Social service and doing the Lord's work

Acts 6:3, 4 - Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of
honest report, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint
over this business. But we will give ourselves continually to prayer,
and to the ministry of the word.

Some years back as I was sharing with a Catholic priest at his dining
table I was introduced to a new young priest who had just come there.
This priest was in Mumbai for his studies. When I inquired of him what
he was doing he told me he was doing his papers (thesis) in social
service. I was intrigued as to what they taught in it and he went on
with the different theories and structural fundaments of social
service. He also told me this was 3 - 4 years course (do not recollect
exactly). When I asked him, how it would help him as a priest? He gave
an answer which was confusing not only to me but even to him. Then my
next statement hit him as boulder. I told him surprisingly the
greatest among the social service icons like Mother Teresa did not
need to do any course to serve the people.

Among the two myths the first myth which today's message addresses to
is that many Christian think they need to study and get educational
certification or learn some theories to serve the people in a better
way. Here we see the Word of God talks of 3 necessities required to
serve and these does not include a PhD or Masters.

The 3 factors one needs to serve God's people are honesty, wisdom and
relationship with the Holy Spirit. Anyone lacking any one of these
will find it difficult to truly serve the people. The greatest of all
social service icons Mother Teresa is always looked by people thinking
that it was the love in her that led her to be successful as a social
service icon. But people who really know her will tell she was an
honest person, very intelligent and had great love for the Lord and it
was this that drove her success, to become a social service icon. But
even she had problems in the latter half of her life because her
weakness towards control on her anger started affecting her
relationship with the Lord and thus she complained of darkness and
distress in her last days.

The second myth which today's message address is that people think
doing social service is doing the Lord's work. In today's message we
see when the matter concerning social work was bought before the
leaders of the Church; they did not brush it aside nor did they dive
into it taking full charge of the operations. We see they knew their
priorities right and they assigned people to do the work and dedicated
themselves to more important things concern the Kingdom of God.

Serving the people is very important but does not mean serving God but
is a part process of serving God. Any person not serving the people
does not completely serve God. But one needs to get his or her
priority right according to what the Lord has called him or her to do
in His Kingdom.

Serving the Holy things of God like preaching the Gospel, teaching His
Word, fellowshipping in the Body of Christ stands as priority number
one. In second place comes serving God's people and lastly coming
serving other people. Serving God's people does not mean only those
who work for His Kingdom but all those who are His children. Jesus
died for the sins of the children of God, those who believe in Him and
said love each other (to His disciples - God's children) as I have
loved you (a love unto death). Towards others who do not know God and
do not have the seed of faith we still need to be merciful and thus
love and serve them but do not need to give our lives up for them.

We are children of our Heavenly who in His mercy has manifested His
love above all to this world. We being His children need to do the
same, not our way but according to the Lord's way.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, the Kingdom of God suffers because the people called to work for
your Kingdom lack guiding. They do in worldly ways the things that are
no of this world then they face problems and hurdles in their work and
think these are the persecution You warned of. Lord, open the eyes of
your people and guide them to fruitfulness of their efforts...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Acts 6:1-7
1 And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied,
there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because
their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.
2 Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them,
and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and
serve tables.
3 Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest
report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over
this business.
4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the
ministry of the word.
5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen,
a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus,
and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of
Antioch:
6 Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they
laid their hands on them.
7 And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples
multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests
were obedient to the faith.

John 13:33-35
33 Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek
me: and as I said unto the Jews, Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now
I say to you.
34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I
have loved you, that ye also love one another.
35 By this shall all know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love
one to another.

1 John 4:7-8
7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one
that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

The day Jesus got angry with His disciples

Luke 9:40,41 - And I besought thy disciples to cast him out; and they
could not. And Jesus answering said, O faithless [unbelieving] and
perverse [turned away] generation, how long shall I be with you, and
suffer [bear with] you? Bring thy son hither.

There were very few times Jesus got angry and showed His displeasure
especially with His disciples. In today's scripture we read about the
time when Jesus really got upset with His disciples. Luke shows this
event happened the next day of Jesus demonstrated His transfiguration
to 3 of His disciples. They were so impressed with what they saw that
Simon Peter wanted to dedicate a temple for Jesus yet the very next
day all including him showed no faith.

This disappointing event also happened after the apprentice training
the twelve went through in Luke 9 where they went from village to
village healing and performing miracles and also after the
multiplication of bread to feed five thousand in which the disciples
were party to performing the miracle.

There are two things Jesus accuses His disciples of being one
unbelieving and other turned away. Even today we Christians are still
the same a unbelieving and turned away people and even today if Jesus
was physically present with us He would have been as disappointed as
He was that day and would have said the similar words 'How long should
I bear with you so called Christians who call yourselves My
followers?'

We may have people among us of strong faith but yet they too lack
consistency. When it comes to some areas they will demonstrate great
faith but in other areas its helplessness. The reason also is given by
Jesus in His accusation against His disciples as a unbelieving and
turned away people.

Let us take an example - in the Gospel of Matthew connected to this
incident Jesus says the one thing that will help overcome this
weakness is prayer and fasting.

With regards to prayer most people think shouting and scream is a good
prayer, the others think prayer is all about pleading and begging to
God. If one realizes the most powerful prayer of Jesus was not the one
in the Garden of Gethsemane, in fact it was Jesus' weakest prayer. The
most powerful prayer was just the words 'thank You Father' by which
Jesus did the greatest of miracles.

People do not know how to pray therefore praying 24x7 (day and night)
is unthinkable as a concept; likewise praying even when one is asleep
is unimaginable.

Another thing is fasting. Now that the Passover is at hand many people
fast before the day of Jesus' crucifixion. The reason of them fasting
is a mystery. Firstly they do not understand what fasting is, how to
fast and what the purpose of fasting is. The ritual they do as fasting
actually hardens their hearts and their spirits, taking them further
away from the Truth.

Fasting is not done for the reasons the Muslims do. In the Bible
fasting has only one purpose and that is to overcome disbelieve to
discipline the heart to be rooted in the promise or Truth. It is at
this incident Jesus speaks of faith like a mustard seed. If one asks
any Christian what it means and they go 'even a small faith can move
mountains', this is because they speak with the wisdom of this world
and do not understand what Jesus meant to say. All of us have faith
much greater than a mustard seed but we have not seen anyone of us
move any mountains yet. The reason is explained in the mustard seed.
The symbolism of the mustard seed is purity and not smallness. The
construction of the mustard seed shows that it is one unique seed that
does not have any air pocket like others do.

Let us not anger Jesus Christ any further by being a disbelieving
people and people who use the wisdom of this world, turned away from
the Truth. Let our fasting and prayer indeed be fruitful and powerful
not in volume but in understanding and meaning. Let not Jesus praying
in the Garden of Gethsemane be our ideal prayer but let our ideal
prayer be the prayer of Jesus which raised Lazarus to life or which
multiplied the bread to feed thousands.

[Prayer Starters]
Lord, your people suffer because of their unbelief and the infection
of the corrupt understandings of this world. Lord, your people call
themselves Christians but are far from demonstrating your power in
their daily lives. Lord, help us know how to pray better and help us
to overcome our faithlessness by growing in the understanding of your
Kingdom and help us reject the understandings of this world...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Luke 9:38-43
38 And, behold, a man of the company cried out, saying, Master, I
beseech thee, look upon my son: for he is mine only child.
39 And, lo, a spirit taketh him, and he suddenly crieth out; and it
teareth him that he foameth again, and bruising him hardly departeth
from him.
40 And I besought thy disciples to cast him out; and they could not.
41 And Jesus answering said, O faithless and perverse generation, how
long shall I be with you, and suffer you? Bring thy son hither.
42 And as he was yet a coming, the devil threw him down, and tare him.
And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and
delivered him again to his father.
43 And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God. But while they
wondered every one at all things which Jesus did, he said unto his
disciples,

Matthew 17:13-21
13 Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.
14 And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a
certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying,
15 Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for
ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.
16 And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.
17 Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation,
how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him
hither to me.
18 And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the
child was cured from that very hour.
19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we
cast him out?
20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I
say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall
say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall
remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

Men of this world are like fishes of the sea

Habakkuk 1:14 - and makest men as the fishes of the sea, as the
creeping things, no ruler over them?

There is a misconception among people that evil people have leaders.
Even if they seem to be organized evil people are not led by any
person. The only thing that leads evil people is the evil in their
hearts.

In today’s message the Lord brings this fact out for us know. In the
Strong lexicon there are 2 words translated as Adam <0120> and <0121>
that are translated as ‘man’ and other as ‘red’ respectively. One
<0120> was a curse on mankind Genesis 5: that all his children would
have his evil nature, the day the evil man was created by sin. The
second Adam <0121> was the name given to the first human who was made
full of life (immortal); note even though he was in the presence of
the Tree of Life he did not have the need to eat of it.

If we look at the fish in the sea although most of them seem to live
in groups yet they live without a leader or ruler. It is an irony that
a group of sharks the most deadly killers of the sea are called school
yet one finds nothing like a school about them. The only thing that
leads them is their instincts, their senses.

Western countries have been long battling against certain evil people
who promote jihads. They spend millions of dollars sending drones to
kill the leaders but they are mistaken these people actually have no
human leader. The leaders are just figure heads and by knocking them
down there is no victory but temporary delays. The only way to fight
them is to fight their true leader that is evil and the only thing
that has victory against evil is Truth. Love does not destroy evil but
true love delivers the Truth which destroys evil. Jesus loved us but
He did not come and just die for us, but He gave His Word to us and it
is His Word that gets rooted in us due to the great manifestation of
His love.

The western world have not got this correct therefore even though they
fight the jihadies they also give aid to their countries trying to
show humanity and love, but since they are hiding/keeping them from
the real Truth this battle will never end. In fact turn to the worse.
There are so many evidences which prove Islam as a false religion but
these are kept hidden from the people just to please some country
heads.

We may not be concern with the politics of the world but we are surely
in charge of the happenings in our lives. As born again we are not
Adam <0120> but are now rooted in the Branch Jesus Christ the new /
later Adam <0121>. We are not under the curse of Adam <0120> and is
proven only when we have a ruler over us. Our worldly ruler is Jesus
Christ and our ultimate spiritual ruler is His Word. For Jesus Himself
who is King surrendered unto the Father’s Word. We follow Him by His
ways and His testimony but our spirit follows His Word for He gave us
His Father’s Word.

Let us not be surrendered to the ways of this world nor to any person
who is not in Christ even if they claim to be one by the way of their
dress code or profession or election by people, but only when if we
see Christ in them and see the glory of Christ in them. Paul told
people to follow him not because he was Paul or he headed many
churches and a large congregation but said only because he followed
Christ and Christ was manifested in him, his words and his works.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, the people of this world are vanity and You call them grass.
Grass does not have branches but have their own stems. When the time
comes You will cuts all that is grass and put them into the fire to be
destroyed forever. Lord You did not created your children to be grass
but to be part of a fruitful tree. Jacob was blessed with 12 princes
and so also was Ishmael. But the fruits of Jacob were good but not the
fruits of Ishmael. Help us Lord to always be rooted to the Branch
Jesus Christ and be led by His Spirit and His Word...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Genesis 5:1-2
1 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God
created man, in the likeness of God made he him;
2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their
name Adam, in the day when they were created.

1 Corinthians 11:1 - Be ye imitators of me, even as I also am of Christ.

Acts 4:5-8;13-20
5 And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers, and elders,
and scribes,
6 And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander,
and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered
together at Jerusalem.
7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power,
or by what name, have ye done this?
8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers
of the people, and elders of Israel,
13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived
that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they
took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they
could say nothing against it.
15 But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council,
they conferred among themselves,
16 Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable
miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in
Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.
17 But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly
threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.
18 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor
teach in the name of Jesus.
19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be
right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God,
judge ye.
20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

Standing against the authorities of this world

Mark 3:3 - And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth.

Anyone who reads about this healing assumes Jesus healed this man with
a deformed hand on a Sabbath and thus ignited the anger of the Jewish
officials. But the real story is not so simple.

It was Dr. Ron Charles who expounded the details of what happened
here. The Greek word 'xeros' translated as 'withered' comes from the
root word 'xestes' which means to smoothen. In other places it is the
word 'xeraino' which is translated as 'withered' or 'withered away'.
In other words 'xeros' was a term used for a mason's hand.

When Dr. Ron went into the history of who that person was and his
details, he found records of this man was a mason who had worked on
the Jewish temple build by King Herod the first and was one of the
many who were punished by the Jewish high priest for working on a
Sabbath even though he was commissioned by them for the work (he
happened to work not on the actual temple but on the tower which was
given to the Romans). It was only when the background was given that I
would understand why the need of details of the recordings of this
healing in the Gospels.

