah (“difference”) Service; we taste the wine, smell the spices, see the shadows of candles, hear prayers & songs, and touch family and friends as we wish them Tov Shavua — Have a good week!
Go with GOD!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
In the beginning GOD wished to render justice, but when HE observed that the world could not rest on justice, HE rendered mercy. [TALMUD, Rosh ha'Shanah 17]

GOSPEL PREACHED TO THE WORLD
"He who endures to the end shall be saved. And the GOSPEL of the Kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come." [Matthew 24. 12 - 14]

The MOST HIGH GOD OF HEAVEN is faithful in all things. "There is no other god besides ME, a JUST GOD and a SAVIOR; no god exists besides ME. Turn to ME, and be saved, all ends of the earth! For I am GOD, and there is none else." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 45. 21 – 22 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The SOVEREIGN ETERNAL ONE desires that none be lost, and all come to the knowledge of the truth in saving faith. [1 Timothy 2. 4] "So HE became their SAVIOR. In all their troubles HE was afflicted, HIS OWN PRESENCE delivered them; in HIS love and in HIS pity HE redeemed them; and HE bore them and carried them all the days of old." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 63. 8 – 9 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "The STONE that the builders rejected has become the CHIEF CORNERSTONE. This was the LORD'S doing; it is marvelous in our sight." [Psalms (Tehillym) 118. 22 - 23 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Men were given the privilege of sharing the WONDROUS LIFE-GIVING MESSAGE that whoever believed would be saved. This GOOD NEWS had gone out from Judea, Samaria, then into the uttermost parts of the world, and continues today. The HOLY LORD has always had devoted followers with hearts willing to complete the great commission, which is still to "go into all the world and preach the GOSPEL to every creature!" [Mark 16. 15]

The prophets, apostles, disciples, missionaries and modern-day world evangelism thought the WORD had been spread completely by their teaching on radio, internet and television. However, the ALMIGHTY let it be known that it still is not complete. As you read the Book of Revelation, you find that GOD HIMSELF will be the ONE to assure the task is complete, for HE shows the way it will be accomplished HIS perfect and complete way.

Two Witnesses: The FAITHFUL & TRUE, the AUTHOR & FINISHER of our faith affirms: "And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees and the two lamp stands standing before the God of the earth." [Revelation 11. 3 - 4] When they finish their testimony, the beast from the bottomless pit will make war on them and kill them, but after three days, the BREATH OF LIFE from GOD will enter them and they will ascend into heaven in a cloud. [Revelation 11. 7 - 14]

144,000 Jewish Witnesses: The SAVIOR OF OLD has 144,000 un-defiled, virgin Jewish men "who follow the LAMB wherever HE goes. These were redeemed by MESSIAH from among men being first-fruits to GOD and to the LAMB. And in their mouth was found no guile, for they are without fault before the Throne of GOD." [Revelation 14. 4 – 5; 7. 1 - 8]

Remnant of the Woman's Seed: Again in Revelation we see that those who are left behind, will overcome Satan, the Accuser, by "the blood of the LAMB and by the word of their testimony" for they did not love their lives to the death. [Revelation 12. 11]

Three Angels' Announcement: "Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the EVERLASTING GOSPEL to preach to those who dwell on the earth — to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people saying with a loud voice — Fear GOD and give glory to HIM, for the hour of HIS judgment has come; and worship HIM WHO made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water." [Revelation 14. 6 - 7]
"And another angel followed, saying — Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication."
"Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice — If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of GOD, which is poured out full strength into the cup of HIS indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the LAMB." [Revelation 14. 8 - 10]

May each of us be found faithful doing our HEAVENLY FATHER'S business when HE comes...for the crowns we will win, is the souls of men: "Therefore, my beloved and longed-for brethren, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the LORD, beloved." [Philippians 4. 1] "For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our LORD JESUS CHRIST at HIS coming? For you are our glory and joy." [1 Thessalonians 2. 19 - 20]

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
May you have a heart to know YEHOWAH, that HE is the LORD of your life. Oh, return to HIM with your whole heart. May each of you be delivered from trouble and harm, or strengthened through it. Heal us O LORD, make us righteous in YOUR sight. May the message of GOD'S PRECIOUS WORD and the love of YESHUA ha’MASHIACH the SAVIOR bless you and bubble-up in your heart to overflowing. Amen
Beloved brethren, we encourage you to stand firm and confident in the LORD YESHUA. May you be filled with HIS wisdom, knowledge, righteous discernment, and boldness especially as we go forth in the battle against the enemies of our saving faith.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
O come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD our MAKER.

EZEKIEL'S VISION (Part 6 - Conclusion)
RESURRECTION & ASCENSION:
"Above the expanse over their heads was the semblance of a throne, in appearance like sapphire; and on top, upon this semblance of a throne, there was the semblance of a HUMAN (Man) form. From what appeared as HIS loins up, I saw a gleam as of amber — what looked like a fire encased in a frame; and from what appeared as HIS loins down, I saw what looked like fire. There was a radiance all about HIM." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 1. 26 - 27 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Suddenly Ezekiel was transported above the firmament where he saw a throne, and sitting on that throne was a MAN. From the scene of death in verse 25, Ezekiel was ushered into an exalted setting. His vision had clearly taken him through the resurrection of the LORD JESUS and HIS ascension into Heaven, for Ezekiel now saw KING YESHUA sitting on a throne. JESUS, the LORD ETERNAL, today is "seated at the right hand of power far above all principality and power and might and dominion" [Ephesians 1. 20 - 21] waiting to return to this earth as the VICTORIOUS KING OF GLORY. The RIGHTEOUS MESSIAH’S present ministry is that of INTERCESSOR (ADVOCATE) with the FATHER on behalf of the Saints. [1 John 2. 1]

In verses 26 and 27, YESHUA ha'MASHIACH is described in all of HIS glory being the exalted KING and MAJESTIC RULER OF HEAVEN & EARTH. The brilliance of HIS HOLINESS is pictured here in Ezekiel just as it is in Revelation 1:13-16 where YESHUA is shown as having the same glory as the HEAVENLY FATHER seated on the throne. Revelation shows the scene of THE THRONE and the ONE seated on the throne surrounded by an emerald rainbow (depicting Eternal Life), "Immediately I was in the SPIRIT; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and ONE sat on the Throne. And HE WHO sat there was like a jasper and a sardis stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the Throne, in appearance like an emerald." [Revelation 4. 2 - 3] YESHUA is the PERFECT BLAMELESS LAMB WHO takes the scroll from the hand of the ONE seated on the Throne. [Revelation 5. 5 - 7]

"Like the appearance of the bow which shines in the clouds on a day of rain, such was the appearance of the surrounding radiance. That was the appearance of the semblance of the PRESENCE OF THE LORD. When I beheld it, I flung myself down on my face and I heard the VOICE of ONE speaking." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 1. 28 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"The appearance of the bow which shines in the clouds on a day of rain" would be the Rainbow round about the Throne. The rainbow was a pledge of ELOHIYM’S faithfulness to HIS COVENANTS. "I have set MY bow in the clouds, and it shall serve as a sign of the Covenant between ME and the earth." [Genesis (Bereshith) 9. 13 Tanakh, Torah] The ALMIGHTY BLESSED ONE sits upon the Throne. . . splendid, dazzling, and terrible; but encompassed about by the Covenant of Grace.

Ezekiel's response to what he saw is instructive for us today. Ezekiel saw the glory of his EL SHADDAI, how impressive his OMNIPOTENT GOD is, and he could respond in only one way. . . he fell on his face. In submission and humility, Ezekiel prostrated himself before the AWESOME LORD GOD, CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE. Down through the centuries, this has been the only possible response for all men and women who have plain and genuinely seen the glory of YEHOWAH in the risen LORD MESSIAH JESUS.

Throughout the pages of HOLY SCRIPTURE, we are shown the impressiveness of The HOLY ANOINTED ONE . In Ezekiel 1, we are given an overview of HIS entire life and ministry. The BELOVED YESHUA ha’MASHIACH came from Heaven to earth. HE is the GOD/MAN. HE walked a perfect walk in obedience to the FATHER. The LORD JESUS is the blessed forever REDEEMER — SAVIOR — KING WHO will return as the LORD OF GLORY. The ANOINTED ONE died for our sins, but arose jubilantly victorious over death and is now seated at the right hand of the OMNIPOTENT FATHER GOD. Anyone who sees the LOVING MESSIAH, the LORD JESUS CHRIST OF THE HOLY SCRIPTURES cannot help but willingly fall in submission before HIM.

Ultimately, Ezekiel "heard the VOICE OF ONE that spoke." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 1. 28 Tanakh, Nevi'im] There is a natural progression: Ezekiel saw — fell — heard. It is crucial that when a person fully sees and comprehends the incomparable greatness of JESUS OF NAZARETH, he will fall before the LORD and respond to MESSIAH'S leading. Ezekiel was asked to do some strange things during his life [Ezekiel/Yehezke-El 4. 1-6], but he never questioned his HEAVENLY FATHER, the ALMIGHTY OMNIPRESENT GOD. . . Ezekiel was obedient!

When you see the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH of the HOLY SCRIPTURES, you will also experience how great and impressive HE assuredly is. Now, you will want to do whatever HE asks of you! First, the LORD YESHUA requires you to accept HIM personally as your only SAVIOR, REDEEMER & LORD. . . then to follow HIM in obedience to HIS teachings as it is written in HIS HOLY WRITTEN WORD. Then, when you understand how absolutely, thoroughly, unconditionally remarkably great the LORD JESUS is, it won't be difficult to accept and follow the GLORIOUS MASTER implicitly. Amen! What a WONDERFUL SAVIOR HE is! Hallelu'YAH! such amazing love!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Welcome Sabbath! Come, let us welcome the Bride of the Week...may its radiance illumine our hearts as we kindle the candles of Sabbath!
[Ekev - “Because” is the reading for this Sabbath Day: Deuteronomy 7:12-11:25; Isaiah 49:14-51:3; John 13:31-14:31]
Light is the symbol of the DIVINE, the LORD is my LIGHT and my SALVATION.
Light is the symbol of the DIVINE in man; the spirit of man is the light of the LORD.
Light is the symbol of the DIVINE Law, for the commandment is a Lamp and the Law is a Light.
Light is the symbol of Israel's mission. I, the LORD, have set you for a covenant of the people, for a light to the nations.
As you celebrate the day, remember to continually give thanks in all things and share Sabbath’s sweetness with those around you.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. - Page 15 Empty Re: Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY.

Post  Admin on Fri 11 Aug 2017, 8:09 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
We make our future by the best use of the present.

EZEKIEL'S VISION (Part 5 of 6)
LED BY THE SPIRIT: "And when the Creatures moved forward, the wheels moved at their sides; and when the Creatures were borne above the earth, the wheels were borne too. Wherever the SPIRIT impelled them to go, they went — wherever the SPIRIT impelled them — and the wheels were borne alongside them; for the SPIRIT OF THE CREATURES was in the wheels. When those moved, these moved; when those stood still, these stood still; and when those were borne above the earth, the wheels were borne alongside them - for the SPIRIT of the Creatures was in the wheels." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 1. 19 - 21 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The ministry of the LORD JESUS displayed the truth of these verses. As MESSIAH YESHUA walked on this earth, HE was led in all things by the SPIRIT OF GOD. This reality in HIS life is shown from the very beginning of HIS ministry: "Then JESUS was led up by the SPIRIT into the wilderness to be tempted by the Devil." [Matthew 4. 1]

DEATH OF MESSIAH (Foreshadowed):
"Above the heads of the CREATURES was a form, an expanse, with an awe-inspiring gleam as of crystal was spread out above their heads. Under the expanse, each had one pair of wings extended toward those of the others; and each had another pair covering its body. When they moved, I could hear the sound of their wings like the sound of mighty waters, like the sound of SHADDAI (THE ALMIGHTY ONE) a tumult like the sound of an army. When they stood still, they would let their wings droop. From above the expanse over their heads came a sound. When they stood still, they would let their wings droop." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 1. 22 - 25 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

When ELOHIYM created the universe, HE said there was to be "a firmament, an expanse, in the midst of the water, that it may separate water from water." [Genesis (Bereshith) 1. 6 Tanakh, Torah] After the creation of the firmament, CREATOR GOD "called the expanse, Sky (Heaven)." [Genesis (Bereshith) 1. 8 Tanakh, Torah] Over the LIVING CREATURES was a firmament or expanse. The LORD JESUS performed HIS ministry under Heaven…on the earth. HE walked and talked as no man had ever done. After YESHUA had calmed the wind and the waves, the disciples marveled, saying, "WHO can this be? that even the winds and the sea obey HIM?" [Matthew 8. 27] It was said of JESUS — "No man ever spoke like this MAN." [John 7. 46] The uniqueness of the LORD MESSIAH is captured when the sound of the CREATURES' wings is said to be "like the sound of mighty waters of SHADDAI, the ALMIGHTY — a tumult like the din of an army." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 1. 24 Tanakh, Nevi'im] The LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH was unique because HE IS GOD IN HUMAN FLESH.

