COVID–19: The Big Pharma players behind UK Government lockdown
Part 2 of 'Who controls the British Government response to Covid–19?'

"To achieve world government, it is necessary to remove from the minds of men their individualism, loyalty to family tradition, national patriotism, and religious dogmas."

In Part One of Who controls the British Government response to Covid–19?, I began an investigation into the individuals and entities that are, effectively, driving the UK Government response to Covid–19. In Part Two, I will expand upon the Big Pharma and Artificial Intelligence (AI) links already identified and will introduce new connections that appear to have considerable bearing upon the UK Government's Covid–19 strategy. I will expand upon the Bill Gates connections to the various organisations that are advocating global immunisation.
The UK Government chief medical adviser and Chief Medical Officer for England, Chris Whitty, is saying that a return to “normal” in the short-term is “wholly unrealistic”. Whitty is telling us that the “highly disruptive” social distancing policy will be in place “for really quite a long period of time”. “Highly disruptive” is a euphemism for the devastation of the world economy and the horrifying knock-on effect — an estimated 50% of the world workforce are at risk of losing their livelihood.

The UK Government has been promoting the concept of “immunity passports” as a means of loosening the draconian lockdown measures. It is very possible that facial recognition technology may dictate who can exit lockdown and return to work. To get a passport, individuals must upload an image of their face to the app along with their ID (passport or driving licence). They are then tested to ascertain if they have had the virus and developed immunity. The app will then generate a QR code, which the employer will use to verify ID and immunity before allowing the employee back to work.

CDC Now Says Coronavirus ‘Does Not Spread Easily’ Through Contaminated Surfaces

CDC Now Says Coronavirus ‘Does Not Spread Easily’ Through Contaminated Surfaces

Experts with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are now saying the coronavirus “does not spread easily” through touching surfaces or objects.
While that doesn’t mean it’s OK to stop cleaning things with disinfectant, it does potentially bode well as states and localities around the country begin the process of reopening following stringent lockdown measures.
On March 28, a CDC guidance stated: “It may be possible that a person can get COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes.” Since then, the government organization has moved “surfaces or objects” to a list of ways in which the virus doesn’t easily spread to people.
Mississippi Church Refused to Close Amid Coronavirus Lockdowns. Then It Was Burned to the Ground.
The agency noted the virus also does not spread easily between animals to humans, or vice versa.
“COVID-19 is a new disease and we are still learning about how it spreads. It may be possible for COVID-19 to spread in other ways, but these are not thought to be the main ways the virus spreads,” the CDC stated.
It did, however, note that the main way the coronavirus spreads is via person-to-person contact, stating the infection “is spreading very easily and sustainably between people.”
The CDC, however, has argued its position hasn’t changed, because it has always stated the importance of cleaning surfaces and has likewise maintained that person-to-person contact is the main way the virus spreads.
What Is It Like to Adopt a Child In the Middle of a Pandemic?
“The fact of the matter is that just because you can detect a virus on a surface doesn’t mean it can actually infect someone,” said Dr. Jen Ashton, chief medical adviser for ABC News. “This latest CDC information is just saying that contact surface transmission [is] not the primary route by which people are getting sick. It’s still through the air via talking, coughing, laughing, singing, sneezing. That’s why those masks or face coverings may be playing such an important role in reducing the spread of this virus.”

WUHAN VIRUS: CORONAVIRUS
Big Tech is shutting this expert down.
NYP: Big Tech companies are aggressively tamping down on COVID-19 “misinformation” — opinions and ideas contrary to official pronouncements.
Dr. Knut M. Wittkowski, former head of biostatistics, epidemiology and research design at Rockefeller University, says YouTube removed a video of him talking about the virus which had racked up more than 1.3 million views.
Wittkowski, 65, is a ferocious critic of the nation’s current steps to fight the coronavirus. He has derided social distancing, saying it only prolongs the virus’ existence and has attacked the current lockdown as mostly unnecessary.
Wittkowski, who holds two doctorates in computer science and medical biometry, believes the coronavirus should be allowed to achieve “herd immunity,” and that short of a vaccine the pandemic will only end after it has sufficiently spread through the population.
“With all respiratory diseases, the only thing that stops the disease is herd immunity. About 80% of the people need to have had contact with the virus, and the majority of them won’t even have recognized that they were infected,” he says in the now-deleted video.
“I was just explaining what we had,” Wittkowski told The Post of the video, saying he had no idea why it was removed. The footage was produced by the British film company Journeyman Pictures.
“They don’t tell you. They just say it violates our community standards. There’s no explanation for what those standards are or what standards it violated.”

‘We could open up again and forget the whole thing’
Epidemiologist Knut Wittkowski on the deadly consequences of lockdown.
By: Spiked, 15th May 2020:
Governments around the world say they are following ‘The Science’ with their draconian measures to stem the spread of the virus. But the science around Covid-19 is bitterly contested. Many experts have serious doubts about the effectiveness of the measures, and argue that our outsized fears of Covid-19 are not justified. Knut Wittkowski is one such expert who has long argued for a change of course. For 20 years, Wittkowski was the head of Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Research Design at The Rockefeller University’s Center for Clinical and Translational Science. spiked spoke to him to find out
spiked: Is Covid-19 dangerous?
Knut Wittkowski: No, unless you have age-related severe comorbidities. So if you are in a nursing home because you cannot live by yourself anymore, then getting infected is dangerous.
We had the other extreme in Switzerland, which was hit pretty hard. There was one child that died. People believed that this child was born in 2011. In fact, it was born in 1911, and that was the only child that died. It was a mere coding error. Somebody with the age 108 was coded as aged eight.
spiked: How far along is the epidemic?
Wittkowski: It is over in China. It is over in South Korea. It is substantially down in most of Europe and down a bit everywhere, even in the UK. The UK and Belarus are latecomers, so you do not see exactly what you are seeing in continental Europe. But everywhere in Europe, the number of cases is substantially declining.
spiked: Have our interventions made much of an impact?
Wittkowski: When the whole thing started, there was one reason given for the lockdown and that was to prevent hospitals from becoming overloaded. There is no indication that hospitals could ever have become overloaded, irrespective of what we did. So we could open up again, and forget the whole thing.
I hope the intervention did not have too much of an impact because it most likely made the situation worse. The intervention was to ‘flatten the curve’. That means that there would be the same number of cases but spread out over a longer period of time, because otherwise the hospitals would not have enough capacity.