This man was declared unclean by the Jewish Pharisees. His family too
was also not spared; his wife's eyes were gouged out. His child was
taken away from him and given to another person. He was not allowed to
look into the eyes of any person and speak to them. He was to put a
sheet over his head, bend and always look down. He had to beg for his
meals on the way that led to the temple. He had been doing this for
more than 30 to 40years before this day.

Jesus by healing this man on the Sabbath did not just ignite the anger
of the Jewish high priest but went to the extreme by choosing a man
who was made an example for all Jews for working on a Sabbath. What
Jesus did here, can be equated to a person standing before the St.
Peter's Basilica and challenging the Pope before the live world
television cameras and putting him to shame. Can one imagine the
reaction of all the Catholics.

These days we hear often people use the words 'submit to authority'.
They quote scriptures without reference or understanding and then make
people follow ones who will lead them to Hell fire instead of God.
They first state all authority is put in place by God so they need to
stay there, if that was the case then why did Moses drew Israel out of
Egypt, for they were put under the rule of the Egyptians by God.

There are 2 types of authorities one worldly - these are put in the
category of kings / rulers and then there is the religious authority
which come under that category of priests. The first depends if one is
under blessing or curse, that one gets a good or bad ruler over them.
The second authority is put only by God and not by man and these does
not mean any one who calls themselves priest or pastor or bishop or
cardinal or even a pope. If one reads in Acts 4 Peter and John defied
the high priest Annas and all the top Jewish temple officials because
they came between them and God's Kingdom. Jesus too like the Apostles
never gave them respect as priests but considered them more as rulers
set over the people.

Today too more than half of the Christians are spiritually led by
rulers and not priest set by God. If they are really priests set by
God they will be dressed in priestly outfits not the one made by
material but the spiritual one which Paul describes in his letters.

As warned in the book of Revelation (first letter to the church) this
church later did follow and still follows the Nicolaitan's hierarchy
structure and not the one which the Lord gives in the Bible. Many
people have come out of the early church (not the church set by the
Apostles but the one after that) but yet follow the things of the
early church including its hierarchy structure.

Let us open our spiritual eyes and not put worldly people as authority
over us for we have only one authority over us and that is the Lord
Jesus Christ and His Word. He alone is the true eternal Priestly King.
Only those who are in Him are to lead the spiritually little ones
according to the hierarchy set by God.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You showed as man You rejected the authority of worldly man.
Even though in your anger You put your people under the yoke of the
enemy, yet in your grace You drew them out later to be freed. Lord we
pray for your people who are under the yoke of the false church, who
have made worldly people are their spiritual leaders. Draw them out of
this Egypt by opening their minds like you parted the Red Sea...

This prayer we make in Jesus's Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Mark 3:1-6
1 And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there
which had a withered hand.
2 And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day;
that they might accuse him.
3 And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth.
4 And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath
days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their
peace.
5 And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being
grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man,
Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was
restored whole as the other.
6 And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the
Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.

Acts 4:5-8;13-20

Revelation 2:1-11
1 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith
he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the
midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou
canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say
they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
3 And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast
laboured, and hast not fainted.
4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left
thy first love.
5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do
the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will
remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans,
which I also hate.
7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the
churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of
life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
8 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things
saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;
9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich)
and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not,
but are the synagogue of Satan.
10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the
devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye
shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I
will give thee a crown of life.
11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the
churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

Matthew 7:29 for he taught them as one having authority, and not as
their scribes.

1 Timothy 3:1-13
1 Faithful is the saying, If a man seeketh the office of a bishop, he
desireth a good work.
2 The bishop therefore must be without reproach, the husband of one
wife, temperate, sober-minded, orderly, given to hospitality, apt to
teach;
3 no brawler, no striker; but gentle, not contentious, no lover of money;
4 one that ruleth well his own house, having his children in
subjection with all gravity;
5 (but if a man knoweth not how to rule his own house, how shall he
take care of the church of God?)
6 not a novice, lest being puffed up he fall into the condemnation of
the devil.
7 Moreover he must have good testimony from them that are without;
lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
8 Deacons in like manner must be grave, not double-tongued, not given
to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre;
9 holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.
10 And let these also first be proved; then let them serve as
deacons, if they be blameless.
11 Women in like manner must be grave, not slanderers, temperate,
faithful in all things.
12 Let deacons be husbands of one wife, ruling their children and
their own houses well.
13 For they that have served well as deacons gain to themselves a
good standing, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ
Jesus.

Blaspheme against the Holy Spirit is never forgiven

Mark 3:29 - But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Spirit hath
never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:

One should be very careful when pointing a finger at any Man or Woman
of God. It is not that they are perfect or we should not discern the
mistakes or misdeeds of Men and Women of God.

In today's message the people went a step ahead in their accusation
against Jesus. They would normally say things against Him but at this
point they pointed a finger against the Spirit that dwelled in Him.

Through the events of Moses being punished and not allowed to enter
the promised land was symbolic for us to understand the consequences
of blaspheming against the Holy Spirit. The second Rock was
symbolizing the Holy Spirit. Man was allowed to strike the first Rock
Jesus but to the second when man does he will not be forgiven. The
promised land of Israel is symbolic to the real Promise Land which is
Heaven. Like Moses we may be very, very great among other workers in
the Kingdom of God yet we will be punished for grieving or blaspheming
the Holy Spirit and will not be allowed to enter Heaven.

All Men and Women of God make mistakes not because they are not in the
Lord but because they also operate in the flesh many a times. Every
one of us, are at various ratios of flesh and Spirit leading. None
among us is totally led by the Spirit or are perfect like Jesus.
Surely one day man will be perfected like Jesus and become sons of
God, till then we need to discern every man's works of the flesh from
their anointing, according to scriptures. But at no stage are we to
point a finger at the spirit in them unless we are told so by the Holy
Spirit. We should remember we are risking our eternal life by opening
our mouths. So it is best to shut our mouths in this area than to risk
losing everything.

In Matthew 5:22 the word 'Raca' refers to a person who does not have a
spirit. It comes from the root word meaning empty. While the Greek
word 'moros' translated as 'you fool' actually means a person with a
deviation spirit, for it comes from a root word meaning 'mystery'.
Both these accusations against a child of God is taken very, very
seriously, especially the second leads them not only to Hell but to
Hell fire which is referred as Lake of fire / sulphur and is worse
than Hell. The lake of sulphur is only for those who blaspheme the
Holy Spirit or those who even after knowing / believing in Jesus
Christ reject His Father's Word.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, give us wisdom and control over our tongues that we realize the
consequences of our words even before we speak them out, especially
when it comes to your people and primarily regarding your Chosen Ones.
Lord, let us not harden our hearts that we cause our spirit to suffer
in eternal fire...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Mark 3:28-30
28 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of
men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:
29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never
forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:
30 Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.

Matthew 5:22 But I say to you, That whoever is angry with his brother
without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whoever shall
say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but
whoever shall say, You fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

Matthew 7:21-23
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the
kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in
heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not
prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in
thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from
me, ye that work iniquity.

Matthew 13:49-50
49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come
forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be
wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 24:48-51
48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord
delays his coming;
49 And shall begin to smite his fellow servants, and to eat and drink
with the drunken;
50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looks not for
him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the
hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Neither traditions nor things of the flesh change people

1 Corinthians 7:18 - Is any man called being circumcised? let him not
become uncircumcised. Is any called in uncircumcision? let him not be
circumcised.

Christianity is not a religion, it is a relationship with the one and
only God. We come to know God because we are called by Him to know Him
and we should be grateful to Him always for had He not called we would
never had known Him.

Many people think Christianity is a religion and put traditions into
and thus loose on the relationship with God, the very essence of
Christianity. In today's message Paul is warning the people about the
practices of the Jews. The Jews were considered people of God and to
become a Jew one needed to be circumcised. First thing get it cleared
Jesus said 'those who are not with Me are against Me'. So ask yourself
what is the position of a Jew? Does he believe in Jesus? Is he with
Jesus? Do you know a Jew believes Jesus is a mad prophet and Jesus is
currently in hell in a pot of boiling oil? If a Jew rejects Jesus, he
is not with Jesus then according to Jesus he is against Jesus. Any Jew
who believes in Jesus ceases to be a Jew and becomes a Christian. As
he or she grows in relationship with God he or she will also stop the
traditions of the flesh and follow God in Spirit.

In Paul's letter to the Romans Paul takes great trouble again and
again to point out the Israel (Jews) God refers to as His people are
not the people of traditions but of faith. It is by their belief in
God thus become His people and not by traditions become His people.
Jesus being the only way needs to be party to this belief.

There are many, many Christians who have become (so called) Christians
via traditions. Baptism is like marriage. The exchanging of ring is
not marriage but is a tradition which is more for the people and not
for the real purpose. According to God when a man and woman come
together physically in commitment they become one and are considered
married. That is the reason Paul points the bed to be given respect
and should not be defiled.

There are Christians who pour water on heads of people / infants and
claim them as Christians. And there are others who dip people in water
and consider them as Christians. These are traditions which are for
people's eyes and that is why Jesus personally did not do these
practices. Baptism or dipping in water was started by John the cousin
of Jesus. Moses had his own baptism, so did Abraham, both did not get
immersed in water yet will be in Heaven. Traditions are good for
people but they do not mean anything if the essence is lost. To be
immersed in the understanding of Jesus Christ by rejecting the
understanding of the world is true baptism. Any tradition of the flesh
like circumcision goes against the very essence of Jesus Christ
therefore contradicts baptism and Christianity, therefore Paul writes
against doing or undoing it. It is not by our works we are saved from
hell but only by our faith in Jesus Christ. The circumcision needs to
be done to the inner-man and this no man can do, that it is why it is
more spiritual and not ritual.

Now that Resurrection Sunday is at hand many Churches plan for
baptism. Today's message goes to these people who give more importance
to the exchanging of rings but not more to them become one in
understanding of who Jesus Christ is. Also do not consider teaching
people about the church, its traditions or its prayers will make
anyone a Christian, but only by their relationship with Jesus Christ
will one become a Christian.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, many call themselves Christians but are not because they become
one by following traditions and not by knowing You or having an
relationship with You. Lord we pray that people wake up and reject the
traditions of man and do that which is in Spirit. We pray for true
Christians so that they grow in Spirit and become true Israel...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Romans 2:28-29
28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that
circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that
of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is
not of men, but of God.

Hebrews 13:4 Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled: but
fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

Romans 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek:
for the same Lord over all is rich [the one who supplies] to all that
call on him.

John 4:1-2
1 When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus
made and baptized more disciples than John,
2 (Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,)

1 Corinthians 1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach
the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should
be made of none effect.

Do not eagerly seek what the world seeks

Luke 12:30 - For all these things do the nations of the world seek
after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.

In today's message the Lord is bringing to our attention the things
that the world seeks eagerly and the list goes as follow:-

Life - how long they will live and how good life they can have and enjoy.

Food - many live to eat not eat to live. Then there are others who
would even risk their health just for good taste. Obesity, diabetes,
cholesterol, blood pressure, heart problems and many such diseases
have roots with people's diets.

Health - many keep worrying about not falling sick or about being
strong or having a well-toned body. They will go to extremes to make
sure they are healthy.

Dressing up / beauty - many worry of how they look, their facial
features, their hair, their body shape or the clothes they wear.

Needs - many keep worrying about having sufficient for tomorrow. Would
they have a house big enough, or afford more comforts. Most people
today crave for the latest electronic gadgets like mobiles, tablets,
computers, tvs, car, motorbike, vacation abroad these things become
very important in their lives even more than their salvation or God.
There are also 'good' things like higher education, better job and so
on which take the most important priority in people's life and become
an obsession. If not most important place they at least take most time
or energy of their lives.

Time - One of most important worry which lives in the shadow and has
become the most precious commodity for the people of this world. A
parent will work hard and do great sacrifice for their children,
giving them everything they need, even their smallest desires but time
is something they cannot afford for their children. This is not only
people of the world but even today's Men/Women of God are so busy
helping God build His Kingdom (instead of being a means for God to
build His Kingdom) that they do not have time for their families and
then we see their children are lost to the world.

In today's message Lord Jesus is not saying these are bad or one
should do without them or not think about them, but He uses the words
'eagerly seeking'.

In the prayer Our Father the words 'give us this day our daily bread'
is a bad translation of the Greek script. The problem is not the
scholar translators did not know their stuff, but the problem is with
the English language. The English grammar does not have the ability to
translate the tense used with the word 'give'. In English we have
past, present or future but the Greek language has the tense Aorist.
This tense is past, present and future at the same time. The statement
'give us this day our daily bread' is not a request but actually a
declaration and could be better put as 'You give us this day our daily
bread'.

