ISIS Warns Muslims ‘Stay Away From Christian Gatherings’, Warns of Coming Attacks!

The terror group known as Islamic State or ISIS is warning Egyptian Muslims to avoid going to places where Christian meet. “We are warning you to stay away from Christian gatherings,” an unnamed ISIS leader said. He also told Muslims to avoid “gatherings of the army and the police, and the areas that have political government facilities.”

The warning, which appeared on a jihadi messaging platform, also suggested that the terror group is planning to launch more attacks on so-called “legitimate targets” such as churches and Christian businesses. In recent weeks, ISIS has focused on Egypt’s northern Sinai region, targeting religious minorities and putting more pressure on the country’s security forces.

Three suicide bombers have killed at least 28 and wounded 60 in a ‘major, co-ordinated’ attack at Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport, opening fire with AK-47s and sparking a shoot-out with security personnel before blowing themselves up.
Eyewitnesses have told how a hero policeman wrestled a suicide bomber to the ground just seconds before he detonated his explosives at the entrance to the airport’s international arrivals terminal.
It is believed the men were trying to pass through the airport’s security x-ray machines at the entrance to the airport when they were stopped by security officers, and carried out their lethal attack.
Reports tonight claim that ISIS is to blame for the attack, according to Turkey’s Dogan news agency citing police sources.
Turkish Airlines is the official airline partner to the Euro 2016 football tournament, being held in France.

Suicide bombers open fire before detonating their explosives at Turkey’s biggest airport.
At least 28 people have been killed and 60 wounded in twin explosions at the main airport in Istanbul, the city’s governor has said.
Two attackers opened fire before blowing themselves up at the entrance to Istanbul Ataturk Airport’s international terminal, an official said, citing information from the interior ministry.
Authorities believe there could have up to three suicide bombers, Turkish media is reporting.
Police fired shots to try to stop the attackers but they detonated their explosives, the official said.

A witness told NBC News that he saw a police officer diving to tackle one of the attackers – who then detonated his bomb.
The explosions are understood to have happened at the arrivals hall before the attackers would have gone through security checks, officials said.

Speaking in parliament earlier, justice minister Bekir Bozdag said 10 people were killed and around 20 wounded according to a preliminary toll.
He said he had he could only confirm one attacker based on initial information.
“According to information I have received, at the entrance to the Ataturk Airport international terminal a terrorist first opened fire with a Kalashnikov and then blew themself up,” Mr Bozdag said.

Pictures posted on social media showed wounded people lying on the ground inside and outside the terminal buildings.
Other social media footage showed crowds of people stuck inside shops at the airport.
Taxis were ferrying the wounded from the hospital and witness Ercan Ceyhan told CNN Turk he saw around 30 ambulances rush to the scene.
Flights to the airport have been diverted.
The attacks include two bombings in Istanbul targeting tourists. Authorities blamed IS for the blasts.

France Closes Down Mosques; 334 War Grade Weapons Found

 Police investigating the Paris terror attacks have shut down three mosques in a series of raids to close the net on Islamic extremists, the Express reports.

France has been under a state of emergency since 130 people were killed in a series of terror attacks in Paris on November 13. Since then, some 2,235 homes and buildings have been raided, 232 people taken into custody, and 334 weapons confiscated.

The number of weapons apprehended so far is reported as “staggering.”

In a 15 day period, authorities have seized one-third of the quantity of war-grade weapons that are normally seized in a year.

This latest raid comes as authorities in a number of European countries crackdown on mosques suspected of being a breeding ground for extremists cells operating in the continent.
This week German authorities expressed concern refugees might be susceptible to radicalisation by Muslim extremists, who are using religion as an excuse to get closer to the new arrivals from Syria and other parts of the Middle East.

Thanks to ISIS and their international supporters, the entire nation of Syria has been destroyed. An entire culture, the Assyrian people, have been wiped out along with most of their 5,000 plus year old heritage, all in the name of Allah and his prophet. The damage they have done is worse than all of the previous rulers in that area be it the Turks, Mongolians, Persians, or Arabs. Millions of people have been displaced or dead. And all these cowards want to think about is fast food and fried chicken as they are fleeing to Europe in fear for their lives.

More than 150 foreign-born militants have so far registered with their respective embassies in neighbouring Turkey in the hope of returning to Europe, in a sign that frustration and fear is spreading.

ISIS continues to cede territory in Fallujah, west of the Iraqi capital Baghdad, as well besieged towns in the north of Syria.

The group is witnessing its biggest wave of desertions since its formation and rise to prominence in 2014.

Some are contacting their embassies in Turkey directly asking for permission to return home.

Others are sending desperate notes pleading for help in escaping ISIS-held towns and cities.

Last month, Express.co.uk reported on a British man fighting with ISIS in Syria complained about the lack of home comforts.

The jihadi, named Abu Abdullah Britani, complained about the lack of fast food options including Greggs bakery and Morley’s fried chicken.

Panicked ISIS leaders have taken to burying deserters alive or burning their to death with acid in a bid to stem the flow of fleeing recruits.

I do not have sympathy for these people in this regard. These people knew what they were getting into. They joined for the same reasons Muhammad was able to attract so many followers to his Islamic movement- PMS- Power, Money and Sex. Basically, they joined so they could get rich and have “fun” doing it at the same time, and do so at the expense of Christians. They wanted to make war against Christians, and this was their grand chance to do it.

At the same time, there is also the US involvement. As I have noted repeatedly, ISIS came to power because the US allowed it to and funded it. If we wanted to, we could have wiped them out in a week. Russia has not only said this, but they have proved it, for with the most minimal efforts, they obliterated ISIS forces enough for Syria to regain control and begin the process of exterminating these terrorists.

Yet this is nothing new, but it is the true face of orthodox Islam. Per its own teachings, Islam came to destroy Christianity. The hell we have seen ISIS unleash on earth in Syria against the Christians is justly called as such because Islam, the antichrist religion that it is, must be from hell and the wrath it put against the Christians is proof of that. At the same time, the American military and political elite intentionally did nothing while people were being massacred.

Thankfully, ISIS is in retreat and the US plans for domination in that area are crumbling as Syria is restoring order.

The four nuns running a nursing home in Aden, Yemen, killed by the Islamic State earlier this month, belonged to the Missionaries of Charity, established by Blessed Mother Teresa.

The Islamic State attacked the center, described as “the only Christian presence in the region,” killing four nuns and abducting Father Tom Uzhunnalil, who also worked at the facility, in mid-March. The jihadists tied the nuns up, shot them, and “smashed their heads,” according to reports. Father Uzhunnalil’s whereabouts are unknown, though reports have surfaced that he may have been crucified on Good Friday.

The gunmen executed Sister Anselm from India. Formerly Cecilia Minj, she left her home in India 40 years ago at 40 years of age to join the Missionaries of Charity. Her brother Vincent, who became an evangelist, could not “escape the irony” of her death. She joined the charity after she fell in a well.

“I thought that if God had given her another life, it had to be used in His service. So I just took her along with me and got her admitted to the Missionaries of Charity,” he explained.

