Egyptian Scholar: Muslim Anti-Semitism Based on Stupidity
A prominent Egyptian author and professor scholar urged Muslims to question their stance towards Jews and Israel in a TV interview.
BY RYAN MAURO Sun, January 26, 2014

A prominent Egyptian scholar named Youssef Ziedan urged Muslims to question their stance towards Jews and Israel in an interview on Egyptian CBC television on December 30.
Ziedan is described as “one of Egypt’s most highly respected scholars on Arabic and Islamic studies.” He is the director of the Manuscript Center and Museum. He is also a university professor and author of over 50 books, including Azazeel, which was published in 15 languages and won the International Prize for Arabic Fiction.
During the reign of the Muslim Brotherhood, Ziedan’s book, “Arabic Theology,” got him in trouble. In February 2013, he was charged with blasphemy because he alleges in the book that Judaism, Christianity and Islam come from a single source.
Ziedan said that Muslims need to think about their current attitudes towards “the Jewish question,” pointing out that there are hadiths adopted from Jewish and Christian traditions. By making that observation, he is arguing that his view is not a violation of Islam as his opponents claim. Ziedan even went so far as to talk about “the so-called Middle East problem, which I do not consider to be a problem at all.” He attributes the conflict to ignorance, “stupidity,” indoctrination and close-mindedness.
“We were indoctrinated at school” and given a “system of ready-made answers,” Ziedan says.
“It has become a common trade, benefiting all our politicians. Any politician who wants to gain popularity curses Israel, but when he comes to power, he has no problem with Israel,” he said.
Ziedan’s statement might be indicative of a larger trend in the Arab world, particularly since the Arab Spring.
There aren’t major signs of a change in overall attitude towards Israel and Jews, but the protests across the region show that the populations are blaming their problems on their leaders instead of outside influences. In each case where there was an uprising, the rulers accused their opponents of playing into the hands of the anti-Islam conspiracy of the Zionists. And in each case, it failed to dissuade the opposition.
The Syrian regime is an example of one government that has played the “Jewish conspiracy” card and has been disappointed by the result.
In 2011, shortly after the Syrian uprising began, Assad and his allies tried to provoke Israel into an armed conflict on Nakba Day, hoping to turn the population’s focus towards an external enemy. It failed. The protests against Assad continued to intensify and there was no outbreak of anti-Western fervor that his regime could capitalize on.
As the revolution escalated and turned into a civil war, the Palestinian population in Syria turned against Assad despite his years of sponsorship of Palestinian terrorism. When the regime tried to remind the Palestinians of his support for their cause, one Palestinian from a refugee camp said, “We will not accept to be a bargaining chip for the Syrian regime.”
The regime deployed Ahmed Jibril, leader of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command to rally support. He called for a united front against Israel and Palestinian protestors threw rocks at him and shouted at him for trying to take advantage of them. Clashes began between the Palestinians that support the Syrian rebels and the PFLP-GC terrorist group.
The point here isn’t that the Arab world (and the broader Muslim world) is having a revolution in their thinking towards Israel, Jews and the West. The point is that they are becoming aware that their rulers are manipulating the Palestinian and anti-Israel cause for political purposes.
This is what Egyptian Armed Forces commander General El-Sisi was talking about when he boldly declared that the Muslim world needs to revise its thinking. Instead of blaming the Muslim world’s troubles on an anti-Islam conspiracy by Zionists, General El-Sisi and Youssef Ziedan are looking inward.
El-Sisi said: “Religious discourse is the greatest battle and challenge facing the Egyptian people, pointing to the need for a new vision and a modern, comprehensive understanding of the religion of Islam—rather than relying on a discourse that has not changed for 800 years.”
Again, negative attitudes towards Jews and Israel won’t change for a long time. The first step is critical thinking and skepticism about anti-Semitic and anti-Western propaganda. And we are seeing that first step, albeit a baby step, being taken now.

Egypt's El-Sisi Boldly Calls For Islamic Reformation
Islam, said El-Sisi needs a modern understanding and should not rely on a discourse that has not changed for 800 years.

General El-Sisi, the commander of the Egyptian Armed Forces and current head of state, is essentially calling for a reformation in Islam. His bold declaration comes as the Egyptian people approved a constitution in a vote that the Muslim Brotherhood boycotted.
The speech, which went unnoticed in the Western media, took place at the Armed Forces’ Department of Moral Affairs. In the speech, El-Sisi said:
“Religious discourse is the greatest battle and challenge facing the Egyptian people, pointing to the need for a new vision and a modern, comprehensive understanding of the religion of Islam—rather than relying on a discourse that has not changed for 800 years.”
Notice what El-Sisi did not say. He did not say Zionism or Western oppression is the greatest threat to Egypt, nor did he point to a specific group like Al-Qaeda or the Muslim Brotherhood. He accurately framed the struggle as an ideological one within Islam.
When he refers to the “discourse that has not changed for 800 years,” he’s referring to when the most qualified Islamic scholars of that time ruled that all questions about interpretation had been settled. The “gates” of ijtihad, the independent interpretation of Islam, ended by the year 1258. He wants the “gates” reopened, allowing for the critical examination that an Islamic reformation needs.
Elsewhere in the speech, Sisi “called on all who follow the true Islam to improve the image of this religion in front of the world, after Islam has been for decades convicted of violence and destruction around the world, due to the crimes falsely committed in the name of Islam.”
This is another important declaration. He attributes Islamic extremism to this lack of discourse. He doesn’t blame it on a Jewish conspiracy to defame Islam or describe it as an overreaction to non-Muslim aggression.
He is also pre-empting the Islamists’ inevitable attack that he is an apostate by stating that Muslims are advancing Islam by having this discourse and turning away from violence. He takes away the argument from extremists that they are the model of a devout Muslim.
The next question is whether El-Sisi has the standing in Muslim opinion to be listened to. For now, the answer is yes. The Egyptian military that he leads has a 70% favorability rating, while the Muslim Brotherhood’s rating is at 34%. He is almost certain to run for president and, at this stage, is likely to win.
When the military toppled President Morsi and El-Sisi announced the suspension of the Islamist-written constitution, he was joined by the Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar University, an institution that is basically the equivalent of the Vatican for Sunni Islam. To date, Al-Azhar has not broken with El-Sisi or condemned his remarks.
Other influential Egyptians may endorse El-Sisi’s view. In January 2011, former Egyptian Islamist Tawfik Hamid reported that 25 Islamic scholars, including teachers from Al-Azhar, said that ijtihad needed to be resumed. The 10 points they listed for renewed examination included the separation of mosque and state, women’s rights, relations with non-Muslims and jihad.
Calls for reform and ijtihad can be heard beneath the visible surface of the Muslim world. In my own experience, I’ve heard many average Muslims endorse reformation but their views are not reflected in the national leadership.
Some of these reformist Muslims want to reopen the “gates” of ijtihad, while others say they never considered them closed to begin with. For example, Tunisian professor Dr. Muhamd El-Haddad, argues, “Daily life has evolved radically since the last millennium, but there has been no accompanying development in mainstream Muslim legal theory.”
Professor Ziauddin Sadar of London wrote in 2002 that that Islamic doctrine is “frozen in time” and there are three doctrinal pillars that need reform: “The elevation of the Shari’ah to the level of the Divine, with the consequent removal of agency from the believers, and the equation of Islam with the State.”
Those that argue that the “gates” were never closed include Malcolm Jardine, who wrote a thoroughly-researched essay on the topic. In 2006, the U.S.-based Nawawi Foundation published a study by Dr. Umar Faruq Abd-Allah with the premise that Islam “never had a doorkeeper to close it in the first place.”
General El-Sisi and the overall backlash against the Islamists may spark what the world needs most: An Islamic reformation. It is not enough to topple Islamists. Their ideological underpinning must be debated and defeated. The determinations of scholars from 800 years can no longer be treated as eternal truth, but for what they really are—opinions influenced by the times in which they were made.

