A prominent Islamic organization in Egypt has launched an information campaign called “Sharing the Homeland” that instructs Muslims “on the proper attitude” toward Christmas and Christians during the holiday celebration.

The Al-Azhar Institute, affiliated with the most prestigious institution in Sunni Islam, Al-Azhar University, is behind the effort to promote “moderate Islam,” reinforce the values of citizenship and coexistence and reject “deviant fatwas” issued every year at the time of the Christian holiday, reported the Middle East Media Research Institute

The institute says Muslims are permitted to wish Christians “joy on their religious festivals.”

“This Al-Azhar campaign is part of the institution’s ongoing effort to portray itself as combating religious extremism and erroneous interpretations of Islam, and as promoting the renewal of the religious discourse. Al-Azhar’s top clerics, headed by the Sheikh of Al-Azhar, Ahmad Al-Tayeb, and his deputy ‘Abbas Shuman, frequently point to their efforts in this area, which include informational campaigns and at its reevaluation of the curricula of its religious schools, which are often criticized as tainted with extremism and encouraging terrorism,” MEMRI explains.

However, MEMRI points out, the educational materials the institute produces and promotes show no such tolerance.

Terrorism is a reality in today’s world, and the WND Superstore has the background you need to know with titles such as “Muslim Mafia,” “Religion of Peace?” “Schmoozing with Terrorists” and “God’s War on Terror.”

Last week, the Egyptian daily Al-Watan, which often reports on the activities of Al-Azhar, published the results of a seven-month investigative report.

The newspaper said that while the institute’s committee for the development of schoolbooks had written 12 books intended “to strengthen national unity among pupils,” another committee, appointed by the Supreme Council of Al-Azhar opposed the inclusion of the material and removed every mention of Christians.

It also excised the books’ permission to “extend holiday greetings to Christians.”

The institute’s Global Center for Electronic Fatwas, which publishes fatwas and religious guidance online, was the group that directed the “Sharing the Homeland” campaign.

Sheik Tamr Matar, coordinator for the Global Center for Electronic Fatwas, explained the effort aimed to “clarify the religious, political, social and economic rights of the members of the monotheistic religions in Islamic countries, and how non-Muslims should be treated with regard to commerce, holiday greetings, visiting them, eating their foods, and respecting their holy places,” MEMRI reported.

In a fatwa – an authoritative opinion on a point of Islamic law – on its Facebook page, the fatwa center said wishing Christians happy holidays is permitted since “this is an act of grace and respect for them.”

“Allah commands us to [act this way] towards all people, whoever they may be, and particularly towards People of the Book, who share the homeland and who are our brothers in humankind,” the ruling said.

The ruling cited the Quran, which says: “Allah does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes – from being righteous toward them and acting justly toward them. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly.”

However, such tolerance failed to extend to the Al-Azhar books, the report said.

In fact, the institute fired an official thought to be responsible for including acknowledgement of Christians in the books.

That was Abu Zeid Mahmoud Abu Zeid, director-general of elementary education for Al-Azhar’s school department, the report said.

He later sent a memo pulling back the curtain on the disputes over the concept of another faith.

MEMRI said that in his memo “he complained that the committee appointed by the Supreme Council of Al-Azhar to oversee the writing of the schoolbooks had removed content encouraging national unity and acceptance of the other, and that this committee had refused to include photographs of Coptic Pope Tawadros II and names of any Christians. He also stated that the committee had omitted the word ‘Christians’ in some of the lessons, replacing it with ‘non-Muslims.'”

The idea that both Muslims and Christians should love Egypt was replaced, he explained, with “the subject of the honor of martyrdom.”

Al-Azhar  has become the subject of criticism across Egypt.

Huda Zakariya, a member of the National Council for the War Against Terror and Extremism, said: “We need a cultural and social discourse, and we call [on Al-Azhar] to explain the reasons for the omission of civics from the curriculum and to publish the committee’s justifications for omitting the photograph and the lessons that call for [good] civic [relations].”