The word 'Father' also means provider and therefore Jesus said no one
is your provider (Father) other than God. That means not only other
people but also includes ourselves. It is God who uses people and even
ourselves to give us our provision. Therefore we should not be
worrying or craving for our provision or the things which the world
eagerly seeks but trust God and be a mean to receive it.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You desire your people to be unlike the people of this world.
You are Spirit and You desire your people to be led by spirit, to
worship You in Spirit and in Truth. No doubt we need things to live
but You have already given us all the things we need right till the
day we sleep in peace even be before we were born. Like Jesus You only
desire us to be led by your Spirit and accordingly receive our
provision. We have seen and experienced the natural and unnatural
means You give us our needs. You have promised in your Word that all
our needs You will provide and we people of faith belive in You...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Luke 12:22-34

Matthew 6:8-15
8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what
things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in
heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For
thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will
also forgive you:
15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your
Father forgive your trespasses.

Matthew 23:9 - And call no man your father on the earth: for one is
your Father, which is in heaven.

Recipients and Donors

Luke 22:32 - But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and
when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

Jesus knew Simon Peter would go through a rollercoaster ride with his
faith. To avoid him from becoming a casualty due to loss of faith
Jesus prayed for Simon Peter, but there is something interesting to
know the instructions which Jesus gave to Simon Peter to do after he
recovers.

Jesus did not tell Simon Peter after he recovers to do good works, or
grow more, or go and heal the sick. All these things are secondary;
the primary most important task that Jesus instructs Simon Peter to do
is strengthen thy brethren. What was done unto him, he had to do unto
others.

If one looks at the miracles recorded in the Bible which Jesus did,
all of them were unique in nature except for one and that is
multiplication of bread which was done twice. The process of
multiplication was the same and in the miracle Jesus was not the only
one involved. He demonstrated it to the disciples how it was done. The
disciples demonstrated it to the people and the people to each other.
The best part of the miracle was everyone was party to performing it.

The only unique part between the two miracles was the quantity of
loaves and fishes, the number of people and the numbers of baskets
filled of the leftovers. It is interesting to note them and Jesus also
brings this fact up to His disciples so that they take a note of it.

The five loaves fed five thousand people and the leftovers filled
twelve baskets.
The seven loaves fed four thousand people and the leftovers filled
seven baskets.

Were the four thousand more hungry that less baskets of leftovers were
collected?

If one analysis the way the miracle was performed one will realize all
received one bread and a fish yet we see the five loaves after feeding
five thousand caused twelve baskets to be leftover, but the seven
loaves after feeding four thousand resulted only in seven baskets of
leftovers.

If one understands Bible Numerics then one would understand the
awesome message that the Lord is giving us through these miracles.
Like I pointed out in my earlier messages five symbolizes humans in
the flesh (body), seven symbolizes the Holy Spirit, four this physical
/ natural world and twelve the Fruits of the Holy Spirit.

Through the feeding of the five thousand the Lord is telling us when
we are healed in the flesh or carnal selves we need to reach out to
others and strengthen our brethren also to be healed in the same and
this causes the growth of the fruits of the Holy Spirit. But when it
comes to the spirit we need to reach out to the whole world not only
our brethren and this causes the glory of the Holy Spirit to be
manifested.

Lack of faith is to do more with the flesh then to do with the spirit
and Simon Peter being healed of that had to do the same unto his
brethren and this caused all to grow in the Holy Spirit. In the
Kingdom of God we just cannot be recipients. Every recipient on
receiving has to act as a donor. That is why Jesus said to the
disciples 'ye should do as I have done unto you'.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, we do not see fruit of our efforts because either we just want
to be only recipients and not donors or we have no direction of how to
do what? In the Gospels the Holy Spirit made it a point to inspire the
writers to make note of the finer points so that we can learn and thus
prosper in your Kingdom. Lord, we pray You open the hidden things
which are kept from the wise of this world till date so that we can
glorify You and build your Kingdom...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Mark 8:19-21
19 When I brake the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets
full of fragments took ye up? They say unto him, Twelve.
20 And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of
fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven.
21 And he said unto them, How is it that ye do not understand?

John 13:15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I
have done to you.

Behold your King

Luke 23:33 - And when they were come to the place, which is called
Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the
right hand, and the other on the left.

When we take this scripture in different translations the name of the
hill on which Jesus was crucified is written as Calvary in some as The
Skull. The term The Skull comes from its Hebrew name Golgotha /
Gulgoleth which in Hebrew means "the place of a skull". I haven't been
to Israel to see the place, but the hill has a slight elevation
towards the end and the cliff face has holes in it, making it appear
has a skull. The recent pictures do not give that kind of appearance
so much, but it may have been prominent 2000years and beyond that.

Luke alone uses the Greek word 'kranion' translated in English as
Calvary and does not use the Hebrew name Golgotha. In the Bible we see
almost all names whenever translated into Greek the meaning behind the
name was maintained, not the phonics like we do.

There is no link or connection between the names Golgotha and Calvary.
The Greek word 'kranion' comes from the root word 'keras' which means
horn. In the Bible the horn has always been used to symbolize a ruler,
king or a kingdom. Luke did not use the local name Golgotha but used
the name Kranion to bring out the reality what this world had done.
Pilate put a text stating THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS but the
world by crucifying Him on the hillock declared Him the King of the
world.

During the times of Samuel when the Israelites have any king, for the
Lord was their King. But looking at the world they wanted a human as
king over them and not the Lord. Later since all the people put as
kings failed one after another or even the good ones like David could
not be there forever, the Lord came as man to be King of His people
forever.

The promise of an eternal King who takes God's people to victory was
given through many Prophets before Jesus. During the times of Jesus as
man many people asked Jesus if He was the one who would be their
saviour king. Jesus never answered them clearly but on the day He
entered Jerusalem on a donkey He answered them and thus seeing Him
from far the whole city rejoiced and came to welcome Him with palms
(used for decoration during those days) and even put their robes on
the floor for Him to walk over. Jesus did not shout 'I am your king'
but the fact He came sitting on a donkey to enter Jerusalem He
fulfilled the words spoken through Zechariah. It was this donkey that
proclaimed the man Jesus Christ as King. In today's scripture we see
the hill also proclaimed the crucified Jesus Christ as King.

We live in a time when we have the risen Jesus Christ with us. Christ
Who as broken the curse of Hell and overcame the world for us. Are we
worse than the donkey, Pilate or the hill that we do not proclaim the
risen Lord Jesus Christ as King?

Behind the donkey was a promise a fulfilment of scriptures, behind
Pilate was convection, behind the hill was an understanding a meaning,
what is behind our proclaiming Jesus King. Is it just a title, a
meaningless title? Do we really proclaim the risen Jesus Christ as
King? Do our actions, our faith, our way of life proclaim the risen
Jesus Christ as King?

What do we do when there are problems facing us? When the world comes
against us? When stress and depression burden us? When persecutions
comes knocking our door? Do we proclaim to them our risen Jesus
Christ as King? Let us ask ourselves this question.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord Jesus, no man was found worthy to lead your people, so You
humbled yourself as man and came to lead your people. Lord Jesus
Christ You are King in our lives. When there is darkness surrounding
us we will proclaim You as King. Even when our own come against us we
will proclaim You as King. When temptations come our way we will
proclaim You as King. We know You have overcome and we being in You
and with You will also overcome...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
John 12:12-16
12 On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they
heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
13 Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and
cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name
of the Lord.
14 And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,
15 Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an
ass's colt.
16 These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when
Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were
written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.

Zechariah 9:9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter
of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and
having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the
foal of an ass.

Matthew 21:1-9
1 And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage,
unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples,
2 Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and
straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose
them, and bring them unto me.
3 And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need
of them; and straightway he will send them.
4 All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by
the prophet, saying,
5 Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee,
meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.
6 And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them,
7 And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes,
and they set him thereon.
8 And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others
cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way.
9 And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried,
saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the
name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.

Mark 15:9-10
9 But Pilate answered them, saying, Will ye that I release unto you
the King of the Jews?
10 For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy.

Taking pleasure in infirmities, reproaches, persecutions. ..

2 Corinthians 12:9,10 - And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient
for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly
therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of
Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in
reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for
Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

Today when we ask people to talk about themselves the first things
they talk about is their giftings / talents and blessings among other
things, the things that make them proud as being different from the
general crowd. In today's message we find Paul doing the opposite.
After a great spiritual struggle with his spiritual thorn which nearly
bought Paul to death, we find Paul writing that he takes pride not in
his ability but in his weakness.

One of the prime reasons that people become Christians or are
Christians is that they want to get blessed with good things in life.
They want good life, good health, good relationships, good job, and
all the good things one can imagine. In reality it is an irony that
Christianity is the opposite of what people think.

One of the fundamental purpose or reasons of being a Christian is to
become an overcomer. Now if all things are good then what do
Christians overcome to become true Christians?

There are also the other extreme ones who are even bigger fools. These
people like problems, persecutions, sicknesses, suffering because they
feel one with Christ when they suffer. These people love to remain in
their problems, sickness etc. and keep remaining in them and keep
suffering. They also make those who suffer the most as saints. Jesus
did suffer not for Himself but for us so that we do not suffer. He
overcame so that we too overcome. He warned us of troubles ahead not
to run away from them but to overcome them like He did.

As Christians we need to become overcomers, that is when there are
problems or persecutions we need to confront them and beat them down
and have victory over them. We do not run away from problems or
infirmities, nor do we remain in them and suffer, letting the problem
have victory over us.

One good example is Bro. Nick. He is a Man of God who does not have
limbs. All that he has is one very small extension about the length of
a finger like a flipper, where his legs are missing. But this
disability has not caused him to live in self-pity and not to enjoy
life. This man surprises all that he does all his daily chores all by
himself. He not only does normal things but other things like he also
is a great swimmer.

Like him we too are called to have victory over our carnal nature. We
are not called to carnival that have a carn-al fest-ival but to
destroy the very roots from where these carnal thought come from. We
also are not called to run away from these carnal thoughts (as
spiritual children we should do that but not as spiritually mature).
We are called to face them like David faced Goliath.

Remember the Lord loves us very much and is always with us. He will
not allow us to perish nor send us into battle without giving us all
that we need to have victory. Understand the result of the battle is
already written. Our victory is already declared by the Lord, so then
what is the fear of going into the battle?

Let us be like the Joshua who did not hesitate nor let the natural
have an effect over his victory, when the Lord said to him that He had
delivered his enemies unto him. Joshua had so much faith that he even
told the sun and moon to stay stationary till his victory was obtained
and they abided.

In today's message the Lord is not telling us we need to pray for
infirmities or persecution but telling us not to run from them. We are
not to ask the Lord to take away the problem but we need to crush them
and trample over the problems when they come our way and give glory to
God. We need to show the world that our God is with us and that makes
us unique from everyone else. Above all we need to show Satan we do
not fear him or any of his worms for we have them crushed under our
feet.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You are God and Almighty. You called us your children. As
children we are to not fear from darkness but like light overcomes
darkness we too need to overcome. Lord, You allowed sin to come into
man so as to groom man to be an overcomer and have pride in becoming
your sons and not been automatically made one by You. You called us to
be part of the army of the Heavens ready to battle all evil. Lord,
give wisdom and courage to your people to face the areas which You
have given unto us to overcome...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Looking at the state of our Church

Haggai 2:3 - Who is left among you that saw this house in her first
glory? and how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison
of it as nothing?

In today's message the Lord is talking to all those who are really
concern about His Kingdom, people who are depressed looking at the
functioning of the Church today.

When we read about the early Church in the book of Acts and read about
their faith and fellowship of those people with God and with each
other, it looks far from what we see happening in our churches.

People have made churches into clubs and these churches have only two
purposes one to entertain people and other to prosper worldly. Each
Church leader is concern about his church membership growing and the
money keeps pouring in the kitty. The functions, teaching sessions and
topics taken at these sessions conducted not as per the spiritual
needs of the congregation but according to the popularity of the
subject to attract participation of the members. The Gospel is no
longer the complete Gospel of the Lord but half eaten Gospel or a
twisted gospel that is of the world.

Even if we are seeing more people coming to Christ, more Christians
are participating at Church and more evangelization happening
everywhere, yet when we see the spiritual health of these people as
very sad and pitiful. There may be increase in quantity but not in
quality. The basics of Christianity and its purpose are not understood
and missing among its followers.

All those especially who came out from the false church and have come
out of the deceit which had engulfed them and are crying out to the
Lord when they see the state of the Church of God also not good; to
them the Lord is saying be patient. He is telling them very soon He is
going to do something amazing which will make the world wonder and
stand in awe of the Truth.

