Prayer needs

Pray for the rulers of China. That they would be touched by the gospel. Pray that they would have fair and just policies for the whole Chinese nation.

There is strong persecution of the churches, but God is moving especially among young people and business people. Pray that the church would stand strong in the face of persecution and grow and deepen in worship and witness.

Please pray that there would be more co-operation, between the registered and house churches and that this unity would be evident to everyone in China. May the whole of the country, know the love of God, by the love of the believers loving each other. Wow! what a difference that would make to us in the West.. Amen

Pray for the churches who are reaching out to the many thousands who come to Beijing seeking wealth. May they find true security and freedom in Jesus.

After the cruel put down of the uprising in Beijing a few years ago, God opened many hearts among the academic community. Please pray for that to continue.

Thanks for praying and standing with your brothers and sisters.

Father in Jesus name, we thank You that You are working right in the heart of China. We thank You that you are doing a new work of glory and power in this place, and we ask that You would grow and develop this work for Your glory and honour. Italy Part 2
Prayer Needs
More than 70% of the Comuni, which can range from small villages to Cities, have no Evangelical Group. Pray that this would be remedied
Many areas of the country are spiritual wastelands, especially in need are:
Abruzzo, Fruili, Ligura, Marche, Molise, Trentino,, Umbria, Valle D'Aosta and Veneto.
There are nearly 2 million students in Italy, but only 30 small groups with only 300 students. Pray for these groups and their protection and Growth. In Milan alone, there is a student population of 175,000 with little specific outreach.
Sardinia, an island of nearly 2 million people, with only 30 evangelical groups. Please pray for the growth of the church on this island.
There are over 500,000 drug addicts in Italy. Both Bethel and Teen Challenge have outreaches to them. Please pray for these ministries.
Supportive Ministries
There are minority groups of Albanians and Greeks. Please pray that the church, would reach out to them
Muslims, these are mostly from North Africa. Please pray that the church, would wake up to the open door.
Romani, have flooded into Italy. Please pray for the establishment of a lively church among them, like there has been in Spain
Illegal Immigration, is a serious problem. Please pray that the church, would reach out to these displaced people
The need for workers is massive, but so is the casualty rate. Please pray that God would raise up a might army of workers to storm this country and win it for CHRIST.
Please pray for a deep hunger for God's Word among Italians. The Gideons are very active. Please pray for this ministry

Father in the precious name of Jesus, we ask that You would transform Italy. We ask that You would send revival on Your church and pour out Your Spirit and Your grace upon Your church, so that it is equipped to reach out.

Thank God for the rising tide of co-operation amongst believers

The influx of people from around the world has included many vibrant Christian's. This has Stirred the Italian Church, to reach out more to it's own congregation

Prayer Needs

Italy remains culturally catholic, even the reformation passed it by. Please pray that all barriers are removed to the gospel and that Italians would seek after Jesus as Saviour as never before.

Italy is still in the hold of many infamous crime networks, such as the Mafia. Please pray that this stronghold, would be broken down.

Millions of Italians are bound by dead tradition, within the Roman Catholic Church. Pray that the light of the glorious Gospel, would shine upon them.

There is an unhealthy interest in the occult. Please pray that this stronghold is defeated and that Jesus reigns over Italy.

Please pray for deep and lasting Revival within the church that brings unity between the Pentecostals and Established Churches, and that this revival would impact the whole of Italy

Praise God for these good signs

Groups such as Italy For Christ and Christ Is The Answer are having an increasing impact.

Missions vision is still small scale, but growing. Pray that many Italian believers, would reach out in corporate and personal witness.

Many new believers, have come to Italy from such places as Asia, Eastern Europe and South America. Pray that these believers, would stir and encourage the Italian Believers.

Please pray that many Italians would be called into Full time training to be Pastors and church workers.

Father, we ask that you would touch this great nation. We ask that everyone of Your children in Italy, would be filled to overflowing with the Power of Your Holy Spirit. We ask that You pour out Your Holy Spirit, and that Your Gospel, would change Italy.

For those of you, actually living in this great country, you are not forgotten and we stand daily with you in prayer

Prayer Needs

The Christian population, may be higher. In recent years mass evangelism has brought thousands into the Kingdom. Nomalism is a major problem. Please pray that the church is grounded soundly In God's word.

Hindu's have made serious attempts to re- convert Dalits. Pray that these attempts come to nothing.

Hyderabad is a key station for many christian ministries. Pray that not only may these ministries prosper and grow, but that they would impact the whole city.

Islam is prevalent in Hyderabad, and there is an open door to the Gospel. Please pray that the church would wake up to the opportunity that exists and that many workers would be called to this work.

Outreach work continues. Please pray for the following areas

To the forward castes

Three districts and 107 sub districts are only 0.1 christian

There are several people groups with 100,000 people who are without a viable witness. these include the Telega, Balija, Shaikh and Nai.

Hyderabad has had a mass influx, from all over India. Please pray that God would awaken the church to this wonderful opportunity.

One of Hindu's holiest places is in Tirupathi. Please pray that the church, would reach out to people who come to this place.