Expands Muslim outreach to 39 African embassies, boasts of talks with pope, Macron, Putin

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan

There are increasing signs that Turkey’s dictator, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, aims to turn his nation into the dominant component of a new Islamic caliphate, controlling even more territory than the Ottoman Empire.

Islam expert and author Joel Richardson wrote shortly after Turkey’s controversial election in which Erdogan was given virtually unrestricted power that analysts in recent years tried “to shout down warnings that Erdogan has a desire to return to the Ottoman era.”

“Today those same critics are taking a fresh look at the man they once made excuses for and even championed,” he wrote.

On the day Erdogan won the referendum allowing him to rewrite the Turkish constitution, effectively ending the secular democratic Republic of Turkey as envisioned by Ataturk, he made “a very symbolic statement,” Richardson wrote.

“Not only did he specifically avoid visiting the tomb of Ataturk (who turned Turkey into a secular government), but instead, he visited the tomb of Sultan Selim I.”

Richardson explained that Selim the Grim ruled the Ottoman Empire from 1512 to 1520 and was most remembered for his expansionist conquest over Egypt, Syria, Iraq and Saudi Arabia.

“Erdogan was sending a very clear message. The era of Ataturk is over. There is a new Sultan Selim the Grim in power,” Richardson wrote.

Erdogan’s intentions are becoming clearer. He told an interviewer during a recent trip to Africa, for example, his nation now has 39 embassies on the continent, up from 13.

He’s also boasted of his one-on-one talks with Pope Francis, French President Emmanuel Macron, Russian President Vladimir Putin, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and other leaders.

One of the greatest mysteries in Scripture solved at last! Discover the terrifying truth behind the shadowy identity of one of the greatest horrors of the End Times. New York Times best-selling author Joel Richardson reveals the secret of “Mystery Babylon.” Available now in the WND Superstore.

The interview Erdogan granted was with Amadou Mahtar Ba, the co-founder and executive chairman of AllAfrica Global Media Inc.

The Turkish leader discussed his recent trip to Sudan, Chad and Tunisia, Muslim-majority nations in Africa.

The trip brought to 24 the number of African countries Erdogan has visited, the report said.

“We still hope we can prevail in every country of the African continent through our embassies, and we are going to achieve that because we are very determined,” Erdogan said in the interview.

“We are always trying to explore new ways of solidifying our relations with the African nations,” he continued. “We have many commonalities.”

The issue of President Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel came up immediately in the questioning, with the interviewer speculating about Erdogan’s response to Africa’s “more than 500 million” Muslims on the issue.

“For the Islamic world, Al-Aqsa Mosque is very important important … and of course, Al-Quds (the Arabic word for Jerusalem) is very important for Christians,” Erdogan said.

The Turkish leader said he’s discussed the conflict – the Palestinians insist Jerusalem will be the capital of a future Palestinian state – with many Muslims and others.

“I’ve called his holiness the pope and I’ve shared my thoughts and opinions with him. … And praise Allah, he is thinking alike. I’ve spoken to the German chancellor, and similarly President Macron of France; I’ve talked to him. And I’ve also talked to President Putin of Russia.”

He said Jerusalem “is not an outstanding problem for the Muslims of the world. This is an outstanding issue for all of us.”

Erdogan said the world should look back to 1967, when there was “the possibility of recognizing Eastern Jersualem as the capital of the state of Palestine.”

However, it was Israel’s neighbors who initiated the Six-Day War in 1967 in which the Jewish state regained Jerusalem.

He cited the recent vote in the U.N. by 128 countries to condemn the U.S. decision recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

Ergodan said that going forward, Trump must “review the situation that he is in” and he “needs” to “say yes to two-state solution in Palestine.”

“But if we’re not defending peace and if we want the Middle East to get pushed into a further conflict and turmoil, then the price will be upon President Trump and Israel,” he threatened.

He said Trump actually isn’t important to the process.

“The step to be taken forward after this moment is all about the 128 countries siding with Palestine and all of the countries which had reservations. We should get together and take up an initiative. Palestine should be recognized as an independent and sovereign state by all of these nations that voted in favor this afternoon at the U.N. And after that is accomplished, the U.S., willingly or non-willingly, will have to interpret this situation accurately.”