House Reps Press to Release Report Linking Saudis to 9/11
http://www.clarionproject.org/news/house-reps-press-release-report-linking-saudis-911

'The Saudi gov't without question was supporting the hijackers who lived in San Diego…,' former former Sen. Graham who headed the inquiry.

The connection between Saudi Arabia and the September 11 terror attack has been the subject of much debate, particularly the involvement between the hijackers (15 of whom were Saudi nationals) and the Saudi government and royals.

That connection has always been thought to be outlined in 28 pages of a report to the Joint Intelligence Committee Inquiry of the September 11 attack that were redacted when the report was issued (in 2002 under the Bush administration) and remain so today.

However, two members of Congress, who were recently given access to the backed-out section are now pushing President Barack Obama to declassify the pages. Reps. Walter B. Jones (R-N.C.) and Stephen Lynch (D-Mass) have introduced a resolution in Congress urging President Obama to open up the report for public scrutiny.

"I was absolutely shocked by what I read," Jones told the International Business Times. "What was so surprising was that those whom we thought we could trust really disappointed me. I cannot go into it any more than that. I had to sign an oath that what I read had to remain confidential. But the information I read disappointed me greatly."

At the time the report was issues, then-President George W. Bush said the pages were censored for national security reasons. After reading the pages, Jones says he see no reason the pages should be kept from the public.

Although the exact content of the pages is not known, the IBTimes report that multiple sources – from the New York Times to Newsweek, CBS and other media sources – have reported that the redacted pages show that the Saudi government played “at the very least an indirect role in supporting the terrorists responsible for the 9/11 attack.  In addition, these classified pages clarify somewhat the links between the hijackers and at least one Saudi government worker living in San Diego. “

Former Sen. Bob Graham (D-Fla) was head of the Joint Inquiry at the time the report was issued read the redacted pages. Graham says, “The Saudi government without question was supporting the hijackers who lived in San Diego…. You can't have 19 people living in the United States for, in some cases, almost two years, taking flight lessons and other preparations, without someone paying for it. But I think it goes much broader than that. The agencies from CIA and FBI have suppressed that information so American people don't have the facts."

Graham also agrees that opening up the pages to public scrutiny would not violate national security.

“It does not deal with national security per se; it is more about relationships,” Jones said. “The information is critical to our foreign policy moving forward and should thus be available to the American people. If the 9/11 hijackers had outside help – particularly from one or more foreign governments – the press and the public have a right to know what our government has or has not done to bring justice to the perpetrators."

During the Bush administration, 46 senators sent a letter to the president demanding that the pages be declassified. That effort was led by Sen. Charles Schumer (D-NYY). That letter read, in part, “The decision to classify this information sends the wrong message to the American people about our nation's anti-terror effort and makes it seem as if there will be no penalty for foreign abettors of the hijackers. Protecting the Saudi regime by eliminating any public penalty for the support given to terrorists from within its borders would be a mistake.”

Jones and Lynch are now urging all members of the House to read the redacted pages and join them in their effort to bring the information to the public sphere.

Rouhani's Deceptive Tactics to Advance Iranian Nuke
When he was Iran's the nuclear negotiator, he bragged about how skillfully he manipulated the West to advance the program.
BY RYAN MAURO Sun, November 10, 2013

By striking a nuclear deal with the U.S., the Iran’s so-called "moderate" President Rouhani is hoping to take one step back so he can take two steps forward. When he was the nuclear negotiator, he bragged about how he skillfully and deceptively manipulated the West so the program could advance. We’ve already seen the rehearsal for this play.

In a September 2005 speech, Rouhani pointed to Pakistan as an example of how Iran can succeed in forcing the West to accept it as a nuclear power. His proposed strategy had three pillars:

1. Deception: “No, we have not lied … But in some cases, we may not have disclosed information in a timely manner,” Rouhani said.
2. Using diplomacy to prevent the West from having a common front, especially in the United Nations.
3. Advancing Iran’s nuclear capabilities to the point where the West accepts it as irreversible. He said, “If one day we are able to complete the [nuclear] fuel cycle, and the world sees that it has no choice … then the situation will be different.”

There is also video of Rouhani gleaming in an interview as he talks about the tremendous progress his tactics produced. He explicitly states, “We needed time.”

The current engagement with Iran is based on a misinterpretation that Islamists cannot be both pragmatic and radical. In fact, many Islamists have rational strategies in pursuit of goals that the Western mind would see as irrational.

The regime is not trying to obtain nuclear weapons capability as quickly as possible, but as smartly as possible. The Iranian regime is under immense financial stress; stress that threatens both the stability of the regime and the viability of the nuclear program.

Much like a business investment, Rouhani is betting that a freezing or even a rolling back of Iran’s nuclear program will result in profit and long-term growth. Again, it is taking one step back in order to take two steps forward.

Consider what is being offered to Iran. Treasury Department sanctions have already been eased; Democrats in Congress want to delay new sanctions for at least four months at the request of the White House and the Obama Administration is considering rewarding Iran by giving it access to billions of dollars in seized assets.

The U.S. is offering to lighten the sanctions on Iran if the regime agrees to freeze its nuclear program for six months. Rouhani is adamant that uranium enrichment is his country’s right, so it is more likely than not that he’d reject this proposal.

Various media reports indicate that Iran may agree to stop making 20% enriched uranium. Thus far, the Iranians are refusing to convert that stock into material incompatible with making a weapon.

As Robert Zarate, Policy Director of the Foreign Policy Initiative, explains, this stock brings Iran 9/10ths of the way towards having the bomb-grade stock of 90%. It has already jumped over the most time-consuming hurdle. Top nuclear scientists believe Iran would need only one month to make the bomb-grade uranium from an existing stockpile enriched to 20%.

All the reports indicate that the U.S. will allow Iran to continue to enrich uranium to 3.5% for domestic energy purposes. That isn’t much of an improvement. That is still 7/10ths of the way towards having a stock of bomb-grade uranium. Zarate writes that the enrichment of 3.5% uranium to bomb-grade can be completed within 6 to 10 weeks. The Institute for Science and International Security projects it would take 2.2 to 4.5 months.

The overall deal is based on the premise that the U.S. would immediately detect a move towards a bomb. It’s a high-stakes gamble that U.S. intelligence on Iran is timely, complete and credible. Even if that is the case, the U.S. will still be in a rush to mobilize support domestically and internationally to militarily stop Iran at the last moment.

The deal becomes better for Iran and worse for the regime’s enemies with each second that ticks by. The Institute for Science and International Security estimates that Iran’s timeframe for being able to produce bomb-grade uranium will be reduced to one month in mid-2014.

“IAEA [International Atomic Energy Agency] inaction or caution could make an international response all but impossible before Iran has produced enough weapon-grade uranium for one or more nuclear weapon,” the Institute warns.

Remember, the Obama Administration wants to delay new sanctions by four months. Even if the new sanctions happens, Iran will only have to tolerate them for three or four months before achieving nuclear “breakout” capacity; the point where Iran can make a mad dash towards making a nuke.

Then there’s the dilemma of Iran’s plutonium plant. Once it becomes operational in June 2015, it will be able to produce enough fuel for two nuclear bombs every year—in addition to the uranium enrichment program. Iran is resisting French demands that construction be halted as part of the deal.

