: Have You Forgotten?
No matter how good we try to be we all come short of the glory of God,
of seeing the splendor and bliss of heaven. The Bible says, “Blessed
are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth righteousness at all
times. Remember me, O LORD, with the favour that thou bearest unto thy
people: O visit me with thy salvation; That I may see the good of thy
chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of thy nation, that I may
glory with thine inheritance.- Psalm 106:3-5.
Have you forgotten that you are saved? That you area
part of His inheritance, a child of the living God through your faith
and acceptance of His Son in your life?
God promised the Israelites that He would always be watching over them,
bless them, and provide protection for them as long as they abide by
His law. Though it may seem as though there were a lot of rules to
follow, the purpose for all the rules was to cover all the basis. It's
kind of like when a set of rules is enforced because one person had to
do something no one else would do so, everyone else has to get the
lecture too. Three times a year the Israelites were commanded by God to
prepare a feast to Him, these feasts were in remembrance of all that God
had done for them.
Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the year. Thou
shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened
bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the
month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear
before me empty:) And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy
labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of
ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in
thy labours out of the field...And ye shall serve the LORD your God,
and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness
away from the midst of thee.- Exodus 23:14-16,25.
The Passover was a reminder of their salvation when the death angel
passed over them in Egypt and saved all who applied the blood of a lamb
upon their doorpost. The Feast of the Harvest was to give thanks to the
first harvest of the year and bless the rest of the year, and the Feast
of Ingathering (Tabernacles) was to give thanks for a fruitful year of
harvesting. Today, we too have feasts in remembrance of what God has
done for us. We should all be reminded of the birth of Christ for
without Christ there is no salvation. Every nation has some kind of
celebration of a great harvest, such as Thanksgiving day, and every
spring we are reminded of our Savior as Jesus became the lamb that would
give His life and resurrect three days later to save all who apply His
blood upon their souls.
For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be
received with thanksgiving: For it is sanctified by the word of God and
prayer. - I Timothy 4:4,5.
God instructed Moses to write down all that He told him in a book, it
was to be read to all, after he wrote down God's Word he built an altar
and offered offerings to God. God used forty men, beginning with Moses
to write down the words He told them to write. The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.- Psalm 68:11.
And
Moses wrote all the words of the LORD, and rose up early in the
morning, and builded an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars,
according to the twelve tribes of Israel. And he sent young men of the
children of Israel, which offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace
offerings of oxen unto the LORD. And Moses took half of the blood, and
put it in basons; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar. And
he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the
people: and they said, All that the LORD hath said will we do, and be
obedient. And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and
said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with
you concerning all these words. - Exodus 24:4-8.
There is nothing more precious than blood, it is what sustains life,
without it we would die, it is the most precious thing to God. The
entire Book is about life giving blood. The blood of animals was
temporarily offered to sustain life, but it was not something that
lasted. Jesus Christ came to offer Himself as a mere animal in order to
sustain life for eternity. Just one sprinkle of that blood is all we
need to sustain our lives.
How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit
offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead
works to serve the living God?..And almost all things are by the law
purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission... So
Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that
look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
- Hebrews 9:14,22,28. Praise God!
God sent Moses up on the mount to retrieve the tablets of stone, as the people stood afar they saw something amazing and scary. And
the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there:
and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I
have written; that thou mayest teach them...And Moses went up into the
mount, and a cloud covered the mount. And
the glory of the LORD abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it
six days: and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of the midst of
the cloud. And the sight of the glory of the LORD was like devouring
fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel. And
Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount:
and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights. - Exodus 24:12,15-18.
Did you ever look directly into the sun? It is so bright and amazing
that it just hurts your eyes and blinds you.
Did you ever notice a thunder storm? It is so amazing and scary, first you
hear the loud crash of thunder, then the bolt of lightening appears. Now,
imagine that as God. That is the glory of the Lord. The word glory
means great beauty, magnificence, and splendor, the bliss and splendor
of heaven. The glory of the Lord is so beautiful, so amazing, yet a little scary,
but to see His glory is to know that our great and mighty God is never far
and always watching over us. You no longer come short of the glory of God because you have the blood of His Son, Jesus Christ upon your soul.
Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that
great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting
covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in
you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to
whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. - Hebrews 13:20,21. Praise God!
God instructed Moses to build a place for Him to dwell. “And
the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel,
that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly
with his heart ye shall take my offering...And let them make me a
sanctuary; that I may dwell among them. According to all that I shew
thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the
instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it - Exodus 25:1,2,8,9.
Today, God does not dwell upon any building, He dwells in every person who has accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior.
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God
dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God
destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.- I Corinthians 3:16,17.
Now, if you are living in sin you can be sure
that God has turned His back on you. He does not want to see you sin in
the body that He dwells in and you can be sure that you will be
convicted until you repent.
Jesus Christ Revealed: Today Jesus is revealed through the ark, the tabernacle.
But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater
and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of
this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own
blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal
redemption for us. - Hebrews 9:11,12.

Cleared of All Charges
The word law is defined as the principles and regulations established in a community by some authority and applicable to its people, whether in the form of legislation or of custom and policies recognized and enforced by judicial decision. Our
authority is God, whether we choose to believe that or not, God is in
control of everything. Our judge is Jesus Christ and one day Jesus will
return and when He does we will all stand before our Him in a court of
law. The people are every soul God created. The Bible says, “For
there is no respect of persons with God. For as many as have sinned
without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in
the law shall be judged by the law; (For not the hearers of the law are
just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
- Romans 2:11-13. To be justified means to be cleared of all the
charges. When you stand before Jesus, will you be cleared of all the
charges against you?
I am not going to be the first to tell you that I understand all of the
laws that God enforced, but I can tell you that whatever God does it is
for a purpose and all He is really out to get from us is someone who is
faithful and has some morals about them. God Himself spoke to the
Israelites from a mountain, He told them His first ten commandments.
And
God spake all these words, saying, I am the LORD thy God, which have
brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou
shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any
graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or
that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD
thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the
children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And
shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my
commandments. - Exodus 20:1-6.
The very first command is not to place any other gods before Him, gods
are not necessarily literal gods, but people, careers, hobbies, sports,
addictions. Anything that takes top priority above God is seen as a god
to Him. Look at it this way, God sees us as partners in a marriage, a
marriage is simply a union between two people. So, the second you call
on Jesus Christ to save you you enter a marriage with Him, a union. If
you are married or are in a relationship with someone then you know the
second they even talk to someone who has been flirty with them you get
jealous. God is the same way, He wants you faithful to Him. Jesus said,
There
is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or
mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,
But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and
brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with
persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.- Mark 10:29,30.
Incidentally, do you see all the statues out there representing heaven
and hell? More importantly heaven, people bow down to them all the time.
All of them, including the virgin Mary, angels, and crucifixes are
graven images that we are not to bow down to. Mary was not a saint, she
was just like you and I, she just found favor with God as He does
everyone who is faithful to Him. Crucifixes are a representation of
Christ dying on the cross, He is no longer on the cross nor in the
grave, therefore, we are to bow down to the living God, not a cross that
He is no longer on.
Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a
standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land,
to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God.- Leviticus 26:1.
It is good to have these images to show us all that
Jesus went through and remind us what He did for us, they are visuals
not to be worshiped, but only to be recognized.
As the Israelites heard the thundering, lightening, and all the noise
they were scared and were afraid to even speak to God, but Moses calmed
them down, told them not to be afraid, and explained to them why God was
enforcing these laws.
And
all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise
of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it,
they removed, and stood afar off. And they said unto Moses, Speak thou
with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.
And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you,
and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not. And the
people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where
God was. And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the
children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from
heaven. Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make
unto you gods of gold. An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and
shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings,
thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will
come unto thee, and I will bless thee. - Exodus 20:18-24.
God hates sin, yes, He is a forgiving God, but He rather us not sin at
all than have to go before Him in constant confession. God enforces laws
upon us to protect us and keep us from hurting ourselves. We are the
ones who suffer from the stupid mistake we make, but we do not have to.
We are to daily offer ourselves as a living sacrifice, in doing so, we
not only keep ourselves from falling into sin, God will truly bless us
for it too.
beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present
your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is
your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye
transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that
good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. - Romans 12:1,2.
The next two chapters are about God's judgments upon the people over servants, neighbors, possessions, and even morality.
Now these are the judgments which thou shalt set before them...And if any
mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life, Eye for eye, tooth
for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, Burning for burning, wound for
wound, stripe for stripe. And if a man smite the eye of his servant, or
the eye of his maid, that it perish; he shall let him go free for his
eye's sake.- Exodus 21:23-26.
This is an illustration of reaping what you sow,
while God gets the vengeance, what ever you do to someone will come back
at you.
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that
shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh
reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit
reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due
season we shall reap, if we faint not. - Galatians 6:7-9.
Today, if you stood before God, would you be cleared of all the charges
that are brought before you? You can be. Simply call on Jesus and ask
Him to save you. Only by the grace of God can we be justified. Knowing
that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith
of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be
justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for
by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. Galatians 2:16.
Why are we now justified by grace and not the law? God saw that no
matter how much He tried to enforce the laws that there were not keeping
people from committing sin, which death is the penalty for sin.
Therefore, He sent Jesus to save us rather than trying to follow all
these rules. Now, just because we are saved that does not mean that it
is just a get out of jail for free card. If you are saved and still
living in sin, God will place judgment upon you before He allows you to
come to paradise.
For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if
it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the
gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the
ungodly and the sinner appear? Wherefore let them that suffer according
to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well
doing, as unto a faithful Creator. - I Peter 4:17-19.
Jesus Christ Revealed: Today Jesus is revealed through the Ten Commandments. Jesus was perfect and without sin and also gave us a new Commandment, "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another." John 13:34.
Thanks and God Bless You, I am praying for you

Need A Little Help

I use to think that if I wanted something done right I needed to do it
myself or that I could get it done faster without anyone getting in my
way. I come to realize two things over the years: 1. Many hands make
light work. 2. I am not invincible. We when get to heaven we are not
going to tire out our bodies, but while we live in the flesh we just
simply can not do everything by ourselves all the time. Do you know the
reason why so many people are unhealthy, overweight, or depressed? They
take on too much thinking they can handle it by themselves and when they
fail they beat themselves up over it. The Bible says, Two
are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.
For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that
is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.- Ecclesiastes 4:9,10. We all need a helping hand from time to time, we
always need God's hand in things, but sometimes we need the help of
others as well.
Moses had the great task of leading the entire group of Israelites
from Egypt to Canaan, God did appoint his brother Aaron to help him, but
other than that he pretty much handled everything on his own. I am sure
that Moses was pretty tired at the end of the day after dealing with
the burdens and complaints of so many. Moses would soon find out that
maybe he needed a little help. Even in the wilderness they had enemies,
they were fighting with the Amalekites.
Then
came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim. And Moses said unto
Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I
will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand. So
Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses,
Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. And it came to pass, when
Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his
hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses hands were heavy; and they took a
stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur
stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other
side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. - Exodus 17:8-12.
As long as Moses held up the rod God helped them and they were
winning, but the second Moses put his hand down God stopped helping them
and the Amalekites were defeating them. However, when Aaron and Hur
helped him through his weakness they prevailed. It was not the rod that
gave them the victory or that God was not with them because he did not
hold up the rod, it was looking to God that gave them the victory.
Whenever Moses held up the rod he was looking to God, but when he became
weak and let the rod down he took his eyes off God and they failed. Our
faith in God is like a roller coaster, sometimes it is up and sometimes
it is down, and when it gets down we can take our eyes off Him. With
the help of other believers encouraging us we get stronger in our faith
and will prevail.
We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not
to please ourselves. Let every one of us please his neighbour for his
good to edification. For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is
written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me. - Romans 15:1-3.

When Jethro, Moses' father-in-law, heard all that God was doing for
the Israelites and that they were now free he met up with him. He was
pleased to see all that God had done, but was a bit disturbed to see
that Moses was taking on all the burdens of the people all by himself.

And
Jethro said, Blessed be the LORD, who hath delivered you out of the
hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of Pharaoh, who hath
delivered the people from under the hand of the Egyptians... And it came
to pass on the morrow, that Moses sat to judge the people: and the
people stood by Moses from the morning unto the evening...And Moses'
father in law said unto him, The thing that thou doest is not good. Thou
wilt surely wear away, both thou, and this people that is with thee:
for this thing is too heavy for thee; thou art not able to perform it
thyself alone. Hearken now unto my voice, I will give thee counsel, and
God shall be with thee: Be thou for the people to God-ward, that thou
mayest bring the causes unto God: And thou shalt teach them ordinances
and laws, and shalt shew them the way wherein they must walk, and the
work that they must do.â- Exodus 18:10,13,17- 20.

Moses did what Jethro suggested, he taught and appointed people to
take on most of the burdens of the people, except for the things that
really needed his attention.
And
Moses chose able men out of all Israel, and made them heads over the
people, rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and
rulers of tens. And they judged the people at all seasons: the hard
causes they brought unto Moses, but every small matter they judged
themselves. And Moses let his father in law depart; and he went his way
into his own land. - Exodus 18:25-27.
We all need help from others, it is wise to teach others what we know,
we are not invincible and we will not be around forever, so, it is
important that we teach others so they can continue to do what we have
worked so hard to accomplish.
And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men,
apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose
themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the
acknowledging of the truth; II Timothy 2:24,25.
We all need God's help, in everything that we do, God promises to always be there for us when we keep His covenant.
And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the
mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell
the children of Israel; Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and
how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself. Now
therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then
ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the
earth is mine: And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy
nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of
Israel. - Exodus 19:3-6.
What is our covenant with God today? Trusting in His Son, Jesus Christ, and allowing Him to live through us. Jesus said,
Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me
for the very works' sake. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that
believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works
than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye
shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified
in the Son.- John 14:11-13.
Even Jesus needs our help, Jesus knew that He was not
always going to be here on earth to reach everyone with the Gospel.
Therefore, He entrusts believers to go out and do what He did here on
earth as well. In fact, He knew that we would reach even more people
that He would. Why? We believe in Him by faith, we did not get to see
Him in the flesh, so, it is by our faith in Him that He lives in us and
others see it and learn of Him. And another thing, if we stopped telling
people about Jesus millions of people would end up in hell because they
have no one to teach them the truth.
Jesus Christ Revealed: Today Jesus is revealed through the Rock and the Water.
If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me
to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee
living water. - John 4:10.

