A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Wise people talk because they have something to say; fools because they
have to say something.

HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL
"I will make MY HOLY NAME known among MY people Israel, and never again
will I let MY HOLY NAME be profaned. And the nations shall know that I
AM the LORD, the HOLY ONE in Israel." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 39. 7
Tanakh, Nevi'im]

This WONDERFUL NAME OF GOD, "QADOWSH ha'SHEM" (HOLY, THE NAME), was
often used during the days of the later kings of Judah. The strong
emphasis on this particular name during the later period of Judah's
kingdom probably was because of the prevalent un-holiness of the nation
during those years, finally culminating in the captivity of Judah
itself. CREATOR GOD stressed again and again that HE was the "HOLY ONE"
and that "you shall sanctify yourselves and be holy, for I am holy."
[Leviticus (Vayikra) 11. 44 Tanakh, Torah] {In Hebrew, the word for
holy is either "qadowsh/qadosh" — translates sacred, set apart.}

This theme is prominent in most of the 33 passages where this MAJESTIC
NAME is used; but it is especially emphasized in its final incident.
The context of this latter passage is the prophesied invasion of Israel
by "Gog of the land of Magog" who will "advance upon MY people of Israel
like a cloud covering the earth...in the latter days." [Ezekiel
(Yehezke-El) 38. 2, 16 Tanakh, Nevi'im] At that time, says the LORD,
"a terrible earthquake shall befall the land of Israel; and I will
manifest MY greatness and MY holiness, and make MYSELF known in the
sight of many nations. And they shall know that I am the LORD." [Ezekiel
(Yehezke-El) 38. 19, 23 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Then at last, HIS people will never pollute HIS HOLY NAME any more and
"from that time on, the House of Israel shall know that I the LORD am
their GOD — when they dwell in their land secure and untroubled,
when I have brought them back from among the peoples and gathered them
out of the lands of their enemies and have manifested MY holiness
through them in the sight of many nations. They shall know that I the
LORD am their GOD when, having exiled them among the nations, I will
gather them back into their land and leave none of them behind. I will
never again hide MY face from them, for I will pour out MY SPIRIT upon
the House of Israel, declares the LORD GOD." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 39.
22, 29 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Beyond doubt, this will fully come about when our wonderful LORD MESSIAH
YESHUA returns and sets up HIS Kingdom. Are you looking for HIS return?
It is sure to happen soon, HIS coming for HIS Church is so very near!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Man is given choices to act out in this world; but the junctions and
highways have been set in place by the MIGHTY CREATOR. We have an
AWESOME GOD, and HE is on the throne ruling over the affairs of men. HE
is worthy of all our praise and worship, even in difficult times.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Thought for Today
A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Circumstances are instrumental tools for the wise.
OUR PERFECT EXAMPLE
"To this you were called; because CHRIST JESUS also suffered for you
leaving you an example, that you should follow HIS steps." [1 Peter 2.
21]
The four following verses establish a sanction of praise to the LORD
YESHUA ha'MASHIACH for HIS character, nature, attributes and HIS works,
accomplishments and many wondrous deeds:
HIS CHARACTER: "WHO did not commit sin, nor was guile found in HIS
mouth." [1 Peter 2. 22] This refers to a very careful inspection and
examination with "no sin or guile (deception)" found anywhere. The MOST
HOLY LORD, the ANOINTED ONE is TOTAL PERFECTION & ALL-TOGETHER LOVELY.
HIS LIFE: "WHO, when HE (JESUS) was reviled (injurious slander — a
bitter, sharp, heart-breaking wound), did not revile in return; when HE
suffered, HE did not threaten; but committed HIMSELF to HIM (GOD THE
FATHER) WHO judges righteously. " [1 Peter 2. 23] "Shall not the JUDGE
(Hebrew: "SHEPHAT") of all the earth deal justly?" [Genesis (Bereshith)
18. 25-b Tanakh, Torah]
HIS SACRIFICE: "WHO HIMSELF (YESHUA) bore our sins in HIS OWN BODY on
the tree; that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness -
by WHOSE stripes (literally one bleeding stripe — MESSIAH was so
brutally beaten and mutilated by HIS tormentors that HE was simply one
massive bruised laceration), you were healed (our healing is past tense
at the point of salvation. . . referring primarily to spiritual healing
rather than physical)." [1 Peter 2. 24] "But HE was wounded because of
our sins, crushed because of our iniquities. HE bore the chastisement
that made us whole, and by HIS bruises we were healed." [Isaiah
(Yeshayah) 53. 5 Tanakh, Nevi'im]
HIS MISSION: "For you were like sheep going astray, but are now returned
to the SHEPHERD and OVERSEER (the KING ETERNAL — JESUS THE ANOINTED
ONE) of your souls." [1 Peter 2. 25] "Like a SHEPHERD (Hebrew: RO`IY)
HE pastures HIS flock: HE gathers the lambs in HIS arms and carries them
in HIS bosom; gently HE leads those who are with young." [Isaiah
(Yeshayah) 40. 11 Tanakh, Nevi'im]
MESSIAH YESHUA our REDEEMER & SAVIOUR, the EVERLASTING GOD has done all
to provide our atonement and cover our sins before the GREAT & HOLY GOD
OF HEAVEN & EARTH. The LORD JESUS, the SON OF MAN lived a Sinless
Life; then died the Worthy Sacrifice to redeem HIS OwN special people.
"Thank YOU, LORD!" — throughout all eternity we will praise YOU, our
FATHER for YOUR majestic loving-kindness and goodness to us!"
Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
MOST HOLY ONE, YOU are blessed beyond all hymns, praises and
consolations that may be uttered in this world. All adoration, worship
and praise to MESSIAH YESHUA eternally!
May peace abundant descend from heaven with life for us and to all
Israel.
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
When we know WHO (CREATOR GOD) holds the future, then whatever comes,
even the worst is transformed into a blessing.
SEEK MEEKNESS
"Seek the LORD, all you meek of the land who have fulfilled his Law and
judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness. Perhaps you will find
shelter on the day of the LORD'S anger." [Zephaniah (Tsefanyah) 2. 3
Tanakh, Nevi'im]
The phrase "the meek of the land (earth)" is a promise of salvation,
promising justice and also a reassurance of deliverance from the fury of
GOD ALMIGHTY'S wrath. This is also seen in Isaiah and the Psalms —
"Thus hE shall judge the poor with righteousness equity, and reprove
with justice for the lowly and meek of the land. hE shall strike down
the ruthless land with the rod of hIS mouth and slay the wicked with the
breath of hIS lips." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 11. 4 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "GOD
arose to execute judgment, to deliver all the meek of the earth. Selah"
[Psalms (Tehillym) 76. 9 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
The NEW COVENANT also has blessed promises for "the meek of the land."
MESSIAH YESHUA confirmed, "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit
the earth" [Matthew 5. 5] referring to the promise in the OLD COVENANT
— "But the lowly (meek) will inherit the land and delight in
abundant of peace." [Psalms (Tehillym) 37. 11 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "For
the LORD takes pleasure (delights) in hIS people: hE adorns the meek
(lowly) with victory and salvation." [Psalms (Tehillym) 149. 4 Tanakh,
Kethuvim] "hE guides the meek in the right path, and teaches them hIS
way." [Psalms (Tehillym) 25. 9 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Thus, we should put on
the incorruptible beauty of "the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit,
which is very precious in the sight of GOD." [1 Peter 3. 4]
Meekness (Hebrew: `anav) means gentle or humble not weakness
(Hebrew: `aniy). This is made clear by the first use of the word in
HOLY SCRIPTURE, "Now Moses was a very humble (meek) man, more so than
any other men on earth." [Numbers (B'Midvar) 12. 3 Tanakh, Torah] Moses
was courageous and strong, as well as being profoundly humble (meek) and
unselfish; a man of prayer and expectation totally trusting the Word
of the Almighty implicitly without hesitation. The LORD YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH portrayed meekness in HIS OWN HUMAN character, "Take MY
yoke upon you and learn from ME, for I am gentle (meek) and lowly in
heart, and you will find rest for your souls." [Matthew 11, 29]
A meek and quiet spirit enables a true CHRIST-like- one to maintain
composure in the face of conflict, trials and hardship without
complaining; accomplishment without arrogance; failure without
resentment. It produces a peace which no trouble can disturb, "the
peace of GOD, which surpasses all understanding. " [Philippians 4. 7]
Therefore, seek meekness!
Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
LORD our GOD, may YOUR Kingdom come speedily, so the worship of YOUR
HOLY NAME and obedience to YOUR Law may unite all men in brotherhood and
peace; that every creature may know that YOU are its CREATOR, and every
living being exclaim — The LORD, the GREAT GOD OF ISRAEL, rules and
HIS dominion endures forever. Amen!
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Cast not filth into the well that gives you water!
LISTEN & LEARN
"My children, listen to the instructions of your father, give attention
and learn discernment, for I give you good doctrine; Do not forsake my
law." [Proverbs (Mishle) 4. 1 - 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
The Book of Proverbs is a great source for human wisdom as well as GODLY
understanding. In it we learn, "wisdom and discipline; and
understanding words of discernment; acquiring discipline for success,
righteousness, justice and equity; and for endowing the simple with
shrewdness, the young with knowledge and foresight." [Proverbs (Mishle)
1. 2 - 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Many of the Proverbs, written by Solomon,
were teachings from his father, David.
Wisdom teaches the urgent importance for children to listen and obey the
counsel of their GODLY parents. This command is most important today,
as it is one of the prevalent characteristics of the "last days." It is
foretold that children will be "disobedient to parents." [2 Timothy 3. 1
- 2] It would be much better for children today to obey the GODLY
instruction, "Children, obey your parents in the LORD, for this is
right. "Honor your father and mother" — which is the first
commandment with promise." [Ephesians 6. 1 - 2]
How zealously significant that each lesson stresses the urgent
importance of young people to obey the WORD of ALMIGHTY GOD, which is to
be taught to them by their parents. Wise counsel, learning,
discretion, instruction, knowledge, understanding and wisdom are
promised repeatedly to those who know, love and obey GOD'S HOLY WORD.
"My son, if you accept my words and treasure up my commandments; if you
make your ear attentive to wisdom, and your mind open to discernment; if
you call to understanding and cry aloud to knowledge, if you seek her
(wisdom) as you do silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures,
then you will understand the fear of the LORD and attain knowledge of
GOD." [Proverbs (Mishle) 2. 1 - 5 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
Parents must teach their children so they will have an understanding of
GOD and HIS holiness. Children must listen, comply and conform
—then, all the treasures of heaven are within reach. "The fear of
the LORD is the beginning (and the best part) of knowledge and wisdom."
[Proverbs (Mishle) 1. 7 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Make every effort, the best
awaits you and is available for the taking!
Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
We gratefully acknowledge, O LORD, our GOD, that YOU are our CREATOR and
PRESERVER, the ROCK of our life and the SHIELD of our help. We give
thanks to YOU for our lives which are in YOUR hands, for our souls which
are ever in YOUR keeping, for YOUR wondrous faithfulness to us and for
YOUR continuous goodness, which YOU grant us each day. Truly, YOUR
mercies never fail and YOUR loving-kindness never ceases. To YOU alone
we serve in reverence and put our full trust in YOU. Thank YOU,
HEAVENLY FATHER, for giving YOUR all.
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Thought for Today
A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Work, like prayer, can lead you out of yourself and up Mount Sinai with
the grace of a soul not restrained by the weight of its own importance.
FEAR OF THE LORD
"Fear the LORD, you HIS consecrated ones, for those who fear HIM lack
nothing. Lions have been reduced to starvation, but those who turn to
the LORD shall not lack any good. Come, my sons, listen to ME; I will
teach you what it is to fear the LORD." [Psalms (Tehillym) 34. 9 - 11
Tanakh, Kethuvim]
This acrostic psalm is a source for great comfort and encouragement.
The first section [Psalms/Tehillym 34. 1 - 7] consists of the testimony
of one who fears the LORD GOD; and the last section [Psalms/Tehillym 34.
16 - 22] describes the deliverance promised those who do fear HIM. It
is contrasted with the destinies of those who do not. In the center
section, David explains what it means to fear the LORD and invites all
to join him in obedience to this command.
The "fear of the LORD" is not so much an attitude as it is a life
commitment. "Who is the man who is eager for life, who desires years,
that he may see good?" [Psalms (Tehillym) 34. 12 Tanakh, Kethuvim] A
man who has an awesome fear of HOLY ETERNAL GOD has a hunger and zeal
for a long-life of ministry to others. "To die is gain." [Philippians
1. 21] Yes! . . . yet we should ask for length of days that we may have
abundant opportunities to "see and do good."
"Guard your tongue from evil, your lips from deceitful speech." [Psalms
(Tehillym) 34. 13 Tanakh, Kethuvim] We know that the tongue is capable
of incredible harm. The one who fears the FAITHFUL & TRUE WITNESS should
be characterized by a lifestyle of guarded speech. Not only is our
speech to be free from evil, but we are to "shun evil, and do good, seek
peace and integrity and pursue them" [Psalms/Tehillym 34. 14] in every
area of life. This should be our life's motive. Attaining peace may
not be easy, but we should strive in every attempt for it.
The results of such a lifestyle should be reward enough, but our
GRACIOUS & MAGNIFICENT HOLY LORD promises even more: "The ANGEL OF THE
LORD encamps around those that fear HIM, and rescues them." [Psalms
(Tehillym) 34. 7 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "Oh, how abundant is the great good
that YOU, O LORD, have in store for those who fear YOU, that YOU have
prepared to do in the full view of the sons of men for those who take
refuge in YOU." [Psalms (Tehillym) 31. 19 Tanakh, Kethuvim] May you be
encourage to seek the LORD and obey HIS ways.
Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
We bless, praise and glorify, exalt, extol and honour, magnify and laud
the NAME of the HOLY ONE. Blessed are YOU, LORD GOD, high above all the
blessings and hymns, praises and consolations, which are uttered in the
world. The grace of our LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH be with your spirit.
Yarim ha'Am Veyokhiakh Shedvaro Vetorato Omdim. This Hebrew decree
with the hidden name of MESSIAH reads — "HE will lift the people and
prove that HIS WORD and Law are valid."
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The wise reside in the "Tent of Learning."
FINAL REDEMPTION
"For a CHILD has been born to us, a SON has been given to us; and authority has settled on HiS shoulders. HE has been named WONDERFUL, COUNSELOR, the MIGHTY GOD, EVERLASTING FATHER, PRINCE OF PEACE." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 9. 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im]
The TANAKH (OLD COVENANT) tells that the hopes of Israel are centered on two great events — the coming of GOD'S Kingdom and the coming of the MAN, WHO would bring this Kingdom to pass. According to the TALMUD (a JEWISH COMMENTARY), Jews expected two MESSIAHS: MESSIAH ben'Yosef and MESSIAH ben'David. The Name of the MESSIAH was formed before the creation of the world: "Seven things were formed before the creation of the world — The Law, Repentance, Paradise, Sheol, the Throne of Glory, the Temple, and the NAME of the MESSIAH." [TALMUD, P'Sachim, fol. 54, col. 1]
This MAN would please ALMIGHTY GOD and would bring HIS people to rest and deliverance from their enemies. Thirty six prophets made predictions concerning the coming MESSIAH either about HIS birth, HIS SPIRIT, HIS miracles, HIS relationship with other peoples, HIS death, HIS resurrection, or about some other phase of HIS Life. This MAN, WHO fulfills the visions and hopes of the Prophets and the Psalmist is MESSIAH, JESUS OF NAZARETH (MESSIAH means ANOINTED ONE). The LORD YESHUA comes from the line of David, the line of Abraham, the line of Isaac, and the line of Jacob. It was prophesied that the MESSIAH would come from:
The Human Family of Adam — "I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her SEED; HE shall crush your head, and you will strike at HIS Heel." [Genesis (Bereshith) 3. 15 Tanakh, Torah]
The Race in the Line of Shem — "Blessed be the LORD, ELOHEY of Shem; let Canaan be a slave to them." [Genesis (Bereshith) 9. 25 Tanakh, Torah; 9:25–27 in other versions.]
The Patriarch Line of Abraham — "Abraham shall surely become a great, populous and mighty nation and all the nations of the earth are to be blessed in him." [Genesis (Bereshith) 18. 18 Tanakh, Torah]
The True Heir in the Lineage of Isaac — "I will bestow MY blessing upon you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars of heaven and the sands on the seashore; and your descendants shall seize the gates of their foes. All the nations of the earth shall bless themselves by your descendants, because you have obeyed MY command." [Genesis (Bereshith) 22. 18 - 19 Tanakh, Torah]
The National Line of Jacob — "I am the LORD, the GOD of your father Abraham and the GOD of Isaac, the ground on which you are lying I will assign to you and to your offspring. Your descendants shall be as the dust of the earth; you shall spread out to the west and to the east, to the north and to the south. All the families of the earth shall bless themselves by you and your descendants." [Genesis (Bereshith) 28. 13 - 14 Tanakh, Torah]
The Tribal Lineage of Judah — "The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a ruler's staff from between his feet, until SHILOH (MESSIAH YESHUA —Shiloh means "Peace & Security" which will be realized to the fullest when HE WHO is the EXACT IMAGE OF GOD) comes and tribute is to HIM; and the obedience of the people shall be HIS." [Genesis (Bereshith) 49. 10 Tanakh, Torah]
The Kingly Line of David — "The LORD swore to David a firm oath that HE will not renounce — One of your own issue I will set upon your throne." [Psalms (Tehillym) 132. 11 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
Many Jews, upon first arriving in the Promised Holy Land, go to the Western Wall (the Kotel) to pray and lament. They have yearned for the coming of ONE WHO would deliver them from their countless enemies and set up HIS EVERLASTING KINGDOM; only to be disappointed throughout the years, for false prophets have laid claim to the title of "THE ANOINTED ONE."
However, in searching HOLY SCRIPTURE, there can be no doubt as to WHOM MESSIAH is! From studying the GOSPELS we see that the HEBREW SCRIPTURES are often quoted by the PIERCED ONE describing HIMSELF in every detail! "And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, HE expounded to them in all the SCRIPTURES the things concerning HIMSELF." [Luke 24. 27] "Then HE said to them — These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Torah (LAW OF MOSES) and the Nevi'im (PROPHETS) and the Kethuvim (PSALMS/WRITINGS) concerning ME." [Luke 24. 44]
IF only a person would honestly look into HIS wonderfully amazing "Love Letter (THE HOLY BIBLE)" the HOLY ONE wrote and preserved in writing for us, they would find the riches in the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA for their own lives and understand our GREAT, PRECIOUS & LOVELY REDEEMING LORD GOD OF HEAVEN personally.
Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
As we bid farewell to Shabbas, our prayer is that GOD, WHO separates the holy from the secular, forgive our sins, guide our life, fill our upcoming week with HIS DIVINE PRESENCE.
Allow some of Sabbath's sweetness to flow from you to others that they are encouraged to take hold of the promises of the LORD GOD and know HE is in complete control.
You are in our hearts and daily prayers! Tov Shavua — Have a good week!
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 28 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Sat 14 May 2011, 9:58 am

