Do not idolize any man

Zachariah 1:4 Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets
have cried, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye now from your
evil ways, and [from] your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken
unto me, saith the LORD.

We see Catholics have statues of ‘saints’ who are people whom they think
were holy so they bow down to them and pray to them thinking these people
can intercede to their petitions. I personally cannot comment about the so
called saints but I had the opportunity to have personal interaction with
one whom this church has declared as a saint. When I met the person (more
than once) and had a one to one chat with her, I left she was charity
personified and humility overflowing, but as I came to know the Lord and
His Word then I started wondering if she really knew Christ? Later her
letters to her guardian priest / spiritual guide exposed how she struggled
to know the Lord and was tormented by evil spirits in her last days.

Believers may not have statues of people to worship but they do have living
people (Preachers) whom they idolize and worship. The fact they do not
discern the words of these people with the Word of God shows they have
lifted these people above God and made them their gods.

Paul did tell those who he was ministering to follow him because he
followed Christ because they were spiritual children and were not mature
enough to know Christ directly. It is like a mother breastfeeding a child
of one year or even two is okay but breastfeeding a child above 5 or 10
years would not be approved as mother feeding her kids.

Today’s message tells us not to idolize any person including our Pastors.
We may follow them for a moment but need to understand even Jesus did not
desire His disciple follow the man Jesus but follow His Spirit – the Holy
Spirit – the Spirit of Truth. Jesus said we will do greater things than He
did that is because it is His Spirit will lead us to achieve that. So when
we follow Christ or worship it is the Spirit of Christ we follow, we
worship; in the start we may follow the man Jesus but soon or later we have
to move on to be led by His Spirit - the Holy Spirit.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God, You are Spirit. Your Kingdom Lord is not
temporary but is eternal because it is Spirit world. Lord we pray we
understand it is only by the Spirit of your Son man is restored to You for
we become your Sons of God after being led and transformed by your Spirit.
Lord we pray your people have no gods in their lives and yours leaders know
their responsibility to handover those whom they lead unto the ultimate
true Shepherd the Holy Spirit...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

John 16:7, 13-15
7 But what I am saying is true: my going is for your good: for if I do not
go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to
13 However, when he, the Spirit of true knowledge, has come, he will be
your guide into all true knowledge: for his words will not come from
himself, but whatever has come to his hearing, that he will say: and he
will make clear to you the things to come.
14 He will give me glory, because he will take of what is mine, and make
it clear to you.
15 Everything which the Father has is mine: that is why I say, He will
take of what is mine and will make it clear to you.

Knowledge and Goodness

Romans 15:14 And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye
also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish
{exhort} one another.

In today’s verse we read Paul wishing the Christians of Rome be filled with
goodness and all knowledge so as to exhort one another. The Greek word
translated here as ‘all’ is ‘Pas’ which means ‘each’ so does not mean
‘everything’ but more ‘every kind’, also the word translated as ‘knowledge’
here also means ‘understanding’.

We are called to have knowledge/understanding in every area of God’s
Kingdom. Having knowledge of one area of God’s Kingdom but lacking in
others can cause a person to have misunderstanding. These various
understandings merge at the top as one understanding, one truth and if one
has the prime understanding then the lower various areas become very clear.

One can exhort another only if one is having knowledge of Word of God and
has goodness in them, and if anyone lacks any of these, is sure to deceive
you. That means a person has a good heart / intention but lacks
knowledge/understanding of the Kingdom of God or vice-versa would misled
you and cause your fall.

In today’s era we have most Preachers and Church leaders who have good
intentions but due to their lack of knowledge of the Word of God they fail
to edify the Church. They struggle and go through great suffering so as to
serve, yet hardly see any progress. It is once in a while that someone
comes with both that we see the Church step forward.

Another important fact is one can have goodness and lack
knowledge/understanding of God’s Kingdom but one cannot have
knowledge/understanding of God’s kingdom without having goodness. So if you
sees anyone rattling away about the Kingdom of God but not doing any work
for His Kingdom /serving His people, be rest assured all that the person
speaks or preaches is falsehood.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty and All-knowing God. Nothing is impossible to You and
nothing is hidden from You. You alone are perfect. Lord we pray we realize
without understanding of your Kingdom and without having a heart like yours
which beats for your people, it is not possible to edify or serve your

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Philippians 1:7 Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because
I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence
and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.

2 Peter 1:12 Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in
remembrance of these things, though ye know [them], and be established in
the present truth.

Colossians 1:9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard [it], do not
cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the
knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

The reason Jesus gave was
that Judas was the person written as ‘Son of Perdition’ (destruction) who
would betray Him. Can we say Judas was innocent?

We need to understand the Word of God cannot be changed. Its prophecies
(those not time stamped) can be delayed or quickened but cannot be changed.
Jesus knew as man even if He tried He could have changed Judas. That did
not make Judas innocent victim but it was because of the nature within him
that he could not be saved.

God knows the end result thus we have a Book of Life already filled, but
the fact is since all the names (identities) are not revealed (very few
are) thus one cannot assume oneself as being one amongst them. When I
realized Bible shows a few so called ‘Anointed Men of God’ as failures, it
caused fear in me. This fear caused me to take caution and not take God
(grace of God) for granted.

The fact people have not understood that the concept ‘flock’ of Jesus
Christ includes ‘sheep’ as well as ‘goats’, they think just by believing in
Jesus Christ and following some ‘Christian’ rituals they will receive
‘eternal life’.

Let us understand God is our ‘Helper’ and we have the stirring wheel in our
hands. It is our hearts (inner-man) that stirs our lives. We cannot blame
God for our disasters nor say everything good is also only by God. Yes God
can quicken both depending on the direction we take. Understand we cannot
be called His righteous ones if we were simply puppets in His hands. He has
given is freedom to choose and intervenes as and when we request Him (not
always). It is for this reason He gave us His Word to follow and His Spirit
to help us.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God who is Almighty, Omnipresent and All knowing. Yet You Lord
made man a free living being to choose between good and bad. You know your
sheep and yet allowed goats to be part of the flock until Judgment Day.
Lord we pray we learn not to blame You for all things but take ownness of
ones actions...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
John 12:6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was
a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.

John 6:64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from
the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.

John 17:12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name:
those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the
son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

Matthew 27:9-10
9 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying,
And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was
valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value;
10 And gave them for the potter’s field, as the Lord appointed me.

The Crucified Jesus Christ

1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save
Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

If one asks any Christian who loves the Lord Jesus Christ as to what do
like to see Jesus as, the infant Jesus, the young man Jesus, the crucified
Jesus, the resurrected Jesus or the glorious Jesus (second coming)? The
answer would obviously be the glorious Jesus. But we read in today’s
message Paul talks of the crucified Jesus to the people of the Church of

To understand today’s message in a few words one should understand the
Church of Corinth was the cross of Paul. It was this Church which shook the
very spiritually strong Paul by pointing to him his deficiency of not being
a good orator.

Paul was very knowledgeable and put this very well in words on letter but
he lacked the ability to deliver this in person by speaking. If Paul
existed today most Churches would not have allowed him to speak or deliver
the message during service. People like good orators and when Paul was
compared to evangelists like Timothy whom he nurtured spiritually, it hurt
Paul and disturbed him tremendously.

Paul a Roman name meaning ‘small’ was a humble man in all areas of his life
but when it came to his ministry he was the opposite. Paul considered
himself above others because of the revelations he had received. The
spiritual thorn (his spiritual pride) was something that the Church of
Corinth exposed to Paul. Paul being made aware of this thrice asked the
Lord for grace to overcome this thorn but the Lord wanted him to overcome
it. It took time but Paul did overcome this and when we put his letters in
chronicle order we see this same man spiritually humbled and refers himself
as the least amongst the Apostles.

Being humble does not mean to make oneself valueless / worthless, it means
acknowledging one limitations / deficiencies and lifting /encouraging
others to be greater than oneself.

God has given us the ability to do all things yet did not make us the
master in all things. In Callings each one masters in specific area and
thus needs the help of others (other Callings) so as to be a complete body.

Today’s message talks of remembering the crucified Jesus Christ and seeing
His humility on the cross. The Son of God had humbled himself by giving up
His glory, He became a mere man to fulfil the mission of salvation for
mankind. We see a glimpse of this humbling of Him as He lies crucified on
the cross.

Let us learn to put the purpose of Christ (salvation of others) in our
lives above our desires and ourselves. Let us learn to humble ourselves by
looking at the crucified Jesus Christ.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God and nothing is impossible for You. You can crush
evil in a moment let You chose man to crush its head by overcoming it. You
Lord, put the purpose above yourself thus the Ark was kept in the Holy of
Holies place while the candlestick (symbolizing the Holy Spirit) and
showbread (symbolizing the Son) was kept in the Holy place. Lord we pray we
learn to be humble towards You and your purpose in our lives by looking at
the crucified Jesus Christ so as to learn to lift others like He did...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
1 Corinthians 2:1-7

2 Corinthians 11:6 But though [I be] rude in speech, yet not in knowledge;
but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things.

2 Corinthians 12:7-11
7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the
revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of
Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is
made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my
infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in
necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I
am weak, then am I strong.
11 I am become a fool in glorying; ye have compelled me: for I ought to
have been commended of you: for in nothing am I behind the very chiefest
apostles, though I be nothing.

Acts 24:1 And after five days Ananias the high priest descended with the
elders, and [with] a certain orator [named] Tertullus, who informed the
governor against Paul.

Acts 20:9 And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus,
being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk
down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead.

God rejected the Jews

Romans 11:21 For if God spared not the natural branches, [take heed] lest
he also spare not thee.

In most part of the Bible we read about the Jews being called ‘God’s
People’ and we read of the tremendous miracles that God did for them. But
we fail to note that their one action caused them to be rejected by the
Lord and that was they rejecting the Lord Jesus Christ as their savior.

If one reads the Catechism of the Catholic Church a document which defines
the belief of the Catholic Church, section 841 speaks of the relationship
of Muslims to the Catholic Church and to salvation. In section 841 of the
CCC Part 1 Chapter 3 of the Vatican Church it says since the Muslims know
God and profess to hold the faith of Abraham they too will enter Heaven.

Firstly the Catholic Church has studied neither the Quran/Hadiths nor
understood the Bible. In the Quran the ‘Abraham’ referred to is not the
Abraham of the Bible. The records connected to the Abraham of the Quran do
not match to that of Abraham of the Bible. When we match identities of two
persons we do not see the common factors between them but the differences
between the two. It is not only with Abraham, even all other Biblical
characters mentioned in the Quran including Jesus/Isa err and are not the
same. What is more important is Allah (the god) is not the God of the Bible..

It is not only by acknowledging Jesus and accepting Him that a person is
saved but only those that follow Him are. Following the Lord Jesus Christ
is not the same as following someone on a social media, following a person
spiritually requires the person to imitate the person that is live
according to the teachings of that person.

