Charlotte Pence Bond, author and daughter of Vice President Mike Pence and Second Lady Karen Pence, delivered a powerful message on Tuesday about the 2020 presidential election and the importance of following God amid political and social unrest.

Bond shared a touching story about her father’s path to the vice-presidency, recalling a moment years ago that defined her parents’ decision to dive further into public life. She recalled a family vacation where the sights before her parents deeply inspired them.

“We went to this dude ranch and we were on a hike,” Bond said, noting that her dad was deciding at the time whether he should make another run for Congress after two previously unsuccessful bids.

At the time, Pence had a successful career in broadcast media and law. He could have continued on that path, but found himself pondering a deeper pursuit into politics — and that’s when the Pences saw something truly transformative.

“My mom and my dad are standing on this cliff … and they look out over the cliff and they see these two hawks and they’re flying,” Bond recalled. “But they’re not flapping their wings, they’re just kind of gliding together, and the wind is just kind of carrying them along.”

The scene truly spoke to Karen Pence, who told her husband something that the couple has since held dear.

“My mom says to my dad, ‘If we’re going to run again, we’re going to run as those two hawks — no flapping,” she said. “We’re going to let God carry us up to a position or not. We’re going to glide … we’re not going to try to get there on our own.”
Bond said her mom felt the family should let God “carry them” if they planned to embark on another political run. Pence went on to be elected to Congress before later becoming the governor of Indiana in 2012, and then vice-president of the United States just four years later.

The entire journey taught Bond and her family to focus on God and his path for their lives. Looking back, she said it is often powerful to see the “ways that God is faithful and he does have a plan.” Now, she’s hoping to inspire others with that same message.

“I want to encourage you: if you’re nervous today — on election day — just remember that God has a plan for us,” she said. “Regardless of the results of elections, we respect the person who God has placed in authority.”

Bond urged people to pray for people in positions of power, and also called people to seek God in their own lives.

“Be ready for whatever God is calling you to do,” she said.

Terry Crews Stands Firm as CNN’s Don Lemon Lectures Him Over ‘Militant’ Black Lives Matter Agenda

In the since-removed section of the website, Black Lives Matter said its mission is to “disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure,” to “dismantle the patriarchal practice that requires mothers to work ‘double shifts’ so that they can mother in private even as they participate in public justice work,” as well as “foster a queer-affirming network” by “freeing ourselves from the tight grip of heteronormative thinking, or rather, the belief that all in the world are heterosexual.”


Now the website states: “Sorry, but the page you were trying to view does not exist.”

The official organization has been very open about its political ideologies and intentions. One of the group’s co-founders, in fact, has acknowledged she and one of her BLM cohorts are “trained Marxists.” And New York City BLM leader Hawk Newsome has refused to condemn violence and looting and told Fox News’ Martha MacCallum he wants to “burn down the system” if the U.S. “doesn’t give us what we want.”

“If this country doesn’t give us what we want, then we will burn down the system and replace it,” he said. “[I] could be speaking figuratively; I could be speaking literally. It’s a matter of interpretation.”

Newsome added he wants “black sovereignty,” which is synonymous with supremacy, “by any means necessary.”

Sports Commentator Explains Why He Won’t Support Black Lives Matter

During the summer, at the height of the racial protests and violent riots, Texas-based megachurch Pastor Ed Young warned “woke” Christians against jumping on board with the radical Black Lives Matter agenda.

Young explained to churchgoers he “wholeheartedly agrees[s]” with the lowercase phrase “black lives matter,” arguing the church “should champion it.” The progressive business, however, is different.

“I can’t support or agree with the core beliefs of the organization Black Lives Matter,” said the preacher. “It’s tied to abortion, homosexuality, transgenderism, and the breakup of the nuclear family — just to name a few. So I’m not going to hashtag that phrase, because whenever someone hashtags something, they need to hash it out through Scripture, and they need to understand what the people who have started the hashtag are actually living out and what solutions are they recommending.”