Now, as we know, children and young adults do not end up in hospitals. It is only those who are both elderly and have comorbidities that do. Therefore you have to protect the elderly and the nursing homes. The ideal approach would be to simply shut the door of the nursing homes and keep the personnel and the elderly locked in for a certain amount of time, and pay the staff overtime to stay there for 24 hours per day.
How long can you do that for? For three weeks, that is possible. For 18 months, it is not. The flattening of the curve, the prolongation of the epidemic, makes it more difficult to protect the elderly, who are at risk. More of the elderly people become infected, and we have more deaths.
spiked: What are the dangers of lockdown?
Wittkowski: Firstly, we have the direct consequences: suicides, domestic violence and other social consequences leading to death. And then we have people who are too scared to go to the hospitals for other problems like strokes or heart attacks. So people stay away from hospitals because of the Covid fear. And then they die.
spiked: Were hospitals likely to be overrun?
Wittkowski: Germany had 8,000 deaths in a population of 85million. They had 20,000 to 30,000 hospitalisations. In Germany, that is nothing. It does not even show up as a blip in the hospital statistics. In Britain, the highest hospital utilisation was about 60 per cent, if I am not mistaken.
In New York City, it was a bit higher. The Javits Congress Center was turned into a field hospital with 3,000 beds. It treated just 1,000 patients in all. The Navy ship sent to New York by President Trump had 179 patients but it was sent back because it was not needed. New York is the epicenter of the epidemic in the United States, and even here at the epicenter, hospital utilisation was only up a bit. Nothing dramatic. Nothing out of the ordinary. That is what happens during the flu season. People have the flu, and then there are more patients in the hospitals than there otherwise would be.
spiked: Are we on the way to reaching herd immunity?
Wittkowski: All the studies that have been done have shown that we already have at least 25 per cent of the population who are immune. That gives us a nice cushion. If 25 per cent of the population are already immune, we are very quickly getting to the 50 per cent that we need to have what is called herd immunity. We will actually get a bit higher than that. So we have flattened what otherwise would have been a peak, and if we now let it run, even if the number of cases would increase a bit, it would not get as high as it was, because we already have enough immune people in the population. So it is not going to spread as fast as it could have spread in the beginning.
spiked: Should we worry about a second spike?
Wittkowski: This is an invention to justify a policy that politicians are afraid of reversing.
spiked: Should people practice social distancing?
Wittkowski: No.
spiked: Why not?
Wittkowski: Why? What is the justification for that? People need to ask the government for an explanation. The government is restricting freedom. You do not have to ask me for justification. There is no justification. It is the government that has to justify what it is doing. Sorry, but that is how it is.
spiked: How did we get this so wrong?
Wittkowski: Governments did not have an open discussion, including economists, biologists and epidemiologists, to hear different voices. In Britain, it was the voice of one person – Neil Ferguson – who has a history of coming up with projections that are a bit odd. The government did not convene a meeting with people who have different ideas, different projections, to discuss his projection. If it had done that, it could have seen where the fundamental flaw was in the so-called models used by Neil Ferguson. His paper was published eventually, in medRxiv. The assumption was that one per cent of all people who became infected would die. There is no justification anywhere for that.
Let us say the epidemic runs with a basic reproduction rate of around two. Eventually 80 per cent of the population will be immune, because they have been infected at some point in time. Eighty per cent of the British population would be something like 50million. One per cent of them dying is 500,000. That is where Ferguson’s number came from.
But we knew from the very beginning that neither in Wuhan nor in South Korea did one per cent of all people infected die. South Korea has 60million people. It is about the same size as the UK. How many deaths were in South Korea? Did they shut down? No. The South Korean government was extremely proud to have resisted pressure to drop the very basic concepts of democracy.
The epidemic in South Korea was over by March, the number of cases was down by 13 March. In Wuhan they also did not shut down the economy. Wuhan had restricted travel out of the city. They stopped train services and blocked the roads. They did not restrict anything social within the city until very late. We have seen, then, in Wuhan and South Korea, if you do not do anything, the epidemic is over in three weeks.
Knowing that the epidemic would be over in three weeks, and the number of people dying would be minor, just like a normal flu, the governments started shutting down in mid-March. Why? Because somebody pulled it out of his head that one per cent of all infected would die. One could argue that maybe one per cent of all cases would die. But one per cent of all people infected does not make any sense. And we had that evidence by mid-March.
spiked: Just to clarify, cases are different from people infected?
Wittkowski: Cases means people who have symptoms that are serious enough for them to go to a hospital or get treated. Most people have no symptoms at all. But waking up with a sore throat one day is not a case. A case means that someone showed up in a hospital.
spiked: The UK government was also heavily influenced by the situation in Italy. Why did that go so wrong?
Wittkowski: What we saw in Italy was that the virus was hitting those who were both old and had comorbidities, so lots of people died. But the median age of those who died in Italy was around 81 years. It is not that children or working people were dying. It was the elderly in nursing homes – not even the elderly living by themselves mostly. We saw lots of deaths and that scared people. But then, Italy did an illogical thing. It closed schools so that the schoolchildren were isolated and did not get infected and did not become immune. Instead, the virus spread almost exclusively among the old, causing more deaths and a higher utilisation of hospitals. And that is mind-boggling.
Very early on, we knew from China and we knew from South Korea that this is an epidemic that runs its course, and there was nothing special about it. But when it hit Italy, we stopped thinking about it as an age-stratified problem, and instead lumped everyone all together. The idea that if we did not shut down the schools the hospitals would have been overwhelmed does not make any sense. I frankly still cannot fully understand how our governments can be so stupid.
spiked: Governments say they are following the science. Is that really true?
Wittkowski: They have the scientists on their side that depend on government funding. One scientist in Germany just got $500million from the government, because he always says what the government wants to hear.
Scientists are in a very strange situation. They now depend on government funding, which is a trend that has developed over the past 40 years. Before that, when you were a professor at a university, you had your salary and you had your freedom. Now, the university gives you a desk and access to the library. And then you have to ask for government money and write grant applications. If you are known to criticise the government, what does that do to your chance of getting funded? It creates a huge conflict of interest. The people who are speaking out in Germany and Switzerland are all independent of government money because they are retired.
spiked: Did the Swedish scientists get it right?
Wittkowski: Sweden did the right thing. And they had to take a lot of heat for it. Now compare Sweden and the UK. The only difference is that Sweden did fine. They did have a problem. They had a relatively high number of deaths among the nursing homes. They decided to keep society open and they forgot to close nursing homes. Remarkably, the politicians acknowledged that it was a mistake to extend that open concept to nursing homes. The nursing homes should have been isolated to protect the elderly who are at high risk. But I think the Swedish government is doing well to even acknowledge that mistake.
The first death in the United States was in a nursing home in Seattle. And that was by the end of February. So everybody knew that we were expecting the same thing that we had seen in Italy – an epidemic that hits the elderly. But until just this week in New York State, the government told the nursing homes that if they did not take in patients from hospitals, they would lose their funding. So they would have to import the virus from the hospitals.
One third of all deaths in New York State were in nursing homes. One could have prevented 20,000 deaths in the United States by just isolating the nursing homes. After three or four weeks, they could have reopened and everybody would be happy.
That would have been a reasonable strategy. But shutting down schools, driving the economy against the wall – there was no reason for it. The only reason that this nonsense now goes on and on, and people are inventing things like this ‘second wave’, which is going to force us to change society and never live again, is that the politicians are afraid of admitting an error.
spiked: Is this easier to see in hindsight?
Wittkowski: What I am talking about is not hindsight. The epidemics in Wuhan and South Korea were over in mid-March. In March, I submitted a paper to medRxiv, summarising all of that. At least towards the end of March, the data was there, and everybody who wanted to learn from it could.
On 17 April, Robert Redfield, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, presented data at the coronavirus presidential briefing at the White House. And there was one plot that he presented. And I looked at it and asked why people were not jumping to their feet. Why were people not understanding what they were looking at? The plot was the data from the ILINet. For 15 years, hospitals have counted every person who shows up with an influenza-like illness – fever, coughing, whatever. There were three spikes in the 2019-2020 flu season. The first was in late December – influenza B. The next was in late January – an influenza A epidemic. And then there was one that had a peak in hospital visits around 8 March – Covid-19. For the peak to happen on that day, those patients have to go through a seven-day incubation period and then have symptoms. But they do not go to the hospital with the first symptoms. If it gets worse over three days, only then do they go to a hospital.
Four weeks later, on 8 April, the number of new infections was already down. In time for Easter, our governments should have acknowledged they were overly cautious. People would have accepted that. Two weeks’ shutdown would not have been the end of the world. We would not have what we have now – 30million people unemployed in the United States, for example. Companies do not go bankrupt over a two-week period. Two months is a very different story. If you have to pay rent for two months for a restaurant in New York with no income, you will go bankrupt. We see unemployment, we see bankruptcies, we see a lot of money wasted for economic-rescue packages – trillions of dollars in the United States. We see more deaths and illness than we would otherwise have had.
And it is going on and on and on, just because governments are afraid of admitting an error. They are trying to find excuses. They say they have to do things slowly, and that they have ‘avoided 500,000 deaths’ in the UK. But that was an absurd number that had no justification. The person presenting it pretended it was based on a model. It was not a model. It was the number of one per cent of all people infected dying. And nobody was questioning it. And that is the basic problem.
spiked: People will say that the interventions in South Korea – like contact tracing – were more effective.
Wittkowski: How many orders of magnitude, take us from 500,000 to 256, the number of deaths in South Korea? To have that kind of effect you would have to put everybody in the UK into a negative pressure room. It is totally unrealistic to even consider a reduction from 500,000 to 256.

