*The Christian fools*

*Luke 24:25* - /And he said unto them, O foolish men, and slow of heart
to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!/

These days the most talked about religion is Christianity. It is not
because of the Christ like character which is seen in its people or the
glory of God shining in them, but people are discussing the ills of
Christianity.

Yesterday on BBC they were showing how people were praying to the lady
who is called Santa Muerte (Saint of Death). It is only because she is
dressed in women clothes like 'mother Mary' with bead chains around her
neck you figure it is a 'she', since that figure does not have skin or
flesh and is just plain skeleton. They showed people doing the same
traditions and prayers around it just as the Catholics do to their saints.

More than these idol followings of the Catholics today, the most talked
about is the end of the world and the rapture announcement by people of
the Believer Churches. We hear almost every week one or another Pastor
announces the last date for mankind. So much so, it has now become less
amusing and more an irritation and ridicule for Christians because
un-believers laugh at the Bible and point to these dates when someone
goes to share the Word with them. We also have many, many Christians the
world over who are almost ready to be zapped any time from the face of
this earth and hope to find themselves in Heaven any day.

In today's message the Lord is telling us the words which He spoke
calling these people 'foolish men' and 'slow of heart'. The Greek word
translated as foolish is '*anoetos*' which means lack of understanding.
The words slow of heart refer not to the human organ but to the inner man.

The reason why people lack understanding of the Bible is not because
they do not believe or study it. Many of these people who give these end
day dates or speak of rapture may give great understanding from the
scriptures to justify their thoughts but yet they make mistakes and the
reason the Lord tells us is they do not believe all the prophets.

People take a few scriptures here and there and build their house of
these few small rocks. Such people are referred to in scriptures as
people who dwell in the spiritual state called Samaria which symbolizes
rocky mountain. We are now in a period before the Church of God comes in
glory, where the Lord is going to make an example of these Samarians
along with (false) Jerusalem and Assyria (people who pursue earthly
prosperity).

The reason why these people dwell in Samaria is the same reason why Paul
gave for not giving solid food to the Corinthians but gave some to the
Hebrews and that was because they were slow of heart. Slow of heart
means being spiritually lethargic. These people may preach great sermons
but are far from doing what they preach. They are people who do not
exercise their faith. They may say long prayers and even shout at the
top of their voice and shake the congregation in between but their
communication with God is nil. Their spiritual discernment is like a
person going to the forest with just a candle in hand. They will not
know of danger until the wild animal is just over them and even at a
slight breeze their candle extinguishes and they become totally blind.
In short they are more carnal and less spiritual.

Let us understand when Jesus performed the transfiguration He took 3
persons with Him to witness it so that it would be confirmed by the
mouth of 3. The Gospel would have been recorded by one but the Lord
works by His principles and confirms everything by at least the mouth of
2 or 3. The Bible is structured in such a way that each and every major
event is recorded twice or thrice. Son witnesses for Himself, the Father
witnesses for Him and we too witness Him.

Let us not be slow of heart and a foolish nation but let us exercise our
inner-man and let us build our house firm on the one Rock by
understanding the whole Word and not on many small rocks.

*[/Prayer Starter/]*
Lord, You alone are Truth and the Rock of our Salvation. In your wisdom
knowing the weak and foolish man You gave us the Word designed in a way
that we will not be misled by the powers of this world. Your Word has
everything within its self and confirms all within itself. Lord, work on
our hearts and quicken it. In your Name we rebuke and bind the deaf and
dumb spirit which rules over the hearts of many Christians. May the
world know You alone are Truth and your Word is Truth...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

*[/Reference Scriptures/] *
*Mark 9:2-4*
2And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John,
and bringeth them up into a high mountain apart by themselves: and he
was transfigured before them;
3and his garments became glistering, exceeding white, so as no fuller on
earth can whiten them.
4And there appeared unto them Elijah with Moses: and they were talking
with Jesus.

*John 5:31-32*
31 If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.
32It is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness
which he witnesseth of me is true.

*John 8:17-18*
17Yea and in your law it is written, that the witness of two men is true.
18I am he that beareth witness of myself, and the Father that sent me
beareth witness of me.

*Luke 24:27*
27And beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he interpreted to
them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

*Isaiah 10:10-13*
10As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, whose graven images
did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria;
11shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to
Jerusalem and her idols?
12Wherefore it shall come to pass, that, when the Lord hath performed
his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit
of the stout heart of the king of Assyria [means earthly prosperity],
and the glory of his high looks.
13For he hath said, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my
wisdom; for I have understanding: and I have removed the bounds of the
peoples, and have robbed their treasures, and like a valiant man I have
brought down them that sit on thrones:

*Hebrew 5:12-14*
12For when by reason of the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need
again that some one teach you the rudiments of the first principles of
the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of
solid food.
13For every one that partaketh of milk is without experience of the word
of righteousness; for he is a babe.
14But solid food is for fullgrown men, even those who by reason of use
have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.

*1 Corinthians 3:1-3*
1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as
unto carnal, as unto babes in Christ.
2I fed you with milk, not with meat; for ye were not yet able to bear
it: nay, not even now are ye able;
3for ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you jealousy and
strife, are ye not carnal, and do ye not walk after the manner of men?

*The Word of Truth which bears Fruit*

*Colossians 1:6* -- /Which (the Word of Truth of the Gospel) is come
unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it
doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of
God in truth:/

When we give the Gospel to any person, many of us start getting worried
if that person will be saved or not?

We should realize that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is not just words.
When we tell someone about the hope in Jesus Christ we are speaking
active words. These words are instruments which start working in that
person even if he or she likes it or not.

If that person is healthy from inside, the Word will immediately start
to show fruit. But if the person has a lot on corruption inside then
even though we do not see any fruit we should not be fooled to think the
Word is not working. In such persons the Word starts to work on the
infected areas and either heals them or starts to prune.

Since it is the Word of the Living God it will always be active.
Depending on His mercy and the heart of the person the Word takes a slow
and soft approach or a fast and hard approach, but one thing is assured
the Word does do its work. In people in whom the infection is too large
and the person does not show resistance to the infection, in such
persons when pruned there remains nothing left of them and they become
calamities to vanity. Whatever may be the level of infection inside, if
that person shows even a small sign of resistance to the infection
(repentance) then the Word has the ability to heal and make new.
Therefore let us always remember the Gospel we share is a very powerful
Word which always brings result. We should also be thoughtful of the
state of that person and try to bring that person into a state of
repentance so that when the Gospel is given healing happens more than
pruning and not only the results are good but also the process is good.

*[/Prayer Starter/]*
Lord, You are a Living and Omnipotent God. Your Word is part of You and
cannot be separated from You. You gave us the Word that works in us and
will surely bring its result before returning to You. Lord, when we
speak unto others the Living Word, help us always remember your Word
will work towards bearing fruit in that person. Help us bring that
person to a state that they receive your Word more willingly with a
repent full heart so that Fruit shows in them. Lord, we give thanks and
praise for the work You are doing in those, whom You have used us to
give the Gospel of Jesus Christ...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

*[/Reference Scriptures/] *
*Colossians 1:3-6*
3 We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying
always for you,
4since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of your love for all
the saints;
5because of the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you
heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel,
6which has come to you, as it has also in all the world, and is bringing
forth fruit, as it is also among you since the day you heard and knew
the grace of God in truth;

*Hebrew 4:12-13*
12For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any
two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit,
of both joints and marrow, and quick to discern the thoughts and intents
of the heart.
13And there is no creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all
things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him with whom we have
to do.

*Let His Light shine*

*John 1:7,8* - *The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light,
that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent
to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which lighteth every
man that cometh into the world.*

When John the Baptist was born his father prophesized by the power of the
Holy Spirit that John would '*give light to them that sit in darkness and in
the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace*'. Yet in John
he is introduced as one who is a witness to the light but not the light.

How could one who gives light not be the light?

In today's message John the Apostle puts Jesus Christ as the true Light. We,
including John the Baptist and even John the Apostle are not the Light or
the source but we still give light unto others and are even call as the
light lamps. We emit the Light of Christ through us unto those around us.

This clearly shows that it is not our good deeds that needs to shine but the
good that God does through us that needs to shine.

In short a Christian is not a person who does good, but a person who allows
God to do good through him or her. It is not our efforts that count but we
allowing God to do His work through us that counts.

Today onwards let all at the end of the day not reflect on what good we have
done but let us look at if we allowed God to work through us for His glory,
did we become the light stand for Him to shine His Light through us?

*[Prayer Starter]*

Lord, You are or Father our Creator and You alone are our Provider. All
things come from You alone. You created everything and said it is very good.
It is our lacking that causes them to be misused and become bad. We by
ourselves will never be able to overcome the lacking, but by You and with
You we are make complete. Lord, use us in any and every way for your glory
and purpose...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

*[Reference Scriptures]*

*Luke 1:67-80*

67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied,
saying,

68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his
people,

69 And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his
servant David;

70 As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the
world began:

71 That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that
hate us;

72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy
covenant;

73 The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,

74 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of
our enemies might serve him without fear,

75 In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.

76 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou
shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;

77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their
sins,

78 Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high
hath visited us,

79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death,
to guide our feet into the way of peace.

80 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts
till the day of his shewing unto Israel.

*John 5:33-36*

33 Ye sent unto John, and he bare witness unto the truth.

34 But I receive not testimony from man: but these things I say, that ye
might be saved.

35 He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season
to rejoice in his light.

36 But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the
Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of
me, that the Father hath sent me.

*John 8:12*

12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world:
he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of
life.

R.D SOUZA Saved by faith - Page 35 Empty Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

*Submit to earthly authorities*

*1 Peter 2:13,14* - /Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the
Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; or unto governors,
as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and
for the praise of them that do well./

As a Christian we need to submit to the authorities that are set on us
like the councillors, ministers, police, prime minister, president etc.
As Peter puts it in today's message it is the Lord Who puts these people
over us for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who
do good.

Now, many would say, do we need to abide by those who are evil and are
set in those positions?

If one reads the book of Samuel the Israelite did not have anyone ruling
over them other than the Lord through Men of God but when they kept on
insisting that they want to have a human to lead them, the Lord set men
over His people. They got corrupt leaders because their hearts were not
right and these leaders persecuted and oppressed them.

When we see leaders not behaving like good leaders we the congregation
need to look inside us and see are we walking in the way of the Lord?

Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace and the Lord God is the giver of
Peace. Peace is not fought for, for it is not in any human's hands. If
we want peace we should be looking for it from the one who gives it and
if we be like Christ walking in His instructions we too will be like the
Prince of Peace having authority over peace.

Prosperity flourishes only where peace exist. To put us under the curse
of poverty Satan tries to take away our peace and make us concentrate on
cursing and complaining against those set over us. Instead of doing that
let us audit our own hearts and pray from the Lord's mercy and guidance
on ourselves and those with us.

The Bible does say as we grow in the Lord one day would come where again
Men of God would administer over His people.