A climactic point is reached at this place in the chapter. Wings have pictured the protection of the ALMIGHTY ONE but the next two verses state, "when they stood still, they would let their wings droop (let down their wings)." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 1. 24 - 25 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The LORD YESHUA, the HOLY ANOINTED ONE promised, "If I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw all peoples to MYSELF." [John 12. 32] The LIVING CREATURES STOOD STILL . . .JESUS went to the cross. It was at that time, and at that time only in the life of YESHUA that the wings of GOD'S protection were let down. The depravity and filth of sin of all mankind were placed on HIM at Golgotha’s Calvary. In fulfillment of the prophecy, "MY GOD, MY GOD, why have YOU abandoned ME? Why so far from delivering ME and from MY anguished roaring?" [Psalms (Tehillym) 22. 1 Tanakh, Kethuvim] JESUS, the CHRIST OF CALVARY cried out at that time — "ELI, ELI, lama sabachthani , that is — MY GOD, MY GOD, why have YOU forsaken ME?" [Matthew 27. 46] The crowning moment of HIS ministry was coming, but first HE had to endure the crucifixion. YESHUA had to suffer, abandoned by GOD THE FATHER. However, the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH would soon rise as SOVEREIGN GOD OF THE UNIVERSE.

...to be continued

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
May our Heavenly Father hear our prayers, that our long-awaited Messiah YesHUA, the Son of David, King of kings comes quickly. And, may His Holy Temple be rebuilt speedily, even in our day, Amen!
May you be blessed with love, hope, health, wisdom and GOD’S incredibly amazing grace as you seek HIM.
Our WONDERFUL SAVIOR is coming very soon, signs are all around us, lift up your eyes and behold our MAGNIFICENT REDEEMER.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
"Zeal without knowledge is like fire without light." [Thomas Fuller] In other words — The greater you are, the more you must humble yourself.

THE WICKED PROSPER
"Why do the wicked live on, yes, prosper and grow wealthy?" [Job (Iyob) 21. 7 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

This often asked question has puzzled the thoughts of men in every age. Persecuted Job had prospered both materially and spiritually, yet he lost all his worldly possessions, as well as family and friends. The ungodly scorners of the region where he had lived were now humiliating and mocking him, yet they continued to prosper. But why is this?

The same troublesome question occurs again and again in the HOLY BIBLE. Asaph, a psalmist, confessed — "I envied the wanton and boastful; I saw the wicked prosper and were at ease. Death has no pangs for them; their body is healthy and strong, they have no part in the travail of men; they are not afflicted like the rest of mankind." [Psalms (Tehillym) 73. 3 - 5 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Jeremiah, the weeping prophet also complained: "Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why are the workers of treachery at ease?" [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 12. 1 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Asaph and Jeremiah were both perplexed at the prosperity and comfort of the wicked until they entered GOD'S Sanctuary and reflected on their fate. [Psalms/Tehillym 73. 17]

And today, there are very few genuine believers who have great wealth or are powerful that are walking humble and righteous before the LORD GOD. There is serious spiritual danger inherent in riches and power, unless these privileges are dedicated deliberately and sincerely to the work of the ALL-WISE MASTER DESIGNER. Even the church at Laodicea, was scornfully rebuked by the GLORIFIED LORD YESHUA, "Because you say — I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing — and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked." [Revelation 3. 17] They were cunning, deceitful and loved to oppress. Thinking to themselves that they had become rich in finding wealth for themselves by all their labors and thought that no one, even GOD, the ALMIGHTY ONE, could find iniquity in them. Truly, their minds were dulled, darkened, duped, deluded, deceived and deadened.

GOD OMNIPOTENT has promised to supply all our need if we are faithful to HIM. [Matthew 6. 33; Philippians 4. 19] We need to weigh all our standards of prosperity on the balances of eternity. "I saw the wicked, powerful, and well-rooted like a healthy native tree. Suddenly he vanished and was gone; I sought him, but he was not to be found. Mark the blameless, note the upright; for there is a future for the man of integrity. But transgressors shall be utterly destroyed, the future of the wicked shall be cut off. The deliverance of the righteous comes from the LORD; their stronghold in time of trouble. The LORD helps them and rescues them; delivers them from the wicked and saves them, for they seek refuge in HIM and trust in HIM." [Psalms (Tehillym) 37. 35 - 40 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Our greatest need is a closer fellowship with the MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE. JESUS is earnestly calling and anxiously waiting for you!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Toward YOU alone, SOVEREIGN LORD GOD, is my desire, and all my thoughts are turned to YOU. My mind and my heart cling to YOU and thank and praise YOU for YOUR many gifts of grace. Therefore, with trembling reverence I place my body and soul, my spiritual life on the flaming altar of devotion, as an offering to YOU, the ONLY ONE WHO’S supreme greatness no mind can conceive or be sufficiently grateful. There is peace, rest and unending happiness in the wonderful light of YOUR PRESENCE. Thank YOU, for being my REFUGE. Blessing and glory and wisdom, thanksgiving and honor and power and might, be to the LORD our GOD forever and ever, Amen & Amen!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Peace, more than any other vessel, holds blessedness.

GOD'S GREAT FAITHFULNESS
"The kindness of the LORD has not ended, HIS mercies are not spent. They are renewed every morning — Great and exceedingly abundant is YOUR grace! The LORD is my portion! — I say with full heart; therefore will I hope in HIM." [Lamentations (Ekhah) 3. 22 - 24 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Lamentations is full of mournful laments, wailing, damnation, and the scent of devastated Jerusalem after it collapsed from the plunderings by the Babylonian armies. Yet, from such a time as this comes this beautiful passage.

Done in Hebrew acrostic (Alef – Tav, the Hebrew alphabet), the entire Funeral Song is a remarkably structured hymn of grief. The first two and the last two chapters consist of 22 verses, each using all the Hebrew alphabets. The central chapter has 66 verses, with the letters of the alphabet applied every third verse.

It is in this central chapter, these three verses stand out like an "Island of Hope" in a "Sea of Despair" — as a sign that there is yet redemption in all the destruction. And throughout the ages, these SCRIPTURES have been a great comfort and blessing to all believers in times of testing.

We are most blessed for having been given these sustaining promises. Every new day brings some new token of our LOVING HOLY GOD'S gracious provision to meet the need of that day. We cannot count all our blessings, they are far too numerous. King David said, "O LORD my GOD, many are the wonders YOU have devised for us. I would rehearse the tale of them, if I would declare and speak of them, but they are more than can be numbered." [Psalms (Tehillym) 40. 5 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "GOD performs great deeds which cannot be fathomed, wondrous things without number." [Job (Iyob) 5. 9; 9. 10 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "Great is the LORD and greatly to be praised; HIS greatness is unsearchable, it cannot be fathomed." [Psalms (Tehillym) 145. 3 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Every new day reminds us again that HIS faithfulness is exceedingly great!

The MISHNAH tells us that: "No days were as festive for Israel as the 15th of Av and Yom Kippur." [Tractate Ta'anit] What is Tu B'Av, the 15th of the Hebrew month of Av? In which way is it equivalent to Yom Kippur? Our Sages explain: Yom Kippur symbolizes GOD'S forgiving Israel for the sin of the Golden Calf in the desert, for it was on that day that YEHOWAH finally accepted Moses' plea for forgiveness of the nation, and on that same day Moses came down from the mountain with the new set of tablets.

Just as Yom Kippur symbolizes the atonement for the sin of the Golden Calf, Tu B'Av signifies the atonement for the sin of the Spies, where ten came bearing such negative reports which reduced the entire nation to panic. As a result of that sin, it was decreed by the ALMIGHTY that the nation would remain in the desert for 40 years, and that no person 20 or older would be allowed to enter Israel. On each Tisha B'Av of those 40 years, those who had reached the age of 60 that year died — 15,000 each Tisha B'Av. This plague finally ended on Tu B'Av.

No matter what the days ahead may hold and regardless how hopeless, prevailing, frightening or horrendously terrible they may be, the battle is the LORD'S and HIS compassion and mercy will not fail! HalleluYAH!

The LORD MESSIAH YESHUA eagerly awaits to renew HIS mercies each morning and make HIS faithfulness known. . . if we have all of our faith, hope and trust in HIM. There is none greater!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Today is the bitter fast day known as Tisha B'Av, the day on which we mourn the destruction of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem.
Also, we read the Biblical Book of Lamentations/Ekhah. Jeremiah is known as the prophet of destruction as his duty was to warn the people to change their ways and return to GOD, lest the Temple be destroyed. Today's verse contains Jeremiah's first vision that he shares with the Jewish Nation. Interestingly, his first vision is not of rebuke, rather, Jeremiah's first prophetic vision is of GOD'S longing for HIS people, and HIS memories of how they were to HIM as a bride and followed HIM blindly into the desert. This serves as a reminder that whatever punishment may be meted out, GOD loves HIS people and desires a relationship with them.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
May the memory of the past impress us with the duty to remain faithful to our heritage and to be mindful of our obligations.

TISHA B'AV
"By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat, sat and wept, as we thought of Zion. There on the poplars we hung up our lyres, for our captors asked us there for songs of joy, our tormentors, for amusement, "Sing us one of the songs of Zion." How can we sing a song of the LORD on foreign soil?" [Psalms (Tehillym) 137. 1 - 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

One of the major fast days in Jewish tradition, and a day of historic mourning in Jewish life is the Ninth of Av.  Tisha B'Av is more like a death than a destruction, because on that day the world changed irrevocably.  The world without the Holy Temple is not the same world minus one magnificent structure. The world without the Holy Temple is a totally different world. The Holy Temple was the place ALMIGHTY GOD chose to meet with HIS people. There the DIVINE PRESENCE manifested HIMSELF.  When the Temple was destroyed, the fragrance of the HOLY ONE was removed, thus it was a loss as real and as searing as death.

This is a fast day second in importance to the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) in the Jewish year.  It is the day of mourning for the destruction of both Temples.   And, it once was kept in remembrance of the day in the year 558 BCE (Before Common Era/BCE — Before CHRIST/BC) when the mighty forces of the Babylonian armies under Nebuchadnezzar laid waste Jerusalem and slaughtered many of its inhabitants enslaving and exiling the survivors.  Also, according to tradition [Taan 4. 4 Jewish Encyclopedia] the decree concerning Israel's forty years of wandering in the wilderness was made on the Ninth of Av.

On the Ninth of Av in the year 70 CE (Common Era — After Death/AD) the Romans swooped down on Jerusalem and destroyed the Second Temple and almost annihilated the nation of Israel.  Tisha b'Av today commemorates the destruction of the Second Temple rather than that of the First, recognizing the fact that the second destruction was the greater catastrophe for the Jewish people.   It is marked as "A Day of National Gloom."  In the synagogues the Book of Lamentations is recited to a sad and mournful melody.  The book was written by the Prophet Jeremiah, who warned the Jews to repent to prevent the fall of Jerusalem, which he prophesized.  His advice not only was ignored, but he also was imprisoned for stating views that threatened the king's power.  The TORAH Sages also teach that the MESSIAH will be born on Tisha B'Av as a sign that there is yet redemption in all the destruction.

At midnight there is a lamentation for the destruction of the Temple.  Then, people usually visit the cemetery after the morning service. On the Ninth of Av in Jerusalem, devout Jews meet at the Kotel (Western Wall) or visit the Tomb of David, voicing their grief and pain over the fall of Jerusalem. One of the songs or chants is a mournful hymn known as "The Wailing Song" which is said to date from the time of Ezra:
"HE is great, HE is good: HE will build HIS Temple speedily:
In great haste, in great haste; in our own day speedily.
LORD, build; LORD, build, build YOUR Temple speedily.
  HE will save, HE will save; HE will save HIS Israel speedily;
At this time now, Oh, LORD, in our own day speedily
LORD, SAVE! LORD, SAVE! Save YOUR people, Israel speedily."

One can almost hear the children of Israel praying at the end of the Feast of Tabernacles on the day of the Great HoSanna: "Save now, I beseech YOU, LORD!" and see HIM WHO is "THE ANSWER" to their prayer standing in their midst.  The LORD MESSIAH YESHUA is THE TEMPLE REBUILT — for HE was seemingly destroyed, but on the third day ALMIGHTY GOD raised HIM from the dead!

The Jew, whose eyes are opened to behold the ANOINTED ONE of whom Moses and the prophets wrote, has no need to mourn, to have Tisha b'Av day in his life!  Whomever has accepted YESHUA (the LORD JESUS) into their heart as MESSIAH, LORD & KING can declare with David:  "YOU have turned my lament into dancing, YOU put off my sackcloth and girded me with joy and gladness, that my whole being might sing hymns to YOU endlessly; O LORD my GOD, I will praise YOU forever." [Psalms (Tehillym) 30. 11 Tanakh, Kethuvim]   May our HEAVENLY FATHER hear our prayers that our long-awaited MESSIAH YESHUA, the SON OF GOD, the SON OF DAVID, the KING of kings, come quickly.  May HIS Holy Temple be rebuilt speedily, even in our day.

Special Note:  Tisha b'Av (9th of Av) started at sunset and continues until sunset this evening (evening-to-evening).  When Tisha B'Av falls on Shabbat, the fast is postponed until Sunday, as is true this year.  Tisha b'Av should hold significance, not just for the Jewish people, but for everyone. The threat of terrorism is worldwide, though most acutely felt and experienced in Israel.   Let us take this day to join hearts with our Israeli and Jewish brethren around the world and offer united and fervent prayer to our HEAVENLY FATHER, the GREAT GOD OF ISRAEL, the LORD OF HOSTS.

