Israel, an experienced victim of Islamic terror, extended its sympathy and condolences to London in wake of the Muslim terror attack that killed three and wounded some 40.
Israel offered support and condolences to the people of the United Kingdom in wake of the Islamic terror attack in London on Wednesday, which left three victims dead and 40 wounded.
Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely stated Israel “expresses its deep shock at the terror attack in London today and its solidarity with the victims and with the people and government of Great Britain.”

ISIS claimed responsibility for the deadly attack in London, while the UK exhibited an unyielding stance in the face of Islamic terrorism.

The Islamic State (ISIS) terror group claimed responsibility for Wednesday’s terror attack in London, in which an Islamic terrorist ran his car into pedestrians and then stabbed a policeman, killing three and wounding 40.

The ISIS-linked Amaq news agency stated that the terrorist “was a soldier of the Islamic State who carried out the operation in response to calls for targeting citizens of the coalition” of countries fighting ISIS in Syria and Iraq.

ISIS has threatened to target the UK in the past.

“It is Islamist terrorism,” stated British premier Theresa May. “It is a perversion of a great faith.”

ISIS has claimed responsibility for attacks in several European cities, including tBerlin, Brussels, Paris and Nice.

Seeking the Best Response to Terrorism

May set an unyielding tone Thursday in a sweeping statement before the House of Commons. While she honored the police, she also saluted the actions of millions of people who went about their daily routines, defying terrorism.

“As I speak millions will be boarding trains and airplanes to travel to London, and to see for themselves the greatest city on Earth,” she stated. “It is in these actions – millions of acts of normality – that we find the best response to terrorism —a response that denies our enemies their victory, that refuses to let them win, that shows we will never give in.”

Parliament began a moment of silence at 9:33 a.m., honoring murdered officer Keith Palmer, who was stabbed in the attack.

“Those who carry out such wicked and depraved acts as we saw yesterday can never triumph in our country and we must ensure it is not violence, hatred or division but decency and tolerance that prevails in our country,” Trade Secretary Liam Fox said.

“Hear, hear!” lawmakers from all parties responded in unison.

Also on Thursday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu strongly condemned the terror attack and sent his condolences to the victims.

“The citizens of Israel were among the first to face the challenge of vehicular ramming and stabbing attacks. We must stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the citizens of Britain and the entire civilized world against radical Islamic terrorism,” he stated.

The day after an Islamic terror attack claimed the lives of three people and wounded scores of others, Holly Baxter, writing for the UK’s Independent, said, “London needs a Muslim mayor now more than ever.”
She was reacting to Donald Trump, Jr.’s Twitter criticism of London Mayor Sadiq Khan for writing off terrorism as a reality to deal with living in a big city. Baxter’s political correctness meter was triggered and she dashed to her keyboard:
Call me crazy, but as soon as that popped up in my feed, I got the distinct feeling he wouldn’t be sharing it if the Mayor of London was a man called John Jones.
Baxter went after anti-Islamic activist Tommy Robinson, as well, who wrote on Twitter: “Muslims make up only 4 per cent of the UK population, look at the continued chaos and destruction they cause, what do you think it will be like with 20 per cent?”
But it was Trump’s words that really flustered her sensibilities:
What the Trumps say matters, in other words. And despite their love of proclaiming “FAKE NEWS” at other news outlets every five minutes, there’s something insidious about dredging up an article from a year earlier and sharing a quote from it out of context, when that article is an interview with the London Mayor and London is currently in the midst of a terror attack. It’s not exactly fake, but it’s not being truthful either.
However, Baxter lathered on the praise for Mayor Khan: “He is a formidable politician, one who became mayor after being subjected to a shameful ‘dog whistle’ campaign that was even denounced by the sister of his opponent, Zac Goldsmith. The fact that his star has continued to rise despite many cynically attempting to ramp up Islamophobic sentiment against him is testament to his dignity in the face of malicious provocation and the progressive values of Londoners.”
According to Baxter, “London needs a Muslim mayor now more than ever” because having a Muslim in a high position of government “destroys” the narrative that Islam is at war with the West. But note this: It’s interesting how Baxter phrased this; she reversed the order: “the West is at war with Islam.” That shows you just how much she knows, or doesn’t, about world events. If the West is at war with Islam, it’s only because they fired the first shot.
But it’s Baxter’s conclusion that really goes off the rails:
The trouble with ranting and raving against Muslims isn’t just the fact that it’s deplorable racism which should concern anyone with a moral conscience, but that it definitely doesn’t protect the West from future acts of terrorism. It is certain to make everything worse.
Parade yourself in public while proclaiming that Islam is the root of all evil if you must, but at least have the common decency to admit it’s all a far-right careerist exercise rather than anything to do with “protecting the innocent”. And if you, like Donald Trump Jr, have to put in real work to make a prominent Muslim figure look like they’re fine with a bit of terrorism now and then, it should eventually dawn on you that what you’re saying doesn’t actually bear any resemblance to the truth.

