Open the Eyes

Acts 26:18To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light,
and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness
of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that
is in me.

One of the most marvelous things of God's creation is the eye. In humans
also we see in the whole body, the eyes stand as the most complex and
mesmerizing part of the body. The first thing that attracts a person
(only when a person is up close) is the beauty of the eyes. Since ages
poets have written numerous poems on the eyes. Bible also gives great
importance to our eyes and considers them not only as windows to our
soul but that which reflect our souls.

In one of our previous message we learned those who are spiritually lame
[those who do not do, or are lethargic to do God's work] would not be
allowed to enter the Kingdom of God [Heaven]. Along with the lame are
those who are blind, those whose eyes are not opened [who do not know
the Truth / even though they may know Jesus but they do not know the
purpose of Jesus] they too will not enter the Kingdom of God.

One needs to understand that eye is both and organic/biochemical as well
mechanic organ. One cannot have no movement of the eye for a long time
and continue to see. If the eyelids do not moist the eye regularly the
eye dries up and the person loses sight.

We know eye symbolizes truth but most people think by studying
scriptures and things related to the word of God one can know the truth,
they are mistaken. When Jesus said 'you shall know the truth and the
truth shall set you free', before that He said 'if you continue in my
word then you are my disciples' and then He said 'and you shall know the
truth and the truth shall set you free '.

The Bible is a book which is theory cum practicals. If one just does
theory or just does practicals one will not understand or know the
Kingdom of God. We need to do both, what we read we need to apply, and
what we do, we need to discern with the Word. If only we do both will we
know the Word, know the truth and enter the Kingdom of God.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are a Living God. Although You are a Holy God yet You Lord have
not left your people helpless. You sent a part of You your beloved Son
to us to help us. We pray Lord we understand although You gave your

Luke 24:15-16, 31-32

Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.

31And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of
their sight.

he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

John 12:40He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that

his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of
grace and truth.

Are we called to submission to man?

1 Peter 5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea,
all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for
God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

The one weapon that is used in most unbeliever churches (like Catholic
or Orthodox Churches) and even many Believer Churches is the term
'submit'. Submit to elders, submit to leaders, submit to Priest /
Pastors, wives submit to husband, children submit to parents etc. even
when they lead one away from God, restrict or deprive a person from
doing God's work.

As a Catholic when the Lord started speaking to me this weapon of the
enemy was the greatest challenge I faced. People told me not to follow
the Bible but follow what man said or the traditions of man; this came
not only from elders but even Priests who said they represented the Lord.

Even after becoming a Believer I faced Pastors who spoke about being
involved in Church activity, feeding the fed more than evangelizing to
the lost and feeding the hungry. I had so many who discouraged me from
seeking the true understanding of the Word; they wanted me to be
satisfied with the error filled, stagnant understanding that have been
going on from years and years. These people make God to be a man and one
who has gone to sleep, the only things He does is heal and perform miracles.

If we look at today's scripture the Greek word translated as submit is
hupotasso, this is a compound word made of hupo which means 'by' and
'tasso' which means 'ordain' or 'put in order'. If they it were to be
translated in English it would together mean 'coordinate' if taken
separately it would mean 'by appointment', now being spiritual reference
it would mean by appointment of the Lord.

If we look at scriptures very young persons were leading those who were
elder, so age was not the factor for one to submit. We also see
relationship was not the factor for we find even Jesus rebuking His own
family persons or disciples who tried to discourage or stop Him from
doing His Father's work. Spiritual superiority is not based on first
come but on growth since Paul fought with Barnabas who was instrument in
molding his spiritual life in the initial stage, it did not agree with
Paul to compromise duty for family relationships [I have shared on this
before about Barnabas and Mark]. We also see Paul called Timothy his
spiritual son but later his spiritual associate.

We find in scriptures even though we are called to respect our elders
yet the only authority that finally stood was the one by God's
appointment. Calling and spiritual maturity are the principle factors
for submission. Prophet submitted to Apostle, Teacher submitted to
Prophet, Evangelist to Teacher, Administrator /Bishop to Evangelist
etc... Though the master serves the servant yet the servant submits to
the master, though the greater Calling served the lesser yet the lesser
Calling submitted to the greater.

Let us get this into our heads the Lord is above all and anyone trying
in any way to take us away from the Lord or restrict us from doing His
mission we should not submit. Before we make any decision we need to
give thought if they are guiding us or misguiding us (this we will know
by their fruits). We should not directly rebel but always do in a gentle
way without compromising our relationship with the Lord.

For example when Jesus was yet a child He desired to start doing the
Father's work but on insistence of His parents He returned home with His
parents. People mistakenly think He waited to become 30 to start His
ministry, they do not read when He went to the wedding of Canna He did
so with His disciples. If He had not been doing ministry then how could
He have disciples? At the age of 30 He left His family life and
dedicated Himself totally to the Father's work. Before 30 He did not
need to work and provide His family since at His birth the gifts they
had received was sufficient for their lifetime. The Twelve He chose
later were those whom He nurtured for a mission. He waited till 30 to
fulfill scriptures.

Let us always equate the Kingdom of God to an army where rank matters
over age and personal relationship; but above all mission matters more.

Let us do all things with love and a gentle spirit but in case the
obstacle is strong let us not hesitate to take bold steps. Let us
remember Jesus also said if anyone leaves his father, mother, brother or
sister for His sake will receive a multitude in the Kingdom of God.

Lord You are Mighty God. There is nothing that is impossible for You yet

The grave mistake of Men of God

Acts 21:28 Crying out, Men of Israel, help: This is the man, that
teacheth all men every where against the people, and the law, and this
place: and further brought Greeks also into the temple, and hath
polluted this holy place.

In the Bible we see Men of God had disastrous consequences due to
emotional reasons. Right from the first man Adam who dwelled in the
presence of God and had access to Paradise, to a person like Paul who
was very knowledgeable yet made a grave mistake and paid a very heavy
price all because they allowed worldly emotions to misguide them.

Adam was spiritually strong thus Satan did not dare to directly tempt
him, Satan knew Adam loved Eve and Satan also knew Eve was not very
strong, so Satan chose to attack Adam through Eve. Adam let his love for
Eve give way to his discernment and thus fell.

We have Abraham who suffered 25 years due to family bonds. He was told
by God to only take his wife and go to the promised land and Abraham was
promised a son. But Abraham took Lots his nephew along and only after he
separated did he receive the promised son.

Jacob for the sake of romance paid a very heavy price to win the hand of
Rachael and so did David for Bathsheba who was already married. David's
son Solomon loved beauty so much that he married about 700 beautiful
women and over that he had about 300 concubines [mistresses]. Joseph the
son of Jacob gave up his inheritance with Israel for the sake of his
career and worldly power in Egypt and did not return with his brethren.
Similarly Samson too broke all the 5 vows as a Nazarene for various
reasons, the last being getting his hair cut for the love of a woman and
he paid for this with his life.

We see in today's message Paul who always spoke against traditions and
against keeping the law in the flesh was himself misled to do it by the
convincing of those close to him. Paul joined a few Greeks following
Judaism who wanted to accept Christ but after fulfilling the Jewish
ritual of cutting their hair at the doorstep of synagogue as a sign of
breaking a vow.

We can go into the lives of all the Men of God, the test of worldly
emotions they faced that lead them off the track. The Bible honestly
records their good work and also their failures.

As Men or Women of God let us not think we can always take the grace and
favor of God for granted. As we grow in spirit and in understanding of
the Word of God, God accepts spiritual maturity and discernment from us.
We should not let worldly emotions be it from our spouse, children, kin
or those close to us, we should not let worldly relations like
friendship or romance or worldly values misled us to compromise our
spiritual lives or principles of the Kingdom of God.

Let our No be No and our Yes be Yes the moment we stand in between we
stand in a danger zone of spiritual comprise. Surely even after we fall
God will save us but we will land with a testimony for the world to
learn from our mistake.

Let us be like Jesus who did not allow personal relationships like that
of His mother and His brethren to interfere spiritual life. He did not
let their lack of understanding to mislead Him. He also did not allow
the goals of His ministry to go astray due to family relationship or
references like personal request by His aunty Salome [sister of Mary]
and wife of Cleophas named Zebedee and the mother of John and James to
give them the most important place in the ministry. They did get
important place but did not lead, it was Simon Peter who led the Jewish
Christians and later Paul led the gentile Christians. Jesus did not heed
to worldly emotions and overcame them immediately like in the case of
loss of John the Baptist who was dear to Him.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Almighty and Righteous God. Your Word says your Yes is Yes
and your No is No and that is what You Lord expect of us. Your Word also
says light has nothing to do with darkness and is separated from
darkness; it overcomes darkness but does not dwell with it. Lord we pray
we do not let worldly values or emotions to overcome us and lead us to
misjudge or compromise our spiritual values...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

not yet come.

Matthew 14:10-14

His Flesh was the Veil

Hebrews 10:19,20Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the
holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath
consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

In our previous message we understood when the Bible mostly spoke of the
blood of Jesus it spoke of /symbolized His sacrifice / His death and not
the fluid of the body. Today's scripture speaks of the boldness we have
to enter the Holy place [Kingdom of God] because Jesus paid the price
for us / our sins. What is interesting is the scripture also compares
the veil to His flesh. It speaks of us being concentrated or made holy
by the veil which is His flesh.

