Formulae of healing which Preachers misuse

Mark 8:23,24 And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the
town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he
asked him if he saw ought. And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees,

In Countries like Nigeria, USA and now also spread to India, we find some
charismatic Preachers doing crazy things and healing people. They walk over
people, hit people where they need healing, lashing at them with their
coats, getting people to roll on the floor laughing, do real crazy stuff,
yet we see healings do take place (but no change in people’s hearts).

Before becoming a Believer I was a Catholic and part of a charismatic
ministry and we saw so many miracles and healings happening even though
people had no understanding of scriptures and did not really know God. We
also find lots of healings happening when a famous Preacher has a great
event with a large worship team but these same Preachers when their near
dear ones have personal problems they struggle to get them healed. The
testimony of Smith Wigglesworth a famous Preacher of early 1900s is worth
reading for it gives an understanding to this since he was very famous for
healing people by hitting them where they needed healing. Later his own
wife died of sickness for he could not heal her, he then understood it was
not his theatrical that healed them but it was faith that did.

Jesus always said faith healed and those who were strong in faith like the
Roman Commander, Jesus only had to speak and his servant who was far away
was healed. At times it is faith in God or in the Man of God or in that
which is done in the name of God that heals. Laying of hands or putting oil
is not necessary to heal (many just touch with finger and heal) but since
physical touch or actions encourage the person to build faith (in the
person healing or that what they do) it gets the job done. Preaching the
Word, worship, sharing of testimonies (anointing with olive oil actually
means sharing testimony) or long praying with cries are the most common
means by which faith can be increased for the healing.

Today’s message and scriptures like Mark 7:32-37 we see Jesus did not
plainly speak or lay hands and heal the person. When Jesus cursed/warned of
disaster people like the Pharisees, Sadducees and that of certain places we
see He spoke of people of these places where the events happened. These
people had no faith (Mark 7: 32-37 region of Tyre, Mark 8: 21-25 Bethsaida
of Galilee).

Like faith helps in healing so also faithlessness can hinder healing. Jesus
had to take the person out of the vicinity of faithlessness and also do
non-standard things just to break the faithlessness so as to get the
healing done.

Preachers use the formulae for healing people and people think it is the
power/ anointing of the Man of God that did these incredible healings.

What heals is God’s mercy and this mercy can be accessed either by
suffering and pleading with God over a long period or immediately by faith
(which means believing in the truth). Psalms 85:10 shares this great secret
of the two Siamese twins, where one can be got by tapping into the other.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and a Merciful God. Your Mercy can not be taken for
granted and You said You will have mercy (in varying quantities) on whom
You desire. But this mercy is available to us if we have faith. Since Truth
was revealed through Jesus Christ we see grace (all the mercy required)
also came through Him. Lord we pray we are not deceived by Preachers we
misuse their anointing or understanding of scriptures to mislead people for
worldly desires...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

21 And he said unto them, How is it that ye do not understand?

Mark 7:32-37

that is, Be opened.
35 And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was

36 And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he

Acts 19:11-12
11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:

own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.

6 And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the
villages, teaching.

Psalms 85:10 Mercy and truth are met together; Righteousness and peace
have kissed each other.

Judge not another man’s servant

Romans 14: 4 Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own
master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able
to make him stand.

Today’s message does not speak against judging but says we have no right to
judge another man’s servant symbolizing here as those who worship other

Does that means we can judge those who are Christians?

The answer is YES and NO.

YES: The Greek word translated as judge here is ‘kirno’ which actually
means to separate, in other words discern. We are called to discern those
who call themselves Christians but do not live a Christian lives. Those who
deceive others to follow carnal things or even other gods under the hood of
Christian traditions / (false) teachings. That does not mean we condemn
them outright in public. First we are called to warn them in private if
they do not mend their ways then we take two or more brethren and speak to
them and if that too does not bear fruit, then address them before the
Church and yet they do not repent of their ways, we are simply called to
declare them as non-Christians and let the Church be mindful of their ways.

NO: What we are NOT called to do is judge them as going to Hell. We cannot
sit in the Judgment Throne of Christ for He alone is found worthy as Son of
Man to sit in judgment of souls. If we do that then we too are in danger of
losing the grace that saves us since they could be people like Saul of NT
who changed when the Lord touched him, or even Saul of the OT who repented
on his last moment of death for Samuel to tell him that he and his sons
would be with him and David to respect Saul as Man of God even when the
Holy Spirit had left Saul.

The verse Matthew 5:22 where Jesus says those who say ‘you fool’ or ‘racca’
are in danger of council and hell fire respectively does not means the
English terms ‘fool’ or ‘rascal’. The Greek root meanings of these words
are those who do not have a spirit (spiritually dead / condemned to Hell)
and the other means those who have an evil spirit.

We ourselves cannot condemn a person to Hell nor state he or she has an
evil spirit unless the Lord reveals it to us; this too needs to be confirms
very carefully that it is not our spirit but the Holy Spirit speaking to us
knowing the dangers of making a mistake.

Coming to unbelievers Bible says they are already judged and they will
suffer their doings in Hell so we are no one to judge them. We can only
warn them of the judgment so that they know God, accept Him and be saved.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You alone are God. You created all beings that live.
Even though You created them You do not impart death or eternal life to
them, You allow them to make a choice of life or death. You Lord only judge
those who know You and have received your Word. It is your Word and your
Spirit that exposes their hearts and condemns them before You. We pray Lord
we know between judging and discerning and know whom to discern in
accordance to your Word...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

3 Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him

4 Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he
standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make
him stand.
5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day

11 For it is written, [As] I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to
me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather,
that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in [his] brother’s

without? do not ye judge them that are within?

without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say
to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever
shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

Truth comes from the Holy Spirit

John 7:40 Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said,
Of a truth this is the Prophet.

Yesterday’s message was strong meat, so also is today’s message.

I have mentioned before about the 3 Fruits of the Spirit - Truth,
Righteousness and Holiness which are not mentioned in Galatians 5:22-23 but
mentioned in Ephesians 5:9. These 3 unlike the 9 are purely gifted to us
from the Holy Spirit, Son and Father respectively (some 9 Fruits need to be
grown though they in some quantity can be received as gifts for a period).

Today’s scripture talks of people noticing truth in the speech of Jesus
even though they had not received the Holy Spirit and thus called Him a

Like in a ‘Treasure Hunt’ game one needs to find the first treasure and
then only can find the second and thereafter the third and so on...
Similarly unless we do not have the Truth we will not receive Righteousness
and without Truth and Righteousness we cannot receive Holiness.
Righteousness means to be in right standing with God and if we do not know
God, His Kingdom fully can we claim to be in right standing? That is why
the more we know the truth the more we are able to walk in the path of the
truth and thus be righteous. But this righteousness is just an image of the
true righteous of the Son since it will come only when the Truth is
complete in us.

God alone is Holy. Holiness means perfection / complete and no being is
perfect. God the Son, when He humbled Himself / gave up His glory and
became man said He is not perfect. The Son experienced corruption when a
third of the Angels fell. Perfection / Holiness is not about having or not
having sin but about being complete. Sin corrupts the spirit being thus
does not allow holiness. Nothing corrupt can dwell before Holiness for it
will not live.

Bible says no being (including the Angels) has seen the Father other than
the Son before He humbled Himself (it is believed no being can dwell before
the Father unless he is Holy). Man who had access to Heaven was deprived
when he lost the Fruit of Truth and Righteousness after eating of the Tree
of Good and Bad (Doubt).

People mistake holiness with purity, one can be pure yet not holy.
Cleanliness and completeness are two different things. Perfection needs
purity but one can attain purity without perfection.

Jesus as man was without sin and even though He had the complete image of
God in Him yet was not complete for He had given up His glory and humbled
Himself. At the end when He finishes His task of restoring renewed man’s
access to Heaven and becoming one in Him, He will receive back His glory
from the Father and becoming one with the Father He will be complete again.
When we read Genesis 3:22 will this understanding the scripture explodes to
reveal when the Son humbled Himself and how man could stand before God (the
Son) and yet not die.

Bible says at the end we will be not only restored to God the Son (become
Heavenly Angels / The Heavenly Temple restored) but will also become one
with the Father (we along with the Heavenly Angels). Proverbs 8:22-33
captures this partly, very beautifully.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and there is none other than You. A part of You humbled
and created man so as to restore the Heavenly Temple. Mere man who is like
worm is lifted up and made higher than an Angel to be partaker of your
glory. Lord we pray this understanding be rooted in us so that overcoming
the things of this world will be easier…

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Acts 8:39, 40 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of
the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went
on his way rejoicing. But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through
he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.

Those who have seen Star Trek movies / serials would know about the
teleporter called ‘Transporter’ which cause people to dematerialize at one
place and rematerialize at another place, moving people across large
distance in an instance.

