Rosenberg said Israelis were living in a time of release on Oct. 6, 2023, as it was safe, prosperous, and secure — the safest it had been in modern history.

“You’d have to go back to the days of Solomon and David when the kingdom was peaceful and secure,” he said, noting Israel had just come off making four Arab-Israeli peace treaties and normalization treaties via the Abraham Accords. “We were just about to finalize another deal — the biggest peace and normalization deal in Israeli history — and that would be with the Saudi government.”

But all of that peace was obliterated by Hamas’ horrific terror attack on Oct. 7, 2023, an event he said was the “longest contraction” modern Israel has faced.

“I would add that, just in context, I believe COVID was a biblical Matthew 24 contraction where … a lot of people died. But the other part was … not only was there this terrible health pandemic, plague, a biblical plague, but even the American government could say in an instant, ‘You can’t go to church. You can’t leave your house. You can’t go see your friends, but the strip clubs could stay open. The casinos could stay open. The bars could stay open — the liquor stores, but not churches. That was a contraction.”

Thanksgiving season is here, and across our country, pastors will preach sermons pointing out the need for Christ-followers to be thankful people. As a pastor, I’ve made impassioned pleas for Christ-followers to rise above our culture… to resist the temptation for the holiday season to be simply another opportunity for us to be self-focused and self-indulgent. Thanksgiving isn't just about eating to the brink of explosion; shopping to the brink of bankruptcy; watching television to the brink of insanity. I've tried to make the point that Thanksgiving for a person who loves God can be so much more.

Even so, I discovered in my own life that despite what I've preached, I have missed a crucial element in the process of being a thankful follower of Jesus in my own life. I found that over the years I have been mostly thankful for the THINGS in my life; for food, finances, the house I have lived in, the clothes I have worn, and so on. While there’s nothing wrong with being thankful for these things, I have missed the boat on giving thanks for the biggest blessings of God in my life…PEOPLE.

Consider how empty, purposeless, and meaningless our lives would be without relationships. Relationships have shaped who we are and who we are becoming. Without exception, everyone I know has been positively influenced by other people. While it is easy to thank God for the THINGS in our lives, we should remember to be equally thankful for the PEOPLE God has placed in our lives as well!

Vice President Harris rallied in Michigan on Sunday, visiting a black church and being prayed over by the pastors. Harris said, "I see a nation determined to turn the page on hatred and division and chart a new way forward."

In a visit with Arab-American leaders, she said she'll support the creation of a Palestinian state in the Middle East.

"We need to end the war, and we need to get the hostages out. And as President of the United States, I will do everything in my power to achieve that end, and a two-state solution," Harris said.

Former President Trump visited the battleground states of Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Georgia on Sunday, pledging to tackle the economy and inflation.

"It's going to be so good, it's going to be so much fun," Trump told supporters. "It'll be nasty a little bit at times, and maybe at the beginning in particular."

Trump also warned about a Harris administration saying, "If she wins, you will live the rest of your life as second-class citizens in your own country."

Polling shows a race too close to call. New York Times/Sienna College polling shows the candidates tied or Harris leading in every swing state except Arizona.

NBC gave Trump two minutes of free campaign ads Sunday during NASCAR and NFL coverage after a 90-second appearance by Harris on NBC's Saturday Night Live program prompted a Federal Communications commissioner to say it broke the FCC's Equal Time rule.

Sitting in my living room, I often drift off into my own thoughts. I wonder what other people are doing today and how much more they are living life to the fullest. Due to depression and fear, I often self-isolate myself. Self-isolation has caused me to miss out on a lot of life. I chose to stay in the safety of my home rather than face the outside world.

While many people think this is being cautious, it actually becomes controlling. Fear can control us to the point that we are immobile. I never thought I would come to a place such as this, yet here I am. Maybe you also find yourself in a similar place. Fear has kept you from truly living for far too long. This, in turn, leads us to fear we are going to miss out on life.

