Gospel from India
God demands

We are all interested in truth, and Christ is the truth.

When you give yourself to Him-
He opens the doors of your mind in the most glorious way.

You see a new dimension of life that you have been previously blind to.

When you open yourself to Christ—to truth—your life lights up.
Your whole inner life glows, and there comes a peace and joy and security that only He can give.

So God demands a decision, a commitment, a surrender, a conversion.

When you come to Christ, He gives you a freedom that is real:
“Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” John 8:36.

"Dear Lord, thank You for paying the ultimate price on the cross for my freedom. It’s my heart’s desire to walk in the liberty You have paid for so dearly. I surrender all to You and I ask You to bring about the fullness of life that You desire for me. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

Surrender!

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” John 8:36.

Living a pure life means surrendering to Jesus Christ.

But some people don’t want to surrender because they say they want to be free.

What if a train said, “I don’t want to run on these tracks, I want to be free”?
Then off through the meadow it would go.

What if a kite said, “I want to be free. I don’t want to be tied to a string”?
The string breaks and down it goes.

What if a tree said, “I don’t want to be planted in the earth. I want to be free”?
And it is jerked up from the earth and dies.

Everything that is truly free functions best-
when it functions as God made it.
God made you to know Him and to love Him and to glorify HIM

"Gospel from India"
 The four words

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.  And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.” Genesis 1: 1-3.

Look at the stars.

Try to count them.
Impossible – right?

Scientists believe the universe is made up of 27 million parts, EACH part having at least one galaxy.
The number of stars?
That would be over 300 sextillions – 300 with 23 zeros.

Can you wrap you brain around the vastness and immensity of the universe?
Probably not.

In the same way, understanding the greatness of God is equally challenging.
Yet, to begin to grasp the full picture of God, the true picture of God, we must look at this one God in three persons.

The God who was at the beginning of it all.

In the beginning, God.

These four words introduce us to God.
No four words could be more important than these.

God who has no beginning.
God who always is, always was, and always will be.
This concept is understandably difficult.

After all, our world revolves around beginnings and endings.

Genesis, the first book of the Bible, is all about beginnings – things being created, things starting.
The beginning of Israel, the Jewish people, the new beginning after the flood, and the beginning of mankind.
Yet, before all of this, was God.

Then God created.
God is described “in the beginning” as one God – three persons.

We can see all three persons too.
The earth was formless and void, chaotic.

Imagine an artist in the early stages of a painting.
The artist sees the final painting, but to the untrained eye it’s just a mess.

We read that the Spirit of God was in the midst of this “chaos,” the original artist.
Like the wind, we can’t see the Holy Spirit, but we can feel it.

Then there’s Jesus.
“And God said, “Let there be light.”
Look at the words:

Then.
God.
Said.
The Word of God, Jesus, creates.
Jesus is called both the Word of God and the Light of the world. John 1:1-3;8:12.

Then there’s the Holy Spirit.
The Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

Jesus always is, was and will be.
The Holy Spirit always is, was and will be.
God the Father always is, was and will be.

God always is.
Everything else begins.

The greatness of God.
It boggles the mind.

1 Victory party

"My Manna"

"You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows." Psalm 23:5.

Soldiers don't usually sit down for a picnic in the middle of a raging battlefield.
They either fight to the death, or they turn and run!

But David painted a very different kind of battlefield scene-
- a picture of total security.

In the midst of the worst onslaughts his enemies could dish out-
David found peace in God and a reason to celebrate.

Others were trying to keep the crown from him-
- but they couldn't stop God from making him king.

Going through life's hardest battles can sometimes teach us the most about God.

When our enemies are attacking us and we want to panic-
God gives us peace.

He lays out a banquet to celebrate the victory that's already ours.
He reminds us who we are in Christ:
A royal treasure claimed by the King as his own.

When everything is going well-
- we might take God's presence for granted,
- but when life is hard, we can often see his presence more clearly.

That's because he gives us peace and cause for celebration in places where we'd expect only despair.

If you're experiencing some of the difficulties that life throws at you-
- look to see what God is doing.