In today’s message we read of something that seems to be something like
that, for Philip is caught away by the Holy Spirit and appears in another
town. Here the word used as caught away is the Greek word ‘harpazo’ which
means ‘seized’ or ‘taken without one’s will’. So it says Philip did not go
there but was carried away or taken without him knowing. He was not
airlifted since the next verse say he found himself in Azotus, so it was in
an instance that he appeared in another place. This this supernaturally

Let us understand (which is a little solid food/meat) God works
supernaturally, He works within His laws. That means He does not instantly
create anything but brings forth that which He has already set.
Supernatural means happening of the unimaginable, one in a billion,
trillion and that is why even miracles can be scientifically studied. When
the fallen angels disturbed this law before the floods of Noah (the women
did not have physical intercourse with the fallen angels who are spirit
beings) it was then they lost their position with the Lord, made void of
their powers (including that of the Beast/Young Lion/Prince of Tyrus;
leaving that of the Dragon/Lucifer/King of Tyrus who is bound in Hell) and
were called devils.

Scientifically it is possible to teleport an object, that is dematerialize
an object from a place and rematerialize the same object at another place
and science is trying that since years. What really happens is the object
is deconstructed at it molecular level and its exact copy is made at the
destination. Science sees everything as information and energy. Science may
possibly be able to teleport the body of a person but not a living person
for life (spirit) in not something man can create, teleport or even
destroy; nor do Angels, neither even Cherubs can create life or destroy
life (spirit). Holy Spirit being God can but He does not create any new
life (spirit) other than that which He has created in the beginning;
destruction of spirit man or Angels also He does not. In Hell or on
Judgment Day the spirits (of man and of fallen angles, including that of
the fallen cherubs) are punished till its life’s span (only God has eternal
life in Himself).

Before man sinned, man had the ability to teleport for he had access to
Heaven thus clothing was not necessary for he was not restricted by the
natural flesh thus did not see his nakedness although he was naked. A
spirit beings like Angels are not restricted to dimensions of natural
space. Jesus as man showed this ability to move between natural and
spiritual being during His transfiguration, it was a confirmation of Him
being without sin and being an overcomer. Rapture is when man (collectively
those alive and in the Lord) know the Truth (the two witnesses fulfil
this), become overcomers and transfigure. In the case of Philip this was a
miracle done not by his ability but by the help of God (Holy Spirit).

There are very few times God has stretched the probability of His set
natural laws to the extreme like Noah’s flood, causing the Sun and Moon
(hosts of Heaven) to stay still during Joshua, move the Earth in reverse
10degrees during Hezekiah, but then confirmed He would not do it again.

There have been claims of miraculously teleported by the power of God from
a place to another (without evidence). It is not that it is not possible
but can be done by Him alone and not by our spiritual maturity/authority
unlike healings or deliverance.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God. You alone are Creator. Man gives birth to a spirit that
already existed. We pray we know You more and more and understand You laws
more and more. We pray we know nothing is impossible for You yet You work
within natural laws made by You. We pray we know nothing is impossible for
You and in extreme situation did not hesitate to do the extreme...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

they took them wives of all which they chose.

Genesis 9:11 And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all
flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any
more be a flood to destroy the earth.

Washed, Sanctified and Justified - the Race of Salvation

1 Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are
sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the
Spirit of our God.

The last time (25 April 2018) I got this verse I learnt the term used for
washed here is a compound word ‘apolouo’ which means washed and separated.
Also the term wash here is not washing with water or bathing, it is term
used to clean a wound or cleaning a dead body. So it is not talking of an
instant process having instant results, but start of a process that takes
time (we get healed of our corrupt nature and die to our sins).

Sanctified means to dedicate. It means set for a purpose and the purpose
needs to be done. Here too it does not talk of an instant result but a
start of a process that goes on. We are saved for a purpose and not for our
own benefit alone.

Justified means to make righteous. Are we made righteous when we believe in
Christ? This answer is found in the grammar of this word. The TVM (Tense
Voice Mood) of this word is Aorist (past, present, future together),
Passive and Indicative. It means we were called to be righteous when we
were made. Righteousness is Fruit of the Spirit and one of the 3 Fruits
(Truth, Righteousness and Holiness) of the Holy Spirit which are not
mentioned in Galatians 5:21-22 but mentioned separately in Ephesians 5:9.
Unlit other Fruits these are gifted to us. We lost the Fruit when man
sinned by eating of the fruit of the Tree of Doubt (Good and Bad) this
caused man to lose the Fruit of Truth and when Truth is lost Righteous too
was lost.

Jesus by His sacrifice paid the price for us and made peace between God and
man so that we receive His Spirit and by His Spirit of Truth we come to
know the Truth and thus receive the Fruit of Righteousness.

Although we will receive the Fruit of Righteousness on Judgment Day yet we
are called the righteous of God for we are called / marked to be recipients
of the Fruit (Mood is Indicative). This claim can happen only if we walk in
the truth (that what we know) and attempt to live a righteous life (Voice
is Passive).

When we are baptized in Christ we do not become Christians but start the
process of becoming Christians. Christianity is a process or journey a
person takes. What matters is not completing the journey (which only two of
us do at the end – and these two satisfy God) but about being on the
journey. The day we hop out of this journey/ backslide we do not account to
be Christians. It does not mean we cannot repent and return but this is
only possible if we are not dead. So what matters is when we die were we on
the journey of being Christian or not. It is for this reason Paul compares
this journey to a race. This race is not about being first or last but
about completion, all who complete are rewarded.

Today’s message says we as Christians are in the process of spiritual
healing, we are appointed to a task (spreading the Gospel and making
Disciples for Christ) and receivers of His Righteousness while living it,
by the Name (Nature) of Jesus Christ and by His Spirit, so as to enter
Heaven again.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God, who is Holy, Righteous and Truth. Lord we pray Lord we
understand our purpose in You and understand we are on a journey in You
with the help of your Spirit who keeps us in You / in your Name (Nature).
Lord we pray we remain in this journey and do not fall back or backslide so
as to lose our salvation in You...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Revelation 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith
unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of
life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Revelation 22:14 Blessed [are] they that do his commandments, that they
may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into
the city.

1 Corinthians 9:24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but
one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

Hebrews 12:1-2
1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of
witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily
beset [us], and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of [our] faith; who for the
joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is
set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

We live in tents

Haggai 2:1 In the seventh [month], in the one and twentieth [day] of the
month, came the word of the LORD by the prophet Haggai, saying,

When Christians are asked why are you celebrating the birth of Christ on
25th Dec when they know for sure it is not that date, they say time is not
important as far as Christ is the center of the celebration.

Today’ message does not simply say the Lord spoke to Haggai but also
mentions the date on which He spoke to Haggai and when we check this date
it was the last day of the Feast of Tabernacle / Feast of Tents / Sukkot
and incidentally it is exactly seventh day from the birth of Christ.

All feasts were shadows of dates concerning Christ (and His Spirit) and the
dates were accurate not approximately, a day before or later. The Feast of
Tabernacle was to do with the coming of God as man in a body that was
temporary to remind us that we too are in this temporary body on this

Yesterday during lunch I was speaking to a new joinee in my office, he was
a Hindu, I asked him what he thought of life and death, as to what happens
to a person after the person dies. He told me he did not agree with the
Hindu concept of incarnation (Karma Chakra), he believed a person when he
or she dies its spirit also ceases to exist. I asked him then why does one
need to be good and fear doing bad? If man did not fear punishment after
death then he or she would not follow moral values and would do whatever
they please. I asked him if he believed in Heaven and Hell? To that he said
yes. He then realized his understanding was a confusing one and started
reconsidering his understanding.

We all know our lives on earth (this world) is temporary yet love this life
so much. We also do not realize our earthly relationships are also
temporary and yet we risk our Heavenly inheritance (including eternal life)
for our earthly relationship. We have so many Christians who give up on
Christ or compromise His ways because of family issues.

In our previous message on peace we learned compromise is not peace. Surely
we need to avoid confrontation and arguments but not at the cost of risking
our eternal life in Christ. When we die we will have no earthly
relationship with any one, we will be no one’s daughter, son, father,
mother, husband, wife, earthly brother or sister. The only relationship if
we have is our relationship with Christ and thus part of the Heavenly
Family / Temple – God as our Father and brethren of each other (Sons of

The Lord is telling us not to think of death and its consequence only at
the Crucifix of Christ but also His birth announced that we are temporary
here on earth.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God whose Throne is in Heaven yet are present everywhere, for
You are Omnipresent. Lord we pray after death we will be spirit being yet
will have a dwelling place. If we are not dwelling before You then we will
not receive life but will see that which we have perishing while we pay for
the wrongs we did. Lord let us seek life and not death, let us seek
forgiveness and not harden our hearts...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Living Sacrifice, Holy and Acceptable

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that
ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God,
[which is] your reasonable service.