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
When passion burns within you, remember that it was given to you for a
good purpose.
UNTIL IT PLEASES
"I adjure you, O maidens of Jerusalem, by gazelles or by hinds of the
field; do not wake or arouse love until it pleases!" [Song of Songs
(Shir ha'Shirim) 2. 7 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
CREATOR GOD , blessed be HE and blessed be HIS HOLY NAME, has such a
high view of sex that HE will not permit it to be cheapened by lust.
Therefore, not even acts of foreplay are permitted. Sexual passion must
be handled with utmost care and must not be aroused before its proper
time when it can be satisfied and fulfilled.
"Dearly beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from
fleshly lusts which war against the soul." [1 Peter 2. 11] The
commandments to "abstain, not to stir up, nor awaken love until its
proper time" is especially fitting and relevant for believing true
followers of CHRIST today. "For this is the will of GOD, for your
sanctification, that you should abstain from sexual immorality." [1
Thessalonians 4. 3] This applies to any type of sexual relationship
outside of marriage, and the commands are not merely for moderation or
for "love" in one's non-marital sexual relationships, but for total
abstinence. This warning is needed more today than any time since the
days of pagan Rome. We are also urgently warned to "abstain from
fleshly lusts" since these carnal desires are in a mortal battle with
our very souls. One must avoid situations which might initiate or
encourage forbidden sex or its similar activities.
We are commanded to "warn those who are unruly...abstain from ALL
appearance of evil" in every form. [1 Thessalonians 5. 14, 22] This
means anything that might appear to be evil, regardless of whether it is
really wrong in itself or not. The LORD MESSIAH YESHUA desires that we
"adorn the doctrine of GOD our SAVIOUR in all things" [Titus 2. 10] and
that we "give no offense in anything, that our ministry may not be
blamed." [2 Corinthians 6. 3]
A believer cannot afford to be careless in this warfare against his
soul. "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks
about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." [1 Peter 5. 8]
Sex is part of GOD'S creation with its related desires and pleasures,
and it is reasonable that HE would provide us with a guide to a pure
sexual relationship. "Whatever you do, do all to the glory of GOD." [1
Corinthians 10. 31] In all things, focus on the ways of wisdom, give
your ear to understanding that you may maintain as well as value
discretion, and your lips keep knowledge.
Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
The HOLY ONE was pleased, for HIS righteousness sake, to magnify the
TORAH and make it honorable; thus the wise will search it out. May the
LORD GOD hold you in the palm of HIS tender out-stretched hand and
direct your every step!
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Run to do even a slight precept and flee from transgression; for precept
draws precept in its train, and transgression draws transgression. The
recompense of a precept is life; but the recompense of a transgression
is death.
CHOSEN FEW
"Those who revere the LORD talked to one another. The LORD heard and
noted it, and a SCROLL OF REMEMBRANCE has been written at HIS order
concerning those who revere the LORD and esteem HIS NAME." [Malachi
(Malakhi) 3. 16 Tanakh, Nevi'im]
The truly faithful followers of the MIGHTY CREATOR GOD have usually been
only a "remnant whom the LORD calls" [Joel/Yoel 2. 32] the "little
flock" to whom is the "FATHER'S good pleasure to give the Kingdom."
[Luke 12. 32]
Before the Great Flood, "while the ark was being prepared" there were
"few, that is eight souls, saved through water." [1 Peter 3. 20] And
in regards to the children of Israel: "The LORD your GOD chose you to
be HIS treasured people. It was not because you are the most numerous of
people that the LORD set HIS heart on you and chose you—indeed, you
are the smallest of all peoples." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 7. 7 Tanakh,
Torah] Gideon's army had to be reduced from 32,000 to 300 before the
ALMIGHTY ONE would let them fight the 135,000 Midianites.
[Judges/Shofetim 7. 3 - 6; 8. 10] In Elijah's day, there were only
7,000 out of the millions of Israelites who had "not knelt to Baal or
kissed him with their mouth." [1 Kings (Melakhim Alef) 19. 18 Tanakh,
Nevi'im]
YESHUA, the MESSIAH LORD & KING said, "Narrow is the gate and difficult
is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it." [Matthew
7. 14] "For many are called, but few are chosen." [Matthew 22. 14]
Even among the few who are saved, "the laborers are few." [Luke 10. 2]
Thanks be to GOD ALMIGHTY, there are a few! In Malachi's day almost all
the people and priests deserted the MAKER; but there was a small,
faithful, believing remnant as was Levi who "feared the LORD and was
reverent to HIS NAME." [Malachi (Malakhi) 2. 5 Tanakh, Nevi'im]
Concerning these few, "They shall be MINE, says the LORD OF HOSTS, on
that Day that I am preparing, they shall be MY treasured
possession.. .you shall come to see the difference between the righteous
and the wicked, between him who has served the LORD and him who has not
served HIM." [Malachi (Malakhi) 3. 17 - 18 Tanakh, Nevi'im] We may be
strangers and pilgrims here, but we will be the GREAT KING'S OWN
treasured possession there! HalleluYAH!! What a day that will be as we
enter the joy of our BELOVED LORD JESUS!
Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Welcome Shabbat – Queen of the week! Let us celebrate the Bride by
removing ourselves from the ordinary and enter the holiness of Shabbat.
We bless YOU above all MOST HOLY LORD GOD, with hymns, praises and
consolations that may be uttered in this world as we enter YOUR Sabbath
Rest.
May peace abundant descend from heaven with life for us and to all
Israel. Amen
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The fruit of a lie is rotten before it is ripe.
SPIRITUAL WARDROBE
"Therefore, as the elect of GOD, holy and beloved, put on tender
mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one
another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against
another; even as CHRIST forgave you, so you also must do. But above all
these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the
peace of GOD rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one
body; and, be thankful." [Colossians 3. 12 - 15]
The command to put on (Hebrew: labash) means to wrap around, to clothe
entirely is an urgent demand or request, for a thing which must begin
immediately. We know that kindness, humility of mind, meekness, and
long-suffering are fruits of the HOLY SPIRIT'S work in our lives. But
this phrasing — "put on" strongly suggests that an act of the will
is involved. We are to choose to be kind, merciful, humble, meek,
patient, forgiving, to love, and maintain the peace of GOD OMNIPOTENT in
our hearts and lives. When we go to HIM for forgiveness, HE is willing
to forgive AS WE ASK HIM. Repentance is necessary; forgiveness is never
granted as a blanket free-for-all forgiveness. This is the example the
LORD JESUS set and we are to follow HIS example.
Our LORD & KING, YESHUA ha'MASHIACH reminded the first century Jews and
CHRIST-like- ones that these choices are more important than our physical
clothing, "Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what
you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will
put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?"
[Matthew 6. 25]
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication,
with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to GOD; and the peace
of GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and
minds through CHRIST JESUS. Finally, brethren, whatever things are TRUE,
whatever things are NOBLE, whatever things are JUST, whatever things are
PURE, whatever things are LOVELY, whatever things are of GOOD REPORT, if
there is any VIRTUE and if there is anything PRAISE WORTHY —
meditate on these things." [Philippians 4. 6 - 8]
We should be more kind, loving, humble, meek, patient and forgiving so
our lives will manifest the peace of GOD ALMIGHTY and the great love of
MESSIAH YESHUA, the LORD will shine even brighter in this sin-darkened
world.
Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
YOURS, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, the glory, and the
victory, and the majesty; for all that is in the heavens and in the
earth is YOURS; YOURS is the Kingdom, O LORD, and YOU are exalted as
head above all. All praise and honour are do YOU forever.
Blessings to all who love Zion!
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
It is better to have feelings without words than words without feeling.
FOUR WINDS
"Behold, HE WHO formed mountains, and creates the wind, and declares to
man what HIS thought is, WHO turns black darkness into daybreak, and
treads upon the high places of the earth — HIS NAME is the LORD, the
GOD OF HOSTS." [Amos (Amus) 4. 13 Tanakh, Nevi'im]
These are some wondrous works of HIM WHO is perfect in knowledge! Even
the winds obey HIM. [Matthew 8. 27; Luke 8. 25] "At the sound of HIS
VOICE, there is a rumbling of water in the skies; HE makes vapors rise
from the ends of the earth, HE makes lightning for the rain, HE brings
forth wind from HIS treasuries." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 10. 13; 51. 16
Tanakh, Nevi'im] "Whatever the LORD desires HE does in heaven and in
earth, in the seas and all the depths. HE makes clouds rise from the end
of the earth; HE makes lightning for the rain; HE releases the wind from
HIS vaults." [Psalms (Tehillym) 135. 6 - 7 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
Mighty are the ways of the AWESOME CREATOR, controlling even the
elements in the four corners of the earth for HIS purpose and plan:
EAST WIND - (Hebrew: qadiym ruwach) The East wind is the most often
mentioned in HOLY SCRIPTURE; it is stormy, wrecks ships, and withers
growing things. "So Moses held out his rod over the land of Egypt, and
the LORD drove an east wind on the land…and when morning came the
east wind had brought the locusts." [Exodus (Shemot) 10. 13 Tanakh,
Torah] "Like the east wind, I will scatter them before the enemy. I
will show them MY back and not MY face in their day of disaster."
[Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 18. 17 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "They all come, bent on
destruction; their faces are set like the east wind, and they amass
captives like sand." [Habakkuk 1. 9 Tanakh, Nevi'im]
WEST WIND - (Hebrew: yam ruwach) The West wind blew away the plague of
locusts. "The LORD caused a shift to a very strong west wind, which
lifted the locusts and hurled them into the Red Sea; not a single locust
remained in all the territory of Egypt." [Exodus (Shemot) 10. 19 Tanakh,
Torah]
NORTH WIND - (Hebrew: tsaphown ruwach) The North wind brings rain,
refreshing or stormy. "The north wind brings forth rain." [Proverbs
(Mishle) 25. 23 Tanakh, Torah] "Awake, O north wind! Come, O south
wind! Blow upon my garden, that its perfume may spread." [Song of Songs
(Shir Ha'Shirm) 4. 16 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "I looked, and lo, a stormy
wind came sweeping out of the north." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 1. 4 Tanakh,
Nevi'im]
SOUTH WIND - (Hebrew: darowm ruwach) The south wind is gentle and helps
growth. "(Do you know) why your clothes become hot when HE quiets the
earth by the south wind?" [Job (Iyob) 37. 17 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "HE set
the east wind to blow in heaven, and brought in the south wind by HIS
might." [Psalms (Tehillym) 78. 26 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "Awake, O north
wind, Come, O south wind! Make my garden breathe out fragrance, that its
spices may flow out. May my beloved come into his garden and eat its
luscious choice fruits." [Song of Songs/Shir Ha'Shirm 4. 16] "As for
man, his days are like those of grass; he blooms like a flower of the
field; a wind passes by and it is gone, and its place no longer knows
it. But the LORD'S mercy is for all eternity toward those who fear HIM,
and HIS righteousness is for the children's children of those who keep
HIS Covenant and remember to observe HIS precepts." [Psalms (Tehillym)
103. 15 - 18 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
And some glorious day, the MOST HOLY LORD GOD ALMIGHTY "will send HIS
angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together
HIS elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other."
[Matthew 24. 31] That is the day the redeemed of the LORD are all
looking for. What a magnificently glorious day that will be!
HalleluYAH!
Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Shalom U'Vrakah (Peace & Blessings) Lift your head up high and rejoice,
our GOD reigns!
OMNIPOTENT LORD GOD, we give you thanks and praise for your invisible
hand that guides our lives and in the mist of turmoil, gives perfect
peace from YOUR High Place. We look to YOU alone for our help. YOUR
GREAT NAME is blessed forever and to all eternity.
The LORD GOD be with each of you this day and always is our prayer!