Vincent told their father he needed to take Cecilia to Ranchi for school. He did not “protest much later” when he found out Vincent took her to become a nun.

They last saw her in 2010. Vincent said she helped the villagers during her time there.

“She was helping the poor and old and the downtrodden all through her life,” he continued. “That was why Sister Anselm left home as a 20-yr-old, all the family may get of the nun is a ‘blood-stained cloth’ I had given her to the Mission. What more do I say? As you know, once one has joined the Mission, family does not mean anything.”

Sister Judith from Kenya also lost her life that day. She grew up as Anastasia Kanini in poverty in Kenya. Local outlets reported that she “committed most of her adult life to Christ.” Her family once kicked her out of the house because she refused “to visit witch doctors” in an attempt “to lift them out of their poverty.”

“This was a girl who did not entertain superstitions,” said her uncle Joseph Maswili.

She joined the Missionaries of Charity in 2002.

“She grew up a disciplined and God-fearing girl, who attended Sunday School without fail,” described her mother, Agnes Kasangi.

Sister Marguerite and Sister Reginette joined the charity from Rwanda. Local media has not reported much on their past lives, but Bishop Smaragde Mbonyintege of the Catholic Diocese of Kabgayi promised the community will remember them as martyrs.

“We deeply regret their deaths but stay proud for their sacrifice that resulted in deaths. We consider them martyrs and they are,” he announced after they found out about the massacre.

The gunmen also killed twelve other people, volunteers from parts of Africa. Authorities found all their bodies handcuffed and shot in the head. They did not target any residents in the home.

Conflicting reports came out on Easter Sunday that the Islamic State crucified the priest in charge of the retirement home. Christoph Cardinal Schonborn, the Archbishop of Vienna, said he could confirm the death of Father Tom Uzhunnalil. However, Catholic News Agency said his friends, family, or community have not confirmed his death.

(The Christian Post) – Terror group ISIS has reportedly killed over 150 women and girls, some of them believed to be pregnant, for refusing to become sex slaves and marry jihadists.

The news was reported in a statement by Iraq’s Ministry of Human Rights, which has been monitoring the various atrocities committed by the terror group throughout its attacks in Iraq and Syria.

“At least 150 females, including pregnant women, were executed in Fallujah […] after they refused to accept jihad marriage,” the statement said, according to The Independent.

“Many families were also forced to migrate from the province’s northern town of Al-Wafa after hundreds of residents received death threats.”

Responsibility for the executions is being placed on one ISIS jihadist, known as Abu Anas Al-Libi. The killings occurred in the Iraqi city of Al-Fallujah, according to the Ministry, where the Al-Hadra Al-Muhamadiya mosque was turned into a prison keeping hundreds of men and women.

The terror group is battling the Iraqi and Syrian governments for control over several cities throughout the region.

ISIS, with a mission to implement Islamic rule in the cities it has captured, distributed leaflets last week detailing the rights of its fighters to take women hostage and force them into marriage. The leaflets also apparently authorized militants to force minors under 18 years of age into marriage.

The U.N. and other human rights organizations have accused the Islamic State, as the group is also known, of mass rapes, torture and killings. ISIS has become known for executing kidnapped victims on camera, often in direct messages against the U.S. and other western nations that have opposed its actions.

But it happened for real in Raqqa, Syria, the de facto headquarters of the Islamic State. About three weeks ago and just revealed, eight British SAS (Special Air Service) troops, travelling in an ISIS signature Toyota pickup truck and posing as the wives of top ISIS fighters, finessed their way into the heart of Raqqa in search of the commander’s headquarters.

Local Syrians working against the brutal terror organization, helped in the operation, driving the Toyota so as not to arouse suspicion.

After locating his house and assuring his presence within, the team used a transmitter to send its coordinates to a U.S. Air Force AWAC mission-control aircraft hovering thousands of feet above. The airmen relayed the information to a U.S. Reaper drone, which, moments later, sent a Hellfire missile to vaporize the commander and a number of his underlings.

Once the explosion was heard, nearby jihadis came rushing out to the streets, rounding up residents. Since the attacks took place about an hour before curfew, “gunmen were on the streets stopping everyone, lining people up against the walls and threatening to kill anyone who had helped the ‘spies,’” said one witness.

“The SAS team was moving back to their vehicles after the missile had struck when the town went into lockdown … Just as the British soldiers were getting back into a minivan several gunmen ordered them to stop. The troopers ignored the warnings and were about to drive off when the jihadis opened fire.”

At that point, the SAS team jumped out of their vehicle, lifted their burqas – under which were concealed assault weapons, grenades and ammo – and opened fire.

The witness described the shock of the jihadis. “One was killed instantly and two others ran off,“  the witness said. “The firefight gave the SAS just enough time to break contact with the ISIS gunmen and escape.”

Sources say operations such as these will only increase in the coming weeks, with 200 additional U.S. special commandos having arrived in Iraq last week. U.S. troops and British SAS and SBS (Special Boat Service), the Royal Navy’s elite forces, work together on these missions.

A country that is struggling to rein in their growing Muslim population has recently implemented some mandatory changes to crack down on Islamic terror and devout jihad in a way that some might find “extreme,” but the world should follow their lead.

Since the 1994 election of President Emomali Rahmon, Tajikistan’s government has made a massive effort to drive out devotion to Allah and the jihad, subjugation, persecution, and oppression that comes with it — and some might say it’s working.

The Times of India reports that federal police were dispatched to personally shave nearly 13,000 Muslim men’s beards, a symbol of their religious dedication to Islam. The central Asian country forced men to line up for a quick shave, and it’s assumed that many more will come forward before the policy is completed.

President Emomali Rahmon is fighting Islamic governance in Tajikistan, a country with a Muslim population of 98 percent.
However, this required grooming wasn’t the only measure the Muslim-majority’s leadership put in place. In fact, to prevent the influence of barbaric Islamic customs from neighboring Afghanistan and Pakistan, the country has been fighting Muslim culture with several controversial ordinances within the last year, according to Mad World News and MSN.

Last week, the parliament officially passed legislation to ban Arabic-sounding names, encouraging citizens to give their children Asian names instead.
In the same week, the country outlawed legal marriages between first cousins, a huge social and religious move, since around half of all marriages between Muslims are first cousins.
Last year, Islamic beards were banned, although only recently have they begun to crack down on offenders.
The government is pressuring women to relinquish hijabs, labeling wearers “prostitutes.” Law enforcement has successfully convinced over 1,700 women and girls to leave behind the oppressive, misogynistic custom.
Restaurants are forced to serve alcohol and cannot legally display “no alcohol” signs, arguing that such a policy violates the rights of alcohol drinkers.
Hajj, the yearly pilgrimage to Mecca, has been outlawed for Muslims under the age of 35 to prevent young people from being religiously influenced by such a dangerously devout Muslim country.
Authorities have closed independent mosques and are encouraging imams to refrain from sermons that uplift Sharia law over the country’s governance.
To ensure a more secular, freer republic, the Supreme Court banned the country’s only registered Islamic political party for encouraging violence and sedition.
Although shaving beards might not prevent Islamic terror, it is a symbolic step in requiring Muslims to assimilate to and obey their country’s laws.
While most Muslims around the world will stop at nothing to destroy all man-made governments and implement strict Sharia law, Tajikistan teeters on the border of freedom and religiosity, and it remains dependent upon Russia, regardless of their legal independence.

