WND EXCLUSIVE
'ALT-FOOTBALL?' LEFT FURIOUS AT RETURN OF XFL

Journalists slam new league as 'racist' for banning felons
Published: 11 hours ago
 Football

Vince McMahon, the chairman of World Wrestling Entertainment, has announced the return of the XFL, a professional football league attempting to capitalize on the decline of the NFL.

BREAKING: “The new XFL will kick off in 2020, and quite frankly, we’re going to give the game of football back to fans.” – @VinceMcMahon pic.twitter.com/t6B6jm7vgZ

— WWE (@WWE) January 25, 2018

Promising to give the game “back to fans,” McMahon said the new league would begin operations in 2020. No specific franchises or cities have been identified.

But the league is already garnering a hostile reaction from journalists, many of whom are eager to protect the NFL and its practice of coddling anti-police protests by players and providing generous donations to far-left foundations.

Conor Orr at Sports Illustrated scoffed that the XFL would be “Alternative Football,” characterizing it as “a league that gives us the option of reinforcing our own beliefs and insulating ourselves from the way other people see the world.”

He blamed Trump for “filter[ing] out a definable market” by criticizing Colin Kaepernick’s crusade against the national anthem.

But as Orr implicitly admits, that market is real. Hundreds of thousands of football fans have pledged to boycott the NFL because of the league’s policy regarding the national anthem.

And the boycott seems to be impacting the NFL’s bottom line. The NFL’s ratings have suffered a serious decline and advertisers are beginning to pull out, believing the NFL is no longer worth the investment. The league is also contending with embarrassing visuals of empty seats, as attendance is declining despite reduced ticket prices.

McMahon made a subtle appeal to that audience when he suggested all players would be required to stand for the national anthem.

“People don’t want social and political issues coming into play when they are trying to be entertained,” McMahon said in an interview with ESPN. “We want someone who wants to take a knee to do their version of that on their personal time.”

McMahon also suggested players who had committed criminal acts, “even a DUI,” would not be allowed to play in the league.

The combination of requiring respect for the national anthem and the refusal to allow criminals to play led to many people blasting the returned XFL as “racist” on Twitter.

Vince McMahon’s reborn XFL is basically an angry white racist’s dream of what American football should be – treating the players with the attitude of a plantation owner. Stand up straight, shut your mouth and consider yourself lucky to be here.

— Josh Gardner (@joshgardner) January 25, 2018

The XFL is racist because its founder specifically said that he will prevent players from participating in protests, as a direct reference to @Kaepernick7 taking a knee. Dude’s just trying to appeal to the mouthbreathers still flying a confederate flag

— Elie Challita (@eliec76) January 25, 2018

@VinceMcMahon
I was a big fan of the WWE. That ends now. Your racist attitude towards PoC exercising their 1st Amend right is deplorable. You’ve lost my respect & patronage. I will NEVER watch the XFL or WWE.

The president just shared a single heartbreaking photo which characterizes the disdain that most Americans feel for out-of-touch National Football League (NFL) athletes who choose to kneel during the National Anthem.

The poignant image shows a grieving military widow lying prostrate before her deceased husband’s tomb while her baby sits in a carrier beside her. President Donald Trump shared the moving meme on Twitter, which includes the caption, “THIS IS WHY WE STAND.”

The ultimate sacrifice
“So beautiful….Show this picture to the NFL players who still kneel!” wrote Trump in a message accompanying the image. The president shared the meme, shown below, which was originally posted by a young Republican supporter:

Report: ‘XFL’ football league might actually happen – Goodbye NFL?
December 31, 2017
https://www.conservativeinstitute.org/pop-culture/tv/xfl-league-might-happen.htm?utm_source=boomtrain&utm_medium=automated&utm_campaign=CNA2&utm_source=boomtrain&utm_medium=automated&utm_campaign=CNA2
Report: ‘XFL’ football league might actually happen – Goodbye NFL?
Football fans who have been growing tired of the hyper-politicized NFL landscape have something to look forward to as we transition into the new year.

Vince McMahon has apparently sold a staggering $100 million of stock in his wrestling mega-corporation, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), a publicly-traded corporation he has run since the early 1980s, in order to possibly relaunch the reimagined football league XFL, according to ESPN.

McMahon reportedly sold the stock, “primarily to fund a separate entity from the Company, Alpha Entertainment LLC, which Mr. McMahon established to explore investment opportunities across the sports and entertainment landscapes, including professional football.”

Trademarks
While spokesperson for the WWE said “Mr. McMahon has nothing further to announce at this time,” it is known that McMahon’s Alpha Entertainment “filed for five trademarks related to the XFL on Dec. 16,” according to ESPN.

“Previous XFL trademarks were abandoned over a period of time from 2002 to 2005,” the sports news giant added.

Among these potential trademarks are “XFL” and its merchandise, and “URFL.”

Additionally, in 2016, McMahon’s WWE filed to trademark the phrase “He Hate Me,” which was reportedly an important nickname from the XFL. According to ESPN, the trademark was “published by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office for opposition” earlier this month.

Opposers have 30 days to “object” to the trademark.

The time to compete
The XFL was originally created in 2001 as a “joint venture between WWE and NBC,” but after just one season, both entities had lost a combined $70 million.

McMahon’s move to revive the previously-failed league comes as disdain for the NFL and their politicking is at an all-time high. Many assume that the XFL’s revival would serve to offer a pro-American football league, completely devoid of the politicking and leftist culture that has plagued the NFL.

Such a league would likely gain the attention and support of the Trump administration and his supporters.

Sources close to the situation have indicated that we may be waiting until at least Jan. 25 for more news out of McMahon’s camp, but the way things seem, there could be an alternative to the NFL and its left-leaning influence sometime in 2018.

NFL Commissioner: Colin Kaepernick is not being blacklisted
December 12, 2017

NFL Commissioner: Colin Kaepernick is not being blacklisted
Keith Allison / CCL; Brook Ward / CCL
Colin Kaepernick is probably regretting his decision to constantly draw attention to himself on the field, but not for his athletic skill. His activism took him from hot commodity to undesirable, and he’s been blaming the NFL for his failure.

Recently, however, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell extinguished the idea that former-San Francisco 49ers quarterback and social justice activist Colin Kaepernick is being blacklisted from the league. Goodell said Monday that he does not believe Kaepernick has been “blackballed.”

In a CNBC interview Monday, Goodell did make it clear that picking players is a decision best left to the teams. Goodell explained:

Each and every club’s got to make those decisions. … They make those decisions based on a lot of factors that are best for their football team. And when they do that, that’s what’s in the best interest.

Timeline
Kaepernick started kneeling during the national anthem in the 2016 preseason. It was a protest to support minorities who he deemed were being systemically oppressed, with most salient attention given to police brutality.

