Democrats were beyond thrilled Saturday when media outlets declared former Vice President Joe Biden the winner of the 2020 presidential election.

Break free of our abusive relationship with our government
The left did not just celebrate the Biden victory. They were all about celebrating the reported defeat of Present Donald Trump — and his supporters. America saw lawmakers, Democrats, and other left-wingers call for the creation of a "list" of "Trump sycophants" in order to "shame them" and keep them out of "'polite' society." Unsurprisingly, Biden backers attacked effigies of President Trump in massive (not socially distanced) rallies around the nation.

On Saturday, former first lady Michelle Obama threw fuel on the fire with a tweet ripping the more than 71 million people who voted for Trump in 2020.

What did she say?
Shortly after Biden was declared president-elect by the media, Obama posted a Twitter thread praising the apparent victor, praising Biden voters, and, naturally, ripping President Trump by lauding the coming return of "dignity, competence, and heart" to the Oval Office.


"I'm beyond thrilled that my friend @JoeBiden and our first Black and Indian-American woman Vice President, @KamalaHarris, are headed to restore some dignity, competence, and heart at the White House," she wrote. "Our country sorely needs it."

"Thank you to all of you who poured every ounce of your hope and determination into this democracy over these past four years, registering voters, getting them to the polls, keeping folks informed," Obama continued. "More votes were cast in this election than ever before. It's because of you."

And then she launched into a call for unity — by intimating that Trump supporters are pro-lies, pro-hate, pro-chaos, and pro-division.

Noting that this Biden victory is just the first step in the liberal progressive agenda, she told her liberal followers that there's still much more work to do.

"And after we celebrate — and we should all take a moment to exhale after everything we've been through — let's remember that this is just a beginning," Obama said. "It's a first step. Voting in one election isn't a magic wand, and neither is winning one."

"Let's remember that tens of millions of people voted for the status quo, even when it meant supporting lies, hate, chaos, and division," she cautioned. "We've got a lot of work to do to reach out to these folks in the years ahead and connect with them on what unites us."

She did not detail how her supposedly peace-loving fellow Democrats are supposed to unify with allegedly hateful, divisive and lying chaos creators.

Former first lady Michelle Obama delivered a gloomy pre-taped speech at the Democrat National Convention on Monday, lamenting the state of the country under President Donald Trump.

“You know I hate politics. But you also know that I care about this nation,” she said during her speech endorsing former Vice President Joe Biden for president.

Obama began her speech with a serious tone, focusing on the coronavirus pandemic and the jaded feeling in the country about politics.

“Its a hard time and everyone’s feeling it different ways,” she began, acknowledging that it was “hard to tune into a political convention right now or politics in general.”

Obama also claimed that because she was a black woman, some people would automatically discount her message and her endorsement of Biden.

“Now, I understand that my message won’t be heard by some people,” she said. “We live in a nation that is deeply divided, and I am a black woman speaking at a Democratic convention.”

Obama also spoke about the pain of watching President Donald Trump winning in 2016 despite losing the popular vote, knowing that so many Democrats in key battleground states did not vote. She said:

Donald Trump is the wrong president for our country. He has had more than enough time to prove that he can do the job, but he is clearly in over his head. He cannot meet this moment. He simply cannot be who we need him to be for us. It is what it is.

Obama pointedly noted that she loved her country “with all my heart,” but she said that Americans continue to struggle with injustice, racism, and pain.

“They see people shouting in grocery stores, unwilling to wear a mask to keep us all safe. They see people calling the police on folks minding their own business just because of the color of their skin,” she said.

Obama blamed President Trump for taking what she described as a successful presidency under her husband, President Barack Obama, and making it worse.

“Four years later, the state of this nation is very different. More than 150,000 people have died, and our economy is in shambles because of a virus that this president downplayed for too long,” she said.

She accused Trump of emboldening “torch-bearing white supremacists,” throwing “kids in cages,” and pepper-spraying “peaceful protesters” for a “photo op.”

“Sadly this is the America that is on display for the next generation,” she said, noting that America was failing on “matters of character.”


 
“That is not just disappointing, it’s downright infuriating,” she continued.

The former first lady endorsed Biden, telling voters they should vote as if their lives depended on the results of the 2020 election.

“If you think things cannot possibly get worse, trust me, they can and they will if we don’t make a change in this election,” she said.

As Democrats barrel towards super Tuesday more divided than ever, there remains significant speculation that the Democrat party will not be able to coalesce behind any of the current candidates.

Former Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid believes that Barack and Michelle Obama could play a major role in the presidential race by helping to avoid a brokered convention. 

Reid said on Wednesday that if necessary, “we’re going to have to see if we can broker a deal. Maybe we could even get Barack Obama to do it. The two most popular people in the country, and perhaps the world, are Barack and Michelle Obama.”

Former first lady Michelle Obama has been floated as a potential true moderate candidate before, but has repeatedly brushed off the speculation. Reid didn’t go into detail about exactly what the Obamas could do to remedy the looming possibility of a brokered convention.

The late entry of former NYC mayor Mike Bloomberg has thrown the Democrat presidential race into chaos. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), though technically the frontrunner, is facing enormous resistance from the Democrat establishment.

Former mayor Pete Buttigieg is rising in the polls — some would say he also qualifies as a frontrunner — but he also has been attacked from all sides for being an inept corporate puppet.

In one of the most crowded Democrat primaries in recent history, Democrats have been unable to unite behind one candidate thus far. The Washington Times reports, “in most recent national polls, no candidate even garners a quarter of the vote, meaning that at this late point there still is no clear favorite.”