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
"Hope" is the only medicine for the miserable.
THE WAY
"JESUS said — I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE. No one comes to
the FATHER except through ME." [John 14. 6]
This verse is clearly one of the most loved verses in HOLY SCRIPT.
Intensely emphatic it states that there is no other way to come to the
FATHER except through the LORD JESUS. And, there is no truth other then
what is found and centered on YESHUA. In HIM alone is eternal life
bestowed to the believer through faith.
All who teach otherwise are "thieves and robbers" of the soul, for
MESSIAH YESHUA alone is "THE DOOR." [John 10. 8 - 9] The ONLY-BEGOTTEN
SON OF GOD is the GREAT SHEPHERD of the sheep, the only DOOR or WAY to
heaven. The LORD JESUS is "The LIGHT of the world" [John 8. 12] to a
world otherwise blackened by sin's ominous darkness. "For it is GOD WHO
commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to
give the light of the knowledge of the Glory of GOD in the face of JESUS
CHRIST." [2 Corinthians 4. 6] The BELOVED SON OF GOD, YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH, is the unique MAGNIFICENT ONE WHO is "the brightness of
HIS (GOD THE FATHER) glory and the EXPRESS IMAGE of HIS PERSON."
[Hebrews 1. 3]
The SON OF MAN, the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA, is "the BREAD of Life from
GOD...the LIVING BREAD that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of
this BREAD, he will live forever; and the BREAD that I shall give is MY
flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world." [John 6. 48, 51]
JESUS, the MIGHTY I AM , the LIVING WORD OF GOD, is the only Eternal
LIFE-SUSTAINING Food for the hungry soul.
The HORN OF DAVID, YESHUA ha'MASHIACH is the revealed "Living
Water." HE bids, "if anyone thirsts, let him come to ME and drink. He
who believes in ME, as the SCRIPTURE has said, out of his heart will
flow rivers of living water." [John 7. 37 - 38] Only the LORD YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH can satisfy the thirsty soul.
The Lord Yeshua is the "TRUE VINE" in Whom we must abide or we are
worthless and will surely fail. "I am the True Vine...I am the VINE,
you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much
fruit; for without Me you can do nothing." [John 15. 1, 5]
Evidence of the Scriptures make it abundantly clear that there is
salvation in none other "for there is no other name under heaven given
among men by which we must be saved." [Acts 4. 12] "Everyone who
invokes the NAME OF THE LORD shall escape (be saved)." [Joel (Yoel) 2.
32 Tanakh, Nevi'im]
The LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH is the All-Sufficient Way, the Perfect Way,
the Only Way and all who want to come, can come to GOD THE FATHER
through HIM. There is no other way, but through the PRECIOUS LORD JESUS
CHRIST. How wondrously amazing!
Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Oh that men were wise, that they would consider their latter end!!!
Exalted and hallowed be GOD'S greatness in this world of YOUR creation.
May YOUR will be fulfilled and YOUR sovereignty revealed in the days of
our lifetime and the life of the whole House of Israel speedily and in
our time, Amen. May YOU be blessed forever, even to all eternity. May
YOU, MOST HOLY ONE, be blessed, praised & honoured, extolled &
glorified, adored & exalted above all else. Blessed are YOU beyond all
blessings & hymns, praises & consolations that may be uttered in this
world, Amen. O that peace abundant would descend from heaven with life
for us and to all Israel, Amen.
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
"We (Israel) are great, and our foibles are great, and therefore our
troubles are great — but our consolations will also be great."
[Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak HaCohen Kook]

ISRAEL'S INDEPENDENCE DAY
"Can a land give birth in a single day? Or shall a nation be born all at
once? Yet Zion travailed and at once bore her children! Shall I WHO
bring on labor not bring about birth? — says the LORD. Shall I who
cause delivery shut up the womb? — says your GOD. Rejoice with
Jerusalem and be glad with her, all you who love her! Join in her
jubilation, all you who mourn over her — that you may suck from her
breast consolation to the fill, that you may drink deeply from her bosom
and be delighted with the abundance of her glory." [Isaiah (Yeshayah)
66. 8 – 11 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Command to Settle the Land of Israel: On the 5ht day of Iyar, 5708 (May
14, 1948), when the establishment of the State of Israel was declared,
the Nation of Israel merited to fulfill the TORAH'S command to
settle the Land of Promise. Individual Jews lived in the Land prior to
this, it is true, but the commandment applies to the entire nation,
which is bidden to bring the Land under Jewish sovereignty. [see
Deuteronomy/ Devarim 11 &.31; Numbers/Midbar 33 & 53; & Nachmanides'
Commentary]

Jewish Law, in fact, rules that the obligation to mourn destroyed cities
in the Land of Israel is dependent on Jewish sovereignty.