Before the destruction of the 2nd Temple (70 BCE/BC) by the Romans on the 9th of Av, the Romans had laid siege around Jerusalem, but sufficient grain had been stored by the inhabitants of the City to sustain them for 21 years. The leading TORAH sage at the time was Rabbi Yochanan ben-Zakai who was in favor of pursuing a peace treaty with the Romans hoping to ward off a war and save the Temple from destruction.  However a group of zealots called the Biryonim had other plans wanting to force all Jews to take up arms and decided to wreck the economy by burning down all the granaries, which created a quick and severe famine in the City. The Romans took advantage of the devastation the zealots caused and broke through the City walls and eventually destroyed the Temple.

The actual intent of such practices are in preparation for coming to grips with Israel's sin (sinat chinam — unfounded hatred) which led to the loss of the Temple, not just once, but twice.  When the spies returned from the land, there was weeping when there should have been rejoicing.  So, throughout history, GOD has given Israel reason to mourn on this day, Tisha b'Av, the 9th day of the month of Av.  Also, it is suggested as the day the Wondering Hebrews sided against Joshua and Caleb's report that the Promised Land could be conquered, thus sinning with the unfaithful spies. [Numbers/B'Midvar 13. 30 - 31]

We invite everyone to join in solidarity with our Jewish friends and family to pray for Israel.  We encourage everyone to light a candle in their homes this evening in memory of the Israelis who have died in this present daily war with the Palestinians; and read Psalm 83 aloud. I encourage parents to gather their children and do this as a family prayer time.  Let us take this day to join hearts with our Israeli and Jewish brethren around the world and offer united and fervent prayer to our OMNIPOTENT LORD GOD for HIS mercy through judgment; pray for the coming of KING MESSIAH speedily even in our day.

Traditional Jews observe this as a day of mourning with a fast and the reading of the BIBLICAL BOOK of Lamentations. The Sabbath preceding Tisha b’Av is called Shabbat Chazon, the Sabbath of prophecy. The hafTORAH is Isaiah’s foretelling of the destruction of the Temple. The Shabbat following Tisha b’Av is Shabbat Nachamu, the Sabbath of Comfort, when Isaiah’s message of consolation is read.

Because Israel honors life, they built the Iron Dome to protect their people from rocket attacks. Hamas, however, has spent millions of dollars, most of which came from the UN or European countries, and from America and allies like Qatar or Dubai, to dig tunnels into Israel for terror attacks.
We praise YOU, MOST HOLY GOD and ask that YOUR PRESENCE be manifest to us in all YOUR works, so that reverence for YOU may fill the hearts of YOUR creatures. May all the children of men bow before YOU in humility and unite to do YOUR will with one heart, that all may acknowledge that YOURS alone is the power, dominion and majesty; and that YOUR NAME is exalted above all.
In earlier times, it was the custom already from Tu B'Av to use as one's greeting "May your inscription and seal be for good (ketiva vahatima tova)!" — the same blessing that we use on Rosh ha’Shana.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Only those who repent of their sin will be forgiven.

THE FIELD, THE WORLD
"And it became known to all those dwelling in Jerusalem as that field is called in their own language, Akel-dama, meaning Field of Blood." [Acts 1. 19]

This field was fittingly called "akel-dama" so named as it was purchased with blood money. Judas Iscariot, the betrayer of MESSIAH, purchased it (through the chief priests, following Judas' suicide) as they stated — "It is not lawful to put them (the pieces of silver) into the treasury, because they are the price of blood." [Matthew 27. 6] Certainly, the blood Judas sold was "INNOCENT BLOOD."

The loathsomely detestable "thirty shekels of silver" finalized this transaction. However, this slave was none other than CREATOR GOD in the flesh, so the thirty pieces of silver, the amount set by the religious leaders, was the price for the sale of the MOST HIGH ONE.

The Prophet Zechariah had acted out a prophecy of these strange events some 500 years before. "So they weighed out for my wages, thirty shekels of silver — the noble sum that I was worthy in their estimation." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 11. 12 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

According to prophecy and its fulfillment, Judas threw this "blood money" down in the Temple and went out and hanged himself. The money was used to buy the Potter's Field to bury strangers in. [Matthew 27. 5 - 10] "Throw it to the potter — that princely price they set on me. So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them into the HOUSE OF THE LORD for the potter." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 11. 13 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

These and many other details in these accounts constitute a remarkable type and fulfillment of prophecy, a testimony of divine inspiration and divine foreordination. It is also a striking picture of the price of our salvation: For the "Field of Blood" typifies that great field, the world. The field is the world [Matthew 13. 38], and YESHUA ha'MASHIACH is the GOD/MAN WHO searched for the "treasure hidden in a field...and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field." [Matthew 13. 44] All that the LORD YESHUA had, HIS life's-blood, was willingly shed that we, dead in our sins and hidden in the world of filth, might be "purchased with HIS own blood." [Acts 20. 28] How very thankful I am that this MAN OF SORROWS, the ROCK OF OUR SALVATION cared enough to pay such a price to buy back such a worthless worm like me!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
May the LIGHT of the HOLY ONE, blessed be HE, fill you with a yearning desire to submit to HIS inscrutable will and give you strength for your daily task as you share the knowledge and wisdom of the LOVING MASTER with others.
O LORD GOD OF JACOB, YOU are my GOD...in the night how my soul desires and yearns for YOU. I long for YOUR irreproachable judgments in the earth, for the world to learn of YOUR integrity, YOUR majesty and YOUR righteousness. Amen

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The only motive some people have for listening to reason is to gain time for rebuttal.

DELIGHT IN GOD'S WILL
"To do what pleases YOU, my GOD, is my desire (Hebrew: chaphets — delight, take pleasure in); YOUR Law is in my inmost parts." [Psalms (Tehillym) 40. 8 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

This expression by King David was also a manifestation of prophecy that was completely fulfilled by MESSIAH YESHUA WHO said, "MY food is to do the will of HIM that sent ME, and to finish HIS work." [John 4. 34] "I came down from heaven, not to do MY OWN will, but the will of HIM WHO sent ME." [John 6. 38] "The works that I do in MY FATHER'S NAME, they bear witness of ME." [John 10. 25] "Therefore when HE comes into the world, HE said — Behold, I come, in the volume of the BOOK it is written of ME — to do YOUR will, O GOD." [Hebrews 10. 5, 7]

The heart of the LORD YESHUA was perfectly harmonized with the will of the HEAVENLY FATHER because GOD'S Law was written thereon "not on tablets of stone, but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart." [2 Corinthians 3. 3] Even in the most trying and difficult circumstances to which any man could ever be subjected, JESUS, the ROCK of our salvation could pray, "Nevertheless, not MY will, but YOURS, be done." [Luke 22. 42]

By the INDWELLING SPIRIT OF ALMIGHTY GOD, we also must seek to make the will of the HOLY ONE our greatest delight. We are saved exclusive and completely by grace alone. But, this is not to deliver us from the discipline of GOD'S RIGHTEOUS & PERFECT LAW for the Law is a schoolmaster making us "free from the law of sin and death." [Romans 8. 2]

The HOLY SPIRIT OF TRUTH exposes GOD'S Perfect Law to us continuously as we are obedient to HIS commands which enables us to love HIM more in response. "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the LORD; I will put MY Laws into their hearts, and in their minds and I will write them." [Hebrews 10. 16] Just as the MASTER OF MERCY instructed for the kings of Israel, we likewise should follow the same advise regarding the Law, "And it shall be with him, and he shall read it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear the LORD his GOD and be careful to observe all the words of this Law and these statutes." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 17. 19 Tanakh, Torah]

Like the psalmist David, we learn not to resist the will of the ALMIGHTY ONE, but to love HIS commands and to delight in HIS Law. "O how I love YOUR Law! In it I study and meditate all day long...YOUR decrees are my eternal heritage; they are my heart's rejoicing and delight...I have longed for YOUR salvation and deliverance, O LORD; YOUR Law is my delight." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 97, 111, 174 Tanakh, Kethuvim] There is nothing sweeter or more precious then GOD'S WORD; read it and find engaging treasures for all eternity.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Evening, morning and noon, YOU, O LORD are all-good, YOUR mercies fail not; YOUR loving kindnesses never cease, all our hope is in YOU. For all these things, YOUR NAME, O our KING, shall be continually blessed and exalted for ever and ever.
Barukh atah ADONAI ELOHEINU MELEKH ha-olam, ozier Yisrael bigvurah. — Blessed are YOU, LORD our GOD, KING of the Universe, WHO girds Israel with might.
Examine the discipline of your endurance. Endurance must be directed toward productive goals and expressed in a constructive manner. Endurance and determination focused to help cultivate good habits and break bad ones. Endurance come from strength out of deep conviction and determination; so don’t let your tenaciousness lack fortitude.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Egotisms is nothing more than the antiseptic that dulls the pain of stupidity.

REDEEMED FROM ENEMY’S HAND
"Give thanks and praise to the LORD, for HE is good, HIS mercy is eternal! Thus, let the redeemed of the LORD say so, those HE redeemed from the hand of the enemy." [Psalms (Tehillym) 107. 1 - 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

There are four examples of GOD’S deliverance from particular problems that this hymn of praise surrounds.
The first are the lost travelers who are out of provisions and far from a city: "Some lost their way and wandered in the wilderness in the wasteland; they found no city to dwell in. Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them." [Psalms (Tehillym) 107. 4 - 5 Tanakh, Nevi'im]
Second, there are the prisoners bound by their own rebelliousness: "Some lived in deepest darkness and in the shadow of death, captive in affliction and irons — because they rebelled against the WORD OF GOD, despising the counsel of the MOST HIGH. Therefore HE humbled their heart through suffering; they stumbled with no one to help." [Psalms (Tehillym) 107. 10 - 12 Tanakh, Nevi'im]
The third, due to their own sins, are in physical illness: "There were fools who suffered for their sinful way, and for their iniquities they were afflicted. Their soul abhorred all manner of food, and they drew near to the gates of death. In their trouble they cried to the LORD, and HE saved them out of their troubles. HE sent HIS WORD and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions." [Psalms (Tehillym) 107. 17 - 20 Tanakh, Nevi'im]
Forth, are the sailors who face shipwreck on stormy seas: "Others go down to the sea in ships, who ply their business on mighty waters; they have seen the works of the LORD and HIS wonders in the deep. By HIS Word HE raised a stormy wind, which lifts up the waves of the sea. They mount up to the heavens and plunge down again to the depths, their soul melts from their troubles. They reeled and staggered like a drunken man, all their skill to no avail. In their adversity they cried to the LORD and HE saved them out of their troubles. HE calmed the storm so that its waves are stilled. Then they rejoiced when all was quiet, and HE guided them to their desired haven." [Psalms (Tehillym) 107. 23 - 30 Tanakh, Nevi'im]]

This is just like the restless pattern during the time of the judges when "everyone did what was right in his own eyes, doing as they pleased." [Judges (Shofetim) 21. 25 Tanakh, Nevi’im] As a result of their rebellious treachery, the SOVEREIGN ONE brought the people of Israel into captivity just as HE warned would happen to them. "If you or your descendants turn away from following ME and do not keep MY commandments and MY laws which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods to worship them, then I will cut Israel off the land which I gave them; I will reject the House which I have consecrated to MY NAME And Israel shall become a proverb and a byword among all peoples." [1 Kings (Melakhim Alef) 9. 6 – 7 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

Solomon’s prayer of dedication for the Temple, has this same pattern [1 Kings 8. 22 – 61], for he knew that man’s tendency to rebel and forget the LORD’S provision when things go well, thus they inflict GOD’S righteous judgment. But the ALL-KNOWING CREATOR has always used times of trouble to bring mankind back to HIMSELF. HE truly is a GOD of grace, mercy, and love, desiring to forgive and restore those who repent and call on HIM for deliverance.

This truth applies today, we still tend to rebel and the BELOVED SAVIOR remains long-suffering, willing to forgive and restore when one repents. "The genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of MESSIAH YESHUA." [1 Peter 1. 7] After HE tests us, may we come forth more than conquerors for HIS glory.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
As we bid farewell to Sabbath at the Havdallah Ceremony, we use all of our senses: We taste the wine, smell the spices, see the shadow of candles, hear prayers and songs, touch family and friends as we wish them a Good Week.
May the sweetness of Sabbath be felt all through your week!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Faith is not believing that the ALMIGHTY can, it's knowing that HE will.