The plutonium reprocessing route is the same one used by North Korea, Iran’s nuclear-armed ally. The Syrian regime of Bashar Assad also pursued it, resulting in an Israeli airstrike on its nuclear site in 2007.

Let’s suppose Iran gives in to all demands as part of the deal. The regime will still be able to work on its ballistic missile program and construct more overt and covert enrichment sites, centrifuges and other equipment. Meanwhile, the more sensitive work can be done by North Korea.

“Sounds like Obama decided to enter the Persian nuclear bazaar to haggle with the masters of negotiation and has had his head handed to him,” said Mark Dubowitz, executive director of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies.

The U.S. is being misled by Iran’s taqiyya, the doctrine of deception that originates within the Shiite branch of Islam that the regime comes from. President Obama said, “I do believe that there is a basis for a resolution. Iran’s Supreme Leader has issued a fatwa against the development of nuclear weapons.”

The problem with that basis is that there’s not a single piece of evidence that the fatwa even exists beyond Khamenei’s words. Yigal Carmon, president of the Middle East Media Research Institute, points out that a regime-linked website published almost 500 fatwas from Khamenei dating back to 2004 in July. Not a single one relates to nukes.

That means that the fatwa either doesn’t exist or the regime doesn’t want the world to see its text. The only plausible explanation is that an escape clause exists in it that Iran prefers to hide.

The fatwa, if it is real, has to be based on conditions. After all, U.N. inspectors have proof that Iran has worked on nuclear warheads, nuclear triggers, built underground enrichment facilities clearly designed for nuke production and even started work on a potential underground nuclear test site. Iran has also simulated a potential nuclear Electro-Magnetic Pulse strike.

None of these have realistic civilian applications. If the Iranian regime truly believed nuclear weapons are never permissible, it would not invest in weapons-related research that risks sanctions and war.

Remember Rouhani’s smiles in 2005 as he talked about how he led the West on. That’s the same expression he has on his face now.

According to media reports, representatives from Iran and the so-called P5+1 who met in Geneva last week were very close to signing a deal which would ease the economic sanctions on Iran without dismantling Tehran's nuclear military infrastructure -- including its growing stock of highly enriched uranium. With the sides meeting again on Nov. 20, it is crucial that the public understand the extremist ideology of the Iranian regime, their unrelenting quest for nuclear weapons and their use of deceit to advance their goals.

How the Muslim Brotherhood Is Winning in America
Former FBI Agent John Guandolo: 'We're 5 minutes into the 1st quarter of the football game. The MB is winning 72-0.'
BY RYAN MAURO Sun, October 20, 2013
John Guandolo is the author of Raising a Jihadi Generation: Understanding the Muslim Brotherhood Movement in America. He is also the founder of  UnderstandingTheThreat.com.

In 1996, Guandolo left the Marines to join the FBI’s Washington Field Office, focusing mostly on narcotics investigations until 2000. Shortly after the 9/11 attacks, he began an assignment to the Counterterrorism Division.

In 2006, Guandolo created and implemented the FBI’s first Counterterrorism Training/Education Program focusing on the Muslim Brotherhood. He was designated a “Subject Matter Expert” by the FBI and his program was praised by the FBI Executive Assistant Director in a brief to the Vice President’s National Security Staff.

The following is Clarion Project National Security Analyst Ryan Mauro’s interview with John Guandolo:

Ryan Mauro: In your new book, you estimate that about 2,000 non-profits in the U.S. are linked to the Muslim Brotherhood. How did you come up with this estimate?

John Guandolo: First, we must begin by remembering that the Islamic community in America continues to be led by the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) here. The first national Islamic organization in the U.S., the Muslim Students Association (MSA), was created by the Brotherhood in 1962-1963.

When the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development was indicted in November 2001, it was the largest Islamic charity in America, and it was a MB/Hamas entity. Hamas is the MB in Palestine.

In 2004, the FBI raided the residence of a senior Hamas/MB operative, Ismail Elbarasse, in Annandale, Virginia. In his home, the FBI discovered the archives of the Muslim Brotherhood in America. Much of the evidence, as you know, was entered into the U.S. v. HLF trial—the largest terrorism-financing trial ever successfully prosecuted in U.S. history.

Of the many documents, records and other items that were discovered, one was a recording of a senior MB leader—Zeid al-Noman—speaking to a group of Brothers in Missouri in 1981. This tape and the corresponding transcript were entered into evidence at the HLF trial and stipulated to by the defense.

While there are numerous documents discovered that make my point, this recorded discussion is, in my opinion, one of three pivotal finds at the Elbarasse residence. Al-Noman tells the entire story of how the Muslim Brotherhood came to America.

They first settled in Indiana, Michigan and Illinois, which explains why the MB’s largest organization, the Islamic Society of North America, is headquartered in Plainfield, Indiana. It explains why Detroit and Dearborn are points for significant jihadi activity, and why Chicago is the hub for Hamas in the U.S.

The MB set up “Usras” about 150 miles apart across the U.S. An Usra consisted of a few men. Each Usra would grow and establish itself in an area and as Muslims came from overseas, the Muslims already there would incorporate them into what was already going on.

As these small pockets of activity grew, the MB did exactly what their By-Laws said they would do. They established schools, mosques, clinics, shelters and the like to expand their influence in the community. By the early 1980s, nearly all of the Islamic organizations in America were established by the MB. A powerful beginning.

In 1983, the MB established the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) to be the “nucleus” of their movement and, within the year, about 100 “Islamic Societies” were established across the U.S. In 1991, the Brotherhood published an "Explanatory Memorandum"—the strategic plan for North America. Following that, they approved and published the “Implementation Manual” which put into action the strategic plan.

When you track the number of Islamic non-profits created against the years in which they were created, there is a direct correlation between the MB strategic actions and the creation of Islamic non-profits.

Prior to 1983, very few Islamic non-profits were created except those that were created by the MB. In 1983, there is a spike of about 100, all of which are subsidiaries of ISNA. In 1992, after the publication of the strategic plan and Implementation Manual, there is a large spike in the creation of Islamic non-profits that never comes down again.

From that time to today, between 60 and 120 Islamic non-profits are created each year. A large number of those organizations match the organizations that the MB said it would create.

Here is an easy snapshop: There are over 2,100 Islamic Centers in the U.S. today. From investigation and research, we know a large portion of them are controlled by the MB. Through land ownership by the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT)—the bank for the MB—or through known MB leaders at these Centers, we know that a large percentage of the Islamic Centers belong to MB.

Today, there are over 600 MSAs on nearly every college and university campus. There are over 320 Islamic Societies and several hundred chapters of the Muslim American Society (MAS), the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the Muslim Communities Associations, Islamic Teaching Centers and professional organizations like Association of Muslim Scientists and Engineers and Association of Muslim Social Scientists.

You see, “2,000” is an extremely conservative number.

Mauro: How much decentralization is there in the American Islamist networks? For example, could a CAIR or MAS chapter leader be a non-Islamist who agrees with the groups’ humanitarian and political work?

Guandolo: No. While there are people employed by these organizations who have varying levels of enthusiasm for the MB movement, the leadership of all of these organizations does not suffer from that problem.

Colleagues of mine have worked/studied at various military institutions, the National War College for instance. On several occasions, officers from Islamic countries have remarked on the significant and overtly-noticeable control the MB has here in the U.S. over the Muslim community.