Some days back a brother was following the ritual and beliefs of the Jews.
When I asked him if he was a Christian or a Jew, he got offended.

Catholics who follow the Catholic Church cannot be followers of Jesus for
Jesus said one cannot have two masters. Similarly Jews who follow Judaism
cannot be people of God for Judaism is not Biblical but is a
misunderstanding of the Bible.

Today’s scripture has Paul who was a former fanatic Jew speaking of God not
sparing the Jews (the natural branch). Paul who had a Jewish name Saul
before which was given by his Jewish mother, realized it did not matter
what race or nation one came from to be in Christ, what mattered is ones
faith and obedience in the Lord, thus he reverted to his Roman name Paul
given by his Roman father.

Without the Lord Jesus Christ no person can enter Heaven irrespective of
all the so called ‘good works’ one does. ‘Robinhood’ is not a qualification
accepted in Heaven. God desires total transformation and without Christ
(Jesus and His Spirit) it is not possible, the total transformation is not
an individual task but a collective task; that is why we as a body are
called His Bride.

Those who are Muslims, Jews, Catholics or even ‘Protestant’ will not
qualify to enter Heaven unless they are ‘in Christ’. Let us too not assume
that we will enter Heaven because we know or acknowledge a person named
‘Jesus’. Let us ask ourselves, am I a disciple of Christ? Do I follow Him?

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You opened the gates of Heaven by becoming a
sacrifice for man. Lord we pray we understand Lord Jesus Christ is the only
WAY to Heaven and eternal life and it is the Holy Spirit who leads us on
this WAY so as to enable us to reach our destination...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no
man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Matthew 7:13-14
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide [is] the gate, and broad [is]
the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which leadeth
unto life, and few there be that find it.

CCC Part 1 Chapter 3 (841) “The plan of salvation also includes those who
acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims;
these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore
the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge on the last day.” (Page 242, 243)

Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead,
thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

To be in a Calling

1 Timothy 1:7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither
what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

Callings is key to the foundation of the Church because they are related to
the Seven Spirits of the Holy Spirit (Candlestick). So we have the Spirit
of the Lord (the Head) + 6 which are the callings (Isaiah 11:2)

Paul wrote on it in his letters but since his audience had a problem to
understand he could not write in depth (solid meat) and had to give only a
preview (milk); he did with Callings as he did with Fruits of the Spirit or
about other spiritual topics, he mixed them up or gave in parts. Thus we
need to study spiritual matters in depth from the source which Paul
referred to, that is the OT.

Amongst the Callings there are 3 which have dual roles even though the
Spirit is one. I speak with great confidence not only because of scriptural
references (the elaborate design of the dress of the High Priest that was
related to Callings) but also because as humans we are designed in a shape
(external as well internal anatomy) so as to understand Callings. Coming to
those Callings which have dual roles, they are Healers (Natural and
Deliverance) [legs], Evangelist (Word and Worship) [hands] and Teachers
(Natural/Historical and Spiritual) [shoulders], these individually being
one Calling have 2 roles.

We who are in Christ can do all things that means I can be as effective as
an Apostle, or prophesy as an Prophet, understand and teach as a Teacher,
preach as an Evangelist, manage a congregation as an Administrator or heal/
deliver as an Healer; but then I will not be able to do as well as the
person who is in that Calling. One also needs to take account of the
maturity of that person in that Calling.

Today’s message talks of a foolishness which we see is rampant in our
Churches today. We have people trying to change their Callings by giving
titles unto themselves. Even though Bible says we cannot change our Calling
yet Church leaders are prevalently doing so. It is for this reason we have
a very confused and unproductive Church.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You are Lord of order and system. Even when You
created this natural creation, You did according to the image of things of
the Spirit world. You Lord do not do anything without design and
understanding being built into it. Like your Word is one and You are one so
also all things are made to understand one thing that is your Kingdom. Lord
we pray we do not behave like fools but do all things by understanding...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Isaiah 11: 2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of
wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of
knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

1 Corinthians 12:28-29
28 And God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets,
third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, helping,
administrating, and various kinds of tongues.
29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work
30 Do all possess gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all
31 But earnestly desire the higher gifts. And I will show you a still
more excellent way.

Ephesians 4:11-13
11 And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors
and teachers,
12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body
of Christ,
13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of
the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the
fullness of Christ,

Service in Office

1 Timothy 6:2 And they that have believing masters, let them not despise
[them], because they are brethren; but rather do [them] service, because
they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach
and exhort.

We as Christians are called not just to preach but to live what we preach.

When I came to know Christ there was a desire to do full time ministry.

Once on my trip abroad a sister wanted to bless me with a good amount of
cash. I was reluctant to take it but I obliged, interestingly later while
shopping I lost that exact same amount of cash (the cash she gave was still
with me). I had no idea how an identical amount could get displaced!

The Lord wanted me to know He was my provider and He would provide for me
and my ministry through my work. He made me understand it is more difficult
to live a normal working person life and still witness Christ than to
witness Him as a full time minister. He put Paul as an example. Paul was a
business man who although did get work for God’s Kingdom yet was making
tents and trading in it to support himself and even those ministering with

For the Lord both Paul and Peter were both full time minister. Paul decided
to work and provide for himself while Peter decide to take support from the
congregation. Was Paul better than Peter? No. Paul had the grace from the
Lord for his provision.

Those Preachers who take a share of the collection (more than essentials –
OT fist full) do not realize they are encashing their riches here on earth
and would land to be poor in Heaven. Heaven is not a flat place all at the
same level. It has levels with the best being closer to the throne of glory
(where the glory is concentrated).

Today’s message says we should consider ourselves to be blessed to have a
boss who is a Believer and consider them as family. So serving them should
be like serving a family member. And if our boss is not a Believer yet we
are called to do an honest job so has to hold high the name of Jesus Christ
whom we represent.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord hold your Name high above all things
through your Word for your Name is Holy. Lord we pray we realize as
Christians we stand in your name. If we do not be a good example we bring
your name down and if we shine as an example we lift your name high. We
pray we always lift your name high...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Breaking of bread – knowing the Lord Jesus Christ

Luke 24: 35 And they told what things [were done] in the way, and how he
was known of them in breaking of bread.

In the OT in the design of the Tabernacle, the Holy place had the
candlestick with its 7 shafts and it also had the shewbread which were
eternal since they symbolized the Holy Spirit and Christ. The Holy Spirit
with His 7 Spirits (which are related to Callings) yet 1 symbolized the
candlestick and Jesus said I am the bread that came from Heaven thus
symbolized the shewbread.

If we study the Hebrew words and it root it reveals more depth and
understanding of the terms Jesus used. Jesus said unless we eat His flesh
we will not have life. He did not literally mean eating His actual flesh.
The Hebrew word for flesh comes from the root word message. So Jesus
actually said if we do not eat (take in and make a part of us) His message
we will have no partaking in His Kingdom thus no life.

Coming to bread the Hebrew word comes from the root word ‘to fight/battle’.
Jesus once said He did not come to make peace but to cause people to war
against their own family, against society and primarily against themselves.
Jesus said the world hates God and thus we cannot be with the world as well
be with God. Therefore even though we live in this world yet we are called
to battle this world.

Jesus said He is the stumbling rock on which we either fall on or it will
falls on us either way we will get consumed. Like it or not with the
existence of Christ we have to die and that is the truth. Either we accept
Christ and die to this world or we enjoy this world and die an eternal
death. The worldly death is a short one which we can apprehend but the
spiritual death is not like natural death but a long suffering which we
cannot apprehend.

Let us remember when we break bread that we are called to battle and let us
understand the battle we are called to, it is only then we will know the
Lord Jesus Christ.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are called us to be the light in
darkness. We pray Lord we understand we are called to battle darkness and
not be friends with it. We pray we understand people are not darkness but
the understanding that controls them is the darkness we need to battle. As
we battle we know your understanding will increase in us and we will find
the battle easier...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Sealed, unsealed with and by clay

John 9:15 Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his
sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do

Jesus healed people by just telling them that they are healed. He taught
His disciples to speak to sicknesses and weaknesses, rebuking and
commanding them to leave so as to heal people. He also healed people when
they touched Him (His anointing), we also have a case where a woman stole
her healing by her touching the hem of Jesus’ garment (the blue ribbon put
at the hem was an identity of a Jew).

We see in today’s incident (verse) Jesus healed a person by putting clay
(dust mixed with spittle) on the eyes of the person and asked him to wash
in the pool of Siloam (meaning ‘sent’) and he gained his eyesight.

The question is why did Jesus put clay? Could He not just heal him by
touching him or by rebuking his blindness?

In OT clay was used by God to make man (dust was formed into shape); used
by man to make pots and also to seal. It was used to seal wine pots (kept
for maturing wine), sealing earthen pots in which important documents or
objects were kept and even doors were sealed to identify if anyone entered
the house in absence of the owner.

In today’s message we see Jesus put clay on the eyes of a person born blind
and gets his eyesight restored by asking him to wash got him to remove the
seal that too in a pool called ‘sent’ (Siloam).

In OT we see the Lord sealed wombs and women did not conceive and it also
says the wombs He opened no power could stop the child from being conceived..

The Lord is telling us (made of clay) we have the power to seal and unseal.
Jesus said to His disciples what we seal here on earth would be sealed in
Heaven and what we set free on earth will be set free in Heaven. Heaven is
a spiritual place so what we hold power over to seal or unseal are
spiritual things.

Let us understand and exercise this authority we hold in Christ.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord chose us to have authority in You. Lord
we pray we understand the authority we hold and start to exercise it so as
to bring glory unto You like Jesus did as man...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

evidences, this evidence of the purchase, both which is sealed, and this
evidence which is open; and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may

6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the
spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,
7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by
interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came

shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be
loosed in heaven.

Neither due to signs and wonders nor knowledge

John 12:11 Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and
believed on Jesus.

Today’s verse talks of the effect Lazarus’ bringing back from the death
caused amongst everyone. The fact the whole town greeted Jesus with palms
was because of the miracle of Jesus bringing Lazarus back to life.

I have mentioned before in detail that Lazarus’ bringing back to life was
unlike any miracle Jesus did before, it had nothing much to do with the
number of days after which He did it but because of the partly Egyptian
customs of embalming the death which the Jews of northern Israel followed
(especially Galileans/Samaritans), they semi mummified the body. So Jesus
partly regenerated Lazarus’ some organs while bringing him back to life.

Amongst the Jews there were the Pharisees and the Sadducees. The Pharisees
were people seeking signs and wonders while the Sadducees were people
seeking knowledge (while the Greeks sought understanding). The knowledge
which the Sadducees sought was floored (worldly) that is why they did not
accept all the book of the OT and had a much distorted understanding of
after-life and Heaven (including Angels).