The Beginning of Redemption & Sanctification of GOD'S NAME: The
establishment of the State of Israel removed the disgrace of Exile. For
generation after generation, we wandered in the Diaspora, we suffered
terrible humiliation and pogroms, we were a subject of mockery among the
nations, and we were subject to mass slaughter. Observers saw us and
said there was no hope for us. This was a situation of terrible —
desecration of GOD'S NAME — for "you [Israel] are called by GOD'S
NAME." [Deuteronomy/ Devarim 28]

GOD'S HOLY WORD, as prophesied in so many places in the BIBLE, was that
HE would return us to the Land. But with the passing of so many
centuries in which this was not fulfilled, the desecration of GOD'S NAME
increased, and Israel's enemies concluded that Israel would never
return. And then the miracle happened [in 1948], and GOD'S WORD was
fulfilled. This was a great sanctification of GOD'S NAME, and it became
even stronger during the Six Day War when we liberated Jerusalem and the
holy cities in Judea and Samaria.

This process of the Ingathering of the Exiles and the flowering of the
desert is the beginning of the promised Redemption. As the Talmud
states, "There is no clearer sign of the Redemption than this, as is
written in the Book of Ezekiel (36:8) — "But you, O mountains of
Israel, shall yield your produce and bear your fruit for MY people
Israel, for their return is near." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 36. 8 Tanakh,
Nevi'im]

Yes, there is still much to improve and put right; unfortunately, we
have not all merited to do teshuvah [return, repentance] and move to the
Land of Israel. But our Sages have taught that there are two types of
Redemption — full repentance leading to miraculous Redemption, and
the type that takes place through natural processes, accompanied by
great difficulties and hardships. These will cause the Jewish People to
return home — and thus we will progress, step by step, until the
Complete Redemption.

Jewish Salvation: On Independence Day 1948, the Jewish Nation was saved.
It went from a state of subservience to the nations, to one of political
freedom. We also went from a situation of potential death, in that we
were unable to defend ourselves from our mortal enemies, to one of life,
because since that time we have fought our enemies and, with the help of
ALMIGHTY GOD, emerged victorious.

Some 21,000 Jews have been killed in the 60 years since the State was
established — but just a few years before that, during the
Holocaust, six million holy Jews were murdered over the course of just
five years — a rate of nearly 3,500 times more.

This day was a salvation even for Jews living in the Diaspora, in that
they now had a country that would always be able to take them in, and
even works on their behalf in the international arena. Even the
Communist regimes were forced to allow Jews to leave — something
that would have been inconceivable before the State of Israel was
established.

Spiritual Relief: Spiritually, as well, the Jewish People were saved by
the State of Israel. For various reasons, a great spiritual crisis
overtook the Jewish People over the past 200 years, and as countries
modernized, the Jews became more assimilated. In the US, for instance,
most young Jews marry non-Jews, and those who marry Jews have relatively
few children. The Jewish communities abroad are thus getting smaller
and smaller. Only in the State of Israel is the Jewish population
growing, and assimilation is relatively sparse.

Furthermore, the percentage of Jews in Israel who are connected to Torah
and an observant lifestyle is larger than in any other Jewish
concentration in the world. This spiritual salvation was the result of
the establishment of the State of Israel, which enabled the Ingathering
of the Exiles and obviated the lures of world-wide assimilation.

Thus, Israel Independence Day is thus decorated with three layers of
holiness: the holiness of the commandment of settling the Land; the
holiness of the Sanctification of GOD'S NAME and the beginning of the
Redemption; and the holiness of the physical and spiritual salvation of
the Jewish People and blessings to the whole world when they turn to
MESSIAH YESHUA.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Obedience will be righteousness for us, as we are careful to observe all
the commandments of the LORD our GOD. May you witness the care, love
and presence of the MOST HOLY ONE this day and always.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 28 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Sun 08 May 2011, 10:59 am

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
In the beginning GOD wished to render justice, but when HE observed that
the world could not rest on justice, HE rendered mercy. [TALMUD, Rosh
ha'Shanah 17]

GOSPEL PREACHED TO THE WORLD
"He who endures to the end shall be saved. And the GOSPEL of the Kingdom
will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and
then the end will come." [Matthew 24. 12 - 14]

The MOST HIGH GOD OF HEAVEN is faithful in all things. "There is no
other god besides ME, a JUST GOD and a SAVIOR; no god exists besides ME.
Turn to ME, and be saved, all ends of the earth! For I am GOD, and there
is none else." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 45. 21 – 22 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The SOVEREIGN ETERNAL ONE desires that none be lost, and all come to the
knowledge of the truth in saving faith. [1 Timothy 2. 4] "So HE became
their SAVIOR. In all their troubles HE was afflicted, HIS OWN PRESENCE
delivered them; in HIS love and in HIS pity HE redeemed them; and HE
bore them and carried them all the days of old." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 63.
8 – 9 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "The STONE that the builders rejected has
become the CHIEF CORNERSTONE. This was the LORD'S doing; it is marvelous
in our sight." [Psalms (Tehillym) 118. 22 - 23 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Men were given the privilege of sharing the WONDROUS LIFE-GIVING MESSAGE
that whoever believed would be saved. This GOOD NEWS had gone out from
Judea, Samaria, then into the uttermost parts of the world, and
continues today. The HOLY LORD has always had devoted followers with
hearts willing to complete the great commission, which is still to "Go
into all the world and preach the GOSPEL to every creature!" [Mark 16.
15]

The prophets, apostles, disciples, missionaries and modern-day world
evangelism thought the Word had been spread completely by their teaching
on radio, internet and television. However, the ALMIGHTY let it be
known that it still is not complete. As you read the Book of
Revelation, you find that GOD HIMSELF will be the ONE to assure the task
is complete, for HE shows the way it will be accomplished HIS perfect
and complete way.

Two Witnesses: The FAITHFUL & TRUE, the AUTHOR & FINISHER of our faith
affirms: "And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will
prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.
These are the two olive trees and the two lamp stands standing before
the God of the earth." [Revelation 11. 3 - 4] When they finish their
testimony, the beast from the bottomless pit will make war on them and
kill them, but after three days, the BREATH OF LIFE from GOD will enter
them and they will ascend into heaven in a cloud. [Revelation 11. 7 -
14]

144,000 Jewish Witnesses: The SAVIOUR OF OLD has 144,000 un-defiled,
virgin Jewish men "who follow the Lamb wherever HE goes. These were
redeemed by MESSIAH from among men being first-fruits to GOD and to the
LAMB. And in their mouth was found no guile, for they are without fault
before the Throne of GOD." [Revelation 14. 4 – 5; 7. 1 - 8]

Remnant of the Woman's Seed: Again in Revelation we see that those who
are left behind, will overcome Satan, the Accuser, by "the blood of the
Lamb and by the word of their testimony" for they did not love their
lives to the death. [Revelation 12. 11]

Three Angels' Announcement: "Then I saw another angel flying in the
midst of heaven, having the EVERLASTING GOSPEL to preach to those who
dwell on the earth — to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people
saying with a loud voice — Fear GOD and give glory to HIM, for the
hour of HIS judgment has come; and worship HIM WHO made heaven and
earth, the sea and springs of water.'" [Revelation 14. 6 - 7]
"And another angel followed, saying — Babylon is fallen, is
fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the
wine of the wrath of her fornication. '"
"Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, 'If
anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his
forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the
wrath of GOD, which is poured out full strength into the cup of HIS
indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the
presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the LAMB."
[Revelation 14. 8 - 10]

May each of us be found faithful doing our HEAVENLY FATHER'S business
when HE comes. . . for the crowns we will win, is the souls of men:
"Therefore, my beloved and longed-for brethren, my joy and crown, so
stand fast in the LORD, beloved." [Philippians 4. 1] "For what is our
hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence
of our LORD JESUS CHRIST at HIS coming? For you are our glory and joy."
[1 Thessalonians 2. 19 - 20]