*[/Prayer Starter/]*
Lord, You are our King and Lord. With You we do not need anyone to guide
or lead us. Since our foolish ancestors complained against You, You have
put humans over us. These humans have persecuted your people and at
times taken away the prosperity of many. Help is Lord to realize that
when we are in You abiding by your instructions no one else has power
over us and can affect our blessings in You. Instead of complaining help
us correct ourselves...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

*[/Reference Scriptures/] *
*1 Samuel 8:4-22*
4 Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together, and came
to Samuel unto Ramah,
5And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy
ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.
6But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to
judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the LORD.
7And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in
all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they
have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.
8According to all the works which they have done since the day that I
brought them up out of Egypt even unto this day, wherewith they have
forsaken me, and served other gods, so do they also unto thee.
9Now therefore hearken unto their voice: howbeit yet protest solemnly
unto them, and shew them the manner of the king that shall reign over them.
10And Samuel told all the words of the LORD unto the people that asked
of him a king.
11And he said, This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over
you: He will take your sons, and appoint them for himself, for his
chariots, and to be his horsemen; and some shall run before his chariots.
12And he will appoint him captains over thousands, and captains over
fifties; and will set them to ear his ground, and to reap his harvest,
and to make his instruments of war, and instruments of his chariots.
13And he will take your daughters to be confectionaries, and to be
cooks, and to be bakers.
14And he will take your fields, and your vineyards, and your oliveyards,
even the best of them, and give them to his servants.
15And he will take the tenth of your seed, and of your vineyards, and
give to his officers, and to his servants.
16And he will take your menservants, and your maidservants, and your
goodliest young men, and your asses, and put them to his work.
17He will take the tenth of your sheep: and ye shall be his servants.
18And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall
have chosen you; and the LORD will not hear you in that day.
19Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they
said, Nay; but we will have a king over us;
20That we also may be like all the nations; and that our king may judge
us, and go out before us, and fight our battles.
21And Samuel heard all the words of the people, and he rehearsed them in
the ears of the LORD.
22And the LORD said to Samuel, Hearken unto their voice, and make them a
king. And Samuel said unto the men of Israel, Go ye every man unto his
city.

*1 Corinthians 6:1-2*
1 Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the
unjust, and not before the saints?
2Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world
shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

R.D SOUZA Saved by faith - Page 35 Empty Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Post  Admin Fri 03 Jun 2011, 6:47 pm

*Why people leave the Church?*

*John 6:66 *- /Upon this many of his disciples went back, and walked no
more with him./

Today's message which coincidentally has the number 666 talks about
people who followed Jesus, listening to His teachings, been fed by Him,
healed by Him, yet left Him because of a statement they heard Him say.
After that they hated Him so much that they sought to kill Him and thus
Jesus for a period stopped visiting Judea.

Had Jesus not spoken to them about eating His flesh they would have
stayed with Him and continued to follow Him.

We as people of the world would have suggested to Jesus to continue and
give them time and slowly by slowly make them understand and then
possibly they would have accepted His teaching on the flesh.

Forget about that time even today if I walk into a congregation and give
a teaching on this very matter I am very sure more than half the
congregation would either throw me out or would walk out of that hall.

Many Pastors or Preachers refrain from giving people solid food for the
reason that they would lose their congregation. They continue feeding
them spiritual milk for years and years and therefore we find most
congregations filled with overgrown babies of 15yrs to 20yrs and above
in the Lord.

If we see, before Jesus spoke these words He had fed about five thousand
with just 5 loaves and 2 fishes, He walked on water, healed people etc.
Even after doing all these, yet just one statement caused them to
overwrite all these and walk away leaving Jesus.

It is not that we need to give people solid food in the start but
gradually build them with first milk and experiencing the glory of God
and then give them solid food. But not giving solid food at all may
cause you to have a very large congregation or lots of people to
fellowship with but then you are just fooling yourself by thinking you
are doing God's work.

Jesus said those who left Him were not His sheep for they were not given
from the Father therefore Jesus did not regret them leaving.

We need to ask ourselves how many among our congregation are really the
Lord's sheep? Even if they lift their hands up and praise God, they are
there only because they need healing, food, clothing, housing, job,
money, all in all they are concern with only physical earthly needs.

When we start telling them to give up their desires and live in the
desires of Jesus Christ we will hardly see people calling themselves
Christians. Unless we are ready to eat the flesh of Jesus which means to
make the desires of Jesus our own, we are not confirmed as the Lord's
sheep. Jesus says only His sheep follow Him.

Like the number of the scripture puts it, those who are not His sheep
leave for they are children not of the Lord but of Satan. We cannot be
the Lord's children as well as Satan's by saying Lord, Lord and still
having our hearts lost in the pleasures and desires of this world.

One day the Word of God will expose our heart, so let us today start not
to harden it and let us surrender ourselves to the Lord and being less
of ourselves let us be more of Him.

*[/Prayer Starter/]*
Lord, our flesh is weak but our spirit willing. Help us Lord that we not
be children of the flesh, born of the flesh and going to dust for the
flesh goes to dust. We are your children, children of your Spirit born
of the spirit, led by the Spirit and having eternal life, for from the
Spirit comes life...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

*[/Reference Scriptures/] *
*John 6:53-69*
53Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye
eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in
you.
54Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I
will raise him up at the last day.
55For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
56He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I
in him.
57As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he
that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
58This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers
did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for
ever.
59These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.
60Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This
is an hard saying; who can hear it?
61When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said
unto them, Doth this offend you?
62What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
63It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the
words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
64But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the
beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
65And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me,
except it were given unto him of my Father.
66From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more
with him.
67Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
68Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast
the words of eternal life.
69And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the
living God.

*Hebrew 5:12-14;6:1- 3*
12For when by reason of the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need
again that some one teach you the rudiments of the first principles of
the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of
solid food.
13For every one that partaketh of milk is without experience of the word
of righteousness; for he is a babe.
14But solid food is for fullgrown men, even those who by reason of use
have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.
1 Wherefore leaving the doctrine of the first principles of Christ, let
us press on unto perfection; not laying again a foundation of repentance
from dead works, and of faith toward God,
2of the teaching of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of
resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
3And this will we do, if God permit.

*Do not put God is your small world*
*John 11: 51, 52* - /And this spake he not of himself: but being high
priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;
And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in
one the children of God that were scattered abroad./
The biggest problem with most people not understanding scriptures is
that they try to put God into their small world.
In today's message, all the chief priests and the Pharisees were of one
mind concerning Jesus and the Jews but among them was one Caiaphas who
was the high priest that year who really paid attention to the words
which Jesus spoke. Although he did not believe in Jesus as Saviour yet
he knew Jesus had not come only for the Jews but for all the children of
God who were Jews and not Jews.
People take a few scriptures and make a world of these scriptures and
all their conclusions are based on just those few scriptures. They lose
the understanding of Who Jesus is and the Word of God because of these
many small worlds they have created.
For example they will talk of the end of the world being at hand and at
the same time talk of Jesus appearing as man and ruling the world for a
thousand years and therefore talk of rapture happening when Jesus comes.
I do not understand why people rapture when their King comes to rule?
Does Jesus as man rule only the wicked if the people of God all
disappear? What happens to Satan during these thousand years, is he
dealt with before or locked up and again released at the end and then
destroyed by Jesus and His Angels? Where does the beast and the false
prophet picture in these events? Does the false prophet come before or
after the thousand years?
In scriptures we read of the Lord rule which will be eternal so after
the thousand years if it stops, it goes against scriptures. During these
thousand years of rule scriptures talk of peace. If peace rules among
the evil people who are left behind after the rapture do they become
Christians or still deny Christ and yet have peace? If they become
Christians, do they too rapture at the end of the thousand years?
Scriptures do not talk about a second rapture. If not are they left at
the mercy of Satan and his army for the 3 and half years of great
destruction which scriptures talk of. When do Christians become sons of
God in all this? Paul talks about creation coming in obedience to man
when he becomes a son of God.
We have denominations because man has made many of these small worlds
and the confusion comes when they try to patch them together.
Jesus though born a Jew was the first person to openly speak against the
Jews. He is God and Saviour not of the Jews alone but of the whole
world. We are not children of God out of heredity but out of promise, we
inherit due to promise.
People do not realize the people who follow Judaism actually consider
Jesus as a false prophet and believe He is in hell suffering for the
blasphemes He committed. On the other hand Muslims respect Jesus as a
prophet and even given Him an important role in the end days of
destroying the Mahdi (the evil one similar to the false prophet in the
Bible). But in all this they have created a fictitious Jesus contrary to
the Bible so as to not prove the teachings of their prophet wrong.
Let us understand although the Bible has origins in the Middle East yet
it has to do with the whole of creation and it is to do with the whole
of mankind throughout generations.
*[/Prayer Starter/]*
Lord, man is far from You and suffers because he does not know You.
Lord, we pray You help us circumcise our hearts that we may come near
your Throne of mercy and be healed in our hearts. As we surrender
ourselves open our minds and bring us to know You...
This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.
*[/Reference Scriptures/] *
*John 11:47-54*
47Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said,
What do we? for this man doeth many miracles.
48If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans
shall come and take away both our place and nation.
49And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year,
said unto them, Ye know nothing at all,
50Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for
the people, and that the whole nation perish not.
51And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he
prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;
52And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together
in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.
53Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to
death.
54Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews; but went thence
unto a country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and
there continued with his disciples.
*Revelation 20:1-15*
1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the
bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
2And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil,
and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal
upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand
years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little
season.
4And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto
them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of
Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast,
neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads,
or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
5But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were
finished. This is the first resurrection.
6Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on
such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God
and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
7And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of
his prison,
8And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters
of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the
number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
8And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters
of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the
number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
9And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of
the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out
of heaven, and devoured them.
10And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and
brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be
tormented day and night for ever and ever.
11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose
face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place
for them.
12And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books
were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and
the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the
books, according to their works.
13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell
delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man
according to their works.
14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second
death.
15And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into
the lake of fire.

*Not a ghost but the Spirit of God*

*1 Corinthians 2:12* - /Now we have received, not the spirit of the
world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things
that are freely given to us of God./

Some of the translations use the word Holy Ghost for the Holy Spirit. In
the Bible we need to very careful of the words we use and what they mean.

The word ghost is defined as a spirit of a man who is dead.

Firstly although we have received the Spirit of Jesus Christ we have not
received the spirit of a man but the Spirit of God. Secondly by using
the word ghost we are declaring that Jesus Christ has not rising again.
Either way we are destroying our any hopes to salvation.

In today's message the Lord is telling us we have not received the
spirit of cosmos (translated as world). Like I wrote in one of my
previous mails cosmos is a name given to an order or system or power
which is earthly not necessary of planet earth but of the level of
creation in which we exist.

Because we have received the Spirit Who is beyond our system therefore
our thoughts and our ways are beyond the system. We being spiritual
truly judge everything yet we ourselves are not judged. If we get into
the grammar, our judging is basically that which is visual or earthly or
natural and that which is carnal or connected to the inner-man like
thoughts, character, attitude, will etc. With regards to spiritual
things we simple see things as they are as shown to us by the Spirit of
the Lord.

Like Paul writes the things which we give importance are not understood
by the people who have not received the Spirit of God.

Even if we believe in Jesus Christ and baptized in Him yet it is not
necessary that we have received the Holy Spirit. By believing we are
assured the promise of the Holy Spirit but receiving Him or not is our
choice.

In the book of Acts people were very clear if they received or not the
Holy Spirit and that is by seeing the manifestation of the gifts of the
Holy Spirit in them, like tongues or prophesy etc.

If we do not find these gifts in us and we have accepted Jesus Christ as
our Lord and Saviour then we just need to ask of Him while emptying
ourselves and we are assured the Spirit of God. Understand two masters
cannot live in a house so if we have the spirit of cosmos in us we will
not be able to receive the Spirit of God. So to receive the Spirit of
God let us reject the spirit of cosmos by the knowledge that things of
this world even if exist have no power over us. We living in this world
should not consider ourselves as citizens of this world but aliens or
expatriates.