Father in the Precious name of Jesus, we bring this state of Andhra Pradesh before you and we ask that your church is energized by the power of your Holy Spirit to reach out and transform it, by the power of the glorious Gospel

Anhui Province
Location Central China
Area 139, 900 sq km
Population 63 million
Evangelical Population 16.2 %
Prayer needs
This is one of the poorest provinces of China and has led to a great turning to Christ. Pray that the church would continue to grow and that they would have a great impact on society
Two of the largest house church networks are in this province. Please pray for co- operation, between the TSPM state controlled church and the house church movement
Please pray for unity, there have been several damaging splits over minor points of doctrine.
Pray that the Christian's, who have the passion to reach out and not just sit and be comfortable in their Church's
The TSPM has 5000 meeting points alone, but only 100 ordained pastors. Please pray that the church, would be a mature church and not be undermined by false teaching, which is increasingly prevalent
The church has suffered much persecution, but has not bowed the knee to this. Please pray that the church, would be found faithful in suffering and that it conquer through the power of it's testimony and the precious blood of the Lord Jesus
Father, we thank you for every Chinese believer and we ask that you would strengthen and uphold them right now. We ask that they would have the mind of Christ and that you would fill them to overflowing with your Holy Spirit

Over 70 Christians Arrested in Iran
during [color:287a=#000]Christmas

Urgent Prayer Needed

In the early morning hours after Christmas day, the Iranian government arrested 25 Christians in Tehran and other locations. They also planned to detain sixteen others, but were unable to locate them. There are also unconfirmed reports that the authorities have arrested over 50 other Christians. According to BBC Persian, the Governor of Tehran has vowed to arrest more evangelical Christians.

One of those detained was able to make a call to friends from an unknown location on the morning of the arrests, leaving this message -

"Unfortunately early this morning the authorities came to our homes. They arrested us and many other believers. I want to ask you to pray for us. We are sure God will never leave us or forsake us. God bless you. Sorry for giving you bad news over Christmas, but I believe God will do something for us."

Those who received the voice message were impressed by the caller's courage and calmness.

Armed, plain-clothes, special security officers forcefully entered the homes of Christians while they were asleep, and verbally and physically abused them. They were handcuffed and taken for interrogation. Among those arrested were five married couples. One couple was separated from their two-year old baby. Another couple was also forced to leave their baby that the mother was breastfeeding. A number of single young women were also among those taken.

Another sixteen Christians would have been arrested, but were not at home. The security forces broke into at least five such homes, ransacking them, taking personal possessions, changing the locks and placing a government seal on the door. Family members of these Christians have been called by the authorities and threatened and harassed. They were instructed to tell the Christians to surrender themselves.

After many hours of interrogation, eleven of the detained were released. The other fourteen are still in prison. There has been no contact from eight of the arrested. Six have been able to make a very short call to their families. In one of the brief calls, one of the arrested complained that they are being subjected to sleep deprivation.

None of them have been granted any legal representation. No charges have been made, though it is clear that they were arrested for their active Christian faith. There has been a gross lack of due process. The government authorities have not provided any written documents as to the reason for the arrests, any record of the items confiscated, and family members are not allowed to visit the detained.

There is an urgent need for Christians all over the world to intercede for our brothers and sisters in prison in Iran.

Let us pray that they will experience the presence and the power of the Holy Spirit, even in their prison cells. Pray they will have supernatural endurance and courage through this trial, and be shining witnesses to the guards and other inmates. Pray for peace and wisdom when they are being interrogated. Pray for their health. Pray for comfort and confidence for their families. Pray they will soon be released.

Pray for the welfare and protection of those the government is still seeking to arrest. Pray the Lord will guide their every step. Pray for the wider church in Iran to continue faithfully and fearlessly proclaiming the Good News of the Gospel. Pray for those who are working to help the persecuted and their families.

It is comforting to know that our sovereign, omniscient, all-powerful God knows about every single arrest that has been made, and that He will bring glory to His name through this suffering. He will cause this persecution to bring victory for His Kingdom in Iran.

Praise God that Christian's are at every level of Indian Society and that they have a dynamic impact in areas such as health and education

Thank God that persecution has refined and focused the church like never before.

Thank God for the thousands of new believers every day

Praise God that Indian believers are becoming mission minded and seeking to reach out to every caste group

Many previously resistant groups are now being touched by the gospel. Pray that this would continue

The Internet.. India is fast becoming a wired community. Praise God that the gospel is reaching to millions of people through this method

Answers to Prayer

Praise God for the survival and growth of the Chinese church, which is one the modern miracles of today's world.

Thanks God for the commitment and constancy of Chinese Christians, even under the most severe persecution. The Chinese church has been refined by fire and is so much better for it

Christians in China are found in every sector of Chinese society and are having a dynamic effect on the sweeping social, economic and political changes that are happening in China today

The political leaders are starting to recognise the influence of believers and to seek to have a meaningful dialogue with them

Earthquake's in 2008 and 2010, has allowed the church to show deep compassion to the victims

Spiritual unity between the believers.. God has blessed this unity

The church has a deep vision for reaching out.. not only to China, but to the rest of Asia and beyond

Christian media ministries have and are flourishing within China. Thank God that bibles can now be published within China.