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Good Sabbath! Those who keep Sabbath and call it a delight shall rejoice
in GOD'S Kingdom. Through the common days flow the refreshing waters of
GOD'S loving-kindness, yet we forget THE SOURCE. May this hour awaken
within us a sense of our dependence upon YOU. Create in us a clean heart
and renew a right spirit within us that we may face our daily duty with
a firm courage and a tranquil mind. May we learn to know that in loving
and serving our fellowmen, we are loving and serving YOU, O MERCIFUL
ONE. May the spirit of the Sabbath fill our life with its blessed peace
through YOUR PRECIOUS SON, YESHUA THE CHRIST. Amen.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A tradesman at his task need not rise before the most learned teacher.
ATTRIBUTES OF PRAYER
"When YOU hear the supplications that YOUR servant and YOUR people,
Israel, offer toward this place, give heed in YOUR heavenly abode —
give heed and pardon." [2 Chronicles (Dibre Hayamin Bet) 6. 21 Tanakh,
Kethuvim]
In Solomon's "Prayer of Dedication" for the Temple he petitions the
GREAT SOVEREIGN GOD OF ISRAEL at least eight times to "hear from
heaven." [2 Chronicles/Dibre Hayamin Bet 6. 21, 23, 25, 27, 30, 33, 35,
39] But how can GOD hear our prayers, especially those uttered in
silence? The Answer: GOD is Omniscience (all-knowing) , Omnipresence
(always everywhere) and Omnipotent (all-powerful) . Even though the HOLY
ONE is on HIS Heavenly Throne, HE is also right here with us and in us,
as we allow! David prayed, "O LORD, YOU have examined me and know me.
YOU understand my thoughts from afar." [Psalms (Tehillym) 139. 1 - 2
Tanakh, Kethuvim] The ALMIGHTY ETERNAL MASTER can and does hear our
prayers. "Shall HE WHO implants the ear not hear? HE that formed the
eye not see?" [Psalms (Tehillym) 94. 9 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
In a manner of speaking, the GREAT GOD OF ISRAEL hears the prayers of
HIS redeemed today even more directly than in David's time; for we, who
trust MESSIAH YESHUA, have been indwelt by the HOLY SPIRIT OF TRUTH.
"As GOD has said — I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will
be their GOD, and they shall be MY people." [2 Corinthians 6. 16] "The
eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and HIS ears are open to their
prayers; but the face of the LORD is against those who do evil." [1
Peter 3. 12]
The TRUE & LIVING GOD OF HEAVEN irrefutably can hear our prayers. But,
there comes a time when HE refuses to hear! "Had I an evil thought in
my mind, the LORD would not have listened." [Psalm (Tehillym) 66. 18
Tanakh, Kethuvim] "No, the LORD'S arm is not too short to save; or HIS
ear too dull to hear; but your iniquities have been a barrier between
you and your GOD. Your sins have made HIM turn HIS face away and refuse
to hear you." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 59. 1 - 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im]
If we first "Live as HE requires" — then we can confidently ask
anything according to HIS will and "HE hears us. And if we know that HE
hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we
have asked of HIM." [1 John 5. 14 - 15]
Now is the time of salvation! Awake! You that are sleepy and ponder
your deeds; Remember your CREATOR and go To Him for forgiveness. Don't
be like those who miss reality in their hunt after shadows and waste
your years in seeking after vain things which can neither profit nor
deliver. Look well to your soul and consider your deeds; let each one of
you forsake his evil ways and thoughts, and return to the LORD GOD so HE
may have mercy on you. The LORD JESUS is waiting, even now!
Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Create in me a pure heart, O my GOD, and renew a right sprit in within
me!
I humbly bow before the ALMIGHTY & TRUE LORD GOD and thank and praise
HIM for the goodness HE lavishes on those who trust in HIM alone.
Praised is the GREAT GOD of our fathers, the MIGHTY & REVERED ONE, the
MOST HIGH GOD WHO imparts living-kindness on all creatures; and in love,
redeemed us for HIS NAME'S sake. We delight in YOU, O SOVEREIGN
ONE, our KING, HELPER, SAVIOR and PROTECTOR. Praised are YOU, O LORD,
my ROCK and my REDEEMER WHO rules in holiness.
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A baby enters the world with closed hands; and a person leaves the world
with open hands. The first says —The world is mine. The second says
—I can take nothing with me. [Midrash: Ecclesiastes Rabbah]
STRONG DELUSIONS
"And for this reason GOD will send them strong delusion, that they
should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not
believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. " [2 Thessalonians
2. 11 - 12]
The reason the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY sends such extremely deceptive
delusions is given plainly in verse — "because they did not receive
the love of the truth, that they might be saved." [2 Thessalonians 2.
10] Since men of corrupt minds abound in "resisting the truth" [2
Timothy 3. 8], they will believe the lie, and perish.
The WRITTEN WORD OF GOD tells that HIS attitude toward men is based
individually on their love of the truth, rather than by their knowledge
of the truth. When people love GOD'S Truth, there is no limit to the
blessings they may receive from HIM. Observe the heart of the
psalmist: "How pleasing is YOUR WORD to my taste, sweeter than honey to
my mouth!" [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 103 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "YOUR decrees
are my eternal heritage; they are my hearts joy and delight. I am
resolved to follow YOUR Laws forever." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 111 - 112
Tanakh, Kethuvim] "Rightly do I love YOUR commands more than gold, more
even than fine gold. I declare all YOUR precepts to be just, I hate
every false way." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 127 - 128 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
"I long for YOUR salvation, O LORD, and YOUR Law is my delight. Let me
live that I may praise YOU; may YOUR Laws sustain me." [Psalms
(Tehillym) 119. 174 - 175 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
However, when people begin to exhibit a disdain for the HOLY ONE'S open
honesty and HIS righteousness, there will soon come a time in their
lives when they find it impossible even to comprehend the all-important
truth of GOD'S SAVING GOOD NEWS. They deny creation, salvation, and
reconciliation through Christ alone, even denying the judgment of hell
and the Lake of Fire. Now study the contrasting SCRIPTURES — "They
profess that they know GOD; but in works they deny HIM, being
abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate." [Titus
1. 16] "And even as they did not like to retain GOD in their knowledge,
GOD gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not
convenient; being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication,
wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate,
deceit, malignity; whisperers, backbiters, haters of GOD, despiteful,
proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection,
implacable, unmerciful: who knowing the judgment of GOD, that they which
commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have
pleasure in them that do them." [Romans 1. 28 – 32]
As a result of their degenerate way of thinking and doing, rejecting
the love of GOD'S WAY, TRUTH & LIFE, a blindness gradually engulfs their
minds until they love the deceptive values of the world allowing this
destruction to engulf them and collapse on them. They are "always
learning but never able to acknowledge the truth." [2 Timothy 37] How
very vitally important it is to receive the free-gift of GOD by
believing the extended and tender love of HIS TRUTH. Be a
sweet-smelling fragrance, an aroma of life to the LORD OF HOSTS among
those who are perishing. Don't put it off, now is the accepted time,
tomorrow may be too late.
Sha'alu (pray) for the Shalom (peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
The sword comes into the world because of justice being delayed, because
of justice being perverted, and because of those who render wrong
decisions. When things around you appear dark and terrifying, hold on
to the promises of the MOST HOLY ONE. HE is in complete control. "The
ROCK! — HIS deeds are perfect; Yea, all HIS ways are just; a
FAITHFUL GOD, never false, true and just is HE." [Deuteronomy/ Devarim
32. 4]
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 28 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Tue 03 May 2011, 12:58 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
No arrow is sharper than an evil, dishonest tongue.

I AM YOUR GOD
"Then HE (CREATOR GOD) said to him (Abraham), I AM the LORD WHO brought
you out from Ur of the Chaldeans to give this land to you as a
possession." [Genesis (Bereshith) 15. 7 Tanakh, Torah]

This is one of seven I Am's in the BOOK OF GENESIS. "I Am a SHIELD to
you; your EXCEEDING GREAT REWARD." [Genesis (Bereshith) 15. 1 Tanakh,
Torah] The others, however, are all Names and Titles of ALMIGHTY GOD
where YEHOWAH (the ONE & ONLY ALMIGHTY CREATOR GOD) identifies HIMSELF
as the "I AM."

"I AM EL SHADDAI (GOD ALMIGHTY - THE NOURISHING SUSTAINER)." [Genesis
(Bereshith) 17. 1; 35. 11 Tanakh, Torah] "I Am the GOD of Abraham your
father. Fear not, for I Am with you." [Genesis (Bereshith) 26. 24
Tanakh, Torah] "I AM the LORD, the GOD of your father Abraham and the
GOD of Isaac." [Genesis (Bereshith) 28. 13 Tanakh, Torah] "I AM the GOD
of BETH-EL (House of GOD)." [Genesis (Bereshith) 31. 13 Tanakh, Torah]

In Exodus, ETERNAL GOD states that HE is the great I Am in at least
twenty-one different places. Most of these are merely variations of the
different Names of GOD as in the I Am of Genesis/Bereshith; but six give
new insight to our wonderful HOLY CREATOR. The ALMIGHTY ONE identifies
HIMSELF to Moses as "I AM that I AM" or "I AM WHO I AM" or "I will be
what I will be (EHYAH 'ASHER EHYAH)." [Exodus (Shemot) 3. 14 Tanakh,
Torah] "I Am the LORD in the midst of the land." [Exodus (Shemot) 8.
22 Tanakh, Torah] "I Am the LORD your HEALER." [Exodus (Shemot) 15. 26
Tanakh, Torah] "I the LORD your GOD am an IMPASSIONED JEALOUS GOD."
[Exodus (Shemot) 20. 5 Tanakh, Torah] "I AM compassionate. " [Exodus
(Shemot) 22. 27 Tanakh, Torah] "I Am the LORD that consecrated you."
[Exodus (Shemot) 31. 13 Tanakh, Torah]

In the remaining books of the HOLY SCRIPTURES, the phrase "I Am the LORD
your GOD" occurs frequently, but there are two important new I Am
statements: "I Am Holy" [Leviticus/Vayikra1 1. 45] and "I Am your PORTION
and your INHERITANCE. " [Numbers/B'Midvar) 18. 20] The wonderful theme
of all these attributes and names of GOD is that the MIGHTY, HOLY GOD OF
HEAVEN & EARTH is a caring, personal GOD WHO'S love is unfathomable and
without end. HE zealously desires a personal, intimate relationship
with each of us.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
With great love YOU loved us, O our GOD, and with exceeding compassion
YOU shoulder and shelter us. Our fathers believed and trusted in YOU;
therefore YOU taught them the Laws of Life and showed them the way of
wisdom. We ask YOU, O MERCIFUL SAVIOR to grant us discernment, that we
may understand and fulfill all the teachings of YOUR WORD. Make us glad
and obedient to YOUR commandments and fill our hearts with love and
reverence and awe of YOU. In YOU we put our trust; we rejoice and
delight in YOUR help, for with YOU alone is salvation. YOU called us as
teachers of YOUR Law; chosen us for a holy mission to mankind; therefore
do we joyfully lift up our voices and proclaim the beauty of YOUR
holiness. Praised are YOU, O GOD, WHO chose YOUR people everywhere in
love.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
When the scoundrel is spared, he learns not righteousness.

RESURRECTION
"O let YOUR dead revive! Together with MY dead body they shall arise!
Awake and shout for joy, you who dwell in the dust! — For your dew
is like the dew of fresh growth; you make the land of the shades come to
life." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 26. 19 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Although the cultic doctrine of the Sadducees, at the time of MESSIAH
YESHUA, denied a bodily resurrection [Matthew 22. 23], the Israelites of
the OLD COVENANT knew different. For the promise has always been known
to the people of GOD MOST HIGH.

Long before Isaiah's time the Prophet Job claimed, "I know that my
VINDICATOR lives. In the end hE will testify on earth — this, after
my skin has been destroyed. But I will behold GOD in my flesh, I myself,
not another, will see hIM." [Job (Iyob) 19. 25 – 27 Tanakh,
Kethuvim] And Ezekiel tells of the valley of the dry bones that the
LORD caused to come together, made breath enter, were made to breathe,
attach tendons to, make flesh come upon, covered with skin, and caused
them to live. [Ezekiel/Yehezke- El 37. 1 - 14]

Daniel records: "Many of those that sleep in the dust of the earth will
awake, some to eternal life, others to reproach, shame and everlasting
abhorrence. Those who are wise will be radiant like the bright expanse
of sky, and those who lead the many to righteousness will be like the
stars forever and ever." [Daniel (Danyel) 12. 2 – 3 Tanakh,
Kethuvim] Such promises were not referring to some uncertain or vague
immortality of the soul, as taught in pagan and cultic religions, but to
the literal resurrection of the body!

The LOVING MASTER DESIGNER must first become MAN, die for the sins of
the world and defeat death by HIS OWN BODILY resurrection. This was the
message in the OLD COVENANT that believers would be raised "together
with mY dead body." When "the graves were opened; and many bodies of the
saints who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out of the graves
after HIS resurrection, they went into the Holy City and appeared to
many" [Matthew 27. 52 - 53], this was literally fulfilled.

Then, when JESUS, the PRINCE OF PEACE ascended to heaven, HE led those
who had been in captivity in the grave with HIM into heaven. All who
have trusted the LORD JESUS will likewise be raised from the dead when
HE comes again. YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, the EVERLASTING KING OF GLORY,
has defeated death and promised, "Because I live, you will live also."
[John 14. 19] HalleluYAH!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
As we bid farewell to Shabbath, our prayer is that GOD, WHO separates
the holy from the secular, forgive our sins. We share the blessed hope
that every day will be as sweet as Shabbat...a rest of love freely given
in truth and sincerity – a rest in peace and tranquility, quiet and
safety – a perfect rest in which you find favour of the LORD YESHUA!
Tov Shavua! ("Have a good week!")

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The best way to get even is to forgive, and let the LORD handle it!

MESSIAH'S SECOND COMING
"As I looked on, in the night vision, ONE like the SON OF MAN, came with
the clouds of heaven! HE came to the ANCIENT OF DAYS and was presented
to HIM. Dominion, glory and kingdom were given to HIM; all peoples and
nations of every language must serve HIM. HIS dominion is an everlasting
dominion, that shall not pass away, and HIS kingship, one that shall not
be destroyed." [Daniel (Danyel) 7. 13 - 14 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The first time YESHUA, the WORD-MADE-FLESH, came, HE walked the earth in
humiliation; the second time HE is coming in a blaze of glory! The
first time JESUS came to die; the second time HE will come to judge and
reign. The first time the SON OF MAN came to redeem; when HE returns,
the LORD JESUS will claim those HE has redeemed. YESHUA came once that
HIS heel might be bruised by Satan; the RIGHTEOUS ONE must come again to
crush the serpent's head and with a rod-of-iron to dash HIS enemies to
pieces. YESHUA ha'MASHIACH came once to wear a crown of thorns. It
is prophesied that HE will come again to wear the diadem of universal
dominion. The first time, nails were hammered through HIS hands. When
HE returns HE will grasp the "SCEPTER OF SOVEREIGNTY" and shall reign
forever!