Kaepernick explained his rationale:

I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color. To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.

The protests sparked outrage from fans across the nation and encouraged other players to adopt Kaepernick’s antics. The resulting spectacle annoyed fans, who weren’t happy about the politicization of football, especially in a year dominated by divisive politics.

Kaepernick opted out of his contract with the 49ers in March and remained unsigned for seven months. Then in October, he filed a grievance claiming there was an illegal effort by owners to collude and keep him out of the league.

Goodell, who just signed a five-year $200 million dollar contract extension, denied Kaepernick’s claim. He told CNBC the embattled former Quarterback is always welcome to meet with NFL officials:

We’ve always invited Colin to come over,  he’s welcome to come over and meet at any point and time. We had an open door on that. There was some meeting set up with the player’s coalition, and they were invited by the player’s coalition.

Kaepernick never showed up.

Goodell Defensive About Attendance
CNBC “Squawk Box” co-anchor Joe Kernan pressed Goodell about “empty” NFL stadiums.

Kernan prefaced his question to Goodell:

There are parts of society mad about the kneeling, so you’re going to see pictures on certain news sites of stadiums that appear to be empty. Again they’re not empty, but just a lot of open seats. How do you explain?

Goodell denied any notable drop in fan attendance, responding, “Our attendance is off about one percent.” Watch below:

Last week, pop singer Beyonce presented Kaepernick with the Muhammad Ali Legacy Award, which, according to Sports Illustrated, is an honor that “will celebrate individuals whose dedication to the ideals of sportsmanship has spanned decades and whose career in athletics has directly or indirectly impacted the world.”

Kaepernick has certainly impacted the world, not least of which was his impact on NFL ratings and attendance.

$5 tickets are the latest sign that the NFL is in big trouble
December 10, 2017

Embattled NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell seemed to have scored a major victory over critic and Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones earlier this month when a committee of owners agreed to a five-year extension of Goodell’s current contract. However, the commissioner’s victory may be short-lived given the stagnation of some National Football League franchises.

A recently-released report detailed that tickets for Sunday’s game between the Indianapolis Colts and the Buffalo Bills were selling on the secondary market for under $5 per ticket — and vendor sites revealed that the game was not even close to a sell-out. This example is part of a greater trend of falling ticket prices, disaffected fan bases and growing public discontent with the league.

Not only could a general admission ticket for the Colts-Bills game be obtained for just $4; great seats six rows away from the end zone went for just $10.

Low Prices
It is unclear whether the extremely low-prices for the Colts-Bills game were due to controversy, weather, location, or lackluster teams. Still, the low-prices are indicative of an overall pattern that the NFL has been experiencing for some time: while the Bills and the Colts are not the best teams at the moment, they are also not the worst.

Additionally, while the weather was slated to be roughly 30 degrees in Buffalo on Sunday, that is not as cold as other well-attended games have been in the past. This makes it appear that the low ticket prices were part of a larger pattern of low attendance in the league.

For instance, in September, the Washington Examiner reported that ticket sales had dropped 17.9 percent for the third-week games, compared to the 10.8 percent drop experienced the previous year.

Jack Slingland, a representative of the organization who found these statistics, commented on the drop in the NFL’s third-week ticket sales in September, telling the Examiner:

We have seen a massive decrease in NFL ticket purchases this past week in comparison to years past. Week 3 seems to usually have less ticket orders than week 2, but this year ticket purchases are down more than 7 percent from this time last year.

While we can’t specify if this decrease is due to the president’s comments, player and owner protests, play on the field, or simply the continued division of consumer’s media attention, the conversation around the NFL this week has focused on the president’s comments as well as the players’ and owners’ reaction. As viewers continue to abandon their NFL Sunday habits, both the number of ticket sales and the purchase price of tickets will drop.

Ratings Fumble
The decline in ticket sales slowly and steadily follows the decline in ratings that have plagued the NFL with plummeting ratings, burning of jerseys, and the boycott of games since the infamous anthem controversy began. An October report even found that the NFL has lost its place as America’s favorite sport; instead, football was reported to be one of the least liked among top professional games.

For the first time in decades, the NFL was beaten by the MLB in favorability among professional sports at 61 percent to 57 percent.

The report also found that from the month of August to the end of September, the NFL’s favorability rating plummeted nearly 25 percent, from 57 percent to 44 percent. Favorability among core fans fell from 73 to 42 percent, and unfavorability rose from 19 to 47 percent.

Not so Goodell After All
While Goodell signed a 5-year, $200 million dollar contract extension amid these declining ratings, a clause was included requiring up to 90 percent of the compensation to be paid out only if certain financial targets are met for the organization. His guaranteed salary will be just $4 million per year, with the rest dependent on the financial performance of the NFL.

The fact that NFL franchise owners felt like they had to structure Goodell’s compensation in such a manner is quite telling: they are concerned about the continuation of controversy and possible financial loss in the future.

Only time will tell if the NFL will return to the powerhouse it once was. Goodell may have won the battle, but the war is still raging on — and his pocketbook will soon feel the consequences.

Report: NFL takes money from veteran funds to give to ‘social justice’ fund
December 4, 2017
https://www.conservativeinstitute.org/conservative-news/nfl-takes-money-veteran.htm?
Report: NFL takes money from veteran funds to give to ‘social justice’ fund
Erin Costa / CCL
The National Football League (NFL) has become a laughingstock to patriotic Americans who don’t agree with the widespread “take a knee” protests that disrespect the national anthem. Now, the NFL is making it even worse.

According to a recent exclusive interview NFL player Eric Reid had with Slate magazine, the NFL is taking money that would be donated to veterans and breast cancer charities to fund “social justice” organizations.

The NFL recently promised to donate $89 million to various “social justice” causes in return for players stopping their protests, a deal that ESPN reported “represents the NFL’s largest contribution to a social issue, surpassing that of Salute to Service or Breast Cancer Awareness/Crucial Catch.” Reid, a safety for the San Francisco 49ers, said their charity is merely a facade.

Bad News
Reid was among the players that protested the national anthem earlier this season, but did not agree that the money should simply be moved; rather, he feels that it is the responsibility of NFL executives to take out of their own pockets if they want the take-a-knee protests to stop.

Reid, who left the NFL’s Players Coalition in November, told Slate:

In the discussion that we had, Malcolm [Jenkins, player for the Philadelphia Eagles and co-leader of the Players Coalition] conveyed to us — based on discussions that he had with the NFL — that the money would come from funds that are already allocated to breast cancer awareness and Salute to Service. So it would really be no skin off the owners’ backs: they would just move the money from those programs to this one.
He also blamed NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell for the controversial money transfers.