In truth, this is something that has often made me feel deep regret. Am I doing everything I should be doing? Am I truly making the most of every opportunity? What will I think about my life at the very end? Unfortunately, I don’t think I have a positive answer to any of these questions. Even if we think we have some areas under control in our lives, we might be missing out on the most important things.

Something that has become a goal of mine is to truly start enjoying the little moments in life. Rather than always thinking others have it better than me, I’m starting to recognize all the blessings God has given me. Maybe I don’t have a prestigious home, a well-paying job, or a tight-knit circle of friends, but I do have God. When I’m at my breaking point, I remember Him and He helps me find myself again.

Elizabeth Francis very literally saw it all. The nation’s oldest person died last Tuesday at the age of 115, with friends and loved ones issuing praise and adoration after her incredible life.

According to CNN, Francis was known as “Queen Elizabeth of Houston,” and media headlines often surrounded her longevity and her amazing life. She was born in 1909 and lived through both World Wars, America’s civil rights battle — and even saw 20 presidents come to power, the outlet noted.


Francis, who lived in Houston, Texas, most of her life, worked at her church and ran a coffee shop at a local TV station.

Some might wonder her secret to a long life, and if you asked Francis — and many did — she’d tell you it was all the Lord. In fact, she said as much in a past interview with Longeviquest.com.

“I just thank the good Lord for keeping me here,” she said. “He’s had no reason to take me.”

During that same interview, she revealed 1 John 4:8 is her favorite Bible verse. It reads, “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”

Comedian and cultural commentator Russell Brand — a recent convert to Christianity — said in a newly posted video that many in Hollywood are “terrified of being exposed” for their sins.

The 49-year-old celebrity made the declaration in a video shared to X.


Opening up his Bible to 1 Timothy 1:15-16, Brand explained why Christianity appealed to him.

In the passage, the Apostle Paul wrote (ESV):

The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life.

“People are terrified of being exposed,” the actor said. “Look at the stuff that’s going on in Hollywood at the moment. There’s all of this darkness that’s gonna be revealed.”

He continued, “Well, those of us that publicly are known to have sinned, are known to have lived a life away from Him, lived a life looking for the stimulants that the world offers you, lures you with. … Those of us who live with open transparency can authentically accept that we are flawed and fallen and that is the way that we will know Christ, through our brokenness.”

Brand went on to say one of the benefits of his newfound faith in Christ is that he no longer has to hide any of his past mistakes because he has been redeemed by the Gospel message.

“You don’t have to be pretending to be something that you’re not,” he said. “You don’t have to be concealing anything about yourself, because what you are is beautiful. I wish I could’ve known that when I was small. I’m so glad I know it now and I hope you know it as well. Paul, what an example.”

Brand was baptized in May of this year with the help of TV personality Bear Grylls. Then, in September, the British-born comedian drew headlines — and some criticism — when he baptized one of his friends while both were in their underwear. Brand later acknowledged that, in retrospect, it was a bit immodest. He did, though, say it was impromptu and he didn’t come prepared to get into the water.

Also last month, Brand appeared on a podcast tour with political commentator Tucker Carlson. Brand — at the request of Carlson — closed out the event with a prayer against “dark and demonic forces.”

“I pray in Your name that the forthcoming election be an opportunity for unity, for America and for Americans, for forgiveness and for grace; that the dark and demonic forces that appear to operate at the level of the state — the deep state and the corporate and global world — experience Your light, Lord,” he prayed.

Brand’s latest comments about sin in Hollywood come amid escalating reports about rapper and entertainment mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is facing a lengthy list of hefty charges all related to sex trafficking and racketeering.

Joyfully Praising God in Zion

Tonight marks the end of Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles, a feast mandated by God as a joyous time of celebration.

This is the most joyful time of year for Jews. Families gather for meals in booths, sukkahs, which are temporary shelters built outside their homes using natural materials. The roofs are built with branches and with gaps in the roof.

It’s a wonderful visual reminder to the Jews of their time in the wilderness after being freed from Egypt. It is both humbling, seeing as they are in a fragile home and having to rely on God, but also it enables them to gaze up at the stars and see the wonders of God’s creation and how awesome He is.