“We want to be liked; we want to seem ‘woke,’” added Young. “But in reality, we’re afraid to stand for truth or engage in healthy conversation. We need to be wary of jumping on cultural hype trains.”

White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany has called out CNN anchor Don Lemon for saying “the quiet part out loud” Monday night, when he said Democrats will “have to blow up the entire system” if they win back the presidency and the U.S. Senate.
The news host, who is unabashedly progressive and very critical of President Donald Trump, made the comments during an evening segment with fellow anchor Chris Cuomo.

“We’re going to have to blow up the entire system,” said Lemon. In response, Cuomo, seeking to calm down his coworker, said, “I don’t know about that. You’re just going to have to vote.”


Lemon, holding his ground, added, “You’re going to have to get rid of the Electoral College, because the minority in this country get to decide who our judges are and who our president is. Is that fair?”

“You need a constitutional amendment to do that,” Cuomo told Lemon.

“And if Joe Biden wins, Democrats can stack the courts and they can do that amendment and get it passed,” charged Lemon.

“Well, you need two-thirds vote in the Congress and three-quarters of the state legislatures,” educated Cuomo.

“They may be able to do that,” a belligerent Lemon continued.

In 2016, following President Donald Trump’s Election Day victory, Democrats called into question the validity of the Electoral College, given then-Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton won the popular vote. However, as Faithwire reported, the issue is more nuanced than many on the left have acknowledged.

Attorney Tara Ross, who supports the Electoral College, told Faithwire the system “is indispensable to our republic,” calling it a “unique blend of democracy and federalism (state-by-state voting).”

“The Electoral College … encourages presidential candidates to build national coalitions of voters,” she explained. “Candidates can’t focus too exclusively on certain demographics, regional majorities, or special interest groups. Polling large margins in isolated portions of the country will doom a candidacy to failure.”

Without the Electoral College, a candidate like Clinton could become president by simply winning a disproportionate and unrepresentative number of votes in larger states, like California and New York, while neglecting dozens of smaller states around the country.

Victor, a 49-year-old urban planner who says she does support Black Lives Matter, adds that the group went about their activism entirely in the wrong way, insisting that it's "never OK to coerce people's participation."

"That is just bullying," she adds.

"When [protesters] crowded around my table and started demanding that I raise my fist, it was their insistence that I participate in something that I did not understand that led me to withhold my hand," Victor explains. "In retrospect, I would have done the same thing even if it was crystal clear to me who they were and what they stood for. If you want my support, ask it of me freely. That's what we do in a democracy."

Sometimes 'those thing turn on a dime'
At the time, Victor initially admitted, "I felt I was under attack."

JERUSALEM -- An excavation in Jerusalem Walls National Park that yielded a rare stamp and seal impression dating back to the Persian era is stated to provide evidence for the restoration of Jerusalem during the times of Ezra and Nehemiah, as chronicled in the Scriptures. "The finding of the stamp and seal impression in the City of David indicates that despite the city’s dire situation after the destruction, efforts were made to restore the administrative authorities to normal, and its residents continued to use the structures that were destroyed partly,” stated Prof. Yuval Gadot of the Department of Archaeology and Ancient Near Eastern Cultures at Tel Aviv University, and Dr. Yiftah Shalev, of the Israel Antiquities Authority.

The Antiquities Authority recently announced the discovery, which was uncovered in the Givati parking lot area of the National Park next to rubble from a structure razed during the Babylonian destruction of Jerusalem.

(Article18) — At least 10 of the more than a dozen Christian converts arrested two weeks ago in raids on their homes and house-churches have been charged with “acting against national security by promoting Zionist Christianity.”
 
Article18 reported earlier this month that at least 13 Christians were arrested in a coordinated operation on the evening of June 30 and the morning of July 1 in Tehran, its sister city Karaj, and Malayer, 400km southwest of Tehran.
 
The number of confirmed arrests has now risen to 17.
 
Of those arrested, eight have been released on bail, four remain detained, one has been released without charge, and another four have been released pending a decision on their case.