Like the blood here too the flesh is not literal. Again to remind you
Jesus preached in Hebrew and Aramaic and not in Greek. Hebrew He spoke
with the Jews, things concerning the Temple or the Kingdom of God, and
Aramaic He spoke with the common people / market place. So to understand
things concern the Temple or Kingdom of God one needs to study it via
the Hebrew language.

In Hebrew the word for flesh 'basar' and it also means 'good news' /
'message'. So many times when Jesus took bread and said basar it meant
'Good News'. When Jesus told unless you eat my basar you will have
nothing to do with me the Jews thought flesh since He said 'eat' and
said 'basar' but Jesus meant eat the Good News / make it part of you.

Today's message says we are concentrated through the tearing of the veil
which is the flesh [basar] of Jesus Christ. It is only when the Word was
broken [revealed by God] did man understand the Word and it is only when
the Message is broken are we concentrated by it.

In OT they ate bread made from Manna [in Hebrew meaning 'what is it']
and yet they died. They had the Word which came from Heaven but since
they did not understand it they were not saved by it. They tried to
follow it [follow the letter] without understanding thus followed
rituals and manmade traditions. Today by the grace and truth that comes
through Jesus Christ we are given the ability [through His Spirit] to
understand the Word that is why the bread is Living Bread. We follow the
Word in Spirit and Truth.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Holy God and nothing unholy can dwell before You. You Lord
gave up your beloved Son as a sacrifice for our sins, He also made peace
between us and You by His sacrifice so that we receive your Spirit. It
is your Spirit the Spirit of Truth who reveals the true understanding of
the Word unto us. We thank You Lord for unlike the Jews we eat the
Living Word and not Manna...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

John 6:51-59

51I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of
this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my
flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

52The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man
give us his flesh to eat?

53Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye
eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in

54Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I
will raise him up at the last day.

55For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.

56He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I
in him.

57As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he
that eateth me, even he shall live by me.

58This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers
did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for

59These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.

Matthew 27:51And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from
the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

Mark 14:22And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake
it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.

Luke 24:15-31

Hebrews 7:28For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity;
but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who
is consecrated for evermore.

Balancing the Accounts

Philippians 4:15Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of
the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with
me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.

In India March 31 is considered a day of financial end so all accounts
need to be balanced and taxes need to be paid. In today’s message Paul
talks of the Church of Philippi about their desire to do the accounts
which none of the other Churches did.

Just a few minutes back before I got this message someone was talking of
a hilarious play called ‘refund’ done by students in a school. The play
was about a man of 40years returning to his school to claim that the
education did not benefit him and was a waste, so he required a refund.
What happens after that is hilarious for the school puts him to a test
and his intention was to fail it while theirs is to pass him.

Today in our lives we need to think of regularly doing a balancing of
our spiritual accounts. We need to remember all those who have been a
blessing to us and see how we could return in some way or other like the
Church of Philippi were in depth to Paul and thus supported his ministry.

We also need to acknowledge all the depth we are to the Lord for all the
small and great things we receive from Him every day but yet we take Him
for granted. Do we think of how we can give in return to Him? We may
think does He need anything from us? Yes He does, not to Him directly
but He tells us to give unto those who are His, especially those who lack.

Let us do our accounting and see if we have balanced our spiritual
accounts, if not with God at least to those people who blessed us in our
spiritual lives. They may not need of us but we can surely give unto
their ministry.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Almighty and Omnipotent God. There is nothing that exist
without You for all things are created by You. You Lord allow things so
that we learn and become what You desire of us. Our giving is also for
our receiving. Lord we pray we understand the need to bless others and
especially those who have been a blessing to us...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Faith made perfect

James 2:21, 22 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he
had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought
with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

We all know how Abraham demonstrated his faith by his willingness to
sacrifice his only son at the command of the Lord. We also know this was
just not a test but at the same place where Isaac was set free from
being sacrificed, there Jesus the Son of God the Father was sacrificed
for us. When God tests us it is not only for us but for the whole of
humanity itself.

Each one of us does not become perfect or eligible individually to enter
the Kingdom of God, but as a whole, all together as one body we are made
perfect. If God has asked each one of us to overcome every area of
corruption caused by sin, none of us would ever do so. Thus none would
ever enter Heaven.

Jesus overcame this world but we all together overcome this world. Each
one of us fights a unique battle which enables the Bride of Christ to
become perfect.

Our works of faith is the battle that is fought with spiritual weapons
i.e. if I say I have love and I do not express this love then can I
claim to possess love? Works of faith is the only way to express true love.

Let our Christianity not be verbal but let it manifest in the natural by
our works. Let these works not be worldly works which please people but
does not benefit them, let them be works that may even displease but
will surely bless them.

Let us do things according to the heart of God in the eyes of God and
not in the eyes of man. Let us remember these works not only benefit
others but also benefit us by making us perfect as a body.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Holy and Righteous God. It was because of the lack of faith
of two that the whole of mankind was caste out of Heaven. But Lord You
also let all those who are yours to return to Heaven by the perfection
of faith in just two. When You see perfect faith is the two witnesses
You say it is sufficient and call us up. We thank You Lord for being
merciful and at the same time being righteous...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Genesis 3:22-24

22And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know
good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the
tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

23Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till
the ground from whence he was taken.

24So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of
Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the
way of the tree of life.

Children of the Bondwoman

Galatians 4:30, 31 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the
bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir
with the son of the freewoman. So then, brethren, we are not children of
the bondwoman, but of the free.

Islam is based on the principle belief that Ismail is the rightful heir
to the promises of Abraham. Islam believes in works like Hinduism does.
They believe if we do good works [works of righteousness] it pleases God
and thus gives the hope to salvation /enter Jamnat /Paradise [Hinduism
believes in Mukti which means freedom from life cycle / Chakra].

Judaism also believes in works and their main work in following the
traditions other than works of righteousness. Judaism is a religion of
traditions which if not kept would disqualify a person from being a Jew
[similar to Zoroastrian religion].

Catholicism is a religion that is based on the belief that salvation is
through good works [works of righteousness] like Islam does and also the
necessity to keep the traditions of the Catholic Church. So we see
Catholicism is a concoction of Judaism and Islam. We all know
Catholicism have lifted a woman greater than the Lord Jesus and they
also claim salvation only through her intervention. She has indirectly
taken the place of the Holy Spirit in the life of a Christian.

As Christians we believe we are saved from Hell simply by our repentance
and faith in the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. So
being saved from Hell is simply a mercy gift [grace] that is received by
faith. A Christian has to live a life that imitates Christ so works is
also very important. But in Christianity unlike Islam or Judaism or
Catholicism the works are not works of righteousness but are works of
faith. It is only when we do the Will of the Father [that is bring His
people to Him] that we get to enter the Kingdom of God. We do not earn
salvation but our works of faith but doing the works of faith we confirm
our faith and thus get to enter the Kingdom of God for we are saved by
grace through faith.

James writes faith without works is not faith or is false faith. So if
we believe in the Lord we need to do what the Lord has asked of us and
as Christians we are given the Holy Spirit who helps us execute the
plans of God that is to live the Christian life we are all called to live.

Today's message is tells us to remove the bondwoman from our lives. We
are called to not be her children, children of bondage but live a life
of being free from bondage. So let us reject the belief that by doing
good works / works of charity we are Christians. Let us reject the
belief that by doing rituals like going to Church on Sundays we are
Christians. Let us reject the belief that if we avoid sinning we are

Let us understand becoming good is not what we work in us but what the
Spirit of God works in us. By ourselves we cannot become good. What we
are called to do is works of faith [our Cross] and in this too the Holy
Spirit is our Helper.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Holy and Righteous God. You are Light, You do not change
and are eternally same for Truth does not change. Lord we pray we
understand the Path to Salvation which the Lord Jesus Christ has opened
for us and shown us how to receive it. Lord we pray we walk this path
with the help of the Holy Spirit and not by our works of righteousness
or by traditions...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Romans 3:27Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of
works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

Romans 9:32Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it
were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;

Galatians 2:16Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the
law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus
Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by
the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be

Galatians 3:2This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by
the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

James 2:14,20,22,24,26

14What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and
have not works? can faith save him?

20But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

22Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith
made perfect?

24Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

26For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is
dead also.

Matthew 7:21-25

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the
kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in

22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in
thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done
many wonderful works?

23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me,
ye that work iniquity.

24Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I
will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

25And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and
beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

Forgiveness through blood

Colossians 1:14In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the
forgiveness of sins:

In Bible study one should be very clear we cannot mostly go by literal
words but need to go through its understanding. As people grow in
scripture study they learn Greek and Hebrew languages because when we
study each word with it grammatical rendering it opens great
understanding of each verse. At times I wondered the Jews knew the
Hebrew language so well then why did they fail in their understanding of
scriptures? It is as the Bible itself says 'the letter kills the Spirit
gives life', so if we do not have the proper understanding then the life
giving scripture may land us in death bondages like it has done to the
Jews, it leads to traditions and rituals as pagans do. I spoke of this
because today's scripture talks of blood of Jesus, one thing that has
not been understood well.

In pagan religions blood (the fluid in a living being) is given great
importance, even hardcore demonic worship rituals require blood (the
fluid). In India we have demonic gods and goddesses with blood filled

Bible says life is in the blood and science knows that even if all the
organs are active, unless blood flows through them the person cannot
live. Every living being has a fluid that moves through them to keep
them alive and this includes plants too [they have sap which is like
blood to them], loss of this fluid causes death.

