A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The TRUE & LIVING GOD made you to be holy and you are responsible for
knowing and being that.

OUR MIGHTY GOD
"YOUR mighty acts, to all who are to come, YOUR beneficence
(generosity) , high as the heavens, O GOD, YOU WHO have done great
things; O GOD, who is like YOU!" [Psalms (Tehillym) 71. 19 Tanakh,
Kethuvim]

The IMMEASURABLE GOD OF THE UNIVERSE is merciful towards us in that HE
chooses to show us what HE is like and that HE wishes to dwell within
us. [Ephesians 2. 19 - 22] We cannot begin to know everything about
HIM, however, for we are "the thing formed." [Romans 9. 20] Yet, HOLY
SCRIPTURE does speak about "that which may be known of GOD." [Romans 1.
19]

The ETERNAL ONE, blessed be HE, is the GREAT GOD OF HOPE [Romans 15.
13], the GOD OF PEACE and the GOD of all grace. [1 Peter 5. 10] The
ALMIGHTY GIVER OF LIFE is rich in mercy [Ephesians 2. 4] and HE "cannot
lie." [Titus 1. 2] Our OMNISCIENT REDEEMER is also the "JUDGE of all"
[Hebrews 12. 23], as well as "a CONSUMING FIRE." [Hebrews 12. 29] The
Throne of the LORD is forever [Hebrews 1. 8], the "worlds were framed
by" HIM. [Hebrews 11. 3] In fact, GOD "built all things" [Hebrews 3. 4]
and preserves them to keep them all alive. [Nehemiah/Nechemah 9. 6]
"For by HIM all things were created that are in heaven and that are on
earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or
principalities or powers. All things were created through HIM and for
HIM. And HE is before all things, and in HIM all things consist."
[Colossians 1. 16 - 17]

It is the GLORIOUS LORD GOD alone WHO "gives the increase" [1
Corinthians 3. 7], WHO "has reconciled us to HIMSELF by JESUS CHRIST" [2
Corinthians 5. 18], WHO "raises the dead." [Philippians 4. 19] HIS
peace is perfect and beyond all understanding. [Philippians 4. 7]

"There is no power but of GOD" [Romans 13. 1] moreover "the foolishness
of GOD is wiser than men and the weakness of GOD is stronger than men."
[1 Corinthians 1. 25] "There is no other GOD but ONE." [1 Corinthians
8. 4] The ALMIGHTY ONE is unique, unlike anything or anyone, but HIS
creation reflects HIM. All that is true and wise and lovely is defined
by HIS measure. No wonder John tells us, "When I saw HIM, I fell at
HIS feet as dead" [Revelation 1. 17]; to which the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA
responded: "Fear not, I AM the FIRST and the LAST."

The HOLY ONE, CREATOR GOD is worthy of our praise. "Praise our GOD, all
you HIS servants, and you that fear HIM, both small and great."
[Revelation 19. 5] Hallelu'YAH! How could we help but worship and
adore HIM!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Praised are YOU, O LORD GOD, for great is YOUR love for us and YOUR
compassion boundless. Be gracious to us that we may understand and
fulfill the teachings of YOUR REVERED WORD. Enlighten our eyes in YOUR
Law that we may cling to YOUR commandments. Thank YOU for YOUR saving
power, for from YOU comes our help. Draw us nearer to YOU to serve YOU
in faithfulness. Joyfully, we lift our voices and proclaim YOUR PRECIOUS
NAME…none so lovely in all the earth!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 30 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Mon 21 Mar 2011, 3:33 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Our trails are like a well that others draw water from so they can
profit from where we have been. And, our path has a purpose beyond
where it leads.

AMALEK: THE ETERNAL ENEMY
"Jacob shall again have calm and quiet with none to trouble him; for I
am with you to deliver you, declares the LORD. I will make an end of all
the nations among which I have dispersed you; but I will not make an end
of you!" [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 30. 10 - 11 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The Reason: Because the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY said so! The king of Egypt
could not weaken them (the Jewish people) [Exodus/Shemot 1. 9-12]; the
waters of the Red Sea could not drown them [Exodus/Shemot 14. 13-31];
Balaam could not curse them [Numbers/B'Midvar 23. 8]; the great fish
could not digest them [Jonah/Yonah 1. 17; 2. 10]; the fiery furnace
could not devour them [Daniel/Danyel 3. 16 - 28]; Haman's gallows could
not hang them [Esther/Ester 5 14; 8. 1 - 2]; nations could not
assimilate them [Esther/Ester 3. 8; Numbers/B'Midvar 23. 9]; and,
dictators cannot annihilate them. [Isaiah/Yeshayah 14. 1 - 2; 1
Chronicles/Dibre Hayamin Alef 17. 21 - 22]

No nation demonstrates as much bitterness toward the Israelites as did
the Amalekites. The ancient Israelites long remembered how this brutal
tribe attacked women, children, the aged, and the sick as they wandered
through the wilderness. The Israelites were told by the GOD MOST HIGH
that since Amalek did not revere or regard HIM, they were not to forget
what Amalek did "you shall BLOT OUT the memory of Amalek from under
heaven. Do not forget!" [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 25. 19 Tanakh, Torah]

It was not until the period of King Saul, son of Kish, who came from the
tribe of Benjamin, that there was an opportunity to deal a final blow to
the Amalekites. Unfortunately, King Saul was unable to completely
destroy the Amalekites; they survived only to haunt Israel and become a
famed personification of evil.

When Haman's lineage is identified in the Scroll of Esther, he is known
as "the Agagite" [Esther/Ester 3. 1], the name given to the last king of
the Amalekites captured under Saul. When Mordecai's pedigree is
identified, he is known as a descendant of "Kish, a Benjaminite"
[Esther/Ester 2. 5], the father of Saul.

The author (perhaps Mordecai, as he did keep records see 9. 20) of the
Megillah of Ester (Scroll of Esther) has remarkably brought together
these two central male characters to finish what could not be done a
thousand years earlier. The victory of Light over Darkness; of
Righteousness over Wickedness could now be played out between Mordecai
and Haman. For the Jewish people, the Amalekites and Haman became a
metaphor for wicked people or individuals. . . respectively, whose
hatred of Jews was unsatisfiable and merciless.

The Scroll of Esther has brilliantly woven together elements of the
ancient Israelite history by plucking out the unfinished business
between Saul and the Amalekites, as described in 1 Samuel 15; and by
projecting that clash between Amalek and Israel against the backdrop of
the story of Esther. On the Sabbath before Purim, Sabbath Zakhor
(Sabbath of Remembrance) , a special section from the TORAH is read,
reminding Israel to remember Amalek, and the haf-TORAH is the story of
Saul and his failure to destroy this wicked and vicious tribe.

The struggle between good and evil never ceases, and so the world of
Amalek and Haman are still mentioned by Jews everywhere when they need
to identify a people who seeks to destroy them, or an individual who
hates them.

"Purim (lots - referring to the lots cast by Haman to determine the day
decreed for the Jewish annihilation) shall never cease among the Jews,
and the memory of them shall never perish among their descendants. "
[Esther (Ester) 9. 28 Tanakh, Kethuvim] It is an "occasion for joy and
gladness, happy festivals for the House of Judah." [Zechariah
(Zecharyah) 8. 19 Tanakh, Nevi'im] This holiday is linked to love,
truth, integrity and peace.

Although there will be an Amalek in every generation who will try to
destroy, not only the Jewish people, but all of GOD'S elect, the
followers of the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA have a greater deliverance than the
Jews of old; a greater enemy than Haman, but a "GREATER DELIVERER" than
Queen Esther. We, who know the MIGHTY CONQUEROR, remember HIS promise
that we also shall be conquerors over every foe. The LORD JESUS has all
power in heaven and earth declared to all who believe on HIM: "Behold,
I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over
all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you."
[Luke 10. 19 - 20] And, we celebrate because our names are "Written in
Heaven in the LAMB'S BOOK OF LIFE!"

"HallaluYAH! Sing to the LORD a new song, HIS praises in the
congregation of HIS faithful people. Let Israel rejoice in their MAKER;
let the children of Zion be joyful in their KING. Let them praise HIS
NAME in dance; Let them sing praises to HIM with the timbrel and lyre.
For the LORD takes pleasure in HIS people; HE will beautify the humble
with salvation. Let the faithful exult in glory! Let them shout for joy
on their beds. Let high praises (Hosanna! Adoration! Honor!), of GOD be
in their mouth, and a double-edged sword in their hands to inflict
vengeance on the nations, and punishment on the peoples; binding their
kings with shackles, their nobles with fetters of iron; to carry out
judgment written against them — This is the glory of all HIS
faithful people. HalleluYAH." [Psalms/Tehillym 149 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
Praise GOD for the victory!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
"Hag Semaiach (Good Holiday)!"
The title "Megillah Esther" ("Scroll [entire story] of Esther") actually
mean "revealing the hidden." Unlike every other Book in HOLY WRIT,
Megillah Esther never mentions GOD'S nAME even once but the hidden hand
of the ALMIGHTY ONE is revealed through the events. After all, there is
no such thing as coincidence with our loving HEAVENLY FATHER!
The Book of Esther is read to recall the miracle of salvation of the
Jews and to remind us that in any generation when any type of Haman
raises his hand against GOD'S chosen people, we can expect another
miracle.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 30 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Sun 20 Mar 2011, 11:32 am

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A man should live if only to satisfy his curiosity.

WORDS OF PEACE & TRUTH
"Dispatches were sent to all the Jews in the one hundred and
twenty-seven provinces of the realm of Ahasuerus, with words of peace
and truth, of equity and honesty." [Esther (Ester) 9. 30 Tanakh,
Kethuvim]

The Megillah (as it is commonly called) of Ester is unique in that it
contains no explicit mention of GOD {* see footnote}, yet the hand of
the ALMIGHTY BELOVED LORD is clearly evident. It was after their
remarkable deliverance from the genocide that had been connived for them
by wicked Haman, that Mordecai wrote the "words of peace and truth" to
all the Jewish people establishing an annual holiday — Purim —
to commemorate the providential winning of peace with their enemies,
truth triumphing over evil and deception.