Reid told Slate:

Goodell is trying to make this as easy for the owners to agree to as possible so that — again, their goal is to end the protests. He’s trying to make it as easy possible to do that for the owners. He’s going to present them with a proposal saying, “Look you really don’t have to do anything. We’re just going to shift this money from this area and just move it here.”
According to ESPN, there is “no implicit quid pro quo” in the NFL’s deal with the players for them to “stop their anthem protests, although the league hoped the players would.” But Reid argued that that may not be the case, and not all members of the Players Coalition agreed to the charity in return for standing.

The NFL has yet to comment on the issue, which Fox News has labeled as nothing more than a “political stunt.”

Sinking Ship…?
Despite the desperate claims to the contrary from ESPN and NFL executives, polls and collected data indicate that the ongoing national anthem protests are the reason the NFL’s overall numbers have been down since the beginning of the 2017 season.

At this rate, if viewership numbers continue to drop, February’s Super Bowl could go down as one of the least-watched in NFL history — which would be a strong final blow to the NFL’s declining brand.

It speaks to the level of tone-deafness in the NFL, that the league thinks that it can get away with taking money from veterans causes and giving it to “social justice.”

American football’s biggest organization may just be going down in flames — and this report shows that things won’t be getting any better any time soon.

NFL deal would shuffle millions to Soros-linked groups
December 5, 2017
https://www.conservativeinstitute.org/conservative-news/soros-tied-nasty-plot.htm?utm_source=boomtrain&utm_medium=
NFL deal would shuffle millions to Soros-linked groups
Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung / CCL
The National Football League’s diminishing monopoly on Sunday entertainment has been brewing since the wave of National Anthem protests kicked off last year with then-San Francisco 49er’s Quarterback Colin Kaepernick. In a stunning move, the NFL has acquiesced the demands of the social justice campaign.

The NFL and Players Coalition signed an $89 million dollar, seven-year deal, which could send tens of millions to left-wing organizations with links to business magnate George Soros.

Former Obama advisor Van Jones is the head of one of the potential recipient organizations known as Dream Corps.

The former Obama adviser and current CNN political analyst resigned from his White House post amid reports of links to being involved with far-left Marxist activist groups in the 1990s. Dream Corps’ aim is to release prisoners and provide “sanctuary for all.”

Ties to Soros
Evidence of Soros’ involvement is widely evident within Dream Corps, which merged with the environmental group, Green for All (GFA), in 2014. The funders of which GFA include the Open Society as well as former Vice President Al Gore’s Alliance for Climate Protection.

The agreement potentially distributes funds for both local and national efforts. On the national side, the owners agree to pay $73 million, with 25 percent allocated for the United Negro College Fund and 25 percent to the Dream Corps.

The remaining 50 percent would be controlled by the Players Coalition, part of the Hopewell fund which is managed by Arabella Advisors, a left-wing environmental group.

The Player Coalition has roughly 40 NFL players in participation.

No Final Decision
NFL spokesman Joseph Lockhart said Monday that there was no final decision on the terms of the agreement.

“No decisions have been made on where the money will go yet, much less all the money over the next 7 years,” Mr. Lockhart said in an email. “Those decisions will be made by the working group that has not been formed yet.”
Reaction
Critics of the deal have noted that the NFL would divert funding from other advocacy initiatives including Salute to Service, and Breast Cancer Awareness.

Robert Kuykendall, a spokesman for corporate watchdog group 2ndVote had some choice words for NFL execs. He said:

If this is how the NFL plans to bring back the millions of Americans who are fed up with the players’ antics and anthem protests, then the league just fumbled the ball. Why would any conservative spend another dollar supporting the NFL if that dollar will be directly funneled to left-wing activists like Van Jones?
Philadelphia Eagles safety and Players’ Coalition leader Malcolm Jenkins praised the deal in an open letter.

He wrote:

What the NFL has done is a good first step — it’s not going to solve the massive problems we have in our cities and states across this country, but it’s a start.
The deal does nothing to solve the issue of kneeling during the National Anthem. The league will continue to face an optics predicament as the schism between activist players and middle-American viewers expands.

Americans love football, and they want to turn on the television and watch their teams play.

All the NFL needs to do is to cut the sideshow out and focus on sports, not the agendas of various players.

BREAKING: NFL Commissioner Gets Awful News, He Doesn’t Like This One Bit
https://www.christiannewsalerts.com/nfl-commissioner-awful-news/?
November 10, 2017 Frank Spear
The controversy in the National Football League is going strong into Week 10 of the season. Now, the tensions have increased, and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is not happy.

Last season, Colin Kaepernick of the San Francisco 49ers decided to kneel during the national anthem. His action seemed harmless at the time but have now inspired additional protests of “racial injustice” spanning almost two seasons. Goodell has sent mixed messages regarding the protests, which has frustrated owners and fans. According to The Washington Examiner, Goodell’s indecisiveness with the protestors is partially responsible for Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys, threatening to file a lawsuit against the National Football League.

Jones’ threat of filing a lawsuit against the NFL stems from Goodell’s recent lackluster leadership, particularly concerning the anthem protest controversy. Reports say that the lawsuit will go through if the NFL extends Goodell’s contract beyond the 2018 season.

As of Wednesday, reports claim that Jones has hired David Boies, a famous New York lawyer. Boies has worked in the past for high ranking officials such as former Vice President Al Gore.

The anger stems from Goodell’s inconsistency on the issue of national anthem protests. He has claimed that he wants players to stand for the national anthem but then follows it up by saying that players don’t have to stand for the anthem, and won’t be penalized.

Jones’ frustration goes further due to the way that Goodell and the NFL handled the suspension of Ezekiel Elliott, a running back for the Cowboys. The suspension occurred due to a charge of alleged domestic violence.

An insider long-time team executive revealed that Jones is not the only owner who feels this way. In fact, quite a few owners have gripes to pick with Goodell and the NFL as a whole.

“Most owners would admit that Roger has done a terrible job handling the anthem controversy and a terrible job explaining the [TV] rating declines, a terrible job on any number of other issues,” the executive explained.

The controversy over NFL protests has settled down since the start of the 2017-2018 season. At one point, whole teams were kneeling with their coaches and staff over the protests.

Jerry Jones, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, is threatening to file a lawsuit against the NFL. Should he file?

POLL: Should Jerry Jones Sue The NFL?

Yes
No
Next
Many teams alleged that they were trying to show their disdain for President Trump after he said that protesting players should be fired from their teams. In this sense, the teams only further muddied the water on what this protest means.

Kaepernick announced that he was kneeling to battle “racial injustice” and “police brutality,” while other players kneeled to combat President Trump. The NFL protests have become similar to the Democrats marching against President Trump in “resistance.” There is no clear message for their actions. Therefore, it’s difficult for the average American to connect to their cause.

As the end of Goodell’s contract gets closer, it seems that Jones plans on taking action against the commissioner and the NFL for failing to do their job. Many are wondering who will come out on top if this makes it to court.