In IT operations (even standard operations) we have a term called SOW
(Statement of Work/Scope of Work). An SOW define the goals, deliverables
and performance criteria. Like I mentioned before Romans 12 is an SOW for
Christians. When a Prosperity Gospel or Grace & Works Christian asks about
what works we need to do or how to live as Christians, show them Romans 12.

The first verse sets the goal, verse 2 to 20 gives the deliverables and
verse 21 sets the performance criteria. The goal of a Christian is to make
oneself a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable, the criteria of a
Christian is to overcome evil within oneself (firstly within oneself) by
good works. How to do it, is what verses 2 to 20 give in great detail.

The word holy means purity (spotless) and in simple words perfect, it is
not about sin or being in sin but about corruption. Corruption is not about
being bad or good but being less than that which we were made to be. God
the Son experienced corruption when a third of the Angels fell and caused
darkness. He created our creation, us humans and humbled Himself from the
beginning. He made man to be the light and overcome darkness so that the
transformed man would inherit that which the fallen angels lost and more
(restoration of the Heavenly Temple). Although Jesus is without sin yet He
said only God (the Father) is Holy and this Jesus Himself said. Once God
the Son helps restore man and transform man (in spirit) then He will return
to His glory and be once again with the Father (Holy).

The works that we do is on our own selves (although its recipients are
others) by the help of the Holy Spirit is the living sacrifice God desires,
this is the only way to be holy and acceptable to God.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God who is Truth, Righteous and Holy. Father You
alone are Holy and the Angels in Heaven praise giving reverence to your
Holiness endlessly. We pray Father we understand the great purpose we are
created for. We pray we understand we need to overcome the evil within us
by doing good unto others. The good work is not to justify ourselves before
You but to transform us so as to make ourselves acceptable before You...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Romans 12:2-20

Romans 12: 21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your
good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto
good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Mark 10:18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? [there is]
none good but one, [that is], God.

1 Peter 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

Sons of God, by Himself

Ephesians 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by
Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

Ask anyone who created you? Almost all will say ‘God created me’. Ask them
which God and most Christians will say ‘God the Father’, very few who
really read the Bible know that it is God the Son who created this creation..

It was the will of the Father which the Son fulfilled. The Father did not
command the Son but the Son knowing the purpose of the Father did this.
Jesus says He saw the Father thus did. God the Son not only created us (our
creation) but even the Heavenly beings like Angels and Cherubs (including
Lucifer and the Beast) are created by Him. Bible says everything (known to
us) that exist, is by Him and for Him.

Today’s scripture touches on another aspect which most do not realize.

We say we will become Sons of God (in the process by the working of the
Holy Spirit), when we say that, we think we become Sons of God the Father,
which again is not fully right. Today’s message says we are made sons of
the God the Son (Himself) by Jesus Christ.

When we say Jesus Christ and God the Son even though it is the same being
yet there is a difference between them. Jesus Christ is the man who God the
Son humbled and took form of as man. Also when we use the term Christ it
means both the man Jesus and His Spirit. The Holy Spirit we receive is the
Spirit of God the Son. Paul discloses in Romans that we are adopted as Sons
because we have received the Spirit of the Son. It is for this reason also
Paul in almost all his letter closes with a praise only for the Father and
the Son (Jesus Christ). Even though he did not mention the Holy Spirit, yet
he knew he did.

Although there are three beings yet ultimately there is only one, this is
what we need to get into our understanding and when we do then we
understand salvation, the purpose of our creation and our destiny.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and there is no other God than You. Although it is written
Elohim (plural) yet we know You are One God. We pray your people understand
You and the purpose You created us. We pray we grow in You with the help of
your Spirit become Sons of God, becoming true Israel having authority in

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Try to live peacefully with all men

Romans 12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably
with all men.

India as a country got its independent from British colonial rule mainly
due to the non-violence movement started by M K Gandhi who was a lawyer by
profession in South Africa before he returned to India. The concept of
non-violence came to him while reading Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. He
started the non-cooperation movement backed by non-violence and the
powerful British could not know how to respond to a large peaceful protest.

Israel we know is founded on OT history, USA was formed by Christians
fleeing the Orthodox / Catholic Church in Europe and India was formed on
inspiration of the Bible, it is no surprise that these 3 countries are the
most hated by forces / religions which are against peace.

Today’s scripture does not say ‘live in peace with all men’ but says ‘as
much as possible, live peacefully with all men’. God knows when we walk in
His path which professes peace, the world will hate us and will try their
best to harm us.

The Greek word for peace means harmony but when we go to the Hebrew word it
projects completeness. I mentioned before when we study terms of God’s
Kingdom we take the Hebrew understanding and Greek delivery since the Greek
grammar perfectly holds the purpose and feelings.

We need to understand peace does not mean everything externally will be
good all around us. Compromise or surrender does not mean peace. Peace
means to seek that which is good for the other person even if it is
uncomfortable for us and the person does not like or understand it. Love
and peace go hand in hand, without love we cannot seek peace. Paul thus say
loving your enemy at times is like heaping coals of fire on his head.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You are defined as Love by man even though in
Heaven You are known more for Righteousness, Truth and Holiness. Man by
sinning became your enemy and it is only your love and peace paid for by
blood that transforms man to know truth, righteousness and holiness. We
pray Lord we understand the power of love and peace...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
1 John 3:13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.

Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse
you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully
use you, and persecute you;

Romans 12:20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give
him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

Fulfilling the Law

John 20:6,7 Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the
sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie, And the napkin, that was about
his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place
by itself.

The book of Romans is one letter Paul where takes on the topic of law to
great depth, it mentions the word ‘law’ / ‘lawlessness’ / ‘without law’ 52
times. Paul and James put the relationship between law and sin as the
relationship between a mother and child. A woman becomes a mother when she
gives birth. So the child bring forth a mother while the mother brings
forth the child. Law bought forth sin since without law there would not be
sin and because there was sin there was law.

To understand sin one needs to understand corruption. It is this truth
which will make us understand why the fallen angels were yet called Sons of
God like other Angels until they messed with man before the floods and
thereafter were called demons (destroyers), devils (goats) or Satan

In Romans we may have many scriptures speaking against the law but if we
read Hebrew we find it more pro law. Was Paul confused?

One needs to understand when Paul stated law in some places he referred to
the Law of Moses and other places Law of the Lord. Like I said yesterday
Law is the delivery of Commandments so even though the Commandments as
perfect yet if they are not understood or not implemented with the purpose
it was given, then it becomes law of man (Moses) and not Law of the Lord.
Law of man only destroys and justifies none, Law of the Lord saved and
brings forth perfection.

In today’s message we see the Lord Jesus fulfilling a law given through
Moses where an Israelite High Priest enters the Holy of Holies and drops
his garments on the floor. It is the one who is to take over from him,
enters and picks these garments. Peter being the one selected (along with
John and James) to led the circumcised (Jewish) Christians fulfilled this
law. This was done as a sign to the Jews that Jesus was their High Priest
and now in His absence Peter (Apostles) would led them. Here Jesus did not
keep the Law of Moses but fulfilled the Law of the Lord given through Moses..

One topic that really highlights the difference between Law of Moses and
Law of the Lord is the Sabbath. The Israelites never understood it so and
since it is almost impossible to fulfil it in the natural but fearing the
grave punishment of breaking it they played with it so much that the book
about this one topic is more than twice the size of the Torah (5 books of

Jesus was accused of breaking the Law of Moses many a times especially the
Sabbath, yet He never sinned for He kept the Law of the Lord. Although He /
His Spirit is the author of the Law yet He abided by it and did not exclude
Himself of it.

Let us not study the Bible or follow it like the Jews did without
understanding and without wisdom. Even though the Jews (following Judaism)
are blessed greatly with wisdom of the world, they lack the wisdom of God
and thus reject Christ and His salvation. Let us by the help of the Holy
Spirit understand the Word and understand why, when, where and how to
implement it.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God. No flesh can satisfy You, You are Spirit and You desire
man to be renewed in the Spirit. You Lord command us to overcome the flesh
to be renewed in Spirit. Lord we pray we realize we need to follow You with
understanding of your Word and its purpose for only the Truth can set us

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Romans 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be
justified in his sight: for by the law [is] the knowledge of sin.

James 2:9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are
convinced of the law as transgressors.

1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is
the transgression of the law.

Luke 2:23,24,39
23 (As it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that openeth the
womb shall be called holy to the Lord;)
24 And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of
the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.
39 And when they had performed all things according to the law of the
Lord, they returned into Galilee, to their own city Nazareth.

Hebrews 7:19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a
better hope [did]; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

Hebrews 10:1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, [and] not
the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they
offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

John 8:31-32
31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in
my word, [then] are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Use Law lawfully

1 Timothy 1:8 But we know that the law [is] good, if a man use it lawfully;

In Greek the word translated as law comes from the root meaning ‘to serve’
(as in food, feed the cattle) but when we go to the Hebrew word it means
‘to shoot’, ‘to cast’. Law is the delivery of commandments or orders.