This combination of words, peace and truth, was also used by King
Hezekiah when the LORD ETERNAL promised safety for his kingdom as long
as he lived. "Peace and truth is assured for my time." [2 Kings
(Melakhim Bet) 20. 19 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Likewise, the ALMIGHTY ONE
promised HIS people deliverance from their Babylonian captors, "I will
heal them and reveal to them abundance of true favor peace and truth."
[Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 33. 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Through the Prophet
Zechariah, the MOST HOLY ONE promised HIS people a future lasting peace.
They were instructed to honour in celebration the feasts of the fourth,
fifth, seventh, and tenth month as "occasions for joy and gladness,
happy festivals for the House of Judah; therefore you must love honesty
and integrity, truth and peace." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 8. 19 Tanakh,
Nevi'im]

"Who will stand up for me against wicked men? Who will stand up for me
against the workers of iniquity?" [Psalms (Tehillym) 94. 16 Tanakh,
Kethuvim] When men accept the HOLY CREATOR WHO is TRUTH, the PRINCE OF
PEACE, YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, there will be REAL PEACE for "the peace of
GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds
through CHRIST JESUS." [Philippians 4. 7] The KING of kings is the ONE
to whom the battle belongs; and in HIM, we are more then conquerors.

* Footnote: The Book of Ester does, in fact, contain the name "YEHOWAH"
five times. However, it is concealed in the original Hebrew in
extraordinary acrostic form. Although ALMIGHTY GOD was never
specifically named in the Megillah of Ester, HE was there! "If you keep
silent in this crisis, RELIEF and DELIVERANCE will arise for the Jews
from another place." [Esther (Ester) 4. 14 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
Mordecai's "words of peace and truth" unquestionably spoke of the LORD
JESUS CHRIST — the "UNIQUE DELIVERER" the "HOPE OF ISRAEL" and every
nation in all the world. May we not rest or remain silent until
Jerusalem becomes the praise of all the earth!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
As we bid farewell to Shabbas Zakhor — Sabbath of Remembrance, our
prayer is that GOD, WHO'S PRESENCE dwells within us, bless you
abundantly and guard you, our dear ones in the coming week. May some of
the sweetness of Sabbath be present throughout each day so they are
filled with love and unselfishness — that happiness and contentment
may abide in our homes. In tranquil joy of spirit, with pure speech and
holy melody exclaim: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD OF HOSTS, the whole
earth is full of HIS glory!".
"Hag Semaiach — Good Holiday!" Always remember, faith celebrates
even before the victory is seen!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 30 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Sat 19 Mar 2011, 7:05 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Never waste good agony.

A PURIM STORY
Purim is the annual celebration of the great deliverance of the Jewish
people in the days of Queen Hadassah (Ester — Hadassah's captive
name), as recorded in the Book of Esther in HOLY SCRIPTURE. The Jewish
TALMUD declares, "When Adar enters, JOY is increased." Purim is the
commemorative festival celebrated in the month of Adar on the 13th &
14th day (March 19 – 20 sundown to sundown; this is II Adar - a
Jewish leap year which adds an extra month). These holy days are
observed to honour the defeat of the enemies of GOD'S people. Purim
commemorates the downfall of Haman (means: tumult), the enemy of the
Jewish people in the Persian Empire. As such, Haman is a type of Satan,
the accuser — the one who has throughout history, sought to
eliminate the Hebrew race. Haman had the king's servants cast lots
(purim) to determine the date on which the Jews would be destroyed, but
his wicked plan was thwarted because of GOD'S great mercy and the
obedience of Hadassah (Queen Ester).

"Purim (casting of lots)" is explained like this: Haman, having been
warned that all enemies of the Jews had in the past met with
frustration, being superstitious, decided that by a simple casting of
lots he would determine the most favorable day for the slaughter. The
lots indicated that day to be the 13th day of Adar, the 12th month.
But, as it turned out, Haman was hanged on the same gallows which he had
previously prepared for Mordecai, and all the Jews escaped a terrible
massacre. The next day, the 14th of Adar, the victory was joyously
celebrated.

After the Persian royal advisor, Haman's genocidal plot to rid the
world of the Jewish people was foiled, "V'nahafoch Hu (roughly
interpreted: …and the tables were turned)!" became the rallying cry
of the Jewish people during the month of Adar. Jewish sages have
advised [Tractate Ta'anit 29a] Jews throughout history to seek
scheduling critical events, in which DIVINE assistance is desired,
during the month of Adar.

Many years after Haman and his ten sons were hanged on a wooden
gallows, our sins were judged and paid for on a wooden cross — when
the HOLY ONE made HIS ultimate triumph over all wickedness, HE gave HIS
ONLY BEGOTTEN SON to mankind that they might be set free. The vile
Accuser (Satan) suffered a deathblow when sin's power was broken as the
LORD YESHUA uttered the words, "It is finished!" [John 19. 30] Lots
(purim) were also cast at YESHUA'S crucifixion — this time it was
for the garments of the SAVIOR, as had been amazingly prophesied, "They
divided MY clothes among themselves, casting lots for MY garments."
[Psalms (Tehillym) 22. 18 Tanakh, Kethuvim] May we ever sanctify and
praise the PRECIOUS NAME of the LORD GOD for defeating all our enemies,
"With GOD we shall triumph; HE will trample our foes." [Psalms
(Tehillym) 60. 12 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Queen Hadassah (Ester) had been
willing to die for her people's salvation. MESSIAH YESHUA, the
EVERLASTING KING, was not only willing, but did die in order that HIS
people would be saved from eternal destruction!

Jewish people do not merely say — this too shall pass — rather,
he is emphatically confident that — "GOD willing, this too shall
pass" — and when it passes the Jewish people will somehow be the
better for having endured . . .
"It happened just a brief sixty plus years ago, there was a useless
little Jew standing in the huge unruly crowd when Hitler gave one of his
extremely violent and rabid speeches promising the extermination of the
Jewish people. The bearded old Israelite chuckled delightedly
throughout the entire harsh and merciless performance. Noticing his
absurd and inappropriate laughter, the fascist Fuehrer shrieked, "You
fool! You idiot! What are you so happy about when I just threatened the
extermination of your people?"
"So, I'll tell you already" — answered the old man. "Pharaoh swore
to destroy us, and you know that he himself was destroyed. As a
consequence, we have a lovely holiday called Passover when we eat matzoh
and knaidlach and drink wine."
"The crazy madman, Haman, also wanted to destroy us" continued the Jew
"and he was hanged on his own gallows. Now we have the beautiful
festival of Purim where we eat hamantaschen (3-cornered fruit-filled
cookie) and kreplach (stuffed-meat pies) and rejoice greatly."
"When Antiochus Epiphanes desecrated our Temple and tried to killed
all who would not bow to his idol god, Zeus. And we celebrate for eight
days every year the Festival of Lights (Chanukkah) with latkes and
sufganiyot (jelly donut) and other various fried goodies.
And all the while you were standing up there ranting-and- raving,
spouting out hot air and shouting insanely against the Jews...I couldn't
help thinking about what a glorious time we will have when you too are
destroyed, and about the delicious things we will eat to celebrate That
Occasion."

There is a portion of the TALMUD that reads: "When the Jew looks like a
dog, then MESSIAH will come." This was never understood, until the 1991
Persian Gulf War, Desert Storm brought about an understanding — when
the Jewish people were forced to wear gas masks — since anyone
wearing them definitely, without a doubt. . . looks like a dog.

As we remember the BLESSED DELIVERER, MESSIAH YESHUA and as the Jewish
people remember Queen Hadassah, we can praise HIM even as did King
David: "Bless the LORD, O my soul, and my being, bless HIS HOLY NAME.
Bless the LORD, O my soul and do not forget all HIS bountiful benefits.
HE forgives all your sins, heals all your diseases." [Psalms (Tehillym)
103. 1 - 3 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Assuredly, JESUS' return is imminent, HE
is coming very soon! Are you ready?

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Welcome Sabbath Zakhor — Sabbath of Remembrance! Those who keep the
Desire of Days (Sabbath) and call it their delight will be satiated and
delighted with GOD'S goodness. Praised are YOU, YEHOWAH our GOD,
SOVEREIGN OF THE UNIVERSE, WHO makes us holy with YOUR mitzvoth and
greatly favours us with the Holy Shabbat, lovingly and graciously given
to us.
"Hag Semaiach (Good Holiday)!"
There are four "mitzvot" (good deeds) specific to the Holiday of Purim:
1) Reading the Megillah (Scroll of Esther) which I encourage you to do,
either personally or with your family.
2) Enjoying a Festive meal.
3) Sharing special time with friends/family.
4) Giving gifts to the poor — either locally or giving an offering
to help a family in the Promised Land of Israel.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The best disciple is one who broadens the knowledge of his master.

KNOWING GOD'S WILL
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own
understanding. In all your ways acknowledge HIM, and HE will make your
paths smooth." [Proverbs (Mishle) 3. 5 - 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The key to knowing the will of ALMIGHTY GOD is the willingness and
determination to follow it, before knowing it. "If any man will do HIS
will, he shall know concerning the doctrine." [John 7. 17] The best
indicator as to whether one is really willing to follow the HOLY ONE'S
command is whether or not he is now pursuing and abiding in the revealed
WRITTEN WORD. This requires knowing and believing what it says, then
deliberately obeying all that the LORD GOD commands.

"YOUR WORD is a lamp to my feet, a light for my path." [Psalms
(Tehillym) 119. 105 Tanakh, Kethuvim] If one indeed is following the
revealed will of CREATOR GOD, we can "ask anything according to HIS
will, HE hears us. And if we know that HE hears us, whatever we ask, we
know that we have the petitions that we have asked of HIM." [1 John 5.
14 - 15]

"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of GOD, WHO gives to all
liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him
ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the
sea driven and tossed by the wind." [James 1. 5 - 6] "For the LORD
grants wisdom; knowledge and discernment are by HIS decree." [Proverbs
(Mishle) 2. 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The GREAT & MIGHTY ONE OF ISRAEL desires the ultimate best for each of
us. In view of this fact, "men always ought to pray, and not lose
heart." [Luke 18. 1] "For we do not know what we should pray for as we
ought; but the SPIRIT...makes intercession for the saints according to
the will of GOD. And we know that all things work together for good to
those that love GOD." [Romans 8. 26 - 28] The MASTER DESIGNER is
faithful and unwavering, HE desires that we know HIM as LORD, and HE is
faithful to direct our paths.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
MOST HOLY ONE, YOU are blessed beyond all hymns, praises and
consolations that may be uttered in this world. May peace abundant
descend from heaven with life for us and to all Israel. We will ever
praise YOU for YOUR mercy and loving kindness to us. We serve YOU
because we love YOU, our BLESSED SAVIOR & LORD. Amen

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
One man's candle is light for a hundred.

FEASTS OF THE LORD (Part 2 - conclusion)
The "Set FEASTS OF THE LORD" are found in Leviticus 23. This is "GOD'S
Calendar of Redeeming Grace." In these forty-four verses are seven
"FEASTS OF THE LORD" which set the chronological order of the HOLY ONE'S
complete plan of redemption.