Jesus rebuked the Pharisees but hardly bordered to rebuke the Sadducees,
when He was asked a question He would answer with a question and not with
an answer. If we see amongst His followers there many Pharisees but hardly
any Sadducees. People who gauge God with worldly knowledge are harder to
bring to know Him than those who seek signs and wonders. It is for this
reason many Catholics who join charismatic groups mostly turn up to follow
Christ and become Believers.

The miracle of Lazarus baffled not only the Pharisees but also the
Sadducees for it was not just an unbelievable miracle but also something
that failed the understanding of any sane person.

Bible says we need to be like a child to enter the Kingdom of God. It does
not mean to be childish, since we are blessed with the Spirit of Truth who
teaches us all things in Christ and it also does not mean to be innocent /
ignorant of that which is happening around us, for we are called to be
overcomers. We are called to be like children having great expectation
(even the impossible) and always ready to learn and know more. One without
the other will not get us to know God well.

[Payer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God and nothing is impossible to You yet You Lord do
all things in its time and purpose. You Lord desire man to be the vessel
through which You want to do great things so that man can earn that place
and position which You have planned for him in Heaven. We pray Lord we
neither seek You with our worldly understanding nor limit You according to
our understanding...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Calling On is not same as Calling

Romans 10:13 For whoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Long time back as I was growing in the Lord I was asked to delivery someone
who was tormented by a spirit. It was not a spirit which could be commanded
and removed, it was amongst those Jesus said are removed only by prayer
(the word fasting was not part of the scripture and was added much later).

At that time a thought crossed my mind linked to today’s scripture which
states those who call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ shall be saved.
So I was persistent behind him to speak out the name ‘Jesus’. He did try to
tire me by refusing quite some time but later he did and yet it made no
effect so I had to give up (sadly he is in a mental asylum today, I am
waiting on the Lord to tell me when to approach him).

He was one who spoke a lot about Jesus and attended / visited the Catholic
Church more often than regular Catholics (his mother hardened him). He was
one amongst others (all were Catholics initially) who attended my Bible
classes (my first batch) for almost 8years and all those who accepted the
Lord in between and came out of that Church (including their immediate
families) are doing well, but those who attended and refused to receive the
Word either died tragically or went into disastrous problems.

There was a time I had confusion as what was the actual name of Jesus. Was
it the English version ‘Jesus’, or the Greek version ‘Iesus’, or the
Aramaic version ‘Yeshua’ or the Hebrew version ‘Joshua’? Then there were a
heretic group that I came across who stated ‘Emmanuel’ is the name.

When the Lord opened the meaning of the term name and what it really means,
then I understood the scripture was perfect and sure to bring result.

In today’s scripture the Greek word ‘epikaleomai’ used here and translated
as ‘call upon’ or ‘call on’ does not mean verbal calling but means ‘to take
on the surname’, in other words be part of the family. Being part of the
family means to have common genetic nature, it means being like Him.

The scriptures says only when we put on the nature of Christ we are saved.
There are other scriptures which says there is power in the Name of Jesus,
it does not mean taking the name or speaking the word ‘Jesus’ but by
following Him.

Christianity is unlike other religions which encourage chanting and outward
actions. Christianity demands internal reaction and change. Anyone who does
not change but resists change when the Word is spoken will see worse

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You alone are God. There is none like You thus when
You were asked your name, You said ‘I am who I am’ but foolish man took
your name as ‘I AM’. Lord we pray we stand above worldly thinking and
worldly ways. We understand things in its truth, which is shown through
your Word. We pray You open the hearts and minds of your people and bring
the change so as to be in your Name, like You were in the Father’s Name and
experienced glory...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Romans 13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision
for the flesh, to [fulfil] the lusts [thereof].

Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have
put on Christ.

Exodus 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus
shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

John 17:12 While I was with them, I kept them in thy name which thou hast
given me: and I guarded them, and not one of them perished, but the son of
perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

Blessed are they that mourn

Malachi 3:14,15 Ye have said, It [is] vain to serve God: and what profit
[is it] that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully
before the LORD of hosts? And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that
work wickedness are set up; yea, [they that] tempt God are even delivered.

When a person keeps the commandment of the Lord / walks in His ways, the
person will morn. Such a statement may disturb a Christian for they come to
the Lord to be comforted and not to morn.

It is true when a person comes to the Lord the person is comforted, but
those who serve the Lord will take His burden of saving the lost and such a
person will morn for them. It is the sadness of the lost that the Lord
speaks of having in our hearts for such a sadness will cause us to move and
serve them.

In the Beatitudes Jesus said blessed are they that morn (today) for they
will be comforted (later). In Luke 6:25 Jesus goes on to say woe (hopeless
are) those who are full (satisfied) for they shall hunger (lack in spirit),
woe (hopeless are) those who rejoice (on earthly things) now they shall
mourn and lament at a death (of themselves). Jesus said if we need to be
His disciples we need to carry our Cross (purpose in Christ - saving the
lost) and follow Him (live our lives like Him - His commands). If we do not
be His disciples we will not know the truth and if we do not know the
truth, we will not be set free since it is the truth that sets us free.

If any Christian thinks he or she has become a Christian to enjoy a good
life, they are in the wrong place. Christianity is about giving unto others
that which the Lord gives us. If we want to inherit the great things in
Heaven we need to let go of the little things here. Look at the characters
of the Bible do we find any true disciple enjoying earthly life, all
suffered and all lived a life to serve others, not to do social service but
to guide and build others in the ways of the Lord.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are almighty God. There is nothing that is impossible for You yet
You Lord use mere man to partner with You for the salvation of the lost.
Lord You great things to those who show responsibility in little things.
Let us understand although our salvation if free and by your grace alone
yet it is not free, we need to share that we received from You...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse [your] hands,

9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to
mourning, and [your] joy to heaviness.
10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

Matthew 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any [man] will come
after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Luke 9:23 And he said to [them] all, If any [man] will come after me, let
him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

John 8:31-32

my word, [then] are ye my disciples indeed;

Gifts presented to the child Jesus

Matthew 2:11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young
child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when
they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and
frankincense, and myrrh.

There are lots of distorted and misunderstood information about the wise
men and the gifts they gave to the child Jesus.

Firstly we need to get into us these wise men (learned men) met Jesus not
when he was just born. Jesus was born outside an inn while Mary and Joseph
were waiting for a room to be free. She gave birth to the baby who was
wrapped in a cloth and placed in a wooden box (manger) kept outside the inn
to feed the donkeys of the guest. Jesus was born during the Feast of
Tabernacle / Tents / Sukkot. It was the Catholic Church that created the
crib, put the infant Jesus and His family in a stable and moved His
birthdate to December.

It was also not a star that was seen moving but was the planet Jupiter
which was strongly visible in that period. During that time they did not
know the difference between star and planets. Jupiter overlapped the star
Regal when the wise men reached Jerusalem and thus was seen brighter.
Computer aided astronomy software can create the sky position of any given
date, time and place of view from earth.

The only people that met baby Jesus outside the inn when He was just born
were the shepherds whom the Angels had informed. We need to note that
shepherds in Jerusalem do not take their flock to graze outdoors late
during December due to extreme climate so this did not happen in December.

Today’s scriptures uses the term young child for Jesus and not infant. The
wise men had met Jesus almost 3 months to 1 year 3 months after His birth
(they met Him in Dec and we know this by astronomy / the heavenly sign thus
the latter figure is more so since Herod killed all children below two

It is assumed there were 3 wise men because of the three gifts, which is
wrong. The three gifts were given specifically to very great kings
(Emperors) and it was not is small boxes (symbolic amounts) as shown in
pictures / illustrations. Each wise man bough all the three gifts. These
wise men which were more than 3 since they had a large caravan and this
caravan had caught the attention of King Herod. These men had come from
eastern countries (properly Asian countries like India) and were known for
their extravagant riches in that period. Their connection is linked to
Daniel / Babylonian era. Hebrew was used in India as an official language
(official seals in Hebrew were found) during Emperor Ashoka reign.

Joseph is assumed to be a carpenter. The word used in Greek is workmanship
(builder / one who builds using wood or other materials). The Jewish
ancient text although does not speak well about the relationship between
Mary and Joseph, it notes Joseph as a builder who build houses. The last
record of Joseph in the Bible is when Jesus was of 12 years old. Even
between this twelve years period the family lived in exile in Egypt. Since
Mary and Joseph had at least 5 children between them we can safely assume
Joseph was there for at least 12 to 15 years.

If we put this facts into perspective the family of Jesus including His
brothers and sisters (children of Mary and Joseph) would not have had to
work for their daily needs. The family was never settled even when Joseph
was there so God had provided for them via these gifts.

God is our provider and when we are in Him, He provides for our today and
our tomorrow like He did to the family of Mary and Joseph.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Father and no one else is our spiritual Father. You alone gave
us life and You alone provide for us. Our natural parents are vessels
through whom You bought us into this world an through whom You provide for
our needs. We know Lord we can always trust in You to provide for us in
supernatural ways...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Matthew 2:1-2
1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the
king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his
star in the east, and are come to worship him.

Matthew 2:16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men,
was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in
Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under,
according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men.

Feeding Milk and not Meat

1 Corinthians 3:2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto
ye were not able [to bear it], neither yet now are ye able.

A mother bringing up an infant knows at what stage she needs to give what
food to the child. In the womb the child was fed by the umbilical cord but
after birth the mother starts with breastfeeding and slowly introduces
things like soups and crushed solid food and then solid food not based on
time but on the development of the teeth /gums of child. To consume solid
meat one needs teeth that are well developed. Humans initially have milk
teeth which fall by the age of 8 to 12 and then the permanent teeth
develop. The age of 8 is important since scientifically the brain of a
child grows till then and after that one uses what is grown, also we see
the Jews start study of the Torah when a child is of 8 years.

When I write my daily messages I get response from people that I write
‘hard’ or ‘strong’ messages which are difficult for normal Christians to
digest. Frankly to say I try not to give solid food, it is very rare I do
but most of my messages are like cereal food soaked in milk, it has very
little bits of solid food but mostly milk.

We read in today’s message Paul too faced the same problem. People say
Paul’s letters are very deep or strong, even the churches he wrote to
especially Church of Corinth complained, but Paul clearly stated he did not
have the privilege to minister solid food for the people were not
spiritually developed and survived on milk. Paul was not a failure in his
delivery but his spiritual harvest were those spiritual growing [children
of Israel], unbelievers and those in authority. God thus did not give him
the ability as a good orator. People who think Bible is simple are those
who live on milk and lack teeth. One cannot read a verse and go by its
simple English.

Our spiritual teeth is discernment, the more we grow in discernment the
more solid food we can consume. When we do not have discernment and try to
consume solid food we will either get chocked or we will vomit everything
we took in. Our digestive system is not like that of some animals who can
swallow a whole animal and digest it slowly, we need to chew and break it
before swallowing to digest.

