A senior teacher at a school in Kedah had allegedly told non-Muslim students not to drink water in class but to do so in the washroom.
The teacher, who is in charge of student affairs, had also allegedly told the pupils that if they don’t have water, they could drink from the “tap or their own urine” instead.
This is according to a purported letter of complaint dated yesterday that has gone viral on various social media platforms.
“The speech by the senior assistant for student affairs is uncivilised and uncouth, and could stoke racial sentiments among non-Muslim students and community.
“It is also clear that he as a teacher has no respect for the feelings of non-Muslim students, teachers, and next-of-kin,” read the letter.
The letter names the Kedah state education department director as the addressee, and was purportedly from the “Next-of-kin of non-Muslim Students” of the school
The teacher allegedly made the statement yesterday during a school assembly. Sunday is a school day in some states including Kedah.
Although not explicitly mentioned in the letter, the statement came just four days into the Ramadan fasting period.
When contacted, the school authorities told Malaysiakini today that officials are in midst of a meeting to discuss the allegations.
Malaysiakini is withholding the name of the school pending comment.

Obama rebuffs Israel’s last-ditch bid for nuclear constraints in Iran accord
Obama’s true objectives are manifest yet again in this latest rout of attempts to rein in or impede the Islamic Republic of Iran’s march to nuclear war. Obama’s jihad against the Jewish state now borders on near-mania.
These concessions, some might even say initiatives, to nuclear weaponize are astonishing.
The Obama regime has been a seamless coup on Americanism, freedom, and the very premise of the existence of this country.
US Security Adviser Susan Rice say NO to Israel
Israel’s National Security Adviser Yossi Cohen was invited to join two top US officials for dinner in Washington on June 15 to try and make Israel’s case for amending the disastrous nuclear accord taking shape in Vienna between the six world powers and Iran, before it was too late. This meeting is reported here by debkafile for the first time. It was hosted by US National Security Adviser Susan Rice and senior US nuclear negotiator Undersecretary of State Wendy Sherman.
The occasion was arranged by CIA Director John Brennan at the end of his visit to Jerusalem in the first week of June. He had come to offer senior Israelis, led by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, a behind-the-scenes briefing on the provisions the Obama administration had accepted for the final nuclear accord with Iran due to be signed by June 30.
This briefing was greeted in Jerusalem with shock and alarm. Very few of the conditions for a deal stipulated by the US upon embarking on the negotiations had survived: Iran would continue to enrich uranium, be allowed to bar international inspections of military facilities suspected of hosting nuclear research activity (where were Obama’s “intrusive inspections?) and – Israeli officials heard this for the first time – the Iranian UCF facility at Isfahan would be expanded. This plant is engaged in the conversion of “yellow cake” to enriched nuclear material.
They also discovered that President Obama, who had originally promised the deal would provide for “snapping sanctions back” in the event of violations, had assured Tehran that once sanctions were lifted, they would not be re-imposed.
Netanyahu asked Brennan for time to digest the full extent of the Obama administration’s retreat in the face of Iran’s nuclear aspirations. He then asked for his national security adviser to be given a chance to propose changes that would allay some of Israel’s concerns.
Brennan quickly set up a date for Cohen to be received in Washington.
debkafile’s Washington sources reveal that at the dinner in Washington, the Israeli official tried a new tack with his hostesses, Rice and Sherman. On the understanding that the main clauses of the nuclear accord had been finalized and gone past the stage of amendment, he nonetheless suggested a number of insertions in the various clauses that would make it a better deal for American as well as Israeli security.
Rice and Sherman politely allowed him to finish talking and then turned his proposals down flat.
US and Israeli official sources agree that the invitation to Cohen had not been intended for any serious discussion between the two governments on the Iranian nuclear issue. The two top American officials dealing with the nuclear question barely heard a word that Cohen said. His journey to Washington was a complete waste of time.

A Blundering Stupidity

Ben Hubbard of the New York Times writes of the Islamic State, or ISIS, that “…the group is offering reliable, if harsh, security; providing jobs in decimated economics; and providing a rare sense of order in a region overwhelmed by conflict.” This summary of ISIS and their good deeds sounds eerily similar (and just as disgusting) to the accolades bestowed upon Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party before — and even after — the Second World War and the Holocaust. Hubbard uses the example of a nameless labourer from Raqqa who had “earned good money painting their offices,” who opined of ISIS and their implementation of Sharia law that, “As a way of life, people got used to it.” But the human spirit can adapt to, and even survive, the most trying of circumstances, as evidenced by Jewish survivors of Nazi extermination camps. Or, as the old Yiddish proverb reminds us, “Having no choice is also a choice.”
Leave it to a New York Times reporter to find the smallest measure of good in an entity as shamelessly and overtly nefarious as ISIS and the cruelty they have loosed upon the civilian populations of Syria and Iraq. I remember an openly hostile Muslim in attendance at a conference on Islamic jihad in Grapevine, Texas years ago suggesting to Robert Spencer that “the Prophet Mohammed did a lot of good things.” To which Mr. Spencer immediately replied, “Yes, and Hitler built the Autobahn.” But, tragically, Ben Hubbard’s lummoxic optimism is the measure of the intelligence (or perhaps its absence) of public opinion in our present age.
Tony Judt, in his book Postwar, observes that immediately following World War II, “Few Europeans in that time, well-informed or otherwise, anticipated the scale of change that was about to break upon them.” The ravages of war had “induced in many a skeptical pessimism.” Under the dark shadow of this pessimism they had no idea of how quickly they would recover (much of it thanks to American dollars and goodwill) from the destruction of yet a second world war in less than fifty years. Conversely, this is the same Europe which, “in the years preceding World War One,” as an “optimistic continent,” could not foresee the swift obliteration of the promising future they naively envisioned for themselves.
And this is where, in my opinion, Western democracies are situated today: We have translated into an imprudently and naively “optimistic continent.” We are moving backward instead of forward. Why else would we even consider allowing “returning jihadists” back into our midst without addressing their crimes committed in the name of Islam? Britain’s outgoing Foreign Minister William Hague told the BBC in an interview back in November 2014 that these poor Muslim extremists “just need help because they will have been through an extremely traumatic period.” Apparently the extremely traumatic experiences of their victims have, in the interests of social progress, become irrelevant to Mr. Hague and the British ruling class. How else to explain Mr. Hague’s disjointed morality and his government’s injudicious policy for returning religious psychopaths? Not to be outdone, Canada served up Omar Khadr the same hospitality by releasing him into the public domain. Welcome to Canada, eh.
In July of this year certain of our Muslim population will be observing Al Quds Day in Toronto. Apparently it’s also in the interest of “social progress” that patriotic Canadians should view this “celebration” as no more than an innocuous outpouring of support for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. This is the “spiritual leader” of Iran, whom many Israeli Jews surely remember for his 2001 declaration: “It is the mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to erase Israel from the map of the region.” In 2010, to reassure his faithful that his anti-Jewish hatred has not been by any means abated over the years, he tweeted, “Israel is a hideous entity in the Middle East which will undoubtedly be annihilated.” My question is, Why does this present Canadian government allow Al Quds Day—a solemnization of the dreams and visions of this genocidal Muslim madman from Iran—to be celebrated anywhere in Canada?
This past Wednesday I contacted the office of Daryl Kramp, Member of Parliament for Prince Edward-Hastings and Chair of the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security, regarding this issue. His secretary promised she would forward my concerns to Mr. Kramp, but as of today (four days later), I have received no reply. One would think that a member of Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s Conservative government — a government that has promised to stand with Israel through thick and thin — particularly Canada’s Chair of the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security, would be, at least, recognizably alarmed about members of Canada’s Muslim communities celebrating the life of an Iranian anti-Jewish bigot whose obsession with the annihilation of the State of Israel has not exactly been kept a state secret. Personally, as a Canadian and as a friend of many loyal and patriotic Jewish Canadians, I cannot see how the celebration of Al Quds Day in downtown Toronto (an affront to all Canadians) can be dismissed by PM Harper’s Conservative government (and Daryl Kramp in particular) as harmless political activism and not a threat to national security.
Our sufferance of Islamic religious fervour, fervour so obviously foreign to our cultural traditions, should be regarded as a prime example of our public intelligence. And if our accommodation of violent religious lunatics and the opening of doors to returning ISIS jihadists is any kind of indicator of the measure of this intelligence, then I must say that Western democracies are today found wanting. We are not exhibiting social progress but rather social disintegration. Our ostentatious fidelity to political correctness (a fidelity borne of the fear of how elitist Western journalists publicly excoriate the prudent of this world) is no different than the heedlessness that ushered in first Kristallnacht, and afterward Bergen-Belsen and Babi Yar. We refuse to acknowledge this grim regression, which is not public intelligence at all but rather a blundering stupidity.

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) – With some lawmakers chanting “Death to the America,” Iran’s parliament voted to ban access to military sites, documents and scientists as part of a future deal with world powers over its contested nuclear program.
The bill, if ratified, could complicate the ongoing talks in Vienna between Iran and the six-nation group – the U.S., Britain, France, Russia, China and Germany – as they face a self-imposed June 30 deadline. The talks are focused on reaching a final accord that curbs Iran’s nuclear program in return for the lifting of economic sanctions.
Of 213 lawmakers present on Sunday, 199 voted in favor of the bill, which also demands the complete lifting of all sanctions against Iran as part of any final nuclear accord. The bill must be ratified by the Guardian Council, a constitutional watchdog, to become a law.
The terms stipulated in the bill allow for international inspections of Iranian nuclear sites, but forbid any inspections of military facilities.

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) – With some lawmakers chanting “Death to the America,” Iran’s parliament voted to ban access to military sites, documents and scientists as part of a future deal with world powers over its contested nuclear program.
The bill, if ratified, could complicate the ongoing talks in Vienna between Iran and the six-nation group – the U.S., Britain, France, Russia, China and Germany – as they face a self-imposed June 30 deadline. The talks are focused on reaching a final accord that curbs Iran’s nuclear program in return for the lifting of economic sanctions.
Of 213 lawmakers present on Sunday, 199 voted in favor of the bill, which also demands the complete lifting of all sanctions against Iran as part of any final nuclear accord. The bill must be ratified by the Guardian Council, a constitutional watchdog, to become a law.
The terms stipulated in the bill allow for international inspections of Iranian nuclear sites, but forbid any inspections of military facilities.

A senior teacher at a school in Kedah had allegedly told non-Muslim students not to drink water in class but to do so in the washroom.
The teacher, who is in charge of student affairs, had also allegedly told the pupils that if they don’t have water, they could drink from the “tap or their own urine” instead.
This is according to a purported letter of complaint dated yesterday that has gone viral on various social media platforms.
“The speech by the senior assistant for student affairs is uncivilised and uncouth, and could stoke racial sentiments among non-Muslim students and community.
“It is also clear that he as a teacher has no respect for the feelings of non-Muslim students, teachers, and next-of-kin,” read the letter.
The letter names the Kedah state education department director as the addressee, and was purportedly from the “Next-of-kin of non-Muslim Students” of the school
The teacher allegedly made the statement yesterday during a school assembly. Sunday is a school day in some states including Kedah.
Although not explicitly mentioned in the letter, the statement came just four days into the Ramadan fasting period.
When contacted, the school authorities told Malaysiakini today that officials are in midst of a meeting to discuss the allegations.
Malaysiakini is withholding the name of the school pending comment.