The Greek word for commandment is ‘entole’ which means orders, rule but in
Hebrew there are two words ‘mitzvah’ which comes from ‘tsavah’ and means
‘orders’, ‘to charge’. But we also have another word ‘peh’ which actually
means ‘mouth’ so when we read scriptures ‘according to the commandments of
the Lord’, it actually is written ‘according to the mouth of the Lord’ or
what the Lord said.

Everything the Lord has said or says unto a person is a Commandment. So
today if the Holy Spirit has communicated any instruction to us is a
Commandment to us and has to be executed, if not it is sin. It is for this
reason the Lord says in the latter days He will write His Commandments in
the hearts of man.

Another point to note, there is no greater or lesser Commandment, any
Commandment broken is sin, be it worshipping another god, worshipping an
idol, killing a person, adultery or even lying. Before the eyes of the Lord
a sin is a sin no bigger or smaller, it is the hardness of the heart of the
sinner that defines one greater or lesser not the sin. Sin is an error if
corrected is no harm, but the danger is as a person remains in sin, keeps
sinning the heart condition changes. So a person who killed and knows it is
wrong would stand a better chance of getting God’s mercy than a person who
keeps on lying over a long period and does not feel it is wrong. Grieving
the Holy Spirit happens when a heart that has experienced the love and
grace of God yet is hardened, that it will never change thus this sin is

When Paul said law is good or bad it is not the commandments or orders what
he commented on but it was on its delivery or implementation.

Coming to today’s message Paul comments on delivery of the Commandments.
Commandments of the Lord are light so by no way can be bad, but if we do
not implement them for the purpose it is given then we cause darkness
instead of light. For example God said ‘thou shall not kill’, this
Commandment was given concerning man, but if we implement is generally and
use it against animals or plants (feel guilt for killing an plant or
animal) than that would amount to misuse of the Commandment. God did
instruct us to kill animals for food, this killing was allowed while
respecting the life of that being.

Today’s message speaks of the importance of right delivery of Commandments
and for that one needs to understand the Commandment and its purpose, and
this truth comes only through the Holy Spirit (Spirit of Truth). Israelites
/ Jews (leaving for a few) never understood the truth because they had not
received the Holy Spirit. For example they focused on what Moses spoke but
not on the fact that the Lord spoke through Moses, so the law which they
implemented was done in the name of the Moses and thus called it the ‘Law
of Moses’. These became traditions and rituals that were iron shackles to
their spirit, leading to its destruction. Without the Holy Spirit law can
be our destruction and with the Holy Spirit the Law is life (Angels call it
instructions of life).

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Light, Your Word is Light. Going against your Word or its
purpose causes obstruction of light and hence darkness. We pray Lord we
understand your Commandments and mainly understand its purpose so that they
become a lamp to our feet and light unto our path...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Exodus 38:21 This is the sum of the tabernacle, [even] of the tabernacle
of testimony, as it was counted, according to the commandment of Moses,
[for] the service of the Levites, by the hand of Ithamar, son to Aaron the

Numbers 9:18 At the commandment of the LORD the children of Israel
journeyed, and at the commandment of the LORD they pitched: as long as the
cloud abode upon the tabernacle they rested in their tents.

Romans 2:
12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law:
and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
13 (For not the hearers of the law [are] just before God, but the doers of
the law shall be justified.
14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things
contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their
conscience also bearing witness, and [their] thoughts the mean while
accusing or else excusing one another;)

Hebrews 8:10 For this [is] the covenant that I will make with the house of
Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their
mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they
shall be to me a people:

Things that accompany salvation

Hebrew 6:9 But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things
that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.

In today’s message we read Paul (assumed) to talk about 3 things first
Salvation, better things and things that accompany salvation.

We all know salvation is all about being saved. All may think it is very
simple, NO. People misunderstand being saved from Hell means salvation.
Believing/baptized in the Lord Jesus Christ one is saved from the curse of
Hell but only those who are baptized both in Christ and His Holy Spirit
(carry the Cross) will enter Heaven. Both the goats and sheep are part of
His flock, the sheep enter Heaven but the goats do not, they receive the
Lake of Fire / Sulphur (which by the way is worse than Hell).

Now coming to the better things and things that accompany salvation. They
both are blessings but the latter part, things that company salvation are
what the Bible says in many places as ‘promises in father Abraham’. These
are the promises that God made with Abraham as part of the Covenant God
made with man. Though the Bible takes mainly the name of Abraham it also
includes those promises made with other 6 who were also part of the
Covenant that God made with man.

God made only one Covenant with man and it started with Noah and then it
was Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, David and lastly with Jesus. With each
one God added and bettered the Covenant (older blessings continued). Bible
speaks amore about the Covenant with Noah, Abraham and Jesus since major
additions were made with them. God promised Noah of being the God of his
people, with Abraham God promised Heaven (Promised Land) to his people and
with Jesus Christ, abundant grace and truth was given via the Holy Spirit
given to his people. At every stage the promises were made to the people
that connected with the seven signatories (spiritually). So if we are in
Christ then we are eligible to all the promises made throughout the
Covenant. Since the Jews rejected Christ they failed to receive the Holy
Spirit and thus failed to receive abundant and truth grace (they have the
grace of God only in some areas).

The other part of today’s scripture which defines as ‘better things’ are
things excluded and these include worldly things/pleasures. That means our
daily food or the basic necessities were promised as part of the Covenant
but are those extras like the Quails’ meat they ate in exile. There was
never a day in those forty years of exile that God did not feed them Manna
or the footwear they started with got damaged. So our God does bless us
with things that are worldly when we ask of Him but we can lose our
salvation if we run more after these things. The less of these things makes
our receiving our salvation more assured, but life becomes more difficult
to live. Those Israelites during exile who murmured greatly of not
receiving sufficient meat got so much and died of sickness (plague) with
mouths full of meat; they did not enter the Promised Land.

Lord You God of All. Everything created is by You, but You call only those

it was only through Christ we now have the promise of the Holy Spirit. We

people with a very great plague.

Know your God

John 13: 3 [Jesus], knowing that the Father had given all the things into
his hands, and that he came forth from God, and goeth unto God,

Some of the most confusing statements of Christianity are:-
We do not worship the man Jesus but worship the Lord Jesus Christ.
There is one God; Lord Jesus Christ is the way to God and the Holy Spirit -
the Spirit of the Son who is God leads us along that way.

Leave alone unbelievers, even the most intellectual theologians fail to
truly understand these statements. They write big books but their logic
goes in circles, at times causing more confusions. To understand these one
needs to today’s scripture.

There was a time I was to share the Gospel with an old Muslim man who was
on his death bed (due to advanced stage of cancer). The family were so
orthodox Muslims that the mother and daughter would chant Muslim prayers
and as they chanted they would blow into a bottle of water and close it,
assuming the prayers were trapped in it. This water they would make the
sick man drink daily.

I asked the Lord if I could be instrument for his healing and I did not get
an affirmative answer. Then I asked if I could give him the Gospel so that
he sleeps believing in the Lord Jesus Christ. My biggest problem was
explaining the oneness of the Father, Son and Spirit but if I could only
explain about the Son, I knew the Lord would do the remaining. I had to
remove the concept of Allah from his mind, which had nothing to do with
God. So as I prayed and the Lord put into my mind a solution.

I went the next day taking along a large lump of clay. As I was explaining
I told him to assume the lump was infinite and if I took a small part of
this infinite clay then said what would this part be? He thought and after
a few minutes said it too would be infinite. He immediately understood what
I was trying to explain.

After a few days I came to know he expired but what really touched me is
when his family members told me before he died he prayed to the Lord Jesus

Spirit is not that what man understands by the term ghost (spirit of a dead
person). Spirit remains the same within the body or when it leaves a body.
The Hebrew and Greek word for Spirit is simply ‘breathe’. People get taken
back when I explain of beings having multiple spirits within oneself and
about God having eternal (unlimited/ endless) Spirit. They further confuse
with the term like ‘soul’ or ‘inner-man’ which remains connected to the
spirit, even after it exits a human body.

The perfect declaration of faith would be:
I believe God is One, He is Spirit and is Holy. God made man to be light in
the darkness, so when man sinned the humbled part of God became man in due
time to become a sacrifice for our sins; to make peace between God and man,
so that man receives the Spirit of the Son and being led by the Holy Spirit
may be restored, become Sons of God and inherit what God has set for him in
the high places of Heaven. Being part of the Son, spiritually transformed
man becomes one with the Father.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You alone are God. There is none like You and there
never will be. A part of You humbled Himself and became a light in sinful
man so that man would be the light to overcome the darkness he is made to
overcome. We pray Lord we understand You and thus understand the purpose
You created us. You are eternal life and all life comes from You alone,
anything that disassociates from You suffers and perishes...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
John 5:26 For as the Father hath life in himself, even so gave he to the
Son also to have life in himself:

Matthew 11:27 All things have been delivered unto me of my Father: and no
one knoweth the Son, save the Father; neither doth any know the Father,
save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son willeth to reveal [him].