Bobby Kennedy Jr.:
But it does bring up this other subject that you spoke of before, which is that there's this Pentagon study
from January 2020, so this year, and the Pentagon study is actually two years old. The Pentagon was
looking at, because for the interest of military readiness, the Pentagon does a lot of work with infectious
diseases. And it was trying to do experiments to see whether getting the flu shot would help against
coronavirus, and then what it found surprised them, which was actually when you get the flu shot, it
makes you more susceptible to the coronavirus. So it raised the risk of the coronavirus 36% if you had a
previous flu shot. And that study was not about coronavirus 19 but it was coronavirus. It's a red flag.
Bobby Kennedy Jr.:
That study is not alone. We've found, and I've posted these on my Instagram about, at least 10 other
studies that say, "Yeah, if you get the flu vaccine, you're much more likely to get a non-flu respiratory
viral infection." The risk goes up, on some of those studies, about 600%, and on other of those studies,
less than that, 200%, 300%, 400%. But virtually all of these studies that we found show that the flu
vaccine actually makes you more susceptible to coronavirus, and there maybe reasons for that. It's been
speculated that there maybe coronavirus contamination in the flu vaccines.
Dr. Mercola:
Actually Judy believes it's XMRV in the vaccines.
Bobby Kennedy Jr.:
Yeah. That's what I was going to say. It could be the XMRV. It could be coronavirus.
Dr. Mercola:
Yeah, could be.
Bobby Kennedy Jr.:
You're getting that paradoxical immune response because you've been inadvertently inoculated with
the coronavirus when you get the flu vaccine. So we don't know. The observed effect is very well
documented.
Dr. Mercola:
Yeah. It's very interesting correlation and sad to say. Judy believes also that the more serious nature of
the epidemic in Italy was related to the fact that they were culturing their flu vaccines with a much more
virulent strains. It had higher concentration or penetration of the XMRV, which is why they experienced
what they did. That's her contention.
Bobby Kennedy Jr.:
Yeah. I've seen a lot of anecdotal discussion of the fact that the people, the cohorts that seem to be
getting ill are by and large disproportionally cohorts who you would expect to have been vaccinated. So
senior citizens are of the highest vaccination rates for the flu are the ones who are dying. And then
medical workers... In that Northern Italy, there was a... Right before the outbreak of the virus, there was
a mass vaccination for that very, very powerful flu vaccine. And you're starting to see it now in kids in
this country, and unfortunately we are inoculating a lot of kids with flu vaccines in this country.
Bobby Kennedy Jr.:
But it's anecdotal. There's no proof of it because, of course, the CDC could look at that very easily and
they ought to. As you and I know, they never will because they don't want [inaudible 01:02:55].
Dr. Mercola:
The CDC has a private foundation that essentially is a vaccine company.
Bobby Kennedy Jr.:
Yeah. [crosstalk 01:03:04].
Bobby Kennedy Jr.:
On the board of the CDC foundation are the four big vaccine markers, Glaxo, Merck, XO, and Pfizer.
Dr. Mercola:
Yeah. And you did a brilliant exposé of them when you were on RT recently explaining the history and
the connection and how it's all self perpetuating. They're not the ostensibly public health servants that
they appear to be Bobby Kennedy Jr.:
My phone is going crazy now because people are trying to get me.

Okay. All right. Well, thank you for your time. I appreciate the opportunity to connect, and thanks for
everything you're doing.

Oh, thank you so much for having me, and keep swinging out there. You're doing an amazing job. Thank

“94-year-old Jack Holzberg survived the Holocaust and he survived COVID-19. He was at NY Presbyterian Cornell Weil and then spent a follow up week at Care One in Whippany, NJ, where he was discharged yesterday—- they rolled out the red carpet for him!
His granddaughter Erica Wasserman tells Good News Movement, ‘he is like the Mayor because everyone loves him!’ and she said, ‘he personifies strength and grace.’ He is delighted to see his wife of 67 years, his 2 sons, 4 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren after weeks of being apart.”
Remember to Share the Good News
During this pandemic, there has been a lot of darkness. It seems that the world is sharing more bad news than good news. That is why it is so important to share the good news as well. It is important to count our blessings. We may not know this Holocaust survivor personally, but hearing about recoveries like Jack Holzberg’s revives the lost hope that so many have felt. It gives us a bit of light in all the darkness.