Israel has so much to be thankful for. God is continuing to provide for and protect His people. They are established in the land God gave them. Against all odds, they are surviving and thriving. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob continues to defend His people just as He promised. Israel lives.

Sukkot should also be an encouragement to Christians. As Watchmen on the walls who love Israel, we have assurance that our labour is not in vain. We are praying for Israel and speaking out for Zion. We may be seemingly more isolated in this world, but God is watching. One day, every nation, even those that hate Israel, will come to Jerusalem to worship the King of Israel.

“And it shall come to pass, that everyone that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.”
(Zechariah 14:16)


What a joy it is to know the end from the beginning. One day all nations will participate in the joy of Sukkot in Jerusalem.

Jerusalem is important in God’s plans. Therefore, Jerusalem is important to Christians. We continually pray for the peace of Jerusalem and raise our voices for Zion’s sake.

Today marks exactly one year since the tragic day that Hamas invaded Israel and murdered over 1,200 innocent people and kidnapped over 250 more. On this anniversary, our message to Israel and the Jewish people is simple: YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

We wept with you on October 7th 2023 and we stand by your side one year later. At Christians United for Israel, we represent the voices of tens of thousands of Christians in the UK that have pledged to stand with Israel and the Jewish people, proclaiming: “For Zion’s sake, I will not keep silent.”

Twelve months on, Israel faces unprecedented challenges. Hostages remain captive in Gaza and need to be returned. The Iranian regime and their proxies, Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis, are trying to enact their stated aims – to destroy Israel. But they will not succeed. Israel wants to live and will not allow it to happen.

We have seen that Israel’s fight is not confined to the battlefield. The wave of misinformation has attempted to make Israel the perpetrator, not the victim. With many in politics, the media and in the international community buying into this deception, it has become more important than ever to make the truth known. Through the past year, CUFI supporters have put words into action and helped us confront the lies. But we must not stop.

Meanwhile, antisemitism in the UK has tripled in the past year – not because of Israel’s actions, but because of Israel’s existence. It is a stain on our country, but as Christians we want the Jewish community to know that this is NOT in our name.

On this solemn day, we remember all the victims of October 7th and their families. We pray for the release of the hostages. We pray for all those serving in the IDF and for Israel’s victory against its enemies. And we hold onto the hope so heart-warmingly embodied by the Jewish people – Am Yisrael Chai, the nation of Israel lives.

Hezbollah are the bad guys. The bad guys started it.
Between 8th October 2023 to 22nd September 2024, Hezbollah fired over 9,000 rockets at Israel. After the worst massacre against the Jewish people since the Holocaust perpetrated by Hamas, the Lebanese-based terror group Hezbollah refused to be a silent observer. They used the moment as Israel mourned the loss of its own and fought to save its people from captivity, to unleash 12 months of barrage after barrage of rockets at Israel. Tens of thousands of Israeli citizens remain displaced for the past year, waiting to return to their homes. Yet, there is a narrative in the media that accuses Israel of escalating the conflict.

Netanyahu slams Starmer’s ‘misguided’ decision to ban arms to Israel
Keir Starmer received stern words from his Israeli counterpart over the UK’s “absurd” decision to introduce a partial arms embargo. In an interview with the Daily Mail, Israel’s Prime Minister said: “They say that Israel has the right to defend itself, but they undermine our ability to exercise that right both by reversing Britain’s position on the absurd allegations made by the ICC [International Criminal Court] prosecutor against Israel and by blocking weapons sales to Israel as we fight against the genocidal terrorist organisation that carried out the October 7 massacre.”

British-born actor Russell Brand has come a ways since his baptism by reality TV star Bear Grylls.

The 49-year-old comedian turned cultural commentator joined Tucker Carlson for a live event in Phoenix, Arizona, last week, where the former Fox News host, who was raised Episcopalian, asked Brand to close the session in prayer.

All to happy to oblige the request, Brand — an eclectic character who has faced allegations of sexual misconduct, all of which he denies — enthusiastically knelt down on the stage’s platform to pray.