Feast of Trumpets (Yom Tru'ah) [Leviticus/Vayikra 23. 23 - 25] The
trumpet is used in HOLY SCRIPTURE to symbolize GOD'S voice. Six months
have gone by since the Feast of Passover. Six is the number
representing man and his work. Man's "work days" are ended and the
kingdoms of this world shall become the Kingdom of our GOD and HIS
ANOINTED SON! Seven is the perfect number (GOD'S number) the Day of
Rest (Sabbath). The seventh month, when the Feast of Trumpets are to be
celebrated prophesies the "second coming" of the LORD YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH.

Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) [Leviticus/Vayikra 23. 26 - 32] This was
the day when the High Priest sprinkled the "blood of the sacrifice" on
the Mercy Seat to receive forgiveness of their sins committed through
the year. He would also "confess over it all the iniquities and
transgressions of the Israelites, whatever their sins." [Leviticus
(Vayikra) 16. 21 Tanakh, Torah] YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, our great HIGH
PRIEST has entered "into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of
GOD for us, HE has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of
HIMSELF...CHRIST was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who
eagerly wait for HIM, HE will appear a second time, apart from sin, for
salvation." [Hebrews 9. 24 - 28]

Feast of Tabernacles (Succoth) [Leviticus/Vayikra 23. 34 - 44] This
Feast completes the history of redemption. The purpose of CREATOR GOD
was the gathering together of a people for HIMSELF that HE might dwell
in their midst. . . they can rest in HIS love, and HE can inhabit the
praises of HIS people. This was a joyful time when the Israelites dwelt
in booths after being delivered from Egypt's bondage and it prophecies
rest and glory when we believers will dwell with our BLESSED REDEEMER,
the LORD JESUS and go up year-after-year to Jerusalem to celebrate the
Feast of Tabernacles, serving HIM with gifts and sacrifices in joy and
gladness. [Zechariah/Zecharya h 14. 16 - 21] We will enter into GOD'S
perfect rest for one thousand years and continue in rest and glory
FOREVER!

The seven FEASTS OF THE LORD are combined spiritually and experientially
in "the Communion" (the LORD'S Supper) which the LORD YESHUA appointed
for HIS disciples to observe. We remember (Present) HIS death (Past)
until HE comes (Future).

We celebrate the LORD'S Passover because we are redeemed through HIS
sacrifice and we walk in newness of life for MESSIAH is our UNLEAVENED
BREAD WHO became the FIRST-FRUITS of those who slept, and at Shavuoth
(Pentecost), HE filled us with the COMFORTER, HIS PRECIOUS HOLY SPIRIT.
We show the LORD JESUS' death until HE comes at Trumpets, when not only
our Atonement will be complete, but we will Tabernacle (Succoth) with
HIM for 1,000 years and Sabbath (Rest) in HIM throughout Eternity.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Our GOD & KING, we humbly bow the knee before YOU and ask that YOU
sanctify us through YOUR commandments and let us share in the blessings
of YOUR Law. Satisfy us with YOUR goodness and gladden us with YOUR
salvation. Purify our hearts that we may serve YOU in sincerity and
truth. For YOU, O GOD, are truth and YOUR WORD endures forever. Praised
are YOU, O LORD, WHO forgives transgressions, RULER of the world, WHO
sanctifies those YOU have redeemed. Thank YOU for ruling in holiness,
the LORD OF HOSTS WHO is exalted through justice and sanctifies through
righteousness.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Post  Admin Tue 15 Mar 2011, 10:57 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Be deliberate in judgment and raise up many disciples!

FEASTS OF THE LORD (Part 1)
The "Set FEASTS OF THE LORD" (Hebrew: "mo'ed") are found in Leviticus
23. This is the HOLY ONE'S "Calendar of Redeeming Grace." In these
forty-four verses are seven feasts (Hebrew: "chag or hag") of the LORD
which set the chronological order of GOD'S complete plan of redemption.

Sabbath [Leviticus/Vayikra 23. 1 - 3] CREATOR GOD ceased from HIS work
of creation on the seventh (Sabbath) day and desired those whom HE had
created to gather together on that day to "feast" with HIM. YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH, the SABBATH OF THE MOST HIGH GOD, is the beginning and the
fulfillment of all the FEASTS OF THE LORD. HE alone could say, "Come to
ME, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest
(Sabbath). Take MY yoke upon you and learn from ME, for I am gentle and
lowly in heart, and you will find rest (Sabbath) for your souls."
[Matthew 11. 28 - 29]

Passover (Pesach) [Leviticus/Vayikra 23. 4 - 5] This was to be kept in
remembrance of Israel's great deliverance from death and Egyptian
bondage through the sacrifice of a spotless lamb. The death of the
Passover lamb was to be the starting point of all GOD'S purposes for
redemption and the foundation of all that is set forth in the rest of
the "FEASTS OF THE LORD." We see prophecy of the COMING ONE WHO, by the
offering of HIMSELF as the SUPREME SACRIFICE, would redeem all who would
believe on HIS NAME. Upon seeing MESSIAH YESHUA, John the Baptist
proclaimed, "Behold, the LAMB OF GOD that takes away the sin of the
world!" [John 1. 29]

Feast of Unleavened Bread (Chag Hamotzi) [Leviticus/Vayikra 23. 6 - 8]
This Feast immediately follows Passover and is only to be observed by
those who had partaken of the Passover lamb and put away the leaven
(represents sin) thus telling of the holy walk of the believer.
The LORD JESUS became as the LEAVENED BREAD (HE was made sin on the
Cross) that those believing on HIM might partake of the UNLEAVENED BREAD
(the RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD). "Indeed MESSIAH JESUS, our PASSOVER, was
sacrificed for us. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven,
nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened
bread of sincerity and truth." [1 Corinthians 5. 7 - 8]

Feast of First-Fruits (Yom Ha'bikkurim) [Leviticus/Vayikra 23. 10 - 14]
Three days after the Passover lamb was slain, the Feast of First-Fruits
was to be celebrated. At this time the High Priest was to take a sheaf
of the first-fruits of their barley harvest into the Temple and wave it
violently before the LORD GOD OF HEAVEN. This looked forward to the
fulfillment when YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, our GREAT HIGH PRIEST (the TRUE
PASSOVER LAMB) raised from the dead! YESHUA, the GRAIN OF BARLEY that
had fallen to the earth to die, now shoots forth (violently shaken) and
is raised before the LORD GOD as the FIRST-FRUITS of those that sleep.
[1 Corinthians 15. 20] "I am the RESURRECTION and the LIFE; whoever
believes in ME, though he may die, he shall live" [John 11. 25 - 26]
was the promise of the LORD JESUS at Lazarus' tomb.

Feast of Weeks (Shavu'oth/Pentecos t) [Leviticus/Vayikra 23. 15 - 22]
The Israelites were to remember that seven weeks after leaving the land
of death, Moses was called up to Mount Sinai and given the pattern of
the Tabernacle, the order of the priesthood, the law and the offerings
which were to guide and establish the redeemed nation. Two loaves of
bread "baked with leaven" were to be waved before the LORD on that day.
Here, ALMIGHTY GOD was teaching HIS people that divine redemption
through HIS ANOINTED ONE would be for "whosoever will." These two
leavened loaves typify Jew and Gentile, with sin in them both, being
brought together.

When the FIRST-FRUIT (YESHUA ha'MASHIACH) was raised from the dead, HE
appeared 40 days to HIS disciples, then ascended into heaven. Ten days
later "when the Day of Pentecost (50 Days) was fully come" GOD THE
FATHER poured out the GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT and the Church, made up of
both Jew and Gentile believers, were empowered, the Law written on the
fleshly tablets of their heart, the tabernacles of clay now indwelt by
the SPIRIT OF THE LIVING GOD.

GOD THE SON (YESHUA) honoured the FATHER at Passover by dying. GOD THE
FATHER honoured the Feast of First-Fruits by raising MESSIAH YESHUA from
the dead. GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT honours the Feast of Weeks by coming upon
the disciples as they waited in the upper room.

. . . to be continued

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
O LORD our GOD, may YOUR Kingdom come speedily, so the worship of YOUR
HOLY NAME and obedience to YOUR Law may unite all men in brotherhood and
peace; that every creature may know that YOU are its CREATOR, and every
living being exclaim: The LORD, the GREAT GOD of Israel, rules and HIS
dominion endures forever. Amen!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

TWO GENEALOGIES OF MESSIAH
There are two genealogies given of YesHUA, one in the book of Matthew
and one in Luke, both are different from each other. This is a favorite
point of attack on the HOLY SCRIPTURES by those who deny its divine
origin and inerrancy and a puzzle to others. However, the answer is
very simple:

The genealogy given in Matthew is the genealogy of Joseph, the
acknowledged father of YesHUA, His father in the eyes of the Law. The
genealogy given in Luke is the genealogy of Miryam (Mary), YesHUA's
mother and is the "human" genealogy of Jesus in actual fact. The GOSPEL
of Mathew was written for the Jews. All through it, Joseph is
prominent, Miryam is scarcely mentioned. In Luke, quite the opposite,
Miryam is the most important person in the whole account of the SAVIOR'S
conception and birth. Joseph is brought in only incidentally and
because he was Miryam's husband. In this, there is great
significance.

In the Book of Matthew, YesHuA is shown as the MESSIAH, the KING. In
Luke, Jesus appears as the SON OF MAN, our KINSMAN & REDEEMER. So in
Matthew the genealogy descends from Abraham to Joseph and Jesus, because
all the predictions and promises touching the MESSIAH are fulfilled in
HIM. But in Luke, the genealogy ascends from JESUS to Adam, because the
genealogy is being traced back to the head of the whole human race and
shows the relation of the SECOND ADAM (MESSIAH YESHUA) to the first.

Joseph's lineage in Matthew is the strictly royal line from David to
Joseph. In Luke, though the line of descent is from David, it is not
the royal line. In this, JESUS is descended from King David through
Nathan, David's son, but not in the royal line and the list follows a
line quite distinct from the royal line.

The LORD JESUS, according to prophecy, was to be the actual SON OF DAVID
according to the flesh. [2 Samuel/Shemuel Bet 7. 12–19;
Psalms/Tehillym 89. 3–4; 34 thru 37; 132. 11; Acts 2. 30; 13.
22–23; Romans 1. 3; 2 Timothy 2. 8] These prophecies are fulfilled
by YesHuA being the SON of Miryam (Mary), WHO was a lineal descendant of
David, though not in the royal line. Joseph, who was of the royal line,
was not JESUS' father according to the flesh, but was HIS father in the
eyes of the Law.