CUSTOMS — MIZRACH
"The many peoples and the multitudes of the nations shall come to seek the LORD OF HOSTS in Jerusalem and to pray before the LORD." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 8. 22 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The "Mizrach" (rising of the sun — The East) is a Jewish custom to turn toward Jerusalem during the time of prayer.  "When YOUR people go out to battle against their enemy, by wherever way YOU send them, and they pray to the LORD in the direction of the City which YOU have chosen, and of the House which I have built to YOUR NAME, O hear in heaven their prayer and supplication and uphold their cause." [1 King (Melakhim Alef) 8. 44 - 45 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

In BIBLE days, worshipers in the Temple in Jerusalem faced the Holy of Holies; those in the City itself turned toward the Temple Court; those in Israel faced in the direction of Jerusalem; those outside Israel turned toward the Land of Israel. GOD’S Dwelling Places (Wilderness Tabernacle & Temple) always faced the East as the LORD comes to HIS Temple from the East.  It is noticed that when Daniel prayed three times a day to the LORD GOD, he opened his windows toward Jerusalem. [Daniel/Danyel 6. 10]

Jerusalem is the spiritual center on the earth.  The love for Jerusalem is admonished in the words of the Psalmist:  "If I forget you, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget its skill! If I do not remember you, let my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth — if I do not exalt Jerusalem above my chief joy." [Psalms (Tehillym) 137. 5 - 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The ALMIGHTY ONE commands prayer for this CITY OF THE GREAT KING — "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May they prosper who love you. Peace be within your walls, prosperity within your palaces." [Psalms (Tehillym) 122. 6 - 9 Tanakh, Kethuvim]   "Upon your walls, O Jerusalem, I have set watchmen, who shall never be silent by day or by night. O you, LORD'S watchmen, do not keep silent, take no rest and give no rest to HIM, until HE establishes Jerusalem makes her renowned on earth." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 62. 6 - 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

When the PRINCE OF PEACE comes to earth again, prayers for the peace of Jerusalem will be answered.  Prayers for peace to come to the heart of the Jew will be realized when he recognizes YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, his PRINCE OF PEACE, and accepts JESUS OF NAZARETH as the long-awaited MESSIAH OF ISRAEL and the SAVIOR-REDEEMER of mankind!

This peace which the SUPREME GOD desires for both Jew and Gentile was purchased at tremendous cost, even the precious life-blood of the LORD JESUS.  Isaiah, the Jewish prophet, describes this —  "But HE (MESSIAH) was wounded because of our transgressions, HE was bruised because of our iniquities. HE bore the chastisement for our peace, and by HIS stripes we were healed." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 53. 5 Tanakh, Nevi'im]  The MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE has much to say concerning the Land of Israel (Eretz Yisroel) of which Jerusalem is the center.  The REVERED BIBLE prophetically describes its boundaries and also foretells its destruction and restoration.  When restored, Israel shall cover an area of 300,000 square miles. The Land boundaries are from the River of Egypt to the Euphrates and from Hethlon to Kadesh. [Genesis/Bereshith 15. 18; Numbers/Vayikra 34. 2 - 15; Ezekiel/Yehezke-El  48. 1 - 35; Jeremiah/Yirmeyah 31. 38 - 40]

This Land was never to be sold to any other people —  "The land must not be sold beyond reclaim, for the land is MINE; you are but strangers resident with ME." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 25. 23 Tanakh, Torah]  Thus, the Land belongs to the OMNIPOTENT CREATOR and HE gave it to the JEWS.  They are the heirs to the Land of Israel.  Speaking to the people of the land, the Jews, ALMIGHTY GOD foretells through the Prophet Moses —  "I will take you to be MY people, and I will be your GOD. And you shall know that I, the LORD, am your GOD WHO freed you from under the burdens of the Egyptians. I WILL BRING YOU INTO THE LAND which I raised MY hand (swore) to give to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; and I will give it to you for a possession, I the LORD." [Exodus (Shemot) 6. 7 - 8 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Zion comes from a root which means a dry, barren place or arid wilderness.  In this, its original condition, it is a type of the land and the people of Israel.  But owing to the great power and skill of the GREAT HUSBANDMAN, the MESSIAH YESHUA, this dry ground will be transformed into a fruitful garden and the spiritually barren people brought to full bloom! [Ezekiel/Yehezke-El  36. 6 - 12, 15, 30, 34 - 35]

It has been said that the TRUE & LIVING GOD was through with the Jewish people and that they would never return to the Promised Land.  However, they are wrong!  Moses wrote GOD'S WORD concerning the scattering of Israel; and the desolation of the land. [Deuteronomy/Devarim 28. 64 - 65 with Leviticus/Vayikra  26. 32 - 33]

Even as every one of the prophecies concerning the Dispersion of natural Israel were literally and are being literally fulfilled, just so the Re-gathering and Restoration of natural Israel must literally come to pass.  As it was prophesied that a literal; people were literally scattered among literal nations and suffered literal persecution and this was all literally fulfilled, just so these same prophets foretold that Israel would just as literally be preserved from extinction or assimilation, and would in the End Time, just before the return of their MESSIAH YESHUA, be brought back again as a nation into their own land! [Leviticus/Vayikra 26. 44 - 45]

The HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL is gathering the Jews from the four corners of the earth even as HE said HE would!  Israel is back in the Land!  GOD INVINCIBLE has kept HIS WORD literally! [Jeremiah/Yirmeyah 30. 10 - 11]

The Land of Israel has been passed from nation to nation.  When it was in the hands of the Gentiles it remained undeveloped, untouched.  Why?  Because it is not Gentile property; because the TRUE GOD decreed that under HIM the Jews would do the restoring and renewing —  "I WILL restore of My people Israel. They shall build ruined cities and inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards and drink their wine; they shall till gardens and eat their fruits. And I WILL plant them upon their soil, nevermore to be uprooted from the soil I have given them, and they shall know ME — said the LORD your GOD." [Amos 9. 14 - 15 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The prophecy of Isaiah 18. 3 contains an important notice to all the people of the world in the last days — "All you who live in the world and inhabit the earth, when a banner is raised in the hills, take note! When a ram's horn is blown, give heed!" [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 18. 3 Tanakh, Nevi'im]  In other words, when the flag (banner) is lifted up in the mountains of Jerusalem and the ram's horn blown, let all the nations take notice.  In 1920, the Flag of Judah was flown from the Tower of David and the Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem blew the Ram's Horn which sounded out over the land!

The LORD SUPREME is gathering the Jews back to Eretz Yisrael (Land of Israel — the Land of Promise) for a specific purpose, not only to cultivate it, to cause "the desert to bloom as the rose" not only to have a homeland, but GOD is bringing this dispersed and wandering people back in readiness for the return of their MESSIAH!  "For the LORD shall build up Zion; HE has appeared in all HIS glory." [Psalms (Tehillym) 102. 16 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

There is an amazing prophecy concerning Jerusalem given by YESHUA ha'MASHIACH HIMSELF which will be fulfilled — "Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled." [Luke 21. 24]   It was during first week in June 1967 — that the Old City of Jerusalem came into the hands of the Jews who are an independent nation, Israel.  This is the first time Jerusalem has been in the hands of an Independent Israel since 597 BC.   Yet, Jerusalem and the Temple Mount will continue to be trampled by the Gentiles until the end of the Great Tribulation and the start of the 1,000-Year Reign of MESSIAH, the Kingdom Age.  We can continue to stand on the WORD OF THE LORD for it is truth and life.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Welcoming Shabbat Chazon (Sabbath of Prophecy)!  Devarim (“words” – Deuteronomy 1-3:22’ Isaiah 1:1-27; Mark 14:1-16) — Come, let us go out to greet the Sabbath Queen; Sabbath presence, let us welcome.
This is the Sabbath preceding Tisha b’Av is called Shabbat Chazon, the Sabbath of prophecy. The hafTORAH is Isaiah’s foretelling of the destruction of the Temple.
We honor & praise the LORD YESHUA, the BLESSED ONE, WHO gives true Sabbath peace & rest; and separates the sacred from the ordinary.
The children of Israel are to keep Sabbath, to observe it throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between ME and the children of Israel forever.  It is our heritage. May it bring rest and joy, peace and comfort to your dwellings, our beloved family; and through it may the HOLY NAME OF THE LORD GOD be praised WHO sanctifies the Sabbath.  Enjoy the delight of the Kedushat Shevi'it — Sabbath Holiness!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
GOD is not mocked: if you seek HIM — inquire of HIM and for HIM as your first and vital necessity — you will find HIM; but if you forsake HIM, HE will cast you off forever.

REMEMBER BALAAM
"O MY people, REMEMBER what Balak king of Moab plotted against you, and how Balaam son of Beor responded to him. Recall your passage from Shittim to Gilgal — the crossing of the Jordan — and you will recognize the gracious and righteous acts of the LORD." [Micah (Michah) 6. 5 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The NEW COVENANT writers have left us serious reflective warnings in regards to Balaam. Peter warned against the Way of Balaam; the book of Jude, against the Error of Balaam; and John, against the Doctrine of Balaam. CREATOR GOD evidently considers these warnings necessary and appropriate for CHRISTians today as well.

Balaam was a foreigner from Mesopotamia who used sorcery to receive his predictions for which he was famous. [Numbers/B'Midvar 22. 7, 12; 24. 1; Deuteronomy/Devarim 23. 4] ALMIGHTY GOD used him to bless Israel when Balak had hired him to curse Israel. He even received direct revelation from GOD MOST HIGH. Balaam was rebuked by the ALL-KNOWING ONE OF ISRAEL for his iniquity; GOD used a dumb donkey speaking with a man's voice to restrain the madness of the prophet. [2 Peter 2. 16]

The Way of Balaam was a readiness to prostitute one's high spiritual gifts and privileges, for they "loved the wages of unrighteousness." [2 Peter 2. 15] Many are willing to preach contrary to GOD'S HOLY INERRANT WORD for personal gain.

The Error of Balaam was evidently his willingness to compromise his own standards of morality and truth in order run greedily to accommodate those of his pagan patrons "for profit." [Jude 1. 11]

The Doctrine of Balaam was already penetrating in the church in John's day, teachers used their own teaching authority to persuade GOD'S people that it was all right for them to compromise their standards, even "to commit fornication" with their idol-worshipping enemies. "But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality." [Revelation 2. 14]

We are faced with similar influences that are shamefully exploiting true CHRISTian ministry today. Those clear warnings against Balaam-ism are still compelling and urgently essential. That is why the faithful prophet Micah, urged GOD'S people to "REMEMBER Balaam" and his fatally disastrous end — the children of Israel killed him with a sword.

Will you heed OMNIPOTENT GOD'S loving warning, or will you go along with the crowd by discarding the eternal for the temporal? There is a way which seems right to a man, but the end is eternal destruction! ALMIGHTY GOD knows what we can handle, and HE gives us all the things we need to achieve our potential in life. Balaam’s downfall teaches us to appreciate what we have, and not to hope for things that may be out of our league. Because if we do, we might just wind up being rebuked by a donkey.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Let us renew our commitment to walk in loving obedience to the LOVING MASTER all the days of our lives. May the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL bless you abundantly. Magnified and sanctified be the GLORIOUS NAME of the LORD GOD in the world which HE created according to HIS will. May HE establish HIS Kingdom during our life and during our days, and during the life of all the House of Israel, even speedily and at a near time, Amen.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Challenges can be stepping stones or stumbling blocks. Its just a matter of how you view them.

FATHER'S INSTRUCTIONS
"My son, heed the discipline of your father, and do not forsake the instruction of your mother." [Proverbs (Mishle) 1. 8 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Proverbs is the best book "for learning wisdom and discipline; for understanding words of discernment; for acquiring the discipline for success, righteousness, justice, and equity for endowing the simple with shrewdness, the young with knowledge and foresight." [Proverbs (Mishle) 1. 2 - 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Then there are the Proverbs that are laid out in the form of lessons. David, in all probability, compiled these lessons for each of them begins with the loving words "my son" or "sons." [Proverbs/Mishle 1. 8; 2. 1; 3. 1, 11, 21; 4. 1, 10, 20; 5. 1, 7; 6. 20; 7. 1, 24; 8. 32]

The first one urges the importance of children being willing to heed the counsel of their parents. One of the main characteristics of the "last days" is predicted to be the fact that children will be "disobedient to parents." [2 Timothy 3. 1 - 2] "Children, obey your parents in the LORD; for this is right. Honor your father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise." [Ephesians 6. 1 - 2] This applies especially to children with GOD-fearing parents as we teach obedience to all the commands of our LOVING HEAVENLY FATHER through the LORD JESUS, the BLESSED MESSIAH REDEEMER.

It is extremely important that each lesson emphasizes the immediate significance for young people to obey the WORD OF GOD as taught them by their parents. Wise counsel, learning, discretion, instruction, knowledge, understanding and wisdom are promised over and over to those who know, love and obey GOD'S HOLY WRITTEN WORD.

"MY son, IF you accept MY WORDS and treasure up MY commandments; IF you make your ear attentive to wisdom and your mind open to discernment; IF you call to understanding and cry aloud to discernment, IF you seek her as you do silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures; THEN you will understand the fear of the LORD and attain knowledge of GOD." [Proverbs (Mishle) 2. 1 - 5 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
LORD our GOD, great, eternal, wonderful in glory, WHO keeps covenant and promises for those that love YOU with their whole heart, WHO is the LIFE of all, the HELP of those that flee to YOU, the HOPE of those who cry to YOU, cleanse us from our sins, secret and open, and from every thought displeasing to YOUR goodness — cleanse our bodies and souls, our hearts and consciences, that with a pure heart, and a clear soul, with perfect love and calm hope, we may venture confidently and fearlessly to pray to YOU. We thank YOU and in the MAGNIFICENT NAME of YESHUA we pray, Amen!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
When the ALMIGHTY ONE punishes the wicked, HIS NAME is made great and holy. [Mechilta, Kiddush ha'Shem]
Yigdal sh'mo umalkhuto — May HIS NAME and Kingdom grow.