BREAKING: Congress Gives NFL Devastating News, It’s Brutal
November 3, 2017 Frank Spear
https://www.christiannewsalerts.com/congress-nfl-devastating-news/?utm_campaign=CNA_20170715
One of the big questions people are asking leading up to the end of the year is whether or not the Republicans’ new tax bill is going to make it through the legislative process. There are plenty of different features in the bill, including one that will target a group that some have called unpatriotic.

The NFL has been at the center of controversy since Colin Kaepernick claimed that no team would hire him after opting out of his contract with the San Fransisco 49ers. The new tax code looks to target many undeserving groups that have been able to get away with abusing taxpayer dollars unscathed. One longtime congressional tax analyst stated: “Unlike the NFL, middle-class taxpayers have earned the right to take a knee when it comes to subsidizing professional athletic stadiums,” according to The Washington Times.

President Donald Trump has stated that his goal is to save the American people money — to make it so Americans can keep more of their own money. This new bill could potentially allow earners to keep tens of billions of dollars every year.

This money could be used to increase wealth savings for families who have lower than average incomes. It could also provide big breaks for businesses with regard to over-taxation, which would help small businesses around the nation.

As of now, professional stadiums have access to tax-exempt bonds that both state and local governments hand out. This has puzzled many Americans for years, and now, it seems a definitive answer to that puzzle is coming.

Getting rid of this break alone would save the taxpayers about $299 million over the next 10 years, early estimates have predicted. This is a comparatively small change compared to the millions that players bring in annually.

“At a time when sports leagues are earning… billions of dollars in revenue every year, Congress should level the playing field for them and eliminate the subsidy,” the longtime Congressman continued. This is the fight for the American people that was promised by President Trump.

When Colin Kaepernick first started kneeling during the national anthem last season no one thought much of it other than a lone player drawing attention to societal issues. However, this season, an uproar started because no one would hire Kaepernick because of his deteriorating skills and the controversy surrounding his name.

As a result, NFL players around the league started kneeling to protest racial injustice. However, they chose to do this during the national anthem, which did not sit well with an overwhelming majority of Americans.

In fact, the point of the protest was lost when people started realizing that this very unAmerican behavior was occurring at every single NFL game.

Congress’ new tax code just sent a major message to the NFL. Should the NFL stop their protests?

There were talks of cutting the stadium tax-exempt status before the national anthem protest controversy started stirring people up. However, because of the way everyone has consumed this story, the fact that the NFL tax-exemption breaks are on the chopping block is considered by many to be a victory for the American people.

It is unknown if this new tax bill will be settled on by the end of the year. Many Americans would love to see this resolved so that other pressing issues can be addressed. Perhaps, after tax reform passage, the money saved could be used towards building the border wall that many Americans think the country desperately needs for national security.

BREAKING: Military Vet Publicly Humiliates NFL Team, This Is Brutal
November 4, 2017 Frank Spear
https://www.christiannewsalerts.com/military-vet-publicly-humiliates-nfl/?utm_source=Boomtrain&utm_medium=
The NFL controversy has been ramping up for almost a year now. It started to get worse when the 2017-2018 season started, and now, one retired military vet is stepping up to say what most others are thinking.

Recently, a retired Navy commander decided not to attend Sunday’s game as an honorary member. The military veteran said that he no longer supports the NFL due to the protests taking place during the national anthem before every game, according to ESPN.

The New Orleans Saints, who invited the military vet, John Wells, to the game, have tried to attack back. This is not the first time that a team has become hostile after they were called out for protesting.

“We will not allow Mr. [John] Wells’ decision and subsequent media appearances to distract our players and organization from continuing to honor and support our military and veterans,” the Saints said in a statement.

The problem here is that, when players kneel or sit during the anthem, they are disrespecting the American military, the flag, and the national anthem itself. The team went on to say in their statement that they have been supporting veterans for over fifty years.

Wells is the executive director of the National Military Veterans Advocacy in Slidell, Louisiana. He was selected as the role of Peoples Health Champion.

This award is given during New Orleans Saints home games for people who meet “the exceptional achievements of Louisiana residents age 65 and older.”

Wells stated that he is not interested in accepting the honor. His reason for this decision is that he believes that the protests of the national anthem are nothing more than a “slap in the face to veterans,” in the news and he said that he could not “in good conscience” enter an NFL stadium.

“Although I am touched and honored to be selected for such an award, the ongoing controversy with NFL players’ disrespect for the national flag forces me to decline to participate in the presentation,” Wells said in his statement.

He continued, “Since this award is tainted with the dishonorable actions of the NFL and its players, I cannot accept it.” The Saints attacked back and eventually thanked him for his service at the end. That was at least a classy move on their part, and shows that, while some of the team’s players have accepted a controversial position politically, some of them still know where they owe their respects.

Are you on this veteran’s side?

Do you agree with this veteran?

In a way to show off, it seemed, they listed all of the contributions that they have made to the military and veterans over the years. It is good that they are doing things for the military. However, that is not an excuse to virtue signal when a veteran won’t appear at your award because of the perceived disrespect.

This move by Wells may be a wake-up call to many NFL teams around the league. Respecting the military is not that hard, they just want folks to stand for the national anthem and honor the country for which they fought so hard to protect.

BRUTAL: NFL Hit With Crushing Blow, It’s Getting Ugly
October 26, 2017 Ben Baker
https://www.christiannewsalerts.com/nfl-hit-crushing-blow/?&bt_ee=ZkWSt+LFpAyuRbPDDfJx2IbimF1ucXCCRGGUVPGOinbOh7WC/R1W2yr2kaxVDXlW&bt_ts=1509125620831
The NFL protests have drawn the ire of football fans as well as average Americans who normally do not follow the game. And it’s beginning to have an effect.
According to Sports Business Daily, the NFL’s ratings are struggling, having plummeted since the protests started. Now they’re looking to make changes. One potential change NFL executives may be looking into could be canceling the league’s Thursday games altogether.
The backlash from fans over the national anthem protests has been significant. According to Deadline, fans have boycotted the games by turning off TVs and refusing to come to the stadiums. One high-profile incident occurred during a Jacksonville Jaguars game when a plane flew overhead trailing a banner that read, “Be American. Boycott the Jags and the NFL.”
The protests have had a major impact on the NFL’s broadcast ratings and, thusly, their bottom line. Yet the NFL continues to exist in denial saying that any number of factors are the cause rather than admit the protests are the driving force.
The media is stubbornly focusing on oversaturation as the reason NFL ratings are low. Granted, given that fans can watch games on Thursday night, Sunday morning, Sunday afternoon, Sunday night, and Monday night, not to mention all the discussion and highlights between games, it is possible this is part of the reason for the ratings drop.
In any case, there’s no denying that ratings are down. Overall, viewership dropped by 7 percent when compared to last season and there has been a sharp 11 percent drop in viewership in the 18 to 34-year-old demographic.
According to CBS Sports, Thursday night games struggle anyway due to inferior team match ups. Former NFL coach John Madden says, “What’s happens is there are not a lot of good teams, and they have too many windows to put these games in. When you think of an early Sunday window, a late Sunday window, a Sunday night window, a Monday night window, a Thursday night window. They all want good games, and there’s not enough good teams.”