Erdogan expressed a commitment to “cooperate” with all of Africa.

“Whether it be culture or whether it be business-related or whether it would be political, we are ready and committed to cooperate with all of our friends across the African continent. And the number-one priority for us is solidarity with our African brothers and sisters in all of these areas I have listed previously.”

He complained that the U.S. has not turned over to him his chief political opponent and critic, Fethullah Gulen, and said if there are terrorists in his country that the U.S. wants, he also would say no to extradition.

Erdogan said he opposes slave markets in Muslim nations, because they are “prohibited internally by our religion.”

Richardson, who wrote “Islamic Antichrist: The Shocking Truth about the Real Nature of the Beast,” cited the Old Testament in warning that a “last-days invasion of Israel that would specifically be led by Turkey.”

“In my book ‘Mideast Beast,’ I carefully work through Ezekiel’s prophecy to show how the Bible doesn’t point to a last-days Russian-led invasion of Israel, but instead points to an invasion led by Turkey. For the false perceptions of the early 21st century to become the grim reality described in the Bible, however, much had to change. These changes, as we’ve now witnessed, took far less time than most could have ever imagined. As recently as 2012, President Obama named Turkey’s current President Erdogan as one of his top three closest friends among world leaders. A quick five years later, Erdogan has emerged as one of the most dangerous dictators of our day.”

Richardson pointed out that since Erdogan “has assumed complete control of Turkey, there are now more journalists in prison there than any other nation on the earth.’

“The AKP-led government has assumed complete control over virtually every media outlet in the nation. The president has even sought to arrest his critics in nations as far abroad as Germany and the United States. Erdogan openly stated that he has imprisoned foreign citizens to use as bargaining chips in his hope that foreign governments will extradite his critics to Turkey for punishment. Well over a hundred thousand of its own citizens have either been indefinitely imprisoned or fired from their jobs on suspicion of supporting opposition perspectives. Throughout the nation, men and woman continue to disappear randomly and suddenly, literally snatched off the streets simply for suspicion of holding critical views of the president. The elderly, those with incapacitating illnesses, pregnant women and even babies are now routinely incarcerated. The current national roundup of Erdogan’s enemies, or political opponents, is eerily reminiscent of Nazi Germany. Yet this is just the beginning.”

He cites Erdogan’s threats to Europe, his attacks on U.S. allies in northern Syria and Iraq, and how he “openly brags about it, taunting us to do anything about it.”

'It's beyond detestable. It's actually radical evil'
Published: 21 hours ago

“Spirit cooking.” Occult imagery outside meetings of the most powerful people in the world. Bizarre rituals held at globally important events.

What is going on? What perverted ideology animates those who control our global destiny?

Global insider Theodore Roosevelt Malloch, who has worked at the highest levels on Wall Street, at the United Nations, at elite universities like Yale and Oxford and served on the executive board of the World Economic Forum, has a disturbing answer. It’s “Luciferianism.” And Malloch described the ideology and its influence on world leaders in a recent interview on Infowars.

“The E.U. is part, of course, of the globalist empire, the New World Order, and I think many of its origins are in fact quite evil,” Malloch explained. “And I think that we should talk about that.”

Ted Malloch

Malloch, reportedly President Donald Trump’s first pick to be the U.S. ambassador to the E.U., condemned the “unconditional surrender Germany is demanding of Britain” during the Brexit negotiations. “It’s basically a German takeover of Europe, making Europe into its own puppet state, with its crony capitalism and its own fake currency, the Euro,” thundered Malloch.

But beyond the policy implications, Malloch sees a disturbing ideology, Luciferianism, which motivates many global elites.

“Luciferianism is a belief system that venerates the essential characteristics that are affixed to Lucifer,” he explained. “That tradition has been informed by Gnosticism, by Satanism, and it usually refers to Lucifer not as ‘the devil’ per se but as some kind of liberator, some kind of guardian, some kind of guiding spirit. In fact, as the true god as opposed to Jehovah.”

