NOONDAY DEVOTIONS
 "keith hobkirk" totallylovedbygod59
MATTHEW 27 54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.
 WATCHING AND BELIEVING
What an amazing verse this is!
We always focus on the thief who came to trust Jesus as his last act and forget about the Centurion who said these remarkable words.
 So who was he?
Was He the man whose servant Jesus healed? Matthew 8
Was this Cornelius? Acts 10

We aren't told what his name is, but what he says is truly remarkable.
 So what do we know?
Well he was in charge of the group of soldiers who crucified Jesus. He had probably done this process hundreds of times. Crucifixion was the Romans chosen method of execution.
What was different about the death of Jesus?
Something different happened: the earth shook, graves were opened and all this time, he was watching. He heard the words of Jesus He had said from the cross, words that were completely different than any other before. He had heard Jesus cry: IT IS FINISHED and MY GOD MY GOD WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME.
He had probably heard the discourse between Jesus and the thieves.
These men were battle hardened, but they were struck with fear.
We are like the Centurion, all of us are watching the cross.
But what is our reaction to Jesus?
Is it the reaction of the Jewish Leaders who said they would only believe if Jesus came down from the cross, (and even if He had they still wouldn't have believed).
The only true reaction to Jesus is to say like the Centurion...
TRULY THIS IS THE SON OF GOD
I hope you can say this and trust in His precious blood shed on the cross of Calvary to save you.
  God bless you
Keith       NOONDAY DEVOTION BY KEITH JESUS FINISHES DEATH AND THE DEVIL.. FOR GOODJohn 19
30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, He said, It is finished: and he bowed His head, and gave up the ghost.
This is my favourite time of the year. Not just because spring is here, but because we can celebrate. Yes, celebrate the death of Jesus and His resurrection from the dead. These three small words in the verse above are some of the most awesome words ever spoken. They signify something absolutely extraordinary, something that defies description. They were the final words of Jesus on the cross and they weren't words of despair. They were the words of victory, words of power, and words that set many free. They signify the death nail for sin, death and Satan. The final nail had not been put in Jesus, it had been put into the devil and all his works. I love Colossians 2:11-15 - Jesus had made a public exhibition of all the power of sin and death.
11 In Him also you were circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, but in a [spiritual] circumcision [performed by] Christ by stripping off the body of the flesh (the whole corrupt, carnal nature with its passions and lusts).12 [Thus you were circumcised when] you were buried with Him in [your] baptism, in which you were also raised with Him [to a new life] through [your] faith in the working of God [as displayed] when He raised Him up from the dead.13 And you who were dead in trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your flesh (your sensuality, your sinful carnal nature), [God] brought to life together with [Christ], having [freely] forgiven us all our transgressions.14 Having cancelled and blotted out and wiped away the handwriting of the note (bond) with its legal decrees and demands which was in force and stood against us (hostile to us). This [note with its regulations, decrees, and demands] He set aside and cleared completely out of our way by nailing it to [His] cross.15 [God] disarmed the principalities and powers that were ranged against us and made a bold display and public example of them, in triumphing over them in Him and in it [the cross].
The power of sin and the devil, weren't just broken at the cross, they were totally smashed... into the smallest pieces ever. They were/are unable to be put back together.

The bridge had been built. Sinful men could now approach a Holy God, because, it was finished. The supreme work of redemption had been done. The Perfect Lamb had been slain. God the Father was satisfied... Jesus had acted as our substitute.
This is God's mercy... not giving us what we deserve. But giving us grace... giving us what we don't deserve. Amen.
The Cross of Calvary is and always will be the place of greatest mercy. It is where God showed mercy in abundance to unworthy sinners. But to do that, it had to be the place where God was merciless to His own Beloved Son. I cannot imagine the heart of God at this time; what Jesus went through for us, was totally amazing and just beyond words, but He had to face separation from His Father and the full force of God's righteous anger, which we should have had and which we deserved.
I love the verses in Hebrews 10:
19 Therefore, brethren, since we have full freedom and confidence to enter into the [Holy of] Holies [by the power and virtue] in the blood of Jesus,20 By this fresh (new) and living way which He initiated and dedicated and opened for us through the separating curtain (veil of the Holy of Holies), that is, through His flesh,21 And since we have [such] a great and wonderful and noble Priest [Who rules] over the house of God,22 Let us all come forward and draw near with true (honest and sincere) hearts in unqualified assurance and absolute conviction engendered by faith (by [b]that leaning of the entire human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness), having our hearts sprinkled and purified from a guilty (evil) conscience and our bodies cleansed with pure water.
A perfect and pure sacrifice was needed. Just like the ram in Genesis 22, one was provided - Jesus! God's precious Son. It cost Jesus His life and broke the heart of His Father, but JESUS was prepared to do it for us.
Believer, in light of this sacrifice, our only response is to bow and weep and offer our lives as a living sacrifice to God... Amen!
If it isn't, then you need to re-assess your so called Christianity and repent?
  God Bless you

DR KENNY MCCCLINTON
Hive of Wasps, Or Swarm of Bees? Psalm 32:10-11
Text:  “Many sorrows shall be to the wicked; but he that trusteth in the Lord, mercy shall compass him about.”                                                                                                                  Psalm 32:10.
Good morning, mercy-compassed Christian!  Each morning you and I awake, we are conscious of being surrounded by God’s gracious mercies.  Every day we venture out the door of our homes, we are enveloped in the grace of the Lord.  What a great and merciful Lord God Almighty we love and serve!  Give thanks unto the Lord!  Amen.
“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not.  They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness.  The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in Him.”  (Lamentations 3:22-24)
Wasps, in my lay-man’s experience, are a very different type of insect to bees. Where I live, here in Northern Ireland, UK, bees seem to be quite friendly, often sleepy creatures; but wasps, those stingers in yellow-striped combat suits, can be a dangerous nuisance to be avoided like the plague!
Wasps don’t seem to have much to offer humankind but pain and anxiety - as we seek to avoid them, seek not to disturb their nests; and hurt when our skin is pierced wickedly by their poisonous sting.