Freedom of speech is becoming a COVID-19 casualty in America, especially in the public square of social media platforms like Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter. These privately-owned companies are freely censoring certain information.
Pro-Life Activist: GoFundMe Is Withholding Money Raised for Mothers In Urgent Need
Just look at a recent protest at Michigan’s statehouse over re-opening the state’s government. The demonstration is protected by the First Amendment, but a post encouraging people to participate was silenced by Facebook.
The social media giant reportedly yanking it because the event didn’t urge participants to stay in their cars or wear masks as state guidelines require.
Another case involves a video of a press conference given by two California doctors that went viral.
After testing 5,000 patients for COVID-19, Dr. Dan Erickson and his colleague concluded California’s lockdown policies were creating more damage than the disease in their part of the state.
“Do we need to still shelter in place? Our answer is emphatically no,” Erickson said during the press briefing.
They suggested only the vulnerable should be quarantined while other Californians go back to work using guidelines like social distancing, wearing masks, and avoiding large crowds.
Their video garnered more than five million views before YouTube took it down due to content “that explicitly disputes the efficacy of local health authority recommended guidance on social distancing that may lead others to act against that guidance” according to a company statement offered to local media.
Dr. Erickson tells CBN News his motivation was to simply discuss the trends his office discovered.
Also, the censoring can often feel one-sided since it’s conservative viewpoints that are routinely shut down.
“Many of these social media organizations are frankly acting as if the American people are children – they are our parents who know better and they should censor what we see and write. I have a lot more faith in the American people,” Spakovsky says.
Dr. Erickson says his goal was and remains to be part of the solution of caring for patients and getting healthy Californians back to work.
“Let’s not bicker amongst each other and rip away our communication. Let’s focus on using a rational approach to get Americans working again,” he says.
Prager University sued YouTube for blocking a number of its viral videos. Most recently a federal appeals court in Seattle found YouTube is not a public forum subject to the First Amendment.
I just wanted to say this is what those of us on the front lines are seeing. I know there’s guys in Washington and they’re using predictive models and that’s fine, but I said locally this is what I’m seeing,” he says.

Even though platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter seem like the public squares of our day, they’re not.
“You know, nobody reads the fine print when they sign up and they don’t understand that they’re dealing with a big private company that retains control over its platform,” Hans von Spakovsky with The Heritage Foundation tells CBN News.
In other words, the freedoms Americans have to air their opinions in the real public square don’t always apply here and that’s a problem, especially when it comes to censoring information about the ever-changing pandemic.
“Apparently they’re going by what the World Health Organization is telling them. This is the same World Health Organization of which there’s now substantial evidence based on accusations that they did everything they could to minimize the threat of this virus,” Spakovsky explains.

Tel Aviv’s Ron Huldai and London’s Sadiq Khan have joined dozens of city mayors in warning against a return to “business as usual” should the threat of Covid-19 be vanquished.
The warning was backed by the leaders of 33 of the world’s mega-cities, including Los Angeles, Athens, Barcelona, Seoul, Hong Kong and Buenos Aires.
A statement of principle signed by the group last week pledged “to build a better, more sustainable and fairer society out of the recovery from the COVID-19 crisis.”

Among some of the pledges were promises to address “issues of equity that have been laid bare by the impact of the crisis”, investment in protection against future threats such as climate change, and adherence to public health and scientific expertise.
The signatories, who together represent 750 million people, are part of C40, a network of city leaders working together to combat climate change.
Former New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, board president of the C40 group, said: “This task force is committed to helping city leaders as they work on economic recovery in ways that lead us forward into the future, not back into the past.
“The principles we’ve outlined will guide our efforts to develop a new normal – one that is greener, healthier, and more prosperous for everyone.”

Wuhan lab 'most likely' coronavirus source, U.S. government analysis finds

(Worthy News) - A Wuhan laboratory is the “most likely” source of the COVID-19 outbreak now ravaging the globe, according to a U.S. government analysis that catalogs the evidence and concludes that other explanations for the origin of the coronavirus are less credible.
The document, compiled from open sources and not a finished product, says there is no smoking gun to blame the virus on either the Wuhan Institute of Virology or the Wuhan branch of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, both located in the city where the first outbreaks were reported.
But “there is circumstantial evidence to suggest such may be the case,” the paper says.
“All other possible places of the virus’s origin have been proven to be highly unlikely,” the document concludes. A copy of the report, compiled this month, was obtained by The Washington Times. Bill Gates' plan to fight COVID-19 threatens civil liberties

We all went to bring an end to the pandemic that has hit the world hard. We all want to destroy COVID-19. But is the answer really to take away our civil liberties? Think again.
The Covid-19 pandemic threat is an unprecedented crisis. Laura Ingraham believes that the big issue now is the threat to our civil liberties. Is she right? Bill Gates seems to want a major voluntary big brother operation to allow our cell phones to be the key to solving the pandemic crisis. This may be both an effective and controversial option. Is Laura Ingraham right about her concerns that all of this digital tracking information will do more damage than good?

It is too early to tell if she is fear mongering or if she is properly raising questions about how dangerous this plan is to our civil liberties. One thing can be said about Ingraham’s angle. China is not our ally – whether or not the virus was set up in a lab or was indeed a mistake that emanated from a wet market. China not only brought destruction throughout the world – they clearly cannot be trusted when it comes to information. China clearly knew about the deadly extent of this virus and hid the secret for at least a few weeks, if not a few months. That decision killed tens of thousands of people around the world – if not more. We cannot forget that.
The real question is how to best handle a China that is not our ally. Should they be viewed as an intractable Communist enemy? If so, what is the best way to deal with an enemy? There are no easy answers. China does not seem intent on an expansionist military takeover of the world – at least not now. But China most certainly seems to want to have as much financial control over the manufacture, production, and sale of as many goods in the world economy. And yes, China can manufacture nearly everything for much cheaper prices than any other country because of their vast human resources.
So, who is best equipped to fight this economic battle? Modern history shows that the earlier we recognize the essential truths about our foes, the better our response will be in combating them. Donald Trump may not be the best person to properly judge the essential nature of China. Some of the best people to do this were both hired and fired by President Trump But he may very well be the best person to manage a financial battle or trade war against China. In summation, civil liberties is probably a major issue to keep our eye on. But first and foremost, we need to answer these two questions – Are we or should we be in an economic war against China? Is this the #1 threat to the safety and security of the world?

Coronavirus appears to be causing sudden strokes in adults in their 30’s and 40’s
(CNN) – The new coronavirus appears to be causing sudden strokes in adults in their 30s and 40s who are not otherwise terribly ill, doctors reported Wednesday. They said patients may be unwilling to call 911 because they have heard hospitals are overwhelmed by coronavirus cases.
There’s growing evidence that Covid-19 infection can cause the blood to clot in unusual ways, and stroke would be an expected consequence of that.

Countries already deeply indebted to Beijing through its Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) face increasing economic hardship caused by the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic, the South China Morning Post reported on Tuesday.
China uses the BRI to establish economically predatory infrastructure projects across the globe, expanding its sphere of influence. Chinese loans fund infrastructure projects in over 100 developing nations across Asia, Africa, Europe, and Latin America through the BRI, an initiative estimated to be worth $8 trillion.
According to the Center for Global Development (CGD), 15 out of 68 BRI partner countries face a significant risk of debt distress due to economic challenges caused by the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic.
Many countries around the world have practically shut down their economies in an effort to comply with mandatory government lockdowns meant to curb the spread of the Wuhan coronavirus, significantly disrupting global supply and demand chains. For heavily indebted countries like China’s BRI partners – already struggling before the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic – the looming economic recession may spell disaster.
In Africa, Niger and Angola will likely encounter difficulties. Ecuador, run by pro-China socialists for much of the decade, and Venezuela, rapidly approaching failed state status, are among the more at-risk Latin American countries. The study noted that smaller economies in Asia such as Laos, Cambodia, and the Kyrgyz Republic may also fall deeper into debt.
Experts estimate that developing countries’ “hidden debts” to China totaled $380 billion before the emergence of the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic.
BRI loans often require debtor nations to use specific Chinese contractors and materials for their infrastructure projects, in a practice known as circular lending. These Chinese contractors include Huawei, ZTE, China Harbor Engineering, and China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC). China demands massive amounts of collateral for loans, crafting a “debt trap” for impoverished nations.
In 2017, Sri Lanka handed over a port to China in an effort to pay off its BRI debts. Having defaulted on BRI loans to Chinese firms, the nation formally surrendered the strategic port of Hambantota to China on a 99-year lease, in a deal that threatens Sri Lanka’s sovereignty.
The warning for BRI-member economies comes as Chinese state media recently criticized the U.S. and Europe for wanting to restart their economies amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
“An economic shutdown can be more detrimental to the ruling parties of the U.S. and European countries than the pandemic,” an editorial in the People’s Daily, an official Chinese Communist Party (CCP) newspaper, claimed on Tuesday.
“For the U.S., it is a capitalist country after all, where maintaining economic activities is given higher priority than humanitarianism and is the basic way to keep society running,” the author added.