The Greek word for discern is ‘diakrino’ which is a compound word ‘through’
+ ‘separation’. We need to separate not only what is served to us but also
ourselves from our worldly knowledge (good and evil). My spiritual growth
happened after I realized as a Catholic I was deceived at every level so I
started with a new, clean slate, separating myself from what I knew. We
also need to keep separating (chew) what we consume, the more we chew
[meditate on] the more we get out of what we consume. When we truly study
each scripture we will find its understanding so deep that even one verse
at time a simple word can take days at time weeks to thoroughly digest.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and all knowing. Even though You gave your Word in the
beginning and by your Word everything was formed yet your Word was revealed
bit by bit to those who walked in your ways and led by your Spirit. Lord we
pray we realize the purpose of your Word is to reveal the Truth and the day
the Truth is know your Word returns to You and we are restored in You. We
pray we grow in discernment and understanding so that we come closer to

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas [there is] among you envying, and
strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

2 Corinthians 10:10 For [his] letters, say they, [are] weighty and
powerful; but [his] bodily presence [is] weak {feeble}, and [his] speech
contemptible {make no sense}.

When His Kindness and Love appeared

Titus 3:4 But when the kindness of God our Saviour, and his love toward
man, appeared,

It is good to study Biblical languages, they give greater depth of
understanding since all existing translation have issues. We cannot expect
them go to that depth of each word, also they are limited by English
language limitations.

Today’s scripture has two words ‘kindness’ and ‘love’. The Greek words used
are ‘chrestotes’ and ‘philanthropia’.

Chrestotes is translated as ‘moral goodness’ its root meaning is ‘giving a
loan’. A loan is always paid back, not written off. Christ paid the price
for our sins and it is His ‘chrestotes’ which means we need to respond or
repay. It is not that we need to pay back to Christ but to His lost sheep.
This can be understood by the parable about payback of loan between the
King, servant and another (Matthew 18:23-34).

Philanthropia is a compound word of ‘philo’ and ‘anthropos’.

Philo is may a times translated as love or friendship, the Greek word for
love is ‘agape’ and coming to friendship is fellowship, an association
based on give and take of feelings or common things. Philo is not used in
our love relationship with God, Jesus used it in John 15:1-12 when
explaining the business of God as a husband man (vineyard caretaker). Here
too He spoke of give and take, receiving and return, we receive life and we
return fruit of life. If no fruit is found in us, then we will be cut off
and loose life. The best translated for Philo is associate and with
business sense it is well understood. Anthropos means man. Philanthropia
thus means an association with man (here talks of association between
Godhead and man through the Lord Jesus Christ).

Both the words talk of response and return. They both do not expect man to
return back to God but unto others.

A Christian who thinks there is no works in their relationship between God
and man, has not understood Christianity. Jesus said ‘do unto others as I
have done unto you’, ‘love one another as I have loved you’.

We who have received from the Lord have to invest our ‘talents’ into others
and cannot keep it saying ‘it is the grace of God’. When the Lord comes
again He will ask what we have done with that we received from Him. If we
have not invested we will not only lose what we received but will be
punished for our unfaithfulness, but if we have invested wisely we will
received in multiplications.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You a Holy, Merciful and Loving God. You ask us to be holy for You are
Holy. You ask us to be merciful for You are merciful. You ask us to love
others for You loved us. Lord we pray we understand we cannot take your
love and grace for granted. We are called to give unto others as we have
received from You...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Carrying the Cross

Matthew 27:32 And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by
name: him they compelled to bear his cross.

The crucifix is considered a symbol of victory by Christians and a large
section of Christians consider it a religious object giving reverence to
it, by kissing it, bowing to it and worshiping it.

There are many controversies and misunderstandings with regarding the
crucifix. Firstly its shape is unconfirmed there are 3 shapes in the going:
the typical cross shape, then the plus shape and also the Y shape (Peter
mentions Christ died on a cut tree). Hindu Vedas speak of the Prince (of
god) was sacrificed on a pole.

If one goes into history the concept of crucifixion was made known by the
Assyrians who were the most barbaric people when it came to matters
regarding torturing and killing enemies or even rituals like child
sacrifice. Jonah hatted them from the depth of his heart because of what
they did to the Israelites, so much so was his hatred that he took to
disobey the Lord on carrying the message of salvation to them in Nineveh
and ran the other direction so as to see their destruction.

Assyrians used to hang people on poles outside cities, bruise them so that
they were weak to escape and they would be pecked to death by birds who ate
their flesh. Later they took this further by making them to sit naked on
pointed poles which pierced them slowly and this was done to even women and
children. They were known to skin people alive and were also famous for
child sacrifices to their gods. Hitler envied the ancient Assyrians and
tried to copy them but being Catholic he did not take it to that extreme.

The Romans who were known to rule with an iron claw made stone crucifixes
outside cites they ruled as a mark of fear to those who do grave crimes.
Once in a year or twice in a year they would crucify these criminals
especially when there was a large gathering of people in that city.

As per historians during the time of Jesus all the stone crucifixes were
occupied so they had to arrange a temporary wooden one. This was done to
fulfil prophecies and sacrifices as per the books of Moses. The wood had to
be of teak as per books of Moses (shape was irrelevant).

In today’s message we find Jesus Himself did not carry the wooden object on
which He was crucified for He was bruised terribly for the 5 days He was
under arrest. Scriptures state He was beyond recognition even as a human.
Simon of Cyrene a Jew was caught and forced to carry the wooden object. It
was an object of shame thus he was forced to carry (drag) it. It is written
later he and his sons accepted Christ and became Christians.

The Cross of Christ is not about the wooden object, nor its shape. The
Greek word ‘stauros’ comes from the root work ‘histemi’ which means cause
or stand. In the OT the Cross (Cause) of Christ was symbolized by the Ark
of Covenant and the Israelites crossed into the Promised Land by carrying
it. Paul understood the symbolization of the Cross in the OT and thus spoke
of the Cross having power of God.

The best way to understand and study the Cross is to study the OT Ark, its
design, shape and material as well as the objects placed in it. Without the
carrying Cross (Cause) of Christ we Christians will not be Christian and we
will not be able to enter Heaven our Promised Land.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are mighty God. You Lord made an object of shame by the enemies
into an object that carries your power. Lord we pray we know the real Cross
and how it is key to our salvation. We pray every Christian carry the Cross
like the Israelites carried it so as to enter the Promised Land. We pray we
too will quickly enter the true Promised Land by carrying the Cross of

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose
stripes ye were healed.

1 Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish
foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

Matthew 16:24-25
24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any [man] will come after me,
let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose
his life for my sake shall find it.

Be not caught asleep

Matthew 25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom
cometh; go ye out to meet him.

The coming again of Christ is the most favorite topic amongst Christians.
They love to discuss this without end. Ask anyone when is Christ coming and
one may say any time now, approx. next year, in a couple of years. What is
common amongst most is that coming of Christ is at hand and this was the
same with them 10 years back and also with others 50 years back.

Jehovah’s Witnesses and other Doom’s Day Christian cult’s leaders are
ill-famous for giving dates for Judgment Day and these dates failing.
Movies on 2012 (end of the world), Armageddon, Apocalypse are examples of
how people love this topic even though they fear it, these movies did box
office collections.

Today’s message talks of the Bridegroom coming at midnight. The parable
does not literally mean time of day/night but means when people are fast
asleep. When Jesus spoke of Judgment Day He compared it to a thief coming
in the night and to the flood of Noah which came suddenly. In these
examples too the thief does not come when people are awake but when they
are asleep and flood came when the evil people least expected a flood of
that magnitude to come. What is important to note is in the case of Noah,
he and his family were prepared for it and even though they did not know
exactly when the floods would come, they knew one thing until the ark was
done it would not flood that is why although it was an enormous project
that took almost 100years yet they kept doing it. The flood came
immediately after Noah finished the Ark and boarded all the animals he had
to save.

Bible says the end will not come until first all the prophecies come to
pass and secondly the work given unto us is complete. Do we have an
approximate time? Yes, the day is known but not the hour. Bible gives a lot
of clues, like Noah took 100 years Bible speaks of 1000years of the rule of
Christ (coming of Word of God on a white horse), every few people are aware
we are living in that period and it started almost 500years back (with
Reformation movement). The book of Daniel also says the Lord stating
through the Angel Time, Time and a half (millennium, millennium and half)
till every prophecy is completed and then only will the end would come.
Jesus’ resurrection too was symbolic to this He resurrected before the
third day ended, He said the sign of Jonah was for the wicked. Feast of
Trumpets is to do with coming again of Christ but the exact year is not

Like the birth of Christ even though was not given exactly yet there were
few Men of God and people who listen to them (Wise men) that knew around
when and were prepared for it. Had Jesus not born exactly on that time,
died and gone to Hell exactly on time, a little delay would have been doom
to the few souls from the time of Noah who were in Hell and were saved by
His preaching in Hell (Peter specifically does not mention Adam, Eve or any
other soul before Noah as being in Hell when Jesus went there). God
fulfilled His promise given to Noah.

Understanding Judgment Day is key for Christian foundation and when this
with other few topics mentioned by Paul are clear there is no chance of
being deceived.

What people who are shouting day and night and asking people to look up and
walk are doing is fulfil prophecy, they get others fed-up so that when the
real time comes they will be asleep. Paul does confirm when people say all
is well and there is a false peace, at that time Christ will come.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and nothing is hidden from You for You are Omnipresent and
all knowing. Lord what You have spoken is known and what is not spoken not
known to anyone no even the Angels. Christ as man too did not know the hour
but was aware of the approx. time so did the other Apostles. We pray Lord
You open the eyes of your people that they are not deceived in wasting time
but like Noah do the job at hand. Until the job is not done of saving all
those souls whose names are written in the Book of Life and every prophecy
comes to pass the end would not come.

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Matthew 24:37-38, 42-44
37 But as the days of Noe [were], so shall also the coming of the Son of
man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and
drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered
into the ark,
42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch
the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered
his house to be broken up.
44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son
of man cometh.

Matthew 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be
not troubled: for all [these things] must come to pass, but the end is not

1 Thessalonians 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden
destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they
shall not escape.

1 Peter 3:18-20
18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust,
that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but
quickened by the Spirit:
19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God
waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few,
that is, eight souls were saved by water.

Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no [man], no, not the
angels of heaven, but my Father only.

Can I lose my salvation?

John 13:18 I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the
scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his
heel against me.

Most Christians do not get this into them that just by believing about
Jesus or in Jesus one does not have the assurance to enter Heaven. We have
in today’s message a case of Judas who initially believed but later forsook
Christ for greed. People say he fulfilled prophesy so it is not necessary
we too will lose salvation like him.

One of the problems in not understanding the term ‘believe’ is the language
issue. In Greek we have 7 tenses compared to 3 tenses in English language.
Also in Greek a verb is rendered with TVM (Tense, Voice, Mood) this gives a
deep and clear understanding of what the speaker wants to project.