Bees, on the other hand are not only industrious pollinators in our gardens, but produce wonderfully sweet honey which can be collected and used by us as a sweet delight.
Moving into the Spiritual realm, ’…the wicked…’ in our Bible text for today are promised ’…many sorrows…’;  they are, metaphorically, surrounded by a swarm of vicious wasps, which cause them to hurt others, and experience hurt personally and continually.
Verse 10.  “Many sorrows shall be to the wicked.   He who sows sins will reap sorrow in heavy sheaves.  Sorrows of conscience, of disappointment, of terror, are the sinner’s sure heritage in time, and then forever sorrows of remorse and despair.
“But he that trusteth in the Lord, mercy shall compass him about.  The wicked have a hive of wasps around them, many sorrows; but we have a swarm of bees storing honey for us.”  (C.H. Spurgeon, Treasury of David, page 160)
What do you have, dear Reader, a hive of  sinful wasps, or a swarm of Spiritual bees?  Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall have the latter prize.
Without Christ as Saviour and Lord, one is immersed in the wasp’s den; surrounded by sorrows, living in darkness; suffering the sting of death in this life, and looking forward to nothing but a Hell of sin throughout the Eternity hereafter.  How tragically true.
With Christ Jesus as one’s  Saviour and Lord, we are surrounded by His Spiritual bees!:
“Ye must BE born again“:  Jesus taught the way, His way, to make certain that we are surrounded by His bees of constant mercy.  The new birth is His miracle of Spiritual regeneration; ’quickening’ our dead spirits by the power of His Holy Ghost.  Suddenly, we are delivered from the hive of wasps, and surrounded by the bees of  His blessing.
“And you hath He quickened (made Spiritually alive), who were dead in trespasses and sins…Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened (made Spiritually alive) us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit in Heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”  (Ephesians 2:1;5-6)
“…BE not dismayed…”:  We are no longer tortured by fear, no longer walking alone; no longer dismayed, or distressed, by the world and circumstances around us.  For the Lord promises strength, and help, and Divine upholding, “…by the right hand of My righteousness.”  (Isaiah 41:10)
Genuine regenerate Christians are continually blessed, even during times of Spiritual and temporal attack; illnesses; or daily failings.  We have God’s Word on this fact.
“…The goodness of God endureth continually.”  (Psalm 52:1)
“He (the Christian) shall be surrounded with mercy as one is surrounded by the air or by the sunlight.  He shall find mercy and favour everywhere - at home, abroad; by day, by night; in society, in solitude; in sickness, in health; in life, in death; in time, in Eternity.  He shall walk amid mercies; he shall die amidst mercies; he shall live in a better world in the midst of Eternal mercies.”  (Albert Barnes 1798-1870)
“…BE ye filled with the Spirit“:  For continual growth in grace and consistency in our Christian witness and service, we must BE filled with God the Spirit.  By constantly studying God’s Word, we are assured of the necessary faith to more ably serve the Christ Who has redeemed us with His own sinless Blood.  (Ephesians 5:18)
When we, as Christians, seek to examine God’s Spirit-inspired Word, we are blessed with faith anew every morning, and compassed about, before and behind, with God’s richest and most compassionate mercies.  Our wasps are weak, and our bees are strong.
Thought: What do you and I seek to surround ourselves with daily? Wasps of the world, or swarms of Heaven-sent bees; the sting of sin, or the joys of Heaven?

COFFEE BREAK
"Thoughts And Words"

"Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer."  Psalm 19:14
Our words and our thoughts are very closely related.  One affects the other.  Our thoughts affect our words and our words affect our thoughts.   Therefore, we must pay attention to what we think about and listen to what we are saying.
This is why we must continually renew our minds and change our thoughts-- our way of thinking.  When we do, it will affect our speech.  But it is important what we renew our minds with.  We can't just renew them with anything.  A lot of people are.  They are renewing their way of thinking with philosophies, culture, teachings of some religious leader, cultish beliefs, the mindset of society, and so on.  What we must renew our minds with is the Word of God.  When we do, we are renewing it with truth.  We are renewing it with words of life.  We are renewing it with God-centered and others centered thoughts and getting away from self-centered thoughts.  Once our minds are renewed with God's Word and our thoughts are transformed, our words won't be so negative, condemning, criticizing, full of doubt, fear and unbelief.  They will be full of encouragement, hope, faith, grace, kindness, gentleness, truth and life.
So, think about it-- what do you think about?  What do you say?  One is an indication of the other.  What you say comes from what you think.  And what you think is influenced by what you say.
Have a great day.  Your thoughts and your words affect each other.
DEL

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The FAITHFUL MASTER  DESIGNER chooses what we go through; we choose how we go through it.

MEANINGFUL PURPOSE
"When the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous man do?" [Psalms  (Tehillym)  11. 3 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The Hebrew word "shathat&q uot; is translated— foundations  which fittingly means purpose,  intent, basis,  objective.  The LORDYESHUA ha&# 39;MASHIACH  is our FIRM FOUNDATION  and HE can never be done away with.  But, a CHRISTian can loose his purpose if his eyes are not focused continually on the BLESSED SAVIOR.
When one is distracted with the cares of this world, Satan delights to undermine and spoil the purpose SOVEREIGN GODhas for us, and we soon deviate away from HIS will.   "When the whirlwind passes the wicked man is gone, but the righteous has an EVERLASTING FOUNDATI ON."  [Proverbs  (Tehillym)  10. 25 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Man's purpose is to exalt, praise and worship OMNIPOTENT GOD.  "YAH (I AM)  is my strength and might, HE has become my deliverance. HE is my GOD, and I will praise and glorify HIM; the GOD of my fathers and I will exalt HIM." [Exodus  (Tehillym)  15. 2 Tanakh, Torah]   "Let men thank and praise the LORD for HIS steadfast love, HISwondrous deeds for mankind! Let them exalt HIM in the congregation of the people, and praise HIM in the assembly of the elders."  [Psalms (Tehillym ) 107. 30 - 32 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

We will only be fulfilled and know a sense of worth and direction in our life when MESSIAH' S commands and decrees are followed.  As we carefully pursue YESHUA,  the TRUE VINE, in HIS "doctrine , manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering , love, perseveran ce, persecutions,  afflictions" ; [2 Timothy  3. 10 - 11],  "we may have confidence and not be ashamed before HIM at HIS appearing. " [1 John  2. 28]

"Nevertheless the solid foundation  (purpose,  basis) of ALMIGHTY GOD stands, having this seal— The LORD knows those who are HIS; and, let everyone who names the NAME of CHRIST depart from iniquity."  [2 Timothy  2. 19]

The LORD JESUS  CHRIST, our SOLID FOUNDATION, is complete and by faith we grow to a higher plane, day-by-day. " HE raises the poor from the dust, and lifts the needy from the dung heap to set them with the great, with the great men of HIS people."  [Psalms (Tehillym ) 113. 7 - 8 Tanakh,  Kethuvim]   There is none other like our WONDERFUL ALL- WISE CREATOR, the GREATEST LOVER  of our soul.

MATTHEW 4

Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward he hungred.