A report at the Epoch Times on Tuesday said that despite the much-ballyhooed grand reopening of Wuhan, the city at the heart of the coronavirus pandemic, and the confident proclamations of Chinese officials that the virus has been all but exterminated, quarantines are being quietly reimposed on residential compounds as new infections spread.
Thousands flooded out of Wuhan last week by car, rail, and air after officials ceremonially lifted the lockdown order and pronounced the surrounding Hubei province to be coronavirus-free. However, residents of both Hubei and its neighboring provinces surreptitiously told foreign media that they did not trust the Chinese Communist Party’s declarations of victory over the virus.
According to the Epoch Times, the locals are now saying that only travel for work has been approved by the government, contrary to the big show of a mass exodus of happy travelers last week. Residents reported a brutal extrajudicial police force likened to Nazi Germany’s Gestapo still hard at work abusing suspected virus victims and “entire residential compounds … locked down with each new case of infection.”
The official line from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is that no local infections are occurring, but foreign travelers and workers are bringing the coronavirus back to China, notably including Russians and the large African communities in certain Chinese cities. Cases of serious racial discrimination against these foreign populations have been documented.
Another Epoch Times report quoted workers brought to Wuhan to construct its celebrated “instant hospitals,” clinics built in a matter of weeks to handle coronavirus patients at the height of the outbreak. The workers said that instead of being thanked for their heroic efforts, they were paid a pittance, treated like “prisoners,” and herded into quarantine centers when the work was done. They even had to pay for their own coronavirus tests.
When a worker named Zhang Xiongjun and a few of his colleagues returned to Wuhan last week to file grievances with local officials, they were treated even more poorly:
They drove to the provincial petition office located in Wuhan and planned to lodged complaints with government authorities about their compensation. But before they were able to, around two dozen people from the China Construction Third Engineering Bureau surrounded them and ordered them to squat down on the ground.
Zhang said he wasn’t sure how the company caught wind of their plans, but for the next nine hours, they intimidated Zhang and his group, denying them access to meals or water. One person fainted under the scorching sun.
The company pressured them to sign a letter promising to never mention anything about the incident or their involvement in building Leishenshan [the hospital]. Company staff also demanded that they erase any photos or videos from their phones that proved they worked on Leishenshan. They were ordered to leave Wuhan.
Because the group had been to Wuhan, where the outbreak is still severe, no nearby hotels were willing to accommodate them. So they slept in the car.
For days, “we were either chased, turned away, or taken to quarantine,” he wrote. “We are merely refugees now.” They could not find new construction jobs either.
Note that Zhang and his friends were hustled back into quarantine at the very moment when the CCP was telling the world it had the coronavirus on the ropes and the only infections left in all of China were brought from overseas by travelers. Another laborer who traveled to Wuhan for emergency work on coronavirus hospitals said he was kept in quarantine for a full month, then thrown into quarantine for another two weeks when he passed through the city of Shenzhen on his way home.

These oxygen tanks have been converted by the unit to now be deployed above the water – in hospitals across Israel. This has helped alleviate the supply shortage.
Although it is not a complete replacement for respirators, it has helped to affect the supply shortage the pandemic has wrought – especially on Israel’s elderly.

(Worthy News) - Confirmed cases of the new coronavirus reached two million worldwide late Tuesday, prompting several countries to extend lockdowns aimed at stopping the spread of the virus, COVID-19. The lockdowns came amid warnings that the pandemic could lead to the deepest global recession in a lifetime.
With the number of infections in his Asian nation nearing 11000, India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced Tuesday a nationwide lockdown for the country's over 1.3 billion people would run through May 3. His decision added to the misery for at least millions of impoverished workers who already lost their jobs and housing. Health workers said privately there were more infections and deaths in overcrowded slums and on streets than officially admitted.
French President Emmanuel Macron also warned his nation on Monday that France's lockdown would last through May 11 when authorities will begin to reopen schools. In Africa, Nigeria was adding two more weeks to lockdown orders in Lagos, Abuja, and Ogun. Elsewhere, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said a 48-hour weekend lockdown would be repeated this week.
The lockdowns came as the International Monetary Fund (IMF) expressed concerns about the economic impact of the health crisis. IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva said the coronavirus pandemic could lead to the world's worst depression since the 1930s.
Georgieva noted that governments already poured $8 trillion into programs to keep economies afloat. But she said more would be needed. Georgieva warned that developing countries and emerging markets would be the hardest hit.
Partial recovery may be seen in 2021, the IMF chief she added. About 126,000 people have died of COVID-19 worldwide, according to official estimates released Tuesday.

China’s Lies About COVID-19 Deaths Should Scare Us All
By Dovid Mark - March 29, 2020 31239 0
From the beginning of the outbreak of the COVID-19 or coronavirus pandemic, misinformation propagated by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been the norm. Mainstream media has echoed the numbers of dead the regime spread as truth. Wuhan residents are realizing and trying to tell the world we have all been lied to.

In China, it is common to cremate one’s loved ones after they die. Coronavirus would not change that tradition. With the Chinese government trying to restore a sense of normalcy in the beleaguered city of Wuhan and wider Ubey province they delivered the urns of victims of the coronavirus to their family members. There was just one problem.
Instead of a mere few thousand urns, the numbers were way higher than the official body count. Some estimates put it as high as 40,000 or 50,000 and that may only be the beginning if other cities in the wider Ubey region are similar. Lines to receive the urns were hours long raising tensions and emotions.
Why is this so important for the rest of the world?
While everyone understood there was a great tragedy taking place in Wuhan, most people bought into the idea that the Chinese government had it under control. The numbers the Chinese regime released were far less than the annual deaths from flue, so Americans and other Western countries essentially lowered their guard for enough time for the virus to spread exponentially.
This is exactly why big cities in the USA are looking more and more and like Italy or Spain than Israel or Singapore.
Those two weeks where social distancing could have helped and localized quarantines would have made a huge difference never happened. Once again, just like the initial facts of the real outbreak were hidden by the CCP, the numbers they shared with the world were not only false, but given in a way to purposely harm the USA and other Western countries. This was done while guarding the regime from the anger of their own populace.
If the Chinese deaths are really far higher than originally reported that means one can expect huge number of deaths in Western countries.
Now, China insists that its offer of help to other nations is purely altruistic, but most help comes at an economic cost, which usually means a loss of control.
The Chinese regime continues to be a bad actor in regards to the origin and spread of the coronavirus. The numbers of fatalities within China is alarming and means that the entire world, especially the Western world may suffer from wholesale economic collapse under the weight of the devastation. The fact that the CCP lied and continues to lie to the world is not a surprise. The surprise is the continued reverence that the Western media gives the numbers that the Chinese regime shares with the world. This has not only given a pass to a repressive regime, but it has harmed the ability for the healthcare officials to properly convince those in the West to deal with the virus before securing the economy.
Leadership means understanding when one’s enemy is on the move. The CCP view the USA as their main enemy. It should be apparent to most, that COVID-19 could be one stage in the Chinese regime’s planned take over of the world economy and thus the world.