In both Greek and Hebrew the word blood has multiple meanings. In Greek
it means 'seat of life' and the fluid within a being. In Hebrew the word
for blood is 'dam' compared to the word for man is 'adam' which also
means reddish / full of life. Interestingly in Hebrew the word dam comes
from the root word damam which means death.

Jesus spoke in Hebrew to the Jews and Aramaic to the common people so
terms related to spiritual things should always be understood in the
Hebrew term i.e. when Jesus said one would have nothing to do with Him
unless one ate His flesh. Now the Hebrew word for flesh comes from the
root word meaning 'message' so when He said flesh it did not mean actual
human flesh but meant His message. So the conversion of communion /
wafer to human flesh is demonic and has nothing to do with the Lord.

In the OT many of the sins received forgiveness with repentance and a
blood sacrifice, when the Lord asked for a blood sacrifice He did not
ask for the fluid but for a life sacrifice, the fluid was symbolic.

Today's message tells us the blood of Jesus saves us from the punishment
of sins. The wrong understanding of focusing on the fluid has caused
people to seek the actual blood of Jesus and demons manifest statutes to
bleed so that idols are worshipped.

Today's scripture tells us that it was the death of Jesus that saves us
from the punishment of sins, His life was given for our sake so that we
are set free from the consequence of our sins. So let our focus be the
sacrifice and not the fluid.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Righteous God. You are Love but your Righteousness is above
Love so love had to pay the price. You Lord paid our price on our behalf
by becoming one of us. We thank You Lord for saving us from the
consequence of sins. Today by our faith in your Son we are saved from
Hell which was made for sinners. Lord we pray that we value this
sacrifice every moment of our lives and do not take it for granted since
there is no other option of we do...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Matthew 26:27-29

27And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying,
Drink ye all of it;

28For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for
the remission of sins.

29But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the
vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.

Romans 3:25Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in
his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that
are past, through the forbearance of God;

Revelation 1:5And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and
the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the
earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

Romans 2:29But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is
that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is
not of men, but of God.

2 Corinthians 3:6Who also hath made us able ministers of the new
testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth,
but the spirit giveth life.

Boasting v/s having Pride

2 Corinthians 10: 8For though I should boast somewhat more of our
authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for
your destruction, I should not be ashamed:

Pride we all know is evil and we also know it was one of the things that
bought an anointed Cherub like Lucifer to fall in the eyes of God and
become a source of evil.

If we analyze pride it is about being something which one is not. For
example I can /cannot be proud of my talents. Now if we understand
talent means 'naturally possessed ability or skill'. In other words
means we were born with it even though we may have discovered it later.
So can we take pride in our talents?

No if we think there is our hand in it, we created it and it is
something that is ours.

Yes if we consider it as God given and we are glorifying God for giving
it to us.

Can a plane boats about its ability to fly, NO. It is designed to fly by
the person who made it. Imagine a plane that never flew! The first thing
we would do is blame the one who designed it as being a failure in the
design, even though no one tried to fly it.

God has given each of us many skills according to our Calling or mission
in Him. These are special, meaning it is in greater quantity than the
other skills we possess i.e. we all can sing, some may sing better than
the others, we can also develop this skill to sing by practice but the
one born with this skill will do well without practice or trying.

When we are in Christ [know the power of the Holy Spirit] we can do all
things [for He does it through us] but then still we would have talents
/ natural born skills which would shine greater than normal and these
have a purpose in our lives.

In today's message Paul talks of boasting in his authority. The word
translated as boasting also means to glory, evil or good matters is who
is given this glory, when the Creator / maker of that ability is given
the glory than the pride /boasting is not bad. But when we make
ourselves recipient of that glory even though we did not make it then it
is an evil pride / boasting. So pride by itself is not evil unless the
recipient is not the rightful owner of that glory.

We all identify Paul as a humble man who was selflessly servicing the
Lord. But this humble man's greatest battle was with pride. In all other
areas the Lord showered abundant grace for him to overcome, but in the
area of overcoming pride the Lord told them thrice that the grace given
to him was sufficient.

Paul was a man of great knowledge and understanding, so we all may think
he was the best preacher, in fact that was the opposite. Paul had all
ability in great quantity leaving for the ability of a good orator. He
had great knowledge but sadly could not present this knowledge well
vocally as he could do in letter. People would get bored to hear Paul
speak unlike the interest they showed in reading his letters [vocally he
would go on and on and was not to the point like he did in his letters].
There is a case recorded in Acts where a person sitting on the window
still dosed off, fell and even died by the fall [Paul did bring him back
to life]. It was later Paul realized this weakness was for him to know
that the rightful owner of glory of his abilities was the Lord thus the
Lord kept him poor in that area.

Let us understand like Paul that we do not possess excellence in all
areas so that in the areas we possess we may give due credit to its
rightful owner that is the Lord, like Paul in today's message talks of
the authority which the Lord has given and he takes pride [good] in it
giving God the glory.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Truth thus eternally the same. Evil came because Truth was
distorted and apposed. Lord your Word says we will be set free from evil
only when the Truth is in us and this Truth can only be received not
just by studying the Word but more by living the Word. Help us Lord that
as we listen to the Word we may also follow it...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

2 Corinthians 10:7-11

7Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to
himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that,
as he is Christ's, even so are we Christ's.

8For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the
Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I
should not be ashamed:

9That I may not seem as if I would terrify you by letters.

10For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily
presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.

11Let such an one think this, that, such as we are in word by letters
when we are absent, such will we be also in deed when we are present.

2 Corinthians 12:5-10

5Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in
mine infirmities.

6For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will
say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above
that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me.

7And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the
revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger
of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

8For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

9And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength
is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory
in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

10Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in
necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when
I am weak, then am I strong.

Acts 20:9 And there was a certain young man named Eutychus sitting on
the window sill, sinking into a deep sleep; and as Paul kept on talking,
he was overcome by sleep and fell down from the third floor, and was
picked up dead. (Act 20:9 NAS)

How much of suffering is enough?

Hebrews 11:37They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted,
were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and
goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;

In the world we see people mock the crucifixion of Christ by enacting it
in live. They actually get themselves whipped and also get themselves
pierced on wooden crucifixes.

Bible does warn us of spiritual challenging times ahead, as we grow in
spirit and do signs and wonders so also would evil be manifested with
great signs and wonders.A few days back someone forwarded me a clip of a
statue of the head of supposing to be of 'Jesus' and this statue was
bleeding day by day looking more and more sorrowful. The clip showed
them do scientific tests on it to prove as supernatural; this has caused
people to worship it. We have many stigmata cases reported where people
supernaturally have wounds that are of nails pierced in hands, feet and
of thorns pierced in the head. It would not be surprising to see a
person suffer so much that people would think he or she is Christ

A question we need to ask 'do we love Christ for the physical suffering
He went through on the crucifix for us?'

Yesterday I was reflecting on this and dared to think of that one
question which unbelievers ask us, can suffering write off sin and how
much would be need to write it off? If I take all my sins that would
require lots and lots of suffering, now Christ saved not me alone from
Hell but all those who believed in Him (past, present and future) so if
I add the sins of all then the question is how much suffering would be
need for all sins?

True we do get emotional when we see the suffering of Christ but first
let us understand who suffered and why He suffered.

A single whip taken by an innocent for the sake of a guilty is worth a
thousand whips taken by the guilty. So Christ being perfectly sinless
still suffered for us sinners is no match even if millions of sinners
suffered the same.

More than that aspect we need to understand all the things Christ went
through was more to fulfill the sacrifices stated in the books of Moses
and for the pain i.e. the curse of thorns and thistles was broken by He
taking the crown of thorns on His head. Also while putting the crown
they laid their hands of His head so as to transfer mankind's sins on to
the sacrifice. The fact He was nailed on a cross was so that He would be
lifted up to become our bronze serpent on a pole (cursed for our sake
thus setting us free of curses). He was lifted high up by His hands and
feet also to become our peace sacrifice so that we receive the Holy
Spirit by Him making peace between us and God the Father. The wounds on
His back, the water that gushed out of His side when He was pierced with
a spear and the wooden cross got us our healing from all sicknesses. I
can go on and on with all that He did and fulfill for us through His
sacrifice for He fulfilled each and every sacrifice.

Today's scripture talks of Men of God who suffered and were also
martyred for the sake of the Kingdom of God. Like written some were even
sawed into pieces while they were alive, thought it earned them the
Kingdom of God yet that did not make them greater than Christ.

Let us not look at the quantity of suffering that Christ went through or
how painful it was. Let us understand all that Christ went through had
purpose and He fulfilled the Law for our sake, so that we reap the
blessing and are set free.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Righteous and Holy God. You Lord as love and You love
mankind, but your Righteousness and Holiness is above it. Your love
fulfilled righteousness by becoming a complete sacrifice for us. You
saved us from Hell and made a way for us to enter Heaven by giving us
your Spirit. Lord we pray we understand your sacrifice so as to receive
all its benefits and be abundantly blessed in You...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Hebrew 11:32-40

Hebrew 10:5-10

1 Peter 2:24Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree,
that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose
stripes ye were healed.

Galatians 3: 13Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being
made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth
on a tree:

Colossians 1:20And, having made peace through the blood of [sacrifice
on] his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I
say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

Crucifixion of Jesus Christ

Acts 2:23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and
foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified
and slain:

After another 4 weeks we will see many people mocking the crucifixion of
Jesus. This happens especially in countries like the Philippines, Mexico
and South American countries, where the population is primarily
Catholic; even the Coptic and Orthodox Church, which are splits of the
Catholic Church do the same. The sad part is a large part of the
Believer Churches are part to this mocking of the Lord's sacrifice.