He hasn't gone anywhere.
He's preparing a table for your victory party-
- pouring out his blessings on you.

You don't have to leave the battlefield to have your picnic-
- because God is with you,
- and your enemies can't intimidate him.

Self-emptied life!

You may be feeling incredibly lonely.

Here is a practical pointer for overcoming your loneliness:
Quit dwelling on it.
Reach out and try to help someone who is lonely.

Luke 6:38 promises that when we give, it shall be given to us.

There is a locked-in likeness to what we give.
It is the law of the harvest.

If you want friendship-, you must show yourself friendly.Proverbs 18:24.
Why don’t you keep a stack of cards and a pen handy to write a little note of encouragement to a shut-in?

Get a prayer list and intercede for others.

Travel around the world by means of prayer.

There is no life so empty as a self-centered life-
- and there is no life so centered as a self-emptied life!

As you pour out yourself to others-
- the Holy Spirit will continually pour Himself into

"Gospel from India"
God’s purpose!

Those who know and follow God’s direction--will experience spiritual peace, joy, and contentment.
To discover our life’s purpose-
- the first step which makes all the other steps possible—is to receive Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour.

In other words-
- we must be saved.

Our part in salvation is to acknowledge we are sinners—to admit to God that we’ve lived in rebellion against Him because we wanted our own way. Rom. 3:23.

Professing our belief that Jesus’ death on the cross fully paid our sin debt, we ask God’s forgiveness.

Recognizing Jesus as personal Saviour and Lord-
- we commit our life to Him. Rom. 10:9; Gal. 2:20; 1 John 1:9.

Since He is now in charge-- our orders and direction will come from Him.
Having become part of God’s family-
- we have His Spirit to help us discover and carry out our Father’s plan.

God’s purpose for His children includes sanctification, stewardship, and service.

Sanctification describes continual growth in holiness.
The Holy Spirit, with our cooperation, will transform our character to be more like the Lord’s.

Stewardship means managing—according to God’s priorities-
- the time, talents, and treasure He has given us.
Service for the kingdom is to mark our life, as it marked the life of Jesus. Matt. 20:28.
We serve our Father by obediently ministering to others.

As we each seek the Lord’s specific plan for us-
- we can be confident that it will include character transformation, investment of our resources for His kingdom, and ministry to others.

"Gospel from India"
Powerful witness!

For her unwavering commitment to aiding those most in need-
Mother Teresa stands out as one of the greatest humanitarians of the 20th century.

She combined profound empathy and a fervent commitment to her cause with incredible organizational and managerial skills that allowed her to develop a vast and effective international organization of missionaries to help impoverished citizens all across the globe.

She also had a keen sense of humour.

When reminded that God does not give us any burdens we cannot handle-
Mother Teresa replied, "I know, but sometimes I just wish He didn't think so highly of me!"

While it's true that tough times can challenge us and shape character-
- most of us would prefer that God would find another teaching method!

While hitting rock bottom is not fun, crises do offer opportunities for growth and service.

For instance, sometimes God allows us to go through hard times so that we can learn to truly trust Him.

When we do choose to trust God even when there is no concrete evidence of His presence-
- we demonstrate real faith.

And that faith is not only demonstrated to God-
- it is a powerful witness to everyone who sees what you have gone through.

Look at the example shown by Joseph.

After thirteen years of miserable setbacks-
- the first thing he did was to stand before Pharaoh and share the testimony of his faith in God.

What a magnificent witness to the glory of God!

So, when facing tough times-
- recognize the opportunity you have to build trust in God,
- deepen your faith,
- and become a powerful witness for your Heavenly Father.

The gift!

Several distinct blessings have been procured for us by the power of the blood of Jesus-
- and they are all included in this one word, redemption.

Among these blessings, reconciliation takes the first place.

“God hath set forth Jesus to be a reconciliation through faith in His blood.”

In all the work of Christ, and above all in reconciliation-
God’s object is the removal and destruction of sin.

God has offered a perfect acquittal from all our sin and guilt.
And because reconciliation has been made for sin, we can now be reconciled to Him.