Chinese Citizens Are Telling The Truth About COVID-19 And Being Silenced For It
By Dovid Mark - March 25, 2020 78630 0
While the world reels from the COVID-19 pandemic that began in Wuhan, China, people are only beginning to realize that it was Chinese disinformation in the beginning that caught most governments off-guard.
Send this video of this courageous woman to as many people as possible. The world must know the truth!

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is a ruthless regime bent on defeating America through any means necessary. Although there are 1.4 billion people in China, only 90 million of them are part of the CCP and decide the fate of the other 93 percent of Chinese people.
While many news outlets continue to use the CCP numbers for the coronavirus, it is becoming apparent that they are not to be trusted. Most recently, many main stream news outlets reported a stop in new corona cases in China. The truth was that the CCP just stopped testing.
The CCP has apparently cordoned off Ubey province where Wuhan is and is willing to allow as many of them to die as necessary. The communist regime has ordered others back to work to save the economy. More and more whistleblowers are outing the regime. The challenge is that the world has been intent on letting the regime slide on its human rights abuses because the Western culture and the economy is addicted to cheap Chinese products that have handicapped most fo the world’s ability to break free and chart an independent course – including America.
Can We Make A Difference?
Although more and more Chinese citizens are speaking out against their government’s cruelty, our inability to act and live the type of life free of the need to be drawn into buying products that are cheap regardless of we need them or not has now fed the belly of one of the most ruthless regimes in the world and has enabled them to stay in power, ultimately leading to the spread of COVID-19 around the world.
It should not be lost on anyone that it is this very virus which has now knocked out most of the world’s economy. Perhaps this reset will enable us to finally restart our own cultures in a way which does not lend to needless excess. With this, we can help those Chinese that are being crushed by the CCP to finally break free and take their culture back.
This is why we need real global leadership to encourage and lead us to a different way of looking at the world rather than serving the desires for more and more money and products. Our lives now depend on it.

This is Eli Beer, a man whose life work is well known in Israel and around the world. Eli is the founder of United Hatzaloh, a quick response medical service that has become a household name in Israel. Eli is now hospitalized in Florida with the coronavirus. This is what he has to say in his last video before being sedated into an induced coma. This virus is serious, for people of all ages. Take the regulations seriously. Practice social distancing to keep yourself and others safe!

An update from United Hatzalah’s Chairman of the Board Mark and Erica Gerson
Dear Friend of United Hatzalah,
In the Book of Genesis, Jacob is on a journey to see his brother. An unnamed “man” appears and engages Jacob in a nightlong wrestling match. Jacob is injured but emerges victorious. Still, he tells his opponent, “I will not let you go until you bless me.”
One should always learn, emerge from a struggle with a blessing.
Eli Beer is in a struggle due to a confirmed diagnosis of Covid-19. On Friday evening he was put on a ventilator to assist his breathing. We expect Eli to be sedated for two days to two weeks and expect he will experience a full (if slow and difficult) recovery. We are grateful for the outstanding care Eli is receiving at the hospital in Miami, and for the remarkable support that United Hatzalah supporters are providing for him in Miami.
For all of those who love and admire Eli, we have something profound within our power: we can enable him to emerge from this struggle with a blessing. The attached video, which he apparently made a moment before he was sedated, shows how he would like to be blessed. We can imagine his smile — and indeed joy — if, upon awaking, he sees this page filled with support and supporters.
May God bless you — and Eli and the volunteers of United Hatzalah, who are working nonstop in very difficult and dangerous circumstances to save the lives of their neighbors in need from regular and irregular challenges.

Israel’s Minister of Defense Naftali Bennett has this critical urgent message.

Usually, we think that if we love people then we have to visit them, help them, bring them food etc. These days of the coronavirus have changed all that 180 degrees. Now, because we love and care about people we MUST stay far away from them! Each and every one of us can potentially pass on the coronavirus to others. Hence, we must stay away from everyone and stay home. If you love your parents and grandparents then stay away from them until this coronavirus is contained. The elderly are more susceptible to be affected by the coronavirus, so stay away!
Israel’s First CoronaVirus Death
An 88-year-old Holocaust survivor, Aryeh Even, died at the Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem after being diagnosed with coronavirus. He is the first death in Israel from coronavirus.
Aryeh Even was the 45th confirmed case of coronavirus in Israel. He lived in a Jerusalem nursing home and was likely infected after being near a social worker in the nursing home who contracted the virus from a French tourist.
Even had suffered from multiple and significant preexisting conditions, arrived at the hospital in very serious condition a week ago and was hospitalized in the isolated ward dedicated to coronavirus patients.
“The patient was treated extensively, comprehensively and closely by the staff and underwent CPR during the week as a result of heart failure,” the hospital said on Friday evening. “In the last few hours, his condition had deteriorated and he passed away about an hour ago.”
Israel’s Health Ministry has confirmed that the number of coronavirus cases in Israel are over 800, fifteen of whom are in serious condition.
Considering over 800 Italians just died from the coronavirus today alone, Israel is still in a comparably much better situation.

It should be apparent to most, that COVID-19 could be one stage in the Chinese regime’s planned take over of the world economy and thus the world

A San Francisco-based doctor featured in the Netflix series “Pandemic” claims he has discovered a potential treatment for the novel coronavirus.
Jacob Glanville, a bioengineer and the founder of Distributed Bio, tweeted that he has found a new antibody therapy that works by “blocking the novel coronavirus from infecting human cells.”