STILL HE WALKED
HE could hear the multitude screaming
 "Crucify!  Crucify!"
— HE could hear the hatred in their voices,
 these were HIS Chosen People.

HE loved them and they were going to crucify HIM.
HE was beaten, bleeding and weakened —
 HIS heart was broken,
 but still HE walked.

HE surveyed the crowd as HE came from the palace.
HE knew each of the faces so well, HE had created them.
HE knew every smile, their laughter, and each tear shed,
but now they were contorted with rage and anger —
 HIS heart was broken,
 but still HE walked.

Was HE afraid?
You and I would have been so.
HIS humanness would have mandated that HE was.
Instead, HE knew what HE came to do!
HE knowingly did all for humanity.
HIS disciples had left, denied, and even betrayed HIM.
HE searched the crowd for a loving face, but saw few.
Then HE turned HIS eyes to the ONLY ONE that mattered
and HE was assured that this was HIS FATHER'S will.
HE looked back at the crowd,
at the people who were spitting on HIM,
 throwing rocks and mocking HIM,
and HE knew it was for them that HE came.
So for them, HE walked.

Deafening sounds of the hammer striking the spikes
 echoed  triumphantly through the crowd.
However, HIS cries were even more prominent
then the cheers of the crowd.
HIS hands and feet were nailed to the rugged cross
as pain intensified with each blow.
Loudest of all was the still small voice inside HIS heart
that whispered, "I am with YOU, MY SON!"
 — and GOD'S heart broke —
HE had let HIS ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON walk.

YESHUA, the MESSIAH could have asked GOD to end HIS suffering,
but instead, HE asked GOD to "Forgive!"
Not to forgive HIM,
but to forgive the ones who were persecuting HIM.
As HE hung on that cross dying an unimaginable death,
HE looked out and saw, not only the faces in the mob,
but HE could see the face of every person HE was dying for,
and HIS heart filled with love.

Although HIS body was dying,
 HIS heart was alive —
 — ALIVE with immeasurable,
unconditional love HE has for each of us.
That is why HE walked.

When I forget how much my GOD loves me,
 I remember HIS walk.
When I wonder if I can, without doubt, truly be forgiven,
 I remember HIS walk.
When I need reminded of how to live like MESSIAH YESHUA did,
 I think of HIS walk.
So, to express how much I love HIM,
when I wake each morning, I turn my eyes to HIM,
 — and I walk.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Our beloved friends our prayer is that GOD ETERNAL will hear our prayer and give us a renewed spiritual awakening, increase our love and brotherhood among us by HIS PRECIOUS SON'S atoning blood.
We wish to express our love to each of you...giving thanks to the HOLY ONE WHO gives good things to HIS children.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The reward of virtue is virtue.

WORTHY, O LORD
"Blessed are YOU, LORD, GOD OF ISRAEL our FATHER, from eternity to eternity. YOURS, LORD, are greatness, might, power, glory, splendor, triumph, victory, honor and majesty — Yes, all that is in heaven and on earth; to YOU, LORD, belong kingship and preeminence above all." [1 Chronicles (Dibre Hayamin Alef) 29. 10 - 11 Tanakh, Kethuvim

This is a part of King David's prayer at the time of Solomon's coronation as his successor.  Although David and Solomon were the greatest kings of Israel, and in the world, David rightly acknowledged that the LORD GOD HIMSELF was the TRUE KING ETERNAL, not only of Israel, but of all heaven and earth.  HE is the RENOWNED, SUPREME RULER — OMNIPOTENT, OMNIPRESENT LORD over all.

Even the cherubim will again repeat David's great prayer: "Give unto the LORD the glory due HIS NAME; bow down and worship the LORD, majestic in holiness." [Psalms (Tehillym) 29. 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim]  "Worthy is the LAMB WHO was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing!" [Revelation 5. 12]  "YOU are worthy, O LORD, to receive glory and honor and power; for YOU created all things, and for YOUR pleasure they exist and were created." [Revelation 4. 11]  "For by HIM all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through HIM and for HIM." [Colossians 1. 16]

Then soon after that, "the twenty-four elders" utter their prayer:  "We give YOU thanks, O LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, the ONE WHO is and WHO was and WHO is to come, because YOU have taken to YOURSELF YOUR great power and have reined." [Revelation 11. 17] Alleluia! the LORD GOD OMNIPOTENT reigns!

Someday, every knee will bow and every tongue shall confess that MESSIAH YESHUA is KING of kings and LORD of lords.  "I have established MY KING on Zion, MY holy mountain! So now, O kings, be prudent; accept instruction and discipline, you rulers of the earth! Kiss the SON, pay homage, reverence and honour to HIM in good faith, lest HE be angered, and your way be doomed in the mere flash of HIS anger. Blessed are all who take refuge and put their trust in HIM." [Psalms (Tehillym) 2. 6, 10, 12 Tanakh, Kethuvim]  This gives added meaning with the proverb that teaches:  "He who gives a straightforward answer is like giving a kiss." [Proverbs (Mishle) 24. 26 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

In that day, "there shall be no more curse; but the Throne of GOD and of the LAMB shall be in it; and HIS servants shall serve HIM." [Revelation 22. 3]   Hallelu'YAH!  Blessed are those who put their trust in the MASTER.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
O INFINITE & MERCIFUL CREATOR , firm in the faith we are emboldened to seek YOUR PRESENCE, and we are assured that we shall find YOU if, with sincere hearts, we seek YOU. As the flowers of the field drink of the dew of heaven and of the radiance of the sun, so would we, lifting our spirits unto YOU, drink of the pure fountains of holiness. In YOU alone our souls rejoice, for YOU are our life, our joy, and our song. Amen.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
"If I forget you, O Jerusalem, let my right hand wither; let my tongue stick to my palate if I cease to think of you, if I do not keep Jerusalem in memory even at my happiest hour." [Psalms (Tehillym) 137. 5 – 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

THE NINE DAYS
"When you have begotten children and children's children and are long established in the land, should you act wickedly and make for yourselves a sculptured image in any likeness, causing the LORD your GOD displeasure and vexation, I call heaven and earth this day to witness against you, that you shall soon utterly perish from the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess; you shall not long endure in it, but shall be utterly destroyed. The LORD will scatter you among the peoples, and only a scant few of you will be left among the nations to which the LORD will drive you. There you will serve man-made gods of wood and stone, that cannot see or hear or eat or smell.
But if you search there for the LORD your GOD, you will find HIM, if only you seek HIM with all your heart and soul — when you are in distress because all these things have befallen you and, in the end, return to the LORD your GOD and obey HIM. For the LORD your GOD is a MERCIFUL GOD, HE will not forsake you nor will HE let you perish; HE will not forget the covenant which HE made on oath with your fathers.
You have but to ask about bygone ages that came before you, ever since GOD created man on the earth, from one end of heaven to the other, has anything as grand as this ever happened, or has its like ever been known? Has any people ever heard the VOICE OF GOD speaking out of a fire, as you have heard, and live? Or has any god ventured to go and take for himself one nation from the midst of another by prodigious acts, by signs, by wonders, by war, by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, and awesome power, as the LORD your GOD did for you in Egypt before your very eyes?
You have been shown to know that the LORD alone is GOD; there is none beside HIM. Out of heaven HE let you hear HIS VOICE, that HE might instruct you; on earth HE let you see HIS great fire, and from amidst that fire you heard HIS WORDS. And because HE loved your fathers, HE chose their descendants after them; HE HIMSELF brought you out of Egypt with HIS PRESENCE, in HIS great might, to drive from your path nations greater and mightier than you, to take you into their land and assign it to you as a heritage, as it is this day.
Know therefore this day and consider it in your heart that the LORD alone is GOD in heaven above and on earth below; there is no other. You shall therefore keep HIS statutes and HIS commandments which I enjoin upon you this day, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may long remain in the land that the LORD your GOD is giving you for all time." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 4. 25 - 40 Tanakh, Torah]

Yesterday, began the period known as "The Nine Days" — the days from Rosh Chodesh (head of the month), the month of Av to the fast of the ninth of Av (Tisha b'Av).  In Jewish communities worldwide, prohibitions intended to decrease joy are implemented. All these reach a climax on the Fast of the Ninth of Av, a fast similar to Yom Kippur.  During this time, we increase our solemn attitudes toward the Temple and of its loss.  We are especially careful to keep our thoughts upon the destruction of the Holy Place and of the lifestyle that was lost with its destruction.  There are no celebrations, no weddings, and no haircuts!  Among the Orthodox, even bathing is kept to a minimum and freshly laundered clothes are not worn. These prohibitions are not intended to be overwhelming, but to turn our minds toward the seriousness of sin and its consequences.

Yet, even in destruction there is consolation. After Jeremiah prophesied judgment, he delivered a message of deliverance to the nation of Judah. "For I am with you to deliver you — declares the LORD. I will make an end of all the nations among which I have dispersed you; but I will not make an end of you! I will not leave you unpunished, but will chastise you in measure." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 30. 11 Tanakh, Nevi'im; see also 46. 28]

The discipline of GOD OMNIPOTENT is a means to an end; that is, a restored relationship through repentance. "Let us search and examine our ways, and turn back to the LORD. Let us lift up our heart rather than our  hands to GOD in heaven...I have called on YOUR NAME, O LORD, from the depths of the Pit. Hear my plea — Do not shut your ear to my groan, to my cry! — YOU have ever drawn nigh when I called YOU; YOU said — Do not fear! — YOU championed my cause, O LORD, YOU have redeemed my life." [Lamentations (Ekhah) 3. 40 – 41, 55 – 58 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Through judgment, we are reminded of our need for GOD’S mercy. The month of Av reminds us that we are sustained by the mercy of the MOST HIGH GOD. When properly grasped, this consolation of Av naturally leads us to the next step…the repentance of the month, Elul.

We encourage everyone to light a candle in their homes this evening in memory of the Israelis who have died in past and present wars and read Psalm 83 aloud.  I encourage parents to gather their children and do this as a family prayer time.  Let us take this day to join hearts with our Israeli and Jewish brethren around the world and offer united and fervent prayer to our HEAVENLY FATHER.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
May our HEAVENLY FATHER hear our prayers. . . that our long-awaited MESSIAH YESHUA, THE SON OF DAVID, KING of kings comes quickly. And LORD, may YOUR Holy Temple be rebuilt speedily, even in our day.  Amen & Amen!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Procrastination: Something you do when you don't.

CUSTOMS — T'FILLIN - PHYLACTERIES
"You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 6. 8 Tanakh, Torah] "It shall be as a sign to you on your hand and as a memorial between your eyes, that the LORD'S Law may be in your mouth; for with a strong hand the LORD has brought you out of Egypt." [Exodus (Shemot) 13. 9 Tanakh, Torah]