Tajikistan is a prime example of how dangerous Islam is to Muslims themselves. Although the population is 98 percent Muslim, their government is a struggling, young republic that gained independence after the Soviet Union fell. Now, they’ve realized that if they do not wish to transform into yet another 7th-century, Islamic wasteland, they must physically deter their majority from becoming devout Islamists.

Although many Muslims and ignorant apologists will cry foul about the compulsory legislation that widely targets Islamists, they fail to acknowledge that without it, Muslims absolutely cannot coexist with non-Muslims or even each other for that matter. Islam is such a tyrannical, oppressive religion that its violent and compulsory commands must be restricted, lest others fall victim to its requirements.


It is ignorant to think all cultures and religions are equal and must therefore be given respect, legitimacy, and a place to practice. What place would a cannibalistic, warring, human-sacrificing tribe’s culture have in a country governed by democracy, personal freedom, and equality? Why then should Islam — the religious example of a man who had sex with a child, beheaded unbelievers, took their wives as sex slaves, and modeled that the world should be forced through violence and manipulation into obeying Sharia and worshiping Allah — be tolerated by a culture that boasts that all have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?

ISIS has now established an AIDS center since AIDS is being acquired from their practice of sex slavery. It was stunning hearing about AIDS infection among ISIS members since “AIDS” most often spreads through gay sex, promiscuous sex with an infected person, or by sharing drug needles, which are supposedly prohibited by ISIS. As it seems, that sex slavery is going rampant and ISIS is now forced to screen their fighters and their slaves as well. Logic dictates that ISIS is filled with bi-sexuals who are transmitting AIDS to the sex slaves who in turn are infecting ISIS fighters who desire to practice Islamic sex slavery.

One reporter moved to Shaddadi south Hasaka, to investigate this matter and uncovered the circumstances. The reporter contacted secretly one of ISIS members named “Abu Qatada” who confirmed the existence of AIDS infection cases amongst ISIS fighters. He said : “In the beginning we discovered one case, an  Indonesian nationality, and that happened when he was donating blood at one of the ISIS hospitals”. The donor was later executed.

Abu Qatada, added that: “the security apparatus of ISIS opened an investigation, to know later that the infected member had a Yezidi girl who was sold to another member carries the Egyptian nationality, and when examining the Egyptian member and the Yazidi girl, they were both confirmed infected.
Abu Qatada confirmed that throughout the investigations, it was discovered that the Indonesian member was aware of his condition, and he had done tests in his country which proved his AIDS infection, and he headed to Syria a year ago, thus he was sentenced to death by ISIS for harming ISIS members.

The reporter headed to Almayadeen city to complete collecting information and met the doctor who works at the center who explained that: “Almayadeen City didn’t have an AIDS center before. However, after the control of ISIS, it brought materials and equipment from Iraq to Syria, and he also stressed on the need to check each drop of blood which is transferred to ISIS members”.

The doctor said of one case: “ISIS members  brought for to the center a 30-years-old man who speaks Egyptian dialect, along with a 15-years-old girl who was very afraid and pale. The test results was AIDS  positive”.

Abu Qatada also said: “there were 6 people who were witnessed visiting the infected member’s house,  were arrested and forced to do tests to only discover two other AIDS infection cases of two Saudi  members, who both had sex with one Yazidi girl”.

Abu Qatada also confirmed that the investigation process continued and became more confidential, because of  the involvement of one of the ISIS princes “Amir”  who had sex with the Yazidi girl when visiting her house without knowing if that happened before or after her infection.

Teams of trained killers disguised as refugees were sent by the Islamic State (IS) into U.N. refugee camps to kill Christians, including “in their beds,” and to kidnap young girls to sell or use as slaves. This was revealed on October 24, according to a report, soon after an IS operative “got cold feet and renounced jihad after witnessing Christians helping out other refugees within the camp. He then revealed that he had been sent with an Islamist hit squad to eliminate Christians as part of the hate group’s ideological drive to wipe the religion off the map.” The report also quoted an aid worker saying:

They’re like a mafia. People are even killed inside the camps, and the refugees are afraid to say if they saw somebody get killed. If you ask them, they’ll say, “I don’t know, I was asleep.”… The camps are dangerous because they have IS, Iraqi militias and Syrian militias. It’s another place for gangs…. They’re killing inside the camps, and they’re buying and selling ladies and even girls.

Islamic State Slaughter of Christians

Syria: The Islamic State executed three Christian men who, along with 250-300 other Christians, were abducted in an earlier raid on an Assyrian Christian village. In the video of the execution, the three Christians appeared on their knees, dressed in the usual orange jumpsuits; they were then shot dead by three masked executioners. Before being killed, each of the Christians identified himself by name and village of origin. The president of the Alliance church in Syria described one of the slain as “a great man of God who took a risk by staying in his village to take care of his people and to encourage them in the Lord.” In the same video, IS threatened to execute the remaining Christian hostages unless a ransom — as much as $100,000 USD per hostage — was met.

Islamic State jihadists execute three Assyrian Christian men in Syria, on September 23, 2015.
Libya: A group claiming affiliation with the Islamic State announced the beheading of a Christian man of South Sudanese origin who had been living and working in Libya since 1989. It is unclear when the execution took place. A masked IS figure appears in the video and accuses South Sudan of mistreating Muslims. He does this despite South Sudan having an interim constitution that defines itself as a secular state — unlike Sudan, which rules according to Sharia and oppresses non-Muslims: “Oh Christians in South … no safety or shelter for you except that of the Islamic State,” the masked jihadi says. The Christian is then forced down to his knees, his throat slit and his head cut off.

Muslim Attacks on Christian Churches

Indonesia: Several churches were destroyed by Muslim rioters and local authorities in Aceh. On October 9, hundreds of Muslims marched to the local authority’s office and demanded that all unregistered churches in Aceh be closed. Even though the authorities agreed, on October 13, a mob of approximately 700 Muslims, some armed with axes and machetes, torched a local church. When the mob moved to a second church, they engaged in violently clashes with Christians trying to protect their church. One person, believed to be a Christian, was killed and several injured. About 8,000 Christians were displaced. Extremist Islamic leaders afterwards issued messages: “We will not stop hunting Christians and burning churches. Christians are Allah’s enemies!” In response, local authorities demolished three churches (one Catholic, two Protestant) on October 19, and vowed to destroy many more in the months to come.