God Will Fight For You
The word fight is defined as a battle or combat,
to uphold or maintain, a will to resist. As Christians we are in a
constant fight, a battle to maintain the good character that God has
created in us. Think about it, if it is not people it is possessions, if
it is not possessions it is careers, if it is not careers it is money,
we are in constant battle with something that the world has to offer to
keep ourselves right with God. The Bible says, From
whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of
your lusts that war in your members? Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and
desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not,
because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that
ye may consume it upon your lusts. Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know
ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever
therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
- James 4:1-4. God has given us everything on this earth to enjoy, He
will gladly give it to us if we just have faith, trust Him, and stop
fighting Him over the things we think we need. We can have a career, a
family, anything that our hearts desire, as long as we seek first the
Kingdom of God and let God do the fighting for us. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. - Matthew 6:33.
The Israelites finally had their freedom, they were no longer held in
slavery to the Egyptians. Right above them was a cloud, it followed them
day and night, in it was none other than God Himself, He went where
ever they went and protected them along their journey to the promised
land. And
the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them
the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by
day and night:- Exodus 13:21.
Can you imagine looking up and knowing that God was
right there in the cloud? I envy what the Israelites had, but I know I
do not need a cloud because God is always watching over me and
protecting me, He is just doing it from a larger view. You would think
that the Israelites had more faith in Him than anyone, but the sad thing
is that they did not. No sooner than they left they were complaining to
Moses when God led them to the Red Sea.
Speak
unto the children of Israel, that they turn and encamp before
Pihahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, over against Baalzephon: before
it shall ye encamp by the sea... But the Egyptians pursued after them,
all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army,
and overtook them encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before
Baalzephon. And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up
their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they
were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD.
And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast
thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt
thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt? Is not this the word that
we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the
Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than
that we should die in the wilderness. And Moses said unto the people,
Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he
will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye
shall see them again no more for ever. The LORD shall fight for you, and
ye shall hold your peace. - Exodus 14:2,9-14.
Moses reminded them that God will fight for them. If God went through
all the trouble to set the Israelites free wouldn't you think He would
be able to save them from the Egyptians or anyone else that went after
them? God was testing their faith. Oh, I am sure that there were a few
in the bunch that believed, but the majority could not get passed the
next miracle. The second things looked hard for them they were wishing
they were back in Egypt. See the word salvation? Do you see the
salvation of the Lord? If you have called in Jesus to save you than you
should have no problem seeing it.For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.- Romans 10:13.

God miraculously parted the Red Sea and allowed the Israelites to walk
right through a path, that was as dry as land. Do you think the
Egyptians did not know that God was the one doing that? Of course they
did. And
the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea,
even all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen. And it came
to pass, that in the morning watch the LORD looked unto the host of the
Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the
host of the Egyptians, And took off their chariot wheels, that they
drave them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the
face of Israel; for the LORD fighteth for them against the Egyptians.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that
the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and
upon their horsemen. And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea,
and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the
Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the
midst of the sea.- Exodus 14:23-27.
Even the Egyptians knew that God was fighting for them, they headed
back for safety, but the waters gave up on them and they all drowned.
Isn't amazing that unbelievers have more faith in God than we do? Well,
perhaps it wasn't that they did not have faith, perhaps it was that they
just wanted everything handed to them. The Bible says, What
doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have
not works? can faith save him?..Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and
I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee
my faith by my works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest
well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain
man, that faith without works is dead?
- James 2:14,18-20. Even Satan believes in God, but it is not enough to
believe in Him that saves us. We must do the work, meaning unless you
have prayed and asked Jesus to save you He is not going to save you. That
if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe
in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be
saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the
mouth confession is made unto salvation.- Romans 10:9,10.
After the Israelites saw the Egyptians drown they rejoiced and began
singing and praising God, but three days later they were complaining
once more. The water they walked over to was bitter and undrinkable. God
miraculously made sweetened the water. Later on God miraculously
produced food for them to eat, for forty years manna came down from
heaven and fed them. Each time God was putting them to the test. Why was
God giving them one test after another? He explains through Moses. ... there
he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,
And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy
God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to
his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these
diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am
the LORD that healeth thee.Exodus 15:25b,26. He was proving them, establishing the genuineness of who
He was. He was trying to get the Israelites to see that these things
were not things that just anyone could do, but He and He alone could do.
Why? To give Him the glory! Thou
hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my
sackcloth, and girded me with gladness; To the end that my glory may
sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give
thanks unto thee for ever. - Psalm 30:11,12.
God does not want to see us suffer, but the truth is that unless we
face some suffering we tend to forget that He is right there above us,
watching over us, and fighting for us. It is time that we all stop and
think about all that God has given us and the miraculous things that He
has done for us, not only through our suffering, but even when things
are going well too. WE NEED NOT WORRY ABOUT TOMMORROW JUST PUT YOUR
FAITH IN GOD. But
thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness,
godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. Fight the good fight of
faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and
hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. - I Timothy 6:11,12.
Jesus Christ Revealed: Today Jesus is revealed through the manna, This
is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof,
and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any
man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will
give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.- John 6:50,51.

A Stranger No More
,
A stranger is defined as a person with whom one has had no personal acquaintance, an outsider, a person who is not a member of the family. The Bible says, But
now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the
blood of Christ...For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto
the Father. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but
fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
- Ephesians 2:13,18,19. The second you accept Christ as your Savior you
are no longer a stranger, but a member of God's family. Praise God!
As we have been reading through the Book of Exodus, we first learned
that Pharaoh was fearful of the Israelites because of their strength and
number. In order to control that number he ordered all male Hebrew
babies born to be killed. Well, who would have thought that eighty years
later the same thing would happen to the Egyptians, but this time the
order came from God, only it was not babies that were to be killed, but
the first born of every household.
And
the LORD said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague more upon
Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence: when he
shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether.. . And
Moses said, Thus saith the LORD, About midnight will I go out into the
midst of Egypt: And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die,
from the first born of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto
the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the
firstborn of beasts. And there shall be a great cry throughout all the
land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any
more. But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his
tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the LORD doth
put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel. - Exodus 11:1,4-7.
God is no respecter of persons, He will cast out anyone who rejects Him,
Tribulation
and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first,
and also of the Gentile; But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that
worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: For there is
no respect of persons with God. For as many as have sinned without law
shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law
shall be judged by the law;- Romans 2:9-12.
God, gave instructions to the Israelites to follow if they wanted to be saved from this plague,
Speak
ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of
this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the
house of their fathers, a lamb for an house: And if the household be too
little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take
it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his
eating shall make your count for the lamb. Your lamb shall be without
blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep,
or from the goats: And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of
the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel
shall kill it in the evening. And they shall take of the blood, and
strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the
houses, wherein they shall eat it...And thus shall ye eat it; with your
loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and
ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD's passover. For I will pass
through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn
in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of
Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.- Exodus 12:3-7,11,12.
Each male of the household was to take a perfect male lamb, kill it,
take the blood and wipe it all over the door post, then roast and
everyone in the house was to eat the sacrifice. It was to be just enough
for all of them to eat, with nothing to be left over. The key to being
saved is doing what God instructs us to do, the Israelites did as God
instructed and were saved as a result.
And
the children of Israel went away, and did as the LORD had commanded
Moses and Aaron, so did they. And it came to pass, that at midnight the
LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of
Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that
was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle. And Pharaoh rose up
in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and
there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there
was not one dead. And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said,
Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the
children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as ye have said. Also take
your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me
also. And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might
send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men. - Exodus 12:28-33.
The Israelites were not only saved from the plague they were also freed
from Egypt. This became what is known as the Lord's Passover and every
year at the same time they were to observe the Passover as a remembrance
of this miraculous event. This is of course symbolic of Jesus Christ,
He was the perfect male lamb that was sacrificed to save us from death.
The only way we can be saved is if we listen to God's instructions.
That
if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe
in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be
saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the
mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith,
Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no
difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is
rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name
of the Lord shall be saved. - Romans 10:9-13.
God first chose the Israelites to be His family, to show the world just
how blessed a nation could be by obeying His commands and allowing Him
to lead them. However, just being born into the family did not
automatically make them one of God's family. It was required that all
males become circumcised and females be cleansed if they wanted to be a
part of the family. The amazing thing was that anyone wanting to be a
part of the family, regardless of whether or not they were born a Hebrew
could become a part of the family.

And
the LORD said unto Moses and Aaron, This is the ordinance of the
passover: There shall no stranger eat thereof: But every man's servant
that is bought for money, when thou hast circumcised him, then shall he
eat thereof. A foreigner and an hired servant shall not eat thereof. In
one house shall it be eaten; thou shalt not carry forth ought of the
flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall ye break a bone thereof.
All the congregation of Israel shall keep it. And when a stranger shall
sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to the LORD, let all his
males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he
shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person
shall eat thereof. -Exodus 12:43-48.
The word circumcise means to purify spiritually, the second you call on Jesus Christ as your Savior you are circumcised spiritually. And
ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and
power: In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made
without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the
circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are
risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath
raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the
uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him,
having forgiven you all trespasses; - Colossians 2:10-13. Praise God!
Jesus Christ Revealed: Today Jesus is revealed through the sacrificial lamb. Jesus is the Lamb of God,
The
next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb
of God, which taketh away the sin of the world... And looking upon Jesus
as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God! - John 1:29,36.
Thanks and God Bless You, I am praying for you

Who Will You Serve?

No matter how much God shows Himself to be the one and only God, who is in control of all things, there are some people bent on proving that they are more powerful than God or at least equal to Him. They have this mentality that they got where they are themselves and are not going to bow down to God for anything. The Bible says, “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve;...but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” - Joshua 24:15. We have the choice of whether or not to serve God. The sad thing is that they will try to keep us from serving God as well. People live in fear trying to serve God because of what someone might do to them. Can I tell you that God is more powerful than any person or thing in heaven or on earth, even Satan has to get permission from God to afflict us. God takes care of His people and will stop at nothing to give freedom to those who choose to serve Him.

The Egyptians took pride in the fact that the Israelites were their slaves and had no intentions of letting them go free. God, on the other hand was determined to set them free, but before He did He was going to prove to the Egyptians, as well as the Israelites, that He was the one in control.

“And the LORD spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch forth thine hand with thy rod over the streams, over the rivers, and over the ponds, and cause frogs to come up upon the land of Egypt. And Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt; and the frogs came up, and covered the land of Egypt. And the magicians did so with their enchantments, and brought up frogs upon the land of Egypt. Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, Intreat the LORD, that he may take away the frogs from me, and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may do sacrifice unto the LORD... But when Pharaoh saw that there was respite, he hardened his heart, and hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said...Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This is the finger of God: and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.” - Exodus 5-8,15,19.

It is a very bad idea to go against God because not only are we individually effected by it, everyone around us is also. Can you just imagine frogs everywhere you go, coming up from under the floor, wall, and rooftops, and the noise so loud that you could not sleep? Strangely enough, God allowed magicians to do some things, but even the magicians soon realized that God was the One in control. The frogs were just the beginning, the Egyptians suffered through ten plagues, yet through it all not one Israelite was harmed. This is a reminder to all of God's people that no matter what we go through God will see us through it as long as we choose to serve Him. “And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” - Revelation 21:3,4.

Each plague caused Pharaoh to reject God even more, the more God afflicted the Egyptians, the more determination Pharaoh had to keep the Israelites in captivity.

“And the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh: for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I might shew these my signs before him: And that thou mayest tell in the ears of thy son, and of thy son's son, what things I have wrought in Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that ye may know how that I am the LORD. And Moses and Aaron came in unto Pharaoh, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, How long wilt thou refuse to humble thyself before me? let my people go, that they may serve me...And Pharaoh's servants said unto him, How long shall this man be a snare unto us? let the men go, that they may serve the LORD their God: knowest thou not yet that Egypt is destroyed? And Moses and Aaron were brought again unto Pharaoh: and he said unto them, Go, serve the LORD your God: but who are they that shall go? And Moses said, We will go with our young and with our old, with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds will we go; for we must hold a feast unto the LORD.” - Exodus 10:1-3,7-9.

Pharaoh was the king and had authority over all of Egypt, he was determined not to give in to the authority of God. Of course, all the people suffered because of it, even they went before Pharaoh, begging him to let them go, but he refused or wanted them to serve God on his terms, not Gods. People have a hard time submitting to authority and this is what causes unnecessary suffering not only for them, but everyone else around them as well. I do not care who you are one day all will bow down to God. “For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” - Romans 14:11,12.

I came across this article that was trying to convince people that serving God is not of our own free will. I did not even bother reading it because I knew it would be someone trying to discredit God. The Bible says, “And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.” - Revelation 22:17. God allows us to choose whether or not we want to serve Him freely. While He does not want to see anyone go to hell, He will not stop anyone one from doing what they want to do. In fact, He rather you not say you are going to serve Him than say you are and do not. “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.” - Revelation 3:15,16.

However, if you choose to serve God and someone messes with you you can be sure that He will do what ever it takes to let His people serve Him with no fear. The Bible says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation... For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” - Romans 10:9,10,13.

Jesus Christ Revealed: Today Jesus is revealed through the Light of the world, “They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.” - Exodus 10:23. Jesus is the Light, who gives us light. “In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not” - John 1:4,5.

Thanks and God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Ye Shall Be Free Indeed

The word bondage is defined as the state of being bound by or subjected to some external power or control. Sin,
regardless of now or then, holds us bondage, it is what keeps us held
up in the chains that Satan attaches to us the second we are born into
this world. The only way to break free from that bondage is Jesus
Christ, no religion, no amount of money, no amount of praying will set
us free from the bondage of sin, but by accepting Jesus Christ as our
Savior. Jesus Himself taught this in the Temple, Then
said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my
word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and
the truth shall make you free. They answered him, We be Abraham's seed,
and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made
free? Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever
committeth sin is the servant of sin. And the servant abideth not in the
house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. If the Son therefore shall
make you free, ye shall be free indeed. - John 8:31-36.
The Israelites bargained themselves into bondage to the Egyptians years
before the current generation were even born. The greater they
increased in strength and number the more Pharaoh afflicted them. God
seeing the pain that His people were in thought that it was time from
them to be set free from that bondage and head back home to the land He
promised them. He chose Moses and his brother Aaron to be the front
runners that would get Pharaoh to release them.
And
afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the
LORD God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me
in the wilderness. And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should
obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let
Israel go. And they said, The God of the Hebrews hath met with us: let
us go, we pray thee, three days' journey into the desert, and sacrifice
unto the LORD our God; lest he fall upon us with pestilence, or with the
sword...And Pharaoh commanded the same day the taskmasters of the
people, and their officers, saying, Ye shall no more give the people
straw to make brick, as heretofore: let them go and gather straw for
themselves. And the tale of the bricks, which they did make heretofore,
ye shall lay upon them; ye shall not diminish ought thereof: for they be
idle; therefore they cry, saying, Let us go and sacrifice to our
God...And the officers of the children of Israel, which Pharaoh's
taskmasters had set over them, were beaten, and demanded, Wherefore have
ye not fulfilled your task in making brick both yesterday and to day,
as heretofore? -Exodus 5:1-3,6-8,14.
Pharaoh did not release them, in fact, he put more affliction upon
them. Pharaoh thought himself to be a god so, when Moses and Aaron asked
them to let the Israelites go worship God he afflicted them even more,
saying I do not know who this God is, if they have time to worship God
they need more work to do. The truth is, he knew that God was as real as
he was, but he was not about to let the people have anytime to worship
Him. Do you know why? Because he knew that once the people found out
that God was on their side he would be powerless against the bondage he
had on them. “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.- II Timothy 1:7.
Now, the Israelites went to Moses complaining about the affliction they
caused upon them, they complained so much that even Moses went to God
and asked Him why He even told them to go up to Pharaoh.
Then
the LORD said unto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh:
for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand
shall he drive them out of his land. And God spake unto Moses, and said
unto him, I am the LORD: And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and
unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I
not known to them. And I have also established my covenant with them, to
give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, wherein
they were strangers. And I have also heard the groaning of the children
of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered my
covenant. Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I
will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will
rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out
arm, and with great judgments: - Exodus 6:1-6.