When one see the 'Stations of the Cross' as depicted by the Catholic
Church and the movie 'The Passion of Christ' produced by Mel Gibson one
would find a great difference between the agony Christ suffered
throughout His crucifixion. What is ironic both these are not Biblical
and give more weightage to traditional beliefs over Biblical facts.

Taking for i.e. the feast of Unleavened Bread (celebrated on Saturday /
Sabbath day) where Jesus broke bread with His disciples was celebrated a
week (Sabbath + 6 days) before the actual Passover /Paschal Feast (Jesus
was crucified the evening before Paschal Feast as a Paschal Lamb).
Before the exile of Israel to Babylon the Feast of Unleavened Bread was
celebrated after the Passover but due to the restrictions they faced
they celebrated both the Passover week and the week of Unleavened Bread
together. This is the reason 3 Gospels Matthew, Mark and Luke speaks of
them being celebrated together while Gospel of John speaks of it being
celebrated later.

So Jesus was arrested 5 days before His crucifixion as per the Books of
Moses where the Paschal lamb was bought and kept under observation for 5
days for any blemish before it was sacrificed (Jesus did not speak a
word of protest these 5 days). He was crucified on a Thursday evening
and not on a Friday. He was arrested Saturday evening, observed for 5
days and crucified on Thursday evening. Friday was the actual Passover
day and the 'High' / special Sabbath which the Gospel of John speaks of.
He resurrected on Sunday noon [day of the Peace Sacrifice], exactly on
the third day. That also makes Jesus' iconic coming into Jerusalem
celebrated as 'Palm Sunday', two weeks before His crucifixion and not a
week before (after He entered He went to the temple and disrupted the
market held there for the second time and did other things).

Coming to His suffering we see there too they mock Him. People do not
realize the Jews were under the rule of the Romans so were restricted in
issuing death penalties that is why they tossed Jesus from one court to
another, between the Jewish king appointed authority and the Roman
appointed authority. The Jews only whipped Him 39 (40-1) times and that
too with a normal whip, it was the Romans who whipped Him a hundred
times and that too with a whip having 9 to 13 cords with things like
bones, iron hooks etc. attached to them. It was a group of at least 3
strong men who took turns to deliver the 100 whips with all their might.
It is believed these men had rewards in silver if they killed the victim
by their whip. Psalms 22 and Isaiah 53 give a preview of His agony.

So if we look at what is being celebrated as Passover week in Christian
Churches, is purely traditions overwriting truth as recorded in the Word
of God. God did not desire ordinary man to have a detail record of His
suffering since the blood of the Paschal lamb was put on the outer part
of the door post for God to see but man to be just aware of its
existence and receive its benefit.

What the Catholic Church has done is distorted facts and belittled the
suffering of Christ and thus caused men to enact this by crucifying
themselves (whipping themselves and nailing themselves of wooden
crosses) especially in the above countries.

Let us not mock the Passion of Christ with celebrating Palm Sunday, Good
Friday or Easter (a pagan feast of birth of goddess Ashtoreth celebrated
on the same day as Resurrection Day). I am not asking you start
celebrating 'Good Thursday' but saying let us not change the facts and
belittle the Lord's suffering. He fulfilled every word of the Law as
given through Moses so that He became the complete and eternal sacrifice
for us.

The Jews crucified Christ with their wicked hands trying to suppress
Christ's truth (teachings) changing the lives of people, and we by our
falsehood are also trying to make His sacrifice void in the lives of
people. Let us remember only the Truth changes lives and only the Truth
is the solid foundation for our spiritual lives and our relationship
with the Lord.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, You are a Merciful God. You Lord separated sinful man from your
presence so that he lives and does not die in your Holy presence. You
offered the life of your Son so that sinful man may be cleansed and made
holy to again dwell in your presence. Lord we pray we stop mocking this
sacrifice and belittling it by the traditions of man. We pray the Truth
of your Word be the foundation of knowing what You have done for us...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scripture]

Psalms 22

Isaiah 53

Exodus 12:1-11

Mark 14:1After two days was the feast of the Passover [week], and of
unleavened bread [week]: and the chief priests and the scribes sought
how they might take him by craft, and put him to death.

Luke 22:1Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called
the Passover [week].

Luke 22:6-7

6And he promised, and sought opportunity to betray him unto them in the
absence of the multitude.

7Then came [the Greek word translated 'to come' is not in past tense]
the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed.

John 19:31 Now it was the day of Preparation, and the next day was to be
a special Sabbath. Because the Jewish leaders did not want the bodies
left on the crosses during the Sabbath, they asked Pilate to have the
legs broken and the bodies taken down.

Jerusalem the daughter of a Hittite and an Amorite

Ezekiel 16:28,29Thou hast played the whore also with the Assyrians,
because thou wast unsatiable; yea, thou hast played the harlot with
them, and yet couldest not be satisfied. Thou hast moreover multiplied
thy fornication in the land of Canaan unto Chaldea; and yet thou wast
not satisfied herewith.

In today's message the Lord is speaking of a Jerusalem who is the
daughter of a Hittite mother and an Amorite father. We also read in the
same chapter of this Jerusalem having an elder sister named Samaria who
also came from a harlot mother. What is common among them is their
whoredom. We surely know this 'Jerusalem' is not the city 'Jerusalem',
nor the people of Israel.

In the Bible the Church is depicted as Jerusalem that is why in
Revelation we read about the Heavenly Jerusalem. Most Christian think
the verse asking us to pray for Jerusalem thinks of praying for the
Jews, contrarily it asks us to pray for the Church and says those who
pray for the Church will be blessed. Like in the Bible in Hebrew there
exist two words that are translated as Jerusalem so also it has two
spiritual Jerusalems. One is the false Church and the other the true
Church. This false church is also depicted as Babylon (falsehood /
confusion) in scriptures.

The false church is the church of whoredom means it leads its people to
have relationship with other gods. The false church has two daughters
one is Samaria or Aholah and Jerusalem or Aholibah. The second is the
fully manifested child of its mother therefore carries her name
Jerusalem or Babylon. In actual we see Aholah or Samaria symbolizes the
Jewish church and Aholibah or the false Jerusalem symbolizes the
Universal (Catholic church with all its denominations). The Lord has
warned n number of times of this false church through almost all the
major Prophets like Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Hosea, Amos, Micah, etc.
from this we can know the importance of being aware of this evil.

If we read Ezekiel chapter 16 and read Revelation 16, 17 it speaks of
the sins of this false church and its destruction. Revelation also gives
details as to the stages of its destruction.

The Lord has given us this message for we are in the times where this
false church has peaked in its glory and now the time of its fall is at
hand. Like Revelation 18:21 says get out of it or be party to bear its
punishment. We as Believers should not think we are safe, for if we
introspect many of us still follow the things of this false church even
though we separated ourselves from it. This is because we choose to
follow man and traditions of man more than follow the Word of God.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, You are God and there is none other than You. Yet we see man is
making gods and worshiping them just to rebel against You. They are
among those who seek darkness and death and not light. Lord we pray we
seek to follow your Word and walk in it than to trust man and the
traditions of man...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Giving unto the Saints

2 Corinthians 9:14And by their prayer for you, which long after you for
the exceeding grace of God in you.

When the word 'Saint' is used the Catholics mostly think of a dead
person who is very holy and when one asks them the definition of the
term 'holy', they will go round in circles.

When Believers are asked the term 'Saint' they too think of those who
minister in the Lord's Kingdom but unlike the Catholic thinking they
refer to those alive not specifically those who are dead. Most consider
all Believers to be Saints. If that was true then today's message would
not make sense since it talks of giving unto a specific lot of people.
Today's message talks of giving unto the Saints and speaks of the great
power of their prayers.

The Greek word translated as Saints is 'hagios' which means 'holy'. In
Hebrew the word is 'qodesh' which means 'set apart'. When we say holy we
think of a person with a halo over their heads as depicted by the
medieval artists. The word simply means a person separated unto the
Lord. It does not need to be a person who is separated from all social
activity or society in whole living in solitude like a Hindu 'Sanyasi'
or a Jain monk. Among the Jews an equivalent to a Saint would be a Nazarene.

In the NT a Saint simply means a person who has given up one's own live,
livelihood, family etc. live a life of chastity to serve the Kingdom of
God. This person depends solely on the Lord through the support of His
people. We as Christians are called to give unto the Saints not as an
option but as a duty.

Paul was a great minister of the Lord but we do not find him addressing
himself as a Saint, also he considered himself less than the least
Saint. Even though Paul full time ministered to the people, he did
support himself and also those with him through his business of making
and selling tents showing he himself was not seeking sainthood.

We are called unto sainthood but that does not mean all are and also
even if we are, we are not called to immediately leave everything and
serve the Lord alone. Jesus waited until He was 30 to serve the Father
as a Nazarene even though He desired to do so at an early age. We may do
it at an early age if we are not married or do it at a later age after
settling our families (not after providing for their lives but after
bringing them to a stage that they can provide for themselves). In all
this we are called to not go by our desires or people's unwisely advice,
we need to be very prayerful in this matter. We all can be partly saints
by separating our lives away from worldly things like the Levites of the
OT did.

In today's message Paul highlights the importance of the Saints in the
eyes of the Lord and by providing unto them how we are blessed in
various areas of our lives.

