Trump crackdown fears leave large number of illegal immigrants opting out of welfare programs

Trump crackdown fears leave large number of illegal immigrants opting out of welfare programs
The welfare system in our country appears to be getting a bit of a break.

According to reports, undocumented immigrants are dropping their benefits in record numbers out of fear of being deported.

Zero Tolerance
The butterfly effect of the Trump administration’s zero tolerance policy is finally starting to take hold.

Every year, hundreds of millions of our tax dollars are spent on supporting undocumented immigrants.

We are providing them with healthcare, food stamps, housing assistance, etc. with monies that could be put to far better use.

While blue states are fighting the new policy tooth and nail, conservative governors are embracing it.

The result…

“Agencies in at least 18 states say they’ve seen drops of up to 20 percent in enrollment, and they attribute the change largely to fears about the immigration policy,” Politico reported.

Build the Wall
Regardless, we are still waiting for the government to move forward with the construction of a better border wall.

Democrats continue to fight any legislation supporting its progress.

This stands as the one major campaign promise Trump made that has yet to see any true forward movement.

Trump realizes its construction is a must if he is going to keep his base happy.

So much so, in fact, Trump has recently started to tout shutting down the government if Dems don’t start to give on this subject.

Democrats are fully aware of the fact if there is no progress on the wall, their candidate in the 2020 election will be able to hold this over Trump’s head as a broken promise.

In the process, though, the party has lost focus on the needs of those who are already citizens of this country.

Will Trump Ever Get the Wall Built?
Yes
No
As it stands, the Dems are pinning their fate on two major issues for the elections in 2018 and 2020: Impeachment of Trump and Rights of Undocumented Immigrants.
That is not exactly the best way to win over Americans.

Chuck Schumer at 2009 conference: ‘Illegal immigration is wrong…and we have to change it’
Pete Labrozzi / CCL
Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) might be an amnesty hawk today, but less than 10 years ago, he used immigration rhetoric similar to President Donald Trump’s.
In a 2009 speech at a Georgetown Law immigration conference, Schumer said that illegal immigration was “wrong” and illegal aliens shouldn’t be treated the same way as legal migrants.
Take a look:
“I think it is illegal and wrong”
Speaking at an immigration conference, Schumer blasted illegal immigration and called for drastic measures to curb it, including expanded e-Verify and more border personnel to achieve “operational control of our borders.”
“Illegal immigration is wrong, and a primary goal of comprehensive immigration reform must be to dramatically curtail future illegal immigration,” Schumer said in 2009. He went on to criticize soft, liberal language that hides the reality of illegal immigration, like the term, “undocumented workers.”
“When we use phrases like ‘undocumented workers,’ we convey a message to the American people that their government is not serious about combating illegal immigration, which the American people overwhelmingly oppose,” Schumer said. “If you don’t think it’s illegal, you’re not going to say it. I think it is illegal and wrong and we have to change it.”
He added: “People who enter the United States without our permission are illegal aliens, and illegal aliens should not be treated the same as people who entered the U.S. legally.”
“He went left and haywire”
Fox & Friends recently played a clip of these anti-illegal immigration comments from Schumer alongside President Trump’s own remarks on immigration, showing just how similar Schumer’s previous position on the matter is to Trump’s current policy. Trump himself even took notice of the report and shared a quote from Schumer’s 2009 speech on Twitter on Wednesday morning.

The New York congressman’s newfound respect for amnesty has led him to clash frequently with President Trump on illegal immigration. A stalemate between the two over Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, led to a government shut down earlier this year.
Additionally, in June, Schumer rejected a GOP-backed legislative solution for families being separated at the border, insisting that President Trump had the power to fix the problem and blaming him for prosecuting illegal immigrants with “zero tolerance.” Trump eventually signed an executive order to unite the separated families.
“Win back the hearts” of “mainstream voters”
So what changed for Schumer that made him completely flip in his opinion on immigration? The short answer: politics.
Speaking on Fox & Friends, Jessica Vaughan, director of policy studies for the Center for Immigration Studies, said that Schumer has adopted the radical left’s open borders agenda just to score political points with the anti-Trump crowd. But, Vaughan said, Democrats would be smart to drop their extreme, unpopular position on immigration and work toward a resolution that most Americans actually want.
Are strong borders necessary for national security?
Yes
No
Next
“Most mainstream Democrats would be wise not to embrace that [open borders agenda],” she quipped, “and instead try to win back the hearts and minds of mainstream voters by supporting immigration policies that work for our country and that discourage illegal immigration and bring us border security.”
We can’t help but agree.

Report finds U.S. is top tier country for combating human trafficking

Human trafficking, in essence, slavery, remains a problem in our world today, but the United States is surely doing its fair share to stop it.

According to reports, the United States is a Tier 1 country, meaning among the countries doing the most to combat this horrific problem.

Contrary to Liberal Opinions
In this day and age, it is hard to believe major powers are still allowing human slavery to take place.

The Trafficking in Persons report was unveiled by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, with Ivanka Trump also making an appearance.