The Lord is saying once more He is going to shake the world not like
He did during the times of Noah which caused the great flood but this
time He is going to shake all levels of creation that is the natural,
the spiritual and the cosmic (understandings of the world).

The Lord has told us before He is the strong man of His House. The
world, its sinful ways and death tried to bind Him before but He broke
them and showed us that He is beyond their powers. He was bound
temporarily for a period of 2 and half days, so also His House was
allowed to be led astray for a period. Now the time has come for the
world to see His glory fill the His House and know He alone is Lord.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, the people are suffering because they do not know You. They
believe in You and are living in your grace but are far from living in
your authority as your sons. They lack all because they do not know
You have already provided, the corrupt understandings of this world
blinds their eyes. Lord, we thank You for your words of encouragement
that You give us today. We know Lord when You have spoken it, it has
to come to past and we rejoice even at these depressing times because
You will surely bring your Word to fulfilment.. .

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Haggai 2:1-7
1 In the seventh month, in the one and twentieth day of the month,
came the word of the LORD by the prophet Haggai, saying,
2 Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah,
and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and to the residue
of the people, saying,
3 Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory? and
how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as
nothing?
4 Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the LORD; and be strong, O
Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people
of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I am with you, saith the
LORD of hosts:
5 According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out
of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not.
6 For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while,
and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry
land;
7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall
come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.

Foolish people of traditions

Luke 14:5 - And answered them, saying, Which of you shall have an ass
or an ox fallen into a pit, and will not straightway pull him out on
the sabbath day?

The greatest enemy to a child of God is traditions. When the word
'tradition' is used then immediately people switch off their thinking
or reasoning and start following what others do.

It is really sad when we see Believers also continue to do what the
people they come out from, just in the name of traditions. The one
thing that angered Jesus the most was the traditions of man and the
people who promoted them were always at the receiving end of His
rebuke. It was these very people who conspired against Him and
crucified Him.

These traditions are not that they are made out of thin air but do
have some base but like in today's message we see what God said and
what the people did was two different ends of the pole. Jesus was
called the Lord of the Sabbath for He truly kept the Sabbath with it
right understanding. On the other hand one of the greatest concerns of
the Jews was the Sabbath yet they did the opposite of what the Lord
asked of them. They have a book totally dedicated to the laws of
Sabbath which is much fatter than the whole Torah.

To understand the hole of traditions, for example soon people are
going to celebrate Resurrection of Jesus Christ but will land up
celebrating something else just because they are compiled by
traditions. The yoke of tradition is so great on them that they will
spend great time arguing and justifying their doings but will not
spend even a fraction of it confirming with scriptures and history if
they are doing right.

Satan the father of lies has been till date having an upper hand on
God's people mainly in the name of tradition. Jesus could have come
out of the sepulchre without moving the tomb stone but yet He had it
moved since it symbolized traditions. Unless we do not move the
tombstone of traditions from our lives we will not experience the
resurrected Lord. We may experience the love of Jesus Christ. We may
experience even His grace in our lives but we will never experience
the power of victory which He demonstrated by His resurrection. Like
the Angel of God after moving it sat on the tombstone. Satan goes
under our feet and traditions of man go where it was under when the
Angel sat on it.

People are deceived by people misquoting scriptures and are made to
follow the traditions of man which in reality go against the
principles of the Lord which scriptures state. Only donkeys and asses
do what they are told to do without thinking, but sons do with
knowledge and understanding and above all with authority. Donkeys and
asses will not go to Heaven Sons will. Be a spiritual son of God not a
donkey or an ass.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You gave your Word through Moses but since the people lacked the
Spirit of Truth they made your instructions into traditions. They did
the very things which You spoke against, therefore never entered into
your inheritance. Lord, we pray that the chains of traditions are
broken from the necks of your people, that the tombstone of traditions
in moved and the people experience your resurrection power...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Matthew 27:60 And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out
in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulcher,
and departed.

Matthew 28:2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel
of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone
from the door, and sat upon it.

Matthew 15:1-3
1 Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,
2 Why do your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for
they wash not their hands when they eat bread.
3 But he answered and said to them, Why do you also transgress the
commandment of God by your tradition?

Mark 7:9-13
9 And he said to them, Full well you reject the commandment of God,
that you may keep your own tradition.
10 For Moses said, Honor your father and your mother; and, Whoever
curses father or mother, let him die the death:
11 But you say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is
Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatever you might be profited by
me; he shall be free.
12 And you suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother;
13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition,
which you have delivered: and many such like things do you.

HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Better to pray for yourself then to curse another. We must hang on, as
long as possible, to our sense of astonishment. Let us not be misled by
labels, as if calling someone a terrorist gives sense to madness.

TRIBES of ISRAEL (Part 4 of 5)
"Jacob called his sons and said— Come together that I may tell you
what is to befall you in days to come: Assemble and hearken, O sons of
Jacob; hearken to Israel your father." [Genesis (Bereshith) 49. 1 –
2 Tanakh, Torah]

The HOLY SPIRIT spoke through Jacob saying, "Zebulun shall dwell by the
seashore; he shall be a haven for ships, and his flank shall rest on
Sidon." [Genesis (Bereshith) 49. 13 Tanakh, Torah] Zebulun settled in
the favorable geographical position described here, and his tribe became
mariners. The actual territory of Zebulun is uncertain, but their
"Tribal Standard (banner)" bears the picture of a ship.

"Issachar is a strong-boned ass, crouching down among the sheepfolds.
When he saw how good was security, and how pleasant was the country, he
bent his shoulder to bear the burden, and became a toiling serf (a
servant under task-work of forced labor)." [Genesis (Bereshith) 49. 14
– 15 Tanakh, Torah]

As a strong-boned ass, the people of Issachar would have great physical
power. However, the minute they found a resting place, they would stay
right there. They would not become nomads like the rest of the people
of Israel living in tents. They did not like the life of a wandering
Jew. If Issachar found a place where he wanted to rest, he would much
prefer to pay tribute and to submit to any enemy that came upon him then
to leave his plowshare and take up a sword. He would never go to
battle. All this was fulfilled. Along with Simeon, Issachar did not
receive a blessing from Moses along with the other tribes in
Deuteronomy/ Devarim 33.

"Dan shall govern his people, as one of the tribes of Israel. Dan shall
be a serpent by the road, a viper by the path, that bites the
horse's heels so that his rider is thrown backward. I wait for Your
deliverance, O LORD!" [Genesis (Bereshith) 49. 16 – 18 Tanakh,
Torah]

Samson came from the tribe of Dan to be one of the judges of Israel.
Dan would also be a serpent in the way, a horned snake in the way that
bites the horse's heels so that his rider falls backward. Judas
Iscariot would be coming from the tribe of Dan. The HOLY SPIRIT knew
who would betray MESSIAH YESHUA with a kiss. This is why the tribe of
Dan is not mentioned in the Book of Revelation 7. {The 144,000
Witnesses are witnesses — not judges. Ephraim`s name is also
missing because his name means first-fruit and this company is a fixed
number.} And then Jacob said, "LORD, I am waiting for YOUR SALVATION.
I can hardly wait to come home and be with YOU, LORD. I am waiting for
YOUR SON, YESHUA, I'm waiting for YOUR SALVATION, O LORD."

"Gad shall be raided by raiders, but he shall raid at their heels."
[Genesis (Bereshith) 49. 19 Tanakh, Torah] There is a play on words
here, the translation should be. . ."a raiding band raids him, but he
will now band himself against their heel." He would always know where
to attack, in their rear position. OMNIPOTENT GOD succeeded in
expelling the Ammonites, Moabites and the Armenian who were constantly
raiding his border. Jephthah, one of the judges of Israel, came from
the tribe of Gad. The LORD used him as an instrument to bring forth HIS
victory. Victory is always the LORD'S.

"Asher's bread shall be rich, and he shall yield royal dainties."
[Genesis (Bereshith) 49. 20 Tanakh, Torah] Asher's territory stretched
from the Sea of Galilee to Mount Karem'El. The name, Asher, means
"happy" — and this meaning is reflected in the blessing that is
bestowed upon him. The land of Asher was prosperous and happy; where
they went in business making delicacies fit for the tables of kings.
{In Deuteronomy/ Devarim 33, Moses blesses the tribes and of Asher he
spoke of him "dipping his heel in oil." The olive tree grow prevalent in
the area allotted to him and the olive oil is indeed used for making of
dainties.} The HOLY SPIRIT is never wrong, always true.

"Naphtali is a hind let loose; which yields lovely fawns (or "gives
lovely words")." [Genesis (Bereshith) 49. 21 Tanakh, Torah] This gives
us an image of swiftness and grace in movement. "Yields lovely fawns"
refers to the tribe's reputation for persistence and eloquence. The
great victory of Barak [Judges/Shofetym 4. 15 - 16], who was of the
tribe of Naphtali, was followed by the glorious song of Devorah, also of
the tribe of Naphtali who "gives goodly words." [Judges/Shofetym 5. 12]
They would not only follow through where the LORD led them, they would
also bring forth words of praise and thanksgiving unto the ALMIGHTY LORD
OF HOSTS, the HOPE OF ISRAEL.

. . . to be continued!

The world mocks and abuses us

Mark 14:65 - And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face
[blindfold Him], and to buffet him [punch His face], and to say unto
him, Prophesy [asking Him to let know who hit Him]: and the servants
[Jewish temple officials] did strike him with the palms of their hands
[slap Him].

Yesterday's message showed us how the Lord God was in charge during
the arrest of Jesus in the garden. In today's message the Lord is
bringing our attention to another event connected to the sequence
leading to Jesus' crucifixion.

At this event Jesus was punched by the people. They covered His eyes
and after hitting Him they mocked Him asking Him to identify who hit
Him. The question comes why did Jesus bear this humiliation, was this
necessary for Jesus to bear this for our sins? Wasn't the humiliation
of being hung naked on the crucifix sufficient?

We were told yesterday everything Jesus done was to fulfil the
scriptures, and all sacrifices required for the salvation of mankind.

It was necessary for man to lay hands on the head of the sacrifice and
we see both the Romans and the Jews did fulfil this. The Romans placed
a crown of thorns on His head and thus put their hands on His head. In
today's scripture we see Jesus bore all that abuse not to humble
Himself before those people but to humble Himself before the will of
God and we see it was fulfilled when the temple officials struck Him.

Jesus did not take all the battering just to be a punching bag for
those who abused Him. He did it for purpose of humbling Himself to the
will of God for the good of us. Jesus said before Pilate if the Lord
God did not allow they would not have been able to even touch Him.
Jesus did say He would react violently nor did He say He would call
for the Angels to come to His aid but said He would have asked the
Father and the Father would have sent Angels for His aid.

Jesus as man was a man full of authority. He was God (the Son) Who is
the head of all the Hosts of Heaven. He had authority to summon all
the Angels in Heaven but as man He had humbled Himself and thus even
humbled His authority over the Angels and did only through the Father.

In today's message we need to see our situation. We too as Christians
are experiencing abuse from the people of the world. We are called to
be humble to God's will and to His people and not to the people of
this world. If our humbling is not helping the Kingdom of God and its
people then what purpose does it serve?

It will surprise you that we suffer most of the time not because God
desires us to suffer (done so as to build us or build others in the
Lord) but because we lack understanding thus authority in the Lord.

If we see in the last days just before Jesus' coming the Bible talks
of two witnesses who are full of understanding of scriptures and
knowledge of the Kingdom of God. Therefore they exert the authority to
call for fire from Heaven at their will. These two individuals cause
the whole world to fear them.

As to my understanding of scriptures there a period of time before
this event occurs and that period is more than 150 to 200 years from
today. We need to look at the weapons that the armies of this world
possess today and knowing the speed of development of technology can
we imagine what it would be in a 150 to 200 years? Even with all that
technology and power yet these two individuals cause the whole world
to fear them and become helpless before them just because they know
their God and know who they are in the Lord.

The Lord is telling us today we experience abuse and mocking from
people of this world not because God wills it but because we lack
understanding of His Kingdom and authority. In my course of learning
from the Lord, the Lord showed me how even a single Christian can
shake the course of events in this world and what power we hold.

It is time we live a life as true Christians, building our
understanding of God's Kingdom through the Holy Spirit and thus cause
the world to know God and respect His people.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You made your people to be special. You called them your
Princes; and princes are not made to be abused by people of this world
but honoured and respected. We lack knowledge and understanding of who
we are in You therefore are throttled under feet of the people of this
world. Holy Spirit it is time there walk amongst us at least a few who
are people of authority bringing glory to the Kingdom of God...