THE SPIRIT'S LEADING

We always think that we are led into temptation, but before He started public ministry, Jesus was tested by the devil.

Sometimes God allows us to go into the wilderness, by the Spirit's leading. God does not lead us into temptation, but He allows it.

Look at Job. He allowed all of that to occur. His sovereignity was in full evidence; His full protection and providence was in evidence. God is and always will be in full control.

When God graciously allows us to go into a wilderness time, He is in complete control and you will come out of it stronger and better.

Do not fear these wilderness times.. it is the time where God becomes real and more relevant in our lives.

Like Jesus, you will defeat the devil. Like Job, your faith will be refined as gold and like the three friends of Daniel, you will come out not even smelling of smoke, as God permits.

God bless you

Keith

JEREMIAH 48

10 Cursed be he that doeth the work of the Lord deceitfully

Jeremiah is a man who spoke strong words. Even today, they come over with full force.

We are in an age where false teachers abound. They abounded in Jeremiah's day, telling the people they had no need to worry. They could sin as they wanted and God would protect them.. wrong.

Paul had to defend himself all through the book of 2 Corinthians. One of the greatest verses is in chapter 4 verse 2

But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God..

It is so easy to mix a little bit of falseness with truth, but we need to teach truth.. 100% truth.  God's word alone, should be our aim and our focus and every Christian and especially every Christian preacher should have 2 Corinthians 4:2 engraved on their mind and heart.

May we never use the word of deceitfully.. amen.

Let us renounce the hidden things of dishonesty and teach truth.. the precious truth of God's word.. amen.

Christian preachers.. make this verse in 2 Corinthians sink deep into your heart.

Remember Jeremiah's words.. if you use the word of God deceitfully you are cursed.

God bless you

Keith

Hello Everyone
You may wonder who this person is who keeps posting, my Name is Keith but everyone calls me KK. I am a British Christian living in Nanjing China. I am happily married to a wonderful Chinese lady called Helen, who is the leader of an unregistered Church. She is a science teacher at Public school and I am an English tutor. I hope and pray you enjoy what I post, especially the updates about China. Please pray for us, the situation is difficult, but not impossible. I have pledged to pray for all the Chinese minority people using the book Operation China by Paul Hattaway, please join me. Here is the link to the Joshua project website, which lists all the Minority people of China. I pray for the A-che people., many of these people are small in number, they have no one interceding for them at the throne of grace. Please would you do that individually, as a church or even as a group.

https://joshuaproject.net/countries/CH
if you have taken up this challenge to pray for a people group, please reply to this email, telling me which one

Please also be active on your group, I have noticed many groups are dormant, some haven't had posts for years, share and reply.. Let's build each other up in the most holy faith, even if it's just an Amen in reply to a post, that's all that matters.
I thank God for all of you, please continue to pray earnestly and fervently for the church in China, I will give you all the information you need, and also you can go and buy the books Operation China and Operation World, but if you do, you must use them.
Thanks and God bless you richly

Below is a short devotion and sermon.. enjoy

CHARLES SPURGEON

Love Your Neighbor

You shall love your neighbor. Matthew 5:43

"Love your neighbor." Perhaps he rolls in riches, and you are poor and living in your humble dwelling next-door to his mansion. Every day you see his estates, his fine clothes, and his extravagant parties. God has given him these gifts; covet not his wealth, and think no hard thoughts concerning him. Be content with what you have, if you cannot better it, but do not look upon your neighbor and wish that he was like you. Love him, and then you will not envy him.

Perhaps, on the other hand, you are rich, and the poor live nearby. Do not scorn to call them neighbors. Admit that you are bound to love them. The world calls them your inferiors. In what way are they inferior? They are far more your equals than your inferiors, for "He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth."1Your clothes are better than theirs, but you are in no way better than them. They are men, and what are you more than that? Pay attention that you love your neighbor even though he be in rags or sunken in the depths of poverty.

But perhaps you say, "I cannot love my neighbors because no matter what I do for them they respond with ingratitude and contempt." All the more reason for the heroism of love. Would you be a featherbed warrior instead of bearing the rough fight of love? He who dares the most shall win the most; and if the path of love is rough, tread it boldly, still loving your neighbors through thick and thin. Heap coals of fire on their heads, and if they are hard to please, do not seek to please them, but to please your Master; and remember if they spurn your love, your Master has not spurned it, and your deed is as acceptable to Him as if it had been acceptable to them..

Love your neighbor, for in so doing you are following the footsteps of Christ.

Cleric Warns Against Rapidly Growing Church

Source(s): International Christian ConcernDate: 21 March 2019

Islamic cleric, Hujjat al-Islam Naser Rafiei, delivered a speech in Qom, warning against the spread of Christianity throughout the country. He specifically named house churches and evangelical networks as an attraction for Iranian youth.

It has now been 40 years since the Islamic Revolution in Iran, which led to an oppressive Islamic theocracy. Today, many young people are becoming disillusioned with Islam and the harsh restrictions they face. As a result, the Gospel has been spreading rapidly, sweeping the country through satellite TV and the Internet, together with the ministry of house churches in communities.

Praise God for the work of His Holy Spirit in the lives of so many spiritually seeking Iranians! Pray for the continued outreach of the Gospel throughout the country -- whether via modern-day technology or personal evangelism -- despite the opposition facing His people.

Disabled Person Accused of Blasphemy

Source(s): Morning Star News, CLAAS, Barnabas Fund, Release International, VOMC SourcesDate: 21 March 2019
Photo: Barnabas Fund
Stephen, a Christian man suffering from mental impairment, has been arrested under the country's blasphemy laws after a neighbour overheard a family argument. On March 11th, the accused got into a heated discussion with his brother-in-law over fasting and prayer during Lent and ended up losing his temper, shouting loudly -- a common symptom of his disability. A neighbour overheard the argument, barged into the home, and began beating Stephen. When the family attempted to intervene, the neighbour claimed that Stephen had committed blasphemy.

As a result of the accusation, a mob formed, and Stephen -- along with his family -- was beaten. Police eventually intervened and took Stephen away, alleging it was for his safety. However, charges have now been laid and his family members are denied permission to see him. Since no official diagnosis was previously made, they are concerned that his disability may not be recognized by the court. The Centre for Legal Aid Assistance and Settlement (CLAAS) has taken on this case and is calling for an assessment to officially determine the extent of his condition.