“I’m happy to report that my team has successfully taken five antibodies that, back in 2002, were determined to bind and neutralize, block and stop the SARS virus,” he said during an appearance on “Checkpoint,” a Radio New Zealand program. “We’ve evolved them in our laboratory, so now they very vigorously block and stop the SARS-CoV-2 [COVID-19] virus as well.”
Vanderbilt Nurses Pray Over University Medical Center Caring for Coronavirus Patients
Glanville went on to explain that COVID-19 is “a cousin” of SARS, which stands for severe acute respiratory syndrome. And when that epidemic broke out in the early aughts, researchers created “hundreds of millions of versions” of antibodies for the virus. After having “mutated them a bit,” the doctor said, those antibodies can now be used to treat this new coronavirus.
“So now we know they bind on the same spot as the new virus, COVID-19,” he said. “It binds the spot that the virus uses to gain entry into your cells. It blocks that. At this point, we know it binds the same spot extremely tightly with high affinity.”
The bioengineer equated the antibodies to “a short-term vaccine” that “works immediately.” It would give recipients protection for eight to 10 weeks.
Glanville said the therapy could be given to a patient sick with COVID-19, and “within 20 minutes of receiving the shot,” their body would be filled with the helpful antibodies to fight the disease.
‘I Felt the Power of God Hit’: Hospitalized Man with COVID-19 Couldn’t Breathe, Then God ‘Breathed Within Me’
“Those antibodies will surround and stick all over a virus and make it so it’s no longer infectious,” he explained. “You could also give it to a doctor or a nurse or an elderly person and they would then have those antibodies in them that would prevent them from getting infected in the first place.”
The antibodies the California-based doctor has discovered will be sent to U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases, which will begin “testing it for its ability to neutralize the virus,” Glanville told Fox News last month.
He is anticipating a human trial this summer.
At the earliest, Glanville said, the antibody treatment could be released for compassionate use — the occasional Food and Drug Administration allowance for the use of drugs outside of clinical trials — by September.
In “anticipation” of the continued research going well, the doctor said his company should “start scaling up a lot more doses, hundreds of thousands to millions.”

Every single country is in lock-down, except for China. Sure, in the beginning of the virus, they were considered the epicenter and the hardest hit. Yet because of their lies and secrecy, the virus was able to spread globally. Now out of the lock-down they are profiting like mad – how?

Essentially, the Chinese Communist Party allowed the virus to spread through disinformation and subterfuge. While it is clear that they were hit hard, their grueling lock-down in someways got the virus under control. Now, while the world is buckling, they are busy producing all the medical equipment it needs. This is the same equipment they refused to ship out in the beginning.
As Avi Yemini says in the above video, “When this crisis is over, China will be in a better economic position, while we will be struggling to survive. A lot of our companies will be forced to sell their assets to China, who is already waiting to acquire them. China will own the world economy at the end of this unless we do two things immediately.”
What are they? The first is to bring manufacturing back online and the second is to stop all asset sales to China. “We need to do both of these things right now. We cannot afford to wait until the end of this pandemic.”
Yemini is right, but is anyone listening?

8 strains of the coronavirus are circling the globe. Here's what clues they're giving scientists.

SAN FRANCISCO – At least eight strains of the coronavirus are making their way around the globe, creating a trail of death and disease that scientists are tracking by their genetic footprints.
While much is unknown, hidden in the virus's unique microscopic fragments are clues to the origins of its original strain, how it behaves as it mutates and which strains are turning into conflagrations while others are dying out thanks to quarantine measures.
Huddled in once bustling and now almost empty labs, researchers who oversaw dozens of projects are instead focused on one goal: tracking the current strains of the SARS-CoV-2 virus that cause the illness COVID-19.

Labs around the world are turning their sequencing machines, most about the size of a desktop printer, to the task of rapidly sequencing the genomes of virus samples taken from people sick with COVID-19. The information is uploaded to a website called NextStrain.org that shows how the virus is migrating and splitting into similar but new subtypes.
While researchers caution they're only seeing the tip of the iceberg, the tiny differences between the virus strains suggest shelter-in-place orders are working in some areas and that no one strain of the virus is more deadly than another. They also say it does not appear the strains will grow more lethal as they evolve.
“The virus mutates so slowly that the virus strains are fundamentally very similar to each other,” said Charles Chiu, a professor of medicine and infectious disease at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine.

Investigation: How federal health officials mislead states and derailed the best chance at containment.
The SARS-CoV-2 virus first began causing illness in China sometime between mid-November and mid-December. Its genome is made up of about 30,000 base pairs. Humans, by comparison, have more than 3 billion. So far even in the virus's most divergent strains scientists have found only 11 base pair changes.
That makes it easy to spot new lineages as they evolve, said Chiu.
“The outbreaks are trackable. We have the ability to do genomic sequencing almost in real-time to see what strains or lineages are circulating,” he said.
So far, most cases on the U.S. West Coast are linked to a strain first identified in Washington state. It may have come from a man who had been in Wuhan, China, the virus’ epicenter, and returned home on Jan. 15. It is only three mutations away from the original Wuhan strain, according to work done early in the outbreak by Trevor Bedford, a computational biologist at Fred Hutch, a medical research center in Seattle.
On the East Coast there are several strains, including the one from Washington and others that appear to have made their way from China to Europe and then to New York and beyond, Chiu said.

Beware pretty phylogenetic trees
This isn’t the first time scientists have scrambled to do genetic analysis of a virus in the midst of an epidemic. They did it with Ebola, Zika and West Nile, but nobody outside the scientific community paid much attention.
“This is the first time phylogenetic trees have been all over Twitter,” said Kristian Andersen, a professor at Scripps Research, a nonprofit biomedical science research facility in La Jolla, California, speaking of the diagrams that show the evolutionary relationships between different strains of an organism.
The maps are available on NextStrain, an online resource for scientists that uses data from academic, independent and government laboratories all over the world to visually track the genomics of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. It currently represents genetic sequences of strains from 36 countries on six continents.
While the maps are fun, they can also be “a little dangerous” said Andersen. The trees showing the evolution of the virus are complex and it’s difficult even for experts to draw conclusions from them.
“Remember, we’re seeing a very small glimpse into the much larger pandemic. We have half a million described cases right now but maybe 1,000 genomes sequenced. So there are a lot of lineages we’re missing,” he said.
The basics on the coronavirus: What you need to know as the US becomes the new epicenter of COVID-19
Different symptoms, same strains
COVID-19 hits people differently, with some feeling only slightly under the weather for a day, others flat on their backs sick for two weeks and about 15% hospitalized. Currently, an estimated 1% of those infected die. The rate varies greatly by country and experts say it is likely tied to testing rates rather than actual mortality.
Chiu says it appears unlikely the differences are related to people being infected with different strains of the virus.
“The current virus strains are still fundamentally very similar to each other,” he said.
The COVID-19 virus does not mutate very fast. It does so eight to 10 times more slowly than the influenza virus, said Anderson, making its evolution rate similar to other coronaviruses such as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS).
It’s also not expected to spontaneously evolve into a form more deadly than it already is to humans. The SARS-CoV-2 is so good at transmitting itself between human hosts, said Andersen, it is under no evolutionary pressure to evolve.
Shelter in place working in California
Chiu’s analysis shows California’s strict shelter in place efforts appear to be working.
Over half of the 50 SARS-CoV-2 virus genomes his San Francisco-based lab sequenced in the past two weeks are associated with travel from outside the state. Another 30% are associated with health care workers and families of people who have the virus.
“Only 20% are coming from within the community. It’s not circulating widely,” he said.
That’s fantastic news, he said, indicating the virus has not been able to gain a serious foothold because of social distancing.
It's like a wildfire, Chiu said. A few sparks might fly off the fire and land in the grass and start new fires. But if the main fire is doused and its embers stomped out, you can kill off an entire strain. In California, Chiu sees a lot of sparks hitting the ground, most coming from Washington, but they're quickly being put out.