"T'fillin" is a Hebrew word taken from the singular — t'filla, meaning prayer. The use of the T'fillin by Orthodox Jews today is based on an interpretation of SCRIPTURES: "Therefore you shall lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul, and bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 11. 18 Tanakh, Torah]
These (T'fillin) phylacteries (Greek meaning "to keep safely") consist of two square boxes of black leather stitched over the box holding the parchment with 12 stitches representing the 12 tribes of Israel. One is worn on the left arm towards the heart, and the other worn on the forehead where the hair growth starts. The head box contains four compartments which hold parchments inscribed with BIBLICAL passages (Exodus/Shemot 13. 1-10; 13.11-16; Deuteronomy/Devarim 6. 4-9; 11. 13-21). The box for the arm has only one compartment to hold one sheet on which all the four passages are written. These are fastened at the brow (seat of thought) and left arm (instrument of action) near the heart (seat of feeling) by long leather straps attached to them. This signifies desire for obedience to the First Commandment — "You shall love the LORD your GOD with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 6. 5 Tanakh, Torah] So it teaches that all thoughts, feelings, and actions are to conform to the will of ALMIGHTY GOD. The devout Jew believes that by binding one of these phylacteries on the arm and placing the other on his forehead each morning, he is truly fulfilling the Mosaic requirement!
The usual phylacteries (T'fillin) are quite small, but the very devout Jew makes "broad his phylacteries" by using larger ones. T'fillin is reverenced as highly as the SCRIPTURES for it contains the SACRED NAME OF THE LORD (YEHOWAH) not less than 23 times. One of the prayers every devout Jew repeats daily while wearing T'fillin is — "I believe with a perfect faith that MESSIAH, blessed be HIS NAME, will come speedily and though HE tarry, I shall continue to wait for HIM."
In putting the T'fillin on the body, the arm is taken first since this is the order in Deuteronomy 6:8 — the box is fixed firmly on the naked left arm, upon the biceps muscle (denoting strength), above the elbow, and when this is done, the worshiper recites the benediction, "Praised are YOU O LORD, KING OF THE UNIVERSE, WHO has sanctified us with HIS commandments and enjoined upon us the commandment of the T'fillin."
Formed in the leather strap of the hand phylactery is the Hebrew letter yod — in the phylactery for the head, the Hebrew letter daleth — and embossed on the box the Hebrew letter sheen. These three letters spell "SHADDAI", the ALL-SUFFICIENT, ALMIGHTY ONE. Jews feel that by applying the phylacteries they are placing the very NAME of GOD upon themselves.
The hand phylactery is wound about the arm seven times and in succession three times about the middle finger (showing the three-pronged letter of the sheen), once about the fourth, once above the middle, and finally around the whole hand. While this is done the following words are recited — "I betroth you to me forever; I betroth you to me in righteousness, in judgment, in kindness and in mercy. I betroth you to me in faithfulness and you shall know the LORD."
The tefillah shel rosh (phylactery for the head) is put on next. The box is placed on the forehead above the nose and the strap is fixed at the back of the neck exactly above the middle of the neck. The end of the straps hang down over the shoulders to the front of the body. These Tefillin are removed in reverse order from that in which they are put on.
While wearing the phylacteries, the worshiper petitions the HOLY ONE to consider the performances of the commandment regarding the T'fillin as though all six hundred and thirteen commandments, of which he feels the Law of Moses consists, had been faithfully executed.
In the days of the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA, the T'fillin (phylacteries) were more in use than today. The spiritual leaders who desired their religiosity to be noticed, would make their phylacteries larger than was customary. These Pharisees, Sadducees and Hebrew Scribes claimed attention so as to elevate themselves to a higher position in the eyes of the people. They made a show of their supposed devotion to the LORD GOD in order that they, in turn, would receive some of that same devotion from Israel! JESUS rebuked them for this: "But all their works they do to be seen by men. They make broad their phylacteries." [Matthew 23. 5]
How like these Jewish religious leaders have been ALL classes of people over the face of the earth! For in the heart of the natural man there is a noisy outcry for attention, for adoration. "Please notice me" — "See what I have done" — "Am I not devout?" are thoughts in the minds of many who claim to be followers of the lowly NAZARENE WHO made HIMSELF of no reputation and received not honor among men! They are "broadening their phylacteries" to be seen, to be heard, to be praised even as the Pharisees of old! More accurately, we must love the Lord in spirit and in truth, and avoid ostentatious (pretentious, hollow, vain) form that exalts man and self.
Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Welcome Shabbat Mattot/Massei (“Tribes/Journeys”)! — [Numbers 30:1-32, 6:13;Jeremiah 2:4-28, 3:4;Matthew 23:1-25:46] Come, let us go out to meet the Sabbath Queen, Sabbath presence, let us welcome. O FATHER in Heaven, in YOUR great love YOU appointed for us a day of rest, that in YOUR PRESENCE we may regain that freedom of the soul which comes through obedience to YOUR commandments. Quickened by YOUR SPIRIT, may we learn how to ennoble the things of earth by sanctifying them to YOUR service. We honour & praise the LORD YESHUA, the BLESSED ONE, WHO separates the sacred from the mundane and gives true Sabbath peace & rest; where there is wonderful joy in living in "Kedushat Shevi'it . . . Sabbath Holiness!"

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

AMAZING, ASTONISHING TEACHING
"And when the multitudes heard this, they were astonished at HIS Teaching." [Matthew 22. 33]

Time and again the multitudes were astonished at the amazing teaching of the LORD JESUS.  This occurrence was after the Sadducees questioned the MASTER about the resurrection and HE made it clear that they knew neither the power GOD nor the SCRIPTURES.
The first use teaching, doctrine by the MESSIAH was just after HIS sermon on the Mount, where the people again were astonished at what HE was saying because HIS Word was with such power. [Matthew 7. 28]  When JESUS taught in the synagogue at Capernaum — again they were astonished at HIS Teaching, for HE taught them "as one having authority, and not as the scribes." [Mark 1. 21 – 22; also Luke 4. 31 – 34]  Even the "scribes and chief priests heard it and sought how they might destroy HIM; for they feared HIM, because all the people were astonished at HIS teaching." [Mark 11. 18 – 19]  And the preaching of the LORD from Paul’s mouth astonished many of the proconsul and they believed when they heard what was being taught and saw what had been done. [see Acts 13. 4 - 12]
MESSIAH YESHUA spoke with authority, not as the scribes for HE held the credentials to declare, "MY doctrine is not MINE, but HIS WHO sent ME. If anyone wills to do HIS will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from GOD or whether I speak on MY OWN authority. Whoever speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but HE who seeks the glory of the ONE who sent HIM is true, and no unrighteousness is in HIM." [John 7. 16 – 19]
Paul taught this astonishing doctrine too being very careful to teach only the WORD OF GOD.  This too is our due, to teach only the context of the inerrant, doctrinal authority of GOD’S WRITTEN WORD.  Teaching and doctrine are the same, so true instruction is indoctrination "teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you" [Matthew 28. 20]  — the central theme of MESSIAH’S Great Commission.  It is imperative that we, like Paul, "declare to you the whole counsel of GOD" [Acts 20. 27]; for "whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of CHRIST does not have GOD. He who abides in the doctrine of CHRIST has both the FATHER and the SON. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds." [2 John 9 - 11]
Truly, we serve an amazingly astonishing wonderful HOLY MASTER.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Bidding farewell to Shabbat! May it be YOUR will that the coming week brings us a life of peace, a life of goodness, a life of blessing, a life of health, and a life of prosperity.
We thank YOU, GREAT & MIGHTY GOD for by YOUR mercies and grace we were taught the sanctity of the weekly day of rest, Sabbath is the sign of the tie that binds us to YOU. Keep us ever grateful and grant us YOUR perfect rest. Amen
"Commit your works to the LORD, and your thoughts will be established." Proverbs/Mishle 16:3 "Those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint." Isaiah/Yeshayah 40:31
Have a wonderful week serving the MASTER in all that you do and say.

CUSTOMS — T'FILLIN - PHYLACTERIES

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Being in GOD’S will is always the perfect, peaceful place to be.

UNSEEN THINGS
"By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith." [Hebrews 11. 7]

The phrase "things not seen" is used three times in the NEW COVENANT.  Interestingly enough, these all refer to the past, present, and future works of ALMIGHTY CREATOR GOD with respect to the things that are seen.

Hebrews 11 is known as the "faith chapter" and it begins with the incredible words, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen...By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the WORD OF GOD, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible." [Hebrews 11. 1, 3]  That is to say, the material things of this present world were not made of pre-existing materials; they were supernaturally created by the WORD, the MASTER DESIGNER!  These things which are now seen provide evidence, or even better confident of the things not seen — that is, of GOD’S creative power completed in the past.

The processes that are now seen, distinct from the materials, date from the time of the Great Flood especially.  Before the flood there was a different atmosphere, Noah had not yet seen the diverse seasonal changes, and various other present-day incidences such as rain itself. Previously "a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground." [Genesis/Bereshith 2. 6]  Great changes occurred during and after the flood that were instituted in the days of Noah when "the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water." [2 Peter 3. 6; also see Psalms 104]

Finally, "we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal." [2 Corinthians 4. 18]   Just as surely as the materials and processes of the present world once were unseen, but are now easily seen, so the future eternal world will soon be clearly seen when the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA returns.

"It is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which GOD has prepared for those who love HIM...But GOD has revealed them to us through HIS SPIRIT that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by GOD." [2 Corinthians 2. 9b, 12b]  The LORD indeed has done wondrous things in heaven and earth, and even now HIS awesome handiwork continues.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
MOST HOLY ONE, YOU are blessed beyond all hymns, praises and consolations that may be uttered in this world. My soul desires YOU in the night. Yes, by my spirit within me I will seek YOU early; for when YOUR judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. Therefore, in the shadow of YOUR wings I will rejoice. HalleluYAH! Amen!
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Worry does not empty tomorrows struggles — it empties your strength for today.

LESSONS LEARNED
"But go and learn what this means — I desire mercy and not sacrifice. For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance." [Matthew 9. 13]

The LORD YESHUA ha’MASHIACH "came into the world to save sinners" [1 Timothy 1. 15], and continues to call all who would be HIS disciples to "learn from [and of] ME" [Matthew 11. 29]; and the text contains the first use of "learn" in the NEW COVENANT, thus signifying a basic item we must learn when we become true followers of the SAVIOR.

MESSIAH stressed that the ALMIGHTY ONE cared nothing about the ritualistic offering of animal sacrifices, as such, but rather desired understanding of the meaning of those sacrifices, accompanied by the motivating love and faith of a repentant heart. HE referred them back to their own SCRIPTURES: "For I desire mercy, not sacrifice; obedience to GOD, rather than burnt offerings." [Hoses (Hoshea) 6. 6 Tanakh, Nevi’im] This is generally difficult, but it is the most crucial fundamental lesson to learn by one seeking forgiveness and salvation.

There are continually many lessons to learn afterwards — most will be difficult even for sincere, believing CHRISTians. The Apostle Paul comments about one of them he had learned the hard way, "Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content." [Philippians 4. 11] Another intricate but very essential lesson has to do with the CHRISTian humility in leadership, understanding the WRITTEN WORD — "that you may learn in us not to think beyond what is written, that none of you may be puffed up on behalf of one against the other." [1 Corinthians 4. 6] Because, "all SCRIPTURE is given by inspiration of GOD, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of GOD may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." [2 Timothy 3. 16 - 17]

Even in HIS perfect humanity, the LORD YESHUA had lessons to learn — "though HE was a SON, yet HE learned obedience by the things which HE suffered." [Hebrews 5. 8]

Ultimately, having learned these and many other such lessons, we must not forget them. Paul, in his final letter, so reminds us to — "continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from WHOM you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the HOLY SCRIPTURES, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in CHRIST JESUS." [2 Timothy 3. 14 - 15] May we learn and be able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
When things around you appear dark and terrifying, hold on to the promises of LORD GOD. HE is in complete control. "The ROCK! — HIS deeds are perfect; Yes! all HIS ways are just; a FAITHFUL GOD, never false, true and just is HE." [Deuteronomy/Devarim 32. 4] Great and mighty is our MERCIFUL & LOVING GOD. Believe on YESHUA, the LOVING SAVIOR, for because of HIM we can face tomorrow and be comforted now knowing we have been changed for a reason, transformed, not for a season, but transformed for Eternal Life.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
We are only as strong as what we struggle with.

ALMOST ALL
"According to the Law, ALMOST ALL things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission." [Hebrews 9. 22]

In the OLD COVENANT sin is dealt with by a sacrifice of blood for a covering. "For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you for making expiation for your lives upon the altar; it is the blood, as life, that effects atonement." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 17. 11 Tanakh, Torah] The Hebrew word "kaphar" means atone, cleans, cover-over, forgive, pardon, purge, propitiate, or reconcile.

Chapter 4 of Leviticus lists the sacrifices required for sins done unintentionally by a common person, a ruler, or the whole congregation. However, they were only for unintentional sins, not for premeditated willful sins. There was no covering for any sins done deliberately. The person who emphatically sins was to be cut off because of their wickedness.

The Almighty ONE tells us that there are those we are not even to pray for. "As for you, do not pray for this people, do not raise a cry or pray for them, do not make intercession to Me; for I will not listen to you...they vex and provoke Me to anger to their own disgrace." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 7. 16, 19 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "This is the nation that would not obey the LORD their GOD, nor accept correction. Truth and faithfulness has perished vanished from their mouths." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 7. 28 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "Do not pray for the benefit of this people." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 14. 11 Tanakh, Torah]

In the New Covenant also, the only covering for unintentional sin is blood — the most precious blood of the SUPREME SACRIFICE, MESSIAH YESHUA, GOD'S ONLY–BEGOTTEN SON. "GOD demonstrates HIS OWN love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, CHRIST died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by HIS blood, we shall be saved from wrath through HIM." [Romans 5. 8 - 9] And you have been "washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the NAME of the LORD JESUS and by the SPIRIT of our GOD." [1 Corinthians 6. 11]

However, if one willfully sins "after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins." [Hebrews 10. 26] Those who have such contempt, despise and totally reject MESSIAH YESHUA, WHO is GOD'S MAGNIFICENT METHOD of dealing with sin will receive a much worse punishment for they have "trampled the SON of GOD underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the SPIRIT OF GRACE?" [Hebrews 10. 29] When the LORD ETERNAL judges HIS people, assuredly it will be, "a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the LIVING GOD." [Hebrews 10. 30 - 31]

Though we were enemies of the HOLY GOD, through the death of HiS SON we can be justified by the blood of the LAMB, and saved from the wrath of GOD through YesHUA ha’MASHIACH, the only ONE through Whom we can receive reconciliation. The GIVER OF THE LAW calls even now: "BEHOLD! NOW IS THE ACCEPTED TIME; BEHOLD, NOW IS THE DAY OF SALVATION." [2 Corinthians 6. 2] The power of the LORD GOD ETERNAL, the MASTER OF MERCY & TRUTH, is mighty to save; don't turn HIM away!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
CREATOR of the Universe we extol YOUR greatness and goodness. We rejoice at YOUR guiding hand and seek YOUR inspiration and purify our spirits that in our daily tasks we may be conscious of YOUR PRESENCE. Help us to see that no work prospers unless it brings blessings to other lives, and no gain truly enriches if it adds not to the happiness of others. Help us so to live that when we have gathered our final harvest, many shall rise up and call us blessed, because we pointed them to YOU. Teach us to seek YOU ever more within the sanctuary of our souls, within YOUR tabernacle, and in the congregation of YOUR worshipers, Amen.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
"How great man would be were he not so arrogant." [Talmud, Kallah Rabbah 3 – Proverb] The greater you are, the more you must humble yourself.