Although Reid doesn’t appear to be overly concerned with the possibility of a brokered convention, former New Hampshire Democratic Party chairman Chris Spirou took a less optimistic view last week, saying that “I think Bloomberg entering into this thing provides a much greater possibility of a brokered convention.”

Fox host Tucker Carlson speculated in November that Michelle Obama could be the answer to the Democrat party’s electability issues, remarking that “The Democratic Party is ripping itself apart over race and gender and class. Michelle Obama, let’s be honest, is one of the only people who could unite the party’s warring factions.”

She went on to explain how therapy helped her see problems they were going through from a new perspective.

“Sometimes you need an objective person to just hear you out,” she said. “It taught me that I was responsible for my own happiness. I didn’t marry Barack for him to make me happy. No one can make me happy.”

Life after the White House
After they left the White House, Barack and Michelle Obama signed a deal with streaming giant Netflix to produce original TV shows through their production company, Higher Ground Productions, according to Business Insider.

Being a former U.S. president certainly gives one a certain amount of clout, and the Obamas are putting it to use.

USDA announces more reforms to Michelle Obama’s school lunch standards

The Trump administration had already chipped away at former first lady Michelle Obama’s signature school lunch program with some minor regulatory reforms in years past and now has rolled back even more of the lunch standards, in a move that just happened to be announced on Obama’s birthday, The Hill reported.
USDA modifies school lunch standards
In a news release from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, which oversees the federal school lunch program, it was explained that the new reforms were based on commentary and feedback from dietary 
The changes are intended to provide more flexibility to local school districts — given the presumption that they know what is best for their own children — on what could be offered as an acceptable meal for students.
“Schools and school districts continue to tell us that there is still too much food waste and that more common-sense flexibility is needed to provide students nutritious and appetizing meals. We listened and now we’re getting to work,” USDA Secretary Sonny Perdue said in the statement.

He added, “Our proposed changes empower schools to give their very best to our children nationwide and have the potential to benefit nearly 100,000 schools and institutions that feed 30 million children each school day through USDA’s school meal programs.”

Reforms allow for flexibility, local control
At the heart of the recent changes announced by the USDA is more flexibility and variety for local schools in terms of the kinds of fruits and vegetables that could be offered for breakfast and lunch meals.

Obama pushed to institute “healthier” requirements for school lunches with the 2010 Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act, but critics complained of federal overreach, cost, and food waste due to unappetizing meals.

The rule change would also allow for the provision of “a la carte” meals — reducing waste by allowing students to pick and choose what they do and don’t want to eat. It also allows for customizable meals that may vary based on certain grade levels of students or different schools within a district.

Michelle Obama launches initiative to foster first-year college success

Former First Lady Michelle Obama may not be running for president — yet — but that doesn’t mean she isn’t taking action to help the Democrat Party and the ideological left more generally ahead of future elections.

Breitbart reported that Mrs. Obama has launched a new higher education initiative intended to encourage more young people to attend a predominately liberal academic institute of higher learning and to stick with their indoctrination — er, education — all the way through to successful graduation.

The former first lady’s effort to convince more young people to go to colleges and universities will be a joint cooperative between her Reach Higher education initiative group and the Instagram social media platform, produced and distributed by a media company known as ATTN: that is geared toward the millennial demographic and younger.

According to Axios, the video series will be called A Year of Firsts and will focus on four first-year college students by documenting their achievements and struggles as they make their way through their initial year in school.

In a statement to Axios, Obama said: “By sharing their stories, they’re helping others see that the ups and downs of the first year of college are something everyone goes through — and they’re creating a supportive community for others facing similar challenges.”

The co-founder of ATTN:, Matthew Segal, told the media outlet: “This series will meet many students where they live — on Instagram — and share candid perspectives about how to overcome barriers.”

A new series
Michelle Obama announced the new series with a video of her own that was posted to Instagram on Tuesday. Watch below:

The six-episode series will premiere at some point in January and run through to a finale in June, according to Axios.

The next generation
To be sure, there are plenty of benefits, knowledge, and skills that can be obtained through attendance at a college or university.

That said, academic institutions of higher learning are widely known as hotbeds of progressivism populated by leftist professors who inject their liberal ideology into their instructional approach, regardless of the subject.

While at first glance this particular initiative doesn’t appear to be overtly partisan, it is hard to simply dismiss the possibility — given what we know of higher education in general and Obama’s personal political leanings in particular — that this is little more than a recruiting effort designed to train large numbers of young people to be good little Democrat voters in the future.

Instagram post from Michelle Obama renews calls for 2020 run: Report

There have long been rumors that former First Lady Michelle Obama may make a late entry into the 2020 race — and a recent social media post from the Democrat icon only added fuel to those flames.

The International Business Times reported Friday that an early-morning Instagram post from the former first lady prompted supporters to call for her to launch a presidential campaign.

Obama 2020?
For her part, Obama has stated on numerous occasions that she has no intention of running for president in 2020, if ever — but those statements have failed to quell the outcry from her fans for her to step up and be a leader for the left on the political stage.

According to the Times, the latest push from her supporters comes as the former first lady is promoting her “I Am Becoming” journal, a companion piece to her best-selling memoir Becoming that shares Obama’s love of journaling and encourages others to do the same.

What really set off this latest push for her to enter the race, however, was an inspirational video Obama posted on Instagram highlighting a recent visit she made to schools in southeast Asia.

The short clip, which also featured actress Julia Roberts, was apparently intended to encourage young women to get an education. “My trip to Vietnam and Malaysia was filled with so many hopeful reminders of the power that lies in education,” the former first lady wrote in her caption.