Pakistan's blasphemy laws were brought to the forefront of international attention with the recent case of Asia Bibi. Unfortunately, many conflicting reports have spread since she was acquitted in October. We can assuredly state that Asia is not in Canada at this present time but rather under government protection in Pakistan. Despite recent news reports, her health is apparently sound. Asia's daughter Eisham is publicly appealing for Pakistan's prime minister to allow her mother permission to leave the country. Eisham is residing at an undisclosed location in Canada with her sister.
Pray for Stephen, along with many other believers who are imprisoned under charges for blasphemy. Remember this mentally challenged man's family and those advocating for his special needs. Also uphold Asia Bibi and her family, praying that this long-suffering mother will be permitted to leave the country now that she has been acquitted of all charges.

Attacks Against Christians Persist

Source(s): International Christian Concern, Morning Star NewsDate: 21 March 2019
Photo: World Watch Monitor
The violence against Christian communities in Nigeria continues unabated, resulting in dozens of deaths this February and March. As authorities seek how to effectively deal with the attacks, a West African court has ruled that, at least in one instance during 2016, Nigeria failed in its duty to protect citizens.

Danger comes from multiple directions. The Boko Haram terrorist group continues to oppress, though the number of incidents seems to be on the decline due to concerted pressure from various countries throughout West Africa. On March 14th, insurgents attacked the village of Ngurhlavu in Borno State. While most villagers safely escaped into the bush, six homes and a church were destroyed. One church member, Avi Lassa, was killed after stepping on an improvised explosive device the perpetrators had left behind. Two sisters, Stella and Plungwa Ibrahim, were also abducted.

The most devastating violence in recent months has been from the Fulani herdsmen. While some of their opposition comes from what they perceive as government imposition against their nomadic lifestyle, much of the resulting violence is targeted against Christians.

Kaduna State has been the centre for much of the recent opposition. In mid-February, more than 130 were killed. Since then, over 100 additional deaths were reported to have taken place within the state and hundreds of homes have been burned.

March 4th also brought an attack in Benue State, where more than 20 people were killed by gun or machete. Those who survived have been scattered while seeking safety. Back in 2016, Benue State was the setting of a horrific attack which has since resulted in international condemnation against the Nigerian authorities for their lack of response. The court of the Economic Community of West African States ruled this January that the Nigerian government failed to provide necessary protection for their citizens against attacks in Agatu by Fulani herdsmen. The previous surge of attacks, which began late February 2016, resulted in as many as 500 fatalities.

Prayerfully lift up the people of rural Nigeria who are facing this ongoing violence. Pray that the governing officials and police presiding over these areas will take necessary action to stop the violence and resolve the grievances of the Fulani. Pray for the many Nigerians who are now grieving the loss of loved ones, as well as those facing financial devastation due to their homes having been destroyed. Also remember the abducted victims presently in captivity, such as the two mentioned sisters, as well as Leah Sharibu, in addition to the more than 100 students still missing after the 2014 attack on the Chibok school.

Please pray for many people to come to church and to give financially to help us. Please pray that we would make an impact in our new complex. Every church in China needs divine protection, there are fines for owners letting out to churches and also incentives for reporting church activities. This is the largest unevangelized island on earth. Please pray that God would stir many Christians to go and reach the un-reached peoples.
Many natural disasters happen, so please pray that the believers would show God's radiant love at these difficult times.

PEOPLE NEEDS
Please pray for the Batak people especially around the area of Lake Toba. We visited this beautiful area last year. Please pray for a powerful revival among them. Many of the peoples such as the Batak, Karo and Dairi are Christian, but the Angkola are strongly Muslim.
Please pray, as much church life is nominal and mixed with occult practices..
The Chinese are a significant minority, especially in Medan, but there are many Muslim's and Buddhists also. Please pray that the Chinese Christians would catch a vision for the needy souls around them.
The 3.8 million Aceh people are almost entirely Muslim. They are a very devout and need Christ. Please pray God would raise up workers to go this desperately needy group.

Many people in Northern Sumatra are completely un-reached, such as the Gayo, Tamiang and  Mandialing, who have no known Christians among them. Please pray for a move of God. Please pray that workers may be called to this work. Simeulue Island is completely Muslim and the only group with any Christian witness is the Angkola with 3% Christians.
The Minangkabau-Rejang number over 8 million and are educated and knowledgeable, but all they know is Islam. There are fewer than 1000 believers. Please pray for the formation of a church among them.
Other groups such as the Rejang and Kerinci number nearly 1 million, but have little witness and there are no resources to reach them.

REJANG

Eastern and Southern Sumatra has many needy groups such as the Deli, Jambi and Melayu Riau. There are handfuls of believers, and need workers to go to them, as they won't go to the church. The Jambi are in deep need, and many live outside Sumatra, so please pray for them.
JAMBI
https://joshuaproject.net/people_groups/12318/ID

The Muslim people of the Central and Southern area such as the Lembak and Enim, have a few believers, but the Ogan, and Kaur among others remain totally un-reached.
The Lampung people in the South are resentful of newcomers especially from Java. There is no active churches among them, and there are several people groups among them. Please see below.

LAMPUNG ANGUR

These people are virtually all Muslim. Every village has a mosque and the people are trapped in this false teaching. Please pray that this bondage is totally broken and that a Lampung church becomes a reality.
These people need help with their agricultural practices, so please pray that many Christians would be called to help them and may they share the love of Jesus with them.
They don't yet have the bible in any form. Please pray that Bible translation would start and the word of God would cut their chains of ignorance and unbelief.
Pray that other groups in Indonesia and elsewhere, would be concerned enough to pray and to go to them.

GOD BLESS YOU

In God We Trust

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. - Romans 8:28 NKJV.

…And they went to the country of Moab and remained there. Then Elimelech, Naomi’s husband, died; and she was left, and her two sons. Now they took wives of the women of Moab: the name of the one was Orpah, and the name of the other Ruth. And they dwelt there about ten years. Then both Mahlon and Chilion also died; so the woman survived her two sons and her husband. - Ruth 1:2b-5 NKJV.

So Boaz took Ruth and she became his wife; and when he went in to her, the Lord gave her conception, and she bore a son. Then the women said to Naomi, “Blessed be the Lord, who has not left you this day without a close relative; and may his name be famous in Israel!” - Ruth 4:13-14 NKJV.

The admissions director at the University of California at San Diego made a big mistake when she welcomed by email 29,000 or so applicants who had actually been rejected. The welcome email was only intended to be sent to those students who had actually been accepted by the University. Can you imagine the confusion of the students who received the email congratulating them on their acceptance, and then receiving a second email stating their rejection?