*[/Prayer Starter/]*
Lord, You are Spirit and through your Son Jesus Christ we have received
your Spirit. It was through your Spirit that all things were created.
Holy Spirit, You alone know things of the Father for You are of the
Father. Grow in us, teach us, guide us and build us for our eternal home
in Heaven. While we are here in this world let us not be attached to
this world and lose You...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

*[/Reference Scriptures/] *
*1 Corinthians 2:9-16*
9But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have
entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for
them that love him.
10But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit
searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
11For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which
is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
12Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit
which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to
us of God.
13Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom
teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things
with spiritual.
14But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for
they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they
are spiritually discerned.
15But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged
of no man.
16For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But
we have the mind of Christ.

*Acts 2:2-4*
2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty
wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat
upon each of them.
4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with
other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

*Acts 10:44-48*
44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all them
which heard the word.
45And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many
as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the
gift of the Holy Spirit.
46For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered
Peter,
47Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which
have received the Holy Spirit as well as we?
48And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then
prayed they him to tarry certain days.

*1 Corinthians 12:7-11*
7But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit
withal.
8For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the
word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
9To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by
the same Spirit;
10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another
discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another
the interpretation of tongues:
11But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to
every man severally as he will.

*Ephesians 1:12-14*
12That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in
Christ.
13In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the
gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were
sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the
purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

*The Rapture*
*1 Corinthians 15:22,23* - /For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ
shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the
firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming./
These days after the end of the world the most discussed topic is the
rapture. Many people are misled that the people from the congregation
would suddenly disappear or taken up in the cloud like Paul puts it.
The only rapture that is happening since sometime and more often now is
the con preachers or ministry leaders who are disappearing with from the
face of churches while leaving the congregation out of money.
Since long I have held back commenting on the rapture but today the Lord
wants to send this message out so that His people are not misled or
walking in the dark like blind people.
All believers who sleep in Christ will wake up and those who exist
during the last day when Christ comes again on the clouds will stand
before Him for judgment. They would not be in flesh for the shout of the
Lord along with His Angels would have destroyed all physical creation.
All from the time of Noah till the last day who have been saved from
Hell would stand before His Judgment Throne and those who abide by His
Word would enter Heaven and those who do not would be put in the Lake of
Fire. This Lake of Fire is even worse than the Hell which the unsaved
were put for in Hell they suffered according to their sins, but here
there is uniform suffering for rejecting the Prince of Peace even after
knowing Him. In all this when is the rapture and who rapture?
The rapture or sudden taking away of people and they disappearing from
the face of the earth does happen before the coming of Jesus Christ in
His glory. The people who will be rapture are very specifically defined
and Jesus puts them as those who were working in the field and again as
those at the grinding stone. In today's message they are called the
First Fruits and in the book of Revelation they are also called the ones
who sing a New Song. In John 17 when Jesus was praying He said as those
who were given unto Him and in the Old Testament the Lord says from whom
He did not lose even one.
These who rapture are those who are the Elect whom God selected also
known as chosen ones to work in His Kingdom.
Throughout history these elect have been coming through in tinkles, but
during the end days there would be many of them among us. It is written
that among those working in Kingdom at that time nearly half would be
the elect. These elect are overcomers of the flesh and examples in each
Fruit of the 12 Fruits of the Holy Spirit and therefore called as chosen
from the 12 tribes of Princes of God (Israel).
It is only these Elect who exist at that time will rapture or be taken
off from the face of the earth. They rapture because they are the first
resurrection. These are the few who do not die the physical death and
come into their spiritual body as Angels along with the other Elect who
sleep in Christ. The numbers of them is given as 1,44,000 and are those
who come along with Jesus on the clouds to fight Satan (dragon and
beast), the false Prophet and their army. These are the ones who know
the Name of the Lord and have authority in the Name.
A clue is also given when the rapture will happen and it after the event
of the two witnesses who have power to call wrath from Heaven at their
command and whom the world fears. They would be killed and for 3 days
their bodies would be lying on the street for no one would have the
courage to touch them even though the people would be rejoicing their
death. It is at that time the Lord says it is sufficient coming back to
life they are lifted up. It is around this time the rapture happens.
Even if there are believers at that time they would not rapture except
for those who are the Elect and are the First Fruits in Christ. In the
book of Joshua they are symbolized as those were selected to first cross
the river Jordan (which means inheritance) while the priest held the Ark
of Covenant. These Elect are those who are part of those who truly carry
the Cross of Christ and are the ones who gather all believers before
Jesus Christ on the Judgment Day, stand beside Him when He judges all
believers and they are the ones who will rules over the Angels in Heaven.
*[/Prayer Starter/]*
Lord, You have created us in this weak flesh with a purpose to overcome
the carnal and proving ourselves as worthy to be your Sons with the help
of your Spirit. Lord in your mercy You save all your people (Israel)
being satisfied with the efforts of a few. Lord, we thank You for your
mercy and we pray or the Elect whom You have chosen amongst us that they
shine with your glory and be abundantly blessed in doing your work...
We make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.
*[/Reference Scriptures/] *
*Matthew 24:40-41,46- 51*
40Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other
left.
41Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and
the other left.
46Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so
doing.
47Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
48But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth
his coming;
49And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with
the drunken;
50The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for
him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the
hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
*Revelation 14:1-5*
1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an
hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in
their foreheads.
2And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as
the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping
with their harps:
3And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the
four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the
hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.
4These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins.
These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were
redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
5And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault
before the throne of God.
*Romans 14:9-12*
9For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might
be Lord both of the dead and living.
10But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought
thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
11For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to
me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
12So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
*John 17:5-8*
5And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory
which I had with thee before the world was.
6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of
the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept
thy word.
7Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are
of thee.
8For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they
have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and
they have believed that thou didst send me.
*Mark 13:24-29*
24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened,
and the moon shall not give her light,
25And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven
shall be shaken.
26And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great
power and glory.
27And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect
[chosen - not to be mistaken with the Elect] from the four winds, from
the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
28 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender,
and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:
29So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass,
know that it is nigh, even at the doors.
*Joshua 3:12-13*
12Now therefore take you twelve men out of the tribes of Israel, out of
every tribe a man.
13And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the
priests that bear the ark of the LORD, the Lord of all the earth, shall
rest in the waters of Jordan, that the waters of Jordan shall be cut off
from the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand upon an
heap.
*1 Corinthians 15:50-54*
50Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the
kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall
all be changed,
52In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the
trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we
shall be changed.
53For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must
put on immortality.
54So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this
mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the
saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
*1 Corinthians 6:2-3*
2Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world
shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
3Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that
pertain to this life?
*Revelation 11:3-19*
3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a
thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
4These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before
the God of the earth.
5And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and
devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this
manner be killed.
6These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their
prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite
the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
7And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that
ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and
shall overcome them, and kill them.
8And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which
spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
9And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see
their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their
dead bodies to be put in graves.
10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make
merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets
tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
11And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered
into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them
which saw them.
12And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up
hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies
beheld them.
13And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of
the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand:
and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.
15And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven,
saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord,
and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
16And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats,
fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,
17Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast,
and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and
hast reigned.
18And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the
dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward
unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear
thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the
earth.
19And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his
temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices,
and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

*Safeguarding the eyes*
*Acts 13:11* - /And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and
thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately
there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some
to lead him by the hand./
We read in today's message Barjesus who was also called Elymas seem to
be a wise man (because his name was that) was trying to sway away the
Roman proconsul (a post like that of a governor) when Paul and Barnabas
was preaching to him. Paul under the power of the Holy Spirit made him
blind for a period of time.
What message the Lord is giving us which we need to understand is why
the Holy Spirit led Paul to blind Elymas? We also need to remember that
before the change in Paul's life from Saul he too was made blind for a
period of time.
Eyes are a very important part of our body and have a very special
function to give vision, but Jesus also spoke of the eyes being a window
to our inner man. Our eyes are also an important element / part of our
heart / inner man. If one understand today's message many who have
problems of the eyes can receive healing, also you can learn to improve
the situation of your inner man / heart by taking care of your eyes.
The easiest way to impress a woman is to tell her she got beautiful eyes
and the easiest way to impress a Believer is to tell he or she got a
beautiful heart.
When the Lord explained to me the connection between the eyes and the
heart by the structure of the eyes and functioning of its various part
it was just awesome. I would not be able to explain that details in
these short messages but you need to understand the deep connection
between the two.
What we see common between Saul (before his being born-again) and Elymas
is the hardness of their hearts. Saul at that time was a hard core man
of traditions following the Jewish teachings as practiced by his
forefathers. Elymas on the other hand was a man filled with worldly
understandings which made him feel powerful so kept his name as wise man
Elymas even though his real name was ironically Barjesus (son of Jesus /
Joshua).
In the case of Saul his eyes were made good when the covering of his
eyes which when fell off were like fish scales. Paul was restored sight
and also made a new person by a cataract operation performed by the Lord
on him. But in Elymas' case he must have received sight after the period
of blindness but the records do not show he had a cataract operation
like Paul and therefore he was not a renewed man working for the Kingdom
of God.
Understand dear brothers and sisters in Christ a part of our inner man
is symbolised by our eyes and things of the spirit are manifested in the
flesh. If you have eyes problems start to work on your heart and you
will see your eye problems disappear.
We also need to understand every bit of visual information which enters
through our eyes goes and settles in our inner-man. Like a bottle of
coke which we drink, the impurities take more than 3 to 7 days to be
cleansed out of our system so also any picture which enters through our
eyes also takes a pretty long time to be cleansed out. We may watch a
provocative visual thinking they are harmless but we do not realize the
harm they do within us. They may be sexual in nature, or violent,
horror, or matters which are against the Truth, they all start to create
a darkness with in and work to extinguish the Light of God within us.
So let us protect our inner-man by making the right choice of what we
see or read. Things that edify us or build us are good should be
regularly read or seen, but things which create darkness within us
should be avoided even if they look harmless.
*[/Prayer Starter/]*
Lord, You have created us awesomely. You made sure we are given
sufficient warnings of the things which are not visible so that we can
the necessary steps. The sicknesses of our body are just the
manifestations of the sickness of our spiritual body. As son of man
Jesus Christ You were without blemish because your heart was perfect and
inner-man without corruption. Lord, help us guard our inner-man by
specially guarding our eyes. Help us discern what we should read and
what we should see. Whatever problems we are facing of our eyes help us
to work on that area of our hearts so that not only our hearts but also
our eyes are set right...
This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

*Acts 9:3-8, 17-18*
3And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined
round about him a light from heaven:
4And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul,
Saul, why persecutest thou me?
5And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom
thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
6And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to
do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it
shall be told thee what thou must do.
7And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice,
but seeing no man.
8And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no
man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.
17And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his
hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared
unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest
receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Spirit.
18And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he
received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.
*Matthew 6:20-23*
20But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor
rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
22The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single
[whole], thy whole body shall be full of light.
23But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If
therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that
darkness!