If we look at all the times Jesus spoke the word ‘believe’ concerning to
salvation or receiving the promises of God He either said in in Present,
Active or in Aorist, Active. The tense Aorist in Greek is a concoction of
past, present and future at the same time, it simply means eternally. So in
simple words Jesus said we need to remain in a state of believe till the
day we die to receive salvation. That means if I was believing or by my
confession or action deny Christ (backslide) then I stand to lose our
salvation. When it comes to wrongs God does not look at what you and I did
but what we are doing. If we change and walk in the ways of the Lord, God
forgets / writes off our wrongs.

Repentance is not about being sorry but more about correcting oneself, the
Greek word comes from the term ‘choosing the right path’.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Truth, Righteousness and Holiness. You God desire us to be
holy and righteous for You are Holy and Righteous. Righteous and holiness
cannot be earned but only by having faith and truth (that is revealed by
your Spirit) that we can receive the Fruit of righteousness and holiness.
We pray Lord we understand You desire us to remain in You for You to remain
in us. We pray we do not lose on this race of keeping the faith...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you,
that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and [that] your fruit should
remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give
it you.

Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here [are] they that
keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

1 Corinthians 9:24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but
one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

Either by life or by death

Philippians 1: 20 According to my earnest expectation and [my] hope, that
in nothing I shall be ashamed, but [that] with all boldness, as always,
[so] now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether [it be] by
life, or by death.

Paul a great Man of God having being ministered by Angels and having spoken
to the Lord Jesus Christ never took his salvation for granted. In today’s
message we see he uses the words ‘earnest expectation’ and ‘hope’. If Paul
had to always be alert about the way he lived his life so that he does not
fail then can we?

When one speaks to any person about working one’s salvation they
immediately jump and scream ‘salvation is by grace and not by works’.

The best analogy for salvation and works (of faith) is winning a lottery
say of 1 million dollars. One does not work for that 1 million dollars so
to win it, it is a favor. But can one win a lottery without a lottery? And
can one have a lottery without buying it? So the amount one works for is
that 1dollar or 10 dollars to buy the lottery but the amount one wins is 1
million. What we work is to hold that faith (that lottery) which gives us
access to the grace of God and which we need to hold on to until Judgment
day, the day when we receive our salvation (enter Heaven). A lottery may
have a chance of a 1 in a millions win but when it comes to salvation God
assures us as long as we hold on to the faith we will win.

In today’s message we see Paul also says either way we will glorify God, by
our victory or by our failure. So we have a choice either be a good
testimony or by our failure be an example to others what they should not
do. Either way we will testify Him and glorify Him.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are God and glory is yours. Lord we pray we understand either way
we will glorify You, like Moses or like Pharaoh. We pray Lord we do not
fail in our race of keeping the faith. We pray we do not fail to temptation
and be so weak that we do not get up and resume our race...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Hebrews 6:11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same
diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:

Romans 9:17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same
purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that
my name might be declared throughout all the earth.

Where does the love come from?

1 Timothy 1:5 [ESV] The aim of our charge is love that issues from a pure
heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.

Bible says God is love. We find many other religions have picked this term
up, but what they do in the name of love is not what the Bible says but
things which are carnal in nature. In India we had a Hindu so called godman
named Rajnish who prospective of love was primarily sex and substance
abuse, today we have another godman Shri Shri Ravi Shankar (Art of Living)
who believes in spiritism (invoking evil spirits) to achieve true love. The
same is the case with Sufism (Islamic) and Yogic cults (Hinduism).

If we look at today’s verse in various Bible translations we find great
variations in the words used. The word ‘love’ is replaced by ‘charity’,
‘clean heart’ is replaced by ‘pure heart’, ‘good conscience’ replaced by
‘knowledge of what is right’ and ‘sincere’ faith by ‘true’ or ‘unfeigned’

Some adjectives / words may seem similar but some may not. Going in reverse
order sincere, true and unfeigned speaks of genuine, real, honest etc… so
our faith needs to of that quality, the quantity may vary but quality is
very important. So what is important for genuine faith is not knowing many
scriptures but not doubting even if we know just one scripture (mustard
seed example).

The adjectives ‘clean’, ‘pure’ and ‘good’ with regards to conscience or
heart do not tally. Here only when one is specific to the term evil and
goodness then only the terms stand its ground. So to have a clean, pure or
good heart/ conscience one needs discernment and that comes with maturity.
The world on the contrary says an innocent young heart is a pure heart,
they do not take into consideration that man by default is corrupt (born
corrupt inheriting a corrupt nature). It is for this reason we find good
conscience is connected to a clean / pure heart. It is also for this reason
one translation says ‘knowledge of what is right’ since only a mature mind
/ heart / conscience knows what is right and wrong.

The last / first point is ‘love’ (Greek word ‘agape’) is translate also as
‘charity’. Preachers wrongly state Agape means ‘unconditional love’ or ‘God
kind love’; they do not realize any love that is conditional is not love,
so there is no other type of love, and that man only came to know true love
when Christ manifested this love. It is for this reason some translation
use the word more appropriate word ‘charity’ for charity does not expect
anything in return and charity is done with an intention to bless the other

Let us understand there is only one type of love / genuine love and to know
if that love is genuine one needs to see the source of that love, if it
comes from a heart that is mature and that is full of truth/ knows the
truth. It the source does not meet both the criteria then one cannot be
sure of that love as being perfect / genuine.

If we understand this we will understand it is only through the Spirit of
the Son we can understand love and God the Father cannot be separated from
love (the Hebrew for love is ‘ahab’ and father is ‘ab’ / ‘abba’).

[Prayer Starter]
Father God You are Love for in You is perfection, You alone are Holy and
You alone know the Truth. We pray Lord we increase our love as we grow in
spirit and know more of the truth. We pray Lord we discern worldly
affections and pleasures of the flesh or carnal minds. We pray we do not be
lost in these emotions or desires and lose true love...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
1 Timothy 1:5 [KJV - AV] Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a
pure heart, and [of] a good conscience, and [of] faith unfeigned:

1 Timothy 1:5 [BBE] But the effect of the order is love coming from a
clean heart, and a knowledge of what is right, and true faith:

Romans 12:10-13
10 In love of the brethren be tenderly affectioned one to another; in
honor preferring one another;
11 in diligence not slothful; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
12 rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing stedfastly in
13 communicating to the necessities of the saints; given to hospitality.

Romans 13:9-10
9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou
shalt not steal, Thou shalt not covet, and if there be any other
commandment, it is summed up in this word, namely, Thou shalt love thy
neighbor as thyself.
10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbor: love therefore is the fulfilment
of the law.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8
4 Love suffereth long, [and] is kind; love envieth not; love vaunteth not
itself, is not puffed up,
5 doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not its own, is not provoked,
taketh not account of evil;
6 rejoiceth not in unrighteousness, but rejoiceth with the truth;
7 beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth
all things.
8 Love never faileth: but whether [there be] prophecies, they shall be
done away; whether [there be] tongues, they shall cease; whether [there be]
knowledge, it shall be done away.

Fulfilment of Scriptures regarding 12

Acts 1:20 For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be
desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take..

In today’s scripture we find Peter quoting Psalms and states they need to
fulfil it by filling the position of Judas among the 12 by appointing
someone. If we read the rest of the NT there is nothing significant about
the count 12, Paul was added as 13th to this core team and there were 5 of
them (Peter, John, James, Paul and Barnabas) who overall administered the
global/universal Church; with Paul and Barnabas looking after the
‘Uncircumcised’ (Gentile) Christians and Peter, John and James looking
after the ‘Circumcised’ (Jewish) Christians.

Peter and the other Apostles did fulfil scripture by inducing Matthias in
the team by way of casting lots. What is interesting even after these
receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit they were all holed up in
Jerusalem (even when there was persecution happening on the disciples and
other fled) and it was only after Saul/Paul came in the scene that they
started moving out. The Apostles had not known why they induced the 12th
but did it.

By filling in the twelfth position they were doing what the Israelites did
when Joseph had dropped out from the twelve, they replaced his position
with his son. If we note it had nothing to do with the position but with
the count. Joshua insisted they be together when crossing the Jordan River
to enter the Promised Land.

The only book after the Gospels that speaks of 12 is the book of
Revelation. It is written about the 12 gates, pillars, stones, fruits etc.
in Heaven symbolizing the 12 Apostles / tribes of Israel, so did God remove
Paul or tribe of Levi?

Heaven as described in Revelations is founded on 12 types of stones and
these stones as same as the twelve which represented the twelve tribes of
Israel. If one studies gemology and Bible symbolism one will see the 12
gems symbolize the twelve Fruits of the Spirit. Church talks of only 9
which Paul mentions in Galatians 5:22-23 but ignores the 3 which he
mentions in Ephesians 5:9 which are Truth, Righteousness and Holiness (all
goodness – perfection). There is a purpose Paul did not mention them
together since the 3 are given as gifts. We receive the Fruit of Truth from
the Holy Spirit, Righteousness from the Son and Holiness from the Father,
the latter two is received on Judgment Day and when we enter Heaven.

Adam and Eve when they sinned (ate of the Tree of Doubt) lost the Fruits of
Truth and Righteousness (for disobeying), that why they felt nakedness and
like fools were trying to hid from the Lord. They became corrupt and thus
were removed from their access to Heaven and the Tree of Life. To gain this
access we need to gain back the Fruit of Truth and Righteousness.

The Hebrew word ‘Jordan’ means ‘inheritance’. To receive inheritance (cross
the Jordan River) we need to receive the Fruit of Truth (when the Truth is
complete in us) Christ will come again and we all (including those are
asleep in Him) will stand before Judgment Seat and those found worthy (did
the Will of the Father/Holy Spirit - carry the Cross / Ark of Covenant)
will receive the Fruit of Righteousness and will get to enter Heaven as a
body of the Son where all (created being of Heaven) will receive the Fruit
of Holiness when they become part of Father God (as the Son returns to the

Let us understand the core factor of our salvation is not just believing in
Christ and getting saved from Hell but is about being baptized in the Holy
Spirit and growing in the Fruits of the Spirit with the help of the Holy
Spirit (carrying the Cross teaches us the Fruits).

Christ died and paid the price of our sins mainly that we receive His
Spirit. Jesus left us so that His Spirit completes the work in us and makes
us worthy to enter Heaven. So let us be Christians and not fool ourselves
by acting as Christians.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and there is none other than You. A part of You humbled
Himself and became man so that He could pay the price and receive your
Spirit and by the help of your Spirit be restored back to You. We pray Lord
we understand the purpose You let the fall of the Angels as You let the
fall of man so that together we would be glorified in You to greater
things. We pray we understand it is all about the Fruits of the Spirit and
concentrate on building each other in them...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Hebrews 11:31 By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that
believed not, when she had received the spies with peace.