The State Department has a program where they pay for imams to fly from overseas to the U.S. to meet with “Islamic leaders” here—almost all of whom are MB. One imam from Indonesia who is not supportive of the MB movement reported back to the U.S. Ambassador that this program should be shut down because the U.S. government, in this imam’s opinion, was paying for jihadis overseas to meet with jihadis here in America that have “control” over the Islamic community.

In my professional opinion, this aspect of the threat cannot be overstated. Prominent Muslim Dr. Zuhdi Jasser commented a few years ago that the MB controlled the access to the Iftar dinners at the White House and kept him out for several years.

Mauro: Is it possible that the Brotherhood-linked groups have evolved and become moderate over time? Some of their officials have admitted that Brotherhood ideologues set them up, but claim that they have since gone their own way.

Guandolo: This is utter rubbish. There is not one shred of evidence that they have slowed down their movement at all. All of the evidence points to a rapid acceleration of their plans. The influence of easily identifiable MB leaders inside our national security apparatus is evidence enough of their massive influence.

Men like Sayyid Syeed, Muzammil Siddiqi, Ishan Bagby, Mohammed al-Hanooti, Iqbal Unus, Ahmad Totonji, Hisham al-Talib, Yaqub Mirza and the children of the first-generation MB leaders (e.g. Suhail Khan and Zainab Alwani) are all heavily involved in the most prominent Islamic organizations in North America.

The U.S. Muslim Brotherhood is more powerful today than it has ever been.

Mauro: There is a quote in your book that I took note of. It’s from Islamist scholar Shamim Siddiqi in 1989. He said, “The revolutionary aspect of Islam is rarely brought before the new converts.” Can you explain what this means?

Guandolo: There is actually a lot of meat behind this. In short, he explains that non-Muslims are brought to Islam without being told of the obligation to wage jihad. They only need to be told enough to say the Shahada with reverence and they become a Muslim. Over time, all of the teachings are given to the individual.

The concept of “abrogation” or “progressive revelation” needs to be understood. The prophet Mohammed had 23 years to bring the world of Jahaliyyah (gross ignorance and unbelief) to Islam. For 13 years in Mecca, he moved slowly. According to Islamic sources, in the first six or seven years, only a handful of people converted to Islam.

In the entire first 13 years, approximately 200 people converted to Islam. During this time, there was no mention of jihad. When Mohammed made the trip (hijrah) to Medina, he became a political leader and a military commander. We first see defensive jihad, then offensive jihad for a limited number of reasons.

There is no disagreement among Islamic scholars that jihad is obligatory for all Muslims until the entire world is subordinated to Islamic law (sharia). 100% of published Islamic law says this.

So, when Shamim Siddiqi says the revolutionary aspect of Islam is not explained to the new convert, he is simply restating doctrine.

Mauro: In June 2011, you gave a presentation about the MB to over 100 national security professionals. An FBI counterterrorism supervisor said that he had never heard the information you provided. No one else did either, except those that took your class.

Why are most national security personnel unaware?

Guandolo: The MB is doing their jobs well. The enemy in the war we are fighting clearly state they are Muslims fighting jihad in the Cause of Allah in order to impose sharia on the world. Period.

We need to take the enemy at their word and then begin assessing the threat from there. This would necessarily require us to look at sharia Law. If we did, we would see that Al-Qaeda is not “perverting” sharia. They are accurately citing it.

We have MB figures advising our senior leaders that there isn’t really any sharia that is written down. I always respond to the first comment by asking the person to show me just one book of sharia Law that says what he is telling me it says. So far, no takers.

This is because the mysterious “other version” of sharia does not exist. Those that say sharia isn’t written down only need to go to Amazon.com, type in “Islamic Law,” and order 10 or 20 books. Most are in English by the way, because many of the largest Islamic countries in the world were once under British rule and the legal language was English.

Having said all that, I am still amazed at how this enemy has truly rendered our national security apparatus witless and unable to identify and name our enemy twelve years after 9/11. All of this is the intentional outcome of the MB’s 50+ year movement here.

Mauro: Do you believe the Islamists are capable of taking over the U.S. or soon will be? If not, then what is the threat this network poses?

Guandolo: It is clear they believe they have already won. They are waiting for the game clock to run out. Part of the problem in getting Americans to see the imminent threat is that they, like the U.S. security services, are completely focused on the kinetic stuff—bombings, shootings, etc. We need to worry about these, but it isn’t how they intend to defeat us.

The MB strategic plan says they are waging “Civilization Jihad” to destroy our civilization and that they will use our leaders to do their work for them (“by their hands and the hands of the believers”). When the U.S. wrote constitutions in Iraq and Afghanistan imposing sharia and created two Islamic Republics; that is civilization jihad by our hands.

When the MB launches a revolution, overthrows numerous governments and kills scores of people, our government calls it a “freedom movement” organized by “students on Twitter” and then proceeds to financially and materially support the MB in Egypt, and then Al-Qaeda/MB in Libya and Syria. That is “civilization jihad” by our hands.

When the Hamas and MB entities in America tell the White House they are “offended” over training about this movement and its doctrinal basis in sharia law and that training is shut down and replaced by training from MB organizations, that is “civilization jihad” by our hands.

I could go on, but I think your readers will get the point. As I see it, we’re five minutes into the first quarter of the football game. The MB is out on the field and they are winning 72-0. We are on the sidelines in baseball outfits wondering what inning it is.

The MB has a strategic plan and an operational plan to implement it. They are well-organized, well-funded and disciplined. They have thousands of organizations working daily to overthrow our governmental system and erode our society of the basic founding principles.

We cannot even speak about the threat for fear of offending our MB and Hamas advisers. Who do you think is going to win this war if it continues this way?

Iran: 'Blood-Sucking U.S.' Behind Attack on Our Border Guards
Iran says U.S. is running a proxy war against it using Sunni jihadists, citing the attack that killed 14 guards on its border with Pakistan.
Mon, October 28, 2013

In response to a Sunni terrorist attack that killed 14 Iranian guards on the Iranian-Pakistani border, Iran’s Basij organization said in a written statement, “One more time the blood-sucking U.S. regime’s [hands] were with the takfiri [infidel] terrorists and spilled the blood of innocent and devoted border guards of Iran. Without a doubt this inhumane crime, which is evidence of the dishonesty of the arrogant regime, will not go unanswered, and the agents and those who carried this out will receive justice.”

The Basij is a paramilitary militia that takes its orders from the Iranian Revolutionary Guards. The statement comes amid overtures by the Obama administration to ease U.S. and global sanctions on Iran in exchange for transparency regarding the regime’s nuclear program and aspirations.

The Basij’s statement further excoriated America and Israel for the “appearance speaking of peace and friendship, but in action do[ing] nothing but spilling blood, oppressing and torturing.”

The “Army of Justice,” a relatively new Sunni jihadist group, took responsibility for the attack, which took place last Friday in the Sistan-Balochistan province of Iran. The province is home to many Sunnis and has historically been the site of much unrest and violence.

In response to the attack, the chief prosecutor of the Sistan-Balochistan province hanged 16 prisoners who had been previously convicted and were waiting on death row for their sentences to be carried out. According to the Iranian Mashregh News, eight of those hanged belonged to the Sunni terrorist group Jundullah. The other eight had been convicted on drug charges.

This statement by the Basij follows a history of Iranian accusations of American running a proxy war against Iran through Sunni jihadists. As proof of their accusations, Iran points to a confession obtained by Jundullah head Abdolmalek Rigi before he was executed by Iran in 2010. In the confession, which was aired on Iranian TV, Rigi spoke about his contact with Americans.