Sudan: Two churches were destroyed in separate incidents. On October 17, a Lutheran church was burned down in Gadaref. The building was completely destroyed, including the furniture and Bibles inside. On October 22, in Omdurman, after giving the congregation only 72 hours’ notice and citing “redevelopment,” authorities demolished the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Sudan. The church had stood on the same location for over 30 years. According to local sources, Muslims set fire to the building before officials ordered bulldozers to tear down the rest of it. “The strange thing is that the church was destroyed but the mosque was still standing in its place! This shows us many things… We were asking them, ‘Where are our rights?'” a Lutheran church leader said.

Syria: On the night of October 25, a mortar shell hit the Latin church of Aleppo, dedicated to Saint Francis, as mass was being celebrated. Launched from areas held by anti-Assad forces, the shell hit the roof and exploded outside. Seven people were injured. According to Bishop Georges, the apostolic vicar of Aleppo, “It was around 10 before six in the evening, there were about 400 people in church and the time had come for communion… If the grenade had exploded inside there would have been a massacre. Instead, only seven worshippers were injured, not in a serious way, when rubble fell down and the roof was damaged.”

Iraq: At least eight historic and ancient Christian churches in Mosul were used as animal slaughterhouses by the Islamic State during Bakr-Eid, the Islamic Festival of Sacrifice. The St. Ephrem Syriac Orthodox Church, which was seized by the Islamic State (IS) a year ago, was one of them. In June, IS had announced that the church would be reopened as a “mosque of the mujahideen,” even though the ancient church was later apparently deemed suitable only for slaughtering animals.

Germany: On October 20 in Cologne, eight young men appeared in court and were charged with robbing churches and schools to finance the Islamic State’s jihad in Syria. The central figure in the gang, of Moroccan background, had also uploaded a YouTube video encouraging Muslims to join IS. When the eight young men had earlier broken into churches, they had stolen collection boxes, crosses, and other objects “dedicated to church services and religious veneration,” the prosecutors alleged.

Slaughter and Persecution of Muslim Converts to Christianity

Uganda: Muslims, angry at a former Muslim for converting to Christianity, killed his wife, a mother of eight children. On October 19, men had come knocking on the family’s door looking for the apostate. His wife told them he was away, according to her children who were present. One of the men said, “Your husband has followed the religion of his brother [Christianity], and we had warned you people to stop these activities, but our message has landed on deaf ears.” Next, “[t]he attackers dragged our mother outside the house as she screamed and cried for help,” said her 13-year-old. The Christian woman was later found in a pool of her own blood 100 meters away. Rushed to a hospital, she was declared dead on arrival. A few weeks earlier, her husband’s brother had also been killed after a religious debate with Islamic scholars.

Nigeria: A former Muslim who converted to Christianity revealed his all-too-typical experiences — including how the jihadi organization Boko Haram tried to kill him, burned his stores and his father’s home, and slaughtered one of his cousins, a college student:

A few months after my conversion to Christianity, I received several threats and warnings from the insurgents, telling me to revert to my former religion or face dire consequences. I received written threats saying I could only run but could not hide, which I took to the Police and they told me they would do something about it, but nothing was done… I conducted my own investigations. One of my neighbors whose brother received the same notes because of his conversion a few years ago was killed by an unknown killer…. My family members and I have been marked for death, and everyone in the community denied ever knowing me or my family…

Kazakhstan: On October 9, a court began hearing a case against a Muslim convert to Christianity, facing as much as ten years in jail on charges of “inciting religious hatred.” A member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, the 54-year-old man was led to the courtroom in handcuffs. Several witnesses in the case reportedly testified that during Bible study sessions he had expressed ideas that sounded “insulting to Muslims and the Prophet Muhammad.” His case is part of what Christian advocacy groups view as a pretext to persecute Christians minorities, especially converts, or “apostates,” in the Muslim majority nation.

Dhimmitude in Egypt

An Egyptian teacher of Arabic whipped a 10-year-old Coptic Christian boy with 40 lashes in a Cairo school. The doctors who later examined the boy’s wounds “could not believe that a teacher could do this,” said the boy’s father. On October 21, during the Coptic student’s last class of the day, Arabic, the teacher told the pupils to remain silent until they had copied all the Arabic phrases on the board, which were likely derived from the Koran. When Babawi, the Christian boy, asked the student in front of him to move his head so he could see the blackboard, the teacher proceeded to lock the door and flog him 40 times with a large electrical cord all over his body. The boy passed out and was found drenched in his own blood. Later he was found to have severe damage to his bones and kidney. The boy’s father filed a police report and spoke to school authorities, but, he said, “Until now, no legal steps have been taken against the teacher.”

In late October, a Christian man was abducted and tortured for refusing to convert to Islam. Fayiz Fouad, a Christian, was kidnapped as he was returning from a visit to the St. George Coptic Orthodox Monastery in Qena. He was held hostage for three days. During that time, he was tortured in an “ugly manner,” according to a rights activist: “The story isn’t merely about kidnapping; it has an ISIS component to it.” His family managed to release him with the help of an influential village elder — and the payment of 50,000 Egyptian pounds, or $6,225 USD. According to the rights activist, “The issue of kidnapped Copts continues in Nag Hammadi, despite the fact that Egyptian Security knows where these kidnappers are situated and their identities, and yet remains silent about their crimes.”

In Minya, a group, still unknown, broke into a Christian household on October 21 and snatched a five-year-old child from his bed. They threatened to slaughter him unless a 200,000 Egyptian pound ransom (more than $25,000) was received. The child’s father went to police but they refused to help: “Although I gave the police all the details of the call, the cellphone number which called me, but they still didn’t help us, they didn’t even follow up the phone call, try to identify the caller or arrest the kidnappers.” Unable to raise the large amount they asked, he pleaded with the kidnappers and they agreed to release the child for 45,000 Egyptian pounds (nearly $6,000).

On October 5, after a Christian student stood up to a Muslim bully, around 200 Muslims rioted in the town of Samalout, in the Minya Governorate. At least ten Christians were hospitalized; several shops and homes were attacked and destroyed. The attacks continued until police arrived and forced the Muslim rioters to retreat. Even though the identities of many of the assailants were known to police, no arrests were made.

Dhimmitude in Bangladesh

A Christian priest survived an attempt on his life by three Muslims who had pretended to be interested in Christianity to gain entrance to his house. Luke Sarker, the 52-year-old pastor of Faith Bible Church, suffered injuries when the men, aged between 25-30, tried to slit his throat with a knife at his home in the district of Pabna. The story had begun a month earlier, when one of the attackers contacted the pastor and said he wanted to convert. “I cannot convert you,” Sarker had said, “but you can come to me to know about Christianity.” The following day two men came and he preached the Gospel to them as his wife served them tea. “They said they liked whatever I shared with them. When they left my home, they said they would like to come again to my house. I appreciated and welcomed their forthcoming visit, because telling about Jesus is my work.” Soon the two plus another came unannounced. The pastor took them in: “I spent around half an hour with them discussing about Christianity. Suddenly, one of them grabbed my neck just under the chin. I tried to shout but could not. I was groaning and tried to bite the fingers of the grabber. The other two persons tried to slit my throat with a knife.” Sarker’s family rushed in to help their father fight off the Muslims; his wife shouted for help, and when a neighbor came in, the assassins fled the scene.