If one wants to divide Christians, the fastest way is take the topic of
works and anti-works (abundant grace) and that is the easiest way to
identify verbal Christians who talk a lot about God, preach about God
online or at prayer meetings (to other Christians) and max donate for
causes. These feel they fulfil being Christians by being good human beings.

Today’s message talks of Rahab a Canaanite woman of Jericho, who gave
shelter to the two spies sent in thither by Joshua; and in return was
spared, with all her kindred, when the city was taken and destroyed. This
woman from the OT is mentioned not once but twice in the NT as an example
of her faith both in Hebrew 11:31 and James 2:25, but in James 2:25 we see
James mentions her by her works which justified her faith.

We know we are saved by grace and the fact is this grace is received only
by those who have faith. That means if I have faith in Christ believing He
is Lord and savior and accepting Him as master (that means follow Him) then
I am saved. That also means those who do not believe in Christ and do not
follow Him are not saved. So faith is directly related to grace, if I have
faith I have grace and if I do not have faith I do not have grace. Then if
I stop believing in Christ as Lord or stop following Him can I still claim
to be under grace and due for salvation?

If we take the most famous scripture quoted by abundance grace believers
Romans 10:9 which says if we confess with our mouths Jesus is Lord and
believe in our hearts that He resurrected (broke the curse of Hell) then we
are saved. Now if we look at the verbs ‘confess’ and ‘believe’ they both
are in Greek Aorist tense and Active voice which means I have to always
remain in that state of confessing and believing. It does not mean I need
to keep saying Jesus is Lord but means I need to witness Him, that means
not once or twice but any time and every time I get an opportunity to
witness Him I should.

Let me be blunt all those who think by correspondence they will get to
enter Heaven need to wake up to the fact God sent His Son on earth to dwell
amongst us and to become a sacrifice for us. The Apostles and Disciples of
Christ did not lock themselves in a room and pray for people, they went
out, risked their lives and preached to people. If we are not practicing
Christians then we are fooling ourselves to be Christians.

Jesus said those who deny themselves and CARRY His cross will be saved,
carry is a verb so one needs to work. We surely are not saved by works but
also without works we are not saved. Let us know the difference between
works of righteousness and works of faith. Let us step out in faith and
stop being verbal Christians who preach to other Christians. Let us keep
our faith alive till the time we sleep in Him else we will not sleep in Him..

[Reference Scriptures]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord could destroy those who feel against
your plans at a snap of a finger. But their falling was known to You and so
also their destruction by mere man overcoming them by faith through the
knowledge of the truth. The Truth sets us free and to knowing the truth we
need to move in faith since the Holy Spirit reveals the truth only to those
who are led by Him...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Joshua 2:1-21 6:17-25

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and
shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou
shalt be saved.

James 2:25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when
she had received the messengers, and had sent [them] out another way?

Romans 3:27 Where [is] boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of
works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

Hebrews 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let
us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance
from dead works, and of faith toward God,

James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without
works is dead also.

O Theophilus be not a friend

Acts 1:1 The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus
began both to do and teach,

Christians call God their ‘friend’ mainly because of 2 reasons, one God
called Abraham His ‘friend’ and in John 15 Jesus calls us His ‘friend’.
Both these cases need to be introspected along with today’s message where
Luke uses the term Theophilus which is also translated as ‘friend of God’.

If we look at the source of the scripture regarding Abraham being called
‘Friend’ by the Lord, it is Isaiah 41:8 and also 2 Chronicles 20:7. If one
goes into the Hebrew word actually used in the text, the word is ‘ahab’
which means ‘love’. So God did not call Abraham His friend but His ‘love’ /
‘lover’ and it is this reason we who are the descendants of Abraham (by
faith) are called His Bride. This was not God the Father who spoke to
Abraham but was God the Son.

Coming to the NT, the Greek word translated as ‘friend’ is the word ‘Philo’
both in John 15 and Acts 1. This word has multiple meanings and one of them
is ‘associate’, other is ‘companion’. If we look at the context of the
chapter in John 15 Jesus is speaking of His Father’s business and something
we need to be part of thus He discloses it to us. Business is not a
‘friend’ matter. We all do business with people we know, we may do a
business deal with an unknown person but not a business venture with an
unknown but we will always want to know who the person is as we do business
with that person.

We are called to work in the Lord’s Kingdom not as servants but as
associates / His related companions for we reap a harvest which we have a
direct benefit of. So when we save a soul we are not doing fully a favor on
that person nor on God (God knows how to get it done without us) but adding
to our riches in Heaven.

Today the Lord is asking us to introspect our relationship with Him. He
wants us to do that so that we do not lose on our inheritance as Bride of
Christ and as Sons of God the Father. We do not waste the opportunity on
earth to gather riches for ourselves in Heaven which Paul described as
‘high crown’.

Also let us understand when we call another Believer a ‘brother’ or
‘sister’ in Christ we extending the Hand of God which is on us or on to
that person (even vice versa). When Paul said he handed over some persons
unto Satan, he did do a dealing with Satan for the soul but simply
disconnected his (spiritual) relationship with that person. So let us not
call each other friends but brethren.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and Father of all. You Lord created us and are
transforming us so that we can become a part of You so as to inherit the
things You have set for us in Heaven. Lord we pray we understand our
relationship with You and do not us worldly terms thus losing on the long

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
2 Chronicles 20:7 Didst not thou, O our God, drive out the inhabitants of
this land before thy people Israel, and give it to the seed of Abraham thy
friend for ever?

Isaiah 41:8 But thou, Israel, my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the
seed of Abraham my friend,

James 2:23 and the scripture was fulfilled which saith, And Abraham
believed God, and it was reckoned unto him for righteousness; and he was
called the friend [Philos] of God.

Luke 14:12 And he said to him also that had bidden him, When thou makest a
dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, nor thy
kinsmen, nor rich neighbors; lest haply they also bid thee again, and a
recompense be made thee.

John 15:1-6, 12-15
1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit, he taketh it away: and every
[branch] that beareth fruit, he cleanseth it, that it may bear more fruit.
3 Already ye are clean because of the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself,
except it abide in the vine; so neither can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him,
the same beareth much fruit: for apart from me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered;
and they gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
12 This is my commandment, that ye love one another, even as I have loved
13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for
his friends.
14 Ye are my friends, if ye do the things which I command you.
15 No longer do I call you servants; for the servant knoweth not what his
lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I heard from
my Father, I have made known unto you.

Death of the body is not death of the spirit

John 19:40 Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes
with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.

Let us ask the question, if the Israelites / Jews did actually follow the
instructions of the Lord then would Jesus have to come, would Jesus have to
die, would the death and resurrection of Jesus be so dramatic?

Biblically when a person dies we are to cover/roll the naked body in a
simple cloth and bury it, not dressed up, not in a coffin, nor in a tomb
putting any cross as a marker or any tombstone. What is more so is even the
burial process that is taking the body from the house to the grave is done
by those growing in spirit (youth) and not those mature in spirit (elders).

In today’s message we find according to the (general) Jews they were to
bury the body but according to the Galilean Jews they semi- mummified the
body and kept it in a cave (which was also considered as burial).

Our bodies were made of mud and to mud they return. But when God spoke to
Adam (man/mankind) after he sinned He did not speak of the body but about
the spirit that it would perish and not have eternal life. To have eternal
life we need to have access to the Tree / River of Life which is in Heaven
(upper levels of Heaven) and Adam’s access to the Tree of Life was removed.

‘Spirit’ in Hebrew means ‘breath’ and does not literally mean breath but
symbolizes life so spirit is that which lives within us and it is through
our spirit that our body lives and the moment it leaves the body our body
is nothing but bio material that decays and perishes. Only God has life in
Himself (eternal life), this ability/attribute He gave His Son only. Our
spirits which are created has a limited life and can live eternal only in
presence of God near to His glory Throne where the Tree of Life is. What is
alarming is our limited spirit life is very, very long (in thousands of
years) thus the adjective words used are translated as eternal. So if a
soul perishes in Hell, there too it will first have to suffer (its sins)
for more than a thousand years before it perishes.

Let us not love the body or things of the body but the spirit and things of
the spirit. So when we see each other let us see the beauty of that spirit.
Let us not make death a ritual but prepare for the moment when our life
leaves our bodies.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You god are Spirit, You are Life. All life are made by
You and can live eternally only in presence of your glory. The Spirit world
is the real world and this natural world is made temporarily so as to allow
cleansing the sinful spirits of man. Lord we pray we do not get trapped
with the desires of this world but keep our eyes focused on the spirit
world with help of your Spirit...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Sin, Curse and Sickness

John 9:26 Then said they to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he
thine eyes?

The Lord has always been graceful to expound all scriptures I have been
putting up to Him since the years. Sometimes He did take a long time but He
ultimately did reveal them to me.

As of now there is one scripture (incident) I have been unable to
understand and have been put it to Him since some a long time and awaiting
answer, it is the incident concerning the man born blind whom Jesus heals
and when inquired by His disciples Jesus says he was not blind due to his
own sin nor of his parents but only to glorify God. If we look at verse 3
we read Jesus saying the man is without sin and so also his parents such a
statement goes totally contradictory if taken literally and we read a few
days back Paul say all scriptures are literal (spiritually).

What this scripture(s) seems to contradict is the fact sickness appeared
due to sin. The grandson of Adam (meaning full of life) was named Enos -
mortal (lacking life - Genesis 4:26) because of manifestation of sickness
and Bible says it was them man started worshipping God.

In Exodus 34:6,7 we see the Lord Himself says He visits the sins of the
father unto the son [children], grandson, and great grandson (four
generations). Later in Ezekiel 18:20 the Lord clarifies it is not the sin
but the sin nature, each one pays for their own sin.

Bible states generations are brought forth as souls which are given as seed
in the man and becomes into a human being in the womb of the mother. Sin
corrupts man and from a corrupt seed we only get corrupt produce, this is
the cause of hereditary sicknesses. Jesus was born a man without a human
father and in a virgin womb (surrogate birth) for this reason so that as
human He was born without blemish (corruption). Jesus was lifted up and
crucified by His limbs to be our Peace Sacrifice so as to break our curses
(Galatians 3:13).

The last time I pounded on a scripture like this was about Jesus saying to
the robber crucified next to Him that ‘today you will be with me in
Paradise’. This too contradicted other scriptures like Jesus telling Mary
Magdalene on the third day (after His resurrection) not to touch Him for He
has not yet ascended to the Father (finish all sacrifices by sprinkling in
the Holy of Holies). Later after nearly 6 months the Lord revealed it as a
mistranslation and the word was not ‘TODAY” but ‘THAT DAY’ (concerning the
discussion of Judgment Day when Christ will come in glory).