“Just run for president already”
It didn’t take long for the former first lady’s legion of supporters to turn out in droves in the comments section, with many urging Obama to make a White House bid.

“Can you please run for president? We need a strong black woman to be our president,” one Instagram user wrote, according to the Times. Another opined: “Just run for president already. I’m tired of those clowns on TV.”

It seems that much of the hubbub surrounding a Michelle Obama presidential campaign spurs from heightened anxiety among Democrat analysts over the current field of candidates. NPR reported in November that some are concerned none of the top contenders for the Democrats’ 2020 nomination has what it takes to defeat Donald Trump.

But, as NPR reported, the field is more or less set, and late entries into a presidential race are rarely ever successful. Moreover, Obama herself has said there is “zero chance” that she would throw her hat in the ring, choosing instead to “improve this country and build a better world” in other ways, according to Newsweek.

Unfortunately for Obama’s supporters, it looks like the calls for the former first lady to run for president are falling on deaf ears.

Former New Mexico governor says Democrats could choose Michelle Obama as their 2020 nominee

To say the 2020 Democratic presidential primary contest has been a bit underwhelming thus far would be an understatement. None of the roughly 20 Democrats vying for the White House have truly emerged as a clear frontrunner — and according to former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson (D), this could lead to a “brokered convention.”

According to Breitbart, Richardson suggested that a yet-unannounced candidate, like former First Lady Michelle Obama, could step in and win the Dems’ 2020 nomination.

A surprise candidate?
Appearing on CNN with host Michael Smerconish on Saturday, Richardson was asked about the likelihood of a brokered Democratic National Convention in 2020 if no candidate was able to win enough delegates in the primaries to be the clear winner of the nomination.

“I believe we are headed toward a brokered convention for the following reason: there’s a total of 4,600 delegates that are out there, 3,800 are pledged. But these superdelegates, 785, could be potentially the margin of victory,” Richardson replied.

“They can’t vote until after the second ballot,” he added of the delegates. “But if you look at the top tier, Mayor Pete [Buttigieg], Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, and potentially two formidable candidates in [Michael] Bloomberg and [Deval] Patrick coming in, they’re all bunched up around 20% [support] or a little lower.”

Meanwhile, Richardson says, a candidate needs 1,119 votes “to get a first-ballot victory. I don’t see any way that’s going to happen, Michael,” Richardson said. “So I think we’re going into a brokered convention. The new rules from the Democratic National Committee point to a brokered convention in the second and third ballot, where everybody’s free after the second ballot, third ballot.”

He went on: “Potentially, some new candidates might emerge that perhaps didn’t enter the primaries, like Michelle Obama, the most popular Democrat in the country.”

“Desperation for victory”
Smerconish was taken aback by Richardson’s suggestion. “You’re making news here,” he told the former governor. “Do you really think that’s a possibility that she would get in?”

“Well, no, I think the delegates would want somebody that can win. There’s desperation for victory,” the former governor replied. “Sherrod Brown of Ohio, Michelle Obama, somebody like that. Possibly Tom Hanks, the actor. I know that’s a little far-fetched.”

But it’s a possibility, he said. And according to Richardson, that’s not necessarily a bad thing for the party.

“I think it’s good, the fact that we have a lot of candidates out there,” he said. “We built a strong bench for the future.”

To be sure, the former first lady has made it abundantly clear that she has no desire to run for the presidency. But if what Richardson envisions about a brokered convention ends up becoming reality, and the Democratic Party needs a unifying figure to face off against President Donald Trump, there’s no telling what might end up happening.

Michelle Obama has resumed promotion of When We Vote, a purportedly “nonpartisan” organization that is run almost exclusively by liberals and Democrats.

Her fellow co-chairs who have helped promote the get-out-the-vote effort since the group was first organized in 2018 include Broadway actor/producer Lin-Manuel Miranda, country music star Faith Hill, actor Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson, and NBA basketball star Chris Paul.

In an Instagram post on Thursday, which marked exactly one year until the 2020 votes are cast, Obama shared a video introducing several new co-chairs that will help promote the organization over the next year.

The new faces include actress/singer Selena Gomez, actress Liza Koshy, TV producer Shonda Rhimes, actresses Tracee Ellis Ross and Kerry Washington, and soccer star Megan Rapinoe.
Gotta get everyone registered to vote
In the video, which garnered more than 872,000 views in the first day since it was first posted, the former first lady and various celebrities who’ve joined the effort spoke about how important it was for everyone to get motivated to go and register to vote ahead of the 2020 election.

Obama said, “Last year we went big. Millions of voters made their voices heard for the first time.”

“Now, the stakes are even higher. That’s why I’ve been reaching out to some friends to expand my Voting Squad for the year ahead,” she added. Watch:

Pushing voter participation — toward one particular side
To be sure, encouraging more voter participation is not an unusual cause for liberal celebrities, nor is it necessarily a bad thing.

Those of us from a certain generation can definitely recall MTV’s “Rock the Vote” campaigns that began in the 1990s.

It should be pointed out, however, that these sort of videos — a multitude of liberal celebrities telling people what to do — is a rather well-worn routine that has lost its effectiveness over the years, and it is more than a little galling to hear a bunch of left-leaning individuals ludicrously declare themselves as “nonpartisan” when everybody knows exactly how they’ll vote and, more importantly — how they want you and everybody else to vote on Election Day.