It is often difficult to handle rejection; however, those students turned down by UCSD may find a better path for their lives as a result. About 12 years ago (19 years ago now), I was a bi-vocational pastor searching for that second vocation to be able to survive financially. I had a job interview for employment for a very similar position to the one I had held in the past.. I was very hopeful that I would be employed. I fasted and prayed for more than a week about this job and I received confirmation from the Lord that He had heard my prayers. However, I was not hired, but at the same time I was encouraged knowing that this was apparently God’s will for my life. The bi-vocational pastorate turned out to be more full-time than part - time, although I did some substitute teaching which I enjoyed. With 12 years of life experience since the rejection of my job application, I am thankful that I was rejected. I am thankful, because I would not be writing these devotionals if I had been hired for that position. I am also thankful because I know that God protected me from going down the wrong path with my life.

There are more difficult things that can happen to us in life than being rejected by a college, or not getting the job that we wanted. Naomi and Ruth experienced one of those more difficult things, their husbands died. Even though this terrible thing happened in the lives of both women, Naomi was faithful to the Lord, and Ruth followed her mother-in-law’s example. As a result Ruth is in the human genealogy of our Lord Jesus, and she became the great-grandmother of King David. Although God did not cause the tragedies to happen, He surely brought good out of the death of their husbands. He brought good out of it as Naomi and Ruth faithfully followed the will of God for their lives step by step, day by day.

In my own family, my great-grandfather’s (Draper Wrather’s) first wife passed away soon after their only child, a daughter was born (That daughter died when she was 14-years-old from a ruptured appendix.). He then married a woman (Francis Raynes Campbell Wrather) whose first husband had died (Her son by her first husband died when he was 20-years-old from Tuberculosis.). I know that my great-grandmother was a godly woman who had much influence for good upon her family. One of her sons, my grandfather, his first wife (my grandmother) passed away before I was born. He then married a godly woman whose example and prayers are still impacting my life. As I have researched the genealogy of my family, nearly every line has faced family tragedies.

When the bad things happen in our lives we are encouraged to remain faithful. In 1 Corinthians 15:58 the apostle Paul encourages us with these words, “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” “In God We Trust” is not just a motto; it is God’s will for our lives in good times, and in bad times. Trusting in God is always the eternally right decision..

A Prayer For Today

Lord of all Glory, hear my humble prayer

As I offer praise to Your majesty and might.

I thank You for the million miracles of each day

And for the quiet beauty born each night.

I pray that disputes, discord, and all wars

May cease because of Your great might

And thinking men rejoice and know ~

Understand what You set as right.

Bequeath to those in power, over us,

A sure and stable mind.

Yea, Lord, let them stand in awe,

Realizing You in every quest we find.

Bless mankind with Your presence everywhere;

In microscope, in galaxies, in swirls

Of Your creation that cannot be denied ~

Anywhere in Your worlds.

Let peace fall like a gentle fog o'er all the earth.

Let men seek ultimate truth and find Your love,

Eyes of understanding, ears that hear Your call;

Lives to always imitate the properties above.

Be with us while we pass this year.

Keep us from needing to have fear.

Fling wide the flood gates of our hearts

So we will never be apart.

In Jesus Name,

Amen.

PERSECUTED CHURCH NEWS

Violent Attacks Against Christians

Source(s): Forum 18Date: 14 March 2019

Photo: Wikimedia/Vmenkov (cc)
In October 2018, a young Christian, Eldos Sattar uuly, sustained a broken jaw and other injuries after a violent attack in the Issyk-Kul Region of Kyrgyzstan (seethis report). While those responsible were charged, they were sentenced to house arrest, which is not being enforced.

Problems have continued for Christians in the area. People in the village of Tamchi report continuing attacks against them from December through to February. In the most recent incident, a Muslim from the village was also beaten by ten people because he was a good friend of Eldos. There are rumours that local militants plan to destroy the homes of Christians in Tamchi and two other nearby villages.

According to reports from the area, Eldos and his uncle Nurbek Esenaly uuly have left in fear. When Eldos' lawyer complained about the inaction of the authorities, she was threatened with charges against her for "inciting religious conflict and sowing discord among people."

Remember those in Kyrgyzstan who are being wrongly mistreated, accused and beaten. May Eldos, his uncle Nurbek, and others who have fled for safety find the refuge and rest they need. Pray for God's righteousness and justice to be upheld, and that the work of the Gospel will be able to continue in Tamchi and throughout the region.

Since the arrest of over 100 members of the Early Rain Covenant Church in December, authorities have continued to charge, detain and harass Christians associated with the church. For more information on the original raid, click here.

One member, Pan Fei, has been arrested several times since the original attack. After the first time he was detained, interrogated and released, he moved to a new home. Yet, he continued to be harassed by the local authorities who frequently broke into his residence.

Due to government pressure, Pan Fei was also fired from his job at the Yong Hui shopping mall. Early this month, he managed to find a new job. However, on March 4th, he mysteriously disappeared and, at last report, there had been no communication with friends or family. The Early Rain Covenant Church has requested prayer for him: "We pray fervently for this lamb who has been captured and separated from the Lord Jesus Christ's flock. May God's Spirit be with him and protect his body and soul!"

Please join with these church members in praying for Pan Fei. May he be protected from harm and safely returned to his concerned family and friends soon. Pray for the many other believers who are still being detained in prison -- including Pastor Wang Yi and his wife, both of whom have been accused of "inciting to subvert state power."

Pastor Beaten Unconscious

An underground pastor in eastern Kenya, near the Somali border, was severely beaten on the night of March 8th. Muslim militants assaulted him with wooden clubs, leaving him unconscious and with a broken leg, bruises and other injuries.

Pastor Abdul (surname withheld for security reasons) is a 30-year-old father of three. He serves as pastor to an underground church consisting of 30 former Muslims who, for safety, meet in small groups on varying days. He was on his way home after a prayer gathering on the outskirts of Garissa when several Somali Muslims attacked him. Most ethnic Somalis believe that all people of their nationality must adhere to Islam.

Speaking from his hospital bed, Abdul stated: "I'm almost unable to bear the pain. My family is in great fear, and Christians have located us to another place. Our prayer for now is to get a safe place for my family. My life, and that of my family, is at stake."

Please pray for the safety of Abdul and his family. May the Kenyan authorities be able to maintain peace and safety for all citizens in this volatile area of their country. Ask the "Great Physician" to minister to the wounds Abdul incurred during the attack so they will heal quickly and completely. May the Lord also enable him to continue fulfilling his pastoral ministry in the new location, providing further opportunities to reach others with the salvation message. Pray that the Somalis living in eastern Kenya will personally experience the love and grace of Christ and, as a result, turn to Him in faith.