Same was the case of the incident of the stoning of the adulterous woman
whom Jesus saves. Later it was revealed that these verses (whole incident)
were not part of original scriptures but added much later by the Catholic

In Bible study the following areas are key for right interpretation of
1) Textual criticism (establishing the original or most authoritative text)
2) Philological criticism (study of the biblical languages for an accurate
knowledge of vocabulary, grammar, and style of the period)
3) Literary criticism (focuses on the various literary genres embedded in
the text in order to uncover evidence concerning date of composition,
authorship, and original function of the various types of writings)
4) Tradition criticism (to trace the development of the oral traditions
that preceded written texts)
5) Form criticism (classifies the written material according to the
preliterary forms)

Let us always question not only the doctrines but also scriptures if we
feel it not agreeing with out spirit. Let us ask God to reveal them to us
for He Himself says ‘test and see the Lord, He is good /perfect’.

Let us learn to waiting on the Lord for revelation of His Word.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Holy God. You are perfect and everything about You like your
Word is perfect. Lord we pray we seek revelation of your Word as per your
heart and not according to man. Your Word edifies and builds us...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Word of God is Good

1 Timothy 6:3-6
3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, [even]
the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according
to godliness;
4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of
words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth,
supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.

We see people always complain about complicating the Bible by going deep
into Greek, Hebrew words and into historical data. They say please keep the
Word of God simple, for God made it for simple people.

Firstly these people have not read the whole Bible for they missed
scriptures which speak of people not able to understand scriptures so are
taught in parables and in OT God is asked how He will teach knowledge and
understanding of His Word. These people do not realize no translation till
date can boast of being perfect because language limitations does not
allow. The moment I hear a Preacher state they know the Bible / Greek and
yet says the words ‘Agape love’ then I immediately know the bluff.

In today’s message Paul gives us 3 benchmarks to test a doctrine.
1) Wholesome word – logical / sensible
2) What Jesus spoke
3) Doctrine that lead to holiness (godliness – better relationship with God)

Biblical mysteries are not mystical, but have logical and sensible
understanding. Every scripture if expounded correctly has perfect meaning.
It does not have multiple understanding but only one understanding. It may
have multiple application but it will have only one understanding (which is
3 dimensional). The Greek term for heresy does not mean wrong doctrine but
means choosing from multiple options. There is only one right, thus making
all others wrong.

In OT Truth is symbolized by the pomegranate fruit and when we open one and
analyze its construction we will understand design of the Word of God. The
fruit holds many little blood red jewels (arils) each having a seed within
that can bring forth life to many. Every ‘jewel’ is unique in shape and
cannot be moved and placed elsewhere within the fruit, they all
interconnect airtight as one. Devil too knows the symbolism of the
pomegranate and thus amongst Catholics in Greece they have a chapel devoted
to the Madonna del Granato meaning "Our Lady of the Pomegranate".

Bible says although the Word was given through Prophets before Jesus yet
grace and truth came only through Jesus Christ. That means although the
Prophets before spoke the Word of God yet they did not have the proper
complete understanding of it. So our doctrine should in no way contradict
that what Jesus said. Lord Jesus Christ gave us His Spirit the Spirit of
Truth (Holy Spirit) who reveals the right understanding of the scripture
that is why by studying the Word of God one does not truly understand it
and requires the Holy Spirit to reveal it and when He reveals it, the
scripture makes perfect sense.

The Word of God is called ‘Instructions to this Life’ by Angels so was
given to save and build our life. They bring transformation and spiritually
edify the person causing one to receive the countless blessings God has
given. Above all they cause man to receive his Heavenly inheritance. So
every doctrine that does not edify fails the test. Sound doctrine is
compared to true worship. Like worship brings one closer to God so does
sound doctrine. Although sound doctrine is compared to worship yet without
sound doctrine one cannot truly worship.

Let us test every doctrine and not gulp anything given by anyone even if it
is given in Church or by someone who calls himself a Man of God and holds a
Bible in his hand.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Awesome God. You Lord are perfect and there is none perfect
like You. It is for this reason You alone are called Holy. Lord we pray we
who are called to be perfect may become so by your Word which is given to
build us, correct us and help us inherit that which You have set for us...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Did Jesus know everything?

John 13:21 When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, and
testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall
betray me.

We see many places Jesus had foreknowledge of things like in today’s
message he speaks of one of His twelve disciples betraying Him. John 6
verse 70-71 is the earliest scripture which shows Jesus had the
foreknowledge of one of His disciples betraying Him. The writer John puts a
note saying He was referring to Judas Iscariot as being the betrayer. Did
Jesus Himself know that it would be Judas who would betray? That is
something that needs to be investigated in depth.

We also see when Jesus was asked about Judgment Day when the end will come,
although He being the one who would come on that day to Judge yet He says
no man or Angel knows that day but only God (Matthew 24:36).

Jesus Christ is God who humbled Himself and became man. In John 17 He says
He gave up His glory before creation and awaits the day when He will return
to the Father and be restored His glory. The word ‘glory’ does not truly
mean fame / splendor as understood in Greek. In Hebrew the word comes from
the root word meaning ‘to be heavy’ / ‘to be full’. So as God, He emptied
Himself (foundation of creation) and then became man. Philippians 2:5-11
addresses to this emptying.

Jesus as human studied scriptures and grew in Spirit receiving wisdom,
understanding and Fruits of the Spirit like any other human. The only
differences between Him and us are that in spirit He was not created while
we are, He was born human without blemish (inherited sinful nature since he
was born without human father/mother (Hebrews 7) - Mary was His surrogate
mother thus was born of her even though she was a virgin and sinner) also
no sin was found in Him even until He died on the Cross. Since He kept
Himself perfect in the eyes of the Father thus scripture says God the
Father found it worthy to dwell in Him wholly (we receive part of the 7
Spirits of the Holy Spirit).

Jesus’ knowledge of one of the twelve betraying Him was based on OT
scriptures understanding of the twelve tribes (twelve sons of Jacob) and
scriptures in Psalms. Although He came to save the world yet His personal
ministry was only about the twelve that is why when He gave an account to
the Father He spoke of not losing any one of the twelve leaving for the one
which it was already written about. This He said although He preached to
thousands and only 120 did abided in Him (they were the ones gathered in
the upper room) and another 3000 who were double minded thus stood outside
where the 120 gathered but later accepted Him.

Today’s message says the man Jesus grieved in spirit like any other man in
anguish would. It is only in understanding of the wholeness of the Lord
Jesus Christ – one who is God, God the Son, Son of God, Christ and man
Jesus that we understand the oneness of the Father, the Son and His Spirit.
Our hope in our salvation is also based on the fact He overcome and we have
received His Spirit (Holy Spirit) the one behind His success.

Today the Lord also asking us do we grieve in spirit like Jesus if we lose
someone who was given unto us and backslides? Can we account for those
given to us even though we may preach to the whole world?

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God and You alone are God. We thank You Father for
your love that a part of You humbled Himself and became man to make the way
when there was no way and to show us how to walk in that way by the help of
the Holy Spirit. Father we pray You reveal the invisible Christ so that
more may know Him perfectly...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

That thou doest, do quickly.

John 6:70-71
70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a
71 He spake of Judas Iscariot [the son] of Simon: for he it was that
should betray him, being one of the twelve.

Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no [man], no, not the
angels of heaven, but my Father only.

Philippians 2:5-11

7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a
servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became
obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which
is above every name:

the glory of God the Father.

glory which I had with thee before the world was.

again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

Approval of man

John 7:47,48 Then answered them the Pharisees, Are ye also deceived? Have
any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed on him?

One of the first questions today asked to any person ministering is ‘who
was your mentor?’ If that person gives name of a famous person then there
is no questions asked about his own understanding (doctrine) and he or she
is given open doors.

Jesus said there is only one teacher and that is the Lord (Holy Spirit).
When we use the term ‘Christ’ it refers to both the man Jesus and His
Spirit the Holy Spirit. Jesus as man Himself stepped aside and let His
Spirit take up the role of teaching and leading His disciples. What He
taught them was understood only when the Holy Spirit took over His
disciples. So the Holy Spirit is key to discipleship and building a person
spiritually (spiritual maturity).

In the Catholic Church we see the Holy Spirit has been replaced by a spirit
which comes in the name of ‘Mary the Mother of Jesus’. She is the person
they seek guidance and help from, thus one finds all the attributes or
reverence due to the Holy Spirit is given to this spirit. It si for this
reason they lack understanding of scriptures and Kingdom of God.

In the Believer Church the scene is not different, a large part of the
Church have placed the Holy Spirit with man as their ‘guide’, ‘helper’ and
‘teacher’. It is man leading man and not the Holy Spirit leading man and
this is the prime reason why we are in this very, very slow growth rate. Go
to a Bible book shop and there are very few books which help true Bible
study but hundreds and thousands of books of what people have to say about
the Bible. They may be helpful for starters but become nursery rhymes for
those who seek deep Bible study.

The Proverb 27:17 about Iron sharpening iron is not a statement of fact but
a contradictory statement. One who sharpens objects knows if they are of
the same material and hardness then they only create sparks and noise but
do no sharpening. A man can guide another only as much as one’s capacity
but cannot make the person better than one’s self. Also of the 100 things a
man is taught, man usually learns a percentage of it and rarely get all
100. So when man teaches man it is only downhill and not uphill.

In a Church the Pastor had people who grew up and did much better than him.
It happened only when he was sent to another place that these people grew
spiritually. People referred to him as mentor but did not realize after a
period the mentor became the obstacle of growth so had to be move out of
the way. When I heard him preach it was confirmed to me why he was moved
out. The good things is he obeyed to the Lord asking him to go out and did
not hold on to his position.

We may start our spiritual growth with the help of another human mentor or
we who mentor others need to realize we ultimately need to get people to be
led by the Holy Spirit and none other. It is only the Holy Spirit who can
mature us truly. The basics that we as man who have learnt from Him can
share with others but more than what we know has to come from the Holy
Spirit. It others do not grow beyond us then how will one day the
(complete) truth be known to mankind and mankind be set free.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You alone are God and You alone know all and have Wisdom which is
beyond measure. Lord we pray we seek not approval of man but your approval.
We pray we learn to fellowship with You and learn from You. Help us to
guide others unto You the ultimate Shepherd and not be their shepherds for

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen

righteousness, and of judgment:

From Children to Heirs

Romans 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs
with Christ; if so be that we suffer with [him], that we may be also
glorified together.

In the OT we see there were many rules set for inheritance like it was only
for sons and not daughters, after a certain age and according to (12)
tribe. These rules were not to discriminate between gender, age or race /
families / tribes but were symbolic to spiritual things that are enforce to
our inheritance in the true Promised Land which is Heaven.

Today’s message addresses to one of the factors that will decide if we do
enter Heaven or not. Today’s message talks of spiritual maturity. Heaven is
our inheritance and to inherit one of the condition is to mature in Spirit.
Bible says those who are led by the Spirit of God becomes Sons of God. The
term Sons of God in Greek used for mankind in Romans 8:14 is not the same
as used in other places, we find most places children of God translated as
Sons of God like in John 1:12. The scripture talks of us receiving the
Spirit of Adoption (Spirit of the Son) and it is only in the transformation
(overcoming of the flesh) by the Spirit that we too become Sons.