John 1: 18 No man {being} hath seen God at any time; the only begotten
Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared [him].

Philippians 2:9 Wherefore also God highly exalted him, and gave unto him
the name which is above every name;

John 17:12 While I was with them, I kept them in thy name which thou hast
given me: and I guarded them, and not one of them perished, but the son of
perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

Mark 12:29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments [is],
Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

1 Corinthians 8:6 But to us [there is but] one God, the Father, of whom
[are] all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom [are]
all things, and we by him.

Galatians 3:20 Now a mediator is not [a mediator] of one, but God is one.

Ephesians 2:16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by
the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

all, and in you all.

Renew you mind and your thinking

Romans 8:6 For to be carnally minded [is] death; but to be spiritually
minded [is] life and peace.

Just a couple of days back I was discussing with a couple of Catholics
relatives of how I gave up my ‘social friends’ / ‘party life’ and prefer
being sober. They immediately said “without ‘friends’ what is the purpose
of your life?”. The moment I said “God did not create us for this purpose?”
Immediately one said “now he will wear his cassock and preach”.

This world programs every mind to think, making friends is important and
there is security in having friends. It tells you maturity is in making
more friends and friends across various sections of life.

I am not against making friends since the Bible also is not against it, but
it warns about close bonds with worldly ‘friends’. People depends on
friends since they do not depend on God. Two unrelated persons are in good
relation for they have something common and that could be even a thought
(thinking). Family relationship cannot be changed but friendship can when
that common things changes. World knows the worse enemy is most likely a
former friend.

Even natural family members can go against us like worldly friends but a
spiritual family will always hold on. Like our natural father and mother
may even forsake us but our Heavenly Father would not.

When people tell me why as a Christian I do not drink alcohol not even
wine, I tell them I am not Catholic but a ‘Believer’ Christian. They then
ask ‘what is the difference?’ I tell them Catholics simply believe in Jesus
while ‘Believer’ Christians follow Him.

Today’s message tells us to renew our minds by renewing our thinking. It
asks us not just to fight temptations but also worldly understandings which
can change the priorities in our lives and take us away from God and our

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord dwell in the upper Heavens which is a
spirit world. Lord we pray we who dwell in this temporary natural world
which is corrupt, may overcome this world, its thinking and its priorities.
We pray we renew our minds and fight not only temptations but even the
‘reasonable’ worldly understanding which like termites destroys us...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Romans 8:5-10
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but
they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded [is] death; but to be spiritually minded [is]
life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind [is] enmity against God: for it is not subject
to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit
of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is
none of his.
10 And if Christ [be] in you, the body [is] dead because of sin; but the
Spirit [is] life because of righteousness.

2 Corinthians 6:14 Be not unequally yoked with unbelievers: for what
fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? or what communion hath light
with darkness?

Galatians 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap
corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life

Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but
righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Knowing the Father through the Son

John 8:54,55 Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it
is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God: Yet ye
have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I
shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying.

In today’s scripture we read Jesus telling the Jews that they do not know
God the Father. What is interesting is this Jesus was not telling just to
the Jews standing before Him but to all beings including their forefathers.
If we see the very next verse it speaks of Abraham seeing the Son (Jesus)
and not the Father. When Jesus told them this they were furious and wanted
to kill Him.

I mentioned before the term Yahweh in Hebrew refers to the Son and not to
the Father. Throughout the Bible the terms ‘Lord’ (in all its variations)
mostly refers to the Son or the Holy Spirit, there are very few verses
(just a handful) where the term ‘Lord’ actually refer to the Father in

I also mentioned before I started word study (studying Hebrew and Greek
words) all because I wanted to understand this. What was even more
surprised me was about the case of the Angels being the same. We call them
an army but does God who is omnipotent need an army? Who is His opponent?
Who can be found to be a worthy opponent for Him that He needs an army?
Firstly who exist that is not created by Him and not of Him? Is He not All
Knowing that the future was hidden from Him to know He would make a
mistake? Satan is an enemy of God’s plans and we (humans) as His plans.
Like God removed man from (upper) Heaven so that corrupt man could be
restored and received back. Similarly Satan (plural – Dragon and the Beast/
King and Prince of Tyrus and their fallen angels) also we removed from
(upper) Heaven so that man could overcome them, inherit that which they
lost and ultimately they receive their punishment in due time.

Bible says the Heavens (all beings of Heaven) and Creation (earth) which we
know are created by the Son, for the Son.

Let us understand no one can know the Father unless the Son reveals Him and
no one can know the God the Son unless His Spirit reveals Him and no one
can receive the Holy Spirit unless they believe in the man Jesus and know
He is God the Son.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You are One God. Lord we pray we understand You more
and more. We pray we understand You are in the Father and Father is in You,
You came from the Father and one day You return to the Father and it is on
that day we shall truly know the Father and be in the Father as You are in
the Father for we will be in You, this even the Angels of Heaven await and
thus call us their fellow associates...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

was, I am.

No Condemnation

Romans 8:1 [There is] therefore now no condemnation to them which are in
Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Many Christians believe if they believe in Christ they are not condemned
for the wrongs they do. These wrongs they believe are not just those which
they did before they came to know and accept Christ but also those which
they do after coming to know and accept Christ. This great misunderstanding
is the cause of many to fall and lose their salvation (enter Heaven). One
of the scriptures they (mis)quote is today verse (Romans 8:1).

People do not read the verse fully nor read the consecutive verses. The
verse clearly says there is no condemnation for those who are led in the
Spirit and not those who dwell in their fleshy desires.

How do we know if we are not condemned? Verse 5 says those who dwell in
fleshy desires do things of the flesh and those after the Spirit do things
of the Spirit. We need to see the things that we do, if they are after the
flesh or after the Spirit. If a person is led by the Spirit then the person
does not enjoy sin and fights it, so soon sin dies in him or her.

If we do not want to stand with those who are going to be condemned let us
overcome the flesh with the help of the Spirit. Let us die to our fleshly
desires so that we are born again in spirit.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are seated in the Upper Heavens where
your glory is concentrated. Near to You only those who are true in spirit
according to your image can dwell, others will perish and be destroyed.
Lord we pray we understand You made us in the flesh so that we overcome the
flesh and be renewed in spirit with the help of your Spirit...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Romans 8:1-5
1 [There is] therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ
Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from
the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh,
God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin,
condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not
after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but
they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

John 3:5-8
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of
water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the
Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof,
but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one
that is born of the Spirit.

Did Stephen go to Heaven?

Acts 7:55,56 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly
into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand
of God, And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man
standing on the right hand of God.

We see a dramatic incident happening when Stephen was martyred. Stephen
looks up and sees the man Jesus seated at the right hand of God and he
could see glory filled in Heaven. As the people were killing him, Stephen
says ‘Lord Jesus, receive my spirit’, the moment he says that he falls down
and the scriptures genuinely says ‘he fell asleep’. It does not say he went
to Heaven nor says he was lifted up but says he slept.

If we look at the Prophet Samuel in his case too after he died and when
Saul tries to communicate with him, it is said Samuel’s spirit came up and
Samuel said ‘Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up’. Samuel did say
‘come down’ but ‘bring up’ confirming he had not ascended to Heaven but was
at a level below (asleep).

Even when we see all the other Men of God in OT after they died it is said
they were gathered unto their people. Jesus too Himself when He spoke the
parable of Lazarus and the rich man said Lazarus the good man was in the
bosom of Abraham, He did not says Lazarus was in the bosom of God/ the

Paul as well as Jesus say on Judgment Day we all will stand before the
Judgment Seat and Jesus the Son of Man will sit and judge the flock both
sheep and goats. Jesus will then separate the sheep from the goats and only
the sheep will enter Heaven while the goats will be put in the Lake of Fire
/ Sulphur. It is symbolically called ‘sulphur’ because of it’s unique
property which causes man to suffer it eternally as it was on the first
day, since otherwise man gets used to pain and suffering over a long period
of time. Thus making Lake of Fire worse than Hell (which is a prison where
man suffers his own sins).

Let us have a clear understanding of Judgment Day, since it is very much
part of our foundation topic. It is a must to know it so as to prevent us
from being misled.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty and Omnipresent God. There is no place You are not
there and where any being can hid from You. David said even in Hell You are
found. Lord we pray we have a clear understanding of You and your Kingdom
so that we are not deceived of Judgment Day. We pray our foundation be
strong and on founded on the Truth...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Acts 7:57-60
57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran
upon him with one accord,
58 And cast [him] out of the city, and stoned [him]: and the witnesses
laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was Saul.
59 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon [God], and saying, Lord Jesus,
receive my spirit.
60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this
sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

Genesis 25:8 And Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an
old man, and full [of years], and was gathered to his people.

Genesis 35:29 And Isaac gave up the ghost, and died, and was gathered unto
his people, old and full of days: and Esau and Jacob his sons buried him.