Muslim 'Street Patrol' Brutally Attacks Florida Student in London
The patrols began appearing on London’s streets in 2011 to enforce sharia law countries. The student's offense: drinking a beer.
Sun, October 27, 2013
Footage from the attack on a Florida student by a London Muslim patrol.
A student from Florida was brutally beaten by a Muslim gang in London. The gang was part of a self-appointed street patrol enforcing sharia (Islamic) law in London. The “crime” of the student, an American citizen who was in England to advance his studies, was drinking a beer.

The patrols, who began appearing on London’s streets in 2011, are followers of radical Islamic preacher Anjem Choudary, whose goal is to enforce sharia law even in non-Muslim countries.

The Clarion Project’s National Security Analyst Ryan Mauro discussed this case and the larger phenomenon of the Muslim patrols with Fox news’s Megan Kelly on “The Kelly File.”  On the show, Mauro also discussed the radical Islamic group Jamaat ul-Fuqra which has large communes all around the U.S. where member are trained in guerrilla warfare. A video of women receiving such training at the group’s "Islamberg" headquarters in New York is shown below.

Warning: The following video contains graphic and disturbing footage of the attack in London captured by security cameras.

Senior Homeland Security Advisor: America is an “Islamic Country”
Mohamed Elibiary, a senior Dept. of Homeland Security advisor, tweeted that America is "an Islamic country."
BY RYAN MAURO Thu, October 31, 2013

A senior advisor to the Department of Homeland Security, Mohamed Elibiary, says that America is “an Islamic country” and continues to argue that the Muslim Brotherhood is comparable to Christian evangelicals.

Elibiary is a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council and was promoted in September. He also served on the Department of Homeland Security’s Countering Violent Extremism Working Group and the Faith-based Security and Communications Advisory Committee.

He is also a long-time Texas Republican Party official and was a delegate for Senator John McCain in 2008.

On October 31, Elibiary tweeted that he believes the U.S. “is an Islamic country.” You can see the screenshot below:
See PAGE
http://www.clarionproject.org/analysis/senior-homeland-security-advisor-america-islamic-country
The tweet was part of a conversation about whether Islam and the U.S. are compatible. Elibiary argued that America has an “Islamically compliant constitution.”

He also reiterated his view that the Muslim Brotherhood is comparable to Christian evangelicals and that not all Islamists should be lumped in with jihadists and terrorists.
On October 30, the Clarion Project reported that Elibiary had tweeted that former Egyptian President and Brotherhood ideologue Mohamed Morsi "is Egypt's Mandela" and that the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood is not a security concern.

Clarion also contributed to a 37-page report about Elibiary largely based on a lengthy interview with him. We have summarized the 15 most disturbing facts from the report.

One shocking finding is that Elibiary has been close friends with Shukri Abu Baker, the CEO of the Holy Land Foundation, since the age of 16. The Foundation was a U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entity that was shut down by the U.S. government in 2001. Abu Baker was convicted of financing the terrorist organization Hamas.

Elibiary opposes the prosecution of Abu Baker and the Holy Land Foundation and said that he has helped “safeguard” other Muslim Brotherhood-linked organizations that faced possible prosecution.

Remarkably, not a single mainstream media outlet has covered this story. Few members of Congress have raised the matter. It’s up to American citizens to educate them. We encourage readers to send this article and our 15 disturbing facts about Elibiary to their congressmen and to share it on Facebook and Twitter.

Ohio School Forced to Stop Showing Video Promoting Islam
After being threatened with a lawsuit, an Ohio school district agreed to remove a video that promoted Islam to seventh graders.
Mon, September 30, 2013
After being threatened with a lawsuit, an Ohio school district agreed to remove a video about Islam from a seventh grade world history curriculum that was challenged as falling under the category of proselytizing and favoring one religion over another (a violation of the Constitution’s Establishment Clause).

The video, “30 Days: Muslim and America,” features a Christian, “Dave,” who agrees to totally immerse himself in Islam for a month by living with a Muslim family in Dearborn, Michigan. The video follows Dave as he dresses, eats and prays like a Muslim; and studies the Koran daily, among other Muslim activities.

The video proceeds to show Dave learning the Muslim prayers (and features a fact sheet “How to Pray in Islam”), reciting Muslim dogma such as “I testify that there is no God other than the Almighty” and “I testify that Mohammad is the messenger of God.”

Viewers of the video are also instructed that if they hear someone say something wrong about Islam, it is their responsibility to fix it.

Surprisingly, the video was being shown to students as part of the Ohio seventh grade "Social Studies Standards Expectations for Learning" which requires students to “describe achievements by the Islamic civilization and how these achievements were introduced into Western Europe in the time period between 750 BC – 1600AD.”

Critics of the video say that the video “Muslims and America,” was clearly irrelevant to the course description. Further they contended that the video portrayed non-Muslims as “uneducated bigots and Muslims as persecuted victims.”

Jenny McKeigue, a mother of three children in the school district, who challenged the school district for showing the video, became concerned about the curriculum in 2011 when her son (then in seventh grade) was required to memorize the “Five Pillars of Islam.” (That requirement was later discontinued.)

After finding out about the video, McKeigue asked that the video be discontinued on the grounds that it was inaccurate, not relevant to teaching the history of Islam and violated a number of the school board’s policies of not promoting religion in the classroom and the fair representation of all ethnic and religious groups.

McKeigue also pointed out that no other video was shown nor instruction given demonstrating how to perform the religious exercises of other religions.

All of McKeigue’s requests were denied.

Over the next year and a half, the school district refused all of McKeigue's requests for more information about the course – including being able to look at the class syllabus. McKeigue turned to the superintendent and the eventually turned to the school board until she eventually sought legal counsel who filed a series of requests for public records concerning the video on behalf of McKeigue

In response to McKeigue’s criticism, the school district asked local pastors to review the video. A number of the pastors agreed with McKeigue that the video was inaccurate and inappropriate.  However, the superintendent at the time, Dr. Todd Hoadley, dismissed their concerns as well.

According to McKeigue's legal council, at a March 2013 Board meeting, and in private conversations, Hoadley “defended the video with the astonishing argument that the inaccuracies of the video proved its value.”

About the case, Richard Thompson, president and chief counsel of the law center commented, “Teachers may not constitutionally show video tapes that violate the neutrality they must maintain toward religion or that engages in religious instruction.
“Showing “Muslims and America” violated those principles and the Establishment Clause of our Constitution.  Under the guise of teaching the history of Islam to seventh graders, history teachers were proselytizing students to the Islamic faith.  Although I applaud the school district for resolving this issue without litigation, I was disappointed to discover internal communications from one history teacher ridiculing and disparaging Mrs. McKeigue, and even suggesting she should be fired from her part time job as alumni director for the school because of her criticism of the video.”

Thompson further said, “Teachers may provide instruction about a particular religion, but they are not constitutionally permitted to provide religious instruction … Mrs. McKeigue was exercising her constitutional right to free speech in fulfilling her crucial duty and responsibility as a parent.”

THE CLARION PROJECT
U.S. Taxpayers to Pay for Spread of Turkish, Qatar Islamism
Millions of American taxpayer dollars will be spent promoting the Muslim Brotherhood's band of Islamism to counter Al-Qaeda.
BY RYAN MAURO Thu, October 3, 2013
Millions of American taxpayer dollars will be spent promoting the Muslim Brotherhood brand of Islamism to counter the Al-Qaeda brand of Islamism. The U.S. is teaming up with the Islamism-promoting governments of Turkey and Qatar to try to influence Muslim youth in a more positive direction.