Miryam (Mary) was a descendant of David through her father, Heli. It is
true that Luke 3:23 says that Joseph was the son of Heli — the
explanation here being that Miryam, being a woman, her name according to
Jewish usage, could not appear in the genealogy, males alone forming the
line; so Joseph's name is introduced in the place of Miryam's
since he was her husband. Heli was his father-in-law, and so Joseph is
called the "son of Heli" and the line thus completed. While Joseph was
the son-in-law of Heli, according to the flesh, he was in actual fact
the son of Jacob. [Matthew 1. 16]

Two genealogies are absolutely necessary to trace the lineage of our
LORD & SAVIOUR YESHUA ha'MASHIACH. One, the royal and legal; the
other the natural and literal. We find these two genealogies, the
"legal & royal" in Matthew, the GOSPEL OF LAW & KINGSHIP; and the
"natural & literal" in Luke, the GOSPEL of humanity.

Jeremiah tells us that no descendant of Jeconiah would ever sit on the
throne of David. "Thus said the LORD — Record this man as without
succession, one who shall never be found acceptable; for none of his
offspring shall be accepted to sit on the Throne of David and to rule
anymore in Judah." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 22. 30 Tanakh, Nevi'im]
Since Joseph was of this lineage, and while his genealogy furnishes the
royal line for JESUS, his son before the Law, nevertheless —
Jeremiah's prophecy is fulfilled to the very letter; for YESHUA
(precisely speaking) was not Joseph's descendant and therefore was
not of the "seed of Jeconiah." If YESHUA had been the son of Joseph in
reality, HE could not have come to the throne, but HE is Miryam's
SON (by the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD) through Nathan and can come to the
Throne legally by her marrying Joseph and so providing JESUS' way
legally to it.

Study the two genealogies of the LORD JESUS carefully and be sure to
read them in the light of the OLD COVENANT prophecy. It is amazing to
see how one part of HOLY SCRIPTURES fits into another part when studied
thus and rejoice in the accuracy of the WRITTEN WORD.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Who is like unto YOU, O LORD? Who is like unto YOU, glorious in
holiness, revered in worship, wondrous in works? Praise the LORD to WHOM
all praise is due. Praised be the LORD to WHOM all praise is due forever
and ever!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A rabbi once said: "We are closer to GOD when we are asking questions
than when we think we have the answers."

FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT (part 10 Conclusion)
LOVE IS AN EFFECT
The First Epistle of John tells us, "We love HIM (the LORD GOD OF
HEAVEN) because HE first loved us." [1 John 4. 19] If we truly love
the LORD YESHUA, we must be like HIM. This is not a command but a
statement! Because, love generates love! When we remain beside our
wonderful REDEEMING LIVING GOD, we become like HIM, this is the
inevitable effect of Love. It is not a mystery! We love others, even
our enemies, because the PRECIOUS MESSIAH first loved us.

Whoever, through the pure love of Messiah Yeshua, cares for the orphan
and widows, feeds the hungry, clothes the naked, and visits the sick,
belongs to the JESUS, the DESIRE OF ALL NATIONS. "Pure and undefiled
religion before GOD and the FATHER is this: To visit orphans and widows
in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world." [James
1. 27] Whoever receives a little child in the MASTER'S NAME, receives
HIM. And, everyone that loves is born of the INVINCIBLE GOD.

"Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; Love does not parade
itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own,
is not easily provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity,
but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes
all things, endures all things; in fact, LOVE NEVER FAILS!" [1
Corinthians 13. 4 - 8]

Simply, follow whatever is just: "Whatever things are true, whatever
things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure,
whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there
is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy — meditate on
these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and
saw...Do! ...and the GOD OF PEACE will be with you." [Philippians 4. 8 -
9]

Remember! ...your fruits are showing! Go and grow in our AMAZINGLY
WONDERFUL OMNIPOTENT GOD.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
As we bid farewell to Shabbat with the Havdalah (difference) Service, we
use all of our senses: we taste the wine, smell the spices, see the
shadows of candles, hear prayers and songs, and touch family and friends
as we wish them Tov Shavua - Good Week!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A small coin before one's eyes hides everything from sight.

FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT (Part 9)
LOVE IS RIGHTEOUSNESS
"Love does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth." [1
Corinthians 13. 6]

Righteousness (Hebrew: tsedaqah) is a type of strict, self-restraint
which refuses to make capital of another's fault; the charity which does
not delight in exposing the weakness of others, but covers all things.
The Righteousness of purpose tries to see things as they are and
rejoices to find them better than suspicion feared or rumor accused.

The main goal of our lives should be to have these nine "LOVE"
ingredients fitted into our characters; and to accomplish this, we need
to look at the life of the LORD YESHUA, our BELOVED MESSIAH. Even
though HE was perfect, we read that HE learned obedience, and grew in
wisdom, and in favour with GOD and man. [Luke 2. 52]

"Now therefore, fear the LORD, revere and serve HIM in sincerity and in
truth!" [Joshua (Yehoshua) 24. 14 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Rejoice before the
LORD YESHUA with undivided loyalty. Do not quarrel with your
circumstances in life, but rather practice love in all that the LIVING,
WONDROUS, OMNIPOTENT GOD appoints you. HIS love is at work to make you
patient, humble, generous, unselfish, kind, and courteous. Do not
resent that which is molding the still-too-shapeless -image within you.
You are growing more beautiful with every touch of the MASTER'S hand
manifesting gentleness, which is strength under control.

A few of Love's ingredients have been named, but these are only
elements. Love itself cannot be clearly defined. . . it is a living
obvious and unmistakable manifestation!

. . . to be continued

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Welcome Sabbath — the Bride — Queen of the week! Come Sabbath,
and the rest it brings; last in creation, first in thought.
May you find a rest of love freely given, a rest of truth and sincerity,
a rest in peace and tranquility, in quiet and safety; a perfect rest in
which you find favour.
Shalom U'Vrakah (Peace & Blessings).

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Post  Admin Fri 11 Mar 2011, 4:27 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The evil of the eye grows from the evil of the heart.

FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT (Part 8)
LOVE IS GUILELESSNESS — THINKS NO EVIL
This is an innocent sincerity, a type of grace for suspicious people.
In an atmosphere of suspicion, a man's countenance withers up; but in
the atmosphere of Guilelessness (purity of heart, innocent, honest),
people expand and find encouragement, moreover, edification follows. How
wonderful and rare is the soul who still thinks no evil.

Love thinks no evil, imputes no motive, sees the bright side, and puts
the best construction on every action. You will find that as you try to
influence or elevate others, your success will be determined by how
confident they are in your belief of them. Respecting others is the
first step for restoring self-respect to a person who has lost all their
confidence. Then, when self-respect is confirmed, the ideal hope and
pattern is established of what he may grow to be.

"Whatever is True, whatever is honourable, whatever is just, whatever is
pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious; if there is any
excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these
things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in ME, do;
and the GOD OF PEACE will be with you." [Philippians 4. 8 - 9]

Judge others with impartial judgment and follow what is altogether
truthful. "You shall not judge unfairly; you shall show no partiality;
you shall not take bribes, for bribes blind the eyes of the discerning
and perverts the words of the righteous. Justice, justice shall you
pursue." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 16. 19 - 20 Tanakh, Torah] In
righteousness you shall judge your neighbor. "You shall not render an
unfair decision...judge your kinsman fairly." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 19.
15 Tanakh, Torah]

Truly, Guilelessness (pure, honest, truthful) is a prized quality for
yourself and is a precious gift when given to others. This TREMENDOUSLY
MAJESTIC, GENTLE CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE melts each of us down and makes
us a "new creature" who is patient, humble, gentle, and unselfish; we
then love others — even our enemies because the FAITHFUL LORD GOD OF
HOSTS first loved us.

. . . to be continued

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Let us celebrate the ties of love and faith that bind us through the
LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, the ROCK of our Salvation. May your heart be
established in grace.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Do not put yourself in the path of temptation — even King David
could not resist it.

FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT (Part 7)
LOVE IS GOOD TEMPERED
A very remarkable attribute. . . it means love that is not easily
provoked. We might look upon a bad temper as a very harmless weakness,
something only to be ignored. However, the HOLY SCRIPTURES condemn a
bad temper as one of the most destructive elements in human nature.

An ill temper is often a blot on an otherwise noble character. Some men
may be near perfect, and women might be entirely perfect, except for
their easily ruffled, quick-tempered, or touchy disposition. This
combination of ill-temper and high moral character is one of the
strangest and saddest problems of ethics (moral values). The truth is,
there are two great classes of sins — sins of the body and sins of
disposition.

The younger prodigal son shows the sin of the body; the elder brother,
the sin of disposition. [Luke 15. 11 - 32] The elder brother had
virtues the younger boy did not, but that type of an attitude has kept
many out of the Kingdom of God due to an unloving character. His
sinister, loveless soul contained the ingredients of jealousy, anger,
pride, un-charitable, cruelty, self-righteousness, irritability,
doggedness, spitefulness and easily irritated.

Are such sins of the negative disposition not worse to live in, and for
others to live with, than sins of the body? Our LORD JESUS, the GOD/MAN
answered this question HIMSELF when HE said, "I say unto you, that the
tax collectors and harlots will enter the Kingdom of GOD before you."
[Matthew 21. 31] Anyone with such a despicable mood and decomposed
attitude cannot enter Heaven unless he is born anew.

We must go to "THE SOURCE — THE BREATH OF ALL FLESH" WHO alone can
change our inmost nature. A soul is made sweet by putting in a great
love, a new spirit. . . the SPIRIT OF MESSIAH YESHUA. The ALL-TOGETHER
LOVELY SPIRIT OF THE HOLY ONE penetrating ours sweetens, purifies, and
transforms us. Nothing can change men like our MAJESTIC LOVING GOD
does. Therefore, "Let this mind be in you which was also in CHRIST
JESUS." [Philippians 2. 5]

Remember, this is a matter of life or death. "Whoever offends one of
these little ones, which believe in ME, it were better for him that a
millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the
depth of the sea." [Matthew 18. 6] In other words, it is better not to
live than not to love!

. . . to be continued

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
I trust in YOU, O SOVEREIGN LORD GOD. . . my time is in YOUR hand.
Therefore, I sing the praises to YOU endlessly. May peace abundant
descend from heaven with life for us and to all Israel, Amen!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Post  Admin Wed 09 Mar 2011, 4:45 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A wise man understands with a hint, a donkey needs a big stick.

FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT (Part 6)
LOVE IS UNSELFISH
This is Love — not even seeking things for ourselves at all. Things
cannot be great, the only greatness is Unselfish Love.

Unselfish Love is not a hardship because, with love, nothing is hard. I
believe that the yoke of MESSIAH YESHUA is easy. HIS is a yoke of
"service & obedience" — life as the GREAT DESIGNER intended it to
be.

The most obvious lesson in our LORD'S teaching is that there is no
happiness in having and getting, but only in giving and serving others!
The LORD JESUS said "Whoever wants to be greatest among you, let him
serve." [Matthew 20. 26] He that would be happy, let him remember that
there is but one way — it is more blessed to give than to receive.
[Acts 20. 35]

Whoever loves, gives! Give more than just a thimble full of the "GOOD
NEWS" that offers men life. But along with it, give joy, peace, rest,
and hope. MESSIAH YESHUA came to give men a more abundant life than
they have, a life abundant in love, abundant in salvation, and
redemption for the world. Only this "Good News" can take hold of the
whole man — body, soul, and spirit and give to each part of his
nature its exercise and reward. SHARE LOVE UNSELFISHLY!

"For it was fitting for HIM, for WHOM are all things and by WHOM are all
things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the CAPTAIN of their
salvation perfect through sufferings." [Hebrews 2. 10] The LORD YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH is the PERFECT EXAMPLE of unselfish, amazing love. . . GOD'S
GREATEST GIFT OF LOVE to me.

. . . to be continued

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
O LORD GOD OF HOSTS give us the kindness to hear with compassion, to
offer support, loving comfort, and care; give us the courage to do what
is needed, the wisdom to choose what is right and most fair; give us the
vision to see what is possible; give us the faith that will help pave
the way for a present that's hopeful, a future that's peaceful
— give us the heart to bring joy to each day.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Improvement begins with "I".

FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT (Part 5)
LOVE IS COURTESY
This is Courtesy in society, love in relation to social graces.
Courteous love does not behave itself unseemly. Politeness has been
defined as "love in little droplets." Courtesy is said to be "love in
little things." The one secret of politeness is to love.

Courteous Love cannot behave itself unseemly. You can put the most
uneducated person into the highest society, and if they have a spring of
Courteous Love in their heart, they will behave themselves properly. It
is because they love everything, great and small, that the HEAVENLY
CREATOR has made. So, the one who truly loves can mingle with any
society, and enter courts and palaces, or little cottages. Whatever you
do, do it with "the gentle spirit of love."

To love abundantly is to live abundantly, and to love forever is to live
forever. Therefore, eternal life is completely bound up with love.
Eternal life is abundant and free, but only through this GREAT GOD OF
PEACE. . . GOD is Love! This is life eternal, that they might know HIM,
the only TRUE & LIVING GOD, and the LORD JESUS CHRIST. Love is the
supreme thing, because it is going to last and is Eternal Life. "GOD
has given us eternal life, and this life is in HIS SON. I have written
these things to you who believe in the Name of the SON OF GOD, that you
may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to
believe in the name of the SON OF GOD." [1 John 5. 11, 13]

Our prayer for you is that you get to know and love GOD MOST HOLY better
every day. We pray for GOD'S richest and best in your life. We wish
you an abundant life in love which comes only from YESHUA ha'MASHIACH
the BLESSED REDEEMER. HIS PRECIOUS WORD, the HOLY BIBLE, offers life
abundantly. Read it! and find the MASTER COMFORTER for yourself.
Eternal Life begins the moment you have a personal, intimate
relationship with MESSIAH YESHUA and HE becomes your LORD & KING!

. . . to be continued

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Exalted and hallowed be GOD'S greatness in this world of YOUR creation.
May YOUR will be fulfilled and Your sovereignty revealed in the days of
our lifetime and the life of the whole House of Israel speedily and in
our time. May YOU be blessed forever, even to all eternity. May YOU,
MOST HOLY ONE, be blessed, praised & honoured, extolled & glorified,
adored and exalted above all else. Blessed are YOU beyond all blessings
and hymns, praises and consolations that may be uttered in this world.
May peace abundant descend from heaven with life for us and to all
Israel, Amen.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 30 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Mon 07 Mar 2011, 1:26 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Happiness keeps you sweet; Trials keep you strong; Sorrows keep you
human; Failures keep you humble.

FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT (Part 4)
GENEROSITY & HUMILITY — LOVE'S CHARITY
"The generous person enjoys prosperity; he who satisfies others shall
himself be sated." And, "The generous man is blessed, for he gives of
his bread to the poor." [Proverbs (Mishle) 11. 25; 22. 9 Tanakh,
Kethuvim] So, "Do not harden your heart and shut your hand against your
needy kinsman. Rather, you must open your hand and lend him sufficient
for whatever he needs." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 15. 7 - 8 Tanakh, Torah]

The integrity of a CHRISTian's soul should be graciously courteous,
rich, forgiving and fortified with the grace of generosity (Hebrew:
nadiyb). Generosity is also a giving heart that gives with no
expectation of anything in return. In other words, any motivation
towards generosity other than love alone cancels its value. The
generous soul devises generous things; and by his generosity, he stands.
The finest, most generous gift is of yourself!!!

Now learn this further thing, humility (Hebrew: `anavah), which is
loves fourth ingredient. Humility is putting a seal on your lips and
then forgetting what you have done. "GOD opposes the proud but gives
grace to the humble" so "Submit yourselves, then, to GOD. Come near to
GOD and HE will come near to you. Humble yourselves before the LORD, and
HE will lift you up." [James 4. 6 - 8, 10] Without fail, the ALMIGHTY
KING will save the downcast!

Honour, riches and life follow humility. "O MIGHTY ONE, in YOUR glory,
YOUR majesty and prosperously, ride with YOUR sword girded upon YOUR
thigh; ride on in the cause of truth, humility, and righteousness; let
YOUR right hand teach awesome deeds." [Psalms (Tehillym) 45. 3 - 4
Tanakh, Kethuvim] After you have been kind, after love has gone forth
into the world and done its beautiful work, it goes back into the shade
again and says nothing about it. Love hides even from itself. Love
waives even self-satisfaction.

"Therefore, as the elect of GOD, holy and beloved, put on tender
mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one
another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against
another; even as MESSIAH forgave you, so you also must do. But above all
these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection." [Colossians
3. 12 - 14] "Seek the LORD, all you meek of the land who have
fulfilled HIS Law; seek righteousness, seek humility. Perhaps you will
find shelter and be hidden on the day of the LORD'S anger." [Zephaniah
(Tsefanyah) 2. 3 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "The effect of humility is fear of
the LORD, riches and honour and life." [Proverbs (Mishle) 22. 4 Tanakh,
Kethuvim]

Love boasts not about itself, it is not puffed up. Generosity and
Humility can be two of the more pleasant gifts you can give daily all
year through. Try it!

. . . to be continued

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!

The CREATOR, PRESERVER and HEIR of the Universe has once for all made
purification of man's sin and gave him eternal salvation. So,
encourage one another. Even, so much the more, as you see the DAY OF
MESSIAH'S imminent return nearing. For infinite is HIS mighty power, HIS
ineffable glory, even so is HIS glorious love. HalleluYAH! Grace be with
you all.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Every act of kindness that the EVER-LIVING MASTER DESIGNER performs
should make man feel, not proud, but more humble and unworthy.

FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT (Part 3)
LOVE IS KINDNESS LOVE ACTIVE
Have you ever noticed how much of MESSIAH'S life was spent simply in
doing kind things, showing compassion, and meeting needs? Just doing
good for others, brings contentment. There is only one thing greater
than kindness in the world, and that is Holiness (Hebrew: qodesh). Our
gracious ALMIGHTY GOD has put in our power the ability to be kind to
those about us.

The greatest thing one can do for our HEAVENLY FATHER is to be kind. I
wonder why it is that we are not all more kind than we are? How very
much the world needs it! How easy it is to do! How quickly it acts!
How warm is the memory of it! How super abundantly it pays itself back
for there is no debtor in the world so excellent and honourable as
love. "Love never fails!" [1 Corinthians 13. 8] Love is the energy of
life.

Where love is, GOD is. Whoever dwells in love dwells in the OMNIPOTENT
EVERLASTING LORD. GOD is love! So, love without discrimination,
without measure, or hesitation. . . Love! Lavish it upon the poor,
where it is very easy; and upon the rich who often need it most; and
upon our equals, where it is very difficult, and for whom perhaps, we
each do least of all.

There is a difference between trying to please and showing kindness.
Loose no chance of showing kindness, for that is the constant and
anonymous triumph of a truly loving spirit. I shall pass through this
world but once. Any good thing therefore that I can do, or any kindness
that I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer
it or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.

As you practice (do, achieve, implement, perform) showing kindness, you
will grow more like our wonderful LORD JESUS, the BLESSED REDEEMER!
"The LORD your GOD is gracious, compassionate and merciful, slow to
anger, abounding in kindness." [Joel (Yoel) 2. 13 Tanakh, Nevi'im]
"For great is HIS merciful kindness and steadfast love toward us; the
faithfulness of the LORD endures forever. HalleluYAH!" [Psalms
(Tehillym) 117. 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Because of the magnificent mercies
of the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA, we can face tomorrow and be comforted now.
Victory is ahead and unlimited joys before us!

. . . to be continued

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
As we bid farewell to Sabbath, may the ALMIGHTY LORD GOD, WHO separates
the holy from the secular, forgive our sins and grant us a good week
filled with DIVINE blessings as you allow the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL to
guide you through life! Have a delightful and blessed week!
Be reminded to continually give thanks in all things and share some of
the sweetness of Sabbath with those around you each day.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Nothing reduces misfortune like patience.

FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT (Part 2)
LOVE IS PATIENT — LONG SUFFERING
Patience (Hebrew: `arek) is the normal attitude of love: Love
passive; waiting to begin; not in a hurry; calm, ready to do its work
when the summons comes. But in the meantime, Patience wears the
ornament of a meek and quiet spirit. Love suffers long…bears all
things…believes all things…hopes all things. Love understands,
therefore, in Patience wait.

Thus, "the supreme thing is love." In short, it is not a thing at all,
but is the giving of a bright finish to our many words and our actions
that make up every common day. Truly, love is a supreme possession. . .
it lasts!

This world is the great testing ground for us to practice patience.
Our LORD & KING, MESSIAH YESHUA is with you always, hence HE sees every
effort you make, and knows the very intent of your heart. Practice
patience!!