A car bomb exploded in Yemen’s capital Sanaa on Saturday near the Qiba al-Mahdi mosque used by the Houthi militia, killing two people and wounding six others, witnesses and a security source told Reuters.
The Islamic State group said it was behind the car bomb. The group said in a statement published on militant Twitter accounts that the attack was targeting the Houthi militia, whose fighters have used the mosque, located in the old city of Sanaa.
Two coalition air raids early on Saturday hit the al-Dulaimi air base near Sanaa’s international airport, while several others targeted Saada in northern Yemen and areas near the border with Saudi Arabia, witnesses and the Houthis said.
In Marib, a region east of Sanaa contested in fighting for the past three months, 15 Houthis and four tribal fighters were killed in clashes on Saturday morning, tribal sources told Reuters. (Reuters)…

Ten ulema and a former judge criticised a bill that would water down the existing blasphemy law. They also support the release of Mumtaz Qadri, who murdered Punjab Governor Salman Taseer, who defended Asia Bibi.
Lahore (AsiaNews) – Islamic religious leaders have attacked the government’s plan to neutralise the much criticised blasphemy laws, and expressed strong support for the release of Mumtaz Qadri, the bodyguard who murdered Punjab Governor Salman Taseer.
An emotionally charged ‘Seminar for protection of Prophet’s dignity’ was held last Saturday at Lahore Press Club. Ten ulemas expressed their reservation against a draft bill that aims to add the word “intention” to the law.
Human rights groups as well as Church leaders have repeatedly stated that 295C is used in extrajudicial killings and the burning of Christian settlements.
If approved by the Law Ministry, the new legislation would be reviewed by a committee before going to parliament. According to seminar speakers, 14 people accused of blasphemy have been hanged so far, whilst 19 more are serving life imprisonment.
The speakers included retired Justice Mian Nazir Akhtar, counsel to Mumtaz Qadri, who is jailed for killing Punjab governor Salman Taseer because he referred to the country’s blasphemy law as “black law” in a television show.
Taseer, a Muslim, had gained popularity among Pakistan’s Christian minority for trying to help Asia Bibi, a Christian woman sentenced to death for allegedly defiling the name of the Prophet Muhammad.
The judge who sentenced Mumtaz Qadri to death left for Saudi Arabia along with his family after receiving death threats from extremists.
“This single act [Taseer’s murder] made Qadri immortal,” said Mian Nazir Akhtar to the ovation of those present. “Taseer’s authority could not save him. He had lowered himself and violated his oath for a woman who was proven guilty by the court and then punished. He carried a western agenda (for abolishing the blasphemy law) for more than three years and was finally sent to hell.”
“The new bill rejects all sayings by the Holy Prophet. When it comes to the sanctity of the Prophet, the implementation of all manmade laws become different. Those who insult Him have no rights, including no right to live. There is no need for trial or hearings,” added the former judge.
Other speakers also warned government leaders against tampering with the blasphemy law. Quoting Islamic references in favour of the death sentence, they threatened sit-ins, protest rallies and fatwas against supporters of the proposed bill.
“Youths will be sacrificed, ghazi (reference to Qadri) will be saved” and “Allah o Akbar,” chanted the bearded attendants.
Saeeda Deep, of the Institute of Peace and Secular Studies, has campaigned for changes to blasphemy law a few years ago.
“We tried to prove blasphemy by producing four Muslim witnesses, but our voices are being suppressed. Even Saudi Arabia, our religious hub, does not follow such strict version of this law”, she told AsiaNews.
“If the clerics believe in killing in the name of God, they must accept death sentence of governor’s guard for the same cause”.

Last Friday, the Justice Department issued an affidavit charging Dawud Sharif Abdul Khaliq (David Wright), 25, of Everett, Massachusetts, and Nuh Amriki aka Nuh al Andalusi (Nicholas Rovinski), of Warwick, Rhode Island, with plotting to behead me, and then changing their plans to target Boston police.
In all the coverage, the media refers to these Islamic jihadis as Wright and Rovinski. They never use their Islamic names. More scrubbing, more obfuscating.
Yet by whatever name they call then, their arrests confirm what I have repeatedly said: The Islamic State is here. ISIS is here. Islamic terrorism is here – down your block, perhaps.
According to the affidavit, “Wright, Rovinski and Rahim [that is, Usaama Rahim, the third jihadi who was killed as he attempted to murder police officers in Boston] conspired to attack and behead a person referred to in the affidavit as ‘Intended Victim-1,’ a resident of New York, who had organized a conference in Garland, Texas, on May 3, 2015, featuring cartoons depicting the Islamic Prophet Muhammad.”
Reuters, if you recall, said I made it up: “Activist says Boston beheading plot targeted her; police express doubt.”
I am still awaiting Reuters’ correction and apology. But I don’t think it will come. The media want to make it all about me – “controversial,” “provocative,” “inciteful” – as if getting rid of me, rids us of the problem.
The left, the RINOS and the Islamic apologists say I am “provocative” for standing against Shariah.
Were the Jewish children murdered in cold blood by a devout Muslim at a Jewish Day School in
France “provocative”?
Was Daniel Pearl “provocative”?
Were James Foley, Steve Sotloff, Alan Henning, et al “provocative”?
Were the shoppers at the kosher deli, Hyper Cacher, who were massacred by the jihadi Amedy Coulibaly, “provocative”?
Are the Yazidi and non-Muslim girls who have been gang-raped and sold into slavery “provocative”?
Is the existence of Israel “provocative”?
Are the millions of non-Muslims being ethnically cleansed across the Middle East “provocative”?
Were the World Trade Center towers “provocative”?
Were the soldiers in Fort Hood, Texas, “provocative’?
Was beheading victim Colleen Hufford in Oklahoma “provocative”?
The media have been avoiding reality since 9/11, and now we are suffering the consequences of their avoiding reality. There is a problem in Islam, with or without Pamela Geller. By virtue of this jihad murder plot against me, I have become the proxy for every freedom-loving American who refuses to submit to violent intimidation.
I am the Islamic State’s No. 1 target because I am, unlike most of the mainstream media, refusing to bow down to them and submit to their dictates. They want to make an example out of me to frighten the rest of the U.S. into silence and submission – that is, to frighten those who have not already submitted.
This is not about me. This is about whether the U.S. will stand for freedom or submit and cower before violent intimidation. They targeted me for violating Shariah blasphemy laws. They mean to kill everyone who doesn’t do their bidding and abide by them voluntarily.
This is a showdown for American freedom. Will we stand against this savagery, or bow down to them and silence ourselves?
The one thing that’s being ignored that came out of Garland is that ISIS is not just coming. It’s here. Islamic terrorism is here. Americans were targeted for slaughter on our home soil. Islamic terrorism is here, and we are thwarting attacks on a now weekly sometime daily basis.
Will the media realize what’s at stake, and that their heads are next, or continue to target me because they hate my message of freedom? And why isn’t the Obama administration protecting Americans? Why is he providing cover for savages who are hell-bent on destroying American freedoms and those who stand for it? Why are they importing hundreds of thousands of Muslims from jihad nations?

Several Boston-area terror suspects, including the man killed by police earlier this month as he allegedly sought to behead cops and two alleged associates, have frequently attended sermons given by firebrand imam whose message to the faithful doesn’t match the conciliatory tone he struck when contacted by FoxNews.com.
Imam Abdullah Faaruuq, of the Mosque for the Praising of Allah in Roxbury, Mass., has been seen on videos of his fiery sermons exhorting worshipers to commit acts of violence in the name of Islam. In videos of Faaruuq preaching, the former Northeastern University chaplain appears to skirt the line between metaphor and incitement.
“You must grab onto the rope, grab onto the typewriter, grab onto the shovel, grab onto the gun and the sword,” he railed in one video reviewed by FoxNews.com. “Don’t be afraid to step out into this world and do your job.”
It is not known if convicted or suspected terrorists including the Boston Marathon bombers, Usaamah Rahim, who was brandishing a knife when police shot him on June 2 or two men who have since been charged in the same plot heard sermons like these, but all have attended prayers with Faaruuq. The imam has been on the radar of researchers at Americans for Peace & Tolerance (APT), a conservative group devoted to exposing Islamic extremism, since 2009. Ilya Feoktistov, director of research at the organization, says he first spotted Faaruuq at a rally in support of now-convicted terrorist, Tarek Mehanna, who was convicted for providing material support to Al Qaeda and conspiring to kill Americans.
“We knew he was a prominent Imam in the Boston Muslim community,” Feoktistov told FoxNews.com. “We were concerned as to what he might be teaching.”
Usaama Rahim, 26, who reportedly was obsessed with killing anti-Islamist activist Pamela Geller, allegedly plotted with Nicholas Rovinski, 24, of Warwick, R.I., and David Wright, 25, of Everett, Mass., to help ISIS by killing U.S. citizens. Rovinski was arrested Thursday, and appeared in court Friday on charges of conspiring to provide material support to ISIS. Wright was arrested last week on a conspiracy charge and is due in court June 19.
In addition to preaching at the Mosque for the Praising of Allah, Faaruuq gave sermons at the mosque that Boston Marathon bombers Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev attended.
When FoxNews.com reached out to Faaruuq to ask about his teachings, including the sermon in which he mentions taking up the “gun and the sword,” the imam said he was simply advising his followers to learn to protect themselves.
“You have to do your job to maintain the peace,” he said. “We all need to pitch in to make this better, or our future will be increasingly gloomy. Get involved in the work you do to lift heavy oppression.”
Neither the Boston police nor the FBI would comment on Faaruuq. But one active member of Boston’s Muslim community, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Faaruuq’s words were not ambiguous.
“There are two types of people in Islam; radicals, and those that are peaceful,” the man said. “We never talk of killing, and never talk of taking out our ‘swords,’ even as a symbolic measure.”
The man said sermons like those given by Faaruuq are calibrated to stoke rage and promote radicalism.
“For a young mind, these statements carry weight,” he said. “That young mind now thinks it can change the world with the sword.”
Rahim reportedly comes from a devout Muslim family, but his parents did not attend Faaruuq’s mosque, according to a family attorney. The attorney did not comment on how often Rahim attended prayers at Mosque for the Praising of Allah, but told FoxNews.com the family considers the imam, who has spoken out against the police who killed Rahim, a “close friend.”
Faaruuq told FoxNews.com blame for Rahim’s death lay with the police.
“Usaamah Rahim’s death was an unfortunate incident that well could have been avoided if it were more appropriately handled by law enforcement officials,” Faaruuq said. “There could have been some intelligence for them that came out of keeping Usaamah Rahim alive, but they didn’t want to.”
Faaruuq denied that his teachings radicalized listeners and said the real blame for terrorist groups like ISIS rests with the U.S. government policies.
“ISIS was not created by Islamic teachings,” he said. “It was created by the United States’ encouragement into other people’s countries seeking weapons of mass destruction that don’t exist, and destroying their societies and leaving the bitter taste in young people’s mouths.”