The U.S. and the Islamist government of Turkey have announced a $200 million fund for programs that will supposedly promote non-violence among Muslims in terrorist hotspots like Pakistan, Somalia and Yemen.

The total is to be raised over 10 years, with the U.S. provided $2-3 million (at first), along with Turkey, Canada, various European countries and “private sources.” The only other Muslim country mentioned as a partner besides Turkey is Qatar.

As the sole Muslim participants in the fund, Turkey and Qatar will be the ones crafting the Islamic message against Al-Qaeda.

The fund, called the Global Fund for Community Engagement and Resilience, will bolster local programs like vocational training, social networks and new school curriculums.

The thinking behind this fund is the same flawed thinking that upholds the Muslim Brotherhood as the moderate, democratic, non-violent alternative to Al-Qaeda. This logic was articulated by Director of National Intelligence James Clapper in testimony on January 31, 2012—testimony that came after his previous embarrassingly inaccurate explanation of the Brotherhood:

“Al-Qaeda probably will find it difficult to compete for local support with groups like the Muslim Brotherhood that participate in the political process, provide social services and advocate religious values. Non-violent, pro-democracy demonstrations challenge Al-Qaeda’s violent jihadist ideology and might yield increased political power for secular or moderate Islamist parties.”

If you believe that the Brotherhood’s Political Islam is the solution to Al-Qaeda’s Political Islam (as does the Obama administration), then your natural ideological allies would be Turkey and Qatar.

The tiny Gulf nation of Qatar is subsidizing the Muslim Brotherhood and acts like a bank for the Islamist cause. Al-Jazeera is based there, as is the Muslim Brotherhood’s spiritual leader Yousef al-Qaradawi.

Turkey’s Prime Minister Erdogan was dubbed the "King of the Islamists" in a Clarion Project analysis in March. His government sided with the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and he says Hamas isn’t a terrorist group. Erdogan has been implementing Sharia law in Turkey incrementally using the Islamist doctrine of "gradualism."

A backlash against the Sharia agenda of Erdogan contributed to the huge protests Erdogan faced over the summer. The protests are ongoing, but are not being covered by the Western media.

Turkey’s neo-Ottoman ideology is promoted even in the U.S. through the Fethullah Gulen charter school network, the Turkish government’s embrace of Native American tribes, and Turkey’s direct involvement in the construction of Ottoman-themed mosques, like the $100 million mega-mosque being built in Maryland.

Instead of making alliances with Turkey and Qatar, the U.S. should instead look to Muslim leaders like Jordanian King Abdullah II, an adversary of the Muslim Brotherhood. He has marginalized the Brotherhood opposition that threatened his reign by embracing liberal critics.

We should listen to what King Abdullah had to say about Turkey under Erdogan. He pointed out that Erdogan “once said that democracy for him is a bus ride. 'Once I get to my stop, I'm getting off'."

Abdullah was referring to a statement Erdogan made in the 1990s before he took power. He said democracy is “a train that takes you to your destination, and then you get off.”

Jordan’s King has also said that style and patience is the only difference between Erdogan and former Egyptian President Morsi, who was overthrown in an anti-Muslim Brotherhood revolution. He said, "Instead of the Turkish model -- taking six or seven years being an Erdogan --- Morsi wanted to do it overnight.”

Unfortunately, America’s strategy will either create more Al-Qaeda recruits by expanding the overall Islamist following, or -- if it works as intended -- will hurt Al-Qaeda but strengthen the other Islamist movements.

No wonder Muslim Brotherhood’s supporters are happy about it.

Iraq: 52 Massacred in Camp for Iranian Opposition Group
The group charges that Iraqi forces entered Ashraf, killed 52 of its members and set fire to the group's property and goods.
Sun, September 8, 2013
A UN team visited a camp housing Iranian exiles north of the Iraqi capital as investigators tried to establish who massacred 52 members of the anti-Tehran group. The slaughtering of the members of the People's Mujahedeen Organization of Iran (PMOI), which was confirmed by a senior Iraqi security officer, was met with international condemnation.

The UN and Western governments have been careful not to assign blame amid wildly conflicting reports.

Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki set up an inquiry in the aftermath of the deaths, with findings due in the coming days, and a UN team visited the camp in Diyala province near the border with Iran to try to establish what happened.

"This morning, we entered Ashraf and found 52 bodies in one place," a senior police officer who was part of the Iraqi premier's investigating committee told the BBC.

The officer, who did not want to be identified discussing the inquiry, said investigators found a "huge amount of TNT and explosive materiel inside cars, houses and heavy machinery."

He said 42 members of the PMOI were still alive, but accused them of not cooperating with investigators by refusing to hand over corpses and moving bodies from their original locations. He claimed the deaths were probably caused by infighting within Ashraf.

His account is sharply contested by the PMOI, however, which charges that Iraqi forces entered Ashraf, killed 52 of its members and set fire to the group's property and goods.

The Iranian opposition group said Iraqi forces had carried out a "massacre" and the group's members at Liberty, another camp near Baghdad, began a hunger strike, a spokesman said.

Around 3,000 Mujahideen-e Khalq (MEK) members were moved from Ashraf last year to Camp Liberty, on a former US military base on the outskirts of Baghdad, but about 100 stayed on at the old camp to deal with remaining property and goods.

Former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein allowed the rebel MEK to set up the camp during his war with Iran in the 1980s.

The MEK was founded in the 1960s to oppose the shah of Iran, and after the 1979 Islamic revolution that ousted him it took up arms against Iran's clerical rulers.

It says it has now laid down its arms and is working to overthrow the Islamic regime in Iran by peaceful means.

"The residents will continue their hunger strike until the full cessation of killings in Ashraf and the release of all hostages, and until the resolution of the issue of security for the residents of Ashraf and Liberty," a PMOI statement said.

Iraqi officials insisted that no soldiers entered Ashraf, and said explosions were triggered by mortar fire or the detonation of a barrel of oil or gas.

The UN team that visited the camp was due back in Baghdad later on Monday, but mission spokeswoman Eliana Nabaa said no further information was likely to be released until later in the week.

"The only thing we can confirm is there are a lot of casualties,'' Eliana Nabaa, a spokeswoman for the UN mission to Iraq said.

The violence was condemned by the UN's refugee agency, which is charged with relocating the group's members outside Iraq, and the US State Department, but neither assigned blame for the unrest.

London-based Amnesty International, meanwhile, noted that the events were "disputed," and called for an impartial inquiry.

"The authorities must ensure that an inquiry into yesterday's (Sunday's) violence is promptly carried out and that it is independent, transparent and in full conformity with international standards," it said.

