If you been led to believe that peanut butter, almonds and spinach are good for you, today's email might shock you and is important to read, because these 3 healthy foods could be contributing to health problems in your body.

Let's take a quick look at why...

1. Peanut butter

While peanut butter does contain a small amount of protein and vitamins/minerals, the cons outweigh the pros on this food.

First of all, peanuts contain one of the highest concentrations of aflatoxin, which is a mold toxin that is created in peanuts due to storage in moist conditions.

Peanut butter is also very high in inflammatory omega-6 fats and due to the processing of peanut butter, those omega 6 fats are in a harmful oxidized state.

Most people already get too much omega 6 fats from vegetable oils (soy, corn, canola, etc), and this contributes to insulin resistance, heart disease, brain inflammation, cancer, and lots more health problems, since most people are currently eating 5-10x more omega-6 fats than we should be eating in a healthy diet.

Lastly, peanut butter also contains medium amounts of oxalates, which are plant-based antinutrients that when consumed in excess can contribute to kidney stones, thyroid and gut problems, joint problems and more.

2. Spinach

Spinach is promoted as a healthy green, but contains FAR more downsides than good sides. Spinach is one of the highest oxalate foods that's commonly eaten by modern humans (in addition to beet greens, beets, almonds, and other veggies and nuts).

The amount of oxalates in a serving of spinach is extremely high, up to 600 mg in a normal sized bowl.

The "safe" amount of oxalates in a daily diet according to world renowned oxalate expert Sally Norton should be between 100-200 mg per day total to avoid a lot of the health problems caused by high oxalate plants.

So, you can see how concerning spinach is with the extremely high oxalate levels.

As mentioned above, eating too much oxalates too frequently can cause serious issues such as kidney stones, thyroid problems, gut damage, skin issues, and joint pain.

In fact, some people have even gotten "oxalate poisoning" by eating green smoothies too often and had to go to the ER for kidney failure.

3. Almonds

Although almonds and almond milk are marketed as healthy, they also contain many downsides, including all of the negatives mentioned above about too much omega 6 fats and too much oxalates.

They're probably ok in your diet occasionally, but I personally avoid eating almonds too often because of these issues with excess oxalates and omega 6 fats.

A female prisoner in New Jersey said that she was sexually assaulted by a female-identifying man inside a women's prison and that the facility has failed to protect prisoners from other transgender inmates.

The accused was identified only by his initials in a lawsuit against the New Jersey Department of Corrections that claimed a female inmate was assaulted in September and October 2022, the Daily Mail reported.

The supposed all-female prison, the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women, has been rife with controversy. The latest claim is that there was a lack of "corrective action" taken by prison guards about the "sexually aggressive and harassing behavior of the transgenders."

The unnamed alleged victim, who has been in prison since 2003, said she reported the assaults by the male inmate to staff but was handed disciplinary action herself as a result.

The transgender inmate has reportedly been transferred to a male facility.

The lawsuit also claimed that the department of corrections failed to implement actions to protect inmates after "two female inmates became pregnant from sexual interactions with transgenders."

This likely referred to Demi Minor, a 27-year-old male prisoner who identifies as transgender. He was transferred to a male facility because he had impregnated two inmates at the New Jersey women's prison.


According to his blog, Justice 4 Demi, Minor felt "hopeless" because prison officials doubted that he is transgender, then attempted to remove his testicles with a razor.

Another claim made in the lawsuit alleged that transgender prisoners were housed alongside females in areas where there were no security cameras.

In a different lawsuit against the New Jersey Department of Corrections, yet another former inmate at the same prison claimed she was forced to have sex with a male prison guard.

The guard was accused of leading the woman into a bathroom, switching off his body camera, and telling the woman he could make her time at the prison "really good" and that she did not "want to leave with missing teeth."

Governor of New Jersey Phil Murphy publicly stated in 2021 that the prison should be closed due to the consistent abuse scandals.

The state's current budget has now allotted $90 million to close the prison.

Projected costs for a new prison are approximately $300 million.

In a controversial move, Democratic Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis charged former President Donald Trump last month under Georgia's Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act. It appears Willis, the proud daughter of a top Black Panther, may have unwittingly opened Pandora's box as it pertains to the acceptability of lawfare in the state — to the detriment of her fellow leftists.

Georgia's Republican attorney general made clear Tuesday that the gloves are now off, indicting 61 radicals under the same statute.

Now with the shoe on the other foot, leftists are decrying the RICO charges, calling them "anti-democratic," reported the Associated Press.