Several Boston-area terror suspects, including the man killed by police earlier this month as he allegedly sought to behead cops and two alleged associates, have frequently attended sermons given by firebrand imam whose message to the faithful doesn’t match the conciliatory tone he struck when contacted by FoxNews.com.
Imam Abdullah Faaruuq, of the Mosque for the Praising of Allah in Roxbury, Mass., has been seen on videos of his fiery sermons exhorting worshipers to commit acts of violence in the name of Islam. In videos of Faaruuq preaching, the former Northeastern University chaplain appears to skirt the line between metaphor and incitement.
“You must grab onto the rope, grab onto the typewriter, grab onto the shovel, grab onto the gun and the sword,” he railed in one video reviewed by FoxNews.com. “Don’t be afraid to step out into this world and do your job.”
It is not known if convicted or suspected terrorists including the Boston Marathon bombers, Usaamah Rahim, who was brandishing a knife when police shot him on June 2 or two men who have since been charged in the same plot heard sermons like these, but all have attended prayers with Faaruuq. The imam has been on the radar of researchers at Americans for Peace & Tolerance (APT), a conservative group devoted to exposing Islamic extremism, since 2009. At first, last week’s shooting in a Boston parking lot of a man wielding a knife sounded as though it would become another story of the police overreacting. On Friday federal authorities in Boston said the dead man was the ringleader of a plot to behead American citizens or kill Massachusetts cops, in solidarity with Islamic State. The risk of “lone-wolf” terror attacks in the U.S. continues.
Federal prosecutors in Boston also arrested two other men and charged them with helping the dead assailant, Usaamah Abdullah Rahim. The authorities said that Nicholas Rovinski, who calls himself Nuh Amriki, and David Wright, known as Dawud Sharif Abdul Khaliq, intended to behead Pamela Geller, who staged a Mohammed cartoon show in Texas. The plans changed when Rahim decided instead to go after the police.
It is certainly disturbing to learn that some Americans can be transformed into agents of murder for Islamic State. How that is happening was the subject of a hearing June 3 in the U.S. House of Representatives. Rep. Michael McCaul of Texas, chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, took testimony on how the Web and social media are being used by terror groups to recruit and brainwash accomplices inside the U.S.
According to Michael Steinbach, assistant director of the FBI’s counter-terrorism division, online jihadists often communicate via heavily encrypted systems that are difficult and often impossible to detect. The online propaganda packages deployed by Islamic State website operators are well-produced.
Of late, alert police work has prevented tragedy. A sharpshooting cop stopped two U.S.-based jihadists from opening fire on the cartoon show in Garland, Texas. Authorities in Boston this week appear to have prevented a homicidal assault on the police there.
The Tsarnaev brothers, however, were not stopped, nor was Nidal Halik Hasan at Fort Hood, Texas. Some of our liberal and libertarian friends say the case for surveilling online jihadist recruitment is overstated. We’d say it’s more needed than ever.

Geller, a controversial figure in the free speech movement, set off a series of debates over the years relating to stories about Islamists and their allies in the United States. From fighting the proposed Ground Zero mosque to proposing metro ads critical of Islam to Muhammad art exhibits, Pam Gellar [sic] has been an effective free speech activist for a number of years. The Daily Caller sent Geller questions via e-mail Thursday and she returned the following responses:
TheDC: How do you think the left has changed on the subject of free speech?
GELLER: From the Free Speech Movement of the 1960s, it has been a long descent — or perhaps a long revelation of the left’s authoritarianism and hypocrisy. The left is not interested in free speech or free discourse. It wants to crush all dissent.
TheDC: You mentioned there would be more Muhammad art oriented exhibits in the near future. Is there an estimate as to how many are currently scheduled or are in the planning process?
GELLER: We have several new initiatives in defense of free speech that we will be announcing soon. [Tomorrow]
TheDC: Some critics of these art exhibits say the works showing images of Muhammad are “offensive” to Muslims. Is it the fact that just an image of Muhammad (whether with ill will or good intent) was created that’s the offense? Can you explain this?
GELLER: Yes, Islamic law forbids making images of Muhammad, but this prohibition was often ignored in Islamic history, particularly in medieval Persia. The fury over Muhammad cartoons today is an attempt to force the free world to accept Sharia blasphemy laws, and establish the precedent that Western law and mores must give way to Sharia.
TheDC: Has there been any positive reaction from your efforts from Muslims around the world? Please describe the most interesting responses.
GELLER: Many Muslims and ex-Muslims, those who live both openly and secretly, have written me with immense and touching gratitude and relief, thrilled that someone is at last exposing the violence, hatred and hypocrisy that deformed their lives, and about which they finally woke up and from which they were finally able to free themselves.
TheDC: Do you wear body armor? If yes, how often?
GELLER: For obvious reasons, I do not comment on my security measures.
TheDC: How often do you receive threats? Is it mostly via internet, social media?
GELLER: Quite frequently, usually via email and often also via comments on my website.
TheDC: Have you received the threats any other way outside of the internet? Please describe.
GELLER: The FBI and police have informed me of several threats, as well as of the chatter last week that turned out to be the Boston jihadis’ plot.
TheDC: What about close friends and family? Have they been threatened as a result of their association to you?
GELLER: For obvious reasons, I have no comment on this.
TheDC: What about lawsuits? Are there any pending against you as a result of the art exhibits? Have you filed any 1st amendment lawsuits yourself?
GELLER: No lawsuits are pending against me. How could there be? It is not illegal under American law to show Muhammad. And we took every precaution to protect those who attended our Garland event — and our precautions worked. Yes, we have filed many First Amendment lawsuits regarding various transit authorities’ refusal to run our ads — and we have won.
TheDC: How did you initially find out you were the target of this jihadist who wanted to behead you? Did authorities inform you before the media reported it?
GELLER: I was first informed by CNN, when they asked me for comment about the plot against me. Authorities had told me in general terms, but not specifically.

Where is the outrage over Obama’s sanction of the Taliban (and every other genocidal jihad group)?
Obama continues to support the Taliban — despite the slaughter, the insider attacks, the destruction of schools, the attacks on girls, etc. He strong-armed President Karzai into partnering with them. He insisted that Karzai share power with the Taliban. He insisted that NATO recognize the Taliban.
Karzai has said that the Obama Administration actually told him that the Taliban, which provided al Qaeda its base of support for September 11, was not an enemy of the U.S.
In 2012 Barack Hussein Obama used the NATO summit to press Afghan leader Hamid Karzai to engage with greater urgency with the Taliban about a political settlement in Afghanistan. Obama stalked and chased these jihadist murderers. Obama demanded that Afghanistan be designated a “major non-NATO ally.” The non-NATO ally declaration allowed for streamlined defense cooperation, more money, expedited purchasing ability of American equipment, and easier export control regulations.
Mullah Omar, long known to be in Afghanistan, is one of the word’s most wanted terrorists. He is the leader of the Taliban and is wanted by the U.S. State Department since October 2001. There’s a ten million dollar reward on his head. He sheltered Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda killers in the years prior to the September 11 attacks. He had a hand in the 911 attacks, and directed the Taliban’s ongoing war against the U.S.-led NATO forces and the government of Afghanistan.

Nine Afghan employees of a Czech charity have been killed in an attack by unknown gunmen in northern Afghanistan, officials say.
The attack on a guesthouse in the Zari district of Balkh province is the latest of several on aid workers in Afghanistan recently.
The charity – People in Need (PIN) – said the victims were “killed in their beds while they were sleeping”.
The attack has not yet been claimed by any group or individual.
PIN condemned the attack, saying in a statement published on its website that it was “unprecedented in its brutality”.
“Those killed include two drivers, two guards and five project staff, which included a woman,” PIN country director Ross Hollister told reporters.
PIN said it had suspended all of its work in Afghanistan and was adopting measures to strengthen the security of its employees in the country.
The charity has been working in Afghanistan since 2002, delivering aid to remote communities in the east and north of the country.
Balkh police chief Abdul Razaq Qaderi told AFP news agency that police had launched a search operation for the gunmen, who are believed to be Taliban militants.
Tuesday’s attack comes just weeks after 14 people were killed in a Taliban attack on a guesthouse popular with international aid workers in the capital, Kabul.

The charity – People in Need (PIN) – said the victims were “killed in their beds while they were sleeping”.
The attack has not yet been claimed by any group or individual.
PIN condemned the attack, saying in a statement published on its website that it was “unprecedented in its brutality”.
“Those killed include two drivers, two guards and five project staff, which included a woman,” PIN country director Ross Hollister told reporters.
PIN said it had suspended all of its work in Afghanistan and was adopting measures to strengthen the security of its employees in the country.
The charity has been working in Afghanistan since 2002, delivering aid to remote communities in the east and north of the country.
Balkh police chief Abdul Razaq Qaderi told AFP news agency that police had launched a search operation for the gunmen, who are believed to be Taliban militants.
Tuesday’s attack comes just weeks after 14 people were killed in a Taliban attack on a guesthouse popular with international aid workers in the capital, Kabul.

Following the cowardly policy change for the New York MTA, the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, or WMATA, has now suspended all issue-oriented ads through the end of year after we submitted our free-speech ad.
Because freedom of speech is under violent assault, my human-rights advocacy group, the American Freedom Defense Initiative, or AFDI, had announced a new ad campaign to defend freedom of speech and stand up to violent intimidation, kicking off in the nation’s capital.
Because the media and the cultural and political elites continue to self-enforce the Shariah without the consent of the American people by refusing to show any depictions of Muhammad or showing what it was in Texas that had jihadists opening fire, we had intended to run an ad featuring the winning cartoon by former Muslim Bosch Fawstin from our Muhammad Art Exhibit and Cartoon Contest in Garland, Texas.
We wanted to allow the American people to see what the cowardly press is censoring in accordance with the blasphemy laws under the Shariah (Islamic law).
We submitted the ad campaign to WMATA to run on buses and train dioramas in the Foggy Bottom, Capitol South, Bethesda, L’Enfant Plaza and Shady Grove stations.
But instead of doing what was necessary to protect the public and defending the freedom of speech, WMATA changed its rules, submitting to the assassin’s veto and sending the signal that violent intimidation works.
Oh, the irony.
This is an end run around the First Amendment. This is clearly a 21st-century tactic being used to impose Islamic law, and we cannot submit. The latest development is the media, the cultural and political elites, continue to self-enforce the Shariah without the consent of the American people. They’re doing so by refusing to show any depictions of Muhammad or showing how innocuous the cartoon was in Texas that jihadists opened fire over, trying to slaughter all of us.
These cowards may claim that they are making people safer, but I submit to you the opposite. They are making it far more dangerous for Americans everywhere. Rewarding terror with submission is defeat. Absolute and complete defeat.
More demands, more violence will certainly follow. The message is that terror works.
This is Shariah in America.
The only upside is the anti-Semitic groups will not be able to run their blood libels.
Drawing Muhammad is not illegal under American law, but only under Islamic law. Violence that arises over the cartoons is solely the responsibility of the Islamic jihadists who perpetrate it. Either America will stand now against attempts to suppress the freedom of speech by violence, or will submit and give the violent the signal that we can be silenced by threats and murder.
WMATA has already done so, but as a society we cannot submit to the assassin’s veto.
It was the jihadis, not I, who made the cartoons a flashpoint. If we surrender on that point and stop drawing Muhammad, we’ve established a precedent of surrendering to violent Shariah enforcement, and once established, we will be made to reinforce it again and again. Shariah is a unique threat to free speech and liberty.
Freedom of speech is the foundation of a free society. Without it, a tyrant can wreak havoc unopposed, while his opponents are silenced.
Putting up with being offended is essential in a pluralistic society in which people differ on basic truths. If a group will not bear being offended without resorting to violence, that group will rule unopposed while everyone else lives in fear and while other groups curtail their activities to appease the violent group. This results in the violent group being able to tyrannize the others.
There is nothing about this cartoon that incites violence. It is within the established American tradition of satire. AFDI Vice President Robert Spencer stated: “Many people on both the left and the right are saying that we should do nothing to provoke Islamic fundamentalism. The immediate answer would seem to be that we should do nothing to provoke violent jihadis, that the prudent thing to do would be to avoid doing things that anger them. But if we did that, they would not they stop coming at us. Last September, an Islamic State spokesman boasted: ‘We will conquer your Rome, break your crosses, and enslave your women, by the permission of Allah, the Exalted. This is His promise to us; He is glorified and He does not fail in His promise. If we do not reach that time, then our children and grandchildren will reach it, and they will sell your sons as slaves at the slave market.’”
Spencer continued, “In light of that, what is the point of asking whether or not we should provoke them? They’re already provoked. A more useful question now is whether it is really productive and helpful to signal to them that we will acquiesce to their threats of violence and change our behavior accordingly, or whether we will instead signal to them that their violent threats are not going to frighten us into submission.”
If America surrenders on this point, the freedom of speech is a relic of history.