Sadly, it make it quite apparent that human trafficking is still thriving in some parts of the world.

Pompeo started, “The world should know that we will not stop before we know human trafficking is a thing of the past.”

While the United States was ranked in Tier 1, several countries of note were put into Tier 3 status.

Tier 3 Countries
A country recently added to Tier 3 was Myanmar (Burma).

Then it really starts to get interesting.

China, North Korea, and Iran are all listed as Tier 3 countries.

With Trump’s relationship with both China and North Korea being a bit more positive than past administrations, now would be the time to address this issue with those leaders.

In doing so, Trump has a card to play with those leaders.

Countries listed as Tier 3 can be hit with various sanctions.

However, in the past, the president has waived the sanctions to keep communications open.

Should Trump Impose Sanctions on Tier 3 Countries?
Yes
No
Trump has a huge opportunity here to address these conditions in both China and North Korea.

So, it will be very interesting to see now only how he approaches it, but also how the media reports whatever action he takes.

Trump Demands Immediate Return of Undocumented Immigrants: ‘No Judges Or Court Cases’
By Jack Davis
June 24, 2018 at 11:12am
After a week in which President Donald Trump was assailed by liberals for his “zero- tolerance” immigration policy designed to seal the porous Southern Border, Trump doubled down on his “strong borders” philosophy Sunday by tweeting that current policies are not tough enough.

“We cannot allow all of these people to invade our Country. When somebody comes in, we must immediately, with no Judges or Court Cases, bring them back from where they came. Our system is a mockery to good immigration policy and Law and Order. Most children come without parents,” Trump tweeted.

The tweet was immediately pounced upon by Trump’s critics.

The Washington Post, for example, headlined its story on Trump’s tweets as, “Trump Advocates Depriving Undocumented Immigrants of Due-Process Rights.”

Between this and the tweet today calling to deport all arrivals, effectively forbidding asylum seekers, it’s becoming harder to ignore that the Trump admin’s immigration policies are about curbing legal immigration in ways that will manipulate the country’s racial demographics.

“I don’t want judges,” Trump said Tuesday. “I want border security. I don’t want to try people. I don’t want people coming in. Do you know, if a person comes in and puts one foot on our ground, it’s essentially, ‘Welcome to America, welcome to our country.’ You never get them out, because they take their name, they bring the name down, they file it, then they let the person go. They say, ‘Show back up to court in one year from now.’”

In a tweet on Sunday, Trump said a porous border makes a mockery of the struggles of legal immigrants to enter America.

“Our Immigration policy, laughed at all over the world, is very unfair to all of those people who have gone through the system legally and are waiting on line for years! Immigration must be based on merit – we need people who will help to Make America Great Again!” Trump tweeted.

During a speech in Nevada on Saturday, Trump spoke about the need for strong borders, and noted that the policy his critics are attacking was pursued without criticism by his predecessors.

“Everybody sees but this is the same sight that Obama had, that Bush had. Same sight,” Trump said, according to The Guardian. “It’s the same thing. In fact they said, ‘Look at this sight, look at President Trump, look at this picture.’ Excuse me, it was 2014 and it was President Obama. OK?”

“Our people are actually doing a very good job handling a very difficult situation, but this is a problem that should have been solved years ago,” he said. “So we’re working very hard. The fact is we need more Republicans because the Democrats are obstructionists. They won’t vote.”

Trump contrasted the positions of the two parties on immigration.

“Our issue is: strong borders, no crime. Their issue is: open borders, let MS-13 all over our country. That’s what’s going to happen if you listen to them,” the president said.

On Sunday, Trump once again urged that Democrats in Congress pass laws to create a strong border.

“Democrats, fix the laws. Don’t RESIST. We are doing a far better job than Bush and Obama, but we need strength and security at the Border! Cannot accept all of the people trying to break into our Country. Strong Borders, No Crime!” Trump tweeted.

The House this week will take up legislation on the immigration issue.

Rep. Michael McCaul said Sunday that Trump was “100-percent” behind the moderate bill he will propose, Politico reported.

The Texas Republican said he conferred with the White House on Saturday about the bill.

“I do think there are 218 Republicans that agree with the four pillars of border security,” McCaul said.

The bill would provide a path to citizenship for the children of illegal immigrants, end family separation, limit immigration and fund a border wall. He said he was optimistic about the bill’s prospects Sunday.

Illegal Immigrants

Feds arrest 145 illegal immigrants in 7-day operation

The topic of illegal immigration has been one of the most contentious in America lately, and with good reason. While Democrats look to expand their voter base, conservatives want illegal immigration curtailed and it’s side effects — crime, dependency and difficulty assimilating — stopped.

As part of the Trump administration’s promise to crack down on illegal immigration, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers routinely patrol for and arrest illegal aliens. Earlier this month, ICE agents arrested 145 illegals as part of a 7-day operation in southern and central Texas, part of a greater effort to identify, arrest, and deport those illegally in the United States.