*Make good work perfect*
*Hebrew 13:21* - /Make you perfect in every good work to do his will,
working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus
Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen./
Today's message is a very important message especially for the men and
women of God who work in the Lord's Vineyard. There are many who are
doing good work in the Lord's Kingdom and the Lord is telling them He is
not satisfied with their good work.
Our God is a God of perfection. No doubt He is patient and slow to anger
but He is a never compromising God. He has His priorities set and He
knows their order is the perfect order for He is full of wisdom and all
knowing. When we do work for the Lord we find we are not receiving the
results to that extent which we should and this is all because our work
is not perfect.
In today's message the Lord is pointing to those factors why our work is
not perfect.
*1)**_Our work is not according to His Will._*
Most fail here because we lack understanding of the Word of God. We go
to preach and convert people to Christians. We even do healings and
miracles yet there are very high chances that we are still not doing His
Will.
*2)**_What we do is not pleasing in His sight._*
Let me take this with an example. Let us say we come across a man naked
on the street and we out of love give him a shirt and pant to clothe
him. This is good, but if that man wraps the shirt around his waist and
the pants around his head, the purpose of the clothing is not fully
fulfilled. So for us we need to not just give the clothing but also make
sure he wears it well.
Most of us do good work but lose on the purpose of the work we do.
However great our work may be but if the purpose is not achieved then
the work is incomplete. Even if the purpose is half achieved yet the
work is incomplete. For God purpose hold more priority than the work or
the efforts. Along with purpose, process is also given great importance
in the Kingdom of God. Thus good work done in ungodly way is not
acceptable to God.
These two points also need to be done through Jesus Christ, keeping Him
as the corner stone and should glorify Him and Him alone. Therefore
those who work for the Kingdom of God and are visible in the eyes of man
run greater difficulty of lifting Jesus Christ above themselves.
Let us just not do good work but let us do work according to the will of
God in a way which pleases God and glorifies Jesus Christ.
*[/Prayer Starter/]*
Lord, we thank and praise You. You are a Living God, Who is ever seeing,
nothing is hidden from You. Whatever we do, the purpose and our ways are
known to You. We cannot fool You even though we may fool the world.
Lord, help us understand your Will through your Spirit and guide us that
we know the priority and purpose which pleases You...
This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.
*[/Reference Scripture/]*
*Galatians 5:14-26*
14For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt
love thy neighbour as thyself.
15But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not
consumed one of another.
16This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust
of the flesh.
17For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the
flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do
the things that ye would.
18But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery,
fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife,
seditions, heresies,
21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the
which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they
which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith,
23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the
affections and lusts.
25If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
26Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying
one another.
*Romans 12:2*
2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the
renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and
acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
*Ephesians 4:11-16*
11And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists;
and some, pastors and teachers;
12For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for
the edifying of the body of Christ:
13Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of
the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of
the fulness of Christ:
14That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried
about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning
craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things,
which is the head, even Christ:
16From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that
which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the
measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of
itself in love.
*Matthew 7:18-27*
18A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree
bring forth good fruit.
19Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast
into the fire.
20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the
kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in
heaven.
22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in
thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done
many wonderful works?
23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me,
ye that work iniquity.
24Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I
will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and
beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not,
shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and
beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

*Sometimes devil sometimes god*
*Acts 28:4-6*
/4So when the natives [barbarians] saw the creature [snake] hanging from
his hand, they said to one another, "No doubt this man is a murderer,
whom, though he has escaped the sea, yet justice does not allow to live."/
/5But he shook off the creature into the fire and suffered no harm./
/6However, they were expecting that he would swell up or suddenly fall
down dead. But after they had looked for a long time and saw no harm
come to him, they changed their minds and said that he was a god./
The Greek word used for the natives is *'barbarous* ' from which we get
the English word 'barbarian'. When we use the word barbarian we
visualize a person with a violent nature, but in fact the word was used
by the Greek for any foreigner who did not know the Greek language. It
is actually like the word 'vernacular' we use for people who do not
speak English but their native language. It is funny that we all who do
not know the Greek language are actually barbarians.
What we see in today's message that these native people who were not of
the same intellect as those considered standard in the world at one
time, were amazed at how Paul was saved from the shipwreck but later
when they saw a snake wrap itself around his wrist they though god had
cursed him and were expecting him to fall and die. But when Paul shock
off the snake and nothing happened to him they went to the other extreme
of making Paul a god.
We make laugh at these people as foolish people but most of us even
Christians behave just like these people. When disaster comes on people
we consider them cursed and await their total destruction but when they
bounce back we actually land up making them like gods by praising them
endlessly.
In the end days it is said Satan the beast is going to deceive the world
on a global level when his death like wound would be healed. This wound
is not yet been inflected on him but within a few years when he gets the
wound all would flee from him but later when he gets healed the very
same people would be totally under his control making him their god. All
this happens because we do not speak the language of God. Like the word
'vernacular' and 'barbarian' the Kingdom of God has a word for people
who do not speak His language and that is 'faithless'. When people lack
the knowledge and understanding of God's Word they easily become
faithless people and are swayed by events. They would be waiting for the
rapture, end of the world at the snap of a figure.
The Bible tell us the Truth is hidden from them because they desire more
the things of this world and in small things are dishonest.
Let us stop being led by sight but by the Spirit; walking in the light
of His Word and not becoming children of vanity.
*[/Prayer Starter/]*
Lord, You are God and full of wisdom and knowledge. We are called your
children but many among us lack knowledge and understanding. You have
given us your Spirit of Truth to fill us with knowledge and
understanding of your Kingdom. Holy Spirit sanity this temple and fill
us with more and more of You. Help us to abide by You and let ever
thought of ours be not our but your thought in us. Let our ways not be
the ways of this world but your ways. Let us not be children of vanity
but of light...
This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.
*[/Reference Scriptures/] *
*Luke 16:8-11*
8And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely:
for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the
children of light.
9And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon [worldly
treasures] of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you
into everlasting habitations.
10He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much:
and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
11If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who
will commit to your trust the true riches?
*John 12:35-36*
35Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you.
Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that
walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
36While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children
of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself
from them.
*1 Thessalonians 5:4-10*
4But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake
you as a thief.
5Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are
not of the night, nor of darkness.
6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
7For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are
drunken in the night.
8But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of
faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
9For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our
Lord Jesus Christ,
10Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live
together with him.

*Why people do not understand the Bible*
*Acts 28:25-27*
/25And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed after that
Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Spirit through Isaiah the
prophet unto your fathers,/
/26saying, Go thou unto this people, and say, By hearing ye shall hear,
and shall in no wise understand; And seeing ye shall see, and shall in
no wise perceive:/
/27For this people's heart is waxed gross, And their ears are dull of
hearing, And their eyes they have closed; Lest, haply they should
perceive with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with
their heart, And should turn again, And I should heal them./
There are people who have read the Bible and who discuss the Bible many
a times. They would point out all the so called contradictions and
faults according to them. They even go to the extent to read other books
of all the other religions and dig deep into history but will never make
an attempt to really understand the Bible.
Just some moments back I was read a message for someone trying to find
out why we do not follow laws like not to eat pig but then also accuses
Christianity of being a violent religion because we have laws in the Old
Testament instructing us to kill pagans which we also do not follow.
In today's message Paul says these people if they want can get to
understand the instructions which the Lord has given through His Word
but even though they make a show of reading and hearing yet they shut
their hearts and do not listen to what the Lord speaks to them. They do
this for only one reason, they know if they listen to the Word it will
cause them to change. Every person who reads the Bible knows it has the
power to change a person and most do not want to change because they
love this world and things of this world. They love sin and their sinful
nature, lust of things of this world; they love pride, worldly glory,
etc...
The Bible is like a huge iron treasure box which holds immense priceless
treasures but is locked. The New Testament is like a peep hole into this
treasure box. People of this world look at the iron box and comment on
the rust, size, weight of the box, age, history etc. Some would even
peek into the peek hole and have a glimpse of the treasure but would
prefer to believe that the little they could see is all that this box
holds. But most would not want to open this box for all know the only
want to unlock this box is the key which we can receive through Jesus
Christ. They also know to receive this treasure they would have to off
load all the worthless things they are carrying on themselves. They
being in love with these worthless things so much that they are willing
to lose their lives but not lose them.
It is very simple, if anyone wants to know God and the Kingdom of God
must first make up his or her mind to receive Jesus Christ and be ready
to change. They should be willing to lose everything that they carry on
themselves so that they can receive the most precious and priceless
things that ever exist.
*[/Prayer Starter/]*
Lord, You are God and You have created all things that exist. Although
You created this world your Kingdom is not of this world. Man has
corrupted this world through the worms of Satan. This world will all one
day end and all things within it will be vanity. Even though Satan
himself knows this yet he does not change for his heart is hard. His
children too have hardened their hearts but closing their spiritual eyes
and shutting their spiritual ears to your Word of life. Lord, with the
authority You have given us we rebuke the deaf and dumb spirit which
holds on to your children and command their spiritual eyes to see and
ears to listen so that they come to know You...
We make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

17So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by [listening] the word

*Hebrew 4:2-3*
2For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word
preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that
heard it.
3For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have
sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works
were finished from the foundation of the world.
*John 3:3-16*
3Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee,

4Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he

7Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
8The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof,

one that is born of the Spirit.
9Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?
10Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and
knowest not these things?
11Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify
that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
13And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from
heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
14And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the
Son of man be lifted up:
15That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that

R.D SOUZA Saved by faith - Page 35 Empty Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Post  Admin Thu 26 May 2011, 5:23 pm

At times of agony, pray earnestly*
*Luke 22:44* - /And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his
sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground./
We all know that Jesus Christ was God who humbled Himself and became
man. He was 100percent man and the only difference between Him and us
was that He was not born from a human father so was without ancestral
sin and He Himself having not committed any sin was without blemish.
Another factor different between Him and us is even though we receive
the Holy Spirit we receive a token of the Holy Spirit and we try to grow
in the Holy Spirit but none have been able to receive Him in full
because we still are somewhat carnal. In Jesus' case He had overcome the
flesh and thus was full of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God and the
Image of God was complete in Him. So we see excluding the Holy Spirit
and sin factor He was as much human as you and I.
We need to understand there are many things in the New Testament which
are not disclosed openly but can be known by referring to the Old
Testament. Jesus did study scriptures like we do before He started His
ministry, doing as declared through Moses. There are historic documents
which confirm this.
One of the things Jesus openly declared many a times was about His death
and resurrection, yet we see in the Garden of Gethsemane Jesus nearly
broke down when praying even though an Angel of God was strengthening /
comforting Him. The scripture says His sweat were like drops of blood.
The emphasis had been made about His sweat falling so thick like drops
of blood to show the sorrow that was within Him as He was walking into
what He had spoken about. Before He went into the garden He was all
normal but as He was communicating with God in prayer details of what He
would go through was revealed to Him such that they overwhelmed Him.
The Bible does prophesy of the times we are walking into a time when
natural disasters and human disaster would mount so much that nearly a
part of the population of the world would cease to exist. As we have
just stepped into this period the Lord is revealing the details of these
disasters to His elect, and believe me they are going to be like bone
crushers. These are the times we need to pray from deep with our spirits
crying out to the Lord for His grace on His people specially those who
are fence sitters.
We need earnestly to pray for His people including for our family and
ourselves like Jesus did in the Garden of Gethsemane.
Understand without prayer whatever good we do is like a fan. At times
when it is cool the fan even at slow speed gives a lot of breeze but at
the time of summer when it is hot and air less dense even at full speed
the fan does not have much effect. When we pray our prayers becomes like
coolant like in an A/C and even the little we do starts to make effect.
*[/Prayer Starter/]*
Lord, we thank You for your Word. Your Word instructs and guides us
through things not known to man. Your Spirit strengthen us as we are
walking into these times of great activity. Your Kingdom can not wait to
see You come in glory. You are shaking up man as You foretold through
your messengers. Lord during this great time of shaking we pray for your
people that they may be under your wings of grace. That every member of
our family be protected wherever they are. You have made them for
purpose and not to be victims of calamity...
This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.
*[/Reference Scriptures/] *
*Luke 22:39-44*
39 And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives;
and his disciples also followed him.
40And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter
not into temptation.
41And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down,
and prayed,
42Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me:
nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
43And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.
44And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as
it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
*James 5:15-18*
15And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise
him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
16Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye
may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth
much.
17Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed
earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the
space of three years and six months.
18And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought
forth her fruit.
*Matthew 26:36-39*
36 Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith
unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.
37And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to
be sorrowful and very heavy.
38Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto
death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.
39And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed,
saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me:
nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
*Revelation 6:7-8*
7And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth
beast say, Come and see.
8And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was
Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over
the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and
with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

*Denying Jesus*

*Mark 14:66-72*
/66 And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the
maids of the high priest:/
/67And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and
said, And thou also wast with Jesus of Nazareth./
/68But he denied, saying, I know not, neither understand I what thou
sayest. And he went out into the porch; and the cock crew./
/69And a maid saw him again, and began to say to them that stood by,
This is one of them./
/70And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said
again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them: for thou art a Galilaean,
and thy speech agreeth thereto./
/71But he began to curse and to swear, saying, I know not this man of
whom ye speak./
/72And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word
that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me
thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept./

We all know Simon who was called Peter loved Jesus very much and at
times was the over enthusiastic about Jesus yet we find he denied Jesus
three times as foretold.