A Roman-built ampitheatre has been used for the public execution of captured prisoners of war before an audience for the first time in perhaps 1,500 years, after ISIS forces captured the classical ruins at Palmyra last week.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reports twenty prisoners, thought to be captured Syrian soldiers who had attempted to defend the ancient city from the Islamic State, were put to death before an audience of militants and locals. The observatory reports the ampitheatre dead were just a few of the near-70 executed in the area so far, on suspicion of being enemy forces, or giving them shelter, reports The Independent.
The 2,000 year-old ampitheatre is just one building in a captured city of ancient ruins, which are considered some of the best preserved in the world.
The deliberate destruction caused to other ancient monuments captured by the Islamic State – which have been smashed with pneumatic drills and sledgehammers, have caused widespread concern worldwide over the future of the UNESCO listed world heritage site at Palmyra.
The execution of captive soldiers and criminals became widespread in ampitheatres accross the Roman world after the establishment of the Pax Romana during the reign of emperor Augustus (31 BC – AD 14). Criminals were sometimes required to act in plays where characters were required to actually die on stage, while others were executed in groups en masse by soldiers – just as the Islamic State did this week.
The practise in antiquity continued in one form or another until the early days of the Byzantine empire, when human killings for entertainment was abandoned in favour of executing animals for public amusement.
The Islamic State now holds over half of all Syrian territory.

Guantanamo Bay jihadis swapped for deserter Bowe Bergdahl could soon move freely
And they’re already in contact with jihadis. When Obama released senior Taliban leadership in exchange for a deserter who went AWOL to join the jihad, patriotic Americans were outraged.
Who is surprised that these devout Muslims are returning to wage bloody holy war in the cause of Islam? No one. It was predicted by all of us immediately.

Five senior Taliban leaders released last year from the U.S. prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, in exchange for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl could move freely around the world next week as their one-year travel ban expires.
The five detainees were sent to Qatar where government officials agreed to monitor their activities and prevent them from traveling out of the country under the terms of the May 2014 exchange. Bergdahl, who had been held captive by the Taliban for nearly five years after walking away from his Army post in Afghanistan, was released to the U.S. military.
He recently was charged with desertion.
U.S. officials have discussed with the Qataris the possibility of extending the travel ban after it expires on June 1. But so far, the White House has not publicly announced any new agreement with Qatar, meaning the five could leave the tiny nation on the Arabian Peninsula at the end of the month.
“In Congress, we spent a lot of time debating whether the Qataris were going to adequately keep an eye on them in the course of the 12 months,” said Rep. Adam Schiff of California, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence committee. “My point all along was that I’m more worried about month No. 13 than the first 12.”
Schiff has been privy to the details of the still-secret memorandum of understanding the U.S. reached with Qatar that put the five under a 12-month watch following their release.
“The Qataris did pretty good — I wouldn’t say perfect,” he said about the year-long monitoring. “But the big question is what comes next.”
At least one of the five allegedly contacted militants during the past year while in Qatar. No details have been disclosed about that contact, but the White House confirmed that one was put under enhanced surveillance. Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, said last week: “I know that at least one has had communication with the Taliban.”
One or more of the detainees had some members of the al-Qaida-affiliated Haqqani militant group travel to Qatar to meet with them earlier in the year, according to Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C. That was an indication that the group was reaching out to communicate with the so-called Taliban Five, said Graham, who predicts all five will rejoin the fight.
Four of the five former detainees remain on the United Nations’ blacklist, which freezes their assets and has them under a separate travel ban. But the U.N. itself has acknowledged that its travel ban has been violated. Kashif Parvaiz Sentenced To At Least 73 Years In Wife’s Killing « CBS New York.
MORRISTOWN, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — A judge threw the book Thursday at a Brooklyn man who conspired to kill his wife while the couple was on a walk with one of their young sons in New Jersey.
Kashif Parvaiz, who was convicted in February of scheming with his Massachusetts girlfriend to kill his wife and make it look like a random attack, was sentenced to at least 73 years in prison without parole, CBS2’s Tony Aiello reported.
The August 2011 shooting occurred while Parvaiz and his wife, 27-year-old Nazish Noorani, walked with their son in Boonton, near Noorani’s family home.
Antoinette Stephen pleaded guilty to murder and other offenses and testified against him. The Billerica resident was having an affair with Parvaiz and has admitted firing the fatal shots.
She faces up to 30 years in prison when she’s sentenced next month.
Parvaiz showed no emotion when his brother-in-law, Kaleem Noorani, called him out as a murderous fiend in court.
“You are a failure as a husband, father, son, as a human being, and above all, you are an evil murderer,” he said.
Parvaiz was shot in the leg and claimed they were targeted in an anti-Muslim attack. But his story unraveled, and Stephen eventually admitted she killed Noorani under orders from Parvaiz.
Investigators recovered the murder weapon from his SUV.
The defense team asked the judge to Parvaiz to 30 years, but prosecutor Matthew Troiano strongly disagreed, calling Parvaiz a coward who endangered his own son.
“He put that little boy into direct harm’s way,” Troiano said. “After your wife is shot, you do nothing. You don’t run to her. You run away.”
At the trial, the prosecution presented evidence that Parvaiz considered other ways to kill his wife, including poisoning her.
Gilson called “cold-blooded” and “beyond redemption” in sentencing him.
“He did in fact show us plenty of remorse and regret and emotion,” defense attorney John Bruno said. “Unfortunately, those feelings did not come through to the trial judge.”
Parvaiz is planning to appeal his conviction and sentence.
He was convicted of murder, conspiracy to commit murder, endangering the welfare of a child, child abuse, hindering apprehension by lying to police and weapons charges.

Around 25 Kenyan police have been killed in al Shabaab attacks in the east of the country.

Others died when their vehicle hit a landmine planted by the militants.
According to the group’s military spokesman Sheikh Abdiasis Abu Musab, they also burnt five vehicles.
He said: “We took all their weapons.

A security researcher kicked off a United Airlines flight last month after tweeting about security vulnerabilities in its system had previously taken control of an airplane and caused it to briefly fly sideways, according to an application for a search warrant filed by an FBI agent.
Chris Roberts, a security researcher with One World Labs, told the FBI agent during an interview in February that he had hacked the in-flight entertainment system, or IFE, on an airplane and overwrote code on the plane’s Thrust Management Computer while aboard the flight. He was able to issue a climb command and make the plane briefly change course, the document states.
“He stated that he thereby caused one of the airplane engines to climb resulting in a lateral or sideways movement of the plane during one of these flights,” FBI Special Agent Mark Hurley wrote in his warrant application (.pdf). “He also stated that he used Vortex software after comprising/exploiting or ‘hacking’ the airplane’s networks. He used the software to monitor traffic from the cockpit system.”
Hurley filed the search warrant application last month after Roberts was removed from a United Airlines flight from Chicago to Syracuse, New York, because he published a facetious tweet suggesting he might hack into the plane’s network. Upon landing in Syracuse, two FBI agents and two local police officers escorted him from the plane and interrogated him for several hours. They also seized two laptop computers and several hard drives and USB sticks. Although the agents did not have a warrant when they seized the devices, they told Roberts a warrant was pending.
A media outlet in Canada obtained the application for the warrant today and published it online.
The information outlined in the warrant application reveals a far more serious situation than Roberts has previously disclosed.
Roberts had previously told WIRED that he caused a plane to climb during a simulated test on a virtual environment he and a colleague created, but he insisted then that he had not interfered with the operation of a plane while in flight.
He told WIRED that he did access in-flight networks about 15 times during various flights but had not done anything beyond explore the networks and observe data traffic crossing them. According to the FBI affidavit, however, when he mentioned this to agents last February he told them that he also had briefly commandeered a plane during one of those flights.
He told the FBI that the period in which he accessed the in-flight networks more than a dozen times occurred between 2011 and 2014. The affidavit, however, does not indicate exactly which flight he allegedly caused to turn to fly to the side.
He obtained physical access to the networks through the Seat Electronic Box, or SEB. These are installed two to a row, on each side of the aisle under passenger seats, on certain planes. After removing the cover to the SEB by “wiggling and Squeezing the box,” Roberts told agents he attached a Cat6 ethernet cable, with a modified connector, to the box and to his laptop and then used default IDs and passwords to gain access to the inflight entertainment system. Once on that network, he was able to gain access to other systems on the planes.
Reaction in the security community to the new revelations in the affidavit have been harsh. Although Roberts hasn’t been charged yet with any crime, and there are questions about whether his actions really did cause the plane to list to the side or he simply thought they did, a number of security researchers have expressed shock that he attempted to tamper with a plane during a flight.
“I find it really hard to believe but if that is the case he deserves going to jail,” wrote Jaime Blasco, director of AlienVault Labs in a tweet.
Alex Stamos, chief information security officer of Yahoo, wrote in a tweet, “You cannot promote the (true) idea that security research benefits humanity while defending research that endangered hundreds of innocents.”
Roberts, reached by phone after the FBI document was made public, told WIRED that he had already seen it last month but wasn’t expecting it to go public today.
“My biggest concern is obviously with the multiple conversations that I had with the authorities,” he said. “I’m obviously concerned those were held behind closed doors and apparently they’re no longer behind closed doors.”