Luke 16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and that he was
carried away by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: and the rich man also

dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the
judgment-seat of God.

with him, then shall he sit on the throne of his glory:
32 and before him shall be gathered all the nations: and he shall separate
them one from another, as the shepherd separateth the sheep from the goats;

Vest of Jesus

John 19:23,24 Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his
garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also [his]
coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout. They
said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it,
whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They
parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These
things therefore the soldiers did.

People misinterpret 2 Corinthians 8:9 stating Jesus was worldly rich and
for our sake He became worldly poor so that we could become worldly rich.

In today’s message we read Jesus wore an outer vest (coat) which was
expensive so much so that the soldiers found it insane to tear it even
mockingly and thus cast lots to see who could get it and use it. People
also forget when Jesus was born the wise men (there were not three but many
- Isaiah 60:6) and more important was that each bought all three precious
gifts boxes of gold, and frankincense, and myrrh (it was to acknowledge a
great Emperor). Each of these were expensive gifts, so if they all were put
together Jesus and His (earthly) family would not have had to work for food
or any requirement for the rest of their lives.

What we see is Jesus as man (including His family) had sufficient yet He
never relied on money but always saw the glory of the Father. He gave up
His Heavenly glory so that He could share His glory with us, the riches 2
Corinthians 8:9 speaks of are Heavenly riches.

Today the Lord is asking us, what are we covered in? Worldly glory or
Heavenly glory

Let us not seek worldly riches or glory, it is not that we will lack, God
will met our needs since He is our Provider but if we run after worldly
glory and riches we will loose on Heavenly glory and Heavenly riches.

Yesterday the Lord spoke about our bodies perishing when our spirit/life
leaves it, today He is telling us the riches of this world will also perish
the day His people exit this world.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. Everything is by You and for You. Let Lord You
desire to dwell in simple places like the hearts of man. Lord we pray we
understand the riches of your Kingdom and not fall for the vanity of this
perishable world...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

2 Corinthians 8:9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that,
though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his
poverty might be rich.

Matthew 2:11-12
11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with
Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had
opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and
frankincense, and myrrh.
12 And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to
Herod, they departed into their own country another way.

Isaiah 60:6 The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of
Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and
incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the LORD.

Following Scriptures

Acts 1:20 For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be
desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take..

One claim most ‘Christians’ make is that they follow scriptures yet one
find them doing foolish things.

Yesterday we had Catholics celebrating ‘Ash Wednesday’ wherein the ‘priest’
puts ash on their head making a cross and says the words ‘remember you are
dust unto dust you return’. The fools do not realize they say dust / mud
yet put ash. They also do not realize these words were a curse of hell and
damnation which was cancelled by the coming of Christ. Now these fools
speak the curse while making the sign of a cross (which symbolizes victory
over the curse) that too with ash which represented hopelessness!

Many of our so called ‘Believers’ / Protestants celebrate Lent which was a
40 days penance period celebrated by the pagan Romans before ‘Easter’ the
birth of goddess Ashtoreth, it is for this reason it starts with a Carnival
(Carnal Festival). We Christians celebrate Resurrection Sunday & Passover
but not Ash Wednesday, Lent or Easter.

Today’s message we read Peter quotes Psalms (two verses together Psalms
69:25 & Psalms 109:8) which was a prediction of Judas and fulfils it by
getting someone to take the office of Judas among the twelve. Peter did
follow scripture but did it without understanding it.

Peter had no idea why Jesus chose 12 disciples and how it was related to
the 12 sons of Jacob and how Joseph who did not join his brothers to the
Promised Land was substituted by one of his sons. Both the 12 Apostles and
the 12 tribes were just shadow of spiritual things that exist in Heaven. It
was only after Peter’s baptism in the Holy Spirit and years of walking in
Christ led by the Holy Spirit that Peter wrote his letters which if
understood at times beats the spiritual depth which none of the letters of
Paul touch. It is not that Peter may have known more than Paul, for Paul
complained he could not teach solid food to his congregation so wrote only
milk and taught milk. We cannot judge who knew more but we can surely see
Peter change from being a person doing foolish things, being rebuked by
Paul as well as Jesus himself.

It was lack of understanding of scriptures that caused the Jews to reject
Christ as their Savior and do traditions that led to hardening of their
hearts so as to make them a stiffnecked lot.

Let us not be people who keep stumbling, falling and changing only after
testimonies, after testimonies like Peter did. Wisdom can come from
experience or from God. If we seek the wisdom from God we need to abide in
the Lord (do His Will) and seek revelation that comes from the Lord.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are Spirit and desire we your children
worship You in Spirit and Truth. We pray Lord that we live not by sight but
by faith, a faith that is not blind but dwells in the light of the truth...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Unwise Nicodemus

John 19:39 And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus
by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound

The scriptures connected to Nicodemus are very commonly used by Christians.
Believers use the term ‘Born-again’ which originates in the
(mis)translation of the English versions (the actual word used in Greek
means ‘born from above’ and not ‘born again’).

In today’s message we read Nicodemus comes to the crucifix after the death
of Jesus and the public leaving to fulfil the customs of the Galilean Jews
who wrapped the body with spice and partly followed the customs (beliefs)
of the Egyptians concerning the dead.

Who was this Nicodemus?

He was a member of the Jewish Sanhedrin (Pharisee, teacher and council
member in Israel). The first mention of him is an emergency (and secret)
call he gave to Jesus right in the middle of the night. Being a teacher of
the law this emergency call was not an ordinary call since he was asking
about what would happen after he dies. Nicodemus would have not made this
emergency call unless he was told or thought he was going to die
immediately. He must have got healed for later he became a disciple of
Jesus although not openly confessing his discipleship. He along with people
like Joseph of Arimathea were well to do in life and in society and were
secret followers of Jesus. In between we see Nicodemus was amongst the
officers of the Chief Priest who came to question Jesus. Nicodemus knowing
scriptures cunningly defended Jesus by stating since Jesus was from
Galilee, He did not qualify to be a Prophet. He loved Jesus very much and
since he was very rich he bought so much myrrh and aloes that could be used
to fulfil as per tradition for 200 bodies.

We see this man was blessed by Jesus therefore although being a Pharisee,
teacher of Jewish laws and high level officer of the Chief Priest yet
believed in Jesus but what Jesus told him did not register in him. Jesus
told him about the importance of change from inside, unless one is not
renewed in spirit one cannot enter the Kingdom of God (go to Heaven). This
man got his earthly blessings and was satisfied for we see he was caught up
with doing the traditions of the Galilean Jews on the death of Jesus. All
his knowledge and devotion was a waste, meaningless.

Let us not be like Nicodemus who love Jesus very much and think by giving
money or doing traditions is sufficient. Had he listened to what Jesus said
he would not have sought to do the traditions of the Jews, he would have
simply wrapped the body in a cloth and kept it in the tomb (like they did
to the Prophets/Men of God in OT) or simply buried it wrapped in cloth.

Let us follow Jesus by following His teachings. Let us not be ‘followers’
like people ‘follow’ on Facebook or Instagram knowing about them and what
they do but no personal relationship.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You are Spirit. Your Kingdom is not of flesh and bone,
nor of material which are worldly. Lord we pray we understand all what
remains of us is our spirit and what we do in molding it, if we have made
efforts in molding it into your image then we will be considered to enter
Heaven. Lord we pray we work more on the inside than on the outside...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

John 3:1-6
1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that
thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that
thou doest, except God be with him.
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee,
Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he
enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of
water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the
Spirit is spirit.

John 3:7-21

John 7:45-52
45 Then came the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they
said unto them, Why have ye not brought him?
46 The officers answered, Never man spake like this man.
47 Then answered them the Pharisees, Are ye also deceived?
48 Have any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed on him?
49 But this people who knoweth not the law are cursed.
50 Nicodemus saith unto them, (he that came to Jesus by night, being one
of them,)
51 Doth our law judge [any] man, before it hear him, and know what he

look: for out of Galilee ariseth no prophet.

The Stiff-necked

John 12:40 He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they
should not see with [their] eyes, nor understand with [their] heart, and be
converted, and I should heal them.

In the Bible although the Lord called Israelites ‘His people’ yet they were
also called ‘Stiff-necked’ people who did not obey Him nor kept His Law.
Yes they did many things in the name of the Lord but all they did was
contrary to that which the Lord ask of them. They did this only because
they did not understand the Lord’s instructions, and today’s message says
the Lord did not help them to understand. He did this because they were a
stiff-necked lot.

The word stiff-necked means ‘hard to neck’ a term used for an oxen which is
hard to guide or control when plowing. If we get into the Hebrew words
(compound word) it means ‘hard - to break’ so simple means a soul that
resists the Lord and does not want to change. If we read scriptures this
word is also stated as ‘stubborn’ or ‘uncircumcised’ in cross-reference

When we minister we do come across people who talk great thinks and show
they have lots of knowledge but are hard to understand simple things. They
seem to not able to relate one thing to another which we can easy see it.
Yesterday we read about Nicodemus who did not understand the term ‘Born
from above’ although he was highly educated in scriptures.