[Prayer Starter]

Father Lord You are a Holy God, for You have separated Yourself from
darkness, You sent your Son to make us to be the light in the darkness
and overcome the darkness so that we can be in union with You. Lord we
pray Lord we learn to be holy. We pray we seek to be Saints serving unto
your Kingdom and as of now support those who have...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

You are a temple of God

1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that
the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

In India one greets with the word 'Namaste', people not aware of its
meaning think it to be meaning 'welcome' or a 'hello'. The word is a
Sanskrit word and means 'the god/deity within me acknowledges the
god/deity within you'. Now one may think the greeting talks of god
dwelling within that person, but a person who understands Hindu theology
will know it is not so.

A Hindu does not seek salvation since they believe they are already
divine, they are already devas (gods) and it is their Karma (deeds) that
enable or deprives them of their divine power. Better karmas will make
them into greater devas and likewise. It is this belief that causes them
to respect people who are elder or holier than them by touching their
feet; they are acknowledging a greater god /deva.

One may find this odd but one needs to understand their concept of
calling each other god/gods. Their Bhagwan meaning 'man gods' do not
live eternal for they can die (that is why they battle /carry weapons)
and can be replaced (either by someone else or by their own avatar).
This ideology is not limited to Hinduism but even other beliefs like
that of the Egyptian, Greek and Romans.

Today's message talks of us being the temple and God dwelling within us.
It is our pagan understandings that cause us to think of physical God
(like an abstract idol) that is within us and that place where we think
it is placed is our natural hearts.

In the Bible the Temple of the Israelites was a tent which did not have
an idol of God (it was forbidden to make idols). They had objects which
were symbolic to understand God and His purpose. The main thing that
separated this tent from others was the glory of God which came when the
objects were in place. It was when the glory of God manifested in the
Temple that they all worshiped Him there.

We are called the temple of God when we have the purpose of God within
us. This place where His purpose is seated is not the natural heart but
our spiritual heart/inner-man which is made of many parts. The part in
our spiritual man where the purpose is enthroned is our will. It is when
the Will of God (symbolized by the Ark) is seated in the holiest place
within us then we see the glory of God on us.

We as Christians are all called to do the Will of God (which is the
salvation of His people) thus within us either the Will or the call to
do His Will is there, therefore we are called His temple.

As temple of God we are called to respect our bodies and also that of
other Believers (since they too hold the Will of God). When we do not
respect ourselves as holy temples, the glory of God is taken away and
thus can lead to destruction. It is very rare God Himself destroys the
temple that is only when the glory was highly manifested and yet there
was perversion within (like in the Bible He caused the enemies to do it).

Let us, especially those who have seen the glory of God understand the
risk of making our bodies an unholy place. Let us get rid of all that is
ungodly so that within us may dwell the glory of God more and more.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Holy God and You separate yourself from all that is unholy.
You God have called us whom You consider your children to be holy for
You are Holy and we are called to imitate You. You Lord are patient thus
You give us time, as far as we keep making efforts to clean our
inner-man of all its un-holiness. Lord we pray we work on all those
areas of our weakness and we do this with the help of your Spirit who is
our eternal Helper...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Worshiping goddess Diana

Acts 19:29, 30And the whole city was filled with confusion: and having
caught Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul's companions in
travel, they rushed with one accord into the theatre. And when Paul
would have entered in unto the people, the disciples suffered him not.

Throughout ages as God has been working on man trying to save man, there
is also a woman that has been working on man trying to destroy man.
There are times this woman has peaked in her attracting the whole of
mankind such that God needed to intervene directly to save man.

Like the time man came together to make the tower of Babel. It was not
the physical height of the tower that mattered but the reason the tower
was built that mattered to God. With the technology available then, this
tower was not even high as our normal city buildings today. Part of the
tower is existent and from its design we understand the purpose of this
tower. This tower was a temple and when it was discovered they found
many idols in it. It is believed this tower was the unification of all
false religions and the chief deity of this temple was a goddess. It was
this unification that angered God and caused confusion between them.

In the book of Jeremiah we see even after Jeremiah warned the people yet
they continued worshiping this Queen of Heaven while they continued
worshiping God. When we read about the history of the Israelites we see
there too goddesses were cause of many of their problems. Chief among
them was the goddess Ashtoreth after whom the feast of Easter is yet
celebrated by the Catholics. The season of Lent or 40days of sorrow
which the Catholics and other denomination celebrate (including some
Christians) also has its roots to do with tradition connected to a goddess.

As a Catholic I used to pray to this deity called 'Mother Mary' thinking
she was the mother of Jesus. It was only after understanding the Word I
realized it was the same power that has been pursuing the destruction of
the people of God since creation is now active as Mother Mary.

This goddess is okay with people worshipping God but wants them to
worship her too and other idols. She is so cunning that a person like
Solomon who is known for wisdom was also not saved from her trap. He
worshipped God and also worshipped this goddess.

Today among Catholics and other Christian denomination we find they
worship God, believe in Jesus as their Lord and Savior and acknowledge
the Holy Spirit but do not follow Him. She is become their comforter,
intercessor /mediatrix, icon of holiness, source /mother of divine
mercy, source of joy, source of peace, leads to the truth etc...

If we look at all the titles they are all connected to the Holy Spirit
and what this goddess has done is placed herself in place of the Holy
Spirit. Jesus brings people to the flock and it is this goddess that
makes them into goats and does not let them become sheep, knowing that
the goats will see worse punishment than an unbeliever who has not
accepted Jesus Christ.

If we look at scriptures she is none other than Satan who is also known
by the word 'goat'. Scriptures says Satan is the father of lies and he
knows if he comes as he is none will follow him and his purpose to
destroy man would fail. He knows his end is definite but wants to
destroy those whom God has set to be blessed with the things he has lost.

In today's message we read about the goddess Diana. It is written about
her even though there were hundreds of other gods and goddesses
worshiped by the Greeks and Roman, all because she had taken a special
place even in the lives of those who worshiped the Lord.

Let us understand Satan will not come as Heavenly Father for we know the
Father, he will come as 'Heavenly Mother' even though in Heaven there is
no man or woman in Heaven, Jesus said in Heaven we will be like the
Angels who are neither married or given in marriage, and God made gender
for marriage and He does not do anything without purpose.

Satan knows the importance of the Holy Spirit and he being an evil
spirit does not want us to have fellowship with the Holy Spirit. He will
allow us to come to The Way but will not allow us to walk The Way which
the Holy Spirit helps us to. He does not want us to overcome and become
Sons of God.

Today I lost a dear one who was greatly anointed in the Lord and loved
God but due to lack of understanding of scriptures was under the bondage
of this goddess. She had more than 9 types of Marys which she worshipped.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are our Heavenly Father. You are called Father not because You
are man or male but as the word means You alone are Provider, Protector
and Creator. Satan knows the Truth is far from man so he deceives man
with worldly words and thoughts by become as mother. We pray Lord let
your people not be deceived by emotions but let them be led by your
Spirit and Truth...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

The Great Salvation

Hebrews 2:3How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which
at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us
by them that heard him;

Yesterday I was preaching at a Church where my topic was the ‘Plans of
God’. It was like covering the whole Bible and understanding it in a
super short summary cover in 45 minutes.

Almost all will state Jeremiah 29:11 as‘For I know the plans I have for
you,” declares the LORD, “/plans to prosper/you and not to harm you’.

But when we actually read it we find it as ‘For I know the thoughts that
I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil,
to give you an expected end.’

The ‘expected end’ is what is called the ‘Great Salvation’. But this
does not mean all will receive it, it also does not mean God is not
capable to save or change all mankind. The Bible can be understood from
the first 4 verses of the Bible.

Genesis 1:1-4

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the
face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

4And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from
the darkness.

As per verse 1 God existed before and in stage 1 God created the
Heavenly creation and stage 2 created the earth (our creation) and while
the earth was yet not created there was darkness that came into existence.

1 John 1:5says ‘God is light, and in him is no darkness at all’, so if
God existed in beginning then where did the darkness come from?

Verse 2 answers this question. Our creation was not made so how was the
existence of ‘waters’. The word has more than one means and one of them
is ‘violence’ or ‘revolt’. We know one third of the angels led by
Lucifer (the dragon/ serpent/King of Tyrus) and the Beast (young lion
/Prince of Tyrus) revolted against the plans of God (Light) and thus
caused darkness. We see God did not destroy the darkness immediately.
The fallen angels know God has set a time when He will destroy the
darkness but before that He is not just sitting but doing something.

When God said let ‘there be light’, light already existed, when God
spoke He bought forth light in the darkness. Mankind was bought into
existence to be the light in the darkness. Then God separated the light
from the darkness and said it is good.

The Great Salvation is when God separates us from the darkness and then
sets forth the destruction of darkness.

Jesus commanded us to be the light and as written in today’s message if
we, after knowing still do not be the light then can we be saved from
the destruction of darkness.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You alone are God and there is none other than You. You existed
before time and time is a factor like distance is for us. You Lord
created the Heavens and earth for a purpose and the purpose is being
blessed in You. Lord we pray we understand the meaning and importance of
being the light as You were as Son of Man Christ Jesus. We pray we do
not fail this and be counted along with darkness that is set to be
destroyed at the end of time...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Matthew 8:28-29

28And when he was come to the other side into the country of the
Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the
tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.

29And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee,
Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?

Jude 1:6And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their
own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness
unto the judgment of the great day.

2 Corinthians 5:10For we must all appear before the judgment seat of
Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body,
according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Hero in your weakness

Acts 13:22And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to
be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found
David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil
all my will.