Although he wouldn’t respond directly to questions about whether he had hacked that previous flight mentioned in the affidavit, he said the paragraph in the FBI document discussing this is out of context.
“That paragraph that’s in there is one paragraph out of a lot of discussions, so there is context that is obviously missing which obviously I can’t say anything about,” he said. “It would appear from what I’ve seen that the federal guys took one paragraph out of a lot of discussions and a lot of meetings and notes and just chose that one as opposed to plenty of others.”
History of Researching Planes
Roberts began investigating aviation security about six years ago after he and a research colleague got hold of publicly available flight manuals and wiring diagrams for various planes. The documents showed how inflight entertainment systems one some planes were connected to the passenger satellite phone network, which included functions for operating some cabin control systems. These systems were in turn connected to the plane avionics systems. They built a test lab using demo software obtained from infotainment vendors and others in order to explore what they could to the networks.
In 2010, Roberts gave a presentation about hacking planes and cars at the BSides security conference in Las Vegas. Another presentation followed two years later. He also spoke directly to airplane manufacturers about the problems with their systems. “We had conversations with two main airplane builders as well as with two of the top providers of infotainment systems and it never went anywhere,” he told WIRED last month.
Last February, the FBI in Denver, where Roberts is based, requested a meeting. They discussed his research for an hour, and returned a couple weeks later for a discussion that lasted several more hours. They wanted to know what was possible and what exactly he and his colleague had done. Roberts disclosed that he and his colleague had sniffed the data traffic on more than a dozen flights after connecting their laptops to the infotainment networks.
“We researched further than that,” he told WIRED last month. “We were within the fuel balancing system and the thrust control system. We watched the packets and data going across the network to see where it was going.”
Eventually, Roberts and his research partner determined that it would take a convoluted set of hacks to seriously subvert an avionics system, but they believed it could be done. He insisted to WIRED last month, however, that they did not “mess around with that except on simulation systems.” In simulations, for example, Roberts said they were able to turn the engine controls from cruise to climb, “which definitely had the desired effect on the system—the plane sped up and the nose of the airplane went up.”
Today he would not respond to questions about the new allegations from the FBI that he also messed with the systems during a real flight.
The Tweet Heard Round the World
Roberts never heard from the FBI again after that February visit. His recent troubles began after he sent out a Tweet on April 15 while aboard a United Airlines flight from Denver to Chicago. After news broke about a report from the Government Accountability Office revealing that passenger Wi-Fi networks on some Boeing and Airbus planes could allow an attacker to gain access to avionics systems and commandeer a flight, Roberts published a Tweet that said, “Find myself on a 737/800, lets see Box-IFE-ICE-SATCOM,? Shall we start playing with EICAS messages? ‘PASS OXYGEN ON’ Anyone?” He punctuated the tweet with a smiley face.
The tweet was meant as a sarcastic joke; a reference to how he had tried for years to get Boeing and Airbus to heed warnings about security issues with their passenger communications systems. His tweet about the Engine Indicator Crew Alert System, or EICAS, was a reference to research he’d done years ago on vulnerabilities in inflight infotainment networks, vulnerabilities that could allow an attacker to access cabin controls and deploy a plane’s oxygen masks.
In response to his tweet, someone else tweeted to him “…aaaaaand you’re in jail.
”
Roberts responded with, “There IS a distinct possibility that the course of action laid out above would land me in an orange suite [sic] rather quickly”
When an employee with United Airlines’ Cyber Security Intelligence Department became aware of the tweet, he contacted the FBI and told agents that Roberts would be on a second flight going from Chicago to Syracuse. Although the particular plane Roberts was on at the time the agents seized him in New York was not equipped with an inflight entertainment system like the kind he had previously told the FBI he had hacked, the plane he had flown earlier from Denver to Chicago did have the same system.
When an FBI agent later examined that Denver-to-Chicago plane after it landed in another city the same day, he found that the SEBs under the seats where Roberts had been sitting “showed signs of tampering,” according to the affidavit. Roberts had been sitting in seat 3A and the SEB under 2A, the seat in front of him, “was damaged.”
“The outer cover of the box was open approximately 1/2 inch and one of the retaining screws was not seated and was exposed,” FBI Special Agent Hurley wrote in his affidavit.
During the interrogation in Syracuse, Roberts told the agents that he had not compromised the network on the United flight from Denver to Chicago. He advised them, however, that he was carrying thumb drives containing malware to compromise networks—malware that he told them was “nasty.” Also on his laptop were schematics for the wiring systems of a number of airplane models. All of this would be standard, however, for a security researcher who conducts penetration-testing and research for a living.
Nonetheless, based on all of the information that agents had gleaned from their previous interview with Roberts in February as well as the Tweets he’d sent out that day and the apparent signs of tampering on the United flight, the FBI believed that Roberts “had the ability and the willingness to use the equipment then with him to access or attempt to access the IFE and possibly the flight control systems on any aircraft equipped with an IFE systems, and that it would endanger public safety to allow him to leave the Syracuse airport that evening with that equipment.”
When asked by WIRED if he ever connected his laptop to the SEB on his flight from Denver to Chicago, Roberts said, “Nope I did not. That I’m happy to say and I’ll stand from the top of the tallest tower and yell that one.”
He also questions the FBI’s assessment that the boxes showed signs of tampering.
“Those boxes are underneath the seats. How many people shove luggage and all sorts of things under there?,” he said. “I’d be interested if they looked at the boxes under all the other seats and if they looked like they had been tampered. How many of them are broken and cracked or have scuff marks? How many of those do the airlines replace because people shove things under there?”
Regardless of whether the authorities have a case against him, however, there has already been some fallout from the incident. Roberts told WIRED that today investors on the board of directors of One World Labs, a company he helped found, decided to withdraw their investments in the company. As a result, One World Labs had to lay off about a dozen employees today, half of its staff.
Roberts said there were other factors contributing to the board’s decision but his legal situation “was probably the final straw.”
“The board has deemed it a risk. So that was one factor in many that made their decision,” he said. “Their decision was not to fund the organization any further.”

Does this sound like hate speech? “I killed that bitch and you’re next. No one insults my honor as a Muslim and gets away with it.”
That was the chilling threat Ali Awad Mahmoud Irsan made to his daughter Nesreen after murdering her best friend, according to Assistant Harris County District attorney Tammy Thomas.
Nesreen’s friend Gelareh Bagherzadeh was found murdered on the night of January 16th, 2012, in an alley near the Galleria section of Houston.
Why was Gelareh killed?
According the Texas prosecutors, Gelareh – an outspoken Iranian-American critic of Iran and Islam, and a convert to Christianity – had urged her friend Nesreen to break free from father Ali’s domination and marry the man Nesreen had fallen in love with, a Christian named Coty Beavers.
Ali’s wife Schmo and his 21-year-old son Nasim have also been charged in the murder of Gelareh.

The national media has been quiet about the multiple murder allegations against this Muslim family, in a week filled with accusations of “hate speech” aimed at Pamela Geller, after two Muslim terrorists tried to gun her down in Garland, Texas.
There are good reasons for the MSM to take notice of this remarkable case. As Harris Country D.A. Devon Anderson said in press confence announcing the indictments, “This is one of a kind. The victims were unapologetically Christian, and their faith was a factor in their deaths.

The Irsan family has attracted the support of radical leftist heroes, such New Black Panther Party leader Quannel X, who appears in this video defending the Irsans on the charges of fraud they would later plead guilty to.
As we’ve seen in stories from Occupy Wall Street to Ferguson, when the facts of a story don’t fit the preferred MSM narrative, the story is ignored. That’s where citizen journalists and New Media must step forward to fill the gap.

Does this sound like hate speech? “I killed that bitch and you’re next. No one insults my honor as a Muslim and gets away with it.”
That was the chilling threat Ali Awad Mahmoud Irsan made to his daughter Nesreen after murdering her best friend, according to Assistant Harris County District attorney Tammy Thomas.
Nesreen’s friend Gelareh Bagherzadeh was found murdered on the night of January 16th, 2012, in an alley near the Galleria section of Houston.
Why was Gelareh killed?
According the Texas prosecutors, Gelareh – an outspoken Iranian-American critic of Iran and Islam, and a convert to Christianity – had urged her friend Nesreen to break free from father Ali’s domination and marry the man Nesreen had fallen in love with, a Christian named Coty Beavers.
Ali’s wife Schmo and his 21-year-old son Nasim have also been charged in the murder of Gelareh.

That disclaimer might not be entirely accurate, judging by what Fox 13 has been hearing from the military community in Tampa.
“Military personnel, veterans and their families at military bases like MacDill are being advised to be careful what they post online and talk about in public,” says the report.
Retired Col. E.J. Otero is quoted as saying the 440,000 veterans in the Tampa Bay area “have heard through one way or another from the commanders at MacDill to pay attention, keep a low profile, don’t be so pompous about being in the military, because those guy are looking for possible targets.”
The directive falls slightly short of British soldiers being told not to wear their uniforms in public after the broad-daylight jihad slaying of Drummer Lee Rigby on the streets of Woolwich. But between these military directives and the deafening round of tongue-clucking from media elites over the Mohammed Art Exhibit in Garland, Americans are being told to choose their words carefully, while belligerent jihadis and their fanboys run wild on social media.
The winning side in a war does not tell its citizens – much less its soldiers – to carefully avoid antagonizing a violent occupying force that stands ready to punish offense, or even pride.

Why is the media still talking about me? What aren’t we talking about what really incited the jihadists? Why isn’t the media talking about the jihadic doctrine? Sharia? The mosque?
The FBI should be surveilling this mosque, impounding their phone records. Was anyone from the mosque in contact with Muslim groups in Garland? Was there any communication between Phoenix and Garland?
The imam to the jihadis claimed he was “shocked “— that they were gentle fellows. We know he is a liar. There needs to be an investigation of what it is being taught at that mosque.