"For whatever things were written before were written for our learning,
that we through the patience and comfort of the SCRIPTURES might have
hope. Now may the GOD of patience and comfort grant you to be
like-minded toward one another, according to CHRIST JESUS, that you may
with one mind and one mouth glorify the GOD and FATHER of our LORD JESUS
CHRIST." [Romans 15. 4 - 6]

Be patient, establish your heart to stand strong and be of good courage,
because the coming of the LORD is in sight. Our prayer is that each of
you grow stronger in the love of our GREAT ETERNAL LORD GOD, and that
you study to know HIS heart and mind.

. . . to be continued

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Welcome Sabbath! Queen of the week — the Bride, the description of
beauty and radiance, testifying to the tremendous affection that the
Sabbath is enjoyed among YOUR people in YOUR PRESENCE. Praise to
ALMIGHTY CREATOR GOD! We praise and bless you O LOVING MASTER for
lovingly and graciously giving YOUR Holy Shabbat.
May yours be a Yom She'kulo Shabbat — A day which is
all-Sabbath!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Whatever angers you controls you.

FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT (Part 1)
Love (Hebrew: `ahab) is the Supreme Gift, you can give nothing
greater, you need take nothing less. You have life before you, once and
only once you can live it. 1 Corinthians 13 describes and identifies it
:

LOVE is made up of nine ingredients, let us learn how to give this
Supreme Gift:
PATIENCE — "Love suffers long."
KINDNESS — " Love is kind."
GENEROSITY — "Is Love's charity."
HUMILITY — "Love does not value itself, it is not puffed up."
COURTESY — "Love does not behave improper."
UNSELFISHNESS — "Love is not seeking her own way."
GOOD TEMPER — "Love is not easily irritated."
GUILELESSNESS — "Love thinks no evil."
RIGHTEOUSNESS — "Love rejoices not in iniquity, but in truth."

We are instructed to "Walk as children of light for the Fruit of the
SPIRIT is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth, finding out what is
acceptable to the LORD." [Ephesians 5. 8 - 11] When we have faith in
the ALL-MERCIFUL GOD, our soul is in touch with GOD HIMSELF; and the
object of our relationship with the ALMIGHTY COMPASSIONATE GOD is that
we may become like HIM. . . and GOD IS LOVE. To obtain these virtues,
we simply need to Practice! ...Practice! ...Practice! until it becomes a
lifestyle. Our actions determine our eternal destination. Whosoever
loves the GREAT GOD ETERNAL has the avenue to love — and Everlasting
Life. The ALMIGHTY HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL wants you to know the virtues of
love and how to use those virtues for your "supreme good." Oh, to be
like our LORD & KING, MESSIAH YESHUA. . . how very sweet is HIS PRECIOUS
NAME. . . JESUS!

. . . to be continued

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
We greet, salute, and encourage each saint in the LORD JESUS CHRIST
keeping you always in our prayers. Remember, life's challenges work out
for the best, when we recognize what appear to be obstacles as
opportunities to develop ourselves for the better. We realize that all
things come from the invisible hand of GOD OMNIPOTENT that guides our
life. May HIS grace be with you.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Thought FOR TODAY

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Nobody cares how much you know, until they know how much you care.

LISTEN & OBEY
"In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have
overcome the world." [John 16. 33]

We are to be prepared for persecution. "Yes, and all who desire to live
godly in CHRIST JESUS will suffer persecution. " [2 Timothy 3. 12] Our
LOVING LORD GOD tells us ahead of time the things that are coming on the
world. YESHUA the MESSIAH warned us that there would be tribulation
and deceivers in the last days before HIS return. "Take heed that no
one deceives you. For many will come in MY NAME, saying, "I am HE" and
will deceive many." [Mark 13. 5 - 6] And, YESHUA cautioned us not to be
deceived by those who claim to have spiritual authority and prophetic
insights, and some actually claiming to be the CHRIST.

When the LORD JESUS does return, all HIS saints will know for they
"shall be caught up — to meet the LORD in the air." [1 Thessalonians
4. 17] Then CHRIST will return with HIS saints and Angels to set up HIS
Kingdom and every eye shall see HIM [Revelation 1. 7; 1 Thessalonians 3.
13; Jude 14], for HE will reign KING of kings and LORD of lords over all
the earth and HIS saints will reign with HIM. [Zechariah/Zecharya h 14.
5, 9; Revelation 2. 26 - 27; 7. 15 - 17; 17. 14; 20. 46]

The LORD JESUS warned that the last days would bringing out many false
christs and false prophets who "will rise and show signs and wonders to
deceive, if possible, even the elect. But take heed; see, I have told
you all things beforehand." [Mark 13. 22 - 23]

Many people will be deceived however, because they choose to listen to
those who would prickle their notion and tickle their ears. "For the
time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according
to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up
for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the
truth, and be turned aside to fables." [2 Timothy 4. 3 - 5] In HIS
righteous judgment, the LORD will say to them, "I never knew you; depart
from ME, you who practice lawlessness! " [Matthew 7. 22]

We are to be sober and "take heed watch and pray lest, coming suddenly,
HE find you sleeping." [Mark 13. 33] We are to BE ALERT and WATCH!
YESHUA gave a final warning to the danger of not heeding the signs
around us, "But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed
down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and THAT DAY
come on you unexpectedly. For it will come as a snare on all those who
dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch! therefore, and pray always
that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come
to pass, and to stand before the SON OF MAN." [Luke 21. 34 - 36]

Those who listen and are found watching have this blessing and promise,
"In all these things we are more than conquerors through HIM WHO loved
us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor
principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor
height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate
us from the love of GOD which is in CHRIST JESUS our LORD." [Romans 8.
37 - 39]

It will be worth it all when we see JESUS, the MAGNIFICENT KING OF
GLORY, and we will be with HIM forevermore. "He who overcomes shall
inherit all things, and I will be his GOD and he shall be MY son."
[Revelation 21. 7] May the grace of our LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH be
with you. Even so, Amen.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
O GOD, keep my tongue from evil and my lips from speaking guile. Be my
SUPPORT when grief silences my voice, and my COMFORT when woe bends my
spirit. Plant humility in my soul, and strengthen my heart with perfect
faith in YOU. Help me to be strong in trials and temptations and to be
humble always before YOU, my STRONG-TOWER. Guide me by the LIGHT of YOUR
counsel, and let me ever find rest in YOU – my ROCK and my REDEEMER.
Praised be the LORD GOD ETERNAL to WHOM all praise is due for ever and
ever. Amen

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Post  Admin Tue 01 Mar 2011, 3:01 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The most important things in life are not things. What is most
important is not to treat people as things.

SERVED OR SERVANT?
"But many who are first will be last, and the last first." [Matthew 19.
30]

Mordecai was a faithful servant of GOD MOST HIGH. The Amalekite, Haman
not only wanted to be served, but also worshipped in his high ranking
position in the Persian Kingdom. His hatred for the Jewish people
caused him to receive the fate he intended for Mordecai. [Book of
Esther] "Amalek (the father of the Amalekites) was first among the
nations; but shall be last and is to perish forever." [Numbers/B'Midvar
24. 20 Tanakh, Torah]

The Jewish people are first, in that the LORD GOD entrusted the ORACLES
OF THE LAW to them [Romans 3. 1 - 2], and they were to be a light to the
Gentiles, teaching salvation to the ends of the earth. "I, the LORD, in
MY grace, have summoned you, and I have grasped you by the hand. I
created you, and appointed you a "Covenant People" a Light to the
Gentiles." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 42. 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "For HE has said
— It is too small a thing that you should be MY servant in that I
raise up the tribes of Jacob and restore the survivors of Israel; I will
also make you a light to the Gentiles, that MY salvation may reach to
the ends of the earth." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 49. 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im]
However, they not only failed to evangelize the Gentiles. But moreover,
they rejected GOD'S SON, MESSIAH YESHUA OF NAZARETH. Therefore, they
made themselves last.

The Gentiles, who were last, those who accept "THE WAY" to the ALMIGHTY
ONE through the shed blood of MESSIAH YESHUA have become first. "So
the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few
chosen." [Matthew 20. 16] "They (Jew & Gentile) will come from the
east and the west, from the north and the south, and sit down in the
Kingdom of GOD. And indeed, there are last who will be first, and there
are first who will be last." [Luke 13. 29 - 30]

The LORD JESUS taught, "If anyone desires to be first, he shall be last
of all and servant of all." [Mark 9. 35] The disciples, James and John
had ask to sit next to the MASTER in HIS glory. JESUS replied — "it
is not MINE to give, but it is for those for whom it is prepared." Then
HE called all twelve disciples to HIMSELF and expressed, "You know that
those who are considered rulers over the Gentiles lord it over them, and
their great ones exercise authority over them. Yet it shall not be so
among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your
servant. And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all.
For even the SON OF MAN did not come to be served, but to serve, and to
give HIS life a ransom for many." [Mark 10. 35 - 45]

Those who are first, serve the LORD MESSIAH fittingly that you may hear
HIM say — "Well done! good and faithful servant; you were faithful
over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into
the joy of your LORD." [Matthew 25. 21] But to the one who wants to be
served, HE calls them "unprofitable servant" and they will be "cast into
the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
[Matthew 25. 30]

"Behold! I am coming quickly, and MY reward is with ME, to give to every
one according to his work. I am the ALPHA and the OMEGA, the BEGINNING
and the END, the FIRST and the LAST. Blessed are those who do HIS
commandments, that they may have the right to the Tree of Life, and may
enter through the gates into the City." [Revelation 22. 12 - 14] Such a
glorious Day that will be!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
"Rejoice with Jerusalem and be glad for her, all you who love her!
Join in her jubilation, all you who mourned over her – that you may
suck from her breast consolation to the full, that you may draw from her
bosom glory to your delight." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 66. 10–11 Tanakh,
Nevi'im]

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 30 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Mon 28 Feb 2011, 1:21 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
O come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD our
MAKER.