“ISLAM is not a race and so campaigning against it cannot be racism. You appear not to understand anything about this. GO AND READ SOME HISTORY OF ISLAM.”
“One wants to vomit. PC comes before respect of those who were murdered. Khan’s relevance is peripheral. However, if anybody thought that having a Muslim mayor would somehow protect London that is clearly mistaken.”
“When Khan said “terrorist attacks are part and parcel of living in a big city” he conveniently left out “a big city that has a significant Muslim population”
“Because despite your hysteria over some phantom ‘far right’, it’s Muslims carrying out attacks DAILY across Europe.”

Raids have taken place across the UK in the wake of Wednesday's terror attack.

The police have focused on a number of places that have previously been associated with extremism.

Birmingham

According to the Metropolitan Police, Masood lived most recently in Birmingham where he hired a car to carry out the Westminster terror attacks.

A recent study found that a tenth of all Britain’s convicted Islamist terrorists - 26 in total - came from just five council wards in Birmingham.

The wards — Springfield, Sparkbrook, Hodge Hill, Washwood Heath and Bordesley Green — contain sizeable areas where the vast majority of the population is Muslim.

The city as a whole had 39 convicted terrorists, more than West Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and Lancashire put together.

Birmingham was at the centre of the “Trojan Horse” scandal, when Islamists tried to take over state schools.

Sir Michael Wilshaw, the former head of Ofsted, said that the “second division” performance of the cities schools presented “real dangers that radicalisation will arise again and regressive forces will come back”.

Luton

According to electoral records Masood lived in Luton at two addresses between 2011 and 2013.

Almost a quarter of the population of Luton is Muslim and the town has been described as a “hotbed” of terrorism.

Last month a group of extremists with links to the hate preacher Anjem Choudary were jailed for praising Isil and urging people to travel to Syria to fight.

The banned extremist Muslim group al-Muhajiroun was based there and it is where the July 7 bombers met before they launched their attacks on London's transport network in 2005.


In 2010 an Islamic fundamentalist who carried out a suicide bombing on a busy street in Sweden was radicalised in Luton.

Junead Khan, a delivery driver from Luton, was convicted last year of plotting to behead a US serviceman in Britain outside RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk.

His trial heard that he may have been planning to carry out an attack on Westminster. His trial revealed that he had also posted a video on Youtube called 'ISIS drives around Westminster', which featured music praising ISIS.

Forest Gate, East London

In 2014 Masood lived in Forest Gate, an area which has been repeatedly linked to terrorism.

There have recently been a string of arrests for terror-related offences and a third of the population is Muslim.

The area remains most notorious for a bungled raid in 2006, when counter-terrorism officers wrongly arrested two brothers and shot one of them.

But no device was found and the men were released without charge after spending a week in custody. Police later agreed to pay the brothers £60,000 in damages.

A fourth victim has died after a terrorist drove his car into dozens of people on Westminster Bridge before crashing it into the gates of Parliament.
Khalid Masood was shot dead by police moments after fatally stabbing PC Keith Palmer on Wednesday and mowing down people on the bridge.

Police said a 75-year-old man died in hospital from his injuries on Thursday evening.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “ Detectives investigating the terrorist attack in Westminster on Wednesday, 22 March can confirm that a 75-year-old man died tonight, Thursday, 23 March.

“The man had been receiving medical treatment in hospital following the attack and life support was withdrawn this evening.

“Next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained family liaison officers."

The man has not yet been named.

Two people - American Kurt Cochran and Spaniard Aysha Frade - were also killed and about 40 others hurt on the bridge.

Police have identified Khalid Masood, 52, as the March 22 Westminster attacker. A Kent resident, Masood had been convicted in the past of possession of offensive weapons and public order offenses. The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack, calling Masood “a soldier of the Islamic State." Eight arrests have been made so far, following the attack that killed five people - including the attacker - and injured 40.

The four victims of the March 22 terror incident have been identified as Aysha Frade, a college worker in her 40s; Kurt Cochran, 54, from Ohio, U.S.; Police Constable Keith Palmer, 48; and Leslie Rhodes, a 75-year-old London native.

On March 22, a sole assailant drove a car into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge before running into the grounds of the Palace of Westminster with a knife, fatally wounding a police officer. They stood in the centre of Brussels. Row on row.