Al Qaeda's Most Wanted Terrorist in Iraq - Cunning & Dangerous
AL QAEDA'S MOST WANTED TERRORIST IN IRAQ - CUNNING & DANGEROUS
An Iraqi general said the terrorist who brazenly killed the Syrian truck drivers is one of the most dangerous Al Qaeda figures alive today. Famous for his cruelty and targeted attacks on Shiites, Al Qaeda’s former leader in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, served in that position until he was killed in a US air strike in 2006.
Now, seven years after his death, terror in the country has a new face, that of 27-year-old Iraqi Shaker Wahiyib al-Fahdawi.
Fahdawi rose to notoriety after a video recently emerged depicting the July 2 execution of three Syrian truck drivers on a highway in western Iraq. In the footage, Fahdawi is seen with his face unmasked as he interrogates the three men about their religious background. Once the drivers are identified as Alawites, a branch of Shiite Islam, they are made to kneel down and are shot at close range.   More  http://www.clarionproject.org/news/al-qaedas-new-bare-face-iraq

NYPD DESIGNATES CERTAIN MOSQUES AS TERRORIST ENTERPRISES
Even though they are legal, the ACLU and Muslim organizations are outraged by the NYPD's counter-terrorism efforts. The New York Police Department has labeled certain mosques as terrorist organizations, allowing police to keep an eye on worshipers and imams who might be involved in terrorist activity.
Since the September 11, 2001 attacks, the NYPD has opened at least a dozen "terrorism enterprise investigations" (TEIs) as part of an initiative to help police infiltrate and investigate secret terrorist cells.
Information about the TEIs were revealed by Associated Press after the news organization recently saw a number of documents on the subject. The TEIs are also part of a new book, "Enemies within: inside the NYPD’s Secret Spying Unit and Bin Laden’s Final Plot Against America," by AP reporters Matt Apuzzo and Adam Goldman, as well as interviews with current and former NYPD, FBI and CIA officials.

CHRIS CHRISTIE BENT ON INCLUDING ISLAMISTS IN SECURITY FORUMS
The top tier of NJ law enforcement continues to meet and consult with extremists even though Gov. Christie knows their ideology. Almost 10 months after the Clarion Project originally made public its discovery that four Islamists are members of N.J. Governor Chris Christie’s Muslim Outreach committee, the Clarion Project has obtained documents obtained from the Office of the Attorney General that the four radicals continue to participate in this sensitive forum.
In addition, a fifth committee member with a faulty background has since been identified. Christie also appointed the Attorney General who oversees the committee as the interim Senator after the death of Senator Lautenberg.
On November 15, 2012, Clarion released the names and backgrounds of four committee members, including a Hamas-linked imam named Mohammad Qatanani whose deportation is sought by the Department of Homeland Security. Christie has long defended the imam, describing him as a friend in July 2012 and attacking his critics as “bigots.” More  http://www.clarionproject.org/analysis/christie-bent-including-islamists-security-forums

Iranian President Rouhani’s appointment of Pour-Mohammadi as Justice Minister proves that Iran’s leader is no moderate.

This was the warning was provided to the Clarion Project by members of Iranian opposition groups and victims of Pour-Mohammadi who shared their personal stories with us.

In 1988, Pour-Mohammadi oversaw the execution of over 30,000 political prisoners, according to the National Council of Resistance of Iran. The Clarion Project has been given eye-witness testimonies by two of Pour-Mohammadi’s near victims.

Hassan Zarif, currently located in Iraq, personally saw the massacre take place. He told Clarion: “It was a couple of months that I was sent to solitary confinement due to the protest sit-ins in the war. On July 29, 1988, I was once again taken to Ward 208 in Tehran’s Evin Prison for interrogation. In the entrance of the Ward 209 corridor, I saw 40 to 50 of my cellmates blindfolded and sitting on the ground.

“A couple of minutes later entered the ‘Death Commission,’ comprised of … Pour Mohammadi ... Within an hour, they took the inmates to court and issued death sentences for them all. And so they were all executed in the basement of Ward 209.

“Three months later, when I came out of solitary confinement, I realized that of the 175 inmates in our ward, only 15 were alive and the rest were executed in July-August in the basement of Ward 209. What’s shocking is the fact that today Pour-Mohammadi, who had taken part in the execution of 30,000 prisoners, is Mullah Rouhani’s Justice Minister.”

Hossein Farsi is another former political prisoner that is now in Iraq and also witnessed atrocities committed by Pour-Mohammadi. He told Clarion:

“I faced the ‘Death Commission’ twice on the days of July 30 and August 13, 1988. There were three individuals, Morteza Eshraghi (prosecutor), Mullah Nayeri and Mullah Pour-Mohammadi. These three signed the execution verdicts.

Among them, Mullah Pour-Mohammadi made the final decisions. He was the Ministry of Intelligence’s representative in the ‘Death Commission.’

“During the days of July 30, August 9, 12 and 13, I witnessed long lines to the gallows. In each turn, some 70 to 100 people would be sent to the gallows, all of whom were supporters of the MEK/PMOI [two Iranian opposition groups] who had been given execution sentences merely for their stance of supporting the MEK/PMOI.”

Ayatollah Khamenei appointed Pour-Mohammadi as a regime prosecutor in 1980, specifically tasked with persecuting teachers and students that challenged the Iranian regime. He was one of three officials chosen to serve on a Death Commission. He remained a prosecutor until 1986, after which he became Deputy Minister of Intelligence until 1999.

Former Iranian President Ahmadinejad appointed Pour-Mohammadi as Interior Minister in 2005. Human Rights Watch reacted by calling him a “minister of murder.” (Interesting that we have been led to believe that Rouhani is different from his predecessor.)

Sahar Mohammadi is an Iranian woman whose entire family killed was killed by the Death Committee to which Pour-Mohammadi belonged. She is only 33 years old today, making her about 8 years old at the time of the killings.

Mohammadi told Al-Monitor, “I am not surprised that Rouhani has  appointed one of the members of the 1988 Death Committee to the Justice Ministry. Pour-Mohammadi has proved that he is the most ‘capable’ and ‘suitable’ executioner of the ‘Islamic justice.’”

If the new Iranian President were really a moderate, he would not have chosen Pour-Mohammadi for such an important post, let alone any post.

As if more proof was needed, in related news, Rouhani chose General Hussein Dehghan as his Minister of Defense. Dehghan is one of the founders of the Hezbollah terrorist group. He was also involved in the 1983 bombing of the U.S. Marine barracks in Lebanon that killed 241 Americans when he held Revolutionary Guards forces in that country.

On August 6, the Clarion Project reported on a video that showed Rouhani talking about using deception to advance the nuclear program. The danger of this strategy is apparent in these appointments.

By any measure, Pour-Mohammadi and Hussein Dehghan are war criminals and, in the latter’s case, a terrorist. Rouhani’s “moderate” persona is nothing more than a politically calculated ruse.

Army Refuses to Stop Contracts With Al-Qaeda-Linked Companies
Ironically, the same terrorists and their supporters that we are fighting against are still receiving government contracts.

The U.S. Army is refusing to suspend contracts with dozens of companies and individuals tied to Al Qaeda and other extremist groups out of concern for their "due process rights," despite repeated pleas from the chief watchdog for Afghanistan's reconstruction.

In a scathing passage written in his latest report to Congress, Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) John Sopko said his office has urged the Army to suspend or debar 43 contractors over concerns about ties to the Afghanistan insurgency, "including supporters of the Taliban, the Haqqani network and al Qaeda." Sopko wrote that the Army "rejected" every single case.

"The Army Suspension and Debarment Office appears to believe that suspension or debarment of these individuals and companies would be a violation of their due process rights if based on classified information or if based on findings by the Department of Commerce," Sopko said, summing up the Army's position.

The inspector general report covered everything from contractors to security to economic development. But it reserved some of its most pointed language for the Army's refusal to cut ties with companies tied to the insurgency -- calling the position "legally wrong" and "contrary" to good policy and national security goals.

"I am deeply troubled that the U.S. military can pursue, attack, and even kill terrorists and their supporters, but that some in the U.S. government believe we cannot prevent these same people from receiving a government contract," he wrote in a letter attached to the report.

In the wake of the report, a bipartisan group of lawmakers introduced a bill aimed at restricting U.S. agencies from awarding contracts to supporters of extremist groups in Afghanistan. The bill would give the inspector general's office the authority to suspend Afghanistan contractors when agencies fail to review companies the office has flagged.