Today as I was reading this again I noticed the Lord giving us a message
for today not about we denying Jesus but also how we go about denying Him.

The first person whom Peter denied Jesus was a maid of the High Priest,
someone connected to the Church (at that time). After that he denied
Jesus to the people and later his nature became aggressive and abusive
when he denied Jesus to the people again.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ the first time we deny Jesus is
always in the Church and then we carry on this denial to the people.
Once we have denied Jesus to the people then we overcome the guilt in us
and the nature of Adam starts to overtake us then we behave unlike
children of God.

It is when we come together in Christ as one Body the Lord speaks to us.
We as one body need to have very close bonds with those from this body,
like we keep with our own family members. A person who says he or she
loves their family members more than those from the Church is not a true
Christian. No doubt our responsibility towards the family members would
be more but the love need to be the same towards all Christians.

For example, when we start to deny showing love to people from this
extended family we soon would be having problems showing love to the
other people of this world. And when we get used to not showing love to
the people of this world then another nature inside up overtakes us and
we start to hate and be violent towards people.

Let each one of us ask ourselves how many times have we denied Jesus
when we denied helping another believer. Because we do this we do not
feel guilt for the times we denied help to the people of this world. Let
us not wait for the time when we are totally immune to our guilt and we
start to behave unchristian.

*[/Prayer Starter/]*
Lord, we thank You for Jesus Christ Who has been an perfect example for
us when He was man on earth. Lord Jesus, You showed us how to love and
from where to start. Lord, teach us to firstly love those who are
believers the way we need to love them and how to carry this love unto
others who do not know You. Help us to be an example like You and let
they world know the greatest part of God for creation is His love for
us. We are not called to die on the crucifix but we are all called to
die to our carnal self - our flesh. Harden not our hearts that we
overcome our guilt and be dead unto it...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

*[/Reference Scriptures/] *
*1 Corinthians 8:3*
3But if any man love God, the same is known of him.

*Galatians 5:13-15*
13For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty
for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
14For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt
love thy neighbour as thyself.
15But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not
consumed one of another.

*The signs before the end time*

*Acts 2:19,20* - *And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the
earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: The sun shall be turned
into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of
the Lord come:*

People are looking at some of the calamities happening throughout the world
and assuming these are the one which signal the end time. The Bible has been
very clear and gives many events which happen before the end time comes.

The calamities we are experiencing are the start of the phase of the pale
horse which walks the plains of the earth and causes a fourth of the
population to be killed. After this are many more events before the end
comes.

One of the events just before the end time after the wonders in the sky and
signs in the earth below there are some very clear events which will mark
the coming of the Lord. The words translated as blood and fire, are not
exact translations but derivations which are translated as them. In
particular the word fire is not just ordinary fire but defines as a very
fiery fire. It goes further to specifies a thick blanket of smoke would
cover the earth which will make the sun to darken and the moon to look like
blood because at night the smoke would change characteristics.

People who are knowledgeable about nuclear holocaust would be able to tell
you that all these characteristics point to a global nuclear holocaust. The
Bible does not tell the exact time when Jesus will come but gives a lot of
detailed clues so that its people do not walk in darkness or like blind
people.

Please be rest assured the Lord has given enough evidence to guide His
people and prepare them before He comes again. As for now instead of
worrying when Jesus will come it is better for us concentrate on the work He
has assigned us and to save souls.

*[Prayer Starter]*

Lord, You are God and all knowing. You love your people and therefore have
made known things which are hidden for the world. You do not want your
people to walk like blind people therefore have given all the necessary
cautions and instructions in your Word. Lord, open the minds of your people
and reveal your Word unto them. Help them to know what is important now and
help them concentrate on it…

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

*[Reference Scriptures]*

*Revelation 6:8*

8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was
Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the
fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with
death, and with the beasts of the earth.

Post  Admin Sun 22 May 2011, 1:30 pm

*Are you ready for Jesus' second coming*

*Luke 8:40* -/And it came to pass, that, when Jesus was returned, the
people gladly received him: for they were all waiting for him./

Many people are talking of end of the world, some even gave the date as
21st May and spend more than 100million dollars to make hoardings and
announce this end. At the end the only persons happy out of all this is
the hoarding guys who made money.

I would not to talk of their foolishness of coming to conclusion of this
date, but the Lord wants us to reflect had this day really been the end,
then were you and I prepared to meet Jesus with gladness.

In today's message the people received Jesus gladly for they were
prepared and were waiting for Him. We need to ask ourselves are we?

Before we answer this question we need to understand what Jesus is
coming for. We should be aware that one of the purposes for which Jesus
is coming for is to judge the people.

There is a wrong notion among Christians that all those who believe in
Him will go to Heaven. In the Gospel of Matthew Jesus goes to the extend
to warn, leave alone those who believe in Him but even those who heal or
do miracles in His Name or even preach and make others Christians are
not assured entry into Heaven.

I too had not taken this matter very seriously until I realized if a
judge had to judge he had to have a basis on which he would judge. Any
true judge would not judge a person under any circumstances unless that
person is aware or given the basis under which that person would be judged.

For example if you go to a private garden and pluck a flower and the
gardener catches you and shouts or penalizes you, you would not get very
upset for you are aware it was not right to puck flowers from any other
person's garden. But if you were in a forest or woods and you plucked a
flower, imagine if a person came to you and shouted for doing that. I am
sure you would not react in the same way as you did with the gardener.
You would first ask what his authority was over this forest or woods.
Even if he said he was the owner of that land, if he had put a sign
board cautioning people about this being private property? Or why he did
not put a fence around it? Even if you saw the hoarding or not would not
be an argument but even the fact it was prominently displayed would
justify his shouting.

In the New Testament we do not see any rules that state the basis on
which a person would be judged to the extent of not being allowed to
enter Heaven even after believing in Jesus.

Some weeks back I was teaching on this matter at one of my sessions and
during which I found in only one place very clear instructions (if
understood well) been given which state even if a person is a believer
yet if they break the said rules they would be cut out from entering
Heaven and this is in the books of Moses.

People are of the notion after the coming of Jesus the Law given through
Jesus is history and we are not under the Law. One interesting scripture
opened my mind to understand it well and it was in the Gospels in which
the Law of Moses is called the Law of the Lord. But we find Paul and
others speak of we being dead to the Law for we are not of the Law but
of the Spirit.

What they spoke of was the Jewish law which not the Law of the Lord. The
Jews never understood the Law given through Moses. The law of the Jews
were laws of the flesh but the Law given through Moses was actually of
the Spirit which Jesus understood and followed yet did nothing the Jews
did. Although the text seem to instruct to kill or harm in the physical
yet Jesus never did for He knew its true meaning.

When I collected all these instruction on which basis one would be 'cut
out from his people' and when on to study its true meaning, it bought
fear into me and the question came, am I ready for Jesus today?

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ I do not want to scare you but
want to alert you it is very serious we look at the fact if we are
prepared for Jesus' coming. The Bible warns us that out of every 3
believers only 1 would enter Heaven and this is very serious concern.
Paul therefore warned in his letter to work towards their salvation with
fear and trembling.

Taken there is time for Jesus' second coming but then too if I go to
sleep in grave today or tomorrow, I would wake the day He comes to judge
and would not get time to undo those areas which are considered serious
by the Lord.

Every day in the early morning we should thank God for giving us an
opportunity to change. In the evening if we did not make use of it we
need to get on our knees and ask for forgiveness of not using that
opportunity.

*[/Prayer Starter/]*
Lord, You are a righteous God and all things which You do are Truth and
none can speak against or question your actions. You gave is warnings
again and again through your messengers but many a times we gave deaf
ears to them. Today Lord let it be a day of change for us. Let us
understand the seriousness of being your people and representing You as
a Christian. Help us keep your Word and be a doer of the Word so that we
are gladly ready for Jesus' coming...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

*[/Reference Scriptures/] *
*Matthew 7:21-23*
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the
kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in
heaven.
22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in
thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done
many wonderful works?
23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me,
ye that work iniquity.

*Luke 13:23-29*
23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he
said unto them,
24Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will
seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
25When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the
door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying,
Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know
you not whence ye are:
26Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence,
and thou hast taught in our streets.
27But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart
from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
28There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see
Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of
God, and you yourselves thrust out.
29And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the
north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.

*Luke 2:22-23*
22And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses
were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the
Lord;
23(As it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that openeth the
womb shall be called holy to the Lord;)

*1 Corinthians 14:20-22*
20Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye
children, but in understanding be men.
21 In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips
will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear
me, saith the Lord.
22Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to
them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe
not, but for them which believe.

*Luke 24:44*
44And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you,
while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were
written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms,
concerning me.

*John 7:19*
19Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law?
Why go ye about to kill me?

*Zechariah 13:8-9*
8And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two
parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left
therein.
9And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them
as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall
call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and
they shall say, The LORD is my God.

*Revelation 12:3-4*
3And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red
dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
4And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast
them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready
to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

*Revelation 20:11-15; 21:1*
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the
first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

*John 5:26-30*
26For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to
have life in himself;
27And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is
the Son of man.
28Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are
in the graves shall hear his voice,
29And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection
of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
30I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment
is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father
which hath sent me.

*It is all By Him, For Him and With Him*

*Colossians 1:16* - For by him were all things created, that are in
heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be
thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were
created by him, and for him:

Yesterday I had a nonbeliever ask me about Jesus, not about the man
Jesus Christ but His role in the Old Testament. If it was Jesus Who
spoke to Abraham and other characters in the Old Testament and if it was
He then how in the Old Testament He gave instructions that to kill and
then in the New Testament He spoke of peace.

Paul was among the few who really understood Him and the Bible well. In
the whole Bible the 8 verses (13-20) from which the message we received
today gives the simplest introduction of Lord Jesus Christ yet does not
cover everything. I am sure what I have been revealed till date is not
all and there is more to know about Lord Jesus Christ. When I say this,
I am not talk about His nature or character but Who He is, His origin,
the things He did before our creation, His role in creation, His part in
the readmission of man, His purpose for man etc...

