What makes this small country, the nation of Israel, the world’s best nation?

I don’t know another nation on earth which since its founding, had to sacrifice 23,000 soldiers and victims of terror at the hands of neighbors determined to destroy Jewish life and the Jewish state as a whole.

I don’t know another nation on earth without recognized borders because of refusal by the Arabs to accept any peace agreement that recognizes Israel’s existence.

I don’t know another nation on earth whose population lives under a perpetual emotional strain from the ongoing and incessant need to live beyond the trauma and agony of terror.

I don’t know another nation on earth threatened to be wiped off the map - threats that are disregarded by the world as insignificant only because it is Israel.

I don’t know another nation on earth so threatened by boycotts that are legitimized as retaliation for the existence of the sole Jewish democratic country in the world.

I don’t know another nation on earth where the winners tend to lose wars because of lies and propaganda.

I don’t know another nation on earth which provides its own enemy with water, electricity, food, weapons, and medical treatment and yet is continuously accused of not doing enough.

I don’t know another nation on earth where guests on official visits to their land utter disrespectful and offensive words yet continue to be accepted with open arms in the hopes they will open their hearts and minds about the values of the Jewish State.

But I also don’t know another nation on earth which has recorded so many miracles.

Why the Nation of Israel is the World’s Best Nation
Imagine a helpless, naked Jew at the gas chamber door, facing a Nazi official who thinks he will get rid of the “Jewish cancer”, get rid of this unique phenomenon of 2,000 years.

Could that helpless, naked Jew imagine that in 50 years other Jews will be flying F-16s in the skies over Auschwitz as a testament to Israel living and breathing long after the Nazi reign of terror has ended?

Could that helpless Jew imagine that Israel’s population today would be nine times that of 1948, the year of the state’s creation?

Could that helpless Jew imagine that Israel is the nation whose academics produce more scientific papers per capita than anywhere else in the world?

Could that helpless Jew imagine that Israel is the nation with the highest ratio of university degrees to the population in the world?

Could that helpless Jew imagine that Israel is the country which, in proportion to its population, with the largest number of startup companies in the world?

Could that helpless Jew imagine that Israel is the country with the highest percentage in the world of home computers per capita?

Could that helpless Jew imagine that Israel is the nation with the largest immigrant-absorbing model on earth?

Could that helpless Jew imagine that we would once again be facing a rise of Jew hatred in nearly every corner of the world, justified by their resentment of the existence of a Jewish state?


Unfortunately, you will not find Israel’s goodness and superiority in the media, because it doesn’t fit in with the stereotype of the colonialist Zionist occupier.

In the world’s consciousness, the word “Israel” must be equated with fear.

Israel continually faces existential war against terrorists who take shelter behind their own children.

But the Jewish State, not perfect by any means, and subject to the same ills of human society as every other country in the world, and despite its media, its cynical politicians, its often dysfunctional methods of establishment, show the world it is the best humanity has to offer.

Terrorists and their Western appeasers want to destroy Israel because it is a light unto the nations. And the only one in the world in which we live.

Following the U.S. proclamation accepting Israeli sovereignty, Federica Mogherini says the E.U. position “has not changed.”

European Union foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini said Wednesday that the E.U. does not recognize Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights.
Her statement comes on the heels of Monday’s proclamation by U.S. President Donald Trump, recognizing Israeli sovereignty over the territory, captured by Israel in the 1967 war.
“The position of the European Union as regards the status of the Golan Heights has not changed,” said Mogherini’s statement.
“In line with the international law and U.N. Security Council resolutions 242 and 497, the European Union does not recognize Israeli sovereignty over the occupied Golan Heights,” she said.
Her statement followed Tuesday’s announcement by the U.N. ambassadors from the five E.U. members of the U.N. Security Council – France, Germany, Britain, Poland, and Belgium –  that they do not recognize Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan.
They said: “Annexation of territory by force is prohibited under international law,” and any unilateral border changes go against “the rules-based international order and the U.N. Charter.”
The statement concluded: “We raise our strong concerns about broader consequences of recognizing illegal annexation and also about the broader regional consequences.” Israel has countered that on the eve of the 1967 war, Arab armies were mobilizing their forces on Israel’s borders and that Israel’s capture of the territory was not an offensive action.
The E.U. delegation in Israel had reacted against the U.S. move already on Friday after Trump initially tweeted that time had come to recognize Israel’s sovereignty on the Heights, but prior to his signing of the proclamation at the White House.