God did not give up on all stiff-necked, the very first humans who sinned
were removed access from Garden of Eden so that they were not consumed
before the presence of the glory of God (which is greater in the Upper
Heavens) since they were corrupt. God gives time to stiff-necked people to
change through the problems they experience. He does it for our good since
our hearts are not right. If a potter tries to mold a vessel that is hard
he will only break it. The clay of the vessel needs to be wet and moldable
for the potter to bring it into the shape he desires.

Note no one can blame another for misleading in ministry. We follow people
according to that what we seek. If that person speaks things our heart
desires we follow him or her. To follow Christ we need to desire the Lord
and free ourselves of the things that go against His Kingdom, we cannot
desire both. Nicodemus desired Christ but also desired riches and fame thus
was hard to understand.

Previously when I got revelations from the Lord I would immediately share
with others or tell them ‘the Lord spoke to me’ and they would give me
nasty looks, some would bluntly say to my face ‘does God only talk to you’.
Later as I matured I stopped using these terms for I know I would only
harden these stiff-necked people.

The more we surrender to the Will of God we will find the Lord revealing
more and more of His Kingdom to us. It is not in big things that the Lord
looks for our surrender but in the little things which are importance to
Him. So let us not harden our hearts to become a stiff-necked people whom
the Lord makes us spiritually deaf and blind, and consumes them in His

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are omnipresent and omnipotent, nothing
is hidden from You. Lord we pray we give importance to the little areas
where we resist You and your Will. We pray we do not become a stiff-necked
people like those who came out of Egypt and perished, they saw your glory
but lost in become part-takers of your glory...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Exodus 33:3 Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up
in the midst of thee; for thou [art] a stiffnecked people: lest I consume
thee in the way.

Deuteronomy 9:6 Understand therefore, that the LORD thy God giveth thee
not this good land to possess it for thy righteousness; for thou [art] a
stiffnecked people.

2 Chronicles 36:13 And he also rebelled against king Nebuchadnezzar, who
had made him swear by God: but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his
heart from turning unto the LORD God of Israel.

Jeremiah 17:23 But they obeyed not, neither inclined their ear, but made
their neck stiff, that they might not hear, nor receive instruction.

John 9:39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that
they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.

Isaiah 29:10 For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep
sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers
hath he covered.

Matthew 13:13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing
see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

Matthew 15:14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if
the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

What are we seeking?

Hebrews 11:39,40 And these all, having had witness borne to them through
their faith, received not the promise, God having provided some better
thing concerning us, that apart from us they should not be made perfect.

Yesterday I was preaching in a Church and had to give bitter medicine
message of the dangers of worldly riches or desires of this world.
Initially the response was not very good so much so that the Pastor had to
add a few words after I finished.

People do not like when they are asked to sacrifice their worldly desires
for things which they cannot see or understand fully.

Initially when I came to know the Lord I started sacrificing my worldly
life only because of my love for the Lord, but as I came to understand more
of His Kingdom then it made no sense to seek worldly desires. Seeking
worldly desires is like doing art on sand not knowing when it will be
destroyed to nothing.

Today’s message tells us that we are privileged to be those whom the Lord
has chosen, to not only see this vanity but also to be perfected in Him.

When we look at all the other people that exist in this world, who seek
vanity, we can only thank God for not being among them who are spiritually
blind. We can thank the Lord for seeing something in us so as to make us
complete and perfect us in Him.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty and Merciful God. Even when we were enemies of your
Kingdom You Father saw something in us so as to save us from vanity. You
Lord gave us an opportunity to have life that is in abundance and eternal.
We thank You Father for your mercies...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Who has ascended to Heaven?

1 Peter 3:22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God;
angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

In India among Hindus when a person dies is addressed as ‘Swargiya’ which
translates as ‘Heavenly’, they never call a person as ‘Nargiya’ as in ‘Hell
dwelling’. That means all who die go to Heaven and Hell is empty. What is
funny further is that Hindus believe in Karma incarnation ‘Chakra’ (meaning
cycle) that means people who die come back transformed as another living
being ranging from insects, to animals, to birds or human beings depending
on the good works they did in their previous life time. Those who did
exceptional well (or fulfilled rituals) are given freedom from this karma
incarnation cycle and their spirit disintegrates into the universal
force/spirit (in other words spiritual death). So Heaven and Hell holds no
true standing in Hinduism, yet when a person dies we see they place the
body on the pyre in a specific direction before burning it so that the soul
goes to Heaven (at times via Hell)!

Catholicism also have a confused understanding of the various levels of
life existence by bringing in Purgatory a place where souls which do not go
to Hell but suffer punishment for those little sins so as to later enter
Heaven. Purgatory became a money spinner for the Catholic Church since they
ask Catholic to offer masses, offerings and paid prayers for the souls of
their departed ones so that they receive favor and get to enter Heaven.
Most of this coming from pagan Roman/Greek mythological believes.

Coming to Believers here too there is no clear understanding and every
Pastor or Preacher will have a varying understanding of the levels of
existence like Hell, Grave and Heaven(s). The Hebrew word for Heaven comes
from the root word which means ‘lofty’ or to be above. Bible uses both the
term Heaven and Heavens (meaning multiple levels).

Before like others I too believed ‘good’ Christians die and ascend to
Heaven. I later got confused when I read scriptures like Proverbs 30:4,
John 3:13 or Acts 2:34 (which speaks of David yet not ascended to Heaven!).
Now if David has not ascended how it is that others ascend to Heaven after
death? How are people getting ‘death and life’ experiences of Heaven and
Hell visitations?

Paul clearly says we ‘shall enter’ Heaven and ‘we will all stand before the
Judgment Throne on Judgment Day’ confirming what Jesus spoke in John
5:25-29 or Matthew 25:31-33, the same is also written in OT in many places.
Where most get confused is in understanding the 1000years of rule of Christ
which they think is an earthly rule where Christ will sit on an earthly
Throne ruling worldly countries.

What we generally call as Heaven are all the levels above us. It is almost
impossible to understand the various levels of existence from scriptures
unless the Lord reveals them. Paul too spoke about his vision which was so
real it got him confused, where he ascended to the top 3 levels of Heaven.
It is only when the Lord reveals the Heavens that one starts to see them
clearly in scriptures and thus understand the various beings of Heaven and
the glory of God. Also complicated scriptures like Elijah taken ‘up’ in a
chariot of fire and coming a John the Baptist becomes easy to understand.

Let us get our understanding proper for this is one of the points Paul
states as part of our foundation as Christians (Hebrews 6:1-2). One can
only be a confused Christian if one’s foundation is no strong.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God. Your abode is the Upper Heavens although You are
omnipresent and there is no place where You are not present. Even in Hell
one cannot be away from You. Lord we pray people do not make You into a man
and the Heavens as earthly pleasure resorts like Muslims have done. We pray
we understand the Spirit world better for it is reality and our world just
a delusion awaiting its disintegration...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Genesis 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host
of them.

Proverbs 30:4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath
gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who
hath established all the ends of the earth? what [is] his name, and what
[is] his son’s name, if thou canst tell?

John 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down
from heaven, [even] the Son of man which is in heaven.

Acts 2:29 Men [and] brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the
patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with
us unto this day.

Acts 2:34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith
himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

Romans 10:6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise,
Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring
Christ down [from above]Smile

Ephesians 4:9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended
first into the lower parts of the earth?

Ephesians 4:10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far
above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

John 5:25-29
25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when
the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall
26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to
have life in himself;
27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is
the Son of man.
28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are
in the graves shall hear his voice,
29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection
of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Matthew 25:31-33

Daniel 7:13-14

Revelation 20

Hebrews 6:1-2
1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on
unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead
works, and of faith toward God,
2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of
resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

Playing the division game

Mark 14:70 And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by
said again to Peter, Surely thou art [one] of them: for thou art a
Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth [thereto].

Although we have almost all of the Bible perfectly preserved even though we
have lots of spelling or grammatical errors yet we have some scriptures
which are textual variants meaning vary in different manuscripts (in only
one place we find major addition that is in John 8:3-11 the story of
attempted stoning of an adulterous woman).

Today’s message has one such textual variant. The latter part of the
scripture ‘and thy speech agreeth [thereto]’ is found in some translation
and missing in others, it is because they refer to different sets of

A few days back (25th Feb) my message titled ‘Sin, Curse and Sickness’ I
had pointed out the approaches to study scriptural variants and confirm
what is authentic. If we use the same approach in today’s message we
confirm the reason why newer translations are omitting this latter part of
the verse.

A Galilean varied from other Jews by their traditions and not by their
speech. They had the same ascent or style of speaking. So we find a
deceptive mind that tried to create difference between Galilean and other
Jews in our understanding by adding these few words.