Learn the truth about Lucifer that you don’t hear in church but is actually found in Holy Scripture. Read the best-selling sequel “Shocked by the Bible 2: Connecting the Dots in Scripture to Reveal the Truth They Don’t Want You to Know” — autographed only at WND!

Malloch identified many people in the E.U. hierarchy and in the Democrat Party as aligned with this belief. He explained how Lucifer is seen as a symbol of independence and of true human progress.

“Turning away from God and turning to Lucifer in order to enlighten yourself,” he summarized the creed.

Malloch said the leaked emails of John Podesta, as revealed by Wikileaks, contain powerful evidence there is something sick and wrong in America’s political class.

The emails contain bizarre references to the occult and possible allusions to child abuse using coded language.

“They prove he is involved, very deeply involved, as a committed Luciferian,” Malloch intoned. “Among other things is the invitation by Marina Abramovic to what is called a ‘spirit cooking’ ritual, which I think is the most revealing.

“This is a ritual in which participants use the vilest human body fluids in order to summon spiritual energies for assistance and favor. To any sane person, this sounds completely ludicrous. But to a Luciferian, this is the practice of enlightenment. This is something that initiates them. It’s something that they understand.

“The whole idea is to be possessed by Lucifer himself. And these practices of a Luciferian religion, of an anti-Christianity, I would argue are the absolute inversion of Christianity.”

Malloch further contended cannibalism and pedophilia are “common practices amongst Luciferians.”

Malloch said the global elite are infuriated by the rising influence of Christianity in Russia, which presents an obstacle to global control.

“They obviously have to feel very annoyed by any people, any person, any community, any nation that turns their hearts back to God, and there’s increasing evidence that lots of people in Russia are doing that,” Malloch said. “Obviously, that was impossible during the 70 years of heinous Communism. So they are falling back on these traditions, their old religion, the Eastern Orthodoxy in Russia. But if you look at the pure statistics around the world, about 85 percent of people believe in God in different spiritual traditions, in different sacred texts … Luciferians detest this, and particularly detest the Christian tradition, because Lucifer is the fallen angel away from Christ.”

Malloch, an insider who has been termed a “global Sherpa” because of his ability to navigate the worldwide networks of elite power, says all of this evidence should lead Americans to question just what kind of an elite rules them.

“It’s beyond detestable,” said Malloch. “It’s actually radical evil. We have to expose this, where it exists, to the degree it exists, the fact that it is at the top of our government, that fact that it is at the top of international organizations.”

Malloch referenced the infamous and influential leftist “community organizer” Saul Alinsky and his dedication of his book “Rules for Radicals” to Lucifer.

As Alinsky wrote:

“Lest we forget at least an over the shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins – or which is which), the very first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom – Lucifer.”

Host Alex Jones argued figures such as Alinsky would say they are making these comparisons to Lucifer in a cheeky way, simply meant to provoke. However, in a deeper sense, Jones claimed such figures really do believe they are setting themselves up as gods on earth.

Malloch largely agreed with this analysis.

“They’re turning to this form of anti-Christ, to Lucifer, and that’s the foundation for their ‘enlightenment’ and for their institutions,” said Malloch. “I would argue even for the definition of this whole New World Order.”

Malloch expressed the hope the Deep State saboteurs trying to set up Donald Trump would be brought to justice in the new year. And he hailed the Republican Party’s triumph on taxes.

“I was in tears when I saw the Republican Congress on the steps there with the president and I mean, it’s just an incredible accomplishment,” Malloch said. “It’s taken three decades to bring this about. But the leader of this whole exercise is the person that took center stage. He shared the stage with many of its authors of course but without Donald Trump this wouldn’t have happened.”

Most importantly, Malloch urged Americans not to give in to despair and to continue to fight for American independence from globalist control and a corrupt ruling class animated by evil ideas.

“We can’t give up!” exclaimed Malloch. “We have to pray for this country. It’s like Poland and Hungary, where they’re actually battling the European Union over this very culture right now.”