Hands held high, making hearts to the heavens. Showing the slaughtered they were not forgotten. Reminding themselves they were here with love. Looking to show humanity wins. That love conquers all.

They lay in the centre of London, face down where they fell. Stabbed by a knife, rammed with a car, flung, broken, into the Thames, life bleeding out on the curb.

And the news came thick and fast.

No anger for me this time. No rage like I’ve felt before. No desperate urge to get out there and scream at the idiots who refused to see this coming.

Not even a nod for the glib idiots who say this will not defeat us, that we will never be broken, that cowardice and terror will not get the better of Britain.

Because, as loyal as I am, as patriotic as I am, as much as my whole younger life was about joining the British military and fighting for my country — I fear we are broken.

Not because of this ghoulish spectacle outside our own Parliament. Not because of the lives rammed apart on the pavement, even as they thought about what was for tea. Or what train home they might make.

Israel, an experienced victim of Islamic terror, extended its sympathy and condolences to London in wake of the terror attack.

Israel offered support and condolences to the people of the United Kingdom in wake of the Islamic terror attack in London on Wednesday, which left three victims dead and 40 wounded.

“Terror is terror wherever it occurs and we will fight it relentlessly,” she said.

Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon expressed Israel’s support for the UK to Ambassador Matthew Rycroft following the terror attack.

“Israel stands as one with the British people as we all work together to defeat the scourge of terrorism,” he stated.

He conveyed Israel’s condolences and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

Tel Aviv’s city hall was lit up in Union Jack colors in solidarity with the British people. “We stand with London,” the municipality stated.

A knife-wielding Muslim went on a deadly rampage in the heart of Britain’s seat of power Wednesday, plowing a car into pedestrians on London’s Westminster Bridge before stabbing a police officer to death inside the gates of Parliament.

‘Will All Move Forward Together’
Prime Minister Theresa May condemned the attack as a “sick and depraved terrorist attack.”

Police said they were treating the attack as terrorism. There was no immediate claim of responsibility.

“Tomorrow morning, Parliament will meet as normal,” May said. Londoners and visitors “will all move forward together, never giving in to terror and never allowing the voices of hate and evil to drive us apart.”

Wednesday was the anniversary of suicide bombings in the Brussels airport and subway that killed 32 people last year, and the latest events echoed recent vehicle attacks in Berlin and Nice, France.

The last time London experienced a severe terror attack was on July 7, 2005, when four al-Qaida-inspired British bombers blew themselves up on three subway trains and a bus in London, killing 52 people.

The most gruesome recent attack occurred in 2013 when two Muslim converts of Nigerian descent attacked Lee Rigby, a British soldier who was walking down the street. The men ran Rigby down with their vehicle and then used a cleaver to hack him to death as bystanders watched in horror.

ISIS have celebrated the Parliament terror incident calling it the ‘blessed London attack’ posting ‘Allahu Akbar’ alongside horrific photos from the scene.

While ISIS has not claimed responsibility for the attacks, Ahmet Yayla, professor of Criminology and Former Counterterrorism Police Chief in Turkey, is relaying updates from ISIS’ telegram, an encrypted messaging service.

Mr Yayla has reported the ISIS account is: “Cheering for the #Westminster #Westmattack and posted the scheme for the attack. #London #ISIS.”

Isil supporters have cheered the attack on Westminster, suggesting it was “revenge” for the UK’s airstrikes on the terror group in Syria and Iraq.
Followers on pro-Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant channels on the social media service Telegram posted messages applauding the knife-wielding suspect and called the attack “blessed”.
One said the UK was paying “blood for blood” for its involvement in the US-led coalition’s campaign against the jihadists.
“Our battle on your land is only just beginning,” read one poster next to a photoshopped image of Big Ben being blown up.

A terrorist from Cardiff prepared for a terror attack and kept the details on computer files hidden in a James Bond-style cuff link.

Samata Ullah, 34, from Cardiff , appeared in court today to and pleaded guilty to being a member of Islamic State (IS), being involved in terrorist training, and preparation of terrorist acts.

At the time of his arrest, he had a cufflink that contained a tiny computer USB drive. The drive had a Linux operating system loaded onto it to conceal a hoard of extremist data, including a blog.

At an Old Bailey hearing, Ullah pleaded guilty to five terror offences including possession of an article for terrorist purposes on or before September 22 last year.

From December 2015, he had provided instructional videos on how to secure sensitive data and remain anonymous online with the use of the Tor programme, and PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) encryption.

Ullah admitted researching ZeroNet and developing a version of a blog site using the decentralised internet-like peer-to-peer network.

He also pleaded guilty to having a book entitled Guided Missiles Fundamentals AFM 52-31 and an electronic PDF version of the book Advances In Missile Guidance, Control, And Estimation for terrorist purposes.