While the poor matchups and oversaturation are no doubt having an effect, the main reason NFL ratings are down overall is a result of the protests, according to CBS Boston. A survey by J.D. Power revealed that of those who are watching fewer games the main reason given, 26 percent, was the protests.
It’s also apparent that both the media and the NFL are aware that the protests are having an effect on ratings despite their claims to the contrary. According to Breitbart, Fox Sports was the first to decide not to cover the national anthem protests during the games, choosing to go back to its normal schedule instead.
Many teams have also ceased protesting to avoid drawing the wrath of their fans, according to The Blaze. Since the massive demonstration in Week 3, with 204 players participating, those numbers have dropped sharply. This last weekend saw only 30 players continuing the protests and Week 6 interestingly had only 12 protesting.
Ratings for NFL games across the board are sharply down. Do you believe the players’ national anthem protests are the reason?
POLL: Are You Boycotting the NFL Over the National Anthem Protests?
Yes
No
Next
While the media and the Left can claim that oversaturation, concussion controversy, multiple streaming platforms and a host of other reasons are the cause for the loss in ratings and viewership there is no denying that the protests are dealing the death blow.
If the NFL decides to cancel Thursday night’s games it will be because fans have grown tired of the disrespect to the national anthem and the financial effect has forced the NFL to make necessary cuts.

It turns out that controversial anti-conservative politics were part of football long before President Trump or even Colin Kaepernick got involved.

According to an article on the Capital Research Center website, a watchdog organization did a probe into the National Football League Players Association tax records and discovered something very interesting. They’re actively funding “resistance” groups to oppose Trump’s presidency.

The discovery was made by the conservative watchdog group, 2nd Vote. They discovered that the NFLPA makes regular donations to various groups that are working with the resistance efforts against Trump.

Such groups include the Center for Community Change, which fights for total acceptance and amnesty for illegal immigrants. Groups also include Working America, a union advocacy group, and the Center for Community Change Action, which donated around $3 million to Hillary Clinton’s run for the presidency last year.

The NFLPA’s donations are part of a large mass of funds that go towards various anti-Trump groups to actively hinder or oppose his presidency. Many of these groups also receive funding from notable left-wing donor, George Soros.

This revelation isn’t too surprising considering the organized protests seen out of the NFL against Trump following his controversial statements in Alabama, according to USA Today. There at a rally, Trump stated fans were tired of the national anthem protests and it would be good for NFL owners to fire those players who protest.

Many NFL players and owners took offense to the comment and, of course, the NFLPA had issues with the statement as well. President of the NFLPA, Eric Winston, said the comments were “a slap in the face to the civil rights heroes of the past and present.”

According to Reuters, after Vice President Mike Pence walked out of a game when over a dozen players of the San Francisco 49ers protested the anthem, DeMaurice Smith, NFLPA executive director reacted by criticizing NFL management and dismissing the idea that the protests were somehow offensive.

Smith stated, “No player is disrespecting our Country or our Flag. As thousands have shown in the past, it takes bravery and courage to speak and confront these issues as our players have, especially when it is unpopular with some. There is room for Management to do the same and maybe then players do not have to risk the taunts and threats alone. This is their opportunity to lead as well and will be a true test of the motto that ‘Football is Family.’”

Yet, as time has shown, fans disagree and the NFL has been suffering both in ratings and revenue as both fans and business associates have walked away from the sports organization.

Apparently, this doesn’t concern Winston, who has the same mindset as Smith. Winston stated, “Honestly, I don’t care, and I don’t think the guys in this locker room care whether [the NFL] is going to be around in 20 years because none of us are going to be playing.”

This stunning statement shows that the leaders of the NFLPA care more about their political goals and agendas than they do about the players. Their efforts to help fund and support notable anti-Trump organizations also betray their true opinions of the protests and what little they’re going to do to stop them.

They would rather watch the NFL crumble than admit Trump was right and stop the protesting.

Here Are The Sports Teams Boycotting Trump Hotels – Let’s Boycott THEM!
October 13, 2017 Mark Prvulovic
https://www.christiannewsalerts.com/teams-boycotting-trump-hotels/?utm_source=boomtrain&utm_campaign=CNA_20170715&utm_medium=automated&bt_alias=eyJ1c2VySWQiOiAiMjA0NzVlMjEtYmFkYy00ZGM0LTkxMDYtOTUwZDNlN2Q5MjRlIn0%3D
In the wake of the recent NFL spectacle regarding the national anthem protests, some professional sports teams have launched a coordinated attack against the Trump family’s businesses.

Until recently, many professional sports teams would stay at Trump’s hotels. However, 16 out of the 17 teams that have previously stayed at his hotels have confirmed they will be avoiding his hotel chains in the future, according to The Washington Post.

16 of the 17 professional sports teams that previously chose to stay at Trump’s hotels while traveling have confirmed that they will no longer be using his hotels to house their athletes. The teams vary across the spectrum of professional sports leagues, including the NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB – professional football, basketball, hockey, and baseball, respectively.

The Trump SoHo hotel, in particular, used to be a favorite among NBA teams that were visiting New York City. Many players enjoyed their stay so much that they often praised the hotel in front of the media. It seems that’s no longer the case.

“The President has seemingly made a point of dividing us as best he can,” said Steve Kerr, a coach for The Golden State Warriors basketball team. “He continually offends people, and so people don’t want to stay at his hotel. It’s pretty simple,” he said, according to the The Daily Caller.

The coach and his team used to spend as much as $20,000 per night at Trump’s various establishments, but will be taking their business elsewhere. Despite the fact that Trump doesn’t oversee the day-to-day workings of his private-sector businesses, instead choosing to focus on the country — as noted by the White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders — it’s a move that still can be seen as a symbolic attack against the President.

“The President has repeatedly said he doesn’t care about his business, he cares about the country,” said Sanders. “The President’s position on athletes standing for the national anthem is about respecting the flag and the men and women in the military who sacrifice to defend it and nothing else.”

His hotels weren’t the only businesses of Trump Enterprises to be impacted by his presidency. Many of his golf courses have seen charity tournaments move elsewhere, with his famous course in Scotland reporting that their losses have doubled in 2016.

Before Trump ran for office back in 2015, at least three of the four major US sports leagues provided his establishments with regular business — with football being the only sport in which athletes don’t seem to stay at luxury hotels as often.