We all acknowledge heroes in the Bible for certain factors like:-

1) Abraham is the hero of faith for he demonstrated his faith with his
willingness to sacrifice his only son.

2) Paul is called the most humble man, a man who was so tremendously
blessed with knowledge and understanding and who did so much for the
Kingdom of God yet praised others.

3) And we see in today's scripture David is called the man according to
the heart of God.

Every few realize that the very thing these Men of God are synonymous
to, are the very areas of their weakness. They all struggled most in
that area and God did not pour His grace over them to overcome that area
but made them to overcome and helped them get victory over it.

Abraham struggled 25 years to understand if he follows the instructions
of God as defined then nothing can stop what God promised for the Lord
was true to His Word. He was told to not take any kin, but to take only
his wife and to go the promised land. He was promised a son which he did
not receive for 25 years because he took along Lots his nephew along
with him. Many justifications or reasons can be given for him taking
Lots with him but the moment he departed from Lots the Lord active His
promise to Abraham and in short time he received his promise.

Paul was known for his knowledge and understanding of scriptures but had
a problem in presenting them orally in person. He was a very bad orator.
This caused people to compare him to his own students and that hurt Paul
time and again. His 2 letters to the Church in Corinth projects the
battle of Paul to overcome this area. At the end we have a victorious Paul.

Coming to David who is called 'man according to the heart of God', the
book of Psalms is an album of the struggle this man had within himself.
Unlike others David had not just one test but had many. Saul was one of
his tests, a man whom he hated for Saul tried to kill him time and again
but David had to overcome his hatred for Saul and to understand the
place of Saul in the plan of God. David also struggled in other areas
like his desire for a married woman which led him to adultery and murder.

Today the Lord is telling us to look at that one area we have been
struggling and asking God time and again like Paul to give relief and
God tells us like He told Paul whatever grace He has given is
sufficient. He does not let us overcome that area with ease by His grace
but makes us struggle and have victory with the help of His Spirit and
His Word. He wants us to have victory in that area and be heroes of that

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Awesome God. You Lord designed us to overcome darkness by
your light shining within us. You Lord have called us to be overcomers;
if it is only by grace we overcome than where is the victory? You God
have given us your Spirit and your Word so that by the help of your
Spirit we overcome and have victory. We pray Lord we understand like

Fellowship with the Anointing or Anointed Man of the Lord

2 Timothy 1:15This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be
turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.

At times the Lord does amaze me more and more. When I got today's
message I had no idea the Lord was continuing the message on fellowship
which has been going on since a few days.

Yesterday we read about how people of Asia Minor robbed the aprons of
Paul to heal and deliver people and how Jews who did not know Christ
used the names of Christ and Paul to deliver people until one day the
demons questioned them.

In today's message we read Paul writing to Timothy who was in Asia Minor
about how all the people there (in general) had turned away from him.
They were misled due by a few individuals.

One may wonder how people who more than admired, almost worshipped Paul,
people who had so much confidence in Paul's anointing that they knew
even things connected to him would do wonders, could one day turn
against him.

When we have fellowship with a person we need to discern what part of
him or her we are having fellowship with. The people of Asia Minor did
not have fellowship with Paul but with the anointing / blessings of
Paul. They failed to see the man Paul, his weakness and his strengths.
When this happens then people have a supernatural image of the person
which can any day crack.

One thing I learned in my spiritual walk is never be ashamed to speak of
the mistakes one makes. When people are aware of your weaknesses as they
are aware of your strengths they will know you well. Their expectation
is not on you but the Lord that works through you.

When the imperfect Paul was lifted on a great pedestal it was not
surprising that someone came by and exposed one of his weaknesses and
caused the very people who lifted him up to great heights to go against
him. Paul knew the reason therefore did not break his spiritual
connection with them or condemn them. He did encourage Timothy to work
with them and to lead them.

In yesterday's message when the demons questioned the seven sons of the
chief priest the demons knew these sons did not know Christ nor knew Paul.

It is sad when we see most Evangelist making this mistake so much so
that some of them do not allow natural photos of them be realized in the
social media. Any pic that does not look good they will get them removed
from circulation; therefore appoint people to do that. Any adverse
comment against them is immediately attended to from various corners.

The Lord is telling us when we testify the Lord let us also testify our
weaknesses too so that glory is given to the Lord alone. Let us not be
superheroes in the eyes of people for one day these very people will
turn against us.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are an Awesome God and Possessive of your glory. It is not that
You do not desire anyone else to be glorified. You Lord will glorify
your Son once again at the end and You will let us too be glorified in
You when we are united in You. You Lord know anything imperfect should
not and is not worthy of glorify, thus You come hard against the
imperfect. Lord we pray we understand to differentiate between imperfect
people and the work You do through them...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

They will question 'who you are?'

Acts 19: 15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and
Paul I know; but who are ye?

Today's message talks of an important incident that happened during the
times of the Apostles. This happened when Jesus has ascended, Paul was
alive and Christianity was booming.

We see vagabond Jewish exorcists, those who were homeless, so moved
around town to town and did the job of deliverance, they saw Christians
were able to deliver people from evil spirits by taking the name of
Jesus and Paul so they too started doing the same.

You will understand them taking the name of Jesus but may wonder why
Paul. If we read verse before we find these people had idolized Paul so
much that they stole his working aprons (translated as handkerchief) and
used them to heal and deliver people.

Note they did this for some time and this did work; God at times does
allow such things to happen so that He manifests the inside of a so
called Christian (Believer) if he or she is Word rooted or is a person
who only runs after signs and wonders.

While this was happening seven sons of a Jewish chief priest (one level
below the High Priest) also started imitating them and they too were
delivering people from evil spirits by taking the names of Jesus and
Paul. They did this successfully for some time until one day the evil
spirit questioned them. Now note what the evil spirit says 'Jesus I
know, and Paul I know; but who are ye'. Jesus had ascended to Heaven and
Paul was still alive and the evil spirits knew them both. They knew Paul
because Paul knew Jesus had had authority in Him. Evil spirits fear God
and Jesus His Son for they are one; Paul having known Jesus and having
fellowship with Him through His Spirit was also feared by them and they
would abide to instruction of people using their names. But one day they
questioned the people who took their name if they themselves knew Jesus
or Paul.

Spiritual fellowship is not just a social relationship or friendship
between people. Spiritual relationship binds people together
spiritually. We do not realize the power when we call an anointed Man or
Woman of God as brother or sister; we actually extend the Hand of God
that is on them unto us. Paul knew the power of this thus when he said
he handed over some of the stubborn misled Believers unto Satan; Paul
did not have an understanding with Satan to ask Satan to torment them.
Paul knew if he disconnected his fellowship / spiritual relationship
with them they would be an easy target for Satan. Paul hoped by their
suffering they would repent and turn from they ways.

We are what we are in Christ, our fellowship with Him through His Spirit
and if we do not know Christ every well then we are as per our spiritual
relationship with anointed Men and Women of God. Let us not ignore
having fellowship with each other for a bundle of sticks are stronger
than a lone stick.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Almighty and Omnipotent God yet You Lord send your anointed
ones among your people so that they can be a blessing unto your people.
Lord we pray we understand the importance of having fellowship with
those who know You and how we are protected by this fellowship...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Acts 19:11-17

11And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:

12So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or
aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went
out of them.

13Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call
over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We
adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.

14And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the
priests, which did so.

15And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know;
but who are ye?

16And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame
them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house
naked and wounded.

17And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at
Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was

Deuteronomy 13:1-3

1If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth
thee a sign or a wonder,

2And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee,
saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let
us serve them;

3Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer
of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love
the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

1 Timothy 1:20among whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed
over to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme.

1 Corinthians 5:1,5,13

1It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and
of a kind that is not tolerated even among pagans, for a man has his
father's wife.

5you are to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh,
so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord.

13God judges those outside. “Purge the evil person from among you.”

Woman of good works

1 Timothy 5:10 and having a reputation for good works: if she has brought
up children, has shown hospitality, has washed the feet of the saints, has
cared for the afflicted, and has devoted herself to every good work.

In his letter to Corinthians we read of Paul instructing the women not to
speak (preach) but to be under the guidance of their husbands, but here in
one of his later letters we see Paul giving instructions to Timothy on
women being part of the ministry. He instructs Timothy on the criteria for
widows being part of the ministry, showing it was not the gender but the
position (relation wise and culturally) of the woman that mattered. Paul
says widow need to be not less than 60 years old and should not be married
again, she would be a woman who has bought up her children and housed
strangers (shown hospitality), she should be a woman who has washed the
feet of the saints, cared for the afflicted and devoted to good works.

Paul did not give guidance for those who are in the second ring of the
ministry, those who support the ministry or do the donkey’s work in a
ministry. Paul was giving guidance for those who are in the inner ring of
the ministry, those who preached, ministered, stood as leaders.

When it came to widows being part of the ministry Paul suggested against
including young widows but only those above 60years. 60 is not a magic
number but an age where is person is usually not interested sexual
relationships and this point he clears in the next verses where he points
to problems with younger widows as not able to control their sexual
desires. Having sexual desires is not a sin but shows immaturity in terms
of spirituality. We also need to note during the times of the Apostles the
Believer community was strong and they helped each other financially and
were like one family so there was no reason for getting married for
financial or emotional support.