Orthodox Jewish theology teaches that there will be two MESSIAHS. The
first ONE (MESSIAH BEN'YOSEF) is to be from the House of Joseph WHO
will be killed as HE leads Israel against the invading army who came
against the land of Israel. [Ezekiel/Yehezke- El 38 - 39] And, after the
Jewish people repent, ALMIGHTY GOD will provide the second MESSIAH
(MESSIAH BEN'DAVID)from the House of David WHO will bring peace and
righteousness to the nation. The ancient Jewish commentators explain the
two descriptions of MESSIAH in the TANAKH (JEWISH OLD COVENANT) —
where HE is described as lowly and WHO will be pierced to death.
"Rejoice greatly! Fair Zion; Shout! Fair Jerusalem! Behold, your KING is
coming to you. HE is victorious, triumphant and having salvation, yet
humble, riding on an ass, on a donkey foaled by a she-ass...And I will
fill the House of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem with the SPIRIT
of grace and pity, compassion and supplication; then they shall look on
ME WHOM they have pierced; they will lament because of ME about those
who are slain, wailing over them as over a favorite son, showing bitter
grief over a firstborn." [Zechariah/Zecharya h 9. 9; 12. 10] Then in
Daniel where HE comes with the clouds of heaven. [TALMUD, Succah 52. 1]

However, nearly one out of every thirty verses in the HOLY SCRIPTURE
declares the second coming of JESUS, the SON OF MAN. To every mention of
HIS first coming, HIS return is stated eight times! "Now when HE had
spoken these things, while they watched, HE was taken up, and a cloud
received HIM out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly
toward heaven as HE went up, behold, two men stood by them in white
apparel, who also said — Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up
into heaven? This same JESUS, WHO was taken up from you into heaven,
will so come in like manner as you saw HIM go into heaven." [Acts 1. 9 -
11]

These two men in white apparel were angels who announced the return of
JESUS. The angels were not mistaken when they announced the MESSIAH'S
first advent. From Enoch down to the last prophet declared the second
appearing of the LORD YESHUA. The HOLY SPIRIT, by the mouths of the
apostles, repeatedly said: "JESUS is coming again!"

When the disciples were troubled because they were informed that YESHUA
would leave them, HE comforted them with these words: "Let not your
heart be troubled; you believe in GOD, believe also in ME. In MY
FATHER'S house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told
you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place
for you, I will come again and receive you to MYSELF; that where I am,
there you may be also." [John 14. 1 - 3] GOD'S WORD is true! Heaven
and earth shall pass away, but HIS WORD shall stand forever. "GOD is
not a man, that HE should lie or be capricious, nor mortal to change HIS
mind. Would HE speak and not act, promise and not fulfill?" [Numbers
(B'Midvar) 23. 19 Tanakh, Torah]

Some may term the second appearing of the ANOINTED ONE, the LORD YESHUA
as a spiritual coming; but the promise is "This same JESUS." When
MESSIAH ascended into heaven, HE was flesh and bones. After HIS
resurrection, HE appeared to HIS disciples who thought HE was a ghost.
Lovingly, the MASTER encouraged them to handle HIM and see, then HE said
— "A spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have." [Luke
24. 39]

The KING MESSIAH YESHUA will have the marks of the wounds in His body
also. Thomas (doubting this to be the LORD) was permitted to touch the
pierced hands and side of the risen REDEEMER to confirm HIS identity as
LORD & SAVIOUR. Yes! this same flesh-and-bones JESUS shall come again
as HE promised HE would.

In view of that which is taking place around us, that which our LORD GOD
described would occur just before HIS Second Advent. Each of us who
have accepted JESUS as our MESSIAH, LORD and personal SAVIOUR can look
up, and lift up our heads rejoicing, for our complete and final
redemption draws near!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Good Sabbath! "Come, my dear friend, let us go out to meet the Sabbath,
the Queen! Come, O Bride, the Sabbath presence is eagerly awaited, and
joyously welcomed!"
May the HOLY ONE OF HEAVEN, blessed be HE, ever be praised.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Post  Admin Thu 28 Apr 2011, 1:33 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
My blindness is often reassured by what I don't know.
FLESH & BONES
"Behold MY hands and MY feet, that it is I MYSELF. Handle ME and see,
for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have." [Luke 24.
39]
Many deny the bodily resurrection of the LORD JESUS. However, MESSIAH
YESHUA HIMSELF answered those who say it was a spiritual resurrection.
At first HIS disciples thought they were seeing "HIS SPIRIT" € ¦’· but
then HE showed them the scars of the spikes that had pierced HIS hands
and feet. Furthermore, HE ate a fish and honeycomb before them. [Luke
24. 37, 40, 42] The disciples could no longer doubt the reality of HIS
BODILY resurrection. JESUS, the PIERCED ONE will always bear those
scars, however, even in HIS glorified body. HOLY SCRIPTURE proclaims
that when HE comes again, "they will look on HIM WHOM they had pierced."
[Zechariah (Zecharyah) 12. 10 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "Behold, HE is coming
with clouds and every eye will see HIM, and they also that pierced HIM;
and all tribes of the earth shall mourn BECAUSE of HIM. Even so, Amen."
[Revelation 1. 7] YESHUA'S SPIRIT never did die, so HIS SPIRIT could
not be resurrected.
YESHUA, the SPOTLESS LAMB OF GOD used the words € ¦’· Flesh & Bone € ¦’·
instead of "Flesh & Blood" when HE spoke to HIS disciples. JESUS'
precious blood had been shed on the cross as the price of our
redemption. "You were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver
or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your
fathers, but with the precious blood of CHRIST, as of a lamb without
blemish and without spot." [1 Peter 1. 18 - 19] "For the life of the
flesh is in the blood € ¦’· I have given it to you for making atonement
for your lives upon the altar; it is the blood, as life, that makes
atonement." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 17. 11 Tanakh, Torah] Now our life is
in the LORD MESSIAH alone. Our BLESSED REDEEMER said, "I am the WAY,
the TRUTH and the LIFE." [John 14. 6]
Our own resurrected bodies shall be like YESHUA'S glorious body [1
John 3.2; Philippians 3. 21] when "the dead shall be raised
incorruptible, and we shall be changed" [1 Corinthians 15. 52] to be
like HIM forever. How abundant are the reasons for our thanks to the
ETERNAL GOD OF TRUTH for the many precious gifts HE continues to HIS own
dear children!
Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
This is Yizkor Pesah, the last day of Passover/Feast of Unleavened Bread
€ ¦’· be reminded of your commitment to obey GOD in holiness and
integrity of life. We are overwhelmingly grateful for ALMIGHTY GOD'S
goodness and grace to us, truly HIS mercies endure forever. Now, go
forth and proclaim the GOOD NEWS as the BELOVED ONE commissioned while
it is still day.
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The evidence of two witnesses is as good as that of one hundred.
EYE WITNESSES
"Therefore, of these men who have accompanied us all the time that the
LORD JESUS went in and out among us, beginning from the baptism of John
to that day when HE was taken up from us, one of these must become a
witness with us of HIS resurrection. " [Acts 1. 21 - 22]
The most important event since creation itself was the Resurrection of
the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, and it was vital that the witness of HIS
chosen apostles focus especially on this great event. They must believe
with confidence in HIS BODILY resurrection, having been with HIM
throughout HIS ministry, heard HIS predictions of HIS death and
resurrection, then seen the infallible proofs, especially the empty tomb
and HIS post-resurrection appearances. All the original eleven
disciples and the chosen replacement for Judas, namely Matthias,
satisfied these requirements, as well as Saul (who became Paul) later
on.
After the coming of the promised HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD at Pentecost
(Hebrew: Shavuoth), "with great power the apostles gave witness to the
resurrection of the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA. And great grace was upon them
all." [Acts 4. 33] The resurrection proved that YESHUA OF NAZARETH was
GOD THE CREATOR, SAVIOUR & REDEEMER due to the fact that ONLY THE
CREATOR OF LIFE COULD DEFEAT DEATH.
Paul saw the risen LORD on the road to Damascus and was taught of HIM
for three years in Arabia. [Galatians 1. 15 - 18] "Am I not an
Apostle? am I not free? have I not seen JESUS CHRIST our LORD? are you
not my work in the LORD?" [1 Corinthians 9. 1] Only those who had seen
the risen REDEEMING ONE and had been specifically chosen by HIM could be
accurate, reliable and factual — Apostles — for they must be
credible witnesses of HIS resurrection. And, they were!
Peter's eyewitness account: "We are witnesses of all things which HE
(CHRIST JESUS) did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem, WHOM
they killed by hanging on a tree. HIM, GOD raised up on the third day,
and showed HIM openly, not to all the people, but to witnesses chosen
before by GOD, even to us who ate and drank with HIM after HE arose from
the dead." [Acts 10. 39 - 41]
Paul's witness was: "GOD raised HIM (YESHUA) from the dead. HE was seen
for many days by those who came up with HIM from Galilee to Jerusalem,
who are HIS witnesses to the people. And we declare to you glad tidings
— that "PROMISE" which was made to the fathers. GOD has fulfilled
this for us their children, in that HE has raised up JESUS." [Acts 13.
30 - 33] "Then last of all HE was seen by me also, as by one born out
of due time." [1 Corinthians 15. 8; see 1 - 11]
The Apostles were true eyewitnesses of MESSIAH YESHUA'S resurrection and
multitudes have received eternal salvation because they believed their
report. Thank you, OMNIPOTENT LORD GOD ALMIGHTY for JESUS, YOUR
"INDESCRIBABLE GIFT" to us!
Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Our beloved and delightful brethren, our joy and crown, we encourage you
to stand fast in the risen LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH.
May our Heavenly Father hear our prayers; that our long-awaited Messiah,
the Son of David, King of kings comes quickly. And, may His Holy Temple
be rebuilt speedily, even in our day. L'Chayim - to life!
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The most harmful and depraved thief is the one who deceives and steals
the minds of people.
DEATH & RESURRECTION
"I know that my REDEEMER lives, in the end HE will stand and testify at
last on earth. And after my skin is destroyed, this I know, that in my
flesh I shall see ELOWAH (GOD), WHOM I shall see for myself, and my own
eyes shall behold, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!" [Job
(Iyob) 19. 25 - 27 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
When David's infant son died, he exclaimed: "I shall go to him, but he
will never come back to me." [2 Samuel (Dibre Hayamin Bet) 12. 23
Tanakh, Nevi'im] And speaking to the LORD GOD, David said, "Then I,
justified, will behold YOUR face; awake, I am filled with the vision of
YOU." [Psalms (Tehillym) 17. 15 Tanakh, Kethuvim] David knew that he
would be like the LORD at the resurrection. He, being a Jew, believed
in the resurrection from the dead even as another fellow Jew after him
believed and wrote: "Our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also
eagerly wait for the SAVIOR, the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA, WHO will transform
our lowly body that it may be conformed to HIS glorious body, according
to the working by which HE is able even to subdue all things to
HIMSELF." [Philippians 3. 20 - 21]
When the ALMIGHTY ONE, blessed be HE, appeared to Moses in the burning
bush, "I AM"— HE said — the GOD of your fathers, the GOD OF
ABRAHAM, the GOD OF ISAAC, and the GOD OF JACOB." [Exodus (Shemot) 3. 6
Tanakh, Torah] The LORD OF HOST, meant that HE was still their GOD, the
ETERNAL ONE, even though they no longer wandered the earth; they
continued to be living individuals. [Matthew 22. 32; Mark 12. 26-27;
Luke 20. 37-38]
The OLD COVENANT prophets ultimately knew there would be an end to the
grave and that there would be a bodily resurrection of the dead. "Oh,
let YOUR dead revive! Let corpses arise! Awake and shout for joy, you
who dwell in dust! — for YOUR dew is like the dew on fresh herbs,
YOU make the land of the shades come to life." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 26. 19
Tanakh, Nevi'im] "Many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth will
awake, some to everlasting life, some to reproaches, to everlasting
abhorrence." [Daniel (Danyel) 12. 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim] They looked
forward to the coming of JESUS CHRIST, the KING OF GLORY WHO would, by
HIS substitutional death, provide the means of redemption from sin and
death for those who will believe.
By HIS death, the LORD JESUS atoned for our sins, taking away the sting
of death. "He who believes in HIM is not condemned." [John 3. 18]
"This is the will of HIM WHO sent ME, that everyone who sees the SON and
believes in HIM may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at
the last day." [John 6. 40]
How exceedingly important it is that we experience the resurrection to
Everlasting Life, and not be among those who will awake to shame,
reproach and everlasting contempt. Those who refuse OMNIPOTENT GOD'S
FREE GIFT of ETERNAL LIFE made possible in the YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, will
have nothing but eternal separation from our LOVING GOD, "death and hell
will be cast into the Lake of Fire." [Revelation 20. 14]
Why anyone would deliberately make this destructive choice is
troublesome and beyond intelligent comprehension. More willingly,
Choose Life today!
Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Lets celebrate the ties of love and faith that bind us through Messiah
YesHUA, the GOD of our Salvation.
"Be blessed as you enjoy these last days of this Season of Unleavened
Bread!"
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Post  Admin Sun 24 Apr 2011, 11:11 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Hear counsel and receive instructions that you may be wise and consider
your latter end.