God reminded Moses I am JEHOVAH, the Almighty, and of the covenant that
He had with Abraham, God never goes back on His promise. It is us who
cannot see pass the afflictions and walk away from God. God allows
affliction in our lives not to punish us or hurt us, but to grow us,
prepare us, and show us that He is alive. Believe it or not, we are not
the most appreciative people when we are just handed things to us. 90%
of the world, maybe even more than that, have a me, myself, and I
mentality. They want what is best for them, not thinking of the
consequences it might bring to others, forgetting or ignoring that God
gave it to them all along. Of course, we all want things and God wants
to give them to us, but He wants us to put our faith and trust in Him,
first. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. - Matthew 6:33.
Now, after the pep talk Moses and Aaron went back to Pharaoh and tried
once again. This time God brings Moses down to the level of Pharaoh, he
thinks he is a god, well, God will prove Himself JEHOVAH. Moses was
authorized to speak and act in God's name, and endued with a divine
power, to do that which is above the ordinary course of nature. And
Aaron shall be a prophet, he shall speak to Pharaoh as prophets do from
God to the children of men. Thou shalt as a god inflict and remove the
plagues, and Aaron as a prophet shall denounce them.
And
the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and
Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet. Thou shalt speak all that I
command thee: and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he
send the children of Israel out of his land. And I will harden Pharaoh's
heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt. But
Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay my hand upon Egypt,
and bring forth mine armies, and my people the children of Israel, out
of the land of Egypt by great judgments. And the Egyptians shall know
that I am the LORD, when I stretch forth mine hand upon Egypt, and bring
out the children of Israel from among them. - Exodus 7:1-5.
Whenever
God is ready to do something through us to show His existence to others
there is often affliction before there are rewards, yet they are all
blessings from God. We can not truly be satisfied with the reward if we
have not worked at receiving it. Think about it, if things are just
given to you are you as excited about receiving them as you are when you
receive them after working so hard to get them? If God had just let the
Israelites go free do you think that they would realize that God was
with them? No, because in order for us to realize that “THIS CAME FROM
GODwe have to endure some affliction. Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. For
the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if
it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the
gospel of God? - I Peter 4:15,17.

The
amazing thing is that when Jesus sets you free Satan no longer has a
hold on you. Praise God! He can drag you down, pull you along, but he
will never, ever, ever, be able to send you where he is going and that
is straight to hell. And
the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and
brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be
tormented day and night for ever and ever.
- Revelation 20:10.
Now, that does not mean that he will not try to
tempt you, or cause affliction, or get you to stop living your life for
Christ, but it does mean that you have Jesus on your side, even if you
have stopped living your life for Christ. Praise God!
Jesus Christ Revealed: Today Jesus is revealed through the one who would redeem them. Jesus is our Redeemer, Christ
hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us:
for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: - Galatians 3:13.

Thanks and God Bless You, I am praying for you,

God Has Other Plans

God has a plan and purpose for each and everyone of us, regardless of
whether you are completely healthy or have a disability, when God calls
you to do something there are no excuses. The Bible says, Likewise
the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should
pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us
with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts
knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession
for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things
work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the
called according to his purpose. - Romans 8:26-28.

The Book of Exodus is the second book of the Old Testament and Bible
and contains forty chapters. The time line is approximately 1706BC to
1490BC, God used Moses to write it and it was first written to the
people of Israel in order to record their deliverance from slavery to
the Egyptians and to document their purpose for existence as a nation.
What we are to learn from the book is that the animal blood sacrifices
made for salvation were a foreshadow of the Lamb of God, His Son, Jesus
Christ, who gave Himself as a sacrifice to save mankind once and for all
who believe. Your
lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take
it out from the sheep, or from the goats: And ye shall keep it up until
the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the
congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening... And the blood
shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see
the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you
to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. - Exodus 12:5,6,13.
After Joseph died, a new Pharaoh was appointed ruler over Egypt and he
had no idea who Joseph was, or any of his family, but he knew that
there were more Hebrews in his land then there were Egyptians and that
scared him to death.
And
Joseph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation. And the
children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and
multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with
them. Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph.
And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of
Israel are more and mightier than we: Come on, let us deal wisely with
them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth
out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and
so get them up out of the land. Therefore they did set over them
taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for
Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses. But the more they afflicted
them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved because
of the children of Israel. - Exodus 1:6-12.
Pharaoh thought that if he afflicted (tortured) them enough that the
Hebrews would weaken and pretty much die off. However, God had other
plans, He increased their strength and number as well. We may not
realize it, but God uses our burdens to our advantage, everything that
we go through in life is allowed in order to grow and strengthen our
relationship with Him and to prepare us for what is ahead. Beloved,
think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as
though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as
ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be
revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. - I Peter 4:12,13
Pharaoh then came up with this idea to kill every newborn male baby
that was delivered from the Hebrews, but the midwives refused and when
Pharaoh found out he ordered all the male babies to be cast into the
river. Pharaoh really thought that he had everything under his control,
but the fact was that God was in control and will use any situation to
His advantage. He used his own daughter to raise a Hebrew child and even
paid his own mother to nurse and care for him.
And
the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river; and her
maidens walked along by the river's side; and when she saw the ark
among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it. And when she had opened
it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she had
compassion on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrews' children. Then
said his sister to Pharaoh's daughter, Shall I go and call to thee a
nurse of the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for thee? And
Pharaoh's daughter said to her, Go. And the maid went and called the
child's mother. And Pharaoh's daughter said unto her, Take this child
away, and nurse it for me, and I will give thee thy wages. And the women
took the child, and nursed it. And the child grew, and she brought him
unto Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name
Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water. - Exodus 2:5-10.
What an amazing God we have, God not only saved this child, but
allowed his biological mother to get paid for nursing her own baby. When
situations seem hopeless, it is more than comforting to remember that
our God cares about us, knows how to deliver us from our afflictions,
and even blesses us through them. For
our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far
more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the
things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the
things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen
are eternal.- II Corinthians 4:17,18.
Now, some time had come to pass, Moses was in distraught at the way
his people were being treated, he got so angry one day that he killed a
man. Out of fear he fled to Midian, he made a life there and was content
to live there and raise his family there. However, God had other plans,
forty years later, He contacted Moses and told him that he was going to
be the one to lead the Israelites back to Canaan. At first, Moses did
not want to do it, he gave one excuse after another, but when God
appoints you to do something He does not care how long it takes, He will
get you to do it.
And
Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor
hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared
unto thee...And Moses said unto the LORD, O my LORD, I am not eloquent,
neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I
am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue. And the LORD said unto him, Who
hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing,
or the blind? have not I the LORD? Now therefore go, and I will be with
thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say. And he said, O my LORD,
send, I pray thee, by the hand of him whom thou wilt send. And the anger
of the LORD was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is not Aaron the
Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he
cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in
his heart. - Exodus 4:1,10-14.
God has a plan for you, it may be bigger than what you could ever
imagined, but He knows you can do it. Embrace the calling from God and
watch the blessings unfold. Oh, you are going to face some affliction,
but He is right there with you to accomplish it, of course, He would be
since He is appointing you to do it.
Be
sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring
lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in
the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your
brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath
called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have
suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. I Peter 5:8-10. Praise God!

Jesus Christ Revealed: Today Jesus is revealed through IAM, ..Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.-Exodus 3:14b. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty - Revelation 1:8.
Thanks and God Bless You, I am praying for you

Death Is Not Final

Death is a subject that no one really likes to talk about, it seems so
final, like it's the end of the world. However, death is not final, the
Bible says, For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle
were dissolved, wehave a building of God,
an house not made with hands, eternal in the
heavens...Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are
at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by
faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be
absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord-II Corinthians 5:1,6-8.
If you know the Savior there is nothing to
fear about death because you will be with Him up in heaven. Praise God!
From the second Eve bit into the piece of fruit that would cause the
death of man, God has a plan to preserve life. By faith, from Adam, to
Noah, to Abraham, to Isaac, and now Jacob/Israel they knew that a Savior
would be sent to preserve life. Now, it was time for Jacob to pass on
that knowledge to his sons. When Jacob had adopted and blessed the two sons of Joseph, he called his twelve sons.
And
Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I
may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days. Gather
yourselves together, and hear, ye sons of Jacob; and hearken unto Israel
your father...Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy
hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father's children shall
bow down before thee. Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son,
thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old
lion; who shall rouse him up? The sceptre shall not depart from Judah,
nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him
shall the gathering of the people be...I have waited for thy salvation, O
LORD...All these are the twelve tribes of Israel: and this is it that
their father spake unto them, and blessed them; every one according to
his blessing he blessed them. Genesis 49:1,28-10,18, 28.
In a solemn tone Jacob blessed them one by one,
he foretold the amazing prophetic future of each tribe. His first three
sons had the rights of the Abrahamic covenant forfeited to them because
of their wicked behavior. That left Judah to be the next heir in line
to receive the blessing and the reason why he was to become the heritage
that would lead to the birth of Christ, also known as Shiloh, which
means "the peaceful one". Jesus said, “Peace
I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth,
give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be
afraid. - John 14:27.
After Jacob gave his blessings he was at peace and ready to be present
with the Lord. Shortly after he spoke he laid back in his bed and died. And
Joseph fell upon his father's face, and wept upon him, and kissed him.
And Joseph commanded his servants the physicians to embalm his father:
and the physicians embalmed Israel. And forty days were fulfilled for
him; for so are fulfilled the days of those which are embalmed: and the
Egyptians mourned for him threescore and ten days...And Joseph went up
to bury his father: and with him went up all the servants of Pharaoh,
the elders of his house, and all the elders of the land of Egypt, And
all the house of Joseph, and his brethren, and his father's house: only
their little ones, and their flocks, and their herds, they left in the
land of Goshen. - Genesis 50:1-3,7,8.
It is good to mourn over the loss of our loved ones, to cry, and to
even get angry, through it all we can find peace. Death does something
to people, it revives relationships, brings about forgiveness, and
reconciliation not only with God, but family, friends, or any other
estranged relationship. The
LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in
green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my
soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will
fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort
me. - Psalm 23:1-4.

After Jacob was buried, Simeon and all the brothers were sure that
Joseph was going to get revenge for what they had some to him all those
years ago now that there father was not there. However, they had a big
surprise coming to them.
And
when Joseph's brethren saw that their father was dead, they said,
Joseph will peradventure hate us, and will certainly requite us all the
evil which we did unto him. And they sent a messenger unto Joseph,
saying, Thy father did command before he died, saying, So shall ye say
unto Joseph, Forgive, I pray thee now, the trespass of thy brethren, and
their sin; for they did unto thee evil: and now, we pray thee, forgive
the trespass of the servants of the God of thy father. And Joseph wept
when they spake unto him. And his brethren also went and fell down
before his face; and they said, Behold, we be thy servants. And Joseph
said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God? But as for you,
ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to
pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. Now therefore fear
ye not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them,
and spake kindly unto them. Genesis 50:15-21
Joseph not only forgave his brothers he also provided for them and
their families telling them I am here to saves lives not take them. This
is an amazing illustration to Jesus Christ, who was sent here to save
lives.
That
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that
the world through him might be saved. John 3:15-17. Praise God!
Life does not just end when we leave this earth, God chose to give a
soul a certain amount of time to live in a fleshly body. Yes, the body
does die, but the soul goes to one of two places, heaven or hell, there
is no in between. If the soul ends up in hell this is known as the
second death. He
that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he
shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable,
and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all
liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and
brimstone: which is the second death. - Revelation 21:7,8.
Now,
I am sure none of us wish to die this second, but if you were to die
right now, do you know that you would be in heaven? There is only one
way to heaven and that is by asking Jesus Christ to save you. That
if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe
in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be
saved. For
with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth
confession is made unto salvation... For whosoever shall call upon the
name of the Lord shall be saved. - Romans 10:9,10,13. Praise God!
Jesus Christ Revealed: Today Jesus is revealed through the sceptre that shall not depart from Judah. Judah became the lineage from which Jesus would come from.
The
book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of
Abraham. Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat
Judas and his brethren;..So all the generations from Abraham to David
are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into
Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into
Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations. - Matthew 2:1,2,17.

Don't Sell Out
One of the amazing things about God is that He always provides for His children. The word provision means, the providing or supplying of food or other necessities. Necessities are something that is absolutely necessary.
God always provides us with the necessities, even if we are not always
so faithful to Him, but those we are faithful He will even give the
desires of their heart. The Bible says, Trust
in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily
thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give
thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust
also in him; and he shall bring it to pass...Rest in the LORD, and wait
patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his
way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. The steps
of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD
upholdeth him with his hand.
- Psalm 37:3-5,7,23, 24. The key to getting the desires of our heart is
to wait patiently for God, and that is where most of us fall, I have.
Many of us are quick to sell ourselves out because we are looking at our
circumstances rather than what God sees beyond them. Instead of
worrying about tomorrow it is time take one step at a time with God
leading the way.
After fifteen years of thinking that his son was dead, Jacob found out
that he was not only alive, but was also a governor in Egypt. Although
Canaan was the land that God promised the Israelites the famine hit so
hard that the only place to get food was Egypt, thanks to Joseph, who
prepared for it. In a dream God told Jacob to go to Egypt and he would
be with him there.

And Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beersheba,
and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac. And God spake
unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he
said, Here am I. And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not
to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation: I
will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up
again: and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes. And Jacob rose up
from Beersheba: and the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, and
their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent
to carry him. - Genesis 46:1-5.
God never leaves His children, he may send us away from home for a
time, but He is always with us where ever we go. All of His children
meaning those whom have accepted His Son, Jesus Christ as their Savior.
When you accept Christ into your life you become adopted into His family
making you an heir with God and one of His children.“God
sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them
that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into
your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant,
but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. - Galatians 4:4-7.
Sixty-six people traveled from Canaan to Egypt, Jacob was about to see
his son for the first time in twenty-two years. None knew what the
future would, but they knew that God was with them.
ThenJoseph came and told Pharaoh, and said, My father and my brethren, and
their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have, are come out of
the land of Canaan; and, behold, they are in the land of Goshen...And
Pharaoh spake unto Joseph, saying, Thy father and thy brethren are come
unto thee: The land of Egypt is before thee; in the best of the land
make thy father and brethren to dwell; in the land of Goshen let them
dwell: and if thou knowest any men of activity among them, then make
them rulers over my cattle. And Joseph brought in Jacob his father, and
set him before Pharaoh: and Jacob blessed Pharaoh...And Joseph placed
his father and his brethren, and gave them a possession in the land of
Egypt, in the best of the land, in the land of Rameses, as Pharaoh had
commanded. Genesis 47:1,5-7,11.
Even in a strange land God will provide His children with the best
there is to offer. Don't think it's the best you have? Think about where
you were before you chose to live your life with Christ in it? Money
and possessions are nothing without God. I've been there, I had
everything, and lost everything I had because I got away from God.
Today, I have no steady job, barely make $100 a week, but live in the
nicest house I have ever lived in, always have good food to eat, have a
closet full of clothes, and the bills are always paid. God will provide
the best for His children, when we are faithful to Him. O
love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful,
and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer. Be of good courage, and he
shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD. - Psalm 31:23,24.
The Egyptians and Israelites soon found out that their money and
possessions could not do anything for them during the famine, they sold
everything they had to Pharaoh to get food. And
there was no bread in all the land; for the famine was very sore, so
that the land of Egypt and all the land of Canaan fainted by reason of
the famine. And Joseph gathered up all the money that was found in the
land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, for the corn which they
bought: and Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh's house. And when
money failed in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the
Egyptians came unto Joseph, and said, Give us bread: for why should we
die in thy presence? for the money faileth...When that year was ended,
they came unto him the second year, and said unto him, We will not hide
it from my lord, how that our money is spent; my lord also hath our
herds of cattle; there is not ought left in the sight of my lord, but
our bodies, and our lands: Wherefore shall we die before thine eyes,
both we and our land? buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land
will be servants unto Pharaoh: and give us seed, that we may live, and
not die, that the land be not desolate. And Joseph bought all the land
of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold every man his field,
because the famine prevailed over them: so the land became Pharaoh's - Genesis 47:13-15,18- 20.
It was during this time that they lost their freedom, instead
of seeking God for help they went to Joseph and sold all their land and
everything they possessed, even themselves, to Pharaoh and now they
have become slaves, in a sense they sold their souls to the devil,
because they were afraid they sold themselves out. People who live in
the world have the mentality that money can keep them from dying, from
famine, or even from hell, but they fail to realize that money is
worthless. Money can not bring water when there is none to take from the
lakes, it can not bring food when there is no water to make things
grow, it can not keep us from dying, and it certainly can not keep us
from hell. There is only one person that keep us from hell and that is
Jesus Christ.For
Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that
believeth... That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead,
thou shalt be saved. For
with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth
confession is made unto salvation... For whosoever shall call upon the
name of the Lord shall be saved.- Romans 10:4,9,10,13.
Are you having some troubles and looking for any way to get out of
them? Don't self yourself out. Put your trust in God. If you have gotten
away from Him, tell Him you are sorry, He knows you are and is right
there waiting to help you. He doesn't leave you, He just takes a step
back to let your realize that you need Him. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. - I John 1:9.
Jesus Christ Revealed: Jesus is revealed through Joseph, who was placed second only to Pharaoh to preserve life.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. - John 3:16.

Do Not Be Afraid

No matter how strong our faith in God is we all get scared from time to
time, but we have to be careful not to let our fears over take us so
much that it keeps us from doing what we are supposed to be doing. There
is a saying we all have heard, “there is nothing to fear, but fear
itself. Fear can destroy us, literally kill us, but fear can also save
us, the fear of God that is. The Bible says, Let
us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his
commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring
every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good,
or whether it be evil.
- Ecclesiastes 12:13,14. To fear God does not mean to be afraid of Him,
it means to respect Him and acknowledge Him, not be afraid of Him.
Maybe some of us should be afraid of Him, but if we are living our lives
for God than we do not have to be afraid.
When Joseph's brothers returned to Canaan and told their father, Jacob,
that Simeon was in prison and in order for him to be released they had
to bring Benjamin Jacob refused. The only thing left closest to Joseph,
whom he thought was dead was Benjamin, to lose him would kill him. Now,
after some time had passed and food was getting scarce they knew they
needed to go to Egypt and take Benjamin with them, but Jacob was afraid.

And
Judah spake unto him, saying, The man did solemnly protest unto us,
saying, Ye shall not see my face, except your brother be with you. If
thou wilt send our brother with us, we will go down and buy thee food:
But if thou wilt not send him, we will not go down: for the man said
unto us, Ye shall not see my face, except your brother be with you. And
Israel said, Wherefore dealt ye so ill with me, as to tell the man
whether ye had yet a brother? And they said, The man asked us straitly
of our state, and of our kindred, saying, Is your father yet alive? have
ye another brother? and we told him according to the tenor of these
words: could we certainly know that he would say, Bring your brother
down?.. And their father Israel said unto them, If it must be so now, do
this; take of the best fruits in the land in your vessels, and carry
down the man a present, a little balm, and a little honey, spices, and
myrrh, nuts, and almonds: - Genesis 43:3-7,11.
God will test our faith by asking us to give up the thing we love the
most. When Abraham was finally given a son, God tested him. When Job was
stripped of everything he had, God tested him. God even tested the
faith of His own Son. He had flesh just like the rest of us and could
have sinned as the rest of us, but He remained sinless and gave up His
own life to preserve life. When a rich young man asked Jesus how he
could get to the Kingdom of God, He said, If
thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor,
and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. But
when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had
great possessions. - Matthew 19:21,22.
If we want God's blessings we have to give up the thing we love the most.
If we want God's blessings we also need to repent, although God knows
all that we do, unless we confess it to Him we will never be at peace,
the guilt and shame alone will haunt you. So, here are Joseph's brothers
heading back to Egypt with Benjamin, each one probably wondering what
was going to happen to them once they get there. Do you know the best
way to get a person back? Be nice to them. Joseph invites them to lunch,
they get to his house and their fears overwhelm them.
And
the man did as Joseph bade; and the man brought the men into Joseph's
house. And the men were afraid, because they were brought into Joseph's
house; and they said, Because of the money that was returned in our
sacks at the first time are we brought in; that he may seek occasion
against us, and fall upon us, and take us for bondmen, and our asses.
And they came near to the steward of Joseph's house, and they communed
with him at the door of the house,..And when Joseph came home, they
brought him the present which was in their hand into the house, and
bowed themselves to him to the earth...And he lifted up his eyes, and
saw his brother Benjamin, his mother's son, and said, Is this your
younger brother, of whom ye spake unto me? And he said, God be gracious
unto thee, my son. And Joseph made haste; for his bowels did yearn upon
his brother: and he sought where to weep; and he entered into his
chamber, and wept there. And he washed his face, and went out, and
refrained himself, and said, Set on bread...And he took and sent messes
unto them from before him: but Benjamin's mess was five times so much as
any of their's. And they drank, and were merry with him. - Genesis 43:17-19,26, 29-31,34.
Their
cares and fears were now over, and they ate their bread with joy,
concluding they were now upon good terms with the man, the lord of the
land. If God accept our works, our present, we have reason to be
cheerful, but little did they know that Joseph had devised a plan to
bring about their full confession.
And
he commanded the steward of his house, saying, Fill the men's sacks
with food, as much as they can carry, and put every man's money in his
sack's mouth. And
put my cup, the silver cup, in the sack's mouth of the youngest, and
his corn money. And he did according to the word that Joseph had spoken.
As soon as the morning was light, the men were sent away, they and
their asses. And when they were gone out of the city, and not yet far
off, Joseph said unto his steward, Up, follow after the men; and when
thou dost overtake them, say unto them, Wherefore have ye rewarded evil
for good?..And Judah and his brethren came to Joseph's house; for he was
yet there: and they fell before him on the ground...Then Judah came
near unto him, and said, Oh my lord, let thy servant, I pray thee, speak
a word in my lord's ears, and let not thine anger burn against thy
servant: for thou art even as Pharaoh. - Genesis 44:1-4,14,18.
God has strange ways of getting us to repent, but when we do it takes a huge weight off our shoulders. The word repent means to feel remorse for and to ask for forgiveness. The longer we take to repent the more guilt ridden we become the more
afraid we are of what can come of it. Fear from guilt has caused many
people to destroy themselves.
Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Better
it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil
with the proud. - Proverbs 16:18,19.
After Joseph heard Judah's confession he revealed to them who he was,Then
Joseph could not refrain himself before all them that stood by him; and
he cried, Cause every man to go out from me. And there stood no man
with him, while Joseph made himself known unto his brethren...And Joseph
said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came
near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt.
Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me
hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life. For these two
years hath the famine been in the land: and yet there are five years, in
the which there shall neither be earing nor harvest. And God sent me
before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your
lives by a great deliverance. So now it was not you that sent me hither,
but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his
house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.- Genesis 45:1,4-8.
Can you imagine the look on their faces and what fear they had after
realizing that he was telling the truth? Yet, Joseph was not angry, he
did not tell them I told you so, he simply told them to forgive
themselves, assuring them that it was God's plan all along. Although his
brothers were cruel, God used their wickedness to fulfill His will for
Joseph and blessed him abundantly for it. There is truly nothing to
fear, but fear itself. God is always in control, He is all knowing,
forgiving, and blesses all who fear Him. Do not be afraid to go forward,
just put your trust in God and He will take care of the rest,
regardless of your past. “Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. -Psalm 112:1
Jesus Christ Revealed:
Jesus is revealed through Joseph's dealings with his brothers. Christ
deals with us in such a way as to bring about our confession of sin and a
recognition of His forgiving love. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness;
but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but
that all should come to repentance. -II Peter 3:9.

Why So Sad?
At times it seems as though we face one trial after another and when
that happens we can become discouraged, depressed, and wondering where
God is and why He is not helping. One of my favorite poems is,
Footprints in The Sand (1963), The ending says, LORD
you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the
way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my
life there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I
needed you most you would leave me. The LORD replied, my precious,
precious child, I Love you and I would never leave you! During your
times of trial and suffering when you see only one set of footprints, it
was then that I carried you. If you have accepted Christ as your Savior He is always with you and will never leave you. For
I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor
principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor
height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us
from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 8:38,39.

If
anyone had a right to be discouraged and depressed it was Joseph, he
faced one trial after another and now he is sitting in prison for a
crime he did not commit. However, he remained optimistic that he would
one day get out of there. The chance had come, Joseph met two men, the
chief butler and the chief baker who were thrown in prison with him,
they both had dreams and through God Joseph interpreted the dreams for
them.

And Joseph came in unto them in the morning, and looked upon them, and, behold, they were sad. And
he asked Pharaoh's officers that were with him in the ward of his
lord's house, saying, Wherefore look ye so sadly to day? And they said
unto him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is no interpreter of it.
And Joseph said unto them, Do not interpretations belong to God? tell me
them, I pray you...But think on me when it shall be well with thee, and
shew kindness, I pray thee, unto me, and make mention of me unto
Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house: For indeed I was stolen away
out of the land of the Hebrews: and here also have I done nothing that
they should put me into the dungeon...And it came to pass the third day,
which was Pharaoh's birthday, that he made a feast unto all his
servants: and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief
baker among his servants. But he hanged the chief baker: as Joseph had
interpreted to them. And he restored the chief butler unto his
butlership again; and he gave the cup into Pharaoh's hand:..Yet did not
the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgat him. - Genesis 40:6-8,15,15, 20-23.

Ido not know how many times I expected someone or something to come
through and not show up. It's so disappointing, but you shrug it off and
find alternatives. After a while of the alternatives you just wish
someone would acknowledge you and that something would go right for a
change. However, the Bible says, Beloved,
think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as
though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as
ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be
revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. If ye be reproached
for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God
resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part
he is glorified.- I Peter 4:12-14.
God will allows trials in our lives, but nothing we
do goes unnoticed in His eyes, He always shows up when we least expect
it and blesses us too. Praise God!

God showed up for Joseph when he did not expect it, two years later,
the butler remembered Joseph after Pharaoh had dreams and looked for
someone to interpret them. Now, here is Joseph standing before Pharaoh
himself to tell him what his dreams meant, he was not ashamed to say
that God was the one who will give him peace. After he interprets the
dream something amazing happens, Pharaoh is so impressed, he had never
seen anyone know God the way he did, so impressed that he not only
released him from prison, but made him second in command to him.

And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a
man in whom the Spirit of God is? And Pharaoh said unto Joseph,
Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet
and wise as thou art: Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto
thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be
greater than thou. And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee
over all the land of Egypt. And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand,
and put it upon Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine
linen, and put a gold chain about his neck; And he made him to ride in
the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the
knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt. And Pharaoh said
unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his
hand or foot in all the land of Egypt. - Genesis 41:38-41.

Nothing we do goes unnoticed with God, whether it is righteous or not,
so, we need to be careful that we do not get caught up in something that
will haunt us years later. Remember when Joseph's brothers put him down
in that pit? Well, their past was about to catch up to them. There was a
famine in the land just as Joseph revealed to Pharaoh from his dreams,
it had spread abroad and was now in the land of Canaan. Jacob sent his
sons, except Benjamin, to Egypt to get food and when Joseph saw them he
confronted him, but not revealing himself as their brother.

And Joseph said unto them the third day, This do, and live; for I fear God:
If ye be true men, let one of your brethren be bound in the house of
your prison: go ye, carry corn for the famine of your houses: But bring
your youngest brother unto me; so shall your words be verified, and ye
shall not die. And they did so. And they said one to another, We are
verily guilty concerning our brother, in that we saw the anguish of his
soul, when he besought us, and we would not hear; therefore is this
distress come upon us. And Reuben answered them, saying, Spake I not
unto you, saying, Do not sin against the child; and ye would not hear?
therefore, behold, also his blood is required. And they knew not that
Joseph understood them; for he spake unto them by an interpreter.Genesis 42:18-23.

Joseph's brothers probably never got over the fact that they deceived their
brother as well as their father, but now realized that the trouble they
were facing was the result of what they had done thirteen years ago.
This is a reminder that everything we do comes back to us whether it be
for good or bad, no matter how long it takes. If you are facing trials
don't be sad, first, think about what is going on. Is Christ your
Savior? Have you gotten away from God? Have you been faithful to God?
Jesus said, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart:
and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my
burden is light.- Matthew 11:28-30. Jesus will give you rest, you just have to go to
Him. You will find rest in Jesus, trust in Him and He will carry you,
all your trials come to pass and you will be blessed through them.