“God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them.” 2 Corinthians 5:19.

Following this word of reconciliation is the invitation-
“Be ye reconciled to God.” 2 Corinthians 5:20.

Whoever receives reconciliation for sin is reconciled to God.
He knows that all his sins are forgiven.

"Lord Jesus, thank You for being our salvation.
We praise You for providing a way for us to be reconciled to our Heavenly Father.
Please help us share Your gift of salvation with a lost and hopeless world.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen."

A divine mystery!

“According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.” Ephesians 1:4.
Did you know that God chose you before He laid the foundations of the earth?
You talk about “old time religion”!

Well, friend, you can’t get much older than that!

Before there were any trees, mountains, birds, and bees-
God chose you to be one of His children.

Charles Haddon Spurgeon said:
“God certainly must have chosen me before I came into this world because He never would have chosen me afterward.”

That means you and I cannot take credit for our salvation.

First John 4:19 says, “We love Him, because He first loved us.”

Somebody asked a little boy, “Have you found the Lord?”
And the little boy said, “I didn’t know He was lost.”

How miraculous that God has chosen us.
When left alone to ourselves, we would never have chosen Him.

Though His love for us is a divine mystery-
- it can bring great assurance to a believer’s heart to know “He first loved us.”

Allow God’s Word to teach you further what it means to be chosen.
Read Matthew 20:16, 24:22; Luke 10:20; John 6:37-39; Romans 8:28-39; 1 Corinthians 1:26-31; Ephesians 1:9-11; 2 Timothy

Of this I am sure!

"For You light my lamp; the Lord my God illumines my darkness." Psalm 18:28.

It's not surprising that adults are afraid of the dark.

We are constantly bombarded with stories, movies and even the news, about awful things that happen at night.

But why are children afraid of the dark?
Maybe it's an innate fear of being left alone, feeling separated, vivid imaginations, or maybe, just shadows in the dark.

The fact is, children fear the dark for many of the same reasons adults do.
It seems many fears intensify in the night, especially sleepless nights.

But I have good news:
God is with us wherever we go.

Listen to a portion of Psalm 139:
"Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the Heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast."
Like a loving Father, God offers us a hand to hold in life's darkest hours.
He'll carry all of us through the darkness, and lead us where we need to go.
Of this I am sure!

"Gospel from India"
The only answer

“Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord.” Psalm 31:24.
The world wants to know what we should do about the problems of the world.

What about the overcrowded prisons?
Poverty?
Rape?
Murder?

Do you know why we never solve the problems?
Because we don’t see the real problem.

The sociologist says it is just a cultural lag.
The psychologist calls it an emotional disturbance.
The philosopher calls it irrational behaviour.
The communist calls it the human class struggle.
The humanist calls it human weakness.
The criminologist calls it anti-human conduct.

The Bible calls it sin.

The only answer for sin is Jesus-
- Who expresses the love of God,
- expounds the mind of God,
- and executes the will of God.

The problems of our world are beyond solution—apart from the Lord Jesus Christ.
God moves in answer to our prayers.

Your effectual, fervent prayer “availeth much.” James 5:16

Re-Defining God

"If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also..."
John 14:7.
A weekend edition of the Wall Street Journal ran an interesting article titled, "Re-Defining God"-
- about how so many in our modern world are re-defining who God is.

One seminary professor said, "People seek out new gods the way they seek out new products in the marketplace."

How would you describe God?

1. The first two of the Ten Commandments say there is but one God and no others.
More than anything else, we need to get this right.
God gets angry about worshiping false, man-made gods.

2. The best way to define God is through a man--Jesus.
He is God's ultimate revelation of Himself.

How do you understand Jesus?

The most authoritative word is the Bible.
Scripture gives us the complete and full picture of Jesus.
Otherwise, it's just somebody's opinion.

So how do you define God? Get to know the Jesus of Scripture.
I promise, you will not be disappointed.

"Gospel from India"
But there’s a catch!

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16.

Have you ever thought about how we use the word ‘love’ to describe so many things?

