Prayer to Put on God's Armor

Heavenly Father, in the Name of Jesus, I come to you to prepare for spiritual warfare. I am putting on armor you have given me.

Around my waist is your Belt (Girdle) of Truth. Please help me stand firm in the truth of your word so I will not be a victim of Satan's lies.

On my chest is your Breastplate of Righteousness. I pray that it will guard my heart. Give me wisdom to confess and repent of my sins. Please keep me pure and holy.

Keep me protected by the blood of Jesus and His righteousness. Help me do my part through the indwelling presence of your Holy Spirit.

I put on my Shoes with the Gospel of Peace. I stand firm on your promises knowing what you have done for others and for me.

Please let your light shine through me. Lord, help me be a faithful and true witness for you to every person I encounter.

I have my Shield of Faith with me always. Help me use it to resist Satan's fiery darts. When it is prominent in my life, I know it will protect me. I will not be vulnerable to spiritual defeat.

I have also put on the Helmet of Salvation to protect my thoughts. Help me through your spirit to overcome any form of deception . . . doubt, denial, deceit or fear.

Through the power of your Holy Spirit, I ask that you keep my mind as well as my heart focused on you! Keep my heart protected by your righteousness. And, Lord, please keep my mind protected by your salvation so Satan will not gain a stronghold in any of my thoughts.

I have the Sword of the Spirit - Your Word. Please let me follow your example and use it to destroy the tempting words of Satan.

Realizing the Power of Prayer I bring before you requests for my Christian friends . . .

Also, I pray for those who are unsaved . . .

Thank you Father, for your armor and your love for me and others. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. With your whole armor, I fully expect to live in spiritual victory.
