BREAKING: Shock Report Reveals Who’s Doing Most For Storm Victims – Media Silent

https://www.christiannewsalerts.com/whos-doing-most-for-storm-victims/?A slew of natural disasters has ripped through the country recently, with two massive hurricanes, Hurricane Harvey in Texas and Hurricane Irma in Florida. During this time, many folks came together to help.
There were a number of groups helping the people who were trapped or had everything destroyed by the hurricane. Although not reported in mainstream media, according to The Daily Caller, faith-based groups — non-profit Christian groups to be exact — have been helping the people more than the federal group FEMA. This shows exactly why individuals with compassion can do much more than big government.
In fact, faith-based groups are responsible for a whopping 80 percent of all of the aid given to communities that have been ravaged by the hurricanes. They have been getting supplies from FEMA and distributing them to the affected communities.
One group called National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (NVOAD), which is 75 percent faith-based, has been helping figure out what these communities need to do next to rebuild, and of course making sure they have necessities.
Greg Forrester, CEO of NVOAD confirmed that “About 80 percent of recovery happens because of non-profits and the majority of them are faith-based.”
It is wonderful to see these groups coming out to help those in need. In times like this, Americans need to join together and work on bringing things back to the way that they used to be — or as close as it can get.
Another group that has gone out of their way is Samaritan’s Purse, which is a Christian disaster relief group led by the evangelical leader, Franklin Graham. They have managed to help the people in Houston, the victims on the Caribbean islands, and are currently working to send people to Florida to assist the residents there.
The vice president for the group, Luther Harrison, stated that FEMA has been a ‘big blessing” to them and the people there. He went on to explain that they used up all of their supplies helping the people in Texas, but he has a solution.
“For Hurricane Irma, the majority of our equipment has already been dispatched to Texas … so our office in Canada is bringing their equipment across the border, and FEMA was instrumental in helping us clear that with customs and getting all the paperwork done,” Graham said.
Furthermore, the United Methodist Committee has over 20,000 volunteers that are designed to serve and help when a natural disaster occurs. They are helping clean and repair the city, all the while helping families figure out what kind of government relief programs work best for them.
The relief work doesn’t end there, however. The Seventh Day Adventists are currently working with the state governments to store important goods in warehouses and help with the distribution process.
The Christian community will continue to band together to help people that have been displaced and their lives uprooted after these devastating hurricanes. It is amazing to see God work through these people and bring more good into the world during such troubling times.