It is very, very difficult to explain the hidden aspect of Lord Jesus
Christ unless one has the understanding of God, the Godhead (Triune
God), the background of things that happen before Genesis 1:2, the
purpose God created this creation not only the destiny but also its
reason of the process and what the awaited result is all about.

Let me put the story of salvation in a simple way. There is a river bank
A on which the inhabitants whom God created got infected due their
rebelling against His Nature and were given a period before everyone on
that bank would be destroyed. To be saved they were given instructions
by God to cross over to the other bank of the river before the
destruction. When they started they started with a mistake so to prevent
them from repeating the mistake and also never to rebel against God, the
river was made very rough such that if they did cross they would never
forget the journey. But the river was so violent and infected with wild
beast in it that none had hopes to cross. They were not able to cross
for the currents were very strong even the boat given unto them could
not move directly so the only way of crossing was moving diagonal to the
flow with great struggle. They were allowed to cross diagonally since it
was impossible for anyone unless they had an anchor touching the bed of
the river. The depth of the river and the beasts in the water would not
allow any to put their feet in the river and survive. Also even if they
did move diagonally in a boat they did not have sufficient time and
distance to reach the other bank for the river ended at a distance ahead
unto a steep fall and when the time was up all on the bank A and in the
river would be destroyed. God said even if two could cross all connected
with them would be saved.

God the Holy Spirit became the only means for He alone was not affected
by the beast and was strong that the currents could not shake Him. God
the Son came as man and paid the price so that the Holy Spirit would be
available for all to cross. He also became an example as to how with the
Holy Spirit anyone who believes in Him and listen to His instructions
can cross and be saved.

*[/Prayer Starter/]*
Lord, creation and all were doom to destruction but You alone could save
them. Your mercy became the boat when kept us though this journey. You
paid the price for us and made salvation possible for us. Lord, help us
realize the consequence of this temporary creation which rebelled
against You but You would not let it become vanity for You have a
purpose. The purpose being to be part of your glory and we know we will
receive it because of You...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

*[/Reference Scriptures/] *
*Colossians 1:13-20*
13Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated
us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of
sins:
15Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are
in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions,
or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
18And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the
firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
19For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
20And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to
reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things
in earth, or things in heaven.

R.D SOUZA Saved by faith - Page 35 Empty Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Post  Admin Fri 20 May 2011, 8:33 pm

*Some people are not marked by the Beast*
*Romans 11:4* - *But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved
to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of
Baal.*
We read in today's message about Elijah who cried to the Lord during the
time when Jezebel had killed the Prophets of the Lord and all the people had
forsaken the Commandments of the Lord and started worshiping Baal, then too
the Lord made sure there were some who knew Him and followed Him.
All prophesies in the Bible are prophesised multi-level. They have a
physical manifestation and the spiritual manifestation. People most pursue
or are on the lookout for the physical manifestation and miss out the
spiritual one which is more important i.e.
The prophesy of Christ ruling the world for a thousand years has most people
thinking of Jesus coming as man and being a figure head of world order like
a political / global leader. To try to explain this prophesy the Lord spoke
through John of the book of Revelation and showed him a rider on a white
horse whose name is ‘Word of God’ and who keeps building an army which no
one can stop. If people put historic events of the Church in place they
would realize after thousand two hundred and sixty years from the time the
Church when haywire this prophesy is already in action and started the
protestant movement.
Similarly the end day has some people thinking on the 21st May the world
will end and will be thoroughly disappointed on the 22nd when nothing
happens. Jesus had warned us about physical / natural signs and still said
not to think it will all come to the end, but the end will happen only when
all prophesies are fulfilled like all will hear the Gospel. The book of
Daniel clearly gives at many places clues as to the approximate time when
the end will come. In one place he states a thousand, thousand and a half
years and another place he states after two thousand three hundred years the
cleansing of the Temple will start which again confirms the previous
approximate date for after the Church comes together in glory then there is
another event in Church history after which Satan is let loose and the end
comes.
Also understand when Noah was told to make an ark, Lord did not cause the
floods to come before Noah finished the ark. It came only after the job was
done even though it took 100years for Noah. We too are told to give the
Gospel to every human on earth so unless this is not done the end would not
come.
Another prophesy about the mark of the beast which people think is a
physical chip, which will be embedded into human body as an electronic ID,
controlled by the mind to be used for commerce and but instead will control
them like zombies. No doubt the first part is true but the last part is
where they are mistaken. The chip being integrated with the neuro-signalling
system of the human mind will allow them to do transactions using the mind
to control communication but will also influence the mind to think on basis
of logical thinking and will kill aspects of the mind like faith, love etc.
which are not based on logic.
There is a spiritual aspect of the mark of the beast which people miss for
one needs to understand this prophesy pertains to all and not only those
during the end times. The reason of this confusion is they do not know who
this beast is and confuse it with Satan the dragon or Lucifer. They think
the number 666 is of Lucifer but is not so, for it is the number of Satan
the beast. The beast is also called Prince of Tyre/ Tyrus and Lucifer the
dragon is called King of Tyre/Tyrus. When I was disclosed who the beast is
and details of the beast’s spiritual mark; I too like Elijah cried out to
the Lord, after seeing how everyone had fallen into getting marked by the
beast and who could be saved from it? But as I gradually started
fellowshipping with more men and women of God I found there were few who
having good communication with the Holy Spirit were not under this mark.
Even if they were they were coming out of it.
The Church of Jezebel - the Roman Catholic Church has been instrument in
getting most Christians marked by the beast by its practices or traditions.
Even though Believers came out of this Church yet they continue some of its
practices thus keeping themselves still under the mark.
Every understanding and every religious practice needs to bought under the
magnifying lens of the Word and those not according to the Word needs to be
rejected. Like Paul wrote anything done in the Name of the Lord and is not
by faith (according to the Word) is sin.
*[Prayer Starter]*
Lord, we pray let more and more be added unto those who walk according to
your Word and not be marked by the beast. Let them reject all that which is
not of your Kingdom let them grow in discernment and being part of your army
expand your Kingdom to the whole of this world...
This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.
*[Reference Scriptures]*
*Mathew 24:7-15*
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and
there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and
ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.
10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall
hate one another.
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a
witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by
Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him
understand:)
*Daniel 12:5-6*
5 Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this
side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the
river.
6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of
the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the
river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and
sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an
half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy
people, all these things shall be finished.
*Daniel 12:10*
13 Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that
certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily
sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary
and the host to be trodden under foot?
14 And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then
shall the sanctuary be cleansed.
*Revelation 19:11-16*
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon
him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and
make war.
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and
he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is
called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses,
clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite
the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the
winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF
KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
*Revelation 13:11-18*
11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two
horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and
causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast,
whose deadly wound was healed.
13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven
on the earth in the sight of men,
14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those
miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them
that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which
had the wound by a sword, and did live.
15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the
image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not
worship the image of the beast should be killed.
16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond,
to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the
name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the
beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred
threescore and six.
*Revelation 2:20-23*
20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest
that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to
seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto
idols.
21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with
her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know
that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto
every one of you according to your works.
*Roman 14:23*
23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of
faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

*Stand together*

*Acts 2:14* - /But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his
voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at
Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:/

When we were small we all have heard the parable of how easy it is to
break a single twig or even a few together but when more and more are
put together it just becomes impossible to break them.

In today's message we read when the disciples of Jesus got into action
after Pentecost the first thing they did was stand together. When Peter
spoke he was '/with the eleven/' it did not mean physically for other
were also there but meant in one mind, understanding and purpose.

When we see other religions, other than Christianity we see more unity
among them than us who are supposed to be in the light and not in darkness.

The Bible tells us the first congregation (Church) came together in the
Name of the Lord through the hands of Abraham and they lived together as
a tribe. Although the difference between them and the others were not
visible (for they were circumcised) yet they were easily differentiated
from the other people by their ways of life and the God they served.

Later even the twelve tribes under Moses too were a united army whom the
other armies of the world feared, they too were just ordinary people but
with them was something unique which no other army had and that was the
glory of God which led them. They too were bonded together with things
of the physical of the flesh.

The other religions of the world are based of acts of the flesh; the
things that hold them together are traditions and human leadership. They
have a human figurehead who leads them.

Before Jesus the people of God were walking in the flesh. The law of God
was done in the flesh yet we see that there was great unity among them.

The new Church or Church of Christ is founded on Someone Who is not of
flesh but of Spirit. He is the Rock on Whom the Church stands. He is the
Spirit of God.

Jesus the Corner Stone knew and showed us the things of the flesh are
temporary and the real world is the spirit world. So when He came as man
He paid the price for us so that we could have a firm foundation which
no human or any other being can shake.

Although we have a far great foundation and force to hold us together
yet we are more disunited than those of this world and the main reason
behind this is the lack of discernment. It is the lack of discernment
which has caused cracks in the Body of Christ and we see so many
Churches which compete with each other and even try to eliminate each
other. It is not that they do not have the Truth with them, knowing
Jesus Christ they do have the basic foundational Truth with them yet we
find the Church divided.

Even though we are many churches, ministries etc. yet we are all
supposed to stand together united as one for our foundation is one. The
problem is not the difference among us in understanding but because of
the lack of discernment. We have given the unimportant things more
importance; we have allowed a fusion of the flesh with the things of the
spirit.

Discernment comes from the One Who is the foundation of the Church - the
Holy Spirit. The Word of God tells us if we ask of Him things which are
good He gives them to us. So let us all together ask of the Holy Spirit
a shower of the Spirit of discernment so that we come together as a
united Church becoming one in Christ. That the world may see the glory
of God among us and we stand apart from the people of this world and
thus the Name of Jesus be lifted up.

*[/Prayer Starter/]*
Lord, we are your people representing You and your Kingdom in this
world. Although we are to be rooted in Spirit yet many among us are
still holding on to the things of the flesh and making them their
foundation. Lord, fill your people with your Spirit of discernment so
that they may distinguish the important from the unimportant, the
necessary from unnecessary and the good from the bad. May we be united
in the Rock and give glory unto You...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

*[/Reference Scriptures/] *
*Genesis 17:10-14,23*
10This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy
seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.
11And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a
token of the covenant betwixt me and you.
12And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every
man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought
with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed.
13He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money,
must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an
everlasting covenant.
14And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not
circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken
my covenant.
23 And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his
house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men
of Abraham's house; and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the
selfsame day, as God had said unto him.

*Romans 12:16*
16Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but
condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

*John 16:13-15*
13Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into
all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall
hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
14He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it
unto you.
15All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he
shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

*Romans 8:1-6, 10-14*
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ
Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free
from the law of sin and death.
3For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh,
God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin,
condemned sin in the flesh:
4That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk
not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
5For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but
they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is
life and peace.
10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the
Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in
you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your
mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
12Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after
the flesh.
13For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the
Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

*1 Corinthians 2:10-16*

*Ephesians 4:17-24*
17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth
walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
18Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of
God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of
their heart:
19Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness,
to work all uncleanness with greediness.
20But ye have not so learned Christ;
21If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the
truth is in Jesus:
22That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which
is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in
righteousness and true holiness.

R.D SOUZA Saved by faith - Page 35 Empty Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Post  Admin Mon 16 May 2011, 11:32 am

*Always and All-Ways*

Always

In today's message I received just the word 'always' and this word is
really worth giving a thought to. By this word the Lord wants us to look
at 2 things in our life. One is the routes or decisions that we take in
life and the other is the foundation of the direction of our life.