'You need the prayer more than I do, I think. You may be the only ones'
Published: 9 hours ago
President Trump invited reporters at the White House to remain in his Cabinet meeting Wednesday while Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson prayed.
After all, he said, they needed it.
During his Cabinet meeting, he described some of the projects his administration has accomplished and more that are in the works.
Then he said: “With that I’m going to ask Ben Carson … you can stay if you want to, because you need the prayer more than I do. I think you may be the only ones.
“Maybe a good solid prayer, and they’ll be honest then. Is that possible?”
Carson then began: “Our kind Father in Heaven, we’re so thankful for the opportunities and the freedom that you’ve granted us in this country. We thank you for the president and for Cabinet members who are courageous, who are willing to face the winds of controversy in order to provide a better future for those who come after.”

EDITOR’S NOTE: Lt. Gen. Ion Mihai Pacepa is the highest-ranking Soviet bloc intelligence official ever to defect to the West, who currently lives under deep cover in the U.S. as a proud American citizen. In 1988, Gen. Pacepa published “Red Horizons,” which exposed the crimes and corruption of his former boss, Romanian President Nicolae Ceausescu, prompting the dictator to post multi-million-dollar bounties on Pacepa’s head and send assassination squads to the U.S. to kill him – unsuccessfully. “Red Horizons” was translated into 27 languages and republished in a Mao-style pocket book that circulated within the Soviet bloc. President Reagan called the book “my Bible for dealing with dictators.”

'Once you see it, you can't unsee it!'
Is that Hillary's face on Disney's President Trump?
Disney is well-known for turning American presidents into robots in its Hall of Presidents.
But the face on Donald Trump looks hauntingly familiar, as if Trump's opponent actually won the race.
"Once you see it, you can't unsee it!"
When news broke Tuesday that Walt Disney World has added a “President Trump” robot to its Hall of Presidents, Twitter users vowed they had seen that eerily familiar face before.
But not on The Donald.
No, Disney’s animatronic president clearly began as Hillary Clinton, they claimed.
Disney's animatronic of 'President Trump' actually looks like Hillary Clinton, say Twitter users (Photo: Twitter/Jolly Old Saint Mick)
“I see Hillary with a toupee,” tweeted Jared Summers. “I mean am I wrong? Wouldn’t surprise me if they had ordered Hillary anticipating a win and then slapped Trump hair on her to save money.”

Is your neighbor more patriotic than you?
America's patriotic spirit has been tested recently -- from attacks on the pledge of allegiance to NFL players taking a knee during the national anthem.
But now come brand-new revelations about those with a strong love of country, and why they won't hesitate to proclaim it
WASHINGTON – Six of 10 Americans consider themselves at least very patriotic, with 23 percent characterizing themselves as “extremely” and 36 percent “very” patriotic, according to a new survey by researcher George Barna’s American Culture & Faith Institute.
Another 28 percent say they are “somewhat” patriotic.
Those who describe themselves as “conservatives” are far more likely than other people to characterize themselves as extremely patriotic – in fact, about twice as likely to do so than either moderates or liberals.
Conservatives (78 percent) and Republicans (81 percent) were more likely than their political counterparts to describe themselves as either “extremely” or “very” patriotic, the poll shows. Far lower on the continuum, but similar to each other, were moderates (52 percent) and liberals (51 percent), with independents (57 percent) slightly more likely than Democrats (52 percent) to define themselves as at least “very patriotic.”
Visit the WND Superstore for the definitive works on patriotism, from Chuck Norris’ “Black Belt Patriotism” and Steve Deace’s “Rules for Patriots” to “A Patriot’s History of the Modern World.”
The results of the research were troubling to Barna, the executive director of the American Culture & Faith Institute and the founder of the Barna Group, a market research firm known for its study of the religious beliefs and behavior of Americans.
“One of the historical strengths of the nation was that citizens may have had differences of opinion on issues and policies, but they had a shared understanding of what it meant to be American – a common body of ideas and behaviors that facilitated unity,” said Barna.