We ‘love’ ice cream and cake; we ‘love’ watching movies; we ‘love’ a football team, when what we really mean is ‘like”.

But when God’s Word tells us that God so loved the world-
He is talking about the greatest love,
God’s love for each of us.
He loves everyone.

And this love is not a feeling.
It’s not an emotion.

This love is an act of God’s will.

It is a commitment He has to love all of us-
- whether we do what He wants us to do, or if we rebel against Him.

He may become deeply disappointed in us-
- but He always loves us.

So, in John 3:16 when it says, “For God so loves the world,” the world is everyone.

That includes all Communists, Hindus, Buddhists, and Capitalists.
It includes Muslims, Jews, Baptists, Catholics, Methodists, Presbyterians and professed atheists.
It includes bad guys, good guys, hell raisers, do-gooders.

NOBODY is left out.

God loves everyone and He expressed His love by giving us something.
God’s love for us is so great that He sent His most precious gift, His Son, Jesus, to the earth in human form.
And He expressed it again when He sent Jesus to the cross to sacrifice His life to pay the penalty for our sins.

But there’s a catch!

God expects a response from all of us.

The verse goes on:
“Whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.”

Again, ‘whoever’ encompasses everybody in the world, regardless of your background-
– whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.

So, to believe in Jesus means to put our total trust in Him as our only hope of escaping spiritual death and receiving eternal life.

I was 21 years old when I finally came to understand what it meant to believe in Jesus.
I had been raised in a Christian home, I went to church, and in my mind, I was a Christian.

But it wasn’t until I was at a Christian meeting and the speaker began to talk about how much God loved me, then what Christ had done for me on the cross, that I really understood I needed to believe in Jesus in order to be sure that I had eternal life.

That was the turning point in my life.

My hope is that you’ll not only believe in your mind who Jesus is and what He did for you-
- but you’ll believe in your heart, soul and mind, and put your trust in Christ.

Then, you don’t have to worry about hell.
You don’t have to worry about permanent separation from God-
- because God has given you eternal life—an eternal relationship with Him that can never be lost when you put your trust in Christ.

That is what I believe because Scripture teaches it.

How about you?
What do you believe about Jesus?

Environmental manifesto
Gospel from India
"Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground." Genesis 1:28.

Many people have been turned off to environmental issues by extremists.

Environmentalists often seem to have more concern for whales, snail darters, and owls than they do for people.
Some of them try to make us feel guilty for being alive and using air.

Christians actually have special insight into this controversy.

We know that the present world is temporary, yet the Bible, Genesis 1, tells us that-
- one of man   ⒠  s major responsibilities is to care for the environment.

You could say Genesis 1 is the ultimate    ⒠  ⒠  ⒠  ⒠  environmental manifesto-
- because this was Adam   ⒠  s job description,
- and it is also a general model for us today.

Amidst this environmental concern is also tremendous confusion, and it lies with the wrong focus.
Some environmentalists worship nature more than the God of all nature.

Some worship creation more than the Creator.
It is as ludicrous as having a greater awe for the painting, Mona Lisa, than for her creator, Leonardo de Vinci.

When nature is supreme-
- we get confused and misguided.

When nature is respected and managed out of obedience to God, the Creator-
- then we   ⒠  re able to care for the environment in a way that makes sense    ⒠   in a way that   ⒠  s best for all.

"Gospel from India"

How old are you?

Before you answer, you might want to consider this:
The trillions of cells in our bodies are constantly reproducing and replacing themselves.
The skin on our bodies is replaced every five days.
The skeletal system is new every three months.
Ninety-eight percent of the total number of atoms in our body are replaced at the end of a seven-year period.

So, in one sense, thanks to the amazing regenerative powers of our body, none of us are more than seven years old.

But the Bible offers us something even more amazing.

It's a renewal that goes far deeper than skin and bones.
It occurs only once but lasts for all of eternity.
And we read about it in 2 Corinthians 5:17-19.

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5:17-19.

Where does this renewal take place?
As a "new creation" what is our relationship with God?
What is our new responsibility as a new creation?