GRACE IN QUIETNESS
"But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment." [Matthew 12. 36]

"Let your speech always be with grace" [Colossians 4. 6] the HOLY SCRIPTURE says — "seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer every man...and...strive to lead a quiet life, and to mind your own business." [1 Thessalonians 4. 11]

There is a sin of talkativeness and many are tormented by it and suffer because of it. HOLY WRIT continues to teach us, "A knowledgeable man is sparing with his words. Even a fool, if he keeps silent, is deemed wise; and intelligent, if he seals his lips." [Proverbs (Mishle) 17. 27 - 28 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "Keep your mouth from being rash, and let not your mouth be quick to bring forth speech before GOD. For GOD is in heaven and you are on earth; that is why your words should be few. Just as dreams come with much brooding, so does foolish utterance come with much speech." [Ecclesiastes (Kohelet) 5. 2 - 3 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "A wise man's talk brings him favor, but a fool's lips are his undoing. His talk begins as silliness and ends as disastrous madness, yet the fool talks and talks!" [Ecclesiastes (Kohelet) 10. 12 - 14 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"Therefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath." [James 1. 19] "Let your Yes be YES! and your No be NO! — for whatever is more than these comes from the evil one." [Matthew 5. 37]

"The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but lawlessness covers the mouth of the wicked. The lips of the righteous sustain many, but fools die for lack of sense. Where there is much talking, there is no lack of transgressing, but he that curbs his tongue shows sense." [Proverbs (Mishle) 10. 11, 19, 21 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting; but rather giving of thanks." [Ephesians 5. 4]

There are many other such warnings regarding talking and all should be sobering. The OMNIPOTENT, OMNIPRESENT ALMIGHTY GOD has a recording of all our conversations, and we will be required to explain all words we spoke which were not gracious and edifying. We should take heed and not even mention any hurtful or profane words, control our pointless, useless and empty conversations, and quit the sin of talking too much; then cultivate prayerfully the GRACE OF QUIETNESS in all meekness.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Our prayer for each of you is to have first-hand knowledge of our living salvation through our GREAT MESSIAH, YESHUA the KING. Be sure to share this HOPE with someone today, that your joy may be full! Our AWESOME HOLY GOD is worthy of all our praise and worship, even in difficult times.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Charity is the sign of a righteous man. [Midrash, Torah]

VIOLENCE & FORCE
"And from the days of John the Baptist until now the Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force." [Matthew 11. 12]

To clarify (explain and/or simplify) this text of HOLY SCRIPTURE, the setting is ever important or one might imagine that violence is the demeanor a believer should demonstrate, which is irrational and absurd at best.  Because of violence, the RIGHTEOUS HOLY ONE destroyed the earth in the days of Noah with a flood. "The earth became corrupt before ELOHIYM (GOD); the earth was filled with violence." [Genesis (Bereshith) 6. 11 Tanakh, Torah]  "The LORD tests the righteous man, but loathes the wicked and the one who loves violence." [Psalms (Tehillym) 11. 5 Tanakh, Torah]

In the NEW COVENANT, the LORD GOD gave those who rejected HIM over to a reprobate mind and they turned violent. [Romans 1. 28 - 32]  Those seeking to be overseers (bishops) are not to be given to violence, thus MESSIAH'S followers are to be gentle and harmless as doves. [Matthew 10. 16; Philippians 2. 15; 1 Thessalonians 2. 7; 1 Timothy 3. 3; 2 Timothy 2. 24; Titus 1. 7; 3. 2; Hebrews 7. 26; James 3. 17; 1 Peter 2. 18]

When John the Baptizer first began to preaching repentance as that the Kingdom of Heaven was at hand. [Matthew 3. 1]  The Pharisees and Sadducees, the nation's leaders, brought immediate resistance, as the people were flocking to John instead of them.  When they came to John's baptism, he indisputably declared to them — "Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?" [Matthew 3. 7]

Soon afterwards, MESSIAH YESHUA came preaching the same message, and encountered the same hostile conflict. [Matthew 4. 17]   The LORD YESHUA also pronounced a woe on this same group saying, "Woe to you, Scribes and Pharisees, Hypocrites! Because you build the tombs of the prophets and adorn the monuments of the righteous, and say — If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. — Therefore you are witnesses against yourselves that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets. Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers' guilt. Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell? Therefore, indeed, I send you prophets, wise men and scribes: some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city, that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. Assuredly, I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation." [Matthew 23. 29 - 36]

After a short while, John was beheaded and later the LORD JESUS was crucified.  The Kingdom of Heaven in its early development indeed suffered violence, and it continues throughout the world even now.  Most of the Apostles suffered martyrdom in various forms and there are millions of true followers of YESHUA the BELOVED REDEEMER that have not only met with similar opposition and persecution, but were tortured and murdered also.

In spite of all the powerful, evil forces of Satan, demons and wicked men, there is no power that can prevail against the ANOINTED ONE and HIS true church, those redeemed by HIS precious blood.  The Kingdom of Heaven will cover the earth, KING JESUS will rule in righteousness.  "In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of GOD that is in CHRIST JESUS our LORD." [Romans 8. 37 - 39]

The more force, pressure and opposition against GOD'S Kingdom, the greater has been its growth.  We don't win by violence, but we are overcomers by truth and love.  The LORD YESHUA promises an Everlasting Covenant:  "These things I have spoken to you, that in ME you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." [John 16. 33]  Not by might, nor by power, but by MY SPIRIT — says the LORD OF HOSTS.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel !
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Bidding farewell to Sabbath.  There is a place for believers in the midst of a pagan society — a challenging position of change and conflict overwhelmed with problems and full of difficulties. For the fainthearted, this is threatening; for the audacious, courageous and noble-minded — Exciting!  Try a little exhilarating excitement!
The day is short and the work is great; but the laborers are idle, though the reward be great, and the MASTER of the work presses. It is not incumbent upon you to complete the work; but you must not therefore cease from it. If you have worked much, great shall be your reward — for the MASTER WHO employed you is faithful in HIS payment. But know that the true reward is not of this world.
Have a super blessed week.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
In BIBLICAL days prophets were astir while the world was asleep. Today the world is astir while churches and synagogues are busy with trivialities. [Abraham Joshua Herschel]

WRITTEN BY GOD'S FINGER
"It shall be a sign for all time between ME and the people of Israel . For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day HE ceased from work and was refreshed. When HE finished speaking with him on Mount Sinai , HE gave Moses the two TABLES OF THE PACT, stone tablets inscribed with the finger of GOD." [Exodus (Shemot) 31. 17 - 18 Tanakh, Torah]

"All SCRIPTURE is given by inspiration of GOD" [2 Timothy 3. 16], but this portion of SCRIPTURE was given by direct inscription of SOVEREIGN LORD GOD HIMSELF! Moses testified, "The LORD gave me the two Tables of Stone inscribed by the finger of GOD, with the exact words that the LORD had addressed to you out of the fire on the day of the Assembly." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 9. 10 Tanakh, Torah] "HE wrote down on the Tables the terms of the Covenant, the Ten Commandments." [Exodus (Shemot) 34. 28 Tanakh, Torah] Thus, out of all the HOLY SCRIPTURES, GOD MOST HIGH chose to write this section, not through one of HIS prophets, but with HIS OWN finger! It should, therefore, be taken literally and seriously.

It is also significant that these Commandments were structured around a weekly day of rest, remembering GOD'S creation week — six Days of creating and establishing everything in heaven and earth, followed by sanctified day of rest and refreshment. [Genesis/Bereshith 1. 31 - 2. 3; Exodus/Shemot 20. 8 - 11] Ever since the creation, people have observed a weekly calendar. The seven-day week (unlike the day, month, and year) has no solar basis at all. People keep time in weeks simply because THE MASTER CREATOR did! After each day of creation, GOD declared that there was "evening and there was morning" — but the seventh day was blessed and sanctified, and the phrase "evening and morning" was not declared. [see Genesis/Bereshith 1] The reason — when we rest IN HIM, GOD gives us an unlimited, continual Sabbath.

"The Sabbath was made for man" — the LORD YESHUA declared. [Mark 2. 27] Since the Most HOLY ONE considered the truth of the Literal Creation Week so important that HE inscribed it HIMSELF, we should believe this portion of HIS WORD first of all. . . then follow through by believing everything else HE has told us, and obey (do, observe, follow totally) HIS commands that we might live.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Welcoming Sabbath Pinchas (Phinehas) [Numbers 25:10-29:40; Jeremiah 1:l-2:3; Mark 11:27-12:37]! Those who keep the Sabbath and call it a delight shall rejoice in GOD'S Kingdom.
For the TORAH, for the privilege of worship, for the prophets, and for this Sabbath day, given us for sanctification and rest, for honor and for glory, let us thank and bless the LORD our GOD. Blessed are YOU, our LORD GOD, WHO sanctifies the Sabbath, Israel and all who love YOUR PRECIOUS SON, YESHUA the WORD made FLESH.
"And you shall call the Sabbath a delight." [Yeshayah/Isaiah 53.13]
It is a mitzvah to hallow Shabbat by setting it apart from the other days of the week....Shabbat must be distinguished from the other days of the week so that those who observe it may be transformed by its holiness.

Post  Admin on Fri 14 Jul 2017, 9:47 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
There are four types of men; the one who says,
"Mine is mine and yours is yours." — The Commonplace or Sodom type.
"Mine is yours and yours is mine" — The Am'ha-Arez (Deficient & Covetous) type.
"Mine is yours and yours is yours." — The Saint.
"Mine is mine and yours is mine." — The Wicked.

MESSIAH & THE FOUR THIEVES
"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." [John 10. 10]

There are four different thieves mention in the NEW COVENANT: The first was Judas Iscariot, the disciple, was the first thief involved in the events surrounding the crucifixion of our LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH. Definitely, Judas was the thief in charge of the money box and was known for taking what was in it. [John 12. 6] Judas' epithet: "Betrayer of The KING OF GLORY."

Barabbas, the second thief, was also a troublemaker and had committed murderer in the insurrection. [Mark 15. 7; John 18. 40] This convicted criminal, sentenced to death, was released, as was the custom at Passover. . . and YESHUA OF NAZARETH, the KING OF THE JEWS, was condemned to die the horrible death by crucifixion.

"Two robbers were crucified with HIM (MESSIAH) one on the right and another on the left." [Matthew 27. 38] One of the condemned (the third thief) belittled and ridiculed the MASTER saying — "If YOU are the CHRIST, save YOURSELF and us." [Luke 23. 39 — fulfilling prophecy of MESSIAH, Psalms/Tehillym 22. 8]

However, the fourth thief believed the SAVIOR and said, "we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this MAN has done nothing wrong. Then he said to JESUS — LORD, remember me when YOU come into YOUR Kingdom. And JESUS said to him — Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with ME in Paradise." [Luke 23. 41 - 43]

The four thieves were all deserving the punishment of death. Judas, the betrayer, ended his own life in suicide. Barabbas was a beneficiary — though only for a time. On the cross, one criminal was a mocker, whose ultimate destiny was Hell and the Lake of Fire. But the thief who believed only moments before his death, received Salvation and Eternal Life. The LORD YESHUA ha’MASHIACH, WHO took on HIMSELF the penalty for thieves and robbers, can save anyone who comes to HIM because the REDEEMER\MEDIATOR came "that we might have life, and have it more abundantly." [John 10. 10] Who so ever will. . . Come!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
O magnify the LORD with me and let us exalt HIS NAME together. HIS glory is in the earth and in the heavens. HE is the STRENGTH of all HIS servants, the PRAISE of them that truly love HIM, the HOPE OF ISRAEL, the people HE brought near to HIMSELF. HIS Law is a Tree of Life to them that lay hold of it, and the supporters thereof are happy. Its ways are ways of pleasantness, and all its paths are peace. HalleluYAH!
True compassion is limitless. It is not an extension of your needs and defined by your limited perspective. Compassion for another is achieved by having a selfless attitude, expressing compassion and empathy in your heart.
Have a blessed and amazingly wonderful week as you continue to praise and bless the LORD of Glory.