What's the background?
Leftist militants have long campaigned against the construction of the new $90 million police training center in Dekalb County's South River Forest, employing terroristic tactics to get their way.

Gov. Brian Kemp (R) noted earlier this year that "domestic terrorism will NOT be tolerated in this state. ... We will not rest until those who use violence and intimidation for an extremist end are brought to justice."

In January, Attorney General Chris Carr put the extremists — who have enjoyed support from Democrat-affiliated entities and other liberal outfits — on notice, stressing, "We are not Oregon. We are not California. We are not Washington. You cannot come to our state, break our laws, throw rocks at buildings, damage property, and shoot police officers. You can and you will be charged, and that's exactly what we're doing."


In the months since, dozens of radicals including a Southern Poverty Law Center attorney have been charged in connection to the so-called "Stop Cop City" movement.

Three dozen have been slapped with domestic terrorism charges. Three have been hit with felony intimidation charges for reportedly distributing flyers accusing a state trooper of being a "murderer" for killing a violent extremist. Three radicals involved with the Atlanta Solidarity Fund were charged in May with charities fraud and money laundering.

While some of these charges might ultimately stick, it appears that Carr is not taking anything for granted. Besides, now if convicted under RICO, the extremists' sentences could be greatly compounded.

Accountability
Carr came through Tuesday with a sweeping indictment, slapping 61 extremists in Fulton County with racketeering charges.

All of those indicted are members of Defend the Atlanta Forest, which Carr's office characterized in a statement as an "anarchist, anti-police, and anti-business extremist organization."

Carr said in press conference concerning the charges, "As the indictment asserts, members of Defend the Atlanta Forest subscribe to a philosophy of anarchy. They hold a core belief that society should abolish police, government, and private business, and as further alleged, they're willing to bring about such changes 'by any means necessary,'" reported the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The Georgia attorney general's office indicated the 61 defendants "are alleged to have conspired together to prevent the construction of the Atlanta Public Safety Training Center by conducting, coordinating, and organizing acts of violence, intimidation, and property destruction in Fulton County, elsewhere in the State of Georgia, and other states."

Forty-three of the defendants were previously charged with domestic terrorism.

Of the 61 suspects indicted, only 13 are from Georgia.

"As this indictment shows, looking the other way when violence occurs is not an option in Georgia," said Carr.

"If you come to our state and shoot a police officer, throw Molotov cocktails at law enforcement, set fire to police vehicles, damage construction equipment, vandalize private homes and businesses, and terrorize their occupants, you can and will be held accountable," Carr continued. "We will not waver when it comes to keeping people safe, enforcing the rule of law, and ensuring those who engage in criminal activity are vigorously pursued and aggressively prosecuted."

Among the 225 incidents identified in the indictments, one was the "Night of Rage" planned for Jan. 21, 2023, in the aftermath of a police-involved shooting. An extremist had shot a Georgia State Patrol trooper in the gut, but that's not what enraged leftists. Instead, the anti-police radicals took issue with law enforcement officers subsequently putting the leftist gunman in the ground.

TheBlaze previously reported that the son of House Democratic Whip Katherine Clark (D-Mass.), not among those named in the indictment, got a slap on the wrists for participating in the so-called night of rage. Police indicated Jared Dowell not only assaulted an officer but vandalized a Boston monument, writing, "NO COP CITY" and "ACAB."

Other incidents accounted for in the indictment include: firebombings on police officers and law enforcement offices; attacks on firefighters and medics; sabotage on construction equipment; and intimidation efforts at the home of at least one state trooper.

Greg Bluestein of the Journal-Constitution confirmed that the Fulton County grand jury used to indict Trump and his co-defendants was the same that handed up the indictments against the 61 leftists.

The case has been assigned to Fulton County Superior Court Judge Kimberly Esmond Adams.

Outrage
The Cop City Vote Coalition, a radical outfit dedicated to preventing the construction of the police training center, called the charges "authoritarian" and "anti-democratic," suggesting in a statement, "These charges, like the previous repressive prosecutions by the State of Georgia, seek to intimidate protestors, legal observers, and bail funds alike, and send the chilling message that any dissent to Cop City will be punished with the full power and violence of the government."

The ACLU called the indictments "unprecedented and extremely concerning," adding that the organization is "tracking the situation closely."