Separately, on October 15, about 100 Muslims attacked a Christian family in Dhaka and forced them to abandon their three-room house. “They wanted to shoot me. They told us that they would kill us if we had opposed the expropriation of our house,” one of them said. The intruders were accompanied by police, “who witnessed the expropriation and did nothing to stop it. We lost our possessions, money, and we’re out of the house.”

“I visited the place occupied by Muslims,” said Nirmal Rozario, general secretary of the Bangladesh Christian Association: “They are committing a grave injustice against the Christian community. In Bangladesh, Christians are a weak minority and this is why Muslims are attacking us.”

CHRISTIAN CHILDREN MURDERED FOR REFUSING ISLAMIC CONVERSION: ‘WE LOVE JESUS’

Sometimes the stories I feel compelled to write about seem like “too much.” I have felt my heart break numerous times since I began writing for Eagle Rising… and this is one of those hard stories.

The Reverend Canon Andrew White is the Anglican Vicar of Baghdad, and he’s become famous for being one of the few sources of news about Christians from inside ISIS influenced areas. Sadly the news from inside Iraq does not seem to be getting better. Just last week, Reverend White sat down for an interview with the Christian Broadcast Network (CBN) to talk about some of the brutal methods ISIS is using to wipe out Christianity in Iraq and Syria.

ISIS is constantly looking for ways to terrorize the local population (and the rest of the world). They’ve accomplished this by being merciless and violent, but they’ve also used shame. ISIS has done their job well, pushing more than 250,000 Christians into Kurdish controlled Northern Iraq.

Rev. White recounted two particularly horrifying stories from occupied Iraq. Both stories were of ISIS’ attempts to force their non-Muslim victims to convert to Islam and both have terrible endings – one of violence and one of shame.



First the Reverend recounted the story of four Iraqi Christian children, all under the age of 15, who were beheaded by ISIS after refusing to renounce their faith. The told the ISIS murderers that they would always “love” and “follow” Jesus.

ISIS turned up and they said to the children, ‘you say the words that you will follow Muhammad.’ The Children, all under 15, four of them, they said, ‘no, we love Yasua [Jesus]. We have always loved Yasua. We have always followed Yasua. Yasua has always been with us. [The Militants] said, ‘say the words!’ [The Children] said, ‘no, we can’t do that.’ They chopped all their heads off. How do you respond to that? You just cry. They are my children. That is what we have been going through. That is what we are going through.
Oh, how my heart breaks for my little brothers and sisters in the faith. I have no words to describe the kind of sorrow I felt when first reading Brother White’s account. The suffering, the pain, the terror that our brothers and sisters are enduring half a world away is horrific. Yet, here we sit in comfort, unconcerned with their pain as we allow our politicians to waste our tax dollars on ridiculous “studies” and hopeless programs. Instead, we could be using that money to help save our fellow Christians… and others being persecuted by the monsters at ISIS.

The second story that Rev. White recounted was of a father who was faced with a similarly twisted choice.

ISIS attacked a Christian family and demanded that the father say the words of conversion and convert to Islam… or they would behead his children. The father agonized, but in the end said the words of conversion and saved his family. He then called Reverend White in shame and despair…

[Militants] say to one man, an adult, ‘you say the words of conversion or we will kill all of your children.’ He was desperate. He said the words. Then he phoned me and said ‘[Father], I said the words, does that mean Yasua doesn’t love me anymore? I have always loved Yasua. I said those words because I couldn’t see my children be killed.’ I said, ‘Jesus still loves you. He will always love you.’
I cannot imagine the terrible feeling of having to make a choice like that – even if I knew that my conversion would be false. Just imagining myself rejecting Jesus, who has done so much for me and loved me so well, turns my stomach… but coupled with the thought of these monsters threatening my children? It’s sickening. I pray for peace for this brother and that he would realize that he has no shame to bear, because it has already been borne by our Savior.

ISIS mistreatment of children and religious minorities goes well beyond just the forced Islamic conversions. White noted that many children, not just the four he previously mentioned, are being either beheaded and their bodies cut in half.

In addition, Yazidi refugees interviewed by the Daily Mail say that ISIS not only systematically kills yazidi and Christian men and women, they have also brutally cut the throats of babies. One 13-year-old Yazidi from one particular Yazidi village claims that the militants killed over 100 kids from his village.

ISIS militants are also kidnapping and selling off baby girls as sex slaves. A recent pricing guide released by Islamic State leadership reveals that Christian and Yazidi girls aged 1 to 9 years old are being sold as sex slaves for just $172.
We live in a broken and disgusting world. I wonder if you understand that the people who have fallen under the persecution of ISIS are just like you and me… only they live in the Middle East. These are men and women, husbands, mothers, sons, daughters, businessmen, teachers, farmers, doctors, lawyers, shopkeepers, people with families, friends and dreams. These are not just Muslims, but CHRISTIANS, who worship at their local church on Sunday and pray before for their children’s futures. These people are our family and they are dying horribly gruesome and painful deaths. Who will speak for them? We must help. We must.

As Parliament votes on whether or not to bomb Syria, church leader Chris Goswami wonders what Jesus would do

During apartheid in South Africa the authorities tried many times to demolish a certain small shanty town. One morning when most of the men had left, the army arrived with bulldozers and told the inhabitants they had 5 minutes to leave before the town was flattened. The women however, sensing that the army were mainly youths, did something unexpected. They formed a line before the bulldozers, removed their clothes and refused to move. The fledgling army boys fled in terror!

After the First World War in the southern United States the Klu Klux Klan re-emerged. In a climate of fear and suspicion it was easy for them to terrorise, lynch and burn former black slaves. In the end the KKK was defeated, but not by weapons or even arguments. They were defeated by ridicule. Their organisation was infiltrated and over several years their structures and plans, their secret signs and code-words were documented. Simultaneously a radio journalist began broadcasting the KKK's activities to millions of American adults. Even the producers of Superman got involved depicting the KKK as a new enemy, and broadcasting KKK code-words to millions of children. Most Americans found this hilarious. The KKK’s attendance fell as they became a national joke. 

What do stories like this have in common?

Society tells us there are two responses to violence: Fight or Flight. But there is a third way. Jesus introduced it in his often misunderstood dialogue on turning the other cheek, giving your assailant your coat as well as your shirt, and walking two miles when a Roman soldier ordered you to walk one. It's called militant nonviolence.

These examples are not Jesus saying 'be a doormat, let people to abuse you'.  As theologian Walter Wink explains, a Roman soldier could ask a native citizen to carry his pack 1 mile. But it was a significant misdemeanor to make a citizen carry it further.  A Roman solider could get into disciplinary bother (as well as being made to look slightly ridiculous) if his superior officer discovered he had compelled a civilian to carry his pack more than a mile.