EZEKIEL'S VISION (part 6 - Conclusion)
RESURRECTION & ASCENSION — "Above the expanse over their heads was
the semblance of a throne, in appearance like sapphire; and on top, upon
this semblance of a throne, there was the semblance of a HUMAN (Man)
form. From what appeared as HIS loins up, I saw a gleam as of amber
— what looked like a fire encased in a frame; and from what appeared
as HIS loins down, I saw what looked like fire. There was a radiance all
about HIM." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 1. 26 - 27 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Suddenly Ezekiel was transported above the firmament where he saw a
throne, and sitting on that throne was a MAN. From the scene of death
in verse 25, Ezekiel was ushered into an exalted setting. His vision
had clearly taken him through the resurrection of the LORD JESUS and HIS
ascension into Heaven, for Ezekiel now saw KING YESHUA sitting on a
throne. JESUS, the LORD ETERNAL, today is "seated at the right hand of
power far above all principality and power and might and dominion"
[Ephesians 1. 20 - 21] waiting to return to this earth as the VICTORIOUS
KING OF GLORY. The RIGHTEOUS MESSIAH'S present ministry is that of
INTERCESSOR (ADVOCATE) with the FATHER on behalf of the Saints. [1 John
2. 1]

In verses 26 and 27, YESHUA ha'MASHIACH is described in all of HIS glory
being the exalted KING and MAJESTIC RULER OF HEAVEN & EARTH. The
brilliance of HIS HOLINESS is pictured here in Ezekiel just as it is in
Revelation 1:13-16 where YESHUA is shown as having the same glory as the
HEAVENLY FATHER seated on the throne. Revelation shows the scene of THE
THRONE and the ONE seated on the throne surrounded by an emerald rainbow
(depicting Eternal Life), "Immediately I was in the SPIRIT; and behold,
a throne set in heaven, and ONE sat on the Throne. And HE WHO sat there
was like a jasper and a Sardis stone in appearance; and there was a
rainbow around the Throne, in appearance like an emerald." [Revelation
4. 2 - 3] YESHUA is the PERFECT BLAMELESS LAMB WHO takes the scroll
from the hand of the ONE seated on the Throne. [Revelation 5. 5 - 7]

"Like the appearance of the bow which shines in the clouds on a day of
rain, such was the appearance of the surrounding radiance. That was the
appearance of the semblance of the PRESENCE OF THE LORD. When I beheld
it, I flung myself down on my face and I heard the VOICE of ONE
speaking." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 1. 28 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"The appearance of the bow which shines in the clouds on a day of rain"
would be the Rainbow round about the Throne. The rainbow was a pledge
of ELOHIYM'S faithfulness to HIS COVENANTS. "I have set MY bow in
the clouds, and it shall serve as a sign of the Covenant between ME and
the earth." [Genesis (Bereshith) 9. 13 Tanakh, Torah] The ALMIGHTY
BLESSED ONE sits upon the Throne. . . splendid, dazzling, and terrible;
but encompassed about by the Covenant of Grace.

Ezekiel's response to what he saw is instructive for us today. Ezekiel
saw the glory of his EL SHADDAI, how impressive his OMNIPOTENT GOD is,
and he could respond in only one way. . . he fell on his face. In
submission and humility, Ezekiel prostrated himself before the AWESOME
LORD GOD, CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE. Down through the centuries, this has
been the only possible response for all men and women who have plain and
genuinely seen the glory of YEHOWAH in the risen LORD MESSIAH JESUS.

Throughout the pages of HOLY SCRIPTURE, we are shown the impressiveness
of MESSIAH LORD JESUS. In Ezekiel 1, we are given an overview of HIS
entire life and ministry. CHRIST JESUS came from Heaven to earth. HE
is the GOD/MAN. HE walked a perfect walk in obedience to the FATHER.
The LORD JESUS is the blessed forever REDEEMER - SAVIOUR - KING WHO will
return as the LORD OF GLORY. MESSIAH YESHUA died for our sins, but
arose jubilantly victorious over death and is now seated at the right
hand of the OMNIPOTENT FATHER GOD. Anyone who sees the LOVING MESSIAH,
the LORD JESUS CHRIST OF THE HOLY SCRIPTURES cannot help but willingly
fall in submission before HIM.

Ultimately, Ezekiel "heard the VOICE OF ONE that spoke." [Ezekiel
(Yehezke-El) 1. 28 Tanakh, Nevi'im] There is a natural progression:
Ezekiel saw — fell — heard. It is crucial that when a person
fully sees and comprehends the incomparable greatness of JESUS OF
NAZARETH, he will fall before the LORD and respond to MESSIAH'S leading.
Ezekiel was asked to do some strange things during his life
[Ezekiel/Yehezke- El 4. 1-6], but he never questioned his HEAVENLY
FATHER, the ALMIGHTY OMNIPRESENT GOD. . . Ezekiel was obedient!

When you see the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH of the HOLY SCRIPTURES, you
will also experience how great and impressive HE assuredly is. Now,
you will want to do whatever HE asks of you! First, the LORD YESHUA
requires you to accept HIM personally as your only SAVIOUR, REDEEMER &
LORD. . . then to follow HIM in obedience to HIS teachings as it is
written in HIS HOLY WRITTEN WORD. Then, when you understand how
absolutely, thoroughly, unconditionally remarkably great the LORD
MESSIAH YESHUA is, it won't be difficult to accept and follow the
GLORIOUS LORD JESUS implicitly. Amen! What a WONDERFUL SAVIOUR HE is!
Hallelu'YAH! such amazing love!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
For all of us, daily life sometimes seems to be an obstacle course
filled with rocks and thorns. But, when GOD'S PRECIOUS WRITTEN WORD is
in the center of our life, we find sweet honey in the ROCK. Have a
blessed day as you saturate yourself in the sweetness of the MIGHTY
LORD, the SOURCE OF LIFE. Do not fear, nor be afraid, boldly declare
the wonders of our GOD we are HIS witnesses, HE will go before us, HE is
our MIGHTY ROCK. HE will sustain us with HIS right hand of justice and
victoriously overcome in righteousness.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 30 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Sun 27 Feb 2011, 2:18 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
We make our future by the best use of the present.

EZEKIEL'S VISION (Part 5)
LED BY THE SPIRIT — "And when the Creatures moved forward, the
wheels moved at their sides; and when the Creatures were borne above the
earth, the wheels were borne too. Wherever the SPIRIT impelled them to
go, they went — wherever the SPIRIT impelled them — and the
wheels were borne alongside them; for the SPIRIT OF THE CREATURES was in
the wheels. When those moved, these moved; when those stood still, these
stood still; and when those were borne above the earth, the wheels were
borne alongside them - for the SPIRIT of the Creatures was in the
wheels." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 1. 19 - 21 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The ministry of the LORD JESUS displayed the truth of these verses. As
MESSIAH YESHUA walked on this earth, HE was led in all things by the
SPIRIT OF GOD. This reality in HIS life is shown from the very
beginning of HIS ministry: "Then JESUS was led up by the SPIRIT into
the wilderness to be tempted by the Devil." [Matthew 4. 1]

DEATH — "Above the heads of the CREATURES was a form, an expanse,
with an awe-inspiring gleam as of crystal was spread out above their
heads. Under the expanse, each had one pair of wings extended toward
those of the others; and each had another pair covering its body. When
they moved, I could hear the sound of their wings like the sound of
mighty waters, like the sound of SHADDAI (THE ALMIGHTY ONE) a tumult
like the sound of an army. When they stood still, they would let their
wings droop. From above the expanse over their heads came a sound. When
they stood still, they would let their wings droop." [Ezekiel
(Yehezke-El) 1. 22 - 25 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

When ELOHIYM created the universe, HE said there was to be "a firmament,
an expanse, in the midst of the water, that it may separate water from
water." [Genesis (Bereshith) 1. 6 Tanakh, Torah] After the creation of
the firmament, CREATOR GOD "called the expanse, Sky (Heaven)." [Genesis
(Bereshith) 1. 8 Tanakh, Torah] Over the LIVING CREATURES was a
firmament or expanse. The LORD JESUS performed HIS ministry under
Heaven…on the earth. HE walked and talked as no man had ever done.
After YESHUA had calmed the wind and the waves, the disciples marveled,
saying, "WHO can this be? that even the winds and the sea obey HIM?"
[Matthew 8. 27] It was said of JESUS: "No man ever spoke like this
MAN." [John 7. 46] The uniqueness of the LORD MESSIAH is captured when
the sound of the CREATURES' wings is said to be "like the sound of
mighty waters of SHADDAI, the ALMIGHTY — a tumult like the din of an
army." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 1. 24 Tanakh, Nevi'im] The LORD YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH was unique because HE IS GOD IN HUMAN FLESH.

A climactic point is reached at this place in the chapter. Wings have
pictured the protection of the ALMIGHTY ONE but the next two verses
state, "when they stood still, they would let their wings droop (let
down their wings)." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 1. 24 - 25 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The LORD YESHUA, the HOLY ANOINTED ONE promised, "If I am lifted up from
the earth, I will draw all peoples to MYSELF." [John 12. 32] The
LIVING CREATURES STOOD STILL . . .JESUS went to the cross. It was at
that time, and at that time only in the life of YESHUA that the wings of
GOD'S protection were let down. The depravity and filth of sin of all
mankind were placed on HIM at Golgotha's Calvary. In fulfillment
of the prophecy, "MY GOD, MY GOD, why have YOU abandoned ME? Why so far
from delivering ME and from MY anguished roaring?" [Psalms (Tehillym)
22. 1 Tanakh, Kethuvim] JESUS, the CHRIST OF CALVARY cried out at that
time — "ELI, ELI, lama sabachthani — that is, 'MY GOD, MY GOD,
why have YOU forsaken ME?'" [Matthew 27. 46] The crowning moment of
HIS ministry was coming, but first HE had to endure the crucifixion.
JESUS had to suffer, abandoned by GOD THE FATHER. However, the LORD
YESHUA ha'MASHIACH would soon rise as SOVEREIGN GOD OF THE UNIVERSE.

...to be continued

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
As we bid farewell to Sabbath, our prayer is that the HOLY LORD GOD,
blessed be HE, WHO separates the holy from the secular, forgive our
sins, guide our life, and fill our up-coming week with HIS DIVINE
PRESENCE. May some of the sweetness of Sabbath be experienced daily.
Tov Shavua — Have a good week!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 30 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Sun 27 Feb 2011, 12:43 am

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
No matter how great the loss, this faith of ours always remains.