Yesterday at PJ Media, I reported on conflicting stories offered by the Islamic Community Center of Phoenix (ICCP) regarding former mosque attendees Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi, who were killed this past Sunday in a gunfight outside a Dallas-area center where a “Draw Muhammad” cartoon contest was being held.
I noted the attempts by the mosque president, Usama Shami, to downplay the ties of the two would-be terrorists. This included Shami’s claim to the press that neither was a regular member. In fact, Elton “Ibrahim” Simpson had been featured in a mosque fundraising video posted on ICCP’s YouTube channel in 2012 identifying him as a member:
In fact, Simpson and Soofi were not the only two terrorists spawned from ICCP. Two other previous ICCP mosque attendees — Hassan Abu-Jihaad and Derrick Shareef — are currently in federal prison on terrorism-related charges.
There are remarkable parallels with Simpson and Soofi, including that Abu-Jihaad and Shareef were also roommates.
Further, Usama Shami attempted to downplay their association with ICCP as well. He told the Arizona Republic he never saw the pair – despite court records in both their cases stating they had attended the mosque.
Abu-Jihaad is currently serving a 10-year federal prison sentence for passing classified information to a UK-based al-Qaeda webmaster. According to the Justice Department:
In 2001, Abu-Jihaad was serving as a U.S. Navy signalman aboard the U.S.S. Benfold and had access to the future movements of his group of ships, led by the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Constellation. Six months after the attack on the U.S.S. Cole, and before leaving home port in San Diego for a deployment in the Persian Gulf, Abu-Jihaad transmitted then-classified information about his battle group’s itinerary, listing dates for anticipated port calls in Hawaii and Australia, and for the battle group’s transit through the Strait of Hormuz. Abu-Jihaad’s disclosure discussed the battle group’s perceived vulnerability to terrorist attack.
The leak did not come to light until well after Abu-Jihaad left the Navy, when an investigation into Azzam Publications led to the search of a London apartment associated with one of the website’s organizers, and authorities found a floppy disk containing the U.S. Navy information. Subsequent investigation uncovered several email exchanges from late 2000 to late 2001 between members of Azzam Publications and Abu-Jihaad, including discussions regarding videos Abu-Jihaad ordered from Azzam Publications that promoted violent jihad and extolled the virtues of martyrdom; a donation of money Abu-Jihaad made to Azzam Publications; and whether it was “safe” to send materials to Abu-Jihaad at his military address onboard the U.S.S. Benfold.
The FBI established a direct tie between Abu-Jihaad and Simpson according to court documents in the latter’s 2010 trial, as Simpson was first questioned by the FBI in 2006 when authorities believed he might be part of a terror cell:
In 2006, agents opened a criminal investigation of him based on his ties with an individual “whom the FBI believed was attempting to set up a terrorist cell in Arizona,” according to court documents.
Agents say Simpson knew Hassan Abu-Jihaad, an enlistee in the U.S. Navy later convicted of leaking classified information about upcoming movements of his battle group to an alleged terror cell in London. Simpson told agents he knew Abu-Jihaad, who was arrested in Phoenix in 2007, but did not tell them anything else about him.
Undoubtedly, what launched that 2006 investigation was the activity of Abu-Jihaad’s former roommate, Derrick Shareef.
Shareef was arrested in 2006 for his role in a plot to set off hand grenades at a Rockford, Illinois shopping mall during the holiday season. He later pled guilty on a charge of attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction, and was sentenced to 35 years in prison.
During his trial, the FBI provided video tapes of Shareef threatening Americans:
“You are the enemies of Islam, for the sake of Allah we are coming for you,” Shareef says in a tape that looks like it could have been shot somewhere in the Middle East. In fact, the camera was 90 miles from Chicago in a Rockford home where the 22-year-old and a friend each made several videos declaring their desire for destruction.
“We will target you in your homes. We will target you in your businesses. We will target you in your synagogues and your churches. We do not fear you Kafirs. I swear by Allah I am ready to give my life right now for the cause,” the tape says.
The mosque also came under scrutiny in March 2008, when a large group of men from ICCP began firing semi-automatic weapons in an open area frequented by runners and bikers near a residential area, as the Arizona Republic reported at the time:
Shortly before noon on a sunny Sunday in March, two Toyota SUVs rolled to a stop along a dirt road in north Phoenix.
About 20 young Muslim males climbed out, armed with assault rifles, a shotgun, a sniper rifle and handguns. The location near Happy Valley Road and 51st Avenue is a desert recreation site for off-road motorists, hikers and bikers, dozens of whom were enjoying the spring-like weather.
For more than an hour, the shooters blasted away at a granite rock and empty cans in front of a hill.
Officials estimate the fusillade totaled 500 to 1,000 rounds. Some shooters left before police arrived and detained 10 adults and five boys, including an 11-year-old.
The young men and boys told officers the weapons belonged to their parents. They said they were not aware it was illegal to use firearms in the residential area.
Six were arrested and charged with felony weapons violations in Maricopa County Superior Court. Among them were the 20- and 21-year-old sons of two imams at Phoenix-area mosques, as well as the 20-year-old son of Abdallah.
Needless to say, the usual suspects claimed the men were being targeted because of their Islamic faith, rather than their firing rifles in a prohibited area that endangered others.
ICCP officials would most likely claim that the case of the “Draw Muhammad” terrorists coming out of their mosque, as had a traitor betraying classified military secrets to al-Qaeda, and a man planning a terror attack on a shopping mall during the holidays, is a matter of bad luck.
But one of the main tools used by terror recruiters is the Islamic grievance narrative that Muslims are under attack from the West.
In fact, ICCP regularly hosts speakers pushing that Islamic grievance narrative, such as the February 2013 appearance of Lauren Booth:

Interestingly, the man interviewing Booth in that video, my friend Tom Trento of the United West, was broadcasting live inside the “Draw Muhammad” event on Sunday when it came under attack by Simpson and Soofi, and he continued giving live video updates as the situation unfolded.
So while ICCP officials may call the four terrorists that have come from their mosque a tragic coincidence, others may call it a pattern. Or as my law enforcement colleagues would describe it, an “investigative clue.”

In fact, the camera was 90 miles from Chicago in a Rockford home where the 22-year-old and a friend each made several videos declaring their desire for destruction.

The mosque also came under scrutiny in March 2008, when a large group of men from ICCP began firing semi-automatic weapons in an open area frequented by runners and bikers near a residential area, as the Arizona Republic reported at the time:
Shortly before noon on a sunny Sunday in March, two Toyota SUVs rolled to a stop along a dirt road in north Phoenix.
About 20 young Muslim males climbed out, armed with assault rifles, a shotgun, a sniper rifle and handguns. The location near Happy Valley Road and 51st Avenue is a desert recreation site for off-road motorists, hikers and bikers, dozens of whom were enjoying the spring-like weather.
For more than an hour, the shooters blasted away at a granite rock and empty cans in front of a hill.
Officials estimate the fusillade totaled 500 to 1,000 rounds. Some shooters left before police arrived and detained 10 adults and five boys, including an 11-year-old.
The young men and boys told officers the weapons belonged to their parents. They said they were not aware it was illegal to use firearms in the residential area.
Six were arrested and charged with felony weapons violations in Maricopa County Superior Court. Among them were the 20- and 21-year-old sons of two imams at Phoenix-area mosques, as well as the 20-year-old son of Abdallah.
Needless to say, the usual suspects claimed the men were being targeted because of their Islamic faith, rather than their firing rifles in a prohibited area that endangered others.
ICCP officials would most likely claim that the case of the “Draw Muhammad” terrorists coming out of their mosque, as had a traitor betraying classified military secrets to al-Qaeda, and a man planning a terror attack on a shopping mall during the holidays, is a matter of bad luck.
But one of the main tools used by terror recruiters is the Islamic grievance narrative that Muslims are under attack from the West.
In fact, ICCP regularly hosts speakers pushing that Islamic grievance narrative, such as the February 2013 appearance of Lauren Booth:

Interestingly, the man interviewing Booth in that video, my friend Tom Trento of the United West, was broadcasting live inside the “Draw Muhammad” event on Sunday when it came under attack by Simpson and Soofi, and he continued giving live video updates as the situation unfolded.
So while ICCP officials may call the four terrorists that have come from their mosque a tragic coincidence, others may call it a pattern. Or as my law enforcement colleagues would describe it, an “investigative clue.”

Ayatollah Alam al-Hoda claimed during Friday prayer services in Iran that in negotiations over Tehran’s contested nuclear program, Kerry told the country’s foreign minister that he “wished the U.S. had a leader like Iran’s supreme leader,” according to a Persian-language report on the remarks published by the Asriran news site.
“In the negotiations Kerry told [Iranian Foreign Minister Javad] Zarif that he [Kerry] wished U.S. had a leader like Iran’s supreme leader,” according to Alam al-Hoda, who is a senior member of the Iran’s powerful Assembly of Experts.
A senior administration official told the Washington Free Beacon that such a contention is patently absurd.
The remarks are the latest in a string of comments made by Iranian leaders purporting to reveal private details of the talks.
Iranian newspapers have carried multiple reports in recent months suggesting that Iranian Foreign Minister and chief negotiator Javad Zarif was ordered to stop screaming at Kerry behind closed doors.
In his Friday remarks, al-Hoda went on to say that Obama is set on striking a deal with Iran by June.
“Both Republicans and Democrats want these negotiations with Iran, but they fight each other for partisan interests,” he was quoted as saying. “Obama wants the negotiation to succeed so his party can win the next election and Republicans want to stop him.”
Alam al-Hoda also celebrated Iran’s expansion in the region and controversial activities in war-torn countries such as Syria and Yemen.
“Today, the resistance crescent has gone beyond Syria and Lebanon and reached to Yemen,” he said. “Today the resistance front is in control of Strait of Hormuz and Bab-el-Mandeb.”
The “U.S. and Israel have not been so weak anytime before,” he continues. “All these events are being managed by the hidden Imam,” a revered religious figure in Shia Islam.
Saeed Ghasseminejad, an Iranian dissident and fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD), said U.S. overtures to Iran at the negotiating table have failed to win it any respect from the Islamic Republic’s leaders.
“President Obama thinks that by making more concessions he can gain the trust and respect of Iranian leaders,” Ghasseminejad said. “However, Iranian leaders neither trust him nor respect him.
“Seeing unprecedented weakness in the U.S. president, Iranian leaders do not fear the United States anymore. Partnership, trust, and alliance between the radical Islamist regime of Tehran and United States cannot and should not exist.”
Meanwhile, Zarif said over the weekend that fighting between the Obama administration and Congress over a potential final deal could not stop America from implementing any agreement the White House signs.
“As we have stated since the beginning, we consider the U.S. administration responsible for implementing the agreement and internal problems and conflicts in the U.S. are not related to us and to the implementation of the agreement, and based on the international laws, the countries’ internal problems don’t exempt them from implementing their undertakings and this is the main framework that we attach importance to,” Zarif said, according to the Fars News Agency.
On Monday, Zarif urged the United States to woo Iran.
“Maintaining an uncertain and unstable situation is not acceptable to Iran and the Americans should take practical and confidence-building measures to reach a comprehensive nuclear agreement,” Zarif was quoted as telling reporters.

“The way to do it is the Prevent programme working with communities. You got to do the things that once this ideology takes hold you try to disrupt it. For me that is the answer. We want to see how the Prevent programme is community focused.”

There is absolutely shared purpose and shared desire to deal with a small minority in our country who get tempted to violent extremism. On the so-called Trojan Horse scandal that failed to find virtually any evidence of extremism or radicalisation, the Labour leader said the reality is that the “root of this problem lies in proper accountability in our schools.”
“We are going to have high standards locally. That will make sure that every school has proper oversight. When there is no proper oversight things can go wrong in schools. The best way to stop that happening is proper oversight in our schools.
“You need proper accountability. The answer to this is not to run thousands of schools from the centre of the Government but to have local accountability in schools.”
With regard to foreign policy, Miliband confirmed that Labour would have supported the recognition of a Palestinian State in last year’s UN vote. His Party’s support was why Parliament backed the principle, he said.
“We would do everything we can to work for a two state solution which is a viable Palestinian state alongside security for Israel,” he added but also pointed out that he personally was “not in favour of sanctions” against Israel.
To find a solution, he argued engagement was needed with both sides but the “reality is that we had a British Government for the last five years who had disengaged from this issue, had washed its hands off this issue.”
“I’m not going to wash my hands off this issue. I will speak out about the settlements. I spoke out about Israel’s incursion into Gaza. Some people didn’t like that I spoke out. I did speak out and I will continue to speak out and engaging with the issue. We have the American Administration who also wants to engage and wants to push forward two-state solution. We are going to partner with them to do that.”
He was dismissive that Labour’s manifesto commitment to arrest and act against those returning from fighting in Syria would be hypocritical by targeting only Muslims as it is happening now. “When I am Prime Minister there will be one law for everybody. Full treatment for everybody,” he insisted.
Likewise Miliband was adamant that Muslims should not face racial and religious discrimination when it comes to employment or suffer the most because of the austerity cuts “It is part of the law that that is prohibited. We are going to have racial equality across the Government. We will enforce it.”
“We will tackle deprivation. We will build homes, get rid of bedroom tax, raise minimum wages, build better jobs for people, have a fairer social security system,” he also insisted….

State Department Won’t Rule Out $50 Billion ‘Signing Bonus’ For Iran
Is there anything Obama won’t give to the Iranians? Why not just vacate the White House and hand over the keys to them, while he is at it? Obama’s traitorous Iran policy could be something we are paying for for years to come, and not just with taxpayer dollars.