An example was a small cluster of cases in Solano County, northeast of San Francisco. Chiu’s team did a genetic analysis of the virus that infected patients there and found it was most closely related to a strain from China.
At the same time, his lab was sequencing a small cluster of cases in the city of Santa Clara in Silicon Valley. They discovered the patients there had the same strain as those in Solano County. Chiu believes someone in that cluster had contact with a traveler who recently returned from Asia.
“This is probably an example of a spark that began in Santa Clara, may have gone to Solano County but then was halted,” he said.
The virus, he said, can be stopped.
China is an unknown
So far researchers don’t have a lot of information about the genomics of the virus inside China beyond the fact that it first appeared in the city of Wuhan sometime between mid-November and mid-December.
The virus’s initial sequence was published on Jan. 10 by professor Yong-Zhen Zhang at the Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center. But Chiu says scientists don’t know if there was just one strain circulating in China or more.
“It may be that they haven’t sequenced many cases or it may be for political reasons they haven’t been made available,” said Chiu. “It’s difficult to interpret the data because we’re missing all these early strains.”
Researchers in the United Kingdom who sequenced the genomes of viruses found in travelers from Guangdong in south China found those patients’ strains spanned the gamut of strains circulating worldwide.
“That could mean several of the strains we’re seeing outside of China first evolved there from the original strain, or that there are multiple lines of infection. It’s very hard to know,” said Chiu.
There's a new symptom of coronavirus, docs say: Sudden loss of smell or taste
The virus did not come from a lab
While there remain many questions about the trajectory of the COVID-19 disease outbreak, one thing is broadly accepted in the scientific community: The virus was not created in a lab but naturally evolved in an animal host.
SARS-CoV-2’s genomic molecular structure – think the backbone of the virus – is closest to a coronavirus found in bats. Parts of its structure also resemble a virus found in scaly anteaters, according to a paper published earlier this month in the journal Nature Medicine.
Someone manufacturing a virus targeting people would have started with one that attacked humans, wrote National Institutes of Health Director Francis Collins in an editorial that accompanied the paper.
Andersen was lead author on the paper. He said it could have been a one-time occurrence.
“It’s possible it was a single event, from a single animal to a single human,” and spread from there.

Pope Francis cancels second day of engagements after being taken ill as coronavirus sweeps Italy
(ETH) – There are fears among some that Pope Francis may have contracted the coronavirus as it has been reported that he has canceled events for the second day in a row today after falling ill. This comes in the heels of Italy reeling from a worsening coronavirus outbreak which has so infected more than 500 people and caused 17 deaths according to The Sun. https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/11061770/pope-francis-cancels-second-day-engagements-ill-coronavirus/
As of this report, the Vatican has declined to report whether or not the Pope will be tested for the virus. It was reported that the Pope celebrated Mass, as usual, this morning and will go ahead with some private meetings even though yesterday he was too unwell to travel to a mass on the other side of Rome and stayed in the Santa Marta guesthouse where he lives in the Vatican.
According to a spokesman he had a “light indisposition”. The recent concerns for his health had been raised the day before after he was reportedly seen coughing and blowing his nose during an Ash Wednesday service in St Peter’s Basilica, Italy. Many of the faithful Catholics wore face masks, but others chose not to do so as they kissed the Holy Father and shook his hand.

WUHAN'S BIGGEST TEMPORARY HOSPITAL COULD CLOSE IN MARCH
The head of the largest of 16 temporary hospitals in the Chinese city at the center of the coronavirus outbreak says his staff has had a heavy workload but should be able to wrap up operations by the end of this month.
Dr. Zhang Junjian is director of a facility opened in an exhibition center in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei province, on Feb. 7. With a staff of 1,260, it is designed to treat 1,500 to 2,000 patients.
The temporary hospitals were hastily set up in gyms and other locations to handle an overflow of patients and try to stem the spread of the disease by separating them from the rest of the city's 11-million inhabitants.
Zhang, a neurologist at Wuhan University, said the hospital now has 700 patients. About 600 have been released, and another 400 severe cases were transferred to other hospitals.

CHINESE MAN SENTENCED TO DIE FOR MURDERS AT VIRUS ROADBLOCK
A man who fatally stabbed two people guarding a virus-control roadblock in southwestern China was sentenced to death today, a state news agency reported.
Ma Jianguo arrived at the roadblock in Honghe County in Yunnan province on February 6, the Xinhua News Agency reported, citing the Intermediate People's Court of Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture.
But a passenger in Ma's minivan tried to remove the roadblock and a confrontation with the officials ensued, Xinhua said.
The killing was a rare sign of public defiance of sweeping anti-disease controls that suspended access to several major cities and shut down much of China's economy starting in late January.
Authorities are trying to revive commercial activity, but many controls on movement still are in effect, with people checked at road blocks for signs of the disease.

The 41-year-old megachurch minister warned those who watched his video that the symptoms of the fast-spreading illness, known as COVID-19, are “so real,” saying the sickness took him “out.”
“I started feeling so bad,” he said. “The symptoms are so real.”

Soon after he started experiencing some of the symptoms associated with COVID-19 — difficulty breathing, coughing, high fever, and muscle aches — Lentz called his doctor, who ordered a test. The results were positive.
He described the illness as “like a flu, times 50.”
“I still don’t feel like myself,” the pastor continued. “I look forward to getting my energy back.”

The EU’s response to Wuhan Virus is a case history of of what not to do. Oh, and we don’t answer to those open border clowns.
‘THE EU DISAPPROVES’: BRUSSELS ANGRY TRUMP ACTED ON CORONAVIRUS WITHOUT THEIR PERMISSION
The European Commission has said that the European Union “disapproves” of President Donald Trump’s decision to protect his citizens from further foreign exposure to coronavirus by banning entry from most of the bloc’s countries without having consulted with Brussels, first.
By: Breitbart, March 12, 2020:
President Trump announced the 30-day ban on Wednesday which will go into effect on Friday. The ban is limited to mainland Europe, specifically the countries in the visa-free travel area known as the Schengen Zone, like France, Germany, and Sweden.
The UK and Ireland are not affected, as are non-Schengen countries like Croatia and Romania. Non-EU countries on the continent like Serbia and Ukraine are likewise not affected.
The European Commission, the EU’s powerful executive arm, said on Thursday: “The coronavirus is a global crisis, not limited to any continent and it requires cooperation rather than unilateral action.
“The European Union disapproves of the fact that the U.S. decision to impose a travel ban was taken unilaterally and without consultation.
“The European Union is taking strong action to limit the spread of the virus.”
In an effort to show President Trump that Eurocrats were working on a ‘European Solution’ to the outbreak, Commission President Ursula von der Leyen tweeted that same hour as her office released the statement a picture of her and her colleagues sitting around a table “working on responses on all fronts to tackle the coronavirus impact”.
President Trump said the temporary ban is as a result of the EU failing to take “precautions and restrict travel from China and other hotspots” which he said resulted in European travellers to the U.S. triggering infection “clusters” stateside.
The European Commission is not the only EU voice to have expressed offence at the targetted travel ban. A leading figure in the European Parliament, Dacian Cioloş, complained that President Trump was treating Europe as a “scapegoat” and said what is needed is not “nationalism”, but “global solidarity”.