It seems like everyone is boycotting everyone! Is President Trump paying a high price for his service?

Most teams refused to comment as to why they changed their decision to stay at his hotels, but there were some that didn’t. Milwaukee Bucks forward Jabari Parker told Sporting News, “I’m proud to not stay in Trump hotels. I don’t support someone who endorses hate on other people. He ran his campaign on hate. He’s attacked everything that I am and believe.” Parker’s outrage likely stems from Trump’s position on immigration, as Parker’s mother is an immigrant from Tonga.

Although some teams chose to continue staying in Trump’s hotels, some individual players have decided to stay away, including Adrian Gonzalez of The Los Angeles Dodgers, a Mexican-American. He said, “You can draw your own conclusions,” when asked why he chose not to stay at his hotels. “They’re probably right.”

The article contains a diagram showing the names of all 16 teams who are staying away from the President’s private-sector enterprise hotels. Patriotic Americans who happen to be fans of these teams will likely start letting their displeasure be known.

The conflict between Donald Trump and the NFL has been one of the most fascinating events in the recent American culture war. It’s part of the larger dissatisfaction among mainstream Americans with the entertainment industry–which has largely become a platform for the promotion of left-wing causes.

According to The Washington Times, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has taken action on behalf of fans who consider football players’ widespread kneeling during the national anthem to be disrespectful. Goodell sent team owners a letter on Tuesday saying he wants players to stand during the anthem–and also said a possible rule change will be discussed at the league’s meeting next week.

Goodell’s remarks to owners took on a conciliatory tone and argued that the protests are causing division. “Sports, and especially the NFL, brings people together and lets them set aside those divisions, at least for a few hours,” Goodell wrote.

The NFL commissioner continued: “The current dispute over the national anthem is threatening to erode the unifying power of our game, and is now dividing us, and our players, from many fans across the country.”

President Trump took to Twitter Tuesday morning to herald Goodell’s decision, writing, “It is about time that Roger Goodell of the NFL is finally demanding that all players STAND for our great National Anthem-RESPECT OUR COUNTRY.”

The new change in direction came in response to major backlash from football fans. As noted by NJ.com, many fans went so far as to burn season tickets and jerseys as a way of displaying their frustration with the national anthem protests.

NFL ratings are down. Both Sunday Night Football and Monday Night Football experienced season lows this week. According to the Washington Examiner, ticket sales have declined by 17.9 percent.

Goodell’s new stance against protesters was possibly motivated by President Trump’s public condemnation of the tax break advantages offered to the NFL, which also enjoys the benefits of being exempted from federal anti-trust laws.

“Why is the NFL getting massive tax breaks while at the same time disrespecting our Anthem, Flag and Country?” President Trump posted to Twitter on Monday. “Change tax law!” The controversy provoked by the protesting players has placed the financial interests of the league in jeopardy. The NFL has likely determined that it has more to lose by alienating its base than by angering its players.

Finally! Goodell sent team owners a letter on Tuesday saying he wants players to stand during the anthem. Should he have acted sooner?

Should NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell have acted sooner?

The sports network ESPN is following the same path. As Fox News reports, ESPN suspended politically vocal sportscaster Jemele Hill for two weeks after she called on her fans to boycott advertisers of the Dallas Cowboys in retaliation for owner Jerry Jones’s decision to bench any player who refuses to stand for the national anthem.

The politicization of professional football has prompted sponsors like Hardwick Clothes and Check Into Cash to pull their advertising dollars from the NFL.

Sports fans apparently prefer watching games free of political activism. Faced with major financial losses, it seems the NFL is at last willing to give their audience what it wants. The question is whether even a complete overhaul will be enough to salvage the league, or whether the damage is already too great to repair.

ALERT: American Troops Issue Shock “Anthem” Message
October 10, 2017 Ben Baker
https://www.christiannewsalerts.com/troops-anthem/?utm_source=Boomtrain&utm_medium=NS1&utm_campaign=
The NFL players’ protests of the national anthem have sparked controversy and backlash from people infuriated by the disrespect to the nation and its military.

According to The Daily Caller, polls have come out revealing how the military feels about the anthem protests. Not surprisingly, a majority disagree with the protests, a fact obscured when shown to Americans.

On Sunday, a poll was conducted by the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, an advocate for veterans. The poll revealed that 62 percent of veterans and active-duty soldiers disagree with the NFL protests, with only 35 percent saying they agree with the NFL players.

What’s interesting about these findings is that they were muddied up by the other findings in the poll to make it seem like veterans and military were divided about the protests.

Paul Rieckhoff, founder and CEO of IAVA, claimed in a statement that the troops were not in majority opposition to the protests, but instead divided. “Much of America is talking about the protests in the NFL. And many people are claiming to speak on behalf of veterans and troops. We wanted to give veterans and troops the opportunity to speak for themselves. The most important takeaway from this groundbreaking data is that there is no monolithic veteran opinion. The opinions of veterans are often as diverse as those of all Americans,” the statement read.

An odd statement considering 62 percent said they did not agree with the protests and only 35 percent said they agreed.

The polls were highlighted and presented in such a way that the results were misleading. Instead of coming out and saying the end result was 62 percent who disagreed with the protests, the diverse actions veterans and military were using to respond to the protests were cited.

Among those polled, 39 percent said they would stop watching the games because of the NFL players protests and 14 percent said they would continue watching the games despite disagreeing with the protests. These numbers, among others, were used to help obscure the fact that nearly two-thirds of those polled did not like the protesting and a little over a third showed support.

Rieckhoff’s intentional effort to obscure the facts is not surprising considering the complaints voiced about him by his employees, according to the Daily Caller. Employees cited the exploitation of female service members for donations, misuse of grant money, and Rieckhoff’s abusive nature.

Regardless, the frustration shown by veterans and the military is no surprise given the complete disrespect shown by NFL players when protesting the national anthem. The players claim to oppose racial injustice, but do so by disrespecting the flag meant to show support for the military and the country — both of which grant freedom and rights to all races.

These brave men and women fighting for freedom and liberties have been spat upon by NFL players who refuse to acknowledge and respect those sacrifices. It’s amazing to see that these military men and women upset by the disrespect shown to them still defend their right to do so; 98 percent of those polled believed the players had a Constitutional right to protest.

Most people do not support the protests. Do you think the protests have gone too far?

This is an incredible display of the selflessness these soldiers and former soldiers have to their country and those who live within it. These brave men and women teach everyone that no matter our differences, we are all Americans, and they will fight for us no matter the respect shown to them.

Perhaps these NFL players will ponder on that whenever they take a knee during the national anthem.