The State Department on Monday would not rule out giving Iran up to $50 billion as a so-called “signing bonus” for agreeing to a nuclear deal later this year, according to comments made to journalists following reports that the Obama administration had formulated a plan to release tens of billions of frozen Iranian funds.
Experts have said this multi-billion dollar “signing bonus” option, which was first reported by the Wall Street Journal, could be the largest cash infusion to a terror-backing regime in recent memory.
A cash release of $30 to $50 billion upon reaching a final nuclear agreement would come in addition to the more than $11 billion in unfrozen assets that Iran will already have received under an interim nuclear accord reached in 2013.
When asked to address these reports on Monday, State Department Spokeswoman Marie Harf attempted to dodge the issue and then accused reporters of getting “spun up” on the issue.
Asked whether Iran could receive $50 billion “on day one after signing” or verbally agreeing to a nuclear deal, Harf told reporters that she would “look into it.”
When pressed to provide an answer about the Journal’s initial report, Harf declined “to go line by line in the story.”
Harf said sanctions relief to Iran will continue through June 30.
“They’re getting access to money throughout this period as well,” she said. “Throughout the extension they’re now getting some sanctions relief, which will continue through June 30.”
Jonathan Schanzer, a top terrorism-funding expert at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD), said such a cash release to Iran would enable the regime to continue backing various terror groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah.
“This could be the largest cash infusion to a state sponsor of terrorism in modern history,” Schanzer said.
Reports of this “signing bonus” come following concessions to Iran—which range from sanctions relief to continued nuclear work at military sites—during the most recent round of negotiations in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Lawmakers and experts critical of the Obama administration’s diplomacy with Iran have warned that a slew of recent concessions in the talks would enable Iran to continue many aspects of its nuclear program.
Iran is pushing to prohibit international inspectors from accessing possible military sites until after the United States provides substantial relief from economic sanctions.
Nuclear experts such as David Albright, founder of the Institute for Science and International Security (ISIS), have warned that premature sanctions relief could gut the tough inspections and oversight regime on Iran promised by the Obama administration.
Under the framework agreement, Iran also would be permitted to store around 1,000 advanced nuclear centrifuges at an underground and fortified one-time military site known as Fordow, according to the Associated Press.
By keeping Fordow active, Iran would potentially be able to produce weapons-grade material in just a few weeks, according to Albright.
The New York Times reported that Iran is refusing to give up its stockpile of enriched uranium, the key component in a nuclear bomb. Under previous conditions, Iran would have had to ship these materials out of the country.
These stockpiles would also give Iran the ability to produce highly enriched weapons-grade uranium in less than six months, according to experts.

The State Department on Monday would not rule out giving Iran up to $50 billion as a so-called “signing bonus” for agreeing to a nuclear deal later this year, according to comments made to journalists following reports that the Obama administration had formulated a plan to release tens of billions of frozen Iranian funds.
Experts have said this multi-billion dollar “signing bonus” option, which was first reported by the Wall Street Journal, could be the largest cash infusion to a terror-backing regime in recent memory.
A cash release of $30 to $50 billion upon reaching a final nuclear agreement would come in addition to the more than $11 billion in unfrozen assets that Iran will already have received under an interim nuclear accord reached in 2013.
When asked to address these reports on Monday, State Department Spokeswoman Marie Harf attempted to dodge the issue and then accused reporters of getting “spun up” on the issue.
Asked whether Iran could receive $50 billion “on day one after signing” or verbally agreeing to a nuclear deal, Harf told reporters that she would “look into it.”
When pressed to provide an answer about the Journal’s initial report, Harf declined “to go line by line in the story.”
Harf said sanctions relief to Iran will continue through June 30.
“They’re getting access to money throughout this period as well,” she said. “Throughout the extension they’re now getting some sanctions relief, which will continue through June 30.”
Jonathan Schanzer, a top terrorism-funding expert at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD), said such a cash release to Iran would enable the regime to continue backing various terror groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah.
“This could be the largest cash infusion to a state sponsor of terrorism in modern history,” Schanzer said.
Reports of this “signing bonus” come following concessions to Iran—which range from sanctions relief to continued nuclear work at military sites—during the most recent round of negotiations in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Lawmakers and experts critical of the Obama administration’s diplomacy with Iran have warned that a slew of recent concessions in the talks would enable Iran to continue many aspects of its nuclear program.
Iran is pushing to prohibit international inspectors from accessing possible military sites until after the United States provides substantial relief from economic sanctions.
Nuclear experts such as David Albright, founder of the Institute for Science and International Security (ISIS), have warned that premature sanctions relief could gut the tough inspections and oversight regime on Iran promised by the Obama administration.
Under the framework agreement, Iran also would be permitted to store around 1,000 advanced nuclear centrifuges at an underground and fortified one-time military site known as Fordow, according to the Associated Press.
By keeping Fordow active, Iran would potentially be able to produce weapons-grade material in just a few weeks, according to Albright.
The New York Times reported that Iran is refusing to give up its stockpile of enriched uranium, the key component in a nuclear bomb. Under previous conditions, Iran would have had to ship these materials out of the country.
These stockpiles would also give Iran the ability to produce highly enriched weapons-grade uranium in less than six months, according to experts.

In the wake of the terrorist attack on the offices of the French magazine Charlie Hebdo, Muslims in Niger went on a rampage burning down 69 churches and 11 homes in just a few hours, all because they were Christian.
CBN News has gotten their hands on never seen before footage that shows dozens of Muslims burning down one church while beating a Christian member of that same church outside. The pastor says that it is still very difficult for him to watch.
Another pastor told CBN News that they believe this attack on the Christian churches was systematic and organized because, otherwise, it doesn’t make sense that 69 churches and 11 Christian homes would all be burned down in a matter of hours. He is quite sure someone planned this attack.
Since the attack, no arrests have been made.
CBN News interviewed a Muslim leader in the area who said that Islam was a religion of peace and that Muslims were not involved in burning of the churches, suggesting that if the men who did the burnings were arrested that Christians would be among them.
But a local pastor who has lived there for 35 years says that’s ridiculous, explaining that they were shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’. But even more than that he says he knows a Muslim when he sees one.

NIAMEY, Niger– It took only a few hours, but it was enough time for hundreds of radical Muslims in Niger, West Africa, to destroy dozens of churches and several Christian homes. Ten people lost their lives and hundreds were injured when Muslim mobs went on the deadly rampage in early January.
Now, three months later, Christians living there are moving forward, determined to still preach the Gospel despite the dangers.
CBN News has obtained exclusive, never-seen-before video of dozens of these angry Muslims attacking, then burning Pastor Musa Issa’s church.
“They took pews, Bibles, chairs and sound equipment then set them on fire,” Issa, pastor of Bethel Horizon Church in Niamey the capital city, said. “They did this while chanting, ‘Allahu Akbar!’ I felt so sad. I started to cry.”
Wrestling Against Principalities
The cell phone video also shows the crowd beating a member of Issa’s church.
“I feel horrible when I watch the video. I ask myself ‘Why’? Why did they do this to us? What did we do to deserve this?'” Issa said.
It happened January 17, just 10 days after two Muslim terrorists stormed the offices of French magazine Charlie Hebdo, executing 12 people for publishing satirical images of the Islam’s Prophet Mohammed.
About 3,600 miles away in Niger, Muslims, angered by the cartoons, attacked the country’s Christians in revenge.
“We spent years building the church,” Issa told CBN News while standing in the ruins of his church. “Within minutes it was all gone!”
And it wasn’t just Pastor Issa’s church. Mobs also destroyed Boureima Kimso’s church.
“Sixty-nine churches and 11 homes were destroyed. That’s a total of 80 Christian buildings within a few hours,” Kimso said.
Kimso, head of the Alliance of the Evangelical Churches in Niger, says the viciousness of the attacks shocked the Christian community.
In Zinder, Niger’s second largest city, attackers burned all but one church to the ground. And in the capital city Niamey, 45 churches were destroyed, including Pastor Kimso’s.
“Absolutely, it was premeditated,” Kimso said. “It was organized. It was shocking because systematically in a few hours churches were targeted and houses attacked, so it means that someone organized and executed this plan.”
Three months later, the government of Niger has still not arrested anyone in connection with the attacks.
“I tell our brothers and sisters that we don’t wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities,” said Kimso. “We have to encourage ourselves because persecution is part of the life of the Church. There is no church that existed without persecution.”
In addition to destroying several churches, the rioters also targeted Christian schools.
CBN News visited one such school on the outskirts of Niger’s capital city. The school was home to some 240 students, the majority of whom were Muslim.
As the Muslim mob ransacked each classroom, they left behind this message on each blackboard: “There is no God but God and the Prophet Mohammed is his messenger.”
Religion of Peace’
One of the teachers, David Bye, now helps oversee rebuilding efforts.
“I think this message on the blackboard they are trying to tell us (Christians) that we really don’t belong here. This is a Muslim area and they want to keep it pure for them. They don’t want any Christians here,” Bye said.
It’s an accusation Muslim leaders flatly deny.
“Islam is a religion of tolerance and peace,” Boubacar Seydou, of the Islamic Association of Niger, said. “In Islam, we are not familiar with such acts of violence!”
Seydou is also key leader at Niger’s largest mosque. He allowed CBN News to attend and document Friday prayers.
In his first television interview since the attacks, Seydou denied that Muslims were involved in the attacks.
“Muslims did not take part in these attacks. Sure, there were many Muslims protesting the cartoons, but no one pushed them to attack churches. I’m sure if we arrested some of those involved in the church burnings you’d discover that in fact Christians were among those taking part in the violence!” Seydou said.
Pastor Zakaria Jadi, whose church and home were among those destroyed, says it is ludicrous to claim Christians were involved.
“The mob kept chanting over and over in Arabic ‘God is great!’ God is great’ as they robbed and burned my home. I’ve lived with Muslims all my life. I know a Muslim when he stands in front of me!” Jadi said.
The Nigerien government is in negotiations with members of the Christian community to try and figure out how on earth they are going to rebuild all these churches. In the meantime, with so many churches still destroyed, many Christians are gathering in the shadows of their burned out churches.
Forgiveness
Pastor Jadi’s wife Ruth, holding her burned Bible, has forgiven the men who committed this atrocity.
“My prayer is that they would come to know Jesus and that the Lord would touch them even in a dream. I want God to do to them what He did to Paul the Apostle when he persecuted Christians. God touched him on his way to Damascus. I want those men to experience the same touch from God!”
That is Pastor Issa’s prayer, too. Today he spends time developing closer friendships with several of his Muslim neighbors who actually fought back as the mob destroyed the church and his home.
“When the first and second wave of rioters came, some of my Muslim neighbors stood in front of the church. But as more rioters attacked with deadlier weapons, it become too dangerous – so I told them to let them in,” Issa said.
Pastor Jadi says the threats have not subsided, but he’s alright with that. He believes God is preparing Christians in Niger for great times of revival.
“The Lord is training us; He’s building us. There cannot be increase without hardships. If you want to go to the next level you have to go through hardship,” Jadi said.