The Law Enforcement Sting
The operation targeted the area from the Texas capital of Austin down to Rio Grande Valley, a border town at the southern tip of the state. From Austin to the border town of Laredo, the cities are all connected by Interstate 35, a major thoroughfare for drug running and even human trafficking. The route is also used by illegal immigrants looking to get deeper into U.S. territory and disappear.

Of the 145 arrested, 86 had criminal convictions, with four under currently pending criminal charges. ICE outlined the additional crimes committed by the people they apprehended.

San Antonio’s KTSA reports:

Some of the criminal convictions included offenses of indecency with a child, assault, deadly conduct, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, drug possession, drug trafficking, burglary, resisting arrest, firearms offense, alien smuggling, illegally entering the United States, and driving under the influence.

61 had already been deported once. Most of the criminals were from Mexico, but some were from Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and Peru. One of those apprehended was from the country of Jordan, reinforcing concerns about illegal immigration from regions plagued by high incidences of terrorism.

One 42-year-old man from Mexico who was arrested in the sting had a conviction for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and driving under the influence. Another was convicted of child molestation.

Most will simply be deported after they’ve been processed. A few, however, will face additional criminal charges in the United States related to other crimes they committed while in this country.

Cracking down for America
The efforts came on the heels of calls from conservatives to stop the ongoing flood of crime perpetrated against American citizens by illegals. One group, North Carolinians For Immigration Reform and Enforcement (NCFIRE) combs through the arrest records for child rape and sexual assault charges each month in its state.

NCFIRE noted that in December 2017, thirteen illegal aliens were arrested in North Carolina alone for 115 child rape/sexual assault crimes.

ICE’s attempts to find and deport illegals frequently nets others who have not committed any major additional crimes outside of illegal entry. These people, however, often harbor illegals with criminal records and are consequently deported as well.

More operations are ongoing in the area.
George Soros promotes socialist vision in recent video

George Soros promotes socialist vision in recent video
When it comes to influence, billionaire George Soros prefers to exert his quietly, throwing money at globalist causes behind the scenes instead of speaking out publicly. But Soros recently came out of his cave to pitch his vision of a socialist society — and it’s as frightening as it sounds.
In a YouTube video posted in late January, the aging leftist promoted his Open Society Foundations (OSF), a collective group of organizations which seek to implement Soros’ deeply socialist vision in countries around the world, including by shutting down free speech, opening all borders, and effectively enslaving people in a socialist regime.
And that’s not even the worst of it.
Pushing the Narrative
Soros’ recent video employs slick production and focus-tested phrases to tout his and his followers’ “utopian,” globalist vision, that includes not just open borders, but also free health care for all, among other radical liberal ideals.

“Understanding open society is one thing. Trying to create open societies, or strengthening open societies is something else,” Soros says in the footage, alluding to the difficulties the OSF has had in implementing his open-border policies over the years. “They have to create themselves, and that process is a never-ending process.”
The OSF has been condemned and even nearly banned in several European countries, including Soros’ home nation of Hungary.
“Power fights back”
The OSF video also includes some of the organizations’ regional directors and board members from across the globe, who say that those who disagree with them merely “want to hide behind closed borders,” in the words of István Rév, the OSF’s archives director.
“We’ve got enemies — open society and its enemies,” Soros admits, though OSF’s executive director representing southern Africa, Siphosami Malunga, claims that “OSF provides an opportunity to question power, to hold power to account.”
“But the complexity of the fight is that power fights back,” Malunga added, seemingly perplexed that nations don’t want to open their borders to any and all aliens.

Take a look at the video for yourself:
The Mission of the Open Society Foundations
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UlLAOY8Svso

Socialism Under Any Other Name…
Despite this recent promotional video, Soros’ OSF maintains a poor reputation throughout the world. Leaked documents from the foundation shows a disturbing trend that the organizations advocate: the control of free speech through active censorship.
In Europe, the OSF is reportedly actively working to assist Muslim migrants in storming a host of European countries, while working to prohibit so-called “hate speech,” classified as anything that questions the wisdom of bringing millions of militant Islamics into Western countries.
And Soros’ Open Society concept isn’t his own — it was designed by Karl Popper in 1938. Popper, while claiming to be anti-communist, showed himself to actually be quite the totalitarian.
Similarly, under Soros’ idea of the concept, openly communist and socialist groups are welcome, and even deeply embedded, in his utopian world.
Moving Forward
Soros and his funds remain active around the globe, participating in a variety of efforts meant to subvert the sovereignty of individual nations while pushing the goal of creating a globalist society under one government of international socialism. To do that, Soros must weaken the U.S. dollar across the global markets — a goal he is already well on his way to achieving.
While Soros himself is advanced in years, his son Alex is poised to take over both the Foundations and its globalist agenda — as well as the close relationship that the elder Soros and his socialist groups enjoy with the Democratic Party.
This means that we aren’t likely to be freed from the influence of the Soros family anytime soon.
But as for the progress toward globalism that the Soros family will make in the coming years? Well, that remains to be seen.