We make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Matthew 27:27-30
27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall,
and gathered to him the whole band of soldiers.
28 And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.
29 And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it on his
head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before
him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!
30 And they spit on him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.

John 18:36-37
36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom
were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be
delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
37 Pilate therefore said to him, Are you a king then? Jesus answered,
You say that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause
came I into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Every
one that is of the truth hears my voice.

John 19:10-11
10 Then said Pilate to him, Speak you not to me? know you not that I
have power to crucify you, and have power to release you?
11 Jesus answered, You could have no power at all against me, except
it were given you from above: therefore he that delivered me to you
has the greater sin.

Revelations 11:3-7
3 And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy
a thousand two hundred and three score days, clothed in sackcloth.
4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing
before the God of the earth.
5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceeds out of their mouth,
and devours their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in
this manner be killed.
6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of
their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and
to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that
ascends out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and
shall overcome them, and kill them.

He works in natural and unnatural ways

Mark 15: 50, 51, 52 - And they all forsook him, and fled. And there
followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his
naked body; and the young men laid hold on him: And he left the linen
cloth, and fled from them naked.

In today's scripture we read a very odd event that happens to Jesus at
Gethsemane. After all desert Him, including His own disciples, there
comes a young man wearing only a linen garment on him. Theologians
believe this young man to be Mark (John) since no other witness from
Jesus' disciples were there to share this event, and it is recorded
only here in the records of Mark.

This young man may be Mark or someone else. But what we read is he
does something crazy; he follows the soldiers taking Jesus. He then
takes hold of Jesus and leaving his linen cloth behind he flees away
naked.

We know nothing in the Bible is just written for the sake of writing.
When the Lord was teaching me of the books of Moses and how they were
all about Jesus Christ, then I asked the Lord of this scripture I was
surprised to see the importance of this incident in fulfilment of the
sacrifices which Jesus performed for our salvation.

In today's message the Lord is telling us He was in total control of
all things even during the suffering of His Son Jesus. When things
were not made available in normal ways God make sure they were made
available in ways that were not natural.

We may look at natural ways to fulfil our requirements but the Lord is
telling us not to worry if He has promised and given His Word He will
surely fulfil them even if He needs to resort to unnatural ways.

Just a day before it was in the news in Russia that some unknown
person was going around leaving a box full of cash randomly at
people's doorstep. Now who in the world would expect something like
this to happen?

If we are in the Lord we will surely see things like this or even
crazier happen to us if we have a need and do not see it getting
fulfilled naturally.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You are our provider and all things come from You alone. When
You made this world You said all things are good. It is man's eating
of the tree of doubt that caused man to sin and make bad all that is
good. Lord, help us trust in You as our provider. You always prefer
doing things the natural way and if not available You do not hesitate
to do it the unnatural way. During the drought You did not drop bread
and meat for Elisha from the sky but made ravens to bring it to him.
Lord we know our needs will be fulfilled because your Word says You
will provide and we thank You for the natural and the unnatural means
of provision...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
1 Kings 17:1-6
1 And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said
to Ahab, As the LORD God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there
shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.
2 And the word of the LORD came to him, saying,
3 Get you hence, and turn you eastward, and hide yourself by the
brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.
4 And it shall be, that you shall drink of the brook; and I have
commanded the ravens to feed you there.
5 So he went and did according to the word of the LORD: for he went
and dwelled by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.
6 And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and
bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook.

These will be punished
Zephaniah 1:6 - And them that are turned back from the LORD; and those
that have not sought the LORD, nor enquired for him.

In today's message among other people who will be punished on the Day
of the Lord are these 3 categories:

1) Them that are turned back from the Lord - speaks of those who know
God and having accepted Him as Lord and Master yet have forsaken Him
and turned away from Him. They may have gone to worship other gods or
may have even become atheist.

2) Those that have not sought after the Lord - it speaks of those who
have heard of the Lord or have heard His Gospel, known Him but have
not given importance to have relationship with Him nor desired to seek
refuge in the Lord.

3) Those that have not enquired for Him - this category speaks of the
remaining lot of unbelievers who have not sought the Lord or have not
desired to know Him. We may think how can they be held to account, who
have not heard the Gospel? In the book of Job, Job shows how he
understood of the Kingdom of God from things of nature. A child does
not need to be thought of how to breastfeed nor does an animal's just
born need to be told where to find its mothers mammary glands. When
God created man He put it into man to have relationship with his
Creator for life comes from the Creator.

We need to understand the severity of punishment would vary from the
first being highest and the third being the lowest. Even the least
does receive death but the first receives great sorrow along with
death. The first includes those who have known God, have experienced
His glory and yet turn away from Him are punished the most, then comes
those who have heard His message or Gospel or know Him and yet did not
care to build a relationship with Him. Lastly and least come those to
whom no messenger has come and shared about the Lord and they
themselves have not cared to find Him.

We need to take care if we are one among the above three. Surely we
cannot be among the last category and if are on the list we can only
be among the first or second, mostly in the first.

Let us have fear of the Lord and not falling into the hands of an
angry Living God let us seek Him, build a relationship with Him and
not be among these.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You are creator and giver of life. All things are created by
You. Like you said the grass will be cut and thrown in the fire but
the fruit bearing trees will remain and prosper in your Garden for
ever. Lord it is only with You and through You that we can bear fruit.
Help us Lord to bear Fruit for we want to dwell with You forever...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Isaiah 40:6-8
6 The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is
grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:
7 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the
LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass.
8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God
shall stand for ever.

Matthew 3:10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees:
therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down,
and cast into the fire.

Hebrews 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Be Little No More
Mark 5:42, 43 - And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she
was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great
astonishment. And he charged them straitly that no man should know it;
and commanded that something should be given her to eat.

When Jesus bought the daughter of the synagogue official back to life
there was a very interesting comment He made. It is written that 'He
charged them straitly that no man should know it'.

What is that Jesus did not want people to know? Was it that He bought
the girl to life? No for that would have caused them to hide the girl
all her remaining life. To understand what we need to compare this
account in both the records or Mark and Luke.

Luke records her as the official's only daughter and Mark and as his
little daughter, but both confirm in their records that she was of
twelve years of age, why her age unlike in other cases the age was not
given.

When Jesus spoke to the girl He said 'Talitha Cumi' which when
interpreted means 'little girl raise up'. Talitha was a term used for
a young girl. When Jesus instructed them not to let anyone know it was
not about bringing the girl back to life but it was the term that He
used to the girl.

In the Jewish canons and as a custom followed by the Jews it is
recorded that a girl when twelve years old is no longer a girl but is
a young woman and thus has to be referred to as young woman.

We see time and again Jesus was against customs and traditions. Over
here too He showed He was not agreeable to the understanding and
belief of the Jewish traditions. He did not want the Jews at that time
to know His views but the Spirit of God make it a point to record this
in the Gospels like each and every unique and important miracle or
healing that is recorded amongst the thousands and thousands which
Jesus did. Jesus telling them against traditions at that time was not
important for they had not received the understanding of God's Word.
All that the Jews did or claimed as following the Torah or the Word of
God was and is contrary to their claim. They did and do only
traditions and therefore were recorded as followers of Moses' Laws and
not the Lord's Law.

Today's message is to all those spiritual Tali and Talitha 'boy and
girl' to grow up and no longer be little but have the Word of God in
them and do not follow traditions and customs. It is not that
traditions are bad or wrong but one needs to understand traditions are
only for the little ones and the ignorant. If one reads everywhere the
Lord tells them to do a tradition or a custom the Lord specifies it
was to be a witness to the little one of Israel or the heathen among
them.

There are some who insist on giving great importance to traditions.
Look into their lives and you will find no spiritual maturity, no
relationship with the Lord, no power of the Holy Spirit working in
them. They try to hide this by twisting the Word of God and forcing
people to follow their understanding.

Get out from among them, be no longer Tali or Talitha but Cumi in the
Spirit of God, grow in spiritual maturity and become Sons of God.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You came to make Sons of us. Inheritance is not given unto
little children but only unto sons. Lord there are those whom You call
wolves in sheep clothing, who do not want us to inherit the Kingdom of
God. They want to see us destroyed by stopping our spiritual growth.
Lord, we pray that all those who read this message will experience
Cumi in the Spirit; they will reap the fruits of this message and will
no longer be little but mature into spiritual Sons...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Matthew 15:1-3
1 Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,
2 Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for
they wash not their hands when they eat bread.
3 But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the
commandment of God by your tradition?

Galatians 1:13-16
13 For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews'
religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and
wasted it:
14 And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine
own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my
fathers.
15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb,
and called me by his grace,
16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the
heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by
Jesus Christ.

John 7:19 Did not Moses give you the law, and none of you keepeth the
law? Why go ye about to kill me?

The Complete Gospel

Romans 16:25,26 - Now to him that is of power to stablish you
according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according
to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the
world began, But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the
prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made
known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

In today's scripture Paul talks of the Lord having the power to
establish us. What is interesting is he uses the term my Gospel and
also states the purpose of the Gospel.

In all his letters stated in the Bible there is only twice that Paul
uses the term 'my Gospel', here in Romans and again in his second
letter to Timothy. In other places he uses the term Gospel of Lord
Jesus Christ, Gospel of God or just the term the Gospel.

Paul's Gospel is not different from the Gospel of Jesus Christ or the
Gospel but confirms here that Paul's Gospel is part of the Gospel.
Paul also states in this scripture the other parts of the Gospel and
they all are as follow:-

1) Our Gospel - good news of our salvation
2) Preaching of Jesus Christ - it does not mean just teaching but also
what He did.
3) Revelation of mysteries - this do not point to the revelation of
scriptures but the revelation of mysteries of creation, right from the
beginning of creation. It does require us to know all but we should
have an idea of it.

A complete Gospel will have all the three points.

If one analyses each of the three points in depth and has
understanding of all the three, then only will we fulfil the purpose
of the Gospel and that purpose Paul states is the obedience of faith.
It is the understanding of the three which helps us understand and
prove the Word given through the Prophets and also why God gave us His
Commandments and what Laws govern His Kingdom.

We are saved only by grace and grace cannot be accessed by good works
or by human righteousness or any other way but can only be accessed by
faith.

Grace is simply all the mercy we need to pass through and faith means
simply believing in the Truth. Psalms clearly states mercy and truth
are inseparable partners. Thus if we are people living in grace, we
have to be people having the truth in us and the Gospel is the
starting point of us having the Truth in us. When we understand
today's message we will understand how on receiving the Gospel of
Jesus Christ we receive the grace of God and are saved.

People do not live in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ because they
do not have the complete Gospel in them.

Today's message is also good for us to test ourselves; if we know what
our being saved means and from what are we saved. Do we know the
teachings of Jesus Christ and what He did? Do we have an idea of why
God created this world and what is the purpose of this vivid world?

Let us be people of grace having the complete Gospel in us.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, many think they are saved but are from it. They are shaky
because they have not received the complete Gospel. Lord, guide us to
receive and give the complete Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ so that
your people have faith. It is only by faith that we have the grace of
Lord Jesus Christ and are saved...

We make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Psalms 85:10 Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace
have kissed each other.

1 Peter 1:9 Receiving the end of your faith, the salvation of souls.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God:

The Year of Release

Mark 15:6 - Now at that feast he released unto them one prisoner,
whomsoever they desired.

In today's message we find that due to a custom of the Jews they were
thinking of whom to release. Now we need to understand Pilate was not
a Jewish authority but a Roman authority, a person assigned by the
Romans to govern the people of Jerusalem.

Now if it was not a mandatory custom of the Jews the Romans would not
have abided by it. And we know only the Law of Moses were mandatory
for the Jews and they would never compromise with the Laws (customs)
of Moses. When I went through the instructions given by the Lord unto
Moses for the people there was a law which was called the year of
release it was every seven years.

The Lord had instructed the people every seven years they were to
release many things and among them was the instruction to release the
bonded person of Hebrew origin. This custom called the people to
symbolically release a prisoner on the Passover every seventh year. It
was on the seventh year the year of release that Jesus was arrested
and decided along with Barabbas on who to be released and set free.
The name Barabbas means son of a father.

Today's message tells us we were the children of Adam and were under
the curse of our father Adam. On that day on the year of release Jesus
the only Son of God was arrested and crucified so that we could be
released.

We are not just released from dead. We are also released from all
bondages. We are released to have provision provided not by our own
labour or by our efforts but by provision of the Lord. We are release
from the debits of sin and all other kinds of debits. We are released
from poverty. We are released from the bondages of hatred. We are
released from oppression of people. The best part of the release is
not that we are just released, but according to the Word of the Lord
we are not sent empty handed but are set free with the blessings of
Abraham on us.