2 TIMOTHY 4
I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.5 As for you, always be sober-minded,endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

PREACH THE WORDPaul is finishing his instructions to his beloved Timothy as he is nearing the end of life. What does he tell him?He charges him to do something... he sees as so important: preach of the word of God!God will be our judge at the end of time; even now He is watching His church to see if His word is being faithfully proclaimed. So often it is being watered down, but He is watching and He will judge. All preachers and teachers are under the microscope of God. The preacher is being judged, not by his church members, not by other preachers, but by God himself. The pulpit is a lonely place; there is just you and God, it's just you and the Holy Spirit. That is why the preacher needs to be a man of prayer, E.M. Bounds said, "Light praying make for light preaching."Preach the word; all of it, and don't leave out the hard parts. It's not what a preacher says sometimes, but it is what he doesn't say. We have to preach the whole counsel of God: to reprove, rebuke, to teach and to exhort. Note reprove and rebuke are first on this list, but sadly, many churches put this last, when it should be first. The preacher goes with with the current evangelical fad/church growth concept, and want to preach the love of God, but the preacher must preach the wrath of God for sin and the reality of hell, even though it is not popular, with His love. The preaching of the Word is for the stouthearted, because people are seeking something to tickle their ears. People today are not responsive to strong meat and sound doctrine, they will follow false teachers such as Joel Osteen and Joseph Prince like lemmings jumping off a cliff. In verse 5, Paul reminds Timothy, that when this happens, he is to be sober minded and to endure suffering. When you preach the gospel, you have to have your wits about you and you will be criticised for the preaching  of the truth.Paul counsels Timothy to continue to fulfill his ministry; keep sharing the gospel, and all of Scripture. Make this your end goal. He goes on to talk about that he has fulfilled his ministry in verses 6-9 and urges Timothy to do the same.CHRISTIAN PREACHER:Are you preaching the whole counsel of God?In your preaching, do you reprove and rebuke?Do you preach truth, whether your church members like it or not?Are you fulfilling your ministry? Are you doing the work of an evangelist or messenger?
Are you preaching the word, the whole word and nothing but the word?God is watching and he and he and he alone will judge
God bless,
KK
NEHEMIAH 217 Then I said to them, “You see the trouble we are in, how Jerusalem lies in ruins with its gates burned. Come, let us build the wall of Jerusalem, that we may no longer suffer derision.” 18 And I told them of the hand of my God that had been upon me for good, and also of the words that the king had spoken to me. And they said, “Let us rise up and build.” So they strengthened their hands for the good work.

THE CAN-DO-MANTimes were bad in Jerusalem. The walls were broken down; Nehemiah had returned and he was a man on a mission. He inspects the walls, and is eager to do something. He is not going to be put off by Tobiah and his friends and some of the people who were compromising. It only takes one man/woman who has a passion to fan the flames of revival in a city or neighbourhood. Nehemiah was a can-do-man. He saw the state of the walls and was determined that the walls must be re-built.Nehemiah is an inspiring person; he said the encouraging words God had said to him and he inspired others. But also he saw the state of the walls, and saw that the Jews were being laughed at and held in derision, this made his blood boil, so to speak.Does the state of the church today make you take action?
When you see the walls of the church broken down, what is your reaction?Do you care or do you have the reaction of Nehemiah? There are too many can't-do people in the church today; you can't do this, you may upset our neighbours, you can't speak out the truths of God's word, it might rock the boat in society. One of my favourite sermons is called, "Preaching Outside the Pulpit," by Todd Friel. It encourages pastors and their church members to get out and open air preach. Some maybe can't, but others can, but won't. Most Christian evangelism is not done on Sunday, or during the week by Christians living their lives and going to the world in love. Jesus said GO, yet so many can't-go Christians are in our churches. We need to rebuild the walls in our schools, communities and towns/cities, so let's get out and share the gospel. There will be people in our churches that will say, you can't do that, but let the can-do-Christians, just do it... Amen.In my home town in the UK, every Saturday morning, there is a small group of seven or eight dedicated believers who share the gospel week after week, but where are the others? They are there when there is some Christian event and will gladly come to church and give God one morning per week. But they are can't-do Christians... "Oh I can't do that! What would people think of me. I cant be seen giving out tracts or sharing the gospel on the street, what would people say?"Answer: They would call you a fool for ChristIt is time to arise and rebuild the walls, so that the church is not held in derision anymore. It is time to be like Nehemiah and to be a can-do Christian and inspire and encourage others. Are you a can-do Christian or a cant-do christian?God bless you,
kk

2 CORINTHIANS 4

17 For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, 18  as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

IN THE LIGHT OF ETERNITY
Some of us are going through very difficult times; persecution is happening to us, illness surrounds us or maybe it is the loss of a close family member of friend.
God understands the pain of what we are going through. He knows our pain and our suffering. He knew the suffering and pain the apostle Paul went through and he knows yours... amen.
In Chapter 1:8, Paul states that the burden on him almost drove him to complete despair. So what is it that kept him from despairing of his very life in 1:8?
Surely we have the answer in these verses in chapter 4. He, like us, is looking forward to heaven which will be beyond all comparison. Compared to heaven and the glory that is going to be revealed, these small inconveniences of suffering are nothing.
Everything that hurts us down here on earth is not going to be in heaven: pain, despair, illness, all will be banished. This is why Paul can look at his sufferings and say in Romans 8:
18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.

To do this, we need to have the eternal perspective and look at the unseen things and not the things that we can see. Remember everything we see here here on earth will pass away; it is not going to last.
We need to focus on where we are going and that is to glory. We need to focus on heaven and the glory that we will be revealed in us. We will have new perfect bodies, we will see Jesus as He is and we will serve Him.
Every piece of suffering for Jesus is worth it, because it pales in comparison to the glory of heaven, which one day we will see... Amen. I once heard my former pastor, Richard, who was dying of cancer say this:
It's worth it church.Jesus is worth it.It's worth going through anything.Even through cancer.
He died shortly afterwards, I echo his words... IT IS WORTH IT
Have you got an eternal perspective? Are you focusing on things seen or unseen? Can you say like Paul, the words of Romans 8:18?
God bless you,
KK

2 Corinthians 5
9 So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him.

PLEASING GOD
What is your aim in your Christian life?
Some people use Christianity to get to  Heaven. Some people use Christianity to receive healing. Some people use Christianity to get money and popularity. Some people use Christianity to receive blessings.
Paul was interested in one thing and that is outlined in this verse. In every single situation, Paul wanted to please God. In every decision he made, he made that decision on the basis of whether that decision would please God.
We have a well known initial called WWJD,  which means What Would Jesus Do? We what would He do, what was the aim of Jesus?
It was to do the will of the Father or to put it another way; His aim was to please the Father. If it was Jesus's aim to please the Father, how much more should it be our aim.
So what does please God?
God's will is for our sanctification, 1 Thessalonians 4:1-6 and for us to grow in grace, 2 Peter 3:18. If we are growing in grace, then that pleases God.
To please God, you also need to be continually growing. Stagnation or backsliding does not please God. The five bad churches in Revelation thought they were pleasing God, but they were stagnating and backsliding.