BREAKING: Trump Wins Major Victory, Media Hiding It
October 3, 2017 Ben Baker
https://www.christiannewsalerts.com/trumo-victory-media/?utm_medium=push&utm_source=AP&utm_campaign=onesignal
The media never fails to attack Trump when they think he’s wrong and ignore Trump when he’s right. This week has been no different.
According to the Daily Wire, the reaction of fans over Trump’s statement to “fire” NFL players and the resulting players’ protests are in. Fans have sided with President Trump and are furious about the protests. This has resulted in fewer NFL players protesting this week, but the media coverage is nowhere to be seen.
USA Today reports that the controversy started over a week ago when, at a rally in Alabama, Trump decided to voice his opinion on NFL players kneeling during the national anthem “Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, ‘Get that son of a b**** off the field right now. Out. He’s fired. He’s fired!’”
On Sunday morning he tweeted out his belief that changes would happen quickly if fans became offended by the protests “If NFL fans refuse to go to games until players stop disrespecting our Flag & Country, you will see change take place fast. Fire or suspend!
NFL players swiftly took offense to his statements, declaring Trump was robbing them of their constitutional right to Freedom of Speech. In a mass protest, nearly 200 NFL players refused to stand for the national anthem, many not even showing up on the field for the patriotic ceremony.
Many liberals praised the demonstration, believing it brought unity and solidarity to the field. The media attacked and condemned Trump for his statements and for supposedly widening the rift in America.
Yet, this last Sunday revealed that Trump’s assessment of the protests was correct. That fans were bothered by the players’ refusal to stand for the national anthem, and they’re boycotting of the NFL would result in changes.
Darren Rovell, a sports business analyst tweeted out the stunning change in players’ behavior between the two Sundays, “Last Sunday, about 180 NFL players didn’t stand for the national anthem. Today? 52.”
A Twitter user known as Proud Texan put it another way “In other words, 21 out of the 28 teams that played today had no one sit for the national anthem.”
It would appear that the backlash from fans was so intense and so fierce, that less than a third of the protesters continued their demonstrations.
According to Washington Free Beacon, John King with CNN said a very likely reason for the change is the NFL owners concern for the financial impact the protests are causing “Since the President weighed in, the owners are now dealing with a surge in ticket holder requests for refunds.”
Fewer NFL players protested this week, but the media coverage is nowhere to be seen. Did you see this covered?

It appears that Trump’s belief that fans are upset by the protesting and that their boycott of the games would result in “fast” changes is correct. Within one week NFL owners became worried about the financial affects of the backlash and, as a result, two-thirds of protesters are no longer protesting.
You likely won’t hear about this in the media. You see, many liberal news outlets don’t want to cover stories that make them look bad and prove Trump was right. Imagine that.

NFL Backlash: ‘Sunday Night Football’ Ratings Tank … Again
http://www.breitbart.com/sports/2017/10/02/nfl-backlash-sunday-night-football-ratings-tank/?Chase DanielAP/Bob Leverone
by JOHN NOLTE2 Oct 20173,886
Another Sunday delivers more bad ratings news for a National Football League already imploding under the weight of its own strident and proven anti-Americanism. Last week, Sunday Night Football hit a new season low, and compared to last year, sunk a full 10 percent. This week, viewership for Sunday Night Football collapsed even further, down another five percent. Compared to this same week last year, viewership fell two percent.
Via Deadline:

With a 11.0/19 in metered market results, last night’s SNF was down 5% from last week when the Washington Redskins beat the Oakland Raiders 27-10. As the league took another week-by-week ratings hit just a month into the 2017-2018 season, year-to-year, Sunday’s game was also down a bit from last year. Compared to the then season low of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ 43-14 smackdown of the Kansas City Chiefs in primetime on October 2, 2016, last night’s SNF dipped 2% in the early numbers.

In the wake of the horror story coming out of Las Vegas, where early reports tell us a number of police officer have been killed or wounded while trying to save others, these ongoing NFL protests, which are in part targeted against police officers, might take on an entirely new dimension of outrage among a vast majority of Americans already disgusted with these millionaire crybabies and their petulant activism.

These NFL protests were not only invented by a former-player who wears “cop pig” socks, just last week Colin Kaepernick’s foundation donated $25,000 to an organization named after convicted cop killer Assata Shakur.

BREAKING: Fox Makes Shock Anthem Announcement
October 2, 2017 Mark Prvulovic
https://www.christiannewsalerts.com/fox-shock-anthem/?utm_medium=push&utm_source=AP&utm_campaign=onesignal
It seems there is one mainstream media outlet that is willing to stand up against the anthem-protests spreading throughout the NFL.

According to Breitbart, Fox Sports will not be broadcasting the National Anthem anymore, becoming the first major NFL broadcast partner to publicly announce they won’t be covering this segment of the game. As such, the protesters are going to have to learn to wallow in obscurity as no one will be seeing their disrespectful publicity stunts anymore.

Fox Sports President Eric Shanks released a statement in which he called this year “one of the more bizarre starts to the season that we have ever had.” He explained that “The standard procedure is not to show them because of the way the commercial format works and the timing of the anthem to get to the kickoff.”

“So I think we’re going to pay attention to events,” he said at an event to promote Fox’s coverage of the 2018 soccer World Cup. “Who knows what’s going to happen? A lot of time is happening between now and then. But I think the plan would be to get back to a normal schedule. I think that’s where we sit today on a Tuesday…It seems like there’s more than 24 hours in a day now, doesn’t there?”

This move to “get back to football” instead of covering these anthem-disrespecting protests is a move that — while surely appreciated by many fans in the league — has garnered an equal amount of criticism by the Left.

“It’s impossible to go back to a normal schedule now when the NFL and its athletes are in the middle of a culture war with the sitting President of the United States,” said Matt Yoder at Awful Announcing. He went to critique Fox, accusing them of infringing on athletes’ rights to protest the US government and the current state of the nation.

Yoder and those in line with his viewpoints fail to recognize that this decision isn’t as much of a politically motivated one as it is about ratings. According to a recent Rasmussen Poll, over one-third of NFL fans are willing to stop watching the games because of these recent protests. With such a large blow to viewership numbers looming on the horizon, the potential financial implications could mean the death knell of the NFL.

With many teams already abandoning the anthem-kneeling idea, news outlets that have chosen to fan these flames of racial discontent are finding themselves in a backed corner. The Tennessee Titans and New Orleans Saints have already announced their intentions to avoid further controversy, remaining in their locker rooms during pre-game ceremonies. Even the Green Bay Packers linked arms on the field but refused to kneel, an important distinction.

The important thing to note is that no critic of these protests is condemning these athletes’ right to express their opinions. The problem here is that their actions are attacking not inequality, but rather the very freedoms and liberties itself that this nation has provided.

The NFL anthem protests have been going on for weeks. Should coaches put a stop to them once and for all?