We human are made in the image of God but not understanding that we lost
the wholeness of this image when sin came into us we still think we are
all-capable, making ourselves as miniature gods. Even if we do not think
we have solutions for everything or we are able to overcome all our
problems without God, we still have at the back of our heads the notion
that we handle some of our problems by ourselves until they become big
and start to crush us.

The Lord wants us to realize if all our decisions in life are with the
knowledge of Him. Are our options based on chance or with the knowledge
that God is alive and in control? We normally set ourselves ready for
the worst while call ourselves people of faith but in fact behaving like
faithless people, assuming that God may have an oversight of that
particular event in our lives, that God doses for a while or His Hand
being short to handle our problem. Then we faithless people make the
statement 'it may be the will of God'.

The other important fact we need to realize is, are the foundation of
our options based on the principles of the Kingdom of God? It is because
we do not base our decisions on the principles of God we land up having
multiple options and find ourselves on roller-coaster rides in our lives.

God is all knowing and full of wisdom when we are in tune with His ways
and filled with the knowledge of the Kingdom of God then our ways will
be very clear and just one. Our ways will not be having short term
results only and ending in disasters but our ways will always end with
excellence even if in the short term they may go over rough roads.

We who believe in Jesus Christ have the Holy Spirit available to us. So
those who have received the Holy Spirit should always in all ways
involve Him as part of our decisions. When we do that then we find we
will not have many ways but will be moving in one direction with a clear
mind. We may be walking against the ways of the world but yet we will
always land in success. We will not waver or be burdened during our
journey, for He will always be with us. Nothing is impossible for Him
and nothing is hidden from Him.

*[/Prayer Starter/]*
Lord, when we came to know You we who were in the darkness came into
light. We are now children of light but yet many a times we stray into
darkness all because we do not involve You on a daily basis in our
lives. We think we should not worry You with our small problems and wait
till they become big and come to You on our knees. We do not walk with
the values of your Kingdom therefore land in confusion and frustration.
Lord, when we are in You, You become our mind and our every though is
yours. Our ways then are not our ways but your ways. Lord, we pray that
we always are in You aware that You are in charge of us and You are the
lamp unto or feet and light unto our path...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

*[/Reference Scriptures/] *
*Romans 3:10-18*
10As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
11There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
12They are all gone out of the way, they are together become
unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
13Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used
deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:
14Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:
15Their feet are swift to shed blood:
16Destruction and misery are in their ways:
17And the way of peace have they not known:
18There is no fear of God before their eyes.

*James 1:5-8*
5If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men
liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
6But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is
like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

*2 Corinthians 2:14*
14Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ,
and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

*Romans 13:12-14*
12The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off
the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
13Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness,
not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
14But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the
flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

*Ephesians 5:8-9*
8For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk
as children of light:
9(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and
truth;)

*There is no lady luck*

*Acts 1:26* - /And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon
Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles./

Some time back we had a Gospel singing competition and the youth
selected at the auditions were all very good. For the finals we had
given each contestant a list of 10 common songs and they were told they
would have to sing anyone of the 10 songs. There were a lot of
variations in between the songs and some being very hard for a normal
singer, which only a trained or gifted singer would be able to take them.

During the finals we had put a pot on the stage with 10 balls having
numbers 1 to 10 written on them and the opening of the pot was covered
with a slit enough to only put a hand. The participant after coming on
the stage picked a ball and the corresponding song from a list the
participant had to sing. The participants could never guest what song
they could have to sing and had to rely on the grace of God to promote
him or her to the winners list.

People may think here was an element of 'luck'.

It is sad people use words without giving thought to their meaning or
understanding. Luck is defined as 'to gain success or something
desirable by chance'. The word 'chance' means there is no telling if or
not it happens and no one is in control of the event.

In today's message we read the 11 Apostles selected the 12th member by
drawing lots. It was not that they could not decide so gave it unto
chance to select the 12th person. They actually used the understanding
of the Urim and the Thummim which was put in the Breastplate of Judgment.

We as Christians who know God should always remember that God is alive
and in control of everything. There is nothing that can happen without
His will of His approval. Even the evil that Satan does is because he is
given time by the Lord to repent, but Lord knowing his heart has already
written his destiny. God does not allow problems into the lives of His
people more than what they are given grace to overcome. It is only for
the purpose to mold us that things happen into our lives, that is why we
have a choice to abide by the Word, surrendering and change or let
events happen in our lives and let them change us or mold us.

At the Gospel singing contest we realized from the ones who were not
selected, there were some who could sing very well but had some areas in
that life which needed working before they could be put on the stage to
evangelize the people. These got songs which were not made for their voice.

Understand 'luck' is a word only of the heathens who do not know God and
sometimes without realizing we act like them at times. Using this word
is the same as believing in Astrology, Palmistry and other occults and
not in God.

*[/Prayer Starter/]*
Lord, You are Almighty God, Omnipotent and Omnipresent. There is no
place where anyone can go to hide from You. There is nothing that we do
or even think of which is hidden from You. You are in control of
everything and yet You allow things for You alone know the future and
the hidden. You have given to us a view of the things in your Word so
that we do not get lost or lose faith. Lord, we ask your forgiveness for
the times we believed in the supernatural which does not exist instead
of You Who are beyond natural and super natural, for You are real and
are Spirit. Help us always remember You are with us and in control...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

*[/Reference Scriptures/] *
*Exodus 28:29-30*
29And Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the
breastplate of judgment upon his heart, when he goeth in unto the holy
place, for a memorial before the LORD continually.
30And thou shalt put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the
Thummim; and they shall be upon Aaron's heart, when he goeth in before
the LORD: and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel
upon his heart before the LORD continually.
*Nehemiah 7:64-65*
64These sought their register among those that were reckoned by
genealogy, but it was not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put
from the priesthood.
65And the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most
holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and Thummim.

*1 Samuel 28:6*
6And when Saul enquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither
by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.

R.D SOUZA Saved by faith - Page 35 Empty Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Post  Admin Sat 14 May 2011, 9:45 am

*Natural man and the Spiritual man*
*1 Corinthians 2: 14,15* - /But the natural man receiveth not the things
of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he
know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is
spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man./
In today's message the Lord is talking to us about the natural man and
the spiritual man. Even though the scripture speak against the natural
man he is in reality not foolish. He may be the most smartest man well
educated, having a good career, good saving, good social network, not
having too bad vices etc., but as far as his spiritual profile is
concern he may be totally lacking. His relationship with God may be just
traditional practise. His helping people would be to give some money
once a week just to make oneself happy that I do something. In his
neighbourhood there would be a person who is struggling for his daily
meal, this man would surely give something to make sure he does not die
hungry but more than that he would say 'is not my business'. If he sees
a beggar he would put his hand in his pocket giving him some change but
would not bother if he uses that money for drugs or any other evil. For
this man the Fruits of the Holy Spirit are not necessary as far as you
are a good being according to the world.
The other man who is called spiritual man has a different approach to
things and to understand his approach we would need to get into the
grammar of the Greek words. It is written '/he judges all things, yet he
himself is not judged'/. When we understand the TVM (Tone Voice and
Mood) of the words '/judges/' and '/judged/' we would understand better.
Like I told you in my previous mails the TVM gives us instructions as
what to do in Body (Natural), Mind and Spirit respectively.
Judges TVM: Present, Active, Indicative
What we learn here is although the other man is called spiritual man he
actually does not use or do much in the spiritual aspect but does more
in the mental aspect. He is a person who is spiritually alive and really
uses his thinking to reason what is best. The TVM shows his mind as Active.
Understand to be a spiritual man one does not need to get nirvana or a
lightening from Heaven or have deep understanding of the Kingdom of God
but you should have your basics in place. All it take for a person to be
spiritual man is to be spiritually alive and to give though to one's
actions and priorities.
Such a man today's message says would not be judged by others, that does
not mean people would not speak against him. The TVM gives better detail
on it.
Judged TVM: Present, Passive, Indicative
We learn by the TVM that although people may speak against the actions
of the person yet they will not speak against the intention of the
action. People will know you are a good person but would not be able to
jelly with you very much when they are people of this world for your
actions would disturb their way of life and their priorities in life.
*[/Prayer Starter/]*
Lord, as we live our life as Christians help us to be Spiritual
Christians and not Natural Christians. Help us to actively give thought
to our every action and intention. Help us realize if we are walking
towards light or towards darkness. Help us work towards spiritual riches
and not earthly riches. Let others know we are different from this world
and let them see You in us...
This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.
*[/Reference Scriptures/] *
*1 Corinthians 2:16*
16For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But
we have the mind of Christ.
*Hebrew 5:11-14*
11Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye
are dull of hearing.
12For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one
teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and
are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
13For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of
righteousness: for he is a babe.
14But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who
by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
*2 Corinthians 3:12-16*
12 Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
13And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of
Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
14But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same
vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is
done away in Christ.
15But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
16Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken
away.

If rich be more careful*
*1 Timothy 6:17-19*
/17Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded,
nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us
richly all things to enjoy;/
/18That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to
distribute, willing to communicate; /
/19Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time
to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life./
It is sad that many Christians measure their blessings according to the
financial blessings they have. This is exactly what the Heathens believe
in; they think if the gods are happy with them, they will be blessed
with wealth, fame and prosperity of this world.
When Jesus said it is more difficult for a rich man to enter Heaven then
for a camel loaded with goods to enter the narrow city gate (eye of the
needle) which was like a tax check point, all around Him including His
own disciples were astonished.
Paul in this very letter to Timothy and in the same paragraph points out
to the fact that those who are rich are more likely to fall in more
temptation and traps which lead to foolish and harmful desires and will
further lead them to be ruined and destroyed.
Understand it is not a sin to be rich but if God has blessed you with
riches it is important that you are stronger spiritually to handle the
riches. As today's message instructs us not to be high-minded and
trusting on our riches, meaning we should not think we are better off
than the others and never ever think our money will get us out of
problems always. Ask the families of the millionaires and billionaires
whose members have died due to critical diseases at young ages, if their
money could help them?
God also does not want us to be beggars, He commits in His Word that He
will provide us all our needs such that we will not be lacking in any
area of our lives. He not only gives us sufficient but always some extra
to bless others who are far from Him and suffering, so that they may see
Him in us and come to Him.
Today's message instructs us to be rich spiritually by doing good and to
be rich in good works. The difference between the two is the first is
concerning ourselves and the latter towards others.
We always look at how much money we have in our pockets or in our bank
balance but how many of us look at how much spiritual assets we have?
How much have we grown in the Fruit(s) and gifts of the Holy Spirit? How
much of the harvest the Lord has given us have we really reaped? Do not
look at the quantity but the proportion of the quantity given.
With regards to doing good unto others, people normally think by just
giving they have done good. Understand our giving always does not do
good, but at times may do more harm than good. So we must give or help
others with concern, understanding, wisely and abundantly.
Nothing of the riches of this world we are going to take with us when we
leave this world, but our spiritual riches we will surely take. So let
ask ourselves, are we going to leave with empty pockets or with abundance?
*[/Prayer Starter/]*
Lord, You are God and the creator of the whole world. The riches of this
world are just dust for You. Nothing of this world can please You. You
are Spirit and your world which is the Spirit world is real and true.
Your world is made of the Fruits of the Holy Spirit and with precious
spiritual things. Lord, help us realize as far as we are in this
temporary world You will provide for us all our needs and even use us to
be a vessel to bless others in their needs. Lord, help also realize how
much we are really rich spiritually and help us add unto our spiritual
assets in leaps and bounds...
This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.
*[/Reference Scriptures/] *
*1 Timothy 6:7-12*
7For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry
nothing out.
8And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
9But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into
many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and
perdition.
10For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some
coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves
through with many sorrows.
11But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after
righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
12Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto
thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many
witnesses.
*Mark 10:23-30*
23And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly
shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
24And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth
again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust
in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
25It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a
rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
26And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who
then can be saved?
27And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not
with God: for with God all things are possible.
28Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have
followed thee.
29And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man
that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or
wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,
30But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and
brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with
persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

*Religion used for self-pleasure*

*Acts 16:20,21* - /And brought them to the magistrates, saying, These
men, being Jews, do exceedingly trouble our city, And teach customs,
which are not lawful for us to receive, neither to observe, being Romans./

Outside Christianity all religious leaders use religion for reasons like
self-glory, power, riches etc. none of them have anything to do with God
or with Truth. But even in Christianity we see leaders misusing religion
to exploit people for their own gains. They may not crave for riches but
they still do not have any good agenda behind it. Ironically
Christianity root foundation is about overcoming one own desires and
pleasures and working towards the desires and pleasures of the Kingdom
of God.