Let me finish with the main way you can please God, from 2 Corinthians 7:1:
Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God.

God would be very pleased if you did what it says in this verse: Get rid of the things that displease Him. See Galatians 5:15-20 and replace those things with Galatians 5:22-23.
Are you pleasing God or pleasing yourself?
God bless you,
KK

DEVOTIONS

CHARLES SPURGEON

"My beloved." — Song of Songs 2:8

This was a golden name which the ancient Church in her most joyous moments was accustomed to give to the Anointed of the Lord. When the time of the singing of birds was come, and the voice of the turtle-dove was heard in her land, her love-note was sweeter than either, as she sang, "My beloved is mine—and I am His!" Ever in her song of songs, does she call Him by that delightful name, "My beloved!" Even in the long winter, when idolatry had withered the garden of the Lord, her prophets found space to lay aside their burden for a little season, and to say, as Elijah did, "Now will I sing to my well-beloved, a song of my beloved." Though the saints had never seen His face, though as yet He was not made flesh, nor had dwelt among us, nor had man beheld His glory—yet He was the consolation of Israel, the hope and joy of all the chosen, the "beloved" of all those who were upright before the Most High God.

We, in the summer days of the Church, are also accustomed to speak of Christ as the best beloved of our soul, and to feel that He is very precious, the "chief among ten thousand, and the altogether lovely one." So true is it, that the Church loves Jesus, and claims Him as her beloved, that the apostle dares to defy the whole universe to separate her from the love of Christ, and declares that neither persecutions, distress, affliction, peril, or the sword have been able to do it! Nay, he joyously boasts, "In all these things—we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us!"

O that we knew more of You, O ever precious one! My sole possession is Your love! In earth beneath, or heaven above—I have no other treasure! I ask for nothing more.

Ecclesiastes  12

13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.14 For God shall bring every work into judgement, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.PUTTING EVERYTHING INTO PERSPECTIVESolomon is probably the richest man who ever lived. His kingdom was the high point of Israel's prosperity.  This book is often overlooked, but it is so valuable. Solomon wrote this at the end of his life. He was now an old man; he had it all - money, prestige, popularity, and more, yet says everything is vanity. The last words he speaks are so telling; what really matters Solomon? He makes his conclusion on life.
His conclusion was that it is the duty of man to fear God and keep His commandments. Are you fearing God and have you kept His commandments? This is what truly matters, but we can't keep His commandments.  No one ever has and no one can, except for One!  This is why we need to call out to Jesus by faith, and trust Him because He fulfilled what we never can - perfect obedience.God sees everything and will judge everything. He never misses anything, and He will bring everything out into the open. The purpose of your life is to fear God and keep His commandments, by His grace out of love. Why? Because, though God is the judge and will judge everything, He first loved you, and we love Him and show it in our lives.God bless youKK
1 CORINTHIANS 323 And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.
WHAT A PROMISEThe Church is Corinth was filled with strife; it had cults of personality. This was the first problem Paul addressed in his letter. Here is a very precious promise for the believer: we have exceedingly great and promises... amen. Every promise we have has God's seal on it, because God said it. I know that promise is true and therefore I can trust it.It is a plural and personal promise, "ye are." We are held by God Himself. Jesus bought us with His precious blood and therefore because Christ and the Father are in perfect unity, whatever is Christ's is also the property of the Father. We are bought by Jesus, loved by the Father and sealed by the Spirit... Amen!It is a permanent promise. All God's promises are yes and amen. When God makes a promise, it cannot be reversed.  It is a powerful promise. Why are these promises given to us? To increase our faith and to help us grow closer to God. The more we trust God's promises, the stronger our faith, becomes as we know that He and He alone can be trusted. It is a potent promise. It can be used against the enemy. If the devil comes against me, placing doubts about my salvation, I quote this verse saying I am Christ's. It is a precious promise. The more you lean on the promises of God, the more precious they become. We know their reality in our life and we know that we can trust them. This is one of the many promises in the Bible. As you continue to read His word, get to know the promises that God makes to you.Remember this:Ye are Christ's.. And nothing can change that fact!!THATS A PROMISEGOD BLESS YOU,
KK

CHINESE DEVOTION
The Wednesday Word

The Gospel: Our Best Friend.
D G Miles McKee

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Hebrews 9:14.

We often feel that we are not worth saving …  and this, of course, is an accurate assessment. As Spurgeon said, “When you feel yourself as totally unworthy you have hit the truth.” That is why, as we grow in grace, the Gospel is our best friend.

Let me illustrate. The story is told of how the devil sought to discourage the mighty reformer Martin Luther by continually making him feel guilty.  Satan, it seems constantly reminded the great preacher of the list of his sins. When the devil had finished, Luther purportedly said, “Think harder: you must have forgotten some.” And the devil did think, and he listed more sins. When he was done enumerating the sins, Luther said, “Now, with a red ink write over that list, “The blood of Jesus Christ, God’s Son, cleanses us from all sin.” The devil had nothing to say in the light of Luther’s best friend … the Gospel.

As we look by faith to the Lord Jesus, and see His shed blood, we find healing for our wounded conscience.   By faith, we understand that His blood has satisfied all claims that unalterable divine justice made against us.

The Gospel is our best friend.

Our sins have been purged perfectly by a perfect offering made with perfect blood. These are the truths to continually feed to the troubled conscience..
If we are regularly condemned by the consciousness of our past sins, we have an evil conscience (Hebrews 10:22).  However, the Gospel gives us a perfect conscience that is free from the guilt and condemnation of sins.

The Gospel is our best friend.

I will admit that the legalist in me is sometimes uncomfortable with this arrangement.  Maybe you are like me, resistant, at times, to the accomplishments of grace? This is why we need to continually saturate our minds with the Gospel. When we find ourselves more conscious of our former sins than we are of the accomplishments of Christ on our behalf, we need to cleanse our thinking by applying Finished Work teaching to our thinking.

The Gospel is our best friend.

Do you know that your sins are forgiven? Someone says, “I can’t say that they are, but I am doing my best to change my life.” That’s great, but it will never work! You can do your best to reform, but that will never purge your conscience. Only applying the blood of Christ can do that.

