Re: Focus:Should Christians be proactive what happens in Governments
I believe we should be proactive then more might be done for the unfortunates of this world. People do make a difference even if it takes time. If we are unhappy with things, it is no good moaning about it, we should voice our grievences and try to make a difference.

I agree whole heartedly with you Elaine, that we should read and know what is happening in our world. So we can help our world in anyway we can to keep our amazing planet healthy, which we're not doing a very good job of, and because we are told to know the time and signs, that we are not caught unawares. That is so very important, Chist showed us with many examples in his parables, like the Groom and the bride maids. All Matt.24 tells us not necessarly about politics but does talk of watching the signs of the times. Daniel chps. 7, 8, 10, 11,&12, all speak of the raise and fall of world powers. All the prophets spoke of the problems Israel would soon find themselves in when Bablyon invaded. Isaiah chp. 24 goes on to describe the end of the world as we know it But they went farther into the future to tell of the kingdoms raising up at the end times and what lays ahead for the world leading up to the return of Jesus. 80% of the bible is prophecy, 60% has happened. That leaves us with a very important 20% left. All this is very political. If we don't keep up with world events, and pray for understanding, how will we know and be prepared as Jesus commanded us to be. Things so tramatic yet to happen Jesus said if it was possible even the very elect would be discieved. May God bless you and help all of us to understand. Berry

Should Christians be proactive what happens in Governments
Is it a Christian responsibility to be somewhat in the know of what is happening in our Governments:
Is it enough to pray?
or
Should we be more proactive?
Is there scriptures to back this up?
It is my hope we can get a discussion on this in what we believe.
Elaine.