Let us thank the Lord Jesus Christ not only for our release abut also
remember we are no longer poor but rich according to the Kingdom of
God, for the abundant blessings of father Abraham is on us.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, we thank You for our release. The day we come unto You with
repentance and accept You as Lord and Master is the day and year of
our released. We also thank You for not releasing us empty handed but
with the abundance of your Kingdom. Lord we pray for all those of your
Kingdom who have not yet not received your release, may they accept
the dead and resurrection of Lord Jesus Christ in their lives and may
they experience their release...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Mark 15:6-15
6 Now at that feast he released unto them one prisoner, whomsoever
they desired.
7 And there was one named Barabbas, which lay bound with them that
had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the
insurrection.
8 And the multitude crying aloud began to desire him to do as he had
ever done unto them.
9 But Pilate answered them, saying, Will ye that I release unto you
the King of the Jews?
10 For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy.
11 But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather
release Barabbas unto them.
12 And Pilate answered and said again unto them, What will ye then
that I shall do unto him whom ye call the King of the Jews?
13 And they cried out again, Crucify him.
14 Then Pilate said unto them, Why, what evil hath he done? And they
cried out the more exceedingly, Crucify him.
15 And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas
unto them, and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be
crucified.

How to identify if you are with the imposter mother - the harlot

1 King 3:16 - Then came there two women, that were harlots, unto the
king, and stood before him.

Today's scripture talks of the 2 women who approached King Solomon
claiming the living child was theirs and the dead child was of the
other. It was almost impossible at that time to find the true one
medically since DNA test was not invented at that time, yet we see
Solomon's wisdom allowed him to identify the real mother by testing
the nature of the women towards the child. Solomon knew the real
mother would not let the child be killed and could even let go of the
child for the sake of the life of the child. And by this Solomon did
identify the mother from the imposer.

What is there in this history for us today? Why has the Lord given us
this message today?

Continuing with the current messages the Lord is telling us to be
aware of the imposter among the women. In the Bible the Church is
projected as a woman and mother of its children. The Bible also talks
of one woman being the true Harlot and the false mother / church.

God is telling us to use our wisdom like Solomon to identify who the
real mother is and who is the false mother. The real mother wants its
child to have life and not death but the false mother does not show
concern if the children live or die but is concern of its own
gratification.

The scriptures are God's instructions for us. When the Angel released
the Apostles (Acts 5) from the prison the Angel told them to go and
preach the Message /Instructions of this Life and the Apostles went to
the temple and preached the scriptures. The Bible clearly states the
Word of God is life. The famous writer and philosopher Voltaire said
'If we want to destroy the Christian religion we need to first destroy
man's belief in the Bible'. Then there were also people who knew God
and are looked up to like Abraham Lincoln who said 'all the good from
the Saviour of the world is communicated through this book, all things
desirable to man are contained in the Bible'.

We need to now test and see are we with the woman who wants us to have
life? If the woman we are with says that the Instructions of Life
should not be taken seriously is actually trying to deprive us from
life and this woman is not the true mother but an imposter who wants
to exploit us and she does not care if we live or die.

The Lord is telling each one of us to check if we are with the
imposter church or the true mother Church?

To be with the true or the false is a choice we make like we make the
choice to have eternal life or dead. If we do not know Jesus and had
rejected Him then we would have just rejected life but knowing Jesus
and not accepting His Word is even worst. It is not just dead we
choose but with dead we also choose eternal sorrow. When God made man
He named him 'Adam' which means man but also means 'reddish' which
symbolizes fullness of life. But when man chose to sin, sin manifested
in his generation and Adams (both) grandsons were named Enosh which
means mortal which means to lack life. If people put the names and its
meanings from the genealogy of Adam to Cainan there is a message for
us. Adam (reddish), Seth (appointed or chosen) , Enosh (mortal) and
Cainan (sorrow) and together it means 'Man (who was called to have
fullness of life) chose to have lacking of life (mortal) and sorrow'.
But then when we do the same form Malhalalel to Noah which goes as
follow: Malhalalel (the Blessed God), Jared (shall come down), Enoch
(teaching), Methuselah(His death shall bring), Lamech (the despairing)
and Noah (comfort) and thus from Adam to Noah the names mean:-

Man who God made to have fullness of life chose dead (lack of life)
and sorrow, (but) The Blessed God shall come down to teach the Truth,
His death shall bring the hopeless relief.

Anyone who tells us not to take the whole Word of God as Truth tells
us to stop at Cainan and not go on unto Noah.

All we need to do today is go to those who lead the Church we are a
part of and ask them if we need to believe and follow the whole Bible
or not. If they say a clear yes then you are with the right woman or
the mother Church, but if they say no or give any vague answers you
better pack your bags and move out from that Church even at whatever
earthly cost it may cost you.

Paul said ALL scriptures are inspired by God that man may be perfect
and the famous lawyer and orator Robert Ingersoll once said 'the
inspiration of the Bible depends on the ignorance of the gentleman who
reads it'. So you decide are you going to take the whole Bible serious
or no.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, when You created all things You also knew a how things will take
a turn and You noted all this in your Instructions to man. You also
wrote the way You would make for those who love life and desire your
blessings. Even before they were put in books they were written in
your creation. Lord, we pray every person who reads this message takes
this message seriously and they come out from the false woman who
wants to destroy your children...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

1 Kings 3:16-27

2 Timothy 3: 16-17
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable
for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in
righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished to all good works.

Acts 5:17-21a
17 Then the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him,
(which is the sect of the Sadducees,) and were filled with
indignation,
18 And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison.
19 But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and
brought them forth, and said,
20 Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.
21a And when they heard that, they entered into the temple early in
the morning, and taught...

Follow by example

Zechariah 1:6 - But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my
servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and
they returned and said, Like as the LORD of hosts thought to do unto
us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he
dealt with us.

Christianity is accused of having many denominations but when one
looks at it truly there are not many denominations but primarily only
two. There is one group of so called Christians who follow people and
the other true Christians who follow only Christ.

It is very simple and easy to identify which group one belongs to. The
people of the first category are deep into traditions and teachings of
man. They take the Bible like they take Jesus Christ. The Bible for
them is to be looked at held in the hand but not followed. That is why
some of them make statues and pictures of Jesus so that they can hold
it in their hands, touch it and serve it (like put candles and flowers
to it) but not follow the person it represents.
This category has people who follow people who claim to be
representatives of the Lord Jesus Christ. These representatives go to
a college that teaches the subject 'theology' and they spend years
studying mostly things which are not connected to God but to the
world, things which is against God. They have been programed that
nobody knows God or His Word and one should not make any attempt to do
so but leave it the 'elite club' of them that claim to know.

Their representatives are keeping them busy with activities which are
in God's name but prevent them from having relationship with God.

No man can claim to be a follower of Jesus Christ and not follow His
teachings and way of life. One does not need to highly educated or
capable to know God and understand His Word. In fact God specializes
in making incapable people highly capable. He actually avoids those
who think are capable or make themselves capable.

Today's message is telling the people of the first category to look at
the lives of those whom they have been following. Did not all that the
Lord had spoken come true in their lives?

The book of Deuteronomy clearly talks of blessings and curses. If
sickness and problems are blessings then good health, joy and
happiness should be a curse. Paul should not have written 'rejoice
always' but should have written 'be sad always' and 'be under burden
always'.

The Lord is telling us to look at the people whom we choose to lead us
to Jesus Christ. Do they show Christ in them? Do we see the power of
the Holy Spirit working through them and in them? Are these people
building the Kingdom of God by bringing more and more people to God to
know Him and have relationship with Him? Do not be satisfied with just
one of these points being satisfied in that person but all of these
needs to be in that person who is going to guide us to the Lord Jesus
Christ, if not we need to reconsider that person as our spiritual
shepherd.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You are the architect and maker of life. Life comes from You and
You alone. Although You have created everyone but yet You have said
only few among them are yours and therefore have made the pathway that
leads to You narrow. Lord, it is time people open their eyes and look
at the lives of those who claim to be sent by You to lead others and
know if they are leading along the narrow path or broad path...

We make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Zechariah 1:2-5
2 The LORD hath been sore displeased with your fathers.
3 Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye
unto me, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the
LORD of hosts.
4 Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have
cried, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye now from your
evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor
hearken unto me, saith the LORD.
5 Your fathers, where are they? and the prophets, do they live for ever?

Deuteronomy 28: 15 - But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not
hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his
commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all
these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:

Deuteronomy 28:1-2
1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto
the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his
commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will
set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if
thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

1 Thessalonians 5:16 Rejoice always;

Revelation 2:24 - But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira,
as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths
of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.

PREACH so that people may know God

2 Kings 4:22,23 - And she called unto her husband, and said, Send me,
I pray thee, one of the young men, and one of the asses, that I may
run to the man of God, and come again. And he said, Wherefore wilt
thou go to him to day? it is neither new moon, nor sabbath. And she
said, It shall be well.

In today’ world the Lord is telling us we may think we have many great
Men and Women of God among us, we may find them leading large
gatherings and having great congregation but the Truth is a very sad
situation. And in today’s message the Lord is bringing us to realize
this.

The Shunammite woman is shown here to have great faith. Even when her
son died she was not shaken. She knew that the Man of God Elisha was
able to help her and bring her son back to life. But what is very
important to understand is that she did not believe in the God of
Elisha nor knew Him. Even though Elisha would pass her place regularly
and she knew of the great miracles Elisha performed she not once tried
to have a relationship with or know the God of Elisha. But she did do
great efforts to be in good books with the man who did the wonders.

If one understands the desperation of Elisha when one understands the
reason why Elisha laid himself over the child placing his eyes over
the child eyes, his mouth over the child’s mouth and same with his
arm. When Elisha laid himself part over part of the child he was
telling God ‘take my life but give life unto this body’. One will know
the depth of desperation of Elisha from the scriptures. This was not
the first time Elisha did this; he had done the same before with the
widow’s son and is recorded in 1 Kings 17.

Most of the so called Men of God operate more on gifts. They fail to
bring people to give glory to the Lord and thus land up receiving the
glory themselves.

There are times when I go to unbelievers’ aid to minister to their
sick and when they see that healings happened through me they start to
think I am a Baba (a man with mystical powers). Even when I tell them
about God they do not give ears to it but are more focused on the
healings and miracles. It is only when I tell them to take the Word
and do the miracle themselves I have seen great response from them.
Then it is not I who is glorified but the Lord Who gets glorified.

We need to be more PREACHING Christians than just teaching Christians.
To PREACH means to deliver the tEACHing with PRactise. The Greek word
‘kerusso’ means ‘to proclaim after the manner of a herald’ meaning to
proclaim it with authority. It means for example instead of just
teaching people faith we need to teach them how when we believe in the
Word how it does healings and miracles. We need to show the authority
in which we speak. We need to get people to lay hands on the sick,
take the promise in their mouths, believe and see the miracle happen.
We need to start taking people to have direct connection with the
Lord, experience His Power and stop always being the go in-between for
them.

It gives great joy to see leaders being true leaders, making leaders
of the people put under them and not keeping them oppressed under them
for their own benefit. The Church of God lacks good Captains and
today’s message tells us what we need to do to make Captains for the
Lord’s army.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, there are many who talk about You and do miracles in your name.
But there are very few who preach You and glorify your Name. People
need to know You are the source of all things and they need to connect
to You to experience your Power. Lord, we pray for more preaching
Christians; Christians who demonstrate your Word with action...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
2 Kings 4:1-36

1 Kings 17

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and
preach the gospel to every creature.

Acts 10:42-45
42 And he charged us to preach unto the people, and to testify that
this is he who is ordained of God to be the Judge of the living and
the dead.
43 To him bear all the prophets witness, that through his name every
one that believeth on him shall receive remission of sins.
44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all
them that heard the word.
45 And they of the circumcision that believed were amazed, as many as
came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the
gift of the Holy Spirit.

On The Rock I build My Church

Matthew 16:16-19
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of
the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon
Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my
Father which is in heaven.
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter [Petros], and upon
this rock [Petra] I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall
not prevail against it.
19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and
whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and
whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Today's scripture is the root scripture of the Gospel of Matthew. It
also is the most fundamental scripture for the Church of Christ. If
this scripture is not understood clearly the Church does not have a
firm foundation. Satan knows this and thus has always attacked this
scripture most and that is the reason why we see a very shaky Church.

Different groups of Christians have different understandings of this scripture.

Catholics: They believe Peter is the Rock on which the Church is
built. Their contention is based on the name Peter.

Believers: Many among the Believers assume Jesus as the Rock on which
the Church is founded. Their contention is based on the fact that
without Christ the Church does not exist and also Paul's first letter
to the Corinthians calling Christ as the Rock.