Today the Lord is telling us are we playing this evil game by creating
divisions between Christians because of their place of origin, color,
gender, their way of talking, their language or lifestyle?

Bible says all people are equal in the eyes of God and all are the same
irrespective of their race, color, gender, looks or upbringing. God is
Spirit and He looks at our spirit and its beauty, other things have
insignificant relevance.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Righteous and Loving Father. You Father are non-partial and
love all alike. You Lord see only the hearts of people and all worldly
factors are irrelevant to You. We pray Lord we too learn to be more like
You. We pray we do not differentiate between our brethren and fall victim
to the evil deceit...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Romans 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for
the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor
free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Who do you fellowship with?

1 Corinthians 2:6,7 We speak wisdom, however, among them that are
fullgrown: yet a wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world,
who are coming to nought: but we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, [even]
the [wisdom] that hath been hidden, which God foreordained before the
worlds unto our glory:

In my initial days of coming to know Christ I used to run to any place
where I would get to understand the Word, any preaching or ministry. Slowly
as the Lord Himself started teaching me and building me, my problems
actually started. Previously I could talk to people about the Word of God
freely for I knew less and I was in receiving mode so there was no
conflict, or I knew that which they knew so we built each other like iron
sharpens iron (Antonym - we spoke and spoke but did not build anyone). But
when I started receiving revelation I found I used to spiritually shake
people up and at times harm them more than built them. So I started to
learn what to share and what not to (depending on their receiving capacity)..

Fellowship does not mean socializing. The Greek word comes from the root
meaning to partake and should be with a person with some common level of
spiritual maturity. With the state of understanding of the Bible being so
pitiful, as a Teacher it is very difficult for me to find someone to
fellowship with. I do fellowship with those with other Callings so as to be
built in that area. The last time I felt down spiritually I had to
‘withdraw in the groove’ for the Lord to nourish me.

Fellowshipping is key in one’s spiritual life, after study of the Word,
fellowshipping is most important and takes a place above prayers and even
‘breaking of bread’ (seeking forgiveness of sins). Our fellowship has to be
a chain format and is done with someone who is more mature than us. So one
gives but receives from another. We receive in the various areas which we
operate from and which we do not operate from (Callings) since we are
called to do all things in Christ although we may specialize in a specific
Calling. We are not called to vomit whatever we have within us but share as
much the opposite person can receive, keeping in mind we are to build one
another and not sharpen like iron does to iron (just make activity without
any uplifting).

[Prayer Starter]
Father God You alone are perfect, You alone are Holy God. Yet You Lord
fellowship with us so as to build us and make us more and more like You.
You Lord do not reveal everything in one go but give as much we can
receive. Lord help us to understand the importance of fellowshipping and
learn how to fellowship so that we edify each other...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Acts 2:42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and
fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers:
for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what
communion hath light with darkness?

1 John 1:3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye
also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship [is] with the
Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

Following Christianity but not a Christian

Romans 9:31 But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath
not attained to the law of righteousness.

In today’s message we read Paul stating the Israelites who are called
‘God’s people’ did lots of things which were religious yet were far from
God. The traditions they did may seem to be as per what the Lord said but
when we study what the Bible (OT is what they followed) says we find a
great gap between their understanding of scriptures and what the scriptures

About a month back I saw foreign tourist couple looking for a cab. Since we
were going in the same direction I offered them a lift. On the way I came
to know the woman was a former Jew who now believed in Christ (as well as
other gods - she was inquiring with me about Hinduism). She knew Hebrew (to
some level since all Jews are required to study scriptures) so I asked her
a few things in the Bible as to how they did they not understand such
simple things and she did nothing but smile.

The Jews are a small population compared to other countries yet they are
known for their intelligence and have won more international awards than
most large nations. Yet when we see their understanding of scriptures, one
wonders how they could be such a foolish lot? Everyone talks of all the
enemies that surround them but do not realize their greatest enemy is
themselves, their intelligence which they use against God, to resist Him.

We Christians are not far from being a foolish lot for what we do, many
times is far from what the Word of God tells us to do. We think we know a
lot of scriptures but reality is we hardly follow it. This I do not state
only for the common congregation which only attend ‘Church’ but even those
who minister to them as Pastors and spiritual guides.

Yesterday we saw Bible says not to call any human a ‘spiritual father’ or
‘spiritual mother’ yet we see many including very famous Preachers state
XYZ person is/was their ‘spiritual father’. What is funny is these same
people point fingers at Catholics who call their Priest as ‘fathers’ not
seeing they too do the same mistake.

We can be Christians only if we follow Christ, that does not mean just the
NT but also the OT for it too is Word of the invisible Christ which the
Patriarchs followed.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Wonderful God who is full of Wisdom. We who are your children
seem to lack wisdom and therefore fall prey to vanity. Lord we pray we do
not rely on our worldly wisdom but pray and ask You for wisdom, a wisdom
that comes for You and reveals the Truth. We pray we do not be false
Christians (goats) but we true Christians (sheep) who will enter the Gates
of Heaven on Judgment Day and inherit that which You have set for us...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

2 Chronicles 30:8 Now be ye not stiffnecked, as your fathers were; but
yield yourselves unto Jehovah, and enter into his sanctuary, which he hath
sanctified for ever, and serve Jehovah your God, that his fierce anger may
turn away from you.

Colossians 1:15 who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of
all creation;

Hebrews 11:24-27
24 By faith Moses, when he was grown up, refused to be called the son of
Pharaoh’s daughter;
25 choosing rather to be evil entreated with the people of God, than to
enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
26 accounting the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of
Egypt: for he looked unto the recompense of reward.
27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he
endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

Hebrews 2:13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I
and the children which God hath given me.
Yesterday I mentioned an OT Prophet (Nabi / Man of God – includes other
Callings) is a person who represents God to the people, he or she is a
spokesman/spokeswoman of God. The Priest on the other hand is a person who
represents the people to God. He or she performs the duties God has given
to the people and interacts on behalf of the people. Peter states each one
of us who are baptized in Christ and His Spirit are called to be Priest
which means we stand for the people before the Lord thus Believers do not
have human Priest over them for they themselves are Priests.
As Priest does it mean we represent all mankind? NO
Today’s message (Paul supposedly) speaks of ‘the children which God has
given’. So we all are given a harvest and are accountable for the harvest
given for they are our spiritual children. We are responsible for their
spiritual growth like we are responsible for our natural children. It is
not necessary our natural children will also be our spiritual children.
We see Believers mistakenly think Pastors are Priests, a title or a
Calling. The word Pastor is not an English word but is a Greek word
imported into English without translation. The word ‘Pastor’ means
‘shepherd’ and refers to anyone who ministers (spiritual matters). So
everyone who is in ministry is a Pastor. Every Pastor has spiritual
children but that does not make him or her a spiritual father or mother to
those whom he or she is ministering. Pastoring is a temporary assignment
and as Pastor one has to ultimately hand over the person to the Holy Spirit
like how Jesus did to the twelve He was accountable for (it was through the
twelve symbolizing twelve Fruits of the Spirit, He reached out to the whole
‘Spiritual father’ or ‘spiritual mother’ is not a biblical term but a pagan
term usually used by Catholics and mistakenly used by even Believers. In
the Catholic Church the ones called as ‘fathers’ are actually elders who
are given permission to do priestly duties by the Bishop who is the
official Priest. The Pope who is referred to as ‘holy father’ is also a
Bishop but being the Bishop of Rome which is a key place for the Catholic
Church is considered as chief over all other Bishops thus is selected by
the Cardinals who represent groups of Bishops.
Biblically Bishop is a Calling which Paul put as Administrator and means
‘overseer’. One can also be an Administrator as an Office that is why Paul
gave instructions to Timothy on how to select one who desires to be one.
This can be understood by understanding the fact that both gold and silver
vessels were considered holy in the OT Tabernacle.
We as Believer Church have let in lots of Catholic and Jewish Church
practices which the Lord referred to as Nicolaitian beliefs and which He
states as He hates. The word Nicolas means ‘conqueror / destroyer of the
Let us follow Biblical teaching with understanding and do all things
according to the Lord’s Kingdom.
[Prayer Starter]
Father God, You alone are God and You alone are Spiritual Father unto all.
Jesus said not to call any person a Spiritual Father other than You. Lord
we pray we understand we may be natural fathers yet are just spiritual
shepherds unto our children. We pray we do not try to take your place in
the lives of those whom we minister thereby spiritually destroying them...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
1 Peter 2:9 But ye are an elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a
people for [God’s] own possession, that ye may show forth the excellencies
of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
1 Peter 2:25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto
the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
Revelation 2:6, 14, 15
6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which
I also hate.
14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that
hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock
before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to
commit fornication.
15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which
thing I hate.
Matthew 23:9 And call no man your father on the earth: for one is your
Father, [even] he who is in heaven.
Matthew 23:8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your [ultimate]
teacher, and all ye are brethren.