HE IS RISEN
"HE is not here; He is risen! as HE said. COME! see the place where the
LORD lay." [Matthew 28. 6]

The LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH spoke frequently that HIS death was
drawing near, and also proclaimed that HE would rise from the dead.
[Matthew 17. 22 - 23] Likewise, HIS cruel persecutors knew of this and
tried to stop it by placing guards at the tomb. [Matthew 27. 63 - 66]

The death of MESSIAH YESHUA, the BLAMELESS, PERFECT LAMB OF GOD, should
have been no surprise. The LORD JESUS had frequently escaped attempts
on HIS life. King Herod tried to kill the PRINCE OF PEACE when HE was a
BABY. [Matthew 2. 16] Satan tried to persuade HIM to jump from the
pinnacle of the Temple. [Matthew 4. 6] The people of Nazareth attempted
to throw HIM over a cliff [Luke 4. 29]; and the Pharisees sought to kill
HIM on several different occasions.

JESUS, the ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD came from heaven to earth to die!
But, CHRIST'S death had to be a special death. HE was "the LAMB OF GOD
slain from the foundation of the world." [Revelation 13. 8] YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH came to do the "will of the FATHER" which included HIS
sacrificial death and HIS triumphant resurrection to win the victory
over hell and death. "I am HE WHO lives, and was dead, and behold, I
am alive forevermore. Amen! And I have the keys of Hades and of Death."
[Revelation 1. 18] At exactly the right time the PIERCED ONE, the MAN
OF SORROWS, did die bearing our sins on the Cross of Calvary. Then
MESSIAH, JESUS OF NAZARETH, rose victoriously, just as HE said HE would!

Even in the LORD JESUS' empty tomb, HE left the sign that HE was "risen,
but would COME AGAIN." When Peter and John ran to the tomb after
hearing from Miryam (Mary) Magdalene that the tomb was empty, they both
ran to the tomb and "found the linen cloths lying there, and the napkin
that was on HIS face was not lying with the linen cloths, but folded
together in a place by itself...and when the other disciple (John), came
to the tomb...he saw and believed." [John 20. 1 - 10]

To understand this completely, one must know the Jewish custom of
folding the napkin after a meal. This is done as a silent way of telling
to the host/hostess that you are "thankful for the meal" and "hope
for another invitation to dine" — in other words, they would come
again. The Jewish LORD JESUS knew this custom and was telling HIS
followers, even using these burial wrappings, that HE would come again.
O, if only the rocks would have cried out, they would proclaim the same.

The resurrection cannot be over emphasized for apart from JESUS'
Resurrection, we have no assurance of HIS deity, no forgiveness of sins,
nor life eternal. "IF CHRIST is not risen, your faith is delusive; you
are still in your sins!" [1 Corinthians 15. 17] "HE (MESSIAH YESHUA),
was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our
justification. " [Romans 4. 25]

The enemies of the cross knew this and are still seeking to destroy the
BREAD OF LIFE, denying HIS incarnation and virgin birth. Mentally,
priests and peoples still crucify the risen LORD OF GLORY and set guards
over HIS grave, declaring HIM to be dead. But, "HALLELUYAH! HE IS
RISEN!" We are assured of this fact — it is the skeptics,
unbelievers, arrogant gossips and contemptuous tale bearer that are the
ones on trial now. They must come by way of the Cross of Calvary for
salvation through the precious shed blood of the BLESSED REDEEMER, or
they will be cast into eternal darkness where there will be wailing,
weeping and gnashing of teeth.

But we who know the BELOVED SAVIOR can celebrate together because our
GOD lives, rules, and reigns forevermore!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
WELCOME LORD JESUS! HE IS RISEN! Not the grave nor any other power on
earth could hold HIM, LORD OF THE SABBATH, the PRINCE OF PEACE, the KING
OF GLORY!
May we live as willingly for HIM as HE joyously laid down HIS life for
us! Oh the love of JESUS — truly there is light & joy, gladness &
honour for the people of GOD, our GOD reigns victoriously! HalleluYAH!
Praise HIS Dear Name forever.
With the ending of Sabbath, comes the Dawn of the New Day for our Lord
is alive and reigning forevermore! HalleluYAH to the King!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Over time, every wave of sadness and joy washes ashore.

DEATH IS PRECIOUS
"The death of HIS faithful ones is precious in the LORD'S sight."
[Psalms (Tehillym) 116. 15 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

It may seem odd to hear that the peace of GOD ETERNAL can so enrich your
soul that it would matter little if your broken body suffers. However,
the body's loss may be the spirit's gain. There is so much we could see
in the physical, as well as the spiritual world if we would let the HIGH
& LOFTY ONE touch our eyes. "The righteous man perishes, and no one
considers it or takes it to heart; merciful men are taken away, while no
one gives thought that the righteous is taken away from evil. Yet he
shall enter into peace; he shall have rest in his bed, who walk
straightforward and upright." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 57. 1 - 2 Tanakh,
Nevi'im] "HE (GOD OMNIPOTENT) will redeem their life from oppression
and violence; and their blood is precious in HIS sight." [Psalms
(Tehillym) 72. 14 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

GOD'S PRECIOUS WORD holds great comfort in time of sorrow, it is a
PILLOW for the head of the dying, and a LAMP for understanding, wisdom
and guidance for the living. Nothing that happens to us is as important
as our spiritual development, our knowledge of the TRUE GOD, and the
growth of our faith. Can we learn the lessons the EVER-LIVING ONE wants
to teach us? Can one ever learn all that our LOVING CREATOR has to
teach? I do not expect to understand, if I did, there would be no need
for faith. It is enough that my glorious LORD and REDEEMER knows why,
and some day HE will tell us all about it — why suffering was best
for us and best for HIS cause.

Meanwhile, GOD'S mighty strength is made perfect in our weakness and HE
"will supply all our needs according to HIS riches in glory by MESSIAH
YESHUA." [Philippians 4. 19] It is one thing to think so — it is
another thing to have found that it is so; to know beyond a shadow of
doubt that when you go down into the valley of deepest darkness you can
clasp the hand of our WONDERFUL LORD — that you never need to be
alone or afraid for HE will go with you on all your paths - and that HIS
arm is strong enough to carry you. "Because you are precious in MY
sight, and honored, and I love you, I give men in exchange for you and
peoples in your stead." [Isaiah (Yeshua) 43. 4 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "The
righteous man has a secure refuge in his death." [Proverbs (Mishle) 14.
32 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Our greatest joy and utmost satisfactions come in our relationship with
GOD, the AUTHOR & CREATOR. Now there are no more gray days for they are
all touched with color; no more dark days for the radiance of HIS coming
is on every horizon; no more dull days with glory just around the
corner; and no more lonely days with HIS footsteps coming ever nearer
and the thought that soon, soon, we shall see the precious face of our
BELOVED LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, "JESUS" and be forever through with
pain and tears.

With the LORD GOD'S protective wings arched over us, tomorrow's tasks,
old pain, old memories are forgotten and into HIS hands, O LORD, into
YOUR precious hands we enter the promised realm of eternal glory. At
last, we will see YOUR GLORIOUS FACE and be forever on the new earth
with the New Jerusalem, the Tree of Life, the River of the Water of
Life, and peace forevermore.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Good Sabbath – the rest of love freely given - a rest of truth and
sincerity - a rest in peace and tranquility, in quiet and safety - a
perfect rest in which you find favor. We bow the head and bend the knee
and magnify the KING of kings, WHO gave HIS life to redeem us from all
our sins, blessed and praised be HE. Amen! Have a peaceful, enriching
Shabbat by blessing others.
We greet you and wish you many abundant blessings this
Passover-Resurrecti on Season!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 28 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Fri 22 Apr 2011, 5:34 pm

HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The best preparation for tomorrow is the proper use of today.

GOD WHO BECAME MAN
The MESSIAH OF ISRAEL was promised by COVENANT GOD to come to Israel,
first as the lowly Nazarene to suffer and die for the people's sins,
then to come the second time as the GLORIOUS RULER and LORD over all the
earth. GOD foretold through the prophets of old that this DELIVERER
would be born into the Human family through the Tribe of Judah and that
HE would also be DIVINE. HE was not to be "a son of GOD" as each
Israelite was; but He was to be "THE SON OF GOD" in a unique sense. HE
would be "GOD manifested in the flesh." The LIVING ONE had promised
Israel that HE would come to dwell in their midst. One of HIS names
declares the same truth, for that name is "IMMANU'EL" or "GOD-with-us. "

In Hebrew, the term "son of" indicates a relationship and an active part
of someone or something. For example, if you would be called a son of
peace — you would be a person possessing a peaceful disposition or
one who engages in peaceful activities. You might be called "a son of
Abraham" — meaning you are of direct descent, or you belong to the
people who have the faith of Abraham. The expression, "son of man"
— means one who shares human nature and human qualities as well as
one who is subject to human weaknesses or infirmities. The term "son of
man" can be applied to every human being, but there is only ONE WHO is
called "THE SON OF MAN." HE is the MESSIAH OF ISRAEL, the SAVIOR OF THE
WORLD.

The LORD JESUS is not called "a son of GOD" as is everyone who believes
in the ALMIGHTY, neither is HE called "a Son of man" as is everyone born
into this world — but HE is called "THE SON OF GOD, THE SON OF MAN."
YESHUA is human, yet divine. HE is DIVINE, yet HUMAN. This is a
mystery and we cannot understand it, but this does not make it
impossible to believe and accept. There are mysteries all around us
which we cannot understand or explain; yet we accept them. We do not
understand how a brown cow can eat green grass and give white milk
which, when churned, becomes yellow butter, but we accept it and we
partake of it. No one can explain the connection between thought and
speech, yet we use thought and speech. So we should not be surprised if
we cannot understand incarnation. But though we cannot understand it,
we are safe to believe it because GOD HIMSELF declared it would be so;
"WHO has ascended heaven or come down? WHO has established all the
extremities of the earth? What is HIS NAME or HIS SON'S NAME, if you
know it?" [Proverbs (Mishle) 30. 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

ELOHIYM created the uttermost extremities of the earth and the heavens.
We know also that GOD'S SON is the ONE WHO came down to this earth from
heaven, the ONE WHO ascended back up into heaven! And HE was foretold
by GOD through HIS prophets as coming again. We read of this ONE, THE
SON OF GOD as returning from heaven in a prophecy found in the book of
Daniel, "As I looked on, in the night vision, ONE like the SON OF MAN
came with the clouds of heaven! — and to HIM was given dominion
— that all peoples and nations of every language must serve HIM. HIS
dominion is an everlasting kingdom that shall not pass away." [Daniel
(Danyel) 7. 13 - 14 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Here the EVERLASTING KING, MESSIAH YESHUA is called "THE SON OF MAN."
HE had been on earth as a part of humanity, yet here HE is in heaven and
returning to earth to receive an Everlasting Kingdom!