Jesus Christ Revealed: Jesus is revealed through the wisdom of Joseph,
That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto
all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the
acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;
In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.- Colossians 2:2,3.

God Dreams Big For You

The word dream is defined as a vision, images, thoughts, or emotions passing through
the mind during sleep. Some people also day dream in which they see these visions,
thoughts, or emotions while they are awake. The Bible says, Where there is no
vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
- Proverbs 29:18. God wants us to dream, in fact, He wants us to dream
big, but He wants us to make sure that we dream big in His Word. The
amazing thing about God that much of the world will never understand and
even a lot of Christians as well is that He wants to see us prosper and
enjoy everything that He created for us. The reason why so many people
do not is because their dreams do not match up with God's Word. When we
allow His law to guide us He will never stop providing for us. Blessed
is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth
in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his
delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day
and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,
that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not
wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. - Psalm 1:1-3.

Joseph was Jacob's first son with his beloved Rachael, unlike his
half-brothers he was godly and well mannered. Jacob favored him more
than the others and it was for that reason that they were envious of
Joseph. On top of that Joseph had dreams, big dreams that he would tell
them, which made things even worse. Now
Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son
of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours. And when his
brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren,
they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him. And Joseph
dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the
more. And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have
dreamed: For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my
sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood
round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf. And his brethren said to
him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion
over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his
words. - Genesis 37:3-8.

Joseph's dream was a vision that his brothers would one day bow down to
him as they would a king, now, you can imagine why they were angry.
They must have truly believed that his dreams were, in fact, prophetic
though since they did not disregard them and youthful nonsense. When God
gives you a vision, it is usually one that others can not imagine, but
if they have been around you for a while and know that you live your
life for God they will not disregard them as nonsense, but will mock
you. However, you can be sure that God is with you and it will come to
pass, no matter how many obstacles you face in the process. Wherefore
seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses,
let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset
us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking
unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that
was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set
down at the right hand of the throne of God. - Hebrews 12:1,2.

Their hatred and jealousy over Joseph caused them to plot and evil scheme to get rid
of him. Come
now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we
will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will
become of his dreams. And Reuben heard it, and he delivered him out of
their hands; and said, Let us not kill him. And Reuben said unto them,
Shed no blood, but cast him into this pit that is in the wilderness, and
lay no hand upon him; that he might rid him out of their hands, to
deliver him to his father again...And Judah said unto his brethren, What
profit is it if we slay our brother, and conceal his blood? Come, and
let us sell him to the Ishmeelites, and let not our hand be upon him;
for he is our brother and our flesh. And his brethren were content. Then
there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up
Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty
pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt.- Genesis 37:20-28.

Now, you can imagine what Joseph must have been going through,
wondering how his brothers could have done such at thing, perhaps
relieved that he was sold rather than killed, wondering where his life
was heading. Maybe he talked to God along the way, asking Him why this
was happening to him. When people hurt us, especially family, I imagine
we all question why God allows it to happen. However, God has a plan and
purpose for all that we go through, every obstacle prepares us for that
dream coming true. And we know that all things work together for good to them
that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. - Romans 8:28.

When Joseph arrived in Egypt he was regarded as just a slave, but soon found favor
from Potiphar, the captain of the guard. And
Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh,
captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the
Ishmeelites, which had brought him down thither. And the LORD was with
Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his
master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and
that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand. And Joseph
found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer
over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.- Genesis 39:1-4.

Joseph was blessed, wonderfully blessed, even in the house where he was
a slave. God's presence with us, makes all we do prosperous. Godly men
are the blessings of the place where they live, the prosperity of the
wicked is, one way or other, for the sake of the godly. Here was a
wicked family blessed for the sake of one good servant who was in the
grace of God and Potiphar new it. When we choose to follow God we may
become separated from our friends and family, but we will never be
separated from our God. For
I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor
principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor
height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us
from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.- Romans 8:38,39.

Often, because we choose to follow God we are going to attract the
wicked, Potiphar's wife has been watching Joseph, probably for quite
some time, she became infatuated with him and was determined to get him
in bed with her. And
it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife cast her
eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me. But he refused, and said
unto his master's wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in
the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand; There is
none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing
from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this
great wickedness, and sin against God? And it came to pass, as she spake
to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or
to be with her. Genesis 3:7-10.

Joseph knew that even the mere thought of being with this woman would
be making him sin against God, notice he did not say his God, but God.
God is God of all and those who choose to follow Him through Christ find
His grace. Of course, we will fall out of His grace from time to time,
but we will never fall out of His love for us. He will always guide us
back into His grace. And
God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having
all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
- II Corinthians 9:8. You know Potiphar's wife had Joseph cast into
prison because he refused her and God even blessed him in prison? And
Joseph's master took him, and put him into the prison, a place where
the king's prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison. But the
LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the
sight of the keeper of the prison. And the keeper of the prison
committed to Joseph's hand all the prisoners that were in the prison;
and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it.- Genesis 39:20-22.

God has big dreams for us, we can choose to see our circumstances as
opportunities to make those dreams come true or we can choose to be
depressed and do noting in hopes that something will get better., but
God is amazing, under the most unique circumstances He will make us
prosper through them. Perhaps the most shocking news to people,
especially family and friends, is that we will or will not do something
because God. You will not get a good response, even Christians will tell
you that you are crazy. Let me tell you that you will know who your
true friends are when you refuse to do something because it is against
what God would want. Behold,
I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive
him: On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold him: he
hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him: But he knoweth
the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold - Job 23:8-10.
Praise God!

Jesus Christ Revealed:
Jesus Christ is revealed through Joseph who was rejected by his own
brothers and sold for 20 pieces of silver, Jesus was sold for 30 pieces
of silver, imprisoned, crucified, and became our Savior and soon will
return to rule the world. Then
one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests,
And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto
you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.Matthew 26:14,15.

Crooked Paths

The Bible says, Now
no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous:
nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness
unto them which are exercised thereby. Wherefore lift up the hands which
hang down, and the feeble knees; And make straight paths for your feet,
lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be
healed. Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man
shall see the Lord: - Hebrews 12:11-14. A path is a direction, a route, course, or track along which something moves.
Did you ever think you were going in the right direction only to find
out that you made a wrong turn somewhere? Did you ever notice that most
paths are not straight at all, they are kind of windy and crooked? Well,
life is full of wrong turns and crooked paths and we can really get us
lost on them, but when we allow God to direct our paths He will find us
and make our straight paths for us.

God gave Jacob a command before he left Padanaram, go to Bethel, but when
he got to Shechem he decided to stay there instead. The family began to
mix in with the people there, who were into the worldly things, it did
not take long before Jacob's daughter Dinah got herself into some
trouble. And
Dinah the daughter of Leah, which she bare unto Jacob, went out to see
the daughters of the land. And when Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite,
prince of the country, saw her, he took her, and lay with her, and
defiled her. And his soul clave unto Dinah the daughter of Jacob, and he
loved the damsel, and spake kindly unto the damsel. And Shechem spake
unto his father Hamor, saying, Get me this damsel to wife. And Jacob
heard that he had defiled Dinah his daughter: now his sons were with his
cattle in the field: and Jacob held his peace until they were come. And
Hamor the father of Shechem went out unto Jacob to commune with him.
And the sons of Jacob came out of the field when they heard it: and the
men were grieved, and they were very wroth, because he had wrought folly
in Israel in lying with Jacob's daughter: which thing ought not to be
done. - Genesis 34:1-7.

The first mistake was that God had directed Jacob to Bethel, but he settled in Shechem, the second mistake was Dinah
becoming friends with these worldly girls. There is an old saying, You
are who you get around. No matter how godly you are if you get around
corruption it will take hold of you and cause you to walk into it. We
can not avoid the world completely, but we can be separated from it. Be
ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship
hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light
with darkness?..Wherefor e come out from among them, and be ye separate,
saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. - II Corinthians 6:14,17.

When we follow God's path we get where we need to be a lot quicker, but
if we stop or get directed in another direction it always leads to
problems, not only for ourselves, but others as well. It took Dinah's
sin to cause her brothers to sin. And
it came to pass on the third day, when they were sore, that two of the
sons of Jacob, Simeon and Levi, Dinah's brethren, took each man his
sword, and came upon the city boldly, and slew all the males...And Jacob
said to Simeon and Levi, Ye have troubled me to make me to stink among
the inhabitants of the land, among the Canaanites and the Perizzites:
and I being few in number, they shall gather themselves together against
me, and slay me; and I shall be destroyed, I and my house. And they
said, Should he deal with our sister as with an harlot? - Genesis 34:25,30,31.

When Dinah's brothers heard that Shechem defiled their sister they
wanted revenge, but they did not stop to think about the consequences of
it. First, while it was sinful for Shechem to defile their sister, she
had a part in it also. Second, they took it upon themselves to cause
judgment upon not only Shechem, but everyone in that town, creating even
more problems. We are no judge to the sinner, for we all are sinners. Christ is the judge of all will deal with us accordingly. But
why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy
brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. Romans 14:10,11.
Now, Jacob was pretty fearful of God after all that had happened, I
imagine he was wondering what God would do to them. After all, He had
not heard from Him is quite some time, but now God speaks. And
God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there: and make
there an altar unto God, that appeared unto thee when thou fleddest from
the face of Esau thy brother. Then
Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away
the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your
garments: And let us arise, and go up to Bethel; and I will make there
an altar unto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was
with me in the way which I went. And they gave unto Jacob all the
strange gods which were in their hand, and all their earrings which were
in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the oak which was by
Shechem...And God appeared unto Jacob again, when he came out of
Padanaram, and blessed him. And God said unto him, Thy name is Jacob:
thy name shall not be called any more Jacob, but Israel shall be thy
name: and he called his name Israel. And God said unto him, I am God
Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations
shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins; - Genesis 35:1-4,9-11.
God will allow us to take that wrong path, He will even allow us to
stay in it a while, He waits until we have gone so far before He says,
Okay, listen to me now! There
is no perfect communion with God until all the idols are put away, we
come into His presence, and allow Him to direct our paths.
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In
all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not
wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. - Proverbs 3:5-7.

Chapter 36 is an account to the descendants of Esau, Now
these are the generations of Esau, who is Edom...And Esau took his
wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his
house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his substance, which
he had got in the land of Canaan; and went into the country from the
face of his brother Jacob. For their riches were more than that they
might dwell together; and the land wherein they were strangers could not
bear them because of their cattle. - Genesis 36:1,6,7.

While Esau was not the blessed son who would become the father of God's
nations it was important that God address them as later on we will see
what part they played in the Israelites lives centuries later. The word
Edom means, red pottage, it was in remembrance of the foolish bargain
that Esau made with Jacob and sold his birth right over a bowl of red
pottage. We can thank God that even if we took some crooked paths, He
will never forget is promise to those who put their trust in His Son,
even if we have made some foolish bargains that made those paths
crooked. Wherefore
we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace,
whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: - Hebrews 12:28. Praise God!

Jesus Christ Revealed: Jesus is revealed as God Almighty. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.-Revelation 1:8.

Wrestle With God

God is a forgiving God, He does not want to stay angry with us or even
make us suffer for our past sins. When He says we are forgiven, He
means we are forgiven. The Bible says, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.- I John 1:9.
So, why don't we feel any better about ourselves after we
repent? We need closure, something that makes amends to the wrongs that
we have done. Sometimes, the only way to get that closure is to wrestle
with God, what I mean is confront Him face to face. Tell Him how you
feel and let Him show you how to make amends not only between God and
yourself, but with anyone or thing that keeps haunting you.
Jacob did not always do things the way God wanted him to, although God
blessed him with what He promised, at times he did seem to connive his
way into getting them. Not only did he have the guilt of deceiving Esau
in the back of his head he also had the guilt of deceiving Laban,
although he did not really deceive him. Laban and his sons eventually
became hostile and envious of Jacob's prosperity, they assumed that
Jacob had employed unfair manipulation to gain their father's riches.
So, by God's command, Jacob, his wives, children, arose up in the night,
took all they had and headed for Canaan without telling Laban. Then
Jacob rose up, and set his sons and his wives upon camels; And he
carried away all his cattle, and all his goods which he had gotten, the
cattle of his getting, which he had gotten in Padanaram, for to go to
Isaac his father in the land of Canaan. And Laban went to shear his
sheep: and Rachel had stolen the images that were her father's. And
Jacob stole away unawares to Laban the Syrian, in that he told him not
that he fled. So he fled with all that he had; and he rose up, and
passed over the river, and set his face toward the mount Gilead. - Genesis 31:17-21.
The safety of believers under trying circumstances is much due to the hold
God has on the consciences of wicked men. In the path of obedience, we
may count on God's care. We do not need to wrestle or fight with those
who deceive us. While the believer may resent injuries, he is not to
avenge them, but remember that God is the avenger. Dearly
beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for
it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the
Lord...Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him
drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. - Romans 12:19,20.
On their way back to the land of Canaan, Jacob discovered that his
brother, Esau, was coming to meet up with him with 400 men. Fearing the
worst, (seeing no visible hope of survival for himself and his family)
he began praying to God. And
Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, the
LORD which saidst unto me, Return unto thy country, and to thy kindred,
and I will deal well with thee: I am not worthy of the least of all the
mercies, and of all the truth, which thou hast shewed unto thy servant;
for with my staff I passed over this Jordan; and now I am become two
bands. Deliver me, I pray thee, from the hand of my brother, from the
hand of Esau: for I fear him, lest he will come and smite me, and the
mother with the children. - Genesis 32:9-11.
Sometimes we just have to beg and plead with God, confront Him with what He has
promised. You can talk to God without disrespecting Him, He knows your
frustration and even that you question His way of doing things from time
to time. He likes you to remind Him of His promises, which tells Him
that you reading and studying His Word. Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. - Hebrews 10:35-37.
Still a little fearful, Jacob hastily divided his wives, children, and flocks
into two groups, reasoning that if Esau should come upon one camp and
destroy it, the remaining camp would escape in the opposite direction.
Later that night, Jacob literally wrestled with God. And
Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the
breaking of the day. And when he saw that he prevailed not against him,
he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was
out of joint, as he wrestled with him. And he said, Let me go, for the
day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.
And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. And he
said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a
prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. - Genesis 32:24-28.
Jacob in a sense confronted and wrestled with his fears, he was not
about to give up the fight. He did not let go until God blessed him.
When God realized that Jacob was not giving up on Him and would not stop
until He blessed him He, in fact, blessed him, also changing his name
to Israel, which means "Prince with God". Jacob is an example of just
how often we have set our heart to do God's will only to discover how
weak and insufficient we are to do it without Him. Let
your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such
things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor
forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I
will not fear what man shall do unto me. - Hebrews 13:5,6.

