What Is Your Opinion? Empty Re: What Is Your Opinion?

Post  Admin Fri 09 Apr 2010, 10:52 pm

Hi Zerich there are so many discussions or arguments whichever we want to call them which can be taken up on Islamic views but I feel would most certainly to being going around the mulberry bush
BUT to HONE IN is to (move forward in being as one) so to speak, and has all to being as
ON BEING ONE AS GOD INTENDED ... IN CHRIST

As Jessie: stated... in our Forum What has light to do with darkness
(1 John 5) This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all.
The Quran in Sura 2:282 says:
And let two men from among you bear witness to all such documents [contracts of loans without interest]. But if two men be not available, there should be one man and two women to bear witness so that if one of the women forgets (anything), the other may remind her
A husband may simply get rid of one of his undesirable wives.
What A STATEMENT! give me a quote in the Bible where God tells me this!
Talking from a Christian perspective.
Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
John 17:11 "I am no longer in the world; and yet they themselves are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, the name which You have given Me, that they may be one even as We are.
Zerich: Whatever books this professor which he calls himself...
I would just make some short points. That which I have replied to previously... Also notes below.
This statement is so belittling of Women
where does it say in the bible that a women has such a small mind need another man should she forget?
AND PLEASE dont LET THEM bring the passage of scripture 1 Corinth 14 :34 The two main texts that appear to discredit women’s ministry are 1 Timothy 2:11,12 and 1 Corinthians 14:34,35. We will take these one by one and, in the light of the whole of Scripture, aim to supply the reader with an acceptable and sound interpretation of their actual meaning.
Paul dealt with spiritual gifts. There is not even a hint in this chapter to suggest that those gifts mentioned were bestowed upon men only. There is no Biblical evidence to suggest that only men received the gifts of the spirit. Rather, we find clear evidence which proves that church members, male and female, had various gifts.
CHRISTIAN VIEW
In 1 Corinth 12:3 Paul says,
"No man can confess Jesus as Lord, but in the Holy Spirit." No one would argue that the man here referred only to the masculine sex. Women also confess Jesus as Lord by the same spirit, and they do it in public assemblies of the church.
Christian VIEW
My Saviour treated all with respect even went out of His way to the Samaritan women John Chapter 4
Jesus gives an eternal life with God. John 4:14. 14But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life....
WHOSOEVER
Jesus ministered to outcasts of Jewish society, which indicates that (a) all people are important to God and (b) Jesus wants us to show love to everyone, including our enemies. John 4:7-10 7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink. 8 (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.) 9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. 10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
Jesus ministered to outcasts of Jewish society, which indicates that (a) all people are important to God and (b) Jesus wants us to show love to everyone, including our enemies. John 4-10

A woman’s testimony counts half of a man’s testimony.
NEED I SAY MORE!
The Quran in Sura 4:129 says:
It is not within your power to be perfectly equitable in your treatment with all your wives, even if you wish to be so; therefore, [in order to satisfy the dictates of Divine Law] do not lean towards one wife so as to leave the other in a state of suspense.
The Quran in Sura 4:34 says:
4:34 . . . If you fear highhandedness from your wives, remind them [of the teaching of God], then ignore them when you go to bed, then hit them. THEN HIT THEM!If they obey you, you have no right to act against them. God is most high and great.
Quran quotes in Sura Chapter) 2:223
A husband has sex with his wife, as a plow goes into a field.
Your women are your fields, so go into your fields whichever way you like

What Is Your Opinion? Empty Re: What Is Your Opinion?

Post  jessie Fri 09 Apr 2010, 4:08 pm

i wonder if they would allow someone to speak to them about what christianity is?...i personally would have nothing to do with this and am surprised that any church would allow this to happen .the scripture is clear ..light cannot have fellowship with darkness ...was it on here i read a post about " the bread roll"..?we have become like Esau who gave away his heritage for a mess of pottage ....he was more concerned with satisfying his earthly appetite than keeping what had been intrusted to him for future generations ......judith

What Is Your Opinion? Empty What Is Your Opinion?

Post  Zerich Fri 09 Apr 2010, 1:12 am

When Jesus Spoke of a "New Commandment" He said,"...........that you love one another as you love yourself......... (Paraphrased)

Knowing that, What are your thoughts concerning this?

Islamic Studies Specialist To Speak.

Author and professor of Islamic Studies Nabeel Jabbour will speak at (an unnamed Baptist Church), here in my hometown. The article goes on to say that he has written several books in English and Arabic on global trends in Islam and specializes in interpreting the Islamis wirld view for Christian audiences.

"My passion is to help Christians in general and American Christians in particular to develop a better and more objective understanding of Islam. When there is good understanding, compassion and love develop." This is A quote from Jabbour supposedly.