EZEKIEL'S VISION (Part 4)
WHEELS & FIRE — "Such then was the appearance of the LIVING
CREATURES, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like
torches. Fire was moving about among the living creatures; the fire had
a radiance, and lightning issued from it. And the LIVING CREATURES ran
and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning. As I gazed on
the LIVING CREATURES, I saw one wheel on the earth next to each of the
Four-Faced CREATURES. As for the appearance and structure of the wheels,
they gleamed like beryl. All four had the same likeness; the appearance
and structure of each was as of two wheels cutting through each other
— a wheel in the middle of a wheel. And when they moved, each could
move in any one of four directions; they did not turn aside when they
moved. Their rims were so tall they were frightening; for the rims of
all four were covered all over with eyes." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 1. 13 -
18 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The LIVING CREATURES are presented as having the appearance of burning
coals of fire and torches. The NEW COVENANT tells us that "Our GOD is a
CONSUMING FIRE." [Hebrews 12. 29] The OLD COVENANT, David said, "The
LORD is my LIGHT." [Psalms (Tehillym) 27. 1 Tanakh, Kethuvim] MESSIAH
YESHUA, when addressing the Pharisees stated emphatically that HE was
"The LIGHT OF THE WORLD." [John 8. 12] The FIRE and the LIGHT went up
and down around the creatures. The LORD JESUS is "the BRIGHTNESS of HIS
(the FATHER'S) glory and the EXPRESS IMAGE OF HIS PERSON." [Hebrews 1.
3] Our MIGHTY GOD is a CONSUMING FIRE and the ETERNAL LIGHT.

The LIVING CREATURES "ran and returned." To return to a place, one has
to have been there before. At the beginning of this age, the SON OF
GOD stepped down from Heaven and for 33 years lived on this planet. As
the LORD YESHUA was leaving Har ha'Zeitim (the Mount of Olives) to
return to Heaven, an angelic messenger made the promise, "This same
JESUS, WHO was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like
manner as you saw HIM go into heaven." [Acts 1. 11] Ezekiel portrays
the return of KING JESUS when it stated that the LIVING CREATURES
"returned like the appearance of a flash of lightning." [v. 14] YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH HIMSELF stated, "as the lightning comes out of the east, and
shines even unto the west, so shall also the coming of the SON OF MAN
be." [Matthew 24. 27]

There is a vivid description of the wheels which symbolism declares a
basic truth about the person of the LORD YESHUA. Speaking of the birth
of the MESSIAH in Beit'Lehem, Micah said, "(THE ONE) WHOSE origin is
from of old, from ancient times." [Micah (Michah) 5. 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im]
MESSIAH YESHUA is the EXALTED LORD, HE is Eternal! JESUS is GOD
EVERLASTING. The "likeness" represented by the "wheel upon the earth"
is the GOD/MAN. "A wheel in the middle of a wheel" represents the truth
of the incarnate SON in-dwelt by the SPIRIT OF YEHOWAH for power in HIS
ministry.

The rim of the wheels being tall and frightening speak of the majestic,
awesome greatness of the PERSONAGE of JESUS. The eyes around the rims
speak of HIS omniscience; HE sees all, including the thoughts and
intents of the heart. JESUS is the WONDROUS LORD and is to be feared
and worshiped.

The wheels also speak of the power of the HOLY SPIRIT united with the
LORD JESUS CHRIST. "And I looked, and behold, in the midst of the
Throne and the four LIVING CREATURES, and in the midst of the elders,
stood a LAMB as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven
eyes, which are the seven SPIRITS OF GOD sent out into all the earth."
[Revelation 5. 6] Zechariah declares that "those seven are the eyes of
the LORD, which scan to-and-fro ranging over the whole earth."
[Zechariah (Zecharyah) 4. 10 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Ultimately, the Book of Revelation concludes in telling of the "Four
LIVING CREATURES full of eyes in front and in back. The first LIVING
CREATURE was like a lion, the second LIVING CREATURE like a calf, the
third LIVING CREATURE had a face like a man, and the fourth LIVING
CREATURE was like a flying eagle. The four LIVING CREATURES, each having
six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day
or night, saying — "Holy! Holy! Holy! LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, WHO was and
is and is to come!" [Revelation 4. 6 - 8]

. . . to be continued

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Welcome Sabbath! Praise to our wonderful ALMIGHTY CREATOR GOD! We
praise and bless YOU, O GOD for lovingly and graciously giving YOUR Holy
Shabbat, the Bride, the Queen, the imagery of beauty and radiance —
testifying to the tremendous affection that the Sabbath is enjoyed among
YOUR people in YOUR RADIANT PRESENCE.
May yours be a YOM SHE'KULO SHABBAT — a day which is all-Sabbath
— enjoy its peace and harmony!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 30 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Fri 25 Feb 2011, 2:30 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Sometimes one must sift through life like an archeologist looking for
any remnant of humanity.

EZEKIEL'S VISION (Part 3)
HIS PERSON & WORK — "Each of them had a Human face (at the front);
each of the four had a face of a Lion on the right; each of the four had
the face of an Ox on the left; and each of the four had the face of an
Eagle (at the back)." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 1. 10 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

In studying the life of the LORD JESUS, we must look at the Four
GOSPELS: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Each GOSPEL sets a different
and distinct light of the life and ministry of our BLESSED REDEEMER; and
when taken together, they present a complete picture of HIM. The
GOSPELS reveal the meaning of Ezekiel's creatures and their Four Faces:

The GOSPEL of Matthew was written to the Jewish people and proclaimed
YESHUA as their KING; HE is the MESSIAH, the ANOINTED RULER. The
genealogy given in Matthew 1, shows that YESHUA was in the royal line of
King David through HIS legal father, Joseph. The book of Matthew
portray Messiah YESHUA as King, the LION.

Mark's GOSPEL presents YESHUA as a SERVANT. There is no genealogy of
JESUS given in Mark because no one would be interested in the lineage of
a servant. The face of the Ox accurately pictures the truth of the LORD
YESHUA as a SERVANT.

Luke declares that the LORD JESUS is the PERFECT MAN and gives another
genealogy tracing HIM back through HIS Mother, Miryam (Mary); and her,
from Adam, the first man. There would definitely be great interest in
the genealogy of a PERFECT MAN. Therefore, there is no better choice to
portray YESHUA as a MAN than the face of a MAN.

John shows the CHRIST JESUS' DEITY, the SON OF THE MOST HIGH GOD. The
genealogy that John presents begins and ends with the ALMIGHTY
OMNIPOTENT CREATOR — "no beginning or ending" — HE has always
been. The fourth face is that of an EAGLE, which perfectly represents
John's teaching that MESSIAH JESUS is the HOLY ETERNAL ONE. {The eagle
is "king of the birds" — the most feared enemy of the snake.}

The verse states, "the four had...the face of a LION on the right side;
the face of an OX on the left side." Two sides make up a whole. The
two-fold ministry of the LORD YESHUA is portrayed in the GOSPELS of
Matthew and Mark: JESUS came first as a SERVANT, and will one day
return as the SOVEREIGN KING. HE came the first time as the LAMB OF
GOD to die. . . and HE will return as the LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH to
reign forevermore.

DIRECTION & DELIVERANCE — "Such were their faces. As for their
wings, they were separated: Above, each had two touching those of the
others, while the other two covered its body. And each could move in the
direction of any of its faces; they went wherever the SPIRIT impelled
them to go, without turning, when they moved." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 1.
11 - 12 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"The wings stretched upward" speaks of our SAVIOUR'S confident reliance
upon ELOHEY. "The wings covering the creatures" speak of the
ALMIGHTY'S complete protection. Two phrases repeated throughout the
remainder of the chapter, "they went every one straight forward" and
"wherever the SPIRIT impelled them to go, they went" — tell of the
one direction and purpose the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH had in HIS life.
HE went wherever the "SPIRIT OF YAH" led HIM. In all HIS entire life,
YESHUA never veered from the course that was set before HIM.

. . . to be continued

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Kadosh, Kadosh, Kadosh, (Holy, Holy, Holy)
ADONAI ELOHIM SHADDAI (LORD GOD ALMIGHTY)
Asher Hayah Va-ho-veh VaY'vo (WHO was and is and is to come!)

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 30 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Thu 24 Feb 2011, 1:31 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
In order for a house to be a house, it must have a window and a door; a
door so I can enter myself, a window so I can see beyond myself.

EZEKIEL'S VISION (Part 2)
MAN or BEAST — "Out of the midst of it came the likeness of FOUR
LIVING CREATURES. And this was their appearance: They had the figures of
a man. However, each had four faces, and each of them had four wings;
the legs of each were (fused into) a single rigid leg, and the feet of
each were like a single calf's hoof, cleft in front, and their sparkle
was like the luster of burnished copper. They had human hands below
their wings. The four of them had their faces and their wings on their
four sides. Each one's wings toughed those of the other. They did not
turn when they moved, each could move in the direction of any of its
faces." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 1. 5 - 9 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The creatures are symbolic of a MAN — then it continues to describe
various aspects of the Creatures: Wings, hands, and feet are mentioned.
Each characteristic is picturesque in its illustration of the ONE WHO is
GOD and became MAN. {This is crucial to understanding the chapter.}

In this chapter, wings are seen covering, joined, pointed up-or-down,
and described in a number of different ways. The many uses of wings
illustrate ALMIGHTY GOD'S care and protection. "HE will cover you with
HIS feathers; you will find refuge under HIS wings." [Psalms (Tehillym)
91. 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim] These creatures have wings covering their
bodies, picturing protection. MESSIAH YESHUA, in HIS earthly ministry,
was cared for and protected by the MIGHTY OMNIPOTENT GOD OF HEAVEN.

Their straight feet picture legs without joints, the feet could go in
only one direction. As is recorded: "Survey the course you take, and
all your ways will prosper. Do not swerve to the right or the left; keep
your feet from evil." [Proverbs (Mishle) 4. 26 - 27 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
This is a counsel to believers to walk in straight paths; but, the
passage also is characteristic of the earthly walk of MESSIAH YESHUA.
The LORD JESUS always went in the direction HIS FATHER had laid out for
HIM. HE did not turn to the left or the right, but was perfect in all
HIS ways.

The sole of the creatures feet was "like the sole of a calf's foot; and
they sparkled like the color of burnished copper." The LORD JESUS came
first as the "LAMB OF GOD" [John 1. 29], and someday soon, HE will
return as the "LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH." [Revelation 5. 5] The
calf's foot speaks of HIS "first coming" as the SAVIOUR of the world.
In HOLY SCRIPTURE, copper indicate judgment and speaks of HIS "second
coming" as the SOVEREIGN JUDGE.

The hands under the wings speak of the accomplishment of JESUS' ministry
as a MAN. HE was protected and guided by FATHER GOD, but voluntarily
limited HIMSELF in HIS earthly ministry to that which HIS humanity would
permit. Verses 5 thru 9 therefore speak of THE ONE WHO came from
Heaven, took on flesh, was led by the SPIRIT OF GOD, walked a perfect
path, and is both SAVIOUR and SOVEREIGN LORD & KING.

. . .to be continued

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
The LORD shall yet comfort Zion and shall choose Jerusalem. The wise
serve the LORD OF GLORY out of their great love for HIM, in reverent
fear.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.