The time had come for Jacob to meet Esau face to face, And
he passed over before them, and bowed himself to the ground seven
times, until he came near to his brother. And Esau ran to meet him, and
embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him: and they wept. And
he lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children; and said, Who
are those with thee? And he said, The children which God hath
graciously given thy servant...So Esau returned that day on his way unto
Seir. And Jacob journeyed to Succoth, and built him an house, and made
booths for his cattle: therefore the name of the place is called
Succoth. And Jacob came to Shalem, a city of Shechem, which is in the
land of Canaan, when he came from Padanaram; and pitched his tent before
the city. - Genesis 33:3-5,16-18.
Jacob and Esau found peace and forgiveness with each other, Jacob no
longer had to wrestle with his conscience, and he is at peace with Esau
and with God. Either we lean on God or on our own plans. The arrangements of unbelief and impatience prevent God from blessing us, He must bring us to the end of
our own strength before He strengthens us through Christ, who will bring
the blessings. To be alone with Christ is the only way to arrive at a
knowledge of ourselves and our ways. Jacob wrestled with himself and it
was not until he confronted God face to face that God has respect for
him. It is not God that you are actually wrestling with, it's guilt,
shame, or anger, it's actually the devil who wants you to dwell on the
things of the past, not God. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world,
against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the
whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day,
and having done all, to stand. - Ephesians 6:12,13.
Jesus Christ Revealed: Jesus Christ is revealed through the angel of God, Jesus is the mediator between you and God. But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. - Hebrews 8:6.

Godly Profit

It is amazing when you see God bless the faithful servant, what is
even more amazing is that while the servant is being blessed most people
around them are blessed as well, even if they have no interest in God.
The sad thing is that most of the time they are too proud to admit that
God did have a hand in their success. Sooner or later God will take His
servant elsewhere to be used leaving the unbeliever envious and even
stooping to deceive the person. The Bible says, For
bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all
things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to
come. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation. For
therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the
living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that
believe. - I Timothy 4:8-10.

Laban was Rebekah's brother, after all the issues between Isaac and
Jacob came to pass, Isaac blessed Jacob as he rightfully should have and
sent him to Laban's to find a wife. Isaac
called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said unto him, Thou
shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan. Arise, go to
Padanaram, to the house of Bethuel thy mother's father; and take thee a
wife from thence of the daughers of Laban thy mother's brother. And God
Almighty bless thee, and make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, that
thou mayest be a multitude of people; And give thee the blessing of
Abraham, to thee, and to thy seed with thee; that thou mayest inherit
the land wherein thou art a stranger, which God gave unto Abraham. - Genesis 28:1-4.

It is important that we choose a spouse that is godly, nothing good
comes out of the marriage unless somehow you can convert the unbelieving
spouse, but it is better to choose wisely instead of what looks good on
the eyes. Be
ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship
hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light
with darkness?.. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate,
saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive
you. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and
daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. - II Corinthians 6:14,17,18.

As Jacob was heading toward Padanaram he had no idea where he was
headed, unlike Abraham and Isaac they had God guiding them, but Jacob
knew he was leaving because he deceived his brother and now feared for
his life. However, he did not realize was that God was, in fact, guiding
him. “And
he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because
the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them
for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep. And he dreamed,
and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to
heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.
And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of
Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest,
to thee will I give it, and to thy seed; And thy seed shall be as the
dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the
east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed
shall all the families of the earth be blessed. And, behold, I am with
thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will
bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have
done that which I have spoken to thee of. And Jacob awaked out of his
sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not. - Genesis28:11-16.

Jacob had blessings promised both as to this world and that which is
to come, yet goes out to a hard service. This corrected him for the
fraud committed on his father and brother. We can all get out of the
will of God from time to time, but that does not mean that God has
walked away from us. He might let us suffer a bit, but He is always
watching over us and when the time is right He will, show Himself. Let
your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such
things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor
forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I
will not fear what man shall do unto me. -Hebrews 13:5,6.

Jacob arrives in Padanaram and soon after he sees Rachel, Laban's
youngest daughter. He agrees to serve him seven years in order to wed
his daughter. After the seven years Jacob seeks his wife only to be
deceived by Laban. And
Laban had two daughters: the name of the elder was Leah, and the name
of the younger was Rachel. Leah was tender eyed; but Rachel was
beautiful and well favoured. And Jacob loved Rachel; and said, I will
serve thee seven years for Rachel thy younger daughter...And Laban gave
unto his daughter Leah Zilpah his maid for an handmaid. And it came to
pass, that in the morning, behold, it was Leah: and he said to Laban,
What is this thou hast done unto me? did not I serve with thee for
Rachel? wherefore then hast thou beguiled me? And Laban said, It must
not be so done in our country, to give the younger before the firstborn.
Fulfil her week, and we will give thee this also for the service which
thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years. - Genesis 29:16-18,24- 27.

Jacob faithfully agreed to serve Laban another seven years, wherever
we are, it is good to employ ourselves in some useful business. Laban
was desirous that Jacob should continue with him. Jacob made known to
Laban the affection he had for his daughter Rachel. Having no worldly
goods with which to endow her, he promises seven more years of service,
love makes long and hard services short and easy. For
God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye
have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints,
and do minister.
- Hebrews 6:10. Laban was blessed tremendously when Jacob was serving
him, now the time had come for him to leave, but Laban still pressured
him to stay, he knew that the blessings he received were due to God
blessing Jacob. And
Laban said unto him, I pray thee, if I have found favour in thine eyes,
tarry: for I have learned by experience that the LORD hath blessed me
for thy sake. And he said, Appoint me thy wages, and I will give it. And
he said unto him, Thou knowest how I have served thee, and how thy
cattle was with me. For it was little which thou hadst before I came,
and it is now increased unto a multitude; and the LORD hath blessed thee
since my coming: and now when shall I provide for mine own house also?
- Genesis 30:27-30.
Worldly men, who choose their portion in this life, are often blessed
with an abundance of this world's goods. Godly men are blessings to the
places where they live, even God often blesses ungodly men with outward
mercies for the sake of their godly relations. The
toiling and scheming of men is the result of ignorance of God's Grace,
and inability to put confidence in God's promises. However, those who
remain faithful in what is another man's shall be entrusted with something of his own, even more abundantly.
The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked
is wrath. There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is
that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. The
liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered
also himself. - Proverbs 11:23-25.

Jesus Christ Revealed: Jesus Christ is revealed through Joseph, who was born to save and preserve his people.
And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me
unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. - II Timothy 4:18.

Human Reasoning
When God makes a promise to us He keeps it, we do not have to help Him
out, all we have to do is be faithful, do what He asks, and wait
patiently for Him. Yet many obtain God's promises or even try to change
them by their own human reasoning. The Bible says,For
to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life
and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not
subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are
in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the
Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man
have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. - Romans 8:6-9. The word carnal means to be characterized by the flesh or the body, not spiritual, and worldly. If we are honest with ourselves we
all have to admit that we have a little bit of a carnal mind from time
to time. That carnal mind is what can get us into trouble, even if we do
it for good reasons.
Isaac, the promised seed of Abraham was promised to be the seed of many
nations, when he was forty years old he and Rebekah were still
childless. Isaac begged God for a child as He promised and twenty years
later He did answer by giving them not one, but two children. And
Isaac intreated the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: and the
LORD was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived. And
the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so,
why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the LORD. And the LORD said
unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be
separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than
the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger. And when her
days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her
womb. And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and
they called his name Esau. And after that came his brother out, and his
hand took hold on Esau's heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac
was threescore years old when she bare them. - Genesis 25:21-26.

God told Rebekah that the first born would be weaker and serve his
younger brother. He mentioned two nations, meaning that they would both
be rulers of a nation and that younger child's nation who be stronger
and rule over the older child's. Now, as the children grew, Isaac
favored Esau, since Esau was the first born, he had birthrights to the
family, which included, among other things, being heir to the covenant
that God had made with Abraham. This birthright was the link in the line
of descendants through which the Promised Messiah was to come. However,
Esau had no desire to even fight for his birthright and gave it up for
food.
And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he was faint: And
Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage;
for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom. And Jacob said, Sell
me this day thy birthright. And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to
die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me? And Jacob said,
Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright
unto Jacob. Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he
did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his
birthright - Genesis 25:29-34.

Esau is a type of the man of the earth, in many respects a nobler man than
Jacob, yet the fact that he was destitute of faith caused him to despise
his birthright, easily giving it up for a mere bowl of soup. God;s
choice of His children does not depend on their character, or even what
family they have come from, but their faith. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. -Galatians 3:26.

We do not hear much about Isaac's life beyond being the seed that God
promised He would establish His covenant with. Much of this is due to
the fact that he tried to alter God's will by blessing Esau with what
should have been Jacob's. Since Rebekah never forgot what God told her
she came up with a scheme to get Isaac to bless Jacob instead. And Rebekah spake unto Jacob her son, saying, Behold, I heard thy father speak unto Esau thy brother, saying, Bring me venison, and make me savoury meat, that I may eat, and bless thee
before the LORD before my death. Now therefore, my son, obey my voice
according to that which I command thee...And she gave the savoury meat
and the bread, which she had prepared, into the hand of her son Jacob.
And he came unto his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am
I; who art thou, my son? And Jacob said unto his father, I am Esau thy
first born; I have done according as thou badest me: arise, I pray thee,
sit and eat of my venison, that thy soul may bless me...And Jacob went
near unto Isaac his father; and he felt him, and said, The voice is
Jacob's voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau. And he discerned him
not, because his hands were hairy, as his brother Esau's hands: so he
blessed him. - Genesis 27:6-8,17-19, 22,23.
The carnal mind is prone to scheme to bring about what God would do without any scheming at all. He does not need our cunning or deceit to accomplish His
purpose. Seek spiritual blessings in the right way or get with them
years of sorrow afterward. The
more pressing the temptation to take things out of His hands, the
richer will be the blessing of remaining in His hands and waiting for
them in His time. Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that
love him.- James 1:12.
It did not take long before Esau returned and threatened
to kill Jacob, this would be only the start of the suffering he had to
endure because he chose to obtain God's promise in a deceitful way. And
Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed
him: and Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are
at hand; then will I slay my brother Jacob. And
these words of Esau her elder son were told to Rebekah: and she sent
and called Jacob her younger son, and said unto him, Behold, thy brother
Esau, as touching thee, doth comfort himself, purposing to kill thee.
Now therefore, my son, obey my voice; arise, flee thou to Laban my
brother to Haran; And tarry with him a few days, until thy brother's
fury turn away; - Genesis 27:41-44.
One only needs to read the history of Jacob to learn that it does not pay to take things into ones own hands. However, it is peculiarly comforting to see that God has ever been dealing with men of like passions as we are and patiently bearing with the same
failures. When the believer falls, God is still with him. One cannot
always judge of a believer;s spiritual condition by their circumstances,
but God has a purpose in all His dealings.
Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: That
in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in
one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on
earth; even in him: In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being
predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things
after the counsel of his own will: That we should be to the praise of
his glory, who first trusted in Christ. - Ephesians 1:9-12.
Jesus Christ Revealed: Jesus is revealed as the spiritual Seed that would bless all nations. Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to
seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. - Galatians 3:16

GOOD NEWS
: A Consuming Fire

When you think of the word fire you probably imagine something burning
or maybe hell. The word fire also means intense passion and a
liveliness. Fire gives us warmth, light, and heat. The Bible says, “Wherefore
we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace,
whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For
our God is a consuming fire.- Hebrews 12:28,29.
To serve God means to be a help to Him, the word
reverence means to have respect for God. To have godly fear means to
acknowledge Him, and abide in His laws and wishes.
As Christians we are set apart from everyone else, we are children of
the living God. That is not something that everyone can claim, while God
is the Creator of all things, He only claims special people to be His
children. But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a
peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath
called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;- I Peter 2:9. Praise God! Since we are God's chosen we are to set a godly example for those who live in the world. Just as God is a consuming fire our hearts need to be a consuming fire, for Him, we are
to have an intense passion, a burning, and a liveliness for serving Him.

As Abraham was preparing to be a father, he remembered his nephew Lot
when he pleaded with God not to destroy Sodom if there was any righteous
in the land. Sodom was full of fornication, incest, and homosexuality
and it was for that reason that God was about to destroy it. God
harkened to his plea, He sent two of His angels to warn Lot and his
family to get out of there if they wanted to be saved. And
Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his
daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will
destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in
law. And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise,
take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be
consumed in the iniquity of the city. And while he lingered, the men
laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the
hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they
brought him forth, and set him without the city. And it came to pass,
when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy
life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape
to the mountain, lest thou be consumed...But his wife looked back from
behind him, and she became a pillar of salt. - Genesis 19:14-17,26.
The son-in-laws laughed at Lot and did not listen to him, Lot stopped
to look at all he was leaving, probably saddened that he was going to
lose everything he had. In his haste the angels pulled him to safety
along with his wife and daughters. The wife could not let go, she looked
back at all she was losing and in an instant she died. This is a
perfect illustration of salvation, if you are saved, even if you have
gotten away from God, He will pull you into His arms and save you from
hell when you die. If you look back and can not let go of your life and
you die without Christ then you will not be saved. Jesus said, Likewise
also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they
bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot
went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and
destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man
is revealed. In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his
stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that
is in the field, let him likewise not return back. Remember Lot's wife.
Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall
lose his life shall preserve it. - Luke 17:28-33.
Fearing for his life Lot took himself and his daughters to live in a
cave, perhaps he thought that by living in a cave instead of the city of
Zoar like God told him that his family would not be subject to any
wickedness as in Sodom. Little did he realize that his own daughters
would subject him to it. They got their father drunk and lay with him to preserve his lineage.
And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the mountain, and his two
daughters with him; for he feared to dwell in Zoar: and he dwelt in a
cave, he and his two daughters... Thus were both the daughters of Lot
with child by their father. And the first born bare a son, and called
his name Moab: the same is the father of the Moabites unto this day. And
the younger, she also bare a son, and called his name Benammi: the same
is the father of the children of Ammon unto this day.- Genesis 19:30,36-38.
Moab and Ammon became descendants of the Moabites and Ammonites who were perpetual enemies of the Israelites years later.

God despises wickedness committed by the flesh more than any. Why? Flee
fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he
that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body...For ye are
bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your
spirit, which are God's. - I Corinthians 6:18,20.
However, God will give anyone a chance to repent and turn from such a wicked life. Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless
and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and
profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for
manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for
menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other
thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;..This is a faithful saying,
and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to
save sinners; of whom I am chief. Howbeit for this cause I obtained
mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering,
for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life
everlasting. - I Timothy 1:9,10,15,16.
Abraham and Sarah, had advanced to an age in life when there could be
no human possibility of having a child. Abraham was 100 and Sarah 90
years old when God blessed them with a child. Then, Isaac, the miracle
child of promise, entered the family life of Abraham, Sarah, Hagar, and
Ishmael. "And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as
he had spoken. For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old
age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him. And Abraham called
the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him,
Isaac."- Genesis 21:1-3. The birth of Isaac was a loving and gracious
expression of the sovereign power of God but, more important, it was the
fulfillment of His Word and proof of the faithfulness of the
Covenant-keeping God.