When we receive Christ as our Saviour, the Holy Spirit baptizes (puts, places, immerses) us into the Body of Christ.1 Corinthians 12:13.
That's what it means to be "in Christ."

It is in Christ that we find safety from God's wrath that is poured out on sin and those who engage in it. John 3:36.

As a new creation we are to put off the old habits we formed when we were apart from God and put on new habits that are consistent with our new life. Ephesians 4:20-24.

Have you become a "new creation"?

If you have become a new creation-
- what habits do you need to "put off" so that your life is more consistent with your status as a new creation?

 "Gospel from India"
Let us return!

“Come, let us return to the Lord; for he has torn us, that he may heal us; he has struck us down, and he will bind us up” Hosea 6:1.

God invites you to come back to Him.

No matter how far away you’ve wandered or how long you’ve been gone, Hosea 6:1 opens the door:
“Come, let us return to the Lord.”

That’s the invitation to revival.

Come!

This is a tender-hearted pleading.
You don’t have to stay where you are.

You don’t have to live the life you’re living.
You don’t have to experience the sorrow and heartache you’re feeling.

You can return to the Lord.
It’s not too late.

Return!
God is waiting now with open arms.

Return to Him!
Receive the Joy God Gives

Doubt can become faith.
Discouragement can become joy.
Despair can become purpose and fulfillment.
Defeat can become victory.

How can that happen in your life?
When you return.

The Hebrew term translated return is used more than one thousand times in the Old Testament—more frequently than almost any other term describing what God desires for us.

Hosea uses the term twenty-three times.
In fact, the entire book of Hosea assures us that good things await those who return to the Lord.

Returning is a picture of repentance and a decision made at a point in time..

Imagine a smoke alarm suddenly going off.

You have an instant choice to make:
Remain where you are or move away from the danger.
You may be slow to respond or simply ignore the alarm, hoping it will reset..

Perhaps that’s the danger.

In the same way spiritually, when you hear the alarm, how do you respond?
Have you grown deaf to God’s call? When God has spoken, have you simply ignored Him?

Do you hear His voice today, beckoning, “Come, return”?

 He became sin for us!

?There is a day of judgment coming when every man and woman and boy and girl will have to stand before a righteous God to give an account for one thing—what did you do with Jesus Christ?

The Bible says the wages of sin is death Romans 6:23.
I believe the Bible, that death is coming upon every person in the world who is without God.

God loves us in spite of our sins-
- in spite of the dreadful wickedness of our heart.

God says, “I love you,” and the Bible teaches that God is a God of mercy, that He’s a God of love, that He’s a God of forgiveness.

He sent His Son to the cross.
And the Bible teaches that God took all of your sins and all of my sins and laid them on Christ.

??He became sin for us and His blood was shed.
That blood was symbolic of His broken heart and His life that was given for you.

I want you to receive Him by an act of faith.
I want you to trust Him.
I want you to believe in Him.
I want you to make Him your own.

Make Him your Lord, your Master.
Receive Him as your own.

This is the Good News..

Do you love God?

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the greatest commandment.” Matthew 22: 36-38.
We are far too easily wrapped up in OUR-selves, OUR-lives, and OUR plans-- yet God loves us anyway.
He loves us no matter where we are or what we’ve done.
God loves us-- when we have no interest in Him, - when we’re running from Him, - and even when we’re drowning in our sins.
He loves us so much that He sent His son to pay the penalty for OUR sins. What an amazing love!
Christ was the substitutionary sacrifice for our sins.
In non-church speak that means that Jesus is the bridge. Jesus bridges the gap between sinful man and a Holy God.
To do this cost Jesus His life on the cross as He took on all our sin and shame. This is the magnitude of God’s love for you and for me.
And when we begin to understand this incredible love-- we will want to love God back.
So how do we love God? It starts by first encountering God’s love for us.
Do you know God’s amazing, sacrificial and overwhelming love for you? Don’t wait any longer, because nothing is more important than loving God.
It’s the heart of Christianity. 1 John 4:19 says, “We love, because He first loved us.”
Then we want to spend time with God in worship and prayer and Bible study. Then we want to obey God’s commands to show Him we trust Him.
I hope that you will decide to love God today. And when you do that, you will want to love others

All roads do!

