Opposition questions Israel’s future with Trump’s peace plan

The much awaited “deal of the century” from the Middle East team of President Trump has brought about a whirlwind of speculation. But one of the most fascinating aspects of the speculation is the expectation of some that in the end, Israel will end up annexing parts of Judea and Samaria.
With over 100 years of proof that the two-state solution is a failure, there are voices still unwilling to accept that the best solution moving forward includes Israel finally applying sovereignty to areas in Judea & Samaria.

Application of Sovereignty is a Real Possibility
The potential sovereignty solution in areas of Judea & Samaria is so real, that the two-state solution proponents are scared. That is a huge success for those of us who have been promoting sovereignty as a solution for years. It was never seriously considered as a solution. Now it is. Watching this video gives me much pride in seeing that finally, Israeli diplomacy is going in the right direction. Let the two-state proponents be scared. We have been scared about the two-state solution for decades.
It is sad to see so many people who believe they are rational and intelligent people still hold on to a solution that was never accepted by the Arabs, time after time. It is time to move on.

The Israel Policy Forum, and other two-state solution proponents, are doing Israel more hard than good by actively working against the Trump administration and the Israeli government potential intent to apply Israeli sovereignty in Judea & Samaria.

If most of the Israeli public consider sovereignty a potential solution, as well as PM Netanyahu, as he hinted before the elections, and the Trump administration supports it, then who exactly are these two-state solution proponents representing? They are actively going against the will of the Israeli public and undermining Israeli democracy!

No, we are taking the idea of "West Bank" annexation very seriously!

If you aren’t taking the possibility of annexation of the West Bank seriously, then you’re doing it wrong. RT #AnnexationWatch

Amen to that! @IsraelPolicy4m move on. The 2-state solution was stillborn, never had a chance since the Arabs have always said NO. There is NO partner. U also ignore the fact that both the Palestinian Authority & Hamas persecute their own people so 2 state solution is a disaster.

The Annexation of the Golan and President Trump
Israel took over the Golan in the last 2 days of the defensive war of 1967. It had been occupied for 19 years by Syria. For nearly the entire period, Israeli farmers endured sharpshooters who wreaked havoc on the fields and farmers below. After Israel took over the Golan, there was nobody who believed that Israeli villages actually lived under these absurd circumstances. The danger was extreme, but somehow the Israeli farmers persisted. Israel annexed the area around 13 years later, but it was not internationally recognized – until President Trump made the bold move a few weeks ago.

The area of Judea and Samaria is different. The Golan has very few Arabs. Judea and Samaria has around 500,000 Arabs. Some argue that there are more. If Israel were to apply sovereignty in these areas, would the Arabs then have the right to vote? Some say that the advantages of sovereignty outweigh the negatives of mass absorption of Arabs.

In my opinion, the main detail that is overlooked is the ability of the State of Israel to encourage immigration of the Arabs who would like to move out of the State of Israel. Most of the Arabs who want to stay are not so dangerous. The real dangerous ones need to be neutralized. But there is a group of Arabs that some say numbers more than 100,000 that would like to move out of the area of the Land of Israel. That could have a profound impact on the demographic question.