Poll: Michelle Obama would be frontrunner in New Hampshire primary field

Though her name has been consistently floated as a potential last-minute entrant into the 2020 Democratic presidential primary race, former First Lady Michelle Obama has repeatedly made it clear that she has neither the desire nor the intention to run for the presidency.
 
However, should she change her mind over the next few months, a new poll shows that Obama would enter the race as the frontrunner in the New Hampshire primary contest, surging ahead of the entire field.
 
Race essentially tied
The Boston Herald reported on the results of the poll it conducted between Oct. 9-13 in conjunction with Franklin Pierce University, which showed that Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) had surpassed former Vice President Joe Biden by a single percentage point to take the lead in the early primary state of New Hampshire.
 
While Warren (25%) and Biden (24%) were essentially tied — given the poll’s margin of error of 4.8% — Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) came in right on their heels at 22% support, making for a virtual three-way tie.
 
These new results were quite different from the outcome of the same poll, conducted in September, when Sanders held a solid lead over his rivals, garnering 30% support as compared to 21% for Biden and only 17% for Warren.
 
Hypothetical candidacy
Everything changed even further when the pollsters asked New Hampshire voters to consider a hypothetical Michelle Obama candidacy, and the former first lady vaulted to the front of the pack with 26% support.
 
Trailing behind Obama were Biden and Warren tied at 20%, with Sanders bringing up the rear of the top-tier with 15% support. The pollsters estimated that Obama would take about 4 points of support away from Warren and Biden and 7 points from Sanders.
 
Of course, Obama has said on multiple occasions that she has no plans to run for office or even a desire to return to the White House, including as recently as an interview in August with The National, the travel and culture magazine distributed on Amtrak trains.
 
“Just between us, and the readers of this magazine — there’s zero chance,” Obama said of the likelihood that she would run for president. “There are so many ways to improve this country and build a better world, and I keep doing plenty of them, from working with young people to helping families lead healthier lives. But sitting behind the desk in the Oval Office will never be one of them. It’s just not for me.”
 
Dem nod still up for grabs
The pollsters also queried Republican voters in the state and found that, while there had been a little bit of slippage in support for President Donald Trump — down from 88% to 71% — and a significant gain in support for one of his primary challengers, former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld — up from 3% to 14% — the incumbent president was still a lock to win the state’s primary election.
 
Given that Trump almost certainly isn’t going anywhere — sorry, impeachment-obsessed Democrats — and there’s a statistical dead-heat among the top Democratic candidates in New Hampshire, the race will be quite interesting to watch as primary day approaches.
 
The fact that none of the current Democratic candidates has taken a solid lead yet, combined with the revelation that a hypothetical Michelle Obama candidacy would siphon support away from all of them, just means that New Hampshire, in particular, is entirely up for grabs and is still anyone’s to win in the coming months.

Top-selling tabloid The Globe is reporting that former President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle are consulting top-notch lawyers so they can get a “$150 million divorce.” The Obamas are said to be “feuding” because Michelle wants a celebrity lifestyle, while Barack just wants a quiet retirement
But not everyone is buying this story.
Obamas divorce hoax?
According to The Globe, Barack Obama allegedly threw his wedding ring at his wife, after which they didn’t communicate except through their “people.” He is supposedly refusing to give her alimony or child support for their daughters — both of whom are over the age of 18 — and wasn’t wearing his ring during a speech he gave on Sept. 29.
The article also alleges that Michelle Obama wants to run for president to show up Barack; at the same time, she wants to have her own talk show, like Oprah Winfrey.
Of course, while Michelle Obama could probably do just about anything she wanted to in this political climate, it would be dubious for anyone to simultaneously run for president and start up a talk show. Presidential candidates generally have to stop any ongoing television gigs and other projects to avoid conflicts of interest.
Besides all that, Michelle Obama has repeatedly denied having an interest in running for office. In an August interview, she said there was “zero chance” of her wanting back into the White House, according to The Hill.
Moreover, Gossip Cop and other fact-checking sites have said the claim that the Obamas want to divorce is false. The outlet points to sweet sentiments the Obamas posted about each other and their marriage on social media as they celebrated their anniversary on Oct. 3.
“Twenty-seven years ago, this guy promised me a life full of adventure,” Michelle Obama wrote. “I’d say he’s delivered. Here’s to our next chapter of becoming empty nesters and discovering what’s next — while still feeling the magic that brought us together all those years ago. Happy anniversary, Barack.”

Flimsy evidence
Another reason Gossip Cop doubts the power couple will be splitting up any time soon is their planned purchase of a $15 million beachfront mansion on Martha’s Vineyard. While sweet words and a new home purchase aren’t conclusive proof of anything, their behavior just doesn’t indicate a likelihood of divorce.
Even the claims about Barack Obama not wearing his wedding ring are not holding water with people who know the pair. A news story from earlier this year said that the former president routinely takes his ring off when attending public events because he’s afraid of losing it.
There seem to be reasonable explanations for just about every one of the claims made by the tabloid. Furthermore, no sources are given for the allegations — only hearsay.
Time will tell whether The Globe’s predictions given will come to pass, but at this point, it seems unlikely.

After the success of her memoir, which was released last year, Obama is preparing to release yet another book on November 12 called Becoming: A Guided Journal for Discovering Your Voice. At the very least, the timing is suspect.

Her new project will release roughly a year from the 2020 election and, if the past is any indication, this book will also become a bestseller. Obama is particularly well-liked by Democrats, and her party is still searching for a frontrunner.

According to reports, the new project connects with her previous work by including “more than 150 inspiring questions and quotes that resonate with key themes in Mrs. Obama’s memoir and that are designed to help readers reflect.”