NYC health department says masking up is 'good idea' over Labor Day weekend

People in New York are being encouraged to mask up this Labor Day weekend as the number of COVID-19 cases rise, including two new variants. New York City's health department spokesman said wearing a mask could be a "good idea" when in crowded places this holiday weekend, as many will be in large groups. The Daily Mail As of August 29, the city's infection rate is around 18 per 100,000 people. However, this number could be a significant underestimate, as people are not testing themselves for the virus as frequently as they did in the past.
While hospitalizations have been on the rise, with 502 patients who contracted the illness admitted to the city's hospitals on August 31, it has also been reported that many COVID patients have been admitted due to other health issues.
There are two new variants that could be responsible for the sudden rise in cases. The first is an easily transmissible variant called EG.5, or Eris, which is thought to be the primary culprit behind the increase in illnesses. However, there is a second, Pirola, or BA.2.86, which was apparently spotted in New York City's wastewater this week, per the report. "As cases rise, precautions become increasingly important, especially for our most vulnerable New Yorkers who are older, disabled, or have underlying health conditions," Dr. Ashwin Vasan said, commissioner of NYC's health department.
"Antibodies from vaccination and prior infection will continue to provide some protection, as will available antiviral treatments like Paxlovid, which is still effective against all circulating strains of Covid."

The Pirola variant has been identified in Virginia, Ohio, Texas, and Michigan. It has a number of different variants that make it easier to evade immunity and vaccinations.

While COVID-19 cases have continually increased over the past few weeks, they still remain well below the peak of 44,000 recorder earlier this year. It is uncertain if there are other states planning to institute a compulsory mask policy as the cooler months approach.

The former Navy SEAL who claimed to have killed Osama bin Laden was arrested in Texas.

Robert J. O’Neill, 47, was arrested on Wednesday in Frisco, Texas. Murray agreed and openly questioned the "value" of snapping Trump's mug shot and releasing it to the public.

"He does use these. I mean, he uses these for fundraising. He uses these to rally his base," she said. "I mean, that's one of the questions about the sort of value of a mug shot in this case, right? Sure, it's treating Donald Trump, if he does get one, the same as any other defendant. But you are also giving him a photo that there is no doubt that he is going to use on promotional material, he's going to use on fundraising material."

In Trump's three other criminal cases — one brought by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D) and two by special counsel Jack Smith — Trump's mug shot was not taken. He is, after all, one of the most well-known political figures in the world and one whom the Secret Service is statutorily obligated to protect.

That Trump is one of the most recognizable people on the planet raises an important question: Is the mug shot necessary?

"Do we really need to do this, when we're talking about a former president of the United States?" Murray pondered. "We know what he looks like."

Trump, in fact, is already using his mug shot to fundraise for his campaign — and it will undoubtedly be monetarily effective.

Not long after Trump's processing at the Fulton County jail, he used his first return post to X (formally Twitter) to release his mug shot in a simple, yet highly effective campaign advertisement.

The Biden administration's "unlawful food stamp expansion" is driving "massive spikes in grocery prices," a new government watchdog report finds.A study released Thursday by the Foundation for Government Accountability reported that the largest permanent increase in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program in 2021 has been linked to a national spike in grocery prices. "In 2021, the Biden administration rushed through the largest permanent increase in food stamp benefits since the program was created, hiking benefits by an average of 27 percent," the report stated.

The FGA accused the Biden admin of pushing through an "unlawful expansion" of the program and called on Congress to repeal it and require congressional approval moving forward.
"This unlawful expansion — which bypassed Congress — will cost taxpayers $250 billion over the next decade and has heavily contributed to soaring grocery prices," the report continued. "Congress should repeal President Biden's unlawful food stamp expansion and ensure this type of executive overreach cannot happen again. In doing so, Congress could save taxpayers more than $193 billion over the next decade."

In 2022, SNAP spending hit "a record-high $119 billion." The report described the spike as "a sixfold increase over the last two decades." Between 2019 and 2022, the program's spending more than doubled from $4.5 billion to $11 billion.

The Congressional Budget Office estimated that the food stamp expansion could cost United States taxpayers more than $1 trillion over the next decade.

Jonathan Ingram, vice president of policy and research at the FGA, told Fox News Digital, "USDA cooked their books to hike food stamp benefits by 27% — the largest permanent increase in program history. And they bypassed Congress to do it."

"Data show the Biden administration's overreach led to massive spikes in grocery prices. They're feeding inflation, not stopping hunger," Ingram added.

The FGA reported that, according to the World Bank, for every 12.5% increase in SNAP spending, grocery prices increase by 1%.

Between December 2019 and March 2023, margarine costs rose 59%, eggs 54%, and frozen vegetables 36%, the Labor Department reported.