So Jesus says 'insist on carrying it 2 miles – make trouble!' This is militant nonviolence and the people of his day understood these examples. He taught that our response to evil in this world does not have to be fight or flight. There is a third way. Militant nonviolence:

Is subversive, yet it takes the moral high ground
Forces one’s opponent into a situation for which they are unprepared
Finds the creative alternative to violence – often using ridicule or humour
Yes, but we want to bomb Syria don’t we?

After an incident such as Paris - yes we do. I do. A part of me wants to see 'somebody pay'. If somebody somewhere gets bombed we will feel better, right? But this is an emotive response. We must be clear that bombing Syria (and the French, Russians and Americans have already bombed it) doesn’t solve the problem and plays into the very plans of ISIS. We will inevitably kill innocent Muslims and we will become increasingly suspicious of Muslim refugees and communities in our midst. It then becomes easy (and even truthful) for ISIS to portray coalition bombing as a holy war against all Muslims. And it doesn’t even hurt ISIS - we already know they are happy to die for their cause and there are more to take their place.

This is a war of intelligence. ISIS play it well. Vive la propagande!

What could militant nonviolence look like with ISIS?

Firstly, yes we should pursue individuals suspected of terrorist acts where we can. But after that this is a sophisticated war of minds, and minds are changed by making then deeply uncomfortable. Some suggestions:

Match and surpass their propaganda war – ISIS videos are well made, widely available and compelling. We need to portray the reality of ISIS. Websites, messaging apps and social media are at the heart of ISIS. Damage can be inflicted here. My former company had a product to stress-test websites – and it sometimes involved knocking them out - 'denial of service'. If TalkTalk and AshleyMadison can be hacked…?
It is said that ISIS have revenues of $2m per day from oil – can’t we disrupt that?
Positively welcome refugees – most are Muslims, their desire to live in the West is embarrassing to ISIS. Encourage Muslim neighbours and colleagues to socialise with non Muslims – the opposite to segregation. Demonstrations of unity undermine ISIS.
And let’s stop calling them Islamic State, which offends most Muslims, and call them something more appropriate.
We started with an imaginary letter from ISIS. But there is a real letter. An appallingly beautiful letter, and a compelling example of militant nonviolence. It’s from victim Antoine Leiris and it's titled 'I will not give you the gift of hating you'.

In a world that sees limited possibilities, Christians are called to think differently.

Tornado reconnaissance jets, a naval frigate and up to 1,200 troops will be sent to the region to tackle ISIS after Germany vowed a tougher response to the jihadi regime in the wake of the Paris attacks.

Up to six Tornado jets will provide aerial refuelling and satellite images rather than carrying out direct bombing missions. 

Army chief of staff General Volker Wieker said on Sunday the military force would be mobilised “very quickly” once German MPs had given it the go-ahead. 

A leaked statement from the German Cabinet read: “The German contribution serves the fight against terrorism under the auspices of the alliance against ISIS and is aimed at supporting in particular France, Iraq and the international alliance in its fight against ISIS.”

The agreed package, which still requires parliamentary approval, would last for one year at a cost of 134 million euros (£94m).
But German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier described the 1,200 soldiers as "an upper limit, with a buffer zone". 

He continued: “I do not think that we will have that many soldiers deployed abroad at the same time."

The frigate could be used to protect the French aircraft carrier Charles De Gaulle, which is stationed in the eastern Mediterranean.

Germany has seen a rise in extremist Islamists based in the country, with some estimates putting the number of ISIS sympathisers based there at 7,900, and fears have been heightened about the threat from jihadists since the shootings and bombings in France.
But the country’s defence minister has ruled out any cooperation between German forces and President Bashar al-Assad or his troops.

Ursula von der Leyen said: "The top line is: there will be no cooperation with Assad and no cooperation with troops under his command.”

However, that did not exclude the possibility of including some of those currently on Assad's side in a long-term solution for the country, she said.

"We must avoid the collapse of the state of Syria but let me be clear - there will be no future with Assad," she stressed.

Since the Second World War, Germans have been reluctant to join military missions overseas and had previously resisted a direct involvement in Syria. 

Germany's Bundestag lower house of parliament is expected to vote on the deployment on Wednesday - the same day that British MPs will also vote on joining air strikes on Syria.

Secret Pentagon Report Reveals US "Created" ISIS As A "Tool" To Overthrow Syria's President Assad

From the first sudden, and quite dramatic, appearance of the fanatical Islamic group known as ISIS which was largely unheard of until a year ago, on the world's stage and which promptly replaced the worn out and tired al Qaeda as the world's terrorist bogeyman, we suggested that the "straight to beheading YouTube clip" purpose behind the Saudi Arabia-funded Islamic State was a simple one: use the Jihadists as the vehicle of choice to achieve a political goal: depose of Syria's president Assad, who for years has stood in the way of a critical Qatari natural gas pipeline, one which could dethrone Russia as Europe's dominant - and belligerent - source of energy, reaching an interim climax with the unsuccessful Mediterranean Sea military build up of 2013, which nearly resulted in quasi-world war.

The narrative and the plotline were so transparent, even Russia saw right through them. Recall from September of last year:

If the West bombs Islamic State militants in Syria without consulting Damascus, LiveLeak reports that the anti-ISIS alliance may use the occasion to launch airstrikes against President Bashar Assad’s forces, according to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. Clearly comprehending that Obama's new strategy against ISIS in Syria is all about pushing the Qatar pipeline through (as was the impetus behind the 2013 intervention push), Russia is pushing back noting that the it is using ISIS as a pretext for bombing Syrian government forces and warning that "such a development would lead to a huge escalation of conflict in the Middle East and North Africa."
But it's one thing to speculate; it's something entirely different to have hard proof.

And while speculation was rife that just like the CIA-funded al Qaeda had been used as a facade by the US to achieve its own geopolitical and national interests over the past two decades, so ISIS was nothing more than al Qaeda 2.0, there was no actual evidence of just this.

That may all have changed now when a declassified secret US government document obtained by the public interest law firm, Judicial Watch, shows that Western governments deliberately allied with al-Qaeda and other Islamist extremist groups to topple Syrian dictator Bashir al-Assad.

According to investigative reporter Nafeez Ahmed in Medium, the "leaked document reveals that in coordination with the Gulf states and Turkey, the West intentionally sponsored violent Islamist groups to destabilize Assad, despite anticipating that doing so could lead to the emergence of an ‘Islamic State’ in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

According to the newly declassified US document, the Pentagon foresaw the likely rise of the ‘Islamic State’ as a direct consequence of the strategy, but described this outcome as a strategic opportunity to “isolate the Syrian regime.” 
And not just that: as we reported last week, now that ISIS is running around the middle east, cutting people's heads of in 1080p quality and Hollywood-quality (perhaps literally) video, the US has a credible justification to sell billions worth of modern, sophisticated weapons in the region in order to "modernize" and "replenish" the weapons of such US allies as Saudi Arabia, Israel and Iraq.

But that the US military-industrial complex is a winner every time war breaks out anywhere in the world (usually with the assistance of the CIA) is clear to everyone by now. What wasn't clear is just how the US predetermined the current course of events in the middle east.