Readers will be encouraged to reflect on “family history, their goals, challenges, and dreams, what moves them and brings them hope, and what future they imagine for themselves and their community,” continues the description.

Given that Obama has remained in the public eye, many are speculating that it’s just a matter of time before she announces a White House run. Joe Biden isn’t quite cutting it and the other candidates are already has-beens.

Michelle Obama to visit Malibu retreat that caters to the ultra-wealthy: report

One of the hallmarks of Barack and Michelle Obama’s tenure in the White House was their oft-repeated critiques of Wall Street “fat cats” and the ultra-wealthy “1%” in America. Ironically, though, upon leaving the White House, the Obamas themselves are enjoying a life of luxury, thanks to their multi-million dollar book deals and Netflix contract.

The former first lady is reportedly scheduled to spend some time relaxing at an exclusive luxury “wellness” resort in Malibu that is frequented by the same ultra-wealthy folks that the Obamas routinely railed against.

This will reportedly be at least Obama’s second visit to the pricey resort, as she and her entourage were seen staying there last year, Fox Business reported.

Michelle Obama and an “entourage of friends” — plus, presumably, a contingent of Secret Service agents — are believed to be headed this weekend to a place in Malibu, California known as “The Ranch,” Fox reported.

The Ranch bills itself as an “award-winning luxury, fitness, and wellness retreat” that features “immersive health, weight loss and fitness programs centered around daily hikes, guided exercise and locally sourced plant-based meals.”

According to its website, a week’s stay at The Ranch starts at $7,800 per person. A month-long stay runs $30,000.

Other guests annoyed
A visitor at The Ranch who was present during Obama’s prior visit told Fox that the former first lady arrived with about a half dozen friends and nearly two dozen Secret Service agents that turned what would ordinarily be a peaceful and relaxing week for other guests into anything but that.

Guests who were there at the time complained about Secret Service agents monitoring them while they were on daily hikes or in yoga classes.

“I guess Michelle was nice enough,” one client who was there last year told Fox. “But it’s kind of a hassle and not very relaxing to go on a hike surrounded by guys with plugs in their ears watching your every move.”

Hypocritical much?
Obama’s visit to The Ranch in Malibu is also being viewed as rather hypocritical in light of the Obamas’ public stance against the ultra-wealthy and their lavish lifestyles.

“This place is filled rich Wall Street dudes looking to lose weight,” another person told Fox.

Indeed, even as they railed against “millionaires and billionaires” for years before and during their time in the White House, the Obamas are now millionaires themselves — and are clearly enjoying the benefits.

It should be noted that The Ranch declined to comment on Michelle Obama’s reported visit, as did a representative of the former first lady.

If true, however, it will be interesing to see how the Obamas’ increasingly lavish lifestyle meshes with the increasingly progressive, anti-wealth message being pushed in the Democratic primary by far-left candidates.

Her ringing endorsement follows that of former first lady and failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton who has called the Suits actor an “inspiration.”

Mrs Obama used Instagram on Wednesday to share an image of her fellow American as she attended a reception for Young People at the Residence of the British High Commissioner in Cape Town.

It appears the admiration of Obama for Markle works two ways.
The Duchess interviewed the former first lady for the September 2019 issue of British Vogue, which the Duchess guest edited. In it the two discussed motherhood, giving advice to children, and girls’ education.
The Duchess of Sussex called the former FLOTUS “magical” and praised her “endearingly frank, down-to-earth personality.”
More recently Hillary Clinton went public with her adoration of the Duchess, being full of praise for how the newly-minted Royal is “representing the U.S. in the UK and on the world stage.”
She took to Instagram earlier this month to share a snap of the Royal hugging a woman to illustrate her affection.
Hillary captioned the picture: “I’m so inspired by how Meghan Markle—aka one half of @sussexroyal—is representing the U.S. in the U.K. and on the world stage.
“Meghan’s new project: Helping @SmartWorksCharity equip women who have been out of the workforce with the office essentials they need to feel confident in job interviews and beyond.
Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex  arrived in Africa on Monday as part of their plan to spread their climate advocacy to a new audience.

Baby Archie has joined them on the flying 10-day visit along with a team of 13 assistants including a “social media officer” and a hairdresser for Markle.
The praise for the Duchess coming from two former first ladies is not the first nod towards her rising global profile and the adoration from international elites.
As Breitbart News reported, earlier this month she was crowned Britain’s top social climber by society bible Tatler which observed Markle had reached “the pinnacle of the greasy pole” in the space of barely 12 months.
The 38-year-old achieved her honor in social mobility by the simple process of marrying into the British Royal Family, Tatler observed.
Applauding her “A-list ascent” to Royal status, Tatler notes:
The Ralph and Russo-clad beacon of change has found a role that suits her to perfection: A tungsten toughie to drag the Royal Family into the 21st century.

Michelle Obama said that living with President Donald Trump in the White House is like spending the weekend with a “divorced dad” who is making America “sick.”

The former first lady made the comparison in an interview Sunday with noted anti-Trump buffoon Stephen Colbert at a stop in London Sunday to promote her best-selling memoir, Becoming.

America was doing just fine when her husband was in office, Obama said, but America is now like a teenager living in a broken family, the former first lady told a crowd of 15,000 at the O2 arena in London.

“We come from a broken family, we are a little unsettled,” she said “Sometimes you spend the weekend with divorced dad. That feels like fun but then you get sick,” adding, “That’s what America is going through right now. We are living with divorced dad.”

