"Do not be surprised , my brothers, if the world hates you."
As Christians, we are to be kind and loving to others.But we are not in a popularity contest.Not everyone will like us.Anyone who has lived with teenagers and assisted living centers knows this.When you draw the line someone will hate you for it.And when you stand for right in the adult world, you make others aware of their wrong ways of living.
Naturally they won't like you.While we are called to be gracious and kind, we are not called to please everyone.There is truth in the old saying,"If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything."Those of us who profess to be followers of Christ do stand for some things.