Some years back there was a person (A) who learned how easy it was to
heal people and saw how people responded when they received help or were
given hope of freedom from their problems. He got another brother (B)
into his plans into exploiting the people commercially. This brother (B)
was healed from AIDS that too after he jumped off a bridge onto the
railway tracks. God did not allow him to die and started reaching out to
people through him. These two had even calculated the returns per week
from holding sessions or out reaches. Thankfully the brother (B) today
has come out from the deceitful plans of the person (A).

We read in today's message how Paul and Silas' giving the Gospel was
hurting the interest of the Jews, Romans and specially the person who
mislead people with prophesies from unclean spirit, they caught Paul and
Silas and got them to be beaten and put behind bars.

Today even Churches exploit people. We know how the Catholic Church
builds it riches by getting people into unholy practices and traditions,
the very things which the Bible speaks against. The Believer Churches
also misleads people with promises of riches (more earthly and less
spiritual) like coning them to give tithes. They fail to realize the
very first act of tithing in the Bible of Abraham giving 10percent to
Melchizedek also gave always all the remainder keeping only what his
people needed. Even in Acts the very first organized Church people kept
only what they needed and gave all remaining for the Kingdom of God.

I know of Pastors who make their subordinates to telephone people to
remind them to pay their tithes and confirm if they have done so,
Pastors threatening the congregation members from going to another
Church all because they will lose their fat cows. The Churches lack all
because of the greed of the leaders and their not selflessly working
towards building people in the Lord.

Like the Lord dramatically saved Paul and Silas by causing an earthquake
and broke the bands of chains holding them, so also the Lord is going to
shake the Church system to save His people. He is going to break the
bars of human authority which is not according to the Word that they
have put people behind. He is also going to break the rules and
practices which they have created and are not according to the Word.

They do not realize the Manna was sweet to taste when used according to
instructions but when instructions were not followed the same Manna got
worms and became dangerous to consume.

*[/Prayer Starter/]*
Lord, your Church is suffering because its shepherds are more concern
about themselves more than about your Kingdom. The world does not know
You because they do not see your glory shine in your Church among your
people. Lord we pray You intervene in the Churches and cause an
spiritual earthquake and break the bonds put by man and set free your
anointed ones to lead your people. Cause a spiritual revolution and an
outburst of your Kingdom...

We make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

*[/Reference Scriptures/] *
*Acts 16:16-26*
16 And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed
with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain
by soothsaying:
17The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the
servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.
18And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said
to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of
her. And he came out the same hour.
19And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they
caught Paul and Silas, and drew them into the marketplace unto the rulers,
20And brought them to the magistrates, saying, These men, being Jews, do
exceedingly trouble our city,
21And teach customs, which are not lawful for us to receive, neither to
observe, being Romans.
22And the multitude rose up together against them: and the magistrates
rent off their clothes, and commanded to beat them.
23And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into
prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely:
24Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison,
and made their feet fast in the stocks.
25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and
the prisoners heard them.
26And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of
the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and
every one's bands were loosed.

*Genesis 14:14-24*
14And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his
trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and
pursued them unto Dan.
15And he divided himself against them, he and his servants, by night,
and smote them, and pursued them unto Hobah, which is on the left hand
of Damascus.
16And he brought back all the goods, and also brought again his brother
Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people.
17 And the king of Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the
slaughter of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings that were with him, at the
valley of Shaveh, which is the king's dale.
18And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was
the priest of the most high God.
19And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God,
possessor of heaven and earth:
20And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies
into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.
21 And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take
the goods to thyself.
22And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the
LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,
23That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I
will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have
made Abram rich:
24Save only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the
men which went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their
portion.

*Acts 4:30-35*
30By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may
be done by the name of thy holy child [servant] Jesus.
31And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were
assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and
they spake the word of God with boldness.
32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one
soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he
possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
33And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of
the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
34Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were
possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the
things that were sold,
35And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made
unto every man according as he had need.

*Acts 5:1-10*
1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a
possession,
2And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and
brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet.
3But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to
the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
4Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it
not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine
heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
5And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and
great fear came on all them that heard these things.
6And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried
him.
7And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not
knowing what was done, came in.
8And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so
much? And she said, Yea, for so much.
9Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to
tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried
thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.
10Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost:
and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth,
buried her by her husband.

R.D SOUZA Saved by faith - Page 35 Empty Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Post  Admin Wed 11 May 2011, 11:25 am

*Being part of the Wedding*

*Hebrews 2:1-4*
/1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which
we have heard, lest at any time we should let slip./
/2For if the word spoken by angels [messengers] was stedfast, and every
transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;/
/3How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the
first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them
that heard;/
/4God also bearing witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers
miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to his own will?/

Among the Epistles (letters) of Paul I just love the ones he wrote in
the latter part of his life. If one puts his letters in the order he
wrote them and scrutinise Paul in them, one would find a great change in
character and spiritual maturity in Paul and how he overcame the thorn
in his flesh. The letters vary so much that it has made many theologise
to believe that the latter ones were written by another person imitating
Paul.

Hebrews and Galatians are among those letters which were written in the
later part of Paul's life. His last letters was his letters to Timothy.

In today's message Paul is talking about the Lord's salvation which was
known to only a few and how people were punished when they did not abide
by the instructions given by those few. How the Lord confirms His Word
by great signs and wonders, miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit.

An interesting thing I noticed today was the Greek word '*soteria*' used
for salvation. This word is just the feminine of the word '*soter*'
which means saviour. It gives a new depth to the understanding of being
bride to the Lord Jesus Christ Who is our Saviour.

Pursuing salvation in simple terms means pursuing to be soul mate to our
Saviour. Unless we do not abide in Him and become one with Him we are
not recipients of His Salvation. And we know by the parables which Jesus
gave those who reject or are not part of the wedding of the Son were
killed and burnt but the worst was to those who accepted the invitation
but did not abide by the instructions of the Groom's Family it is
written they will be tied hand and feet (meaning will be made helpless)
and thrown in the place where there is only sorrow and pain.

*[/Prayer Starter/]*
Lord, You are our God and Saviour. You desire man to be part of You
eternally. You desire man to have eternal life in You and be inheritor
of your Nature having power and authority in your Name. You do not
compromise but believe in only perfection but knowing man who will never
be perfect You came as man to give an example and to be a way to reach
perfection in You. Lord, help us to abide by your Word and be part of
your bride so that we receive our salvation in You...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

*[/Reference Scriptures/] *
*Matthew 21:1-14*
1 And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,
2The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a
marriage for his son,
3And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the
wedding: and they would not come.
4Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are
bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are
killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.
5But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm,
another to his merchandise:
6And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and
slew them.
7But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his
armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.
8Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which
were bidden were not worthy.
9Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to
the marriage.
10So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together
all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was
furnished with guests.
11And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which
had not on a wedding garment:
12And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a
wedding garment? And he was speechless.
13Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take
him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and
gnashing of teeth.
14For many are called, but few are chosen.

*Getting guidance*
*Acts 27:20* - /And when neither sun nor stars in many days appeared,
and no small tempest lay on us, all hope that we should be saved was
then taken away./
The main reason why many people, including Churches are taking wrong
steps or are not doing any progress is because they do not have any
personal guidance from the Lord. They lack instructions on how to move
forward and it does not need to be a great crisis for which they need
direction, it could be even a small issue in which they need assistance.
One can easy come to know by attending a service if there are people
amongst them to whom the Lord is speaking.
Some days back a dear brother got a desire to marry a sister in the Lord
and had approached me to confirm if it was the Lord's will. The Lord had
given me some details of her family which I shared with him and he
confirmed at it matched. He also spoke to another sister in whose house
he takes a House Church and even she got a confirmation from the Lord.
He himself also got a confirmation from the Lord.
There was one hurdle for him and it was the girl's uncle who is a senior
Pastor in a Church. The boy and girl had approached him too about
getting confirmation of coming together as husband and wife. The Pastor
told them he would prayer and come back to them. After more than a month
and half he still did not confirm although he is like a father to the
girl and has very close attachment to her. When we met one day, he got
offended that the Lord talks to us but when a person asked him why he
did not get any answer since a month and half he kept shut and almost
vent his anger in another direction. He repented later and gave his okay
to the marriage.
What we see happened with him was that there was something about the boy
he did not understand and that occupied his thinking and disconnected
his communication with the Lord.
In today scripture we see people were looking for the sun and stars for
guidance. This is exactly what Churches and people do is look for signs
and manifestations to get answer to their queries which they put before
the Lord.
The Lord does confirm His Word with signs and wonders, but we cannot
always rely the other way to be 100percent, that by looking at sign and
wonders thinking it is a confirmation from the Lord. Scripture says
especially in the later days we will see many signs and wonders which we
should not believe but abide to the Word of the Lord.
There are very few people including Church leaders who can confidently
confirm that the Lord speaks to them one to one and personal directs
them when they put forth their issue before the Lord.
It is not necessary that every issue and every time instantly the Lord
answers. There are times the confirmation takes time, but the Lord never
fails to answer.
It is time we should stop looking at the world or at sign and wonders
but bring forth our problems to the Lord on a personal one to one basis;
believe me He does speak to His people. When we communicate with the
Holy Spirit Who is with us, He answers in many ways, we may have a
vision, a dream, a message from the scriptures, even hear an audible
voice speak to us etc...
*[/Prayer Starter/]*
Lord, You are a living God and nothing is hidden from You. You desire to
guide your people but your people are far from You and therefore cannot
hear You. Even in the darkest moments You always make a window of escape
but since we are blind we fail to see the escape and get consumed. Lord,
help us to focus on You and build a stronger communication with You
through the understanding of your Word...
This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.
*[/Reference Scriptures/] *
*Acts 27:21-26*
21 But after long abstinence Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and
said, Sirs, ye should have hearkened unto me, and not have loosed from
Crete, and to have gained this harm and loss.
22And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss
of any man's life among you, but of the ship.
23For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and
whom I serve,
24Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo,
God hath given thee all them that sail with thee.
25Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be
even as it was told me.
26Howbeit we must be cast upon a certain island.
*Joel 2:28-29*
28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit
on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old
men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
29And also on the servants and on the handmaids in those days will I
pour out my spirit.
*Luke 21:35-36*
35For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the
whole earth.
36Watch you therefore, and pray always, that you may be accounted worthy
to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before
the Son of man.
*1 Corinthians 10:13*
13There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but
God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that you
are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that
you may be able to bear it.