That was just one of several oblique snubs that Obama fired at the president throughout a 90-minute talk with Colbert. The former first lady dropped familiar platitudes, saying that Trump deals in the politics of “fear” and suggested that positive change can come but only if Americans vote him out of office. She continued:

It’s time for us to roll up our sleeves and if we are not happy with the state of things then, in democracies, we have votes. Yes, it’s low but we’ve had lower. We have had more to fear. We have lived through slavery, the Holocaust and segregation. We have always come out at the other end, better and stronger. We are moving in a direction of diversity and inclusion. There will be bumps in the road but change is hard and we are in the throes of that uneasy change.

Obama also wanted to “remind people” that her husband was elected twice and that “people thought [he] was smart.”


“That really did happen. People would have voted for him for a third time. What is going on today is true but what happened before was also true. That should give us some solace at some level. For eight years, the president they saw in their country was Barack Obama.

Ms. Obama repeated myths about her husband’s presidency, which supporters often claim was “scandal free”, and which she juxtaposed with what she called Trump’s “indictments.” The president has not been indicted for any crime, and he was exonerated of Russian collusion after a nearly two-year investigation. “For anyone who had any problems with Barack Obama, let’s just think about what we were troubled by –- there were never any indictments,” she said.

The former first lady also made familiar complaints about the president’s inexperience, appearing to compare him to a swimmer who is out of his depth.

“The presidency doesn’t change who you are, it reveals who you are. It is like swimming in the ocean with great waves,” she said. “If you are not a great swimmer, you are not going to learn in the middle of a tidal wave. You are going to resort to your kicking and drowning and what you knew how to do in the pool.”


Since leaving the White House, the Obamas have occasionally criticized Trump, often indirectly and not by name. Sunday was not the first time Ms. Obama compared her husband’s “hope” with Trump’s “fear.” The former first lady admitted that she sometimes struggles to watch the news out of disgust.

“When I am not emotionally able to deal with it I turn it off for a moment,” she told Colbert. “I only let some of that stuff into my world when I’m ready. You can’t have a steady diet of fear and frustration coming in.”
Becoming has sold almost 10 millions copies, and is on its way to becoming the best-selling memoir in history.

Michelle Obama is trying to hammer home a message she hopes will stick with Democrat voters.
In a recent email, Michelle Obama told supporters, “There are no ‘off’ years when it comes to being a voter.”

She added, “I’ve always said that voting isn’t just about presidential elections – it’s about every election at every level.”
Playing the Long Game
The former First Lady knows if the Democrat party is going to build on any momentum they gained during the 2018 mid-terms, they must keep the pedal to the metal.

Democrats always seemingly have the numbers, but far too many of their voters don’t show up on election day. Michelle Obama is hoping to change that.
While Democrats saw a record number of voters come out for the 2018 mid-terms, there were still millions of voters sitting on the sidelines.

Republicans have the same problem, just not to the same degree as Democrats.
Changing States
The GOP needs to pay attention to what Michelle Obama is doing because they are going to need to do the same thing in vulnerable red states.

Look no further than the battle Ted Cruz found himself in for his Senate seat in this past election. Texas has long been a red state, but more liberals are moving there the from coastal states, changing the voter base in the state.

That Beto O’Rourke was able to mount a serious challenge to Cruz should serve as a massive wakeup call. Every state is at risk coming into the 2020 election.

The main reason Trump won the last election was that he was able to not only carry traditionally red states, but he was also able to win a few battleground states that have historically voted for Democrats.

Trump was able to do that with a fairly weak ground game in 2016. That will not be the case in 2020, so Republicans better start rustling up votes now or we could see some big changes come January 2021.

Former First Lady Michelle Obama is selling out arenas as she discusses Becoming, her best-selling memoir, in front of live audiences across the country. According to sales data from the online vendor Ticket Club, Mrs. Obama’s book tour was the best-selling event on Monday, beating out the NCAA Final Four college basketball championship and the PGA Masters Golf Tournament.

However, Obama isn’t packing concert halls because of her literary genius; the former first lady’s political staying-power and popularity among the progressive left is unmatched, explaining why recent polls suggest that Obama — who says she has no plans to run for President — is nonetheless tied with former Vice President Joe Biden as Democratic voters’ top choice for presidential candidate in 2020.

Rock star status
Before Obama’s memoir ever hit bookstores, she was selling out stadiums to talk about it. Tickets from the first 10-city tour ranged from $30 for nosebleeds seats to $3,000 to get up close and personal with the former first lady. A single VIP seat in Dallas sold for $10,000, prompting some fans to complain about attendance being inaccessible to the poor.

Obama’s “Beyoncé-level sales” are expected to gross millions, and tickets to her appearance at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Ga. on May 11 sold out faster than artists like Lady Gaga, Pink and Adam Lambert. “You don’t see it every day, but she’s not a typical author,” said Deborah Speer, an editor for the concert-industry trade magazine Pollstar. “Michelle Obama is kind of a rock star herself.”


Becoming was the most successful hardcover book in 2018, selling more than 2 million copies in its first 15 days alone. The first lady’s memoir is even a No. 1 bestseller in countries like Britain, Germany, France, Italy, Holland, and Spain, a testament to Obama’s worldwide celebrity.

The early favorite
What explains Obama’s unrivaled success? The same qualities that make her so appealing as a potential Democratic presidential candidate; the former first lady has positioned herself above the political fray.

“I want to serve, I want to do work, I want to be out there, but there’s so many ways to make an impact, politics is just not my thing,” she told Today show co-hosts Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb in October.