Now, thanks to the following declassified report, we have a far better understanding of not only how current events in the middle east came to be, but what America's puppermaster role leading up to it all, was.

Hypocrisy

The revelations contradict the official line of Western government on their policies in Syria, and raise disturbing questions about secret Western support for violent extremists abroad, while using the burgeoning threat of terror to justify excessive mass surveillance and crackdowns on civil liberties at home.

Among the batch of documents obtained by Judicial Watch through a federal lawsuit, released earlier this week, is a US Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) document then classified as “secret,” dated 12th August 2012.

The DIA provides military intelligence in support of planners, policymakers and operations for the US Department of Defense and intelligence community.

So far, media reporting has focused on the evidence that the Obama administration knew of arms supplies from a Libyan terrorist stronghold to rebels in Syria.

Some outlets have reported the US intelligence community’s internal prediction of the rise of ISIS. Yet none have accurately acknowledged the disturbing details exposing how the West knowingly fostered a sectarian, al-Qaeda-driven rebellion in Syria.

Charles Shoebridge, a former British Army and Metropolitan Police counter-terrorism intelligence officer, said:

“Given the political leanings of the organisation that obtained these documents, it’s unsurprising that the main emphasis given to them thus far has been an attempt to embarrass Hilary Clinton regarding what was known about the attack on the US consulate in Benghazi in 2012. However, the documents also contain far less publicized revelations that raise vitally important questions of the West’s governments and media in their support of Syria’s rebellion.”
The West’s Islamists

The newly declassified DIA document from 2012 confirms that the main component of the anti-Assad rebel forces by this time comprised Islamist insurgents affiliated to groups that would lead to the emergence of ISIS. Despite this, these groups were to continue receiving support from Western militaries and their regional allies.

Noting that “the Salafist [sic], the Muslim Brotherhood, and AQI [al-Qaeda in Iraq] are the major forces driving the insurgency in Syria,” the document states that “the West, Gulf countries, and Turkey support the opposition,” while Russia, China and Iran “support the [Assad] regime.”

The 7-page DIA document states that al-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI), the precursor to the ‘Islamic State in Iraq,’ (ISI) which became the ‘Islamic State in Iraq and Syria,’ “supported the Syrian opposition from the beginning, both ideologically and through the media.”

The formerly secret Pentagon report notes that the “rise of the insurgency in Syria” has increasingly taken a “sectarian direction,” attracting diverse support from Sunni “religious and tribal powers” across the region.

In a section titled ‘The Future Assumptions of the Crisis,’ the DIA report predicts that while Assad’s regime will survive, retaining control over Syrian territory, the crisis will continue to escalate “into proxy war.”

The document also recommends the creation of “safe havens under international sheltering, similar to what transpired in Libya when Benghazi was chosen as the command centre for the temporary government.”

In Libya, anti-Gaddafi rebels, most of whom were al-Qaeda affiliated militias, were protected by NATO ‘safe havens’ (aka ‘no fly zones’).

‘Supporting powers want’ ISIS entity

In a strikingly prescient prediction, the Pentagon document explicitly forecasts the probable declaration of “an Islamic State through its union with other terrorist organizations in Iraq and Syria.”

Nevertheless, “Western countries, the Gulf states and Turkey are supporting these efforts” by Syrian “opposition forces” fighting to “control the eastern areas (Hasaka and Der Zor), adjacent to Western Iraqi provinces (Mosul and Anbar)”:

“… there is the possibility of establishing a declared or undeclared Salafist Principality in eastern Syria (Hasaka and Der Zor), and this is exactly what the supporting powers to the opposition want, in order to isolate the Syrian regime, which is considered the strategic depth of the Shia expansion (Iraq and Iran).”
The secret Pentagon document thus provides extraordinary confirmation that the US-led coalition currently fighting ISIS, had three years ago welcomed the emergence of an extremist “Salafist Principality” in the region as a way to undermine Assad, and block off the strategic expansion of Iran. Crucially, Iraq is labeled as an integral part of this “Shia expansion.”

The establishment of such a “Salafist Principality” in eastern Syria, the DIA document asserts, is “exactly” what the “supporting powers to the [Syrian] opposition want.” Earlier on, the document repeatedly describes those “supporting powers” as “the West, Gulf countries, and Turkey.”

Further on, the document reveals that Pentagon analysts were acutely aware of the dire risks of this strategy, yet ploughed ahead anyway.

The establishment of such a “Salafist Principality” in eastern Syria, it says, would create “the ideal atmosphere for AQI to return to its old pockets in Mosul and Ramadi.” Last summer, ISIS conquered Mosul in Iraq, and just this month has also taken control of Ramadi.

Such a quasi-state entity will provide:

“… a renewed momentum under the presumption of unifying the jihad among Sunni Iraq and Syria, and the rest of the Sunnis in the Arab world against what it considers one enemy. ISI could also declare an Islamic State through its union with other terrorist organizations in Iraq and Syria, which will create grave danger in regards to unifying Iraq and the protection of territory.”
The 2012 DIA document is an Intelligence Information Report (IIR), not a “finally evaluated intelligence” assessment, but its contents are vetted before distribution. The report was circulated throughout the US intelligence community, including to the State Department, Central Command, the Department of Homeland Security, the CIA, FBI, among other agencies.

In response to my questions about the strategy, the British government simply denied the Pentagon report’s startling revelations of deliberate Western sponsorship of violent extremists in Syria. A British Foreign Office spokesperson said:

“AQ and ISIL are proscribed terrorist organisations. The UK opposes all forms of terrorism. AQ, ISIL, and their affiliates pose a direct threat to the UK’s national security. We are part of a military and political coalition to defeat ISIL in Iraq and Syria, and are working with international partners to counter the threat from AQ and other terrorist groups in that region. In Syria we have always supported those moderate opposition groups who oppose the tyranny of Assad and the brutality of the extremists.”
The DIA did not respond to request for comment.

Strategic asset for regime-change

Security analyst Shoebridge, however, who has tracked Western support for Islamist terrorists in Syria since the beginning of the war, pointed out that the secret Pentagon intelligence report exposes fatal contradictions at the heart of official pronunciations:

“Throughout the early years of the Syria crisis, the US and UK governments, and almost universally the West’s mainstream media, promoted Syria’s rebels as moderate, liberal, secular, democratic, and therefore deserving of the West’s support. Given that these documents wholly undermine this assessment, it’s significant that the West’s media has now, despite their immense significance, almost entirely ignored them.”
According to Brad Hoff, a former US Marine who served during the early years of the Iraq War and as a 9/11 first responder at the Marine Corps Headquarters in Battalion Quantico from 2000 to 2004, the just released Pentagon report for the first time provides stunning affirmation that:

“US intelligence predicted the rise of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL or ISIS), but instead of clearly delineating the group as an enemy, the report envisions the terror group as a US strategic asset.”
Hoff, who is managing editor of Levant Report — ?an online publication run by Texas-based educators who have direct experience of the Middle East?—?points out that the DIA document “matter-of-factly” states that the rise of such an extremist Salafist political entity in the region offers a “tool for regime change in Syria.”