"Food stamp spending hikes could account for at least two-thirds of that increase. Per-capita food stamp spending grew by more than 90 percent between December 2019 and March 2023 — even after the pandemic-related emergency allotments expired. After accounting for emergency allotments and pandemic EBT programs, total food stamp spending had nearly tripled while those programs were in effect. This suggests food stamp spending increases fueled grocery price increases of more than 15 percent," the study found.

The House Judiciary Committee is launching an investigation into Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (D) and the indictment of former President Donald Trump.
In a letter to Willis, Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R) explicitly questioned her motivations for prosecuting Trump.
"Your indictment and prosecution implicate substantial federal interests, and the circumstances surrounding your actions raise serious concerns about whether they are politically motivated," he wrote.

Regarding questions about her motivation, Jordan raised five issues:

four days before the indictment was announced, Willis "launched a new campaign fundraising website that highlighted" her investigation into Trump;
the infamous forewoman of the special grand jury that Willis convened who bragged about subpoenaing Trump;
the allegedly accidental release of a document by a Fulton County clerk showing the forthcoming criminal charges against Trump hours before the grand jury officially voted;
a judge disqualified Willis from targeting Georgia Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones (R) in her investigation; and
Fulton County officials announcing they will process Trump at the local jail like any other criminal, including forcing him to take a mug shot and post bond.
Jordan also raised concerns about the timing of the investigation, noting that Willis wants to begin trial during the heart of primary season next spring.

Additionally, Jordan said the indictment "appears to be an attempt to use state criminal law to regulate the conduct of federal officers acting in their official capacities," which raises Supremacy Clause concerns. He also noted that Congress has a vested interest in the welfare of former presidents and possesses oversight power over federal funds distributed to local law enforcement agencies.

Finally, Jordan told Willis there are "questions about whether and how your office coordinated with DOJ Special Counsel Jack Smith during the course of this investigation."

The top House Judiciary Committee Republican thus requested documents from Willis' office regarding its use of federal funds, documents or communications with the DOJ (including special counsel Jack Smith's office), and any documents and communications with any federal officials about her investigation.

In a one-sentence statement, Fulton County District Attorney's Office spokesperson Pallavi Bailey said, "We're declining to comment on that."

The letter was sent just hours before Trump is expected to surrender at the Fulton County jail. His bond has been set at $200,000.

A governing body for psychologists in Canada ordered Dr. Jordan Peterson to undergo re-education training after complete strangers took issue with views he had expressed online.
He fought back, but a Canadian court just upheld the regulator's order.
What's the background?
Peterson was previously in good standing with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and had no public record of any complaints. However, he made the mistake of angering strangers online with opinions at odds with leftist speech codes and dogmas.

TheBlaze previously reported that individuals whom Peterson indicated were neither clients nor familiar with his clients complained to the CPO, which then launched an investigation into the cultural commentator.

The CPO's inquiries, complaints, and reports committee concluded in November 2022 that the doctor's comments were "degrading, demeaning and unprofessional," adding that his conduct "poses moderate risks to the public" and runs the risk of "undermining public trust in the profession of psychology, and trust in the college's ability to regulate the profession in the public interest."

Peterson's offending speech included:

criticism of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Trudeau's former chief of staff, Gerald Butts, who resigned amid the liberal leader's disgraceful and damning SNC Lavalin scandal;
a suggestion that the doctor who cut off actress Elliot Page's healthy breasts was a "criminal physician"; and
a retweet of a comment made by the leader of Canada's official opposition party regarding the unnecessary severity of COVID lockdowns.
Peterson refused to undergo the regulatory board's equivalent of a Maoist struggle session or admit fault over his lawful speech.

The state of Texas is suing Planned Parenthood, and the organization argued that it may go out of business if the lawsuit is successful.

The lawsuit alleges that Planned Parenthood wrongfully accepted payment from Medicaid during a time when the state was suing to end those funds.

Texas first notified the abortion provider that it would end Medicaid payments in December 2016. The organization sued and got a federal court to agree with it, which allowed it to continue Medicaid. In 2020, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit reversed that ruling, and it was upheld in 2021.

The lawsuit says that Planned Parenthood filed a legal appeal rather than a legislative appeal and argues that all payments accepted by the organization after Feb. 1, 2017, were fraudulent.

Texas is seeking $17 million in reimbursed funds.

Abortion advocates are also angry that the case will be adjudicated by federal Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk, who ruled against the Biden administration in April and issued a stay against the sale of the abortion drug mifepristone.