The Gospel is our best friend.

Christ, as a man, was the Servant of Yahweh, the one in whom the Father delighted. It was the Father’s purpose to save and cleanse a people for Himself, and His plans were flawlessly executed by His beloved Son, the God/Man. It is only by the shedding of His blood that we are saved, and that blood was shed 2000 years ago at Calvary. The work is finished. He gave His life a ransom for the sins of His people (Isaiah 53:10).  Do you know this? Is this truly personal to you?
Our best religious efforts cannot cleanse the conscience. But the Lord wants us to hear him say “Be of good cheer; your sins, which are many, are forgiven” (Matthew 9:2).
What can prevent us going to Him? Our sins?  No, it is our sin that is the reason to approach Him.  Let us go to Him with freedom of speech (see Hebrews 4:16) to obtain mercy and grace to help in the time of need. He alone can purge the guilty conscience and give peace to the troubled mind.

The Gospel is our best friend.

And that’s the Gospel Truth!

K and H. continue to pray for our little church, we have a special meeting for the men on Saturday, please pray that many men would come and be touched by the power of the gospel. Please pray for the safety of the one who will share, please pray for the pastors and church leaders in China that they would not compromise the truth of the gospel and that they would preach Christ and Him Crucified. Please pray that god would raise up many workers to go the many minority peoples still untouched by the gospel, some like the ones below are very small, please take time to click on the links and pray for them and also listen to the two short messages. These people cannot pray for themselves, please intercede for them

DEL
A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The conscience is a delicate instrument which becomes deranged by misuse.

YES & AMEN
"For all the promises of GOD in HIM are YES! and in HIM AMEN! to the glory of GOD through us." [2 Corinthi ans 1.20]
The word "Amen" ; is a most remarkable word; it was translated directly from the Hebrew word "aman" ; which is related to the word for believe or  faithful.   Therefore, it came to mean "sure,  truly, so it will be" an expression of absolute trust and confidence.

Also in the Hebrew interpretation,  Amen is an acrostic — "EL MELECH  NE'EMAN" ;  or, " The LORD is a TRUSTWORTHYKING. " Blessed be HE and blessed be the GLORIOUS NAME OF THE LORD forever and ever!  "Let the NAME of YEHOWAH be blessed now and forever. From east (rising of  the sun) to west (its going  down) the NAME of YEHOWAH is praised."  [Psalms (Tehillym ) 113. 2 - 3 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

One of the titles of MESSIAH YESHUA  is "THE  AMEN."  In the Book of Revelation, the last of HIS Letters to the seven churches begins with a distinguished greeting from the GLORIFIED LORD:  "These things says the AMEN, the FAITHFUL and TRUE WITNESS,  the BEGINNING of the creation of GOD." [Revelati on 3. 14]   We can be absolutely certain that HIS WORD is always faithful  and true, because HE is the CREATOR of all things, HE is our "ETERNALAME N."

Every promise of the LORD GOD in CHRIST  JESUS is " YES! & AMEN! " — as strong an affirmation of truth as can be expressed in a language.  Therefore, it is extremely meaningful that the HOLY SCRIPTURES  close with a thunderousAMEN! "The grace of our LORD JESUS be with you all. Amen!" [ Revelation 22. 21]   All who read these LIFE-GIVINGWords can know beyond all reasoning that the entire BOOK of books is absolutely true and trustworthy. Amen!  Read andbelieve  (obey), it is the GREATEST  MESSAGE (REVEALED  TRUTH) ever told!  "Blessed be YEHOWAH ELOHEY  of Israel forevermore, from eternity to eternity! Amen and Amen." [ Psalms (Tehillym)  41. 13; 89. 52 Tanakh, Kethuvim] There is indescribable overwhelming joy in obeying and serving the LOVING LORD GOD OF THE UNIVERSE

Coffee Break
"Time To Change The Subject"
"Therefore I will not refrain my mouth; I will speak in the anguish of my spirit; I will complain in the bitterness of my soul." Job 7:11
As you watch the news you realize that if something wasn't happening- a storm, an election, a murder trial, a custody battle, a war, etc- they wouldn't have anything to talk about. When something does make "news" , the reporters "run it in the ground" , that is ALL they talk about. It seems as if the world stopped and nothing else is taking place. Every minute on every channel is consumed with it as the main, and only, topic. I wondered what they would have to talk about if there was nothing bad going on to talk about?
Sadly, there are a lot of people- even in the church- who are like this. If there isn't something "bad" happening, they don't have anything to talk about. They spend all their time talking about the trouble they are going through, or have been through. It's the only subject that comes out of their mouth. Each time you see them, they repeat it to you.. over and over again. You ask them how they are and they go right back to this same subject. You always know what they are going to say before they say it.
I am not trying to be critical. I know that very real things happen to us. I know that there are times we need to relate what we are going through. I know that sometimes we need a compassionate hear to listen. This is not what I am talking about. What I am talking about is deeper than that. It has become a "security blanket" to them. And even deeper-- it's become a bondage. They reach a point where they can't talk about anything else. If that is you--- it's time to break free. It's time to leave it in the past. It's time to develop a new habit of talking. It's time to get a new subject. There is so much more to talk about. God desires that our mouths be full of words that edify, minister, comfort and exhort others. It's time to put the law of kindness in your mouth. It's time to fill it with good things. It's time to fill it with words of faith that tend to life. It's time to fill it with words of peace, wisdom and joy. It's time to fill it with praise, adoration and thanksgiving to the Lord. It's time to talk more about the grace, forgiveness, mercy, goodness and faithfulness of God. There are a thousand other things you can fill your mouth with, and it's time to do it.
Have a great day. Is it time to change the subject?

There are so many lean Christians who devour hundreds of sermons!

(Edmund Calamy, 1600–1666)

"His delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law he meditates day and night." Psalm 1:2

"I meditate  on Your precepts and consider Your ways." Psalm 119:15

It is not merely hearing a sermon that does you good, but meditating on what you hear. So when you hear a sermon, if you do not meditate and ponder upon what you hear, you will never get any good.

There are so many lean Christians who devour hundreds of sermons--and are never any better, never any fatter in grace. They never meditate, ponder and consider what they hear--that is the reason why they are so lean in grace.

Pray unto God to enlighten your understandings, to quicken your devotion, to warm your affections-- that by meditation on holy things . . .
you may be made more holy,
you may have your lusts more mortified,
you may have your graces more increased,
you may better behold the vanity of the world,
you may lifted up to Heaven and eternal realities.

"Meditate  upon these things." 1 Timothy 4:15