While Obama insists that she won’t take on President Donald Trump in 2020, a substantial number of Democrat and independent voters are still listing her as the person they think “should become the Democratic presidential nominee in 2020.”

A Hill-HarrisX poll released on Tuesday found that 25 percent of Democratic respondents said they would vote for Obama in a Democratic Party primary, choosing the undeclared Chicago native over nine other nationally prominent candidates, including Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Kamala Harris (D-CA), and Cory Booker (D-NJ).

Only former Vice President Joe Biden performed as well in Tuesday’s poll as Obama. Although he has yet to declare his candidacy, Biden is widely expected to run, and he promised to announce his decision this month. However, he previously told supporters he would decide before the end of 2018, a sign that Biden may be second-guessing his election chances.


Icing on the cake
By not engaging in partisan shouting matches and steering clear of serious political topics, Obama has avoided controversy — preserving her reputation and public image in the process. Obama resonates with so many Democratic voters precisely because she has refused to run for political office.

“Because she’s never been a candidate, she’s never been on the ballot, she’s avoided a certain degree of scrutiny that candidates face. And so she’s all icing for people, it’s all good,” suggested Molly Murphy, a partner with the Democratic consulting firm ALG Research.

While Democrats may look to social icons like Oprah Winfrey and Michelle Obama as their best hope for winning the presidency, the race for the White House is not just a popularity contest. The moment a potential candidate throws their hat in the ring, a cottage industry of reporters, pundits, and lobbyists springs up to take them down.

But that’s not to say that Obama’s star quality isn’t impressive. The former first lady is the most popular public figure among millennials, and she would give any Democrat contender a run for their money.

There have long been quiet rumblings among the left that former first lady Michelle Obama might run for president, even as she has steadily dismissed such rumors and professed no interest in a political career.

Yet, in light of Obama earning the top honor in Gallup’s recent survey to determine the “Most Admired Woman of 2018,” the rumors of Obama running have sparked up once again.

Should she decided to do so, she most likely has a ready-made constituency waiting to support her, and would probably be capable of vaulting over all other Democratic competitors for the party’s nomination with ease based on name recognition and reputation alone.

Obama would also likely have the best chance of any prospective Democrat nominee of knocking President Donald Trump out of the White House. However, whether she ends up running or not, she’ll need to announce a decision in the near future.

Another Job Boom Proves Trump’s Critics Wrong Again
Recently, the mainstream media gleefully reported something that many at first dismissed, quickly passing it off as nothing more than a transient morsel of cultural trivia, if not fake news.

Allegedly, a recent Gallup Poll not only bestowed upon Michelle Obama the honor of being The Most Admired Woman in 2018,but also thereby declared her to be more popular than Hillary and Oprah!

I would suggest this news might represent an ominous bellwether of measurable import to all of us who are hoping to see President Trump elected to a second term.

In politics, 2020 is but a blink away, and who will be anointed by the Democrats to challenge President Trump is being decided right now. And I promise you, they are considering Michelle Obama a possibility.

Back in May 2016, I published an op-ed entitled: Overlooking the Obvious, if Hillary is Indicted? In that editorial, I attempted to alert people in the late spring of that election year to the possibility that —in the event Hillary Clinton was indicted for the felonies she committed in connection with her infamous private email server— Michelle Obama stood an excellent chance of becoming the candidate who would be chosen by the DNC to replace Hillary at their National Convention in July.

In pertinent part, I argued:

“From a progressive point of view, Michelle is a popular, educated, black, liberal female. Translation? She is most probably more appealing to almost all significantly relevant demographic groups than either Biden or Kerry could ever hope to be. Demographics that could foreseeably unite Hillary’s supporters with Bernie’s and, perhaps even lure some “crossovers” back from Trump. As such, would she not provide a clearer path by which her presently fractured party could effectively unite and ultimately defeat Trump? Probably.

“Additionally, Michelle’s anointing would also present significant personal benefits to the Obamas. At minimum, Michelle would present the best of all options for the President [Obama] to protect, if not guarantee, the continuation of his legacy. Surely, if elected, would she not foreseeably continue unabated the advancement of much, if not most, of his present Administration’s liberal Supreme Court, immigration, LGBT, pro-choice and anti-Israel agendas? Almost certainly.”

Of course, none of this transpired in 2016, and for that, I was as glad as I was made later by Hillary’s defeat.

That does not mean that Michelle’s candidacy for the presidency should be dismissed as impossible today, however.

The reality is that those same reasons given in 2016 as to why the Democrats might find her nomination ideal remain as valid today as they were back then, if not more so.

And all that is before one considers the considerable support her candidacy could receive today from:

1.The many people in this country who so single-mindedly desire to see a female elected president in their lifetime regardless of her aptitude or qualifications;

2.The mainstream media that is already wholeheartedly committed to endorsing and promoting anyone who could possibly defeat the current president they so passionately hate; and, needless to say,

Recent approval ratings among potential Democratic 2020 presidential contenders have Michelle Obama at the top of the heap.

Could she be the first former first lady to run the country?

Michelle Obama’s ongoing book tour for her memoir Becoming has kept her on the radar of the American people over the last several weeks.

During the tour, she has been very vocal against the current administration in the White House.

Mrs. Obama has taken shots not only at the president, but also at the current first lady during this tour.

All the while, liberals are eating up every word she has said.

Additionally, the former first lady has been touching on some hot topics that have apparently gotten voters fired up for her to take a run at the White House.

And of all the names on the Democrat wish list, Michelle Obama is probably the most worrisome of all.