However, he denied a charge of directing terrorism between December 2015 and September last year contrary to section 56 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

Prosecutor Brian Altman QC said the Crown had accepted the pleas after referring to the Attorney General.

He asked for the remaining charge to lie on file.

The court heard Ullah had since been diagnosed with autism.

Mr Altman said a hi-tech report dealt with the defendant’s desire to copy his blog onto a platform in a “format that meant it could not be closed down or deleted by the authorities”.

Judge Gerald Gordon lifted reporting restrictions in the case.

He said the “issue of dangerousness” would have to be looked at before sentencing.

Ullah admitted the charges earlier this month but his pleas could not be reported until after the prosecution had time to consider whether to go ahead with a trial on the remaining charge.

He did not attend court to hear of the Attorney General’s decision.

His barrister Ben Emmerson QC said Ullah had admitted membership of IS on the basis that was what he had professed.

Sentencing was adjourned to April 28 at the Old Bailey.

Ullah was arrested in Cardiff on September 22 last year by officers from the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command (SO15), supported by the Wales Extremism and Counter Terrorism Unit (WECTU).

The move followed the arrest of a man in Kenya who had been in regular contact with Ullah and discussed developing special skills to help the IS campaign of terror, Scotland Yard said.

During the course of their investigation into Ullah’s activities, officers found he was an active member of IS and had helped other like-minded extremists by teaching them how to keep their activities secret.

He developed a website on computer hacking and kept numerous documents and videos on electronic devices and at home, including the USB cuff link storing IS publications.

Commander Dean Haydon said: “Just because Ullah’s activity was in the virtual world, we never underestimated how dangerous his activity was.

“He sat in his bedroom in Wales and created online content with the sole intention of aiding people who wanted to actively support ISIS and avoid getting caught by the authorities.

“This is just the sort of information that may have helped people involved in planning devastating, low technical level attacks on crowded places as we have seen in other cities across the world.

Detective Superintendent Lee Porter, head of WECTU, said: “Ullah’s activities came as a shock for those who knew him, including his family and the local community. His actions and desires do not represent the people of Cardiff or Wales who have repeatedly voiced and demonstrated their resilience to extremist views.”

A major terrorist incident unfolded outside Parliament when an attacker drove a car into pedestrians and stabbed a policeman.

Parliament is on lockdown after a “terror attack” where a man ploughed a car into pedestrians before stabbing a police officer outside the Palace of Westminster.
As many as a dozen people were mowed down on Westminster Bridge by the attacker before he ran towards the Houses of Parliament and attacked a policeman before being shot by armed officers.
Parliament was immediately shut down and the Prime Minister bundled into a car and left the scene as officers searched the building, evacuating floors one by one.

Scotland Yard said the attack was being treated "as a terrorist incident until we know otherwise".

An air ambulance landed in Parliament Square and medics were treating a number of people who had been injured in the incident.

Pictures showed a number of people lying in the road on the bridge, another images showed a man lying bleeding at the foot of stairs next to the Parliament building.

Commons leader David Lidington confirmed a "police officer has been stabbed" and the "alleged assailant was shot by armed police" amid "further violent incidents" in the area.

He told MPs in the House of Commons: "An air ambulance is currently attending the scene to remove the casualties.

"There are also reports of further violent incidents in the vicinity of the Palace of Westminster but I hope colleagues on all sides will appreciate that it'd be wrong of me to go into further details until we have confirmation from the police and from the House security authorities about what is going on."

Witnesses described seeing an Asian guy in his 40 carrying a knife and running across the bridge and towards the Houses of Parliament.

Alan Parry, of Sky Sports News, was at Westminster for a meeting when he heard "an almighty crash" just outside the underground station .

He said he could see a vehicle on the other side of the road which had crashed into some railings.

He said: "There was smoke coming this vehicle. I walked on a few paces further and saw what I assumed to be either a pedestrian or a cyclist who had clearly been hit and wasn't moving, although he did then gently move.

"The guy who I assumed was the driver of this 4x4 got out of the car and suddenly sprinted away from the scene - that was followed by four of what sounded much like gunshots.

"All of a sudden all hell was let loose. Police descended everywhere and the whole area was locked down."

Jayne Wilkinson said: "We were taking photos of Big Ben and we saw all the people running towards us, and then there was an Asian guy in about his 40s carrying a knife about seven or eight inches long.

"And then there were three shots fired, and then we crossed the road and looked over. The man was on the floor with blood.

"He had a lightweight jacket on, dark trousers and a shirt.

"He was running through those gates, towards Parliament, and the police were chasing him."