Itis not enough to know who God is, we must be willing to accept Him into
our lives, which can only be done by accepting Jesus Christ as your
Savior. And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.- Colossians 3:23,24. Praise God!

Jesus Christ Revealed: Jesus Christ is revealed through Isaac, the promised son of God's Covenant. Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, They which are the children of
the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the
promise are counted for the seed. - Romans 9:7,8.

King James Daily Bible Study: Waiting Patiently For God
The Bible says, Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of
him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked
devices to pass...For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth;
and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off. The steps of a good
man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he
fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with
his hand.- Psalm 37:7,22-24. Let's face it, we all have done some things in life
because we were tired of waiting and gotten into some messes, having
regretted them afterward. You know, we should not count them as regret,
but as lessons learned. So, we messed up, we suffered a bit, but we can
not hold on to regret, we have to move forward, rest in the Lord, and
wait patiently for Him. He knows our heart, He also knows our flesh, He
hates our flesh, but He loves us, He knows we are going to mess up, but
He is there to catch us when we fall, every time we fall.
At the age of seventy-five God promised to Abram that He would make him
a father of so many that it would be like trying to count the stars in
the sky. And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in
my house is mine heir. And, behold, the word of the LORD came unto him,
saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out
of thine own bowels shall be thine heir. And he brought him forth
abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be
able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.- Genesis 15:3-5.
Now, years had come to pass and Abram still had no son, Sarai was well
above the age to have a child so, Sarai came up with a plan that would
give Abram a son. Now Sarai Abram's wife bare him no children: and she had an handmaid, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar. And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the LORD hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my
maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened
to the voice of Sarai. And Sarai Abram's wife took Hagar her maid the
Egyptian, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and
gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife. And he went in unto Hagar,
and she conceived: and when she saw that she had conceived, her
mistress was despised in her eyes.-Genesis 16:1-4.

Abram knew that God meant what He said, but instead of letting God make
the decision as to who would bare his seed, he chose to listen to the
influence of Sarai. You know, they say that a man is the head of the
house, but even when the world began women have been influencing men to
commit sin? Ladies, we have major power, but that does not mean that we
are to use that power to influence men in compromising situations. It is
very important that women realize that they are to be a help to their
men. Now, do not get me wrong, a man can have just as much influence on a
woman, I am proof of that, but it was no excuse for me to do what I
knew deep down was the wrong thing to do. While we are all responsible
for our own actions, God will hold those responsible for making others
commit sin accountable for that as well. Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession. - Proverbs 28:10.
Do you think God gave up on Abram because he went against His will? Of
course not. When God has a purpose for us He will use us, even if we
mess up sometimes. After they made a mess of things Abram went to God
and asked for forgiveness. And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying, As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many
nations. Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name
shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee...And
God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her
name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be. And I will bless her, and give
thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother
of nations; kings of people shall be of her. - Genesis 17:3-5,15,16.
Abraham means, father of many,
Sarah means little princess. One of the great tests of our faith is
waiting patiently for God. It may take two days, weeks, years, or as in
Abraham's situation, 25 years for our prayers to be answered or for God
to fulfill the promises He makes to us. Sometimes the reason God makes
us wait so long for what He promises is that we get in the way of His
plan. Every time we walk out of His will to help Him along with our own
reasoning He takes a step back. Abraham was 99 years old and Sarah was
90. Why do you think God waits until it looks impossible? To show that
with man some things are impossible, but with God all things are
possible. When Abraham asked God how it was possible for Sarah to bare a
child God said, Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return
unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.
When things look impossible to us they are possible to God. God really
does not want to see us suffer, He will do anything for anyone as long
as are willing to let Him guide us. He knows we are going to fall from
time to time, but He is right there with His hand ready to pull us back
up. I imagine sometimes we, even strong Christians, wonder if God hears
us, but He always hears our praises, prayers, and even our pleas. When
God was going to destroy Sodom, Abraham pleaded for God to spare the
town if there was anyone there righteous. And
the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and
because their sin is very grievous; I will go down now, and see whether
they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto
me; and if not, I will know...And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt
thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?...And he said, Oh let
not the LORD be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure
ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's
sake. - Genesis 18:20,21,23, 32.
God will turn His back to those living in sin, who wants to watch a
person committing sin, but He keeps an eye out from time to time to see
if there is any righteousness in them. He does not give up on anyone and
I will tell you what, He will try and try and try to find the
righteousness in a person. When the disciples asked Jesus who could be
saved Jesus answered, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. - Matthew 19:26b. Noting is impossible with God! Praise God!

Jesus Christ Revealed: Jesus is revealed through the seed of Isaac, in which God would establish covenant. Byfaith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, Of whom it was
said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: Accounting that God was
able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received
him in a figure. - Hebrews 11:17-19.

GOOD NEWS
Too Good To Be True

Did you ever see something unbelievable happen and think, that is just
too good to be true? Most of the time it is, in fact, too good to be
true, but once in a while the unbelievable does truly happen and you can
not help, but say, Praise God! because you know He is the only one
who could have made that happen. There is also someone else capable of
making some unbelievable things happen, but he does not do it to help
you, he does it to deceive and hurt you. That someone is Satan and he is
really good about making it look as though something unbelievable
happened, and that is when it is too good to be true. How can we tell if
it is God or Satan? The Bible says, Yea,
a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith
without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Thou
believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also
believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without
works is dead? -James 2:18-20.

The truth is this, we need to work to see the unbelievable happen,
while having faith is important we still need to do a little work on our
part. Lot was Abram's nephew, both were prosperous and rich, there was
so much substance between them that it caused some strife. Abram came up
with a solution, Is
not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me:
if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if
thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left. And Lot
lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well
watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even
as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto
Zoar. Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed
east: and they separated themselves the one from the other. Abram
dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the
plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom.- Genesis 13:9-12.

When Lot saw that beautiful land and that it was already taken care of
he did not stop to think where he was headed, he became so blinded by
what he saw that he never stopped to think if there would be dangers
ahead. We too can become blinded by things that we see, that is why it
is so important that we play close attention to things that look to good
to be true because usually Satan is behind it. Be
sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring
lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in
the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your
brethren that are in the world. - I Peter 5:8,9.

Sometimes God will keep us from seeing the unbelievable happen because
we have done something that hindered Him. When God told Abram to leave
his country and everyone there He meant that he was to leave everyone
there, but he brought Lot with him. That decision hindered God from
giving him the blessings he had for him, it was not until Abram
separated from Lot that God showed him the blessings. “And
the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift
up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and
southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou
seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever. And I will make
thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust
of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered. Arise, walk through
the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give
it unto thee. Then Abram removed his tent, and came and dwelt in the
plain of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and built there an altar unto the
LORD. - Genesis 13:14-18.

Lot probably thought that God blessed him with that beautiful land, he
soon found out that that beautiful land was no blessing from God, it
was of Satan, full of corruption and wickedness. He ended up being
captured during a war. And
they took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their victuals,
and went their way. And they took Lot, Abram's brother's son, who dwelt
in Sodom, and his goods, and departed. - Genesis 14:11,12.

The amazing thing about God is that He will give us so many chances to
see the unbelievable happen in hopes that we will see that it truly is
Him. Sadly, not many acknowledge Him, but those who do come to realize
that everything is a blessing from God. When Abram heard that Lot was
captured he did not dote about it, he went to help and freed Lot. Later
on God spoke to Abram, After
these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying,
Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward...In
the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed
have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river,
the river Euphrates: - Genesis 15:1,18.

God has much to give us, but we first need to trust in His timing,
have faith in Him, and get to work. The land that God gave Abram was
kind of desolate and had heathens living on it, but Abram did not
complain, the first thing he did was build an altar to God.

While God may give us some things that we do not have to work for most
of the time He is going to give us something that needs some work. God
can make the unbelievable happen, not to destroy us, but to help us grow
and prosper, there is nothing that God will not do for those who put
their faith and trust in Him and do a little work for Him. Why? So, that
we depend on Him, acknowledge Him, and become a testimony. Everything
we go through in life is for God's glory, not ours, we just reap the
benefits from it. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
- Romans 8:28. Praise God! What kind of work? Get in His Word, pray for
others, tell people about Jesus, get involved in the ministry, give
tithe, help others. There are so many things we can do to show God we
love Him and He will show us His love by blessing us with something
unbelievable. Verily,
verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do
shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go
unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do,
that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing
in my name, I will do it. - John 14:12-14.

Jesus Christ Revealed: Jesus is revealed through the high priest, Melchizedek, who brought Abram bread and wine (14:18). Jesus is our high priest, And
being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all
them that obey him; Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec. - Hebrews 5:9,10.

GOOD NEWS
Foolish Decisions

We all want to succeed in life, there is nothing more satisfying than
accomplishing something we worked so hard at achieving, but we have to
be careful in what ways we set out to accomplish what we are trying to
accomplish. We may not realize it, but the decisions we make in life not
only affect us, they everyone else around us as well. Of course, we are
going to make so foolish decisions once in a while, but there is a
difference between being a fool and just making some foolish choices.
The Bible says, The
desire accomplished is sweet to the soul: but it is abomination to
fools to depart from evil. He that walketh with wise men shall be wise:
but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. Evil pursueth sinners: but
to the righteous good shall be repayed. - Proverbs 13:19-21.

A fool is a person who lacks judgment or sense, tricks or deceives people, or tries to
make others look foolish.
No
matter who you are or what family you come from you are always going to
have one black sheep in the family, a person who thinks they know
everything, never wants to obey any kind of rule, and wants to deceive
everyone to get ahead in life. When Ham dishonored his father he had no
idea the affect it would have on future generations of his, that one
foolish decision paved the way for generations of fools rebelling from
the one true God and creating their own. And
the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan...And Cush
begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. He was a mighty
hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty
hunter before the LORD. And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and
Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.- Genesis 10:6,8-10.

Nimrod was a great man in his day, he began to be mighty upon the
earth, he was good with his hunting, not only the wild beasts, but the
affections of his neighbors, and got to be their prince. He became a
mighty hunter, a violent invader of his neighbor's rights and
properties. Nimrod established the first world empire and ruled it, the
city was known as the city of Babel (Babylon). He thought himself a
mighty prince, but before God, he was but, a fool. With Nimrod as their
leader he convinced them to build a city and tower that could reach up
to heaven. And
they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them
thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.
And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may
reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered
abroad upon the face of the whole earth. And the LORD came down to see
the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. And the LORD
said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and
this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them,
which they have imagined to do. Go to, let us go down, and there
confound their language, that they may not understand one another's
speech. - Genesis 11:3-7.

It is fitting that a man that had no interest in God would be trying to
claim he was trying to reach Him. His ambition to build a tower had
nothing to do with trying to reach the throne of the Almighty God, it
meant that his desire was to make himself and his followers rulers of
the world. God dealt with this rebellion by dividing the people into
nations and giving them different languages. God does the same today by
only letting the saved understand His Word. Jesus said, “And
he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the
kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are
done in parables: That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and
hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should
be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. - Mark 4:11,12.

Fools enjoy what they think are victories for a season, but in the end
it is the wise, those who put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ that
get the victory. Incidentally, you will often here God say, Let us...
This does not mean that He is referring to other gods, God is referring
Himself through the Godhead, God the Father, God the Son, who is the
Word made flesh, and God the Holy Spirit. In
the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was
God...And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld
his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of
grace and truth. - John 1:1,14.

You know, before the Bible, these people did not have a book to guide
them and teach them about God. Instead they had to rely totally on their
faith, not knowing what the future might hold. Of course they made
mistakes, but it was through those mistakes that they learned to trust
only God. Shems descendents would be the lineage of the Jews, These
are the generations of Shem: Shem was an hundred years old, and begat
Arphaxad two years after the flood:. And Terah lived seventy years, and
begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran. -Genesis 11:10,26. Abram, which means exalted
father, was chosen by God to become the father His people. “Now
the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy
kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew
thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and
make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless
them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall
all families of the earth be blessed. - Genesis 12:1-3.

Abram responded to God's call and by faith gave up his country, home,
and friends trusting in Him to guide the way. Of course, being blessed
to be the father of a great nation did not mean that he was not going to
make any foolish decisions once in a while. During a famine Abram and
Sarai headed for a place where they could go for food. “And
it came to pass, when he was come near to enter into Egypt, that he
said unto Sarai his wife, Behold now, I know that thou art a fair woman
to look upon: Therefore it shall come to pass, when the Egyptians shall
see thee, that they shall say, This is his wife: and they will kill me,
but they will save thee alive. Say, I pray thee, thou art my sister:
that it may be well with me for thy sake; and my soul shall live because
of thee. - Genesis 12:10-13.

Abram not only committed sin when he hid the truth, he also exposed his
wife and the Egyptians to sin. The grace Abram was most noted for, was
faith, yet he fell through unbelief and distrust of the Divine, even
after God had appeared to him twice. What will become of weak faith,
when strong faith is shaken! If God did not deliver us so many times out
of the messes we bring ourselves into, by our own sin and folly, we
would be ruined. Praise God that even when we do make some foolish
decisions and go to Him He is always faithful to those who just humble
themselves and ask Him for forgiveness. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and
just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
- I John 1:9. When you mess up, don't be afraid, just admit it, the
amazing thing about God is that He loves to fix our messes and He will
as long as we ask Him for help. Praise God!

Jesus Christ Revealed: Jesus is revealed as the Promised Seed of Abram, “Now
to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to
seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.- Galatians 3:16.

God Bless You, I am praying for you

King James Daily Bible Study: Get On The Ark

An ark is a place of protection and security,
Noah was commanded to build an ark as a place of protection from the
flood, God commanded the Israelites to build an ark that would protect
the only two tablets of stone containing the ten commandments, the only
words written by the finger of God. When the disciples were in the
middle of a storm on a ship fearing for their lives Jesus was there, “And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.” - Mark 4:39. When Paul was on a ship to Rome during a storm he said, “Except these abide in the ship, ye cannot be saved.”
- Acts 27:31. We as Christians are protected by an ark, a ship bigger
than anything hands from man can build, an ark that gives us peace,
protection, and security. That ark is none other than our Lord Jesus
Christ. Unless we abide in Him we can not be saved.

When God told Noah to build an ark he had no idea what He was talking
about when He said He was going to make it rain, they never saw rain in
their life. He did not question God and by faith did what He commanded.
When all the work was complete and they boarded the ark they saw rain, “In
the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the
seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the
great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. And
the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights. In the
selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of
Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into
the ark; They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after
their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after
his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort.” - Genesis 7:11-14.