Making History
Indeed, Bill and Hillary Clinton tried to make history in more ways than one during the 2016 presidential election: Hillary was running to become not only the first female president but also the second half of the first married couple to both be commander in chief.

But Hillary fell short because people did not trust her.

Voters were also disenfranchised with our political system and wanted someone out of the norm.

But while Michelle Obama was a first lady, she has not held any elected offices, much like Trump when he won in 2016.

She also represents minorities, something that will play well with voters in the next election.

First Lady Turned President?
Additionally, Dems know that Barack Obama’s presidential legacy has been obliterated by this administration.

Who better to put it back in place than his wife, right?

She was one of the most popular first ladies in history, and she would definitely be a formidable opponent for President Trump.

This could also be a way for Democrats to put their wonderboy, Barack Obama, back in the White House.

Every president has a limit of two terms in office.

However, if Michelle Obama were to run, they could add Obama on the ticket as the VP, in essence, giving him at least one more term as president — and that is a very scary thought.

The only question now is: will she run?

Bad news for the 5000 Democrats that think they have a shot at being the next to take on Trump. Michelle Obama is leading the field of Democrat candidates, even if she doesn’t want to be.

In a recent analysis, Legal Insurrection broke down Michelle’s chances, concluding based on the polls:

Among Democrats expected to run, the race is between an aging goofball (Biden) and aging Socialist (Sanders). The Democrat nomination is there for Michelle’s taking, if she wants it.

If Michelle did decide to run, Biden’s support would surely erode swiftly, given that his core base is Obama supporters who would probably prefer Michelle.

The only thing standing between us and another Obama candidacy is how Michelle is feeling about running. That’s a scary thought.

Michelle Obama Takes Lead In Polls

Every year, the pollsters at Gallup put out a list of the “Most Admired Woman” of the year, and for the first time in almost two decades, failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was not at the top of the list, having been replaced by former first lady Michelle Obama.

In fact, Clinton had maintained a hold on the top spot in that annual list for the past 17 years, with Obama coming in as second to Clinton no less than three times.

However, Clinton’s standing in the public eye has been greatly diminished since her 2016 electoral loss to President Donald Trump, most likely due to the fact that she has refused to accept her defeat graciously or step aside to allow others in her party to emerge as future leaders.

As such, the Gallup poll revealed that 15 percent of Americans most admired Obama, while only 4 percent said the same about Clinton, dropping her to a tie for third place with current first lady Melania Trump.

Piers Morgan calls out Michelle Obama for insulting Melania Trump

Former first lady Michelle Obama has sunk to a new low with her jabs at Melania Trump.

Piers Morgan officially called her out for it in an op-ed in the Daily Mail, writing, “Michelle inexplicably decided to plunge the b***** knife into the back of her successor as First Lady, Melania Trump.”

Whatever Sells Books
Michelle Obama has been doing the talk show circuit to promote her new book, “Becoming.”

At virtually every appearance, Michelle seems to talk more about President Donald Trump and his wife than she does about her actual book.

Generally, she keeps her barbs aimed at the president.

However, she has also gone after Melania Trump, a woman who has NEVER said a bad word in return.

Bye, Felicia!
The biggest dig during her appearance with Jimmy Fallon was when Fallon asked her to describe her feelings about the moment they boarded Air Force One for the last time.

Fallon did not even get to finish his question when Michelle yelled out, “Bye Felicia!”

Of course, the crowd and Fallon burst out in laughter, but this could not have been a bigger slap in the face to Melania.

The phrase, “Bye Felicia,” originated in the 1995 movie “Friday” — a girl who annoyingly kept trying to mooch off the others was eventually shooed away with a “Bye Felicia.”

The term as used today now refers to saying goodbye to someone you don’t care about.

As Morgan explained, “It’s specifically designed to cause hurt to the recipient.”

Not Done Yet
To add insult to injury, Michelle Obama also appeared to criticize the traditional gift given to the outgoing First Lady by the incoming First Lady.

When discussing the gift she received from Melania Trump, Michelle crinkled her nose and gave a look of clear disapproval.

The gift was an extremely expensive picture frame from Tiffany’s that probably cost more than most of us make in a month.

Once again, we have someone from the Democrat party that holds herself up as an example, yet she constantly belittles another woman and insults her in front of millions, all for the sake of a few laughs.

Michelle Obama never misses an opportunity to take a jab at President Trump.

During an interview last week, Michelle Obama made a joke about Trump being indicted.

Of course, the liberal crowd absolutely loved it.

The Double Standard
Sometimes, the words that come out of Michelle Obama’s mouth are absolutely stunning.

She actually had the audacity to state there was more scrutiny on her and Barack than there is on Donald Trump.

During her appearance in Detroit last Tuesday, the former First Lady said she and Barack had to be on high alert after Obama was elected president.

Michelle stated, “We can’t make mistakes. We can’t get indicted.”

She gave a little pause for effect, which the crowd caught, giving her both a giggle and a round of applause.

Then she really dropped a bomb.

“There is a difference in standards. We are seeing that right now. We live with double standards all the time,” Obama added.

Really? A double standard?

The only double standard taking place is the fact the press NEVER held Obama or anyone in his administration accountable for their actions.

A Dose of Reality
Remember when Obama shut down the government over his Obamacare?

No big deal, right?

Shut down the government to force through unconstitutional legislation… no problem at all. That is just how Washington operates.

How much outrage has there been over the “Trump shutdown,” as Democrats have taken to calling it?

Because, you know, they have absolutely no role in all of this.

Hillary was let off the hook how many times? And actually defended!