The DIA intelligence report shows, he said, that the rise of ISIS only became possible in the context of the Syrian insurgency?—?“there is no mention of US troop withdrawal from Iraq as a catalyst for Islamic State’s rise, which is the contention of innumerable politicians and pundits.” The report demonstrates that:

“The establishment of a ‘Salafist Principality’ in Eastern Syria is ‘exactly’ what the external powers supporting the opposition want (identified as ‘the West, Gulf Countries, and Turkey’) in order to weaken the Assad government.”
The rise of a Salafist quasi-state entity that might expand into Iraq, and fracture that country, was therefore clearly foreseen by US intelligence as likely?—?but nevertheless strategically useful?—?blowback from the West’s commitment to “isolating Syria.”

Complicity

Critics of the US-led strategy in the region have repeatedly raised questions about the role of coalition allies in intentionally providing extensive support to Islamist terrorist groups in the drive to destabilize the Assad regime in Syria.

The conventional wisdom is that the US government did not retain sufficient oversight on the funding to anti-Assad rebel groups, which was supposed to be monitored and vetted to ensure that only ‘moderate’ groups were supported.

However, the newly declassified Pentagon report proves unambiguously that years before ISIS launched its concerted offensive against Iraq, the US intelligence community was fully aware that Islamist militants constituted the core of Syria’s sectarian insurgency.

Despite that, the Pentagon continued to support the Islamist insurgency, even while anticipating the probability that doing so would establish an extremist Salafi stronghold in Syria and Iraq.

As Shoebridge told me, “The documents show that not only did the US government at the latest by August 2012 know the true extremist nature and likely outcome of Syria’s rebellion”?—?namely, the emergence of ISIS?—?“but that this was considered an advantage for US foreign policy. This also suggests a decision to spend years in an effort to deliberately mislead the West’s public, via a compliant media, into believing that Syria’s rebellion was overwhelmingly ‘moderate.’”

Annie Machon, a former MI5 intelligence officer who blew the whistle in the 1990s on MI6 funding of al-Qaeda to assassinate Libya’s former leader Colonel Gaddafi, similarly said of the revelations:

“This is no surprise to me. Within individual countries there are always multiple intelligence agencies with competing agendas.”
She explained that MI6’s Libya operation in 1996, which resulted in the deaths of innocent people, “happened at precisely the time when MI5 was setting up a new section to investigate al-Qaeda.”

This strategy was repeated on a grand scale in the 2011 NATO intervention in Libya, said Machon, where the CIA and MI6 were:

“… supporting the very same Libyan groups, resulting in a failed state, mass murder, displacement and anarchy. So the idea that elements of the American military-security complex have enabled the development of ISIS after their failed attempt to get NATO to once again ‘intervene’ is part of an established pattern. And they remain indifferent to the sheer scale of human suffering that is unleashed as a result of such game-playing.”
Divide and rule

Several US government officials have conceded that their closest allies in the anti-ISIS coalition were funding violent extremist Islamist groups that became integral to ISIS.

US Vice President Joe Biden, for instance, admitted last year that Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar and Turkey had funneled hundreds of millions of dollars to Islamist rebels in Syria that metamorphosed into ISIS.

But he did not admit what this internal Pentagon document demonstrates?—?that the entire covert strategy was sanctioned and supervised by the US, Britain, France, Israel and other Western powers.

The strategy appears to fit a policy scenario identified by a recent US Army-commissioned RAND Corp report.

The report, published four years before the DIA document, called for the US “to capitalise on the Shia-Sunni conflict by taking the side of the conservative Sunni regimes in a decisive fashion and working with them against all Shiite empowerment movements in the Muslim world.”

The US would need to contain “Iranian power and influence” in the Gulf by “shoring up the traditional Sunni regimes in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Pakistan.” Simultaneously, the US must maintain “a strong strategic relationship with the Iraqi Shiite government” despite its Iran alliance.

The RAND report confirmed that the “divide and rule” strategy was already being deployed “to create divisions in the jihadist camp. Today in Iraq such a strategy is being used at the tactical level.”

The report observed that the US was forming “temporary alliances” with al-Qaeda affiliated “nationalist insurgent groups” that have fought the US for four years in the form of “weapons and cash.” Although these nationalists “have cooperated with al-Qaeda against US forces,” they are now being supported to exploit “the common threat that al-Qaeda now poses to both parties.”

The 2012 DIA document, however, further shows that while sponsoring purportedly former al-Qaeda insurgents in Iraq to counter al-Qaeda, Western governments were simultaneously arming al-Qaeda insurgents in Syria.

The revelation from an internal US intelligence document that the very US-led coalition supposedly fighting ‘Islamic State’ today, knowingly created ISIS in the first place, raises troubling questions about recent government efforts to justify the expansion of state anti-terror powers.

In the wake of the rise of ISIS, intrusive new measures to combat extremism including mass surveillance, the Orwellian ‘prevent duty’ and even plans to enable government censorship of broadcasters, are being pursued on both sides of the Atlantic, much of which disproportionately targets activists, journalists and ethnic minorities, especially Muslims.

Yet the new Pentagon report reveals that, contrary to Western government claims, the primary cause of the threat comes from their own deeply misguided policies of secretly sponsoring Islamist terrorism for dubious geopolitical purposes.

US Airstrike Targets ‘Jihadi John’ in Syria, Pentagon Says

U.S. forces targeted "Jihadi John," the man who has emerged as the masked face of ISIS, in an airstrike in Raqqa, Syria, the Pentagon announced Thursday night.

"Jihadi John," whom Western officials have identified as Mohammed Emwazi, has appeared in a series of brutal execution videos, taunting Western leaders in a British accent.

It was not immediately clear whether the strike was successful. But a senior U.S. official said authorities are confident that the strike killed Emwazi, adding that the U.S. announced the strike because of Emwazi's notoriety.

This was a mission of "persistent surveillance," the official said, adding that authorities knew it was Emwazi when they took the shot.

Another U.S. official told CNN that Emwazi was in a vehicle at the time of the strike, which was launched from a drone.

Pentagon Press Secretary Peter Cook announced the strike in a statement.

"We are assessing the results of tonight's operation and will provide additional information as and where appropriate," Cook said.

Emwazi, a British citizen, participated in the videos showing the murders of U.S. journalists Steven Sotloff and James Foley, U.S. aid worker Abdul-Rahman Kassig, British aid workers David Haines and Alan Henning, Japanese journalist Kenji Goto, and a number of other hostages, the Pentagon said.

Emwazi, who speaks English and is believed to be born in Kuwait, is frequently seen in hooded hostage videos carrying out violent beheadings. The U.K. government was notified of the operation and notified families whose kin was executed by Emwazi.

For periods at a time this year, Emwazi was not seen in hostage videos, though U.S. officials told CNN in July that they had learned that he was alive and hiding near Raqqa.

Analysts describe him as grotesque and fond of sadistic torture techniques, with one former hostage recounting last month how his captor made him dance the tango with him.