Noah
may not have known it at the time, but the ark he built was a
foreshadow of Christ, everyone who got on the ark was saved from death.
By faith Noah did what God commanded and God did exactly what He
promised He would do. He saved them. “But
without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God
must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that
diligently seek him. By
faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with
fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he
condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by
faith.” - Hebrews 11:6,7. Likewise everyone that goes to Christ by faith is saved from death. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:” - Ephesians 2:8

After the flood subsided and life was coming back to the earth, Noah
and everything on the ark got off, the first thing Noah did was build an
altar, the first altar recorded in the Bible. “And
Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and
of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. And the
LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not
again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of
man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more
every thing living, as I have done. While the earth remaineth, seedtime
and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night
shall not cease.” - Genesis 8:20-22.

An altar is a place to worship, thank God for what He has given us, and
to get right with Him. When everything seems to be falling apart and
you can not even find the strength to pray that is when you need to come
to the altar and give yourself completely to God. “I
beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present
your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is
your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye
transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that
good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. For I say, through the
grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of
himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly,
according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.” - Romans 12:1-3.

We are to present ourselves as a living sacrifice, that means we are to
stop thinking about ourselves and start thinking about what God wants
from us. To do that it is important that we remain sober, being sober
means we have self control, self control means we have an easier time
presenting ourselves as a living sacrifice. Drunkenness, can bring down
the most faithful servant, it brought down Noah. “And
he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his
tent. And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father,
and told his two brethren without. And Shem and Japheth took a garment,
and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered
the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they
saw not their father's nakedness.” - Genesis 9:21-23.

The
drunkenness of Noah is recorded in the Bible, with that fairness which
is found only in the Scripture, to show that the best of men cannot
stand upright, unless they depend upon Divine grace. Observe the great
evil of the sin of drunkenness, it discovers men, what infirmities they
have, they betray when they are drunk, secrets are exposed. It disgraces
men and shames them. Ham was quick to expose his father weakness,
perhaps to even his grandson as well, but Shem and Japheth, respecting
their father, covered him up, careful not even look at him in his
weakness. Because of Ham's disrespect his famoly will be forever cursed.
“And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him. And
he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his
brethren. And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall
be his servant. God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the
tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.” -Genesis 9:24-27.

Noah
declares a curse on Canaan, the son of Ham, a servant of servants shall
he be, even to his brethren. Blessed be the Lord God of Shem, of him
came the Jews, who were, for a great while, the only professing people
God had in the world. Noah also blesses Japheth, and, in him, the isles
of the Gentiles that were peopled by his seed. Noah lived to see two
worlds, but being an heir of the righteousness which is by faith, he now
rests in hope, waiting to see am even better world along with all whom
have gotten on the Ark and are protected and preserved in Jesus Christ.
Praise God! “Wherefore
gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the
grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;” - I Peter 1:13.

The blessings of God is the cause of our following His commands, some
people have such a hard time following commands of any kind, they have
this mentality that they are above the law, whichever it may be, and can
do what ever they want and get away with it. It is no wonder why God
gets so angry at us? God preserved mankind simply by one man following
one command. Today, through one man God preserves mankind through His
Son, Jesus Christ, He truly is our life preserver. Once you get on the
Ark your life is preserved, never to be destroyed. “He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” - I John 5:12.

Jesus Christ Revealed: Jesus is revealed through the ark, “And
the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me
unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.” - II Timothy 4:18

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

GOOD NEWS
A New Heaven & Earth

As Christians, when we are facing trials it can be a little trying on
our faith, especially when we are doing everything right and it seems we
never get anywhere. We can get frustrated, discouraged, depressed,
sometimes get a little angry with God and question Him as to why He is
allowing it to happen. However, no matter what we are going through God
is with us, He uses every situation to strengthen us, grow us, bring us
closer to Him, and to show us that with His Son leading the way, nothing
is impossible. The Bible says, For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? - I John 5:4,5.

You are a child of God, you have the victory already, you are one of
His very own because you believe in His Son, Jesus Christ. He allowed
His only sinless Son to take the fault of your sins, He suffered and
shed His precious blood to give you life. He defeated death and arose
three days later to prove that even death can not defeat the power of
God. While we often suffer for things without sin, in the end we always
see victory through the power of God. Blessed
be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his
abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the
resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance
incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in
heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto
salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. - I Peter 1:3-5. Praise God!

Best of all, we receive a part of God's inheritance in the Kingdom of God.
Jesus reveals to John the victory that we can look forward to after
Judgment Day, And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And
I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of
heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great
voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men,
and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God
himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away
all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither
sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former
things are passed away. - Revelation 21:1-4.

While God does pour His wrath upon Satan and all who followed him,
those who put their faith in Jesus Christ get to look forward to true
paradise, a new heaven and earth, one with no more sorrow, suffering, or
pain, not even a remembrance of anything or anyone that hurt us over
the years. And
he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and
the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the
water of life freely. He
that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he
shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable,
and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all
liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and
brimstone: which is the second death. - Revelation 21:6-8.

The second death would be the death of the soul, when the spirit, the
life of the flesh, leaves the body this is the first death, what is left
is the soul, if the soul is not saved, it will be cast into the lake of
fire, hence, the second death. If the soul is saved it will go to
heaven and upon Judgment Day it will be united with it's body, a new
body, in fact, to live on the new earth, corrupt free. For
our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the
Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it
may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working
whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.- Philippians 3:20,21.

Now, Jesus gives John a glimpse of the Kingdom of God, And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was
there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded
her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing
of the nations. And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God
and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And
they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. And
there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of
the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for
ever and ever.- Revelation 22:1-5.

What a
sight! Streets of gold, crystal rivers, walls made from precious
stones, trees yielding endless fruit, above all freed from the sin curse
that we were all subject to just days after God created the earth. It's
not too late, Jesus is inviting all to come and join Him to the wedding
feast. And
the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come.
And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the
water of life freely. For
I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this
book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him
the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take
away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away
his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the
things which are written in this book. He which testifieth these things
saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. - Revelation 22:17-20.

Remember, the bride is the Church, the faithful members who make up
the body of Christ. All who believe in and ask Jesus to save them will
get to be a part of the new heaven and earth. Praise God! There is a
stern warning here to all those whom have taken out or added words to
His Word. Every word down to the very last thee and thou is in God's
Word for a particular reason, otherwise it would not have been in there.
Yes, we can do studies such as these, but these are studies on the
book, not rewriting the book it self. God rejoices at the fact that we
are discussing and learning about His Word together, He does not rejoice
at those who rewrite His Word to suit their own needs. Of course, we
can not read the Bible for a year and know everything about God, He did
not design it that way. He designed it so we read it year after year and
learn something new each time. We are truly blessed to know God's Word,
to know His mysteries and to see everything come to pass as prophesied.
But as it is written, Eye hath
not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the
things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath
revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all
things, yea, the deep things of God. - I Corinthians 2:9,10. Praise God!

Be blessed, enjoy the rest of your day/night and Happy New Year!

Creation & The Fall of Man
Happy New Year! The Bible says,
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was
God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by
him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.- John 1:1-3.
God created everything, everything that is made by man is
made from something God created, whether it is wood, plastic, metal, or
fluid, all things are made from something that God created.

The Book of Genesis is the first book of the Old Testament, contains
fifty chapters, and the time line is approximately between 4004 “ 1689
BC. The author of the book was Moses and it was first written to the
people of Israel. The purpose of the book was to preserve the historical
background of Israel and the record of creation, sin, redemption, and
God's first dealings with man. What we are to learn from the book is
that God is the creator of all things, and that His plan from the
beginning included all nations, not just Israel. And
God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their
kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and
God saw that it was good. And God said, Let us make man in our image,
after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea,
and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the
earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. - Genesis 1:25,26.

God created heaven, earth and everything on them in six days, In
the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was
without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And
the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters...And God blessed
them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish
the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea,
and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth
upon the earth. And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb
bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree,
in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be
for meat. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air,
and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life,
I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. And God saw
every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the
evening and the morning were the sixth day. - Genesis 1:1,2,28-31.

So many people try to claim that God did not create the earth and
everything on it in six days, but the truth is He did, six twenty-four
hour days. Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day?
If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.
- John 11:9,10.
That makes the earth approximately 6015 years old, not the six billion plus
like scientist claim. How can we know? There is no proven records
showing that there was life on earth anytime before that, the ice age,
the dinosaur age, and even so called cavemen days were all within the
6000 year span. All those machines used to calculate the age of the
earth, dinosaurs, etc, are doctored to make the scientist look as though
they know what they are talking about.
Becausethat, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were
thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart
was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And
changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to
corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping
things. -Romans 1:21-23.

Every person, every animal, and every plant, is unique and created in
it's own image, that means that it can in no way resemble or be made
from one another. It is the ignorance and corruptible imaginations of so
called wise men that try to convince the world that they came from some
animal or plant. Now, God did form man out of earth, but He formed us
in His own image and made us a living soul.
These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were
created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the
heavens,..And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and
breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living
soul.- Genesis 2:4,7.

God breathed into the nostrils of a lifeless piece of clay and in an
instant life was given to man, but it did not take long before that life
was taken away from him, the life of the soul that is. Even in paradise
the devil wormed his way into separating God from His people and life
to our souls.
And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth
know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and
ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that
the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a
tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and
did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. And
the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked;
and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. And they
heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of
the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the
LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. - Genesis 3:4-8

One simple act of disobedience caused a division between God and man
and a death sentence upon every living soul, the only way now to avoid
that sentence and be reconciled with man was to send a Redeemer. And
the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou
art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon
thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy
life: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy
seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his
heel.- Genesis 3:14,15. Satan did not reveal himself to Eve as the enemy of
God nor a wicked deceiver with the intent on destroying every enjoyment
of mankind. His intent was, and still is, to prevent man from obeying
God.

War is proclaimed between the Seed of the woman and the seed of the
serpent. It is the fruit of this enmity, that there is a continual
warfare between grace and corruption, in the hearts of God's people. A
gracious promise is made of Christ, as the Deliverer of fallen man from
the power of Satan. It speaks great encouragement to sinners, that their
Savior is the Seed of the woman, His sufferings and death point to
Satan's bruising His heel, but by His death He gave a fatal blow to the
devil's kingdom, a wound to the head of this serpent that cannot be
healed. As the Gospel gains, Satan falls. But
now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the
blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath
broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in
his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in
ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making
peace; -Ephesians 2:13-15. Praise God!

Jesus Christ Revealed: In Chapter 1 as the Creator, And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. - Colossians 1:17. And in Chapter 3 as the Seed of the woman, But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, - Galatians 4:4.

God Bless You, I am praying for you, have a blessed 2011.

GOOD NEWS
Message Title: The Antichrist
Christ like figure who will come to reign over the world before Christ returns.
Believe it or not, we do have antichrists walking around right now,
preachers, churches, religions are all over the world pretending that
they know Christ, but deceiving many with worldly temptations, talks of
peace, and an end to suffering. The Bible says, Love
not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man
love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in
the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the
pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world
passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God
abideth for ever. Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have
heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists;
whereby we know that it is the last time. - I John 2:15-18.

While many want to ignore the truth, we are closer than ever to Christ
returning, we can not associate ourselves with people, churches, and
religions that allow the world to come in, Of course, we want people to
come to know Christ and everyone is invited to know the truth, but we
must stand firm in the foundation of the truth and never let anyone
compromise that truth to fit in with the world. Jesus said,
Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For
there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew
great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall
deceive the very elect. - Matthew 24:23,24.
The antichrist is going to deceive many, true Christians as well,
therefore, it is important that we never loose sight of the truth nor be
afraid to tell it to others.
Rome is one of the most religious countries, proclaiming that Roman
Catholics represent Christianity. The Roman Catholic church is the most
deceitful religion there is, full of idolatry and the worship of the
virgin Mary, among other things. They know just enough of the Bible to
proclaim they know the truth, but Jesus reveals otherwise, the Roman
Catholic church will face judgment as well as every other false church,
known as Babylon.
And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and
talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the
judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: With
whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the
inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her
fornication. So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness:
and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of
blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed
in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones
and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and
filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written,
MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF
THE EARTH.- Revelation 17:1-5.

We first heard of Babylon in the Old Testament, it was the most
magnificent capital city of the ancient world, and its king,
Nebuchadnezzar, controlled the world. During his conquests, he destroyed
the kingdom of Judah, as well as the Temple of God and the city of
Jerusalem. BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS illustrates the
God-defying forces in politics and religion that will soon control the
world. This apostate federation of churches and world religions will
give full support to the one-world political and economic system which
will be ruled by the Antichrist.
The scarlet colored beast represents the close alliance that exists between
the world government and Babylon, who pretends to be the true Church. Eventually, this false super church will fiercely oppose the true Christ, For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. - II Corinthians 11:13,14.

Once the Antichrist has made a mess of things, the true Christ will return, And
the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no
kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These
have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them:
for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him
are called, and chosen, and faithful...For God hath put in their hearts
to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast,
until the words of God shall be fulfilled.
- Revelation 17:12-14. Christ will reign and put all enemies under his
feet. He is the King of kings, the Lord of lords. He has supreme
dominion and power over all things, all the powers of earth and hell are
subject to His control. His followers are called to this warfare, are
fitted for it, and will be faithful in it.

When Christ returns in His glory, vengeance is His and on every person who caused His people to be deceived by them.
And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having
great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And
he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is
fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold
of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For
all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and
the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the
merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her
delicacies.
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people,
that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her
plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered
her iniquities. Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her
double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to
her double. - Revelation 18:1-6.
God's people shall be called out of Babylon while those that partake
with wicked men in their sins, must receive of their plagues. As
we consider these events which will surely come to pass, we need to set
our hearts and minds on things above, knowing that the Lord is able to
sustain all who put their trust in Him. It's pretty scary to read these
chapters and realize just how much this book is becoming a reality.
However, we can be at peace knowing that in the midst of it all Jesus is
with us and All who accept Him into their lives will be saved from all
this destruction.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved - Romans 10:13.
So many of these prophecies are coming to pass as we speak, there are
mega churches popping up all over the world, so called
non-denominational churches bringing every religious background together
as one. While many will tell you that Christ will save you they do not
they do not tell you how He saves you. I attended a mega church for two
years, hundreds of people would go up to the altar to get saved, but
some of those same people were going up there the next week. There is
only one way to eternal life and that is by asking Christ personally to
save you. He died once, therefore you only have to ask Him once.
So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that
look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
- Hebrews 9:28.
Be blessed, enjoy the rest of your day/night and week.
God Bless You, I am praying for you