We find one of the criteria pointed out by Paul was ‘washing the feet of
saints’, this was not literately meant. ‘Saints’ did not mean extra holy
people but those who dedicated their lives for the Lord’s service, they
depended on the support of the people for many of their needs and Paul said
a widow who does not have much but yet reached out to the saints in
whatever way they can, could be eligible for ministry.

As Christians let us understand the purpose of marriage, let us not make it
a contract for emotional, commercial, sexual purposes or old age insurance
like the world does. We need to understand marriage with relationship of
Christ and His Church. Can He be called a Good Shepherd if He had no sheep?
Can He be called a Savior if He has no person to save? Can He be called
Teacher if He does not have any students? Marriage without family /
children is like an empty gift box, even if it is beautifully wrapped it
fulfills no purpose, it is like Church (hall) without people. The gift
within is the importance not the wrapping, similarly children are the main
purpose of a family not the couple. God put His purpose before Himself that
is why He humbled Himself and becoming man became our sacrifice.

We also as Christians need to remember good works does not literally mean
social works. In the Bible more importance is given to work of faith than
to social work. We cannot be people doing only works of faith and not doing
social work for our faith will be hollow, or doing only social work and not
doing works of faith for that will not classify us as Christians. So both
are important, but as we grow works of faith hold higher priority for us as
Christians. This same principle we see in the criteria set for widows being
taken into ministry for if not larger, equal part of the points raised are
regarding works of faith.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, You are God and Father to all that You created. You alone are also
protector and provider of all that You created. We pray Lord we understand
everything that was, is and will be is with your consent and nothing is
without You eve the strains of hair on our head is counted by You. Lord we
pray we understand the purpose more than what we see or desire in the
natural. May we be led in the spirit more than in the flesh, may we know
our weaknesses and strengths...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

1 Timothy 5:9-17

9 Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore years old,
having been the wife of one man,

10 Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if
she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints’ feet, if she have
relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.

11 But the younger widows refuse: for when they have begun to wax wanton
against Christ, they will marry;

12 Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith.

13 And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house;
and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which
they ought not.

14 I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the
house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.

15 For some are already turned aside after Satan.

16 If any man or woman that believeth have widows, let them relieve them,
and let not the church be charged; that it may relieve them that are widows

17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour,
especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.

To Boast or not to Boast

2 Corinthians 10: 13But we will not boast of things without our measure,
but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to
us, a measure to reach even unto you.

In today's message we read about boasting not beyond a measure of rule,
in other translations it is written as glory beyond a sphere. So the
question is; is pride allowed if it is controlled?

We all know pride was one of the main highlights of evil that bought an
anointed cherub like Lucifer down. What we do not give attention to is
that pride came after greed; after he gathered the precious things of
Heaven unto himself he starting having pride in himself. So his pride
was not on worldly things but good things that were Heavenly.

There is a thin line between self-respect and pride. If one does Bible
Image Study (how God created all things) one can study pride by studying
the puffer fish. This fish is very poisonous second to the dart frog. It
uses its ability to look very large by expanding itself to defend itself.

What Paul is speaking of in today's message as boasting within a measure
is self-respect and not pride, although both involve acknowledging and
even displaying unto others what one has but the difference lies is in
boasting what one has and what one does not have or is not his or hers.

Every Christian should boast if we do not boast we will not be able to
be witness, but what matters is what we boast about. We as Christian
should know the value of things and who holds credit to it i.e. if we do
not boast about the blessings which the Lord has showered upon us then
can we witness Him? If we do not boast about the works the Lord has done
due to the faith we hold then can we say faith works?

It is only when we boast of things that are not ours or take credit for
things which are not rightfully ours that is when we cross the line and
move into pride territory. Let us like Paul says in today's message know
the measure of rule and boast within the measure of rule. Let us give to
God what is due unto to God, give others what is due unto others and to
our self what is due unto us. Let is witness our God is alive, He works,
His principles work and what He created also does work.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Almighty and Living God, You do wonders Lord, and the
things You created are wonderful. You Lord, created man above all the
things of this world, for You created Him alone in your image. Lord we
pray we witness unto others the wonders of your creation and the wonders
of your works. Help us to discern the limits of boasting and not make
the mistake of taking glory for things that is due unto You or others
and adding things which are not...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Which Jesus?

Colossians 4:11And Jesus, which is called Justus, who are of the
circumcision. These only are my fellowworkers unto the kingdom of God,
which have been a comfort unto me.

In the New Testament not all are aware there are 2 Jesus' mentioned
[leaving aside the one mentioned in the Apocrypha] one Jesus we all know
and then there is this Jesus who is nicknamed Justus and he too was a
Jew. He was a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ and was a co-worker with
Paul in the Lord's Kingdom.

No doubt the person Jesus is the most known person across the world and
across time since 2000 years, yet even today not many people actually
know Him.

The Jews know a Jesus who they state was a false prophet and thus
justify His crucifixion. They believe He is in Hell being tortured in a
pot of boiling oil.

The Muslims know a Jesus whom they call a prophet and some say if a
Muslim does not respect / love Jesus then he or she is not a Muslim. But
interestingly they consider Him a prophet without standing and just a
title. A Prophet is a spokesperson of God and when we relate this in
their religion Muhammad is their only prophet who exists since no other
'prophet' has any say in their belief. No other prophet has any
communication from their Allah to them, even if there are a few verses
where they say something then too we see Muhammad overwrites them and
changes their communication making them to be a misguided or false
prophet. Jesus or Isa of the Quran too falls in this category. So when
they state Jesus as a prophet then we need to ask them in what way?

The Catholics have a Jesus whom they call Son of God yet they set a
woman over Him. Bible says 'unto us (plural) a child is born' and 'unto
us a Son is given'. It does not say 'a son is born' since He existed
since eternity. The Catholics undermine the Lord Jesus Christ and His
sacrifice and put the woman whom they call Mary as more important person
who complements Jesus and thus enables us to receive salvation, through
Him but only via her. She indirectly replaces the Holy Spirit (the
Spirit of the Son) in the Bible.

We have other Christian cults like Jehovah's Witnesses who do call Jesus
Son of God but fail to call Him God but put Him to the status of an Arch
Angel. Then there are others who have more vague understandings of the
Lord Jesus Christ.

When it comes to Christian Believers there too is not a very clear
understanding of who He is. No doubt they consider Him God, Son of God,
Christ and also Son of Man, but the problem with most is their failure
to understand how one relates to another and the transition in between.
This failure has caused Christianity to import an understanding called
'Trinity' from pagan religions and apply to the deity of the Godhead
(Lord Jesus Christ). What they state in the understanding is not fully
wrong but yet it falls short of completely understanding the God head /
Lord Jesus Christ.

Today the Lord is telling us there will be a time where our
understanding of Him will be challenged and at that time will we be able
to stand that test?

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You alone are God and there is no other God besides You. Yet Lord
You come unto us a Father, Son and Spirit and each being complete as
God. Lord Jesus You are Son of Man, Son of God and also God for You said
You are the I AM / YHWH of the OT. Lord we pray more and more know You
better and thus have power and authority in You for in knowing You, your
Name there is power...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called

Matthew 1:23Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth
a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted
is, God with us.

Mark 9:9And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that
they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man
were risen from the dead.

John 5:26-27

26For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to
have life in himself;

27And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is

thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before
the time?

Mind your language

Ephesians 4:29Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth,
but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister
grace unto the hearers.

Just yesterday I had a neighbor who is a devote Hindu and always fasting
one day or other for various gods or goddesses, her sister who does not
stay with her called me. She asked me to pray for her sister since they
had seen someone from their house had got instantly healed after being
prayed over.

Before I went I asked the Lord and the Lord gave me a message, so I knew
where to attend in her life. As I shared sharing with her she opened her
mouth and confessed how she cursed herself every time she felt helpless.
She was having stomach problem and was under treatment since more than 6
months. She has gone to every top gastroenterologist in Mumbai. They
concluded her problem was not controllable and may or may not heal. I
was ministering to her about loving oneself and respecting what God has
created and set, getting her to repent of being an enemy to her own
body, while speaking to her she suddenly got an urge to eat and finished
a whole bowl of soup not leaving a drop. I asked her did I need to pray
over her and she looked at me, for she knew the work had started.

Our words are like flowers, we may mindlessly speak them often but the
moment we meditate or give thought conscious or unconsciously to the
words we speak we pollinate the flower and then it starts to bear fruit.
Depending on the flower the fruit will be. If we speak good things the
fruit will be good and if we speak wrong things then the fruit will be
like poison which will bring death and destruction, many a times after a
long period of time.

Speaking good things does not mean speaking exaggerated things. Faith
does not mean believing anything but means believing the Truth / that
which does not change / which is the Word of God. If we speak things
that are in line with the Word of God we will see blessing manifest in
our lives. But if we speak things that are contrary (more or against) to
the Word / Truth then we will see just the opposite; we shut the door of
blessings and may open the door of curses. If we read Deuteronomy we
will get a part of the list of blessings and curses we open our lives to.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Truth, You and your Word does not change. When we believe
in You and Your Word we too are like rooted on a solid rock that does
not let us be affected by the surrounding. We pray Lord we understand
the risk of speaking vain words even when they are not said with
seriousness. Let us know the risk of every word we speak contrary to the
Truth and how they can corrupt us from within...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Ephesians 4:23-29

23And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

24And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in
righteousness and true holiness.

25Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his
neighbour: for we are members one of another.

26Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

27Neither give place to the devil.

28Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working
with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him
that needeth.

29Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which
is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

Proverbs 18:21Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they
that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Father and Son

Luke 20: 42, 43And David himself saith in the book of Psalms, The LORD
said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, Till I make thine enemies
thy footstool.

Today's scripture touches an area which has caused division among
Christians and this area is of utmost importance since it is
foundational to the belief, the area of the relationship or existence of
the Father, Son and Spirit.

What is interesting is that most do not have a clear understanding of
this matter for all have a limited knowledge of who God is but yet this
matter of understanding is foundational. We need to understand there are
some basic facts of the understanding which cannot be denied and denying
any one of them causes us to cross the border line unto sacrilege.

God is one and He created all that is created

Yet there exist God the Heavenly Father, God the Son and God the Spirit

The Son is not a created being but existed from the beginning and is God

The Son humbled and became man to become a sacrifice on our behalf thus
He became our Savior and the Way to the Father

The Son gave us His Spirit who leads us on the Way to Heaven

The Son who became man and died for us, resurrected and ascended to
Heaven, He will come again to take us to the Heavenly Father

This is the basic belief of being Christian and any deviation on this is
called heresy. Now there are lots of areas which are still hidden to man
like understanding of things before, in between and beyond this
foundational understanding, since these facts speak of a series of events.

In today's message we read the Lord telling our Lord to be seated on the
right hand and on read this most have a pic of God the Father as man
(old man) telling the Son (young man) to be seated on a throne placed on
the right side.

God is Spirit and not a man and so also the Son is Spirit for He too is
God. The Son became man Jesus but after He finishes His work and returns
us to the Father, will He still continue to be man? He humbled Himself
for the cause and after the cause is fulfilled would He continue to be
humbled? In the Gospel of John Jesus says He awaits to return to the
Father and regain the glory He had in the beginning of this creation.
Yet we see most illustrate a picture of a man (Jesus) with an earthly
crown and earthly robes seated on an earthly throne in Heaven. Some
cause the throne to float on earthly clouds and others put it in an
earthly palace made of marble or gold making Heaven into a small earthly

Man cannot comprehend what Heaven is and what it is made of. Though the
Bible tries to describe it to us with symbolism of earthly material or
objects, yet it is only the Spirit of God that can enable us to even
have a glimpse of the real Spirit world.

Jesus said it is only the Lord (Holy Spirit) who can reveal these unto
us, that is if we surrender our understanding and limited mind unto Him.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You alone are God and You are Spirit. Lord we pray we first learn
to understand things of the spirit and then try to illustrate things. We
pray we do not belittle the Heaven or even You to the level of earthly
things but understand the things visible are made to understand the
things not visible...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

How people see you

2 Timothy 2:2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many
witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to
teach others also.

Yesterday I was at a funeral of someone very dear to me. She was mother
in law of a very close brother in Christ. The family is like my own
family. This sister was almost 85 years old and had gone through medical
attacks like cancer, heart attack and many others but she defeated them
all and still continued her life. She was always a support to us in our
ministry even though she did nothing much. Her presence, smile, support
and prayers were sufficient to drive us. The medical problems for which
she was admitted were all cleared yet she gave up her spirit. She
testified even on her death that it was not the sickness that defeated
her. Her life is a testimony for those who did lot but are little
visible to public. Those to whom her work was visible were there to bury
her remains and salute her.

As a Teacher I teach people the Word and about the Kingdom of God. As an
Apologist I confront the understandings of those who attack the Truth.
My forte is Catholicism (since I was one before), Islam and now Hinduism
(which I am learning) so I am always found spiritually shaking those who
are religious from among these. The victims of these beliefs I do not
confront (like those born in them or deceived by others) but only those
who promote it (like Jesus confronted the Pharisees and Sadducees but
not the normal Jews). The one lot with whom that I have the most
confrontation with are the heretics who twist and turn the Truth for
carnal reason reasons.

I debate with Muslims and Hindus but the people who hate me the most are
the Catholics and more than the Catholics are the heretics, those who
know God, know Christ and still manipulate these are the people with the
least moral, there is no level low enough that they will not fall to.
Yesterday I met one such person and was surprised to hear from him the
way he saw me. Even though I am a person totally against physical
violence yet he saw me as a person promoting violence against other
people. My spiritual confrontation was so violent to him that it
manifested in the physical, no wonder he exits from any group I am in or
talks of guns and weapons when he meets me. Yesterday due to the
circumstances I managed to get to have a few words with him but then he
again fled after talking to me for that short time.

In today’s message we see Paul who knows he nears the end of his journey
of life writes to Timothy about how people see him. He says ‘many’ among
the believers acknowledge his good work but does not say ‘all’. Jesus
said woe unto us if we are loved by all men for if we do not confront
people then we are not Christians, people of God, people of light.

We as Christians will be loved and hated; neither just loved nor just
hated. If we are not loved by any then there is a big problem so also if
none hate us then too there is a problem. So those who are hated by most
and do not have close loved ones have to wake up as to what they are
doing, so also all those who are loved by all, including the enemies of
the Cross need to open their eyes as to what they are doing.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are God and Light. You created us to be light in the darkness.
You created us to shine your light to those who oppose You and those who
do not know You. Lord we pray we realize we will be hated by those who
oppose You for they hate You first. Those who are carnal, of this world
and enemies of the Cross will battle us with all they have but then we
are not called to be disheartened but continue the spiritual battle will
all that we have. We pray Lord for strength and courage...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Matthew 23:27Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are
like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but
are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness.

Luke 6:26Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did
their fathers to the false prophets.

John 15:18-25

18If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

19If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye
are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore
the world hateth you.

20Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater
than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you;
if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

21But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because
they know not him that sent me.

22If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now
they have no cloke for their sin.

23He that hateth me hateth my Father also.

24If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they
had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my

25But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is
written in their law, They hated me without a cause.

He became our Brother

Hebrew 2:11, 12 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified
are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the
church will I sing praise unto thee.

We need to understand the meaning of words especially when we use them
as relationships in our belief or faith i.e. I can be well acquainted to
a family member with regards to certain matters but then I cannot call
the family member an acquaintance. Similarly I can be friendly with my
wife or mother or father but then can I call them a friend?

We need to understand relationships before give names to our
relationship with people connected to us. We cannot call our mother as
father or our father as mother similarly call a brother as sister or
sister as brother, or call a brother or sister a cousin but the opposite
we may.

Being friendly and being a friend are two different things. A friend is
person who is not a blood relation but with whom we have a social
relationship. We can be friendly with our mother or father, brother or
sister but when we call them a friend then we break the blood
relationship between us and them. We make friends, but blood
relationships are not made by us we are born into them. Friendships can
be broken when the friendly relationship goes sour but we cannot do the
same to blood relationships. Family relationships may go sour or even
worse but yet we are family. We have seen in the world the worst enemies
are mostly people who were once very good friends.

When I was studying on this relationship the Lord made me understand it
by understanding dogs whom we call man's 'best friend'. I love dogs and
find them as very faithful animals but while I was studying this
relationship in those few days I was shown a face of them which I had
not seen all through my life, I was wondering why so many crazy things I
was seeing of this animal in a short period of time. These may be one of
incidents that happen rarely but when they happen day after day shakes
you, like a coordinated vicious attack of a gang of dogs on another
helpless dog right before your eyes (these were not insane dogs but
regular street dogs who suddenly attack with intention to kill),
cannibalism by a mother dog and its puppies, domesticated house dog
suddenly attacks and kills his master, street dogs attacking a small
innocent child tearing and eating its flesh while it is still alive etc.
and then the Lord opened my mind to what friendship is.

Bible says God chose us even before we were born and He called us by our
names. We did not make our relationship with Him we only acknowledge it,
nor is it by our doings that we sustain it. Even when we give up on Him,
He does not forsake us.

In the Bible words are mistranslated as friend like the relationship
between God and Abraham or between Christ and us. The Hebrew word for
friend is rea' and in 2 Chronicles 20:7 the Lord did not called Abraham
rea' but called him 'ahab which means love [James 2:23was referring to
this scripture]. We are called the Lord's Bride because we are children
of Abraham part of his inheritance.

Similarly in Greek the word 'Philo' means a friend and also an
associate. In John 15 Jesus called us associates for He involves us into
His Father's business. A friend is not a person whom we tell our
business secrets, we may do that to a chosen few but not to all so it is
not relationship based but person based. When it is family business
(father's Business) a brother by default becomes your associate but your
friend does not. We also see Jesus uses the word 'servants' as opposite
to an associate who is co-owner, servant is not the opposite of a friend
but enemy is. When we do the Lord's work we are doing the Family work
wherein along with the Family we too profit the more we do the work,
also by doing Family work we do not do a favor to anyone, we do our duty
and benefit ourselves.

Let us understand our relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ who is
God, who humbled Himself became man and became our brethren so that we
may inherit of the Heavenly Father.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Almighty God and Creator or all beings. Lord when man
sinned a part of You became man and one among us, You Lord called us
your brethren so that we may inherit the riches of our Heavenly Father.
Lord we pray we understand who we are and what it means to be part of
the Heavenly Family. May we also understand the importance of doing the
Family business...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Sciptures]

Exodus 33:11And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man
speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his
servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the

2 Chronicles 20:7Art not thou our God, who didst drive out the
inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the
seed of Abraham thy friend for ever?

James 2:23And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed
God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called
the Friend of God.

John 15:12-17

12This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

13Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for
his friends.

14Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

15Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what
his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I
have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

16Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that
ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain:
that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

17These things I command you, that ye love one another.