Post  Admin on Thu 13 Jul 2017, 2:44 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
When passion burns within you, remember that it was given to you for a good purpose. [Hassidic saying]

GODS VIEW OF SEX
"And GOD created man in HIS image; in the image of GOD HE created him; male and female HE created them. GOD blessed them and GOD said to them — Be fertile and increase." [Genesis (Bereshit) 1. 27 - 28 Tanakh, Torah]

Human sexuality was originally given to be a blessing. Man and woman were created in the Image of ALMIGHTY GOD. Nudity was not a sin but was pure and good. The man and woman were both naked before the HOLY ONE, and GOD saw everything HE had made and, "indeed it was very good."
The woman was cherished by man from the very first. When the MASTER DESIGNER created the woman out of the rib HE took from the side of the man and brought her to the man, Adam looked at the naked woman and said, "This one at last is bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh, she shall be called woman (‘ishshah) for from man (‘’ish) she was taken." [Genesis (Bereshit) 2. 23 Tanakh, Torah]
CREATOR GOD accepted Adam’s response, when he saw the woman. GOD said — That is correct, "hence a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, so they shall become one flesh." [Genesis (Bereshit) 2. 24 Tanakh, Torah] Physical intimacy contains within it the highest potential for spirituality. It is one of the greatest means a married couple is given to express holiness.
The attraction and responsibility between the man and woman was given by the ETERNAL ONE. The LORD GOD ALMIGHTY put in the heart of the woman a desire to please her husband, and gave the man responsibility over the woman to care for her and protect her. Notice, this did not include abuse or misuse of any kind. All commandments by GOD regarding the relationship between man and woman are for the protection and care of the woman. Sexuality is like a mighty river. If harnessed, it can bring irrigation and magnificent energy to countless communities. If unharnessed and out of control, it brings floods and destruction.
After the Great Flood, which came to remove violence of mankind from the earth, GOD renewed the blessing to Noah and said, "Be fertile and increase and fill the earth." [Genesis (Bereshit) 9. 1 Tanakh, Torah] Because of the tendency of mankind to turn to violence and wickedness, GOD gave laws regulating behavior and human sexuality. The following are specific sexual relationships & practices the HOLY & RIGHTEOUS LORD has forbidden: Adultery.
Forbidden sexual contact:
Bestiality (sexual relations with an animal)
Incest (sex with near relative)
Mother
Step Mother
Sister or half-sister
Granddaughter
Half-sister
Aunt (father's side)
Aunt (mother's side)
Aunt (uncle's wife, father's side)
Daughter-in-law
Sister-in-law (brother's wife)
A Woman and her Daughter and her Granddaughter
Sister-in-law (wife's sister)
And, do not marry your wife's sister while your wife is still living.
Additional & Repeated Commandments
Do not have sexual relations with a woman during her menstrual period.
Do not commit adultery.
Do not give your children to be sacrificed to Molech.
Homosexuality, forbidden as an abomination (outrage, disgrace, repugnance, loathsome, abhorrence, detestation) to the RIGHTEOUS & HOLY GOD.
Bestiality (sexual relations with an animal). [see Leviticus/Vayikra 18]

These sins are the reason the land had been defiled and had vomited out its inhabitants that Israel was commanded to utterly destroy; and the ones not only practiced, but most are legalized in America . What fools we have been these last sixty years. We put the wolf in charge of the hen house, then wonder that our children are being devoured. Tolerance of what GOD calls wickedness, and appeasement toward the ones given to it, does not make the public more noble, but the reverse, they become more debauched and depraved.
GOD forewarned: "Do not defile yourselves with any of these things; for it is by such that the nations are defiled; which I am casting out before you. For the land is defiled; therefore I visit the punishment of its iniquity upon it, and the land vomits out its inhabitants. You must therefore keep MY statutes and MY judgments, you must not commit any of these abhorrent things, neither any of your own nation or any stranger who dwells among you for all these abominations were done by the people who were in the land before you, and the land was defiled, the land will vomit you out also when you defile it." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 18. 24 - 28 Tanakh, Torah] Every nation whose people persistently do these things will soon bring the wrathful judgment of GOD down on its own head and be destroyed.
Always remember what GOD forewarned about those who are sexually immoral, "But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." [Revelation 21. 8] It would be prudently wise and most sensible to "Fear GOD and keep HIS commandments! For this applies to all mankind: that GOD will call every creature to account for all their conduct, be it good or bad. For GOD will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil." [Ecclesiastes (Kohelet) 12. 13 - 14 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
Be warned! . . . because of your sin, the Lake of Fire is your eternal destination. However, if and you want valid information on how to change your eternal destiny, please feel free to Email and we will be glad to send you valuable information to help you find the way to a blessed eternity with MESSIAH YESHUA, the ONE WHO died that you might live. We care about your eternal soul.
Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Blessings to all who love Zion ! We were greatly blessed when the HOLY ONE has brought us out of slavery from Egypt and took HIS people directly to Mount Sinai . There HE gave us the Law to keep us free from slavery (to sin). Then, HE gave us HIS ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON, YESHUA ha’MASHIACH to keep us free and give us true peace and eternal rest in HIM. HalleluYAH! What a SAVIOR!
For compassion to be effective and healthy it needs to be disciplined and focused. It requires discretion both to whom you express compassion, and in the measure of the compassion itself. It is recognizing when compassion should be expressed and when it should be withheld or limited. Discipline in compassion is knowing that being truly compassionate sometimes requires withholding compassion. Because compassion is not an expression of the bestower's needs but a response to the recipient's needs.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Never leave a person in the dark, always leave them searching for the light.

GOD OMNIPOTENT
"Job said in reply to the LORD — I know that YOU can do everything, that nothing YOU propose is impossible for YOU." [Job (Iyob) 42. 1 - 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

This was the testimony of Job at the end of his sufferings, as GOD revealed HIMSELF to him and Job acknowledged both the omnipotence and omniscience of his MAKER, WHOSE NAME is "EL SHADDAI (GOD ALMIGHTY)." [Genesis (Bereshith) 35. 11 Tanakh, Torah]  "Ah LORD GOD! YOU made heaven and earth by YOUR great might and outstretched arm. Nothing is too wondrous for YOU!" [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 32. 17 Tanakh, Nevi'im]  Furthermore, the MIGHTY CREATOR required neither time nor process to create, make, and complete the infinite cosmos in all its complexity.  "By the WORD OF THE LORD the heavens were made; by the BREATH of HIS mouth, all their host. For HE spoke, and it was; HE commanded, and it endured." [Psalms (Tehillym) 33. 6, 9 Tanakh, Kethuvim]   "Because of HIS great might and vast power, not one fails to appear." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 40. 26 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

In light of this truth, all the schemes of man are superficial and trivial.  "The nations are but a drop in a bucket, reckoned as dust on a balance. The very coastlands the ALMIGHTY lifts like specks." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 40. 15 Tanakh, Nevi'im]   How foolish man is to boast of their doings!

The HOLY OMNIPOTENT ONE and HIS WORD are trustworthy — and, "I am persuaded neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing shall be able to separate us from the love of GOD which is in CHRIST JESUS our LORD." [Romans 8. 38 - 39]    In all things we are more than conquerors through YESHUA ha'MASHIACH WHO loves us. Absolutely magnificent and great is HIS faithfulness!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
17 Tammuz 5777 (July 11th this year) is Tzom Tammuz — the Fast of Tammuz (begins at dawn), the traditional day that Moses broke the tablets [Exodus32.6-19]; the Temple service was disrupted [Jeremiah 52.6-7]; and the walls of Jerusalem were breached. Three weeks of mourning, "between the straits (bein hametzarim)" — begin on the 17th of Tammuz and Tisha b’Av — the historical days of misfortune and calamity for the Jewish people.  During this time, both the 1st and 2nd Temples were destroyed, among other tragedies.
Tammuz, although a Babylonian name of an idol, is used for the month as sages comment that this name was deliberately chosen to remind the Jewish people of the judgment that comes from idolatry – beginning with the Golden Calf incident and later with the secret cult worship in “high places” that led to the destruction of the Temple.
Seek the LORD while HE may be found, call upon HIM while HE is near. Diligently obey the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL, incline your ear to the MASTER and you will live. O LORD GOD, send forth YOUR Light and YOUR Truth to those who grope in darkness, and the knowledge of YOU to those who follow after strange gods; and may YOUR

House be called "THE HOUSE OF PRAYER" for all people. Grant that wherever a heart sighs in anguish under the burden of guilt, wherever a soul yearns to return to YOU, it may feel the effect of YOUR pardoning love and mercy, Amen!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The world will have a generation of idiots when we allow technology to surpasses our human interaction.

FELLOWSHIP & LIGHT
"Truly our fellowship is with the FATHER and with HIS SON JESUS CHRIST." [1 John 1. 3]

Thanks be to the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, WHO adopted us into HIS family. One of the most amazingly wonderful ways HE showed this love was that HE "predestined us to adoption as sons by JESUS CHRIST to HIMSELF, according to the good pleasure of HIS will, to the praise of the glory of HIS grace, by which HE made us accepted in the BELOVED." [Ephesians 1. 5] What a privilege, we were "called into the fellowship of HIS SON, JESUS CHRIST our LORD." [1 Corinthians 1. 9]

In the genuine HIGH PRIESTLY PRAYER the LORD YESHUA prayed that we, HIS chosen disciples, might have the same kind of relationship with the HEAVENLY FATHER that HE HIMSELF had throughout eternity. Our minds may not totally grasp that wonder — except as we try to understand something of the key to walking, "in the light as HE is in the LIGHT." [1 John 1. 7]

We find manifest signs of this LIGHT in the nature of the light of the universe:
Light is unchangeable. "I am the LORD, I do not change." [Malachi/Malakhi 3. 6]
Light exposes everything (reveals, brings clarity). "What is hidden HE brings forth to light." [Job/Iyob 28. 11] "HE reveals deep and secret things; HE knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with HIM." [Daniel/Danyel 2. 22]
Light remains light, one cannot make light dark. "The sun shall no longer be your light by day, nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you; but the LORD will be to you an EVERLASTING LIGHT, and your GOD your glory." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 60. 19]
Light sustains life. "For with YOU is the Fountain of Life; in YOUR LIGHT we see light." [Psalms/Tehillym 36. 9]
Likewise, the nature of darkness is also very instructive:
Darkness is driven away by the smallest spark.
Darkness covers everything (hides, difficult to understand, unintelligible).
Darkness kills.

"The path of the righteous is like the radiant sunlight, shining ever brighter unto the perfect day. The way of the wicked is all darkness; they do not know what makes them stumble." [Proverbs (Mishle) 4. 18 - 19 Tanakh, Kethuvim] The promise of fellowship with GOD is that HE "will lead them in paths they have not known…I will turn darkness before them to light, and rough places level ground." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 42. 16 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

Therefore, "let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. For GOD did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our LORD YESHUA ha’MASHIACH, WHO died for us." [1 Thessalonians 5. 8 - 10]

Since we were delivered "from the power of darkness" [Colossians 1. 13], we should no longer "fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose (reprove, reprimand) them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret." [Ephesians 5. 11 - 12]

Thankfully, our LORD YESHUA has "called you out of darkness into His marvelous light." [1 Peter 2. 9] Therefore, the HOLY ETERNAL ONE continues to call: "Awake, you who sleep, arise from the dead, and CHRIST will give you light." [Ephesians 5. 14] Light and fellowship is such a fabulous gift freely given…just receive it!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
May ALMIGHTY GOD’S love and peace shine out of each of us...as we bow in adoration before the KING OF GLORY.
. . . bright enough for all to see
. . . clear enough for all to follow.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A person's age can be measured by the degree of pain one feels as one comes in contact with a new idea.

WISDOM'S GLORY
"For MY plans are not your plans, nor are MY ways and words yours — declares the LORD. But as the heavens are high above the earth, so are MY ways, plans and words above yours." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 55. 8 - 9 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Our human standards of value are vastly different from those of the ALMIGHTY OMNIPOTENT CREATOR GOD. The decisive factors that men use are far from being righteous or just. Thus, man's wisdom can only generate pride which is condemned: "Pride goes before ruin; arrogance, before failure." [Proverbs (Mishle) 16. 18 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "When pride appears, disgrace follows; but wisdom is with those who are humble." [Proverbs (Mishle) 11. 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

HOLY SCRIPTURE reminds us that there are "not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called...that no flesh should glory in HIS PRESENCE." [1 Corinthians 1. 26, 29] For the "beginning of wisdom is fear of the LORD, and knowledge of the HOLY ONE is understanding." [Proverbs (Mishle) 9. 10 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

We should strive for wisdom, might and riches…but not that of the worlds for they will perish. Rather, in all things we should "commend ourselves as ministers of GOD: In much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distresses, in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in fastings; by purity, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the HOLY SPIRIT, by sincere love, by the WORD OF TRUTH, by the POWER OF GOD, by the ARMOR OF RIGHTEOUSNESS on the right hand and on the left, by honor and dishonor, by evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true; as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold we live; as chastened, and yet not killed; as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things." [2 Corinthians 6. 4 - 10] Know that GOD'S strength is made perfect in our weakness, HIS grace is sufficient for us. [2 Corinthians 12. 9]

Our true wisdom is manifest in loving-kindness, and justice is the measure of real power; and righteousness our measure of riches. All these are found only in understanding and following our LORD MESSIAH YESHUA. "But GOD forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, by WHOM the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world." [Galatians 6. 14] "Thus says the LORD — Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom; let not the strong man glory in his strength; let not the rich man glory in his riches. But only in this should one glory: In his earnest devotion to ME. For I the LORD act with lovingkindness, justice, and righteous equity in the world; for in these I delight — declares the LORD." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 9. 23 - 24 Tanakh, Nevi'im] If we glory in anything, it should be in the CHRIST of the cross and personally knowing our wonderful LORD & KING, YESHUA ha'MASHIACH.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Blessed are YOU, our KING, HELPER, SAVIOR & SHIELD , WHO in YOUR glory gives life and light to the whole world; for YOUR great goodness and endless mercies, we give YOU thanks.
May the LIVING ETERNAL GOD, blessed be HE, hold you close, may HE hold you ever so close in the palm of HIS mighty hand and watch over you. Have a great week honoring the HOLY ONE WHOM we celebrate and adore!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.
