Vanessa Trump shocked the news cycle when she filed for divorce last week.

Photos from President Trump’s January 30 State of the Union address show that Vanessa was conspicuously absent, a possible snub of her husband as well as the president. Is it possible that a resurfaced picture of the family demonstrates what was to come?

Although PageSix reported on rumors that Vanessa’s marriage with Donald Trump Junior was on the rocks on March 14, there was no definitive proof until the divorce papers were officially in at Manhattan court the next day.

It came as a surprise — but there might have been signs more than a month before that things weren’t working out.

Most of Trump’s family was in attendance at the State of the Union, with one notable exception. Although the media was abuzz about Melania’s separate arrival, few noticed that Vanessa Trump was nowhere to be seen for the whole night.

At the time, Vanessa’s absence seemed hardly worth reporting — but in retrospect, it might have been a sign of things to come, according to Elite Daily.

Elite Daily speculates that Vanessa’s absence might have foretold the rumors and eventual divorce that weren’t reported on until PageSix’s March 14 story speculating on the gossip.