Iranian Leader Khamenei: America Is A ‘Cheater And A Liar'; The Lausanne Declaration Is Nothing; Saudi Arabia Will Be Damaged By Its ‘Massacre’ In Yemen
On April 9, 2015, Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei spoke about the April 2, 2015 Lausanne declaration, clarifying that it was merely a statement for the media, with nothing having been agreed regarding the details of the negotiations – details that the parties will only begin to discuss later on. As such, he said, there was no need for a response from him regarding the declaration.
Khamenei noted that he had no confidence in Iran’s American negotiating partner, saying that it is “a cheater and a liar,” and pointing out that the Americans have been misrepresenting the details of the negotiations in public for domestic political purposes, and also in order to deal with the opponents of the negotiations. He called President Obama’s speech following the Lausanne declaration “smiling deception” and warned against believing in his promises.
At the same time, however, he noted that the nuclear negotiations constituted a test for the U.S., and that if the U.S. passed the test, the negotiations could be expanded to other areas.
Next in his speech, Khamenei publicly set out the negotiating framework for the Iranian negotiating team, the main points of which are: an immediate lifting of all sanctions the moment an agreement is reached; no intrusive oversight of Iran’s nuclear and military facilities; the continuation of Iran’s nuclear research and development program; and no inclusion of any topics not related to the nuclear program, such as missile capability or anything impacting Iran’s support for its proxies in the region.
He then went on to discuss the Saudi “massacre” in Yemen, and warned Saudi Arabia about the results of its attacks there.
The following are his statements:
“What Has Happened So Far Is No Guarantee Of An Agreement, Of Negotiations That Will Lead To An Agreement, Of The Details Of [Such] An Agreement, Or Even That These Talks Will Conclude In An Agreement”
“Some ask why the Leader has not yet taken a position on the recent nuclear negotiations. The reason for this is that there is nothing to take a position on, because the regime [i.e. President Rohani] and nuclear officials [i.e. the negotiating team] say that nothing has been settled and that no obligatory issue has been concluded by both sides.
“Such a situation does not require [me] to take a position. If I were to be asked, ‘Do you approve or disapprove of the recent nuclear talks?’ I would say that I neither approve nor disapprove, since nothing has happened yet.

I completely accept an agreement that ensures the national interests of the nation and the state.
“As I have said, no agreement is better than a bad agreement, because there is honor in rejecting an agreement that seeks to trample Iran’s national interests and destroy the honor of the nation – as opposed to [accepting] an agreement that humiliates the nation.
“Sometimes it is said that the details of these talks are overseen by the Leader, but this is not accurate. I am not indifferent to the talks, but thus far I have not interfered in their details, and neither will I do so in the future. I have already provided the general issues, the overall lines, the frameworks, and the red lines, mostly to President [Rohani] and on a few occasions to Foreign Minister [Zarif], but it is they who have the details. I have confidence in the nuclear negotiators and have never doubted them, and, Allah willing, this will be the case in the future as well. But I have serious concerns about the nuclear talks.”
“The Other Side Cheats, Lies, Breaks Promises”; “Two Hours After The Talks… The White House Published A Declaration… Most Of Which Diverged From Reality”
“The reason [for my concerns] is that the other side is a cheater and a liar; it breaks promises and contrary to the straight path. An example of such conduct by the opposite side [the U.S.] came during the recent talks [in Lausanne], when two hours after the talks ended, the White House published a declaration several pages long [i.e. the Fact Sheet] about the negotiations, most of which contradicted reality. Such a declaration cannot be written in two hours – this means that they had engaged in composing this slanderous, erroneous statement that contradicted the content of the negotiations at the very same time as they were negotiating with us.
“Another example [of their deception] is that after every round of talks, they deliver a public speech, and later tell [us] in private that this speech was aimed at maintaining [their] dignity at home, and to deal with the opponents [of the negotiations] – while these matters have nothing to do with us.
“As the well-known parable says: ‘The hunchback sees only his companion’s hump.’[1] They [the Americans] say that even if the Iranian leader opposed the negotiations, he is not telling the truth in order to [maintain] his dignity at home. But they do not understand the reality in Iran. The Leader’s statements to his people are based on mutual trust, and just as the people believe me, I completely believe the people, and I [also] believe that the hands of God are always with the people. The people’s presence in the cold of February 11 [Revolution Day] and in the heat of Ramadan and Jerusalem Day are all signs of the hand of God, and therefore I fully trust the people and my words to them are in the framework of the sentiment, integrity, and wisdom of the people.
“I am concerned about the conduct of the other side [the U.S.] as the negotiations continue. We must not go overboard or be hasty in this context, but rather wait and see what happens.”

“Criminal countries like America, who have already used a nuclear bomb, or France, which conducted dangerous nuclear testing, are accusing us of attempting to manufacture a nuclear bomb, while based on a religious fatwa[2] and a basis of logic, the Islamic regime in Iran has never and will never aspire to a nuclear bomb, and considers it a headache.”

The negotiating team might see the need to accept certain restrictions; I have no problem with this, but technical advancement should undoubtedly proceed at full force.

“The Saudi Government Is Currently Carrying Out Crimes In Yemen That Are Identical To Those Committed By The Zionists In Gaza… And Will Definitely Not Emerge Victorious”
“By attacking Yemen, the Saudis have made a mistake and created an evil and contemptible bid’a [i.e. forbidden innovation in Islam] in the region. Iranian Leader Khamenei: America Is A ‘Cheater And A Liar'; The Lausanne Declaration Is Nothing; Saudi Arabia Will Be Damaged By Its ‘Massacre’ In Yemen
On April 9, 2015, Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei spoke about the April 2, 2015 Lausanne declaration, clarifying that it was merely a statement for the media, with nothing having been agreed regarding the details of the negotiations – details that the parties will only begin to discuss later on. As such, he said, there was no need for a response from him regarding the declaration.
Khamenei noted that he had no confidence in Iran’s American negotiating partner, saying that it is “a cheater and a liar,” and pointing out that the Americans have been misrepresenting the details of the negotiations in public for domestic political purposes, and also in order to deal with the opponents of the negotiations. He called President Obama’s speech following the Lausanne declaration “smiling deception” and warned against believing in his promises.
At the same time, however, he noted that the nuclear negotiations constituted a test for the U.S., and that if the U.S. passed the test, the negotiations could be expanded to other areas.
Next in his speech, Khamenei publicly set out the negotiating framework for the Iranian negotiating team, the main points of which are: an immediate lifting of all sanctions the moment an agreement is reached; no intrusive oversight of Iran’s nuclear and military facilities; the continuation of Iran’s nuclear research and development program; and no inclusion of any topics not related to the nuclear program, such as missile capability or anything impacting Iran’s support for its proxies in the region.
He then went on to discuss the Saudi “massacre” in Yemen, and warned Saudi Arabia about the results of its attacks there.

ISIS is operating a camp just a few miles from El Paso, Texas, according to Judicial Watch sources that include a Mexican Army field grade officer and a Mexican Federal Police Inspector.
The exact location where the terrorist group has established its base is around eight miles from the U.S. border in an area known as “Anapra” situated just west of Ciudad Juárez in the Mexican state of Chihuahua. Another ISIS cell to the west of Ciudad Juárez, in Puerto Palomas, targets the New Mexico towns of Columbus and Deming for easy access to the United States, the same knowledgeable sources confirm.
During the course of a joint operation last week, Mexican Army and federal law enforcement officials discovered documents in Arabic and Urdu, as well as “plans” of Fort Bliss – the sprawling military installation that houses the US Army’s 1st Armored Division. Muslim prayer rugs were recovered with the documents during the operation.
Law enforcement and intelligence sources report the area around Anapra is dominated by the Vicente Carrillo Fuentes Cartel (“Juárez Cartel”), La Línea (the enforcement arm of the cartel) and the Barrio Azteca (a gang originally formed in the jails of El Paso). Cartel control of the Anapra area make it an extremely dangerous and hostile operating environment for Mexican Army and Federal Police operations.
According to these same sources, “coyotes” engaged in human smuggling – and working for Juárez Cartel – help move ISIS terrorists through the desert and across the border between Santa Teresa and Sunland Park, New Mexico. To the east of El Paso and Ciudad Juárez, cartel-backed “coyotes” are also smuggling ISIS terrorists through the porous border between Acala and Fort Hancock, Texas. These specific areas were targeted for exploitation by ISIS because of their understaffed municipal and county police forces, and the relative safe-havens the areas provide for the unchecked large-scale drug smuggling that was already ongoing.
Mexican intelligence sources report that ISIS intends to exploit the railways and airport facilities in the vicinity of Santa Teresa, NM (a US port-of-entry). The sources also say that ISIS has “spotters” located in the East Potrillo Mountains of New Mexico (largely managed by the Bureau of Land Management) to assist with terrorist border crossing operations. ISIS is conducting reconnaissance of regional universities; the White Sands Missile Range; government facilities in Alamogordo, NM; Ft. Bliss; and the electrical power facilities near Anapra and Chaparral, NM.

The Yarmouk “refugee camp” was established in 1948, so by 2015, it isn’t a refugee camp at all. It’s a neighborhood, as this article calls it, or even a city unto itself. But it is still called a “refugee camp” because the UN and the Muslim countries want to keep alive the idea of “Palestinian” “refugees” so that they can use them as supposed evidence of supposed Israeli wrongdoing. Never before in history has refugee status been passed down to children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. But that’s the depth of the Muslim states’ hatred for Israel: none of them would give the “Palestinians” citizenship, even though there is no ethnic difference between them and the neighboring Arabs, except Jordan.
Also, where is the world’s outcry against this violence against the “Palestinians”? Or does the world “human rights community” only wring its hands over the “Palestinians” when it wants to bash Israel?

A 13-year-old girl has been shot dead by Isis snipers as she tried to flee a besieged refugee camp in Syria, Palestinian militants have claimed.
The child, named as Zaynab Daghastani, was reportedly killed on Tuesday outside her home in Yarmouk, which was overrun by Isis at the end of last month.
Militants entered an apartment building and apprehended the girl, Al Masdar News reported, and she was later shot dead by a sniper outside her home. The website cited sources from Palestinian militant group Fatah Al-Intifada, which is fighting Isis alongside the Palestine Liberation Army and other armed factions, and the account could not be confirmed.
The International Business Times reported that Zaynab had been trying to escape the camp with her family, making for safety in the nearby district of Yelda.
Charity workers from the Jafra Foundation estimated that 2,500 families have fled so far to avoid street fighting and bombardment.
Militants with the so-called Islamic State have been backed by rivals Jabhat al-Nusra in efforts to control Yarmouk, which is home to around 18,000 Palestinians.
Their takeover prompted a series of air strikes by forces loyal to the Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad, and United Nations officials have described the humanitarian situation as “beyond inhumane”.
Isis has been accused of beheading captives and murdering and endangering the lives of civilians in Yarmouk.
Pierre Krahenbuhl, head of UN Palestinian refugee agency UNRWA, said called on all sides to respect the “beleaguered” civilians trapped inside.
“They have suffered untold indignities and I shall continue to work today to assist those who wish to temporarily leave in safety,” he added. “At the same time, we need to look at ways to provide humanitarian assistance to the civilians inside Yarmouk.”
Control of the camp has given Isis its first foothold in the Syrian capital of Damascus, adding another level of misery to residents who have already survived a two-year government siege, starvation and disease.
Mr Krahenbuhl said talks on Sunday with the Syrian government “offer some grounds for optimism” but stressed that much remains to be done in his meetings today with senior officials to secure humanitarian access for the camp.
Yarmouk was the main camp established in Syria for Palestinians who fled the 1948 war sparked by the creation of Israel.
Before the Syrian civil war, it was a sprawling, built-up neighbourhood that was home to more than 150,000 Palestinians but that number is falling as residents flee or are killed.
President Assad’s forces put it under a crippling blockade after Palestinian rebels based there sided with rebels trying to topple the government during the 2011 Arab Spring.