In the report, Sopko's office noted that the U.S. has suspended 59 contractors and debarred 68 contractors following allegations that they were engaged in fraud and other misconduct.

The Army claims that Sopko's office did not provide enough evidence to support its claims. "The Army Procurement Fraud Branch did receive and review the 43 recommendations late last year, but the report did not include enough supporting evidence to initiate suspension and debarment proceedings under Federal Acquisition Regulations," an Army spokesman said in a written statement.

The Army further explained that it can't debar a contractor unless a "preponderance of the evidence" shows serious misconduct, and that the evidence the inspector general provided would not pass that test. However, the Army said it has already told the office it "stands ready to re-examine the 43 cases if all relevant unclassified and/or classified information is provided."

The inspector general’s report challenges the Army's claim that there was not enough evidence. The report said in each of the 43 recommendations, the office provided "detailed supporting information demonstrating that these individuals and entities are providing material support to the insurgency in Afghanistan." All were turned down.
"In other words, they may be enemies of the United States, but that is not enough to keep them from getting government contracts," the report continued.

The report said in many cases, there is no possibility of criminal prosecution, and suspension or debarment is the only option.

Exposed: Iran’s Secret Training Base for Jihadis Bound for Syria
Though inside sources, the National Council of Resistance of Iran reveals Iran’s operations to assist Syrian dictator Bashar Assad.

A map showing the precise location of a training base for Iranian-sponsored terror cells being sent to Syria to help
The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), an Iranian opposition group that has previously exposed top-secret Iranian nuclear sites, has provided the Clarion Project with precise details of Iran’s operations to assist Syrian dictator Bashar Assad. The information includes a photo of an alleged base in Iran where training is taking place.

MEK (the Mujahideen-e-Khalq resistance group, which is part of the NCRI ) says that the following data was gathered from dozens of sources inside the Iranian regime and accumulated by the MEK. This includes informants inside the Revolutionary Guards, Defense Ministry and the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces.

The training of operatives to fight in Syria is taking place northeast of Tehran at a Revolutionary Guards base called Saheb al-Zaman, also known as the 27th Shaheed Pazouki Base. The base is located in the southeast part of Sorkheh Hesar Park.

The NCRI tells the Clarion Project that the majority of trainees at the above base are Iraqis, specifically those belonging to Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq and Kataeb-Hezbollah. Approximately 90% of Asa’ib’s fighters have been sent to Syria since March. Iran is also recruiting fighters from Yemen, where it has a relationship with the Houthi rebels.

The intelligence details how the operation is run. The Iraqi Shiite terrorists are dispatched by a man named “Yousef” who oversees the group’s training. He speaks to each fighter sent to Syria and gives them $1,300 each to help take care of their families. The recruits are sent to an Asai’b Ahl-Haq base in Basra and then to the Shalamceh border region. The next destination is Ahvaz in Khuzestan Province.

Once in Iran, the terrorists are separated into groups of between 60 and 80 operatives and sent to Qom for pilgrimage. Abu Fatema, a former commander of the Iraqi “Special Groups” that fought U.S. forces runs a base in Qom that is visited by the recruits. The Iraqis then visit the grave of Ayatollah Khomeini and then training begins. The recruits are provided with military attire and arms.

The main groups of Iraqis are trained for two weeks in Tehran and the remainder are trained in Khuzestan Province. The training in Tehran takes place at the aforementioned base. The officer in charge of the base goes by the name of Abu Younes. The training includes assault rifles, machine guns, sniper rifles, mortar launchers, bazookas, Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), grenades and other weapons.

The group is divided into four sub-groups, each receiving more specialized training in mortar use, sniping, IED use or intelligence-gathering. The tactical training course includes urban warfare and night assault simulations.  Every individual learns how to use mortars and rockets.

Once training is finished, the Iraqis are given forged documentation and secretly flown to Syria. Even after landing at the airport after midnight, the recruits are told to avoid turning on cell phones or any lights, including lighting inside the plane and in the landing area, in order to keep them undetected.

An official from Asai’b meets the recruits at the airport and they go to a place called “Haran al-Awamid.” They serve in Syria for 8 to 10 weeks at a time. The last dispatch was sent in the second half of June 2013, and that group will return to Iraq in mid-September.

The NCRI also provided details about the organization of the Iran-backed Iraqi network inside Syria helping Assad.

The Asai’b Ahl al-Haq in Syria is known as the “Kafal al-Zeinab Brigade” and numbers 500-600. The commander is named Abu Jabar and the operations commander is Haj Javad. There is a second unit named Kataeb Heidar Karrar in Syria.

Kataeb Hezbollah has a brigade named “Jondollah al-Sama” in Syria, commanded by an Iraqi from Sadr City named Haj Thamer.

There is also a brigade of about 400 from Sheikh Akram al-Ka’bi, another Iraqi group that split from Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq. It is named “Ammar Ibn Yasser” and has been sent to Aleppo.

Those that are killed are sent back to their country of origin to be buried.President Bashar Assad.

Iran’s Rouhani Caught on Film: I Advanced Nukes Thru Deception
Video shows Iran's new "moderate" Pres. Hassan Rouhani bragging that he deceived the West and continued Iran's nuclear program.
BY RYAN MAURO Tue, August 6, 2013
The “moderate” image crafted by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, parroted by the mainstream media, is exposed as a deceptive mirage in a new video released by Reza Kahlili, a former CIA spy who worked inside the Iranian Revolutionary Guards (watch video below). Rouhani is seen with a big smile as he discusses Iran’s nuclear program’s advances under his watch through the use of deception and the pitting of Europe against America.

Rouhani exudes pride as he describes his successful tenure as Iran’s chief nuclear negotiator on behalf of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei. He also reiterates that he represents Khamenei in the Supreme National Security Council, essentially making them two sides of the same coin.

The video opens with Rouhani explaining that he is responsible for huge advances in Iran’s nuclear program:

“The day we invited the three European ministers, only 10 centrifuges were spinning at Natanz. We could not produce one gram of U4 or U6 [uranium hexafluoride]. We did not have the heavy water, we could not produce yellowcake, our total production of centrifuges inside the country was 150. We wanted to complete all of these, we needed time.” [emphasis mine]

One of the tactics he used was deception. He refers to Iran’s 2003 declaration that states:
“[W]hile Iran has a right within the nuclear non-proliferation regime to develop nuclear energy for peaceful purposes it has decided voluntarily to suspend all uranium enrichment and processing activities as defined by the IAEA.”

Referring to the declaration, Rouhani says, “The statement of Tehran in that declaration, there was a resolution that all [uranium enrichment and processing] must stop but we did not allow it.”

With a gleaming smile, Rouhani boasts of finishing the construction of the Bushehr nuclear reactor and the Arak heavy water plant and increasing the number of centrifuges from 150 to 1,700 at Natanz.

Rouhani explains how he put Europe and America on opposite sides and took advantage of the friendliness of Mohammed El-Baradei, who was then serving as the chief of the United Nations International Atomic Energy Agency. El-Baradei is now Egypt’s Vice President for Foreign Affairs.
“The three European ministers told him that they became human shields for Iran so America cannot attack it,” he recalls from El-Baradei’s Farsi-language book. Rouhani says he got promises “to oppose America” from France and the U.K., even if it meant the use of their veto power in the United Nations Security Council.

On July 31, the Clarion Project reported that an Iranian opposition group claims Rouhani played a “key role” in a newly-identified secret nuclear site. The article also reviewed Rouhani’s history of deceit in regards to Iran’s nuclear program.