One thing in life is a pretty sure bet.
If you haven’t been in a really difficult situation, or you’re not currently in one-- then there is probably one waiting for you right around the corner!
When crisis hits, your first urge may be to scream-“What did I do to deserve this punishment?” “Why me?”
While it’s true that some storms of life are caused by our own sin-- many occur even when we’re not doing anything wrong.
In fact, we are often right in the middle of God’s will and doing exactly what He asked us to do!
That was the case for the disciples when Jesus told them to get in a boat and row across the Sea of Galilee.
Even though they were obeying Jesus, they still found themselves in a storm that was so violent they didn’t know if they would even survive.
But here is the important message from that event – they did survive. With the help of Jesus, they did survive.
Accept the fact that life is not a perfectly smooth ride. The road will sometimes have bumps and potholes and sharp turns.
All roads do.
Look upon these tragedies and difficulties as a part of life.
Turn to Jesus for guidance. Trust in His Word and His promises.
He will be beside you as you get through the tragedies, as well as the triumphs, in your life.

It’s depressing!

"...I came that they might have life, and have it abundantly."John 10:10.
“Two teenagers fatally shot last night.”
“A police officer shot and killed.”
“A meth house discovered in an upper middle class neighborhood.”
“Hundreds massacred by militant terrorist group.”
We’re constantly bombarded with bad news on newscast after newscast.. It’s depressing.
The harsh reality of the daily news challenges those who believe that man is inherently good and the world is getting better.
The Bible tells us the truth.
Human beings are not innately good and kind, and society is not progressing toward universal peace and harmony. Why, just the opposite is true!
Man’s sin is a constant reality and if we don’t want to believe it, we can just ignore the news and refuse to lock our doors at night.
There is good news, however.
God is in control of history and anyone who acknowledges his need for God in Christ holds the key to inner peace and security.
For in Christ, whether we live or die, we can’t lose.
Christ gives us the key to eternal life and living this life victoriously.

The Light!

"I have come as light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me may not remain in darkness." John 12:46.
Martin Luther King, Jr. said many profound things during his life, and this one is no different.
He said, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that.”
Have you ever been in a situation where the darkness was so powerful that light could not overcome it?
I remember touring a cave when all the lights were turned off. I couldn’t see a thing.
I couldn’t even see my hand in front of my face!
And then the guide simply lit a match – one match – and we could see all over the cave-- because darkness cannot overcome the light.
Jesus says He is the Light of the world-- the embodiment of how to know God and how to live life.
You may feel your life is engulfed in darkness. You may feel bewildered at not having discovered the answer to life.
Invite Christ into your life and the light will be turned on-- no matter how much darkness you’ve experienced.
Life will begin to make sense and you’ll be filled with hope and understanding.
Here’s more good news.
When we do this-Jesus says we can be a light to others by pointing people who are in the dark to the light…the Light of Christ.

Clean heart

The Bible gives us this glorious promise:

God will give you a new heart.

If you will come to Christ and surrender your heart to Him-
God says, “I’ll take out the old heart. I’ll put in a new one.”

An old heart will not do.
He must give you a completely new heart.

God doesn’t just patch you up when you come to Him.
The Bible says, “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” Psalm 51:10.

And in Ezekiel 36:26, the Bible says:
“A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.”

Would you like to have a new heart?

Change the whole direction of your living?
Change your whole moral life?
Change your affections?

Gospel from Asia

I love Him!
"Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God." 1 John 4:7.

It’s that time of year when stores are filled with beautiful roses, red hearts, chocolates, balloons, greeting cards and all kinds of things that say, “You’re beautiful and I love you.”

All women want to feel beautiful.
All wives want to feel their husbands see them as beautiful, and it is true that men are drawn to beauty.

This is why women focus so much on fashion and good looks.

Obviously, making the most of natural beauty is important-
- but don’t miss the true secret to a radiant, lasting beauty that comes from knowing Jesus.