Sons and daughters is nothing to do with the natural gender but to do with
the spiritual image in which God created man and woman. So naturally we may
be male but yet be spiritual daughter and vice versa. Also it is not about
each and every one being totally transformed into Sons of God. For
plurality we need more than one and that is what is why God requires only
two. Bible tells us two amongst us (two witnesses) will succeed, the whole
of creation awaits this event and this triggers Rapture (when the Lord
calls them up after they are slain).

It was two (Adam and Eve) who caused the fall of all mankind (man was
exiled from Heaven) and it is two that God requires to restore mankind’s
access to Heaven. That does not mean all will enter Heaven but means those
who in the process of becoming Sons of God. The two witnesses may be the
pinnacle of the pyramid which causes the whole pyramid to receive

Today the Lord is asking us are we in the race of Sonship. Are we daily
battling the flesh and overcoming it. It does not matter how we started but
matters when we sleep were we still in battle. We also need to push others
up the pyramid by disciplining them so our inheritance day comes quickly.

Do not be like the hare that lost the race (in the story of hare and
tortoise). Let us be consistent and persistent, pursuing our inheritance by
dying daily, crucifying our carnal old man.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord desire us to be transformed in Spirit
so that we can receive that which You have set for us in Heaven. Bible says
no (worldly) eyes have seen and (worldly) mind can imagine the things You
have planned for us. These things You reveal to those who love You and your
Word (Commandments). We pray we daily be in this battle of overcoming so
that we receive our inheritance...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Mortal sin immortal impact

Romans 6:12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should
obey it in the lusts thereof.

These past few days we were told about the importance of good deeds, how
they are Integral to our salvation; yet understanding good deeds and its
impact on the Fruits of the Spirit is not easy to understand.

Like good deeds and its consequence is not easy to understand similarly sin
and its consequence too is not easy to understand. Sin and sin nature are
two different things like works of righteousness and works of faith are,
even though they may look alike yet its background and purpose is necessary
to account.

We need to get one fact down into us. Bible says the sinner will not enter
the Kingdom of God but does not say that those who sin will not be able to
enter the Kingdom of God. This statement may sound alarming or

We know the mercy and grace of God is there that saves us when we have
faith. But there also is the truth that we need to keep the faith and we
cannot take the Lord’s mercy and grace for granted. So if we sin God
forgives when we approach Him but like today’s message says if we let sin
to resign in us then we put on the nature of sin and that will not allow us
to receive forgiveness nor enter the Kingdom of God.

A person who has lied and a lair is not the same. A person who lied can be
forgiven but a liar need to be transformed for that person has the nature
to keep lying and forgiving such a person would be like pouring water on a
duck’s back.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 and Colossians 3:5-15, along with today’s message
clearly warns us of the danger of remaining in sin and letting it reign in
us. We may be weak and may stumble but we are called to not remain weak and
not remain down if we stumble. We are called to fight that nature and to
overcome that nature which causes us to falter. Bible says ‘put on the Lord
Jesus Christ’ and that means to imitate Him and let His nature rub into us.
How can we ‘put on’ the Lord Jesus Christ if we do not do good deeds like
He did?

So for every Christian good deeds is essential but also essential is the
reason of doing the good deeds. They should not be done to justify one’s
self, for that would make them deeds of (worldly) righteousness. They
should be done as being disciple of Christ, people who follow Christ, a
nature imbedded into us, a nature we receive from the Heavenly Father.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are a Holy God. The Upper Heavens are a Holy place and nothing
unholy can dwell and still live there. Lord we pray we understand the
importance of transformation in spirit. We pray we do not transform into
evil but transform into the image of the invisible Christ...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11
9 Or know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of

10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor
extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
11 And such were some of you: but ye were washed, but ye were sanctified,
but ye were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the

Colossians 3:5-15

called in one body; and be ye thankful.

Matthew 6:1 Take heed that ye do not your righteousness before men, to be
seen of them: else ye have no reward with your Father who is in heaven.

John 5:19 Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Verily, verily, I
say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the
Father doing: for what things soever he doeth, these the Son also doeth in
like manner.

for the flesh, to [fulfil] the lusts [thereof].

Moses sought the invisible Christ

Hebrew 11:27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king:
for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

Many years back my WORD STUDY of the Word of God started with trying to
figure out when the word ‘Lord’ was mentioned, who exactly did it refer to?
Was it the Father, Son or the Holy Spirit?

At that time I had no knowledge of Hebrew or Greek languages and never
dreamt one day I would be able to learn them; it was then I just came to
know about Strong numbers wherein each and every Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek
word (with their renderings) are numbered. It was only by the grace of God
that He started revealing me things I would not even imagine. I was happy
He did not allow me to join regular Bible College for what I learnt from
Him would never have been acceptable to me.

The book of Hebrews almost totally addresses to the divinity of Christ and
today’s message talks of Moses and before that Noah and their relationship
with Christ.

As one learns the Hebrew language its alphabets are ideograms which
represent objects so when we take the name Yahweh written in scriptures as
YHWH is not a name but an ideographic description of who it was that spoke
to the Men of God in the OT. The word recodes as ‘Behold the Hand Behold
the Nail’ which directly speaks of Christ.

As I went into every word referring to God (including Baal/Baali which
means unknown God/god – sometimes also used for our God) I found that
scriptures in OT mostly spoke of the Son and the Holy Spirit as Lord, there
were very few scriptures that actually mentioned the Father directly. It
was only when the Godhead (divine oneness relationship between the Father,
Son and Holy Spirit) was slowly revealed that things became very clear to

So today when I read scriptures where Jesus did not allow people to worship
Him yet said if they did not lift Him up then there would be no salvation
for them, such scriptures are no contradiction and are very clear to me.
Also things like humbling of the God the Son from the foundation of
creation (even before man was created) hit me more than knowing His
sacrifice on the Cross (of which I know more details than most do). His
love was manifested to man on the Cross but the true extend of His love is
hidden from almost all mankind. It is only in the understanding of the
humbling of God to God the Son to the invisible Christ to the visible
Christ Jesus and knowing the plans God has for us mere man that we really
understand the love that God has for mankind. Let us not confuse study of
this with the heretic teachings of those who promote ‘Jesus Only’ nor on
the other hand fall into the trap of the Catholic Church doctrine which
says ‘Jesus is Lord’ but made Him a mere man god and a woman His mother in

Today in the morning as I got up I saw some photos of the man Jesus (as
illustrated by Catholic Church) and thought to myself would I one day have
the courage to throw them away knowing they are not of the Christ we
worship, we seek.

Today the Lord is asking us whom do we seek the visible Christ (including
one which the world has created) or the invisible Christ? He is asking can
we be like Josiah (2 Kings 23:1-25, 2 Chronicles 34:1-7) who pleased God.
Bible says God seeks those who worship Him in Spirit and Truth.

Let us from today have a relationship with the invisible Christ like Noah,
Abraham, Moses, David, Daniel and other in OT including Paul and other in
the NT did (Paul did not see the man Jesus even when He appeared to him).

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God and You alone are God for there is none other
than You. You are one and You are Spirit. Lord we pray more and more come
to know You and thus know the love You have for us. Lord we pray You give
us courage like Josiah the King that we bring down the deception and
spiritual adultery that is happening in your name...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Psalms 50:1 The Mighty One, God, Jehovah, hath spoken, And called the earth
from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.

Malachi 2:10 Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why
do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, profaning the
covenant of our fathers?

things, and we unto him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all
things, and we through him.

Ephesians 4:6 one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all,

things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or
principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and
unto him;
17 and he is before all things, and in him all things consist.
18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the
firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
19 For it was the good pleasure [of the Father] that in him should all the
fulness dwell;
20 and through him to reconcile all things unto himself, having made peace
through the blood of his cross; through him, [I say], whether things upon
the earth, or things in the heavens.

Saul, why persecutest thou me?
5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And he [said], I am Jesus whom thou

Washing the feet – not act of humility but of righteousness

John 13:5 After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the
disciples’ feet, and to wipe [them] with the towel wherewith he was girded.

People mistake the act of Jesus washing of feet of His disciples as an act
of humility. They can only understand it if they put themselves in the era
of this happening and know the traditions/beliefs of the Jews.

For Jews washing is a very important tradition and belief. They follow
something like what Hindus believe today, they believed washing can wash
the sins of a person.

In the Bible the scriptures concerning washing of sins does not use the
regular Greek word used for washing but uses the word that refers to
washing / cleaning of a wound. Like in Baptism taking the dip does not
transform the person but starts the process of transformation so also
washing is an act of start of repentance. God had commanded in the OT that
any person who entered the Holy Place (symbolizing Heaven) without washing
their hands and feet would die; it had nothing to do with cleanliness but
with repentance. Without repentance no one can enter Heaven. In this
washing, the hands washing symbolize repentance of sin the person does
knowingly (deeds) and washing of feet symbolize repentance of sins one does
unknowingly (walk of life). The breaking of unleavened bread was one of the
sacrifices of Moses which was called the Sacrifice of Guilt (it included a
ram and Jesus was the ram which was slain for our sins).

Jesus gave His disciples authority to forgive sins when He said what we
bind on earth will be bound in Heaven and whatever we release on earth will
be released in Heaven. He confirms this when He said Son of Man has
authority to forgive sins (referring not only to Himself). So when any
person comes with repentance a Man or Woman of God standing in authority of
God can forgive the sins of that person.

Jesus could only wash their feet and not their hands for one has to wash
one’s owns hands by acknowledging the sins which are known to that person.
It is for this reason Paul says those who come in an unworthy manner to the
table of the Lord would suffer sickness and even death for mocking the
sacrifice. How can a person ask for forgiveness of sins which one has done
unknowingly when one has not repented for sins one knows. Repentance and
asking God for forgiveness is not about simply saying sorry but requires
the person to do good to that person sinned against. A heart full of hatred
or envy can never receive forgiveness by simply saying ‘sorry’ and not
getting rid of the hate or envy.

Jesus’ washing the feet was an act of righteousness which we all who
believe in Him and follow Him are called to do. We need not do the natural
act of washing the feet (the Apostles also did not) but we are called to
pray over people or break unleavened bread with them for the forgiveness of
their sins. It is this sacrifice which is called also the ‘Daily Sacrifice’
indicating the frequency at which it needs to be done.

Yesterday at service the Preacher asked ‘how many times does God forgive
The answer lies in the prayer Our Father, where it says the Lord ‘gives us
our daily bread and forgives our transgresses’. Forgiveness needs to be
sought daily like we do for food.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Awesome God. You Father are Merciful. You Lord forgive those
who approach your Throne of Grace, repentance is an act that cause us to
approach your Throne of Grace. We pray Lord we learn to repent daily for
the sins we committed and receive forgiveness from You...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