Two thousand years ago there was an announcement by the angel to the
shepherds keeping watch over their flock at night. The great and
wonderful day had arrived for fulfillment of THE INCARNATION as GOD
ALMIGHTY had foretold through HIS prophets. Luke's GOSPEL tells, "Then
the angel said to them — there is born to you this day in the City
of David a SAVIOR, WHO is CHRIST (MESSIAH) the LORD (YEHOWAH)." [Luke 2.
10 - 11]

Thus, the angel was saying that this CHILD WHO was born in Bethlehem
(the City of David) is the PROMISED SON OF GOD, the SON OF MAN,
IMMANU'EL, GOD-with-us, GOD manifest in the flesh! This CHILD was born
as a human being, yet HE is called "THE MESSIAH" and "THE LORD
(YEHOWAH)" by the angel who announced it to the shepherds. CREATOR GOD
did come to earth and was manifested in flesh to dwell among HIS people,
Israel, exactly as HE had promised!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
May protecting wings arch over each of you as we daily commit our lives
into the mighty hands of the LORD JESUS. Thanks be to GOD WHO loved us
so HE gave HIS SON to take our sins away!
A blessed Pesach (Passover) to each of you. Rabbi Del & Rifkah

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 28 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Thu 21 Apr 2011, 12:18 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Perform an act, and you reap a habit, establish a habit and you harvest
a character, initiate a character and you obtain a destiny.

SIN'S COVERING, THE LAMB
"The LORD GOD made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed
them." [Genesis (Bereshith) 3. 21 Tanakh, Torah]

When Adam and Eve sinned, the LORD GOD HIMSELF made the first sacrifice
to cover their guilt. Most likely two sheep were killed to make
clothing for the couple, as the Proverbs reveals: "The lambs will
provide your clothing, and the he-goats, the price of a field."
[Proverbs (Mishle) 27. 26 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Because they knew they were naked and ashamed, they tried to cover
themselves with fig leaves, yet their sense of guilt remained. For
without the shedding of blood there is no atonement for sin. "For the
life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you for making
expiation for your lives upon the altar; it is the blood, as life, that
makes atonement." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 17. 11 Tanakh, Torah] Human
works can never make us presentable to the BLESSED GOD MOST HOLY, only
HE can provide appropriate covering for "we have all become like an
unclean thing, and all our virtues like a filthy rag. We are all
withering as leaves, and our iniquities, like the wind, carry us off."
[Isaiah (Yeshayah) 64. 5 - 6 Tanakh, Torah] It is because of our
iniquities that we are consumed; if the LORD had not fashioned the
PERFECT COVERING OF RIGHTEOUSNESS for us by providing HIS LAMB before
the world was ever formed. [1 Peter 1. 19 - 21]

The clothing for the first couple, prefiguring GOD'S OWN SON, was the
SACRIFICIAL LAMB that was pure, perfect and spotless that was willing to
die for the offensive transgressions of the whole world; whereby YEHOWAH
greatly rejoiced to "cloth me with the garments of salvation, wrapped me
with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorned with ornaments,
like a bride decorated with finery." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 61. 10 Tanakh,
Torah]

"Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death
through sin, and thus death spread to all men" [Romans 5.12]; there is
by this ONE IMMACULATE MAN justification from sin granted as we are
willing to accept HIS atoning blood of grace. "According to the Law
almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of
(innocent) blood there is no remission." [Hebrews 9. 22]

Because of the extraordinary price the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, JESUS,
the ROCK OF OUR SALVATION paid, we can once again walk with the GREAT
GOD OF CREATION and our lives can be gloriously changed, just as was the
lives of Adam and Eve. When we really see "the precious blood of
MESSIAH, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot" [1 Peter 1. 19]
spilled in sacrifice for our redemption, our lives also are forever
changed. HIS blood covered me with righteousness and clothed me with
salvation, therefore I shout triumphantly with exuberant joy.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
The celebration of Passover should serve to remind us of our departure
from the past and our commitment to obey GOD all the way to HIS Promised
Land in holiness and integrity of life. The Passover Seder is one of the
most meaningful experience you can enjoy and should be a tremendous
opportunity to express your overwhelming gratitude for ALMIGHTY
GOD'S goodness and grace to us, and to renew our commitment to walk
in loving obedience all the days of our lives. May gladness reign and
joy increase throughout this Passover Season!
A Zizin Pesach – Have a Sweet Passover!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Courage is fear that has said its prayers.

PASSOVER GREETINGS
A Blessed & Happy Passover to all our friends and family.
. . . As you remember the bitterness of slavery in Egypt and the
sweetness of
redemption through the TRUE & LOVING GOD, may you know HIS deliverance
and freedom today.
. . . As you remember the matzoh and the HOLY ONE'S provision of manna
in the wilderness, may you know that HE offers us spiritual nourishment
because of
the LORD JESUS, WHO is the BREAD OF LIFE.
. . . As you remember the blood of the Passover lamb who protected the
Jewish people from the Angel of Death, may you be blessed through YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH,
the LAMB OF GOD WHOSE shed blood saves all, Jew and Gentile,
who trust in HIM.
. . . As you raise up the Cup of Redemption & Blessing and speak the
words,
"Next Year In Jerusalem!"
may your eyes be lifted to witness the coming of the KING, the LORD
JESUS,
our BLESSED HOPE, the PRINCE OF PEACE.
Remember, "HIS mercy endures forever."

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
"HAPPY PASSOVER!" As we sit down together, we all become a part of the
Jewish people. Be reminded of your commitment to obey the LORD GOD in
holiness and integrity of life. We are overwhelmingly grateful for the
goodness and grace of the ALMIGHTY ONE to us. HIS compassions never
fail; HIS mercy and steadfast love is forever; blessed be HE and praised
be HIS name.
We are praying for each of you that an abundance of rich blessings be
yours this Passover & Feast of Unleavened Bread! Remember the day of
your departure from Egypt all the days of your life. . . we each must
take the LAMB for ourselves!

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
One should enhance, not minimize, the importance of holy matters.

ALABASTER FLASK
"And being in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, as HE (YESHUA)
sat at the table, a woman came having an alabaster flask of very costly
oil of spikenard. Then she broke the flask and poured it on HIS head."
[Mark 14. 3]

Matthew and John also tell of this incident and we discover that this
woman is none other than Miryam (Mary) sister to Lazarus (whom YESHUA
raised from the dead) and Martha, daughter of Simon the leper. In
John's account, we learn also that she is the same woman who "anointed
the feet of JESUS, and wiped them with her hair; and the house was
filled with the odor of the ointment." [John 12. 3]

For this loving act of worship, the LORD YESHUA affirmed —
"Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole
world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her."
[Matthew 26. 13] The alabaster flask was broken, never to be used
again. Freely, enthusiastically, generously and fittingly Miryam
(Mary) poured the precious oil over her SAVIOR from HIS head to HIS
feet, anointing HIS whole body. In reality, she was performing a
priestly function by her actions. However, she went even further. . .
when the oils had run down to HIS feet, she wiped them dry with her long
hair. What impressive, amazing, intense love!

At this, the disciples were shocked and called it wasteful; but YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH said, "Let her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done a
good work for ME...she has done what she could. She has come beforehand
to anoint MY BODY for burial." [Mark 14. 6, 8]

Unknown to them, in just one week the body of this SUFFERING SERVANT
would be laid in a tomb, anointed with myrrh instead of spikenard, and
wrapped in burial linens instead of Miryam's beautiful hair. But YESHUA
knew, and Miryam had "done what she could" to show, with honest and open
sincerity, her love for her WONDERFUL LOVING REDEEMER. It cost her
dearly — not only in material possessions, but in sacrificing her
pride and self-esteem; and the BELOVED LORD was honoured, as it should
be. Miryam (Mary) did what she could for her LORD & SAVIOR to
demonstrate her love; a small thing perhaps, but that act was
significant and the moment was one that counted. Have we so loved our
WONDERFUL & AWESOME GOD?

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
We greet you and wish you many abundant blessings this
Passover-Resurrecti on Season!
May YOU, MOST HOLY ONE, be blessed, praised & honoured, extolled &
glorified, adored & exalted above all else. Blessed are YOU, LORD GOD
beyond all blessings & hymns, praises & consolations that may be uttered
in this world. May peace abundant descend from heaven with life for us
and to all Israel, Amen.
"Have A Blessed Passover!" to our family of friends.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
If you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible
warning.

HO'SHANNAH
"Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out
saying, "Ho'Shannah to the SON OF DAVID! Blessed is HE WHO comes in the
NAME OF THE LORD! Ho'Shannah in the highest!" [Matthew 21. 9]

This Psalm-in-chorus is one of the many MESSIANIC Psalms. The plea,
"Ho'Shannah" means "save now." The shout of the crowd was literal and
exact as YESHUA ha'MASHIACH entered Jerusalem for HIS last week of
public ministry. Even though the multitudes now were shouting HIS
adoration, there were many who would be calling for HIS crucifixion just
a few days later. As they gladly received HIM into Jerusalem that day,
little did they understand that they were fulfilling an ancient
prophecy, "Ho'Shannah! Save now, I pray, O LORD! O LORD let us prosper!
May HE WHO enters be blessed in the NAME OF THE LORD; we bless you from
the House of David" [Psalms/Tehillym 118. 25-26] they cried.

The gathered multitude of common people were acknowledging JESUS as the
promised MESSIAH, the SON of David; and the chief priests and scribes
were indignant and furiously irate at this and asked HIM, "Do YOU hear
what these are saying? — And JESUS said to them — "Yes! Have you
never read — Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants you have
perfected praise?" [Matthew 21. 15 - 16] This had also been predicted
in the Psalms, "The STONE that the builders rejected has become the
HEAD CORNERSTONE. This is the LORD'S doing; it is marvelous in our
sight." [Psalms (Tehillym) 118. 22 - 23 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

As a result of this denial by the principal leaders of HIS people,
YESHUA ha'MASHIACH wept over Jerusalem and was forced to prophesy its
coming judgment, once again quoting an ancient prophecy, "O Jerusalem,
Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent
to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen
gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! See! your
house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see ME no
more till you say — Blessed is HE WHO comes in the NAME OF THE
LORD!" [Matthew 23. 37 - 39]

One glorious day, and that very soon, the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA will be
revealed as the great HEAD CORNERSTONE and all HIS people will
acknowledge HIM as LORD. While there is still time, the proper prayer
for each unsaved person to pray today is still — "Ho'Shannah! Save
now, O LORD." Perhaps tomorrow, but assuredly soon, the time will come
when the LORD JESUS CHRIST indeed will return. But, for those who do
not repent, it will be too late and they will perish.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
May protecting wings arch over each of you as we daily commit our lives
into the mighty hands of the LORD JESUS. Thanks be to GOD WHO loved us
so HE gave HIS SON to take our sins away!
A blessed Pesach (Passover) to all of you. Rabbi Del & Rifkah

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.
