Year of the Death of Jesus -
Prior to the Nine Days Leading to an Empty Tomb on Sunday:
Jesus resurrected Lazarus from his physical death in Bethany.

Nisan 10 is Day 1 of the nine days of events that include the death and resurrection of Jesus.  Day 9 was the first day of the week when the women found an empty tomb at sunrise on Sunday morning where the body of Jesus had laid for three days and three nights.
The year of the death of Jesus Nisan 10 was on the Seventh Day Sabbath - on Palm Saturday not Sunday.  It was the date when Jesus' presented Himself in Jerusalem.  John 12 tells us that Jesus was in Bethany at the home of Lazarus the evening of Nisan 9.  The next morning which was Nisan 10 He left Bethany and made His Triumphal Entrance in Jerusalem.  
Exodus 12 tells us that Nisan 10 is the date that the Passover Lamb was to be selected.  On that date the year of His death Jesus presented Himself as our Passover Lamb as He rode on the back of a donkey in Jerusalem.  Afterwards He went into the Temple and then returned to Bethany to the home of Lazarus, Mary and Martha.
Prior to that time Jesus had learned of the death of Lazarus.  Only after Lazarus has been dead for four days did Jesus go to Bethany to raise Lazarus from his physical death.  
Jesus was the firstfruits of the resurrection from the death of a physical body into an incorruptible body given eternal life.  Lazarus had to die again after he was resurrected.  Lazarus experienced a second death but was not hurt by it.

Question :
Jesus ate the Passover on the 14th ? but they ate it on the preparation day of Passover, maybe 13th ?
Then Jesus died afternoon 13th as scarified lamp the same time the Jew are killing actual lamp for Passover dinner on 14th at twilight !
So why David C. Grabbe said Jesus ate Passover on 14th ? It should be on he beginning of 13th ?!
Unless the Jew celebrate the Passover on the wrong date ?!

Daren well spotted. I have once before found something i disagree with C Grabbe but not often. This I agree with you for Jesus is our Passover lamb and he was showing the disciples He is/was the Passover lamb Messiah who has come. He was killed the same time as the lambs were being selected.

Darren Chang something else to also consider one day is split in 2 the Jewish calendar as with the Gregorian which we use. Sunset begins new day.

Elaine Jehu understand that ! Jesus ate Passover on 13th twilight with his disciple . And Jesus died 13th at 3pm . And the Jew ate Passover on 14th twilight around 3 hrs after Jesus’ death !

So Jesus ate Passover and died on the preparation day 13th ! But his disciple never question Jesus why he wanted to eat Passover a day ahead ?

A point to remember : is Jesus was not crucified on a Friday as many say.
Wednesday it is proven when we recall He said he would be as 3 days and nights in the belly of the whale as was Jonah.
The Sabbath is Saturday and when Mary went to the tomb He was not there FOR HE HAD RISEN.

We werre taught Jesus died on Friday how could he be in the tomb (bellly of the whale) 3 days and nights and resurrect before the Sabbath. it is not possible.

Darren Chang remember it is not as our 24 hour clock. there is morning and evening two different days.
Even so, in all seasons a day is always divided into 12 hours, and a night is always divided into 12 hours, which inevitably makes for a longer hour or a shorter hour. All of the hours mentioned by the Sages in either the Mishnah or Talmud, or in other rabbinic writings, refer strictly to relative hours.