Expounding the Catholic misunderstanding: -
The name Peter in Greek is Petros which really means stone or pebble.
No doubt it means rock but means a little rock. The Greek word for
rock is Petra and not Petros. Simon Barjona was nick named Peter for
the same reason as Thomas was called Didymus. These were nick names
because of the nature of these people. Thomas had a split personality
with a part of him having tremendous faith and understanding, and the
other part being of total unbelief. Due to these opposites living in
the same body he was nick named Didymus which means twins. Simon
Barjona on the other hand was a person who was shaky in his
understanding. No doubt he loved Jesus greatly and showed great
leadership qualities but he also was the person who did the most
blunders among all the disciples. Little rock or pebble means little
truths or a person with half knowledge.

If we look at Paul, he was not one amongst the 12 and had great
understanding of scriptures. He was/is a role model for Christians and
we see he too did not consider Peter as The Rock. You will find he
worked independently although he did have fellowship with the 12. So
if Paul did not consider Peter as The Rock then we too should not.

Expounding the Believer misunderstanding: -
Many Believers think Jesus is the Rock. If we read scriptures Jesus
has always been called the corner stone. He been the only perfect role
model and way for us to live and have victory. No doubt He is also
referred to as a Rock but He is called the Rock from which they drank.
If we understand in the books of Moses there were 2 Rocks. The first
Rock Moses was told to strike for the water to be drawn. But in case
of the second Rock Moses was told to just speak to the Rock and it
will give water. When Moses mistakenly struck this Rock he was
punished severely such that he did not enter the promise land.

Jesus symbolized the first Rock which mankind was made to bruise for
receiving the Living Water. The second Rock was not Jesus - The Son.
So Who is the Second Rock on which the Church is built?

When the Father revealed to Peter Who Jesus was, Jesus told Peter on
this Truth the Church is built. Jesus did not say ‘this is Peter and
on this rock I will build my Church', Jesus said ‘you are Peter and on
this Rock I will build my Church', identifying Peter and the Rock as
two different entities.

So is Truth the Rock on which the Church is built? The answer is Yes and No.

Yes - because, it was Truth that Adam lost along with Righteousness
when he ate from the Tree of Good and Bad. God created all things and
said it was good so there was no bad in what God created, but by
eating of the Tree of Good and Bad Adam ate the fruit of doubt and
thus lost the Truth. It is Truth which will bring us to receive the
Righteousness of Jesus Christ and thus allow us corrupt bodies to
become uncorrupted Sons and enter Heaven. Thus Truth will really bring
us to be part (be wedded) of the glorious Body of the Lord Jesus
Christ - The Son.

No - because, even though we know Jesus Christ yet the Truth is far
from us. Jesus became a sacrifice mainly for the reason that we may
have the Truth in us. Our sins were washed so that we may be found
worthy to receive The One Who can bring the Truth in us. It is the
Holy Spirit - The Spirit of Truth Who brings us to understand the
Truth. Without the Holy Spirit it is impossible for man to know the
Truth. That is the reason teaching of scriptures (Word of God) is only
done after baptism of the Holy Spirit. Before that it is only Gospel
(Good News) and testimonies.

It is the Holy Spirit - The Spirit of Truth Who is the Rock on which
the Church is built. If one sees everything of the Church revolves
around the Holy Spirit. Right from the callings to the numbering of
the main disciples of Jesus (12) were done all according to the Holy
Spirit. Even in the book of Moses it was the Holy Spirit Who played a
very important role in the saving of Israel. He was the Pillar of
Cloud and Fire that led and protected them. He also was the second
Rock which gave them water to live by.

When Moses struck the second Rock, he symbolically grieved the Holy
Spirit therefore was not allowed to enter the promise land. It is not
that Moses will not enter Heaven the true Promise Land, he surely will
and Jesus confirms this by the event of Transfiguration when He spoke
to the spirits of Moses and Elijah.

The Church is on shaky grounds all because it is not rooted in the
true Rock - The Spirit of Truth. We all need to have a one to one
relationship with the Holy Spirit, both individually and collectively.
Unless we do not let the Holy Spirit work in us we will never have the
Truth in us and will never be the bride of the Lord.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You said ‘not by My power but by My Spirit'. Lord Jesus, You
humbled yourself and became a sacrifice so that You could tear the
curtain between man and God and thus make it possible for us to
receive the Holy Spirit. Lord we pray your people understand the
importance of the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit, fall abundantly on your
people and burn a great fire into the hearts of your people. Let the
worldly fire of lust of the flesh and earthly desires be extinguished
by the water of understanding of the Truth and let a Spiritual fire
burn in their heart...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

9 And Moses took the rod from before the LORD, as he commanded him.
10 And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the
rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you
water out of this rock?
11 And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock
twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank,
and their beasts also.

Times of Hunger

Lamentations 5:9-11
9 We gat our bread with lives because of the sword of the wilderness.
10 Our skin was black [kindled] like an oven [furnace] because of the
terrible famine.
11 They ravished [humbled] the women in Zion, and the maids in the
cities of Judah.

In this world God has created everything that connects to each other.
All things depend on each other in one way or the other. If one thing
is disturbed there is sure to see its effects in nature.

I was watching a documentary which stated the migration birds were
deceasing in numbers just because the change in climate had caused
them to reach late to their destination and by the time they reached
the caterpillars had already transformed into butterflies and thus the
birds landed going hungry and dying. Such changes in the climate have
resulted in some place to see hundreds of birds, fishes and animal die
in great numbers.

Yesterday's message was a warning to us and today's message gives and
preview of that warning.

In countries like USA we hear of great Men of God speaking great
things on television. But when events like 9/11 happened there was a
period where all these great men took refuge in shadows. There was no
Man of God whom the Lord spoke through beforehand and warned about the
events, there was no Man of God who stood out boldly and shined giving
glory to God.

Today's message talks of a great time of hunger. This warning was
given even before, almost a year back and in the Bible when the Lord
has warned of famine then one has seen such great disasters which
baffled the senses of man. There are cases where mothers killed their
own siblings for food, people ate parts of their own body as soup.

Hunger is one of the worst things for man and it brings out or
manifests the true nature of inner man in each of us.

The Lord is telling us when this hunger will come then will these Men
of God be humbled and shall no longer walk in pride and in earthly
ambitions, so also will whose serving in His Vineyard.

It may baffle you to know that even if 2 true Men of God reside in
your country your whole country can be saved from many disasters. If
we understand this we will realize the spiritual famine that exists
among us.

It is this worldly famine which will help eliminate the spiritual
famine that exists.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, there are many who claim to know You but are far from You. They
have contaminated the Kingdom of God with worldly desires and worldly
understandings. It is by your patience and mercy that You did not turn
your face from them. But You will not go against your Word and the
time has come for change. You will not allow the foolishness to
destroy the works of your Hands. Lord, like You took care of Elisha in
the time of famine, so also You will take care of us even in these
times...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

The haughty will be taken out

Zephaniah 3:11 - In that day shalt thou not be ashamed for all thy
doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me: for then I will
take away out of the midst of thee them that rejoice in thy pride, and
thou shalt no more be haughty because of my holy mountain.

This message was received yesterday and I wanted to make sure about
the message before sending it.

There were times in between I got led away from the message but then
by God's grace He opened my eyes in time and I had to rewrite this
message.

There are many crazy things happening in the name of Christianity like
Catholics trying to bring all gods on to one platform. Then there are
some Believer churches in the US and other places who are not far
behind and have started a new religion called Chrislam, a marriage
between Christianity and Islam. In both cases people are trying to put
light and darkness to coexist.

You either believe Christ or you do not. There is no believing Christ
as the Only Way and also considering other ways!

What amazes me is the attitude of these people. They spend lots and
lots of efforts to find faults in the Bible and on the other hand they
are happy when they find a little good in other religions. In
Christianity if they find anything that looks like an error they lose
total faith. But in other religions even if there exist thousands of
errors, but if they find even a little good they do no hesitation to
embrace that religion or its belief.

Today's message goes especially against those who are called to lead
His people, to be shepherds and these people have contaminated the
holy place. They are misleading the Lord's little sheep. The Lord is
telling us because of these people He is very anger and is going to
cause great calamities around the world.

This message is for us to speak out against such people and
disassociate Christianity from these people. We need to let the whole
world know that these people are not Christians but are wolves in
sheep clothing out to devour the Lord's people. They are here to bring
down the name of the Lord and not let Him His due glory. That way we
will protect ourselves from God's wrath just like Moses did many a
time by separating the good people from the bad, so as to save the
good people from getting consumed by the Lord's wrath.

The Lord is telling us the time is on hand where His Church will shine
and experience His great glory and before this happens He will clean
the Church. He will expose these corrupt people and also stomp them
out from amongst His flock.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, many of the leaders and leading astray your sheep. They are
contaminating the Holy Place with corrupt understandings or bringing
devils disguised as gods into the Holy Place. We have read in the
chronicles of the Bible how You reacted when Israel bought idols into
the Temple and put them besides the Holy Things. Lord, You have said
today You will pour out more wrath then what You did during those
days. Lord, we pray for your little sheep that they do not get
consumed either by the deceit of these people nor by your wrath, that
they separate themselves unto You...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Zephaniah 3:8-11
8 Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I
rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations,
that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation,
even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the
fire of my jealousy.
9 For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may
all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent.
10 From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my suppliants, even the
daughter of my dispersed, shall bring mine offering.
11 In that day shalt thou not be ashamed for all thy doings, wherein
thou hast transgressed against me: for then I will take away out of
the midst of thee them that rejoice in thy pride, and thou shalt no
more be haughty because of my holy mountain.

The Lord is against His Sheepfold

Jeremiah 49:13-16
13 For I have sworn by myself, saith the LORD, that Bozrah [means
sheepfold] shall become a desolation, a reproach, a waste, and a
curse; and all the cities thereof shall be perpetual wastes.
14 I have heard a rumour from the LORD, and an ambassador is sent
unto the heathen, saying, Gather ye together, and come against her,
and rise up to the battle.
15 For, lo, I will make thee small among the heathen, and despised among men.
16 Thy terribleness hath deceived thee, and the pride of thine heart,
O thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, that holdest the
height of the hill: though thou shouldest make thy nest as high as the
eagle, I will bring thee down from thence, saith the LORD.

Since these few days the messages have not been good for us. The Lord
is again and again warning us. These warnings are against His own
people.

In today's message the Lord is talking of gathering the external
forces against His people and has given 3 reasons for it.

1) Lack of Fear of the Lord.
2) Pride in the hearts of His people.
3) Great worldly ambitions or desires.

These messages have been for His people; people who know the Lord and
have taken Him for granted. They have knowledge of the things of the
Kingdom of God and have been misusing His blessings for their own
personal gratification.

The Lord is telling us He is gathering forces against us to subdue us.
It is time we wake up and reassess our lives and our walk with the
Lord. It is time we concentrate on having a close relationship with
Him and stop following Him like a religion. Christianity is not a
religion, or a social club or a social status. It is a relationship
with God and His people. We may justify ourselves by saying we are
doing this and doing that and compared to others we are many times
better.

Just a few minutes back before I started writing today's message a
precious sister had posted a message that she was in a very bad
situation. When I prayed unto the Lord the message was clear and
connected to today's message.

The Lord is reminding us what Jesus said and is recorded in Mark 4:24-25
24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure
ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall
more be given.
25 For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not,
from him shall be taken even that which he hath.

Let us reassess our walk with the Lord and according to our blessings
let us also dedicate ourselves unto the Lord. Let us stop living more
for ourselves and start living more unto the Lord and His Kingdom. If
the Lord is blessed us with spiritual gifts, let us use it more for
His glory and for His Kingdom. If He has a plan for us and a purpose
for us let us abide unto it. Let us not do it compared to other but
according to what capacity we are blessed with.

One thing we know even in His anger the mercy of the Lord reins. So
today if we organise our lives we know the Lord will bring us out of
these situations and His anger will be dispersed from being against
us.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You created us with a purpose and thus provided for us
accordingly. You are the giver and what You have given when we do not
use it well it angers You. Lord, You are again and again reminding us
to be aware of your presence, might and purpose. In these times of our
abundance grace help us not miss it or misuse it but help us live for
your Kingdom and its glory...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Why does God do this?

Psalms 105:25 - He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal
subtly [to be deceitful] with his servants.

Today’s message continues with the messages we have been receiving
since a few days on persecution.

Whenever any problems come in our way we have prayful people
immediately take authority and start binding the powers of Satan and
start rebuking him. People have made Satan an excuse for everything
concerning darkness or anything going bad. No doubt there are times
that Satan takes advantage of our low spiritual life and brings us to
a state of denying Jesus by shaking our faith and bringing us to
destruction. But most of the times it is not Satan to be blamed but we
ourselves and our actions.