It’s unmistakable, the beauty on the face of an older woman who loves her Lord.

But that’s not all.

Love isn’t just for romance.

Even if you don’t have a sweetheart this Valentine’s Day-
- perhaps you can think of someone who could benefit from an expression of love from you.

Lastly, but most importantly-
I want to tell the Saviour of my soul, the Maker of my heart and the Creator of love itself thatI love Him!

You don’t want to miss that!

"Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, 'Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.'" Revelation 21:1-4.

Years ago, the late Adrian Rogers, a well-known and respected preacher, was sharing about an older pastor – his predecessor from a previous generation- who was known in his day as the prince of preachers.

He was a man of such oratorical skills and anointing of God that people were mesmerized hearing him preach.

Adrian said the older preacher was in the hospital, in and out of a coma, but on his last day, while lying there in the bed, he suddenly looked up and his eyes grew wide and he said to his daughter:
“It is greater than I imagined. I never did it justice.”

And then he closed his eyes and died at peace.

He was a great man of God, incredibly gifted preacher, beautifully eloquent, and when he was finally at that point of stepping over to the other side of life and catching that glimpse of heaven, all he could say was, “It’s greater than I ever imagined. My words never did it justice..”

When we are making that long journey of faith with the Lord Jesus Christ and we go through some tough days over arid lands, dry times, difficult times, hard times; may this not let us give up.

No matter how tough life gets, when we get to our ultimate destination of heaven and see the Lord, we’re all going to exclaim, “I never knew how great He could be.”

Surely, there are no words that can adequately describe how incredible it will be to come face to face with the King of kings and the Lord of lords!

Are you sure that you will arrive at that destination to experience that glorious day?

I assure you, when you come to know Christ and ultimately wind up in heaven with Him-
- it is going to be so much greater than anything we could ever imagine.

You don’t want to miss that!

Regeneration

“A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.” Ezekiel 36:26.

Would you like to have a new heart?

Change the whole direction of your living.
Change your whole moral life.
Change your affections.

Surrender your life to Christ and have Him give you a new heart.

It’s called regeneration.

It means that-
God will give you a new life—a new direction to your life, new thoughts, new energies, new ambitions, new directions.

The Bible says that three things are necessary.

First-
- you must be willing to turn from your sins.
You must be willing to renounce sin.

Second-
- you must commit and surrender your life to Christ.
By that, I mean you give in to Christ as your only Saviour.

You’re not saved by joining a church.
You’re not saved by living a good moral life.

You’re saved only because of the grace of God in Christ.
And you must commit yourself to Christ as your only Saviour.

Are you willing to do that?

Then the third thing-
- You must be willing to follow Him, serve Him, confess Him and acknowledge Him.
You must be willing to go back to the factory and the home, and stand up for Christ.

Don't you love it?

"...It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick." Matthew 9:12.

One of the things I love most about Jesus is His love for all people-
- even those people many religious folks don't want to be around.

One of those people was His disciple Matthew.
He later became one of Jesus' biographers.

Matthew was one of the last guys you'd want on your team if you were trying to impress good religious folks.

But after Jesus reached out to him and asked him to join His team-
Matthew was so excited he threw a party for all his wild and notorious friends, just to meet Jesus.
And they all had a great time.

But the religious crowd was appalled.
They thought, "If Jesus is supposed to be a man of God, why would He run with such a rough crowd?"

Jesus responded, "It's not the healthy who need a doctor. I came for those who know they're sinners and need help - not for those who think they're righteous."

Don't you love it?

You may be one of those folks like Matthew.
And I hope you'll remember that Jesus loves you.

All you have to do is...

Let me tell you something:
Your baptism, your church membership, your good works are as filthy rags in the sight of God unless you are clothed in the righteousness of Jesus Christ.Isaiah 64:6.
The Bible says, “For by grace are ye saved through faith … it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9.
You don’t have to work for it. You don’t have to pay for it. You don’t have to join anything.
All you have to do is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.
If we confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead, we shall be saved.Romans 10:9