Its aim is to liberate the Palestinian people, eradicating Israel and moving the Jewish People into the sea.     Since Hamas have gained power, in 2006 elections, tension between Israel and Gaza has intensified. There have been more rockets on Israel than ever before. Israel, many times has responded with military action to the amount of rockets that fall on its cities on the south. The United Nations has always called for a ceasefire but to the dismay of many, this only lasts for a short while before it rains rockets on the south of Israel again.   United Nations and Israel The United Nations over the past years had shown biased against Israel. Many of its members, specially the ones the Human Rights Council are the enemies of Israel, countries such as Turkey, Egypt, Afghanistan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia. Many of these countries violate human rights themselves. The United Nations has sanctioned Israel more times, than any other country in the World.   Has anyone on the United Nations committee ever stepped foot in Israel? Has anyone of them actually seen what happens on the front line on the Gaza Border? Has anyone ever thought that Israel has a right to defend itself? Colonel Richard Kemp has gone to see the Gaza border. He has seen the riots on the line daily. He has seen how the Israeli Army has treated the Palestinian people.     The Israeli Army is careful of the citizens of Gaza, it does everything in its power to make sure no citizens are hurt. It is not the other way round, Hamas does not care for its civilians, it puts the people on the front line.

'PURE MALICE' Germany's UN Embassador Compares Israel to Hamas
The German Bild newspaper accuses Ambassador Christoph Heusgen of “pure malice” in comparing Israel to the Hamas terror group.

The German Bild newspaper is accusing the country’s ambassador to the U.N. of “betraying Chancellor Angela Merkel’s security pledge to Israel by comparing the Jewish State to the terrorist organization Hamas,” the Jerusalem Post reports.

The editorial took Ambassador Christoph Heusgen to task for comparing Israel’s security measures against Palestinian terrorists with Hamas rocket attacks, says the Post.

Heusgen was quoted as saying that “civilians must live without fear of Palestinian rockets or Israeli bulldozers.”
Bild journalist Filipp Piatov responded that “after 130 missiles in a week, pure malice,” a reference to recent Gaza rocket attacks on Israel. “Murderous rockets are not bulldozers. The Israeli government is not a terrorist militia. This comparison has nothing to do with the promise of Chancellor Merkel,” said the editorial

Piatov was referring to the pronouncement by the German leader in 2008 before the Israeli parliament. Merkel had declared: “For me as German chancellor, Israel’s security is non-negotiable.”

“Heusgen compared Hamas rocket terrorism with the demolition of houses without a building permit,” said Bild, “a means that Israel uses against buildings illegally built by Palestinians” as well as Israelis, it noted.

Piatov concluded his editorial by saying that “when Islamist terrorists fire rockets at Israeli children,” the German government should be “crystal clear about standing on Israel’s side.”

Germany voted 16 times at the U.N. in 2018 to condemn Israel, notes the Post.
Israeli diplomats have expressed their intense loathing of Heusgen over the last eight years because of his alleged anti-Israel activities, says the Post. He had previously served as a foreign and security policy adviser to the German chancellor

Despite the view that the IDF response has been too soft, Netanyahu’s lead over Gantz grows to 11 percent.

A poll by Kan, Israel’s public broadcasting authority, and published Wednesday shows that most Israelis do not think Israel’s response to the most recent barrage of Hamas rockets has been harsh enough.
 
Of 545 people polled, 53 percent said that the IDF’s counterattacks were too weak following Monday’s rocket launch from Gaza that destroyed a home deep in  Israel’s central region and injured seven. Only 29 percent said the response was proportional, while a mere 3 percent considered it too harsh.
 
In addition, only 24 percent of the respondents gave Netanyahu’s job performance over the last several days a “good” grade. And equal numbers gave him a “poor” or “so-so” rating – 33 percent each.
 
The IDF has hit dozens of targets in the Gaza Strip since Monday, retaliating both for the hit on the Wolf home in Moshav Mishmeret and for the dozens of rockets Hamas has launched at the south since then.  Several have been intercepted by the Iron Dome system, though one hit a house in Sderot. Fortunately, it failed to explode.
 
Prime Minister Netanyahu has described the Israel Air Force’s actions as delivering a “very, very powerful” blow against the terrorist organization. This included hitting high-value targets such as the home of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, a weapons manufacturing site and a Hamas military compound.
The citizens, especially in the south, however, disagree with the prime minister’s assessment.
Itai Fechter of Kibbutz Kfar Aza harshly condemned Netanyahu. “He’s abandoned us, betrayed us, lies and tricks us,” he charged. “He doesn’t count us, doesn’t recognize us. This was proven yesterday and in general over the last year.”
 
“I expected yesterday that first of all, deterrence would be re-established,” he continued. “He’s the Defense Minister and he must decide. He’s humiliating himself. It’s a scandal. If schools are already evacuated, classes are closed, army divisions are brought south and an entire country is put under pressure, at least hit Hamas, knock down buildings until they beg for quiet.”