In today’s message we read the Lord provoked the hearts of the
Egyptians to hate the Israelites and to subdue them. It was again He
alone who made the Egyptians to deceive the people chosen to lead His
people.

We may ask why God did such things to His own people, people whom He
loved so much. If we read scriptures the Lord had blessed and
prospered His people when they dwelled in the land of Egypt and did
great wonders for them. But soon His people started adopting the
traditions and beliefs of the Egyptians. They adopted the festivals,
the gods and the traditions of the Egyptians to coexist peacefully
among them. But then the Lord God is the King of peace and peace comes
only through Him alone. So when the Israelites put other gods before
the Lord God, they had rejected Him and thus forsook His peace.

The first Commandment tells us not to make any other gods before our
God. In another place the Lord says He is a Jealous God. In one place
the Lord even claims His name as Jealous. This word describing Him as
jealous is only in Hebrew text in the Old Testament. This word is not
the vice jealousy but means the possessiveness of a mother towards her
children.

People think the first Commandment is like the law of the land if we
do not do it we will be punished. If one really understands it, it is
actually a request from the Lord for our own good. Since He alone is
the giver of peace the greatest mistake would be to reject Him by
putting another god before Him. How can light and darkness exist in
the same room? It is we who subdue the light so that darkness exists
in our lives.

One of the greatest shames in Christianity was in 1965 when the Pope
sent an invitation to the religious heads of all religions to come to
the Vatican to pray together to God for peace. There were nearly 160
religious heads of various religion right from a spiritman of Africa
to a Rabbi of the Jews. Each one called on his god and prayed to their
gods.

The 2nd Vatican which bought thousands of heads of the Catholic
Churches of all over the world together drafted some laws and the most
important amongst them was asking Christians to respect and adapt the
beliefs of other religions especially Hinduism, Islam and Judaism.
Today Catholic priest studying Theology are encouraged to study and do
Masters or PHD in religions like Buddhism, Islam and Vedas among
others. The sad part of it is they firstly have no knowledge of their
own faith and the foundation of their faith which is the Word of God
but are experts on other religions, other beliefs. Ask a Catholic
Priest come out of the seminary what the Gospel of Jesus Christ is and
you will find them fumbling on it. But ask them what Vedanta or
spirituality is and they will rattle like a parrot.

One of the greatest defences we give to ourselves is ‘we are not doing
it, the others are doing it and who are we to judge them?’

If you read in today’s message the Servants of God were not doing the
things which the people were doing but yet they were affected. We are
cannot turn a blind eye to our brother or sister if we find them going
stray from the ways of the Lord. Like Adam was blamed first for Eve’s
sin because he knew it yet kept silent. So also we too will be first
blamed first. And like Adam soon became party to that sin of Eve later
so also if we do not take a stand against it soon we will find we too
are party to sins of those gone astray. A classic example is that
today we have some believer Churches in the US are having the Koran
been read during Church service.

If we stand or sit with a group of people worshiping the Lord and if
that group is going astray we cannot keep silent or ignore their
doings and claim exception from their doings. We should either speak
out against them or come out from amongst them.

Jesus was a Jew and would regularly go to the Synagogue but we see He
always spoke out against almost all the traditions of the Jews since
they were not from the Lord. When it came to His disciples, since they
were not very strong like Jesus they were led by the Spirit of God to
come out of the Jewish Church and thus gave birth to the Christian
Church. That makes Jesus the first protestant and His disciples all
protestants. The Jews thought they were following the Church which
the Lord set through Abraham but were not doing so.

Today if we want peace and if we are amongst a congregation that
compromises on the Word of God to the extent of exalting people over
God, or people’s word above God’s Word, or making us to bow to idols
and break God’s Commandments, we have a decision to take. If we are
strong as Jesus in our understanding of scriptures and we have a very
close relationship with the Holy Spirit, then we can continue where we
are, provided we speak out against their doings like Jesus did. Or
else like His disciples let us come out from amongst them and be with
those like minds like us.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You alone are provider of peace and without You man will not be
able to exist. It is only when we are with You that we experience
peace. It is not that there will be no problem, but in between crises
your glory will shine on us and the world will know You are with us.
Lord, we pray that boldness and understanding come into your people
and that they always remember what Lord Jesus said again and again
many time ‘do not fear’ when You are with us...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Psalms 105:23-25
23 Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
24 And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than
their enemies.
25 He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with
his servants.

Psalms 1:1-3
1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the
scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he
meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that
bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not
wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Naphtali the Hind

Numbers 26:48 - Of the sons of Naphtali after their families: of
Jahzeel, the family of the Jahzeelites: of Guni, the family of the
Gunites:

Today's message talks of the family of Naphtali. Naphtali was the
fifth son of Jacob second by Bilhah, Rachel's maid.

Rachel had not borne any child while her sister Leah had four. It came
to a point that Rachel pleaded with Jacob to give her a child or else
she would die. Jacob had to tell her that he was not God and bearing a
child or making a womb fruitful was in the hands of God and not him.
So she proposed Jacob to bear her a child through her maid Bilhah by
taking her wife (meaning being one with her).

In those days a maid was not just a slave, they were part family part
servant. They were well taken care of, but had to perform their
duties. Their children were considered children of their master.

Jacob bore first Dan through Bilhah and then bore Naphtali. The name
Naphtali means wrestling, Rachel considered she had wrestled with her
sister to receive a son. She considered God had judged her but yet
heard her cry and gave her a son through Bilhah. Leah on seeing this
offered Jacob her maid to also take as wife and bear her more sons.

We may wonder why this foolishness between these two women. We see
nothing in the Bible just happen especially in the Old Testament. I
must have told you before the 12 tribes represent the 12 Fruits of the
Holy Spirit. If one studies the Fruits then one will understand why
the 2 women had borne some sons themselves and some through their
maids. Everything was connected to Christ (Jesus and the Holy Spirit).

When Naphtali was blessed by Jacob he said "Naphtali is a hind let
loose, he giveth goodly words." Hind symbolized a swift messenger and
this prophecy was fulfilled when Jesus preached more often in the land
which was given unto the families of Naphtali.

In today's message the Lord is telling us like the birth and life of
Naphtali we may feel why are we born in the family we are in or why
did we come from a specific background or with a certain past. We may
not be born in a believer family but a family under bondages. We may
have been worshiping other gods once upon a time.

The Lord is telling each one of us He does all things for good and our
lives have a purpose, like Naphtali. We too will one day be glorified
in Jesus Christ when we become a part of His Body but this will happen
only when we become one with the Holy Spirit allowing Him to grow His
Fruits in us and preaching the message of Good Tiding of the Lord
Jesus Christ.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, eve before we were put into the flesh in this world You knew us
and knew the plan and the end results of our lives. We believe Lord
You have our names in the Book of Life and that is why You are giving
us this message today. We thank You Lord even though we were born in
family who did not know You or were lost in this world for a period or
were under great bondages You had us under your protection and did not
let the breathe of us to go until You finish your plan in us. Holy
Spirit, You are our Husbandman and we surrender to You help us bear
Fruit and make us a part of our Lord Jesus Christ for His glory
through the Father...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Genesis 29:1-9
1 And when Rachel saw that she bare Jacob no children, Rachel envied
her sister; and said unto Jacob, Give me children, or else I die.
2 And Jacob's anger was kindled against Rachel: and he said, Am I in
God's stead, who hath withheld from thee the fruit of the womb?
3 And she said, Behold my maid Bilhah, go in unto her; and she shall
bear upon my knees, that I may also have children by her.
4 And she gave him Bilhah her handmaid to wife: and Jacob went in unto her.
5 And Bilhah conceived, and bare Jacob a son.
6 And Rachel said, God hath judged me, and hath also heard my voice,
and hath given me a son: therefore called she his name Dan.
7 And Bilhah Rachel's maid conceived again, and bare Jacob a second son.
8 And Rachel said, With great wrestlings have I wrestled with my
sister, and I have prevailed: and she called his name Naphtali.
9 When Leah saw that she had left bearing, she took Zilpah her maid,
and gave her Jacob to wife.

Genesis 49:21 - Naphtali is a hind let loose: he giveth goodly words.

Matthew 4:13-15
13 And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is
upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:
14 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,
15 The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the
sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;

Isaiah 9:1-2
1 Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation,
when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the
land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the
way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations.
2 The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they
that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the
light shined.

Proclaim liberty to others or else face the consequences

Jeremiah 34:17-18
17 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Ye have not hearkened unto me, in
proclaiming liberty, every one to his brother, and every man to his
neighbour: behold, I proclaim a liberty for you, saith the LORD, to
the sword, to the pestilence, and to the famine; and I will make you
to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.
18 And I will give the men that have transgressed my covenant, which
have not performed the words of the covenant which they had made
before me, when they cut the calf in twain, and passed between the
parts thereof,

When Jesus said, as His disciples we are to proclaim His Gospel to the
ends of the world, baptizing them and teaching them the Word of God,
it was not an option but a solemn vow which is part of the our
condition of being free from the bondage of sin.

We Christians struggle with our sinful nature or with the problems
that keep coming in our lives not because God is unable to handle
them, but it is because we fail as Christians to keep our part of the
promise made when we are set free of the sins be committed and are
baptized Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

The Bible says we were slaves to sin and were bought to freedom by
Jesus Christ and His Spirit. This freedom although is paid for by
Jesus Christ it has a condition and these conditions are found in the
book of Moses.

The Lord gave some laws concerning freeing of slaves in the books of
Moses and in today's message Jeremiah touches those Laws. In Jesus
Christ these Laws are bought to light in its Truth.

We need to understand although we did not pay the price for our
freedom from being slaves to our sins we still have a price to pay to
the Lord to be completely out of our sinful nature and become
overcomers. This price is not paid to the Lord but the price requires
us to free others from sin like it has been done unto us.

We hear a lot of testimonies about the Lord Jesus Christ appearing to
Muslims in dreams in the Middle East and Africa sometimes to a whole
village at the same time and how they are accepting Him as their
Saviour. No doubt there is happiness that people are getting saved but
these testimonies shame us. It shows how we are failing in the task
which the Lord gave us. The Lord will not loss even one of His sheep
because of our reluctance to do our part of our commitment.

Today's message is strong words from the Lord warning us if we
continue to not fulfil our part of our commitment of being free, the
Lord is going to turn our lives upside down. It is time we stop
warning our seats, sitting in our homes due to fear of men, more
bothered of our own small family but not concern of our greater
family.

Let me tell you, if we continue being a non performing Christian we
will have a testimony. This testimony will not be good. If we want a
good testimony then let us do our part of our commitment and let us go
out from our comfort zone and free others from sin. If you do not know
how, take help. Take help from the Helper (the Holy Spirit) and if you
have a problem hearing Him ask a brother or sister in the Lord who is
performing his or her commitment.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, through the mouth of Moses You gave your Law but by our
receiving of the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ You have made known
these Laws. They were hidden from man for they did not know You. Now
that we know your Law we do not have an excuse to hide behind. You
gave us freedom when we were slave to our sins and You require of us
to do the same unto your children who are still under bondage. Lord we
do not want to face your anger, help us to realize the seriousness of
our solemn oath when we are baptized in the Holy Spirit. Help us to
reach out to your yet bonded children and proclaim liberty into their
lives...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Jeremiah 34:14-20
14 At the end of seven years [symbolizing when one is baptized in
the Holy Spirit] let ye go every man his brother an Hebrew [means ‘one
from beyond' symbolizes God's children], which hath been sold unto
thee; and when he hath served thee six years, thou shalt let him go
free from thee: but your fathers hearkened not unto me, neither
inclined their ear.
15 And ye were now turned, and had done right in my sight, in
proclaiming liberty every man to his neighbour; and ye had made a
covenant before me in the house which is called by my name:
16 But ye turned and polluted my name, and caused every man his
servant, and every man his handmaid, whom ye had set at liberty at
their pleasure, to return, and brought them into subjection, to be
unto you for servants and for handmaids.
18 And I will give the men that have transgressed my covenant, which
have not performed the words of the covenant which they had made
before me, when they cut the calf in twain, and passed between the
parts thereof,
19 The princes of Judah, and the princes of Jerusalem, the eunuchs,
and the priests, and all the people of the land, which passed between
the parts of the calf;
20 I will even give them into the hand of their enemies, and into the
hand of them that seek their life: and their dead bodies shall be for
meat unto the fowls of the heaven, and to the beasts of the earth.

Mark 16:14-19
14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and
upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they
believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the
gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that
believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall
they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing,
it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they
shall recover.
19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up
into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