Even if their behavior is well-meaning, it’s clear that those players don’t “know what they are doing,” as Bill O’Reilly said in a recent interview with Sean Hannity.

The media can’t go against the will of the people for too long, something that they are well aware of. With ratings and viewership on the line, economic pressures will result in other outlets taking the same measure that Fox is.

Hopefully then, with the news cameras turned off, these NFL athletes may forget about this entire affair and actually do something meaningful to help those suffering from the problems they claim to champion.

BREAKING: NFL Fines Pittsburgh Steelers $1m Each For Skipping National Anthem
NOW THIS IS HOW YOU DEAL WITH A PROBLEM
September 24, 2017 Freedom Beefaroni 0
http://thelastlineofdefense.org/breaking-nfl-fines-pittsburgh-steelers-1m-each-for-skipping-national-anthem/
Donald Trump must have really gotten through to the NFL! After he tweeted on Sunday shaming owners for catering to PC culture while allowing players to disrespect our flag, our country, and our national anthem, everyone fell in line.

The Pittsburgh Steelers thought it would be safe to take “taking a knee” to a whole new level by hiding in the locker room while the National Anthem played and everyone elseABC showed reverence for OUR country but they didn’t count on it being extremely costly. reports that:

The entire Pittsburgh Steelers team did not participate in the national anthem ceremony prior to their game with the Chicago Bears this afternoon.

As the “Star-Spangled Banner” played at Soldier Field in Chicago at the start of the game at noon local time, the Steelers’ sideline was virtually empty.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin told a CBS Sports reporter that his team would stay in the locker room during the anthem.

“We’re not participating in the anthem today,” Tomlin said, adding that the action was “not to be disrespectful to the anthem” but to remove the team “from this circumstance.”

“People shouldn’t have to choose” whether to kneel or stand during the anthem, he said. “If a guy feels a need to do something he should not be separated from his teammate who chooses not to.”

“So we’re not participating today,” he said. “That’s our decision.”
It was a bad decision. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, who donated to Donald Trump’s election campaign, announced shortly after the game began that every player who “protested” the National Anthem and showed “immense disrespect to our nation” would be fined a cool million dollars. The NFL rulebook clearly states:

“The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem.

During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition.

It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.”
“It’s one thing to protest, it’s another thing to be blatantly disrespectful to those who have served our country,” Goodell said, noting that “this absolutely should not have happened on Veteran Appreciation Day at Heinz Field.”

BREAKING: NFL SUSPENDS THREE TEAMS FOR STAYING IN LOCKER ROOM DURING NATIONAL ANTHEM

Goodell says that going forward, the National Anthem will be “a time of reverence, and players will be required to treat it as such.”

The NFL has acted disgracefully recently, but as usual Donald Trump (and America) wins.

First Black Medal Of Honor Recipient Never Let The Flag Touch The Ground
http://conservativefighters.com/news/first-black-medal-honor-recipient-never-let-flag-touch-ground/
Every hero is remembered for what he did for others, but sadly that is not Kaepernick case. He is remembered for what he refused to do: stand in honor of the national anthem.

But here is one reminder and someone who Kaepernick and other players can look up to. William H. Carney, first black man to earn the Medal of Honor treated the flag, who was born into slavery years before the Civil War.

After running away to the north to get his freedom, Carney decided to join the Union forces a volunteer sergeant. He could have hidden in Canada and wait for the war to be over but he didn’t do that.

“On July 18, 1863, 54th Massachusetts Colored Infantry Regiment soldiers led the charge on Fort Wagner. During the battle, the color guard, John Wall, was struck by a fatal bullet. He staggered and was about to drop the flag when Carney saw him,” explained the States News Service.

That moment is immortalized in the movie “Glory.”

“Carney seized the flag, and held it high despite fierce fighting, inspiring the other soldiers. He was wounded twice — in his leg and right arm — and bled heavily,” continued States News.

“Although the Army sergeant could hardly crawl, he clutched the flag until he finally reached the walls of Fort Wagner. He planted ‘Old Glory’ in the sand and held it tightly until he was rescued, nearly lifeless from blood loss.”

During his final moment, he handed off the banner to a fellow soldier with a message, “Boys, I only did my duty; the old flag never touched the ground!”

Carney got Medal of Honor for his courageous actions, and his pledge to never let the American flag fall down became an empowering cry for the military and every patriot in America.

People like Kaepernick don’t get to be heroes by disrespecting the flag when there were and still are people like Carney. Kaepernick and the other players will never understand how powerful is the national anthem and flag to the people who love this country.

There can never be a comparison between the football field and the battlefield, and that’s the main reason why these spoiled athletes can’t find it in themselves to love and respect the flag.

NFL Fans Are Burning Their Season Tickets And NFL Gear…
http://conservativefighters.com/news/nfl-fans-burning-season-tickets-nfl-gear/
The battle between NFL players and their fans has begun. The blue collar fans, those who pay overpriced tickets, are sending a huge message to the players. They are the same patriots who took Hillary down and now are going after the NFL.

Americans around this country are starting to protest NFL players who disrespect the flag by burning shirts and tickets. In one video, you can see Brendan Finn, a season ticket holder, burning the tickets.
“I can’t go anymore,” says Finn, “all the respectful NFL players who still respect the flag and our country.” He goes on, “I can’t pay and I can’t watch this happen.” He then explains how he is wearing a shirt that belonged to a cop he worked with who was shot dead during a robbery.

“There are thousands of cops just like him who gave their lives for this country, and these people sit down and protest against cops? I’m burning my tickets,” states Finn. “The end of an era, I’m sad to see it happen, but I’m sad to see what happened to America even more,” says Finn as the tickets burn.

And Finn isn’t the only one. The social media is filled with Americans who have had it enough. Another clip shows a Steelers fan, who is a veteran, burning his Steelers t-shirts while playing the national anthem and waving the American flag.

Robert L Williams, who is another Steelers fan, burned all his NFL gear. He said his great uncle’s “bones are at the bottom of Pearl Harbor.” He said, “We have morals in this country. We stand for this country. My great uncle’s bones are lying in the bottom of Pearl Harbor. For this country. For the flag. For your freedom to play in the NFL and to say whatever you want to say. But you do not disrespect the flag and the country and the Constitution… So watch this stuff burn.”
There are many other examples, like Veteran Jim Heaney, who also burned his NFL gear. Maybe the media is presenting these disrespectful players as they are doing something good, but the honest Americans aren’t falling for that crap.

Another clip on the social media shows Kansas City Chiefs fan saying he is “ashamed” to support his team, because of the disrespectful actions the players demonstrated. He says he will never pay another dime on NFL.

If the anthem protests continue NLF will go down because the most devoted people who are also season tickets holders are the working class and they can’t stand and watch as some spoiled players disrespect this great nation.
